A 37-year-old man, Demetrius Norwood, just got sentenced to over 12 years for trying to murder a woman he was dating—firing shots at her car, then later crashing his own vehicle into two police cruisers while drunk and armed. After a volatile confrontation at her home where her kids were present, Norwood escalated, threatening officers and leaving behind a loaded gun and empty booze bottle.
