- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome back to the Business round Table podcast
- 0:04Speaker 1: where I'm your host, David Cars to your business with
- 0:08Speaker 1: another returning guest, and I will say tonight co host
- 0:10Speaker 1: with me, Bill Hatch, Welcome back, Bill.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Thank you, David.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Glad to be back, Glad to have you here. So
- 0:18Speaker 1: we're going to pick up a conversation. If you missed
- 0:20Speaker 1: our last episode, you want to go back to our
- 0:22Speaker 1: last episode. We're talking about work life balance and challenges there.
- 0:26Speaker 1: And one of the tools that came up in that
- 0:28Speaker 1: conversation is one that Bill's worked with. I actually hadn't
- 0:32Speaker 1: heard it before, but the concept I understood, not this
- 0:35Speaker 1: specific tool, and so I'm excited for Bill to share
- 0:38Speaker 1: a little bit of a different tool, different understanding perspective
- 0:42Speaker 1: to understand balance in life. And yeah, we're just going
- 0:46Speaker 1: to get into it today on the podcast. So Bill,
- 0:50Speaker 1: talk a little bit about this tool and kind of
- 0:52Speaker 1: where you came with it, and we'll pull up here
- 0:54Speaker 1: in a minute for everyone to see watching on YouTube or
- 0:57Speaker 1: LinkedIn with us. Sure.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Well, the Wheel of Life is a tool I've used
- 1:03Speaker 2: both in my own life in as a as a
- 1:07Speaker 2: participant in groups and also as the leader of groups.
- 1:13Speaker 2: You know helping other people achieve balance. What it is
- 1:18Speaker 2: is it's based on the idea of a flat tire.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You know, if if you're driving down the road and
- 1:24Speaker 2: your tire's flat, you're gonna notice the difference in the
- 1:29Speaker 2: in the ride quality, and you know you're gonna go
- 1:31Speaker 2: thumpety thumpety thumpany thump. Well if you're when those all
- 1:36Speaker 2: four tires or two, I guess if you're if you're
- 1:39Speaker 2: on a motorcycle.
- 1:40Speaker 1: But.
- 1:42Speaker 2: If all your tires are are properly inflated, then you
- 1:46Speaker 2: get a nice smooth ride and you know, so you know,
- 1:51Speaker 2: things go well or better anyway. And and the idea
- 1:55Speaker 2: of the wheel of life is is the same is
- 1:59Speaker 2: that if you're not working on all the parts of
- 2:02Speaker 2: your life, whatever portion of your life you want to
- 2:06Speaker 2: you want to deal with, then you're going to notice
- 2:10Speaker 2: the difference in your in how smooth your right is.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You know, if if you're not developing your recreational habits
- 2:21Speaker 2: habits well, then you know, then that part of the
- 2:24Speaker 2: tire will be flat. If you're not, if you're not
- 2:27Speaker 2: balancing your finances properly, then that'll be flat, you know.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And and you can have several most people don't have
- 2:33Speaker 2: a perfectly round wheel of life, at least not at
- 2:37Speaker 2: all times. And but but by having the wheel, you
- 2:43Speaker 2: can look and see what parts of your life are
- 2:45Speaker 2: flatter and work on them. You know, know, oh, you
- 2:49Speaker 2: know what I need to work on my relationships. I
- 2:53Speaker 2: need to work on my personal relationships or business relationships,
- 2:57Speaker 2: or if you're doing this in solely a business and
- 2:59Speaker 2: vince air, you know, my my recovery time from from
- 3:05Speaker 2: work I need to work on. Or maybe that's perfect,
- 3:09Speaker 2: And and you have other things to work on. You know,
- 3:13Speaker 2: everybody's got something they need to to work on with it,
- 3:17Speaker 2: and this is just a great tool for helping you
- 3:20Speaker 2: see what parts need to be worked on, and you
- 3:24Speaker 2: can do it in many ways. You can adapt it
- 3:27Speaker 2: to many different you know, people's lives or or areas
- 3:31Speaker 2: of their lives. You know, you can have a different
- 3:34Speaker 2: one for work than you do at home. You know,
- 3:38Speaker 2: maybe maybe you don't want to talk about romance at work,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you know that might not be appropriate, but certainly the
- 3:45Speaker 2: one you do for yourself at home, well, of course
- 3:48Speaker 2: you want to talk about your romantic relationships because that's
- 3:51Speaker 2: important and important part of a human life. You know,
- 3:56Speaker 2: and you know you could you could work it out
- 4:00Speaker 2: in church or in a church group, or or really
- 4:04Speaker 2: whatever group you may be you may be working with.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I know, I know you have any I know you
- 4:09Speaker 1: brought along an image here that we wanted to show.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Maybe we could throw that up there for folks to see. Here, Bill,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so there we go, so here hereeah, go ahead, Bill.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I like I like this one as I was searching
- 4:25Speaker 2: for a for a graphic to share, mostly because it
- 4:29Speaker 2: has the drawing of the flat spots on the tire.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But you can see, you know, you've got your you've
- 4:37Speaker 2: got your wheel, your circle right there, and you've got
- 4:41Speaker 2: each section has a different title on it, and you
- 4:44Speaker 2: can see their dots going up at each level of
- 4:47Speaker 2: the of the tire to show how well inflated you are.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And you just go through and decide where you are
- 4:57Speaker 2: in each group in each category. He and uh and decide,
- 5:04Speaker 2: you know, it's like where am I at in in
- 5:06Speaker 2: the development of this Am I at a six in
- 5:09Speaker 2: business and career? Or is it a nine? You know,
- 5:13Speaker 2: you'll you'll have to be honest and decide that you
- 5:17Speaker 2: know the same thing with the other categories. You know,
- 5:20Speaker 2: other other categories. Uh could be uh, you know, you
- 5:24Speaker 2: could have one for family, you could have one for friends.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You know, I really like contribution to society. I hadn't
- 5:36Speaker 2: seen that one on a on another graphic that I
- 5:40Speaker 2: was looking at. Yeah, but that's a that's a good one.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I mean, how do you how do you contribute to
- 5:47Speaker 2: to the rest of society and uh and make you
- 5:50Speaker 2: a well rounded person. It can be you can be
- 5:53Speaker 2: fewer numbers of categories. It can be more numbers of categories.
- 5:57Speaker 2: It's all depends on how complicated you want to get.
- 6:00Speaker 2: If you want to have fewer levels in it, if
- 6:03Speaker 2: you want to do four six levels instead of ten,
- 6:05Speaker 2: you can do that too, you know, and grow it.
- 6:10Speaker 1: But you Yeah, we just might be a good place.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So you know, we were talking about this last week. Bill.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So I use a couple of different frameworks. One of
- 6:17Speaker 1: them is the is the wake up way, which I'm
- 6:19Speaker 1: trained on. And we have simply four four domains. Four
- 6:23Speaker 1: main domains. We talk about our body. That could be
- 6:26Speaker 1: health in this case, right, Uh, we talk about business,
- 6:31Speaker 1: so you have business and career. Business could also you
- 6:33Speaker 1: could lump in finances possibly in that. Yeah, that's true. Right,
- 6:38Speaker 1: you talk about So I'm just gonna, uh as people
- 6:43Speaker 1: are listening how they can figure out for them what's
- 6:46Speaker 1: what are the domains, how they want to break them down.
- 6:47Speaker 1: But uh so it's a body business. We call it balance.
- 6:53Speaker 1: But balance is basically what you said, family and friends,
- 6:55Speaker 1: that's relate or relationships just in general. And we talk
- 7:01Speaker 1: about being, which is spiritual. On this particular one you have,
- 7:04Speaker 1: we don't see anything about spirituality, although you see something
- 7:08Speaker 1: maybe contributions is charity, which could be you know, how
- 7:12Speaker 1: you're how you're giving giving back, contributions to society, contributions
- 7:18Speaker 1: to society in my So that's an example of a four.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And then I also use the full Focused Planner, which
- 7:28Speaker 1: we also talked about last week. And in that one
- 7:31Speaker 1: there's like gold details I have right here, so you
- 7:33Speaker 1: guys can kind of see you all along. But in
- 7:35Speaker 1: that one, for comparison, the domains they have are spiritual, parental, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational, physical,
- 7:52Speaker 1: a vocational, marital, and financial. So I see overlaps in
- 7:57Speaker 1: some of these where we talk about, yeah, hobbies, there's
- 8:02Speaker 1: like hobbies or fun and recreation in there right, vocational
- 8:06Speaker 1: or career social could be fun recreation too.
- 8:12Speaker 2: You know, although social social environment can be a separate
- 8:17Speaker 2: one as well. You know, how how do you involve
- 8:21Speaker 2: because fun and recreation can be playing video games by
- 8:24Speaker 2: yourself at home too. But but you know, having community
- 8:29Speaker 2: community and social environment would include you know, going out
- 8:34Speaker 2: to go do things out in out in public, you know,
- 8:38Speaker 2: with other people, uh, in the courts, community sports.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I like that perspective, Bill. What about I think we've
- 8:46Speaker 1: talked about on this podcast. You know the five years
- 8:49Speaker 1: or is a way of being So like when you
- 8:51Speaker 1: say playing a video game that's kind of you know,
- 8:53Speaker 1: it could be that could be rejuvenating to you or
- 8:56Speaker 1: just hiking by yourself. Right, So thinking about like I
- 9:00Speaker 1: call what gear of life I'm man? If you will
- 9:02Speaker 1: I am I rejuvenating? Am I in a social mode
- 9:05Speaker 1: of just talking to a lot of people? Or maybe
- 9:07Speaker 1: it's like you said, romance is like more of that
- 9:09Speaker 1: deeper one on one connection. Or am I just working
- 9:11Speaker 1: and having lots of tasks that might be more under
- 9:15Speaker 1: business possibly? So thinking about your mode of operation? Does
- 9:19Speaker 1: that make sense? Yeah?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it absolutely does. Yeah, And like I said, you
- 9:25Speaker 2: can you can use a wheel of life for for
- 9:28Speaker 2: each of those uh stages you know, you know, when
- 9:34Speaker 2: you when you get to community uh and UH and
- 9:37Speaker 2: social environment, you know, you could be talking about how
- 9:42Speaker 2: often you go out and interact with other people, how
- 9:45Speaker 2: well you interact with other people if you if you
- 9:48Speaker 2: get involved in community sports, what's your uh, what's your sportsmanship?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like?
- 9:55Speaker 2: You know, you know your sportsmanship in general, you know,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and uh and other things having to do with the
- 10:03Speaker 2: with that your effort, your your intent as as it were,
- 10:10Speaker 2: to contribute to to the groups you're involved with.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Mm hmm. When you when you when you look at
- 10:17Speaker 1: this bill on this zero to to you know, one
- 10:22Speaker 1: to ten scale, I would imagine to be this be
- 10:27Speaker 1: more effective? Is there's some kind of indicator? I think
- 10:31Speaker 1: this where a good coach or where this was probably
- 10:33Speaker 1: where you can do it on your own. But I think,
- 10:35Speaker 1: and I love you your experience in this where you're
- 10:37Speaker 1: working with groups or helping folks, But I would imagine,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you know, what does what does what does a ten
- 10:44Speaker 1: look like? For you? In business or career? You know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: what's a way of looking at it like right or
- 10:50Speaker 1: what is that? You know? So at those different levels,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you know what is that for you? And I think,
- 11:00Speaker 1: wo a good coach you would you say, help you
- 11:01Speaker 1: kind of unpack that and help you visualize what that
- 11:04Speaker 1: could be.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that would very much be part of
- 11:08Speaker 2: the coach's job. Of course, if you're doing this on
- 11:12Speaker 2: your own, then you'd need to figure it out.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But you know.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Something, you know, some of the guidelines could be how
- 11:20Speaker 2: satisfied or happy you are with your with your career
- 11:24Speaker 2: right now, you know where you're at. I mean I
- 11:30Speaker 2: wouldn't say where you plan to be because then you
- 11:35Speaker 2: could always be at a five instead of you know,
- 11:38Speaker 2: I never reach a ten because I'm never never going
- 11:40Speaker 2: to get to where i want to be. You know,
- 11:42Speaker 2: I want to be in the C suite. I want
- 11:44Speaker 2: to be CEO, you know what what have you? You know?
- 11:50Speaker 2: But but you know, I think I think general job
- 11:54Speaker 2: satisfaction career satisfaction would be a big part of figuring
- 11:59Speaker 2: out where you're at in that are you actually progressing
- 12:05Speaker 2: to where you eventually want to be? That could that
- 12:09Speaker 2: could come into play. But but yeah, I mean there's
- 12:14Speaker 2: so many different things that you could add into it.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think really being doing doing it as as with
- 12:23Speaker 2: a coach of some kind would would be very beneficial,
- 12:26Speaker 2: especially for a for an area like that.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Well, yeah, especially I think the timing of a year. Right,
- 12:32Speaker 1: we're recording this year at the end of November twenty four,
- 12:35Speaker 1: We're going into twenty twenty five, and I really think,
- 12:38Speaker 1: you know, people I start, you know, start thinking about
- 12:40Speaker 1: what does next year look like. We'll start envisioning that. Now.
- 12:45Speaker 1: A framework I use with the Warrior coaching I do,
- 12:49Speaker 1: Bill is we have kind of an assessments. I haven't
- 12:52Speaker 1: used this before, but I want to ask your thoughts
- 12:54Speaker 1: on it, because you know, we kind of give a
- 12:55Speaker 1: range of am I from A one to one ten?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Let's just say so, like, let's just say between one
- 13:02Speaker 1: and you know, one and two or two and a
- 13:05Speaker 1: half or so, let's just say, am I like completely
- 13:07Speaker 1: asleep at the wheel? Is this completely because right you
- 13:11Speaker 1: go that red line is like completely like you're on
- 13:13Speaker 1: empty pretty much. I mean that's pretty pretty pointed. Am
- 13:18Speaker 1: I just completely asleep? Or am I getting into maybe
- 13:22Speaker 1: the range of A four or a five. I'm starting
- 13:25Speaker 1: to wake up to these things, like, Hey, this is important.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'm starting to pay attention, right, And then what you
- 13:32Speaker 1: said is like, do just using the numbers and I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: trying to kind of run a parallel. I'm getting your
- 13:37Speaker 1: feedback here. But as I look at that and say, okay,
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'm going from a sleep where I'm like completely completely
- 13:42Speaker 1: flat tired and maybe I've got a little bit of
- 13:43Speaker 1: air on the tire, so to speak, awake or active
- 13:46Speaker 1: where it's you know, pretty it's it's actually it's actually
- 13:52Speaker 1: pretty full. It's getting there, it's active or like getting
- 13:54Speaker 1: in there or like or is this a high performance tire?
- 13:59Speaker 1: You know? Are we actually able to accelerate it because
- 14:01Speaker 1: we've got into such a position right where it's not
- 14:04Speaker 1: just a seven or seven or an eight let's just say,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but we're starting to get into the nine to the
- 14:09Speaker 1: ten where this is like high performance. Like you know,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm I know for sure, I'm pretty close to the
- 14:16Speaker 1: top of my game. Always there's room for improvement because
- 14:18Speaker 1: you see it even goes past ten in this particular way.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It goes actually past ten whatever that might be. You know.
- 14:26Speaker 1: But when when I when I share that with you, Bill,
- 14:28Speaker 1: does that does that work? Does that resonate with you?
- 14:30Speaker 1: Because I'm trying to apply this.
- 14:32Speaker 2: No, absolutely, yeah, going with the I mean, and it
- 14:36Speaker 2: goes below one too, so so the scale can you know, uh,
- 14:42Speaker 2: you know, zero, one, two, maybe one two three. You know,
- 14:45Speaker 2: I'm in real trouble here, you know, especially you know,
- 14:49Speaker 2: something like financeers or health, you know, which are which
- 14:54Speaker 2: are the things that that that power the rest of
- 14:57Speaker 2: the rest of this, you know, and how can I
- 15:01Speaker 2: improve those things?
- 15:04Speaker 1: You know?
- 15:05Speaker 2: Those lower numbers are where you seriously need to consider
- 15:09Speaker 2: getting help, not just consider you need to get help
- 15:12Speaker 2: because because yeah, you're you're in big trouble there, you know.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Getting up into the middle numbers, the three, four, five, six,
- 15:20Speaker 2: somewhere around and there it's like, this is the consideration
- 15:25Speaker 2: phase where it's like I need to seriously consider what
- 15:29Speaker 2: I'm doing in this area. Do I need help or
- 15:33Speaker 2: or can I still or can I still do it? Especially,
- 15:37Speaker 2: you know, especially in the in the higher portion of
- 15:39Speaker 2: that of that phase that you know, it's like you
- 15:43Speaker 2: get down to six and it's like, how do I
- 15:45Speaker 2: need help or can I still do this myself? And
- 15:49Speaker 2: you know, get a maybe get some kind of self
- 15:52Speaker 2: help book or or get somebody in my who is
- 15:55Speaker 2: already in my life to help me see how I
- 15:58Speaker 2: can change and do this. And then of course the
- 16:00Speaker 2: higher numbers, the seven or ten, you know, it's the
- 16:05Speaker 2: is that things are nearly there. You know, you know,
- 16:11Speaker 2: the the tire it's the tires not low enough to
- 16:15Speaker 2: trigger the tire pressure monitor. Yeah, you know, and uh
- 16:20Speaker 2: and set off the little alarm in the car.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Would you say, I mean because you broughte that a question.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I mean, I think some people say, well, if you're
- 16:28Speaker 1: A one or two, you're definitely in trouble. But the
- 16:32Speaker 1: way I look at this, these this this scale, uh,
- 16:34Speaker 1: as you're as you're explaining into it, Bill, it seems exponential,
- 16:38Speaker 1: meaning I mean a little bit of move as you
- 16:40Speaker 1: move out can have a great, great, great impact. Right, Oh, yeah, absolutely,
- 16:47Speaker 1: And so would you say, as whatever you're doing at
- 16:50Speaker 1: level one or two, or three or four, even whatever
- 16:53Speaker 1: the level below you, you have to start doing things
- 16:55Speaker 1: differently or thinking differently because you can't keep doing that
- 16:58Speaker 1: and expecting to just jump up a level, right right.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Well, I mean that's you know true, you know, all
- 17:06Speaker 2: the old saying has always been true that you can't
- 17:09Speaker 2: use the same techniques that got you into trouble to
- 17:12Speaker 2: get you out. So, yeah, you're you're down to a
- 17:15Speaker 2: one or two, then you need to change your habits
- 17:20Speaker 2: severely if you want to get up to a tent.
- 17:24Speaker 2: And because because it does get it does get a
- 17:27Speaker 2: little more difficult to improve as you get higher up
- 17:31Speaker 2: in there, you know, in the in the scale. You know, like, well,
- 17:38Speaker 2: we talked about about the perfection paradox last week and
- 17:43Speaker 2: talking about how as you approach perfection it gets more
- 17:47Speaker 2: exponentially more difficult. The line goes from being fairly flat
- 17:52Speaker 2: to being you know, at a forty five almost to
- 17:56Speaker 2: a ninety degree angle as you're trying to climb that
- 17:59Speaker 2: mountain and U and so yeah, to get and this
- 18:04Speaker 2: is one of those things where you should continue to
- 18:07Speaker 2: strive for for improvement.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 18:11Speaker 2: This isn't like like Benjamin Franklin's personal improvement uh chart,
- 18:17Speaker 2: where he stopped because he realized that the better he
- 18:21Speaker 2: got at all the other parts of his life, the
- 18:23Speaker 2: worse he'd be in humility. So uh yeah, it's like,
- 18:28Speaker 2: so I can't be if I'm perfect to every other area,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'll never be perfectly humble.
- 18:33Speaker 1: So boy, I won't be perfect in every area. So
- 18:37Speaker 1: that's not a problem.
- 18:38Speaker 2: No, no, but no, neither neither shall I. But but
- 18:43Speaker 2: it's something to continue to strive for, you know, But
- 18:48Speaker 2: but not so much that it takes away from the
- 18:51Speaker 2: time for the other areas. You know, you can strive
- 18:54Speaker 2: for great health, for incredible health, but the question is says,
- 19:00Speaker 2: what will you have? There comes a point which you know, Okay,
- 19:03Speaker 2: I look like the rock, you know, and and uh,
- 19:09Speaker 2: and I don't need to see the doctor anymore for anything.
- 19:14Speaker 2: But now I don't have the time to contribute to
- 19:17Speaker 2: society because you're spending I'm spending twelve hours a day
- 19:21Speaker 2: at the.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Gym, right, you know, Yeah, you're you're and essentially you're
- 19:26Speaker 1: you're trying to do this holistically, right, so you want
- 19:29Speaker 1: all of them rise, Yeah, which is it's very difficult.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It's a very difficult. We call it. We call it
- 19:36Speaker 1: the impossible game and warrior trying to do all even
- 19:39Speaker 1: just the four domains, because like you said, and we
- 19:44Speaker 1: also naturally gravitate to some areas we're better at than
- 19:46Speaker 1: others too, So those are naturally better at finances, were
- 19:50Speaker 1: naturally better at health, and it's easy to stay in
- 19:52Speaker 1: those domains in which we're quote unquote winning and not
- 19:55Speaker 1: actually kind of dismissed the other domains. Have you ever
- 19:59Speaker 1: seen that, I mean, I've seen it. I did it myself. Yeah,
- 20:02Speaker 1: in my health, it could be better, but I'm doing
- 20:06Speaker 1: pretty good in my spiritual walk or some area. But
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm making it kind of an excuse, like, well,
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm doing okay in this area, but I really need
- 20:15Speaker 1: to be you know, pay attention to all of them, right, Yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 1: yeah you do.
- 20:21Speaker 2: And one thing to bear in mind is is you
- 20:26Speaker 2: can put different importance on the different on the different areas.
- 20:32Speaker 2: As far as you know, it's like how much fun
- 20:35Speaker 2: do I want to have? You know, when you're looking
- 20:38Speaker 2: at fun and recreation or recovery if you want to
- 20:41Speaker 2: use a more business friendly term. You know, fun doesn't
- 20:45Speaker 2: exactly scream you know, hey, I'm serious about my business.
- 20:49Speaker 2: But recovery time certainly could you know, maybe you don't
- 20:57Speaker 2: need to be an all all out, you know, get
- 21:01Speaker 2: all out recovery. Remember that, you know, you don't want
- 21:04Speaker 2: to spend twenty four to seven doing one thing. And
- 21:08Speaker 2: that's true, whether it's something like health or finances or
- 21:13Speaker 2: something like like fun and recovery, you know. And yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 2: the piece in dex I remember bring that.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I was going to bring that up. Yeah, I was gonna, well,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I think because as you're talking, Bill, because I wanted
- 21:27Speaker 1: to pull this one up. This is one I use.
- 21:30Speaker 1: We've talked about this in the podcast before, but you know,
- 21:33Speaker 1: the same idea here of looking at this. This uses
- 21:39Speaker 1: the five domains if you will, your wedding, your purpose
- 21:43Speaker 1: and we talked about career earlier, or what are you're
- 21:46Speaker 1: living for or even community. You know. I like the
- 21:48Speaker 1: I really thought that was an interesting one. The community
- 21:51Speaker 1: involvement giving back that could be part of your purpose.
- 21:53Speaker 1: But the people or the relationships right the place that
- 21:58Speaker 1: I live, actually is it because that could contribute like
- 22:01Speaker 1: your how's your home life, work life? You know, what
- 22:05Speaker 1: does that look? What does that look like? The provision
- 22:08Speaker 1: talked about financial and then of course personal help. I
- 22:10Speaker 1: wanted to offer this up for those that are that
- 22:12Speaker 1: are listening in. You can simply go to suit your business,
- 22:16Speaker 1: dot com, slash p stash index uh and take a
- 22:20Speaker 1: free assessment. This is a free one. It does it
- 22:23Speaker 1: just it does focuses on just these five domains, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: it gives you kind of an assessment as to you
- 22:27Speaker 1: know what what these numbers are. So there's one that
- 22:30Speaker 1: you can do to you know. I like the statement.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Here is a simple but powerful way to conquer chaos
- 22:37Speaker 1: and find fulfillment because we have these chaotic life right,
- 22:41Speaker 1: and it's like, okay, here's a way of assessing and
- 22:45Speaker 1: this one is absolutely free. So if anybody wants to
- 22:47Speaker 1: check that out, it's free, you know, or just message me.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And again you can also message Bill here as you're listening,
- 22:54Speaker 1: and we're all about bringing value to you here, helping you,
- 22:57Speaker 1: you know, helping you you know, get information and apply it. Right,
- 23:04Speaker 1: we're trying to give you take what you're watching and
- 23:07Speaker 1: listening here on the podcast today, this wheel of Life tool.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I never heard of it, but when I when Bill explained,
- 23:13Speaker 1: has explained to thank you Bill for sharing it here today.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Is that it starts to bring awareness of like how
- 23:19Speaker 1: how do I look at my life? Right? And I
- 23:22Speaker 1: just even the different words that you shared, Bill, like
- 23:27Speaker 1: I think a marital but you're just throwing in the
- 23:29Speaker 1: word romance in there causes me to think, oh, well,
- 23:32Speaker 1: maybe I'm not thinking that way and I need to
- 23:35Speaker 1: be thinking about that way differently, you know.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Well that's why that's why getting help from someone can
- 23:41Speaker 2: be so valuable, because you get someone to give a
- 23:45Speaker 2: different perspective. I mean, one person's going to come up
- 23:48Speaker 2: with the word romance to add into the the the
- 23:51Speaker 2: evaluation somebody else is going to add in spirituality you know,
- 23:58Speaker 2: you know, and you know you're relationship with God can
- 24:02Speaker 2: certainly be should certainly be an important and important aspect
- 24:06Speaker 2: of one's life. There there really should be a spiritual
- 24:08Speaker 2: aspect of everyone's life, whatever your belief happens to be,
- 24:14Speaker 2: because it can be important, you know, instead of just
- 24:17Speaker 2: putting it into recovery time or recreation. Although I don't
- 24:23Speaker 2: think most people would would think that worship is a
- 24:26Speaker 2: recreational activity. It's something that it could be lumped into.
- 24:32Speaker 2: And you know, you have to figure out what are
- 24:35Speaker 2: the parts of your life that are important to you
- 24:38Speaker 2: and how do you go about evaluating them? Yes, and uh,
- 24:43Speaker 2: and being able to see it as a as a wheel.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I think is is very helpful for someone, especially doing
- 24:49Speaker 2: it on.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Their own, you know.
- 24:52Speaker 2: And yeah, just just figuring it out.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Well. I think this has been a great introduction. Bill.
- 25:00Speaker 1: We're gonna we're going to apply this back because we're
- 25:02Speaker 1: gonna having some of our returning guests come back here.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Bill and I were talking about that because we want
- 25:07Speaker 1: to be able to go through and be transparent with
- 25:08Speaker 1: you guys. In our life. Share those things, Uh, go
- 25:11Speaker 1: back if you miss the piece index. That was a great,
- 25:14Speaker 1: great conversation we had. We'd out dove into that, that assessment,
- 25:18Speaker 1: and you know, I would encourage you to start looking
- 25:22Speaker 1: at these There's many and many of these will of
- 25:24Speaker 1: life out there. You can look at check out the
- 25:27Speaker 1: full Focus, but there's lots of different resources like this.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I take you through the Warrior tools and Bill will
- 25:32Speaker 1: help you too and guide you and I think ask
- 25:35Speaker 1: you some reflective questions to help you really take account
- 25:40Speaker 1: of where your life is because I think what Bill,
- 25:42Speaker 1: we talked about this a little bit last week too.
- 25:44Speaker 1: If we don't have a strong baseline understanding of where
- 25:47Speaker 1: we're at, you know, it's like if you're building a
- 25:51Speaker 1: house on shifting sand, it's not you're not going to
- 25:54Speaker 1: really be able to have a beautiful home and a place.
- 25:58Speaker 1: It's going to fall down on you. And so we're trying.
- 26:00Speaker 1: What we're trying to do here is help you get
- 26:02Speaker 1: a good, strong baseline. And I appreciate you bringing this tool, Bill,
- 26:05Speaker 1: because it's bringing awareness, hopefully awakening you to this way
- 26:10Speaker 1: that you can be and then you can actually start
- 26:13Speaker 1: building on a firm foundation of reality of where I'm
- 26:17Speaker 1: really at and then decide, Okay, now I can figure
- 26:19Speaker 1: out where I want to go.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Right Yeah, And this can be a great tool, especially
- 26:25Speaker 2: this time of year when people are trying to, you know,
- 26:27Speaker 2: figure out, Okay, what am I going to do in
- 26:29Speaker 2: the next year, because you really need to know where
- 26:31Speaker 2: you've been in order to in order to know where
- 26:35Speaker 2: you're going. You know, history, history is important. You know,
- 26:40Speaker 2: if if your if your health is great, then you
- 26:45Speaker 2: know that's not something you're going to need to work
- 26:47Speaker 2: on this next year. You're going to need to maintain that,
- 26:50Speaker 2: but you're not going to need to work on it.
- 26:52Speaker 2: You know, you may need to work on your your
- 26:56Speaker 2: personal relationships, you know, or or any number of things.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And and you know what those things are.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Well. And and if you're if you're if you're not,
