- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: What is up?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: We are back.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_02]: We are back.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: What's up?
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: It is so good to see you.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: How you doing?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing great, but I have to tell you, I have missed you more than words can say.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a long time.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a long time.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: We've been off.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Lots of stuff going on.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of life was happening.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, all that kind of stuff.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: But we're back.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're back.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good to be sitting back here with you.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: We're about to discuss the bills train training camp.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: Our fourth year.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you guys didn't know this is number four for me and Robin.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's just so exciting.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so distracted because I have a TV now.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: So her eyeballs are going to be all over the place.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not even as my monitor, but also a TV.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: So breaking news happens, I got it like right here.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: So good.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is going on, right?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that practice is going on right now.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: And speaking of practice, we're going to get right into it.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we are.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'll say this.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited that it wasn't what it was.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: We all understand everything that happened.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: And Harris, he, he, he, spraying his LCL.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of things, a lot of speculation was happening yesterday.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: And the day, not yesterday, but today is Thursday, Tuesday happened, because Wednesday, they were off.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: And as quiet, you know, as we were just all like, what's going on?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: What's happening?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: What happened?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my God, what happened?
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: He put weight on it, though.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: What's going on?
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's mind was everywhere.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: And it finally did come out and said that he has a strain.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_02]: He might be out for, it's a week to week.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: Then Bobby Babbage came out and said three weeks.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say that he may be out maybe ready for the first week of regular season.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: Not even that prior to that.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: Tray White was having a great camp.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to talk about trade.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about trade.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: But for later.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, give me your thoughts on our own whole Harrison stuff.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I have some thoughts.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And as you might expect, they're not what other people think about because I think about weird things.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: If we want to really look at the situation with Harrison, not only did we escape a really horrific situation, if he could have lost for the season, that would have
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we can get into, you know, it wouldn't have been so terrible because of Trey White and all of that.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to just focus on one thing that this one positive thing that this might do for Harrison.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: We all know that first round draft picks have a lot more of them.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: Hi.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: A lot more on their plate, right?
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: They're they're rookie season.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: They've been through the draft.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: They have no time off.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're under pressure.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're everybody expects them to come out of the gate, especially a high first round pick.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: We wasn't that high, but he was high enough.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: expectations.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's, that's a lot on their plate, right?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: These rookies have so much expectations and stuff going on.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: So what happens now?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: He gets to have a break.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: He gets to sit back and rehab, but while he's doing that, his mind
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: gets a chance and you know, yeah, this is the therapist in me, but honestly, it's it's it's a blessing in a way that he's gonna have a few weeks where he can catch his breath.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: And look at the playbook and study things and start to feel like, oh, okay, some of this is all distilling in his head because we know what happens with rookies.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's just so much going on that in corner we know is one of the hardest positions to play as a rookie because it's so hard to learn.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: And McDermott's defense or whoever's defense it is now is not easy to learn.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: hard for rookies.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm viewing this differently in terms of I view it as almost a benefit to Matt because I think he's going to have more time.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is going to just start to slow down a little bit for him.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to be out so long that he's going to get stale and all that sort of thing.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm you know, I'm a little probably more optimistic than a lot of other people.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: are.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll always set this about rookies coming in for their first season and hitting a ground run.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: And if you never ever have been as having a off season when you've come into your first season as a rookie, you're constantly going, you're constantly doing something.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: And injuries for me, for them, like when I think about it, it might be even higher because of the fact that you don't have an off season, right?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have time
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: A prank.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Just a break.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, that is a bad thing.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I don't especially if we have a situation where he's not really going to be behind the eight ball as much as like coal bishop, for example.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: But not even that Robin.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: We don't even know if he was going to start.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, it will get into it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know if if we want, do we want to put that rookie out there against the Ravens?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be sides.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: Tray knows the Ravens because he played with them last year.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then Tray knows this defense, even though it's a kind of a different defense, whatever the case may be.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's the base of it is still the same deep in this dominant German defense with the little increments of Bobby Babbage, but you know what I mean right and Nielsen forgot about Nielsen and Nielsen as well like right John said, please like and share
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely go over to our page.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: Mr. John, Mr. you also, Sandra, please go to our Facebook page and like and share this put the notification on so you know when we go live.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_02]: But speaking of speaking of continue to speak about injuries and everything that's happening and I know I get people saying
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: must do the injuries now and get them out the way, but that doesn't, life doesn't happen.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: That football is not that way.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_02]: Football isn't, and I hear people say it, get the injuries out the way now.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't work that way.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: The more injuries is going to happen, I hate training.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: I love training camp as a fan.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: I hate it as a player for a player is because it seems like more things happen in training camp because you're trying to prepare, prepare yourself to get
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: This is intense.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: This is very intense.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: And paths are technically not on yet, but they're on, but they don't, they have the tops, but I don't think they have the bottoms, but it's a lot.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Even going into training camp, we had a list of injuries.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, wait, hold on, time up.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: Give me a minute.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Give me a minute.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to look at that and maybe see that we have a different emphasis with the strength and conditioning group.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Is Eric Ciano.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that's how he says his name is gone now.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: I have to wait and get more data because I need to know is this just somewhat of a change in philosophy in terms of how they're treating players during practice where they're pulling everybody.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then the other thing I want to mention because I think it's not being talked about enough is that heat is affecting these players.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: The heat.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, when I went to training camp, Robin, it was night.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: I took my son.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: It was.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: It was ninety in the cards at ninety one.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now we got out of the car.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: It was it had to be at least ninety nine.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now you know if you go to Rogers City knows bleachers.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_02]: There is no sun.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there is no shade.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's so much fun.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: Decide to sit at the top.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_02]: I said, I am not going up there, son.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm in the middle.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, right, and I was like, oh, shoot.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot the water.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I went down, got some water for us.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, yeah, um, I'm going to go down.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: I said, meet me at the water stand at ten, forty five and we'll talk about it if we're going to stay.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: And he came down, he was like, can we go?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, we can go.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: He was hot.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: So you can imagine the players.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_02]: And he wanted to get autographs and stuff like that.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: But he said he was just too hot.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_02]: He took his football and everything.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, dude, I'm letting you know right now, it's going to be hot out here.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: But the players
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I think that there was a lot of people going into the tents and that sort of thing.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Some of it was getting knocked around in some of them.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I didn't even realize two players of ours had heat exhausted.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't even realize that.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Big time crazy.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: And well, I just go back to and I'm still angry about it when when they played in Miami in their game in Josh Allen clearly.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: clearly had heat exhaustion, and should not have been in the game.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: None of them.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Well, but he, you know, he, he was really a mess.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: And the heat affects people differently.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: I remember him saying afterward, he said it took him three days to refer from that.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Rusty anyway.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: It gets your legs back and get everything back, but yeah.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it's going on.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: He does the fact that it's going on.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: Um, with Harrison being out, it gives the other, um, rookie and opportunity to get reps in.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Darien Strong, Bobby Babich said, um, he's having a strong camp for his week.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: He had a strong, we had a, um, fumble, a force fumble on Zach, um, Davidson.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: So his opportunity for strong to get in there.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: The get all reps in.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I like this guy.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Love him.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, love him.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Six realm of big right.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and Dorian we have two Dorians now.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: So that that's kind of interesting.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning, Chris.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: So Dorian strong has been strong.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: Right from the get go, even at Minnie came, I remember when they were talking, it's like the guys picking everything up really quick from reports that I heard or saw on social media from the guys that were there, the media people that were there watching.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: They have all consistently, I look for that, like are we hearing a theme from the media about any players?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: And we keep hearing that about Dorian Strong that he is
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: way ahead of the curve that he's instinctive and all the qualities that you that you want to have in a player at his position.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: So oh boy, don't you just love it when one of these late round picks starts to flash in front of your face and I'll go right out on a limb because it is a limb until we've seen a draft for three years.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: But this could turn out to be one of if not the best draft that Brandon Bean has had because top to bottom there's there's a lot of there are a lot of players that I have made me go.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: Not even that just now during strong broke up a pass pass up broke up past up contested catch by Ray Davis.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: See, this guy has got instinct.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: And you can't teach that, you can't teach it.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: And so how do you get to, that's what the question for all the scouts are, when you're looking at players, and this is why I always say the intangibles matter, you need to, you need to be there with your eyeballs and watch, because sometimes it doesn't always pop up on tape.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: right when you see some interacting with their teammates and all of that.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then on top of it, I'll have all these instincts that Dorian Strong is showing us that he has.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's making a strong case for himself.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: They won't be able to put him on the practice squad.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't, you can't put him on a, no, there's no way.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the cut down is going to be insane.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: You go from, what is it?
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: to fifty three and one fell swoop.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's insane.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's insane.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's like it's like, it's like undrafted free agents after the draft the minute that the draft is over.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's insanity because all the all that's the same thing.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to happen on cut down day.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for tuning in.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate it.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was my friend.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, what's up, Charlotte?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Any friend of Robbins is a friend of mine.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: What's up?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Charlie is awesome because Charlie reads my blabber on the blog and replies with with wonderful comments and I appreciate her so much.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let's manifest this into existence.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the case, the other guy that we're going to talk about, this defense is got me checked.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, before we get on to defense though, do you want to stay on defense?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: We can stay on defense when we can move it around.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_02]: We can do whatever you want.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so let's stay on defense then since we're there and we're talking about cornerbacks.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk about the cornerback that may start week one.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_02]: Tray White is having himself
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: a great camp.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like Tray said, it's like being at home again, he got his feet underneath him.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: I am so I was just tell you my personal opinion about Tray.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Tray was my favorite favorite draft pick from the Buffalo Bills.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I said, after Tray, I was not going to be rooting besides Josh Allen of course.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like having a personal favorite, I got Trace Jersey.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then when he left, I was like, really, it was really hurt.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's my guy.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: And now that he's back and he's doing so freaking, and you can just see it on his face.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_02]: This man said, I put in suit and try to help us.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I put in so much effort work.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here to effort.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he was just, he's ready.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's so exact.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're so right.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: You're so right.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: You captured that perfectly in his enthusiasm and coming back home to family to the comments that he made, which intrigued me, of course, that he has established relationship with, I think, Dr. Des, he mentioned her.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: and that he's gone through therapy.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: So for me, because I remember when he was first injured with his ACL before the Achilles even happened.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Tray was wrecked emotionally.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_00]: A long time.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: A long time.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: Really long time to trust his legion.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why when the Achilles thing happened, it was just so freaking tragic.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think we all cried.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we really felt that same Achilles.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: We were like, I know I remember we were watching it.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: People come over to the house and he went down and he slammed the helmet and the room.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: you just like it just the air just went with sucked out of the room and I was just I was like, oh my God.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's fan on.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: He is a core member of this team and when he was gone, it just didn't feel right.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Terran Johnson talked about how they talked all the time.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: He always stayed connected, you know, with the bills.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I have to admit, looking at him,
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: in that Ravens uniform.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: It bothered me as much as watching Thurmond Thomas in a dolphin's uniform.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I forgot it.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: I always forget Thurmond Thomas with to Miami.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I just block it out.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think I just block it out because we're there.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's not all the fall in the race.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: We had with Thurmond, right?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, we're so many wonderful memories.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: But that was not one of them seeing him in a dolphin's uniform.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't like seeing tray and Ravens uniform.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm pretty sure.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: And we're gonna talk about hard nights.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm pretty sure this is gonna be on a hard nights segment is because they do call them Uncle Tray, which is, I thought that was just... I hope so.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: Who Tray is?
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: That deserves a lot of focus time by hard nights.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: The story with Tray.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Tray's story is remarkable.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: When, how hard?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like he said himself, like you said, he worked his effin' butt off to be worries at,
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is the best place for him to thrive.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: And not only that, let's think about this.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Tray has been like an insurance policy because we didn't know, you know, Max was going to be ready to start or not.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I wouldn't want to start, like you said, I don't want to start Max against the Ravens on Sunday night football season.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even if he was fully healthy.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean,
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes to trade, you know, everybody secretly is cheering.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: Brennan being came out and said, Tray did something and he found himself cheering for Tray.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's a boy.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: He was like, I had to catch myself because he knows how hard Tray has worked.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Dermina spoke so candid about the conversations that they had to have when he let Tray go.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: And he said, he broke down and cried and Tray was crying.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's, they have Brennan being shot at Dermit Tray White, have this connection because that was their guy.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: And for it to become right, and for it to come full circle back around, how can you not win and share for that guy?
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: And what a story for partners.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: What a story for them.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Can we move on on defense?
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, absolutely.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Because I just have
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: because I've been wanting to pick your brain about this and we just haven't been able to catch up with each other.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: I want to know everything that you think about Christian Benford.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: So Christian Benford, he's quit.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: He is deadly but quiet.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: And they said the man came in with a chip on his shoulder because I want to say
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think people forgot that Christian been for, and I get the number, forty-seven, right?
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to change it.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: He said that's something he wants.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't like it, okay, fine, whatever.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: And people will have talked to him about his number, and he said he's not changing it.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I love the silence as it, because that's what he is.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's leading.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's his number.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Why should we?
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: You need to do with it.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: And for Christian been for,
- 21:12[SPEAKER_02]: to get his payday, but also to be humble, and also to be like he's happy.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I've said that people have in a camp a great camp, but Christian been for from day one.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: That has been locking down all the white receivers.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I'm telling you, he is playing like at the tip of his game.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like on another level.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting and we've talked about this a little bit, but isn't it a testimony to the culture that you have a Christian benford you have a Greg Russo who don't even test the market.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: They sign a very friendly contract.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Stay with the Buffalo bill and.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think it might have been Joe Moreno that might have been mentioning this on his podcast, but it's such a good point that these players may realize that part of their success comes from being with the bills on their defense and that their talent is best suited
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: for the bills kind of defense, and that they know that, and they don't even want to bother going out to test the market, because they know that they wouldn't be as successful, maybe with another team.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that plays a part, but what kind of a testimony is it that these guys take a hometown discount, and James Cook aside, I know that James, but focusing on the guys who did take a hometown discount,
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think it says something.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: It does.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: It definitely definitely does.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, speaking of when you were talking about the defense and being suited for that defense, look at danger acts and danger acts and what somewhere else came back.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm also who else someone left someone else left.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god, he was Pittsburgh.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I can see his face.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: I can't think it was name.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: He played for Pittsburgh.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know where he's at right now, but he went and got the bag.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: And now, I don't know if he's out of league, but he's not a starter.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I'll say this about the defense.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: This defense, if you're good in one way, they're going to make it, they're going to cater to your strengths.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's what this defense does.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't think danger acts and going to Charlotte are going to Carolina.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: And not saying that he, I want to be nice when I say this.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: Right, he just didn't make it, right, he just didn't make it coming back to Buffalo and they're taking them in and saying, all right, you're good in this.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: defense.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: We know your strengths.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to do anything that will put you on an island.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: So that says a testimony about the Buffalo bills and catering to what they do best.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, your player, right?
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know the work ethic.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Dean Jackson, if he has to play, I think he's going to do just fine.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: Also, no, no, you know what I was thinking about tomorrow, heaven.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: Tomorrow, heaven wanted to go out and test the waters.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: Got a whole new agent.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe that agent said to him, listen, the bills are offering you this.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a lot of people is calling or saying that you're going to be a starter.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: They know you suit this defense best.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: Why don't you stay here?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that's exactly what happened.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: exactly what happened because I don't want to get caught up in some mess.
- 25:11[UNKNOWN]: That's what we were happened.
- 25:12[UNKNOWN]: But yeah.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: have gone, twenty five minutes into this discussion.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to know on the record, we have talked for twenty five minutes.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I have yet to be able to say how much I love my big massive humanity.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: I could not go this long.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: I can't go another minute without talking about it.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it is a massive mess.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: When I went on Thursday, I was like, that's a big one.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: He's, you know, because when I first went when Russo was a rookie and he, you're, wow, wow, same thing happened with with Walker.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm looking like, not only are you big tall, but you're big.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: Big wide.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: And won't he's huge?
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that they show with Ed Oliver standing next to him and he said, man, he does.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: I got an Ed was so hilarious in the press conference when he called him a dancing bear.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's crazy.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_02]: I just hold.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: And he's not only any restrictions when it comes to his back.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: And he thought that that's what's going to have to happen to him at training camp.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: It came out that he's doing well.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's a lot of people content creators who didn't really want the bills to get this guy and I think that he's going to prove a lot of people wrong because I know people are saying that he has slow feet and this and that all that stuff will develop.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's very wrong.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_02]: He's very, very wrong.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to have to take up two blocks.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_02]: Help me some sweat.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Give my pants, sweat.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, do I see him being a starter?
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Probably not.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think, like, we all know this defense is a rotational piece.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: We know that.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine him falling on top of you?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love D on Dawkins response because he was like, man, that defensive line is big.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: We got a defensive line now, I think, because the other guy that has been shining, that not a lot of people are talking about, but they shoot as TJ Sandler.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's having himself a camp as well.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, yes.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's six, seven, three, thirty one.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's only twenty one years old.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: Only twenty one.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's my hunger burning love.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's how you've probably got your guys.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: You've finally got your guys.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Five years.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Five years.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I know for this show from day one was asking.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_02]: And only took four years for the show.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: It took five years for you going to go back to my Twitter feed.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: You can go back five years.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's pathetic, but yeah, every year every draft we would ask and we wouldn't get one and then this year.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: And truthfully, that back injury he had that limited him in his senior year, Kentucky, could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, because we got him in the fourth round.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: People weren't getting off of him because of the screener before that.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I know there were people that didn't like him.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's got an odd body size.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's not, he's a one technique defensive tackle.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's not, he's not meant to be facts.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, it's fragile his feet, even though they talk about his feet, he's very agile.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's why it all ever called him the dance and bear.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: I can not wait.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: I know our next preseason, our preseason game is next Saturday.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: I can not wait to see what's going to happen in rotation.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's not going to be any of starters, but I just want to see how the rotation piece will happen when it comes to
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: Dion Walker when it comes to the second year guy.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: Why can I think of his name?
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Why can I think of her at the guy's name?
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: Wayne.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: Wayne.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: Wayne.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: Wayne Carter.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: Wayne Carter.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, wait, like what that's gonna happen was CJ's gonna happen.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, land in Jackson, what like was all of that.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be a piece.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like we got defensive pieces in here and like Bobby Babbage said, like Sean McDermott said, they want this defense to be physical and nasty.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: And I've never heard these guys talk about a defense physical and nasty.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: Like nasty.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: I want the guys to be nasty too.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna blitz more.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: I hope so.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: Mark my words are going to be blitz and more.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: And this defense is going to take on a lot of coach Nielsen's personality.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: That he would, he would, something, what did he come from?
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he turned around New Orleans.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: They're saying Stephens.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: He was the one that orchestrated to turn around.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's me for them.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: And then he went to Jacksonville.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he, Jacksonville had a, yes, nasty ass.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because they had the other Josh Allen over there.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: So he had that experience.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: But he's, you know, he's been a coordinator in the past.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: So he's a very,
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: educated person in terms of the job, so to speak.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's going to be a good mentor in working with Bobby Babbage.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: Our sticking sticking on the on the defense.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: I have a question for you, Robin.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sean McDermott spoke about shortcomings on the team.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: And he stated it was the defense putting maybe.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: Sean McDermott on blast Bobby Babbage on blast.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think by doing that, you think that he's putting these guys on notice this year?
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: The team or the, or the, the coordinate, but Sean McDermott and Bobby Babbage.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be on notice.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think so?
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't because first of all, I think Bobby Babbage's defense is going to be so good this year that there's not going to be a problem with that.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to just hope that he doesn't move on.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: And if he does, my guess is Nielsen will step into his role so that he continuity there as well.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: So the plan is in place, but no, I'm not concerned.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really concerned about it at all.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: And this, okay, Rob, if you're listening.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: This, probably not good.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: Obsession with focusing on blaming Sean McDermott for everything and are we finally going to hold him accountable and all of that.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_00]: I can't co-sign it.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: Cannot will not know co-sign it.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I believe that the people who are focusing
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: on trying to hold Sean McDermott accountable for something.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's thirteen seconds or whatever anybody has in their head that they're holding him accountable for with all due respect.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_00]: Give it a rest because
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's reached the point where it's almost in obsession.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: And when you reach that point, everything, every data point that goes into your head, you're already tainted because of your bias, because for whatever reason, you're obsessed with focusing on the negative aspects of this, of this coach.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think it's not helpful and let's face it.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: Does anybody really think Sean McDermott's job is in jeopardy given his track record?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see it.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand, and like I said, I respect other people's opinions.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't, I don't agree with it.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with, I mean, I'm with you.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know how I say it.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know how I stand.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know how I roll.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just think if you don't give, I'll say this, and I'll leave it.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't give, it's just like things in life.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: If you hold that person to a standard of, or just hold that person to where they were in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll say this and I'll leave it again.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're good.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're good.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: If you just want, if you just don't like someone and you want them removed, then let that be what it is.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have to continue to say, but this is what he's doing.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: And this is what he's doing.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: She said, you know, it's just like anything in life.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't like a person, then you, okay, I don't like that person.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: Period.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_02]: So whatever I'm going to say behind that, it's always going to be something of negative.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to go to a negative filter, right?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: And you're always going to find something now.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: You've already got your mind made up.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: So everything that you're looking at from that point forward,
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: is biased, you're not being objective.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, that's all I have to say about it.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: I love you, Ross, but I'm not on the same page there.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: We even have, we didn't even speak about he on coal, we we speak about James Cook, we didn't even talk about hard knocks like hard knocks yet, hard knocks like I'm thinking of Jay Z. But let's talk about he on coal.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: We got it.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: Coleman and Josh Allen, apparently this offseason was practicing privately and I don't think a lot of people knew about it, but they have and then it's showing in training camp, even though the first day of training camp.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_02]: can drop every damn ball that was thrown to him.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was a little anxious.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: The butterfinger's getting nervous.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: And so everybody.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you've got to be kidding me.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: And here's something I just have to say this, because Kiana's taking a lot of unfair heat in my opinion.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: But you know why he's taking it because he gave it to himself.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: He said it.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: He said, I like trash.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't need y'all to tell me this.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: I see him.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: I looked at myself in the mirror.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: I seen how I play.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: I played like trash.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: So for everybody else saying kian kian he said I know I play like trash not to cut your off go.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: No, well, here's here's the thing though, kian
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: We all know about the second year expectations and all that kind of stuff that happened.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: But Josh spending time with him and basically scheduling, Josh's life is pretty busy in the off season too.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: And for him to take the time to go and meet privately and work with Kiann says wonders about what he thinks Kiann is capable of doing.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't do that if he thought, you know, okay, well, this guy's all right, but whatever and they work together and yeah, he on you can tell he's a high emotion guy, you know, you want to you want to get up in terms of his personality.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: That is a big part of it, right?
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's a big part of it.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's that kind of guy.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he's always going to feel things, right?
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to feel things deeply.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's he's going to have those moments.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's not unlike his quarterback in the early years of Josh Allen's career.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: There were always times that we talked about sugar high, Josh.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, girl, sugar high.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: And that was a very real thing.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: Josh was the same way.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: So some players, their innate personality, lends itself to being, you know, their own worst enemy to some extent early in their career.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: But they outgrow that.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: And Keyon's going to, he wants going to outgrow that.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: And he's a second year, like,
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's what bothers me though.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: They see like we talked about this.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: They see this stuff on social media.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't see it, their family does or absolutely.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: So they hear about it and it goes into their head and we need to stop.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think on social media, I'll get off my box, but I wish people would just stop ragging on players inappropriately.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: If it, if it's something they did and they need to deal with it then fine, you know, say your opinion or whatever, but you and I talked about this, I'm not one to be in the camp of ripping on players.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not me.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: Also to I think that we are, we are definitely in a different football stage like it was before they would give time to let these players develop to where now
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: You're pushing them out the door like it will be for it used to get you used to give like quarterback at least three years to develop now it's like no we don't even have time for your development because you know what there's someone in the draft that I can pick that can step in and do what they need to do that wins wins wins.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's all that matters.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: And now that we are winning, and I get, I kind of get what certain fans are saying.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Do you just want to be staying stagnant in winning the AFC division?
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that's it.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: Or do you want to take that next step?
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'd get it.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: There's also fans who's like, hey, that's seventeen year drought was a mother freaky to my mental.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad we're just winning.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're in the nurse fans.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_02]: They're just like, I just love football.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: So I get everybody's reaction to the dominant German and Josh Allen connection and not getting over that.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: We heard all the difference.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes it's a function of age.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think about being old now and my perspective is different than a younger person.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: Because I was talking, I was talking, actually it was with Rob.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking with about this because he was saying he'd be okay if the bill's just made it to the Super Bowl.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: And no, not they have to win if they don't got to win at this time.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: And old people, you talk to anybody over a certain age if you were alive and you live through those four super bowl losses, then it's not going to be okay, ninety nine percent of us are not going to be okay with a super bowl loss.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: And that is so odd for that person to say that.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: because you're just you because of what you know how your stance is.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to be okay just going to the Super Bowl.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like I just knew to be quite out what just came on yesterday was the floor.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was so awesome Buffalo.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: It was just on.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: And I was being smicked and and and Thurmond Tom was sitting and they were talking and it was just like
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: I have not really watched a whole thing through.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was just, I mean, why would I watch something when I kind of seen the tail end?
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm good.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really good.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't want to go there.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like going there is just going there.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's why going back to a Super Bowl and losing again is just incomprehensible to me.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_00]: Seriously, I don't want it.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I believed it so much, I'll say this, that when we lost in the AFC championship game, a part of me was relieved because I didn't think that our defense was good enough to be eagles.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's the gods on us truth and how I felt.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then not even that, they were saying that Bengals game when
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: Everything happened with tomorrow.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: That was our best shot of winning the Super Bowl.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: How do you know that?
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know that.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know what that Ram's team was gonna do against Josh and we were deployed.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: We were depleted in our second team.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what are you talking about?
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: Totally.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: Go to YouTube and find Kyle Brance.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: little vignette that he did about what happens the following year after and it's mostly major players after they get married.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes, I see that.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: I love that because it was like, wow, he's talking about one player after another and they have these career years.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I think this year, this year could be really good for Josh.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be special, you know, our defense is our defense has totally changed.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: Our offense to, yeah.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: totally.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: And they focused on that and and Rich, I do see your comment and I'm with you.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_02]: It, you know, it's so easy and I'll get back on it on defense.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's so easy to pick out what the bills haven't done and what who we can't get over.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's so easy for us people and other fan bases to say that and I get it.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: My homes are the problem for everyone, maybe not last year because, you know, the Eagles beat them and I just think
- 43:55[SPEAKER_02]: that team was just catching my homes was just different last year.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but everybody, every, you've started off the year, thirty two teams want to make it to the Super Bowl.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_02]: And we all know that they're, they're, they're, they're all are not going to make it in only one team will come out.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: Which is right, you know.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: And like, it's going to, you, all of you, object failure every year if they don't win the Super Bowl.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I don't, I don't even know how to argue with a person.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like with that mindset, like I don't know.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, but yeah, we have a patch with the home's issue because we are there with them in a championship game and they beat us maybe three points or seven points.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: We've lost to them.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: seven points or less.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they didn't beat the hell out of us or nothing like that.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe the first time we met them, but other than that, it's always like three points or seven points or some type of whatever.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: But that's no here nor there.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to go talk about last year.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking about, in twenty four, two thousand, twenty five, I'm sorry, and what it looks like and how our difference is different and how there's only two people removed from our offense and our offense still looks incredible to me.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: I can't eat offense, James Cook.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: What's your thoughts about James?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's here.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_00]: He is, and I'm going to give James some big adaboys here, because I think James Cook listened to some very good advice, and that was to show up.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: James, we had a show up, but also to change the tone.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of why I'm going to get this money and you know it's not so much that now is his tones which more to look at this is what I think I'm worth and we'll see if the you know and of the season or whatever if we can come to an agreement in we'll deal with it then and he's there he's participating fully.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's engaging with his teammates, his teammates love him.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: He loves his teammates.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: He said that's part of the reason why he wasn't going to do any kind of whole thing.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: One word simply, Josh Allen or two words, Josh Allen.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that James has taken us slightly different tone in his approach, because I think it will help him in the long run.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's taking the high road.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's the right thing to do.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it did come out that he has the same Asian S, the guy from Cincinnati are, yes, Stuart.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: Shamar Stuart forgot his name.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: But he finally had signed his deal with the Bengals.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: He wanted some guaranteed, and I guess he got it.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: Now I don't know, because we're not really hearing it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: And Brennan being does a talk contract.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: They try it every time you say, you know, guys, I don't talk contract in the, in public in something that we just don't do.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm glad.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like I, I'm glad that James Cook is here.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad it's not a whole den.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think he understands
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: If he doesn't want to play for the Buffalo Bills, someone's going to be looking at him and saying, get that guy on our team.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what he actually has said to repeatedly is that look at it, you know, I want to get paid what I think I'm worth what I deserve.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: And if it isn't here, then it'll be somewhere.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't said in kind of a menacing or threatening way.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: He was just being very factual.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciated the, you know, the little bit of a shift in the in his tone.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think was very helpful.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Right, for sure, for sure.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what he's going to get paid.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_02]: I hope they can meet somewhere in the middle and what we do know that he's going to be playing this year.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: And what we don't what we know for sure if it doesn't happen.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: He won't be here next year.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: So, but
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: As of today, he's on the roster and he'll be playing so I'm just happy about that.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_02]: But our last things to talk about is hard nots.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: What is some storylines you think they make discuss and what do you want to see?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to see Trey White storyline.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see them interview him.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see every bit of Trey White that I can possibly see because I think he's an incredible story and very compelling.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like that for sure.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that was just Alan right, but I mean, that's I think because they asked Josh who was going to be the best storyline for hard knocks and I was shocked he said Khalil Shakir.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: A little old cochlea who would know, but apparently he's quite the jokester in the dorm and Josh said that he's he's a lot funnier than people realize really.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_02]: I know John put it up here that it is August.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: August fifth Tuesday.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: And what time is it?
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: Eastern time I forgot nine o'clock Eastern because nine o'clock and think so if John you could do it again for me.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate it because I can't find a yard.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all are like late owls man.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: I live in the mountain time zone where shit starts early and thank you.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: Christopher, this happens.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yes.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Wouldn't that be something?
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that would be something.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it won't be something for sure.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, today's football tonight is football Thursday.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: We have, um, the whole fan gate, the whole fan gate.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: Holy crap, who's I don't even know what's going.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: It is the chargers against Detroit.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of look at it.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: And see people don't like preseason games.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: I love them.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: I love preseason games.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: What's up, Kenneth?
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: I love preseason games.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: Because I like football.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I want to see.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: These guys are playing for their jobs and in the bottom of the roster.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, I think it's I love I love the preseason.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, for sure.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: I definitely will be watching it.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's nothing else to watch on the Thursday right now.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: full balls on and I'm definitely going to be watching it.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: I watch all of the bill's preseason game.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: I know there's a lot of people that don't do it, but the bills are on.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: Why not those are my guys.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to watch my guys play back at what the back end of the roster looks like.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's it's preseason.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's a practice for all of us as fans.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we need to get up to speed.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we do.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we do.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: We went fifty one minutes, but you know what, we blabbed and I feel like I could still blab for another hour.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I know because we, this was the longest that we did not talk.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: On a pod you and I because we did take a break like this.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: So we took a break.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: We all mean you both needed a little mental break and I'm glad that we did it.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: But we're back now.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_02]: We're best.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_02]: Thursdays.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: You.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love you too.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: I just like Tiffany.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: I have to say this, Tiffany.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know right.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: You government.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: But Tiffany is.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: a special person and I just want everyone to know how special she is to me and hopefully to lie down that I get to I get to spend time with her talking about the bills.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god stop it.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: I love you too.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I'm not doing this with you, but you know, I would feel.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: Oh Richard.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_02]: Richard said he grew up with.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: Can you pray this, Richard?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_02]: Mom, so, you know, as many as special teams.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Carl's fingers if he can find, if they can find a place for a special team.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: And he was injured, he was on the injury list and that made me sad too.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_00]: I hate to see if he's in time, especially that are at, you know, kind of at the bubble of the roster.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: And we need special team or so, hey, he might make it as a special team or for sure.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for sure.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_02]: Um, thank you guys for tuning in.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: Um, again, please go talk to me.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: So much.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I see your support.

- 53:05[SPEAKER_02]: And right, right this.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: And give us a review.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: We are back again.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_02]: Every Thursday's at eleven o'clock on the bill.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: The Buffalo Network.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: Again, guys, thank you.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see back on that work.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: Love you guys.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, for sure.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're all guys.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's always.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: Go bills.
