  Speaker 3: the NFL, which I hate because that's a streaming game,

  Speaker 3: and I do think this is still a good chance

  Speaker 3: for college foe. You've been watching NFL all day, it's

  Speaker 3: a great time to switch over. A lot of people

  Speaker 3: don't want to do the streaming deal for the NFL,

  Speaker 3: so I think it gives them a good reason to

  Speaker 3: not uh So, I hate I hate not having a

  Speaker 3: marquee game, and certainly Texas, Texas A and M fills

  Speaker 3: that bill. State Old Miss I think filled it just

  Speaker 3: on a hate level, even when the quality of play
• 3:42
  Speaker 3: was not generally what Texas, Texas A and M is
• 3:44
  Speaker 3: going to be. But there's also been some really good

  Speaker 3: State Old Miss games in that deal too, So I'd
• 3:50
  Speaker 3: like to see them not give that just to the NFL.

  Speaker 4: But that may be where it's going.

  Speaker 3: A couple of you pointed out about the SEC and

  Speaker 3: the and the eating each other live, they've not stepped forward.

  Speaker 4: You and I have talked about this a good bit.

  Speaker 3: It is impossible to argue at this point that the

  Speaker 3: top teams, and I will put Ohio State into this

  Speaker 3: mix too. Oregon seems a little bit to have avoided it.

  Speaker 3: But let's see how that plays that long term. That

  Speaker 3: the top teams are not nearly as good one through
• 4:21
  Speaker 3: eighty five as they've been, and and Alabama's drop off

  Speaker 3: is not just saving on the sideline. They don't have

  Speaker 3: the talent they've had, and it's and you can't even
• 4:34
  Speaker 3: I don't even know how you can make that argument,

  Speaker 3: which is good for the overall game of college football.

  Speaker 3: The flip side of that is, now these teams are

  Speaker 3: going to go to one eighty five, what does it

  Speaker 3: do who I think that's really gonna hurt are the

  Speaker 3: Group of five, because I still think there's gonna be

  Speaker 3: tons of transferring within the Power four because of the

  Speaker 3: money those kids can get, and they're not gonna want

  Speaker 3: to sit on the bench, and so it's an interesting

  Speaker 3: dynamic of what's go I don't know where this all

  Speaker 3: shakes out. Still not a huge fan of the portal

  Speaker 3: and being able to transfer all. You and I both

  Speaker 3: have individual stories we talked about and want to talk

  Speaker 3: about on the air of guys that are openly negotiating

  Speaker 3: with other schools within conferences to make transfers. That's just

  Speaker 3: bad for college football. I think I miss when teams

  Speaker 3: cared about the name on the front of the jersey,

  Speaker 3: not just the name of the back of the jersey.

  Speaker 3: And we are very very much headed that way, you know,

  Speaker 3: And I do think that's going to damage long term

  Speaker 3: the passion and the heat that is college football because

  Speaker 3: you're not gonna be tied to the players and you're

  Speaker 3: not gonna feel like they love your institution the way

  Speaker 3: they did. One of the reasons Mississippi State fans would

  Speaker 3: take a bullet for Dak Prescott is how much he
• 5:48
  Speaker 3: loves the university and continues to support the university and
• 5:53
  Speaker 3: things like that. And those days are I don't know
• 5:55
  Speaker 3: if those days are going to be there. You're not

  Speaker 3: gonna have a guy who sat on the bench for
• 5:59
  Speaker 3: two years and then split time his third year and
• 6:02
  Speaker 3: his mother passes away and the university rallies around him,

  Speaker 3: and you know, you're just not gonna have that many

  Speaker 3: stories guys. Yeah, because because guys are gonna be gone.

  Speaker 3: So I'm fascinated to see what it means for the dynamic.

  Speaker 3: The short term dynamic is you can't make an argument

  Speaker 3: the one through eighty five are as good at the
• 6:19
  Speaker 3: top end of college football as it's been. And that

  Speaker 3: is why in the league like the SEC, you see

  Speaker 3: teams beating one another up. It's also, you know, kudos

  Speaker 3: to the Big Ten. They avoided some of their best

  Speaker 3: teams aren't playing very many good teams and so they're

  Speaker 3: getting the duck and dodge a little bit of that,

  Speaker 3: And I think you're gonna see the SEC. You're not

  Speaker 3: gonna see Georgia going on the road to Texas and
• 6:42
  Speaker 3: Old Myths and Alabama in the same season. Again, watch

  Speaker 1: It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, because

  Speaker 1: I think safety's very calculated. I mean, that motherfucker is

  Speaker 1: has been great, but their roster just doesn't match up

  Speaker 1: to what they're gonna have to deal when you're playing
