- 0:54Sackett. Welcome to the program.
- 0:56Thank you very much. Pleasure to be here.
- 0:58It's, it's really a pleasure to have you here.
- 0:59I know that you live in Israel and you came all the way just
- 1:02for this podcast. Not exactly, but we'll say yes.
- 1:06Well, we'll get into that in a minute.
- 1:08Thank you to all our comments. You know, we've been getting a
- 1:09lot of love and also a little bit of hate and we're loving it
- 1:13all. We'd like to see what you guys
- 1:14have to say. And we are interested and we're
- 1:17keeping it interesting and it's helping us on our mission of
- 1:20growth and we're loving every second of it.
- 1:23RIP Schmuel. We have this thing called Chachi
- 1:26PT says what? Which is, you know, a way for
- 1:29our audience to get to know you. But really quick if you can give
- 1:32me the 32nd background simply because we don't really know who
- 1:36you are. You were highly recommended by
- 1:38someone who was on our podcast, who has one of the largest
- 1:41podcast in the Jewish nation, Yaakov Langer.
- 1:43So thank you, Yaakov, for recommendation.
- 1:46You know, I guess you were just here for a couple of days and
- 1:48scheduling didn't work out. But either way, it's a
- 1:51compliment for him to call me and give us a recommendation.
- 1:54So we appreciate his recommendation and you being
- 1:56here, but we really don't know you.
- 1:58And you know, I spent this morning just, you know, quickly
- 2:01Googling you and I went my did my ChatGPT 10 minutes ago and
- 2:05I'm like reading stuff and I'm like, whoa, Mayor Kahana pops up
- 2:08in there and I'm like, Oh my God, this is going to be
- 2:09interesting, but just give us a quick background who you are,
- 2:12where'd you grow up? A little bit about you in terms
- 2:15of your background. So first of all, thank you for
- 2:18having me on the podcast. Born and raised in Middle
- 2:23Village Queens and I went to YCQ after that YHSQ which no longer
- 2:29exists and then I graduated to rural college.
- 2:31Many, many moons ago, back in 1981 got married to my lovely
- 2:36wife Rhonda and we had at the time four children and in 1990
- 2:42Maid Alia from Well. We moved from Queens to the Five
- 2:46towns and we made Alia from Woodmere in 1990 to Israel and
- 2:51been living there ever since. In Israel we added two Israeli
- 2:54born little Sabras and one of them was birthdays yesterday.
- 2:59She's 30, so it's not Little anymore.
- 3:02And Barkishet, we've been blessed with many grandchildren
- 3:05and everybody should just should just be well, in Israel.
- 3:10I came and I was in the marketing field.
- 3:13I worked for the door, which is the Israel Postal Authority.
- 3:16I was the one of the marketing managers, but as we'll get into,
- 3:20they began the Oslo Accords, and I couldn't sit silently.
- 3:24I knew that this would lead to Jewish bloodshed.
- 3:27And I did whatever I could to stop it.
- 3:30And we formed. We, myself and my dear friend
- 3:33Moshe Faglin, formed a movement called Zorat Seno, and we fought
- 3:36against it to the best of our ability.
- 3:38It was a civil disobedience movement.
- 3:39We arrested many, many times and sat in prison and very proud of
- 3:44that. I'm sure we'll discuss that.
- 3:46But thank God I'm now fully rehabilitated, no longer a
- 3:49danger to women and children. And Barack Hashem been fighting
- 3:54from Israel ever since and it's it's a great honor to work in
- 3:58what I call the Amistrell business to fight for a strong
- 4:01and proud Jewish state. Yes, I am a student of Rabbi
- 4:05America Kahana Rabbi Umari and I, I, I teach his I spread his
- 4:10teachings and I, I, I think that this is something that the
- 4:15Jewish world needs to hear more what he said.
- 4:18I believe he was grossly misunderstood and if I'm Israel,
- 4:22I listened to his message more and and really implemented his
- 4:26message on a daily basis. Things would be a lot brighter
- 4:30for I'm Israel today, but I'm living now in Herzelia Pituch.
- 4:34I know I don't look like a Herzelia guy, but I am and
- 4:37living in Herzelia for close to 18 years and it's a beautiful
- 4:42community. Come and join us and just here
- 4:46visiting. One of my children live in the
- 4:47five towns. So we came to visit as I told
- 4:50her, I'm not coming to visit you.
- 4:51I'm coming to visit your two very cute kids and Mr. Ratersham
- 4:54in a couple of days. Going back to Eric, Sister L,
- 4:57that's the elevator pitch. Wow, I but you did that great.
- 5:00But we have a thing called the 32nd pitch.
- 5:02Yeah, I mean, the podcast's over.
- 5:03You can go. That's.
- 5:05Fine, we got it. Excellent.
- 5:06We. Learned everything you know when
- 5:08you say Hertzelia there's there's like a hotel there that
- 5:10has they accept points so everybody.
- 5:12The Ritz I. Don't think anyone pays for the
- 5:15Ritz in Herzlia. Everyone's using points there.
- 5:17Now I meet these people because I'm the Gabi of the shul and
- 5:20we're the only Ashkenazi shul in the entire Herzlia.
- 5:24There's there's about 12 Spidey shuls, 1 Ashkenazi shul.
- 5:28So these guys come to the to the Ritz, they wind up dabbling by
- 5:31us. Mention none of your business
- 5:33and I'll give you an Aaliyah. How's that?
- 5:36How's that? Which one?
- 5:37Shishi Shishi, Which one? Depends if you like the podcast
- 5:41or not. Well, let's get into it because
- 5:44I appreciate that background, really.
- 5:45Like, you know, because it just helps me, you know,
- 5:48understanding who you are. You were influenced by Rabbi
- 5:51Mayor Kahana, a name that still clears rooms.
- 5:54Yet you choose speeches, protests and politics instead of
- 5:57violence. That distinction somehow gets
- 6:01lost on people. You know, I should have started
- 6:02off saying welcome back to the controversial podcast.
- 6:08You know, I don't know enough about Mayor Kahana, but I
- 6:11definitely know that he was labeled many times as someone
- 6:15who potentially brought violence or was labeled as that.
- 6:19And I'm curious how that happened.
- 6:20What's that background? I don't want to use other harsh
- 6:23words, but I do know that it has been used in the past.
- 6:28I'm curious, first of all, who was he to you?
- 6:29Who was he to the Jewish people? Who's that person now?
- 6:33What are we missing? Let's talk about that for a
- 6:35minute. Because I grew up in an era
- 6:36knowing that, you know, when I was in, you know, on the streets
- 6:40of Brooklyn on Avenue J, we had a few people come over to us
- 6:43when we were 15 years old and asked us, you know, hey, you
- 6:46want to join a movement called the JDL and didn't really know
- 6:50much about it, especially you're familiar with Mayor Kahana.
- 6:52I don't know anything about any of this that you guys were
- 6:54talking about. So for me, this is a purely
- 6:56educational. I'm hearing it for the first
- 6:58time. So if you can give a little bit
- 7:00more color, a little bit more flavor to who does America
- 7:02Kahana was or is is he still alive?
- 7:04Unfortunately, no. OK.
- 7:07In 1968, Robbie America Honda formed the Jewish Defense
- 7:11League. Jewish Defensive was an
- 7:13organization that advocated strength and pride and
- 7:19discipline for the Jewish people.
- 7:21The reason why he founded the the organization is because they
- 7:24were originally a group of Jewish teachers who were being
- 7:28harassed in the public schools and he had he wanted to learn
- 7:33the lesson of the Holocaust where Jews cannot go or were no
- 7:37longer willing to go as a lambs to the slaughter.
- 7:41And he coined the term never again.
- 7:44Never again will Jews go quietly when an anti Semite just tells
- 7:47him move. Those days are over and Robert
- 7:51Connor installed in us now again.
- 7:52I was not involved in 1968. I was born in 1961.
- 7:55I got very involved in Jewish Vesley in the 70s, but he had a
- 8:00bunch of guys who if there was an anti-Semitic problem, they
- 8:03dealt with it not by sending letters to the mayor or those
- 8:08days out fax or a telegram or whatever.
- 8:10They went and simply beat up the anti Semite, right?
- 8:14I kind of coined the term. Violence is always bad, but
- 8:18sometimes necessary. We are right now recording this
- 8:21podcast on Hanukkah. Hanukkah.
- 8:24Well, it's very nice to give gifts to the children and to
- 8:27light candles. It's about Jews fighting.
- 8:31It's about Jews that were disgusted with the Hellenized
- 8:35Jews and with the Greeks and with the decrees against the
- 8:40Jewish girls. And they took to the streets and
- 8:43they fought back. And the whole Tanakh is filled
- 8:46with Jews who would not sit quietly.
- 8:50Rabbi kind of simply taught us the lessons of the Tanakh and we
- 8:54put it to use. As a matter of fact, there was a
- 8:57group that he formed called the Higher Squad.
- 9:00You know, throughout history in Yiddish there's a term called
- 9:03the Vildahaya, Vildahaya, the wild animal.
- 9:06This is usually means Ali's going there, a bunch of
- 9:08Vildahaya's, a bunch of wild animals and they're hurting the
- 9:11Jews, He said. The time has come for Jews to
- 9:14have a high squad, and the high squad was formed.
- 9:17And any time there was a problem, the highest squad would
- 9:20be called. And these guys, as Jewish guys
- 9:23came, whether it was to Brooklyn College or to Queen's College or
- 9:27to Avenue J or Williamsburg for whatever it was.
- 9:31And I can only tell you that when these Jews showed up, the
- 9:35gallium ran away. And at the time when the Jewish
- 9:38Defense League was formed, there was a group in New York called
- 9:40the Black Panthers. You don't want to mess with
- 9:43these guys, but the Jewish Defense League ended the threat
- 9:47against the Jewish community through a real serious actions
- 9:53on their part, without going into details and I joined the
- 9:56Jewish Defence League in the 70s.
- 9:58My wife was also in the Jewish defence.
- 9:59We didn't know each other at the time, and we were fighting
- 10:03primarily for the freedom of Soviet Jewry.
- 10:07Names like Joseph Mendel Levitch and Anatoly Sharansky and Marina
- 10:13Tiempkin and Aida Nudel and Yosef B Gun.
- 10:16These were Jews who were trapped behind the Iron Curtain.
- 10:20And every year there would be rallies.
- 10:23This was called Solidarity Sunday, and they would have all
- 10:26these demonstrations and trying to 'cause, you know, bring it to
- 10:32public awareness about what was happening that Jews could not
- 10:34leave. In the 70s, Jews could not leave
- 10:37Russia. They were trapped there.
- 10:39And Rabbi Kahana said all these protests, three, 400,000 people
- 10:43would come on a Solidarity Sunday.
- 10:45It was obviously in April and it would be on like, I don't know,
- 10:48page 15 in the newspaper. So we would take a couple of JDL
- 10:52guys and we would physically block the roads on, you know, a
- 10:573rd Ave. and 61st Street where the Russian Embassy was.
- 11:01We would throw bottles of red paint through the windows of the
- 11:04Russian Embassy. And guess what?
- 11:05We were on page one. We put the Russian Jewish
- 11:10problem on page one of the New York Times.
- 11:13And this is to me, it really attracted me because I can't
- 11:18stand Jewish weakness. We need Jewish strength.
- 11:21And every holiday that we have, whether it's Hanukkah or whether
- 11:24it's Purim, it's always about Jewish strength.
- 11:27And this is what we need. Take a look at what's happening
- 11:30today, what happened in Australia, what's happening all
- 11:33over the world. I I just understand that
- 11:35yesterday a bunch of Jewish kids had a run off of a train in New
- 11:41York because a bunch of anti semites got on, started yelling
- 11:44at them and they were going to light the menorah somewhere in
- 11:46Manhattan. They feared for their lives.
- 11:48Jews stopped running, hit back, had hit back hard.
- 11:51This was the Jewish defensively. Then Robert Kahana made aliyah
- 11:55and started to talk about these concepts in Israel, specifically
- 11:59talking about driving the Arabs out of Israel.
- 12:02He said Israel is for Jews only and Arabs have 22 countries they
- 12:06need to leave. Obviously that's a very
- 12:07controversial a message and he was not accepted by everybody.
- 12:14But mainly the Sephardic Jews love that message.
- 12:17Do you know why? Because they grew up with the
- 12:19Arabs. They know the Arabs a lot better
- 12:21than anybody from the Western world knows them.
- 12:24And they loved his message. And he was elected to the
- 12:27Knesset in 1984 with one seat. Today the minimum number of
- 12:32seats you could have is 4. And you know you can't get into
- 12:35the Knesset today unless you have enough seats, enough votes
- 12:38for four seats. Then it was one seat.
- 12:41He was very popular in the Knesset.
- 12:43By 1988 when there was he was up for re election, polls had him
- 12:47anywhere between 7:00 and 12:00 seats.
- 12:50But the Israeli Knesset couldn't deal with his views and they
- 12:54banned him for various reasons, and they did not allow him to
- 12:58run in 1988. The only one that was banned
- 13:01from running Rabbi Mayor Kahana, an Orthodox rabbi who based
- 13:05everything on the Torah. And unfortunately, two years
- 13:08later, at a speech in a Manhattan hotel, El Sayed
- 13:13Nosairya Machimo assassinated him.
- 13:16He was killed in Yudh Kheshwan, I think it was November 4th,
- 13:211990, and he was brutally murdered in Manhattan.
- 13:25And he's been gone now for 35 years.
- 13:30Tremendous loss to the Jewish nation.
- 13:32And I took upon myself to continue spreading his message
- 13:37of Jewish strength, of Jewish unity.
- 13:40The love that he had for every Jew was incredible.
- 13:43And yes, even though he is controversial and people say
- 13:47schmool back off from him, On the contrary, he is what has
- 13:52he's the reason I moved to Israel.
- 13:54He's, he instilled values in US of, of, of, of strong and, and,
- 14:01and strength rather and pride and discipline.
- 14:04And it's something that gives me great happiness when I'm able to
- 14:07spread his message. In short, Rabbi America, Hannah,
- 14:10you're looking down from us, from Shamayan.
- 14:12I hope I make you proud and we will hopefully bring your
- 14:16message to fruition. Wow, wow, that was I'm.
- 14:23Going to let you handle this. One please.
- 14:25Oh my God, I have so many questions and it was hard for me
- 14:27not to jump in because you just kept going and it was very
- 14:30informative. Very, I feel like I have a good
- 14:33breath of the background as to, you know, who this Rabbi America
- 14:36Hannah was and what he stood for.
- 14:38But I have a lot of questions and please bear with me because
- 14:41go ahead. You may find some of these
- 14:43questions a little antagonistic. You may find them to be a little
- 14:45combative. I've always told people you
- 14:47could ask me whatever you want, but just be prepared for my
- 14:50answer. Sure, sure.
- 14:51No. I would love to have this
- 14:52exchange with you because I actually want to get educated in
- 14:54this. This is something that I'm sure
- 14:56a lot of people have a little bit of uncertainty around,
- 14:59right? There's a little bit of
- 15:00uncertainty because there's a fine line for the Jewish people
- 15:03in our history. We've always been persecuted.
- 15:06We've always been the victims, so to speak, right?
- 15:08And pretty much every single storyline.
- 15:10And then we have certain celebrations for holidays where,
- 15:13you know, we were about, we were in peril and, you know, we were
- 15:16in jeopardy and our lives were in danger and we got saved
- 15:19through some type of miracle. Very, very rarely do we see in
- 15:24our history where the Jews sort of fought back, right?
- 15:27Where we were in a position of strength where, you know, we
- 15:31didn't have to worry about enemies, you know, attacking us
- 15:34because we're well fortified. Typically.
- 15:36We were always caught off guard. We're always vulnerable.
- 15:39And we needed those miraculous things to happen in order to get
- 15:42saved. And it's sort of been our MO.
- 15:43It's sort of almost been taken for granted.
- 15:46Like this is the way it's supposed to be.
- 15:48We're in exile. We no longer are part of the,
- 15:52you know, Messiah times that, you know, was back then that
- 15:54will eventually come one day. And we need to know our place.
- 15:57We need to know where we are. This is the reality.
- 16:00It hurts, it stings. And we know that, you know,
- 16:02anti-Semitism has been rampant around the globe for thousands
- 16:06of years, but it's almost like by design, that's the way it's
- 16:10supposed to be. And we've sort of accepted that.
- 16:13Then over time, different movements started happening.
- 16:17The, the, the state of Israel, you know, came about and started
- 16:21evolving and getting stronger. Where now Jewish people, there's
- 16:24a whole different identity to Jewish people today where like
- 16:28you said that he coined the term never again.
- 16:30He took that very seriously, as did a lot of people really say
- 16:33never again. And we're going to do everything
- 16:34in our power to sort of take matters into our own hands.
- 16:37So what I'd like to ask you is sort of where is that fine line
- 16:41that we can all agree on as to where's the point where we say
- 16:45we are in exile? We're not supposed to be that,
- 16:48you know, dominant race. We're not supposed to be at a an
- 16:51executive level. You know, we're supposed to be
- 16:53toned down, but still not beaten up, not killed, you know, not
- 17:00persecuted to the point that we have no sense of stability
- 17:03wherever we go. Like where is that line that we
- 17:05can sort of all agree on? Because I feel like America,
- 17:08Hana's version is to the extreme side of saying, do whatever we
- 17:12can to gain that upper hand and let's form the state of Israel,
- 17:16kick out all the, the Arabs like they have no right to the land
- 17:18whatsoever, right? He's taking a very extreme
- 17:21stance, which I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong, I
- 17:24don't know. But what I do know is that we
- 17:27have for a very long time, great rabbis have come and gone and no
- 17:32one has taken that stance for a very long time that we need to
- 17:34defend ourselves. We need to rally the troops.
- 17:36We need to make sure that all the Jewish people unify and
- 17:38that, you know, we're, we're protecting ourselves.
- 17:40It's kind of not what's been done in the past and then over
- 17:44time that's evolved and there's a lot of extreme side to that
- 17:47now. So walk me through sort of where
- 17:49is that middle ground of what is that that fine balance of where
- 17:54we should be? Or is there no balance in your
- 17:56view or in your view is no, no, no, do whatever we can.
- 17:59Let's come out on top as if the. Messiah is here already and and
- 18:04the Jewish people need to be on top.
- 18:05Where's that line? I understand 100%.
- 18:08You know when you say that this has never been done, you're
- 18:10right. But what makes a person a great
- 18:13leader is that person does things that have never been done
- 18:16before. There was never Hasidut until
- 18:18the Baal Shemtov came and found the Hasidic movement.
- 18:21And these are things that for hundreds of what there was.
- 18:25All of a sudden you need the Hasidic movement.
- 18:28All of a sudden you need the Solanta to form the Musser
- 18:32movement. Yes.
- 18:33Now you needed the Musser movement, now you needed the
- 18:36Hasidic movement, and now we need the Jewish Defense
- 18:38movement. We're not looking to take over
- 18:40New York and we're not looking to take over Sydney, Australia,
- 18:45but the days. Of, of of.
- 18:47Persecution of Jews, the days of beating up Jews are over.
- 18:50I don't accept the fact that, well, you know, this is what
- 18:53happens. We're scapegoat, we're always
- 18:55scapegoats and we're blamed for things.
- 18:57And we'll just have to put our head low and we can't wear our
- 19:00keep it anymore if this country has Jewish freedom.
- 19:05And the most beautiful thing about the United States of
- 19:08America is that you could express your religion and you
- 19:11could practice it freely. Again, I live in Israel now, but
- 19:15I grew up in the United States, and I worked in Manhattan for,
- 19:20you know, big companies, RCA, Global Communications.
- 19:22I wore my keeper. I had a beard.
- 19:25I took my clients to kosher restaurants.
- 19:27And I was always the top, one of the top three salesman in the
- 19:31entire country out of 270 salespeople.
- 19:33And I did it with a keeper and I did it with Torah values and and
- 19:37I would never allow myself to be persecuted.
- 19:41There's no reason for that to happen.
- 19:42So we're not looking to form an army.
- 19:45We're not looking to take over. But we're not going to be that
- 19:48nebish weak people anymore. We are the children of God.
- 19:53Kurdish bar who saved us, excuse me, selected us.
- 19:56When we get called up to the Torah, we say I share Bahar Banu
- 20:00Mikola. I mean Hashem, God Almighty God,
- 20:03King of Kings, you chose us. 7 billion people in the world, how
- 20:07many Jews are there .002% Hashem chose us.
- 20:12We need to walk with our heads high.
- 20:15Ramakana always taught us that pride on the individual level is
- 20:21something very bad. We need to live modest, humble
- 20:24lives. However, we're not allowed to be
- 20:27modest and humble on the national level.
- 20:30And this is something that people constantly forget.
- 20:34You know, when we were thrown out of Israel, you mentioned in
- 20:37the exile about 2000 years ago. So we were living in communities
- 20:42and we also were individual Jews, but the concept of the
- 20:45nation was lost. There was no, I'm Israel when
- 20:48the when when, when Jews are all over the world.
- 20:51But now we're back as of 1948, we're back in Israel and we are
- 20:55the Jewish nation. And that's why all these anti
- 20:58Sammites always say today I'm not against the Jews, I'm
- 21:01against Israel. They see the same thing that
- 21:06Israel, the state of Israel and Jews are one and the same.
- 21:10And you need to be strong and you need to take a stand.
- 21:14And therefore I implore every single person to get a legal,
- 21:20again, a legal weapon. There's no question about it.
- 21:24Robert County used to say every Jew at 22.
- 21:26He always said, I wanted to say every Jew at M16, but it doesn't
- 21:30rhyme. But again, get a weapon legally,
- 21:34again, following all the laws because as Zev Jabotinsky once
- 21:39said, better to have and not need, the need and not have.
- 21:43So Jews need to know how to protect themselves.
- 21:45Jews need to be able to take Krav Maga and courses in
- 21:48self-defense. And I'm not saying that, you
- 21:52know, when somebody sees a Jew walking down the street, Oh my
- 21:54God, a Jew, let's run away. He could beat us up.
- 21:57Jackie Mason used to talk about that, but it's something that we
- 22:00have to shed. Who says that we have to be the
- 22:03persecuted one for 2000 years? We can't rewrite history, but
- 22:08those days are over and Jews need to be able to defend
- 22:11themselves and be proud of who. They are interesting, and I can
- 22:17resonate with what you're saying.
- 22:18But wouldn't you agree that there is a fine line between
- 22:23being proud of who you are and not being afraid to, you know,
- 22:27share your identity with the world versus getting a little
- 22:30bit, you know, encroaching on taking matters into your own
- 22:34hands through violence, which means that if somebody you know,
- 22:38is threatening you, you're allowed to, you know, take
- 22:40action prior to them hurting you.
- 22:43But here we're almost going a little bit of level above that.
- 22:46It's we really want to make a name for ourselves.
- 22:49We're we're taking action in a drastic way to scare people off.
- 22:54Don't mess with us again. And what that is going to entail
- 22:57is going out and making moves and, you know, being, being out
- 23:01there and, you know, being engaged in in some kind of I, I,
- 23:05I don't want to say, you know, threatening environment, but it
- 23:09just sounds like this is forming your own army, so to speak.
- 23:13Let me ask you a question. This past Shabbos I went to shul
- 23:16and the Young Israel of Lawrence Cedarhurst, beautiful community,
- 23:19beautiful shul. There are three off duty cops
- 23:22standing there. All the doors are locked, only
- 23:25one door is unlocked where people come in and out of, and
- 23:28there are three armed guards. Do you think that's normal for
- 23:30three armed guards to stand in a shul on Shabbos morning?
- 23:35Why do we have that? Because we become a target.
- 23:38Why have we become a target? Because we're weak and I'm
- 23:40telling you right now the the world needs to know that we're
- 23:44not not going to be weak. We're not going to take this
- 23:46anymore. And this is something again, I
- 23:49look at the foreman army, but I'd also don't want to have to
- 23:51rely on three off duty cops to protect us as we dive in Shabbos
- 23:55morning. It's always been my challenge.
- 23:57My challenge has always been, you're right.
- 23:58I'm like, so appreciating what you're saying, we shouldn't be
- 24:02weak. Gone are the days where we get
- 24:04trampled on. Gone are the days when we can't
- 24:07raise a family without fear of someone coming and destroying
- 24:10our family. Like, why can't we live in
- 24:12peace? Leave us alone.
- 24:13We don't want what you have. Please don't want what I have.
- 24:16Let let us be. Let's live in peace and harmony.
- 24:18That hasn't worked. We haven't lived in harmony.
- 24:20Wherever we are around the world, someone finds a way to
- 24:23make us a scapegoat and someone just finds a way to just, you
- 24:27know, harass us. Yes, true.
- 24:28So what's the other option? The other option is to take a
- 24:31stand and to reinforce ourselves and just, you know, come out on
- 24:35top. Peace through strength, right?
- 24:37You got to be strong. But here's my challenge.
- 24:39Up to what point? Up to what point where?
- 24:43We're not meant to be elitists, right?
- 24:45We're not meant to show the world that we're better than
- 24:47everybody else. And this has been promised to
- 24:50us, and that's why we're retaking what is ours.
- 24:53It doesn't sit so well. And then it makes us hate us
- 24:56even more. Like it's almost
- 24:57counterintuitive. Where is that borderline?
- 25:00At what point are we content to say that to this point?
- 25:03Because let's face it, we are more safe today.
- 25:05I know it sounds crazy because it's unbelievable what's going
- 25:08on in the world than we were 500 years ago, right?
- 25:13Jewish blood was cheap for for so long that you could murder a
- 25:16Jew on the streets And, and, and nothing was done about it.
- 25:19It was encouraged, it was applauded.
- 25:21And today we, we're more civilized there.
- 25:23There is more laws that do protect human rights, not just
- 25:26for Jews, but for all kinds of nationalities and races across
- 25:29the world. It's not what?
- 25:30So to what point are we going to take this?
- 25:32Like America hottest version was let's take over the entire
- 25:35Israel. Let's kick it all the Jews.
- 25:36That almost sounds like whoa, I don't know about that.
- 25:39I mean, what I was taught is that, you know, when Mashiach
- 25:42comes one day is when's that time?
- 25:44How are we going to know? That's another question in
- 25:46itself. But this just does just doesn't
- 25:49sit well with me to go to this type of level.
- 25:52I'm almost scared off by it. Like I don't know if I want to
- 25:55be a part of this. I don't know if I agree, but I
- 25:58can't blame you, you for what you're doing.
- 26:00I totally understand it. I see the desire for you to say
- 26:03enough is enough. Let's get our act together.
- 26:05Let's make a Jewish country. There's 22 other Arab countries.
- 26:08Why shouldn't we have our own? It sounds appealing, It sounds
- 26:11great. But I just don't feel so right
- 26:15about it. OK, so so here's the answer in
- 26:17terms of the fine line, the difference is outside of Israel
- 26:21versus inside Israel. Outside of Israel, we're not
- 26:24looking to conquer, we're not looking to rule.
- 26:26We're looking to live quietly. And they should know it's not
- 26:29worth it to mess with the Jewish people, OK?
- 26:32We need to defend ourselves at all.
- 26:35Every legal method possible. We've discussed that in Israel.
- 26:39It's a different situation in Israel.
- 26:41We have an Israeli government. We have an Israeli army.
- 26:44And look what happens when you sit back quietly.
- 26:47You have what's called October 7th.
- 26:49Where did those Arabs come from? They came from within Israel.
- 26:53These were ones who worked in the Jewish kibbutz team.
- 26:56They were the ones who drew diagrams of where the people
- 26:59live and where the security officer is.
- 27:02And they gave this information to Hamas driving through the the
- 27:05towns of Judea and Samaria. And you're passing all these
- 27:08villages, Calculia, Janine, Ramallah.
- 27:11Why do we have to put up with all this dangerous situations?
- 27:16So there the answer is to be strong and to be strong and to
- 27:20let them know that it also it doesn't pay to, to, to, to mess
- 27:25with us. But in Israel, yes, there it is
- 27:28about conquering. There it is about taking over.
- 27:30And you want to something. This has nothing to do with
- 27:32Rabbi America Kahana. The Torah talks about when the
- 27:36seven nations were there, Yoshua Joshua was told to drive them
- 27:40out and if they wouldn't leave to kill everyone, Loisha Air
- 27:45Syria, to kill every single one, men, women and children.
- 27:48You know who says this? God.
- 27:50Now, I'm not saying that that's what we need to do today because
- 27:53we don't have the same situation.
- 27:54However, we need to have a strong, proud Jewish state where
- 27:58we could, where we could walk down the streets.
- 28:00You shall not be afraid of buses blowing up and not be afraid of
- 28:05drive by shootings. You know it.
- 28:07It's a sad situation. It's a sad reality when we have
- 28:12always have to look over our shoulder and look, we know that
- 28:15around us there are there's danger.
- 28:18Iran and Syria and Egypt and all these countries do we also have
- 28:22to be afraid inside the country? Rabbi Khanna was talking about
- 28:25this and his message was resonating with Israelis
- 28:29specifically, as I mentioned, Sephardic Jews who lived with
- 28:32the Arabs and knew there's no way to talk to these guys.
- 28:35They're going to sit over a coffee and cake and discuss it
- 28:37with them. This is what he discussed.
- 28:40I agree with you. It's not for everybody.
- 28:42It's not a message that resonates with everybody.
- 28:45And therefore that's the beauty of democracy.
- 28:47Vote for who you want, vote for who you identify with.
- 28:51But to me, this is what propels me.
- 28:53And This is why when I came to Israel and I saw Yitzhak Rabin
- 28:57and Shimon Peres giving away the land, and I knew that this would
- 29:01give rise to terror. So I started the group Zoret
- 29:04Seno, and which means this is our land.
- 29:07And we fought against the Oslo Accords and we were were
- 29:10arrested. I was arrested 15 times and
- 29:12civil, nonviolent civil disobedience.
- 29:15And then I was charged with sedition and 11 counts of
- 29:18incitement, a year and a half trial.
- 29:21And I was found guilty of sedition.
- 29:23Ladies and gentlemen, you're looking at a convicted felon.
- 29:26And I'm proud of it. It wasn't a felony, God forbid
- 29:28of, of hurting the children or drugs or robbing banks.
- 29:34Wouldn't do that in a million years.
- 29:36It was fighting for the Jewish nation.
- 29:38Had we been listened to back in 1990, 5 when we were screaming
- 29:41these things, we wouldn't have had an October 7th yet.
- 29:45I was sentenced to I was facing 20 years in prison and I was
- 29:48sentenced to one year in prison. And in the end it was switched
- 29:52to community service. I worked in a hospital for a
- 29:55year. My friend Moshe Fagley worked in
- 29:57a nursing home in Ranana and back to life.
- 30:00But I'm still an activist and still believe that what what
- 30:03Israel needs is strength and Israel needs.
- 30:07You wanna know something? When Israel's weak, that's when
- 30:10you have anti-Semitism around the world.
- 30:12This everything is rooted in the state of Israel.
- 30:15When Israel gives it a feeling of of Jewish strength throughout
- 30:20the world, Jews are proud. A friend of mine told me that
- 30:24after the six day war 1967, all of a sudden, you know, again,
- 30:29what an unbelievable miracle. Six days we liberated all these
- 30:33lands. A fellow comes out wearing a
- 30:36Jewish star and the guy said, you're Jewish.
- 30:40He said, did you see what my boys did to them?
- 30:44My boys, we never even we were friends of yours for 20 years,
- 30:46didn't even know you were Jewish.
- 30:48It brought out great national pride.
- 30:51So when Jews are strong, this is what we need.
- 30:54Am I looking to be the next Jewish Genghis Khan?
- 30:58God forbid. I'm simply talking about
- 31:00protecting the biblical homeland of the Jewish people and making
- 31:04sure the Arabs know they will never again raise their head to
- 31:09touch a Jewish Home, property, shul or individual.
- 31:13Totally understand, Mike. I'm sorry.
- 31:15I wanna not push back, but I'm getting educated here and I
- 31:19wanna expand on this a little bit more and sort of phrase my
- 31:21question in a little bit of a different way.
- 31:23OK, OK. And I'm coming out purely from a
- 31:25religious standpoint, and I am not an any means talking on
- 31:29behalf of religious people because I am the last person to
- 31:31observe as yeah, just talking as, you know, what others would
- 31:36potentially say and think, you know.
- 31:38And, you know, at the end of the day, there are certain religious
- 31:40foundations, you know, and baselines that we all believe
- 31:43in, in our history. I imagine there has been times
- 31:48where the Jewish nation had a country in Jerusalem where, you
- 31:52know, things were going very favorably for us.
- 31:55And it looked like we were on top of the world, right?
- 31:57It looked like everything was set and and this was going to
- 31:59last forever until it didn't, until God decided that this is
- 32:04not working. I'm not happy.
- 32:06And destruction and chaos. And we were we were exiled and
- 32:10cities were burned and and and thousands of people were were
- 32:14killed. Millions.
- 32:15Millions of people were killed, right?
- 32:17It happened, right? So there were times in our
- 32:19history that we had it together and we had an army and, you
- 32:24know, we had a nationality and we were recognized across the
- 32:27globe. And the Jewish people were
- 32:30pretty much like this. This was it.
- 32:31This is, this is the way God intended for it all to play out.
- 32:34And then it all fell apart. It all fell apart because that
- 32:36was God's will at some point. Which means that there is this
- 32:39is all hinging. Let me just finish.
- 32:41This is really all hinging on, on on like God's on God's will
- 32:46at the end of the day. Completely, completely incorrect
- 32:49because God didn't wake up 1 morning and decide to throw us
- 32:52out. We brought that upon ourselves.
- 32:54The reason for the first bait to mikdash destruction the first
- 32:57temple was because we the Jewish nation were involved in the
- 33:00three cardinal sins of adultery and idol worship and murder.
- 33:04And then when we rectified those sins and we had the second
- 33:07temple, it was destroyed because of sin Athena baseless hatred.
- 33:11It wasn't that God woke up one day and said you know what I'm
- 33:15not for this good life. I'm throwing you out and you're
- 33:17going to move to a Syria, Morocco and Germany and Poland.
- 33:20We brought it upon ourselves, and this is something we have to
- 33:23know. We have our fate in our hands.
- 33:26God has told us what to do, and when we don't listen, it's a
- 33:31punishment. Mipnet kata enu galinu merit
- 33:34senu. Because of our sins, we were
- 33:36exiled from the land. We brought it upon ourselves.
- 33:39So you think that there is a time that is in our future that
- 33:42the cards hold for us that we in your version, in your world
- 33:46where it's only Jewish people living in the state of Israel,
- 33:49correct. And we're running the show there
- 33:51and, you know, are are we going to be, you know, democratic to
- 33:54the point that, you know, we welcome the world to come there,
- 33:57you know, and you know, is it only Jews or or let?
- 33:59Me ask you a question, other people.
- 34:00Live there as well. Udavan, right.
- 34:02Udavan. Yes.
- 34:03One of the brohot in the schmunester is at Semak.
- 34:06David, what are you dividing for?
- 34:09You're dividing for the restoration of the divinic
- 34:11dynasty. Yeah.
- 34:12You are dividing for a king. Yeah, is it?
- 34:15Is it King Democracy? No.
- 34:19OK, so do you, do you want a king?
- 34:21Do you want a Jewish king? Listen, it's my understanding on
- 34:25my whole upbringing is that there's gonna come a time, and
- 34:27we'll know when that time is right that that's gonna all
- 34:30unfold. That's the dream.
- 34:31Not supposed to. Dream not No, that's that's your
- 34:35mistake. With all due respect, we are
- 34:37supposed to bring in ourselves. That's the at cult of the
- 34:40ghulah. That's the beginning of the
- 34:41redemption in 1948. This concept of we want Mashiach
- 34:46now. What do you mean we want
- 34:47mashiach? That song has to be changed to
- 34:50we'll bring Mashiach now. We are not a people that just
- 34:53sits and wants something. You don't feel good.
- 34:55Oh please Hashem send us health. Go to the doctor.
- 34:59Now go to the doctor and Davin. That's what Jews do.
- 35:01I need parnasa. Get a job.
- 35:03I'm looking for a wife. Go on a date.
- 35:06Do you understand? This is the type of thing that
- 35:08Jews need to do? Action plus fila equals success.
- 35:12Individual level, national level, no difference.
- 35:15You don't think this is calling attention to ourselves in a very
- 35:18negative way? You don't think that if we
- 35:20again, this mentality that you're Speaking of, of Masonic
- 35:23times of really just, you know, taking over and forming that
- 35:27that Jewish nation, it's just the the rest of the world is
- 35:31just gonna sit there and, and take it and accept it.
- 35:33No not at all, not at all. But do they love us now?
- 35:37We're doing everything the world wants us to do and
- 35:40anti-Semitism. Is that a post World War 2 high?
- 35:43Let me tell you something, Yoshi.
- 35:44When you do what the world wants, they will hate you
- 35:47anyway. And no matter what we do, when
- 35:49there's a tsunami or there's an earthquake, who's the first
- 35:53phone call they make to Israel? Because Israel has to send the
- 35:56field hospital, whether it's to Haiti or it's to Phuket or
- 36:00Indonesia, all these places around the world where Israel
- 36:03helps these survivors of these of these natural disasters.
- 36:08So they know who to call. They will rank us out in the UN
- 36:11every day. They will vote against this
- 36:13night and day, but the bottom line is let's stop worrying
- 36:16about the world and do what's good for I'm Israel and I'm
- 36:20Israel needs Erit Israel following Torati Israel.
- 36:24That's the dream. So interesting, you know, again,
- 36:27this makes sense to me and I, I'm on your team all the way.
- 36:30I mean, if there's a way to really, is this a path to this
- 36:33that could be sustainable and that, you know, great.
- 36:36I just wonder where are all these big rabbis for the last
- 36:392000 years? Nobody came up with this
- 36:41thought. Nobody said it's time to take a
- 36:43stand, guys, it's time to stop taking this on the chin enough.
- 36:46How many beatings could we take? We, we got to get around and
- 36:49they had money for many years. Jews were never in a position
- 36:52where they were all poor. There was at some point in time
- 36:55they were able to get that funds together, you know, start.
- 36:58Why? Why has nobody done anything
- 36:59till now? So I'm telling you, I have I, I
- 37:02write a lot. I write different articles.
- 37:03I'm working on a book. And I I spoke to a woman who
- 37:06lives in Queens and I said to her, do it, do me a favor, go to
- 37:11different Shoals than Shabbos and listen to the rabbis speak
- 37:15and tell me when they speak about the state of Israel, when
- 37:18they speak about the nation. She came back to me about two
- 37:21months later. She says Shmuel, I feel like
- 37:24it's Tish above. She says I've done did exactly
- 37:27what you said. I went to all the different
- 37:29Scholes and everyone's talking about and again, not to
- 37:32underestimate the importance of not talking lashin hara and
- 37:37doing. I said these are very important
- 37:39things. Mitzvot are 100%.
- 37:40I don't want to be taken the wrong way.
- 37:42We must learn Torah and learn tafiomi and, and which I do and,
- 37:47and not talk lashin hara and make our brahot 100%.
- 37:51But what about the nation? How come nobody's talking about
- 37:54the national side of, of, of our religion.
- 37:57Everyone's talking about just the individual and the communal
- 38:00level. This is galut man, this is
- 38:03exile. And that's why when Rabbi Khanna
- 38:05came and talked and that's why when it when it when I moved to
- 38:08Israel and I met these rabbanim in Israel who talk about
- 38:11Harabayat, the Temple Mount and who talk about redemption and
- 38:15talk about settling the land on a national side.
- 38:19It lit my fire. This is what I'm I'm I'm
- 38:23imploring all your listeners come to Israel, not just to move
- 38:27there, but I tell people get mad mad stands for make a
- 38:31difference. Come to Israel, build the land,
- 38:34grow it, plant trees, defend the land, join the army, fight the
- 38:40Jewish enemy, drive him out of the land, make a difference that
- 38:44they know. I told my I told my kids are
- 38:46ready after 120. I tell you what what I want you
- 38:49to write on my tombstone. Hey, Elijah Woolsacker.
- 38:52He tried to make a difference. That's all I want.
- 38:55I want to make a difference. I want to bring the gula one day
- 38:59closer. And if I succeed in doing that,
- 39:02I'll be happy. What is the ullah hinging on is
- 39:05God waiting for us to take action Yes and that's all right.
- 39:08You guys made the first move. Let me finish it all of.
- 39:10Course, I believe that. I don't think.
- 39:11That's how we bring the. Gula yes, I don't think God is
- 39:14just sitting there and you know, waiting for someday to come.
- 39:17Beita Ahishena in it's time I will hasten it, which is an
- 39:22oxymoron. How could it?
- 39:23If something comes in it's time, then Hashem didn't make it fast.
- 39:26If if he made it fast, didn't come in his time.
- 39:28Zaha akhishena lozahab ETA well known midrash.
- 39:32Which means if we merited, if we do what needs to be done, Hashem
- 39:38will hasten the gula. It says in all this
- 39:40Pharmacodocian and especially Kolhatur written by the Villa
- 39:43Nagorn that Hashem cries every day that there's no Gula.
- 39:47You think Hashem wants to see us killed in Sydney, Australia?
- 39:50You think Hashem wants to see what happened on on 7th of
- 39:53October? It hurts Hashem more than it
- 39:56hurts us. And therefore we need to tell
- 39:59Hashem enough is enough. We are going to do what needs to
- 40:02be done to bring the Gula, to build the land, to defend the
- 40:06land, to bring the Jews from Arabic Khanfur to Aritz, the
- 40:09four corners of the globe. You know, everybody davens for
- 40:12Mushiyaq, but there's two mushiyaqs.
- 40:13Which mushiyaq are we davening for, Mushiq Ben Yosef or Mushiq
- 40:17Ben Davil? The answer, believe it or not,
- 40:19is. What's the difference?
- 40:20Mushiya Ben Yosef. This is according to the
- 40:22Vilnagom. Let me tell you his job in this
- 40:25in the safer kolatur. This is what he writes.
- 40:27The Mushiq Ben Yosef is going to do kibbutz Kaliot in Gathering
- 40:32of the Exiles, He's going to build the land of Israel, he's
- 40:35going to settle Ushalayim, and he's going to build a beta
- 40:40Mikdash. All done, Mushiq Ban Yosef.
- 40:43When that's done, hin walks Mashek Ben David.
- 40:46He sits on a throne with a sceptre and he says, OK, I'm in
- 40:48charge Joe, you can go from here.
- 40:51Mashek Ben Yosef is the one who's going to do, for lack of a
- 40:54better term, The Dirty work. And that's us.
- 40:57I could tell you, I think I know who Mashek Ben Yosef is these
- 41:01days. It's not a person, it's Medinati
- 41:04Israel. It's the state of Israel.
- 41:06Because if you think about it, who's doing the kibbutz Scalia,
- 41:08Who's bringing the Jews home? Who's fighting the battles,
- 41:11Who's building the land, Who's trying to settle the state of
- 41:15Israel with all the problems? Believe me, as many problems as
- 41:19you think there are in the State of Israel, I could add another
- 41:21150. So excuse me, there are many,
- 41:24many problems, but we are fighting for Jewish rights and
- 41:29this is nothing less than the final redemption.
- 41:32See, I'm starting to get it now. I'm starting to get the the
- 41:35distinction of where you're going and where a lot of the
- 41:38mainstream people are at. It's not about self-defense.
- 41:41Not at all. It's not self-defense.
- 41:43It's not I don't want to be at risk or at fear of getting
- 41:48killed and not being able to live in peace.
- 41:50I want to take over, I want to Fast forward the redemption and
- 41:54I wanna create this nationality in this Kingdom of the Jewish
- 41:58people in Israel. And that's a very far leap
- 42:01that's already goes beyond just of what we started out with.
- 42:05What I was hearing is the JDL and movements like this is pick
- 42:09up your arms and shoot back and if you.
- 42:12Need to shoot first, that is help yourself.
- 42:14This is already going. That's an as I mentioned, the
- 42:17distinction is outside of Israel versus inside Israel.
- 42:20But you know what bothers me? How many Shoals in New York
- 42:23everybody say, oh, naturi Carta satmar, let me tell you
- 42:26something. How many Shoals Orthodox shalt
- 42:29talk about only from Shoals? How many from Shoals in the New
- 42:32York area say the blessing for the State of Israel on Shabbos?
- 42:36I'll bet you can go all around Muncie and find maybe 2.
- 42:42Why? What are you?
- 42:44Why can't they bless the state of Israel?
- 42:47It says in in that bracha avinu avinu shabba shamayi, right
- 42:54Surya, it talks about it talks about the beginning of the
- 42:59redemption. What?
- 43:01What scares them? What scares them?
- 43:04We're talking about nothing less than the redemption for Hashem's
- 43:08glory. Not about me.
- 43:09Who cares about Schwalzacker? I'm talking about a Kurdish
- 43:11baraku. This is This is why after every
- 43:15desecration of God's name, there's a great kid of Shashem.
- 43:18The biggest desecration was the Holocaust.
- 43:20Right after that came the state of Israel.
- 43:22Because of Hashem's name, we had to continue.
- 43:25Take a look at Rav Salavechik. That's all rights about that.
- 43:29He used to cry during the Holocaust clergy, non Jewish
- 43:34clergy would come to the greater of Salavechek and said you're
- 43:38the chosen people. Where's your God?
- 43:40How's your God allowing this to happen?
- 43:43He said, I, I, I would cry over the suffering of of my Jewish
- 43:46brothers, but I would cry more. He writes over the suffering of
- 43:49Hashem. This is what the non Jewish
- 43:51world was saying, he says, and in somewhat my, my happiness.
- 43:56Now he uses a different word. I forget my comfort was restored
- 43:59when the state of Israel came up.
- 44:01So this is what we have to do to fight for Hashem's battles.
- 44:04And you're right, Oshi, you don't hear that here.
- 44:07And that's the problem. We need to, we need to,
- 44:09especially to the youth, tell them the future is an Eritrea,
- 44:13not because it's, it's this. So that that's a place to eat
- 44:16shawarma, which I recommend, by the way, especially with extra
- 44:19Trina. In any case, that's the place to
- 44:21build the Jewish land, bring home the Jews.
- 44:25And yes, welcome Mashiach. You know, we're very divided on
- 44:28this. It's a problem.
- 44:30You have a is there is there something we're not divided on?
- 44:33Oh, but this is 2 Jews can't pick the same hetrogue can't
- 44:36can't agree on the same hetrogue.
- 44:37Right, right, right. I agree.
- 44:39We have like, you know, I wanna say half of the, you know,
- 44:42Jewish people that not only aren't on, you know, this
- 44:45bandwagon, they vehemently disagree.
- 44:48They think that what, you know, the Jews in Israel that are so
- 44:51pro as well are doing is actually one of the reasons why
- 44:54we're progressing a lot of the hate that's out there.
- 44:57And we're sort of self inflicting a lot of this on
- 44:58ourselves by taking these very extreme stances.
- 45:02And and that's kind of their version of it.
- 45:04Now, I think there's a majority of Jews, I think we could all
- 45:07agree on is that Israel is there.
- 45:10It is a state. We have over 2 million Jews
- 45:12living there right now. 7,000,007 billion Jews.
- 45:15I'm sorry, I'm 7 million, 2 million from 7 million Jews.
- 45:17Wow, Yep. What is that, like 5060% of the
- 45:20Jews in the world? It's over 50% of the Jewish
- 45:23population of the world. Amazing.
- 45:25So yeah. So we have to protect it at all
- 45:27costs. We're there.
- 45:28It is what it is. Whether you agree how it formed,
- 45:30whether you don't agree, how we are there.
- 45:32And it's precious and it's Jewish blood.
- 45:35And we got to make the best life for them over there and do
- 45:37whatever it takes, even an army. I I agree with that.
- 45:40We we need to defend ourselves for sure, but how far do we want
- 45:44to take this like you it? It sounds like global domination
- 45:48almost is really the end goal here.
- 45:50You want to build them as back? Are you building the base of
- 45:52Mikdash next? So that would love.
- 45:53To and you're perfect. I would love to.
- 45:55So. So we're doing.
- 45:56Why not tell me why not? We're supposed to be doing that.
- 45:59I believe so. I believe so, but we're not
- 46:01there yet. We first have to bring in the
- 46:03Jews and we have to 1st settle the land.
- 46:06But I I believe yes on the bucket list this before
- 46:09Schmulsaki goes in 120, I want to make to make this build.
- 46:13I don't believe for one second that it's going to come down
- 46:15from Shamay and there is a dot Yahi, the single opinion that
- 46:19it's going to come like how to basically.
- 46:21Make this get built. Who made that decision?
- 46:23How did that? Ezra, Ezra and Hemia came from
- 46:27the you know, again, we were prophets.
- 46:29They were prophets. Yes, they were prophets.
- 46:32And that's just what we lack today.
- 46:33There's no question about it, however, and This is why the
- 46:37Greeks thought that they could destroy us in the Second Temple
- 46:40'cause we didn't have prophets, but they didn't know we had
- 46:43something in many ways greater than the prophets.
- 46:46Rabbanim, great rabbis, who again, the whole Torah, Shabal
- 46:51PE was written during the Second Temple period.
- 46:53Of course you have Shmayan Aftalion and, and, and base
- 46:57Shamayan Basil and Rabbi Akiva. All that Arabic was just after
- 47:00that. But nevertheless, all the great
- 47:02rabbis were in the time of the Second Temple because we didn't
- 47:05have the profits. This is not a religion where we
- 47:09need profits. We know what has to be done.
- 47:12And does that mean that we should be able to make that make
- 47:14tomorrow? No, but it should definitely be
- 47:17on our radar. It should be a dream of ours and
- 47:21it should be something we move towards each and every day.
- 47:23I'm not looking for global dominion.
- 47:25I'm not looking to. I don't want to be the next
- 47:27Alexander the Great. I'm not interested in taking
- 47:30over the world. I'm interested in a country the
- 47:32size of New Jersey. So that's it.
- 47:35And now let's let's in a perfect world, let's play it out.
- 47:38So we are safe, as you know, makes sense to be in Israel.
- 47:43We're controlling it. It's pretty much Jews living
- 47:45there or other non Jews, but very peacefully.
- 47:47They're not, you know, they're not being antagonistic and you
- 47:50know, they're not, they're not looking to to do anything
- 47:53harmful to everybody else. And and it's all going well for
- 47:55the most part. What what happens next?
- 47:58So we just start living and you know what happens next?
- 48:04What happens next? Am I supposed to now go and pick
- 48:07myself up and go and move to Israel or or Yeah.
- 48:10Yes. So Jews from all over the world
- 48:12now, guys, we got it together. Israel is ours.
- 48:15It's well fortified. We're protected.
- 48:17No one can attack us. Let's go.
- 48:19Everybody ring the bell. Everybody come show up.
- 48:22And and and Olivia and And then what?
- 48:24And then now what? And then we established the the
- 48:26Sanhedrin and they can appoint the melech.
- 48:32OK, Yeah, we have. We have.
- 48:35We institute all the things that we had, you know, 2000 years ago
- 48:38when we had a base megadash. We we literally take it back to
- 48:41to the ancient times and follow all of our traditions and and go
- 48:44through. Oh, man, you're, you're, you're
- 48:49telling me. You're telling us the dream.
- 48:51This is the, this is the Jewish dream.
- 48:53What do you think the Jewish dream is?
- 48:56A, a, a, a week, a weekend in some Glat kosher hotel in Puerto
- 48:59Rico. This is the Jewish dream.
- 49:02The Sanhedrin, the melech and and and and and the beta miktash
- 49:07and the coengata. Yes, it's the dream.
- 49:09Is it going to happen tomorrow? I don't think so.
- 49:12But this is something that we need to work towards each and
- 49:15every day. And you want to send, you know
- 49:18what's my job? My job is to make sure you have
- 49:21that dream too. Because with all due respect,
- 49:24you don't have it right now. And I don't blame you.
- 49:26I am blame all the teachers that all the years had you in front
- 49:29of them and talk talk nonsense to you and didn't focus your
- 49:33head on the Jewish nation. We'll open your head up.
- 49:37We'll, we'll, we'll put in some good things about Amistrel.
- 49:39Look, this is not just me. This is, you know, this is how
- 49:42our schools right now, correct, are being driven.
- 49:44This is what they do. This is what they talk about.
- 49:47And I was told that one day someone's going to show up and
- 49:50make an announcement and it's time, guys, you'll know what it.
- 49:54Is because, you know, you know who says that?
- 49:56The other guys, the Christians say that the one guy's going to
- 49:59come JC and he's going to announce I'm here.
- 50:01That is not a Jewish concept. A guy's going to walk in and
- 50:04say, oh, by the way, you know who I am, I amashi.
- 50:06That is not a Jewish concept. A Jewish concept is he is the
- 50:11Mela hamashiach. In order to be a Mela, you have
- 50:14to be appointed by the Navi. The Navi can only be established
- 50:17by the Sanhedrin. The Sanhedrin has to come first.
- 50:20There's a process. A guy coming in and declaring
- 50:23who he is plays for the other team.
- 50:25Interesting. And you've devoted your life to
- 50:27this. That's right.
- 50:28This is your life mission. Every waking day you wake up,
- 50:31this is what you think about. And you ask yourself, what can I
- 50:33do today to further advance this cause?
- 50:36Correct. Instituting the Jewish
- 50:38redemption and the rebirth of all the Jewish people in the
- 50:41State of Israel. 100% correct. And that's why I pray for health
- 50:45for myself and for everybody else so that we could see this
- 50:48to fruition. We're building the land, we're
- 50:50building the hilltop communities all across Israel.
- 50:53The. Average Jewish citizen today
- 50:54share your sentiments to this levels or are they just content
- 50:57with defending themselves? They're OK, you know, to live in
- 51:01harmony with others as well. And they're not looking for
- 51:03anything more than just leave me be, let me live my life, let me
- 51:06practice my religion here. Like, is that the average
- 51:09citizen of of? The average citizen of Israel,
- 51:11right, just wants to be and go on his trips and and that's
- 51:14fine. And that's absolutely fine
- 51:16because again, as we're recording this on Hanukkah,
- 51:19Hanukkah is about Rabin Padma team.
- 51:23The, the, the, the, the, the majority, the massive were the
- 51:26hands of the few. Leadership is a what do they
- 51:29say? A few good men.
- 51:31That's an American expression. All we need is a few good men.
- 51:34I'm prepared to be one of those leaders, to lead the masses.
- 51:38The masses. I understand they want a good
- 51:39piece of cheesecake. So do I.
- 51:41And they want, you know, to make a nice parnassa.
- 51:44And they want their kids married and they want to go on vacation.
- 51:47Fine, we'll lead them in that direction.
- 51:49And three times a year, they'll also go to the base and make
- 51:51this, bring up some carbonos, carbon peso.
- 51:54No problem with that. Who says you can't have a good
- 51:56piece of cheesecake? Is the JDL?
- 51:57Still active today. No, unfortunately it's not.
- 52:00When Robert Connor was murdered, it did that.
- 52:02That movement ended, but I think you could use one in New York,
- 52:06especially with Mamdani headed your way.
- 52:08But that's a discussion for another.
- 52:09Day, you know, if you look at what Satmar is doing to Mamdani
- 52:13is like, you know, if you can't beat him, sort of join him.
- 52:16You know, they've taken that stance, right?
- 52:17And they've embraced him. They've welcomed them into their
- 52:21community in a big way. And it's interesting to see that
- 52:25because in one side of this guy's mouth, he's pretty much
- 52:28talking about, you know, globalizing the intifada.
- 52:30And we all know what that means. Whether they want to define it
- 52:33in that way or not, we know what deep down the root of it, what
- 52:36it means. And in another corner of his
- 52:38mouth, he's talking about, you know, protecting the Jewish
- 52:39people in New York City. He's very clear it time.
- 52:42He talks about the Jewish people.
- 52:43My priority is the Jewish people of New York City, right?
- 52:47Because it's the diplomatic thing for him to do.
- 52:49But it's so interesting because they're taking the opposite
- 52:51stance of the JDL. And this is almost the
- 52:53traditional way, which is let's try to, you know, not bow down,
- 52:57but conform to the, you know, to the current leadership, the non
- 53:02Jewish leadership and hope that they are going to give us a pass
- 53:06and that they're going to, you know, we're going to get along.
- 53:08But we all know it doesn't work. History has taught us it doesn't
- 53:11work. It also does not work.
- 53:13It doesn't work, correct. The question remains though,
- 53:16like, is that supposed to be our model?
- 53:18Like is that like, you know, this is how it's always been and
- 53:21if you don't do something different, you're going to get
- 53:23the same result. So, you know, you're taking a
- 53:25whole another stance where you're going to the opposite
- 53:27extreme, right? And I think a lot of us are
- 53:29somewhat living in the middle and we're trying to balance a
- 53:32little bit more to the left and to the right depending on the
- 53:34time, depending what we what we've seen in front of us, we're
- 53:36making judgement calls as we go. Right.
- 53:38The problem is you're not hearing enough from my side.
- 53:40That's the problem, yeah. So that's what I'm looking to
- 53:43change. How many people like you are
- 53:44there, out there Like what? How many people are representing
- 53:46this viewpoint that are active in government and politics that
- 53:50are, you know, activists? What's that like?
- 53:52I don't know the number, but there are many in Israel that
- 53:55feel this way, that are that are working towards the this.
- 53:58Tree today that represents this this viewpoint the most.
- 54:02In government today, there are few there's, there's Bengveer
- 54:06and this Motrich and there's some others and of course my
- 54:08dear friend Moshe Fraglin that was in the Knesset.
- 54:11That's looking to come back to the Knesset, to a political way
- 54:15of life. But again, we're the minority
- 54:18right now. We can't look at numbers.
- 54:20This is not, you know, a game of numbers.
- 54:23We have to lead. We have to educate.
- 54:27The whole thing is about education.
- 54:29You know, again, Hanukkah has the word inside, you know,
- 54:32education. It's all about educating the
- 54:35Jewish nation. So the right value let me.
- 54:37Put a bow on this. Now I'm up to my final question
- 54:39here. OK, OK.
- 54:43I'm giving you the green light. I found you 10,000 people,
- 54:47100,000 people in Israel who share your belief.
- 54:51They're ready to take up arms. They're ready to go to war.
- 54:54They're ready to roam the streets and cleanse, ethnically
- 54:57cleanse the state of Israel that it's only Jewish people.
- 55:00And you have the arsenal, you have the artillery, you have the
- 55:04technology, you have everything ready to go.
- 55:07Are you ready to go to war right now?
- 55:08Are you? Are you at the point that if you
- 55:10have the means? Is it time to galvanized, get
- 55:14the cavalry going? Are you green lighting this?
- 55:16Absolutely not. We're not talking about doing
- 55:20anything illegal. And by the way, I, I, I, I don't
- 55:23like the term ethnic cleansing. We are against ethnic cleansing.
- 55:28You should know something that the Arabs have lived in Israel
- 55:33for many, many years. And most of the Arabs, the Arabs
- 55:37under the age of 3070% of them want to leave Israel.
- 55:42They want, they want to live in Europe, they want to live in
- 55:44Italy. They want to, you know, come to
- 55:46the United States, they want to come to Canada.
- 55:48Let them go. We're not talking about ethnic
- 55:50cleansing. We're not.
- 55:51We're not the Jewish Nazis, God forbid, and we're talking about
- 55:55joining the Israeli army. We're talking about using the
- 55:58Israeli government. We're not talking about an armed
- 56:02struggle, Heaven forbid. We're not talking about a civil
- 56:06war. This is not something we're
- 56:07talking about. We're focused on the dream and
- 56:10we're prepared to accomplish and arrive at that dream through the
- 56:15legal means in the democratic process in the state of Israel.
- 56:20OK, that's the long way. That's the long way, but that's
- 56:24the way of the world and that's the way that we're going.
- 56:27So you believe that this is all going to be delivered through?
- 56:32Mankind and through the rich people.
- 56:33We're going to have to do it ourselves and we have to do it
- 56:36the right way. It's going to take time, like
- 56:38you said, going through the legal system.
- 56:39We're not talking about guerrilla tactics, right?
- 56:41We're not talking about ethnically cleansing.
- 56:44Like you said, no. We're talking about just, you
- 56:46know, a country that we can call our own, a country that we can
- 56:50call our home and that the the government is run by the Jewish
- 56:55people. So we can, you know, make sure
- 56:57the laws are in favor of of Jewish people, correct?
- 56:59We can practice our religion, not just openly, but proudly,
- 57:03and we can elevate the entire country to be where it's Jewish
- 57:07pride. And if you come into this
- 57:08country, we're all welcome. But this is under the Jewish
- 57:11realm and we can elevate the entire country to be where it's
- 57:15Jewish pride. And if you come into this
- 57:17country, we have our temple here and we have our sacrilegious
- 57:20that we do and, and, and this. And if you enjoy that culture
- 57:24and you appreciate it, you'll come welcome to be A to be a
- 57:26part of it. But if you're here, it's our
- 57:28rules under our roof. And that is the end goal for
- 57:32you. And that's what you're hoping to
- 57:33see one day. I couldn't have said it better
- 57:35myself. Well, thanks for joining
- 57:38everybody. This is listen.
- 57:41I have a couple of thoughts that I want to share, if that's OK
- 57:43with you. You don't fall asleep.
- 57:46No, not at all. By the way, you know, I've
- 57:48learned to have a lot of patience and and to be a
- 57:50listener and I'm enjoying every second of it.
- 57:52I actually enjoyed this a lot. Big fan of Israel, Big fan of
- 57:56your work, based on what I'm hearing.
- 57:58Love how you questioned everything.
- 58:00We're zeroing in on the education part, which I
- 58:03appreciate. It's not about the violence, no.
- 58:05Which brings me to my question. Mayor Khan is here.
- 58:08He comes to you right now. What are you asking?
- 58:10What do you do? What's the next step?
- 58:12And on that note, what's the call to action?
- 58:14What's the CTA? What are you asking from us as a
- 58:17nation? People living in Israel, people
- 58:20living in America, people living in France.
- 58:21What are you asking of us? What do you?
- 58:23What's the plan? So the people living outside of
- 58:26Israel, I have two words. Come home.
- 58:28I understand you can't come home tomorrow.
- 58:30There are businesses, there are homes and there are families and
- 58:32so on. I am a realist, but I say come
- 58:35home and come home for the real reason.
- 58:37And let me tell you something that I heard from a different
- 58:40Rabbi Kahana. This is Rabbi Americana's
- 58:42brother, Rabbi Nachman Khanna, who's still alive and well,
- 58:45moved to Israel from Brooklyn over 60 years ago.
- 58:49If you're familiar, there's a set of firm called the Main
- 58:51Menuhot. It's a pay Rashantosvo written
- 58:53by Reb Nachman Kahana. And he said, he said, you know,
- 58:57there's a big discussion whether or not moving to Israel is one
- 59:00of the 6/13. He says, let me tell you how I
- 59:03answer that question. Imagine a young couple, young
- 59:06you nice, you shivish couple gets married, you know, and
- 59:10beautiful, you know, they had a Vorta, They had a wedding.
- 59:13And now they're home for the first time on the night of the
- 59:17wedding. And before anything happens,
- 59:19we'll say Rifkala turns to Maisha and she says, Maisha, do
- 59:24me a favor. Tell me before anything happens
- 59:26tonight, why did you marry me? Why did you marry me?
- 59:31It's just the two of us. And he says, oh, Rifkala, you
- 59:35don't want to married you because now I could do so many
- 59:39more mitzvot. Ah, we could have a, you know,
- 59:42Prue or Vue and best not the same.
- 59:43We'll have a baby and it'll be a boy.
- 59:45Let's say it'll be a breast and a pig in her bed.
- 59:47And then we'll go, you know, can so many mitzvahs we won't have
- 59:50arguments. Shall I buy it now because I'm
- 59:53married to you, Rifkela, I could perform many more mitzvah than
- 59:57the Torah. And Nachman says if he answers
- 1:00:00that way, he's sleeping on the couch the first night, the first
- 1:00:04night he's sleeping on the couch.
- 1:00:06So I know how should he have answered?
- 1:00:08He should have answered. You know why I marry you.
- 1:00:10Because I was a broken soul. I was an incomplete person.
- 1:00:14You complete me together we're one neshama.
- 1:00:18My life is nothing without you. I need you to to have a full
- 1:00:23neshama, he says. If that's his answer, he'll have
- 1:00:27a very nice evening and a very beautiful life.
- 1:00:30He says same thing with moving to Israel.
- 1:00:33Don't move to Israel because there's a lot of myths.
- 1:00:35Would you can keep in Israel. There are Trumos and masters and
- 1:00:37all these different things you can only keep in Israel.
- 1:00:39Sorry, guys from Lakewood can't keep it there.
- 1:00:41But that's not why you should come to Israel.
- 1:00:44Should come to Israel because you're a broken person.
- 1:00:46You're a Jew who's broken. A Jew belongs with his nation in
- 1:00:51Amishel. And that's why you need to come.
- 1:00:54Not because of Mamdani and not because of years ago Obama.
- 1:00:58And not because of any other reason.
- 1:01:00Only because we're broken here. We need to come and rejoin and
- 1:01:06join ourselves with the rest of the Jews in Israel, the
- 1:01:08religious, in the secular and so on, and even as Sadmar in
- 1:01:12Israel, all of us together to form the Jewish nation.
- 1:01:15So that's message number one, to bring home the Jews as much as
- 1:01:20possible, the Jews. Don't run away from something,
- 1:01:23run towards. Run that.
- 1:01:25I would say beautiful because it's funny because I say those
- 1:01:28exact words. Don't run away, run towards, run
- 1:01:31towards the land of Israel. As far as the Jews in Israel
- 1:01:34also stop running and start building, start defending and
- 1:01:40start being being proud. And again, let's get our guys
- 1:01:43with our points of view into the government so that we have
- 1:01:48enough say in the government to move things in this direction.
- 1:01:53The whole Gaza war, what can I say?
- 1:01:56We lost so many Haya Lim. We're charging into buildings.
- 1:01:59Who charges into buildings? Who sends boys into burning
- 1:02:02buildings? Maybe there was a little Arab
- 1:02:04there and have to worry. Be careful.
- 1:02:07We don't want to hurt any innocent people.
- 1:02:09But my number one job is to bring that Hayao home, bring
- 1:02:13that soldier home to his wife and children or his or his
- 1:02:15parents. And that's my number one job.
- 1:02:18And we have to understand this is what we need to do.
- 1:02:21So the ones outside of Israel to come home, The ones inside of
- 1:02:24Israel build, defend and be strong in your Jewish values.
- 1:02:28You know, I, I met someone in Florida recently who told me
- 1:02:31that him, he was in the army in Israel and he said him and a few
- 1:02:35friends left Israel. I never actually heard that
- 1:02:38before in terms of someone leaving Israel and wanting to
- 1:02:41leave because he said I was afraid.
- 1:02:43I was afraid living in Israel. I was afraid for my kids to go
- 1:02:45to the bus. I was afraid for them to cross
- 1:02:47the street. And I was afraid for us to be
- 1:02:50living in a country where there's actual terrorism
- 1:02:52happening almost on a weekly basis.
- 1:02:55How do you respond to that? I feel for what he's saying and
- 1:02:59I feel that we should, we should cry when we hear a Jew saying
- 1:03:03that to to not be safe in Poland, that's one thing.
- 1:03:07To not be safe even on the streets in New York.
- 1:03:09Like I said, what could you do? You do the best you can to not
- 1:03:12be safe in the streets of you shall I am.
- 1:03:14Excuse me, but he's right. Unfortunately, he's right.
- 1:03:18And that's what needs to be changed.
- 1:03:19And that's what we're hoping when we talk about Jewish
- 1:03:22strength again, not ethnic cleansing, but we're talking
- 1:03:25about the fact that the army and the police won't allow this to
- 1:03:29happen. The bad guys need to know that
- 1:03:31if they raise their head, they will be dealt a serious blow.
- 1:03:35You have an organization, you do a raffle for it every year.
- 1:03:38I that's also one of the commercials you were doing with
- 1:03:42inspiration for the nation and you were doing something.
- 1:03:45Let's let's get away from this topic for just one minute and
- 1:03:49talk about that side of things because we're going to have to
- 1:03:51come to a close in very soon. But before I do, I just want to
- 1:03:54hear about your day-to-day. You have an organization, you do
- 1:03:57an amazing raffle for eight years.
- 1:03:59I believe this is your 8th year where you're giving away an
- 1:04:02apartment in Israel. That's right, super cool.
- 1:04:04So as every Jewish organization, you know, many years ago I met
- 1:04:10somebody from from California and he gave me his card at the
- 1:04:14Jewish organization. He wrote that he ran and it said
- 1:04:17we are very nonprofit organization.
- 1:04:21Organizations need to raise money.
- 1:04:24The traditional way is usually a sit with some wealthy guy and
- 1:04:26you convince him to give a couple of shekels or whatever it
- 1:04:29is. I don't like that way.
- 1:04:30I like to go to Amisrael, grassroots, grassroots.
- 1:04:34And I said how you gonna go to grassroots?
- 1:04:36So I came up with a crazy idea, excuse me, 8 years ago to offer
- 1:04:41an apartment in Ushalayim as a raffle.
- 1:04:45Excuse me? It's called the Dream Raffle
- 1:04:47because it's a dream to own an apartment in Ushalayim and it's
- 1:04:51a raffle. And at the time it was worth
- 1:04:53$1,000,000. Today it's $1.2 million we've
- 1:04:56given away. Well we've had already 7
- 1:04:58raffles. You could either win the
- 1:04:59apartment or a cash alternative. And five times for various
- 1:05:04reasons the people took the cash and twice they take they took
- 1:05:08the apartment. And this year it's a beautiful
- 1:05:10apartment, brand new, never lived in before, fully
- 1:05:14furnished. And the harder you shallain, all
- 1:05:16you have to do is go. Excuse me to the Dream
- 1:05:19raffle.com. All the information is there.
- 1:05:23We're offering now a special 1 + 1 buy 1 ticket, get actually 2
- 1:05:28double EUR there and you can win a gorgeous apartment.
- 1:05:32What are the cost? Raffle Raffle is $200 OK not
- 1:05:35cheap, not cheap OK, but the prize is 1.2 million.
- 1:05:38Dollars. So yes, that's how many people
- 1:05:40participate in this. Last year we had we sold 12, we
- 1:05:44had 12,000 sales now that were more than that were tickets
- 1:05:46'cause there were some that were, you know buy one, get one
- 1:05:48free and others bought more but 12,000 people bought tickets
- 1:05:52I'm. Curious about this side of you,
- 1:05:54'cause you sales, marketing, We didn't, we didn't really get to
- 1:05:56it and we spoke about it for a minute that you, you, you
- 1:05:59worked, it says here, you worked.
- 1:06:01You walked away from Wall Street for ideology, which correctly
- 1:06:04disqualifies you for most Ted Talks, you know.
- 1:06:08But you do have definitely, you know, a lot to you.
- 1:06:12There's a lot of sides to you. There's the Israel side and then
- 1:06:14there's the sales, marketing, business development, brand
- 1:06:17side. For those who are listening,
- 1:06:20there are a lot of organizations that are doing this watch
- 1:06:22auction thing, which is like a really cool way to raise money.
- 1:06:25You give away $100,000 watch and you sell 300 tickets and you
- 1:06:30spin a wheel and you either paying $300 or you paying a
- 1:06:32dollar. I like ideas where organizations
- 1:06:35are raising money without having to go and thinking of it.
- 1:06:38And I, I serve on a board of quite a few organizations where
- 1:06:41we're always having discussions, you know, what to do and how to
- 1:06:45do it. How do you come up with this
- 1:06:46idea and what would you suggest for organizations that they're
- 1:06:49thinking of? How do we raise money in a smart
- 1:06:52way? I'm I'm assuming you're not
- 1:06:53going to say giveaway an apartment in Israel?
- 1:06:55But well, it's funny because the other day I was interviewed
- 1:06:59actually by Zev Brenner and he said, are you considering coming
- 1:07:03and having dinners in America? And I said to him, God forbid, I
- 1:07:07think the last thing you guys need is to go to another
- 1:07:09fundraising dinner. And that's not my style.
- 1:07:13It's not easy. Raising funds is not a simple
- 1:07:15thing to do. People are trying to be
- 1:07:17creative, the Chinese and all these things that people do,
- 1:07:22whatever works. But what works for me is again,
- 1:07:25I wanted to. When you say grass roots last
- 1:07:28year, more importantly than how many tickets we sold, people in
- 1:07:3187 countries bought tickets. Literally 87 countries bought
- 1:07:36tickets. How are you marketing to them?
- 1:07:38So it's completely Internet based.
- 1:07:41Like if you want anybody to think I don't have like a raffle
- 1:07:43book, you know, I can RIP off and give you, I hope not.
- 1:07:45It's what? No, it's 100% Internet based and
- 1:07:48Internet is worldwide. So we're Facebook the other day
- 1:07:52it. Was who helps you do this?
- 1:07:53I have Bottom Line Marketing Group.
- 1:07:56Yeah, my buddy Yitzhak Saffla, shout out to Yitzhak and El Yao
- 1:07:59and his wonderful team, Mauki and Toby, great guys.
- 1:08:04And they're they're marketing. We're also doing marketing in
- 1:08:07Israel. We're doing marketing in
- 1:08:09England, social media. Somebody says I see your face
- 1:08:13all over the Internet. I said you know how much it cost
- 1:08:15me so that you see this face on the Internet.
- 1:08:18It's not cheap, but let's write the shem.
- 1:08:20We'll, I just did. We just came out with a movie in
- 1:08:23Israel. There's something called Bardak,
- 1:08:26which is very funny. It's a 4 minute clip, believe it
- 1:08:29or not, for the Haredi audience. I've seen.
- 1:08:32It it's hilarious. Well, I just came out with one
- 1:08:35last week with with me in it dressed as a Hassida shagai.
- 1:08:38Yeah. You got to send us that clip.
- 1:08:40I'll send you the clip. Right here.
- 1:08:41Take a look at the new Bardock movie and it's it's it's funny,
- 1:08:46but we're we're trying to reach every single audience we can
- 1:08:49selling tickets, the dream raffle.com and it it's supports.
- 1:08:53I've just run through three quick things with a biggest
- 1:08:55donut to the Israel dog unit. You know that there are over 400
- 1:08:59people that go missing each year in Israel, a tiny country.
- 1:09:02Israel, people go missing, most of them unfortunately older, the
- 1:09:06elderly with dementia. They walk out of the house at
- 1:09:102:00 in the morning, go find, you know, grandpa by by the time
- 1:09:14you wake up 6:00 in the morning, he's gone.
- 1:09:16And he left maybe no shoes, no money, no water.
- 1:09:19Go find him. So these guys have highly
- 1:09:21trained dogs and drones and thermal imaging.
- 1:09:25We bought all their equipment and we're helping them.
- 1:09:28Just last week, good news and bad news, they found two people,
- 1:09:31one of 15 year old boy was missing for three days, they
- 1:09:33found him alive. Another one actually on Shabbat,
- 1:09:37they found who unfortunately was a corpse, was not alive.
- 1:09:40But Even so, they found them. The family now could bury
- 1:09:42Suchiva and so on. So that's the Israel Dog Unit
- 1:09:45with their biggest donor. The second thing is we're
- 1:09:48helping IDF widows and orphans mention this, how we're having
- 1:09:52an unbelievable event on Monday, last day of Hanukkah for widows
- 1:09:57and orphans of this last war and we're doing everything for them.
- 1:10:00That's another thing that we help.
- 1:10:02We've we've donated 4 Torres to IDF bases.
- 1:10:06We're building up the the country across across Israel,
- 1:10:11various Ishivot and various business.
- 1:10:14We're helping, we're helping farmers.
- 1:10:15We've planted 700,000 fruit trees in Israel because again,
- 1:10:20that grabs the land, it settles the land, it builds the land.
- 1:10:24Part of the dream that we were talking about.
- 1:10:26All these funds come from our one and only fundraiser of the
- 1:10:29year. The Remember the word the The
- 1:10:31Dream raffle.com. You're good.
- 1:10:34You're very good. First of all, congratulations on
- 1:10:36what you've built. I mean, it's amazing.
- 1:10:38It's a very big feat to have such a large budget raffle and,
- 1:10:42and that is funding everything you're doing.
- 1:10:44So congratulations to I, I really mean it.
- 1:10:47It's, it's really amazing and I hope people can learn from it to
- 1:10:50do things like this in terms of being creative.
- 1:10:53And if I go to Israel soon and meet you, where is the 1st place
- 1:10:58you're taking me? Have you ever been to Hara by it
- 1:11:02the Temple Mount? The actual HARA by it, yeah, I'm
- 1:11:07going to say something that Ushi says a lot.
- 1:11:08I was told not to go. Correct, there are many rabbits.
- 1:11:11However, there are 1000 rabbis with beards a lot longer than
- 1:11:15mine who say that you're allowed to go.
- 1:11:18I won't force it, but you know what?
- 1:11:19Until your next trip, look into it.
- 1:11:22I don't force anybody. If you're intrigued and want to
- 1:11:25go to Hara by it, I will take you up to Hara by it.
- 1:11:28And you will. You'll dive in Minha.
- 1:11:32Not at the Colton, not at some wall, but you'll dive it on the
- 1:11:36other side, on the temple, mounted.
- 1:11:38You know when you dive in on Harabayat, you don't say.
- 1:11:41I mean when the Hazim is repeating Shimonna Esray, he
- 1:11:44says, Brocoter, Hashem, honey and Haddad, you answer Baruch
- 1:11:48shame Kavodmal, who told the alarm the Ed.
- 1:11:50So where does that come from on Yom Kippur when you're davening,
- 1:11:54right? The Hako Hanima, are you
- 1:11:58Mistakovim vomrim Bora shame. Kavod malhotoli lambad.
- 1:12:03This comes from my dad. This is the Halaha, the Halaha
- 1:12:06coming to life. If you're not prepared to go to
- 1:12:08Harabite, which is fine, I'll take you to some of these farms
- 1:12:13where you'll meet Jews who work with the hands, who don't know
- 1:12:16what the Internet is, who don't know what Bluetooth is, who have
- 1:12:19no idea what WhatsApp is. But when you shake their hands,
- 1:12:21you'll get a couple of thorns into your hands.
- 1:12:24You'll meet the Jewish farmers who I think.
- 1:12:26Are the salt of the earth. I actually went on a trip to
- 1:12:29Israel and one of the things we did was we visited these farms
- 1:12:32and we met some of these farmers and I was immediately drawn to
- 1:12:37just how passionate they were about what they were doing.
- 1:12:40They didn't look at it as work. They didn't, they looked at it
- 1:12:42as they were. They were nurturing the ground
- 1:12:46and the spirit of it and the holiness of it.
- 1:12:49And I was just, I was mesmerized by really how attached they were
- 1:12:54to it. It was so palpable, like you can
- 1:12:56literally see it on their faces, the joy that emanated from them
- 1:13:00just by talking about it. And it was fascinating to see
- 1:13:03that connection between nature and human and they're.
- 1:13:05Redeeming the land unparalleled. Redeeming the land.
- 1:13:08They're keeping the land in Jewish hands.
- 1:13:10This is what we were talking about, something that the Jewish
- 1:13:13nation has not been able to do for two.
- 1:13:16Things, yeah, because we appreciate it.
- 1:13:17It's one of the things also, like you were saying, the Arabs
- 1:13:20had, you know, Israel and whatever you want to call it
- 1:13:22prior to Israel. I don't know.
- 1:13:24I don't know how long for at least 1000 years, maybe less.
- 1:13:27From the 500. What they do with it, It was a
- 1:13:30barren, desecrate land. When the Jews found it, they it
- 1:13:33was like they didn't really care about it.
- 1:13:35And you know what it is like it's that famous story when you
- 1:13:37know the the queen, you have to a husband or wife, you know, and
- 1:13:40it's like they're arguing over a child and then the Queen's.
- 1:13:43All right, here's how I'm going to make a decision is we're
- 1:13:46going to take this child and it's, you know, we're going to
- 1:13:48live by me for. And the mother's like, no, no,
- 1:13:49no, on the fast. OK, I'll take that.
- 1:13:51Live by you for two days as long as I get.
- 1:13:53And she's like, the mother should have it because you are
- 1:13:55clearly more attached to this child.
- 1:13:57You weren't willing to give it up.
- 1:13:58The Jewish people are attached to it because look how we took
- 1:14:01this and we blossomed into this amazing country.
- 1:14:04Meanwhile, the Arabs, they did nothing.
- 1:14:05With it, in 2005 the Jews were expelled from Bush Qatif.
- 1:14:10They were. They were.
- 1:14:10I think there were 21 Jewish communities there.
- 1:14:12They were the whole bug free industry street came from there.
- 1:14:16All the you know the lettuce and broccoli and cauliflower that
- 1:14:19will bug free came from there. It was also Israeli largest flat
- 1:14:23exporting export of flowers. It built up the land and I'm not
- 1:14:27going to go into the whole thing and that was called the Gaza
- 1:14:29disengagement Plan 2005. Everybody was what did the Arabs
- 1:14:34do with that land since 2005? Move their rockets in to shoot
- 1:14:38at the stay road and to shoot it at at Jewish communities.
- 1:14:41So who loves the land and who just wants to?
- 1:14:44And this is what we're talking about.
- 1:14:46But This is why we need to take control and Misrata Hashem bring
- 1:14:49the dream of Jewish redemption closer.
- 1:14:55That's right. There it is, there it is.
- 1:14:56You got it. You're ready.
- 1:14:57Before we wrap up, do you have any questions for us?
- 1:15:01Here's my one question for you. When you come to Israel and
- 1:15:05you're gonna have your podcast in Israel, you're gonna sit in
- 1:15:07the same chairs or you're gonna switch.
- 1:15:08So I go to Israel a lot and I I I usually get a guest Co host to
- 1:15:13do podcasts. Maybe you'll be a guest Co host
- 1:15:14with me and we can my pleasure behind someone.
- 1:15:16Seriously, give me a call. I'm not saying this.
- 1:15:18Yeah, I'm telling you I'm. Gonna take you up on your.
- 1:15:20I will take you around this and you will see things, yeah, that
- 1:15:23you've never seen before. Yeah.
- 1:15:25You know what's amazing? I have to tell you?
- 1:15:26I, I go to Israel a few times a year.
- 1:15:29Every time that happens to me. That's what I love about the
- 1:15:31country. Every time I go, no matter how
- 1:15:33small it is and the size of New Jersey, like you mentioned
- 1:15:35before, I always find new, unique, interesting, uplifting,
- 1:15:39fascinating things. And what a country, beautiful
- 1:15:42country. And, and, and, and I have to
- 1:15:45tell you, by the way, we're not one of the two shules that bless
- 1:15:48the Medina of the country, but we are one of the many shules
- 1:15:51that bless the army and we do it.
- 1:15:53And there's a tremendous distinction.
- 1:15:55I just don't want to forget to talk about it for 10 seconds.
- 1:15:58The issue with blessing the Medina is you're blessing the
- 1:16:01government, which, you know, like that's what it feels like.
- 1:16:04And I've heard that a lot many times.
- 1:16:06Like, you know, it's one thing to bless the soldiers and make
- 1:16:08sure they're protected and give our prayers to them.
- 1:16:10But the government itself in America, we're like, we'll,
- 1:16:14we'll focus on the soldiers and the people rather than the
- 1:16:16governance of what's happening there.
- 1:16:17That's. Very weak.
- 1:16:20All right, I accept it. I can only tell you one thing in
- 1:16:22conclusion is that when the government is not doing well,
- 1:16:25that's when they need your blessing.
- 1:16:27Of course. OK, OK, I get it.
- 1:16:29I get it. I appreciate that.
- 1:16:31Finally, before we let you go, we also have a question.
- 1:16:33Who do you think would fit well in that seat?
- 1:16:35And maybe that's someone that we would invite here to to
- 1:16:38participate on this podcast. I don't know if he'll come out
- 1:16:40here, but if you can, bring Rough Moshe Weinberger, who's
- 1:16:44the Ravin Aish Kodesh in the Sholin Woodmere, Long Island.
- 1:16:48What? What a amazing suggestion.
- 1:16:51Do you have his number? I have his number.
- 1:16:53Can you call him for us? I will call him for you and I
- 1:16:56will tell him to come here because he will talk about the
- 1:16:59things much better than I can. By the way, no comparison.
- 1:17:03And I think you did a great job. But that's on my level.
- 1:17:06He's 100 levels above. Well, Aish Kodesh is a is a
- 1:17:09special place and in many people's.
- 1:17:11Right. You bring Ramesha Weinberger
- 1:17:12here and you'll know what I'm talking about, all right?
- 1:17:15Listen, if you can get him here, I will accept him with open
- 1:17:19arms. He's someone who's making a
- 1:17:21kiddush shasham every single day, sanctifying God's name and
- 1:17:24the work that he does. Excellent reputation, community
- 1:17:27builder and amazing human being and and community there.
- 1:17:30So would love to see that happen.
- 1:17:32I'm not going to have you call him right now because you know,
- 1:17:35that's not respectful to his time.
- 1:17:37Forget about ours, but I hope you can make it happen.
- 1:17:41Thank you for joining us. Really appreciate it.
- 1:17:43Did not see that this was conversation was going to be,
- 1:17:45you know, heading this way. I enjoyed it to be honest with
- 1:17:49you. I think it was a learning
- 1:17:50experience. I think also my take away from
- 1:17:52this is talk about it more. But I think the message is focus
- 1:17:57on the national side of our religion, sure, not just the
- 1:18:00individual, the communal focus on the national side.
- 1:18:04And I would say go there more, spend more time there and
- 1:18:07appreciate the values. That are to the nation.
- 1:18:09Absolutely. I appreciate that message.
- 1:18:11A lot of resonates well with me. And again, thank you to our
- 1:18:14subscribers, our listeners, our followers.
- 1:18:16Thank you to the Prime Source production team.
- 1:18:19We appreciate you following us and growing with us.
- 1:18:22That's a wrap. That's a wrap.
- 1:18:23Wow. Thank you.
