And we've covered so much. In the last episode we talked about typhoons — 颱風. Luna: 颱風. That's typhoon. And we learned 打風, which is when a typhoon is coming, right? Lucas: Exactly. 打風. So let's do a quick review. When a typhoon hits, what do we say? Luna: 打風? Or 颱風嚟啦? Lucas: Both work. 颱風嚟啦 means 'the typhoon is coming.' And we also had 落大雨 — heavy rain. Luna: 落大雨. And 好大風 — strong wind. But I feel like when it's really windy, I want to say something more dramatic. Lucas: Oh, like 好大風啊! That's a common exclamation. 好大風啊. It's like 'Such strong wind!' Luna: 好大風啊. I love that. Can you say it slowly? Lucas: 好大風啊. 好 — 大 — 風 — 啊. Luna: 好大風啊. With the 啊 at the end, it feels more natural. Lucas: Exactly. So today we're adding that phrase to our typhoon vocabulary: 好大風啊. Luna: 好大風啊. So if I'm outside and the wind is crazy, I can just say that. Lucas: Yep. Or you could say 今日好大風啊 — 'today the wind is so strong.' Luna: 今日好大風啊. Okay, I think I've got it. But let me practice the whole set. 颱風, 打風, 落大雨, 好大風, 好大風啊. Lucas: Perfect. And don't forget 颱風嚟啦. So let's imagine a scenario. You're at home, and you hear the news. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: Your friend calls and says: 聽日打風啊. Luna: 聽日打風啊 — 'There's a typhoon tomorrow.' Then I'd say: 好大風啊, 記得收衫. Lucas: Oh, 收衫 — bring in the clothes. That's a good phrase. So you'd remind each other to take in the laundry before the wind blows it away. Luna: Right. And if it's raining heavily: 落大雨啊, 唔好出去. Lucas: Exactly. You're getting the hang of it. So today's new phrase is 好大風啊. Say it with me: 好大風啊. Luna: 好大風啊.
