- 0:13You just drop back into corporate drop out season two. And today we have our first female guest.
- 0:17Sierra, what's going on? Hello. It's great to have you. We. Chilling. Chilling. I feel like it's the
- 0:23perfect way to start this series for us. Always gotta ask first. How are you doing?
- 0:30I'm doing phenomenal. How are you guys doing? Doing pretty good. Looking fantastic. Yeah. Great. Starts
- 0:36my morning. Very colorful. In this corner. We got all the bags. I'm wearing all the shades of the
- 0:41rainbow like I actually am, except purple. Yeah, it's my favorite color. Did I always wear that? Was
- 0:48my first bag I've ever made. It was a purple bag. Oh, my slicked back bag. Yeah. Now we're gonna get
- 0:53into that a little bit. But for the ones who don't know, give us the the interview introduction. Who
- 0:58is here? Yes. My name is Sierra Renee. Hey. Three cameras. Um, I am
- 1:05a stylist. I'm a designer. Um, curator. That
- 1:12girl? Exactly. You may know me as. You may know me as Sierra. I do like a bunch of different
- 1:19things in fashion. Yeah. Oh, and I concentrate. Forgot about that. All right. Let's go back even
- 1:24farther. Where are you from? I'm from Maryland. Born and raised. Silver spring. How long were you out
- 1:29there? Oh, my gosh, until 2022. Yeah, I moved here in August of 2022.
- 1:36For specifically congregating or were you in school beforehand? No, I. So I used to go to
- 1:41University of Maryland, College Park for two years. I was studying um, business management and
- 1:46marketing, but before that, I wanted to be a neurosurgeon, too. Like, my whole life, I was in Stem.
- 1:52Yeah. Yeah. I'm like science girl down. No one really knows that. Yeah. So like
- 1:58growing up when you were still on your like science mindset and journey, did you have like
- 2:04this in mind? Like, um, no. Like at. All. Like none. I didn't think I was ever going to be in fashion.
- 2:11I only really like sneakers. Like I used to be a really huge sneakerhead. I used to, like, resell
- 2:16sneakers in high school and did all of that. But yeah, because I was playing sports at the same
- 2:21time. So I was really only focused on like, athleisure. Which sports are you playing? Um, I
- 2:25played basketball and then like, on the, on the side or like on the, on the other season to keep
- 2:30me like condition. My coach, she had me play field hockey. Yeah. It's fun as. Fuck. Yo, if these
- 2:37are playing well, you guys really kink those like, more girls like hockey, but, like, it's actually so
- 2:42much fun. I love it. A lot of the ladies on the on the on that team for sure. It's crazy how like the
- 2:49pipeline always I feel like often starts with basketball. I like basketball sneakers. I like all
- 2:54shoes. Now I'm in fashion. This reinforces like the emphasis on the passive hooper stuff, because
- 2:58you're the first lady. That said, she went from basketball sneakers to hoop, so we can relate a
- 3:02lot. Yeah. On this episode, going back to like, the science stuff. Were you like the science fair?
- 3:08Motherfuker. Um, making volcanoes and shit. Like. Yeah, like dissecting frogs, like in my
- 3:15internship. So I was doing science, like, my entire life, I used to. Well, I really still love space. So
- 3:21at first, I wanted to be like, a I wanted to work in astronomy, like work for NASA and everything.
- 3:26But astronomers, like, they don't make money. And, like, I'm just not trying to not make money. You.
- 3:31Know? So I went into, like, aerospace engineering for a little bit, but then, like, I hate math. Like,
- 3:37I'm good at it, but like, I hate it. And that's not something that I would just, like, willingly sign
- 3:40myself up to do, focus. On my life. Yeah. No. So then, um, I went into neuroscience just because I
- 3:47fell in love with, like, loving how the brain, like, works and all those great stuff. So I went into
- 3:54neuroscience and then, like, neurosurgery. Yeah. I think my whole life, like, my whole life, planned
- 3:59out 12 years. So you feel comfortable? Like I could never be a doctor because I don't think I could,
- 4:04like, cut someone open like you. Cool with that? You know how dudes be afraid of needles and stuff?
- 4:08Yeah, but it's, like, not that bad. Like, if there was, like, another life where I could do it, like I
- 4:13would for sure. You still can. Right. Um, I would have to go to med school and do all that
- 4:20stuff. Yeah. No, that would take time. So when were you, like, fuck it, I'm doing a full 180 on my life.
- 4:26Um, it was in my senior year of high school because I had two internships at the time. I had a
- 4:33Johns Hopkins internship and a NASA internship. God did. Not. Like fucking cookies. Oh, my
- 4:39God is. Holy shit. That's like LinkedIn final boss. So what? No, I've been at. Vanderbilt. There's
- 4:46been a lot of LinkedIn final bosses. Like they'll be at the event, like. Come on. But let's connect.
- 4:51You know what I mean? Like this with their hand out. But that is insane. that true? I loved it like
- 4:56it was. It was really. That was like, really my steez at the time. I guess I loved it, but yeah, for
- 5:02like my internship, they were like, my assignment was like to assist in building a probe to
- 5:09Venus. Gosh. And I was literally like in. My office or like in my little cubicle. I'm like, yo,
- 5:16like, I don't want to like, do this because one I don't really love, like the engineering aspect. And
- 5:22to knowing that, like with neurosurgery, like my whole like 8 to 12 years were like planned out
- 5:28and I would be in so much debt before I would be able to like, really like do anything and like
- 5:34make money and all those different things. And I'm really big on like wanting to have a family and
- 5:39like want time and like intimate time with my family. And I knew like, I would not be able to do
- 5:44that with the job, with the career like that. Damn. I also want to ask, like when you were doing that,
- 5:50you did the NASA internship. Yeah, I did, yeah. Was that? Is that kind of a job? Is it more of like a
- 5:56male dominated field? Um, for sure. But like, those type of things never scare me, though. Like, I'm a
- 6:01very like I like to be challenged type of girl. Like, I'm very, like thriller. Like, what was like,
- 6:07the internship? Like, did you like to go to DC or something? Yeah. So I was going to the campus, the
- 6:12Johns Hopkins, like the school, but they had, like, off campus like sites and stuff that I would work
- 6:16at. And then, um, yeah. Like it was so cool. Like, I'm also really obsessed with Marvel.
- 6:23I love. Marvel. I'm into. That Marvel. Yeah, I've. Read the comics and. Everything. Oh my gosh. But,
- 6:30um, they have like, so many 3D printers and like one day where I was just, like, not doing shit. Like,
- 6:35I made, like, an Avengers logo on the 3D printers. No. No no. Word. No. No word for like, yeah, what can I
- 6:42make in this 3D printer? Yeah, I was fired. Was like the the craziest thing you've seen at either of
- 6:48those. Um. Like in terms of internships. Or. Yeah, like when you're at Johns Hopkins or NASA was
- 6:54like. I mean, I feel. Like because I was like an intern. Like, they wouldn't even really be having
- 6:59me, like, too much in the things that are actually, like, real world, like, happening. But I would say
- 7:05just the campus and all like the buildings, just like hot. Just how high the security is in there.
- 7:11It's crazy. Like, if I leave my badge at home like I'm cooked. I'm so cooked. I kind of want to ask
- 7:18this this a stupid ass question. Since you worked at NASA. Do you think that that moon landing video
- 7:23was real? No, I don't think it's correct. What? I don't think it's real. Let me tell you. So I think
- 7:28NASA, I think they pay like, like millions of dollars to a production company every year. And
- 7:34why are y'all paying million dollars to a production company? The green screens, all of that.
- 7:39And I think they were overly rushing to get to space before the. Russians. Just for the space. Race.
- 7:44Seriously? Exactly. Like, I'm a huge. Conspiracy. Theorist. Like, don't even get me started. No, let's
- 7:50get you started. Oh my God. Oh! Aw. It was all just fake. Do you think we weren't, like, at all? Um,
- 7:57okay, so. Because the footage looks wacky, but I think that eventually. It does look like we got
- 8:01lucky. But, like, I also am, like, I have a I'm really big into my faith also, so. And I believe in God
- 8:08and like all those things. So it's like, also when I'm reading in the Bible, it's also starting to
- 8:13like contradict what I've been learning all my life. So that has been interesting. But I still
- 8:19love space for what it is like. Interstellar is one of my favorite movies. So it is. My. But like,
- 8:24yeah, it's here and there, but I do still like, you know, going into it. And I went to school, I almost
- 8:31became an astrophysicist. And then like the. Same. Thing, I kind of looked at how much it was paying
- 8:34and how much time I had to put into it. Yeah. No. It's crazy. I stick to. TikTok. I don't want to have to
- 8:39be making like 300 K by like 30. That's wild. Yeah, they're so fun. I just went for business and
- 8:45economics. I just did. A little econ. Yeah, that wasn't fun. Yeah, I get the job done. I was going to
- 8:52be a finance bro. But, you know, here we are. I guess I can't see that in you. I don't know. All right, so
- 8:57let's go back to the the 180 moment. Mhm. Basketball selling sneakers. Looking at
- 9:03space. Telescope. Working on brains. You said fuck it. Yeah,
- 9:10I really did though. When did you, like start I guess. Did you start as a content creator or as a
- 9:15stylist? I started off having like my own brand. So before I started making bags in 2021, I used to
- 9:20like so everything. So I used to make, like, crew necks. I used to make pants, shorts out of this,
- 9:26like woven material. I don't know if you've seen them before. Like, you know, those woven blankets
- 9:31with, like, the tassels on the side. I think I've seen you in a pair of those sweatpants like that.
- 9:35And, like, people had to, like. Or people used to make them and make them into pants and stuff. I
- 9:40feel like I did it very early on in like 2021. So that's how I started. You were. In school at the.
- 9:45Time? Yeah, I was still at school. I was in I was at UMD at this point before I transferred to Fit.
- 9:50That's why I'm here. That's why I came to New York. So you were you were doing this and you were a
- 9:54student. So you're able to do both. Yeah. Oh, yeah. So I was making TikToks about, like, day in the life
- 10:01of a business owner and sewing and everything. And those TikToks started to, like, blow up and get
- 10:06traction. And then over time, I was like, damn. I'm like, I'm making clothes and stuff. Like, I started
- 10:13researching and, you know, going into the archive, just doing my research on, like, creative directors,
- 10:18designers like all of that. And I fell in love with I fell in love with it. So I started to like,
- 10:23really get into, like, my personal style. And then I started posting my own outfits. And then that's
- 10:29also those two things. One thing led to another. So I want to ask, what was the breaking point for you
- 10:35on going to fit and how did your family feel about it? Yeah. So breaking point, um,
- 10:42at this point, like I was getting a lot of orders in my job sewing all of these things like on my
- 10:49own. No help. Um, so my brand started gaining a lot of traction. And then not only
- 10:55my brand account was growing in my TikTok and stuff, but my personal account was growing because
- 11:00I started to post a lot of my outfits. So then I realized I'm like, damn. Like, you know, at this
- 11:06point, I've already made my choice of switching from neuroscience to business management and
- 11:10marketing because I just knew I wanted to go into business, and I know that I can lead in that area.
- 11:16So I always knew that I wanted to do that, but I just didn't specifically know what I'm going to
- 11:20do in business. Granted, I have my brand, but I'm like, okay, like we'll see how far this goes, you
- 11:27know? Um, so yeah, but the breaking point, um, it was probably like at the end
- 11:33of 2021 and like, this is like almost two years into, like being in Maryland. And I'm like, okay, I
- 11:39look so different from everybody. And like, I have always been the person just as like, take risks on
- 11:46myself. And like I would say, even if it didn't work, I would say like, am I able to curse? Yeah.
- 11:51Okay. Okay, cool. I'm like, you know, even if it didn't work, like, fuck it. Like, at least I could
- 11:56say, like, I did it, you know? Um, so I told my mom, I'm like, look. Like.
- 12:03And she's been. Saying. That she used to work at the National Institute of Health, like, NIH her
- 12:09entire life, basically since I was born in the government. So it's like, you know, me being in
- 12:15science and, like, you know, 401 is there, you have dental insurance, you have all those things that
- 12:21you need because when you, you know, work for the government, you get all those things. Um, so she was
- 12:26like, you know, you have like a salary, you have everything planned out for yourself. Like, why
- 12:30would you why would you change it? And I'm like, well, I'm like, this is boring. I don't want to
- 12:36continue to do this. So, um, yeah. So I told her I'm like, look like I think New York is like where I
- 12:42need to go. And at that point I was like coming to New York. Like, maybe once every two months
- 12:48just to, like, come here all day. And I started working, like, with smaller brands. Like, I think my
- 12:54first thing that I came out here to do was with Susie. That's why. So random. So, like,
- 13:01they can't they, um, I got I took a bus down here, and they just had me, like, you know, doing some,
- 13:07like, styling stuff, like, they came in, like, gifted me a bunch of shit. I'm like. Oh. This is alive. Shit.
- 13:13What the fuck? It was crazy. It was so crazy. And like, this is the time when, like, before, like,
- 13:19everyone fucking demolished Acne Studios, like, now everybody and everybody is
- 13:26ridiculous. That's crazy. Oh, sweet. You know, because I was also working, like, my day job. And I remember,
- 13:30like, I told my coworker, I'm like, yo, bro, if manager asked where I'm at. I'm in the bathroom
- 13:34and I drove to the scene, went to sleep for like two hours. So shout out to me, they they come close.
- 13:39They really do. And I had like, I don't even know how many followers I had at the time. Maybe like
- 13:46like 30, okay. Maybe 40. I can't even remember, but I was a lot smaller than I am. Yeah, a lot of people
- 13:52ask. I feel like I get a lot of DMs. Like, is it necessary to move to New York to kind of like
- 13:57jumpstart your career? You know, like the fashion. I was doing everything in Maryland before I moved
- 14:01to New York. But once when I moved to New York, everything definitely did like kickstart, though.
- 14:05Yeah, sure. So I try to tell them like it's not necessary, but it definitely helps. Just like 100%
- 14:10being around in like the community to like 100%. So you came here going to fit,
- 14:17correct? Yes. I had to make a deal with my mom. She was like, you have to stay in school. Yeah, I'm like,
- 14:22okay. So I went to fit for like two semesters, I believe, and then I dropped out. But no, I also like
- 14:29I've been around fit. That should feel like victorious. Yeah. I mean, so how was that
- 14:36shift for you? It was like, I don't know, I think because I was just so excited to be in New York
- 14:42where everything just felt like a fever dream. Like I was in, like, my honeymoon stage. Like it was
- 14:47insane. You didn't miss, like, campus life at all because, you know, like, um. No, because when I moved
- 14:51here, I moved into an apartment. I had a roommate for a year, and then I had the place on my own. But,
- 14:57yeah, I moved it, but I moved to fucking Flatbush, Brooklyn. I was so far from
- 15:04campus. I know it. Was. Mind you, I was on the I was on. Oh, my God. I was overly taking the train at the
- 15:10time. Like, man, it was like at the last stop on the two train or the five express all the
- 15:17way like Flatbush, Brooklyn College. Take that shit. All every day. Fucking 23rd Street, 52 to 58
- 15:23minute train ride every morning. So how would you miss class? I wouldn't win. Um, I'm not gonna lie,
- 15:30because I'm very. I'm still very, like, studious. Like, I wouldn't say I love school, but when it
- 15:35comes to school, like, I'm very on my ass about it. Yeah. Um, so I wouldn't miss class. I was really
- 15:40good on not missing parts. But then once when like opportunities started to flow in, that's why I
- 15:46started missing class and that's when I like failed my first class ever. Because. I was so
- 15:51disappointed. It was some type of like math class that I was just not like. Yeah, we are different
- 15:57shit. I mean, my homies used to be in the dorm like we blow the bong out the window. They would be
- 16:03like, should we go to class, bro? Nah. Fuck it. Actually, I want to ask you this. So when those
- 16:09events start rolling in and stuff. What kind of excuses were you cooking up to your professors?
- 16:13Because I done had like 30,000 family emergencies. Oh, really? I'm not gonna lie. Like, I was being
- 16:18completely honest because I was like, look like you guys say, like, you know, go to these events and,
- 16:24like, experience. So, like, when these type of things come up, like I'm gonna say like, hey, like I'm
- 16:29doing it, you know, but there are some professors that, like, they won't give a fuck. Like when I told
- 16:35them I was doing my first ever styling assisting job, they said okay. I said. Okay. Okay. I
- 16:42need to be more understanding. Yeah. I feel like it's different because I just went to, like a
- 16:46normal college and you're kind of at a fashion school now, so I can't tell him, yo, I'm about to go
- 16:50to New York to go to Puma event. Yeah. I'd be like, yeah, I had a family emergency. You don't want to
- 16:54say too much about it, but I'll be back. I'll apologize. But, you know, we're good now. So when
- 17:00you're at fit. I guess you just mentioned your first styling job, but it was like the. Yeah, the
- 17:05first thing that kind of felt like your breakthrough point between content, your brand
- 17:09styling. So right before I moved to, um, New York, I
- 17:16was like a little bit, you know, I don't think I had a brand deal yet, but I was getting a lot of
- 17:23gifting from brands and like, just, you know, posting a lot of my outfits. So that itself had
- 17:28enough traction on its own. So before I moved, I was like, damn. Like I should really try signing to
- 17:33like, some agencies. So when I get to New York, I lowkey have things like lined up for me. So that's
- 17:38what I did. I signed with this agency that was based in London and, um, yeah, I was
- 17:45with them for like a minute. I was with them for like, I don't know if it was two years, but like
- 17:52coming to that point because I think I was their first like us girl that they signed and that did
- 17:58make like a huge difference into like how I got introduced to like. So when you when you went to
- 18:03fit, were you working like a job, like a regular job or is it just. I was just going to school
- 18:08doing content and like I had a lot of money saved up from when I was sewing all those orders, like
- 18:13my last collection was a few months before I moved to school. So I had a good amount of money,
- 18:19like saved up. How did you like your family, I guess feel when? Yeah, like I'm done. Um, by the
- 18:24point that, like, I dropped out or said, like I'm not going anymore, I was definitely in a good
- 18:30financial standing where it was like, okay, from this. Like, it's like we just keep we just keep
- 18:37going up. Like there's no way I'm failing. Like, this is my plan B like this. This has to work out.
- 18:42Yeah. Um, so at that point, I'm like, damn, like, look like I'm getting all these opportunities. I'm
- 18:47traveling now for work and doing all these things, like, I just can't commit to school. And also
- 18:54no one in the industry, especially when it comes to like styling, designing. Like they're not
- 18:59looking at like what college you went to anymore. They're looking at your experience and who you
- 19:05work with, who your mentors are. If you have one, like your relationships that you have a lot of
- 19:09jobs in the industry like are also like word to mouth and like how those organic relationships
- 19:14you have with like real life people. Um, so yeah, people are more worried about that. I feel like a
- 19:21lot of people ask, like, how do you get into styling people? Is that kind of how that happened?
- 19:25Um, I would say no, because my first ever styling job that I did was in October of 2022.
- 19:32Um, it was with Givenchy. And when bistro did their collab, you know, the brand beats Troy? Troy?
- 19:40But it's two honors. Her name is due in brick, and, um, it's a pretty. It's a really big brand. And they
- 19:46did a collab with Givenchy, but one of the owners DM'd me to come to their casting because at the
- 19:53time I had a fro, but I had, um, half platinum and half black here, so it was pretty cool. We pulled
- 19:59that out. Yeah, pull it up. Over. To Cruella. Um, but yeah, so I went to the casting and I'm
- 20:06looking at everyone there. I'm like, I am not your height. Even with some heels, y'all are still
- 20:12taller than me. And I was like, okay. I'm like, yeah, this is not, this is not. And like, I don't really
- 20:16come from like a modeling background. Like I came from the more like, you know, putting clothes on
- 20:20myself, like, really loving that. And just that's about it. Like, modeling didn't really come until,
- 20:25like, I modeled because of who I am now. Not really. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. Yeah. But, um. Off the
- 20:31straight. Off the fucking stripe. But yeah, I forgot what question I was asking. Talk about your first
- 20:37styling job. Oh, yeah. It was just off of a DM. Um, yeah. Yeah. So I went to the casting and then I'm
- 20:43like, damn. Yeah, I'm not getting this. And I didn't hear anything back for a while. So I'm like, you
- 20:47know, following up and stuff. I'm like, look. Like, you know, if I really didn't get the job, like, it's
- 20:51okay, just tell me, like it's okay. Like, I always take especially when I was younger, I dealt with
- 20:57rejection as, like, a fire under my ass. So I think it made me keep going instead of, like, just giving
- 21:04up, you know? But he was like, okay. Like, you know, I don't think you're the right fit for this. But
- 21:09like, you know, we'll definitely consider you for other campaigns. I'm like, actually, this is
- 21:13actually what I want to do. Um, let me be your styling assistant. And like, I've never done it, but
- 21:19I also was like, doing a little bit of styling in Maryland because one of my friends, he had this,
- 21:23like, independent record label and like, I would just like style some of the artists. So I knew
- 21:28what it entailed, but I never knew, like, and this is my first time ever being on like a 1213
- 21:35hour set. Like, it was insane. It was insane. But I just, like, caught on, like, really? Well,
- 21:42so. Oh, yeah, it's back to that. He was like, okay, I'll let you be like one of the styling
- 21:46assistants. And from that point on, my life, like sort of change. Clothes melts don't get
- 21:53fake. Exactly. If you're going to take anything away from this, like you have to just, like, speak
- 21:59up. So, like, what is that 13 hour a day look like, though? Because in my head, it's like, all right,
- 22:04this should look fire. All right. So, you know. I was at the fitting. They had like, another fitting
- 22:10where it was, I think a few days before the actual shoot. So I knew exactly like what went on, what
- 22:15model, what accessories went on, what model, everything that needed to be steamed, like all
- 22:21that extra stuff. So the day of the actual shoot, I think I had to get up at like 6 a.m., had
- 22:28like a 7 a.m. call time. And I don't, I don't I think we were there until like 6 or 7. Like
- 22:34literally until 6 or 7. It was wild. It was wild. It was literally from 7 a.m. to 6 to 7,
- 22:41literally. It was wild. It was crazy. And so off the off of that I guess job, I guess more started
- 22:47coming in from your work with you. Yeah. So I was I was styling assisting more for them, like for
- 22:54their like personal brand. And then they did another shoot with Givenchy that they helped that
- 22:58they let me styling assist on. Yeah. And then at the same time I'm still like posting content and
- 23:03doing all that stuff. So and now I start getting brand deals. I think my first brand was with UGG.
- 23:08Okay, it was fire. Shout. Out. So how did that feel like? Because I know, I mean, I know as
- 23:15a brand owner, it's like a lot of effort put into it. You got to make the product. You got to buy the
- 23:20inventory. Like you're putting a lot of bread down first to see that return a brand deal is kind of
- 23:24like, look, we just got 35 racks. Make this video. So like, how did that feel? It was crazy. I was
- 23:30definitely like, damn, this is like lowkey gonna have me okay for the next couple months of rent.
- 23:34It feels like a. Month ago because, like, I didn't realize how much it how much money it was going
- 23:39to take moving here. Oh my gosh. In New York. Oh my. God. Those apartments. What? My
- 23:46ass. Like, whoa. We got first month's rent. We got broker's fee and then something else.
- 23:53What about energy bills? It's like shingles. Pancakes. Shit ain't funny. No. What? What? I only
- 24:00have so much in my bank account. But the second month, I'm like, look, mom, I don't know what money
- 24:04you're gonna pay with my phone bill, but, like, we're gonna have to figure it out. What's your
- 24:08advice to like someone moving here? Um, definitely come with, like, an idea. Like, don't just, like, willy
- 24:15nilly come out here. I'm, like, a very, like, type A person, and I like, like, I like going with the flow,
- 24:20but I need to know where the flow is going. Yeah. So I'm the type of person. So like, I just made
- 24:25sure I thought I had enough. But like, you know, we live in. We live, we learn. But yeah, just. Like. Come
- 24:30out here with the plan because if you're just like, oh, New York, like no money in my pocket, like,
- 24:35why would you do that? So New York would throw, like, random bullshit at you that you didn't
- 24:39expect. You just got. It. Seriously? Jeez. I feel like every time I go to the city, like I'm at least
- 24:44spending, like, $100. Yeah, I don't know what I'm spending $100 on, but, like, it's something. Yeah.
- 24:49It's something. How much do you think you need to move out here? I'd say, like, if you can, if you feel
- 24:55like you're comfortable right now covering your first six months of rent, I feel like you'd be
- 25:00straight. Yeah, I feel like you can, you know, you want to say something like. But you have to get a
- 25:06job if you want to do it the first three months and then get a job. But I got some homies that
- 25:10literally just crashed, crash at that girl's crib for like, six months. Go back home for a little bit.
- 25:16Come back. I like look, I think I don't know if there's a number, but there's a different. If you
- 25:21want to live a certain lifestyle, you got to have some. You got to have some change. You do. You
- 25:25absolutely do. Like I would say like 50 K is a good amount. Yeah. Now I say, okay, I say go. Yeah, I
- 25:32moved to New York. I think I had about like four bands in my bank account and then. But I was
- 25:37working at the time, and then it kind of. I'm trying to. Hit the guys. Who had saved up. I had a
- 25:42good amount. I'd say like 30 to 50. Yeah. Like if you want to just like, just not worry for a little
- 25:49bit. Like, obviously. No, I'm always worried. I'm always fucking worried. I think I agree with
- 25:53Jonathan Vance. But like, there's people that also like came here off the strength and like with
- 25:58nothing and like I believe like killed. It. I think. It really depends. On you and like what you think
- 26:03you can do and also what you can like if you want to live. And I guess. It also depends on where your
- 26:08moral is at. Yeah. If you want to be outside maybe you save up 8085 racks. But like if you just want
- 26:14to be that one homie who never leave the crib, you might be cool with like $800. That's what I'm
- 26:19saying. Like, it depends what life. Cause there's a lot of different lifestyles. You can live in New
- 26:22York, for sure. All right, let's jump to Uh, you're a styling
- 26:28assistant. And then I remember I seen you one time in L.A. with a shit ton of clothes all over the
- 26:33ground, and you're styling scissor. What the fuck happened between then, huh? Oh, my gosh, that was 20,
- 26:4025 when I did that. I don't know, but it looked into its. Looked very stressful. It was very
- 26:45stressful. It was so stressful. That was my was that my first time traveling? Is that the
- 26:52one where, uh, Justin Bieber was on her a little bit? That I did do that. Yeah, I did that outfit. Um,
- 26:58you must have liked that one. Man, it was so good. It was so fucking good, though, because I didn't
- 27:03know that he was wearing all black. I just happened to just, like, coordinate. It was so good.
- 27:07Um. Damn. When was that? I think that was 20, 25. Yeah. So she liked. DM'd me randomly. Damn, I would have
- 27:14dated. I would have bust out my first backflip ever in my life. It was definitely full circle. I
- 27:21feel like by that time though, like I was already starting to do a lot of like lead styling
- 27:26opportunities. At first I was doing a lot of e-com. I was working a lot with Adidas. I was also
- 27:31working a lot with Nike. Um what else? And these are opportunities you just got through meeting
- 27:37people or like they hit you up to the DM meeting people. Um, but like through email a lot where it's
- 27:42like, oh, like, we like the styling work that you're doing. Can you come and like, do a suite or can you
- 27:47come and style this, this, um, campaign? Can you come do e-com or stuff like that? Can I ask you a money
- 27:54question about that? So at this time, you're signed to a social media agency. Um, yes. So I already
- 28:01was signed with a social media agency. I don't think I, I may have no, I definitely already had
- 28:07like, my publicist by that time as well. Were they. So as a I know some social media agencies try to
- 28:13scam and try to take everything. Like they'll even take your monetization views. Where are they
- 28:17trying to take any money out of your styling jobs? No, I'm like very like keen on like those things
- 28:23are separate, like everything with my brand styling. Like those are very separate. Nobody has
- 28:28like my published. That's what they help me with. But my social media team. No, they don't do. Okay.
- 28:35Good. Yeah. Don't get scammed, y'all. I'm just trying to help. Because it happens way too often. They'll
- 28:39be on your ass. All right, you come. How the fuck we get to scissor, please? Um. Oh, yeah. So she DM'd
- 28:46me, and then at some point, um. Oh, I think that was. That was my second job with her. My
- 28:53first job that I did with her was when she headlined for Jay Cole's festival. She headlined.
- 28:59So I styled her her six dancers and her four band members was insane. That was my
- 29:06first time I've ever done something at that caliber. It was it was. A learning experience for a
- 29:11show. Like, did she give you, like a vision? And then you kind of just do everything or. Yeah. So like I
- 29:15make a mood board and like, she'll tell me and like, her team will relate to me, like what type of
- 29:20vibe she wants. Um, I feel like a lot of clients that come to me know already what like my
- 29:27styling, like signature is like. I just naturally always do a lot of color. Like more on the
- 29:33maximalist tip. Um, so yeah, literally. So yeah. How does it. Because I
- 29:40feel like a lot of people think they can be stylists because they can dress themselves. Can't
- 29:44I tell you that right now? Yeah, exactly. They cannot let qualities make a good size. What are
- 29:50the qualities at. Um, I would say like you have to be extremely organized. Extremely organized. You're
- 29:56dealing with so many garments at one time, and they're all coming from different PR agencies.
- 30:02Like a lot of the PR agencies that we get, like social media brand deals or like invites from,
- 30:06like Lucien Pages, Carla Otto, purple PR, all of those brands. Carrie. I mean, all those PR
- 30:13agencies carry brands for stylists to pull from. You're either going like directly to the brand, or
- 30:18you're going to the PR agency that does their PR for them, and then they handle like all like the
- 30:23loaning and the pulls and all of that. Um, but that's just on like the, the pulling part. But
- 30:28there's also, you know, clients they give me like a budget for, um, shopping. But you got to be very
- 30:35particular about what you buy because, you know, those things, you can't really return it. But yeah,
- 30:40organization, time management, you have to know how to lead because I always have assistants working
- 30:46for me because I can't do everything myself. Leadership is very important. Um, you also just
- 30:52have to have taste. Like not everybody has taste like not everybody has an eye for something. Or
- 30:58you also have to have knowledge about like, old runway's old like what? Creative directors were.
- 31:03Creative directors are now, um, like. Man, are. You an eye? Like it's
- 31:10crazy. Are you mainly styling like, shoots, campaigns in shows, or do you style people
- 31:17like on a day to day basis, like celebrities recently? Like I've been saying, like no to like
- 31:22all my styling jobs now just because I'm actually, like, really enjoying, like, pouring into me, like
- 31:29I've done so well with, like, creating sieve and like, you know, really investing in my bag brand.
- 31:35And also I realized that, like, I'm the star as well. So and like with like I realized like a lot
- 31:41of people for styling like they might want to come to me because they love how I dress myself
- 31:46and like, that's such my personal style and what I've like, really like put in time to get
- 31:53to. So it's like I'd rather be paid for, you know, my talents on myself and like, invest
- 32:00into my brand, do all great things with my brand. And yeah. I feel like we get before we get into
- 32:07the brand. I want to ask like, what's your worst and best experience from styling? Styling? Like,
- 32:14is there anything that was like, oh, I just, I'm gonna fuck this all up? What'd you say? Is there?
- 32:20Was there ever, like, a experience? You're like, oh, motherfuck up this whole thing if I don't get
- 32:24this together. I've never had a moment like that where I'm like, fuck. Like I'm about to like, I'm
- 32:30fucking. I cooked it, cooked. I never had a moment like that. But I have had a moment where I've had
- 32:35to, like, get a whole new rack of clothes, like the very next day because, like, the client didn't
- 32:42really like what I brought out. Damn. Yeah. Never have they ever said some crazy shit. Um, no,
- 32:49no, I don't think so. Because I think people also realize, like, my age, because at the time I was,
- 32:55like, heavily styling and like, really big clients at like 22, 23 and
- 33:02them being like, basically like a decade over or like older than me, they're like, oh my God. Like
- 33:08you're just. Like, yeah. You're just killing it. But I'm like, please don't treat me like that. Like, I
- 33:13don't like being baby. Like, not in that way, not in that, not in my career. I don't. Know. What was the
- 33:18best styling thing you did was the scissor or what stands out to. You? I had the most fun, so that
- 33:23was so that when she styled or when I styled her for Dreamville Fest, um, that was my first time, but
- 33:30my second time was when I styled her for the next tour with Kendrick, and this is when she did. I did
- 33:36both nights in LA. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Like, I've never like, that was insane for me. And
- 33:42Kendrick used to be one of my favorite artists in high school, so that was extremely, like
- 33:49full circle. Like, I'm at the fucking SoFi Stadium. Like, yo, it's crazy. She's wearing the outfit that
- 33:55I picked out for her, and she was in some runway. Shit. Thank you. Like, she looks so good. She looks
- 34:00so good. No, that's got to be unbelievable experience. So back to the brand. I feel like we
- 34:05haven't really touched on it that much. How did you translate from, like you said, you were kind of
- 34:11making the the rug kind of sweatpants and the one where you're like, all right, I want to do bags bag.
- 34:16Yeah. How did I translate? Um, well, making bags are very expensive. Like, is not a cheap
- 34:23process. Um, especially with, like, my leather. And I do, like 100% leather, so that's very
- 34:29expensive. So I didn't design my first bag until March of last year. Had it sampled. Then I
- 34:36released my first bag in November of 2025. You, like, drew it up yourself? Like, I drew it myself
- 34:42and everything. Yeah. My first bag was the purple one. Was it this size or was it like. Oh, it's a
- 34:47size. Yeah. So it's crocodile leather. It's like this one, but it's two toned. So the belts are a
- 34:53darker purple, and the base of the bag is like a lighter purple. I definitely seen that one. Yeah,
- 34:58this one is like a monochromatic one. Similar like this with the two tone. Yeah. But this the ostrich
- 35:03was like crocodile. And like how you mentioned earlier how you've been pouring into yourself
- 35:09more. I was looking at your brand page because I just wanted to like, get an overview of, like, what
- 35:13you do before we talked. Yeah. And you're all your own marketing I am. And the one video. Like the
- 35:20kind of like the I don't know what's the right term. Kind of like the jazzy kind of video. I was.
- 35:24Like. Oh, oh, the, um, burlesque one. Yeah, that was like phenomenal production. So I got to give you a
- 35:30kudos on that. Thank you so much. And I mean, I agree with you. I feel like a lot of brands focus
- 35:36on like sending stuff out to creators and stuff. But for my brand, I feel like I'm on my best
- 35:41marketing as well. Yeah, absolutely. People trust you, so they're going to trust what you make as
- 35:46well. But do you think I mean, I seen you just did your pop up. Things seem to be going very well. Do
- 35:52you think you'll be able to, like, uphold that and kind of be like the main person for everything? Um,
- 35:58I'm not gonna lie. Like, I'm wanting to, like, slowly take myself my face out of it, because I
- 36:05really do want to be considered one day as, like, a luxury brand and like, you know, to be stored in,
- 36:11like, sacks and, like, all those amazing places. And most of the time, The designers face isn't
- 36:17really a part of that. Um, even, like. And really the only person that I see that's, like
- 36:24somewhat successful by doing it is like Kylie Jenner, for example, like, you know, how she has, like,
- 36:29her makeup brand, but she also has this clothing brand. She does a bunch of collabs, like she's
- 36:34always like the face of her things, which works for her because she's a part of her market and
- 36:39like, people trust her, but also like, you know, she's a part of this huge ass family, you know? But
- 36:46eventually I do want to take my face out of it. But I just really enjoy, like, turning myself into
- 36:52a different character for each campaign that I do. Yeah. Who's like. I mean, you just said Kylie, who's
- 36:57like, your inspirations are people you kind of studied to get to where you are. Um, I really love
- 37:04Jonathan Anderson. I really love Matthew Blasi. I love Martin Rose. I think they're amazing.
- 37:11Um, also, just like who they've worked with, I've also really. I just really love like RAF Simons
- 37:15too. Maybe like Lucia Prada. Like, also their, like, color blocking. Like Prada's color blocking.
- 37:20Literally ten out of ten. Like people really like because I think when people think about Prada.
- 37:25Especially like in our like content creation world, like people do not be going into the
- 37:32archives enough to. See how fucking. Crazy the color blocking. Is and like, stuff like that. Yeah.
- 37:36No. Like we're we're so far away from Prada cups. When you go into the archives like it's wild. Do
- 37:42you have, like, a favorite runway? Um, I would say I really fuck with Prada 2013. That's probably one
- 37:47of my favorite ones. Um, honestly, like 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. Prada was
- 37:54like. Big brother girl. Yo, you see. This is the. Color blocking. It's so. Good. When you
- 38:01mentioned RAF, you like like old RAF. New Ralph I. Like old Ralph. I like old. Ralph. Like two like.
- 38:07Yeah. Like you remember when he used to do stuff with Calvin Klein? Like that. Was that. That was a
- 38:12cool era of rock. I like that a lot, but I even love like Martin Rose when she was working at
- 38:16Balenciaga. Like, that was five years. I feel like. Actually. Yeah, this is exactly what I'd be
- 38:23talking about. You see how passionate she's talking about? Like. The designers, the fashion. I'd
- 38:29be trying to explain to people there's a difference between being into fashion and just
- 38:34liking clothes. Because people. Ask. Me different. People will ask me, like, if I'm into fashion and
- 38:39stuff, and I tell them, like, I'm just into clothes. Like, I couldn't tell you about the history of a
- 38:44designer or anything like that, and I'm up front about it. Yeah. That's good. I just like wearing
- 38:49shit. That looks cool. Yeah, she's in the game. She's deep in the book. It's really. Yeah.
- 38:56I'm like, over here sitting up like, yeah, Prada. And I'm just like. That shit. Hard. Yeah. I
- 39:05know, but do you think you're ever going to extend past bags? Absolutely. I really want to get into
- 39:11clothes like beginning of next year. I just like, don't want to make like the generic
- 39:18things that everybody is making now. Like, so I know, like the garments that are gonna that I'm
- 39:24going to be making are a lot more complex and a lot more detailed. And I just want to make a
- 39:30beautiful collection like, you know, like I'll make like a sweatsuit at some.
- 39:37Point, but. Like, that's not where that's just not my direction. Like, that's just like, not who I am,
- 39:43you know? Like, I'll make a heel, like I'll make some bomb jewelry, but, like, you know, like.
- 39:49Eventually the stuff you want to make isn't going to be like, the stuff that sells the best, because,
- 39:53like, even sometimes, like, I'll be making some pieces and I'll just be like, this is something
- 39:56that I would wear and like some of my friends would wear, but like the average consumer, like
- 40:01like my cousin wouldn't like, wear this. Yeah. Yeah. No, no. No, I'm just gonna sell or make like. Wait,
- 40:07why are you putting your cousin under the hood? My cousin awareness. You know, My cousin gonna wear
- 40:11the Nike Jackson bro. No, I get it. I would definitely like. I definitely am gonna make things
- 40:16for like, you know, everybody would buy, but there is going to be like. Or I feel like most of my
- 40:21things that I make are going to be more for the like for me, like I'm going to make clothes that I
- 40:26know that I really fuck with. You know, and if if I can't wear my own clothes and I don't feel like
- 40:31damn, like I really made the fuck out of this piece, like I'm not gonna wear it. Yeah. So it's
- 40:36really like how I internally feel. And that's how I like, sort of release even how I choose colors
- 40:42for bags, like how I internally feel about it is that gives me like the yes or no. Yeah, yeah. Do you
- 40:48have employees for your brand? No. It's just me. I just point though. Absolutely I am,
- 40:55it's absolutely I am. I have like a creative assistant or like personal assistant like that
- 41:01helps me with like, everything creative. Um, but in terms of, like, employees, like. Yeah, I
- 41:08do like this round of shipping is fucking round. It's crazy because after my pop up I like
- 41:15released all the bags that were at the pop up on my website. Have fun. Just know when you get that
- 41:22done you get a nice little chunk of money for you. Exactly. Thank you Shopify. From all your
- 41:29experiences from, you know, going to school, styling, being a fit. What sticks out to you is like
- 41:36the most important that helped you be your own entrepreneur and business owner? Um, I would say
- 41:41the discipline from being like a science girl in school and doing all like those
- 41:48AP classes and having both sort of homework and all those internships, the discipline definitely
- 41:53helped me. But also sports really helped me as well that you don't gain like every person needs
- 42:00to play sports in this world. Like to have like that competitive mindset. Like you like maybe
- 42:06people might be like born competitive, but, like, you know, a lot of sport. Yes. Yes. Exactly.
- 42:13Sports in school. That's what, like, really shaped me into like who I am for sure. All those years of
- 42:19hooping for me and all the times my coach cussed me out, you know. I ran to suicide. Yeah,
- 42:25like, oh, my, I can wake up. In the morning now and be like, none of that was really about
- 42:32basketball. It was. Just making. My mind strong. Fortitude. It literally all about your mental at
- 42:37the end of the day. It's crazy. Like, coach would be spazzing out in practice. I'm like, dude, we just
- 42:41kids. Why are you yelling it like this? But no, it taught me how to like the fuck. Yeah, yeah. And take
- 42:46criticism and not get emotional of it. And. Yeah, take a L and it's not really a L, it's just a
- 42:51learning. Experience I was thinking about recently. I mean, I haven't been yelled at by like a grown
- 42:55man for a long time. And like, growing up, it's like, every single day. Yeah. It's funny because I heard
- 43:01somebody get yelled. I'm like, damn, it's been a minute and somebody really down in my face. And I
- 43:05just try to take it That's funny. For real? Maybe you even get cussed out one time. I called my mom.
- 43:10I might piss you off all these days just to get cussed out. One time I got to see you. Might make
- 43:15me log back in your faith. Played any part in, um, like, your brand or anything? For sure, I
- 43:22think I. I think the way that God speaks to me is through, like, my intuition. I have a very, very
- 43:28strong gut feeling about, like, anything. So I think with that just sort of navigating like what I do
- 43:34next and sort of just also trusting the fact that, like, it's going to work, you know, and going to a
- 43:40very positively and, you know, really just learning to like charge that shit to the game if it
- 43:46doesn't work. Like. I just got to be able to do that because but a lot of people, they
- 43:53get like rejected or like, you know, they experience something bad and like that makes them
- 43:58stop doing what they're doing. Like, I've never like, you can't do that, especially if you want a
- 44:03fucking win like Yeah. That I agree with everything you're saying. Do you think there's
- 44:09ever been points in your life where you're kind of, damn, I screwed a job? Maybe I'm not cut for
- 44:15this. Like, how are you mentally? Honestly, yes and no. Because I think I
- 44:22dealt with a lot of, like, imposter syndrome where I'm like, damn. Like, I think everything happened so
- 44:28fast. My career, like, blew up so fast where it didn't really allow me to, like, have the time to
- 44:33really be like, damn, like Sierra, like, that's a really good accomplishment that you can really
- 44:38bask in. I was always ready to go to the next thing. So I think doing that, everything was
- 44:44happening so fast, I didn't have time to, like, congratulate myself. You're like a little numb to
- 44:48it. Yeah. So now I'm learning to do that. I think having my pop up, that was like.
- 44:55Like I've been, like, nonstop watching, like, my vlog because I had a YouTube like, film or like, filmed
- 45:00the entire thing feel my entire experience. And I've been watching my vlog like 30 times a day
- 45:05and literally just like am here. Like, it was so good because I didn't really know what to expect
- 45:11from it. This is my first pop up, like, you know, and I really wanted when someone walked into my space,
- 45:18I wanted them to walk in and be like, damn. Like, she really planned the fuck out of this. Like,
- 45:23everything is so intentional. It's more than just like buying my bag. Like, I want you to walk in and
- 45:27it's an experience, and I feel like a lot of I got a lot of great feedback with people telling me,
- 45:32like, you know, between the music was the music was great, the drinks were great. Like the little
- 45:37activations that I had throughout my pop up were great. And also I'm like a very intimate person. So
- 45:44I love, like being able to have like conversation with people and like experiencing people in real
- 45:49life. So I would be talking to, I don't know how many people I talked to that day, but it was just
- 45:55really giving everybody like my time and like just I'm really big on gratitude to like, I
- 46:02know, like, you know, I have great style and whatever the case is. But like, I wouldn't
- 46:06necessarily be here with people that like, you know, don't follow me, support me and all those
- 46:10type of ways, buy my bags. So this is sort of a way where I can, like, give back to my community at the
- 46:15same time, you know, although I have, you know, sieved my bag brand like people, a lot of people
- 46:19know me for like Sierra and like for styling who I am on social media, like whatever the case is
- 46:25for like YouTube. So it's like, I know a lot of people are coming for different reasons. So I want
- 46:29to be able to like, provide a different experience for everybody that's coming. That makes sense. Yeah.
- 46:34I feel like everything you do is just filled with creativity. Thank you. How do you how do you,
- 46:41um. I mean, at some point you get caught in a creative block. I have some, like, at times, I think,
- 46:48um, it's very normal to have creative blocks. Um, so I don't give myself, like, I give myself
- 46:55grace. And I know when I have creative blocks, most of the time when I'm not doing well mentally or
- 47:01like I just burnt myself out. So, you know, I give myself time to, like, heal and like,
- 47:08really, you know, go back into myself and figure out what's wrong. But, um, yeah, give myself grace is
- 47:14like, the biggest part of that process. So you feel like you're doing all this stuff. Do you ever just,
- 47:17like, chill? Sometimes. Yeah. Like, outside of fashion. Who is here? Um. Oh, my gosh. Sierra is a marvel nerd.
- 47:24Love to read the comics, I love film. Who's your favorite character in Marvel? Uh, Spider-Man. Like
- 47:29for sure. I love. Spider-Man. I sit over the Spider-Man switch. I wish I knew this.
- 47:36Oh my God. I really appreciate that. So who's here? Yeah. Man, I love Marvel,
- 47:42I love science, I love basketball, I love, like, freaking building Legos at home. I love playing
- 47:48the game. Um, we went snowboarding two one time. Yeah, I love, like I just love like like
- 47:55activity. Shit. Like, I recently just started surfing. Fucking loved it. Brutal. fuck are you?
- 48:02Where are you fucking a jersey, bro? No, I went to the Hamptons with Pandora, like, maybe a month ago.
- 48:08Muffled. No, no. Those are Pandora. Oh my God. No, but I went surfing for the first time,
- 48:15and I fucking loved it, because when I was snowboarding, like, snowboarding is cool, but, like,
- 48:20the whole time when I'm smoked snowboarding, I'm like, damn. Like, I love being in the water. I love
- 48:23being in, like, the sun. Like, I would kill it if I went surfing and I. Absolutely. Fucking did. Yes, I
- 48:30got like seven waves. It was so fire. Oh my gosh, I missed it. Did you post it? I
- 48:37did, I'll show you. I'll show you. I'll see. I don't know if I'll believe you. Yeah. I will put it right
- 48:42here as well. I will send you a video. I win a three point challenge. No, I absolutely will. Okay.
- 48:48Like, if I don't win, like, I'll 100% give you comp, though. Like. For sure. Let me go. Play for a
- 48:55minute. Are you ever gonna make, like, a like a more? I guess the right word is an ambiguous bag. An
- 49:01ambiguous. Bag means like gender neutral. Like a more a more. Like a black. One. Or like. Yeah, I like
- 49:06black. With like silver hardware. Like maybe not like a purse and more like a I need. To make, like
- 49:12a men's bag. Or something like that. I really do. And I do the same. For you. Yeah. For sure. I think
- 49:18that's definitely next. I need to definitely get more into a little bit of men's for sure. Getting
- 49:23that bag.
- 49:30Starting off. What's the first app you open in the morning? Um, my clock app. Clock. Oh.
- 49:37Like alarm. Oh, alarm. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I literally open it timely. Motherfucker. Um, Instagram or
- 49:42TikTok? Where do you feel? Or YouTube? Where do you feel the most yourself? YouTube. Mhm. Um, what makes
- 49:48you delete a video? Do you ever post something in your hand and like it? Um, maybe I don't like the
- 49:52way that it's edited. Um, yeah. Um, are there any trends in fashion that you absolutely hate? Um.
- 50:01I like I don't like overcoming overconsumption. I think when one thing gets really trendy.
- 50:08Trendy, like, way too many people hop on it. I don't like. That. So it doesn't matter what the trend is
- 50:12if it's over. Yeah. Like, this is just all they're doing. Thing. This thing. Um,
- 50:18whatever they ask. What's your biggest pet peeve? I like cleanliness, so, like, I don't like dirtiness.
- 50:24Like, I like things tidy. Do we seem dirty? No. You were. You were good. All right. I appreciate that. Do
- 50:30you have any, uh, weird DM you ever got in, like, on the top of your head? Like, just. I don't know, I've
- 50:34gotten a couple weird DMs, like, you know, when that one person just keeps saying, like, happy birthday
- 50:39every. Year. Or something? Yeah. Like. You got a lot of good stuff in there. Yeah. I do. I, you know, a
- 50:46lot of people think that I'd be, like answering my DMs a lot, but, like, I don't really. Hear me through
- 50:52the business email with Brett. Brett. Ready? Brett. Thank you. Uh, favorite Marvel movie? Oh,
- 50:58shit. Um, either. Um, Doctor Strange, Multiverse of Madness, or
- 51:06Infinity War. Avengers. Multiverse of madness. How do you feel about that? Miles Morales. Big. Marvel.
- 51:11Super big. Marvel. I don't know how I feel about multiverse. I really loved it. Or was it? I liked it,
- 51:16but I don't like Spider-Man. Or was it, um. Tobey, Spider-Man or the new shit? No, the new shit. When
- 51:22it was Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, that was. Spider-Man No Way. Home. I liked No Way Home a lot.
- 51:28So, uh. What's your favorite? It depends. There's, like, favorite. Like, I think it's the best.
- 51:35Sorry, I just there's. A question. For, like, 2 or 3. I like Ragnarok. Oh, I gotta love Ragnarok. Isn't that.
- 51:41Fun? That was good. Dream location to film at. Ooh. Um.
- 51:48Oh, like a closet, but like. Like my perfect archive closet. Like I had everything in
- 51:55there. But maybe I really want to film in Greece, though. Okay, that's what I was expecting because. I
- 52:01have Greek, so like I want to go back and do that. Where are you? Like what? Okay, I guess, um, uh, do you
- 52:07have a guilty pleasure, like show that you watch or a book that you've been getting into? Um, show?
- 52:12Well, I have more show. A movie. Transformers. Mhm. I can have that rolling, like. Okay. Just first.
- 52:18For all, I gotta say, the day that the boy saw Transformers and saw Megan Fox, I knew I was
- 52:24straight. Are you happy? I'm so happy. Very good. And then what's next for Sierra? Ooh.
- 52:31Uh. What's next? Um, I don't know. I don't know what's next. I feel like there's so many things
- 52:38that I'm doing. Actually, no, I know it's next. I want to get into acting. Mhm. Yeah. I really, really
- 52:44want to, like, be in a movie. I really want to be in a movie. And I feel like I'm very animated and
- 52:49like, yeah. I really like voicing someone maybe, I don't. Know, I've heard that as well. I would do
- 52:56that for like a Disney movie. And then lastly, if you can give your younger self one piece of
- 53:00advice, what would it be? Um, literally just trust your intuition. You would have gotten
- 53:06yourself out of like a lot of situations if like you trust your first gut feeling. That's like with
- 53:12everything. Yeah. That's beautiful. Those are all your questions? Yeah. It's all good. She's right
- 53:17over there, bro. If she got my. Call. You got that clipboard.
- 53:24So I got a segment called. I know a lot of influencers. Stylists. They take a lot of trips. Do
- 53:31you know Paris? Okay. Greece? Yes. Things of that nature. But, like, they don't take a lot of trips
- 53:36down memory lane.
- 53:43Uh, I'm just gonna hand you a photo. Okay. Let me see what's going on. And, you know, I got a question
- 53:49about that one. Oh. Where did you get this? Um,
- 53:56through the grapevine. So I got a question about that one. We're gonna take it down to around your
- 54:02shin and ankle area. There's no. Way your buddy is. Fucked. Oh my God. So if we if
- 54:09we take the picture down to the shin and ankle area, we see you got some sort of ripped pants on.
- 54:15I'm just a little confused. Did you, you know, crop the jeans? And they were jeggings. They were. No
- 54:22no, no. There were some black jeans, probably from, like, H&M and like, you know how skinny jeans were.
- 54:28I just like. Well, I've seen skinny jeans. They usually touch the ankle. I don't know what you got
- 54:32around on. I don't know what I got going on either, but I got some vans on with some socks, so I tried
- 54:36to, you know, see that shit? That's a shit. Yeah. He was flooded like crazy. This is solid,
- 54:43y'all. Yeah, that's. Yeah, that's his style. We all have a starting place. Like, I'm happy to fan
- 54:49myself with it. What? Oh my goodness. That rolling Stone tea. This
- 54:55one I feel like you're very I feel like you appreciate your full circle moments. This one's
- 55:01not funny. I just want to, like, ask you about that experience right there. Or if you want to read it
- 55:06to. Oh, my God, this is a tweet. Um, I love Career Day as a kid, and now I just did a
- 55:13career day as a fashion designer at my sister's elementary school. Oh my God, I did do that. When
- 55:19was. That? Um, this was in 2022 and my sister's middle school. Yeah, because we went to the same
- 55:25middle school. Yeah, they did about your brand and stuff. Yeah, it was when I was doing, like, the
- 55:31sewing. So did you. You had a little sister, right? Yeah. She's 16 or she's turning. So did she come
- 55:36out to be like, see her? Can you please come to my. No. Are you like, no, I'm doing it. Well, maybe when
- 55:42she was a little bit younger, but now like, she has that like 16 year old like attitude now.
- 55:46Rebellious? Yes. Not even rebellious. She's just be thinking she's 21. I'm like, maybe girl. And,
- 55:52um. I know you mentioned actually there was a tweet I wanted to pull up here, but it was kind of
- 55:58crazy. I had a crazy tweet. It was a little like, as a man, I don't know how I was gonna say that to
- 56:05you. Okay? You want me to say it. I love it. Yeah, yeah. You were talking about on a tweet, mind you.
- 56:10What was it? When did I tweeted it? I don't know. How was it? More recently. You talk about how much
- 56:16you love getting your feet roped. Oh, I probably didn't do that. So like, with. That. Post foot rub
- 56:23kind of tweet, you're like thinking this is more like during like. It might have I be tweeting like
- 56:29I love getting my feet rubs. I'm like mint rub. Like if I'm being honest. Like I didn't know. How
- 56:36that happened. I had to be reasonable. Yeah. I didn't know what your vibe was. I didn't want to
- 56:40hand this to you and be like, Troy's a fucking weirdo. No, I could have said type shit I do if I
- 56:45tweeted, I got no shame. So I know you mentioned, Uh, Milo was asked, are you happy? You said you're
- 56:51super happy. So what was going on when you were kind of posting stuff like this?
- 56:57Yo, this is when I was not happy. You know, Spencer always get, like, the little, like, you know, indirect
- 57:04shit. Yeah. What was going on? I can't tell you what was going on. There was an NDA on that. That's a.
- 57:08YouTube video. As long as deep as sigh. No, no, no. It was just like, well, it's a meme. Oh, it's a meme. You
- 57:14pull. Yeah, yeah, I like love memes. So I just be reposting memes on, like, my spam page.
- 57:21Yeah, you're funny as. Fuck. You're funny. You know, we find everything over here. Y'all.
- 57:28Y'all are the clean. Dumb shit. So, you know,
- 57:34you're from what I see on the internet. You remind me. You're very girly, girl. Yeah. Um, and then you
- 57:41walked in here, said you'd beat me in a three point contest. I was like, yeah. In what. World? In
- 57:45what world was Sierra Hooper? Because I know there's a certain esthetic to that. But then I
- 57:49scrolled upon this and. Oh well, wait, oh my God, this is OG
- 57:56here. This is how I used to dress. These are my favorite. These are my favorite Jordans for days.
- 58:01My favorite. Dates are black cement. Threes. Yes, because I fucking red. This is hard. This is
- 58:08working. This is all really swag. You didn't look like one of those, bro. Oh my
- 58:15goodness. Yo. What up? Yo. Yo. No, this
- 58:22wasn't. This was in Maryland. This was before I moved to, um. Before I moved to New York. I was
- 58:28super streetwear at some point. Like, so streetwear before I started wearing heels and all that. And I
- 58:33know Myles already asked you this, but I was going to ask you on this one. What would you tell this
- 58:38little lady right here. Oh my God. So. Oh, I don't even know.
- 58:44I had to have been like maybe six years old. I don't know. I've always been like a small girl.
- 58:51Um, it's so cute because I still love wearing Uggs and I still love wearing denim on denim. So
- 58:58she was a star. She's from burst. Yeah. Shout out Uggs full circle. Literally. And
- 59:05this is such a cute picture. What the. Fuck? Do I look the same? You can keep it if you want to. A
- 59:10little bit. And just, uh, clothes. Maybe. On a more serious note.
- 59:17Maybe when you're long and gone, what do you. What do you want people to remember about Sierra? Um. I
- 59:22want them to remember how passionate of a person I was for the
- 59:29careers that I'm in. I don't know if I'm still going to be in, like, I might be bigger than I am
- 59:34going to be bigger than what I am now when that time comes. But, um. Yeah, just I just want to be
- 59:40able to leave like, a footprint on, like, I don't know, I don't know. That's a good
- 59:47question. Yeah. You gotta think about it tonight. Over that. I definitely want people to know how
- 59:51passionate, how I was, how serious I am about what I do that I just love spreading like, love and
- 59:57positivity and just having a really big digital footprint on fashion, for sure. Definitely named as
- 1:00:04like, iconic. And then final question, then you can get out of here, get some AC. Yeah, get some AC,
- 1:00:11MTV fan. Yeah, she filmed them pictures. What would you tell the ladies? They're trying to be in a
- 1:00:16position like you? Yes, I would say, um. You really gotta, like, want
- 1:00:23it. Like, if you are, you know, getting distracted. If you are,
- 1:00:30you don't have, like, that grit. You don't have that work ethic. You don't have that grind. Like, you're
- 1:00:34just respectfully, like, not going to make it at all. You have to know when to, like, make sacrifices
- 1:00:40at the right time. You got to know like there needs to be a lot of confidence within that.
- 1:00:46And yeah, like that's about it, to be honest. Just sound good. You gotta have
- 1:00:53some taste. Not everyone is born with that. So you either got it or you don't. Damn. You can't learn
- 1:00:59taste, can't learn taste. Y'all leave. No
- 1:01:05taste. Maybe just a tad, but, like, if it's really like. I feel like this is, like, ingrained in my DNA.
- 1:01:12Like, I think I was so meant to do this. With the swag type, but we've seen it born swag. Going with
- 1:01:19swag. Thank you. Well thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you for coming out here. And you
- 1:01:26guys can catch corporate drop out Thursdays at noon on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify. For
- 1:01:33me Myles and Cierra we'll see you all later. Bye.
