- 0:47Speaker 3: What, I know what I uh.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I don't have my uh my beard anymore because an
- 0:55Speaker 1: unfortunate knife accident.

- 1:24Speaker 1: look like now. Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Oh no, I don't have the beard.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I cut it for a Halloween costume that we did yesterday.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, what was what was the cost of Peter
- 1:39Speaker 2: Peter Griffin?
- 1:43Speaker 3: Wow? Wow, listen, listen listen.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I know how slimming a beard can be. Okay, I know,
- 1:52Speaker 2: trust me, I know.
- 1:53Speaker 1: There's a picture of my wife and I as as
- 1:56Speaker 1: Beetle Juice and.
- 1:59Speaker 2: What I thought you were Doc Brown.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Wow.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Wow, Lydia, Lydia Beetlejuice and Lydia in in the wedding outfits.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Nice, that's really cool.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You know what I just realized that beetlejuicees wedding costume
- 2:16Speaker 2: is this is the same as Vincent LaGuardia Gambini's courtroom tuxio.
- 2:27Speaker 3: To you, to you.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I saw a T shirt recently and it said Vincent
- 2:36Speaker 2: LaGuardia Gambini Attorney, Attorney at law. But it was like
- 2:40Speaker 2: the same type of fancy font that you would see
- 2:42Speaker 2: on an actual lawyer's business card.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Oh nice, My biological clock is ticking.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That's a that's a great That's still a great moment.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Is it really is?
- 2:57Speaker 4: I can't wait for them to make that a musical,
- 2:58Speaker 4: just like they did Beatle Juice.
- 3:00Speaker 2: God.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Welcome to My Cousin Vinny's cast.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, the Courtroom's most unpredictable My Cousin Vinnie podcast.
- 3:11Speaker 4: That's right, that's right. So is there even Cousin Vinnie
- 3:15Speaker 4: podcast at all?
- 3:16Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. I'm gonna find out
- 3:18Speaker 2: there might about me soon fifty six minutes. I'm gonna
- 3:21Speaker 2: look it up.
- 3:22Speaker 4: There you go, there you go.
- 3:24Speaker 1: So don't worry everybody. Don't worry everybody. I'm still on
- 3:28Speaker 1: the show. This will grow back, I promise. So it's okay,
- 3:34Speaker 1: all right, I might shave it again. There's a possibility
- 3:38Speaker 1: that for one of the comic Con days we might
- 3:41Speaker 1: do the same thing. So okay, I might have I
- 3:45Speaker 1: might have to shave it again. Oh no, but it
- 3:49Speaker 1: grows fast, it grows fast.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Don't worry, Dan, I don't worry.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I know that I know that this beard is what's
- 3:58Speaker 1: holding the show together.
- 3:59Speaker 2: So wow, I thought it was my wit. But anyway, I.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Know there's a joke there somewhere.
- 4:10Speaker 2: About it's equal parts my wit, Dan's, Daniel's technical prowess
- 4:17Speaker 2: and bear.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, there's there's a jokes. There's a joke there
- 4:25Speaker 3: somewhere somewhere.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Someone will find it right to us.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yes, yeah. Anyways, other than shaving beards, how you guys doing.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I have been to multiple trunk or treats, and uh,
- 4:43Speaker 2: it's getting a little old.
- 4:47Speaker 3: A little trunk it was a Halloween.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Trunk or trunk or treat is when uh, you know,
- 4:54Speaker 2: an organization gets together and they they They organized basically
- 4:58Speaker 2: a party in a parking lot for kids to trick
- 5:00Speaker 2: or treat. But you back the cars up, you open
- 5:03Speaker 2: the trunk, everybody decorates the back of their trunk, and
- 5:06Speaker 2: you go from car to cards that a house to house.
- 5:08Speaker 4: You want to teach them to hang out in parking
- 5:10Speaker 4: lots early.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yes, that's yes, that's it.
- 5:12Speaker 3: And exchange goods and services.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Right, that's right, getting used to meeting strangers for goods.
- 5:20Speaker 4: You want to start that early.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fun. We didn't even marketplace and training.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah right, we didn't even know it was Halloween. I
- 5:26Speaker 3: mean this.
- 5:27Speaker 1: We just dressed up just for the heck of it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That's something we do on Saturday nights sometimes.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Nice. We renewed our vows.
- 5:34Speaker 2: All right, cool, very good, very good?
- 5:39Speaker 4: All right, Well, should we get to the news.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Sure is there any I thought me shaving my beard
- 5:45Speaker 1: was the news.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That's true, that that was the bad news.
- 5:49Speaker 3: That was the bad news.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Start trick news, star trek news.
- 5:56Speaker 4: All right, So our first news story comes from trekmovie
- 5:59Speaker 4: dot and it is some sad news. This has been
- 6:03Speaker 4: making the way around the internet, so we should probably
- 6:06Speaker 4: start with this. Voyager co creator Jerry Taylor has passed away.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah she Yeah, she was eighty six years old. I
- 6:16Speaker 4: mean nominated writer and producer. Yeah, she did work on Voyager.
- 6:20Speaker 4: She was the executive producer and showrunner for quite a
- 6:23Speaker 4: bit of time. So yeah, you know, big impact she
- 6:27Speaker 4: had in Star Trek franchise.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I mean her name's right up there with
- 6:32Speaker 1: you know, Michael Pillar, Rick Berman.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I mean she was, she was huge in this franchise.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Yeah, she also has fourteen writing credits. She wrote fourteen
- 6:42Speaker 4: episodes for sure, so you know, that's not to say
- 6:45Speaker 4: she didn't have input in others, but the overall she
- 6:48Speaker 4: she has fourteen of them. So yeah, she was also
- 6:50Speaker 4: a fixed at STLV, So yeah, she will be missed.
- 6:55Speaker 4: She had, you know, a beloved show right like love Voyager,
- 7:01Speaker 4: and she had a big hand in it. So yeah, oh,
- 7:08Speaker 4: Jess says, yes, she will be missed. Yeah, absolutely, Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw I've seen over the years, I've seen
- 7:14Speaker 1: you know, a few interviews with her, and it was
- 7:17Speaker 1: it was obvious she was she was passionate, she was knowledgeable,
- 7:20Speaker 1: she was talented. So yeah, she she loved Star Trek,
- 7:26Speaker 1: she loved Voyager, and by all accounts, everybody loved her too.
- 7:30Speaker 4: So yeah, well, speaking of passionate and talented, I thought
- 7:36Speaker 4: i'd sneak the center real quick. Katie Sakoff aka Bocaton
- 7:40Speaker 4: Starbuck herself. Recently, she did interview with Jonathan Brakes on
- 7:45Speaker 4: her podcast and she let it slip that she wants
- 7:48Speaker 4: to be a part of Star Trek, and so Jonathan
- 7:52Speaker 4: Briank said, hey, that's cool. In fact, I have a
- 7:55Speaker 4: pitch for you, and he says, why not have her
- 7:59Speaker 4: part of an out of me as a guest instructor
- 8:02Speaker 4: for an episode? And he said that he would pitch
- 8:05Speaker 4: it to the writers and see if they can get
- 8:06Speaker 4: her on.
- 8:07Speaker 2: So here's what I want to know. Yeah, excuse me sorry.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Would would she be the first to pull the hat trick?
- 8:15Speaker 2: She says, it would be her hat trick. Yeah, Star Trek,
- 8:18Speaker 2: Star Trek, Star Wars, and Battlestar Battle Star.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's quite the hat trick.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So I think I speak for all of us in
- 8:27Speaker 1: Star Trek fans anywhere everywhere where. I say we welcome
- 8:30Speaker 1: her with open arms.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah yep.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and she can bring the Dark Saver too, because
- 8:35Speaker 4: that'd be kind of cool.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yes, bring the Dark sab bring it on. Over.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Don't explain it, just it shows up.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Just show Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Well she has experienced fighting cybernetic you know, foes.
- 8:47Speaker 4: So yeah, she can take on the board.
- 8:49Speaker 2: It'll be great.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Absolutely. Yeah.
- 8:51Speaker 4: I do like the idea of just like guest instructors
- 8:53Speaker 4: and academy just randomly just get all those guest spots.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Oh, that would be great.
- 9:01Speaker 2: You know what, Dan Daniel, you got to go to
- 9:03Speaker 2: Big Lots tomorrow, find Dennis Franz to make it happen.
- 9:09Speaker 4: It's not like it's like bagging groceries a Big Lots
- 9:12Speaker 4: every well, you made it sound like that, I know
- 9:14Speaker 4: that's right.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yeah, random guest star, you know, Danny DeVito, Yeah, Bobcat, Waltergate.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Just random.
- 9:26Speaker 4: It'd be even funnier if it's like the same teacher everything,
- 9:29Speaker 4: like the random new gym teacher or something.
- 9:31Speaker 2: You know, right right, wasn't wasn't what's his name the
- 9:38Speaker 2: e m H. Wasn't he the gym teacher on The
- 9:41Speaker 2: Wonder Years Robert Riccardo.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I specifically remember the episode where he was
- 9:48Speaker 1: teaching sex said and he drew a picture of on
- 9:52Speaker 1: the on the board, a picture of a uterus. Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and all the kids were like excited, like.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Oh, what's we want to see?
- 10:00Speaker 1: This picture of a naked lady.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Shows the dirty pictures, that's right.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And he draws this the rudimentary yeah, like very bad
- 10:12Speaker 1: ride of like you know, the feed right on the chogboard.
- 10:17Speaker 4: So yeah, okay, well, yeah, I just wanted to share
- 10:20Speaker 4: that real quick and then our next new story. Stop
- 10:24Speaker 4: me if you've heard this before, but I just don't.
- 10:27Speaker 4: A whim decided Oh I should check on that Paramount deal.
- 10:30Speaker 4: What's going on? Yeah, there's more to it now. Project Rise,
- 10:35Speaker 4: another company, has decided to throw their hat in the
- 10:37Speaker 4: ring and have offered a thirteen point five billion dollar
- 10:42Speaker 4: cash offer, which is far better than sky Dance to
- 10:47Speaker 4: purchase Paramount.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So what the hell is Project Rise?
- 10:53Speaker 4: It is a congoileration of investors put together to straight
- 10:58Speaker 4: up by Paramount.
- 11:00Speaker 1: So nobody the kid is a crap about film and television.
- 11:04Speaker 4: Well they say they have. They're investors at the background
- 11:06Speaker 4: in entertainment and media and technology and so and hospitality,
- 11:11Speaker 4: which would handle some of Paramounts attractions like they're.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So it's a private equity firm.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Basically, yes, yes, yeah, and they want to give up
- 11:24Speaker 4: to you know, thirteen points by billion in cash and
- 11:26Speaker 4: just give us all those properties and we'll take care
- 11:29Speaker 4: of it, we promise, you know.
- 11:32Speaker 3: So Yeah, I'm lost for words. At what. I don't know.
- 11:37Speaker 1: At what point does Paramount to say, I don't know what.
- 11:41Speaker 3: What could they say?
- 11:42Speaker 1: We give up, We're not going to sell it anymore.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Maybe we'll just try to make a go of it.
- 11:46Speaker 2: No, Paramount. Paramount is a company and they have a
- 11:48Speaker 2: duty to their stockholders. So if they get a better
- 11:51Speaker 2: offer from somewhere else, they're obligated to take it. To
- 11:56Speaker 2: consider that offer, yeah, they don't have to take it,
- 11:58Speaker 2: but they can't true lower one. They can't take the
- 12:02Speaker 2: lower one.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 2: If I was an investor, if I own stock in
- 12:05Speaker 2: Paramount and they're like, no, we're gonna take the seven million,
- 12:08Speaker 2: seven billion offer instead of the thirteen point five right,
- 12:11Speaker 2: say the hell you are right?
- 12:15Speaker 4: Yeah. It really just depends on what ends up happening here.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I'm sure there will be shareholder lawsuits now regardless of
- 12:23Speaker 4: what plan they take, because you can make arguments which
- 12:26Speaker 4: was better, you know, financially, and then you know, down
- 12:30Speaker 4: the road financially.
- 12:31Speaker 2: So here's the thing, It doesn't really matter even if
- 12:34Speaker 2: this company buys it and splits it up and sells
- 12:38Speaker 2: it off. They're going to sell Star Trek as a
- 12:43Speaker 2: whole to someone else, you think so? And they yeah, yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 2: they will sell Star Trek to someone else. I don't
- 12:51Speaker 2: know what are the other paramount properties.
- 12:52Speaker 4: What are the big properties that say sponge Mob, Ninja Turtles?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Okay, yep, So they'll sell SpongeBob over here, They'll sell
- 12:59Speaker 2: Ninja Hurtles over here, They'll sell Star Trek over here.
- 13:02Speaker 2: And who cares? Yes, okay, if if SpongeBob is separated
- 13:08Speaker 2: from Star Trek during the celloff, who cares?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Right, I won't get that Paw Patrol Star Trek smashup?
- 13:21Speaker 4: How am I not going to get Chasing Riker together
- 13:24Speaker 4: on the bridge of the Titan, Right, that's the name
- 13:29Speaker 4: of the dog, right, chase.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Uh Paw Patrol is just it's all dogs, okay? All right?
- 13:39Speaker 2: Who's that human on Star Trek, you know, the one
- 13:43Speaker 2: with two eyes and a nose in a mouth?
- 13:48Speaker 4: All right, and our last news story comes to all right,
- 13:56Speaker 4: that's right. So a piece of Star Trek history has
- 14:01Speaker 4: been rediscovered or reintroduced into the public. It is a
- 14:06Speaker 4: communicator screen used apparently.
- 14:11Speaker 2: The Blue Orions but anyway, go ahead.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, so they believe that's the one in Kirk's hand.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I guess William Stner had two communicators Alpha and Beta,
- 14:24Speaker 4: two props that he used, and this one Beta has
- 14:30Speaker 4: I guess a private owner had owned it for decades
- 14:34Speaker 4: and that owner is now willing to give it up
- 14:36Speaker 4: and it is hitting the auction block. It is currently
- 14:39Speaker 4: on auction. I will put the link in the show
- 14:43Speaker 4: notes for people to see if you don't want to
- 14:45Speaker 4: buy it, But currently it sits at one hundred grand
- 14:49Speaker 4: is the current bid for this thing.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And it comes with the Stopwatch.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Really I think those are extra streams. But you look
- 15:01Speaker 4: at these pictures, it is it is a little bit
- 15:03Speaker 4: beat up because it was a prop, right, they didn't
- 15:07Speaker 4: really care.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Ye, So.
- 15:10Speaker 4: But yeah, would you guys spend one hundred grand for
- 15:15Speaker 4: a screen used communicator?
- 15:17Speaker 6: No?
- 15:17Speaker 2: I got one from Art Asylum and it's just fine.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, in fact, in fact, it looks better than
- 15:21Speaker 2: that one got somewhere.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Yeah, so.
- 15:31Speaker 2: It's going so go back one one pick on the back.
- 15:36Speaker 2: There were numbers, It looked like there were numbers etched
- 15:39Speaker 2: on the back.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I did see that.
- 15:42Speaker 2: You think that's like official Starfleet serial numbering.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I would imagine that is a paramount serial numbering. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 4: keeping tracking who switch communicator. But yeah, E forty eight
- 15:57Speaker 4: is etched onto there. So yeah, one hundred grand baby,
- 16:03Speaker 4: they expected to go to up to potentially up to
- 16:05Speaker 4: two hundred grand. We'll see. The bids are in twenty
- 16:08Speaker 4: five thousand dollars increments.
- 16:11Speaker 2: As deck forty eight in equipment. Shorge Locker echo, Yes,
- 16:16Speaker 2: that's right.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I mean, you know, one hundred thousand dollars, you know,
- 16:23Speaker 1: look at it like, I don't know, if you were
- 16:27Speaker 1: a billionaire then you were a Star Trek fan, you know, yeah,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you'd scoop this kind of stuff up.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Yeah, Alle hundred says as people start dying and getting old,
- 16:38Speaker 4: all these collectiles are hitting the auction Yeah that's true,
- 16:40Speaker 4: that is true. I mean they just added that or
- 16:44Speaker 4: I don't know if they had it yet or they're
- 16:45Speaker 4: going to. But Saban is getting rid of a bunch
- 16:48Speaker 4: of the Power Rangers props and like all the uniforms
- 16:54Speaker 4: and figures and I don't know weapons and all this
- 16:58Speaker 4: stuff is for sale and people are going nuts for that.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So yeah, well, nineties nostalgia is big right now. Yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 2: another five years, people will be nostalgic for the the.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Aughts, yep, the as Yeah, there's already a little bit
- 17:13Speaker 4: of that now too. So yeah. Yeah, So that's that's
- 17:18Speaker 4: all the news stories. So well, should we get to
- 17:24Speaker 4: our main topic. We have two shows to review?
- 17:26Speaker 2: Sure?
- 17:27Speaker 4: Nah nah, okay, now forget it, forget it.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Well, thanks for everybody listening. We'll see you guys next week.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Fun will now.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Comment, No, I hit the button. Now we have to
- 17:43Speaker 4: review it.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Okay, fine, So we had.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Two episodes, right, we had dos and shades of green.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Should we just take them one at a time or
- 17:54Speaker 4: do you guya when do them together look good?
- 17:58Speaker 2: One at a time?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fine.
- 18:00Speaker 4: So there's no official log lines. I guess Paramount's done
- 18:04Speaker 4: done with that business.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah, like the next the next owners can worry about that.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. Basically the show is canceled anyway, so you know.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. So basically, the the plot premise is they
- 18:20Speaker 4: hit the Currito's hits some sort of ripple in the
- 18:23Speaker 4: space time continuum and go through it and find themselves
- 18:27Speaker 4: in an alternate dimension where they meet the another Critos
- 18:32Speaker 4: that is helmed by their version of Mariner Becky and
- 18:38Speaker 4: uh and they meet their alternates and it's all sorts
- 18:43Speaker 4: of craziness from there. M yeah, yeah, you can see
- 18:48Speaker 4: some of the alternates there, the what's her name, ta
- 18:51Speaker 4: Lynn the less Yeah. Yeah, she is remarkable in the
- 18:58Speaker 4: New World incidents.
- 19:00Speaker 3: It.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Yeah, like that's the big difference, you know. I do
- 19:05Speaker 4: like that.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I was just gonna say, you know, a
- 19:10Speaker 2: choice that they made. The alternate uniforms are just one
- 19:15Speaker 2: shade darker than the regular uniforms.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I was gonna say that too.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think that was a good idea because
- 19:24Speaker 2: it would just get confusing. Yep.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Helped tell him apart.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Yeah, there's the other Boimler with his beard.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Apparently Scott shaved his beard off and Brad found it
- 19:39Speaker 2: on the floor.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, sad when Brad Boiler has a stronger beard than
- 19:44Speaker 1: I do.
- 19:46Speaker 4: And he and he gained all sorts of confidence and
- 19:49Speaker 4: was just the top performer and very sure of himself.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It was great.
- 19:54Speaker 1: That's why I feel nervous and unsure of myself this morning.
- 19:58Speaker 2: M Shacks has got a sweet ponytail that's right looking
- 20:02Speaker 2: like he does in the nineties. I think that's you
- 20:05Speaker 2: think that's a wharf reference the later later. Oh yeah, probably, Yeah.
- 20:10Speaker 3: I never thought about that.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Yeah I didn't.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I like that Metallo from US.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I love the Third Arm.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Yeah, comes right out of ye. But yeah, there there
- 20:31Speaker 4: was no Captain Freeman, which was kind of sad.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, she was. She was at star Base eighty.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, apparently the butthole of Starfleet.
- 20:44Speaker 2: That's right. I love this guy's nose ring.
- 20:48Speaker 4: It's prescription.
- 20:49Speaker 2: It's a sweet nose ring.
- 20:51Speaker 4: That's right. What is There was a character that had
- 20:54Speaker 4: that right.
- 20:55Speaker 1: In TG so in the most Toys, the guy that
- 20:59Speaker 1: owned the ship and stole data and had all the artifacts.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah, fajo. He brought in a friend.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Warning NERD alert, NERD alert.
- 21:14Speaker 3: He well deserved.
- 21:16Speaker 1: He brought in a friend, and that's when Data decided
- 21:19Speaker 1: he wasn't going to cooperate anymore. And so the friend
- 21:21Speaker 1: walks over and looks at Data and he's like, that's
- 21:23Speaker 1: a mannequin. He's the one that had that at.
- 21:28Speaker 3: All.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Right now, knowing that, I think that deserves a NERD
- 21:31Speaker 1: alert too.
- 21:32Speaker 4: No, we just did it. Warning, warning, nerd alert, nerd alert.
- 21:41Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 21:42Speaker 3: Man?
- 21:42Speaker 2: You deny him a NERD alert? I laugh at it,
- 21:44Speaker 2: and did you just give it to him.
- 21:47Speaker 1: That's right, it's I having all kinds of emotions.
- 21:49Speaker 3: I've had it, all kinds of emotions.
- 21:53Speaker 4: We also had a kind of introdesting opening with Tindy
- 21:56Speaker 4: m with that collector. I guess she looked I don't know,
- 22:01Speaker 4: I don't want to say human.
- 22:02Speaker 3: But a different species species.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Yeah, she wasn't green. And it was like some sort
- 22:08Speaker 4: of undercover project or. Yeah, and they took over and
- 22:14Speaker 4: and they got the whatever artifacts they were after as
- 22:18Speaker 4: Orion's so.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yeah, attend he's a badass.
- 22:25Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, the what was the the Winter Constellation, the
- 22:30Speaker 4: Mistress of the Winter Constellation? Yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 4: there's the Boimlers together.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I love that.
- 22:43Speaker 3: The hair that the beard continues the purple. Yeah yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 3: that's great.
- 22:48Speaker 1: That's weird because he's human and so he just he
- 22:54Speaker 1: must dye his air.
- 22:57Speaker 2: He looks very Riker. This this Boimler is channeling Will
- 23:06Speaker 2: Riker from his time on the Tight.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Probably probably Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Yeah, these guys, what what was his deal?
- 23:15Speaker 3: The the what's the he's yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Phillips, phillips Is phillips Is Royalty. Hm. Okay, but our
- 23:24Speaker 2: billups has rejected his uh, his lineage I guess this.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Billups is like, you know what, I'm gonna be king
- 23:30Speaker 2: of I'm gonna be king of whatever. And an engineer,
- 23:35Speaker 2: and yeah Billips is the engineer. He's okay, so yeah yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 2: and Ransom his mullet. He's got his mullet. So that's
- 23:42Speaker 2: that's cool.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that's I didn't know mullets still existed in space,
- 23:50Speaker 4: but space mullet, space mullets.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so Devant to Erica what's her name?
- 24:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I hit the wrong one. But yeah, that's
- 24:03Speaker 4: for the second episode, h Eric, Yeah to Erica. Yeah,
- 24:08Speaker 4: so yeah, this episode, Uh so, how does this one end?
- 24:12Speaker 4: They figure out a way to get back to their
- 24:15Speaker 4: normal timeline. One thing I thought that was funny too,
- 24:17Speaker 4: is they kept fighting over which is the prime timeline?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:21Speaker 1: Right, Which is what you would do, right everything, right, Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you would just assume that your timeline is a prime
- 24:26Speaker 1: time line.
- 24:27Speaker 2: You know, I'm rewatching I'm rewatching the Flash with my
- 24:31Speaker 2: son because he's old enough to watch that show now. Yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 2: And there was a conversation the other night. We're talking
- 24:37Speaker 2: about Earth one, Earth two and somebody from Earth. This
- 24:39Speaker 2: is you know, from my point of view, my Earth
- 24:42Speaker 2: is Earth one, and your Earth is Earth too. It's
- 24:45Speaker 2: kind of the same joke that there.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Uh Mariner Mariner's captain in the alternate universe and she's
- 24:56Speaker 2: kind of a bach yeah and uh. A later part
- 25:01Speaker 2: of the episode, she pulls a switcheroo with our Mariner
- 25:05Speaker 2: because she's tired of that wants to go back to heaven.
- 25:08Speaker 2: No responsibility, right, Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Speaking of which, did we know that her full name
- 25:15Speaker 1: was Beckett Mariner Freeman? Do we know that we did
- 25:20Speaker 1: Beckett middle name?
- 25:23Speaker 2: We didn't know that until now, Okay, Okay.
- 25:26Speaker 4: I feel like we'd heard it before. I remember hearing Beckett.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Like I don't remember where the Mariner came from. Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't know if we knew that was
- 25:36Speaker 1: her middle name or not. I guess we didn't.
- 25:38Speaker 4: No, yeah, yeah, I'm pretty sure it's come up like
- 25:42Speaker 4: at least once.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Okay, maybe when they found out, like in season one,
- 25:48Speaker 1: when they found out that, yeah, she was Captain Freeman's daughter.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah. I think that's how that's why she was murdered,
- 25:55Speaker 4: because it right, right.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, But I don't think we knew until today that
- 26:00Speaker 2: it was her middle name.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Middle name, Like we might have assumed it was like
- 26:05Speaker 1: her like I remember different.
- 26:08Speaker 2: I remember in the beginning thinking that her parents her
- 26:11Speaker 2: parents were divorced and that was her dad's last name.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Mom went back to her maide name. And then when
- 26:19Speaker 2: dad showed up on the show and everybody's got the
- 26:21Speaker 2: and and they both had the same last name, I
- 26:24Speaker 2: was like, all right, well, it's got to be from
- 26:26Speaker 2: somewhere else.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Thought yeah, yeah, okay, yeah m And then our other episode,
- 26:34Speaker 4: Shades Green, was more of a tend focused episode. They
- 26:42Speaker 4: they basically we screw up and they created a war
- 26:47Speaker 4: with the Blue o'rion's, and so get it settled. The
- 26:53Speaker 4: Pirate Queen decleares that they have to run a race
- 26:56Speaker 4: or fly erase and uh, the winner to get the
- 27:00Speaker 4: bounty and bring it back gets to keep their their riches,
- 27:04Speaker 4: and then the loser has to basically be bankrupt.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Right did we go over why ten D's away from Starfleet?
- 27:13Speaker 4: We do not know.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Okay, do you want to go and go over that? Yeah.
- 27:16Speaker 1: So in the previous season, she basically, in order to
- 27:22Speaker 1: save the Critos, makes a bet with her sister and
- 27:27Speaker 1: gets a gets an Orion ship to help save the
- 27:32Speaker 1: Critos in exchange for her going back to Orion. They
- 27:36Speaker 1: want her back to the family to help run the
- 27:38Speaker 1: family business. So that's why she's not in Starfleet anymore
- 27:42Speaker 1: or not.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Currently.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Mm hmm, yeah so so yeah, uh so what was
- 27:53Speaker 4: it they had to find? Was it in the first
- 27:56Speaker 4: episode that they had to find the ship and they
- 28:00Speaker 4: and from there that's where you're introduced to the Blue
- 28:03Speaker 4: Orions or that I know they both kind of blended
- 28:06Speaker 4: in one episode.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they both kind of blended in one episode, and
- 28:09Speaker 1: you brought up the like the Blue Orions the Blue
- 28:14Speaker 1: Orions only I was reading up on that they've only
- 28:17Speaker 1: been in one other episode of Star Trek at all
- 28:21Speaker 1: and it was the first It was the first episode
- 28:24Speaker 1: of the second season of the animated series. Oh wow,
- 28:28Speaker 1: that they were mentioned, and after that they've never been
- 28:30Speaker 1: mentioned at all.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So that was nice.
- 28:34Speaker 2: That their character design is just awful, right, it looks
- 28:39Speaker 2: like nineteen seventy four filmation animated design. Yeah, I was
- 28:46Speaker 2: trying to find it pretty.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Pretty bad for them, but yeah, no, we just get
- 28:51Speaker 4: the back of their heads.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I've never seen the animated series. We're currently doing a
- 28:56Speaker 1: rewatch of the original series and we're almost at the
- 28:59Speaker 1: tail end of the second season.
- 29:00Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, it's hard.
- 29:04Speaker 1: The original series ain't that easy either. I mean, I know,
- 29:07Speaker 1: but we're doing it. My wife and I are.
- 29:11Speaker 3: You know, we're true love Star Trek. Yeah she does.
- 29:15Speaker 4: She loves you.
- 29:16Speaker 1: And if I'm gonna you know, I have always considered myself,
- 29:19Speaker 1: you know, a true Star Trek fan, and I'm gonna
- 29:23Speaker 1: have to power through this.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I got ye bad.
- 29:29Speaker 1: You've never seen the original series before. Some of it's
- 29:32Speaker 1: really really bad and not even like so bad it's
- 29:35Speaker 1: good either, it's just.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it's rough. But yeah, I like the Priorate Queen.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I feel like that was an opportunity to have a
- 29:45Speaker 4: really good guest star though, like maybe just Judy or
- 29:49Speaker 4: someone like that. Oh yeah, but yeah, both episodes I
- 29:57Speaker 4: thought were fun. I do remember happened a few times
- 30:01Speaker 4: at silly things. I would and checked our predictions. So far,
- 30:07Speaker 4: so good. I did want to ask you guys, do
- 30:09Speaker 4: we count you know, the New Universe as the other Boimler.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Oh I was I was going to ask if if
- 30:19Speaker 2: we checked the box on a new Curritos.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Yeah that was the other one too. Yeah, so oh
- 30:26Speaker 4: I don't.
- 30:27Speaker 3: I mean I think we were a come on, that's
- 30:30Speaker 3: not in the spirit.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Of Yeah, that's kind of where I would land it
- 30:33Speaker 4: on it both.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we were thinking a refit or the Crito's got destroyed.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't think we were talking alternate timeline Currito's.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I think we can argue about it in eight weeks.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Okay, and we will argue about it.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Okay, hopefully your beard is back in.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, right now devoted because you are weak right now?
- 31:02Speaker 3: Oh man?
- 31:03Speaker 4: So uh but yeah, So that was the other That
- 31:06Speaker 4: was the episodes. We've got another one coming up. We
- 31:09Speaker 4: got a few weeks of lower decks and and then
- 31:11Speaker 4: it's it'll be goodbye.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Oh Tendy's Uh, we didn't mention Tendy's sister is pregnant.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Oh that's right.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and and her daughter will inherit the Mantle of
- 31:24Speaker 2: Winter Soldier. Yeah, that's and that's why Tendy can go
- 31:29Speaker 2: back to the uh, the Serritos. So she's back at
- 31:32Speaker 2: the end of the episode, which is nice because, yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 2: it's been weird for Rutherford.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Yeah that's true. That's true.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Ruther has been going through a time.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Yeah, poor rutherfert Man, the poor guy.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Off.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Yeah, this is the thing I wanted to mention too
- 31:49Speaker 4: with with Dylann. She she wanted to try to befriend
- 31:52Speaker 4: Rutforford and work on the on the shuttle craft that
- 31:56Speaker 4: he's been working on, like the equivalent of somebody trying
- 31:58Speaker 4: to rebuild a car, and she thought it would be
- 32:02Speaker 4: fun and just like did it herself entirely, like just
- 32:07Speaker 4: built the whole thing.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Do you guys smell a love triangle?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Oh?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Rutherford tend to len what can female like when she's
- 32:19Speaker 1: trying to buy for you know, m h a human
- 32:23Speaker 1: cyborg that's also being pursued by a.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Pash Yeah, oh boy. Yeah.
- 32:36Speaker 2: So this show sometimes delves into questions that probably a
- 32:43Speaker 2: lot of us have asked over the years watching Star Trek,
- 32:48Speaker 2: and usually we get a fun answer to the question.
- 32:52Speaker 2: But I've often thought, Okay, when a society goes from uh,
- 32:57Speaker 2: using money to not using money, how does oh yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 2: how does that go?
- 33:03Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 33:05Speaker 2: And it was funny to see, you know, the rich
- 33:07Speaker 2: people weren't too happy about it, because hey, we're just
- 33:11Speaker 2: like everybody else now. And but also some things like
- 33:15Speaker 2: the people are waiting in line to get into the
- 33:17Speaker 2: Replomat and somebody's like, why are we waiting in line?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Everything's free? Yeah, right, like, and I think they're kind
- 33:26Speaker 2: of poking fun at themselves, poking fun at the idea
- 33:31Speaker 2: of a of a of a society where you know,
- 33:35Speaker 2: there's no currency, just everything is free, and how it
- 33:40Speaker 2: kind of just won't work.
- 33:42Speaker 3: They're kind of poking fun at socialism.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Well, and then the way like it we're all thinking,
- 33:49Speaker 3: I just said it.
- 33:52Speaker 4: I do like that the rich people were pissed that
- 33:54Speaker 4: they were no longer rich. Yeah, and then uh, the
- 34:00Speaker 4: pirates get all their jewels at the end, which is
- 34:02Speaker 4: kind of funny.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, which brings up another question, Like there were
- 34:07Speaker 1: stacks of gold.
- 34:09Speaker 3: They didn't say it was latinum.
- 34:10Speaker 1: They made it sound like it was gold and jewels
- 34:13Speaker 1: and stuff, and it's like all that stuff's worthless anyways,
- 34:16Speaker 1: because anything the only reason, the only thing that gives
- 34:19Speaker 1: latinum its value is the fact that it can't be replicated.
- 34:22Speaker 1: The gold and latinum is just a is like a stabilizer, right, well,
- 34:27Speaker 1: it's like clay in dynamite.
- 34:30Speaker 2: They've contradicted themselves on that a few times. A couple
- 34:34Speaker 2: of times in the episode episode Little Green Men, when
- 34:38Speaker 2: Quark and Ram and Nag were stuck in nineteen forty seven,
- 34:42Speaker 2: and they were talking to the general about selling Ferengi
- 34:46Speaker 2: technology to the humans or the you know, the Australians
- 34:51Speaker 2: because they didn't have the geography right right. But he,
- 34:55Speaker 2: you know, he says, what do you you know, what
- 34:56Speaker 2: do you guys use for currency here? Latinum? And he
- 34:59Speaker 2: was like, oh, we got gold. He's like, oh gold,
- 35:02Speaker 2: like he was interested. And then there was another episode
- 35:04Speaker 2: later where you find out that the latinum is encased
- 35:07Speaker 2: in gold and he breaks the bar in half and
- 35:10Speaker 2: he's like, oh, it's just worthless gold, right, Well, which
- 35:13Speaker 2: is it?
- 35:14Speaker 3: Right? Right?
- 35:16Speaker 1: So maybe I mean, maybe gold has some kind of
- 35:19Speaker 1: value because it's some sort of an industrial but yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 1: why would I have value if it's if it can
- 35:25Speaker 1: be replicated.
- 35:27Speaker 4: Gold is good for computer components, like you know your
- 35:31Speaker 4: computers have gold in him it's a it's a good conductor.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Maybe gold is difficult to replicate or costly to replicate,
- 35:41Speaker 1: but yeah, the.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Whole going to know money.
- 35:43Speaker 1: And then even in the they talk about you know,
- 35:45Speaker 1: using credits in the Federation.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Credits. I remember Cisco was talking to his.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Son one time about you know, using credits to you know,
- 35:54Speaker 1: use the replicator to whatever.
- 35:56Speaker 2: So the Vllager too. Right, Well, well, all right, so
- 36:00Speaker 2: there's two different situations there. Voyager. Voyager was dealing with
- 36:04Speaker 2: a situation where they were not a post scarcity society
- 36:08Speaker 2: society because they were stranded in the delta quadrant. They
- 36:11Speaker 2: had limited uh, they had limited resources, so that you
- 36:16Speaker 2: can't really use that as an example. Cisco was an
- 36:20Speaker 2: academy cadet at the time, so I don't think they're
- 36:23Speaker 2: implying that, you know, every person has transporter credits, but
- 36:30Speaker 2: cadets have transporter credits. You you know, you're a cadet
- 36:34Speaker 2: in a military academy. You can't just you know, do
- 36:37Speaker 2: whatever you want. Nope, use yep. It's like having you know,
- 36:42Speaker 2: it's like having a weekend pass.
- 36:44Speaker 3: It's a discipline. That makes sense. Okay, that makes sense.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Okay, all right, So.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yes, so next Thursday we'll have another episode.
- 36:55Speaker 2: And how many episodes are there for the season?
- 36:59Speaker 4: Ten?
- 37:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we got more.
- 37:04Speaker 2: That's gonna go fast, It's gonna go super fast.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Can we go over the the opening credits?
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 1: So I caught there were three editions. There was the
- 37:19Speaker 1: the Green Hand from the original story showed up. That
- 37:25Speaker 1: was cool, the the cloud, the Vegure like cloud oh yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 1: showed up, so so Vegures there, and then towards the end,
- 37:36Speaker 1: all the the Tholian web started, uh, going across the screens.
- 37:40Speaker 1: So they've got Vegure, that that god hand green thing
- 37:46Speaker 1: that they had that super special effects.
- 37:48Speaker 3: It was awesome back in the sixties. And the Toolian
- 37:51Speaker 3: showed up.
- 37:52Speaker 4: So I don't know, man, we'll see, we see what
- 37:57Speaker 4: what started all that off?
- 37:58Speaker 3: But yeah, that's gotta be a thing.
- 38:02Speaker 4: It's gotta be just popping them in there.
- 38:04Speaker 3: There's no other explanation.
- 38:08Speaker 4: All right, Well, we got Chasm was way down online,
- 38:10Speaker 4: so we should get the listener feedback, and we got
- 38:14Speaker 4: Dan has got a heart out, so hold on listener feedback.
- 38:23Speaker 3: All right, listener feedback.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I thought you were gonna say something like, okay, is
- 38:32Speaker 4: he's saying something? What's going on here?
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yes?
- 38:36Speaker 4: Exactly, That's what I thought. All right, Well there's Jazminz.
- 38:40Speaker 7: There is anybody no taking or emails or something. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 7: it's like, okay, what's Strong Beard doing here?
- 38:49Speaker 3: So yeah?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, who Strong Beard? Who's that mediocre Beard?
- 38:55Speaker 5: Mediocre Beard?
- 38:58Speaker 3: Yeah, just for now, just for now.
- 39:02Speaker 4: Crossover episode before Lower Decks ends mm hmm. I mean
- 39:07Speaker 4: they can do one without with an ending, like they
- 39:10Speaker 4: can do one next season and just bring those actors back.
- 39:13Speaker 5: I think it'd be faint.
- 39:14Speaker 7: They did a crossover where they just stayed into the
- 39:17Speaker 7: real world, you know, at least one of the characters. Yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 7: Adam to Voyager or not Voyager, but.
- 39:27Speaker 5: New worlds.
- 39:28Speaker 4: You don't want to matter to Academy.
- 39:31Speaker 7: Well, okay, Academy is supposed to be what Burnham's timeline
- 39:36Speaker 7: or timeline, that's.
- 39:39Speaker 1: What we're gonna call it from now line. We're gonna
- 39:41Speaker 1: call it the burn timeline just for Dad.
- 39:45Speaker 7: It's just not a good timeline like detachable the Cells.
- 39:49Speaker 5: You can't sell that on boys.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Sorry, So we're gonna call them Burnham the Cells.
- 39:55Speaker 7: Yeah, she reattached them. That's why they're popular again.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I mean they work for marketing because now
- 40:04Speaker 4: you have three toys to sell, you to buy themselves separately.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Mm hmmm, mm hmmm.
- 40:10Speaker 5: It's gonna be one of those acts where you build
- 40:12Speaker 5: this ship.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, sold separately.
- 40:16Speaker 2: That's right.
- 40:17Speaker 4: You gotta buy the right one and the left.
- 40:19Speaker 5: One you got.
- 40:22Speaker 3: And the left Burnell, they only have rights.
- 40:25Speaker 4: I need a left What was the character just called Dan.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I'm sure he's got a plethora of.
- 40:34Speaker 4: You know, what they would do is they'd make them
- 40:35Speaker 4: those blind bags and like one side is the Chase variant,
- 40:39Speaker 4: So good luck trying to get it. You're just getting
- 40:41Speaker 4: all these blind bags.
- 40:45Speaker 1: We're all gonna sell, We're all gonna send Dan ours.
- 40:49Speaker 4: That's right.
- 40:52Speaker 7: And then what's the ash Tyler? You know you gotta
- 40:56Speaker 7: buy like the set by Hilly and ask Tyler to
- 41:02Speaker 7: form the whole ship.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Yeah, careful, that's Damn's second favorite character.
- 41:09Speaker 4: What there's like, you know, like.
- 41:10Speaker 2: The commercial why why am I here? Why?
- 41:15Speaker 4: Like the commercials they would do like oh here comes
- 41:17Speaker 4: Cobra Commander and blah blah, like oh burna, let's.
- 41:20Speaker 5: Have a hurt the heart conversation, start whispering and crying.
- 41:31Speaker 3: They do that.
- 41:32Speaker 4: Now there's memes of like some kid playing with like
- 41:34Speaker 4: Star Trek figures and he's like, kay, when your political
- 41:37Speaker 4: maneuvering won't stand up at court?
- 41:43Speaker 3: All this.
- 41:45Speaker 7: Commercials because you're like, yeah, like there's the reason why
- 41:48Speaker 7: Star Trek toys don't.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Really sell exactly. So yeah, it's.
- 41:55Speaker 7: Kind of well, I mean Star Wars having a hard
- 41:57Speaker 7: time selling toys now, too.
- 41:59Speaker 4: So they all are. It's because we buy the toys
- 42:01Speaker 4: the kids don't.
- 42:03Speaker 7: Well, the toys are expensive for parents, they could buy
- 42:06Speaker 7: them a video game for cheaper.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Shut them.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Do you know?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Do you know what a four inch do you know
- 42:12Speaker 2: what a four inch Star Wars toy of costs nowadays?
- 42:15Speaker 4: Fifteen bucks?
- 42:15Speaker 5: Right, if you got the Black Series?
- 42:19Speaker 2: Higher?
- 42:20Speaker 3: Higher?
- 42:21Speaker 2: So who's who's the guy who? He was in the
- 42:24Speaker 2: Mandalorian He had Boba Fette's armor and Mando had to
- 42:28Speaker 2: get it back.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, the Oh yeah, I'm trying to get it.
- 42:33Speaker 2: I can't remember, like cal vance or something.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:39Speaker 1: He was the outside salesman from the office.
- 42:41Speaker 2: So, uh, his his four inch figure because it has
- 42:46Speaker 2: extra accessories. Twenty five dollars? What twenty five dollars? Yep, yeah,
- 42:55Speaker 2: it is ridiculous.
- 42:56Speaker 4: That's right, dog, yes, given the dog the business.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Dog is pissed.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Yeah, like this, what's the money here? Shutting them up?
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, my wife shuts me up in the very same way.
- 43:15Speaker 5: Okay.
- 43:19Speaker 7: Yeah, the toy market is gotten out of control and
- 43:22Speaker 7: the prices, yeah and yeah, I think that's why they're
- 43:27Speaker 7: having hard time. And then like Legos shoot, like there's
- 43:31Speaker 7: like a Lego every month that they keep on announcing.
- 43:35Speaker 7: If you bought Legos every month, you'd be broke.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of toys, are expensive?
- 43:39Speaker 5: Geez, Like they had the job as cell barge. Now
- 43:42Speaker 5: have you seen that?
- 43:45Speaker 4: No? No, I.
- 43:47Speaker 7: It's like the whole Lego set's like five hundred dollars
- 43:49Speaker 7: for the cell barge. But you don't get the starlight pit.
- 43:52Speaker 7: You gotta buy that separately. That's eight separately.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, how do you how do you make an eight?
- 44:00Speaker 3: How do you make a star?
- 44:02Speaker 4: Yeah? You just dig a hole in the ground.
- 44:10Speaker 7: Right, like canned legos in there to make you sing it.
- 44:18Speaker 3: No.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Well, so, Chasmins, what did you think of, uh these
- 44:22Speaker 2: two episodes?
- 44:23Speaker 7: Well, I think communism would work totally well so right,
- 44:28Speaker 7: I mean I think everybody cartoon showed to have all
- 44:31Speaker 7: your money forfeited over, and you know, everybody could just
- 44:36Speaker 7: run amuck and just be a big party. Yeah, teach yoga,
- 44:40Speaker 7: you could pain, you can have like poetry classes, maybe
- 44:46Speaker 7: just honky dory.
- 44:48Speaker 3: I still, can you imagine?
- 44:52Speaker 1: Can you imagine if our government just came out and said, Okay,
- 44:55Speaker 1: this is what we're gonna do starting January one.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Yeah, your money is dead. Starting to Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you have any stockpiles of gold, then
- 45:04Speaker 1: to give them up.
- 45:05Speaker 2: That's that's why it's important to own things that have value. Yeah,
- 45:10Speaker 2: the currency, yes, and.
- 45:13Speaker 4: Not action figures.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm good, Yeah, I'm good.

- 45:34Speaker 1: For those of you who are listening, I've got a
- 45:38Speaker 1: riker doll. I'm sorry, action figure, Action figure.

- 45:53Speaker 2: gives you a beard until it? Oh there, yeah, there
- 45:56Speaker 2: you go, one of those like those Instagram filters.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Make yourself a cat something?
- 46:02Speaker 1: Yeah, myself a cat.
- 46:09Speaker 7: That'd be funny if they went to the other if
- 46:11Speaker 7: somebody was a furry hurry bomler like on the ship
- 46:16Speaker 7: and he's just chilling with it, that'd be great.
- 46:23Speaker 5: It's like, I'm a cat.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Well, he'd make a great cat because he's kind of
- 46:26Speaker 1: skittish and yeah, oh, make him all a furry.
- 46:33Speaker 3: That would bring up a whole another level level.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Would the doctor get upset.
- 46:39Speaker 5: The doctor would be the doctor, like, that's that's character human.
- 46:43Speaker 2: It's like like black face.
- 46:45Speaker 5: But yeah, everything would be like reverse.
- 46:48Speaker 2: So, Daniel, were you just in the shuttle bay? What
- 46:52Speaker 2: was Yeah?
- 46:53Speaker 4: I was thinking the filters and they were all I
- 46:56Speaker 4: could find.

- 47:54Speaker 5: Yeah, where at.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Wasn't there? You couldn't turn off a cat filter in
- 48:01Speaker 4: a zoom meeting. It was a lawyer, yes, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 48:07Speaker 4: not a cat wow?
- 48:09Speaker 5: Yeah, well at least all those well I guess this

- 48:28Speaker 5: We're trying, so we have.
- 48:30Speaker 7: You know, one thing I hate is when they do
- 48:33Speaker 7: two episodes in a row and a ten season slot.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's unnecessary. I didn't need to episodes.
- 48:39Speaker 7: Very unnecessary stretch a little bit, Yeah, because these seasons
- 48:44Speaker 7: are too short now and you waited so long to
- 48:49Speaker 7: get here, and then you're gonna have a big break period.
- 48:52Speaker 7: Two strange new worlds.

- 49:50Speaker 1: That's kind of what I'm where they keep it, you know,
- 49:52Speaker 1: because there's some humor in Mission Impossible, right.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Right, I think they're pretty intense and yeah.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I mean there's some great exchanges between you know, Ethan
- 50:03Speaker 1: and you know Ving Raams and my Simon Pegg's character.
- 50:07Speaker 5: This is uh strange New World's timeline, right, We don't
- 50:13Speaker 5: we don't know, yeah, because like what timeline is it?
- 50:17Speaker 4: She could be bouncing around all the timelines.
- 50:19Speaker 7: Because it's section thirty one, so we don't know what
- 50:22Speaker 7: timeline they're doing.
- 50:23Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't know. They may do an ad section
- 50:26Speaker 4: where she goes to the lower decks and she's animated.
- 50:29Speaker 1: Maybe they'll bring in a d William Sadler.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Oh yeah, maybe. When I talked to him, he said
- 50:36Speaker 4: he had not gotten in a call.
- 50:37Speaker 1: So that's right, Yeah, you did it. I remember all
- 50:40Speaker 1: that was.
- 50:41Speaker 3: I remember that interview. That was a really good interview. Yeah. Yeah,
- 50:45Speaker 3: sometimes they say that and then I.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Get the vibe who was telling the truth. I don't know, yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 4: because he seemed kind of disappointed about it too.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah, I mean he is an actor.
- 50:59Speaker 4: He is an act that's the other thing.
- 51:01Speaker 3: You know, he has one specific talent.
- 51:05Speaker 4: He could yeah, he could be lying.
- 51:07Speaker 1: So I mean actors are basically liars that are lying
- 51:10Speaker 1: about doing things.
- 51:12Speaker 7: Adult pretenders the adult pretenders, right, all right, well that's
- 51:19Speaker 7: pretty much we're getting winded down. So okay, yeah, you know,

- 51:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they just want to be different oreons.
- 51:40Speaker 5: That's the way my dad would probably.
- 51:42Speaker 4: My favorite cookies, the orions, the way my dad would
- 51:47Speaker 4: pronounce it.
- 51:48Speaker 3: Yeah, with the.
- 51:50Speaker 5: Cookie Bee Daniel on a blue oreon.
