  world of WWF in 1998 and good old Triple H came out in his

  apron there. Well, during this promo, he cuts

  a line or he drops a line about there's no need to ride Space

  blonde. And we were like, what the

  Hell's going on in January of 1998?

  And I went in and I did some research.

  I found an excerpt from a Brian Alvarez book, The Death of WCW,

  and ultimately this is when there were rumors of Flair

  coming to WWF, especially because Bischoff and Flair were
• 1:43
  having a true like battle that was playing out on television in
• 1:47
  the same way. So it it states that the WWF
• 1:50
  hadn't made a serious offer due to legal battles with WCW for
• 1:55
  Flair, But there were, you know, believe that Triple H was
• 2:00
  politicking in the background for Flair not to come to WWF.

  Well, think about WWF at the time too.

  It's like we're we're billionaire Ted, right?

  They're like making fun of the old men.

  And now you've got these new up and comers and of course, Triple

  H And you know, this will certainly get a comment or two

  politicking. But anyway, you know, thinking

  of this young up and Comer Triple H really getting his

  claws in DX and, you know, changing what WWF is all about

  years later and Evolution is here and you've got them being

  best buddies on TV. But at that point, Triple H is

  ladder, right? So it was an interesting

  from start to finish every single Monday night.

  So here we are. We're Monday night raw March

  2nd, 1998. So we've fast forwarded.

  But before we can dive in to this Monday Night Raw, I

  uncovered some dark matches for this Monday Night Raw.

  Unfortunately, I could not find any footage of these dark

  matches, but here they are. First Dark matches Brachus

  defeating Recon. Yeah, that's a real thing.

  Next match. Here's where it gets

  interesting. Jesus defeating Adam Copeland.

  All right. The next match Pierre defeating

  Mike Drossay. The dumpster.

  Duke the dumpster, Drosi and then the next and last dark

  match was Miguel, our boy, defeating none other than Sean

  Morley AKA Val. Venus.

  So I thought that was a pretty interesting group of dark

  matches with Edge and Val Venus. And then the fact that Duke the

  dumpster Drosi is still lingering in 1998 is wild to me.

  We get a recap of Monday Night Raw over the last few weeks,

  It it recaps the past few weeks of Raw and everything that's

  gone down with Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels and Mike Tyson.

  But before we can can move on again, I believe.

  But what really hit me, and it hits me every time we get to the

  Attitude Era and we start going through this stuff and you see

  the intro and the camera is panning all over the place at

  1,000,000 miles an hour, and all you see is signs.

  Just everywhere, people with signs.

  Far as the eye can see. Everywhere, everyone from the

  front to the very, very tippity top, everybody's just trying to

  get their face on TV behind this, well, not even their face.

  No, they're not poster. And then you're trying to like

  get around. Can you imagine bringing your

  kid to like a Monday Night Raw back then?

  Granted, you wouldn't because of the attitude era and everything,

  but imagine being like a little kid.

  Imagine taking one of your children to this type of event.

  can't guarantee that I am amazed at the transition from the last

  episode that we covered right January 19th of 98 to March 2nd

  of 98. I feel like there are such a

  there's such a drastic difference and we could talk

  more about it at the end. There's such a huge difference

  in the raws that we're watching. That's just my opinion.
