- 1:18Speaker 1: the Favorites, the podcast from the Volume Podcast Network. I
- 1:22Speaker 1: and Chad Nollman, Cheap Content Officer of the Action Network
- 1:27Speaker 1: Massive Massive Sports Week. You think, coming out of March Madness,
- 1:31Speaker 1: we slow down a little bit, but the bang never
- 1:36Speaker 1: stops at the Action Network. We've got Major League Baseball
- 1:40Speaker 1: opening days this week. You could argue that people are
- 1:44Speaker 1: even more excited about The Masters Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Simon Hunter, Professional Bidder, my bff, my companion Michael Padre
- 1:55Speaker 1: joining me always my co host. Dude, Masters is sneaky
- 2:00Speaker 1: big in the betting world. I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 2:02Speaker 1: This is a Duke fan. I'm still dead inside a little.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I can't say I'm not. It's over Coach k the
- 2:06Speaker 1: worst way it could possibly end the u n C.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But a really smart friend of mine, a fellow gambler,
- 2:12Speaker 1: he sent me something that Buddhist said, in this universe,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the only way to create is with destruction. So that's
- 2:18Speaker 1: what happens. We got destroyed, but something maybe beautiful will
- 2:21Speaker 1: come from it. I can tell you I haven't moved on.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm not moved on yet. But thank God for the Masters.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I can talk about Tiger all week with other betters.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's just gonna be a fun week. I think that's
- 2:30Speaker 1: why you just said people are more excited for the
- 2:32Speaker 1: Masters and baseball right now is just because we all
- 2:35Speaker 1: kind of see it, right, We all see this might
- 2:36Speaker 1: be the end for Tigers. So this is how we
- 2:38Speaker 1: know the spring times here, right, bro? It is great
- 2:41Speaker 1: and you're right. Jason Syllable the pre eminent golf betting
- 2:46Speaker 1: journalist of his generation. He also happens to be an
- 2:50Speaker 1: Action Network senior writer. He's got the Links and Locks podcasts.
- 2:56Speaker 1: He's got the Gimme our Live show that will preview
- 2:59Speaker 1: the Master uh this upcoming Wednesday night. The one thing
- 3:03Speaker 1: I want to say, even though Duke lost, that was
- 3:06Speaker 1: an epic college basketball game. Holy crap, that was just
- 3:10Speaker 1: so much fun to watch. Do you have a take
- 3:13Speaker 1: on the Duke players walking off the court without shaking hands.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm not a Duke fan, but I was rooting for
- 3:20Speaker 1: Duke to win it all because I'm sentimental. I like closure,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I like the idea of them winning it for Coach K,
- 3:27Speaker 1: even though so many people I know hate Coach K.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Do you have a take. It's like the old Jason
- 3:33Speaker 1: Kelsey sand in Philadelphia. Nobody likes us, we don't care.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That's what it is with Duke. You're a coward kind
- 3:39Speaker 1: of piece of ship if you don't shake the other
- 3:40Speaker 1: team's hand when you after a game like that, like
- 3:43Speaker 1: that is a great game, was a clean game. I love.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Just hit a clutch three at the most important time.
- 3:49Speaker 1: That's why U n c one. So I hated that
- 3:52Speaker 1: they didn't shake hands, But who knows what was said, right,
- 3:54Speaker 1: That's why I never tried a rush to judgment. To
- 3:56Speaker 1: me though, that's the lowest form of just being a
- 3:59Speaker 1: howard like them in the eyes shake their hand after
- 4:01Speaker 1: you lose, like no one likes to lose. That's why
- 4:03Speaker 1: you play the game. Though, So I hated that they
- 4:05Speaker 1: didn't shake their hands. I noticed the players walking off
- 4:08Speaker 1: the court and they hadn't shaken hands. But I also
- 4:10Speaker 1: thought it was like North Carolina immediately went into celebration mode,
- 4:14Speaker 1: right and players, the North Carolina players weren't lining up
- 4:18Speaker 1: to shake hands. They were sort of all celebrating and hogging,
- 4:20Speaker 1: and they were in the corner. And I think the
- 4:22Speaker 1: Duke players, I don't know. I'm maybe I'm giving them
- 4:25Speaker 1: the benefit of the doubt because coach k and the
- 4:26Speaker 1: coaches stuck around. I think that the Duke players were
- 4:29Speaker 1: like games over there celebrating. I guess we're not doing it,
- 4:32Speaker 1: you know, so we're gonna leave. Maybe I'm being completely naive.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I think you're just a nice guy.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I think they were just embarrassed, Like lost to him
- 4:39Speaker 1: twice in a row. That's that was embarrassing. So that's
- 4:42Speaker 1: why you and I are ying and Yang. We complement
- 4:44Speaker 1: each other so well. You bring you bring the cynicism,
- 4:47Speaker 1: I bring the optimism. I bring the benefit of the doubt.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You bring that everybody's evil. That's totally cool. East and
- 4:54Speaker 1: so well. I feel like he lives in the middle
- 4:56Speaker 1: of this world. Right now, you're Augusta. Right now, I'm
- 5:00Speaker 1: list of you. You would have the greatest job in
- 5:02Speaker 1: sports journalism. I thank all the people that have have
- 5:05Speaker 1: helped pay the way to to get me to this job.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I can't believe you guys are talking about other sports
- 5:10Speaker 1: during Master's Week. That's sort of sacrilegious. I've been watching
- 5:13Speaker 1: March Madness hoops the entire time. I will give up
- 5:16Speaker 1: now uh and not watch Kansas U n C. Because
- 5:20Speaker 1: it's a golf week. It's all golf all the time
- 5:22Speaker 1: this week. And I hope you guys are on board
- 5:24Speaker 1: with that. I'm a hundred percent on board with that.
- 5:27Speaker 1: As the kids say, I'm here for that. I don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: think we should lead Dally. I think we should get
- 5:31Speaker 1: right into it. We're gonna talk about Tiger. He has
- 5:34Speaker 1: had a Kobe esque ability to reclaim the narrative about
- 5:40Speaker 1: who he is, and it shows you that time heals
- 5:42Speaker 1: all wounds and he has sort of become again is
- 5:46Speaker 1: beloved figure in the golf work. But listen, you've wrote
- 5:49Speaker 1: a great column, your Master's Preview on Action network dot com,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and the Action Network Gap down Lift for Free is
- 5:55Speaker 1: always like I must read. You start off with a
- 5:58Speaker 1: very interesting premise that there are stats that matter and
- 6:02Speaker 1: stats that are essentially stupid. You run down the elimination factors,
- 6:07Speaker 1: which everybody always does for the masters. Take out people
- 6:10Speaker 1: who haven't one who have done this, take out people
- 6:12Speaker 1: who haven't want to have done this, and you can
- 6:14Speaker 1: narrow down the field because it's always so hard to
- 6:15Speaker 1: do that. Talk to me about your elimination factors right now. Yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: So I think we look chat as the last ten
- 6:22Speaker 1: years here at Augustin National, Uh, no player who's been
- 6:25Speaker 1: ranked outside the top thirty has won this tournament. I think, okay,
- 6:30Speaker 1: there's something to that. Does that mean the player who's
- 6:33Speaker 1: ranked thirty first in the world right now can't win
- 6:36Speaker 1: this week and has no chance? Of course not. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: think we have to open up some common sense when
- 6:41Speaker 1: we do these eliminators. This is a a popular little
- 6:44Speaker 1: internet gimmick. I'm I'm all for internet gimmicks as far
- 6:49Speaker 1: as especially as far as golf prognostication is concerned, and
- 6:52Speaker 1: trying to figure out a cutezy way of you know,
- 6:56Speaker 1: who can win this tournament? And I like the fact
- 6:58Speaker 1: that you know, you can look at it that way.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It you don't necessarily eliminate anyone. You just say, okay,
- 7:02Speaker 1: there's there's a much better chance that we will have
- 7:05Speaker 1: a world class player winning this as opposed to a
- 7:08Speaker 1: player who's ranked somewhere after the top thirty in the world.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You can similarly look at form everyone going back to
- 7:17Speaker 1: Adam Scott back and I believe it was thirteen has
- 7:20Speaker 1: at least three top twenty five finishes in that year
- 7:23Speaker 1: prior to winning the Masters, And so it tells you
- 7:27Speaker 1: you don't necessarily have to be winning at a Scottie
- 7:29Speaker 1: Scheffler like Clip who's won three of his last five starts,
- 7:32Speaker 1: but you at least have to have played pretty well
- 7:36Speaker 1: in the three months leading up to the Masters to
- 7:39Speaker 1: come out and play well. And I think that's something
- 7:41Speaker 1: that should stand. Does that mean if you've only got
- 7:43Speaker 1: two top twenty five finishes, you're out. You can't do it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Tony Fee now uh fits that profile this year. Does
- 7:50Speaker 1: that mean he can't win? No, but it means, look,
- 7:52Speaker 1: we should probably give more credence to those who have
- 7:57Speaker 1: played well so far in the first three months. So
- 7:59Speaker 1: that's the kind of up that I'm looking at things
- 8:02Speaker 1: that are um more than just coincidences that have been
- 8:05Speaker 1: trends here over the last decade plus that we've seen
- 8:08Speaker 1: from the winners. Alright, so I should set the odds,
- 8:13Speaker 1: set the table before I ask you right off the
- 8:15Speaker 1: top who your pick is going to be. I don't
- 8:17Speaker 1: want to, you know, I don't want to delay. Uh
- 8:21Speaker 1: genrom right now, leader leading the field at eleven and one,
- 8:26Speaker 1: Justin Thomas twelve to Cameron Smith fourteen, Dustin Johnson sixteen,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Scottie Scheffler sixteen, Jordan's Speed eighteen, Rory eighteen, Victor holand
- 8:40Speaker 1: also eighteen. Before I give you my pick, I wanna
- 8:43Speaker 1: go through these odds just a little bit. You mentioned
- 8:45Speaker 1: all those instead of you know, having one dominant player,
- 8:49Speaker 1: instead of you know, we for so long come to
- 8:51Speaker 1: August every year and Tiger Woods the prohibitive favorite, and
- 8:55Speaker 1: anyone else who's out there, you can get a pretty
- 8:56Speaker 1: good price on them because because Tiger was such a favorite,
- 9:00Speaker 1: he was so dominant at this golf course. Now we've
- 9:04Speaker 1: essentially got I think there are twelve players right now.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I believe a dozen players depending on the book you
- 9:08Speaker 1: look at. Chop around, of course, but I believe twelve
- 9:10Speaker 1: players who are twenty to one or shorter this week,
- 9:14Speaker 1: which makes it, first of all, really tough. There's a
- 9:17Speaker 1: lot of parody out there, but secondly, it gives you
- 9:20Speaker 1: a lot of decent options, I think, so you can
- 9:23Speaker 1: look around. My favorite of that bunch this week is
- 9:26Speaker 1: brooks kept. I was not a believer Chad after his
- 9:30Speaker 1: first major Championship that he could just go out and
- 9:33Speaker 1: and play his best golf of the Major. That was
- 9:35Speaker 1: back in almost five full years ago. Um I just thought, okay,
- 9:39Speaker 1: well he had a good week, you want a Major.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And then he did twice and finally after the third Bison,
- 9:46Speaker 1: you know what, this guy's got a lot of ego,
- 9:48Speaker 1: a lot of hubrists, a lot of confidence, maybe even cockiness,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and maybe he can just show a bit Major's kind
- 9:54Speaker 1: of flip the switch and say all right, I'm ready
- 9:56Speaker 1: to go play some some great golf right now. And
- 9:59Speaker 1: he does it, and so you know he he is
- 10:02Speaker 1: essentially the opiti me of what Tiger Woods has said
- 10:05Speaker 1: for years, which is I want my game to peak
- 10:08Speaker 1: four times per year. And I've spent the last ten
- 10:11Speaker 1: fifteen years asking world class players about how do you
- 10:14Speaker 1: get your game to peak? My favorite answer was Jason
- 10:16Speaker 1: Day was, I don't know. It's kind of shrugged at
- 10:19Speaker 1: me because you know, it's not like if I'm playing
- 10:21Speaker 1: really well in my last event before the Masters, that
- 10:24Speaker 1: I try to play worse so that I can play
- 10:26Speaker 1: better two weeks later. It doesn't really work that way.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So um brooks Kept has figured out a way to
- 10:32Speaker 1: get his game to peak for major championships. I look
- 10:35Speaker 1: at a week that we're gonna have where it's gonna
- 10:37Speaker 1: be warm, then it's gonna be wet, then it's gonna
- 10:40Speaker 1: be windy, that's gonna be cold Mother Nature, bringing in
- 10:43Speaker 1: all different kinds of elements. He deals with those elements really,
- 10:47Speaker 1: really well, just sort of shrugs them off. I like
- 10:50Speaker 1: kept if you'd asked me a few weeks ago, a
- 10:52Speaker 1: lot of people did. Patrick Cantley was the top by list.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Recent form is not quite where I want it to be.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That said, I've only him to number two in my ranking,
- 11:02Speaker 1: So I'm going to Kepka and then can't Ley for
- 11:04Speaker 1: my favorite two players this week. So why does form
- 11:09Speaker 1: not matter for Kepta? But it does matter for can't Ley.
- 11:13Speaker 1: First of all, it does matter for Kepta a little bit.
- 11:15Speaker 1: He's played well this year, reach the quarterfinals of the
- 11:17Speaker 1: match play in his most recent starts a couple of
- 11:20Speaker 1: weeks ago. But he's shown that he doesn't need any
- 11:23Speaker 1: form at these things. So I like the fact that,
- 11:25Speaker 1: all right, first of all, he doesn't need for him,
- 11:27Speaker 1: he can show up and essentially played his best golf,
- 11:29Speaker 1: which I've spoken with him about over the years, and
- 11:32Speaker 1: he said, well, he's very contruting when it comes to
- 11:35Speaker 1: this stuff. You know, we'll say, uh, you know, man,
- 11:38Speaker 1: you must be working at home or now, I don't
- 11:40Speaker 1: work when I'm at home. You guys don't know this.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And then we'll say, well, you don't work very much.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know, how how do you get prepared for the men?
- 11:46Speaker 1: He goes, I'm working so much at home. You guys
- 11:48Speaker 1: don't understand. He's sort of a walking contrary. And yet, um,
- 11:54Speaker 1: that's okay. Look whatever works for him. He builds up
- 11:57Speaker 1: this chip on his shoulder, whether he thinks everyone's doubting him,
- 12:00Speaker 1: whether he thinks people can't do it. He's not on
- 12:02Speaker 1: the interview schedule this week, uh here at Augusta National.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And I'm sure he's going to post that interview schedule
- 12:09Speaker 1: on his rental house refrigerator and keep referring back to it,
- 12:13Speaker 1: the fact that he's being overlooked or overshadowed or something
- 12:16Speaker 1: by the people that run this tournament. So um, look,
- 12:20Speaker 1: he's bad for him, but he doesn't necessarily need that
- 12:23Speaker 1: good form. Patrick can't Ley is a guy where again
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'd like to see some sort of form um. He's
- 12:29Speaker 1: been thirty three. Miscut then didn't reach the weekend at
- 12:33Speaker 1: the match play in his last three starts. That said,
- 12:37Speaker 1: his last two wins have come on the heels of
- 12:40Speaker 1: not great play either, both of the Memorial last year
- 12:43Speaker 1: and the Zozo Championship the year before. And so excuse me,
- 12:47Speaker 1: not his last two, but two of his last a
- 12:49Speaker 1: belief four wins um have come after he didn't have
- 12:52Speaker 1: great form, and so, uh, you can't he's I'd just
- 12:55Speaker 1: like to see something a little more. He started the
- 12:57Speaker 1: year with four straight top tens uh restarts. Since then,
- 13:00Speaker 1: like I said, not great, but I still like it's
- 13:04Speaker 1: not like I'm moving him down to thirty on my list.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I've just got him. Just blow kept it number two.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Now you talk a little bit about the weather. I'm
- 13:11Speaker 1: just wondering, is there a way to handicap that with golfing?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Like I know in football, for me, I can find
- 13:16Speaker 1: an edge when there's a weather for certain teams. There's
- 13:18Speaker 1: certain players you look at where it's like, Okay, if
- 13:20Speaker 1: this guy is a good day one when it's nice out,
- 13:22Speaker 1: he's really gonna blow away when the weather gets better.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Is that just impossible to really quantifying golf? Yeah, there's
- 13:28Speaker 1: no real stats. So it's hard when you don't necessarily
- 13:31Speaker 1: have the analytics to back it up because quite frankly,
- 13:34Speaker 1: wind changes, so we don't have stats. I would love
- 13:37Speaker 1: to see it advanced analytics sign and someday On Brooks
- 13:40Speaker 1: kept hitting shots in ten to fifteen miles an hour
- 13:44Speaker 1: and then you know what, where does he rank approach
- 13:48Speaker 1: shots from one fifty to one seventy five and ten
- 13:51Speaker 1: to fifteen miles an hour. I mean, that would be
- 13:53Speaker 1: great to be able to look at that stuff. We
- 13:54Speaker 1: don't necessarily have that, and so we're basically using the
- 13:57Speaker 1: old eyeball test, and uh, we can look at players.
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'll give it. Mark Leishman is a guy whenever it's
- 14:02Speaker 1: really windy, he's the guy that look at it. He
- 14:04Speaker 1: hits a low ball flight and so when it's windy,
- 14:08Speaker 1: he's not getting swirling up there on the winds. He
- 14:11Speaker 1: keeps it underneath it. And that's the kind of kind
- 14:13Speaker 1: of ball flight. I like, Now we're gonna get the
- 14:16Speaker 1: combination this week. It looks like of what we had
- 14:19Speaker 1: at the Players Championship a month ago, which is it's
- 14:22Speaker 1: gonna rain a whole lot and then it's gonna get windy,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and it's a weird combination. Usually when it's windy, it's
- 14:28Speaker 1: it's dry, and so it gets firm and the ball
- 14:30Speaker 1: is gonna blow all over the place. When it's wet
- 14:33Speaker 1: and then it's windy, you almost lose that combination of Okay,
- 14:37Speaker 1: well hit it low, keep it under the wind. If
- 14:39Speaker 1: you hit it low and it's wet, the ball roll
- 14:41Speaker 1: out as much. Now I'm looking at the big hitters.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Most of the big hitters are also high ball hitters,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and they kind of cancel each other out. So it's
- 14:48Speaker 1: a whole long, roundabout answer of yeah. I mean, you
- 14:51Speaker 1: can look at these things a little bit. Essentially, want
- 14:54Speaker 1: guys who just aren't unnerved by the conditions. And that
- 14:58Speaker 1: brings me back to a kept it who's just gonna go, yeah, whatever, man,
- 15:02Speaker 1: let's go play golf. We'll see what happens. And uh,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and he isn't going to be affected by it too much.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But I might want to look at the Players Championship
- 15:10Speaker 1: last month is at least a decent barometer for who
- 15:14Speaker 1: dealt with the conditions pretty well, who didn't mind it,
- 15:17Speaker 1: who relished that challenge, and who's sort of scared off
- 15:21Speaker 1: by a little bit and just you know, once it
- 15:23Speaker 1: wasn't perfect out for them, Um didn't have their best stuff.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I love it. I love a good weather golf, especially
- 15:30Speaker 1: like makes some think of the British Open every time
- 15:31Speaker 1: they play over there. It seems like it's twenty degrees out,
- 15:34Speaker 1: super windy on the coast next to the ocean. The
- 15:36Speaker 1: ball is blown all over the place in the rain.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But I would love to hear what the Tiger factor
- 15:41Speaker 1: is for this Am I getting a bump in a
- 15:42Speaker 1: number and a value because people are betting on Tiger
- 15:45Speaker 1: right now? Where again, who knows what that's gonna be. Like,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I think it's just a fandom where he's getting the
- 15:50Speaker 1: most of the bets, most of the money's coming on Tiger.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Is there a Tiger factor in the Masters where it's like,
- 15:55Speaker 1: you know what, that's not a dumb bet because he
- 15:57Speaker 1: does have an edge on this course? Yeah, I think so, Simon.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I think that we can look at Tiger. I wrote
- 16:05Speaker 1: him up my preview and again all of this has
- 16:07Speaker 1: to come with an asterisk. We're speaking right now late
- 16:10Speaker 1: Monday morning. He said he's a game time decision. He's
- 16:13Speaker 1: here in practicing augusta National he's on the interview schedule
- 16:17Speaker 1: for Tuesday. I can't imagine that he's going to go
- 16:19Speaker 1: through with all this and then not play the event.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And what we've heard from Tiger over the last handful
- 16:25Speaker 1: of months is that he's not coming out to be
- 16:27Speaker 1: a ceremonial golfer. So if indeed he does deem himself
- 16:31Speaker 1: healthy enough to play, and I think he play, then
- 16:33Speaker 1: we should expect him to play pretty well. He's not
- 16:36Speaker 1: just gonna come out and knocket around for two rounds,
- 16:38Speaker 1: get on the jet and be home for dinner Friday night.
- 16:40Speaker 1: He's gonna go out there trying to play well. And
- 16:42Speaker 1: so what I'm looking at and I'm that's not necessarily
- 16:45Speaker 1: gonna suggest that Tiger Woods can go from not hitting
- 16:49Speaker 1: a single shot in individual competition for more than sixteen
- 16:52Speaker 1: months and all of a sudden show up at Augusta
- 16:54Speaker 1: National and win the Masters again. Might be the greatest
- 16:57Speaker 1: sports story of all time after he authored one of
- 17:00Speaker 1: the greatest sports stories just three years ago. We thought
- 17:03Speaker 1: back surgery, multiple back surgeries. Coming back from that was
- 17:06Speaker 1: a lot coming back from a near fatal car accident,
- 17:09Speaker 1: almost losing a right leg, to when the Masters would
- 17:13Speaker 1: be unbelievable. But I do think there's some value in Tiger.
- 17:16Speaker 1: And I get it. This is gonna sound strange because
- 17:19Speaker 1: we never would have said this about Tiger back in
- 17:21Speaker 1: the day. Hey, there's value on Tiger for a top forty.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Uh yeah, no kidding. But Tiger Woods at minus one seventy,
- 17:28Speaker 1: I believe for a top forty play this week in
- 17:31Speaker 1: twenty one career starts as a professional at this event.
- 17:35Speaker 1: He's never finished outside the top forty, So I think that's, uh,
- 17:38Speaker 1: that's a very low bar to start with. Uh. If
- 17:41Speaker 1: you want some sort of Tiger Woods investment and you said, look,
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm a better but I'm also a fan. I want
- 17:47Speaker 1: to have a Tiger ticket. I want to be able
- 17:48Speaker 1: to root for him. I want my money on Tiger somewhere.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think top forty is a nice place to start.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I've got him, uh in my final rankings, which I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: still working on right now as we speak, but somewhere
- 18:01Speaker 1: in the twenty to twenty five range. I really do
- 18:03Speaker 1: think it'll be a very and I consider that a
- 18:05Speaker 1: huge success four Tiger. I think that's a major success
- 18:09Speaker 1: week for him, coming back from, like I said, not
- 18:12Speaker 1: having played in sixteen months and being able to return
- 18:15Speaker 1: to competition and not just not just play without extreme pain,
- 18:19Speaker 1: not just find his swing, but to be able to
- 18:21Speaker 1: beat a lot of the world's best golfers right now,
- 18:25Speaker 1: guys who are half his age, would be really, really impressive.
- 18:28Speaker 1: All of that said, I don't know where there's value
- 18:31Speaker 1: in bets for him further up down the board, further
- 18:35Speaker 1: up the board, because if you look for a top twenty, well,
- 18:38Speaker 1: I'm saying right now, I think somewhere in the you know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: load of mid twenties is where I've got him in
- 18:43Speaker 1: my ranking. So I don't think a top twenty players
- 18:46Speaker 1: value top thirty. Okay, sure you can, uh, you can
- 18:50Speaker 1: try that. I just think top forty is probably the
- 18:52Speaker 1: best value that. The part of this is that his odds,
- 18:56Speaker 1: quite frankly, are just so short across the board because
- 19:00Speaker 1: he's the as you guys know, the New York Yankees,
- 19:02Speaker 1: he's the Dallas Cowboys, he's the Los Angeles Lakers, he's uh,
- 19:06Speaker 1: the popular play that everybody wants to have a ticket
- 19:09Speaker 1: on just in case, and that's what keeps his number
- 19:12Speaker 1: so low. Well, look, you're I want to remind everybody
- 19:15Speaker 1: you're gonna go much deeper on betting and dfs with
- 19:18Speaker 1: links and locks are podcast. Uh that'll be out probably
- 19:22Speaker 1: Tuesday night. Um again, we're recording this Monday mid morning.
- 19:27Speaker 1: The Tiger thing, I do want to dig in on
- 19:29Speaker 1: that just for one more second, because look, in the
- 19:32Speaker 1: middle of this tournament, in the middle of this hype,
- 19:35Speaker 1: like everyone is anxious for Tiger to come back, Everyone
- 19:38Speaker 1: is rooting for him to come back from this leg
- 19:41Speaker 1: injury and the trajectory of him in public life. I
- 19:46Speaker 1: feel like there is just so much warmth and love
- 19:51Speaker 1: and sentimentality for Tiger because of the way he's managed
- 19:57Speaker 1: his career later in life. Um, what do you see
- 20:03Speaker 1: from him personally that helps contribute to this change in
- 20:07Speaker 1: sort of attitude towards him? You know, as with a
- 20:11Speaker 1: bunch of colleagues last night chat and we were all
- 20:13Speaker 1: talking about we're actually talking about Phil Mickelson, and I said,
- 20:16Speaker 1: you know, I think society has changed a lot. And
- 20:19Speaker 1: there's a bigger a bigger question, a bigger topic than
- 20:24Speaker 1: just Tiger and just golf. But I think society has
- 20:27Speaker 1: changed a lot over the last forty years. That we
- 20:30Speaker 1: used to root for our heroes, We used to cheer
- 20:32Speaker 1: for our heroes. I think there's this shed and freud
- 20:34Speaker 1: is stick, uh opinion now of people that you know, hey,
- 20:39Speaker 1: you're you're rich, you're famous, You've had a great life,
- 20:42Speaker 1: and in society almost wants to bring you down a
- 20:44Speaker 1: little bit. You guys were talking about Coach K earlier
- 20:46Speaker 1: and how many people dislike Coach K and they wanted
- 20:49Speaker 1: him to lose the Final Four before we retired. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: you know, I feel like a generation, two generations ago,
- 20:55Speaker 1: people would root for the legends of whatever sport they
- 20:58Speaker 1: were into have more success. And so the fact that
- 21:02Speaker 1: Tiger has gone from absolute hero, absolute legend, to having
- 21:07Speaker 1: a personal downfall to being very mortal in the eyes
- 21:10Speaker 1: of a lot of people and having faults and not
- 21:13Speaker 1: being infallible by any means two going back to okay,
- 21:17Speaker 1: well now he's a legend again. And and I don't
- 21:20Speaker 1: know that you can find a person who isn't rooting
- 21:23Speaker 1: for Tiger Woods. I mean, this is uh, this is
- 21:25Speaker 1: a person who's been very, very mortal over the years, uh,
- 21:30Speaker 1: you know, off of the golf course, and we've sort
- 21:33Speaker 1: of lived through everything with Tiger a little bit. And
- 21:36Speaker 1: what we find from now is that he's more human,
- 21:39Speaker 1: it's more personal. He's a father now. He takes that role, uh,
- 21:44Speaker 1: at least from an outsider's perspective, as seriously as any
- 21:48Speaker 1: role that he's taken on the golf course. And so
- 21:50Speaker 1: we look at him and go, you know what, Uh,
- 21:52Speaker 1: we see a little bit of ourselves in him. Hey,
- 21:54Speaker 1: we've all grown a little older, we've all gone through
- 21:58Speaker 1: a metamorphosis in our lives, we've all gone through changes,
- 22:01Speaker 1: We've all done stuff that, uh that we've regretted, We've
- 22:04Speaker 1: done stuff that has been stupid. And then we kind
- 22:06Speaker 1: of come back and say, boy, I'd like to see
- 22:08Speaker 1: him have success. And so I guess the main point
- 22:10Speaker 1: here is that we don't always these days in society
- 22:13Speaker 1: root for those heroes, those legends to continue to have
- 22:18Speaker 1: that type of success. The fact that Tiger is essentially
- 22:23Speaker 1: you know, if he's in contention, if he could somehow
- 22:25Speaker 1: win this tournament or any tournament again, we tug on
- 22:28Speaker 1: the heartstrings of uh nearly everybody out there watching. It
- 22:32Speaker 1: would be pretty remarkable if you did. Yeah, there's just um,
- 22:37Speaker 1: it feels like there's a lot more humility with him,
- 22:40Speaker 1: and he talks much more openly about the challenges coming back. Specifically,
- 22:45Speaker 1: I think seeing him breakdown a little bit um has
- 22:49Speaker 1: helped reframe people's opinions to him to be honest uh.
- 22:53Speaker 1: And then the flip side of that, as you opened
- 22:55Speaker 1: the door on Michelson UH, and I do want us
- 22:57Speaker 1: to run down like top five, top ten, top twenty
- 23:00Speaker 1: long shots, but you open the door on Michelson And
- 23:04Speaker 1: obviously he's a guy who has had nothing but goodwill
- 23:08Speaker 1: his entire career. This is the first major, the first
- 23:12Speaker 1: huge event UH in golf since his the way he
- 23:18Speaker 1: handled the Saudi tour and the comments he made to
- 23:23Speaker 1: Alan schipnuk Um about sort of Saudi politics they're human
- 23:30Speaker 1: rights abuses and why he can dismiss all that. What
- 23:35Speaker 1: is the reaction right now is all of you gather
- 23:37Speaker 1: in Augusta to the film narrative bewilderment. I think is
- 23:43Speaker 1: maybe the most characterizing way that I can put it.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I'm not sure his fellow players understand. I spoke with
- 23:51Speaker 1: the player recently who is friends with Phil, plays a
- 23:54Speaker 1: lot of golf with Phil at text, and Chill said, hey,
- 23:56Speaker 1: how you doing everything okay? So essentially broke back yep,
- 24:00Speaker 1: good and so I don't know that anyone knows what
- 24:03Speaker 1: to think right now. I mean, you know, I was
- 24:05Speaker 1: sitting at dinner last night with a lot of colleagues
- 24:07Speaker 1: who have a lot of inside knowledge. We have no
- 24:10Speaker 1: idea if he's suspended from the PGA Tour or not.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We have no idea if you might play the p
- 24:16Speaker 1: G A Championship and defend his title next month or not.
- 24:19Speaker 1: We have no idea if Augustin National suggested that he
- 24:23Speaker 1: not played this week or not. I don't know exactly
- 24:26Speaker 1: what Phil, what's going on with Phil right now. I
- 24:29Speaker 1: have a feeling that whatever is out there is probably
- 24:32Speaker 1: only the tip of the iceberg, and that there might
- 24:34Speaker 1: be more coming out. And he suggested as much when
- 24:37Speaker 1: he wrote up his quote unquote apology, which didn't really
- 24:41Speaker 1: quite apologize for anything. But uh, you know, quite frankly,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I don't know what to think with Phil right now.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I'd assume that at some point he comes back and
- 24:51Speaker 1: we look at we got all right luck you sort
- 24:53Speaker 1: of stage to coup against the PGA two. You sort of,
- 24:56Speaker 1: you know, tried to to bring all your fellow elite
- 24:59Speaker 1: level players to uh a government backed Saudi based league
- 25:05Speaker 1: that uh you know, has has done some some heinous,
- 25:11Speaker 1: uh heinous things, as as a terrible human rights record,
- 25:16Speaker 1: and so you know, it's a lot of it's being
- 25:18Speaker 1: done for money, even though Phil says, you know, look,
- 25:20Speaker 1: we're trying to um tell the p G A tour,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you know, how things can be done a little bit better,
- 25:27Speaker 1: and we're trying to have our own rights and things
- 25:30Speaker 1: like that. But I quite honestly, Chad, I have no
- 25:34Speaker 1: idea what to think of where Phil is right now,
- 25:37Speaker 1: what Phil's doing, What's what's he thinking? Is he is
- 25:40Speaker 1: he planning a return, a comeback to professional golf soon?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Is he out for the rest of the year. Is
- 25:46Speaker 1: he out for the rest of forever? I mean, will
- 25:49Speaker 1: he ever tee it up on on the PGA Tour again?
- 25:51Speaker 1: Will we see him in a study league event in
- 25:54Speaker 1: a couple of months. I don't know the answers to
- 25:56Speaker 1: any of those questions. I don't think anyone does, except
- 25:58Speaker 1: for him and maybe only Chad. Let's go with something
- 26:01Speaker 1: a little softer here, Jason, what's your top five, top ten,
- 26:05Speaker 1: top twenty, Like Chad was talking about some good long shot, Yeah,
- 26:08Speaker 1: top five. I don't have a great long shot for you.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Probably the biggest long shot I've got is Wills Alataurus,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and I look at him very much the same vein
- 26:15Speaker 1: that I look at Jordan's speed through Um, you know,
- 26:18Speaker 1: we always have a narrative. You need to have experience
- 26:21Speaker 1: in Augustin National is a place where you've you've got
- 26:24Speaker 1: to play the Masters six, seven, eight times before we
- 26:26Speaker 1: really figure out this golf course in this tournament. Uh,
- 26:30Speaker 1: Jordan's speed figured out pretty early. And I feel like
- 26:33Speaker 1: Wills Alatorius and his first start last year runner up
- 26:35Speaker 1: to Dicki matsu Yama, he's sort of figured it out
- 26:38Speaker 1: a little bit too, and doesn't mean that he's going
- 26:41Speaker 1: to finish right up there every single year, but he's
- 26:43Speaker 1: a tremendous ball striker. And I look at him and
- 26:46Speaker 1: I don't have a whole lot of long shots in
- 26:48Speaker 1: that top five right now, So I'm not gonna give
- 26:51Speaker 1: you guys too far down the board. But I do
- 26:53Speaker 1: think that's Salatorus, the guy that can that can back
- 26:55Speaker 1: last year's runner up finished with another title contention this
- 26:58Speaker 1: year as far as top ten, Look you guys who
- 27:02Speaker 1: and Simon I want to speak to you, But Chad,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I know, isn't paying tremendous attention to golf on a
- 27:08Speaker 1: regular basis. I know he's a he's a golf fan,
- 27:11Speaker 1: but I know he's not a golf nut studying and
- 27:13Speaker 1: researching every single week. And so those of us who do,
- 27:17Speaker 1: we're almost a disadvantage for this one because we'll look
- 27:20Speaker 1: at Tony Finale this year ago. Well, his best finish
- 27:23Speaker 1: is a share of nineteenth place, and that was three
- 27:26Speaker 1: months ago at a shortened field, and the ball striking
- 27:29Speaker 1: numbers are okay, but they're not great, and he really
- 27:32Speaker 1: hasn't done much since that win uh in the FedEx
- 27:35Speaker 1: Cup playoffs last year, and it's been a while now.
- 27:38Speaker 1: And those who sort of helicopter in and only pay
- 27:41Speaker 1: attention to the majors will look at a big number
- 27:44Speaker 1: next to Tony Finale's name, go, he's good. I like him.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna pick him, and I think that works out
- 27:50Speaker 1: this week. I think you forget everything that you've learned
- 27:53Speaker 1: over the last three months, and I think there's almost
- 27:54Speaker 1: an advantage and having less knowledge about what's going on
- 27:58Speaker 1: with his Game's got three top tens and four career
- 28:00Speaker 1: starts at this event, and I do like him this week.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I think he's the kind of guy that can turn
- 28:05Speaker 1: his game on when he needs to, and it hasn't
- 28:07Speaker 1: been terrible. It's not like he's playing terrible golf coming
- 28:10Speaker 1: into this. Uh finished the top thirty last week at
- 28:13Speaker 1: the Valero Texas Open. Okay, that's not saying a whole lot,
- 28:16Speaker 1: but at least it's not like he's missing cuts every
- 28:19Speaker 1: week and then for a top twenty. If I was
- 28:21Speaker 1: to tell you, guys, the best ball striker, the best
- 28:24Speaker 1: iron player on the PGA Tour so far this season
- 28:27Speaker 1: is not Colin Morricawa, It's not Justin Thomas, not Wills Altoris.
- 28:31Speaker 1: It's Russell Henley. And Russell Henley is a guy who's
- 28:34Speaker 1: due for uh, what a lot of people call the
- 28:38Speaker 1: the positive regression, sort of the oxymoronic term that always
- 28:42Speaker 1: comes out in um in the analytics world, which is
- 28:46Speaker 1: essentially I look at him like a major League baseball
- 28:50Speaker 1: pitcher who's seven and twelve with the two seventy e
- 28:52Speaker 1: r A and you say, at some point, look, the
- 28:56Speaker 1: numbers are there, he's pitching. Well, he's just not getting
- 28:59Speaker 1: the help. He's not getting the luck. I mean, Henley
- 29:01Speaker 1: is a guy who last year at the Window Championship
- 29:04Speaker 1: led for three and a half rounds, wound up missing
- 29:07Speaker 1: a putt to get into a playoff and finished in
- 29:11Speaker 1: te seven. That's never happened before in the last twenty years. Uh,
- 29:15Speaker 1: the fact that you could lose by one and not
- 29:17Speaker 1: cash the top five ticket. Henley has had a whole
- 29:20Speaker 1: lot of bad luck like that over the last couple
- 29:22Speaker 1: of years. I think that he's due for some good luck.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I've got him just for a top twenty this week,
- 29:27Speaker 1: but top ten wouldn't surprise me whatsoever. For the record,
- 29:32Speaker 1: you nailed it. I'm not. I'm not, you know, going
- 29:35Speaker 1: back to it. I'm not digging into the golf stats
- 29:38Speaker 1: week to week because we have you, and we have
- 29:43Speaker 1: like Josh Perry, and we've got an entire team of
- 29:46Speaker 1: people that are doing it. All I have to do
- 29:48Speaker 1: is read what you guys right, watch the guinea, listen
- 29:52Speaker 1: to links and locks, and I'm done. That's that's all
- 29:55Speaker 1: I have to do. That's why we hired a great team.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Jesson Sobel, I appreciate you hiring it. They really do.
- 30:04Speaker 1: First round leader, give me a first round leader, Okay,
- 30:07Speaker 1: so I will start my first round leader played by
- 30:10Speaker 1: telling you that I like everything about Sam Burns this week,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I like Sam Burns for second round leader, third round leader,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and maybe even final round leader, which is also called
- 30:19Speaker 1: called the Masters Champion. He is in a marketplace where
- 30:24Speaker 1: it just seemed like almost everybody's too short. Sam Burns
- 30:28Speaker 1: number is twice as much as it should be this week,
- 30:31Speaker 1: at least from an outright perspective. He is fifty to one.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I saw this morning. Uh, he is the eleventh ranked
- 30:37Speaker 1: player in the world right now. He wont in his
- 30:40Speaker 1: last start of the valvest Bar Championship to start before
- 30:43Speaker 1: that at the Players he was right there in contention,
- 30:45Speaker 1: played in the final group or second to lass group
- 30:49Speaker 1: on that Monday afternoon before shooting a final round seventy.
- 30:52Speaker 1: The kid is really really talented twenty five years old.
- 30:55Speaker 1: The only thing I can find in that why he is,
- 30:59Speaker 1: why is are as long as they are, is the
- 31:02Speaker 1: fact that he hasn't played this event before in the past. So, um,
- 31:05Speaker 1: we all know, no Masters rookie has won this event
- 31:08Speaker 1: since Fuzzy Zeller back in nineteen seventy nine. It's been
- 31:12Speaker 1: an awfully long time. It doesn't mean they can't do it.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Though I mentioned Wills Alatoris earlier. I mentioned Jordan's speed,
- 31:17Speaker 1: who took to this event very quickly. I can see
- 31:20Speaker 1: Sam Burns uh jumping out there, uh, playing really well
- 31:25Speaker 1: on Thursday, and then playing well throughout the weekend. So
- 31:27Speaker 1: I like him for outrights. I've bet him already for
- 31:29Speaker 1: out rights. I really like him for first round leader though,
- 31:31Speaker 1: because he's a quick starter. Finished sixteen on the PGA
- 31:35Speaker 1: Tour last season in round one story average, he's twelve
- 31:38Speaker 1: already this season. Plays well on Thursdays, plays well usually
- 31:42Speaker 1: on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays as well. So he's a
- 31:45Speaker 1: guy that I like for full tournament, but especially first
- 31:48Speaker 1: round leader. Bets and what player are you avoiding? Like?
- 31:51Speaker 1: Are there a couple of guys you're avoiding in this tournament?
- 31:53Speaker 1: You know it's funny, Simon. I just saw a colleague
- 31:55Speaker 1: a few minutes before we start talking and he said,
- 31:57Speaker 1: any you like this week? And I gave him a
- 31:59Speaker 1: couple of names and about you, who do you like?
- 32:01Speaker 1: And he gave me a name that I had mentioned.
- 32:02Speaker 1: And so you know, there's really not many players in
- 32:06Speaker 1: the top thirty, top forty that you look at this
- 32:08Speaker 1: week and go, oh my god, I can't believe you're
- 32:10Speaker 1: picking him he's terrible. There are a lot of really
- 32:13Speaker 1: good players, and you can make a case for most
- 32:15Speaker 1: of them. Bryson the Shambo for me, is a very
- 32:18Speaker 1: easy fade. I think it's an easy fade for most people,
- 32:21Speaker 1: which is why his number is drifted so much. I
- 32:24Speaker 1: believe he was twenty one at this time last week
- 32:27Speaker 1: following another miscut at the Valerio, Texasopians now as high
- 32:31Speaker 1: as forty two one, and so I think some people
- 32:34Speaker 1: might look at that and say, Okay, I'm getting a
- 32:36Speaker 1: little bargain now on on Bryson. You know, I'm I'm
- 32:39Speaker 1: essentially getting half off on my Bryson ticket. Why don't
- 32:42Speaker 1: I go out there and have a little investment on
- 32:45Speaker 1: Bryson the Shambo this week? Um, where I look at,
- 32:49Speaker 1: maybe I'll bash it around and maybe no one expects
- 32:51Speaker 1: him to play well. I just don't see it happening.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I think he's more injured than he's letting on. I
- 32:56Speaker 1: think that he's got all these other things. He just
- 32:58Speaker 1: filmed the dude perfect video around Amen Corner, which just
- 33:02Speaker 1: blows my mind for about twenty different reasons. But um,
- 33:07Speaker 1: the fact that he's just not in any sort of form.
- 33:10Speaker 1: He doesn't have a hundred percent health Right now, I'm
- 33:13Speaker 1: staying away from Bryson, but there are very few players
- 33:17Speaker 1: in that top thirty. Like I said, where if you
- 33:19Speaker 1: brought up their name right now, I'd say, no, absolutely not.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I can see it. I can see the pros. May
- 33:25Speaker 1: there's some cons, but I can see the pros on
- 33:27Speaker 1: a whole lot of players. All right, So is there
- 33:30Speaker 1: one before we let you go? Is there one final
- 33:33Speaker 1: long shot we should be thinking about. There's a guy
- 33:35Speaker 1: and I talked about this being a ball striker's golf course.
- 33:38Speaker 1: There's a guy who's third on the PGA Tour this
- 33:41Speaker 1: season and Strokes Gayantee Degrade. Now, I don't know that
- 33:44Speaker 1: Luke List can go win this golf tournament. I don't
- 33:47Speaker 1: know that I want bet him out right. He's got
- 33:49Speaker 1: big number next to his name right now. He's about
- 33:52Speaker 1: one thirty one to one. But he wanted Tory Pines
- 33:56Speaker 1: earlier this year. Like I said, he's a good ball striker.
- 33:59Speaker 1: He's doing the verbill sleeping in his own bed this week,
- 34:02Speaker 1: so he's got a little narrative street there, and I
- 34:05Speaker 1: think he can have a really good week. He hasn't
- 34:07Speaker 1: played his best golf since that victory back in January.
- 34:11Speaker 1: But if you're looking for a guy who's completely off
- 34:13Speaker 1: the radar, and this might be less for outrights than
- 34:16Speaker 1: maybe a couple of props. You've seen some matchup players.
- 34:19Speaker 1: You want to play a DFS lineup and need a
- 34:22Speaker 1: guy who's a little uh, who's a little cheaper down
- 34:25Speaker 1: the board. When you look at Luke List, I think
- 34:27Speaker 1: he could have a nice week this week. Golf's first
- 34:30Speaker 1: Major is a tradition unlike any other, and right now
- 34:34Speaker 1: new customers can get thirty to one on Jordan's speech,
- 34:36Speaker 1: Rory McElroy or Dustin Johnson to make that cut at AUGUSTA.
- 34:43Speaker 1: That's right. If any of these players make the cut,
- 34:46Speaker 1: you win big. Personally, I'm looking at long shots like
- 34:50Speaker 1: the Abe answer this week, who could definitely surprise a
- 34:53Speaker 1: few people. There's no better time to get in on

- 36:15Speaker 1: want to know is, so, like I said, it's Monday afternoon,
- 36:19Speaker 1: and you've mentioned a couple of times, you know, having
- 36:21Speaker 1: to chats with your friends in the golf media world.
- 36:25Speaker 1: M h Tonight, Tomorrow night, Wednesday night. M hm. You
- 36:31Speaker 1: guys just all like go to some dinner and some
- 36:35Speaker 1: restaurant that every year you go to the same place
- 36:37Speaker 1: in Augusta, get to gossip about stuff in golf, like
- 36:42Speaker 1: who do you go out with, where do you go,
- 36:43Speaker 1: what do you do? Tell me? I need some use
- 36:47Speaker 1: so as you know, Chad, I'm also doing Masters Radio
- 36:50Speaker 1: this week, which is going to be on Sirius xm
- 36:53Speaker 1: PGA Tour Radios usual channel as I always do, hosting
- 36:58Speaker 1: my Hitting the Green show on Monday Day and Tuesday
- 37:00Speaker 1: and Wednesday, and then started on Thursday, I'll be doing
- 37:04Speaker 1: reports during our pregame show. I'll be doing player interviews,
- 37:08Speaker 1: post round interviews. During the live broadcast coverage. You've got
- 37:11Speaker 1: Mike Riko hosting the play by play, and UH and
- 37:15Speaker 1: Curtis Strangers our analysts in the booth. And then I
- 37:18Speaker 1: will be hosting the postgame show on Masters Radio with
- 37:22Speaker 1: our buddy Drew Stoltz the sleeves and so in any case,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'm hanging out with that whole crew all week. We
- 37:28Speaker 1: have a few houses all the houses are nearby. We'll
- 37:31Speaker 1: hang out uh somebody's house each night and maybe have
- 37:35Speaker 1: have some dinner. I believe we've got catering this year,
- 37:37Speaker 1: which we haven't had in the past, so we don't
- 37:39Speaker 1: have to go find a busy restaurant. We went out
- 37:41Speaker 1: to a Buffalo Wild Wings last night. It took an
- 37:43Speaker 1: hour to get a seat, and that was only a
- 37:45Speaker 1: Sunday night in AUGUSTUS. So you can just imagine how
- 37:48Speaker 1: busy it is trying to get out somewhere else on
- 37:50Speaker 1: any other night past that. So I believe we'll have
- 37:53Speaker 1: catering this year. I can tell you I've I've come
- 37:56Speaker 1: a long way from I believe the first Masters I covered.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I say, the comfort in there was three and a
- 38:02Speaker 1: half miles down the road, and I walked to and
- 38:04Speaker 1: from the golf course and every night and grabbed a
- 38:06Speaker 1: couple of green Rapports sandwiches on my way out the door,
- 38:10Speaker 1: and like eight sandwiches in this dirty hotel room. And
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm now staying in nice houses with friends and colleagues
- 38:18Speaker 1: and eating catered food. So um, that to me is
- 38:21Speaker 1: is a Master's victory. Chad, you know what, I didn't
- 38:24Speaker 1: even know we were going to get that story outstanding.
- 38:26Speaker 1: That's a that's a Jason Sobel victory, right there, Jason Sobel.
