- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Thanks for tuning in.
- 0:01SPEAKER_03: You're listening to Propaganda with Mick and Jacob.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the show, everyone.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: We have another great episode for you this week.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Starting off, okay, did you hear about what happened to Mekwan?
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: No.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:15SPEAKER_03: What happened to Mekwan?
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: So just the other day in Mekwan, Wisconsin, um, southeastern part of the state, a man was arrested for a pretty intense road rage incident, okay?
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: The man's name is Matthew Matthew Arnt.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Matthew Arnt.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Um the man's name is Matthew Arnt.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: He is running for, funny enough, he's running for a congressional seat in the 6th district of Wisconsin.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Um and he's driving around in Mackwan.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: He's actually running for the Green Party.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: So he's not like Republican or Democrat, technically, he's running for the Green Party.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Um and he's driving around and gets in a road rage incident.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: The whole thing, not the whole thing.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: The last part of the thing is capture on video, and this guy gets arrested.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: He gets arrested for I guess harassment, I guess, causing public disturbances.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: Oh, what'd he do?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Matthew Art, he is in public, going, just driving down the road.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: He cuts someone off in traffic.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Uh, there's a lot of construction on that road uh in that area.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So he cuts someone off in traffic, things get intense.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: I guess verbal insults were thrown, remarks were thrown, things were getting not physically aggressive in any way, it's it seems, but remarks are being thrown around and language was coming out.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, so he leaves the road rage incident and goes to a gas station.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: The car, the other car in the road rage incident, a fellow Mekwan resident, pulls in behind him and follows him to the gas station.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: So Matthew Art is getting out of his car, he's parked at the gas station, I'm assuming getting gas, and this guy pulls up to him, okay?
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: What?
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: And out of the car, you'll never believe it.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Out of the car steps a Jewish man.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And he starts filming and himself kind of harassing Matthew Art, and they're getting in a huge altercation, right?
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: He cut him off.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: The Israeli guy thinks it's because he's Israeli, and they're all of sun.
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: Art cut the Jewish man off.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Jewish, yes, yes.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 2:25unknown: Yes.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: And so then the Jewish man follows him on to the gas station.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: And then starts recording, and then they're screaming at each other, they're yelling at each other.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And then things get intense.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Then he's like, You're a traitor to this country.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: You're, you know, Israel's controlling our government, and you're a traitor to this country.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And F Israel, and I stand with the American people.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Actually, a pretty good message.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: But this guy is really upset then, and he's like, obviously not happy because he thinks it's because of his Jewish identity.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: We find out later that there's a sticker on the car that says F Hamas and On the Jewish man's car.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: On the Jew car.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And the the U is like, you know, it's the Star of David, the Israeli flag thing instead of a U.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So it's like F Hamas sticker on it.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: Clearly in support of Israel.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Clearly in support of Israel.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: The Jewish man follows into the gas station and then assumes, I don't know, I don't know what was said before because it wasn't recorded.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: It only was recorded once the Jewish man started recording it, recording it at the gas station.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: Convenient.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: The Jewish man is using it as he cut him off because he's anti-Semitic and he hates Jews and hates Israel, and he stands with Gaza or Hamas or whatever.
- 3:30SPEAKER_03: He's claiming that because he was cut off in traffic.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: But that's the reason.
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: It's because it's anti-Semitism.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: He uses that as, oh, that's why he cut me off.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And then here's the proof.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Here's the video at the gas station.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Here's obviously he's an anti-Semite.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And this guy kind of goes off, says a you know, a lot of explicit language, goes off, starts yelling at the guy, and is saying, you know, F is real, they're traders to the country, you're a traitor in this country.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I think he says, and then he says, F you, you know, and like they're all mad, they're all yelling at each other.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: And then the guy's like, the guy's like, really, really mad?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: And he's like recording it.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: He's like, he's like, well, what's what's your name?
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: He goes, he's like, what's your name?
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: You know, and he's like yelling at him.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: And then the guy goes, My name is Matthew Art.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I'm running for the sixth congressional district in Wisconsin.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: He's like, F is real, they're controlling our government.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: It's the funniest interaction I've ever heard.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Because he's like, you know, you're not gonna like you're you're ashamed, you're embarrassed, you're not gonna say your name, you know, you're not gonna and then he just like he gives his whole campaign, his campaign speech right there at the gas station while he's like screaming and cussing this guy out.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: So it's actually stand on business.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: I was like, stand on business.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: It was pretty funny.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's all great.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: It's all um, I don't know, it's a road rage incident, and then the one guy takes it as an attack on his identity.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: So whatever, playing victim again.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: But whatever.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: That's I guess that's just how it went.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: The problem is Matthew Arnt is then later arrested.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: They arrest him.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: And in Wisconsin, a hate crime in itself is not a law, but it the way I've heard about it is that it's a modification to a crime.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: So if you get charged with something and then the hate crime modification goes on, then it's like an extra, it's an additional six months to your sentence.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So you can't be charged with, I think, just a hate crime, but if you get charged and convicted of something, the hate crime can be added on, which makes no sense.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: How is that a hate crime?
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Him yelling at someone, him screaming at someone, him saying, I don't even know, racial slur.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I don't think he did, but if he did, that's a hate crime.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: That's a punishable offense.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: What about the First Amendment?
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: That's what you might be asking, right?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Well, apparently that doesn't matter.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: So what was his first charge?
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: Like what are they originally charging him for?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: He was arrested for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: So that's that modification I was hate crime enhancer?
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: That's that modification I was talking about.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: It's a hate crime enhancer, okay?
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: So stupid hate crime enhancer.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Disorderly conduct.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Do you know how much road rage happens?
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: It happens all the time.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's literally all the time.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Do you know how much road rage happens and then people go their separate ways and nothing, no harm done, no foul?
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: You know how the times I got a middle finger or a few.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: You get cut off or someone yells at you?
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: All the time.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: It's more rare when that person follows you to your destination, to your gas station, then gets out of their car and starts recording and alleging things at you.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: That's kind of stalking.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Assuming, yeah, and then assuming your intentions by it, which again, we don't know what happened beforehand.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: We only know what happened at the gas station when the Jewish man starts then recording it.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, you're not special.
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: Everyone gets cut off every day on their way to work.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Okay, I don't know if we know the identity of this man, which is one thing.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Second thing, the way, because Matthew Ark gets interviewed about it later by Fox News, the way he's interviewed about it, the way the interview asks about it, the way it's written in the article, all of it makes you assume he's a Jewish man.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's actually what that is.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Like the the words, the phrases, the things they use, I don't know if he's actually a Jewish man.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: He has a like, you know, FMAS Israel stand with Israel flag.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Correct.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: And then his But the assumption is laid into what everyone's saying.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: They're saying it's an attack on the Jewish community.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: It's an attack on the Jewish people.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: This guy, Matthew Art, in the video, he says you're a Jewish traitor, you know, you're a traitor to the state of Israel, like just like the rest of the government, you know.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: So it's like it's implicitly, it's or it's implied that he is Jewish, but I guess we don't have confirmation of that yet.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: So, okay.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: So after this, he gets later, he later gets interviewed by the Fox 6 news crew, you know.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna play that video for you right here.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: Um, because it kind of shares more what he was saying.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And he apologizes for his actions.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: He doesn't he doesn't uh go back on his beliefs, his stance, his statements, but he apologizes for his actions.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: So listen to this.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: You can hear it real quick here.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Notice what happened this morning.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna explain that to you because it's under police investigation right now.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Um did something happen on the road before getting to that gas station?
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: Possibly.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: You saw him follow me in the gas station.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: So under police investigation is.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I messed up.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: However, the message stands.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Free Palestine, save the children of Gaza.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: And right now, Israel is trying to take over our military, merge our military with theirs, and with and our intelligence apparatus.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: And no no one in Congress is doing anything.
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: The both both parties are letting it happen, and so I will continue to fight for that.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna back off from that, but I do definitely apologize for my behavior.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: You know, I messed up.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: I'm human.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: I make mistakes.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: Did you talk with this gentleman after this happened?
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't even know who he is.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: I don't know anything about him.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: Um your campaign, from what I've seen, says that you want to run an America that is for everyone.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: Why should Jewish people feel like they can vote for you?
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: This attack isn't directed at Jewish people.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: This attack is directed at the country of Israel.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: Everybody has equal rights in this country.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: Doesn't matter if you're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, unaffiliated, Hindu, whatsoever.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: Everybody has the same constitutional rights.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: I will, if I run, if I were to witness this district, I will stand up for everybody.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: I will represent Jewish people, I will represent represent Muslims, Christians, the unaffiliated.
- 9:51SPEAKER_02: They all get equal protection under the law.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: This is not what this is about.
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: I am not anti-anyone.
- 9:57SPEAKER_02: I am anti-Israel.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: And I am anti-the-israel government.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: But what about that video?
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: That 30 seconds in which you are cursing at this person again.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: You said F you to this guy several times.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: I've said that to probably other people.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: I've said that to people when I've played sports and been in the locker room, okay?
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: If somebody is going to threaten you and follow you, I didn't follow him.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: He followed me.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: Once again, he followed me.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: I did not follow him.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: The video clearly shows that, right?
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Why should people say that this is behavior of someone I want to represent us in Congress?
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: Uh you know, because it shows I'm a fighter.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: It shows I'm willing to fight for them.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: It shows I'm willing to not back down because I won't back.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: I will not back down.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: I will not let this country be merged with another country.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: It's a violation of our sovereignty.
- 10:59SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: You know the interrogation.
- 11:01SPEAKER_03: I thought I thought media was supposed to be unbiased.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: He's like, Why did you attack this man?
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: And then he leaves out the part where he's like, Well, he did follow you to the gas station and start recording and harassing you after.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: But like, yeah.
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: That's threatening behavior.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: No, I like that.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: I we need more people that are willing to stand on business and not be so passive.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: It's okay to say, Oh, I got that interaction wrong.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: You know, I messed up, it was heated in the moment.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Maybe you guys would have done the same thing if he was following you in traffic too, and then showed up to your location, not knowing what this guy's intentions are.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: All you know is that you got in a road rage incident earlier and now he's recording you.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: So I think that's totally fair.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: And for him, yeah, to not back down.
- 11:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: For him to say all those things.
- 11:46SPEAKER_03: Not like not crumble for like cancel culture.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Like free Gaza.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: I I could care less.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Or free piles, I could care less.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: But it's like, but we really don't need to be supporting Israel.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: We don't need to be supporting the genocide on the people in Gaza, which you can say what you want, but that is what they're trying to do.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: So and merging our militaries.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: Yes, merging assets and intelligence software.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: Attack on our sovereignty.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: It is true.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Like, we don't do that with other countries.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: We don't just merge um in, you know, the defense of that is oh, well, they're not actually merging militaries, they're merging certain aspects of our weapons programs in our intelligence chair.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: It's like okay.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: So different.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Um, it's not like it's a little bit more than an ally at this point.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Um, so but for this guy to bring all that stuff up, you know, especially in the wake of the Iran war and in all that stuff, it's like that's totally valid.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And for him to defend his position even after this, even after he comes under attack, that's also valid.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Agree with him, disagree with him.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: I like that he's talking about it at least.
- 12:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: Because a lot of people shy away from it and a lot of people won't talk about it.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Well, then if you do talk about it when you're in Congress, they just pay, you know, millions of dollars for the campaign for the other side and just get you, they get you unseated from your seat, you know.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: So it's like the video he didn't play is his interaction with this um guy.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: If you want to, we have the links to it.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: If you want to watch the video, you definitely should.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: That was just his interview after with the Fox News anchor.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Um what he does say in the video, you know, he says, okay, I'm running for Congress, F Israel, F yourself.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Then he said, The whole country's against you, you piece of, you know.
- 13:21SPEAKER_03: So Yeah, no, it's definitely not a great look.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: No, but he's telling the truth.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And yeah, majority of the country is not with Israel, and the what it seems like now, it's like the neocons didn't disappear.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: It's like they just you know went under the radar for a little bit, and like now the pro-war neocon Israel party is like back with MAGA with Trump.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And that's what the whole point of this Iran war is.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: So it's like I think because of that whole situation, it's totally valid to bring this up, and it's for him to want to defend his actions and his thoughts and his and like you said, vote for him or don't vote for him, right?
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: But that's his stance on it, and he's not gonna back down.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: So I think that's kind of good to see.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, he's right.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: The people are not with that.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Now, there are older boomers, there are older conservatives that are still with that, still on that agenda, still with 100% wholeheartedly with Trump, no matter what.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: That does exist, but that's not the majority of the country.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: And like I don't even think it's the majority of conservatives anymore, you know?
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: The Iran war, the Epstein files, the handling of the economy, all these things are like a permanent stain on Trump's legacy and a permanent betrayal of his voter base that got him here in 2024.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: So all the things he promised or said he would do, he didn't do.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: All these things he kind of said he wouldn't do, he portrayed it and went back on his word, and then he actually didn't ended up doing them.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So the people are frustrated.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: The people are frustrated with not being put first, the people are frustrated with putting another country first over our own needs, over our own sovereignty, as he as he mentions her.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: So he's totally.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: I do want to say one more thing about this quick, and we can wrap it up.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Okay, the Wisconsin Green Party, coordinating council has seen the video involving Matthew Arnt, and the Wisconsin Green Party stands firmly with Palestinian human rights and an end to the U.S.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: support for the war in Gaza.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Shouting obscenities at someone in a parking lot doesn't advance that cause.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: We've spoken with Matthew and he said he will address this directly.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: The coordinating council will wait for the police report before commenting further on what happened.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: That's from Fox Sex News.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Then we have a statement again from Fox Sex News from the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: This is where it gets good.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: What do they have to say?
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: They condemn the hateful and intimidating behavior captured on video today in Mekwan.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: See, it was intimidating that he said those things, not that the Jewish guy followed him after and recorded him and got in his face up.
- 16:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah and got in his face.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: That's the intimidating thing.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Captured a video today in Mekwan, directed a member of our Jewish community.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: So then he must be Jewish.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: The Jewish Federation itself, Milwaukee Jewish Federation, really, they said that he's a direct direct member of the Jewish community.
- 16:26SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Our Jewish community deeply values the freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: No, they don't.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Including the right to express political opinions and criticize Israel government policies.
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: Well, that's what he did.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: Stop noticing, stop noticing.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: The First Amendment protects first free speech, not unlawful harassment or threats.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: So you tell me where in the video was there an unlawful harassment or a threat?
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Now, we don't know stuff happened before, that's true.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Where in the video at all, if you go and look watch it, there there is no unlawful harassment or threats being made.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: We've been aware of this incident and have been working closely with members of our community.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: We appreciate the Mekwan Police Department for taking this matter seriously and for its commitment to community safety.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Milwaukee Jewish Federation remains committed to ensuring that Wisconsin is a place where Jews can live freely, safely, and proudly express their Jewish identity.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: And they do.
- 17:18SPEAKER_03: And they do.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: We will encourage everyone to report any incidence of anti-Semitism to Milwaukee Jewish Federation, and then they give you their number and call this number.
- 17:32SPEAKER_03: We got you.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, their number or their website.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: It's like Yeah, I mean, we we've said it before.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: It's like they say that they are in support of the First Amendment and expressing your political beliefs, but then they want this man in prison for doing just that.
- 17:54SPEAKER_03: There was no threat, there wasn't harassment.
- 17:57SPEAKER_03: If anything, there was harassment on the other side, like you said, following someone and then getting in their face with a phone.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: They say you you're in you're well within your right.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: That's what the first amendment's for.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: You can, yeah, the government, the state of Israel, of course.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Why would we care?
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And then in the same breath, it's it was an attack on our Jewish community.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: And we were harassed and victimized.
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: And we can't live safely in this country anymore.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: We don't feel safe.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Well, it's like, well, then does he not he then he doesn't have the first amendment right to say anything critical about the state of Israel or anything critical about Jewish people in the state of Israel or the government over there?
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Or his main point of that was that our government is being severely influenced or controlled by the Jewish state of Israel.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: That's what he's saying.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: So how is that an attack on Jewish people in America?
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: How is the Jew in Mekwan in any way, why is he attacked by that comment?
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: If you think about think about your ancestry, where you're from, if that country, let's say France, let's say you're French, if if a guy came up and said, hey, the US needs to cut all their ties and all their policies and all their beneficial policies towards France, would you feel an attack as a French person?
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: Would you say that's an attack on my identity?
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Now, regardless of your religion or anything else, you would say, Oh, my, my, I'm French, my ethnicity is French.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: That's an attack on me.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, the guy is making a critical statement about a country where you were from or your ancestors were from or that you should have no affiliation with today.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Like, that's the attack on that.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And you take that as a personal attack on you and your community.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: That's the difference.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Because it's the exact same scenario, either way, it would be the same critic, it would be the same criticism that he would have for France versus the same criticism he would have for Israel.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: But one community, one group takes that as an attack on them and their community and their safety and their freedom to live in a place.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: But yeah, don't worry.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: You still have your First Amendment rights.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: Don't worry, that's not under attack.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Just saying anything critical about what we want is under attack.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So it's like, right, you can't win.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Do you think Mekwan will find him guilty?
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so uh this case is Ozaki County.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: They apparently they're the ones who are gonna decide to bring the trial, then bring the trial or find him guilty, yeah.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: I think they will.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: That area is very uh Jewish.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: It's not though.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: It's like just Mekwan.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: I thought it kind of was.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: There's always like Jewish people out and about.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: There's not that many Jews in Wisconsin.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: This is like, which is what you were saying, like, is it a publicity stunt?
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: But also, there's not that many Jews in Wisconsin.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: This is crazy.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: The odds of this happening.
- 20:33SPEAKER_03: That it just so happened to be him and the Matthew Arnt, and then it just so happened to be like it's kind of too perfect.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: The odds of it happening in Macquan are probably higher than anywhere else in Wisconsin, but the odds are extremely low.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: So yeah, we just thought we'd bring that up because it it talks about a broader issue with the I well, I say with the Trump regime, with the Trump kind of movement, as well as their ties to Israel, as well as our government ties to Israel, and as well as the free speech issue that's become like it's kind of become a big topic recently.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: We had the we had the AI child porn issue that we talked about a few episodes ago.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that lady that's the n-word to that kid that what that could do.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: The same thing with Shiloh Hendricks in Minnesota.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: So you have these free speech issues come up all the time, and those are it it's just they just pick and choose.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: So no, it's not your first amendment, right?
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: It's whatever we deem acceptable or okay or legal to say.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: So the right is being muddied and confused and diluted on purpose.
- 21:41SPEAKER_03: That is so crazy.
- 21:42SPEAKER_03: Child pornography, AI child pornography is protected under the First Amendment.
- 21:47SPEAKER_03: But then you can't say F is real.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: A random guy running just for a Congress seat in Wisconsin is like for the congressional district, like that's that's a hate call.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: That's what gets you prison time, jail time.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: That gets you the hate crime enhancer.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: The hate crime enhancer?
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: That's another level of victimization.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: You're gonna get the hate crime enhancer.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_03: Unbelievable.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Alright, we kind of spent most of the episode on that.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: We do have our stirring the pot that we have to get to.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Um so for this week, we have a couple different ones in here.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: You can't listen to choose from.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And then we'll give our little rundown or breakdown on it.
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: Sticking together.
- 22:40SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, you did post-it notes.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: That's that's why they're sticking together.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: I did not want to get scissors and do like a whole thing.
- 22:48SPEAKER_03: I was, I had limited time.
- 22:50SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 22:51SPEAKER_03: The question of today is can you be a Christian and still enjoy secular music and entertainment?
- 22:58SPEAKER_03: You go.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: I go.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: All right, I'll go.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Uh yes, I think you can.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 23:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I agree.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: You thought I you thought I would disagree.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: See, she didn't ask me about this question before or anything.
- 23:08SPEAKER_03: I was just, I just found good questions and I was like, I'll just do that.
- 23:10SPEAKER_03: Did you think I would disagree?
- 23:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, actually, I did.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: No.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: I think there are lots of secular, what was it, music and entertainment?
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: I think there's lots of secular music and entertainment that you shouldn't participate in or watch or listen to.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: But I don't think secular, as in not having to do with God, you know, like things that don't directly mention God or tie anything to Christian, whatever, whatever.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I don't think that that's necessarily wrong to listen to.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, we hear secular as Christians and we think it automatically means listening to like a Cardi B all the time.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Or like a demonic ritual from like a music video or something, you know.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: So and I think you should stay away from that type of stuff.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: But I don't think that means you can't enjoy anything secular.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: And there's like there are people I know, there are people out there that would say, um, you know, if it doesn't directly mention God or Jesus or Christ or the Bible, then it's automatically secular, which is like, okay, it's secular, but that does that make it automatically wrong.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: And I would say, as Christians, you need to have enough, you know, in the world, but not of it, right?
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: But I think you need to have enough awareness and engagement with yourself, kind of in in what's going on in the world, not being in the world, but you know, what's going on in it, um, to be able to not only relate to other people that aren't believers, but to also be able to spread the gospel to them in a way that's I think understandable or approachable to them.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Right, relatable.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: If you're stuck in your Christian bubble and you never go outside of that at all, you never see outside of that all, well, A, I think you're probably you're not well equipped to be a Christian.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: And I think B, you're not gonna be able to, I think, witness or share God's love to other people that are like vastly different than you.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 24:54SPEAKER_03: And like witnessing doesn't mean just leaving a track at the grocery store too.
- 24:57SPEAKER_03: People get that messed up all the time.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: And it's like, no, witnessing comes in when you have and you build relationships, relationships with people that aren't Christians and they're able to trust you and understand you and see where you're coming from.
- 25:10SPEAKER_03: If you approach someone and you automatically just, hey, you're going to hell, this is what you need to do not to go to hell.
- 25:15SPEAKER_03: And I'm a Christian and you're trying, like, yeah, and no one's going to listen to you.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: And I think we should be careful, like, don't, I'm not saying cater to their sin or anything like that, but you need to be able to understand and not be you know immediately a judgmental, unapproachable Christian if you have any hopes of sharing or witnessing or anything like that.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: So at some level, you need to be able to relate to them on a human level.
- 25:43SPEAKER_03: Because you're you're both sinners and you both need Christ.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: Kind of like, no offense to the Amish, but like kind of like if the Amish they go out in the world, like I don't think they're interested as much in, you know, other people or anything like that.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: And I don't even know if the Amish would say they're technically Christian, but like they don't have an interest in other people or getting to know other people or anything like that.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like same thing with like Indians, you know, like you see like Indians at the grocery store, like they don't they're they're not trying to talk to you.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: They have the way they do things and they like things, yeah.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: And they kind of speak English.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: And it's like they don't care to share that with you or talk to you about anything like that.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: They're kind of separated from everyone else.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: So, Christians, we need to be in the world, but not of it.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: We need to be at places, involved with places, you know, see things, do things to be around.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying like you should only be around unbelievers or unsaved people, but it's like that is the majority of your interactions.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: That's what happens in the real world.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's what happens at work or school.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: You need to be well equipped to handle it.
- 26:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, to help the world, you need to understand it somewhat.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:43SPEAKER_03: How it works, what how people think.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:46SPEAKER_03: No, the best, the best, I guess, interactions of or opportunities, I should say.
- 26:53SPEAKER_03: The best opportunities that I've had to witness are places that I consistently go and people I consistently build a relationship with.
- 27:02SPEAKER_03: Whether that's at work, whether that's you know, um at school.
- 27:06SPEAKER_03: That's where they're able to really see the love of Christ through you.
- 27:11SPEAKER_03: They notice, they always do.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: I always get that.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: They they're like something is different about you.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: Why do you not swear?
- 27:18SPEAKER_03: Surprisingly, right?
- 27:19SPEAKER_03: Guys, I'm not, I'm working on it.
- 27:21SPEAKER_03: Why don't you talk like this?
- 27:22SPEAKER_03: Why don't you act like this?
- 27:23SPEAKER_03: Why don't you do this?
- 27:24SPEAKER_03: They notice because you do stand out, and that opens the door for more conversation.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Mark 16 is the verse that comes to mind for me.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: So Mark 16, 15 through 16.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: That's a final commandment from the Lord when he's on earth to go into all the world, you know, and preach the gospel, spread the gospel, be a Christ-like example.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: So I don't think you can do that very well if you are exclusive, setting yourself like like like cutting yourself off, you know, putting yourself away, not interacting or being a part of that in any means, you know, with unbelievers.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: So and I don't think that's a free ticket to do whatever that's secular or whatever that's you know there's a line that can be crossed.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 28:12SPEAKER_03: But I'm not saying go do drugs with homeless people, right?
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: To get to get involved, get in the circle, you know.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: No, obviously not.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: But God does not just command us to shut ourselves out to the offs to the outside world.
- 28:25SPEAKER_03: So absolutely.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: All right, all right.
- 28:27SPEAKER_03: So we agree.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: I guess so.
- 28:29SPEAKER_03: I totally thought you would have maybe disagreed more.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: No, I don't I don't think so.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: That's where I stand.
- 28:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, I love that.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: Thanks for listening to this week's episode.
