Latest / Worldview Matters With David Fiorazo / JB Hixson: Biblical Response To Politics, Leftist Media, And Voting
Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19Hey friends, God bless you, JB Hickson is my guest today, we'll get to him in a couple
- 0:24seconds, but good news.
- 0:26I was notified I'm back on YouTube after being penalized and being removed by violating
- 0:33their community standards, which I shared a little bit in detail I think, if I remember
- 0:37right, on The Not By Works Podcast.
- 0:41So by the way, and thank you for following us on Rumble, if you have not yet, go to Rumble
- 0:47and look up Freedom Project and follow the, actually you can download the app as well,
- 0:52Freedom Project Media app.
- 0:55And also follow me on Rumble, because I have been able to post continually, even when
- 0:59I was in YouTube jail.
- 1:02So JB Hickson, Not By Works, thank you so much for coming back on, we're going to continue
- 1:06our conversation brother, good to see you again.
- 1:09Hey likewise David, always a pleasure, you're such a gracious friend and a commentator
- 1:14and just love your work and always enjoy our conversations.
- 1:18As do I.
- 1:19And before we get to what I mentioned, continuing our conversation, people going, what conversation?
- 1:24We'll talk about that in a minute and the YouTube, I mean, The Not By Works Podcast.
- 1:29But you have a book that you're coming out with a third edition getting the gospel wrong.
- 1:35Tell us about this, why put, do the third edition and go ahead and share.
- 1:39Yeah, you bet.
- 1:41So this is actually the first book I wrote out of, out of the 13.
- 1:44It was originally my PhD dissertation back in 06 or 7.
- 1:50And then we kind of recast it and published it.
- 1:53And through the years, it's just, you know, as attacks on the gospel increase, we've had
- 1:58the opportunity to revise it, add chapters and so forth.
- 2:02And that opportunity came up again here recently, the publisher that I had worked with for
- 2:07the second edition, sold to another publisher.
- 2:10They reached out and said, Hey, can you do a third edition and add another chapter?
- 2:13So we added a chapter in this latest edition on the fake gospel, the AI gospel of what
- 2:20I call the pretend gospel.
- 2:22And then, you know, tweak the few things here and there.
- 2:24So if folks have gotten my previous editions of getting the gospel wrong, it's substantially
- 2:29the same.
- 2:30But there is a new chapter and a new preface that I wrote at the beginning and I encourage
- 2:34you to check it out.
- 2:35It really expresses the running theme and heartbeat of NBW Ministries, which of course is the
- 2:40clarity, accuracy and urgency of the gospel, even though a lot of the stuff we've done
- 2:46in more recent years is Bible prophecy related through it all.
- 2:50We want to make sure we sound a clear alarm about the gospel that people need Jesus.
- 2:54They need to trust in him.
- 2:56He's their only hope.
- 2:57He died and rose again for their sins.
- 2:59And you can't, you can do a lot to prepare for what's happening in this world.
- 3:04But if you don't take care of your soul, if you don't make sure you're right with God
- 3:07by faith alone in Christ alone, then all of that doesn't matter.
- 3:11And one way that people obviously get the gospel wrong is thinking they can work and work
- 3:14and work and, you know, somehow get in that way.
- 3:18And that takes me to notbyworks.org, your website, notbyworks.org.
- 3:23And I'm looking at some of the people you've had on your podcast, the NBW Ministries Podcast
- 3:28lately, trouble makers that I've had on as well.
- 3:31And Michael Andy Woods, Tom Hughes, Lee Brainerd, oh my goodness, you've had John Halen.
- 3:37Who's this David Fiorazzo guy?
- 3:39Let's talk about that one.
- 3:43So August 1st, I was on your podcast, which was it last week already or whatever.
- 3:49Thank you.
- 3:50And we had a really good conversation and it was a lot of it was about politics.
- 3:53And that's where we'll go today.
- 3:55But the title of that was, how can Christians navigate these uncharted waters?
- 4:00So we talked about a lot of things and basically I shared at that time, I shared our rumble channel
- 4:07because people were not able to find me on YouTube for a short time because I was penalized
- 4:14for mentioning some headlines that the six states sued Pfizer and I think one other
- 4:25one, I think, but Pfizer for sure over misrepresentation on the C-19er jab.
- 4:36And all I did was share the headlines and then I quoted Rand Paul, who's done some amazing
- 4:41work.
- 4:42He's still exposing Fauci and the lies and there's such a lack of accountability.
- 4:48So you guys pray for Rand Paul as well and his protection.
- 4:52And so JB, we had a great conversation and what I wanted to do today, I really thought
- 4:56we touched on some really important topics for Christians in election and campaign season.
- 5:02There it is at notbyworks.org.
- 5:05How can Christians navigate these uncharted waters because we've got some interesting things
- 5:08happening geopolitically, but right here in America with just the assassination attempt
- 5:15on President Trump, with now we've got Kamala Harris, will she actually be the candidate?
- 5:23The weakest possible Democrat candidate I think in history that you would think has no
- 5:29chance of winning, but the media is really doing a whitewashing of her record, her beliefs,
- 5:37her world view, her background.
- 5:40And as Tom Cotton recently tweeted, Kamala Harris won't speak with the press, but she
- 5:45will speak with pro-Hamas radicals and suggests she's open to a full arms embargo against
- 5:52Israel.
- 5:54Your thoughts on just that one point, JB?
- 5:56Yeah, it really is puzzling David to think about Kamala and it's really hard to figure
- 6:03out what they're angling for.
- 6:05I can't imagine that a ticket that involves Harris and what's his name.
- 6:11That's what I call the running mate because he's really a big nothing burger.
- 6:14I mean, they could have listed, obviously I'm not a progressive, I'm not a liberal and
- 6:19I'm not a Democrat, but I could have listed a hundred candidates that would have seemed
- 6:22like a stronger candidate running mate than this guy from Minnesota.
- 6:26But anyway, it's hard to figure out what's going on.
- 6:29My best guess is they're angling for another stolen election and it's going to be so far
- 6:35fetched, so hard for anyone to fathom that that ticket could beat Trump with his popularity
- 6:41that it will foam into some unrest and some civil disorder and all kinds of craziness.
- 6:47That's one option.
- 6:48But you're right.
- 6:49They are gaslighting America right now.
- 6:51They're completely recasting her, remaking her.
- 6:55If someone had gone into a coma two years ago or even four years ago and then just now
- 7:01woke up and saw the headlines with Kamala Harris, they would be like, what in the world?
- 7:05How could this possibly be?
- 7:07She was the last place candidate running for Democratic nomination.
- 7:11She had a meteoric rise, basically kind of got favors all the way to the top in California.
- 7:17She's radically left.
- 7:19I mean, radically left one of the most liberal senators ever.
- 7:23And yet suddenly here she's, you know, everybody's answered to all the world's problems.
- 7:28And so I don't understand it, but of course my worldview, and I think we're going to get
- 7:33into some of this, is that the Luciferians long ago really took control of the election
- 7:39process in the United States through digital vote tabulation machines and really going
- 7:44back to 2012 when it was a Romney versus Obama, I've been sounding the alarm about this
- 7:51every four years and you know, I get some people that are upset at me because they don't
- 7:56share my view.
- 7:57I respect that.
- 7:58I totally do.
- 7:59And I want to be gracious.
- 8:00I'm not telling people how to vote or whether to vote or who to vote for.
- 8:03I'm just telling you, my study, the opinion on where we stand and yeah, I'd love to talk
- 8:09more about that.
- 8:10Yeah.
- 8:11Even before that with John McCain, and I'm thinking, wow, so we had Sarah Palin, which, you
- 8:18know, I really admired her and what she did, her record and her faith.
- 8:22Man, she was attacked viciously and since then, the media has not let up on any Christian
- 8:29or conservative or truly Republican in the truest definition of the platform and the word
- 8:38there, just on the attack, their attack dogs and right now they're doing a disservice
- 8:43to the American people on purpose covering for common.
- 8:47That's how I'll put it.
- 8:48She's got ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
- 8:51Her background is so radical, as you mentioned.
- 8:54And Trevor Loudon, I've had him on this podcast and he said, people like Kamala Harris would
- 8:58not pass a security background check that any other American would have to take for a government
- 9:04job.
- 9:05But yet here she is and many others, so there's a plug for Trevor Loudon.
- 9:10But I want to mention just some of the things about the new guy, the VP, at least now Tim
- 9:14Wells, Minnesota.
- 9:17What happened in Minnesota with the George Floyd, how did that all go?
- 9:21Well, he helped ignite what happened in Minnesota.
- 9:26He said he stalled on deploying the National Guard for an entire day.
- 9:31People don't remember this and they're trying to make Wells out as a moderate.
- 9:35He blamed the city for not submitting the right paperwork.
- 9:40So the National Guard didn't get out there and that's the reason, right?
- 9:43And there's so much more after the attempted assassination on Trump, Wells called Trump
- 9:50and his supporters fascists.
- 9:52This is just days after.
- 9:54So they're not changing their rhetoric and this is just the kind of thing that I mean,
- 9:59he has the most radical abortion laws in the country's zero limits.
- 10:05By the way, every year five to six babies are born alive.
- 10:09They survive an abortion attempt, but then they're murdered legally under laws that people
- 10:14like Tim Wells and Kamala Harris and Barack Obama supported, meaning you cannot protect.
- 10:18I think there was an act the Born Alive Infant Protection Act about a decade ago that people
- 10:25like Obama voted against will Kamala Harris is in that showboat.
- 10:28So anyway, I can go on about what Wells did, but what he did with taxpayer money and during
- 10:34COVID and what he did to the state and Minnesota has become a haven for Islam for radical Muslims.
- 10:43Second amendment too, he's very bad on that.
- 10:46I mean, so there's a terrible state for that.
- 10:49Even though it's a big hunting state, it's ironically not very good on gun rights.
- 10:53But yeah, I mean, I mean, it's just part for the course.
- 10:57I mean, that's how far the left has gone, which there's so far off the reservation now,
- 11:02closer we get to the return of Christ, that it makes the Republicans able to be also far left,
- 11:11but yet not quite as far as the extreme progressives of the Democratic Party.
- 11:16It's that over 10 window, David, that the civilians ever since the 60s,
- 11:21when as we know from leaked documents at the CFR, they intentionally decided to create a two party system
- 11:26where they controlled both sides, that as long as they can make sure that the right is less evil than the left,
- 11:35then they keep moving that window.
- 11:37And so now you've got two candidates.
- 11:39One who thinks the platform is you can kill any baby any time for any reason, even after birth,
- 11:46as you said, in some cases, which is horrific, it's just a matter of degree,
- 11:50because I know people are rightly disturbed by some of the views of the left and of the Democratic Party.
- 11:58But on some of the big issues, such as the right to life,
- 12:01it's really just a matter of degree, because the Republican Party has now officially changed its platform.
- 12:06They say that in certain cases, it's perfectly acceptable to kill an innocent baby in the womb.
- 12:12And they also have said, and Trump is on record with this, as recently as the debate,
- 12:17that he's in favor of the abortion pill, which can kill an innocent baby for any reason in the womb.
- 12:24And so life begins at conception, that's what the Bible says, all life is sacred.
- 12:28Killing a two-year-old child is no worse than killing an infant in the womb.
- 12:33And until people begin to understand that, I think they will be content to vote for any candidate
- 12:41that just doesn't kill as many babies, and somehow they think that's better.
- 12:45But so, yeah, I mean, they've moved the target, the baseline, if you will, so far to the left by design,
- 12:54which is a sign of the times, that it forces Christians who really, in good conscience, believe they need to vote,
- 13:02that they certainly can't vote for a Democrat, but it sort of forces them to hold their nose
- 13:07and vote for a candidate that, more and more these days, is holding views that do not reflect a biblical worldview.
- 13:15I agree, and it's really hard for me to say that they have redefined pro-life.
- 13:22Now you have to add these asterisks, you know, after that, it's like, well, accept, accept for, accept for.
- 13:29And wait a minute, if God determines life as the Bible teaches at conception, in the womb,
- 13:39that's the life that is worthy of protecting and has value, no matter what stage of pregnancy, right?
- 13:47No matter what size, no matter what level of development, no matter the environment,
- 13:52and the degree of dependency on the mother, you know, so we have a problem.
- 13:57That's just part of it, JB, you said something very interesting, and we've got to take a break in a minute.
- 14:03The lines have shifted, and it's interesting that they always seem to go to the left.
- 14:09Even now, the compromise, and I've seen this happen for years now, not with all Republicans,
- 14:15not with all political candidates, but we've seen way too many compromise and maybe to keep their job,
- 14:23maybe to whatever, but it's doing the country a disservice because they're well-meaning Christians out there going,
- 14:30and well, now what am I going to do? And we'll talk about that when it comes to voting,
- 14:34and the election more with JB Hicks, and when we come back on World View Matters.
- 14:38Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily.

- 15:27So, we're back with JB Hicks, and before we get to what are we to do, which is kind of what I left off with,
- 15:34meaning Bible-believing Christians, JB, let's get back to the media briefly because the leftist, progressive, demonic,
- 15:43well, maybe I'm being redundant. The media in America can no longer be trusted.
- 15:48There's record-low levels of trust in the media that they're actually serving all the people because
- 15:56they're not. Not to say there are not a few honest journalists, Alex Newman, and a handful of others,
- 16:02you know, but they're not, they don't have the big power, the big megaphone, of the big three
- 16:08networks, the mainstream, and, you know, whatever, the cable. So, people know, most people watching to,
- 16:16you know, this show and fans of not by works, they know we can't get our news from the media,
- 16:24or believe what they say, most of the time. What are we to do? What advice can you give people to
- 16:31be informed and not be overwhelmed? And we can't fight this battle and win, meaning the battle of
- 16:37information any longer. Yeah, I mean, the media has been complicit for a long, long time in the
- 16:43big picture agenda. It's a controlled opposition paradigm, which goes all the way back to the
- 16:49Middle Ages and Machiavelli, the whole Hagellian dialectic in the 18th century, Friedrich Hegel,
- 16:54kind of gave it a name, so to speak. But it's this idea of making people think they have a voice
- 17:00by controlling both sides of the issue, the system. And so, there are real issues, absolutely,
- 17:07certainly there are real issues. Now, I contend that the platforms of the two parties are now
- 17:12almost indistinguishable. It's just a matter of degree. So, people all the time will say, well,
- 17:17the left is going to do this and do that. In fact, I had an email recently, someone said, well,
- 17:21you know, if the left gets in power again in November, they're going to shut down the churches
- 17:28with another pandemic like they did last time. And I just had a chuckle and I go talk about revisionist
- 17:32history. It was Trump and Pence that shut down the churches the last time, not a Democratic president.
- 17:38So, you know, they control both sides. And I think the media right now we're seeing it more than
- 17:45ever before is completely carrying the water for Kamala and recasting her, ignoring the facts,
- 17:53ignoring the history and just painting her in a completely different light. So, but that's
- 17:58nothing new. It's just more profound now. But you're right, David. The angst that I see on Christian's
- 18:05hearts and faces when I talk about these matters at conferences and at our resource table when
- 18:11we're out in the lobby and so forth, it's palpable. I mean, people are sort of waking up to the
- 18:17reality that suddenly we have a choice between evil and evil. And I mean, the principle of the
- 18:25lesser of two evils has been around for a long time and we certainly hand it. You don't want to
- 18:30vote for the worst of the two candidates who would, right? But it's just gotten so blatant now that
- 18:36Christians are really struggling. And so I encourage people to to check out a prophecy night video
- 18:43from on the not by works website or app, the NBW ministry's app from July 30th was the date. If
- 18:49you just scroll back into July 30th, I shared my heart graciously, honestly, from the heart on my
- 18:57views of what I personally feel about the coming election. But I want to reiterate as I did then
- 19:03that I completely get it. And I respect each individual believers decision to vote and to vote
- 19:12for Trump. But there are other candidates on the ballot. And God is not, this is what I want to
- 19:16remind people of. God is not obligated as the almighty creator of the universe to limit himself to a
- 19:23two party system in the United States of America. The same God that protected Donald Trump from an
- 19:28Assassin's bullet certainly can work outside in a miraculous way of the two party system. So when
- 19:34when people say, well, I can't vote for a third party candidate because I'm throwing my vote
- 19:39away. What they're saying is God's not able to use your vote out of conviction and moral
- 19:45obligation. You, you, you must choose Coke or Pepsi. And as long as you choose Coke and Pepsi,
- 19:50God is sovereign. But if you decide you don't want Coke or Pepsi, forget it. Somehow God is no
- 19:54longer sovereign and able to do a miracle. So, you know, if enough Christians, I know from a human
- 19:59standpoint, it sounds impossible. But we've got all are impossible. But if enough Christians would
- 20:05say, you know what, I can't vote for a candidate who believes it's okay to murder some innocent
- 20:10children in the womb, who thinks LGBTQ is the is the new wave and is all fort celebrating and
- 20:16every time there's an agenda and he said publicly that I'm going to help advance your cause in that
- 20:20regard. And who wants to give part of the land away to the Muslims, part of the Holy Land? I
- 20:26personally can't do it. But I have friends, colleagues, people I'm very close to that having
- 20:31weighed all the evidence, prayed about it. They feel like at this time for such a time as this,
- 20:37their, their best option is to vote for the Republican candidate. And I, I respect that. That's
- 20:41between them and the Lord. I'm a pepper. He's a pepper. She's a pepper. We're a pepper. Anyway,
- 20:46not Coke or Pepsi. Yeah. Dr. Pepper, you forget it. You're out of luck. I just want to maybe get
- 20:54you to clarify what you said about the platforms and it's, they're the same. It's just, they're
- 21:02almost the same. It's just a matter of degree. I know on the life issue, unfortunately, and that's
- 21:08a huge one. But what about open borders? Trans ideology, the Republicans aren't in favor of
- 21:16mutilating young children. What about the socialism on steroids and high taxes? And what about
- 21:22Israel? They seem to be anti-Semites on the Democrat side. The Republicans seem to be generally pro-Israel
- 21:30and you see communist policy, communist policy in America. When it comes to the left and what they're
- 21:37doing when it comes to censorship, look what they did during COVID, silencing opposition, putting out
- 21:42their talking points and their propaganda. But then saying everybody else, that's misinformation.
- 21:48So these things, the Republicans do not support. So when you say it's just a matter of degree,
- 21:53can you maybe explain that a little bit more? Yeah. So I think certainly there are some issues that
- 21:58the Republicans hold the high ground on and are completely right on. But several of the ones you
- 22:05mentioned, they are a matter of degree. As I said, Donald Trump is on record supporting a two-state
- 22:11solution for Israel. He and Jared Kushner want to give part of God's holy land to the Muslims.
- 22:18Well, that's never going to happen. That's not what any Christian should be in favor of. It's
- 22:21God's land. It's his holy land. And he's not going to allow it to be divvied up in some kind of a
- 22:28failed attempt or futile attempt piece. So that's a matter of degree. Now they are, is the Republican
- 22:35side as anti-Semitic as the left? Absolutely not. I mean, they're off the charts anti-Semitic.
- 22:41But again, it's a matter of degree. It's not like the right is 100% supportive of Israel. Same
- 22:46thing with the transgender. The Democrats might be wanting to radically say that a 10-year-old can
- 22:52have surgery without his parents' knowledge to slice and dice and cut him up or her up, which is
- 22:58horrific. And Republicans are against that. But they are absolutely in favor of gay marriage,
- 23:05the transgender movement. Trump, this is a direct quote from Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. He said,
- 23:10quote, we are fighting for the gay community and we are fighting and fighting hard. And he said
- 23:15this to loud cheers of LGBT people, hundreds of them gathered at Mar-a-Lago. He said, with the help
- 23:20of many people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides. The strides
- 23:27you've made here are incredible. Well, it's not my movement. Whose movement is he talking about? I'm
- 23:31not a part of the transgender, transgender LGBTQ movement. So again, a matter of degree. Is it
- 23:37is radical as the, you know, all the stuff on the left? No, but it's there. And then of course,
- 23:42we've already talked about abortion. It's, you know, it's just amazing to me. I mean, if I would hope
- 23:48that if the Republican platform was in favor of killing two-year-old children in certain circumstances,
- 23:54it for convenience or if they were, you know, having a rough life, that Christians would stand up and
- 23:59say, in unison, absolutely not. That's what the Republican platform is now saying you can do with
- 24:05unborn children. In certain circumstances, it's okay to kill them. And to me, that there's no
- 24:11difference in God's eyes between a human life in the woman outside of the woman. All life is sacred
- 24:16and valuable. So I do think it's a matter of degree. And I just wonder how far left and evil the
- 24:24Republicans have to get before Christians finally just say, I can't support this anymore, whatever,
- 24:29let the chips fall where they may. It's sort of an end justifies the means approach, right?
- 24:36And so, you know, we saw this with Germany. We see this throughout history where, you know, if you
- 24:41say, well, you know, there's less harm done with this rather than standing on principle, that's
- 24:47the whole lesser of two evils. I think we're not giving God a chance to be God and work. That's my,
- 24:53that's my view. No, I think I just want to pause as we continue slowly and help people absorb
- 25:01and process what you just shared because I believe it's very important.
- 25:06It's very important. I like Donald Trump. I really do. I like a lot of the things he did when
- 25:11he was in office, but I agree with you on being pro-LGBTQ and he wants to be all things to all people
- 25:19and he's not drawing any line morally. And as Christians who read the Bible, we've got to be
- 25:25discerning. And I'm not saying I'm not going to vote for Trump. And I'm not saying I'm not going to
- 25:32vote period. So people would ask the next logical question. We're under two minutes already, JB.
- 25:37I got a comment on our podcast that we did last week on your show. And they said, well,
- 25:44are you not going to vote or are you going to vote independent? Now, you don't have to share what
- 25:48you're going to do. But these are the conclusions. People can only think, these are the possibilities.
- 25:53Go ahead and wrap us up here in the last minute and a half. Just briefly, I would say that's
- 25:57exactly what they want us to think is we only have one or one of two choices. As long as we choose
- 26:02that, they're happy. But that's not the case. Many states there are multiple candidates on the
- 26:07ballot. Now, people will look at it from a human standpoint. So, well, if you vote for a third party
- 26:11candidate, you're throwing your vote away. Well, then basically what you're saying is God can only
- 26:15work within the artificially created two party system. Well, that's not my God. My God's bigger
- 26:20than that. So you can also write candidates in. I do believe voting is a personal private matter.
- 26:25I think people know my view on the rigged system. I've talked about it for years, written about it
- 26:29in some books. But, you know, I don't think it's it's appropriate to ask someone who they're
- 26:34going to vote for. But I would just encourage believers to pray about it, follow the leading
- 26:38Holy Spirit and then respect others who may may disagree. I would just say to everybody watching
- 26:45listening, don't lose heart. God is sovereign. And your choice should never be not voting
- 26:53as a US citizen and having any responsibility to let your voice be heard and protect and love
- 26:58your neighbor. If you don't vote, that's not helping at all. So JB, this is a good conversations.
- 27:04You know, as you said before we got on, you know, we are talking about this. Some people don't
- 27:08like it. But we've got to talk about all these details from a biblical perspective because
- 27:12worldview does matter. Not by works.org. Make sure to guys check the third edition of getting the
- 27:18gospel wrong. Thank you for your time, JB. Love you, man. You bet. Love you, brother. God bless.
- 27:23Thank you. Good conversation, guys. We've got to be thinkers. We've got to be working through
- 27:29these things and encourage people to keep fighting, keep believing, keep praying. And yes, keep voting.
- 27:34But anyway, we've got to move on. We'll see you tomorrow. God bless you. And as always,
- 27:38keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
