- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:07Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:11Speaker 1: Sophie Torber and coming up on today's show. Perth TikToker
- 0:15Speaker 1: Jackie Alexander opens up about her terrifying experience at a
- 0:19Speaker 1: French nightclub. Molly May breaks her silence following her shock
- 0:23Speaker 1: split and our highs and lows of the week. But first,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Indie Clinton has hit back at her followers who questioned
- 0:30Speaker 1: her decision to buy her young daughter's expensive jewelry. Yeah,
- 0:34Speaker 1: so in one of her regular daily TikTok vlogs, in passing,
- 0:38Speaker 1: the mummy blogger showed her followers that she had purchased
- 0:41Speaker 1: her eight-month-old daughter's soul and almost two-year-old daughter Bambi a
- 0:45Speaker 1: gold bracelet each. Instantly, she was inundated with mums saying,
- 0:50Speaker 1: They loved the bracelets and wanted to know where they
- 0:53Speaker 1: were from. She also received some criticism. So one follower wrote,
- 0:56Speaker 1: aren't you worried the bracelets will get caught on something
- 0:59Speaker 1: or just bother them? As someone with sensory issues, jewelry
- 1:03Speaker 1: on my hands drives me crazy. I don't know. It
- 1:05Speaker 1: feels weird too with little kids. Indie responded on her
- 1:08Speaker 1: Instagram stories, sharing a close-up of the bangle on Bambi's
- 1:12Speaker 1: wrist and wrote, so many questions about the little bracelets
- 1:15Speaker 1: I bought the kids. I've linked where I bought them. Yes,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I know they're not cheap, but there's something I want
- 1:21Speaker 1: my girls to grow up with. We will add links
- 1:23Speaker 1: to them and expand while they grow. Laugh out loud
- 1:26Speaker 1: that I even have to explain this, but this is
- 1:28Speaker 1: the world we live in today. They're also nine carat gold, homemade,
- 1:32Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. She finished by saying, don't get
- 1:35Speaker 1: offended on what I spend my money on. I of
- 1:38Speaker 1: course had to follow the link to have a cheeky
- 1:40Speaker 1: look at these bracelets and discovered that they're from a
- 1:43Speaker 1: jeweler called Natalie Marie and they retail for $ 2, 300 each. Now,
- 1:50Speaker 1: they're available in a range of different metals and sizes,
- 1:53Speaker 1: and you can also customize them by adding an engraving
- 1:56Speaker 1: or a birthstone. Now, on the website, it says that
- 1:59Speaker 1: the bangle is designed with the intention to grow with
- 2:02Speaker 1: your little one and that it's gifted in youth and
- 2:04Speaker 1: intended to be worn or treasured in age. It also
- 2:07Speaker 1: says that these bracelets are suitable to be worn by babies.
- 2:11Speaker 1: So what do you think? Is $ 2, 300 a ridiculous amount
- 2:14Speaker 1: of money to spend on a child's bracelet? I think
- 2:17Speaker 1: the reason why people are having such a visceral reaction
- 2:19Speaker 1: to these bracelets is because it is very little children
- 2:23Speaker 1: who are wearing them. So she lives in such a
- 2:26Speaker 1: chaotic household. The kids are always running around and breaking stuff.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I think that people are thinking, well, aren't they going
- 2:31Speaker 1: to lose the bracelets or scratch the bracelets and they're
- 2:35Speaker 1: worth so much money? Well, that would be my biggest fear.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But then again, my mum was cleaning out my old
- 2:41Speaker 1: bedroom this week and so I've been given a lot
- 2:43Speaker 1: of treasures and one of them was my old jewellery box.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And it contained all of these presents I had received
- 2:49Speaker 1: as a child. And one of them actually was a
- 2:50Speaker 1: gold ring and there were all these different badges and whatever.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And I have never, ever worn any of them because
- 2:57Speaker 1: I remember thinking that they were too special to wear
- 2:59Speaker 1: and worried about losing it. So I actually like this
- 3:02Speaker 1: concept that, yes, it is a lot of money, but
- 3:05Speaker 1: this is going to be a bracelet that those kids
- 3:07Speaker 1: are hopefully going to treasure throughout their life. And it's
- 3:09Speaker 1: good that it's actually getting some wear. Yeah, well, that's
- 3:11Speaker 1: the thing on her vlogs. The kids are wearing them
- 3:14Speaker 1: every day, which is really cute. And I tend to
- 3:16Speaker 1: agree with Indy that it's her money and she can
- 3:18Speaker 1: decide what she spends it on. Also, in a lot
- 3:21Speaker 1: of cultures, parents do gift their children gold jewelry or
- 3:26Speaker 1: silver jewelry. And as you said, Amy, we had our
- 3:28Speaker 1: own little keepsake presents. I think it's a really nice idea,
- 3:31Speaker 1: but I can see why when people see the price tag,
- 3:35Speaker 1: they feel a certain way about it. I know a
- 3:37Speaker 1: lot of our listeners were saying that The bracelets are
- 3:40Speaker 1: so stunning and their mums themselves, they said they saw
- 3:43Speaker 1: it and thought, I wish I could buy my child
- 3:45Speaker 1: something like that, but I just can't afford it. Yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I mean, it's not something if I had a daughter
- 3:50Speaker 1: or a son that I would rush out and buy
- 3:52Speaker 1: them a $ 2, 000 bracelet. I think I'd have a lot
- 3:55Speaker 1: of other things I'd want to spend that money on.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Or need to spend that money on. Yeah, but I suppose...
- 4:00Speaker 1: This is Indy Clinton, somebody who probably receives around $ 7, 000
- 4:04Speaker 1: per Instagram post. So for her, it's not that much
- 4:07Speaker 1: to spend. That is a big call. I don't know
- 4:09Speaker 1: if it'd be $ 7, 000. It would be in the thousands.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I think also one big takeaway is that most of
- 4:14Speaker 1: the time, the products that we see influencers sharing. they're
- 4:18Speaker 1: either highly discounted by the brand or they've been gifted
- 4:22Speaker 1: in exchange for the post. It's not really clear in
- 4:24Speaker 1: this case. There's no partnership tools were used when she
- 4:26Speaker 1: shared about it, but she did put up a link
- 4:29Speaker 1: to the bracelet, which is usually a giveaway that there's
- 4:32Speaker 1: some sort of sponsorship agreement here.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I mean, I actually don't think it was a sponsored post.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But I think that people have reacted in such a
- 4:41Speaker 1: way because Indy doesn't really flash her cash that much.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I think this is the first time we've really seen
- 4:46Speaker 1: her spending. Well, her house does have a beach view.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But as you say, Amy, it's not like she's constantly
- 4:52Speaker 1: in designer gear. She's usually in a daggy tracksuit around
- 4:56Speaker 1: the house. It's chaotic. It's sort of like what we
- 4:59Speaker 1: were saying about Laura Byrne last week. Her brand is
- 5:01Speaker 1: being relatable.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And it's not that relatable to be having your kids
- 5:05Speaker 1: with two grand bracelets on.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I was extremely, extremely anxious. I do get hangovers, Gary,
- 5:11Speaker 2: but this was different. Look at my bank account this
- 5:13Speaker 2: day till heading into Paris that night for dinner. My
- 5:15Speaker 2: heart dropped.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Perth TikToker Jackie Alexander has opened up about her terrifying
- 5:22Speaker 1: experience in a French nightclub during the Olympic Games. The
- 5:26Speaker 1: influencer was in Paris supporting her fiancé who plays for
- 5:29Speaker 1: the Australian hockey team when she allegedly had $ 5, 000 stolen
- 5:32Speaker 1: from her credit card. Now, before we get into it, Soph,
- 5:37Speaker 1: can you bring us up to speed on who Jackie is?
- 5:39Speaker 1: I am such a big fan of her content. I
- 5:42Speaker 1: first came across her videos a few years ago when
- 5:45Speaker 1: she was posting in the lead up to her 30th birthday.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I wish I could find this video, but basically she
- 5:51Speaker 1: received some troll comments from Gen Zers saying that she's
- 5:54Speaker 1: too old to be on TikTok. which is just so
- 5:58Speaker 1: utterly ridiculous. And she basically told them to fuck off
- 6:01Speaker 1: and that 30 year olds are young and we should
- 6:03Speaker 1: be allowed to do anything we want to do. Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I remember seeing this video and I was like, what
- 6:08Speaker 1: a legend.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:08Speaker 1: She's just so cool. So she shares a lot about
- 6:11Speaker 1: fashion and about makeup and she has the most flawless
- 6:15Speaker 1: skin I have ever seen. That's just a side note.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And she also shares really entertaining storytime videos. Now, as
- 6:21Speaker 1: well as being a fashion influencer, she's also started her
- 6:24Speaker 1: own line called In My Moods, as well as a
- 6:27Speaker 1: reusable coffee cup brand called Daily Ice. She's killing it
- 6:30Speaker 1: at the moment. And she has spent the last couple
- 6:32Speaker 1: of weeks in Paris because her partner Nathan is an
- 6:35Speaker 1: Olympic hockey player and she posted some hilarious videos while
- 6:39Speaker 1: she was over there. One of them showed her getting
- 6:41Speaker 1: decked out in green and gold with the caption, when
- 6:44Speaker 1: you manifested becoming a wag and now you're watching your
- 6:46Speaker 1: boyfriend play in the Olympics. She also had a video
- 6:50Speaker 1: of herself outside the Olympic Village in an oversized Australian
- 6:54Speaker 1: uniform and wrote, when you hear about what goes on
- 6:56Speaker 1: in the Olympic Village, so you show up as a
- 6:59Speaker 1: fellow athlete. Now, this is, of course, in reference to
- 7:02Speaker 1: the amount of sex that the athletes were reportedly having
- 7:04Speaker 1: on their cardboard beds. Yeah. She, of course, had nothing
- 7:07Speaker 1: to worry about. And her partner actually ended up proposing
- 7:10Speaker 1: to her after the Games in Tuscany. So she has
- 7:13Speaker 1: a lot of wedding content coming as well. So definitely
- 7:16Speaker 1: recommend following her. Now, over the weekend, Jackie revealed on
- 7:20Speaker 1: TikTok that she had been left traumatized by an experience
- 7:23Speaker 1: she had at a Paris nightclub whilst there for the Games.
- 7:27Speaker 1: So she captioned the video, please don't be like me
- 7:30Speaker 1: when traveling. Now in the four minute sit down video,
- 7:33Speaker 1: she explained that she and a group of friends went
- 7:35Speaker 1: for drinks at a rooftop bar. They were sitting right
- 7:38Speaker 1: up at the bar and befriended the bartenders who introduced
- 7:42Speaker 1: them to another man there who happened to own a nightclub.
- 7:45Speaker 1: They all got chatting and the bartender suggested that Jackie
- 7:48Speaker 1: and her friends go to the nightclub. Now the nightclub
- 7:51Speaker 1: owner gave them his number and said that he'd sort
- 7:53Speaker 1: them out if they decided to come by. So an
- 7:56Speaker 1: hour or so later, they headed to the club where
- 7:59Speaker 1: they were met with a massive line outside. Now, the
- 8:02Speaker 1: nightclub owner came down and met with them and whisked
- 8:04Speaker 1: them inside and wavered the entry fee. Now, I'm guessing
- 8:07Speaker 1: that Jackie thought the nightclub owner was pulling out all
- 8:10Speaker 1: of the stops for them because of their connection to
- 8:12Speaker 1: Olympians and also the fact that she has a large following. Now,
- 8:16Speaker 1: Jackie said this is where things started to get weird
- 8:19Speaker 1: because once they entered the club, one of her friends
- 8:22Speaker 1: was wearing shorts and as part of the dress code,
- 8:24Speaker 1: that wasn't allowed. So the nightclub owner told her that
- 8:28Speaker 1: she needed to buy a pair of pants. Now, this
- 8:30Speaker 1: club must have been massive because inside there, conveniently, there
- 8:34Speaker 1: was a shop where she could purchase pants from. The
- 8:37Speaker 1: catch was, though, that all of the clothes were super expensive.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So the cheapest pair of pants was $ 400. Oh, my gosh.
- 8:45Speaker 1: This kind of reminds me of that Adelaide Oval when
- 8:48Speaker 1: people are trying to get into the members area of
- 8:50Speaker 1: the cricket because you're not allowed to wear like singlets
- 8:52Speaker 1: or anything. Or a t-shirt. Yeah, and conveniently they have
- 8:55Speaker 1: very expensive polo shirts that you can buy. Well, it's
- 8:58Speaker 1: good business. Now, Jackie said that the nightclub owner had
- 9:01Speaker 1: promised to sort them out with a table and free
- 9:03Speaker 1: drinks and that they wouldn't have to pay a cent
- 9:05Speaker 1: for anything else. So they thought, okay, let's just get
- 9:08Speaker 1: the pants. This is going to be a great night.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Let's throw to what Jackie said.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Because I am well aware that this is seriously stupid.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Like, you shouldn't trust anyone. We were drunk. We were stupid.
- 9:19Speaker 2: We weren't thinking. Don't need to tell me that I'm
- 9:20Speaker 2: dumb for trusting a stranger. I know. We go in
- 9:23Speaker 2: and then he sets us up with a table and
- 9:25Speaker 2: he's like, just get anything. It's all on me. Or
- 9:28Speaker 2: so we think.
- 9:28Speaker 1: We got a bottle of tequila.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I think it was a very expensive bottle of tequila.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And then from here till when I woke up the
- 9:33Speaker 2: next morning, I don't remember anything. I have no recollection
- 9:36Speaker 2: of anything. I am so lucky I was with a
- 9:39Speaker 2: really good group of friends. I was with people that
- 9:41Speaker 2: got me home safe.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Now, Jackie said she woke up feeling incredibly anxious and
- 9:47Speaker 1: checked her bank account to discover that $ 5, 000 had been
- 9:50Speaker 1: allegedly taken out by the club. She said she didn't
- 9:54Speaker 1: authorize the payment at all and had no recollection of it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Jackie and her friends then immediately checked on to read
- 10:00Speaker 1: reviews about the nightclub and discovered this.
- 10:05Speaker 2: We decided to look at reviews of this place because
- 10:08Speaker 2: we're like, what the hell has happened here? He was
- 10:09Speaker 2: saying that they'd been roofied there and they took money
- 10:12Speaker 2: off their card without their consent. They made them pay
- 10:14Speaker 2: for things they didn't use. They made them pay a
- 10:16Speaker 2: huge bill because they were like not with it. My
- 10:18Speaker 2: heart literally sank.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So Jackie also shared screenshots of a couple of the reviews.
- 10:25Speaker 1: One said, me and my girlfriend were drugged upon arrival
- 10:28Speaker 1: by the bartenders with our first drink, then made to
- 10:31Speaker 1: pay 4,500 pounds by the bouncers in the back of
- 10:35Speaker 1: the club using a dodgy card machine, and then had
- 10:38Speaker 1: our phone and handbag stolen from us. The bouncer also
- 10:42Speaker 1: assaulted my girlfriend outside of the club. It's a complete disgrace.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I messaged the owner of the club on WhatsApp and
- 10:48Speaker 1: he instantly blocked me. This nightclub is an organized crime ring. Please,
- 10:53Speaker 1: please be aware of entering this club. Now, another review said,
- 10:57Speaker 1: do not enter if you are not French. Avoid it
- 10:59Speaker 1: at all costs, as you will have seen a lot
- 11:02Speaker 1: of very negative posts from non-French people below. This club
- 11:05Speaker 1: is corrupted and all staff are in on it. We
- 11:08Speaker 1: were physically abused, lost an expensive handbag, an iPhone, and
- 11:12Speaker 1: were forced to pay for things we did not consume.
- 11:14Speaker 1: These are the worst reviews on a nightclub I think
- 11:17Speaker 1: I've ever seen. It's I'm laughing, but this is actually terrifying.
- 11:21Speaker 2: It is.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It's a wonder that this nightclub has not been shut
- 11:25Speaker 1: down considering there are some pretty big accusations being thrown
- 11:28Speaker 1: at them in their review section. Now, Jackie said that
- 11:30Speaker 1: it was so lucky that she'd only had money taken
- 11:33Speaker 1: because it could have been a lot worse. She currently
- 11:36Speaker 1: has lodged a claim with the bank to try and
- 11:38Speaker 1: get the money back. She also used the video to
- 11:41Speaker 1: urge her followers to be vigilant and keep your drinks
- 11:44Speaker 1: covered and make sure your friends know where you are
- 11:46Speaker 1: at all times. Jackie also revealed that Olympian Simone Biles
- 11:50Speaker 1: had also been targeted by this club.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'm really triggered right now even just making it, but
- 11:55Speaker 2: I saw Simone Biles make a video recently about the
- 11:58Speaker 2: same place. You can use context cues and figure out
- 12:01Speaker 2: what place it is.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I don't want to get a lawsuit.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I feel like this place is an organized crime room.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah. So Simone took to TikTok to share her negative
- 12:09Speaker 1: experience with the Paris nightclub. Now she has over 5.3
- 12:14Speaker 1: million followers on TikTok and she gained 3.2 of them
- 12:18Speaker 1: during the Paris games because She kept her followers updated
- 12:22Speaker 1: on her outfits, her snacking habits and her dance moves.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It might have also been as well because she has
- 12:28Speaker 1: had that Netflix series that's come out. I've seen it.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I really like her. Well, she is also one of
- 12:33Speaker 1: the most decorated gymnasts of all time. So she took
- 12:35Speaker 1: home three gold and one silver, which is just incredible. Now,
- 12:40Speaker 1: she posted a Get Ready With Me video this month
- 12:43Speaker 1: where she explained that after the closing ceremony, she went
- 12:46Speaker 1: to a Paris nightclub that tried to take advantage of her.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Here's what she said. You guys, this club tried to
- 12:55Speaker 1: charge me $ 26, 000 for a bottle of champagne. Like, are
- 13:03Speaker 1: you insane? Obviously, I didn't buy it. But why would
- 13:09Speaker 1: you even try to play me like that? Like, that's wild. $ 26, 000.
- 13:16Speaker 1: That is outrageous. I love that she had to point
- 13:19Speaker 1: out that she obviously didn't purchase it for $ 26, 000 because
- 13:23Speaker 1: if she hadn't, I'm sure there would have been so
- 13:25Speaker 1: many publications that would have run with the headline, Simone
- 13:28Speaker 1: Biles celebrates the Olympics with 26,000 bottle of champagne. It
- 13:32Speaker 1: is terrifying to think how many people have been ripped
- 13:36Speaker 1: off by this nightclub, particularly if they are targeting high
- 13:39Speaker 1: profile people like Simone Biles who have power. I mean,
- 13:42Speaker 1: it was lucky that she turned around and said no
- 13:44Speaker 1: and probably left the nightclub. What are you all doing?
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's been a minute since I've actually been on my
- 13:51Speaker 2: YouTube channel in general.
- 13:52Speaker 1: UK influencer Molly May Haig has broken her silence following
- 13:57Speaker 1: her shock split from fiancé Tommy Fury. Now, the internet
- 14:01Speaker 1: went into meltdown a fortnight ago when Molly announced the split,
- 14:05Speaker 1: with fans instantly jumping to conclusions that Tommy must have cheated.
- 14:10Speaker 1: And fans have been desperate to hear from Molly and
- 14:12Speaker 1: for her to shed some light on what's gone down.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I have been one of those people. I have been
- 14:17Speaker 1: desperately waiting for an update from Molly. Now, on Wednesday,
- 14:21Speaker 1: she returned to Instagram for the first time, sharing a
- 14:24Speaker 1: photo of herself dressed in a white matching set, looking
- 14:28Speaker 1: out onto a lake with the caption, thank you for
- 14:30Speaker 1: being the best online friends I could have ever wished for. Now,
- 14:34Speaker 1: a lot of people are reading into this photo because
- 14:37Speaker 1: it looks like Molly has taken time away from at
- 14:40Speaker 1: a beautiful lakeside cabin to get away from the scrutiny
- 14:43Speaker 1: and the noise and to make sense of what has
- 14:46Speaker 1: gone on. When I saw the photo, I just thought
- 14:48Speaker 1: that caption speaks volumes because so many people have been
- 14:52Speaker 1: supportive of Mollie. But a lot of them have also
- 14:55Speaker 1: been calling out Tommy. So it's almost sort of fanning
- 14:58Speaker 1: these rumors around the cheating. I think there is just
- 15:01Speaker 1: so much to be read into the caption and also
- 15:03Speaker 1: the photo because it's like she's ominously looking into the distance.
- 15:07Speaker 1: She's pondering what has gone on. Who do you think
- 15:10Speaker 1: took the photo? I think her manager Fran took it
- 15:13Speaker 1: or maybe her sister Zoe because her sister has returned
- 15:16Speaker 1: from her honeymoon. I think that she's also put out
- 15:19Speaker 1: this announcement while she has her friends and family around her.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Now at the time of recording, this post has 1.5
- 15:26Speaker 1: million likes and a lot of her high profile friends
- 15:28Speaker 1: have shown their support in the comment section. So Maura
- 15:32Speaker 1: Higgins who appeared on her series of Love Island wrote,
- 15:35Speaker 1: love and adore you. Now what's interesting about Maura commenting
- 15:39Speaker 1: is that ever since this split happened, I keep seeing
- 15:42Speaker 1: all of these TikToks. of Maura and Molly in the
- 15:45Speaker 1: villa together. And it's quite funny because when Maura first
- 15:48Speaker 1: came in, she was interested in Tommy and made a
- 15:51Speaker 1: beeline for him. And Molly and Maura actually had an
- 15:54Speaker 1: altercation over Tommy. So I keep seeing these clips replaying
- 15:57Speaker 1: on TikTok. Yeah, but they quickly became friends in the villa. Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And they're best friends now. They've been holidaying with Tommy
- 16:03Speaker 1: as well. Exactly. A lot of people were just saying,
- 16:05Speaker 1: I can't believe that they're actually great friends now after
- 16:08Speaker 1: their friendship started out in that way. Well, Saffron Barker,
- 16:11Speaker 1: she wrote, gorgeous girl, while her sister Zoe wrote, love
- 16:14Speaker 1: you millions, my girl. One fan wrote, there she is,
- 16:18Speaker 1: we missed you. And that comment was liked by over
- 16:21Speaker 1: 4,000 people. I also saw this TikTok pop up and
- 16:24Speaker 1: this girl was saying the photo just made her look
- 16:27Speaker 1: even more like the people's princess. Like there's been this
- 16:30Speaker 1: joke going around that Molly Mae is the true people's
- 16:32Speaker 1: princess since Princess Diana. And she was like, this girl
- 16:36Speaker 1: can do no wrong. I think also because the photo
- 16:39Speaker 1: looked so wholesome and she just looked above all of
- 16:42Speaker 1: the drama and the chaos surrounding it. It was wholesome,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but she also looked really attractive. Yeah. So it was
- 16:49Speaker 1: kind of like, it's like, here's what you've given up, Tommy,
- 16:52Speaker 1: you dickhead. Now, before she shared this photo to Instagram,
- 16:55Speaker 1: Molly was posting comments underneath her sister Zoe Haig's honeymoon photos.
- 17:01Speaker 1: So she wrote underneath them stunning photos and also beautiful,
- 17:05Speaker 1: which how big of her because is this not the
- 17:08Speaker 1: most crushing time for your relationship to end, particularly if
- 17:12Speaker 1: you're engaged? Your sister is on this stunning honeymoon.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I know.
- 17:16Speaker 1: It's very big of her. I love that you said.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Zoe Haig, because she's actually changed her last name to
- 17:21Speaker 1: her husband's, which is Ray. Which we laugh so much about. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: so it's Zoe Ray and Molly May. I love it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Because I was half thinking, oh, far out. She shouldn't
- 17:30Speaker 1: have changed her last name because people won't be able
- 17:32Speaker 1: to find her. But it just rolls off the tongue,
- 17:35Speaker 1: doesn't it? Yeah, it really does. Now, last week, we
- 17:37Speaker 1: discussed rumors that Tommy cheated on Molly during a lad's
- 17:40Speaker 1: trip to North Macedonia with a Danish girl. And according
- 17:43Speaker 1: to The Sun, Tommy was seen kissing the blonde woman
- 17:46Speaker 1: in front of hundreds of people at the nightclub just
- 17:49Speaker 1: days before their split was announced on Instagram. Since then,
- 17:53Speaker 1: some new details of this night have emerged. So The
- 17:55Speaker 1: Sun is reporting that Tommy was partying at a nightclub
- 17:58Speaker 1: called Amina in the VISP section with the Danish woman. Now,
- 18:03Speaker 1: this VIP section is on a separate level to the
- 18:06Speaker 1: rest of the venue, but it is still visible to partygoers.
- 18:10Speaker 1: So the club's owner was happy to be quoted and
- 18:12Speaker 1: named in the article and said, Tommy's group of British
- 18:16Speaker 1: lads arrived at around 1am. His security blocked the view
- 18:19Speaker 1: of his table by standing in front of it so
- 18:22Speaker 1: no one could go up and speak to them or
- 18:24Speaker 1: see them. He went on to say that a fan
- 18:26Speaker 1: started filming Tommy and his security went mad. and grabbed
- 18:30Speaker 1: the person's phone and deleted all of the pictures and
- 18:33Speaker 1: videos he had taken. The owner said they didn't want
- 18:36Speaker 1: anyone to see what he was up to. What I
- 18:40Speaker 1: don't like about this is it's evident that there have
- 18:42Speaker 1: been a lot of people in Tommy's friendship group who've
- 18:44Speaker 1: been covering for his behavior and they haven't been reporting
- 18:47Speaker 1: back to Molly Mae some of the things he's been doing.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Particularly when this man is engaged and has a child
- 18:53Speaker 1: with this woman, why do none of the friends have
- 18:55Speaker 1: her back? Now, Tommy was also allegedly seen chatting to
- 18:59Speaker 1: the same girl at a beach club the next day.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So staff at the beach club told The Sun, Tommy
- 19:05Speaker 1: and his friends reserved the table closest to the Latino
- 19:08Speaker 1: dancers who are part of the nightly entertainment there. They
- 19:11Speaker 1: said Tommy was there with friends and they were having
- 19:13Speaker 1: a great time enjoying the performance and the women dancing.
- 19:17Speaker 1: There was a blonde girl at the club on the
- 19:19Speaker 1: same night and she was talking to him. He was
- 19:22Speaker 1: also spotted talking to a blonde woman by the pool
- 19:25Speaker 1: at a nearby resort. It's not clear if it was
- 19:27Speaker 1: the same Danish woman and the resort staff told the
- 19:30Speaker 1: press the whole town has been talking about the news
- 19:33Speaker 1: he kissed a woman in the nightclub. A group of
- 19:36Speaker 1: barmen also said everyone is talking about it. She is
- 19:39Speaker 1: a young blonde girl from Macedonia. We don't know anything
- 19:42Speaker 1: about her being Danish but I wouldn't be surprised if
- 19:44Speaker 1: he kissed multiple women. Now news definitely travels fast because
- 19:49Speaker 1: a source told told The Sun that Molly was sent
- 19:51Speaker 1: an upsetting video of Tommy on the trip, which led
- 19:54Speaker 1: her to break up with him an hour after he
- 19:57Speaker 1: landed in the UK. So Tommy arrived back in Manchester
- 20:00Speaker 1: at 2.45 p.m., And by 3.52 p.m., that's when Molly
- 20:05Speaker 1: announced her breakup to her followers. Well, just thinking back
- 20:08Speaker 1: to Molly May's caption on Instagram, she said, thanks for
- 20:11Speaker 1: being the best internet friends. I wonder if it was
- 20:13Speaker 1: a follower that sent through this video. That is a
- 20:16Speaker 1: really good point, Amy. I love that theory. Now, the
- 20:19Speaker 1: media have tracked down the Danish girl in question who
- 20:21Speaker 1: is called Mila Corfexen. And they touted her as being
- 20:25Speaker 1: a Molly Mae lookalike. That's what they've been doing the
- 20:28Speaker 1: whole time. Every woman that's somehow attached to this is
- 20:31Speaker 1: a Molly Mae lookalike. This woman looks nothing like Molly Mae.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It's just ridiculous. Now, Mila gave an interview to The
- 20:38Speaker 1: Sun and said, I am the girl, but nothing happened.
- 20:41Speaker 1: We had fun. I'm Danish, but I'm also from here.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I don't know what he's been doing, but someone else
- 20:46Speaker 1: must have kissed him. I have a boyfriend back home. Well,
- 20:50Speaker 1: since then, Mila has changed her story and she confirmed
- 20:53Speaker 1: that that the kiss did take place. I wonder if
- 20:55Speaker 1: this is because the boyfriend has ended things and she's gone, well,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I've got nothing to hide now. Yeah, well, so over
- 21:01Speaker 1: the weekend, she wrote on her Instagram, I had to
- 21:04Speaker 1: delete all my posts due to the hate and nasty comments.
- 21:07Speaker 1: As stated in the news story I gave, I didn't
- 21:10Speaker 1: do anything with Tommy Fury. I didn't even know who
- 21:12Speaker 1: he was. We only shared a kiss. Nothing else happened. Well,
- 21:15Speaker 1: that's what a lot of the speculation has been about,
- 21:17Speaker 1: that Tommy would target women who didn't know who he
- 21:20Speaker 1: actually was. But I find it so interesting because she says,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I didn't do anything with Tommy, but I did kiss him.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I mean, maybe she's saying I didn't have sex with him. Yes,
- 21:26Speaker 1: that's what she's saying. Well, she also said that if
- 21:29Speaker 1: she'd known that Tommy had a fiancé, she would have
- 21:31Speaker 1: never kissed him back, which is also interesting because she's
- 21:33Speaker 1: saying that he initiated the kiss and I feel a
- 21:36Speaker 1: bit sorry for her because she may have actually been
- 21:39Speaker 1: unaware who he is and now she's absolutely going to
- 21:42Speaker 1: cop it. At the end of the day, Tommy is
- 21:44Speaker 1: the one who had the partner. Oh, definitely. He is
- 21:46Speaker 1: the one that is responsible. Oh, I 100% agree. What
- 21:50Speaker 1: I didn't like though is that she said that she
- 21:52Speaker 1: will try and talk to Molly about it. And I
- 21:54Speaker 1: feel like saying, please don't. No one wants to be
- 21:57Speaker 1: contacted by the rando that's kissed their fiance. Well, especially
- 22:01Speaker 1: if she's only contacting Molly to be like, oh, it
- 22:03Speaker 1: was just a kiss that was nothing. Now, I do
- 22:05Speaker 1: have to point out that in response to these cheating rumors,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and there have been many of them, Tommy's team released
- 22:11Speaker 1: a statement saying Tommy is horrified by the false allegations
- 22:14Speaker 1: of cheating being circulated by the media and he's consulting
- 22:17Speaker 1: his lawyers. I also want to point out that Tommy
- 22:20Speaker 1: and Molly are both still following each other, which makes
- 22:23Speaker 1: me think even more that Molly is such a class
- 22:25Speaker 1: act because you don't really want to unfollow your baby daddy.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Like he is going to be in her life forever.
- 22:31Speaker 1: And that is also why I don't think that we're
- 22:34Speaker 1: going to get a tell all of what's happened. It
- 22:36Speaker 1: looks like they're both been quite mature about it for
- 22:39Speaker 1: the sake of their daughter, because we've seen lots of
- 22:41Speaker 1: paparazzi shots of Tommy picking up Bambi and taking her
- 22:45Speaker 1: out to a park. So it is good that they
- 22:47Speaker 1: are being amicable. Let's get into our highs and lows
- 22:51Speaker 1: of the week. Now, Sophie, I'm bringing you two highs
- 22:54Speaker 1: this week. I think that is not part of the rules,
- 22:56Speaker 1: but you're being very optimistic, but that's all right. Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 1: that's right. So my first high is recently Soph, Kate,
- 23:04Speaker 1: Mum and baby Jack and I were at a shopping
- 23:07Speaker 1: centre and it was hilarious because we were sitting at
- 23:09Speaker 1: this cafe and I kept seeing these older ladies looking
- 23:12Speaker 1: over at Jack and I could just tell they wanted
- 23:14Speaker 1: to come over and speak to us. So you and
- 23:17Speaker 1: I had gone to the toilet and when we came back,
- 23:19Speaker 1: we saw these ladies chatting to mum and Kate. Anyway,
- 23:22Speaker 1: it turns out that they had asked our mum if
- 23:25Speaker 1: she was Jack's mother. And just to put things into perspective,
- 23:28Speaker 1: our mum is 64. I think that's definitely her high
- 23:31Speaker 1: of the week as well. Well, it was hilarious. I
- 23:34Speaker 1: loved mum's face. She was just like, yep, I'm his mother.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I was thinking, how old do they think Kate is? Like,
- 23:40Speaker 1: is she meant to be the teenage sister? Yeah, well,
- 23:43Speaker 1: she was dressed in activewear. I think that when you're
- 23:45Speaker 1: in your 20s to 30s and you're dressed in activewear,
- 23:47Speaker 1: everyone assumes that you're younger for some reason. Well, it
- 23:50Speaker 1: was the first time we'd really been out with Jack
- 23:52Speaker 1: and the number of people that would come up and
- 23:54Speaker 1: speak to you, because people always say when you bring
- 23:56Speaker 1: a cute puppy down to the beach, lots of people
- 23:58Speaker 1: come over and chat. But I've realized that a baby,
- 24:02Speaker 1: it's kind of like a middle-aged woman magnet. Like everyone
- 24:05Speaker 1: comes over and speaks to you. Yeah. It was lovely. Now,
- 24:08Speaker 1: my second high is that I'm traveling to Melbourne this weekend.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I've got a wedding on. I'm very excited. I haven't
- 24:14Speaker 1: been to Melbourne for ages. So if anyone has some recommendations...
- 24:18Speaker 1: for restaurants or things to do over there, let me know. Well,
- 24:23Speaker 1: the last time we went actually was at the start
- 24:25Speaker 1: of the year for Taylor Swift and we drove over.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So I'm very excited to be flying. Yeah. There's so
- 24:30Speaker 1: many fantastic places to eat there. Now I'm going to
- 24:33Speaker 1: kick things off with my low of the week so
- 24:35Speaker 1: that we can finish on a high. Now my partner
- 24:38Speaker 1: and I had a really tough week because we were
- 24:40Speaker 1: waiting on some test results for our dog Archie. He
- 24:43Speaker 1: had a lump on his ear And we had to
- 24:45Speaker 1: wait a week until they could have a look at it. Look,
- 24:47Speaker 1: it was a pretty horrendous week for the rest of
- 24:49Speaker 1: us as well, because you were very, very stressed out
- 24:52Speaker 1: understandably about this. I'm just so doom and gloom. I
- 24:55Speaker 1: just did so much Googling. I convinced myself that it
- 24:58Speaker 1: was a cancerous lump. Now, thank God it turned out
- 25:01Speaker 1: to be a fungal infection on his ear. And The
- 25:05Speaker 1: vet rang up and, oh, my God, I made Brandon
- 25:07Speaker 1: deal with the vet because I just don't take any
- 25:09Speaker 1: information in. I black out anyway. We were celebrating about
- 25:12Speaker 1: this fungal infection. And he said, now, the vet has
- 25:15Speaker 1: recommended that we go to a chemist and we get
- 25:18Speaker 1: some canistin. Now, I, being a fucking idiot, didn't click
- 25:22Speaker 1: that canistin is thrush cream. I said that too because
- 25:25Speaker 1: we're at the shops and you're like, I've just got
- 25:26Speaker 1: to go and get this canistin. And I'm like, you'll
- 25:28Speaker 1: have to go and actually ask a chemist to get
- 25:30Speaker 1: it because it's behind the counter. And you're like, no,
- 25:33Speaker 1: I won't. Yeah, anyway, so I go up to this
- 25:35Speaker 1: guy and I'm like, oh, can I please have some
- 25:36Speaker 1: canistin cream? Can I have this particular brand that's been
- 25:38Speaker 1: recommended to me? And he looked really embarrassed because I
- 25:41Speaker 1: think I was like, you know, some people might be
- 25:43Speaker 1: embarrassed about it. Anyway, and then I said to him, oh,
- 25:46Speaker 1: by the way, it's actually for my dog. The vet
- 25:48Speaker 1: recommended it because he has a sore ear. And the
- 25:50Speaker 1: guy looked at me like, yeah, I don't believe you
- 25:53Speaker 1: at all. And I said, oh, this seems like a
- 25:55Speaker 1: really elaborate lie. This guy probably thought I was the
- 25:58Speaker 1: biggest idiot. Or side note, great excuse for anyone that's
- 26:02Speaker 1: wanting to go in and get thrush cream and not
- 26:04Speaker 1: actually admit it's for them. Just say your dog has
- 26:06Speaker 1: a fungal infection. Not that there's an issue. No, for
- 26:09Speaker 1: anyone who is embarrassed. Now, my high of the week
- 26:12Speaker 1: is that I have finally... booked my honeymoon. Now I've
- 26:16Speaker 1: been rattling on for weeks now on this podcast. Well,
- 26:18Speaker 1: it was Fiji, it was going to be Bali. Where
- 26:21Speaker 1: did you decide? Now we've decided on Port Douglas. So
- 26:24Speaker 1: we are going in November. I love that because I
- 26:27Speaker 1: knew like Port Douglas is the perfect spot for you
- 26:30Speaker 1: guys because I feel like, I don't know, you guys
- 26:32Speaker 1: get funny about going overseas. I don't think I necessarily
- 26:36Speaker 1: get funny, but I just really wanted to go somewhere
- 26:38Speaker 1: that was relaxing. We didn't have to catch a too
- 26:41Speaker 1: long of a flight. It was just very chilled. We
- 26:43Speaker 1: only wanted to go away for a week. Close, somewhere
- 26:45Speaker 1: close to Archie. Exactly. I really want to know for
- 26:48Speaker 1: anyone who has spent their honeymoon in Port Douglas, what
- 26:51Speaker 1: should we do whilst we're there? Are there any good
- 26:53Speaker 1: places to eat? I'm part of these. Sure there are.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm sure there are, but what are your favorite places
- 26:58Speaker 1: to eat? I should say. I'm part of these Port
- 27:00Speaker 1: Douglas groups. So people put in their recommendations there, but
- 27:04Speaker 1: I would love to actually know where listeners have been
- 27:06Speaker 1: eating there. Well, think that's all we've got time for today.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to another episode of Outspoken.
- 27:13Speaker 1: If you have enjoyed it and you haven't already left
- 27:15Speaker 1: a review, it is so helpful to us if you
- 27:18Speaker 1: could go and do that. Now, this episode was recorded
- 27:21Speaker 1: on the traditional land of the Kaurna people of the
- 27:23Speaker 1: Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to elders past and present.
