- 0:00Speaker 1: We were having a day off and we were just
- 0:02Speaker 1: chilling around the house and I was cooking something that
- 0:06Speaker 1: I'm retired from. But only under duress and stress and
- 0:17Speaker 1: picketing of my children and my wife, I go in
- 0:19Speaker 1: there and come out of retirement and stir up a
- 0:23Speaker 1: little something. And this particular day I've made a banana pudding.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah. it was, it was, it was savaged kind
- 0:35Speaker 1: of stuff, make you slap your mama. And so we
- 0:39Speaker 1: took a big picture of it and put it on
- 0:40Speaker 1: Facebook and people started telling what they were doing and
- 0:43Speaker 1: their stories and how their families represent this lady wrote
- 0:46Speaker 1: this most amazing, uh, piece about her family and her
- 0:50Speaker 1: traditions and, and, and even, uh, about her love of
- 0:54Speaker 1: the ministry and so forth and so on lady out
- 0:57Speaker 1: of Nashville. And, uh, I was so moved by what
- 1:00Speaker 1: she wrote that I wished I had said something back
- 1:03Speaker 1: and didn't. I prayed and said, Lord, if I ever
- 1:05Speaker 1: get a chance, I'm going to say something back to
- 1:08Speaker 1: that lady. And then she hit me up on Twitter.
- 1:10Speaker 1: When I pray for something, even something as simple as that,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and God does it, I get all teary-eyed. Just exciting,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know. And I got a chance to talk to her.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And so we started communicating back and forth, me and
- 1:26Speaker 1: this lady. I didn't even know who she was. And
- 1:28Speaker 1: in the course of the conversation, she direct messaged me
- 1:32Speaker 1: and told me, she said, not that it matters, but
- 1:36Speaker 1: I think I should tell you, I'm blind. And I thought,
- 1:42Speaker 1: how could you describe life so beautifully and be so
- 1:47Speaker 1: happy in your spirit and in your heart and talk
- 1:52Speaker 1: about singing and cooking and family and and the feel
- 1:56Speaker 1: of the sun on your face and all of that,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and be blind. I was amazed by this woman, and
- 2:04Speaker 1: I talked about her so much. Oprah had her on
- 2:07Speaker 1: her show. The lady is completely blind, and she's always
- 2:11Speaker 1: on Facebook and Twitter encouraging other people. I used her
- 2:17Speaker 1: this morning to say to you that the vision I'm
- 2:21Speaker 1: talking about is not the vision of That you go
- 2:25Speaker 1: to an eye specialist to perfect. Put contacts in. Get
- 2:30Speaker 1: glasses over. That's important too. But that woman becomes proof positive.
- 2:36Speaker 1: That your outlook is not always determined by physicalities. But
- 2:41Speaker 1: rather by your in look. This is the part of time.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. I'm
- 2:52Speaker 1: Bishop T.D. Jackson, excited and delighted to have this opportunity
- 2:55Speaker 1: to be in your life and to share the word
- 2:58Speaker 1: of the Lord as we step into a brand new year.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You know, whenever I get with my wife and we
- 3:02Speaker 1: start talking about our family and where we're going as
- 3:04Speaker 1: a couple, she always wants details. Who, what, when, where, why, how?
- 3:09Speaker 1: And I tell her, girl, you got to walk by faith.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Since she's not around today, let me tell you, there
- 3:15Speaker 1: are some moments that I walk to and wonder, Lord,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I sure would love to have some details. But God
- 3:21Speaker 1: is not always big on details. The truth of the
- 3:24Speaker 1: matter is, if you're going to walk with God, you
- 3:28Speaker 1: have to walk by faith. I'm going to share a
- 3:30Speaker 1: series that will help you to become more comfortable in
- 3:34Speaker 1: the process when God doesn't give a lot of details.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The series is Blind Faith. And I want you to
- 3:40Speaker 1: understand the importance of the right perspective, the right outlook,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and how to move into the new year With the
- 3:47Speaker 1: right outlook for the future. Take a look at this
- 3:51Speaker 1: and get your heart ready for what God is about
- 3:53Speaker 1: to do next in your life. Paul does not pray
- 3:58Speaker 1: for the opening of physical eyes. He prays that the
- 4:02Speaker 1: eyes of our understanding in Ephesians 1, that the eyes
- 4:05Speaker 1: of our understanding might be enlightened. He said, I pray
- 4:08Speaker 1: that your inner eye would open up. He said, I
- 4:12Speaker 1: pray that the eyes of your understanding. I didn't know
- 4:15Speaker 1: my understanding had eyes. He said, yeah. He said, I
- 4:19Speaker 1: pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened that
- 4:23Speaker 1: ye may know what is the hope of your calling.
- 4:26Speaker 1: What is the riches of his inheritance in the saints
- 4:28Speaker 1: and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to
- 4:30Speaker 1: us who do believe. He didn't pray about other people
- 4:33Speaker 1: at all. He didn't pray about circumstance. He didn't pray
- 4:36Speaker 1: about who was going to be president. He didn't pray
- 4:39Speaker 1: about none of that. He said, what's going on in
- 4:42Speaker 1: your world is not your problem. It's what's going on
- 4:44Speaker 1: inside of you that's killing you. I pray that the
- 4:47Speaker 1: eyes of your understanding be enlightened. Isn't it so easy
- 4:51Speaker 1: to blame outside stuff for inside turmoil? You're the reason
- 4:57Speaker 1: I would have done further if mama would have done so.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I would have done this if dad would have done so.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I would have been further if he would have loved me.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I would have been better if he would have been
- 5:04Speaker 1: a good partner. I could do this if we could.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Isn't it so easy? To blame the outside. Paul said
- 5:10Speaker 1: I got one big prayer for you. I pray that
- 5:13Speaker 1: you get your head on straight. That's an African American
- 5:18Speaker 1: colloquialism for. A substitute for a Jewish expression. The eyes
- 5:23Speaker 1: of your understanding. Be enlightened. That you have an epiphany.
- 5:31Speaker 1: That your eyes be open. That you may know. What
- 5:37Speaker 1: is the hope of his calling. What is the riches?
- 5:41Speaker 1: What is the hope of his calling? Let me go
- 5:42Speaker 1: through one thing at a time. What is the hope
- 5:44Speaker 1: of his calling? What you were created for. What God
- 5:46Speaker 1: hoped for when he made you. I want you to
- 5:48Speaker 1: know that. I want you to know what God hoped
- 5:50Speaker 1: for when he made you. Because if you don't know
- 5:52Speaker 1: what God hoped for when he made you, then how
- 5:54Speaker 1: can you say you're successful? You might be successful at
- 5:58Speaker 1: doing something that you weren't even created to do. What
- 6:01Speaker 1: did God hope for when he made you? I used
- 6:05Speaker 1: to go in the kitchen and cook stuff and whatever
- 6:07Speaker 1: it was, I called it. I didn't know what it
- 6:09Speaker 1: was going to be. Just whatever it turned out, that's
- 6:12Speaker 1: what it was. You got to learn, you know. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: created some stuff. I can't recreate it, but I created
- 6:19Speaker 1: some original dishes. I didn't have what the cookbook called for.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I just threw in something else. What is this? Well,
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's a beef splendor. Most of us live our lives
- 6:38Speaker 1: just throwing in whatever's handy and then calling it whatever
- 6:41Speaker 1: we need to call it. But what did God hope
- 6:44Speaker 1: for when he created you? What did he have in
- 6:48Speaker 1: mind for you to do while you're here? Could you
- 6:51Speaker 1: be busy doing stuff that don't even matter and neglecting
- 6:56Speaker 1: what you were created to do? He said, I pray
- 6:59Speaker 1: that the eyes of your understanding might be enlightened, that
- 7:03Speaker 1: you might know what is the hope of his calling.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And second thing, that you might know what is the
- 7:07Speaker 1: richest of his inheritance in the same. That you might
- 7:10Speaker 1: know what God planted down inside of you, your own
- 7:14Speaker 1: hidden treasure. Or are you so busy seeing what's good
- 7:18Speaker 1: about other people that you don't see what's good about you?
- 7:23Speaker 1: What God placed down inside of you? What gifts lie
- 7:27Speaker 1: inside of you? What is his inheritance? Not your inheritance.
- 7:30Speaker 1: What is his inheritance in the saints? I want you
- 7:33Speaker 1: to know that. I want you to know that God
- 7:35Speaker 1: took his inheritance and hid it down in your trash.
- 7:40Speaker 1: There's treasure in your trash. Do you know good if
- 7:45Speaker 1: you don't know that? The third thing, he said, I
- 7:47Speaker 1: want you to know what is the exceeding greatness of
- 7:49Speaker 1: his power to us who believe. How much power God
- 7:54Speaker 1: will invest if you believe. Wow. He said, I want
- 7:59Speaker 1: you to know that. I just want you to know.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I'm not giving it to you. I just want you
- 8:02Speaker 1: to know how much power God would invest if you believe.
- 8:07Speaker 1: That's some great stuff. Jesus healed blind people, blind people
- 8:16Speaker 1: over and over and over again. He's not after disease
- 8:19Speaker 1: on the outside. He's after disease on the inside. He's
- 8:23Speaker 1: trying to tell us how important it is that you
- 8:26Speaker 1: get your head on straight. That's either your understanding being light,
- 8:30Speaker 1: that you might know some stuff. That I'm going to
- 8:35Speaker 1: say it this way, that your in look determines your outlook.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He takes a guy like the apostle Paul and meets
- 8:45Speaker 1: him on the road to Damascus, knocks him off his beast,
- 8:49Speaker 1: takes away his sight on the outside, but flashes neon
- 8:54Speaker 1: signs on the inside. And Paul is bright on the inside,
- 8:59Speaker 1: though dark on the outside. So dark that he had
- 9:02Speaker 1: to be led by the man he was leading on
- 9:04Speaker 1: the outside. But all of them sat at his feet
- 9:08Speaker 1: to hear about the light he saw on the inside.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Are you hearing what I'm saying? This particular text that
- 9:18Speaker 1: we're going to talk about this morning is, to me,
- 9:21Speaker 1: the Magna Carta of blindness, the healing of blindness. It
- 9:26Speaker 1: is so unique, first of all, because of the methodology
- 9:30Speaker 1: whereby Christ heals him. It's so base. It's so vile.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Some say they could not take it. For God to...
- 9:42Speaker 1: spit in your eye. Let me ask you, how many
- 9:46Speaker 1: people have ever been spat on? It's an unforgettable experience.
- 9:52Speaker 1: It might have happened when you were seven years old
- 9:54Speaker 1: on the back of a school bus, but here you are, 47,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you still remember that gook sliding down your face and
- 10:01Speaker 1: what it said and what it meant and how you
- 10:04Speaker 1: reacted when they did it. How many of you who
- 10:08Speaker 1: raised your hand and you've been spat on, you smiled
- 10:10Speaker 1: through it. No, it's not something you smile about. It's
- 10:15Speaker 1: degrading to agree. It's insulting to you spat on me
- 10:19Speaker 1: like I'm dirt. Jesus spat on him. And the dynamics
- 10:26Speaker 1: of the healing are so unique. First of all, we
- 10:28Speaker 1: don't see him healing any other blind man quite this way.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Each one of them he healed differently. He does not
- 10:36Speaker 1: want us to develop a recipe for healing blindness because
- 10:40Speaker 1: each of us has an awakening a different way. Some
- 10:46Speaker 1: people get it through the music. Some people get it
- 10:47Speaker 1: through the words. Some people get it through a conversation.
- 10:49Speaker 1: We have different ways of coming to a moment of
- 10:54Speaker 1: greatness where we see things. Some people get it at 20.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Some people, they get their selves together at early ages.
- 11:01Speaker 1: They spend their life on top. Other people, by the
- 11:05Speaker 1: time you get any sense, you're too old to do
- 11:07Speaker 1: anything about it. Paul says, when I was a child,
- 11:15Speaker 1: I thought as a child, spoke as a child, understood
- 11:16Speaker 1: as a child, understood as a child, understood as a child.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I love your understanding being a lady. Understood as a child,
- 11:21Speaker 1: understood as a child. I could see like a child,
- 11:23Speaker 1: saw everything like a kid.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Kids are
- 11:28Speaker 1: always selfish. It's inherent in youth. It's selfish. The whole
- 11:31Speaker 1: world is about them. Me, me, me, me. When I
- 11:33Speaker 1: became a man, when I became what? A man. When
- 11:37Speaker 1: I evolved into adulthood, how do you know? I put
- 11:39Speaker 1: away childish things. It could be possible that your life
- 11:48Speaker 1: is littered with childish things while you pray adult prayers.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Your prayer life could exceed your vision and your whole
- 12:00Speaker 1: life could be faltered. And that's interesting to understand that
- 12:04Speaker 1: God doesn't heal everybody the same way. Some of you
- 12:06Speaker 1: are in the process of being healed and trying to
- 12:08Speaker 1: straighten out everybody else. You're marshals and deputies over everybody
- 12:13Speaker 1: else's spirituality. While the truth be told, deep down inside,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you have barrenness in your womb, discouragement in your heart,
- 12:20Speaker 1: and God is not finished with you. And I'm not
- 12:22Speaker 1: implying that you have to be finished in order to
- 12:24Speaker 1: minister to people, because if that were the case, I'm
- 12:27Speaker 1: going to go sit down. What I am saying to
- 12:31Speaker 1: you is that you become a judge, jury, and a
- 12:35Speaker 1: hangman over people while you are still afflicting yourself. Because
- 12:41Speaker 1: sometimes it's easier to fix other people than it is
- 12:46Speaker 1: to fix yourself. This is an amazing story. And it's
- 12:51Speaker 1: so big and it's so bold because it also lets
- 12:55Speaker 1: us know that healing is progressive. One touch doesn't always
- 13:00Speaker 1: do it. Yeah, one touch doesn't always do it. One
- 13:06Speaker 1: coming to the altar might not always do it. One
- 13:09Speaker 1: time having hands laid on you might not always do it.
- 13:13Speaker 1: That you could be functioning up under a first touch experience.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Perpetrating to see better than you do. And that's why
- 13:26Speaker 1: it's good. I get distracted by all of that. And
- 13:29Speaker 1: when I get distracted by all of that, I miss
- 13:32Speaker 1: some significant information. Jesus has come to Bethsaida.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Still to come. on the potter's touch.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Could you not heal this blind man in Bethsaida? Why
- 13:46Speaker 1: did you take him out of Bethsaida to perform the
- 13:50Speaker 1: miracle when you're God of the whole earth? What do
- 13:55Speaker 1: you want the blind man to see about his environment?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Because until the blind man sees his environment correctly, His
- 14:10Speaker 1: outlook will never change. The emptiness of an open heart
- 14:16Speaker 1: creates a cavity for God to fill. But a closed
- 14:20Speaker 1: mind never receives anything from God. The only difference between
- 14:23Speaker 1: you and the person you admire is the perspective they
- 14:27Speaker 1: have on life.
- 14:28Speaker 2: When the one who gave you sight says, follow me,
- 14:31Speaker 2: let me lead the way, it's time for blind faith.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Don't allow people to anchor you down as an albatross
- 14:37Speaker 1: around your neck and leave you limited. so that they
- 14:40Speaker 1: can have fellowship and you can have failure. If you
- 14:43Speaker 1: are disciplined in your perspective, you will be victorious in
- 14:47Speaker 1: your outcome.
- 14:48Speaker 2: For helping us reach others with your best gift, we
- 14:50Speaker 2: would like to give you Blind Faith, four insightful messages
- 14:53Speaker 2: on DVD, and as a bonus, receive pecking orders on
- 14:57Speaker 2: DVD with a 2013 photo calendar reminding you that God
- 15:01Speaker 2: wants to position you for impact, expose you to powerful experiences,
- 15:05Speaker 2: give the courage to step out in faith, I.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Think the perspective is critical in order for you to
- 15:19Speaker 1: be an overcomer, to be victorious. It's not what happens
- 15:23Speaker 1: to you. It's how you feel about what happens to you.
- 15:26Speaker 1: The ability to manage problems and situations is what determines
- 15:30Speaker 1: the CEO from the janitor. I've been both. And I
- 15:34Speaker 1: can clearly tell you, the higher up you go, the
- 15:37Speaker 1: more problems you encounter. And your ability to have proper
- 15:41Speaker 1: perspective under fire is critical. And frankly, it takes discipline.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Because no matter who you are, where you are, the
- 15:49Speaker 1: heart trembles with fear. Your mind races with possibilities. But
- 15:53Speaker 1: if you can discipline yourself to hold on to your
- 15:55Speaker 1: perspective while you are under fire, you can overcome anything.
- 16:00Speaker 1: That takes discipline, not emotionalism. You can't dance your way
- 16:04Speaker 1: into this. You have to be sober and be vigilant
- 16:09Speaker 1: because you're under fire. Your perspective is being attacked. The
- 16:13Speaker 1: enemy is trying to make you think that you are
- 16:15Speaker 1: not coming out or that you don't have what it
- 16:17Speaker 1: takes or that you can't do it or that you can't,
- 16:20Speaker 1: you can't, you can't. But if you can hold on
- 16:22Speaker 1: to your perspective and be disciplined enough to keep the
- 16:26Speaker 1: car in the middle of the road even though the
- 16:27Speaker 1: wind is rocking from side to side, you'll drive through
- 16:30Speaker 1: the storm. And when the storm is over, you'll still
- 16:33Speaker 1: be standing. They brought him a blind man. I don't
- 16:37Speaker 1: know who they were. The Bible never tells us who
- 16:40Speaker 1: they were. But thank God for they. God will always
- 16:48Speaker 1: give you a they. Might not be a mama. May
- 16:53Speaker 1: not be a father. There are many people in here
- 16:55Speaker 1: right now who've never known, never known the love of
- 16:57Speaker 1: a father. That's so amazing to me as a father.
- 17:00Speaker 1: It's so amazing. I cannot describe to you How big
- 17:04Speaker 1: that love is. And how different that love is from
- 17:07Speaker 1: the love of a mother. Totally different. And there are
- 17:09Speaker 1: some people who never had that. They cannot even fathom
- 17:13Speaker 1: what that would be like. My wife and I have
- 17:16Speaker 1: the same kids. Our reaction is totally different. She does
- 17:20Speaker 1: stuff that I could never do. I do things that
- 17:21Speaker 1: she could never do. We love so differently that sometimes
- 17:24Speaker 1: our love gets into hand-to-hand combat. She wants to go
- 17:31Speaker 1: in and nurture the kids. And I want to discipline them.
- 17:34Speaker 1: She wants to go in and sue them. And I
- 17:36Speaker 1: want to kill the perpetrator. And we're just arguing. And
- 17:38Speaker 1: she said, get some medicine. I said, no, get a gun.
- 17:43Speaker 1: We must protect the village. Kill anything that comes near
- 17:47Speaker 1: the gate. We love violently. Passionately. I will tell you.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Some people have never known that kind of love, that protective,
- 18:02Speaker 1: provisionary propensity of masculine love. A man, a good man
- 18:07Speaker 1: defines himself by his ability to protect and provide for
- 18:12Speaker 1: what he loves. Whether you want to go to Bible
- 18:20Speaker 1: or go in the jungle, a male is a protector.
- 18:24Speaker 1: He fights for the food. He brings in the stuff.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And when a man can't protect it and can't provide,
- 18:30Speaker 1: he is biversely emasculated. Some people have never known that.
- 18:35Speaker 1: They don't understand that. And even though later they get
- 18:37Speaker 1: married to a man, they are married to an alien.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Because they think that he's a woman in pants. Don't
- 18:51Speaker 1: make your man your girlfriend. understand what hurts him it's
- 19:13Speaker 1: different from what hurts you but equally as important to
- 19:17Speaker 1: him because he won't tell you and if you ask
- 19:21Speaker 1: him what's wrong he's gonna say nothing Some people have
- 19:26Speaker 1: never known the love of a mother. That's amazing. Nothing
- 19:31Speaker 1: like the love of a mother. A good mama will
- 19:36Speaker 1: go to hell and back for you. Yes, she will.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I'm not talking about some of this stuff we see today.
- 19:44Speaker 1: They're just women having babies. There's a difference between a
- 19:47Speaker 1: woman having a baby and a mama. When you a
- 19:50Speaker 1: real mama, when you a real mama, everybody else can
- 19:55Speaker 1: turn their back on that baby. Everybody else can walk
- 19:58Speaker 1: away and a mama will climb through hell's kitchen and
- 20:02Speaker 1: snatch her baby back. You ain't been in a fight
- 20:07Speaker 1: till you done messed around and messed with one of
- 20:09Speaker 1: them kids. Some people have never had the benefit of
- 20:18Speaker 1: all of that support around them. They've never had a
- 20:21Speaker 1: perfect environment for them to experience these types of support mechanisms.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And yet, they survive. Miracle upon miracle. Didn't get water,
- 20:36Speaker 1: didn't get sunlight, plant still grew. Against all odds, here
- 20:42Speaker 1: a little, there a little, surviving off of whatever you
- 20:44Speaker 1: could get, however you could get to get up on
- 20:46Speaker 1: your feet, you made it anyway. And instead of grieving
- 20:50Speaker 1: over what you didn't get, you ought to celebrate the
- 20:51Speaker 1: fact that in spite of it, I still made it.
- 20:53Speaker 1: That's amazing. That's amazing. That's amazing. When I look around
- 21:01Speaker 1: and I see you, I can see why you made it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You got watered. You got sunshine. You got carried down
- 21:07Speaker 1: to school. Somebody helped you with homework. Somebody went down
- 21:10Speaker 1: to watch you play football. I guess you did make it.
- 21:13Speaker 1: But look at me. I made it too. By myself,
- 21:18Speaker 1: on my own, dirt in my fingernails, tears in my eyes, confused,
- 21:24Speaker 1: maybe even a little bit crazy, but I am here now.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I know what I just said represents a portion of
- 21:31Speaker 1: this congregation and I wish you would blow your cover
- 21:35Speaker 1: and give God a praise that you made it anyway.
- 21:40Speaker 1: He'll get it to you, even if it didn't come
- 21:42Speaker 1: from the places that other people got it from. He'll
- 21:44Speaker 1: always send somebody who cares about you. This is a
- 21:47Speaker 1: poet who cares about this blind man. They're doing business.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Who cares about this blind man? There's a bunch of
- 21:52Speaker 1: men down here, sweaty men, dragging in big fish. It's musky.
- 21:56Speaker 1: It's rowdy. It's funky. And yet there's a day. Did
- 22:00Speaker 1: I say that? Oh, it's out. Can't do nothing about it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: There's a day. Pray for me. You got to intercede
- 22:04Speaker 1: harder because it's not working this morning. There's a day
- 22:08Speaker 1: in your life. Wouldn't it have been something if the
- 22:11Speaker 1: blind man hadn't listened today? I ain't going nowhere. Ain't
- 22:15Speaker 1: no need. I made it this far. Leave me alone.
- 22:19Speaker 1: They brought him to Jesus. Jesus has come to Bethsaida.
- 22:24Speaker 1: They brought him to Jesus in Bethsaida. And Jesus, the
- 22:29Speaker 1: first thing he does is turn around and takes him
- 22:31Speaker 1: out of the village, out of Bethsaida. You just got here, Jesus.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Excuse me, you got stuff to do. You came to Bethsaida.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You come with your troops and your staff and your team.
- 22:44Speaker 1: You just got to Bethsaida. They brought him a blind man.
- 22:47Speaker 1: And the first thing Jesus does is lead him out
- 22:49Speaker 1: of what he just came into. I am so distracted
- 22:54Speaker 1: by the blindness that I forgot to look at the environment.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Why does Jesus turn right around on his heels and
- 23:04Speaker 1: walk out of what he just walked into when he
- 23:07Speaker 1: sees a blind man? He led him out of Bethsaida.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And healed him. But I say, God, are you not
- 23:21Speaker 1: God in Bethsaida? Could you not heal this blind man
- 23:28Speaker 1: in Bethsaida? Why did you take him out of Bethsaida
- 23:33Speaker 1: to perform the miracle when you're God of the whole earth?
- 23:39Speaker 1: What do you want the blind man to see about
- 23:43Speaker 1: his environment? Because until the blind man sees his environment correctly,
- 23:54Speaker 1: his outlook will never change. Jesus brings the blind man
- 24:04Speaker 1: out of Bethsaida, brings him outside the city, and then
- 24:09Speaker 1: takes nothing. He says, your healing will take nothing once
- 24:14Speaker 1: I get you out of your environment. Let me tell
- 24:17Speaker 1: you how easy. He spat on him. He said, my
- 24:23Speaker 1: spit is better than the wealth of Bethsaida. God's foolishness
- 24:31Speaker 1: is better than the wisdom of this world. And you
- 24:35Speaker 1: are trying to have a God experience in a worldly environment.
- 24:43Speaker 1: They led him out of Bethsaida. And when he got
- 24:48Speaker 1: him out of the environment, he spat in his eye. Jesus.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Some people say, you know, normally you spit on me.
- 25:03Speaker 1: he's still working on me I'm not there yet I'm
- 25:05Speaker 1: very open about this I'm not there I'm in stages
- 25:09Speaker 1: of recovery I need my medicine if I don't get
- 25:13Speaker 1: my treatment I have a reaction and if you spat
- 25:16Speaker 1: on me I can't guarantee the whole ghost might stand
- 25:19Speaker 1: up I don't know there's two of them folk down
- 25:23Speaker 1: in there they argue all the time depending on who
- 25:25Speaker 1: win what you would get might get prayed for might
- 25:29Speaker 1: get punched How you like Vegas? Hope you're a gambler.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Odds are against you. Might not get through this real well.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Jesus spat on him. Why doesn't this man get angry?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Because there comes a time in your life that you
- 25:49Speaker 1: have been blind so long, you don't care what it
- 25:52Speaker 1: takes to get out of your situation. You simply want out.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Being insulted is a luxury for people who are not
- 26:04Speaker 1: in trouble. When you are in trouble bad enough, you
- 26:07Speaker 1: cannot afford to be insulted. We'll be right back after this.
- 26:16Speaker 1: The emptiness of an open heart creates a cavity for
- 26:19Speaker 1: God to fill, but a closed mind never receives anything
- 26:23Speaker 1: from God. The only difference between you And the person
- 26:26Speaker 1: you admire is the perspective they have on life.
- 26:30Speaker 2: When the one who gave you sight says, follow me,
- 26:33Speaker 2: let me lead the way, it's time for blind faith.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Don't allow people to anchor you down as an albatross
- 26:39Speaker 1: around your neck and leave you limited so that they
- 26:42Speaker 1: can have fellowship and you can have failure. If you
- 26:45Speaker 1: are disciplined in your perspective, you will be victorious in
- 26:49Speaker 1: your outcome.
- 26:50Speaker 2: For helping us reach others with your best gift, we

- 27:45Speaker 1: it is so important that you understand the outlook is
- 27:49Speaker 1: critical to walk by faith and not by sight is important.
- 27:52Speaker 1: So many people put their life on hold for years.
- 27:55Speaker 1: waiting to see their way clear, they absolutely never get there.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I pray that you will really get this in your heart,
- 28:03Speaker 1: not just your head, but in your heart and step
- 28:05Speaker 1: into 2013, not waiting for signs and wonders and see
- 28:10Speaker 1: your way clear and let it rain on the carpet.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You got to have blind faith or you can't go forward.
