- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, and welcome back to the pretty little podcast.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: We are your hosts.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Phoebe.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Caroline, and today we're back at it again with the pop culture breaking news.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have any breaking news, but we are going to be commenting on what one was breaking news.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: I was about to make a joke.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: We can't make it.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what we call a teaser.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, I'm also gonna tease over the weekend.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: We recorded a really fun pretty little punch ball.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: I was laughing.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, it was a little late y'all.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had a busy weekend.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: But it's up now and it was a lot.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: I tried something out with the editing.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me what you think.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: Can you give me a hint?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: And next time, hey, don't ever do that again.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: I was just playing around with some features on here.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I was just playing around with some effects like making Caroline look like the devil or making Caroline look like she hasn't slept in weeks.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: You think I look bad in the video?
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: That is something new Phoebe tried.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not actually me or what I look like.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: It is actually something new that Phoebe tried.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, um, there's I like realize that there's a feature on here where like if one of us is speaking for a long time and like I'm like taking a sip of Diet Coke, it can just show you or vice versa.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you just learned I should have taught you about that because I only edit the, I only edit the Patreon in here.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I haven't really had a use for it otherwise.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there you go.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: One time I was trying to do that because there was like one clip of me where I looked like actually like monstrous and I was like, I can't have this.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I exported the entire thing into eye movies so I could edit it.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, thank you so much, myself.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this should prove much easier.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say when I'm doing like our little clips for social media, there might be a moment where I'm speaking and I want to both of them as screen, but like you pick your notes.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So then it's like, okay, it'll just be me.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll bring feedback in when she's done.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Or like the worst is, well, you hate when I talk about you.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: You hate when I talk to you.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: I hate when you talk lies about me.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that wasn't a lie.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: That is a lie.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: You picking your nose all recording.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it happens.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually not a big fear.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, this is not a joke.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes, okay, maybe your fingers are like all the way up there.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes, yeah, you're like scratching your nose and shed.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that I ain't taking it all because I'm being really nice.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what I mean?
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what I do when you know what I want when you do your sniffles or your coughs.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, or your anism I like to call it.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: which is, you know how an aunt tells a story.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: She does her teacher.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe hates how I smack my lips.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like that.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: It shouldn't like that.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: And before she starts a thought.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, well, any who, they're pretty little punch bowl episode that we put up on the Patreon for tier two was really fun because we actually,
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you guys have heard about the Hollywood Reporter article that came out interviewing the girls, which Phoebe has forbidden me from reading.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was a bit.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were like, I don't know if you guys have seen the Hollywood Reporter article that came out about what we've recently signed on to, which is a new reboot of Pretty The Liars set air in twenty years.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, in so many words, we kind of have.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because in the Hollywood Reporter article, they said they would like to open the door for like a movie or a limited series kind of thing.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: And we went ahead.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know that I know my girls.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know my girls are probably like, I want to be in it.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like your time has come and gone.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: We actually recast.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: We cast if there were a pretty little liars movie today.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: we did like a reboot of the show that started at the beginning and we just read the whole thing but we kind of got to take our own like for example the fact that we weren't scared of admitting what happened between Melissa and Emily we kind of were like well our castings gonna reflect that we're not scared of that of course and if you are like scratching your head like what the heck what the heck happened between Emily and Melissa then you need to go join the patreon and listen to her punch ball from I think last month or two months ago where we really went
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: And tape, like we really laid it off for you guys.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what happened between Emily Fields and Melissa Hastings.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you can go listen to that too.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to hear our movie casting, which I think chefs kiss, we killed it.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And you guys can let us know your thoughts because for some of them, you know, we haven't done, done auditions yet.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: This is our short list.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: We said, we haven't done chemistry testing, nothing like that.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: So let us know what you guys think or if we missed anybody that we should have come in and read, like I'm definitely open to it.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: I probably won't do it just because you say so, but like I'll definitely consider it.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good one.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: So go check that out.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: That is a good one.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I also want to let you guys know next week, the week of the Fourth of July, which is famously my dog Chuck's birthday and baptism, we are taking off.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: But if you guys are really lucky, we might release a pretty little punch bowl episode from the Patreon.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: probably not the Emily and Melissa Lore one because that one's kind of classified but that exactly is is all in there if you want to hear it and go to the patreon we signed a contract we can only give as much we only have a certain amount of classified information a month and last week during the pretty of the liars episode
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: We really want to rip, right?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: We always win, we win over.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: And we're being fine.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to be fine for it.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: But we're all grown.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: We're taking it on the chin.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: You're welcome.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing real journalism.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're not even crowdfunding for it.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: We're taking the fine.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we said, OK, we're just going to take a week off.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we are taking off the week of Chuck's birthday July fourth.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to hear from us next week.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: So you need to really savor this episode and the episode on Thursday and the episode to get in the Patreon.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: there okay so there um yeah all right well let's dive into it how are you how was your busy weekend any riveting stories to share with us riveting stories riveting stories um no but Maddie Bartone finally made her way to smashville can't believe finally and this is how I know she's been a she's in a she's in a very happy lovely relationship now very happy for her
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: But it is funny because like Mimi met Maddie and Maddie.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: God, what a meeting of the minds that must have been.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: Maddie and Mimi's mind is very specific to the stories I've told about Maddie.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: Right, of course.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: And Maddie's wild card, Maddie's a unit at a certain point.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'd out like she goes hard.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: This is not the Maddie that Mimi met.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I was a day after Mimi was like, I really liked her.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: I just like this.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I was expecting her all.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: I was like,
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you're like, well, you're meeting your wife top version of that.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, yeah, yeah, uh, lucky you, I guess, but I'm also unlucky you.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm lucky you because it's an experience.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: It is, and everybody should get to experience one night with Patty, Marta.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: With Patty.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's what she's called in college, but um, yeah, we went to party for all they said it was
- 7:06[SPEAKER_01]: But one thing that is so great is that party fell, such a good go to.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: Anytime I think someone's not going to like it, I realize it's only because I have it so much.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's no chance.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: No one's going to like it.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, if you don't know what party fell is, it's Phoebe's favorite hot chicken in Nashville.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're going in Nashville, you've got to put that on the list.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's so good.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sit down, which I really like, like, haddy bees and princes.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: I, like, it's fine, but I just, I like a sit down restaurant.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I did it.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not always in the mood for like a casual dining experience.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not if you're actually kind of bitch.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I've always said that.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then he's always said that she is not a casual kind of bitch.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: Look at me.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look at her.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: She's in a bow gown.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I wasn't going to ask about it, but it's I was kind of your business.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm recording.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to go to Princess or how do you be as good a princess.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's the original, but I if you want to sit down experience.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's great hot chicken.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: Good drinks.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's not very expensive.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think any of Maddie's friends listen to this podcast so I can say this on Friday.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: They
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: They made the determination that they wanted to go eat on Broadway, which in case you're unfamiliar with the area is an insane thing to do.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not in all the ways to eat Broadway is truly, especially not the big bad Broadway like New York.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: This is the party street, especially when you haven't left.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's seven, thirty in your making this decision and you haven't left your house yet.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: And like
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: You live fifteen minutes away and it's a Friday.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just miserable.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: And it was just gonna be my first time meeting these people and I was just like, I didn't even think we're doing this on my terms on my turf.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: I had Mattie and I discussed, we were gonna go to party foul, get hot chicken, which is by the way, something you do when you visit Nashville, even if you don't really think you like it, you've never had it.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: So hot out there.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, no, we're just gonna go to Broadway and then
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, ooh, I, my first meet, my first time being around all of you can't be that you guys have been getting drunk on a boat all day.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: I completely sober and have worked at nine to five and now I'm getting into this night already on Broadway with you guys.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna ease into the night by going to party fall, eating dinner, getting a little buzz at dinner and then going to Broadway.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So what I'm hearing is the people who are visiting Nashville didn't do it, didn't want to do exactly what you wanted to do and you threw a little bit of a fit.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's where he's like bingo.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like thought I didn't.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was like Maddie Andrew.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: I need you to know that like it wasn't that like it's not that was just like I'll hang out with you guys tomorrow.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_01]: I just needed
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: It was going to be way too oversimulating for me.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would have been, I know I would have been acting like a bitch all night and I didn't want.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: What else is new?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, me, Maddie probably expected that.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: She might be talked up Maddie that me and you're like, here's what to expect.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Maddie was talking to her, friends, and her boyfriend.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, here's what to expect.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Massive bitch.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: One thing to know about Phoebe Kay.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Massive Beat.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: All right, comes by it, honestly.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Her older sister is so nice, so that is where it gets confusing to me.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: Cause her older sister is like so nice.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like what's the need to rest to the family?
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like really in her line or literally such dreams.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: So nice.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like dreams to talk to.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's like never a dull moment.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Never a moment where you feel uncomfortable at all.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like you are, you are like, I feel okay, we're all family here.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then Phoebe comes in and you're like, did it chill?
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Did it chill?
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Just come over the entire room.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a ghost in here?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a, is there a supernatural entity in the room?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel it chilled out of my bones.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, no, it's just Phoebe's body temperature's like, thirty degrees.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: We've tried to figure it out.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, your guest is as good as ours.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, we ask everybody who visits the house to put their guests in this little jar as they walk out.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you think Phoebe's individual temperature is thirty degrees Fahrenheit?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: And Maddie wrote, because she's a frigid bitch.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: So just like you guys know, that's how Maddie talked about Phoebe to her friends and Phoebe was like, you got to meet Betty and I think Maddie's friends got what they came for and on your friends, I mean, maybe about a different version of Maddie.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: Mimi kills me.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Mimi goes, I just can't wait for your mom to get here and I was like, I know.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: because as soon as Georgia and Mimi get together, nobody else in the room.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty girl let's hate on her.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's pretty girl let's hate on her.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about everything Phoebe.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, get me in there.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for this experience because what will I do?
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Guys take votes.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Will I have Phoebe's back or will I bury her six feet under?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: I have a prediction.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, so that's my, my weekend was great.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't anything like too crazy, but just we're using it now.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: If I went to chill out Saturday with Mimi.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty good.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty cool.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty sweet.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty sweet.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's a freaking heat advisory here in Pittsburgh and like half the country, I believe.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it is hot.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: It is HOT.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: I am melting a little bit.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't wait to get a Nashville where it's probably going to be ten degrees worse.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what's the temperature in Pittsburgh?
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like, ninety-five degrees.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I actually might be hotter there.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's ninety-five.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Who?
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Anywho.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually not gonna be that bad this weekend.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Nineties, but not anything crazy.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: What I like to hear.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we've got a lot of culture to get into, to discuss a lot of reality TV to discuss.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: So let's start with some of the culture.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I do want to start by discussing this pretty little liars interview.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: It is taking me internet by storm.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have not read it, but I have read quotes.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I told her she's not alone.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like so confused.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_00]: I am so confused by Sasha, by Lucy, standing by this love story in the year, twenty twenty five.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, Sasha Petersa love you, but what are you doing saying in so many ways?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: It was Ari's bad because I did read that whole quote.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, let's be clear.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Even if we were to conveniently forget that Ezra knew Ari is age when he met her at the bar because he was already doing research and stalking him to write a book on her friend who he was already inappropriately involved with, even if we conveniently forget that.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: The day that she walked into his classroom should have been the day that ended.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they met at the bar, okay, sure, you know, they both
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't know she lied whatever.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe that you can put it on.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you walked out of the bar that day thinking this girl's at least twenty one and also isn't a vegetarian that is that is Ari's bad.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you go into your high school English classroom the next day and see the girl that you thought was at least twenty one and a vegetarian that's actually another becomes your bad.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: that becomes your bad as the teacher and as the adults in the relationship.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: And at that point, there's such a power and balance that nothing, Arya does.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not like she was like the school siren.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like that low key was always to do the run to us.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Arya wasn't doing that to like, I don't know.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's only she was like walking in and her, come fuck me heels trying to like entice the teacher.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she just happened to have already met him.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: It is not her bad that they ended up in this fucking relationship, and I think it's very dangerous rhetoric.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: Even if she had walked in in her fucking heels, I think she's probably referencing those scenes where Arya is constantly coming back to the classroom, but it's like that doesn't matter.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's the adult.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Well, exactly.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's like an attractive adult who she's the Arya already thinks she's the wife beyond our years.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know a million high school students who would do the same shit if they were in that situation.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: The difference is there are two people in the relationship and one of them is a literal adult is in a position of power.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: No is better.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: Is required to set that very clear boundary if the student is trying to push something.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's what you're doing different class.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: There are a million things that could have happened.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think, like, as much as I understand that, yeah, they were not going to be able to do away with that storyline because of the way people clamored for Ezreal.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: I get that.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to be defending it now.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can say that and be like, look, we loved it for what it was, but now you're defending it.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and then.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then I was alerted and I did not know this, but you know, how do me from Mormon wives has like this weird thing with her husband Brad, how he met her when she was nine years old.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, are you going to bring a sausage?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's come out.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you worked on the show.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure, but he met her apparently when she was like eight.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: And they started dating when she was like sixteen and he was in his childhood.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that like,
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's the lens that she's viewing this through.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to get too into that, but I just I do think it's crazy that they are and are they just scared of Marlene like I don't get it.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know because even she was like she had the most mild response.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: You think she was like we kept the relationship around because
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the fans wanted.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: And like at a certain point, it's like, and it was a different time.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, I don't know.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: There's also part of you that's like, I understand it's a teen show.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's a teen targeted.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's a show targeted to teens.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's part of the problem.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: But there is, I think Marlene always kind of saw what they were doing.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little higher brow than maybe people.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: She's also looking at it from a way of, like, well, TV is how we explore these, like, forbidden.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you're on the CW or Mac, like, that's the other thing is, like, if this had been a show targeted towards adults, they could have explored the storyline in a different way what we don't need to be doing is encouraging teenage girls to see themselves as Arya and romanticize having a relationship with an adult.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's a social, also says something about how someone came up to her and said, yes.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_01]: She ended up with her teacher.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that social was like, oh, no!
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, why are we mentioning that in this interview?
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we mentioning that in the line after you say that it was Ari is bad?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also dead with like, I know Marlene's open to a reboot, and I'm sure she is.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure there are plenty of cost members who are open.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think it's funny that Shay Mitchell just seems like so clearly she's like plugged out of me.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I wouldn't know again because I didn't read it.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: So there's part of it where they're talking about how in the universe of the perfectionist like the continued universe of three little ears, Ali and Emily are divorced.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: And Emily goes, yeah, I didn't, I didn't know that.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know that as well.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know what I was saying.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: But that's crazy.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: How do you not know that?
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think maybe she meant she didn't, like, she hadn't, she found out, maybe not this recently, but like, she found out.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: She finds out in the video.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's, everyone's like, um, can you scratch that from the record?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: It does not make us, it's a group.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, they all said that they regretted making that choice and I'm like, well, yeah, well, it really was like, yeah, she wasn't interested in continuing, but we had to like figure out what we would to do.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I'm dead.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I also thought it was weird.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just from what I hear, there was not a lot of mention of Sarah Shepard at all, and I think it's kind of strange Sarah Shepard was on included in this.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: The fifteen year anniversary of the universe.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like the fifteen year anniversary of the universe, she created and then allowed you to enhance, you know, like her name is in every single episode of the show.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: These are her characters, this is her world.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: How are you not going to
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: and the white her include a quote from her mention her that much like I don't know I just thought that was strange and we're pretty defenses and we're defensive of our girls there.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, hello, and they didn't and and okay all throw this in there too.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: We did not get a call.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: We also didn't get it.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big thing.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's a big hit.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Hey where your where your show's literally based.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: But that's fine.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys want to not love it in a razor.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big problem in my life.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: A big problem in my life.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I do think it would be very fun if they were to do some sort of a reboot or something.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: But is this all we're getting?
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they've been doing all this teasing of the fifteen years.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: I do think I am like, there's, in they got everybody.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, except Sarah shut up.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: But like, I was surprised they got every liar to put stuff in on about the show, especially not that they don't.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: I do think they embrace it, like they'll always post stuff and like all they're posted through really fast stuff.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think Ashley and Shay specifically feel more relieved from everything.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: And Troy and a little bit but not as much.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: I also feel and I think because Troy and was older already when it happened, I think she just she looks back at that time a little more fondly than maybe they think.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's also like Troy and I feel like pretty immediately started her family after the show and
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: was kind of doing, you know, the motherhood thing, and she's still acting, so that's why she, you know, but, and not that Shay and Ashley are not, but I don't feel like it's what they're leading with at this time, and maybe it was sort of what they wanted to get away from.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's also so hard, like you really need to break people's, you know, I love it.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: A little differently, I feel like because they didn't go right into starting their family.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: They tried to keep the momentum going and after I show like this, it's just so hard to, I feel like break out of that mold.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: And so, because like actually did spring breakers, I guess I was a little bit while she was still on the show, but like shaded you and that movie with like, she's not rom-com or she played like the other woman.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: are like the young girl that the that the guy mayor I don't Jennifer Anderson I feel like was I don't really at all but obviously I know you but again it'll be like us season two seasons
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like one, I think just that first one, any hell.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I do, I feel like I wonder if that's like maybe there's a little bit of like, obviously that show changed other lives, but also maybe limited some of their options.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you want to break out from it for sure, because I think you're so cemented in that character, you know, once you've been that forever, that's, that's who people see you as.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that Ashley and Shay more so than the others no longer wanted that to be like,
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: their thing.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that with some time and space, there comes like an appreciation for that.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: We're now they may be more willing to.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, Oh, this is a proof of that.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: And like, well, this isn't have to be an albatross for us.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't have to be something we're trying to break out of anymore.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's been fifteen years.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: that is such a huge part of who we are and it's the reason we are where we are and now it's like you've still got this fan base that you could be capitalizing on in different areas like get that pretty little layers fan base to buy all your base bags that kind of a thing which I think she does but anyway um I can't wait to actually read it is there anything else in there that you think we should discuss
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't think so.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing's sticking out to me at the moment.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, did you see that Beyonce had my Lee come out and saying to most wanted?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, but okay.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say this.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Paris really won.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: Paris really won.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Beyonce even smoked a cigarette on stage.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: Paris, you really won.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: And again, the smoking back in culture.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: We've been saying it.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I don't care about that.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know, but there is still something to be said for like getting to go into a Beyonce concert and getting to see Beyonce and Jay-Z perform crazy and long.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, don't mind me.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: Don't mind me about him.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's sort of my thing.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: Don't remind me that like you've fucking got a weight around your ankle.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I feel about Jay-Z.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Just like he's just a loser in my mind.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm a tier A list.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: We both saw it.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: You loved it.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: I did not.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, I really liked it.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was funny enough.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was funny enough.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what I'm looking for.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I want to go to a combat.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's an advertiser's a rom-com.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: Do you not call it funny enough?
- 23:23[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, that's not good enough.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess that's true.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was not exactly that.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's not all expressing that.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: I can't explain why I liked it.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't hate it.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: The way that everybody else seems to have.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and everybody else really does seem to have just liked it, which is I think hilarious.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Where did I send you this tweet?
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think so.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was a really aesthetically interesting movie.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: I just liked the way it looked.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: I obviously love all three of the lead actors so that they were great.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think they could all have chemistry with the wall if they wanted to.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like one critique.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure I have more, but one thing that I noticed during the movie is I wish we had had more of a timeline set up, wish there was a way to see how quickly or how slowly things are progressing, because like, spoilers for the materialists, everybody.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: By the time we get to the scene right before they go to Iceland and like, when they break up,
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, but how long have they been together?
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Like, how long have you taken and then like, when does she run into John?
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then like, what is the timeline between that?
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's just unclear.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: I would have liked like a four months later, a couple of days, especially because at first when we're seeing the montage of all the dates that Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson go on,
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was, first I was, did they move to a different restaurant?
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't tell if they were in different clothes.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then I realized, oh, we're watching a bunch of their different dates, but I'm still not understanding how much time is actually.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: no happening between these states and how long has it been before like we know Johns and that play in a few weeks that she's gonna go see how long how many weeks was that because we see them like we see Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson having a conversation about like are we gonna be serious and then the next time we see them together is after Johns play and Dakota Johnson introduces Pedro Pascal as her boyfriend.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I never really got that comfort.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm still like, I don't know.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: I that's that was my complaint.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't take away from the movie for me.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like there were honestly like doing a little bit of and it ends with us thing where Chris Evans is playing the Atlas character, you know, the
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I'm kind of over say, I got thinking about that.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: I also, it was so unclear to me whether or not this was a comedy.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like I know it was marketed as a comedy and I was really expecting this to be as you had said, like the way they were marketing this was like, this is going to be a return to the door's door.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Delaware's product era rom-com and visually especially the opening sequence I really enjoyed I thought it was like gorgeous and I really got that vibe from it like the music but then as soon as we got into it I just was like this is kind of lame and then I'm sorry trigger warning for sexual assault I did not fucking see that coming there is a whole last sexual assault storyline that comes into play out of nowhere and I haven't seen that marketed at all as part of it there was no trigger warning that I saw
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: And it's kind of like...
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: dark like it's really dark and there was a moment there where I was just it didn't connect back to Noah or in any way other than it just rattling her and I was like is this gonna turn into like a horror film now and that's there's this vibe after Dakota Johnson finds out because the whole premise and sorry this is major spoilers but the premise of this movie is that she's this amazing matchmaker she's nine marriages that she you know takes credit for and she works for this company where she matches people up and
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: It is kind of a depressing look at dating in this year and especially who men are.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's really gritty and depressing the way that they all speak and say what they're looking for and how what they say they're looking for is different from what they're actually looking for and all that.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: But ultimately Dakota Johnson matches somebody.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: with the sky and she calls the guy and he's like, oh, it's such a great date, whatever.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: And she doesn't hear from the girl.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: We find out he sexually assaulted this girl on their date.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes through this huge like it seems like it's almost going to be this existential crisis and she doesn't want to do her job anywhere on these things.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: And they also are like, oh, it's very normal.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's the moment where she goes back to the matchmaking agency and they're like, well, it's happened to all of us.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, okay, what is the point of this movie?
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because this no longer feels like a wrong comment.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: This now feels like a moment of like pulling back the curtain on dating in in twenty twenty five or something like that.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Then we get this scene with Dakota Johnson, like a trench coat and a baseball cap.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like lurking around.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: And she's giving Hannah Marin in this next episode of Pretty Little Liars.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: She's giving, like, pen, vaguely in you.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she's giving someone, and I was like, is she about to go kill the guy?
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's actually a salted her client.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that is what I thought was about to happen.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Cause it starts just getting kind of weird.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's a moment where like, she gets a call and she needs to go, whatever.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, is she being trapped by this woman?
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is she being trapped by this guy?
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is something terrible about to happen that we're about to see.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so I kind of sat the whole movie once that part of the storyline was introduced.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: with this uneasy feeling of like, what am I actually watching?
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: And, and it really felt like nobody knew when they were allowed to laugh.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I think part of that is just all the main actors have very dry senses of humor and that's how the lines were read.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: But it also was like, I can't even actually tell if you're like being a good actor right now.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: I do think part, like, I do wish.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that storyline was weird too.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't necessarily, again, like,
- 29:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I don't know.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: I had my expectations going in there, but I wasn't so attached to them that it, like, made me not enjoy the movie.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think what Mike critique would be, I can see in the director's mind she did pass lives another A. Twenty more movie.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: a similar kind of like wrong place, wrong time, like full mate, stuff.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think also knowing that it was her, I knew it wasn't gonna be purely a rom-com.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like I just, I didn't necessarily, I knew there would be like more substance to it, I guess.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: But honestly, what I, I think I was kind of expecting maybe was more of a he's just out that into you vibe.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: With this movie.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: And that is kind of what the marketing felt like it was the same kind of time.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: And same thing with it's like, oh, the woes of dating.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like that was still there.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: And you've, and so I think that's sort of what I was expecting.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then I also, you see who we've got build here.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, I'm in for an incredible film.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: And all of these people are very funny and attractive and talented and hot right now.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: and then I just felt like it fell flat for me based on, I guess, my expectations.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: But also, I feel like if you're going to put the sexual assault storyline in, it's such an important topic, but it doesn't have to be in every movie.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, as much as it is important, even within the context of this film, it's like, did you say anything new about it?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: Did you do anything with this storyline that makes a difference that is going to really like,
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: Help somebody.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Does this even push the story for?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's what I mean.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was getting into when I brought like I can understand the director.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: The director needed to get Dakota Johnson's care.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: I can't losey.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: You needed to get Lucy to a position where she was feeling.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: like she had hit her rut and was at a dead end with her career and like all this like she was starting to reconsider and re-evaluate everything that she thought about her profession how she viewed relationships generally based on her parents like we get that whole thing with how she and John have the same kind of upbringing and she's had all these things are coming to her brain and like sitting her into a spiral I just think that the inciting incident it could have been a client that did it to her but like it didn't I know that it needed to be
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: this because then I'm like, I kept waiting for Dakota Johnson to connect to it in some way.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, me too.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: I really did too.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I guess the connection really was we start out the film really seeing this materialistic.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: We'll also with Dakota Johnson's character.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: She's so materialistic when you find out
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and when you find out how much money she makes, I was shocked.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I make eighty thousand dollars.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, what?
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: Especially with, like, I was like, a person she said it, I forgot.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Not that I forgot, but I was like, in my head, I immediately was like, well, that'd be awesome.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Then I remember like throughout the whole movie, the figures that she's talking about that people.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I thought Shirley was making, like,
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it seems like she's like the best in the company.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_00]: I thought she owned the company and the first scene the way that was laid out.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like it seems like when a client gets married, you should get a bonus.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and the way that she just carries herself and all these, I just really got the vibe that she's living in New York, right?
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, that's not a lot of money.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I was going through.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, in my brain, that's not a bad salary, but then I was like, but in New York, but in you see her apartment, and you see the lifestyle, she's kind of like, it's like everything is about how much money do you make, how much, where do you somewhere, like going to his house and being just draw dropped by how nice his apartment is and all of these things.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, I guess the point was,
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: she's like taking all the boxes, she's doing all the math for all the like on paper.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: This person is a catch and not actually looking at the human for like the connection or who they actually are, but it just fell kind of flap for me and I, what's this a point of by that?
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: So any hint, let us know what you guys think of the materialists.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: I saw some people that were not happy that she ended up with John and I was like,
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we knew she was going to.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: I also think it's ironic a little bit, and this is me getting on soapbox, but like, okay, people are age, love being like, fuck fast fashion, all this, we were in such a consumeristic society.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm seeing all these tweets from very similar people who are saying stuff like that, who are like, this is just broke guy propaganda.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, okay, you're like, in your brain, Pedro Pasco's character works in a private equity firm.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what do you like?
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: He is the enemy and all of your brains, but you're like, exactly.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: The Johnson ends up with like the guy that she number one actually loves.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: And two is poor.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, not, yeah, that's the whole.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: So hypocritical.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole point of view out as like, it's about being materialistic.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think, I don't know, there was a lot happening there, and I just, I don't know, wasn't, I wasn't obsessed, but that's okay, I don't have to be obsessed.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to, I know.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right, moving along, what did you think of Lord's new song?
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: I like that I haven't listened to it a whole lot since it came out all me either.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's my least favorite out of the three, she's so far released.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too, just because there's some melodies in man of the year.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: So man of the year sometimes I'm not in the mood to listen to it because it's it has a bit of a slow start.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like what was that just feels like a Lord song like it just like immediately.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm told where is the other two.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's giving more combination of solar power and melodrama and like solar power has some of those things that just takes you second.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I really liked it.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it was catchy for a little.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: I just need to listen to it more, I think.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I think I'm also really excited to listen to this album in this section, like in context, no way that she wants us to, because I think similarly with Melodrama, how a lot of those songs like standalone.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, now we still love them standalone, but at the time, I'm sure it would have been like, oh, this song feels like it's part of something bigger.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I think
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: I do feel like we're getting kind of a return to that with this Lord Album that I'm really, really excited for.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I do like that one of the lines is when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: What do you guys say?
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think I said this song you've done so far.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is just a sad song.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: One hundred percent.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, next, have you listened and it's entirety to Benson Boons, New Album?
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, I was going to wait to do it for Mom's here.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we're going to have a listening party to speak and should we go live?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, I haven't listened to it, but I did feel bad for the guy.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: I sent Mimi that that hard post from Rolling Stone that shows you got a two star review and I was like, I just think if if an album doesn't get at least three stars are higher, don't post about it.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Don't don't post about it.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's so mean to me.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's, okay, I'm glad that you feel like, because I was like, okay, are we being a little bit hard on Benny?
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Our mom loves him.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: At least I'm doing our mom loves him.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think at a certain point, you do just have to be, like, if you're gonna, you have to have that personality to be able to do it.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: But it is, I worry he's gonna lose it, like, because for how long will he really be able to?
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: Because, like, he's taking the joke and his music video a lot.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he just is like the music video, then people will take him seriously and hopefully able to stop it.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I see that.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he keeps leaning into all these like archetypes of who he could be and who he wants to remind you of and it's like who are you exactly and I don't understand like now I don't you want you to just be this caricature of yourself that we all describe to you but also like
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: before this album you're giving like Harry Styles you're in these jumpsuits.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like kind of pretty brilliant like flamboyant thing and now your album cover is you all dirt like you look like you're from like Bruce Springstein like you look like you're like trying to yeah and then in the interview about why you chose the American symbolism it is nothing to do with any of that and I just think it's kind of interesting to like
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty important.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you asked for a spring scene, why the American flag is on the born in the USA probably right there in the US.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it probably already has it written.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: And it would be just Hannah's album is called.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like Benson Boone would be like, because I have an American heart and my heart has been some Boone.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think that's very similar to what it's quote was literally about it.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: And Bruce Spring scene would be like, it's not just because the album is called born in the USA.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is why the album is called that and like all these reasons that there's all this symbolism that backs it up.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: Just he really is just throwing everything in the wall and seeing what stakes, but the problem is there's no consistency, so it all reads as an authenticity.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: I also feel like he's trying to do sort of what we keep saying, Sabrina Carbender's campus trying to do, which is like, hit us over the head with this as who I am.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the back flip boy.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, yes, we got it.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_00]: We got it out of glare, but also you being the back flip boy is it still feels like you're in a showman thing.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: that it's fine like be the back flip boy, but you're doing that in the blue Vinec jumpsuit and the Harry set like in the thing it feels like that could be part of you but everything else about you is hinting at somebody else so it's just hard to figure out like well with Sabrina it's like they are hitting us over the head with who she is
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: But it is consistent.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: And even if Sabrina is like, like, there was that tweet exchange she just had where someone was like, does she ever talk about anything other than, is her personality anything other than sex?
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: And she quote, tweeted it and was like, yeah, and it's so good.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it's so good.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's so funny.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: So she does, she's able to tastefully or like tasteful as the wrong word.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: just like just the right amount of showing who should be giving us authenticity.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but she's still throwing this one image of herself at us.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: So it feels like there's Sabrina Carbender as a brand.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know what your brand is.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: His inability to tune out the noise is hurting him because as much as he's taking the noise and he's like, okay, I'm going to like subvert this and we're going to make it my thing.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, okay, but you're so entrenched in what people are saying about you.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: that I think it's like bringing you down more like you need to ascend past this where I think Sabrina Carbender is like I'm still gonna show you bits of my personality and show you these things is I'm not so entrenched in what people are thinking about me that I can't say anything else except that or you know responding to something that somebody said about me and making that my whole personality.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: I also think with her as much as there are like nods to other, you know, superstars who have come before her.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: She is, it is an original concept.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's based on a lot of different things, but we don't look at her and say, oh, you're trying to do exactly what this person is doing.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas, but any other thing is, and maybe I'm wrong.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: But like, has Harry Styles ever acknowledged Vincent Boone?
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm like, okay, a lot of people could say, there are a lot of things about Sabrina that I think remind me of dolly.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: But then she goes and does a song with dolly.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I'm acknowledging the similarities there.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also acknowledging that I'm a lot different.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: And there are a lot of things about me that are very different.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're seeing the similarities there, that's okay.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason I have been influenced by her.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: And dolly's acknowledging that.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and dolly is celebrating it and we're kind of in on it together.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Is Harry style has he ever said anything about Benson Boone?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: What sucks for Benson Boone is Harry's just like not the type to do so.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: But you kind of picked the wrong guy.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we should have picked that shit.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we should have gone the edge of your and route.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: Ed Sheer to be all over the body.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_01]: You would be opening for him right?
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, moving along, let's get into a couple other things.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: Selena Gomez got bangs.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: My girl.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: You are looking so good.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Let us chill for a second.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: Can you just relax for a second?
- 41:32[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I don't love the the the message that's being sent by a newly engaged person when they get bangs.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the time to get bangs.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: If you just got engaged, you're entering the most photographed era of that life.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's one reason.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_01]: But number two, it's like, this is not a time in your life that you even want someone to misunderstand an action of yours as a cry for help.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_00]: You don't want anybody here thinking, oh, God, she's going through something.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we don't.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's something you do after a breakup, and that's fine.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: It signals to everybody.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'm fragile.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, okay, we all got it.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_00]: But Selena, you're supposed to be on top of the world.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: How is now the time to get bangs?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like she has had the before, and it's like, I'm trying to remember, I mean, probably.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: We've had so much fun.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: And to be fair of only seeing one photo of like really things like what kind of bangs are they?
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there's no.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: I saw they're like messy.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't want to say to like Taylor bangs.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: And when Taylor has her curly bangs, but they're like messy, shaggy bang.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I believe she won picture.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I could be back when I was still going to the side bang, of course, who didn't?
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it was a round when Taylor introduced her in nineteen eighty nine bang.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_01]: And oh my god.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: I remember the hair style.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a serendipity.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: I like was explained or actually was what I was growing my bangs out and I was doing like angles.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_01]: I was trying to get some texture.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I was explaining that to her and she goes, but you don't want like the, you don't like the Taylor Swift bang.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, you don't want like that.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, good morning.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: I can't get the words out.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, are you looking for a picture?
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just, I don't love it.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: And she's been looking so good and so chic and her hair has been actually, it's not as bad as I was anticipating.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: Hold it up, let me see.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't actually, is this, this is the most recent picture, right?
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: But what I will say she did have bangs.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: She had like the classic, twenty, seventy days.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: Like that looks good.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe she's trying to get back to that.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe, but I also, but her hair is not long.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: She's actually had bangs quite a few times.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's true.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: I guess that's true.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: But, okay, okay, be showing me a million pictures of Selena Gomez with bangs, but I just know that she got them again.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we really hit on something here.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not the time.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, I'm gonna say something.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: We already, as a people, aren't sold.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we're already scratching our heads a little bit about the engagement.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think if anybody in the couple is making cosmetic amendments to their look.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, you were to hear first Phoebe Pink's but he won't go as ugly.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't see that.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: I just said when when your fans Benny dared you to pluck your eyebrows and you did it.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he did and it made a difference.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Selena.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so okay, Selena's impact and it's like is this Benny's impact?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: Because if this is Benny's impact, I know he makes you smile and not we like, but thanks.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's giving.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_00]: She went to him and she was like, babe, I think I want to get bangs.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just so you guys know, I don't like we have any straight men listening, but if we do, it comes to you and says she'll, hey, I think it's time for me to get bangs.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: You need to say to her, but you're so beautiful the way you are.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: Let's wait.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: Let's sleep on it.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: don't get get the kitchen scissors out and take her to the bathroom to do it for her like I just feel like Benny probably was like oh my god you look beautiful no matter what you do and it's like of course he's Selena Gomez but I just it sends a message this is a crazy little thing that I just got in my brain great that you just got it just who gave it to you I just got this it's delivered to me little guys up there
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: Mom, mom, don't listen for a sec, the lesions.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, go on.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: My little buds.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: My little friends.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: My little buds.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder how they are.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I need to.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: Travis and Benny's relationship to me gives the energy of this is where I need you to bear with me.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_01]: Ace and Jeremiah.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Who's who?
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that should be clear.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually not.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: What Travis is Jeremiah in Asia for like, okay, can I say something?
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, okay, let's just go ahead and get into it.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: We're moving into love island at the time.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: I need to save you things.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: I want to start with, I'm sorry, America.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and I'm sorry, everybody.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: I can't help it.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: I would be so sunk for him.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see the picture of him sitting on the couch where his feet aren't touching around?
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I did.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: He'd be on five one.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's not an issue for me.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: But that doesn't give you the ticket all.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, actually, gives you the egg is every face jar in Miami.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: The entire time he was in the villa.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's so fair.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: What I was saying was not it wasn't it wasn't in terms of necessarily person.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just mean like Jeremiah seems like
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, it was about example, but all I mean is like, yes, Travis seems like a cool guy, you know, and he's like a big guy.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he has everything going for him in that way.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: And Ace is like shorter and maybe has to overcompensate in other ways with a bunch of other stuff.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think there's a little secret part of Ace in all of the men, frankly, that resent to germ.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: They just didn't like him from the start.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: Benny could maybe like in some like he and Selena might have those little like inside jokes but like well Travis does it like maybe Travis does something stupid because he's like a caveman football player and like they like go home and they're like and you can you believe he said that they're like and he definitely does not know Aristotle she was right about that one like make little comments of dinner they're like yeah they're like oh let's put a pin in this for the call um no I I see that
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: back to love island my thing with Jeremiah will first of all so last night he was evicted guys were we're recording this hours before cost hours before cost a holy shit I can't wait I'm so glad they're sending the girls to cost of this year like finally give them a change of scenery let the guys be like stuck in the same place and be like what the fuck are those girls doing it's a totally different vibe and I and I know them never do this but I just think that
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think the girls should always be the ones going to class.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: I do too.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the idea of the girls waking up in their men are gone.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's like, okay, that's too real.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's too much like real life.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, for a lot of women.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I think I think it's good.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Let's scare them in a little bit.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let's let them be a little bit scared.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: Make up where's my bitch.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_00]: Don't call her that.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_01]: But also Caroline, if Caroline weren't Ariana's position, she would just be setting traps for these men.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: But like that all the time.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Caroline would come in and say, where are your bitches?
- 48:33[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, we woke up or like, where's my bitch?
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, don't call her that.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Caroline, you, my camera's not rolling bitch.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I love the little peek behind the curtain of them before they sent Charlie home.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_01]: When you see that massive, did you see this on?
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the huge bite of Ariana.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: It was just the biggest fucking bug I've ever seen.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: So interesting and funny to see how Ariana acts and she's not playing this character of the love island host.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: And she said she was like, it was so tense.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was like, we couldn't even really have that big of a reaction and like laugh because the moment was genuinely so intense.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then Charlie goes, prop a killed the vibe.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, your vibe is about to get killed.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, your vibe is about to get killed.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: You think this killed the vibe just wait.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: But my thing about Jeremiah.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: So last night, we lost Hannah and Jeremiah.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Joel on the floor.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have any friends in this house that matters.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, here's a deal.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually really care about either of them going to be honest.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I like Hannah.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a crazy decision.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how it makes any sense if I'm in the villa.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, me too.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't really care because here's the deal.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremiah, I think, is a classic victim of I've always been a weird kid.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: I just got hot.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see the pictures from the, you know, from twenty ninety.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_01]: But I know he has like a book talk about all the comments are like, oh, I just know he watched anime or I just know he did this.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: I just know I'm a hundred percent like he just every one of his little faces like he'd say something that should have been smooth and then he'd like put his tongue between his teeth and like
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: like big tape shit like whatever or he like just made all these really bizarre faces like and I didn't even think he was really a bad guy like I think his ability to not react to what Huda put him through was really admirable honestly like not saying he's perfect but
- 50:25[SPEAKER_00]: couldn't be me.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think that like personality wise, he's a little bit of a loser.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think he just gave me the Ick a little bit.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I also think the other guys were super duper intimidated by him because he is objectively the hottest guy in there.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: Here's my issue with them.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_01]: Is that and that's why I do think it has to come down to some kind of jelly jealousy.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say envy jelly and I just hate that word and I can't envy no jelly Anyway, um
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: When they separated, put a, and Jeremiah, I mean, I know we did that, but they were all written for it.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, who's that?
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: But they were all like, they wanted them separated from the start.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: And it's all, it's all like you're supposed to be exploring options.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to be doing this.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to be doing this.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then he does it.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, starting his new connection with this new girl.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys are like, yes, you guys are making and well, Nick is interested.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: Nick is interested.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are making and Nick is very good.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody thinks that Ace is like the ring leader of this villa of the guys.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's Nick.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nick is the quiet mastermind here because if you notice like the conversations he's having he and Ace are having the same kind of conversations and when they're having them together they're very cerebral about like the point of the game and how everybody's moving and blah blah blah and like Nick always kind of like Nick is messy and people keep forgetting because they like him because he's funny it like he is a messy king he him voting for Huda florida the day she told him that she was a mom like I couldn't believe it you know so I do think
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's interested in Andrina.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_00]: And he's able to convince and talk to these guys.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Ace also didn't love Jeremiah.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so the second that Nick is like, Oh, I might not be interested in keeping Jeremiah.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: Ace is going to jump right on that.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be like, yes, and then together, the two of them, they can make these idiot guys do anything on earth.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_00]: They can get them to jump into the faggian waters off of the villa they want until.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: But I am just like, how is that going to be your reasoning for why you don't like Jeremiah and Huda or Jeremiah?
- 52:38[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to vote them off?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: When Taylor has only been exploring his connection with the Landria?
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_01]: And like, and pretty shitty about it.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's a generous statement to say he's been exploring his connection with her.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're together.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just like, I don't understand how that was the choice when like, I don't know, it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: Allandria keeps saying that she wants to be a farm girl with Taylor and my girl, I do not see that for you.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just do not see that for you.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: Such a hot country boy here.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, who did you say?
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, he's five million.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, he'll do not.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: When you get out of here, he's famous.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: And he doesn't even remember your name.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_00]: He does that sweet little cherries.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, no.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: I like actually can't think of him, but I'm just so glad.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: I saw this tweet of the guy who sat next to him on his flight home.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think I thought him all together.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like reached out to brands together.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_00]: So cute.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: I have like flying coach back.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: Because I did him not like even thinking to go set that stuff up.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: Literally.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_00]: It makes me like, I can even more.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also like, what do you mean you're not keeping him for after son?
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like Charlie got to stay.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: We love God.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: We love God.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's fucking passport for the show.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it hurts.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, talk you at the girls now.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: I was so worried.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: They were going to send a Maya, but by y'all.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I don't really didn't, but I don't really get it.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: So God, she's there, but I don't know that I understand.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted them to send Iris home.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_01]: That seemed like the easiest option to me.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because she, as far as I don't know how much because because she and Jeremiah Jeremiah is the only one who knows that she hissed TJ.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: Is that the bombshells name?
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, TJ.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: So for, as all, all they know is that she's in this couple with Jeremiah and they have no spark, no connections to me.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_01]: I would be like, okay, send her right.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: Because be right.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Amaya were close to.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_01]: She's a friend in the house and like maybe she lost an origin you in the exploring this connection where I was Jeremiah and Iris aren't.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hannah is like a she and Pepe are basically together.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and all these people are out here saying that obviously the girls sent Hannah homes that Huda could explore with Pepe, but I don't think the girls like Huda enough to do that for her.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I also even if they did, I don't think they're stupid enough to think that that's like a viable option.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: I know, because I also, I just really think, I mean, I don't know how much longer.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, get her to Casa.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_00]: Hood, I might have an opportunity in Casa.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm having a hard time watching her flirt.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's like kind of giving me a. When she, well, first, when she pulled Peppa and she was like, I saw a notice like you couldn't like take your eyes off me when they'd be getting all the same stuff.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just stopped this and then stopped it now.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: And especially when TJ told her that like he was getting more of a Potonic vibe and then she has to try to play as why.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_00]: For instance, why I just don't fuck with you or how about this?
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: I've watched all your antics.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I know you've been up jail in here.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm almost talking about how this show is a really interesting experience for people who were tens and all of their respective cities.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: To be worse into this, because I think that's probably used.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_00]: She used to go into conversation with a man at a bar or a club and not having to really, well, as she literally told us, she goes, I'm just used to guys like immediately being obsessed with me, some kind of confused why you're not.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, yeah, because I don't like it.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: And she says it was a pinch of a joke, but I'm like, no, I've been washing you.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_01]: I know this is, this is, you know, this is all you are.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, not the thing is like, we keep giving her opportunities to like be better.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is this is who she is.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she's continuing to double down and saying things, doing things.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was shady as fuck of her to pull Pepe after the whole Hannah thing.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then I wish you good Hannah talk about it.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she's like, oh my god, I feel like such a bitch.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_00]: I did not think there was going to be kissing at the end of the challenge.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: Girl, yes, you fucking did.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_00]: You watched it.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_03]: You watched it.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: You watched a bunch of people just go, like, don't tell me you didn't know.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then her whole thing with Jeremiah, I'm like, stop trying to like make out before he leaves.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he is not interested in you.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_00]: The way she's trying to make it like her storyline when Jeremiah gets eliminated.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: It just is, I'm like, okay, you know what?
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: One of them had to go.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: She is better TV than him.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he would have been boring to watch and cost that because he's so about Andrina right now.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_00]: So like she leaves and then he's there.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see him actually getting to know anybody.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe that was part of Nick and Ace's, you know, maybe I'm just really filled with complete relief that Amaya isn't gone.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then I said that would have been always perfect.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: That would have been way too hard to watch if she got sent home.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine?
- 57:21[SPEAKER_01]: And you see the message she left for Hannah and Hannah listening to it?
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_01]: She's so busy.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, my mom's.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, my mom's here.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if a Maya is going to find her partner on this show.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know if she's got the personality.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_00]: But what she does have is sisterhood.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: And she is great for the girls.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_00]: And when she's not afraid to hold people accountable, like the way she's at the hood, I think it was inappropriate of you to pull Pepe.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, good for her because it doesn't really, she doesn't strike me as someone who's going to do that.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_00]: with the girls.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_00]: She's gone.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_00]: Hannah isn't about her.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, she does.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_01]: She does.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: She does.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_01]: She.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: I just and I love her.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: She is so uncompromising and how she like she's like, I know I'm a lot.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_01]: I know I have a lot to give and sometimes the love that I have to give guys don't like, but there will be a guy who is like obsessed.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, so I'm not going to change it because I know there's someone who's going to love it.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_00]: And they also said, I really
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: And like she said, she never said that she was perfect.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like she's saying.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: And you mean like she said, oh no.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_00]: I will be your best friend.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think she said it.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think she meant it in like at least in my own house.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: I know she did.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: I know she did.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: I know she did.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know she did.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: How am I gonna get married?
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: How am I gonna get a wife?
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I just, I just absolutely love her.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: I love how she's there for her girls.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: She's kooky as fuck.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_00]: She's got a big heart.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's all it is.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's got a big heart and she's a little bit weird.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a lot of these people's stories, by the way.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the people on this show happen to be tens.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, by the way, weirdos.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: They all have to be weird to go on this show.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: To go on this show.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_01]: To go on this show.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, if you pass the psychological exam, you can't go on the show.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_01]: You have to fail it.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_01]: How do we not see Hurricane Hooda coming through on the exam?
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do not know.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I also, a lot of people were like, are starting to turn and be like, the girls, everyone's being so nasty behind her back and they're not having the same energy to her face.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about that.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because I saw the conversation between Sierra and Hooda, where she's like, look, I almost took behind Jaylin, like, you have to act different, or I'm not gonna be here for you.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, I just think we hadn't seen it yet, but it's not that they're not.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: gonna tell her but I also don't think she's like really a captive audience and also she's not she might not actually looking for this sisterhood but she's not she's one hundred oh what why would she why did they watch her back she's not watching yeah and the pulling pepper for a chat was proof of that
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, a hundred percent.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was crazy and I think really her only chance for finding someone who's going to be in casa.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, everyone's just like seen too much.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_00]: I just think unfortunately in this villa, they're going to be nervous to get in there.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the other thing about Hannah though is like,
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_00]: or crying or boo-hoo-ing.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_00]: I could not.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_00]: I was like this again.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_00]: This again, with you getting a little much, but I didn't bother me.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a little much, but I do think that if I went and I like solidify this connection with this guy, like I made a mistake and then I apologize for the mistake.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_01]: get into a good spot with my couple and we're good, we go into this recoupling being like we are good, like we've got each other like we're safe and then he gets sent home not by America by the house after they all watch them go through that experience and then she's able to like
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously in the house also sends me home.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and exactly right when this connection with Pepe is like getting.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's like right after you had your spit start, which I just want to say also poor Hannah getting her phone back and that's like the last footage we have of her.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: girl, what were you thinking with that?
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_00]: How are you going to work in corporate America?
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're fucking head under the covers if you're going to be doing that.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, thanks.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_00]: I also hears the other thing.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, we're fucking everyone's fucking in this island and afterwards relationships are done.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's very with Nick and Sierra.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_01]: What's crazy to me and I don't remember the ages of everybody last year, but we're getting into the Gen Z people on these shows.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's really showing a pattern and how specifically men move in the dating world.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_01]: Is that as soon as it that's physical.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, physicalities of requirement.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: We saw that with Nick and Bella.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know we're on Love Island, but I do think that's not forget.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's why he was immediately interested in Sierra because Sierra was willing to kiss him and do that stuff.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_01]: And Bella was a little slow of a start, which is like, again, I know it's the show.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: but it's also like, it had been a day or two.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can handle it, yeah.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then we see Nick and Sierra, Nick being weirded out now that like kind of like, ready for the next thing.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now that he's had such a Sierra.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_01]: And same with, I didn't really get that sense with Pepe and Hannah, but with Jeremiah.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_00]: But it also gives that idea, like, you know, the mom's law is tell ya.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_00]: well I buy the cow if you can get the milk for free and I think keeping a little bit of the especially in a game like this where there's a very little um physical stuff to be kept secret like it creates the allure there's something they haven't had yet and then once they've had it it's just like well I kind of have explored all you have to give me now crazy that's how they look at it and I also think
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it shows that even though like you can be as chill like I think Sierra has a certified cool girl certified chill girl.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can be as chill as you are and sex will still change things for you like the way that she she couldn't help but be bothered by some things after they have that connection whereas before she was not bothered by him flirting with other girls she had no problem saying she was open that he was open and now
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's changed it for her.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I liked how Ace was talking to Nick about it.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a really good conversation between them.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_00]: These are the moments that I really like Ace.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_00]: I really like Ace was Shelley.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: I like the way he treats her.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I want to talk a little bit about that.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_00]: But her camp came out and was like,
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: They do not fucking know each other.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: Her family came out and they were like, no, they're not Mary.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_00]: No, they don't have a kid.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_00]: No, they don't bend together forever.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the story they're telling is true because also as much as I could see Ace being a little shithead and like faking at the whole time.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_00]: I can't see that for sure.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_00]: I can't see it for Shelley.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think she can keep it up.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_00]: You're under twenty four hour surveillance and you're gonna pretend that whole.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't see her and who I want her to be.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see that that being a possibility for her.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: I really like them together.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_00]: I would be really happy if they won and I know that's not a popular opinion right now, but I hate that it's not like I think I won't show you the things that he's doing for her like That is really cute none of the other guys are doing a shit and if they are it's because Ace is helping them are telling them they need to like Ace is like guys it's time I do it for showing me his women I just wish and Austin's like good ho and he's like look what I'm doing just use your fucking imagination Austin should have been gone and how great it would have been for Taylor because Taylor was the one who got to say which guy was dumped
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: and obviously Austin voted for Taylor to be kicked out, didn't work, but how great what had been if Taylor was like an Austin or send it to you home, especially after Austin's been talking shit on a Maya to the guy's talking shit on his connection.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why would you not send him home?
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have a connection here, which I guess you can make the same case for a Maya, but I don't want to.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_01]: No, because Maya is awesome gives.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's in there for bro time.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: Maya is in there to find love genuinely.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_01]: Get her on the back right now.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_01]: She gives.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_01]: She gives like an early see.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, but don't hear me out.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_01]: Don't.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_01]: She gives early Bachelor Bachelor at when it was girls that genuinely were looking for a coalition for love.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that there's something about that show that felt more like love based, which is where Maya's coming out everything from.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_00]: Am I as also beautiful?
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like let's not say an awesome twin.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's not yeah, let's just count this.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: She is stunning like and she would genuinely be under me with her and I do not appreciate that she flat out asked Austin and and someone must have tip her off.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_00]: Someone must have because he had had that conversation saying that he was getting the egg it was like too much too soon.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever, which that's valid.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like I did think she was going a little bit hard with the baby and whatever.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_00]: But, how does it go to be honest?
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_00]: Behind her back, she asks you to your face.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, is anything I'm doing bothering you?
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_00]: Is me calling you baby too much?
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, no, it's like she learned from me.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and I just, I do think there's something to be said for sure.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: It might be too much for some guys.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but especially now that it's happened twice like I do think that it's just how she talks like I don't Yeah, I do I think the guys were reading too much into it when she calls them babe I think she calls everybody babe they just love being in the position where they can be like a fuck my girlfriend so bad like fuck this girl like I'll just I'll just get the next one like that.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: They love being in this position.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_01]: I really the men's and I noticed I clocked it as soon as Austin pulled a Maya
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I was like he just wants to stay in another week.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, a hundred percent I will say the cost of guys do look pretty hot So I'm I'm glad I feel like sometimes it's hit or mess with those guys and they bring them in and it's like really that's what you're giving our girls saw a few hoties the girls are obviously gorgeous One thing I just need to say like can you imagine the stress of being the person running the social media account for someone on these shows like Imagine being the person running photos Instagram account
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_00]: And you're trying to clear out shovel out those comments.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_00]: Get those hate comments out of there before she and last night every night you're terrified every night your terrified she'll get eliminated and she'll get our phone back so you have to be on and it around the clock partially feel like you're the one getting the hate.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, it would also, I mean, just imagine, I imagine if it were like, okay, let's say you were in the villa.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I am running your Instagram.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_00]: And people hate you.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_00]: You are the most hated person in America in the world, okay?
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone's like, we hate her.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_00]: I know what that looks like.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_00]: That was us last April.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right.
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_00]: That was us on April.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, everyone is coming to your comments and they're like, you aren't even cute or nice.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're being so nasty to you.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, everybody comes in and they're like, pretty girl hit on her.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty girl hit on her.
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, they're like, okay, we have to get her out of here.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's the prettiest hottest girl here.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_00]: She's the nicest girl here.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_00]: She's the funniest girl here.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_00]: And she's already famous.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_00]: Sherry has an award-winning podcast.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: We cannot let her stay here.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_00]: She will take all the men.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, every single man who comes in here is going to be like, can I be coupled up with Phoebe?
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it's never happened before, but they pushed all the beds together.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_00]: So Phoebe could be in a couple with Chen guys.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone used to think she was a slut back home on Reddit.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_00]: On Reddit, people were like, oh, well, we know she's a slut.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever listened to the pretty little podcast for sister outed her for being a splinter first?
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_00]: What years ago?
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_00]: I imagine I'm manning.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, I'm fighting back.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, I'm in the comments.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm lying.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like video chatting these people.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_00]: Finding their numbers, cold face timing.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know if I can give you this job.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_01]: But let's just say that.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say that I'm a little bit more normal.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think your therapist would ask me not to.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think she'd find my email.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_01]: She'd find my agent email and be like, hey girl, I heard you're doing it.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_00]: My therapist calls Ariana Maddox.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, can we assign somebody else?
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_00]: And no, not Georgia, Conno, either.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you know, it's like, you know
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_00]: When you're like the whole room is filling with water or something and you have like a shovel and you're trying to like get a little bit of water out one by one, but they just keep coming.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it would be like.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like imagine being because I was going through hood as common.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_00]: See other day after Ariana had her moment on offer somewhere.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_00]: She was like enough with the hate.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's still time for you guys to delete everything that you wrote.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_00]: I went and looked, and I'm having a hard time finding a lot of her hate on her page.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_00]: She's like the little Barbie doll of love Island.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_00]: I hope she does this every year for the rest of her life.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_00]: Because first of all, it's been the summer on Fiji.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_00]: How amazing.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_00]: She deserves it.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_00]: But she looks so good.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_00]: And her outfits are so good.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like a little pop-up.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_00]: I love, I mean, the megg, oh my god.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_00]: When megg came in, like I was obsessed, but I do need to say, like,
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_00]: And this is, I gotta be approved for as I got it.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_00]: Girls, what aren't, do you have anything on underneath your panties underneath your bikini?
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's because the twerking challenge.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure how everyone in Avela has not seen your full bottle and vagina.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I don't know.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_01]: What is so, like, and listen, guys, there are very few reasons me and Caroline wouldn't go on the violent.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right, like I can barely think of one.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_01]: But let's just say, for example, I'm someone who isn't particularly talented in not arena.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_00]: I did want to know how they chose who worked because everybody didn't, you know, like Hannah escaped that one.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, good for you.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Because I would have been like, I will not be twerking.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Not in front of America either.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Not in front of the camera.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's like between my ass.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 1:10:47[SPEAKER_01]: Getting to courtesy in front of the Queen of England.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you couldn't trigger when I used Aliens, it's like, you might as well go somewhere with a fish.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say, you're out of here.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: You're out of here.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm walking out.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'm walking out of the villa, villa because I can't work.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's stupid.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I should have known.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely should have practiced my working before I got here.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_00]: I knew I was forgetting something.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_00]: No, I thought I had that exact thought, and I was like, interesting the girls we didn't see twerking.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_01]: I want to know how we decided that.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think on the girls side of things, we definitely had volunteers.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think we definitely had some hand breaks.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know Hoda's hand was up so high and so fast, and for good reason, and I mean, she's gifted.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing is, I heard, and this I'd be wrong, so can somebody educate me if I'm wrong.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_00]: But Amber told me that they're not allowed to have razors in the villa.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry, we got to get graphic here for a second.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_00]: How are they grooming?
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because you cannot tell me that you are all day in front of cameras, cross-legged, in a bikini, and you're not allowed to have razors.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_00]: And here's the deal.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_00]: If you're waxing, first of all, there needs to be someone who can wax you.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_00]: But you have to, sorry, TMI, you have to have a certain amount of hair to be able to wax.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_00]: So like if you go in for a wax and you don't have I think it's like a quarter inch of hair like they won't do it because it'll just like rip your skin off.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that's it's it grows back slower than when you're shaving, but it's still gonna be growing back to the point that I'm not allowing a camera inside my asshole.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's like I got a wax three weeks ago like that's that's not too far away.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the other thing is, after you do acts, you're not supposed to wear tight fit and clothing.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_00]: You're not supposed to like sweat.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're not supposed to definitely have sex or anything like wear your private.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_00]: So be rubbing against anything.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I know this because when I got my first wax ever, I was in cabaret of musical.
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I had to wear lingerie, that night, and go dancing in the glee of tart and tights.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_00]: And let me tell you, not comfortable, not comfortable after that.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the other thing, is like, even if you do have access to razors and you're shaving every day, what about the razor burn?
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_00]: What about the in-growns?
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know?
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I just don't really... And I'm sorry, is your asshole bleached?
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, is your asshole bleached?
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_00]: Because these are the questions I'm asking.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_00]: You have no acne on your butt.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_00]: You're in the swamp, basically.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't get it.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you're sitting around and like these tight fitting bathing suits all day long.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_01]: Once we get her out of the villa, out of the villa, we're getting her out of task.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're asking these questions.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, don't listen to any of our other episodes.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Don't listen to any of our episodes, but get on here and explain.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm with you.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just curious, like how you guys are so comfortable too.
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_00]: You must be so confident that you were so thrilled.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_01]: It was like me and my friend if we were on the violin.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, with all the pillows with the towels.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm constantly wondering why they're not doing that.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_01]: You guys have access to so many pillows.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you're sitting here
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_01]: cross like a deer literally put a pillow there.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Phoebe you have to go out of the pool and I'm like I'm good and like but I put him playing mermaid.
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love it here.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_00]: I have George Washington here, see.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm actually where Rob was last season when he went to hide from everybody under me.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's where I am at a connection.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_00]: You can't make a connection, my guys can come to me.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know where to find me.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you see at my hand, come over and I'm writing backwards and Sharpie, Caroline's under here.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_00]: If anybody wants to put me for a chat, come on down.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_00]: The orange backwards.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I'm sorry to talk so much about grooming your private parts but like
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_00]: I'm wondering because especially if they're not allowed to have razors in there.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Which does make sense.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_00]: And when I thought about it more, I was like, well, thank God.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because, sorry.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_00]: It would be so dangerous.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_00]: It would be so imagine.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these people aren't with it.
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if like, this is also crazy.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_01]: Do they, does they, I also read that they get like a Wednesday, their Wednesdays or no filming, no cameras.
- 1:14:55[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if they have like a supervised time where someone's like in the bathroom and they are taking a shower.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_00]: I was wondering that too because they also have to be shaving their armpits in their legs.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_00]: So like, they have to have razors.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I wonder if they're like, I know you can go to shave this whole razor conversation around just like, not really.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_01]: Not really.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm really talking to the twerking challenge and I'm also wondering about the bot hole.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm sorry, but I'm wondering what the whole thing is.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's just,
- 1:15:26[SPEAKER_00]: It would keep me from wanting to work on Reg of the Zalian.
- 1:15:30[SPEAKER_00]: I would be like, I'd be like checking my, I'd be like, no, I would, I would not be like them.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even have that much alcohol.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, and I, that is, I do consistently come back to and it's not a matter of like,
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_01]: You'll see people comment about how like reasons they couldn't do low violent and they're like only two drinks and people will comment and be like wow Wow, you need alcohol that bad and it's like well to be on the vinyl but that is a to be yeah I I've like never had a drink in my life, but if I'm on the violin I'm full I'm full and drinking it like it's water like I'm like keep it coming I can just black out every day because in order single moment of every day in order to be that comfortable in front of men not early in the morning all day on the beach and so on
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_01]: I need to be a couple drinks in before the sun's up.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and then out in the pressure of you also know your mom and dad are watching and also like I need to be likable.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_00]: I need to perform.
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, exactly.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, no.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_00]: And that's also why I don't think Shelley and Ace could be faking this because you would have to be performing a hundred percent of the time.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_00]: And like I just, I think Shelley's too real for that.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_00]: I just really do.
- 1:16:35[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see them win.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_00]: I really would.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_00]: That was a riveting, amazing conversation about Love Island.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let's quickly talk about next gen for a second.
- 1:16:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I watched.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_00]: What happened last?
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you did it.
- 1:16:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it was the standoff between Riley and Charlie and then into the party at GAs.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes, I did watch.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_00]: And Charlie is basically like a Charlie.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I didn't mean my apology.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, because this is where I was texting Caroline.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe he's twenty nine.
- 1:17:03[SPEAKER_01]: I could not actually believe that in front of a camera.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_01]: He went and have this conversation with Georgia where he said why said I was sorry.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't mean I am sorry.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I know I could not believe in here's the other thing.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've got Riley who is a woman of color and she's here talking about how
- 1:17:20[SPEAKER_00]: She's feeling the impact of the microaggressions that her friends aren't.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_00]: When Georgia says the thing about her being scary, I was like, are you fucking kidding me?
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is Riley didn't even say anything to you that.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_01]: She seems scary in that whole interaction.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it was the whole like you're the one not washing your hands, but Riley's the scary one because she doesn't want to shake your hand like okay, and she said it in the most like timid She said it in the nicest fucking way she was just like I'm just struggling because I feel like you guys like I'm a black girl.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know when she was like she didn't say it in like a super overtly nice way, but she said it in a way that's like when you first meet someone it's kind of a way to joke.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's like I know if I want to shake your hand
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_01]: And right, totally.
- 1:18:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's like totally.
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then when she talked to Charlie about it, right, she wasn't trying to like, she was not trying to start a fight.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_00]: She was and the other thing is because she's somebody who has to think about and has to deal with these microaggressions and being called scary and aggressive, probably has her whole life because of.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she is.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_00]: aware of that.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when she's entering conversations where she might have to have some sort of a confrontation, she's still got that in the back of her head.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that's still probably informing the way she approaches us, especially knowing that it's on television.
- 1:18:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I really felt like Charlie's inability.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was like the second that race was brought into it, who's like, I'm not doing this.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, hey, you don't get to decide.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's actually not up to you.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_01]: And I feel like the conversation where you should care more because you should care more.
- 1:18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, well, I don't, I obviously don't know what I don't know.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_01]: If someone like, I don't like that you called me scary.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a white person to a white person.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, you can kind of maybe realize at the conversation.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously, that's not how I would handle it.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be like, oh, my God, I'm so sorry.
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_00]: But like, but also, if you're saying it to a person of color and they say to you, hey, I know you might not understand the implications of what you just said to me, but I'm laying it out for you now.
- 1:19:13[SPEAKER_00]: It actually does not matter what you thought you said, what you thought you meant.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you don't tell you made her feel like it's at this moment.
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_00]: All there is for you to do, Charlie, it's to say, I am so sorry.
- 1:19:27[SPEAKER_00]: I will be better.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_00]: I did not realize how that was coming on.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm embarrassed.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't have to be in such a kind way.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's not your job.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it really should not have to be your job to educate me on how to speak to you.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I appreciate you taking the time because you care about our friendship, obviously, and you don't want to just write me off.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_00]: You want to continue a friendship with me, but you want me to be a good friend.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_00]: And you want me to be better.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to be better.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to be a good friend of you.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_00]: And our friendship matters.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_00]: So if I hurt your feelings in any way, it doesn't matter if I do think it's ridiculous.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_00]: And that's that.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then you don't turn around and say, and I didn't mean my apology.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just really did that conversation.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_00]: He is disgusting.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I was dying at the very end of the episode.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's like rolling a joint or something in his apartment, which is so funny because I keep forgetting that weed is totally legal in New York.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_00]: So they're allowed to just like, it's the smoke part of it.
- 1:20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, obviously, all these people are so rich.
- 1:20:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like, obviously, it's different from Vanderpump and not way, but this period of life that we're catching them in is giving early days Vanderpump of life.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:20:30[SPEAKER_01]: like they are like what I think it was what I don't remember who went over but they went over to Charlie's house and they were just like pounding bottles of white wine and they were like oyster by bus server I know I know I was dying at that I was like oh okay no I know they're like but I'm almost like Charlie your twenty nine exactly as the still who you were like you know do you remember when Stasi and Jax broke up and they go over to Jackson they're like getting ready to clean up and they drink all of his yes move or something
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's like okay, well, Stasi was twenty three twenty two right exactly exactly this was just so I just think he is such a Terrible and he says to the camera guys as he's there and he's rolling this joint he's like hey and by the way like
- 1:21:20[SPEAKER_00]: If my apartment looks like super sloppy or you see like, you know, shit, I just don't want people to see like weed everywhere.
- 1:21:25[SPEAKER_00]: I just think like, all he does is rule joints.
- 1:21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's something nobody should clean up at all.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_00]: And then the editors go and they show all these shots of his disgusting apartment with like the credit card on the table.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_00]: The tons of like weed and different little zip lock baddies all over the place.
- 1:21:41[SPEAKER_00]: His disgusting plates out like they literally, you can just tell how they feel about Charlie because instead of saying, yeah, you should clean up.
- 1:21:47[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, no, no, it's fine.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: They got all the b-roll, and then they put it into the show.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_01]: While he's saying he's disgusting and honestly, another season of him might, obviously, I know he's good TV, but I'm like, is he?
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_00]: What are we on three episodes so far?
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'll have to see how this, how this progresses.
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to remember, like, obviously, I think Tom, Tom and Jacks are deplorable people, but like, and that's what brought those in the business.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of Jack's return to the valley was absolutely abhorrent.
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually really, I can't even talk about like he really is because it feels too dark to be showing us.
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like what he's done to Bernie financially, he should go to jail.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like it actually, and I'm pretty sure.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:22:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I do believe that it has come out that he was not actually in a rehab facility that it was like he was there for like seventy two hours and then he left.
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_01]: It is, in the fact that that poor kid, the poor child, the fact that he started.
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't even gotten to see my kid and the fact that Britney's like, I've had jacks on block since Wednesday.
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_00]: We've got out.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_00]: He has not texted me one time for trying to see his kid.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is how you know he's so.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fucked in the head.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry to say because him being on reality TV has warped his mind so much that he's like, well, I'm just gonna say this on camera and he and his brain thinks he's such a The he still thinks he's a number of times the group.
- 1:23:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's like people are gonna feel so bad and he As soon as he gets in the car when Jesse comes to pick him up and he is immediately like no one even came to visit me
- 1:23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I was here for you.
- 1:23:27[SPEAKER_01]: I knew that when one came to visit me and then I ate the money out of me.
- 1:23:31[SPEAKER_01]: This Brits thing.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_01]: Jackson, they put a tarp over the name for four hours.
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_00]: First one night.
- 1:23:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, that's what you do when your friends and rehab you celebrate.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, when you do.
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_00]: When you do the shit that you did to Brittany, when you put her and your your son's life in danger.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_00]: And now you continue to lie about what's wrong with you.
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_00]: Stop saying that drugs and alcohol are not your issue that angers your issue.
- 1:23:55[SPEAKER_00]: You have a substance abuse problem.
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps that was triggered by an anger issue and you were using it to cope.
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_00]: In vice versa.
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:24:03[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen you not angry.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's a big site, but I also think a person like that, and that means cocaine, make you anger.
- 1:24:10[SPEAKER_00]: That is what they do.
- 1:24:11[SPEAKER_00]: And there are people who have disorders like bipolar disorder, people who even just have anger are prone to anger, who don't need to be using substances that exacerbate that.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, you're one of those people.
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_00]: And you can't play dumb because we've been watching it for your entire life.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this is, it's too much.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, I'm angry with Jacks, but I expect this, it's nothing shocking to me.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like, even the stuff for the shocking, it's like still like, but I just like, well, came back at Britney's whole arc.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_01]: And like Lisa being like, if you fuck with her, like, like,
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just, I think everybody who's watched Vander from probably feels a level of protection over her and it's been so devastating to watch him, so latches out of that situation, but something that makes me almost angrier is the way that this friend group is reacting.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 1:25:03[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, what Michelle says, every time she has the opportunity, which is that she thinks she's going through something worse than what Britney's going.
- 1:25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Michelle, how can you even say, I understand Jessie might be a psychopath?
- 1:25:14[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to point out,
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_00]: You chose to leave that marriage.
- 1:25:19[SPEAKER_00]: You found somebody else.
- 1:25:20[SPEAKER_00]: You met somebody else.
- 1:25:21[SPEAKER_00]: You cheated on him.
- 1:25:22[SPEAKER_00]: You left the marriage.
- 1:25:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 1:25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Brittany didn't like make the choice to leave her marriage because she fell out of love with her husband.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_00]: He isn't rehab.
- 1:25:31[SPEAKER_00]: He threw things at her fucking kid.
- 1:25:33[SPEAKER_00]: We've been seeing this forever.
- 1:25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like he fucked up their finances.
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like everything that you're saying, Jesse did to you.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Jacks did and then some.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then a lot more, you know, and again, Brittany still has these moments where she has like, or stand by my man moments.
- 1:25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Michelle, you hate Jesse's guts in the whole front group knows that.
- 1:25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:25:51[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, they didn't throw you a party when, like, for your last night of freedom because your husband who has now left you in financial ruin is coming back and is expecting to be in your front group.
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And now and the other thing is he's had these three weeks where she hasn't had to pick up the pieces because everything's on pause.
- 1:26:10[SPEAKER_01]: Her whole life is about to be in shambles tomorrow, myself.
- 1:26:13[SPEAKER_01]: And you're sitting there in the corner being like, I can't believe my friends would do this.
- 1:26:17[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:26:18[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going through it for me.
- 1:26:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going through much worse than her.
- 1:26:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's like also way to be a friend of Brittany by even saying, yeah, that's so crazy.
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry.
- 1:26:25[SPEAKER_00]: I know Jessie's making your life hard.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he is making this as difficult for you as possible.
- 1:26:29[SPEAKER_00]: And he is a total asshole, like a hundred percent.
- 1:26:32[SPEAKER_00]: However, you are in a relationship now with somebody that you're very happy with.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's great as a Bella.
- 1:26:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're not in full financial ruin to my knowledge.
- 1:26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like it seems like you guys are okay.
- 1:26:45[SPEAKER_00]: And you've got sort of this like exit plan.
- 1:26:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like you have and their co-parentity has does not exactly.
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_00]: Jackson is not going to be if you're not going to have a parent with him.
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_00]: And Jack, especially if Jack says in a rehab facility, like in a real rehab facility, he wouldn't be able to be texting or he wouldn't be able to be leaving the rehab facility to come, take the covers off of the cameras so he can watch, bring it in their home.
- 1:27:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the same at all.
- 1:27:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I do not appreciate the whole friend group is like rallying around Jack's the way that I'm sorry, but it speaks so much to Jason and Janet's character that they're able to stand by Jack's through this.
- 1:27:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like I can't stand them.
- 1:27:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I also in the offer show.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_00]: Janet and Jason are both saying our parents like watched this and they were talking about oh we feel so bad for your child who's going to have to see that like their father took off his wedding band when he went out and like it's so damaging and so terrible that like she's like our families have seen that like what that's not anemic and you don't think that you coming on here and saying that Danny who has four kids basically three and a half four
- 1:27:46[SPEAKER_00]: that you think he has a substance abuse problem, plain as day on national television.
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_00]: You don't think that's more damaging than somebody saying, I heard Jason and you can take off his wedding ban.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_01]: the the conference when they had that first dinner with jacks after he gets back and it turns into let's all pile on Danny about how he's an alcoholic it's crazy it's I'm not also wrap my head around it the conversation that Danny had at the brits party I was like he does sound his speeches little slurred yeah but like what he was saying wasn't
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_01]: wrong.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was no joke.
- 1:28:21[SPEAKER_00]: I did any Janet like you are a bit sorry.
- 1:28:24[SPEAKER_00]: I really I cannot stand her and no wonder Nia's trying to get him out of there when he starts acting like that.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's the appropriate thing.
- 1:28:33[SPEAKER_01]: I know that they're turning it into this thing of like Nia doesn't want us to see him like that because she knows he's an alcoholic and is wasted and she's trying to keep this perfect picture up.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm like
- 1:28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe also, she doesn't want him to keep opening his mouth.
- 1:28:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys get more ammunition of your alert.
- 1:28:46[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys can't keep building this case.
- 1:28:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think I don't buy that he's an alcoholic in the way that they're trying to make their think he is now.
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think maybe he sometimes has a little bit too much to drink, but I'm sorry in this group.
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_00]: that just feels like a wild accusation when you all drink like fish.
- 1:29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like we are watching you drink so much you all own bars you're all in this one guy is in rehab and he's not really and you're not holding him to the same standard that you're holding Danny to.
- 1:29:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's out of control and I think that also there's probably a part of Nia that's like let me get Danny out of the situations that he stops offending people.
- 1:29:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want Janet's feelings to be hurt.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know by him calling her a snake and those kind of things like
- 1:29:23[SPEAKER_00]: But then when Janet and Nia have their conversation at Zach's party at Jesse's, I couldn't, I want, I was like, Nia, you are a better woman than me.
- 1:29:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would have been on my feet physical with Janet, when she's like, okay, I'm done here.
- 1:29:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God.
- 1:29:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's so annoying.
- 1:29:40[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't believe in Nia let her walk away.
- 1:29:43[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't clock to her that she should be standing on business.
- 1:29:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's not clocking to you that I am standing on business.
- 1:29:48[SPEAKER_01]: Because she as soon as things get hard in a conversation about something that she's, she's, she's instigated.
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_01]: She's like, I'm not doing this for you.
- 1:29:56[SPEAKER_01]: She gets your little Karen face.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like, J, you are a fucking Karen.
- 1:29:59[SPEAKER_01]: You are.
- 1:30:00[SPEAKER_01]: If, if it is special, if you were such a good friend, Nia, and you genuinely believed Danny had a substance abuse issue in a way that was like a well-meaning, or no, no, no.
- 1:30:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's how she should be acting.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_01]: As a friend, if you have a concern that your friend's husband has a drinking problem that has like put him in all these positions that you guys are saying he's been so dark side Danny, like if you think that's genuine concern you have, then why are you using it?
- 1:30:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're leveraging it like it's this weapon to be held against Danny and Nia and it's really ugly and it's like it's just Janet wants to be seen as this like good friend who's looking out for everybody and she's just not.
- 1:30:40[SPEAKER_01]: She is, oh, I can't stand.
- 1:30:43[SPEAKER_01]: She is almost unwatchable, in my opinion.
- 1:30:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's not an enjoyable kind of pot stream, which is who Kristen Dodie is and has always been.
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Also because Kristen Dodie can take it.
- 1:30:54[SPEAKER_01]: Janet and Jason cannot take it the way that they expect everybody else to.
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_01]: And the, obviously, the idea of him taking his wedding ring, that's a pretty significant accusation, but like,
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_01]: so as being an alcoholic to a data for a national TV.
- 1:31:12[SPEAKER_01]: And doubling down on it consistently.
- 1:31:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:31:16[SPEAKER_01]: Should we get into our rotations?
- 1:31:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember what I'm on.
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what you're on?
- 1:31:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, perfect.
- 1:31:24[SPEAKER_01]: My dream rotation is the Heim sisters.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_01]: All three of them.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 1:31:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:31:30[SPEAKER_00]: That was easy.
- 1:31:31[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the album's great.
- 1:31:33[SPEAKER_00]: My nightmare rotation is the three worst white boys of the moment, Charlie from next gen, Austin from Love Island, and Jack's Taylor from the Valley.
