  [SPEAKER_00]: They acquired Jacobi Myers from the Las Vegas Raiders for a fourth round pick in a six round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It did not make another trade despite being rumored and reported to be heavily interested in bolstering their defense, specifically, most of the mentions were of them potentially adding a defensive line in a defensive front player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the Jack Wars did make a necessary move in adding a Jacobi Myers in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So it seems like the Jags will probably see him in a couple of weeks when the Jag was taking on the Chargers in Jacksonville, but looking at what the Jag wars did here today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a big move for the Jaguars, and that's a serious move, not only because they're injured at wide receiver, but also because even when they get fully healthy at receiver with B2J and Travis Hunter, seemingly expect, I mean B2J definitely expected to be back, sounds like Travis Hunter, should be back as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: didn't get get that past refresher and it was reported and rumored that the jag wars were looking for a you know interior defensive linemen past refresher whatever it may be to bolster that defense and i would have loved to have seen that i wanted them to go get somebody and and you know we can pull it up just to make sure nothing's changed in the last few minutes no

  [SPEAKER_00]: If a team signed him or traded for him to become their number one receiver for an extended period of time, I could see like some eyebrows being raised or like, you know, if you traded a ton of draft capital for him, which the Jaguars did not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They also gave up six round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have another six round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They still have a fourth and six round pick after making that trade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They still have a ton of picks outside of the first round line next year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So not a lot of capital for the Jaguars, relatively speaking, and he will not be asked to go be this dominant X number one receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He'll be asked to fit in with the offense, make plays when they're there to be made.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But even if the Jaguar is added a past rush or someone else on defense, there are a couple of things that they need really, yeah, a couple of things that they need to be able to accomplish over the next nine weeks for them to reach their goals.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They need to stop beating themselves, and there's a couple of ways that, in my opinion, they really need to stop beating themselves.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Patrick McCary has gotten called for holding.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think more than anyone in the league this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the pre-snap alignment issues remain a killer for the jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the drops, the jaguars lead the league and drops.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They've led the league and drops since, you know, as long as I can remember, they've been horrible with the drops.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's again, another reason why Jacobi Myers makes so much sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He does the things well that the jaguars receivers have not done well this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That would have been true regardless of whether they added a past Russia or another defensive player or not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, no matter how far you go, you're gonna end up beating yourself at some point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter, Brian Thomas Jr., Devon Lloyd, Jordan Lewis, Eric Murray, Trayvon Walker, still not the Trayvon Walker you expect to see, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they've been banged up on the offensive line as well a little bit on the interior.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have drops here and there, but stop leading the league in both of those categories and get to like, you know, maybe below average or average and you're going to give yourself a much better chance to win games.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be tough to beat, but I think if the jag wars don't beat themselves and they get healthy, they can absolutely hang with and potentially beat the cults.
