- 4:52[SPEAKER_05]: What a beautiful day.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_05]: For ideas we headed to another weekend here in August.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_05]: and just lots of things going on throughout the area.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_05]: Don't forget that clean up that Brian mentioned tomorrow morning up at Thomson Park.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_05]: I think it starts around nine and so if you can go help out a little bit, that's great.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_05]: Or if you just want to bring a box of doughnuts up, I'm sure that's appreciated as well.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, all righty, 755-1240 or phone number 315 in front of it.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_05]: That man, Joni, the guy who killed the insurance executive, he pleaded guilty to a federal charge of stocking and in hopes of avoiding the state murder charge, apparently.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_05]: their contention is under New York law, the same set of circumstances can't be tried twice under the double jeopardy law in New York, not the same everywhere.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know enough about it, but other people do.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_05]: And I guess he'd rather spend his time in federal prison than state prison.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_05]: Well, anyway, so that's going on.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_05]: I was just reading through the city manager's report.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_05]: A lot of things going on in the city and in the community might want to check it out.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_05]: It's nicely put together available on the news junkie.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_05]: You can reach it there if you want.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_05]: So check it out.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, those $200 checks, $100 if you single from the...
- 6:37[SPEAKER_05]: It's from Kathy Hook.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_05]: We could just say Kathy Hook, it's not driving us with our own money.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_05]: But it's to help you pay your electric bills.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_05]: They're going to start going out in September.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_04]: She says, OK, that's so nice.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_05]: Makes me want to vote for her, right?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_05]: In other political news, a poll by WNYT Channel 13 and Albany has of 711 likely voters in NY21.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_05]: That's the staphonic district.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_05]: There's not include the city of Watertown, but includes part of Jefferson,
- 7:15[SPEAKER_05]: So, um, that poll shows Blake Gendipine up by 4 points, 4339.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_05]: Now, there's a long time to go and all of that, but it looks like it's going to be a close race.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_05]: And, um, will this have to see what goes on, okay?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_05]: All right.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_05]: Another story I was, um,
- 7:46[SPEAKER_05]: keep track of what's going on on the street.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_05]: You know, he had all those crimes recently, the knifeings, and we also had that severe beating on Jefferson Street.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_05]: Not much being said about that.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_05]: The guy is in his 20s, the victim, and I guess he said a common Syracuse hospital, and he got beat up kind of bad.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_05]: Apparently it was a dispute that started at the 7-11.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_05]: and uh... had to do with some kind of transaction and then came out of some kind of mirror got knocked off a motorcycle or cars on any way argument he went up the street to juffers in the people followed him beat him with a pipe up on the head broken teeth broken facial bones who knows what else he's in a coma bad situation no charges yet
- 8:45[SPEAKER_05]: Now, the victim, I'm not going to put out names and things.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not a newsman or something or the suspects, but it's just a terrible thing.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_05]: Why do people do that?
- 9:06[SPEAKER_05]: Now, over a mirror on a vehicle, who knows?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_05]: So 755 that happened I think at 11 o'clock at night or something, I was late at night, late at night.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_05]: So anything else you want to talk about that's going on, anything going on in your community, your neck of the woods, we'll put you on the air.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_05]: We certainly will, let me see here.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_05]: Do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do
- 10:15[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_05]: Already.
- 10:18[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_05]: Now we've got what else going on here.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_05]: Two.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_05]: Two.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_05]: That was nice of Brian to drop by yesterday.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_05]: Wish we could have talked longer.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_05]: Yep.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_05]: Could have talked about all times.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_05]: Softball games over in Kingston.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_05]: All sorts of things.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_05]: all sorts of things.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_05]: But I appreciate its clarification on the bathroom issue.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_05]: I would be nice to see, you know, improve bathrooms in general in the park.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, I don't really, I don't know if that's going to happen or not.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I guess they're sending another carrier group over to the Persian Gulf.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_05]: All that stuff with the USS Lincoln, I don't know what's going on with that.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_05]: It's a funny story.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, a claim is not enough food, and the plumbing doesn't work, and sailers want to jump over the edge and into the water, which certainly we don't want them to do.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_05]: But that was a big deal on CNN, but not a big deal elsewhere.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't really know.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not in the Navy.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_05]: However, I would say, well, I do know the military.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_05]: Commanders are very concerned about the plight of their troops.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_05]: And, you know, you've got the ship's captain, and you've got the Suncom Commander, and then you've got the Secretary of the Navy, and then up in the Pentagon, the Secretary.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_05]: somebody should have addressed some of these concerns before this, but I don't really know entirely what was going on, but you know, it's not easy being deployed on land or on sea for extended periods, so hopefully they'll get it all settled.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_05]: But as you know, it is Trump's fault.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_17]: Yeah, that goes without say.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_05]: What was this poll that got
- 12:41[SPEAKER_05]: That's out by the old phase plans of blocking a couple of lanes at 1.30 this morning.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_05]: Anybody out there when it happened or know anything about it, give us a call.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_05]: 755, crawl 40, and we'll push on the air, talk about whatever you want.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_05]: Whatever you want.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_05]: Let's see, this was an interesting, oh, we'll get to that later.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: But after dinner on the air I'm just gonna say I know exactly what it is.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's CNN and it's fake news, okay?
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know anybody personally on that aircraft carrier But I know some other people personally that are on others And I mean, you wouldn't believe what they get for dinner I mean, stakes and everything Right So I mean, there's days that I don't know about where they're coming up with their trying to jump off the aircraft carrier
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: and it made a flight that is like 60 feet off the ocean and that's when it's calm hmm well yeah they know how they're coming up that's that's the biggest ocean and that's when it's calm hmm well yeah they know how they're coming up that's that's the biggest news I ever heard in the last days
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: it sounds like there's more to the story um... everything has a kernel of truth and so i don't really know but uh... well maybe that shipman was supposed to you know those ships don't go get stuff their other ships bring it to them and sometimes helicopters etc but i mean they couldn't have been a run out of ammo stuff i mean oh yeah then not enough to want to jump off jump ship no
- 14:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you get a mean thing, go back to hundreds of years and they'll make you walk the blank.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_05]: Exactly.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_05]: No doubt about it.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_05]: Well, thank you.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: Well, thank you.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_05]: All righty.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_05]: Bye now.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, man.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there was a story here.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_05]: Town of Watertown works on financial reforms.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_05]: What is going on out there?
- 14:54[SPEAKER_05]: No town taxes.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_05]: That's what they always said out there, so I thought everything was fine.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_05]: And I guess there's the new supervisor, Mr. Wright, says he's got all sorts of things to straight now.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, you know, it's not easy.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_05]: You got 12 different water and sewer districts, you got the town, you got payroll, you got state aid, you got all these lawyers, consultants, and all of that stuff, engineers, yeah, they're big.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_05]: And then you deal on with developers, they're kind of, you know, difficult at times.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know what's going on out there, but I'm sure Duffel haven't in order soon, you know.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_05]: Always wonder about all these political subdivisions we have and
- 15:51[SPEAKER_05]: all the billing and contracts and payroll and everything else for 15 school districts 22 towns a city 15 villages I think plus all these endless special use districts and then you wonder who's in the most cases who's running all of them so keep in track of it all well they're elected officials in many cases and you know they're
- 16:21[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, I mean most of them are all part-time people and what do you expect?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_05]: What do you expect?
- 16:31[SPEAKER_05]: So we'll see what happens to the town or water town.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure it'll survive.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_05]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, your call-up for Social Security next year is 3.4% Yeah, that's not bad.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_05]: What's that amount to for most of you?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_05]: Well, if it's, if you're getting 15, 1600 a month, that's 50 bucks, right?
- 17:05[SPEAKER_05]: We're getting 2500, that's a little more, probably 80 or so, so, a little bit of extra money, a little bit of extra money.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_05]: Hmm, no calls.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_05]: I hope we get the, uh, angry man today.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_05]: We want to get angry for the weekend.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_05]: That's what we need.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_05]: We need to be angry for the weekend.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, you know what I want.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_05]: I want some of those, uh, shock gloves.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I guess ice is going to get him.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_05]: You just grab somebody in it.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_05]: It's like I taste things or things.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_05]: They go to their knees.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_05]: They'd be handy for like a nightclub bouncer because you don't want to have to get into a tussle with people and fight with them.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_05]: Or a lot of different things.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_05]: They're just, you know, get the attention of a friend or something.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_05]: Be a good thing for like women to wear in case there's creepy guys around.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_16]: Well,
- 18:15[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know, but electric gloves, what do they think of next?
- 18:24[SPEAKER_05]: 755, 1240 is the phone number.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_05]: We'd like to be on the air today, and we'll talk about whatever you want, within the balance of good taste.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_05]: Well, let's see, why don't we do a break and we'll be right back.

- 21:47[SPEAKER_16]: This is the news in talk authority, AM-1240.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_05]: W-A-T-N. W-A-T-N just seen that story.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_05]: It was about city police arrested two men from China.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_05]: Now they're men from China, but if you call them Chinamen, they call you racist.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know what the deal is on there, but they're men from China.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_05]: And apparently, they engaged in a kind of a scam against an elderly couple, calling them up.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_05]: Identify themselves as federal agents, tell them to convert their money into gold.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_05]: And for some reason, I don't know why these people bought this story.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_05]: And then, to turn the gold over to them.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_05]: So they got had.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_05]: and then they realized they got had and however cops were able to police were able to set up a sting city police sheriff's police and so on and they got the two men from china or colloquially known as china uh... so i don't know i don't know what to say about it on that but well i do know what to say when you get a phone call
- 23:03[SPEAKER_05]: And we've told you this before, no one is calling you because they want to help you will do you good unless it's somebody you know of relative or something, but so here's the two phrases you use, thank you goodbye, practice it at home later with a receiver, say thank you goodbye, put it down, then do it again, thank you goodbye, yeah, don't talk to these people, don't answer their questions, and certainly
- 23:28[SPEAKER_05]: You know, if they say, well, we're from the National Grid, we're coming to such a power off, if you didn't pay nothing.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_05]: Or somebody claims they're an investigator for social or security, or whatever they're telling you.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_05]: They're not going to contact you in that manner.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_05]: So don't say, and certainly, if they say, convert your avail, and this is like $150,000, convert your available assets in the gold.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even know where I do that.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_05]: But don't do it.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, talk to somebody else, talk to a relative, talk to the whoever, the police, talk to whoever you want to talk to, but just don't give people your money.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know if these people will get their money back or what's going to happen, but it's unfortunate to say the least.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not sure yet, there's the fact that they're from China, does that have anything to do with the crime?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_05]: See, that would be the political correctness thing.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_05]: Is there any bearing on that, or is that racist just to identify the race?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_05]: Is that a race, or whatever, but after noon you're on the air,
- 24:54[SPEAKER_05]: I could question, oh, if it's the rate of the fate of China, why isn't it rate of the fate German or English that I don't know, I don't know somebody told me today it was a racist to say Chinaman sounds like a double standard to me well it does it does but you could say man from China if you want or Chinese national or whatever you want to say but
- 25:25[SPEAKER_05]: Now, yeah, okay, all right.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_05]: Well, thank you.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you're not supposed to say, well, you know that expression blank in the art, or you can't say that, no, but yeah, I don't think that's racist to say Chinaman.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's like it wouldn't be to say a Frenchman or an Englishman.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_05]: But there's no sense of the, the woke, these people, it's all part of woke one, I guess, but, uh, well, wow.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_05]: What else we got going on here?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_05]: Um, let's see.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_05]: Somebody texted me wants to know more about the thing on the,
- 26:17[SPEAKER_05]: Jefferson Street.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_05]: I just explained what I knew.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_05]: I do know some more details, but I'm not going to say it here because, you know, whatever.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm not an authorized news reporter.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just a nosey neighbor, bad fly.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, people do talk about those things, especially in the hood over there.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_05]: Of course, I'm a member.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_05]: But after doing your own year,
- 26:45[SPEAKER_05]: and uh... seven five five twelve forty is our phone number and uh... we glad to have you today on america's favorite new time talk show oh boy electric gloves we got to those yeah i don't know if those are good i i guess they're not if it works
- 27:14[SPEAKER_05]: over in Germany they had a swimming pool public pool it was placed up it was a pop up pool placed in front of a public building for some kind of event and anybody was welcome to go swim in it but the officials uh... her lens vote true in theater uh... well they said it was a summer meeting spot for locals however
- 27:44[SPEAKER_05]: Well, they said that there's one day they're having where it's only open to black people.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know why you would do that.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's reserved for them now.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not sure why that, why you would even do that.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_05]: But it's causing a stir over there.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I wouldn't even think that's a good idea to advertise something like that.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_05]: We don't do that at the pools here, so don't worry about it.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_11]: Not to worry.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_04]: Man, is that some bad flooding out in the Midwest, especially in Indiana?
- 28:25[UNKNOWN]: Woo.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_05]: Just horrible when that happens.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_05]: We are so fortunate here that we don't have a lot of those type of things going on, because it's just a bad deal.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_05]: And he plans for the weekend.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_05]: None for me is going to work this weekend.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_05]: Turn a few dollars, all of that stuff.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_05]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Jeff, how are you doing?
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: Good.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_04]: A couple of topic chaired.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's kind of got my interest.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: North Korea is turning up the heat in the South Korea.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's due to the handling when we have a combined U.S.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_04]: But two days ago, North Korea sent an additional $50,000 more troops to help Putin against Ukraine.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_04]: And they also sent up, and they don't know how many, but quite a lot of the so-called K.N.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_04]: Korean North 23 and 24 missiles to use against Ukraine, and they've been employed already.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_04]: because of our relationship in South Korea, I've been turning up to heat there.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_04]: But now, they've sent over 200,000 troops already in the last couple of years, including 50,000, just a week or so ago, more, to help Russia.
- 30:04[UNKNOWN]: That's pretty bad.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't hear many people talking about that, but that's a very much of an interest to me
- 30:14[SPEAKER_04]: and rushable for enters the towns and areas that I have to background in something rested in that and plus I was stationed in well that's a lot of uh... that's a lot of troops for a country the size of North Korea to run yeah it is but it's uh... if you're doing it to get the course and get paid for it so they're getting tons of money from a put into provide for fifty thousand troops just a week or so ago
- 30:42[SPEAKER_04]: On top of that, 1525, isn't it?
- 30:44[SPEAKER_04]: But they've been getting up.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_05]: They've been getting chewed up over there, haven't they?
- 30:50[SPEAKER_04]: If all day are there, they're losing casualties a lot.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_04]: But Kim Jong-un and North Korea, you probably don't get it down.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_04]: As long as you get paid for it.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_04]: But they can charge me because of their relationship to South Korea and cross the DMC and our US forces in Korea.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_04]: We have 28,000 troops in Korea.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_04]: And like I said, I was stationed in there for 15 years, myself, when I came back in 1991.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_04]: And that's a great concern to me, both these country Russia and North Korea has been partners right now.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that's concerned all of what else is on your mind?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that's what's clear.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be 3.4 a colon next year.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_04]: That's pretty good.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_04]: That's pretty good, raise.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_05]: We deserve it.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_04]: of people in this audience are all in social security, I would suspect a lot of the colors.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_05]: I would thank so, yeah.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you're also hearing not about such a aspect you do.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_04]: And I know how I do my wife do this so, yeah, I have to, but I'm going to, I'll tell you on that topic of social security, very much concerns me of the effort that got social security within the troop of the Trump administration between the Johnson and the GOP
- 32:11[SPEAKER_04]: Not at all.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_05]: Not at all.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_04]: In Social Security.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_04]: That's money is coming back to us that we paid into, so that's a bit of it from Around a year ago.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_04]: 1935 or something.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_05]: Already.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, well, really.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_05]: Good to hear from you, Dan.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_04]: I have a good weekend.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_05]: You too, by now.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_05]: Well, let's see.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_05]: Somebody texted, I did hear this on the news.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_05]: The Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_05]: as foot baths for their muslim passengers.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_05]: What's that all about?
- 32:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_05]: Never really heard that before.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_05]: Why would you need foot baths?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe it's some kind of religious thing or something.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_05]: And yes, but I don't know as I did stall them, no, well, well, let's see, we have those at the waterchown airport, no, okay, just asking, asking for a friend if you will.

- 37:10[SPEAKER_05]: We read about them.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_05]: Multiple a week, multiple a week, not sure if that was true.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_05]: I used to, you know, years ago, maybe it must have been true years ago.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_05]: But I can't remember doing the, looking through the police reports every day at City Hall when I was in the news business.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't remember those kind of crimes.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_05]: But I guess it's the thing now.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I was watching the today show today on Watertown's NBC station, and this female musical group called Kat's Eye on there, and holy cowardly dress, skimpy, and every- I'm morning television right on our local NBC station.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_05]: Man, I'm gonna have to call Mr. Gaines about that.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, sir, re-bub.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_05]: Um, other things, uh, that you might have, is it, uh, Pirates weekend this weekend.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_05]: What's going on up there?
- 38:17[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I mean, you're gonna call in, plug in a van if you want.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_05]: No.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_05]: AOC is freezing her eggs.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_05]: That's for future fertilization, I guess.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, at some point, after she's president, she can have a kid.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, that's good.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_05]: You know, a lot of people are choosing different options.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_05]: Been a lot of discussion over whether insurance covers it or doesn't, but, uh, I don't know.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_05]: Now, if I thought she was getting married, maybe she's not.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_08]: I do think she's going to run for president or at least senator though but after doing her on the air hey man Graham it's done not hey what's up what are you doing today buddy oh I don't know just people are running around having their summer they're not calling in hmm yeah it was good to hear from Danny I was surprised that he didn't want to talk about being able to kill your baby up to the moment of birth
- 39:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's really a cool new law.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_05]: Where's that?
- 39:39[SPEAKER_08]: I think you're in Massachusetts where you, you know, the, the girl with the, with the haircut, they're just, uh, a mile a day, they abortions are now.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_08]: You go up to a moment of birth and Massachusetts.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_08]: I'm surprised, Danny, didn't want to talk about that.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_05]: Well, now let's not pick on our good friend, Danny, but.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I'm not picking on.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just saying, you know, Jesus wants to talk about.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_08]: to reassend and troops they've been doing that for a long time then.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_08]: Really?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_08]: They have.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_08]: Well, what about, eh, I was see wanting to free- What about the support and thing?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_08]: What do you think about it?
- 40:16[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, you know, we used to say, you know, I was talking to a friend of mine.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_08]: She's kind of pretty liberal.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_08]: And she said, you know, that that doesn't happen.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_08]: That's what the, the health people tell you.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_08]: And all of that is those late terms.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_08]: That's all just the bad, bad term terminology, bad.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't happen.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_08]: Well now you got in Massachusetts it's fine I'm kind of thinking I'm kind of thinking maybe what they should do the Democratic Party they should make it where you could abort your baby up till like kindergarten.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_08]: There we go.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_08]: Back we wouldn't have to worry about this pre-case because we wouldn't have any pre-case we would be able to abort all of them people.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_08]: I mean we used to have limits on this kind of thing.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_08]: and now we have no limits and we call it health care what do you think about it's like that gender uh... affirming surgery they call it used to be called disfigurement and uh... now now a lot a ten year old can uh... can can get the yeah can get their their janitalia rearranged because some
- 41:31[SPEAKER_08]: But you know, there used to be some limits on it.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I'm not an anti-abortion guy.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_08]: I'm really not.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to get involved because I think that's a woman's choice.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_08]: I really do.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_08]: I don't trust the government for anything.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_08]: But to sit there for the party, and that's what this is, this is democratic crap, just saying that you're going to board up to the moment of birth.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_08]: so what else uh... but we'd rather talk about career or something i don't yes can you ask about a.o.c.s well the last thing in the world is we want a.o.c.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_08]: to be able to make do babies but you can't make do babies a.o.c.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_08]: because you're bored i don't understand why would you freeze your eggs if you're just going to murder your kids to begin with why don't think she would
- 42:30[SPEAKER_08]: Now you, I know you know, I know you know like her, but she states whether if she mates with her brother, is that gonna be like reason to afford?
- 42:40[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it gets cops.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_05]: No, that's the Congresswoman from Minnesota, the different.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, now what about, in all seriousness, I know you don't like AOC, but there's a lot of people, serious people who talk about politics, who think she's got the
- 43:00[SPEAKER_05]: And she's got a good shot at it.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_05]: Given that she's sort of the, whatever.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_08]: As our local friend illustrates every time he calls, there's a group of them that won't, it doesn't matter what these people say.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't matter what they propose, it doesn't matter anything.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_08]: Everything from defund the police, but we didn't really say that, but you know, go after this, but we didn't really say that.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_08]: And they're gonna have to,
- 43:31[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what they're going to do, I don't know, but I mean, our previous scholar that I'm not going to mention anymore, what is that one that I can't think of the guy's name, what's his butt with the US Constitution?
- 43:52[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, that's a little bit much.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_08]: But that won't stop our previous scholar from voting party.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_08]: You're going to have 30, 35% that it doesn't matter what they propose.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_08]: There's just going to lock stuff to what they do.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_08]: And then, you know, this is a good example.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_08]: This kid will maybe up to the top home in the first.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_05]: Now did you see down on a positive note in front of Keybank?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_05]: There was big concrete planters that were somewhat controversial.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_05]: And there was nothing yet in the scrub all summer and some private businesses,
- 44:30[SPEAKER_08]: landscape them nicely and they look great now yeah well that's the private sector does the job of this i don't know why they the city did that without any kind of long-term plan on how to be seen up and how to plan them i don't understand that but i'm not a city planner
- 44:52[SPEAKER_08]: I don't, I don't know where it's going to go with that, this city, they, they, they got so much, they have so much problem with the fire department, who's, which is, nothing but a money sponge, take a look at news junkie, and look at the contacts that the police do, and look at the contacts that the fire department does, and divide it by the 10 million
- 45:20[SPEAKER_08]: you know, divide it with it with the amount of money that's spent.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_08]: If foolishness, but they've got themselves locked into a thing where, you know, the last three people in one or two are going to be from, they're going to be firemen from Clayton, you know, I mean, I don't know.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_08]: People seem to like it because they floated that, you know, public safety thing, even
- 45:48[SPEAKER_08]: You know, there was no back bone when it comes to making any kind of cut.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, you guys, I mean, I hate to see that because, you know, I spent 58 years in water count.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, I've always, I grew up there, I love water count.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_08]: I think water count has got an awful lot of good things, but you cannot keep spending money.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_08]: You don't have them, but, you know,
- 46:15[SPEAKER_08]: That doesn't ring with people.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_08]: They just, they just, the emotion is there, you know.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want the, I don't want the little lady to drive a fire in the middle of the street or something.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, I don't get it.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_08]: Don't get anything.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_08]: But, you know, to allow a union to decide staffing levels, it's pretty sick.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_25]: Yeah.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_08]: Right up there with killing your babies for a long distance.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_08]: And like I say, I'm not anti-abursed.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_08]: I'm really not.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_08]: I don't like it.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_07]: I wish it wasn't necessary.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_08]: And I hope that we can keep working so it's not necessary.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_08]: But when you start opening up the laws, we're up into the moment of birth.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_08]: And then you have all these lesbians standing around the governor getting giddy and, you know, gushing over themselves about how wonderful it is.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_08]: That's not wonderful.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_08]: that's not reasonable.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_08]: I don't.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_05]: You don't think so.
- 47:16[UNKNOWN]: A someday is going to come back and they're going to look back at us.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see what these people doing.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_08]: It's going to be just like Germany.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_08]: And what were you people doing?
- 47:25[SPEAKER_08]: Cram and people in the ovens?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: Now, is it wrong?
- 47:30[SPEAKER_05]: Those two Chinese nationals who were arrested on it?
- 47:34[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_05]: Now, is it wrong to call them Chinamen?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_05]: Somebody said it was.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think it's wrong, I mean, we've kind of gotten away from that kind of thing, but you know, I don't.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, if they were from France, you could call them Frenchmen.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, I don't, I think it's what do they say much to do about nothing, I don't really care.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_08]: But people are so hyper sensitive.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_08]: They don't worry about going for Oak.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_08]: They don't worry about killing babies.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_08]: They don't worry about anything like that.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_08]: They worry about whether we call them China.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_08]: You know, you find something important to talk about.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_08]: It's like this, this North Korea said the truth.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_08]: It's been going out a long time.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_08]: Find something important to talk about.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_08]: That's not important.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_08]: That's been going out a long time.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_08]: And you were right.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_08]: The Ukrainians have been killing them last and right.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_08]: Which doesn't really matter, because those people are basically enslaved.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_08]: North Korea is not, but, you know, I don't know what we're supposed to do about it, you know.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_08]: If we did anything, I didn't like to look at the Middle East, you know, the same caller that was worried about Korea.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_08]: What are we supposed to do, allow Iran to get a new, or do you just think that Trump's making all that up?
- 49:04[SPEAKER_08]: I don't see how they could sit any longer.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_08]: They sat for 50 years.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_08]: They ignore the problem for 50 years, they allow the Iranians to ship all their hoodies and beauties and whatever they are.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_08]: If they're either in the desert over here, or over here, or over your brother's office, the Democratic Party.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_08]: One of the other.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think it's that big of a deal.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_08]: But I think something had to be done.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_08]: It's messy.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_08]: It's messy.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_08]: OK. And you got five in as far as the people of jumping off the aircraft here.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_08]: You got five thousand people on that aircraft here.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_08]: As the reports I've read are that one person jumped over the side.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_08]: I'm surprised that it was a more people jumping over the side with 240 days of deployment.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's not the problem that media
- 50:02[SPEAKER_08]: It's just trying to make it and like you said, it was seeing an atmosphere.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I think that's part of it.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_05]: And I think, you know, then you get Congress involved and all of that.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's a statistic.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_08]: It's a statistic.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_08]: It's a Trump case.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_08]: The Trump case.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's going here.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_05]: Parts, you know, it doesn't make it.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_08]: It's a previous caller when we when we bomb the new facilities, your previous caller went in there and said, oh, we missed them all.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_08]: These people are rooting against the country.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_08]: I won't use the word it out.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_08]: The key word comes to mind.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_08]: It's, you know, you rude against anything if it goes against your party.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_08]: You know, your party owns you, owns every opinion you have.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_08]: And that's going to be troublesome.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_08]: Young people don't have any ideas.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_08]: You know, they, they won't.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_05]: Well, anyway, if you want to see those platters, if you look on news junkie's Facebook page,
- 50:59[SPEAKER_05]: There's some nice photos.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if the mainstream media is going to report on it, but like Jake said, he didn't want them there originally, but they're there, so he decided to do something.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_05]: So good for him.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I got a real problem with planners.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_08]: I just wish that the city had some kind of a long-term plan to maintain them and find it.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it might not be a whole lot of money, but just money that you
- 51:28[SPEAKER_08]: right to put them in there and say hope they grow on the road and that's pretty stupid yeah I still like to know that the changes we decided to put those bumps up in the little speed bumps oh yeah I'd like to know that but I guess you'll never know that that's a secret yeah hey listen Gary I got a run I got a call so but you have a great day and don't see the pirates I will thank you by now good afternoon around the air
- 51:58[SPEAKER_07]: How you doing?
- 51:58[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, what's up?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just listening to the show.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_05]: Really?
- 52:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_07]: It's good to hear the topic, the topic speed, the headlines we talked about, you know?
- 52:17[SPEAKER_07]: But as far as all the stuff goes with China and stuff like that, I'm just glad
- 52:27[SPEAKER_05]: So if you have found any more homeless and campments lately?
- 52:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I was going to say we went down over the Holley Street as well.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_07]: And all the way up to like, I don't know why.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_07]: I think the parks and recreation are responsible for clearing up some of those areas, aren't they?
- 52:49[SPEAKER_05]: No Holley Street, that's what I mean, isn't it?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_07]: Right, the one down, yeah, the one the last one you guys were talking about, yeah, well, I don't know who's responsible.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, obviously, uh, depends on who's property it is, but I guess if they're off in the woods, not bothering anybody.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_05]: What's it matter?
- 53:17[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_07]: I just don't think they should be able to, you know, uh,
- 53:24[SPEAKER_07]: do that, you know, litter.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_07]: I hate littering so much.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_07]: I can't stand people who litter.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_05]: No, I know.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_05]: I got you on that.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_07]: I really, I really don't like that at all.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_07]: I, I just can't stand it.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_07]: As far as, yeah, there's one thing that I, like I said, I'm glad that people are open in their eyes to China, you know, more, you know, one of the bigger stories that nobody's
- 53:54[SPEAKER_07]: for trapped in over 400,000 individuals during the Biden administration.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_07]: They found 155,000 of them under the Trump administration when he calls the borders.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_07]: So when he calls the borders, that's basically what they were doing.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_07]: They were down missing children.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_05]: I know.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_07]: And it's just, it just bothers me, you know, like you don't talk about that.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_05]: Well, listen, I've got to rub into that.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_05]: I got to be running here, so I got to run.
