- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, welcome to Trap Souls, TS Paranormal Productions, whatever you want to call me.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, I got stuff falling in the background.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: There must be some ghost in my room here, but I'm with West Virginia Paranormal Girl, Devin.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: So how are you doing tonight?
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: I'm doing great.
- 0:15SPEAKER_03: How are you?
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Um hanging in there, hanging in there.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: My one day off, but so you seem to uh be out there a lot.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I've been following you for a little bit here.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's so many paranormal groups out there I kind of stick to, as I said, we talked before, people that put out stuff.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what's important in the paranormal world.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: You seem to get out pretty a decent amount of times.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we've been trying to go out at least once or twice a month here recently.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: We've had a lot of stuff to do.
- 0:50SPEAKER_03: So um, yeah, we had, I think we did three things in October.
- 0:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and we have something else coming up next weekend.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: So we've been uh really staying busy, and I was just all I do in my spare time is search to see, you know, where we can get in, what's close, what's within driving distance.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: So I'm always looking for new places.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: So do you mainly just stick to like places, or do you like a lot of people do private investigations too to help people out?
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I haven't done any private yet.
- 1:20SPEAKER_03: Um, I I would like to.
- 1:22SPEAKER_03: I've had a couple people reach out to me um about that.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: So that is something I'm looking for in the future.
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: Um, but right now it's just been, you know, no, no privates, just old, you know, hospitals, asylums, prisons, those types of things.
- 1:37SPEAKER_03: So houses.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, private investigations, it's I think it's hard, not hard to get into, but you want to be careful too.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, we don't really do uh really any.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Um, some if someone asks me from work that hey, come on over, can you just see what's going on?
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I'll come over.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I'm not an expert.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: So if there is something I think that is bad, then I'll find someone that can deal with that.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: I'm not the person that's spread holy water and sage people's places, right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: I'll go get you answers, but right, absolutely.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So, how did you get into the paranormal?
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: Well, I grew up absolutely loving everything paranormal.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: That kind of started at a young age.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: We went to Gettysburg a lot whenever I was a kid, so that always kind of that was like my first experience with paranormal tours and things.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: So every time we went, we would always, my dad, you know, especially what he kind of got me into this, I'll blame it on him.
- 2:37SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, we we would go and do the ghost tours and things like that in Gettysburg.
- 2:42SPEAKER_03: Um, and then a lot of just watching shows whenever I was a kid, ghost hunters, ghost hunters international, especially.
- 2:48SPEAKER_03: Like I just was always obsessed with that.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: I loved seeing the old castles and all those things.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: And when I was a teenager, paranormal state, that was a big show.
- 2:58SPEAKER_03: Um, and plus the the house that I grew up in, I believe was haunted.
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: So there was just lots of things that kind of happened throughout my young life that I just I always really loved paranormal stuff.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: And even as an adult, I would, whenever there'd be, you know, a public ghost hunt or something like that, I would always try to book it no matter where I was.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: That's all all I wanted to do.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: So within the past years, when I thought, you know what, I want to like really dig into this and I want to start getting a little bit deeper with it and actually buying equipment and you know, doing like legit investigations.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: So I mean it's it's addicting.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, it is, it is, it seems like you can never do enough of everybody the paranormal hangover or whatever they call it, but just seems like we can never do enough.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: Like I always want to go to different places, yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: And the problem is there's so many places right now.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: I'm sure you run into it that you go to one place and you come out with more questions than answers.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: So obviously you want to go back, but there's other places you want to go to, right?
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it costs money, and yeah, exactly.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: It does.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's not a cheap hobby by any means, but um I am glad you said that because a lot of people ask why I do this.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it's just a hobby, that's what it is.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, I'm not making any any money off of it, that's for sure, but I really, really enjoy it.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: And it is it is addicting.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: I mean, after I finish up, you know, especially like an overnight one the whole next day after sleeping, of course.
- 4:39SPEAKER_03: I'm just just reliving everything.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: I'm just thinking back to every moment that happened, like, oh, you know, and looking back at notes and picture times and things, and you're just constantly reliving, okay, what did I miss?
- 4:49SPEAKER_03: What did you know?
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: Just it is, it's exhilarating.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: And then for weeks after in the evenings, that's all I'm doing after work is just reviewing evidence and just going back over everything, and it is, it's addicting.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Well, that's the one thing is the evidence, like it takes so long because you're just you're going out there getting 10 hours of audio, 10 hours of video, and you know, there's always that one spot that you hopefully caught something you believe you did, and you have to go over everything just to find that one spot, then usually you're disappointed.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: Right, yeah.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Like, I know I saw a shadow.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: No, wasn't there?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: So we got Donna on Anime, Jessica, Luminary, Luminary, Luna means.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Thanks for joining us.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: If you have any questions for West Virginia Paranormal Girl, go ahead and ask.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Um, I believe, well, besides the owner of Old Hospital on College Hill, you're my first West Virginia Paranormal investigator on.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: You don't see you don't see too many out there, like from West Virginia.
- 6:03SPEAKER_03: There's really not.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: Before I kind of made this a thing, I was kind of searching first to see if there was, you know, a local group, and I couldn't really find any, you know, in this area.
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: And West Virginia has a lot of good haunts, a lot of good history.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: Um, there's a lot of stuff to see.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: So I just thought, you know what?
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: I'm just gonna do this.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: And I just started the West Virginia Paranormal Girl page, and I'm like, let's just see what happens.
- 6:29SPEAKER_03: Um, and I, you know, talking with my dad, obviously, and he was on board, and um my my friend Jess, and we're like, let's just start doing this, you know.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: So we just it just kind of took off.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: It's really cool that you do it with your dad because I mean as you get older and life happens, you know, you stop doing stuff with your parents, and just because you have your life, the have that is pretty special, and it's always memories you're gonna have.
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: So oh yeah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Was your dad always into the paranormal?
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: He was, yeah, he was.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: I mean, he was the one that you know that I was watching all those shows with, and we would always talk about that stuff.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: So before we got into it seriously, I mean, he was the one that I would go with to do a flashlight tour of the penitentiary or just things like that, you know.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: So we were always talking about that stuff anyways.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, the fact that we get to do this together is really, really cool.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: It means it means a lot to me, and we have so much fun doing it.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: My dad's just like, you know, an extension of me best friend, you know, it's just we have a lot of fun, so it's equal parts with all three of us.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: It's equal parts seriousness, but equal parts fun, and we're joking and you know, goofing off, and it's just it's really just an enjoyable time.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, you're making memories, that's what it is.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, even if it's joking around, having a good time, there's always gonna be that.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: Do you remember that one time in the bathroom of trans Allegheny?
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we we've had a couple um sarc a lot of sarcastic spirits, which is is always my favorite.
- 8:07SPEAKER_03: I absolutely love that.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: You know, the sense of humor is just incredible with some of these.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about trans-Allegheny a little bit.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: We talked a little before, I don't want to get in too much, but uh it seems the few times I've a couple times I've been there, the bathrooms are pretty active.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: I know that sounds bad, but the bathrooms at Back are pretty active.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, we've had very good interactions with spirits.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Um I saw you post some pictures of the bathrooms and you're in the outer building.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: So do you guys get anything in the outer buildings in the bathrooms?
- 8:41SPEAKER_03: Or yeah, um, so we we did um in the one bathroom we were on, we were in the geriatric building, and um we were kind of set up in the room adjacent to the bathroom, and we kept hearing, you know, my friend pointed out we kept hearing something in there, just kind of sounded like someone was like shuffling out, shuffling around in there.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: So we went up and um, you know, we were talking and we set up and we set up the spirit box, and you know, I'm like, do you wanna you wanna talk to us through this box?
- 9:08SPEAKER_03: And it just immediately said, Go.
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: We're like, oh, okay, you don't you don't want us in here?
- 9:12SPEAKER_03: And it said very simple, like, you know, get the hell out of here.
- 9:15SPEAKER_03: So we're like, okay, all right, we we get it, that's fine.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, give, yeah, you'll spare some privacy in the bathroom too.
- 9:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: Maybe it just needed a moment, I don't know, but but yeah, that was um that was pretty cool.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: And then we had some really good pictures in the um criminally insane building also.
- 9:37SPEAKER_03: Um, that you know, I we had heard some noise and we had walked back into this area and I took a couple pictures, and once I got home, I started reviewing.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh my gosh, that is that is like a person standing there.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: You know, it was it was pretty deep.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: I think, I mean, we've had a few memories there.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I love that place.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: We we did a daytime tour one time that we there's just a group of us, and we all had the weirdest experience walking through the basement.
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: It was really strange.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: It kind of all of a sudden we all kind of looked at each other and all it felt like we were all walking through like mud, like we were just like trudging along.
- 10:16SPEAKER_03: All of a sudden, our legs felt super heavy, and it wasn't just you know, I was with two other people, it wasn't just us, it was other people in the group as well.
- 10:23SPEAKER_03: And it was just just weird things happened, and then in the attic, um, you know, knocking and then getting a knockback response whenever there's nobody else up there.
- 10:32SPEAKER_03: So that place is it's beautiful, um, hauntingly beautiful, but also devastating the stuff that happened there.
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: So, I mean, of course, there's gonna be a lot of crazy stuff, you know.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely a lot of energy in that place.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Um was it Chastity?
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Chastity from our Appalachian Nightmare.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: They were on the other day.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Uh, do you have any recommendations for lesser known places in West Virginia?
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: Hmm.
- 11:03SPEAKER_03: Um in West Virginia.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to think.
- 11:07SPEAKER_03: Well, there's there's something right across the river.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: I don't know that you would call it a lesser-known place, but I didn't expect it to have as much activity as it did was the Ross House in Bel Air.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: Um, that was absolutely incredible.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: We had so much activity there the entire night.
- 11:23SPEAKER_03: It was absolutely insane.
- 11:26SPEAKER_03: Um, and there's also, I will say this in Ohio County, there is an old um asylum.
- 11:34SPEAKER_03: Now it's not open to the public, but if you get a waiver, you are able to go in.
- 11:39SPEAKER_03: Um, just because of the condition of it, it's dilapidated.
- 11:42SPEAKER_03: But um, that was Rooney's Point Asylum.
- 11:45SPEAKER_03: And that place is really, really cool too.
- 11:47SPEAKER_03: It's small, um, it's not a place that people go and investigate.
- 11:50SPEAKER_03: Um, but that that is a really cool place, yeah.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: And the spirit box, when we went there, we were just on the porch and it just was non-stop for the entire three hours, just that you know, just had a lot to say.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: So Ross House, I've been there twice.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: Um, loves love Cindy.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: I mean, she's great, yeah.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: You cannot love Cindy.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, um, did you guys happen to do the antique store?
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: We did not, we did not.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: Did you get a lot of activity there?
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's there's stuff in the antique store, like I mean Ross House, you get some stuff.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: We got some stuff twice, but not I mean, nothing to write home about, you know.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: And the last time we went, we got the antique store now with it, and it was it was pretty impressive.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Um it was a lot of activity.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Um, I would say some darker energy at the antique store.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, so definitely worth the price, you know.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it's a couple, I think 200 extra bucks.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: You just can't just do the antique store.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: I asked Cindy, I'm like, Can I just do the antique store?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Because I got some questions, and she's like, No.
- 13:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that'll we're definitely gonna go back there, so that'll have to be an add-on, I think.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: But yeah that I was shocked at the amount of activity we had in the house.
- 13:16SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was absolutely insane, nonstop the entire night.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Where'd you get most of the activity at in the house then?
- 13:23SPEAKER_03: Um, we had a lot in the basement, um, a lot in um Alfred's room too.
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: Um there was I'm trying to remember the name.
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: It we didn't get him, there was somebody else.
- 13:37SPEAKER_03: Um, and just with the spirit box, we had a lot.
- 13:40SPEAKER_03: We had a lot of strange things with the cat ball as well.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: Um, but then we believe Roger, the not nice spirit, came through and he kind of shut everything down at one point.
- 13:52SPEAKER_03: Um, and he called us evil women.
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: Um, and then we asked, you know, we're like, why is nobody talking now?
- 13:58SPEAKER_03: And then it just came through the spirit box that look at the picture, and he has his picture up on, you know, the mantle.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: Um, and then upstairs in the chinchilla room, we got my name, which that kind of threw me for a loop.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: It said my name.
- 14:14SPEAKER_03: So that I was like, oh god, my heart sank with that.
- 14:18SPEAKER_03: But um, and a lot in the basement.
- 14:20SPEAKER_03: The basement was, and I just I the basement felt weird to me.
- 14:24SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I could say it.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: You're not a paranormal vascular unless your name has come through the spare box.
- 14:31SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: That was a first for me, so yeah, yeah.
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: I was like, Did you say my name?
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: It's a double take.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, definitely.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: We had that at Madison Seminary.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: I asked who they were talking to, and it goes Ryan.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I kind of stopped, and my buddy's looking at me, and his eyes are like huge, yeah, just staring at me.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Did you say my name?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: It goes Ryan.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what the hell?
- 15:00SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:05SPEAKER_03: No, it's nuts.
- 15:06SPEAKER_03: But I I really enjoyed it.
- 15:07SPEAKER_03: I will definitely be back there for sure.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Ross House is cool if you had a chance.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: I definitely do the antique store.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: She doesn't really promote it that much, but you just ask.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, nothing's going on there at night, so she'll open that door.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: You get through it through the Ross House.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: So I don't know if spirits are there or they're attached to the furniture there.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's a great place.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: You'll get a lot of activity.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Basement was nice.
- 15:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we um had a pretty good dowsing rod session in the basement.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: Um, and then once again, um, just a sarcastic spirit on the ghost box with my dad.
- 15:49SPEAKER_03: Uh, it was really funny.
- 15:51SPEAKER_03: My dad asked a question.
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: I think he said, Can you give us a sound or you know, let us know that you're here.
- 15:56SPEAKER_03: And he said, with all due respect at the end.
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: And then it just came across and it just said, You're lying.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: And he said, I am not lying.
- 16:04SPEAKER_03: And then it responded, Oh, angel, you know, we just cracked up about that the whole night.
- 16:08SPEAKER_03: I was like, Oh, she just called you out, whoever that was.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: It was great.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we won't spend too much time, but you're talking about Roger and the spirit box.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Um, when we were doing it, it seems like the living room we get a lot, spirit box action down there.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Last time we were there, there's like two females talking, and all of a sudden a male came over and pretty much said, You're done.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: And it's it kind of seemed like a couple times that happened.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: The first time it happened, also, where you know, two people are talking, then a male dominant voice would come over and pretty much hey, shut up, you know.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not allowed to talk to these people.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: So definitely something there.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Um Cindy does a great job.
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: So yeah, she does.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Um, any other places in Ohio you've hit?
- 16:56SPEAKER_03: Um, in Ohio, I don't think I have a lot on my list though.
- 17:02SPEAKER_03: There's a there's a lot of stuff in Ohio that I want to go to.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: Um, we're we're looking at the the Gill House right now, um, Madison Seminary for sure.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, just I have to book all of those still.
- 17:14SPEAKER_03: But there's my list keeps growing of all these places, and I'm looking, okay, well, that's only three hours away.
- 17:19SPEAKER_03: We can do that, you know.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: That's that's not too bad.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I mean, there's some good places in Ohio.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Um Beller House itself is a good one.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: And I have not been there yet.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: I wasn't sure about that one.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: I didn't know, you know, with the energy there if that's it's it's strong.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's um there's a lot of groups that won't go back to that place because it's a little more.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Um our first time there we had pretty dark experience, I want to say.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Second time we went back, nothing.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Just our expectations.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: We're high, I think.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: The first time we went in there kind of blind, and because they don't they don't do a tour or anything.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: He'll call you and be like, here's the code, go in, have a good time.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: So okay, have fun.
- 18:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: We've talked about it, but we haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: Cause I'm like, I don't know.
- 18:18SPEAKER_03: I'm a little bit nervous about that place just from stories that I've heard.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: So I I don't know, but we'll I'll probably suck it up at some point and we'll do that one too.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: I would definitely go with like five people.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's not it's bigger than Ralph's house, but two might be a little.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, if it gets dark in there, it's kind of a little more.
- 18:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_03: We um we have Prospect Place coming up um next weekend.
- 18:43SPEAKER_03: So I'm I'm excited about that.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: That place is really, really cool.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: That's one right above Columbus, right?
- 18:49SPEAKER_03: It's like right past Zanesville area.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean it's yeah, it's close to Columbus, I believe.
- 18:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I've been looking at that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: I haven't done it yet, so yeah, let me know how that goes, or I'll just watch it on your Facebook channel.
- 19:01SPEAKER_03: So yeah, that I went during the day and just did a tour, and that place is just incredible.
- 19:07SPEAKER_03: You can just you can just feel it.
- 19:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was uh a hub of the Underground Railroad, and it has so much history, and it's just a huge house.
- 19:14SPEAKER_03: So I've just ever since I've been there, I've just been thinking, okay, where I'm gonna, where am I gonna set up, where am I gonna put this, that, you know.
- 19:19SPEAKER_03: I'm just I'm so pumped for that one.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: That one's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've heard different stories like last year, like it's not haunted, they just want money, then you know what everybody says.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: Just because you go to a place and you don't get anything doesn't mean it's not haunted.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: It means they just don't want to talk to you, right?
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Uh Stephanie, open gate of portals in the Ross house.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: I there's portals in every, I mean, depends who you talk to.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Um, Cindy does not care if you use Ouija boards there.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you that much.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: She thinks they're just a tool, so I'm sure maybe some portals have been opened up there.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Maybe I don't know.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: I'm not a Ouija board girl.
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: I I that's the one thing I stay away from, but um, I don't I don't mess with those.
- 20:07SPEAKER_03: But um, but yeah, I'm sure there is a portal there.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: Wouldn't surprise me.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: I I don't mind Ouija boards.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't use them just because I think there's too much human interference with them.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: So I just that's why I don't use them.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Um we were at Grand Midway and Nacho asked me if I wanted to use one or Alma.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: I think it's Alme.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: And we did that and we got nothing.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not scared to use it.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: I just I can't trust the other person.
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: Like right.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Just not that I don't trust them, it's just yeah, it might be moving it and don't even realize it.
- 20:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: It's like dowsing rods too.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I got away from those because I think sublimity you can move them too, even if you're going.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: I do I used to love using them.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: I gotta get back into them.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Um I'm going out going on investigation next week, so I plan on using them there.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but I'm I'm newer with the dowsing rods, but I I really I really like them.
- 21:08SPEAKER_03: Um I just got some that have like beads around them, and they makes it makes it a little bit easier as far as when you're holding it and you're not gripping it too tight.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: And I just you know, I feel like it's a little bit easier to use them, but we'll see.
- 21:20unknown: Okay.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Sorry, just reading all the comments here.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: That's okay.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, definitely get the Madison Seminary when you can.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's on my list.
- 21:33SPEAKER_03: Now we're running into that time where things are getting cold, so Madison's cold.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: It's it's cold.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Um keeps it right above freezing, I believe, for the pipes.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: That's about it.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Um we're going December 5th to Madison.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: Um, it's I think there's seven groups going.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: I'm kinda doing like
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: uh I call it the fellowship of the spirits kind of nerdy you know lower the rings but it it's just gonna be a good time that'll be my 14th time there so I'm like that's too mad but it's 10 minutes down the road for me so oh wow okay that's nice that's really nice so I just invite all these groups up and we're gonna play games and we're just gonna have a good time and games I mean like you could win being locked in an attic blindfolded for a half hour I don't know we will see what a prize yeah yeah you get a shirt or you get locked in an attic it doesn't matter yeah oh that's awesome uh have you ever been to the Mounzo Penitentiary no I want to okay yeah that's that's a good one that's the the closest thing to me um that's just that's a must for sure they don't I was looking at the that's West Virginia Penitentiary right okay yeah I have friends that worked in a prison and they go down there to train they they believe stuff's down there but like it kind of looked like it ends pretty early the paranormal they do we just did an overnight one in August I want to say time wise it went I think we started at 11 and we finished at six maybe something like that 6 a.m okay because on their website it looked like two or three I'm sure they're late yet yeah yeah it wasn't too I mean it was it was at least six in the morning that we were there till um yeah and it was it was a great time I mean I've been there a bunch for flashlight tours and regular tours and you know things happen there all the time anyways um that was my first time doing overnight there um it was it was incredible yeah a lot of a lot of activity that's for sure yeah I'll have to get down there soon I got during these podcasts I have a list and I can never do it so yeah uh the mirror room are you talking about Madison Seminary the Devil's Toy Box see she responds so there's a room in Madison called the Devil's Toy Box.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: It's mirrors it was actually put in there for a movie they made there called the Devil's Toy Box.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: You can look it up on YouTube.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Okay I've never seen it but I know it's a prop.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: It's a room that is all mirrors ceiling all around you is mirrors.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Oh okay it's the first time we did it we closed the door it's so dark in there you can't see the mirrors so when we went back the second time I brought little tea light candles and put them in there so you can see the mirrors did a solo in there I think it's just a prop.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Again I'm a big believer if you ask enough questions something will come so but I stay away from there.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah just because yeah there's other there's better places in Madison to do investigation.
- 25:10SPEAKER_03: Oh okay but I will probably lock someone in there on December 5th so there you that'll be their prize yeah that'll be their prize Michelle heard your dad is pretty awesome I bet that's my stepmom and he he is he's very awesome I like him I'll probably keep him yeah that's cool he's he's he really is he's so fun yeah he keeps I try to ask every everybody this like what is your end goal with the paranormal like doing this um I don't know that I necessarily have one because it to me it's not to prove it because I already you know in my heart I know that that it's real I know things are there and I've seen and heard and experienced enough things um I just want to maybe have a deeper understanding of it I guess um and it's just it's just really exhilarating and I don't you know I don't know that I'll ever stop I just I really really enjoy it and I'm just so happy that I am finally like in it.
- 26:20SPEAKER_03: It's something that I wanted to do for a while but I didn't really even know how to start and it was a little bit intimidating you know like I just knew that I would go do these things but like getting into it I'm thinking oh gosh you know what if I don't know enough so I just started reading and researching and just doing all these things so I could just get in it and honestly the paranormal community has been so supportive it it's great.
- 26:45SPEAKER_03: I mean everybody just hypes each other up and is you know excited when other people get things and which I love that because I didn't know how it was going to be so I'm glad you said that that you're not out there to prove it to anybody else.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm that makes it that makes it real to me that makes you real to me because so many people are out there just trying to capture that evidence.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: I said for followers for fame I guess you want to call it yeah and you know it's real because you had experiences I know it's real because I've had experiences and I always call stuff like I never call stuff you know evidence.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: I just call it interesting like these are interesting because there's always gonna be someone that says no that's not that's not real.
- 27:34SPEAKER_03: So no I'm glad you said that yeah yeah that that's so true there's always I mean you could present somebody with a spirit directly in front of their face and they'd be like nope that absolutely not okay whatever you know I don't I don't care I'm I'm not worried about your opinion yeah I just for me it's it's exciting you know and I I love getting something so it's but that that's it you know yeah I mean the history of the places I mean we would never go to these places it wasn't far paranormal we'd be sitting at home pretty much doing nothing but you know we get to go to some cool buildings like Trans Algany is just a beautiful building as you said dark history there.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Unbelievable building you actually look at the history how it was built the money that was stolen civil war and everything is it's very interesting to me.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah yeah yeah the history is a big part of yeah all of the things I love doing you know my research beforehand and kind of just reading about everything that happened there and just then you kind of know what to expect a little bit too so okay so I'll ask you this I don't do research I'll tell you straight up I don't like to be influenced because you know you hear a name like Roger and you go there and on a spirit box you know it could be 20 different names but you're gonna hear Roger.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: I always tell the owners you're gonna get two for one because if I get something I'm coming back.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: I'll do the research after my first investigation to see what works out.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: So that was your dad that said that he was pretty awesome.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: Oh that I'm not surprised he is yeah he could came on a podcast yeah he that was an open invite yeah well next next one yeah but yeah I mean as far as research goes I mean I'm usually looking into not so much the paranormal history it's more just the actual just history I just kind of want to know what's going on.
- 29:42SPEAKER_03: I mean and then sometimes too you know looking as far as okay what's the best place to get activity I mean that stuff we will we will look into but um as far as anything else it's just whatever happens happens you know but yeah I just I do kind of like to know just about the building in general you know what kind of happened there just it kind of gives me an idea of what we're dealing with so so trans Allegheny I mean I'll keep bringing it up because we've both been there those spirits were there I mean because we're getting a lot of spirits now like you do Ross House you do Bel Air House spirits come from the outside I believe trans Allegheny is mainly just the spirits that were there what's up Canada wolf paranormal Canada I need you on the show I need a Canadian group on the show telling them right now hi Canada but what is the one place you would tell someone to investigate at the main building Trans Eligate oh the one place in the main building yeah it's the attic for me the attic yeah the attic for sure um I don't know it's something about how it feels and just the the knocking that we were getting in response and it just it feels very very active for to me um I yeah I for some reason the attic just really sticks out and also in the outer buildings the attic of the medical building that place just really I felt very uncomfortable that was the whole rest of the tour nowhere else did I feel weird at all and it might have just been because before we went in he was our guide was kind of giving us you know telling us things that had happened to him so maybe that was just like I was prepping for something big to happen possibly but I just it did not feel good.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: I just couldn't get out of there fast enough honestly yeah it's like I don't want to be up here so what I tell has there ever been a place or one time that you kind of question yourself like why am I doing this?
- 32:03SPEAKER_03: Um honestly no not not as of yet so um I just I don't know I I I love it and everything that happens it just kind of affirms it even more for me like I just I want to keep doing this I just I really enjoy it so I mean there may be something that happens at some point but um but not yet not yet I mean there's been times I thought maybe I'm nuts but you know that's about it.
- 32:35SPEAKER_03: According to a lot of people we are nuts for doing this so oh that's yeah I I get that a lot I mean and I have a lot of people say like oh you know I would love to do that but that scares the crap out of me or you know I'm interested in that but I'm I don't want to do that at all you know so it's or people just think you're absolutely insane.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: So so you're your Bible belt area.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 32:59SPEAKER_03: So how does that work out um yeah honestly like I because I'm um I'm Lutheran and I have people from my church are very supportive I don't know you know I've I've talked to people about it and they they root me on and um I it was a few years ago I actually had a conversation with a pastor about it because I was like hey you know I really enjoy this stuff but I don't know you know is this is this bad I don't know what to think you know um and it honestly it eased my mind and I'm like you know what I know what my intentions are I know I'm not out here trying to conjure anything or you know it's you know and there's people I know that are like you're not talking to spirit that's a demon you know whatever I don't believe that um that's just my personal opinion I mean but um I think as long as you're doing it with good intentions then there's nothing wrong with it you know and what everyone else says it's that's up to them I guess yeah I mean I think there's a lot of people out there especially religious that know it's out there they just don't want to say it's out there it's better you know keep your mouth shut and do whatever I mean I get a little bit of slack but again who cares you know we're we're out there having a good time creating memories with friends and family so uh what do they say it's fine they can call us nuts but we all we know the deal the deal is that we're nuts yeah that's that's okay we acknowledge it who else knows there's an evil spirit in the basement and we go down there without a flashlight that's nuts we'll keep doing it that's true I mean being at the uh West Virginia penitentiary the one on the medical floor the um it's like the x-ray room it's always known for all kinds of activity and people get scratched and all kinds of stuff and you know we're the first ones in there my dad and I do it and he's like all right lights out you know we're just sitting there just waiting for something to happen so it's it's fine we're a little kooky.
- 35:16SPEAKER_03: So do you enjoy like the I guess the fear of it a little bit yeah I do I do um which is a weird thing.
- 35:28SPEAKER_03: I mean you get that it's a little exhilarating just like waiting you know especially in the dark and you're just waiting for something to happen.
- 35:34SPEAKER_03: Now as of yet I haven't been physically harmed so I don't know what will happen if that happens.
- 35:41SPEAKER_03: I don't know that may I may change my tune a little bit but just thinking like okay someone you know something could touch you or something could whatever it's it is a little it's exciting and once again that probably makes me nuts but you just I love it to be honest.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: I love that feeling like I should not walk into this room but I'm gonna turn my flashlight and walk into this room to see what happens it's it's scary but it's kind of like you're pushing your limit to doing it and I don't it it's I love it.
- 36:14SPEAKER_00: I love that feeling of doing that.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: I guess it's kind of people that are scared of heights and jumping out of airplanes.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: You're scared to do it but you still do it.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: I will never jump out of an airplane right now.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: I don't even climb a ladder to my roof.
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: I hate heights but I'll chase the spirit anytime.
- 36:33SPEAKER_03: Oh absolutely that's what we were talking about with it you know being Halloween season and all of the like haunted houses that you go to and all that stuff.
- 36:40SPEAKER_03: And I and I went to one but I that stuff bothers me more than being in an abandoned building by myself in the dark because I you know I know that they're just scare actors but like them jumping out and touching me I don't want that at all.
- 36:55SPEAKER_03: Like don't I don't want that but um I'll go in an abandoned asylum no problem.
- 37:00SPEAKER_03: So yeah I don't know uh chassis saying I'm not that crazy I chassis I interviewed for an hour I might have to question that's not SPS I was on their podcast last year I don't know well no that's my first podcast I was on oh that's awesome no so you're talking lights no lights do you prefer no flashlight yeah um yeah so I mean I've been brave a lot braver here recently I used to I used to not be so brave I wanted you know big flashlight on anything and I wouldn't go without light now I'm I'm getting a lot braver.
- 37:52SPEAKER_03: I mean I'm shocked the rooms that I will walk into in the complete dark now so um just comes with time and experience I guess but it's baby steps honestly it's you know I have a someone in my group that hates going alone anywhere always has to have a flashlight won't walk into certain rooms I'm like just walk into the doorway see if it calms down there's a lot of times where you walk by a room and for me that it feels off and it sucks walking in there but once you're in there it's calm.
- 38:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah so just go in and see yeah yeah the when we were at the lunatic asylum the other day um I had my camera and I just had it on night vision but no light.
- 38:41SPEAKER_03: So when I'm looking around it's just completely dark.
- 38:43SPEAKER_03: So the only thing that's guiding me was just through my night vision.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: That was a little bit trippy that was the first time that I had done that you know I could not see in front of me at all just with that and oh something's gonna pop right in front of me but or you walk into a coffee table yeah exactly exactly yeah there's a lot of stuff to trip over to so an SPS how do you feel about pay to play a lot of people don't like it and a lot of people are irritated about it I I'm mixed on it because these places need to charge to keep the upkeep I said you have Adam who owns Fairfield and Madison like majority of his money goes back into those places obviously he has to make a living too old hospital on College Hill a lot of places but there are a lot of places coming up now that are doing it for profit.
- 39:39SPEAKER_03: So yeah yeah I mean I understand that most of that money you know it's a lot of it goes to restoration for these places and the upkeep and all that stuff so I get I mean it is it's expensive to go anywhere honestly but um it's it's just part of it I guess yeah it's a hobby.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: I mean hobbies cost money then you go buy out then you go buy like a$500 piece of equipment and never use it.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: Right exactly exactly I'm still waiting to get my money's worth from my REM pod I haven't had any luck with that thing so I I don't know how people get so much activity off that I'm not gonna lie the most activity my REM pod has has been in my this podcast room.
- 40:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah oh really yeah we'll we'll put it up on a shelf and every time we talk about my niece and Madison it goes off oh wow I didn't turn it on tonight so yeah the most activity I get with is whenever I'm reaching over to shut it off that's that's that's what I get so it's all about that one time though that one time so yeah you throw it out there so equipment wise what do you prefer like what's your go-to um so I I started out with just a little voice recorder and just a little AMFM radio and that was just kind of like my basic starter um EMF reader I do have a spirit box now that I use quite a bit and I absolutely love it.
- 41:11SPEAKER_03: I got it from Gemma Paratech and it's that has been really really cool.
- 41:17SPEAKER_03: But I've been just kind of slowly buying things as I go um I just bought the Medusa's net I'm gonna try that out whenever we go to Prospect Place um see how that goes but most of the time I always just kind of revert back to just my camcorder and you know my little voice recorder that's just always my basics that I have on me and then the other things I just kind of throw in there.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: I mean I have my I have a thermal imager that I use occasionally the dowsing rods but just and I mean honestly some I've gotten really good pictures just on my cell phone too which is kind of crazy.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: So I think most paranormal investigators just go back to where it started like I'm a digital recorder and my digital recorder is 18 years old and that is my favorite piece of equipment I think it cost me like$25 when I bought it 18 years ago.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: But if I don't have that with me I feel lost.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: So um we have the EMF trip rope that seems to be pretty popular now.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: Had some very good responses with that.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: But that's about it.
- 42:27SPEAKER_03: I mean yeah I have cases full equipment that I don't use right yeah yeah yeah there's some things I don't pull out at all the you know the entire time we're there so yeah um yeah I had the REM plot only went off one time and that was at the Ross house in the children's bedroom one time on the bed and that was it but that was that was all I got from it so we'll see which one's the children's room it was around the corner um yeah so when you come up the steps like when you go straight back by the where there's a little chair sitting in the hallway off to the right there.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah
