to the Shape Shop every day. You know, I'm fully retired, but

I go to work every day. Yeah, I look up the definition of

retirement for you, dear now, but it has a different meaning in my

heart because I love what I do. But it and the thing that you

know, I want people to know is that we're Shape Shop is fresh,

clean eating and nothing is processed. But what I really want to talk about

it's a very little tiny product that we carry in our shop and we've had

it in our shop ever since we began. And what it's called is ham

seasoning. Now it is a powder, and if you put it in your

green beans or your collared greens or whatever green vegetable you make, you are

doing yourself an enormous favor. And that is because you're not using bacon grease

or bacon or a hamhawk or the stuff that is deadly corroding our arteries.

But by using the ham seasoning, the brown beans taste amazing. Years ago,

we had this young couple invite their grandmother for dinner, and they were

real nervous because they had never prepared a meal, and they made green beans

with the ham seasoning, and she got up, went into the kitchen and

looked in the pot to see if there was a hambone in the bottom of

the pot, and there wasn't. And that's my point. It's a little

tiny jar. It contains ham seasoning, and it could save your life.

Yeah, each summer we have two tournaments, two catfish tournaments, one

in July and one in August at in the county Canall County's largest lake and

it's right now our lake here in Nitro, And we've got our first catfish

tournament coming up this Friday, July twenty first, and it will get underway

with registration at about four or thirty at the lake's gazebo. Fishing will start

at six o'clock and going to eleven o'clock. Everyone is invited to come on

down and it's fifteen dollars to enter. Children under twelve are free. There's

a two pole limit for each contestant. And just between you and I,

Dave, we're not going to tell anybody else, but Councilman Bill Javins made

sure that the lake was stocked with about I don't know, four hundred and

fifty to five hundred pounds of catfish last week. We didn't want to do

it this week. We wanted to be a bit hungry for the fisherman tomorrow

on Friday night. So Councilman Javin's made sure that we're stocked and everything is

going to be ready for Friday night. By the way, a fishing license

in, So Joe. For the uninitiated, how exactly do catfish tournaments work?

Well, we will take your best five fish and you will be weighed

in on at about eleven o'clock your best. If you don't catch five year

two or one or what have you, and it's your best weight, you're

you know, the total weight coming up at eleven o'clock and you will.

We will have first place, second place, third place, and right now

the winning totals. There's two hundred dollars for first, one hundred dollars for

second, and seven five dollars for third. But what we do is we

with the amount of people that we register, we take that money that we

get for registration and put it back in the winnings. Like last year the

first place fisherman when the July got four hundred dollars. So it's not a

money maker. We put it back to the fishermen that come out to have

a good time Tomorrow night or Friday night. Rather, we will also have

folks from the greater Nitro area Quanas Club out there, Rivers to ridges,

folks will be out there. DNR will be out there, kind of some

information for folks and everything, and paddle boats will be available too. But

just a lot of things happening at right now. Or Lake, which again

is the county's largest lake. And of course I had Johnny Rutherford yesterday Joe

for this pickleball Turnibud as far as ways Zuri in Arkansas. So Nitro is

local uh young man that comes in with a bait and tackle shop, and

he took care of them and they actually ended up winning. It was really

cool. It was really really cool. So uh yeah, and we have

some kids prizes too, and we have a raffle. We've tagged some fish,
