- 0:00Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, last break of the day on
- 0:02Speaker 1: this Friday. Yes, finally it's here. We love our Fridays
- 0:09Speaker 1: and we love our audience, and we thank you for listening.
- 0:12Speaker 1: We appreciate you. And you have a question for Stave
- 0:14Speaker 1: before we get out.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Well, yeah, unc man, I want to talk to you
- 0:18Speaker 2: about this. Uncle. You know, you've been through pretty much
- 0:21Speaker 2: everything I asked you, That's why you have so much
- 0:23Speaker 2: depth about it. But what about how you feel about
- 0:26Speaker 2: disobedience to God? I've never heard you speak about that,
- 0:31Speaker 2: about how the consequences are when we disobey, first of
- 0:35Speaker 2: when we.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Justuse I've been disobedient.
- 0:39Speaker 2: That's why I want you to talk about it.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Ain't my favorite subject, which has gotten me in the
- 0:46Speaker 3: most trouble I've ever been. I don't think about disobedience
- 0:53Speaker 3: to God. I think about I guess I've never used
- 0:58Speaker 3: word disobedient. I just haven't always followed the letter of
- 1:03Speaker 3: the law to the t. But then you know what, Junir,
- 1:06Speaker 3: nobody has. I'll tell you what I have learned about.
- 1:11Speaker 3: What are you what you're calling disobedience to God, which
- 1:14Speaker 3: I'm calling falling short, what I'm calling getting it wrong,
- 1:21Speaker 3: not being it, not staying on the white line. Nobody has.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I'll tell you one thing, man, what people do. Sometimes
- 1:29Speaker 3: you beat yourself up a bit too much about not
- 1:33Speaker 3: getting it right. When I have to share this news
- 1:36Speaker 3: with you. No one. No one gets it right all
- 1:41Speaker 3: the time, nobody. I don't know any sin free people,
- 1:47Speaker 3: never met one. I thought my mother was I prompt
- 1:51Speaker 3: I swear I did. But as I kept getting old
- 1:55Speaker 3: and old and older, I realized my mama was a
- 1:57Speaker 3: human being too. She had many flaws. I wasn't exposed
- 2:04Speaker 3: to her, but she had a mini Nobody gets through
- 2:08Speaker 3: this life freely. I hear preachers on it. I mean,
- 2:13Speaker 3: I thank God for faith and religion, I really do.
- 2:17Speaker 3: But all these different sects of religion. You know, whether
- 2:22Speaker 3: it's Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Jewish, Islam, everybody claims
- 2:32Speaker 3: that their way is the right way, when in essence,
- 2:37Speaker 3: you don't know how God gonna call this thing. I
- 2:39Speaker 3: don't care what interpretation of the Bible you make. You know,
- 2:43Speaker 3: somebody could come up with a different interpretation of it.
- 2:46Speaker 3: But I do know this, at the end of this
- 2:48Speaker 3: whole life, whoever you are, God will be the final
- 2:52Speaker 3: judge of the matter. It is not my job to
- 2:57Speaker 3: desecrate or degrade or talk about any other faith that's
- 3:01Speaker 3: not similar to mine. It's not my job to say
- 3:06Speaker 3: it's my way or the highway. That's just not my job.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I think there's something in the Bible that says that
- 3:14Speaker 3: you shouldn't judge. I'm sure there's something in there that
- 3:19Speaker 3: says that. So I tried my best to stay out
- 3:22Speaker 3: of the judging business, especially when it comes to a
- 3:25Speaker 3: person's faith. I know what the Bible says. I know,
- 3:30Speaker 3: I've read some things about you know what's expected of us,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and that's the faith I have, and that's the one
- 3:38Speaker 3: I live by. But guess what, I come shorter that
- 3:41Speaker 3: a lot, a lot. I come shorter that often. And
- 3:47Speaker 3: I got news for you, So do you. I don't
- 3:51Speaker 3: care who you are. You could put PhD behind your name.
- 3:55Speaker 3: You can come out there in the road with the
- 3:57Speaker 3: three bars on the sleeves. You can come out that
- 4:00Speaker 3: with a hat on, with a tassel going to one side.
- 4:03Speaker 3: You can get a bunch of initials after your name, MD, PhD,
- 4:08Speaker 3: as K, You can get whatever you want. You gonna
- 4:11Speaker 3: come up short, You gonna come up short. You, sir
- 4:16Speaker 3: and you madam, are a human being. I don't care
- 4:21Speaker 3: what education level you then reached. You gonna come up short.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I know you're gonna come up short. And this ain't
- 4:28Speaker 3: a knock on education. But you ever seen a person
- 4:31Speaker 3: go get a degree and they started working, They found
- 4:34Speaker 3: out that degree didn't get them where they wanted them
- 4:36Speaker 3: to go, and they go back to school and get
- 4:37Speaker 3: another degree and another one. I know some people, man
- 4:42Speaker 3: that went back to school four times, got the highest
- 4:46Speaker 3: level of PhDs that you can get, thinking it was
- 4:50Speaker 3: going to better their life, and it didn't. It didn't.
- 4:53Speaker 3: You just paid some more money with school four more
- 4:56Speaker 3: years and it didn't make your life better. Which leads
- 5:00Speaker 3: me to what I always thought of. You got a
- 5:02Speaker 3: degree and it ain't working for you, why would you
- 5:04Speaker 3: go get another one of them? Now, I'm not knocking education,
- 5:07Speaker 3: cause it's necessary. And like you got to go to
- 5:10Speaker 3: school eight years, you gonna be a lawyer or a doctor.
- 5:14Speaker 3: You in helping people busin, you gotta know what you're doing.
- 5:18Speaker 3: It's critical that you get this education. It's even more critical, man,
- 5:23Speaker 3: critical man, that you keep up with the new things
- 5:25Speaker 3: that's coming out in your field. And I'm taking a
- 5:28Speaker 3: turn in this conversation, but it's leading me now to
- 5:30Speaker 3: this little health thing I wanna talk y'all about. Just
- 5:33Speaker 3: for real quick. If you are dealing with a doctor
- 5:36Speaker 3: out there, and I'm just gonna say this because I've
- 5:38Speaker 3: had to do this, go get yourself a second and
- 5:41Speaker 3: a third opinion. Don't take the opinion of one doctor.
- 5:45Speaker 3: That doctor may have been a doctor for thirty years,
- 5:49Speaker 3: but do you know what has happened since he received
- 5:52Speaker 3: his degree in medicine. And if he don't stay current
- 5:56Speaker 3: and go back to training on different things, some of
- 5:59Speaker 3: his information can be outdated. Get yourself a second and
- 6:04Speaker 3: third opinion, because medical advances change all the time, and
- 6:10Speaker 3: if your doctor ain't keeping up with the changes, he
- 6:13Speaker 3: can't advise you. Now he's only advising you about what
- 6:16Speaker 3: he knows, but he might not know enough. I was
- 6:19Speaker 3: all over the place with disclosing remarks, but that's what
- 6:23Speaker 3: I wanted to say, you know why, because I ain't perfect.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Have a great day, y'all talk to God today. He'd
- 6:29Speaker 3: absolutely loved to hear from you. And that was a
- 6:33Speaker 3: closing remark that was done in complete imperfection. And I
- 6:37Speaker 3: still like him.
