- 0:10Speaker 2: The Worlds of Vigeon podcast.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. Oh excuse me, I was just
- 0:22Speaker 1: reading my Our Lads draft guide.
- 0:24Speaker 3: So you know, one of these guys like Owl or
- 0:26Speaker 3: Messador or ar Mason Thomas.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Mason Thomas thing is gonna drive me crazy, as.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Are you know, are armies our lads. I don't like
- 0:36Speaker 1: how they treat part It's more distinct. I don't like
- 0:38Speaker 1: how they know I really don't stand up for yourself.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Don't don't talk to you like that. My friend, Paul,
- 0:49Speaker 1: you have one of those recliners where you press the
- 0:51Speaker 1: button and it lifts you off the seat.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I do not.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You don't just help getting you out of the chair
- 0:55Speaker 1: that it lifts you right out so you're almost at
- 0:58Speaker 1: a standing position, and you just walk away.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I handed my money, He takes my money, says it's finished,
- 1:04Speaker 3: then tells.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Me that it failed.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And then the other thing that he said to me,
- 1:07Speaker 3: which really was the kicker, which really put me over
- 1:10Speaker 3: the edge, it was that I needed.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Windshield wiper fluid.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Oh forgot so he failed me on the wipers too,
- 1:16Speaker 3: No way, yes.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Oh come on, And this is this guy doesn't like
- 1:21Speaker 1: Catch twenty two. This is Patriots Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's
- 1:26Speaker 1: official website.
- 1:26Speaker 5: For deals, buy a Toyota dot com.
- 1:30Speaker 1: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:35Speaker 1: at Chills Stadium and Deuces on vacation. What's the up to?
- 1:41Speaker 3: I don't know, but he said that he he gets antsy,
- 1:45Speaker 3: you know, a week before the draft, so he just
- 1:47Speaker 3: wanted to get out of here.
- 1:52Speaker 2: On a visit yesterday.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Today.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I think this weekend he's celebrating the Big five. Oh
- 1:57Speaker 2: with his lovely wife Lane. I think they're going to
- 1:59Speaker 2: Rhode Islands. Oh nice, wow, ikout.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Look, I knew about the U Mass thing, and I
- 2:06Speaker 4: knew he.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Was yesterday when he was at UMass because I've been
- 2:09Speaker 2: hyping up the dining hall food for like weeks to
- 2:13Speaker 2: him and he got to experience it for himself.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 3: He doesn't talk to me about personal things. He talks
- 2:18Speaker 3: to me just about like, what do you think about
- 2:20Speaker 3: this guy? You know, we don't we don't do.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Deuce isn't here, But Alex is, how you doing well?
- 2:27Speaker 2: How are you?
- 2:27Speaker 1: You have a good week so far?
- 2:29Speaker 2: I did not as good as you with that Tan.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I can see you on Tuesday.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So the sun it's been nice here, right, it has
- 2:38Speaker 1: beautiful up until now. And Paul's here, and Evan's here,
- 2:43Speaker 1: Matt's in the booth getting ready for the draft. You
- 2:46Speaker 1: can see I've got all my beasts printed out neatly
- 2:51Speaker 1: sorted with bulldog clips by position? And then what do
- 2:55Speaker 1: you call those bulldog clips? That's what they're called? Right?
- 2:58Speaker 2: This is nice paper? Did you print this out yourself?
- 3:00Speaker 4: To print it out on car?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Printed it out myself on the machine upstairs.
- 3:04Speaker 2: It's like nice, glossy.
- 3:06Speaker 1: What's the w B Mason? Yeah, bright white, there we go,
- 3:11Speaker 1: half by eleven.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Can't put that on normal computer people?
- 3:15Speaker 1: How would you feel if if you had like?
- 3:17Speaker 3: Because they do have hard copies of the beast, but
- 3:20Speaker 3: he only sends them to select people.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, select. How do I get on that?
- 3:24Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm not a toucher. Has one because
- 3:26Speaker 4: he's very upset that feligrimas have been throwing Marcus.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Well I I Barth texted me a picture of Fred's copy.
- 3:34Speaker 3: I thought Dame sent one to Alex, which would make
- 3:37Speaker 3: sense because you know draft guy, right, But he sent
- 3:40Speaker 3: it to Fred and I was like, actually.
- 3:45Speaker 1: If you really want to send it to someone who's
- 3:47Speaker 1: going to actually use it the way you intended it
- 3:51Speaker 1: to be used and who will promote it, send it
- 3:54Speaker 1: to me. You're at one Patriot Place in fox Borth.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I thought I was going to say, send it to Evan.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Lazar actually doesn't.
- 4:02Speaker 1: He does scouting directly. He doesn't need the go but.
- 4:07Speaker 4: He has his little notes on his I appreciate that.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's in my spreadsheet and your spreadsheets on your phone.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Well yeah, how do you see a spreadsheet on the phone.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Well, I can access it on my phone, I know,
- 4:20Speaker 3: but the screen's too small. I don't know.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Just scroll around, I know, but you lose track of
- 4:25Speaker 1: where you were. And that's big for a spreadsheet.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Well, I mean normally I'm working on my computer, so
- 4:32Speaker 3: I do have a big screen. But when we're on
- 4:34Speaker 3: the show, if I have to quickly jog the memory
- 4:36Speaker 3: of something specific, then you go to the.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And this is a spreadsheet that you created.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, we're gonna post it probably, I'm hoping Monday.
- 4:47Speaker 3: But it's just it's very informal. It's just little notes
- 4:51Speaker 3: that I jot down while I'm watching guys and researching
- 4:54Speaker 3: and stuff, you know what. I So, somebody actually approached me,
- 4:59Speaker 3: uh other day and said, have you ever thought about
- 5:02Speaker 3: doing a Patriots specific draft guide? Not a guide like
- 5:07Speaker 3: the Beast that's you know, the whole league, but just
- 5:11Speaker 3: like kind of through a Patriots lens. I guess some
- 5:13Speaker 3: people already do those for different teams. And I was like,
- 5:16Speaker 3: that's actually a pretty good idea. Didn't you already just
- 5:18Speaker 3: do it with your big board kind of? So we
- 5:20Speaker 3: could just like keep packing more like you know, nice
- 5:25Speaker 3: like our lads, does you know, on glossy paper, on
- 5:28Speaker 3: glossy paper.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Okay, it's a whole cottage industry, this draft, man, it's
- 5:35Speaker 1: a pretty big industry.
- 5:37Speaker 6: Mel Kiper, thank you.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Why don't you do a guide to the off season
- 5:41Speaker 1: that would also include free agents?
- 5:43Speaker 6: We could do that.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I thought, you know, there's maybe positional needs could be
- 5:47Speaker 3: part of it too. And then you know, obviously my
- 5:50Speaker 3: my thoughts on the prospects and the rank my rankings
- 5:53Speaker 3: and stuff, because I already put it in a spreadsheet form,
- 5:55Speaker 3: so it's really just making it look nicer than that
- 5:58Speaker 3: that's all.
- 5:59Speaker 4: Now boys do a good job of that. Yeah, they
- 6:02Speaker 4: take what they take, the depth charts, the needs, the
- 6:05Speaker 4: free agent additions and whatnot. Yeah, now they do a job.
- 6:09Speaker 1: To be really credible. You feel like you would need
- 6:13Speaker 1: to uh actually go to games and or I know
- 6:19Speaker 1: you go to the All Star Games already.
- 6:20Speaker 3: When yeah, yeah, or when the schedule permits, I should say,
- 6:25Speaker 3: uh yeah. So like Dame goes, he even goes to
- 6:28Speaker 3: practices they like some of these schools will let him
- 6:31Speaker 3: in during the week to practice, and he goes and
- 6:34Speaker 3: talks to the coaches and stuff like that about the
- 6:37Speaker 3: different players and talks to the players directly a little bit.
- 6:40Speaker 3: So in order to do it on that level, Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 3: it has to be your job. It has to be
- 6:44Speaker 3: to your full time job. It's his full time job.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It's Jordan Reed and melt Piper's full time job.
- 6:50Speaker 1: They swing. But you know, people have taken risks before
- 6:53Speaker 1: and it's paid off and you know who knows.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a it's a full time job for sure.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Not not pushing to quit or anything.
- 7:05Speaker 7: About.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah we did. Paul and I got a tour of
- 7:08Speaker 2: the new training facility, new Balance Athletics Center, whatever the
- 7:14Speaker 2: new balance there we go, thank you, and we took
- 7:17Speaker 2: a walk through the scouting department and Paul was like,
- 7:19Speaker 2: this is where evens should be.
- 7:21Speaker 4: This is this was outside all the regular.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Really what you want to do scout? Uh, I do
- 7:29Speaker 1: really enjoy that.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I hate calling it scouting because I'm not a scout,
- 7:33Speaker 3: Like I'm not a professional scout. That's what you would,
- 7:35Speaker 3: I know, but I don't like calling it that right
- 7:38Speaker 3: now because I feel like it whatever. Uh, but that's
- 7:41Speaker 3: how I do really enjoy that aspect of it the most,
- 7:44Speaker 3: probably especially the college side. Like the pro side is fine,
- 7:48Speaker 3: but the college side. You know, I think I do
- 7:50Speaker 3: really enjoy that. I mean I think that, you know,
- 7:52Speaker 3: the guy that I was taught, I think I could
- 7:54Speaker 3: do I could do that as a part of this job.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I could do both of those things.
- 7:59Speaker 6: I don't need to go be Dame Brugler and and be.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But what's your dream job in football?
- 8:06Speaker 8: Uh?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah, probably probably scouting really on the college side, probably.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So you don't mind all the traveling and being in
- 8:13Speaker 1: That's why I don't do it.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean also like opportunity, but like that would
- 8:17Speaker 3: be the biggest reason other than getting my foot in
- 8:20Speaker 3: the door that I don't do it is because you know, travel,
- 8:24Speaker 3: we already travel a little bit and that, and it's
- 8:26Speaker 3: a lot. It had crank that up times ten. If
- 8:30Speaker 3: you're a scout, like five six days a week. Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 3: you know that that would be tough. But I feel
- 8:39Speaker 3: like that's you know, sitting and watching the film of
- 8:44Speaker 3: the draft guys, Like I love the days where I
- 8:47Speaker 3: can just sit there and watch like ten guys in
- 8:49Speaker 3: one day. That's like the best part of the of
- 8:51Speaker 3: this time of year. So that that is a lot
- 8:53Speaker 3: of fun.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Okay, yeah you like that better than analytics.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so because I'm not like with analytics,
- 8:59Speaker 3: I I'm good at researching numbers, but I'm not good
- 9:03Speaker 3: at calculating numbers. So I feel like the guys that
- 9:05Speaker 3: work in the analytics departments for the teams are actually
- 9:08Speaker 3: coming up with equations and like actually figuring out ways
- 9:12Speaker 3: to compute numbers different.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Ways of saying the same stuff. It's basically what it
- 9:18Speaker 1: is for me. I just am not like, I'm not
- 9:20Speaker 1: a coder.
- 9:21Speaker 6: I'm not like a I'm not a math guy.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Like, I just am resourceful, which I think is true
- 9:27Speaker 3: for a lot of people of our generation that grew
- 9:31Speaker 3: up with computers and Google and stuff like that.
- 9:33Speaker 1: So what did you think of your tour, Alex.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I thought it was awesome. Yeah, the gym was really cool.
- 9:38Speaker 2: We didn't get to see the locker room because there
- 9:39Speaker 2: were a lot of players back, but we got.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Called I don't think they call it the gym gym.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I guess you're right. We saw the weight room, which
- 9:49Speaker 2: is so awesome, like the cardios on manball to this kid,
- 9:53Speaker 2: but you have all the weight there's like there must
- 9:56Speaker 2: have been like eighteen squat racks in there, all overlooking
- 9:59Speaker 2: the Shie Old. It was so cool. I got to
- 10:02Speaker 2: eat in the dining room. That was my favorite.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Part, favorite party.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, what you have?
- 10:10Speaker 2: I got a sturfry and I had a piece of
- 10:12Speaker 2: salmon it was really I mean, and some watermelon juice.
- 10:15Speaker 6: The piece that's such a you meal.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Yeah, so they had a lot of stuff ready at
- 10:21Speaker 4: lunch and they sort of explained to us that Ted
- 10:23Speaker 4: Harper was The idea was to basically create a stress test,
- 10:29Speaker 4: you know, for when the players come on Monday. The
- 10:31Speaker 4: off season program begins on the twentieth, So there were
- 10:34Speaker 4: a handful of players around. I saw Tommy DeVito and.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Chair at the time that you could really stress that
- 10:39Speaker 1: place not anymore.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Right, Well, so what they wanted they had like a
- 10:43Speaker 4: nice buffet I got.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I got it.
- 10:45Speaker 4: There was a buffet on the side, and then there
- 10:48Speaker 4: is a I overlooked it. I let it go. And
- 10:52Speaker 4: then there was a place where you could, you know, individually,
- 10:55Speaker 4: order hot and cold. And they had a bunch of
- 10:58Speaker 4: stuff and they wanted you. They encouraged you to order something.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Is what you get us anything you want is They
- 11:03Speaker 4: had nice salad bar is.
- 11:04Speaker 2: A salad bar.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I got.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I was part of the kitchen.
- 11:10Speaker 4: He made to order. I didn't see pizza. They had wings,
- 11:14Speaker 4: they had like in the buffet. They had some barbecue.
- 11:17Speaker 4: They had some ribs and some like uh boy, like
- 11:21Speaker 4: smoked pork maybe he smoked.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Hand salmon mac and cheese cheese like some of the
- 11:27Speaker 2: game day staples. But it was better.
- 11:30Speaker 4: They had like frozen yogurt ice cream kind of station.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I didn't. I didn't do that. Maybe old Paul would
- 11:36Speaker 4: have done that. No diet, PEPSI no diet.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I wonder, I wonder why.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I don't think there was any soda.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I think there's any soda no soda.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But the drink selection is awesome because it's like picture
- 11:49Speaker 2: a gas station with those big refrigerators that take up
- 11:53Speaker 2: like a whole wall. That's what it was. With like
- 11:56Speaker 2: coconut water, electrolytes. I got cold Price juice is I
- 12:01Speaker 2: got a watermelon juice. I wish I took like three
- 12:03Speaker 2: of those.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So good.
- 12:05Speaker 2: But yeah, they're living large over there. I'm incredibly jealous.
- 12:08Speaker 4: So then Fred, you go up and you you order,
- 12:10Speaker 4: you like I ordered my burger, and you have to
- 12:13Speaker 4: write your name on it, and then you just go sit down.
- 12:15Speaker 4: That's like, this is the whole process. Ted sort of explained,
- 12:19Speaker 4: we want you to You can stand there and wait
- 12:21Speaker 4: if you want, but we'd like it if you just
- 12:22Speaker 4: would go sit down. We want to see if they
- 12:25Speaker 4: can find you. Okay, So like, incredible, I ordered my
- 12:30Speaker 4: burger and a woman who I've never seen before came
- 12:33Speaker 4: over here you go, Paul, thank you so much. I
- 12:36Speaker 4: was like, thank you very much. The whole table looked
- 12:38Speaker 4: at me like do you know her?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Like no, idea, you paid attention, but she must just.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Know me, you know what I'm saying, Fred, Yeah, sure,
- 12:44Speaker 4: because she didn't really.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Know everybody else at the table. Maybe she watches Patriots unfiltered,
- 12:49Speaker 3: but it was.
- 12:50Speaker 4: It was kind of funny. There were a couple of
- 12:52Speaker 4: REVS employees with us and they were like, did she
- 12:56Speaker 4: know you? Like, that's so cool, Well that's great.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Its yeah. I have been over there. I haven't eaten there,
- 13:04Speaker 1: but I I I've seen the place and it's like
- 13:09Speaker 1: night and day. It's I can't wait for the players
- 13:12Speaker 1: to get here.
- 13:13Speaker 4: So, you know, the biggest thing that stood out to
- 13:15Speaker 4: me light.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Light, A lot of lights, I mean especially compared to
- 13:21Speaker 3: well that's that's what I'm saying.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Like the windows they have, what they are.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Coming from was sort of for a pro team, pretty
- 13:29Speaker 4: bare bones, bare minimum. So everything that's brand new is
- 13:33Speaker 4: obviously going to be impressive. That which is right. We
- 13:35Speaker 4: were sitting there, like overlooking all the squat racks and
- 13:39Speaker 4: Alex was like actually counting them, like it's amazing just
- 13:43Speaker 4: how much bigger it is. But it's probably in terms
- 13:46Speaker 4: of everybody else. It's probably up to speed, you know.
- 13:49Speaker 4: But like when you just see like the difference pardon
- 13:52Speaker 4: the pond, the night and day difference of the lighting,
- 13:56Speaker 4: it was unbelievable looking the practice.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Field by Ryan Cowden's office and it's just a giant
- 14:03Speaker 2: picture window and all you see is the practice field,
- 14:06Speaker 2: just like the beautiful blue sky the green grass, And
- 14:08Speaker 2: I'm like, what a difference that must be for a
- 14:11Speaker 2: working environment and the like, not to call it a dungeon,
- 14:15Speaker 2: like not enough windows in this place, you know.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think you know the flow.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Of everything, it's so intentional. Like one of the coolest
- 14:23Speaker 2: things I thought was there's two VR rooms which there's
- 14:27Speaker 2: a foldable like collapsible door between them that you can open,
- 14:31Speaker 2: and it creates this field that is the width of
- 14:34Speaker 2: an NFL field, so there's an offensive one and a
- 14:37Speaker 2: defensive one, and then you can close it. And all
- 14:39Speaker 2: the position meeting rooms like it's like the d bacs
- 14:44Speaker 2: in this room, corners like whatever. They open up right
- 14:48Speaker 2: to the VR room, so you can sit in a
- 14:51Speaker 2: meeting and be learning about these coaching points and then
- 14:53Speaker 2: you can literally go right outside the door and put
- 14:55Speaker 2: it into practice in the VR room.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Yep.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, cool.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I've been trying to get into the VR him for
- 15:00Speaker 3: four years, so maybe this isn't now's the time chance. Yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 3: I think it's especially for quarterbacks, it's becoming a really
- 15:08Speaker 3: really popular because you don't get hit, so you.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Can go in the VR room.
- 15:12Speaker 3: And Jayden Daniels specifically has talked about it and he
- 15:16Speaker 3: like turns it up so that the speed is even
- 15:18Speaker 3: faster than what it is in an NFL game, so
- 15:21Speaker 3: that when he goes and play and plays in an
- 15:24Speaker 3: actual game, it's actually slower. The processing is actually slower
- 15:27Speaker 3: than what the VR is able to do, so it
- 15:30Speaker 3: kind of trains his eyes to move through things faster.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Drake may said that he used it a little bit
- 15:34Speaker 3: as a rookie year when he was thought it a.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Lot when Mayo was here, but thought it as much
- 15:39Speaker 4: last year.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yeah, when he was sitting behind Jacoby Brissett, he said
- 15:43Speaker 3: that he would run through the game plan for that
- 15:46Speaker 3: week in the VR headset to try to simulate the game.
- 15:52Speaker 4: Cool. I stuck my head in Josh's office because I
- 15:54Speaker 4: was going to say hey, hey, Evans says hey, but
- 15:56Speaker 4: he wasn't there. Well, that's the only one I would
- 16:00Speaker 4: feel comfortable doing that too.
- 16:01Speaker 6: I appreciate the effort.
- 16:03Speaker 1: We'll see more and more of this facility as we
- 16:06Speaker 1: get closer to training camp, probably have an official ribbon
- 16:10Speaker 1: cutting at some point. A lot of the artwork isn't
- 16:12Speaker 1: up yet, it's not pretty yet, and.
- 16:14Speaker 2: There were still guys working on lighting fixtures, installing stuff,
- 16:17Speaker 2: working with like the duct work on ladders and stuff.
- 16:20Speaker 4: It's just opening for us.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean everyone's been moved in. I believe Richie
- 16:25Speaker 2: was telling me they've been in there for like three
- 16:26Speaker 2: weeks now, but there's just there's construction, you know, there's
- 16:29Speaker 2: always stuff that's going to have to get fixed and reworked.
- 16:33Speaker 1: So yeah, so we are exactly one week away from
- 16:37Speaker 1: the draft. We are correct one week in a few hours.
- 16:41Speaker 1: So what are we thinking, have we you know, do
- 16:44Speaker 1: we have any things that they pound the table guys
- 16:47Speaker 1: that you're looking at right now?
- 16:49Speaker 3: Or I think the one thing I keep hearing it
- 16:52Speaker 3: kind of goes back to what Elliot Wolf said on Monday,
- 16:56Speaker 3: and you know, he had his his butt his caveat
- 16:59Speaker 3: that he wants to make sure also got part of
- 17:01Speaker 3: the quote. But you know, I keep getting told, don't
- 17:05Speaker 3: you know, this is not a very good draft, And
- 17:09Speaker 3: it's not a very good draft on day one, day two,
- 17:12Speaker 3: or day three. So the prospects that you're getting in
- 17:16Speaker 3: any round is a little bit lesser than in a normal,
- 17:21Speaker 3: good draft, whatever you want to call it. So I
- 17:25Speaker 3: keep hearing that the terms like just get on base
- 17:29Speaker 3: with your picks, like just hit singles and doubles, like
- 17:33Speaker 3: don't be trying to hit home runs in a draft
- 17:35Speaker 3: like this because it's just risky because there's not a
- 17:39Speaker 3: lot of talent. So, you know, I think that there
- 17:42Speaker 3: is a chance, especially in the first round, that we
- 17:45Speaker 3: see teams truly pick the best player available and not
- 17:50Speaker 3: be really you know, pigeonholed to one specific position of need.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Do you think this is now going to become a
- 17:55Speaker 1: trend because of the way guys are transferring, They don't
- 18:00Speaker 1: spend they spend a minimum amount of time. Well, now
- 18:03Speaker 1: I guess they're gonna spend more time in college because
- 18:05Speaker 1: the money's there. But yeah, I mean, do you think
- 18:09Speaker 1: talent doesn't get developed fast enough in college so that
- 18:14Speaker 1: the drafts are good and could just be a matter
- 18:17Speaker 1: of perspective where maybe this draft is better than you
- 18:20Speaker 1: think it is. These guys just haven't developed yet.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, do you guys fallow through the cracks because
- 18:24Speaker 2: they're transferring and moving.
- 18:26Speaker 3: I think that the transferring probably is a factor, and
- 18:29Speaker 3: you know, you can look at it one of two ways.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I think some people look at it and say, these
- 18:34Speaker 3: guys now know how to deal with money, and they
- 18:36Speaker 3: know how to handle that aspect of managing their lives
- 18:40Speaker 3: with money because of nil.
- 18:42Speaker 1: They also look at it.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You have to learn multiple playbooks, so the transition from
- 18:47Speaker 3: college to the pros versus a guy that's been in
- 18:50Speaker 3: the same program for three to four years, maybe they
- 18:53Speaker 3: have a better understanding of how to you know, absorb
- 18:56Speaker 3: a playbook because they had to learn multiple playbooks. But
- 18:59Speaker 3: they also changed coaching staffs, and they change systems, and
- 19:02Speaker 3: they change position coaches and all that stuff, So maybe
- 19:05Speaker 3: it does hurt and the development aspect of it. I
- 19:09Speaker 3: did not hear a lot of this chatter about it
- 19:11Speaker 3: being a down year the last couple of years, so
- 19:14Speaker 3: I don't think. I think this is a little bit
- 19:16Speaker 3: unique to this specific draft. But it just keeps on here.
- 19:19Speaker 3: You keep hearing things like I said, of throw positional
- 19:23Speaker 3: value out, throw you know needs out because if you
- 19:27Speaker 3: draft you know, we are a team that only drafts
- 19:30Speaker 3: premium positions. So we're not gonna draft linebackers, running backs
- 19:33Speaker 3: and nose tackles.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Early in the draft.
- 19:35Speaker 3: You're gonna end up reaching on the seventh best tackle
- 19:39Speaker 3: or the eighth best wide receiver. And in a draft
- 19:42Speaker 3: like this, that could get you into trouble because there
- 19:44Speaker 3: isn't a lot of talent. So you know, Eric DaCosta,
- 19:48Speaker 3: the general manager of the Ravens, who's obviously a very
- 19:50Speaker 3: well respected drafter, said that talent drops off about midway
- 19:54Speaker 3: through the first round. So I think teams feel like
- 19:56Speaker 3: there's like fourteen to fifteen true first round in this draft.
- 20:01Speaker 3: So that doesn't mean that all they're going to be
- 20:04Speaker 3: bad players, Like, they're still going to be good players.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But the notion is is just with your first round pick, especially,
- 20:11Speaker 3: just draft a good football player, Like, even if it's
- 20:14Speaker 3: not necessarily at a glaring position of need, just draft
- 20:17Speaker 3: a good football player, because if you end up reaching
- 20:20Speaker 3: in a draft like this, you might be really reaching,
- 20:22Speaker 3: you know, just to fill a need.
- 20:24Speaker 4: And I heard your boy Brugler this morning on Toucher
- 20:27Speaker 4: and Hardy and that, you know, to that end, one
- 20:30Speaker 4: of the things he was asked was that, you know,
- 20:34Speaker 4: high end guys, all pro caliber players, potential All pros
- 20:38Speaker 4: in the draft, and he thinks that might be two.
- 20:43Speaker 4: So that's a low number, you know, he said, so
- 20:46Speaker 4: you're talking like top five at their position, maybe two,
- 20:50Speaker 4: he said. If you expand that a little bit, maybe
- 20:52Speaker 4: seven or eight ten the position, you're probably adding another
- 20:54Speaker 4: half dozen or so. But then he he he went
- 20:58Speaker 4: to whatever, and just just like they'll be good players
- 21:01Speaker 4: to find. You just might not have the high endine
- 21:05Speaker 4: in draft classes in general. And it's not fair, but
- 21:09Speaker 4: it does happen. It gets defined by quarterbacks and the
- 21:13Speaker 4: high end talent, the blue chips, and I think it's
- 21:16Speaker 4: a little low. He you know, he thinks Jeremiah Love
- 21:19Speaker 4: and Caleb Downs the two guys that he thinks potentially
- 21:22Speaker 4: could be all pros.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think Mendoza could could be in
- 21:26Speaker 3: that category as well.
- 21:28Speaker 6: I I'm not.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Entirely sure why Mendoz is not being considered. To me,
- 21:35Speaker 3: Mendoza is right in the same ballpark as had the
- 21:37Speaker 3: wrong agent as Caleb and Jaden Daniels and Drake may like.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I think that he's that level of prospect, but other
- 21:44Speaker 3: people think that he's maybe a little bit lesser than
- 21:47Speaker 3: that level. I don't know why, but that that's just
- 21:50Speaker 3: the thing. I just think that it's just interesting to
- 21:54Speaker 3: hear people saying it's not just the first round.
- 21:57Speaker 1: It's all three days where the it's water critical.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Talk of Day three in particular last year, I think
- 22:04Speaker 4: people felt like there was there was some value to
- 22:06Speaker 4: be had in Day three.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yeah, fourth and fifth round because all we have is
- 22:10Speaker 1: Day three picks. Well I know because I hated them.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Yeah, just like Elliot Wolf said, like when you say that,
- 22:17Speaker 3: then people are going to listen to it and say, well,
- 22:20Speaker 3: they're picking thirty one, so they're screwed, right, That's not
- 22:22Speaker 3: what I'm saying. I'm just saying, don't be totally surprised
- 22:26Speaker 3: if they maybe go a little bit outside of the
- 22:29Speaker 3: position of need. Like you know, Cadan McDonald is a
- 22:31Speaker 3: guy that keeps on getting brought up the nose tackle
- 22:33Speaker 3: from Ohio State. It's not the most pressing need, but
- 22:39Speaker 3: obviously they lose Tonga in free agency, they don't really
- 22:41Speaker 3: have another run stuffing nose tackle like that on the roster,
- 22:44Speaker 3: and there's a chance that he might be just be
- 22:46Speaker 3: the best player available.
- 22:48Speaker 6: The other name that was flowed to me was CJ.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Allen, the linebacker from Georgia, who I think is the.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Consensus number one linebacker.
- 22:55Speaker 3: You know, we've talked about linebacker as a need a lot,
- 22:58Speaker 3: But is that round one need you know, maybe not so.
- 23:02Speaker 1: In other words, this is not a draft to overthink things.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but I would actually say this might sound like
- 23:08Speaker 4: you know, Homer Central Pitches dot Com. I think it's
- 23:10Speaker 4: a good year to be picking late because there aren't
- 23:14Speaker 4: those guys like Cheese. If we just had a top
- 23:16Speaker 4: ten pick, we could get x. You know, we could
- 23:18Speaker 4: get you know, Tyler Warren or you know, Travis Hunter
- 23:22Speaker 4: from last year, all those kinds of one to get
- 23:25Speaker 4: a good player anyway, But there aren't a lot of
- 23:28Speaker 4: great players. But there's there's gonna be good players. Every
- 23:31Speaker 4: draft has good players.
- 23:32Speaker 6: It certainly levels off.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Like I would say, there's a really wide range too,
- 23:37Speaker 3: of like from like twenty to maybe even the end
- 23:40Speaker 3: of Day two. There's not a whole lot of difference
- 23:43Speaker 3: between a lot of these prospects when you start stacking
- 23:45Speaker 3: by position, you know, I think that a lot of
- 23:47Speaker 3: these guys are are pretty similar in terms of grades.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So in that.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Respect, I guess you're right.
- 23:54Speaker 3: You know, if you're picking in a draft like this,
- 23:56Speaker 3: if you're picking like sixteenth, that's kind of the worst
- 23:59Speaker 3: place to be because you're not high enough to get
- 24:01Speaker 3: the blue chip guys that are available, but you're you're
- 24:04Speaker 3: kind of in the beginning of.
- 24:07Speaker 1: The middle level off. Yes, I didn't.
- 24:09Speaker 6: Yeah, the mid.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah, what your kids say mid Yeah, I'd have to
- 24:15Speaker 2: ask you.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I like that because I feel like I hear this
- 24:20Speaker 3: a lot from people. And then there's always somebody at
- 24:24Speaker 3: the end of the first round that ends up being
- 24:25Speaker 3: in an all Pro caliber player, Like it always happens
- 24:28Speaker 3: every single year. There's guys that you know, get drafted
- 24:32Speaker 3: Day one, Day two that are Pro Bowlers. And then
- 24:34Speaker 3: you said, well, it's a bad draft. You know, well,
- 24:36Speaker 3: that's a general consensus, not necessarily about every single player.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Doesn't have to be a bad draft for you. You picked
- 24:44Speaker 4: two or three guys that end up being good players
- 24:46Speaker 4: for you, and it was a good draft for you.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't necessarily like it when gms come out
- 24:51Speaker 1: and say, oh, it's a bad draft. To me, it
- 24:53Speaker 1: sounds like you're setting it up for yourself, like, oh,
- 24:57Speaker 1: you know if it doesn't work out, well, I told
- 24:59Speaker 1: you it was a bit draft.
- 25:01Speaker 6: I heard you're saying.
- 25:02Speaker 4: I think that it make that threat negativity.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I think you could hit singles and doubles in a
- 25:08Speaker 3: draft like this, if you if you know what you're doing,
- 25:10Speaker 3: you can get guys that are going to be good
- 25:13Speaker 3: NFL players that can you know, hold down Last.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Year good like going into it, were people saying.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I would say last year was probably if we go
- 25:23Speaker 3: with the last three drafts, last year was probably the middle.
- 25:26Speaker 3: This one's probably the worst. Last year was the midpoint.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Drake May's draft was the best. And so that that's
- 25:32Speaker 3: sort of how it's being looked at because.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Last year wasn't it like, oh, it's a good draft
- 25:38Speaker 1: for it and it was a couple of positions, but
- 25:39Speaker 1: after that.
- 25:40Speaker 2: It's not it was like top heavy, wasn't it last year?
- 25:42Speaker 3: Well, there's a lot, there was more I would say
- 25:45Speaker 3: premium talent in last year's draft at the top certainly,
- 25:50Speaker 3: you know what another draft that really was a one
- 25:52Speaker 3: quarterback draft though you know, cam Ward was really the
- 25:54Speaker 3: only quarterback and I think Mendoza is a better quarterback
- 25:57Speaker 3: than cam Ward, better prospect.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Uh, but I agree.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I think last year's draft was a little deeper in
- 26:04Speaker 3: terms of like Day two and Day three picks than
- 26:07Speaker 3: this one is.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And you thought people thought that going in.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I would say so. And Drake May's draft going
- 26:15Speaker 3: in was considered a really good one. Now, some of
- 26:18Speaker 3: that's because there were like four or five quarterbacks that
- 26:21Speaker 3: were worthy of first round picks, but you also had
- 26:24Speaker 3: you know, bleak neighbors Marvin Harrison, Junior, Joe Alt. You know,
- 26:28Speaker 3: you also had some other really good players in that
- 26:30Speaker 3: draft that weren't cortant.
- 26:31Speaker 4: You guys are right about the positions, though, Like there's
- 26:33Speaker 4: a year, you know, like this year they're talking about
- 26:35Speaker 4: you know, edge guys are deep, tight ends or deep
- 26:38Speaker 4: you know, in the other spots, maybe you know, not
- 26:40Speaker 4: quite as right as deep, but you know they changed,
- 26:45Speaker 4: you know, one year it might have you know, like
- 26:47Speaker 4: two years ago you had all those quarterbacks that hit
- 26:49Speaker 4: you know, like yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's interesting.
- 26:52Speaker 4: I think it just depends on the value of what
- 26:54Speaker 4: you're looking for.
- 26:56Speaker 3: It is a good draft, I think in terms of
- 26:58Speaker 3: the Patriots needs, you know them specifically edge rusher tackle
- 27:05Speaker 3: has some decent talent in the first round. You know,
- 27:08Speaker 3: tight end, I think they're they're wide receiver draft. People
- 27:11Speaker 3: are starting to really warm up to the prospects in
- 27:14Speaker 3: this wide receiver draft. Maybe not the superstar you know,
- 27:17Speaker 3: Jamar Chase level prospect, but enough like, you know, starter
- 27:21Speaker 3: talent at that position. So you know, those are positions edge,
- 27:25Speaker 3: tight end, offensive line, you know, the wide receiver that
- 27:29Speaker 3: the Patriots are squarely in the market for.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You know.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Elliot Wolf said on Monday that the linebacker class that
- 27:35Speaker 3: looked great on paper when they actually finished up the grades,
- 27:38Speaker 3: and that's why all this is coming out now is
- 27:40Speaker 3: because teams are actually getting final grades and stacking the board.
- 27:44Speaker 3: He said on Monday that it didn't come out as
- 27:46Speaker 3: good as he was hoping, So maybe not as much
- 27:49Speaker 3: on the linebackers, but those positions I think are deep.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Anthony says, so was this draft worse than twenty twenty two?
- 27:57Speaker 1: It may be a quarterback bias of twenty twenty two,
- 27:59Speaker 1: but I recall that year being bad. Do you agree
- 28:02Speaker 1: which would be worse between twenty two and twenty six?
- 28:05Speaker 1: It's a good question.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Can you call up the draft like, yeah, I mean,
- 28:10Speaker 4: I'm an intelligent man, but I can't give you that draft.
- 28:13Speaker 1: No, that was a year after Mac that was strange, stranger.
- 28:16Speaker 4: So I'm again bad for the Patriots. But was it
- 28:19Speaker 4: a bad draft? I don't remember.
- 28:21Speaker 3: I don't remember that one being obviously bad quarterback draft
- 28:25Speaker 3: that was Kenny Pickett. You know, uh, Malik Willis that
- 28:28Speaker 3: that draft class of quarterbacks.
- 28:30Speaker 6: But I don't.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Remember the whole draft being the first round might have
- 28:34Speaker 3: been spotty.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, I was gonna say the first round
- 28:37Speaker 1: now that I look, you know, because we were I
- 28:40Speaker 1: was hoping for that linebacker.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Uh that was Devin Lloyd. Lloyd Was that his draft? Yeah,
- 28:46Speaker 3: I mean they could have had Train McDuffie. They were
- 28:48Speaker 3: on the clock and here's the first The first round
- 28:51Speaker 3: was Trayvon Walker.
- 28:53Speaker 6: Yeah, is Aiden Hutchinson, Raean.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Hutchinson, Derek Stingley, Sauce Gardner, like a kanwu Evan, Neil,
- 29:02Speaker 4: Drake London, Charles Cross, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jamison Williams,
- 29:06Speaker 4: Jordan Davis, Kyle Hamilton. You got to get all the
- 29:10Speaker 4: way to fifteen to get a real bust ken Kenyon Green.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Yeah, those are good players, yeah, Kyle Hamilton.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Then you get some there's some busty picks and that's why, Yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 4: I John Dotson, Zion Johnson, Traylon Burks.
- 29:22Speaker 6: Yeah, no, those that that top half is pretty.
- 29:25Speaker 4: But then Trent McDuffie, Quay Walker, Tyler Smith, Tyler Linderbaum.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Stud That was a pretty good draft at the top,
- 29:35Speaker 3: even like, even though I think Ad Hutchinson ended up
- 29:37Speaker 3: being the better player, Travon Walker is still a really
- 29:39Speaker 3: good player.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you know, like the bottom half of
- 29:42Speaker 4: that first round, Tyler Smith, Tyler Linderbaum, Jermaine Johnson, Devin Lloyd,
- 29:47Speaker 4: Devonte Wyatt, and then Cole Strange. George Kloftis has been
- 29:51Speaker 4: a pretty good player for the Chiefs. So that wasn't
- 29:52Speaker 4: a bad first round. Some real busty picks though, including
- 29:57Speaker 4: my every guy Lewis Seen who up his leg in
- 30:01Speaker 4: the preseason.
- 30:01Speaker 1: That was never the same injuries. Yeah, all right, Well
- 30:04Speaker 1: it's eight five five Pats five hundred is the hotline
- 30:08Speaker 1: podcast at Patriots dot com. Is the email address. We
- 30:12Speaker 1: got a stacked phone line, so why don't we open
- 30:15Speaker 1: it up, see what people have to say?
- 30:17Speaker 4: And some extra guys are in that phone line today.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yeah, phone line's been Yeah, Zach's in New Hampshire. He's
- 30:23Speaker 1: been now a frequent caller. What's up, Zach Kicky?
- 30:27Speaker 9: Thanks for taking my call?
- 30:28Speaker 8: Yeah, Evan, I was looking back at your big board again.
- 30:31Speaker 8: Unt how you had Chris Bell at eighteen?
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yes, I was just wondering.
- 30:36Speaker 8: You know, he was obviously a stud before the injury,
- 30:39Speaker 8: and your comp was shades of AJ Brown, So like
- 30:42Speaker 8: what sticks with you the most about him being like Brown?
- 30:45Speaker 8: And when do you think he could be back from
- 30:47Speaker 8: the injury and what do you think he could be
- 30:49Speaker 8: in New England?
- 30:50Speaker 4: Uh?
- 30:50Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the tough part is the injury.
- 30:53Speaker 3: You know, based off of early reports on his timeline,
- 30:57Speaker 3: it sounds like he's probably not going to be ready
- 31:00Speaker 3: until midway through next season.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I mean he tore his ACL in late November and
- 31:05Speaker 3: had surgery in early December, so he's probably.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I think we're talking.
- 31:11Speaker 3: About him potentially red shirting his entire rookie year because
- 31:14Speaker 3: that by the point he's healthy to play, you know,
- 31:18Speaker 3: as a rookie, y ar already eight nine weeks into
- 31:20Speaker 3: the season. Like, what is he really gonna do? I
- 31:23Speaker 3: in terms of the AJ Brown, you know comparison his
- 31:27Speaker 3: I would say the two specialties that he has is
- 31:30Speaker 3: winning the ball down the field at the catch point,
- 31:32Speaker 3: and he's got real juice after the catch. Now you
- 31:35Speaker 3: worry about the catch and run stuff underneath, Like with
- 31:37Speaker 3: a knee injury, is he gonna get all that explosiveness
- 31:40Speaker 3: back that's gonna be big. But he's one of those
- 31:43Speaker 3: guys like early career AJ Brown, that like you can
- 31:46Speaker 3: hit him on a crossing router or a slant coming
- 31:47Speaker 3: over the middle of the field and he just he's gone.
- 31:50Speaker 1: You know, he just destroys pursuit angles.
- 31:52Speaker 3: But he You're gonna have a the concern about him
- 31:55Speaker 3: maybe missing his rookie year, but also the concern about
- 31:58Speaker 3: is he going to get back to the pre the
- 32:00Speaker 3: A C L injury health and play speed because that's
- 32:03Speaker 3: a lot of his game is being able to, you know,
- 32:06Speaker 3: pick up yards after the catch.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Thanks for the call, Zach. Let's go to herm in
- 32:11Speaker 1: d C. What's up herm? Hey?
- 32:14Speaker 9: How are you doing? Part of people?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Hey who question?
- 32:20Speaker 2: Never heard that?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 32:21Speaker 9: Part of people young?
- 32:27Speaker 4: Sorry?
- 32:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 32:30Speaker 10: All good?
- 32:31Speaker 9: So I think I'll watch one of your breakdowns yesterday, Evan.
- 32:33Speaker 9: I think it was the day before yesterday about I
- 32:37Speaker 9: can receivers and I'm not.
- 32:39Speaker 11: I think you.
- 32:40Speaker 9: I think you sold them bras a little bit to
- 32:42Speaker 9: the point where I'm like, listen, I wasn't in the
- 32:44Speaker 9: A J. Brown camp to begin with, but I'm team
- 32:47Speaker 9: you know, draft and developed. But I think I mean
- 32:52Speaker 9: I didn't realize yet he basically killed Georgia, which is
- 32:59Speaker 9: obviously the love forward. And the comment I have for
- 33:04Speaker 9: you is what's the case against drafting? That's that's that's
- 33:13Speaker 9: really my guy one and I take up the list.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Okay, thanks her, Yeah, thanks for watching the breakdown. Yeah, Brasil,
- 33:21Speaker 3: I think Brazil against Georgia might be the best wide
- 33:23Speaker 3: receiver tape of any player in the draft. I mean,
- 33:26Speaker 3: he just absolutely torched Georgia's defense. So it had like
- 33:30Speaker 3: a couple of touchdowns I want to say, almost two
- 33:32Speaker 3: hundred yards receiving in that game. I mean just in it,
- 33:36Speaker 3: like the whole repertoire of what he's able to do.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I put a lot of stock probably too much, but
- 33:41Speaker 3: a lot of stock in games against that type of competition.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Like you know, it's one thing to go watch a
- 33:48Speaker 3: guy play, you know, it's one of the hardest parts
- 33:50Speaker 3: about the draft with the small school guys like you know,
- 33:53Speaker 3: watching you know, Skyler Bell for example from Yukon, you know,
- 33:57Speaker 3: go his best. You know, FBS competition is maybe like
- 34:00Speaker 3: Syracuse or Boston College, which like no offense, but that's
- 34:04Speaker 3: not Georgia, you know, in the SEC.
- 34:06Speaker 4: So be careful, they won't let you back.
- 34:10Speaker 3: So seeing seeing you know Bras will do that against
- 34:14Speaker 3: Georgia's DBS. That's a different, different type of level to me. Uh,
- 34:19Speaker 3: Zion Young, I think the biggest thing with him, Uh,
- 34:22Speaker 3: he's right now, he's probably a better run defender than
- 34:25Speaker 3: he is a pass rusher. Do you see the fluidity,
- 34:28Speaker 3: do you see the bend? Do you see the burst
- 34:30Speaker 3: off the edge to be able to be a high
- 34:32Speaker 3: level pass rusher at the next level. I I don't
- 34:35Speaker 3: know how much it's factored into teams evaluations of him.
- 34:40Speaker 3: The off field stuff is is a flag that you're
- 34:42Speaker 3: gonna have to be comfortable with.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Uh.
- 34:45Speaker 3: He's got a little bit of a of a history
- 34:47Speaker 3: there off the field. But on the field, the most
- 34:50Speaker 3: important thing I would say is is like he a true,
- 34:54Speaker 3: you know, bend the edge type of guy, Like can
- 34:56Speaker 3: he really get after the quarterback and be a high pressure,
- 34:59Speaker 3: high zac guy or is he more one of these
- 35:02Speaker 3: like long, sturdy run defenders, which there's nothing wrong with that.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I just don't know if that's you know, they say
- 35:07Speaker 3: speed off the edge in.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Zion, like Casius Howell, he's more of a pure pass
- 35:12Speaker 4: rusher who probably doesn't do those things that young does
- 35:16Speaker 4: as well right now, So certainly it's one of things
- 35:19Speaker 4: you got to pick your flavor of vice.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I just if when Elliot Wolf gets up there and
- 35:23Speaker 3: says that they want to get speed off the edge
- 35:25Speaker 3: to compliment their room Zion, Yeah, is not the one
- 35:29Speaker 3: I think about, you know, so I if that's the
- 35:32Speaker 3: what they're if they're really sticking to that, then I
- 35:35Speaker 3: don't think it will be him.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Christians in La what's up? Christian?
- 35:40Speaker 12: Hey, you guys, Hey, you guys, Hey, you guys. This
- 35:46Speaker 12: is this is a big deal. I don't know why
- 35:47Speaker 12: you guys haven't talked about it, because we made so
- 35:50Speaker 12: much progress last year and we finally took this leap
- 35:53Speaker 12: and we're back of the team, only to have the
- 35:56Speaker 12: person who's at the helm make one of the stupidest
- 35:59Speaker 12: decisions that I've seen made since several years, to go
- 36:03Speaker 12: out after winning Coach of the Year that much high
- 36:06Speaker 12: caliber publicity and to have an affair and get busted
- 36:09Speaker 12: and then be in the news with it. Now, I'm
- 36:11Speaker 12: wondering what we're going to do as a team when
- 36:16Speaker 12: our coach is going to have to be forced probably
- 36:18Speaker 12: to leave and what mister Craft is going to do
- 36:21Speaker 12: Because we have a moral clause with this team, We've
- 36:24Speaker 12: exercised it on players. What are we going to do
- 36:26Speaker 12: about exercising it on our coach. I know you guys
- 36:28Speaker 12: don't want to talk about it uglyas on football really,
- 36:31Speaker 12: but I'm really worrying. I'm really upset about this, and
- 36:33Speaker 12: I'm still disappointed in my decision that he's made. It
- 36:36Speaker 12: might set us back.
- 36:37Speaker 4: You guys, help me talk about this, well, I'll talk
- 36:41Speaker 4: about it. None of the things that you're concerned about
- 36:44Speaker 4: are going to happen. Like a morals clause for having
- 36:46Speaker 4: an affair, yeah, is going to cost you your job.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mean half the league would lose their job, more
- 36:51Speaker 1: than half. Yeah. Yeah. So, like, I mean, first of all,
- 36:55Speaker 1: you don't know if it's true, but if it is,
- 36:58Speaker 1: like consenting adults, it's more on her side because of
- 37:02Speaker 1: the ethical part of it at being a journalist, and
- 37:06Speaker 1: but you know, like God, like I would imagine, like
- 37:10Speaker 1: they say, over fifty percent of marriages and the divorce,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I would say more than that number one of the
- 37:18Speaker 1: other spouses had an affair. I mean it's just you know, so,
- 37:23Speaker 1: I mean, what are you gonna do.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's not great. And everything he said
- 37:27Speaker 4: about you know, being in a bad situation and all
- 37:31Speaker 4: that stuff bad judgment is true. But I'm just talking
- 37:34Speaker 4: about for football moving forward.
- 37:37Speaker 1: It.
- 37:38Speaker 4: I mean, it was terrible judgment on both parts if true.
- 37:41Speaker 4: If see, I don't even think I need to know
- 37:47Speaker 4: about what happened. It was terrible judgment to be where
- 37:50Speaker 4: they were, yeah, in in the situation they were in.
- 37:52Speaker 4: It it's not an appropriate relationship for a reporter and a
- 37:55Speaker 4: coach in my opinion. But you're not going to lose
- 38:01Speaker 4: your job because you had an affair.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Right it's your personal business.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Diana Russini didn't resign necessarily because she had an affair.
- 38:10Speaker 4: It's because of the journalistic part of it that didn't
- 38:12Speaker 4: know that ostensibly is not allowing her to do her
- 38:15Speaker 4: job properly. It's not fair. It's a double standard there is,
- 38:19Speaker 4: you know. You know, it's tougher for women in that
- 38:23Speaker 4: regard because I think they fight more of an uphill
- 38:25Speaker 4: battle also trying to get legitimacy.
- 38:27Speaker 1: There aren't enough men covering women's sports where you could
- 38:31Speaker 1: have the apples to apples.
- 38:32Speaker 4: I think now like nowadays, this you know, and I
- 38:35Speaker 4: think we have some female members of you know here
- 38:38Speaker 4: with the Patriots in personnel and you know, sort of
- 38:41Speaker 4: not necessarily positioning coaches and scouting. But are they in
- 38:44Speaker 4: the scouting pipeline, I mean the coaching pipeline? Like, so,
- 38:47Speaker 4: is it out of the rama possibility that a female
- 38:50Speaker 4: wide receivers coach for some team? And I mean this
- 38:53Speaker 4: could happen and the man the reporter is going to
- 38:56Speaker 4: lose his job because it's and he should. Yes, So
- 39:01Speaker 4: it's an unfortunate situation. I don't like to see people
- 39:04Speaker 4: lose jobs, you know, But I don't think this is
- 39:08Speaker 4: I mean, it's something that Mike Gravel is probably going
- 39:10Speaker 4: to have to address with his team, you know, just
- 39:13Speaker 4: to sort of set the record straight among his players.
- 39:15Speaker 4: You know, he preaches a lot of family values and
- 39:18Speaker 4: you know that kind of stuff. So it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing,
- 39:22Speaker 4: but I don't think it's going to have long reaching implications. Alex,
- 39:27Speaker 4: I know, you know, it's the only female here. I mean,
- 39:29Speaker 4: if you have some thoughts on this, you can tell
- 39:31Speaker 4: me how much of a chauvinistic pig I just was.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't think so at all. I
- 39:34Speaker 2: think it sucks because it kind of puts women like
- 39:37Speaker 2: me in a position now like, yeah, it looks bad
- 39:41Speaker 2: for all women reporters, you know, because just the preconceived
- 39:45Speaker 2: thoughts people have.
- 39:46Speaker 1: But we shouldn't even like say it's bad for a reporter, Yeah,
- 39:51Speaker 1: to do that with the subject matter that you're covering,
- 39:55Speaker 1: you know, and I know it's just sports, but you're
- 39:58Speaker 1: still a journalist. You're still supposed to be you know.
- 40:02Speaker 2: You should have never put yourself in that situation where
- 40:05Speaker 2: it's supposed to be poculated on. So it's unfortunate. I
- 40:10Speaker 2: think I've seen a lot of people compare it to
- 40:12Speaker 2: like the e Ma Adoka situation, which is I think
- 40:15Speaker 2: totally different because she was a Celtics employee. He was
- 40:18Speaker 2: a superior to her, So that's that's a work that's
- 40:21Speaker 2: a workplace jr. Issue. This is totally different, Like you said,
- 40:25Speaker 2: two consenting adults. It's unfortunate. But yeah, it's unfortunately rampant
- 40:32Speaker 2: in this industry. It's in the world, it really is,
- 40:35Speaker 2: and I hate that it's almost been.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Like we couldn't even scan the cameras at a concert
- 40:40Speaker 1: without catching two people exactly.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And it's really unfortunate that we've just been like desensitized
- 40:46Speaker 2: to it as a society. But yeah, what are you
- 40:50Speaker 2: gonna You can't fire him.
- 40:53Speaker 1: As a reporter.
- 40:54Speaker 3: I think it's a difficult line to walk because there's
- 40:59Speaker 3: clearly a mutual beneficial relationship between a reporter and a subject,
- 41:04Speaker 3: where the reporter wants information, the subject wants to curry favor,
- 41:10Speaker 3: And it's a difficult line to figure out how to
- 41:13Speaker 3: walk of. There is an element of this job that
- 41:18Speaker 3: is information gathering. In order to get that information, you know,
- 41:22Speaker 3: there's certain things that you know go on, and I
- 41:26Speaker 3: just I feel like that's a difficult place that I
- 41:29Speaker 3: have found myself in at at times in terms of
- 41:33Speaker 3: you know, how friendly is too friendly in terms of,
- 41:37Speaker 3: you know, outside of a workplace type of thing. So
- 41:41Speaker 3: I think that that's a hard thing to do as
- 41:43Speaker 3: a reporter. If you want to be an insider, like,
- 41:46Speaker 3: you have to have a relationship with these people. They're
- 41:50Speaker 3: not going to just give you information for no reason, right,
- 41:54Speaker 3: and and so how they have to like you, right,
- 41:56Speaker 3: and so how do you go about doing that professionally?
- 42:00Speaker 3: I think can be can be hard, especially if you
- 42:03Speaker 3: know you're new.
- 42:05Speaker 1: To the business.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Or you know, something like that where you're trying to
- 42:08Speaker 3: break into it. It can be difficult, Like even to
- 42:11Speaker 3: this day, I I I don't know exactly.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Am I over you know, stepping? Am I not?
- 42:15Speaker 3: And it should I be here? Should I not be here?
- 42:18Speaker 3: Like that type of thing can be hard to navigate.
- 42:22Speaker 1: So like I think, I think RABA will have to
- 42:25Speaker 1: address it with the team, and I think that should
- 42:28Speaker 1: be the end of it, you know, unless it's stuff
- 42:30Speaker 1: we don't.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Know, but yeah, based on what we know, Yeah.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Let's go to Todd in North Carolina. What's up Todd?
- 42:39Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's a weird deep How about Melvin and Tennessee?
- 42:45Speaker 1: What's up Melvin? Sweet kids.
- 42:49Speaker 13: Going on?
- 42:49Speaker 10: How you doing pretty good? How about you good good?
- 42:55Speaker 10: A lot a lot happened since last time. But the
- 43:00Speaker 10: biggest thing I guess going into this draft I could
- 43:03Speaker 10: try to figure out is I guess this year it
- 43:06Speaker 10: was harder for them to kind of get a still
- 43:09Speaker 10: look for like a Benkie receiver. I guess somebody that
- 43:12Speaker 10: could get them out of you know, help him out
- 43:14Speaker 10: in situations where they got they got to get the
- 43:17Speaker 10: ball out fast. So I thought that was going to
- 43:19Speaker 10: be pop somebody that they can kind of rely on
- 43:23Speaker 10: in that situation from being there through those year see
- 43:26Speaker 10: that they struck, then they kind of go back to
- 43:28Speaker 10: he can kind of get in a proper role, maybe
- 43:30Speaker 10: being the third fourth receiver and he could help out
- 43:33Speaker 10: in that range. Maybe it's going to be because that
- 43:35Speaker 10: didn't really work out Tray Brian Henderson year two, UH
- 43:39Speaker 10: to probably set up some match up issues and now
- 43:42Speaker 10: that the line actually knows who's back and blocks, that
- 43:45Speaker 10: can probably help and develop it back because I think
- 43:48Speaker 10: they probably drafted him to especially be effected to past
- 43:52Speaker 10: receiving and plass blocking. So I don't know exactly what
- 43:56Speaker 10: that what that answer is going to be. Maybe chis
- 44:00Speaker 10: maybe they're trying to find somebody in the draft, but
- 44:02Speaker 10: just hopefully if they can find something as far as
- 44:06Speaker 10: because that was obit a lot of their issues in
- 44:08Speaker 10: the playoffs. But a banky receiver is somebody that can
- 44:11Speaker 10: kind of take the load off in those situations and
- 44:15Speaker 10: then Drake noticing that he's going to have to have
- 44:18Speaker 10: the ball out fast and getting it to that receiver
- 44:20Speaker 10: because sometimes I don't think he likes playing like that.
- 44:23Speaker 10: So it's gonna be a thing going forward. I hope
- 44:26Speaker 10: they can develop that Josh can get him better for
- 44:29Speaker 10: that in YouTube, and the next year when they have
- 44:31Speaker 10: that situation again, they'll be a lot better situated for that.
- 44:35Speaker 10: So that's why I'm looking heading to this draft. And
- 44:38Speaker 10: that's all I got. I'll talk to y'all later.
- 44:40Speaker 1: All right, Thanks Melvin.
- 44:42Speaker 3: I think they're hopeful that Romeo Dobbs is going to
- 44:44Speaker 3: be that guy. Yeah, that he's going to be third
- 44:47Speaker 3: and gutta have it, chain moving type of receiver in
- 44:51Speaker 3: the offense. I don't know if that's necessarily if they
- 44:55Speaker 3: trade for aj Brown, if they draft the receiver high.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I think that guy's their whole is going to be
- 45:00Speaker 3: the big play guy, you know, more explosive play type
- 45:03Speaker 3: of receiver versus you know, third and six, you know,
- 45:07Speaker 3: at the game on the line where you're going. I
- 45:10Speaker 3: think they are kind of hoping that that that Dobbs
- 45:12Speaker 3: is that kind of player that was supposed to be
- 45:14Speaker 3: Diggs last year and it was for you know, the
- 45:16Speaker 3: majority of the season.
- 45:17Speaker 4: So and I think that those are that's a good
- 45:19Speaker 4: distinction you make, like, because I think Melvin's talking about,
- 45:22Speaker 4: you know, the quick, get it out guy and then
- 45:25Speaker 4: the binky guy. I don't think those are the same thing.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I think they didn't really have a quick get it
- 45:29Speaker 4: out quick guy last year, but they had a Binkie
- 45:32Speaker 4: in Diggs. And I agree with Melvin. I don't think
- 45:36Speaker 4: Drake loves the idea of the quick get it out
- 45:40Speaker 4: because I think he likes to peruge to see do
- 45:42Speaker 4: I have a chance for something now? You know, got
- 45:46Speaker 4: to have it kind of you know, third and short,
- 45:49Speaker 4: fourth and one, fourth and two, we're going for it. Yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 4: the quick get it out guy is that's that's all
- 45:54Speaker 4: your goal is, just to get the first down. But
- 45:57Speaker 4: I don't think he likes to just get it out quick.
- 46:00Speaker 4: I think it you know, we we did think it
- 46:02Speaker 4: was going to be Douglas. I think it's as much
- 46:04Speaker 4: to do with Drake as it is with Douglas that
- 46:07Speaker 4: it's not it didn't work out that way because I
- 46:11Speaker 4: don't think he loves to play that way. I don't
- 46:12Speaker 4: think he wants to have a hundred completions.
- 46:14Speaker 1: He's going to need to learn though, that you got
- 46:16Speaker 1: to take that sometimes you got to do it. Yeah,
- 46:20Speaker 1: it will help you do the big thing down the
- 46:23Speaker 1: road if you do that.
- 46:24Speaker 4: Todd to argue with his down the road I performance
- 46:28Speaker 4: last year.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I think like the issues that they had, especially
- 46:33Speaker 3: if you just want to point to the super Bowl
- 46:34Speaker 3: because they won the other games, you know, to point
- 46:36Speaker 3: to me, the issues in the super Bowl were protection based, right,
- 46:40Speaker 3: you know they they they weren't either not blocking the
- 46:43Speaker 3: right people or they weren't blocking the people they were
- 46:45Speaker 3: supposed to block, you know, executing correctly. I didn't look
- 46:48Speaker 3: at the Super Bowl as he needs a binky, like,
- 46:51Speaker 3: I don't think I don't think that.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Do you think that having a quick outlet can sometimes
- 46:57Speaker 1: mitigate a team that's bringing the heat in theory?
- 47:01Speaker 14: Sure?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I just didn't.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I thought that game Seattle took their protections down, and
- 47:06Speaker 3: I don't think that they had as many answers available
- 47:09Speaker 3: to them that they would hopefully have moving forward.
- 47:12Speaker 4: It's probably everything, you know. It's like, were there a
- 47:16Speaker 4: couple of opportunities that the receivers were available, Drake didn't
- 47:19Speaker 4: get it to him quick enough.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Probably.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Were there a couple of examples that Drake didn't see
- 47:23Speaker 4: the guys that made themselves available quickly, probably, And then
- 47:26Speaker 4: there were a million examples of what Evan's talking about
- 47:29Speaker 4: where it just broke down so fast, you know, but
- 47:32Speaker 4: all it takes is you know, a couple of plays
- 47:36Speaker 4: and maybe you can affect the way the other team's
- 47:38Speaker 4: calling the game. Yeah, you know, if you can, if
- 47:41Speaker 4: you can beat him a couple of times, you know,
- 47:42Speaker 4: And we saw Brady do that a million times.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean there are definitely times where you know,
- 47:47Speaker 3: he had opportunities. But you know, for whatever reason, a
- 47:51Speaker 3: lot of the game plan against Seattle was to try
- 47:53Speaker 3: to throw deep against the pressure and just you know,
- 47:56Speaker 3: because they were going to have the one on one
- 47:58Speaker 3: matchups down the field if they were bringing all this
- 48:00Speaker 3: heat and they just didn't have enough time. And I
- 48:03Speaker 3: think what we've heard, you know, Douce and I have
- 48:05Speaker 3: talked about this is just you know, they think that
- 48:08Speaker 3: he's going to take a next step, and you're two
- 48:10Speaker 3: in this system of being able to set protections and
- 48:14Speaker 3: see things and get things adjusted so that hopefully next
- 48:17Speaker 3: time around against Seattle. You know, a team like Seattle,
- 48:20Speaker 3: they have more answers to the test pre snap and
- 48:23Speaker 3: you'll have more solutions to those types of problems. And
- 48:26Speaker 3: maybe some of that is you know, I'm talking more schematic.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Maybe some of that is having a receiver that gets
- 48:31Speaker 3: open quick underneath. But I think it's probably more on
- 48:35Speaker 3: the schematic side.
- 48:36Speaker 1: So Todd's phone call got cut off for some reason,
- 48:39Speaker 1: but he said said sorry for the drop call. Missus
- 48:44Speaker 1: is going through a job search and needed the phone.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, we only have one phone. Yeah that's
- 48:50Speaker 1: kind of weird these days, right, Yeah. Like I have
- 48:56Speaker 1: a landline in my house. I have not used it
- 48:58Speaker 1: since in six years that you said that I still have.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm a dinosaur too, I still have a landline. I
- 49:03Speaker 1: have a rotary phone, so I.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Haven't had a landline.
- 49:05Speaker 4: I actually picked it up the other day.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I was like, yes, can you connect me with TL
- 49:10Speaker 1: for benson Hurst.
- 49:13Speaker 4: I had one hundred and one voicemails on the phone
- 49:19Speaker 4: on the landline. I just I spent like twenty minutes
- 49:21Speaker 4: and I just cleared them a lot, and almost all
- 49:24Speaker 4: of them are like the rotoo calls, like you know
- 49:27Speaker 4: in town.
- 49:28Speaker 1: I don't even know the number of my landline. I
- 49:30Speaker 1: honestly don't know what number it is.
- 49:33Speaker 2: I have so many land like friends, landlines memorized in
- 49:36Speaker 2: my head from yeah when you had to do it
- 49:38Speaker 2: that way?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah that friend?
- 49:40Speaker 4: Hey, can Morgan play to? I? Think Box Cecil Cooper.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Landlines are coming back for people who have like middle
- 49:47Speaker 2: school age children and don't want to get their kids
- 49:49Speaker 2: a phone, but they're like, hey, I still want you
- 49:51Speaker 2: to be able to talk to your friends. So they're
- 49:53Speaker 2: bringing back the old fashioned.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Landlord that I remember.
- 49:55Speaker 3: It was a big deal. And my sister got my
- 49:58Speaker 3: dad added like a second lot and yeah, like with her, yeah,
- 50:05Speaker 3: it was like a big deal because she would always
- 50:07Speaker 3: hog up the freaking main phone line.
- 50:10Speaker 2: My cousin jen really popular girl, a lot of friends.
- 50:15Speaker 2: My my cousin was so annoyed with her friends calling
- 50:19Speaker 2: all the time that he changed the phone number on
- 50:22Speaker 2: her and didn't tell his daughter the phone number so
- 50:26Speaker 2: she couldn't stuff.
- 50:29Speaker 1: So anyway, Todd says, previously we passed uh to set
- 50:33Speaker 1: up the run with Drake's long ball pro style, will
- 50:36Speaker 1: we be running to set up the pass or will
- 50:39Speaker 1: we be in a situational offense with calls evolving throughout
- 50:43Speaker 1: the game. Whichever way the approaches are there offensive players
- 50:46Speaker 1: better suited to the Patriots available with the first pick.
- 50:51Speaker 1: So he's saying that previously we passed to set up
- 50:55Speaker 1: the run, will we now be running to set up
- 50:57Speaker 1: the pass and are there players suited for that.
- 51:02Speaker 4: I would have to see them run the ball with
- 51:04Speaker 4: any degree of consistency for the first time, in my
- 51:07Speaker 4: view for a long long time before I ever would
- 51:10Speaker 4: think that they're a run to set up the past team.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Maybe they will be. I know, like the personnel moves
- 51:15Speaker 4: sort of you know, you know, a big, powerful guard, yeah,
- 51:18Speaker 4: full back, blocking, tight end, like, yeah, certainly the personnel moves.
- 51:24Speaker 4: I understand why Todd's asking the question. I look at them,
- 51:27Speaker 4: Drake May is your best asset the ball?
- 51:30Speaker 1: Yep, Yeah, I don't know.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I would imagine that those things ebb and flow depending
- 51:36Speaker 3: on how defenses are playing, you game plans, you know,
- 51:40Speaker 3: matchups like I don't.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Know if I would hope they're flexible.
- 51:43Speaker 3: I don't know if teams like go into a season
- 51:45Speaker 3: saying like we're going to pass to run, you know, like,
- 51:48Speaker 3: I don't know if that's necessarily no, but you know,
- 51:52Speaker 3: with Drake May's year last year, you know, especially if
- 51:55Speaker 3: they get a J Brown or an impressive rookie receiver
- 51:58Speaker 3: or something in here, and I would assume that teams
- 52:00Speaker 3: are going to be more concerned about them throwing the
- 52:02Speaker 3: ball going into next season, and then maybe that opens.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Up the run game.
- 52:07Speaker 4: You know, just is a continuation of passing to set
- 52:11Speaker 4: up the run.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Yeah, let's see. But more importantly, about Evan's car inspection,
- 52:18Speaker 1: Travis says, I presume the car inspection guy was fearful
- 52:21Speaker 1: that Evan was a narc because Evan gives off that vibe. Also,
- 52:26Speaker 1: I find it odd that anyone would lease a car.
- 52:28Speaker 1: It's such an Evan move. A lot of people least cars.
- 52:33Speaker 4: I can't you now, I can't can't because our commute
- 52:36Speaker 4: is too long, Alex, forget about it. You wouldn't even
- 52:38Speaker 4: be able to spell lease.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Yet makes a lot of sense.
- 52:44Speaker 4: You almost always have a new car.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Depends what you value.
- 52:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Evaluate I love having a paid off car. That's just
- 52:57Speaker 2: me to reliable. I'm not putting money into nothing just
- 53:01Speaker 2: to trade it back in and then keep doing it again. Yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 2: I love not having car payment. It's the greatest thing
- 53:07Speaker 2: in the world. But that's me.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I think, you know, I've always, not always, And
- 53:15Speaker 3: my very first car was at two hundred thousand miles
- 53:17Speaker 3: on it and it was a purchased car when I
- 53:19Speaker 3: was sixteen and a half. But uh, you know, along
- 53:22Speaker 3: with you don't typically have as many mechanical issues with
- 53:26Speaker 3: a newer car, so you're also not always on the
- 53:29Speaker 3: hook for fixing all of them. If it's under a
- 53:31Speaker 3: lease and there's warranties and things like that that you
- 53:34Speaker 3: might be covered, you know, like wearables like my tires
- 53:36Speaker 3: I had to pay for. But if there's like a
- 53:38Speaker 3: mechanical link engine problem or something like that, then that
- 53:42Speaker 3: might be covered under a warranty.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Do any of you have those things that are they
- 53:47Speaker 1: advertise them everywhere like shield, the car insurance stuff, you know,
- 53:53Speaker 1: after warranty car insurance that you get for repairs. I
- 53:57Speaker 1: don't you see it everywhere? All these apps? Yeah?
- 53:59Speaker 6: Yeah, my my father's not a big believer in those.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of scammy.
- 54:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't have that.
- 54:06Speaker 3: But a lot of if when you lease the car,
- 54:08Speaker 3: a lot of places have you know, bumper to bumper warranties.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, obviously if breaks tires. But this is
- 54:16Speaker 1: like if you had the car for six years, you've
- 54:18Speaker 1: paid it off, it's out of warranty. Sure, you can
- 54:20Speaker 1: buy these these plans that will pay for major repairs,
- 54:25Speaker 1: and you know, yeah, you have to pay every month
- 54:28Speaker 1: into it. Yes, it's insurance. Yeah, I think that.
- 54:30Speaker 3: You know, the other nowadays like the least uh, you know,
- 54:35Speaker 3: deals are terrible, like really since COVID's I would say, but.
- 54:39Speaker 1: What I don't understand that leasing is, oh, they give
- 54:42Speaker 1: you the price on TV. It's like, you know, to
- 54:45Speaker 1: eighty a month. But then in the fine print six
- 54:47Speaker 1: thousand up front. Like, if I'm leasing a car, why
- 54:50Speaker 1: am I giving you six thousand dollars six?
- 54:52Speaker 2: You might as well buy the car, right.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Well, you could buy the car in the end, right,
- 54:56Speaker 3: So like if you put the six thousand dollars down
- 54:59Speaker 3: and then you pay the least payment and at the
- 55:01Speaker 3: end you get you know, the car is now worth
- 55:03Speaker 3: sixteen thousand dollars or whatever the heck it's worth. You know,
- 55:06Speaker 3: So there's a I don't know if I'll do this,
- 55:08Speaker 3: but at the end of my lease, like you could
- 55:10Speaker 3: then take that to a bank and you could get
- 55:13Speaker 3: a loan.
- 55:15Speaker 1: To own the car.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Now you would have a loan payment to own the car,
- 55:18Speaker 3: but it would probably be a lot less than what
- 55:20Speaker 3: a new least payment would be. Sure, so you could
- 55:23Speaker 3: do that sort of thing and then eventually, when you know,
- 55:25Speaker 3: you pay off the loan then now you own.
- 55:27Speaker 2: The car, it's a depreciating asset, so like as soon
- 55:31Speaker 2: as you drive it off the lot. It's so I
- 55:33Speaker 2: can see, if you're a type of person that you
- 55:35Speaker 2: value having a nice new car, great, like, go for it.
- 55:38Speaker 2: But if you want to drive it till the wheels
- 55:41Speaker 2: fall off.
- 55:42Speaker 6: I think as until the wheels fall off.
- 55:44Speaker 2: If you're gonna buy a new car just to get
- 55:46Speaker 2: rid of it in a few years, like that makes
- 55:48Speaker 2: no sense to me.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Yeah, as the son of a car guy, I think
- 55:51Speaker 3: that my dad's argument has always been in terms of leasing,
- 55:55Speaker 3: is the expense that it is to fix up a
- 55:57Speaker 3: car that you own, and those expenses just add up
- 56:02Speaker 3: over the course of time, and then if something major
- 56:03Speaker 3: happens to the car, then you're really.
- 56:06Speaker 2: How much money, like how often and how much money
- 56:08Speaker 2: are you having to put into your car?
- 56:10Speaker 1: Well, nowadays money Back in my day when I was like,
- 56:13Speaker 1: that was more of an issue because cars would break down,
- 56:16Speaker 1: you know, oil leaks and you know, you know gaskets
- 56:20Speaker 1: and all that stuff. But nowadays these cars are made
- 56:23Speaker 1: pretty well. They don't really break down that much.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Like if I need to put lemon, if I need
- 56:28Speaker 2: to put a thousand dollars into my car to get
- 56:30Speaker 2: something repaired and it's paid off. That's still less money
- 56:34Speaker 2: to me than.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Make less than one hundred a month. I get it.
- 56:40Speaker 3: I've had this argument with people with my entire life,
- 56:42Speaker 3: my tired adult Like.
- 56:45Speaker 2: You drive a Volkswagon, those are expensive to fix, so
- 56:48Speaker 2: like and so if you have a Volkswagon, that makes sense.
- 56:51Speaker 3: If you have a car foreign cars, you know, especially,
- 56:54Speaker 3: But you know, a lot of these things I think
- 56:56Speaker 3: are come down to like, you know, obviously he works
- 56:59Speaker 3: with people that whose job it is to fix the cars,
- 57:02Speaker 3: and he knows that side of it pretty well, and
- 57:05Speaker 3: how expensive that side of it can get from you know,
- 57:08Speaker 3: a part standpoint, a labor standpoint, that sort of thing.
- 57:13Speaker 1: You know.
- 57:13Speaker 3: So those are things that you take into account. Also,
- 57:16Speaker 3: it's nice to have a new car every four years,
- 57:18Speaker 3: you know, three four years. It's just nice to have
- 57:21Speaker 3: it's fun.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Nothing like that new car smell.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Yeah, So Alex catching some strays, uh, you know after
- 57:27Speaker 4: Evan's story, Yeah, you would have been.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't have the small it's a small business
- 57:35Speaker 3: and ever, and I didn't want to.
- 57:36Speaker 6: I didn't want to out them. It was probably just a.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Well you guys remember my story last spring and it
- 57:41Speaker 2: was a major company. I didn't air them out.
- 57:44Speaker 4: People Alex would have had had the guy's name out there,
- 57:47Speaker 4: and I was like, that's the opposite of what he
- 57:48Speaker 4: actually did.
- 57:50Speaker 2: And like I have grievances with people in places and
- 57:52Speaker 2: things like almost every day of my life, and I've
- 57:55Speaker 2: never been like, I've never been the type of person
- 57:57Speaker 2: to be like tweeting out an airline because I got
- 58:00Speaker 2: screwed over.
- 58:01Speaker 4: You know, Like I I love the NFL writers that
- 58:04Speaker 4: have to tell us about their files and tribulations in
- 58:07Speaker 4: the airport.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Jonathan in South Carolina, I'm tired of this AJ
- 58:12Speaker 1: Brown draft stuff. So I think it's been almost a
- 58:14Speaker 1: month in time for a Fred Pillow review with his
- 58:17Speaker 1: new pillow, I hope you've been enjoying it and got
- 58:19Speaker 1: your money's it's I I really do enjoy the pillow,
- 58:23Speaker 1: but it's hard to describe. It's soft yet firm. It's
- 58:27Speaker 1: almost like the air in it, but there's not any it's.
- 58:32Speaker 1: It's it's a good pillow. It's but it's hard to
- 58:35Speaker 1: describe it in words. You have to just experience for yourself.
- 58:40Speaker 2: So no buyer's remorse no satisfied.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Yeah, have you had it for about three weeks? I
- 58:46Speaker 1: would say, yeah, so it's it's a different type of
- 58:50Speaker 1: pillow than I've ever had. It's not you know, memory foam.
- 58:55Speaker 1: It's not a down pillow or just lay tag. I
- 59:00Speaker 1: don't even know what's in it. It's weird. Yeah, for
- 59:07Speaker 1: three weeks.
- 59:07Speaker 4: One of those weeks he was on vacation.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Right, Well, no, I but I took out a week
- 59:13Speaker 1: from vacation. But it does the trick very comfortable, you know,
- 59:19Speaker 1: gets in there in the nook, so that you know
- 59:22Speaker 1: you're you're not craning your neck to sleep.
- 59:28Speaker 4: A huge pill so giant pillar.
- 59:32Speaker 1: We'll see, you know, like over time, maybe I still
- 59:35Speaker 1: might be in the market for the pillow.
- 59:37Speaker 2: See this month, check in, Yeah, see how it holds up?
- 59:41Speaker 1: All right, But other people do want to talk about
- 59:45Speaker 1: the draft, and uh, we will do that right after
- 59:49Speaker 1: we take this break.

- 1:02:23Speaker 17: just a little over one week out.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Finally. I know it seems a little shorter this year
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: because we were at the super Bowl, so it wasn't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: was it. Did you get through it all right?
- 1:02:31Speaker 17: I mean this process of the draft, you feel like
- 1:02:33Speaker 17: you've gotten a handle on this class.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I think I'm there now, you know.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: I had a little panic set in when I started
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: working on the draft because of how late of a
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: start we got, but that caused me to like really
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: cram even more. I feel like, into a short period
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: of time. So we're in a good spot now. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: think we got a feel for the thing. Mike, I'm
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: goa for it.
- 1:02:51Speaker 17: We got Paul here, Paul someone who's used to picking
- 1:02:53Speaker 17: near the bottom of the first round.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: The rest of us were like, hey, where's our top
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: five pick? But paulish, this is familiar territory for you.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: I'm justcribed they didn't decided to push the draft back
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: because Evan wasn't quite prepared yet.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I'm getting there.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: I saw have like maybe like eight guys that I
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: really need to get to over the next week.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: But We're Yeah, it is challenging a little bit, and
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: I can only imagine, you know, in real life in
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: other words, the actual personnel department.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Other people that matter.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: You mean, you know, and you know, and it's the
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: coaches because the scouts obviously are doing all their work
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: all year round, regardless of the the caliber of the team.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: It's the coaches and whatnot that are getting caught up
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: to all the information. So yeah, it's a little bit
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: of a different dynamic. Belichick used to sort of quote
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: unquote complain about it, and and Vrabel has been the
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: same way. You know, they're playing catch up, but at
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: this point you caught up.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: I think you rely a lot on your Elliot Wolf
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: was talking at his predraft press conference about the coaches list, So,
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: like the board kind of goes through the scouts and
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: goes through the personnel people that have been focused on
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: the draft, and then they only really give the try
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: to give the coaches like a refined list of here's
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: like eight to ten guys at your position that we
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: want you to watch, instead of here's fifty at your
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: position that you want you watch. So you rely a
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: lot on you know, those scouts to get the list
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: down to a comfortable limit. And then he mentioned that
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: Mike Rabel has taken all of the play the lists
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: for the position coaches, and he's watched every single position,
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: whereas maybe if you're Ashton Grant, you're only watching Day
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: three quarterbacks.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Two quarterbacks. Yeah, right, like it.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: So your job might be a little bit easier than
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Doug Moron, who might have to watch fifty offensive linemen.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we're about uti square. If you landed here with
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: this draft, how do you feeling? It's not my favorite draft.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I thought it was going to be edge, but the
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: past couple of days I think they're trading out of
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: the first round. I just think it's one of those
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: draft where you try to get depth, and I don't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: think we're gonna get a pick at thirty one. Personally,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think it's crazy.
- 1:04:46Speaker 17: When we've talked about a little bit, Paul, if they
- 1:04:47Speaker 17: just traded down a little bit, I mean, you lose
- 1:04:49Speaker 17: that fifth year option, but maybe you pick up, you know,
- 1:04:51Speaker 17: another Day two pick.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: I don't hate it. Generally, I'm anti trading down, but
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: this draft, this class, I think Matista's right. I don't
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: think gets you know, stocked with a bunch of can't
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: miss starting caliber players. So if the right opportunity presents itself,
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: Now the big question is I think in regard to
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: that is Ty Simpson does he sort of entice someone
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: to move into the bottom of the first round to
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: go get him, you know, and then we'll find out
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: you'll find.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: Out there's always that mini run of wide receivers usually
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: late first round, early second round receivers too.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: That would be the only other spot.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Now, I know Patriots fans hear me say that, and
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: like they're gonna trade out of a wide receiver pick
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: like that.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Let's not do that again.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: But Ty Simpson or you know, if they're not in
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: love with like a Denzel Boston, you know, or someone
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: like that, and they end up, you know, having a
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: team that's maybe picking at the top of the second
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: round that really likes Denzel Boston, then you could see
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: that sort of thing. You don't really see trade ups
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: for like non premium player positions like that, like a
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: guard or something like that.
- 1:05:56Speaker 17: All right, it's time now for our final positional preview
- 1:05:59Speaker 17: here of the twenty two twenty six draft season.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: We're talking tight ends and running backs.
- 1:06:03Speaker 17: Two positions i'd say have very different probably levels of
- 1:06:06Speaker 17: need for the Patriots. We should kick things off del
- 1:06:08Speaker 17: Chris running backs and like that, did you set us up.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: A little bit? We got you know, Remandre Traveon Henderson. Yeah,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and we got a full back too.
- 1:06:15Speaker 18: What do you think of the You got a couple
- 1:06:17Speaker 18: full backs, You got Jack Westover, you.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Got Reggie Gilliam west Over, Maddenson in brock Lampy, right,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: brock Lamby too, of course could come back.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: I mean Patriots.
- 1:06:27Speaker 18: I think the Patriots are stacked at full back right now.
- 1:06:30Speaker 18: But the running back room, I mean you might want
- 1:06:33Speaker 18: to add a.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Little bit of depth.
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: I mean, you got both guys.
- 1:06:36Speaker 18: Uh, you know, you don't know what direction you're gonna
- 1:06:40Speaker 18: go here with the draft. I mean could be looking
- 1:06:42Speaker 18: like more of a Day three sort of area for
- 1:06:45Speaker 18: the Patriots.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: A flyer, Yeah, gonna be a flyer.
- 1:06:48Speaker 17: But yeah, right crazy because I do kind of have
- 1:06:52Speaker 17: like a little bit of something I like with the
- 1:06:54Speaker 17: running backs right now. And I just kind of like
- 1:06:55Speaker 17: like the the five eight two twenty pound like the
- 1:06:58Speaker 17: bowling balls, Like I want some short yard. I think
- 1:07:01Speaker 17: that's maybe a role that I could see at the
- 1:07:03Speaker 17: running back position. Maybe taking a guy like all right,
- 1:07:05Speaker 17: he's never going to be an every down Belkow kind
- 1:07:07Speaker 17: of a guy. But if we need one yard, this
- 1:07:10Speaker 17: compact little guy is going to be able to get
- 1:07:12Speaker 17: it for us.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I'm just talking specific types though.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Okay, all right, well I have one name in mind
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: for you with that description. But I have to say
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: this first. This is the worst running back class I've
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: ever seen. And I'm saying that as the in the
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: nicest possible way. But I've been covering the draft since
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: twenty seventeen. I have not seen a running back class
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: that as bad before. Besides Jeremiah Love, this is a
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: rough group, and especially when you compare it to the
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: group last year, which was absolutely stacked at this position.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Like we're talking about a group last year that had
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: like Cam Skataboo as like the tenth or eleventh best
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: running back in the entire class. Cam Scataboo might be
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: the second best running back in this class. You know,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: Love is an elite prospect. You know, he's a blue chipper,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: maybe the best player in the draft. But after that
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: it gets rough. And his teammate from Notre Dame is
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: not bad, and Mike Washington from Arkansas.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Okay, but then you start to kinda you know, get.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Into some some dreads, some dark times with this running
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: back class. You guys know how much I love the draft.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: I slocked through this group of running backs. I couldn't
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: It was that bad.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: That being said, there are a couple of guys, you know,
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: I think specifically you're looking for a third running back
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: that maybe has a skill set to either do deuce
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: his thing like short yardage or catch some passes out
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: of the backfield. And I think a big thing too
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: for the Patriots is going to be kickoff return ability
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: because as that third running back, whether it was Terrell
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: Jennings or Dearnest Johnson or whoever Antonio Gibson, that third
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: running back was a primary kickoff returner for this team
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: last year. So that spot's gonna be involved in returning kicks. So,
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: you know, Diamont Clayboard, Adam Randall, you know, players like
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: that that can do that, I think are gonna have
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: some value to the Patriots. But if there's some guys
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: that you guys like, I'm not saying don't like them.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I'm just telling you that this is not a good grit.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I mean, let's talk a little bit about Jeremiah Love too,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: just at the top, because he ran with a four
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: to three six. I mean, he's just an absolute beast.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: He's going to come in and change a team.
- 1:09:09Speaker 17: I know, I've seen you know less so with the
- 1:09:10Speaker 17: Kansas City thing lately in the Mack Draft.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: But you know, some team's gonna he's one of.
- 1:09:14Speaker 17: Those backs that's worth a first round pick, and then
- 1:09:16Speaker 17: what are we going to the third round before the
- 1:09:18Speaker 17: next guy gets picked?
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Maybe?
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you know, his teammate there at Notre
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Dame and Mike Washington, I think probably have a chance
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: to go top seventy five, top hundred. But you know
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: it's it's slim pickens, you know, after Jeremiah Love, He's uh,
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: he's a great player. And you know, we've had some
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: great running backs the last handful of years, and you
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: know Ashton Genty and uh Bijon and Jamier Gibbs and
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: you know, players of that caliber.
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: And I think that he's right in.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: That category with like you know, Saquon Bijon Genty, true
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: blue chip elite prospects. You know, the running back value.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: We did this with gent last year. Where does that ball?
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: Genty ended up going six to the Raiders. So you know,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: maybe that's where his ceiling is. I think the Titans
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: have to link long and hard about it too. Where
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: they're picking those so they're four right if I'm mistaken.
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: So maybe maybe Tennessee.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: We find that reached seventh breaking point and now great
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: moments in history. Interesting. I want to check out this
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: collar on the at Hotline, Roger, I thought you were
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: going with sweet Rogers and Foxborough. What's up, Roger?
- 1:10:34Speaker 12: Are you guys done?
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: It's Andy Hart.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: We haven't heard from you since the preseason.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: We were just about to talk about fullback stances. We didn't. Yeah,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: three point stances. Verreus.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: You know you take a wide stance with Bill yesterday talk.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: You know that's my take a little wide stance with
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: Bill though. Yeah, I imagine.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Unfortunately that's the question you asked. That's another great moment.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: All right? Backhanra on Patriots So Filtered eight five to
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: five past five hundred is the Hotline podcast at Patriots
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: dot com is the email address? Fill in North Carolina
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: tells me, I didn't mention what pillow it is. I
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: think it's called living healthy. Pillow living healthy.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: He's looking at you so much in the newsletter.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Something like that. I think it's living healthy. And then
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I think the company might be Healthy Sleep or something like.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: That, Healthy Sleep cool Tech, something.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: Something like Alex is now an expert on side sleeping pillows.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: You have your spreadsheets for your draft guys, Alex has
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: the spreadsheet for Fred's pillow.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: It's like when a player gets hurt with an injury
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: and then you act like you do all the research
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: and now you're an expert on like Achilles tears.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: The healthy Sleep full Tech high profile pillow. That's it
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: specialized cooling pillow and design primarily for side sleepers and
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: individuals with larger body types who require significant support and
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: temperature regulation.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta say it's it's like I said, it's
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: very hard to describe pillow. You just have to test
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: it for yourself. And when I took it out of
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: the but like it come you know, it comes compressed,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: you know, and you take the plastic off and then
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: it like uh. When I first took it out and
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I was feeling I'm like, this isn't what I wanted,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and I was I was ready to send it back,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: but then I started using it and it's like, oh, okay,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: this is okay. But just feeling it, I was like,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: this is too flimsy, but it's sort of I don't know,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: it gained.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Air and it I'm not, well, it's like the mattresses
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: that come in the box. It's like, how did you
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: get this thing so compressed?
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: And then they memory foam or latex.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: It's yeah, is usually are either one.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: Of those that came in like a box.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: It was like rolled up, unrolled it, and then like
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: a day later, next morning we woke up and it
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: was it was a mattress ready.
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: I was like, this is crazy.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: But it took a day. I would I would say,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: probably like we so maybe that was the overnight pillow.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: And I was looking for like instructions like what to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: expect or anything, and there was nothing, like nothing that
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: would tell you have to wait, you know, like some
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: of these things you have to put it in the dryer.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: But there was nothing like that. So I'm like, this
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: isn't good.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: When I thought it was like did you just buy
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: like a mattress topper, Like this is an actual mattress
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: And the next thing you knew, you know, maybe I
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: don't know, probably the next morning, like probably overnight.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: And but how long would do those kind of mattresses
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: hold up? I don't know.
- 1:13:46Speaker 6: I have to ask him. He still has the same.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Kind of a box. I've had it, oh my god,
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: probably like seven years.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: And still you're you're you're a little thing.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: You know, thank you.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: You know, like if you're if you've got some heft
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: to you and you know, like these mattresses don't hold
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: up anything like they used to.
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: Put some money into a mattress to that. They're expensive,
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: but it's worth it.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so for that you'll pay money.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Mattresses, Couches, those are things like couches. Have a nice mattress.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Yeah, by once cry Once does.
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: She has a saying, a pithy saying for everything.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Barton Poland, I'm absolutely with Evans. I'm absolutely with Evan
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: with picking premium positions in the first round, especially at
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the top. The best example is running back. Let's say
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: that Jeremiah Love goes number four to Tennessee, which is
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: very common mock landing spot from him. He'll get twelve
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: million a year, fully guaranteed. Twelve million is basically what
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the best running backs and this year's free agency class
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: cut and their contracts aren't fully guaranteed. Let's say you
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: draft Reuben Bayin at the same spot, he becomes a
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: very good edge, A very good but not elite edge
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: just got thirty million a year in free agency. That's
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: a huge difference. So by picking non premium positions at
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: the very top of the draft, you're not getting any
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: reward of them being on a rookie contract, even if
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: they work out at thirty one. However, you're getting more
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: flexibility as it's basically only a four million a year contract.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I said that yesterday on Catch twenty two.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: And of course you get the people that pushed back
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, so Barry Sanders was in the draft,
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: he wouldn't draft him, And it's like, obviously, if you
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: know Barry Sanders was in the draft, then you know
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: I'd probably think about drafting him.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: Yeah, but like in this draft, I probably would. It
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: wouldn't be a no brainer for me in every draft.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: But just as a as a rule of thumb, I
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: said that if I was a GM, I would stick
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: to drafting the premium positions because of what Bart just
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: laid out.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Running back used to be a premium position years ago.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: But like I was saying, like I would not draft guards,
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: I would not draft running backs. I would not draft
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: run stuffing defensive tackles, you know, I would not draft
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: those types of players because of the financial aspect that
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: bart right.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: It's an interesting way of looking at it.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Absolutely, Brendan and Edmonton says Fred, correct me if I'm wrong,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: But is that shirt salmon not pink?
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Lavender?
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Lavender?
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: I'm not good with colors lavender. I think I'm like
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: slightly colorblind.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: It's definitely not.
- 1:16:24Speaker 13: Man, are.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: Right color a little bit?
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: Like if you have I can tell that this is
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: blue and that's green and whatever, but like different.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: Shades, you just went with whatever.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I would say, that's forrest green, right, I.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Say forest is a little darker. That's almost the sage.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: Sage green almost the stage Okay, yeah, like the different.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Darker than the Sage that monster. Yeah there you classic navy.
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Like you know, like when things are like dark
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: dark green, like a forest, like that looks black to me,
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Like that's just flat out black.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: So you're a little color blind a little bit. Yeah.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: I found that men are really bad with color theory
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: when we came out with the Rivalry jerseys and I
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: had to create that swatch because everyone was like, it's
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: like Carolina Blue. It's like the Titans Colors. No it's not. No,
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: it's very different.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: It's storm Blue. Tyler says, draft talk is exhausting. So
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I have a few eighties theme would you rather questions
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: me and Paul should do well here. Would you rather
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: be a Ghostbuster or a member of the A Team?
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I'm going to Ghostbuster really.
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: Ghostbusters because I didn't watch the A Team, so I
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: don't really know exactly.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: What A team was. A bunch of hard someone you
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: know that.
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: I know what. I know what the show is. I
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: just didn't watch it. A bunch of heart os, so
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: I don't really know exactly what they did. They we
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: made the eighteam like Magnum. I'd rather be Magdum.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: Okay, that's not it, but it was a similar time.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah, go on an adventure with Marty Fly or attend
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Ferris Bueller's day off Marty McFly.
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: I'm going Ferris Bueller, but you could do all of
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: that not in the Ferrari fair point, Yeah, okay.
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: Fair point.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Be a member of Talking Heads or Guns n' Roses,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: Guns n' Roses, guns n' Roses.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: I don't know Talking's sons and roses.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I'd say guns and roses, although talking haas I like better,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: but guns and roses seems to be more fun, if
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Slash be trapped in the
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: hotel with Jack from the Shining or have to get
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: back to Coney Island with the Warriors. The Warriors, Yeah,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: that's our Warriorsah, I don't want to be in the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: hotel with Jack.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: I saw the hotel that they filmed some of that
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: at I think the maze scene or something. And canny Bunkport,
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Maine beautiful.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Lots of lots of horror movies in Maine. See the
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: nineteen eighties miracle on ice hockey win over ussr live
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: or be at Game seven of the nineteen eighty four
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: NBA Finals with Boston.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: Beating La Miracle. Really game Yeah, I'd rather be the
- 1:19:09Speaker 4: greatest game as an argument that that's the greatest sporting
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: event of our lifetime. Really the gold medal, not the
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: gold medal beating the Russians.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Certainly the biggest upset. I don't know.
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: I don't I didn't watch the game from start to finish, ever,
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: so I couldn't tell you if it was the most.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Best page want me to ruin it for you.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: We win, he got killed and Jim Craig won the game, right.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: So, like, I don't know, like the nineteen eighty four finals,
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: Like just think about the players that are on the
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: court at the same time in a game like that.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: Like that's like, but that's the That's the greatest sporting
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: event of my lifetime. The US beating the Russians and
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: winning the gold two days later.
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: That's the other thing. It wasn't even the gold medal game.
- 1:19:54Speaker 14: No.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: See, when I was when I watch going on, it
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: was the I was the game had already happened. I knew.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I knew the result too, So how can M was.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: Like, all right, we got to bring it the bit
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: He was like, GM, I wonder who won?
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: But so then how does it become the greatest in
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: your lifetime?
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: It was the greatest sporting event of my lifetime.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: Absolutely, And if you see live getting ruined, huh, if
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: you see it live, it's not getting spoiled.
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean there was nothing that could spoil it
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: for me. No, I mean I was. I was right
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: in the wheelhouse too. I was twelve years old.
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we watched USA Canada on our way to the combine.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: This year, we were all on a plane and they
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: had Luckily the plane had TVs and we watched it,
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: and the whole when Jack Hughes scored, the whole plane erupted.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: It was actually pretty cool. I'll remember where I was
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: now because of that. It's fun.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: The cat jumped off my lap when I screamed when
- 1:20:50Speaker 4: Jack Hugh scored. It's all by myself.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: That's was at work. Yeah, I'd have to think long
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: and hard about what was the greatest sporting event of
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: my lifetime. Being impartial because like obviously two thousand and
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: one when the Patriots won the Super.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: Bowl Atlanta the Super Bowl, but like to look.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: At it generally and say, this was the you.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: Know that's in my.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Well, your hands down?
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: Why do you think he said the game seven for
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: the Celtics.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: And Lakers, right right? Okay, But I there's.
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: Nothing that was really special about that game if you
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: weren't a Boston fan.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: But I think, like from a a worldview, I think
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: in terms of Patriots Super Bowls, that twenty eight three
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: comeback was a better sporting event than two thousand and one. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I agree.
- 1:21:39Speaker 4: Two thousand and one.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: It was the first overtime in Super Bowl history, biggest
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: comeback drama. Yeah, that is true.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: I would say I don't know the fact that the
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Patriots were such big underdogs in two thousand and one
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: that's why that was a pretty high stan.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: And then again, looking at it impartially from a Bosses standpoint,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: coming back from three against the Yankees that had never
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: been done. No team had ever come back from three before.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: That's on my list too.
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's a that's a that's a series, right,
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: that's series harder, right, I mean, I don't know. Probably
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: the Dave Roberts Steel Game is the game that gets
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: held up on the pedestal for people. But they were
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: down to with Mori Vera on the mound, down to
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: their last strike. Yeah, and they you know, maybe the
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: greatest closer in the history of the game is pitching,
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: and they somehow won THEA.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: And then you know, again from a boss To standpoint,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that's seventy five. You guys are too old. But when
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Carlton Fist and Bernie Carbo, I mean that was an
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: unbelievable game. Did they win? I might follow falling asleep?
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: They kept having wake them up.
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: But what happened you know, after that.
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: Lost game seven. Yeah, so no, not on the list, No,
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: I know, but we're just talking about games, I know.
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: But the Red Sox people like, you know, we still
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: are like walking out the nineteen eighty six Red Sox
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: and for like a pregame ceremony, it's like, guys, we've
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: won four times since then, we can, we can.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Let's celebrate that teams that actually.
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: Won the World Series instead of the teams that famously
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: lost the World Series in choking Fast.
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I mean it's not even just that they lost Paul.
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: They lost in maybe the most embarrassing fashion that any
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: team has ever lost.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Believe I know, so not over yet, but like, like,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: if you were not looking at from a national journalist standpoint,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I'd have to think long and hard, what was the
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: greatest sporting event of the last fifty years?
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: I think three honestly on the list, even if you
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: don't have a dog in the fight, not to not
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: to quote Brady like wasn't really not even close? Why
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: too stressful with this?
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: No, Like the Seattle game was a way better game.
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: The twenty eight twenty four game much better game.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: I would put both.
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: And if we're talking about all games, not even in
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: my top ten.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: Wow, okay, just an event, like you're you're looking at
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: the way it was played.
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but that's what I'm talking about. No, No, I'm
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: talking about just like comeback itself is no question.
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: No.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I like the Patriots didn't necessarily play that well in
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: the first half, so like how it was played, okay,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: but like just as an event, like wow, what what
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: what just happened?
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: I like, you know when I'm talking about the games,
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: like I look at that Seattle Patriots Super Bowl. That's
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: why it's number one for me, is two really good teams,
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: both played really really well, and it was in the
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: great finally snot out of each other, and that play
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: at the end and the game ends there. Like the
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: twenty eight to three game, Atlanta played really really well
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: for three quarters and then decided they've never played football before,
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: and you came back and one because you have this
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: one unbelievable player who just refuses to lose games, and
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: it was one of the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: All the explanations that you guys say are all accurate,
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: but it wasn't that well played a game.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, in my mind, No, that's fair enough.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: But that's the beauty of sports to me, is it's
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: so subjective. That's that what could be.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: There's no doubt it is. I stopped it. It was
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Actually,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: I mean the Seattle game.
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: I say that because of what I saw at Landa
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: do That's the amazing part to me.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Somebody had to do the plays that the Patriots made.
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: And the game so let me drop back to past
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: three plays in.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: A row, sack to do what the Patriots did, you
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: need a guy.
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: That's why you're so you're conflicted.
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: The Seattle game, though, the two teams are definitely better,
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: like yeah, and they played better.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: That's why I put that they were also didn't play
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: all that well in the first game.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: I think Seattle.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: I think that the twenty fourteen Super Bowl to me
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: was the best two teams out of all ten Super Bowls.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: And I watched the Patriots play in like that. Those
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: were the two best teams in my opinion. Like the
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: amount of just talent on the field in that in
- 1:26:09Speaker 3: a game like that on both sides. Yeah, I mentioned
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: this a while ago, but like when you go watch
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: like the when they do the intros at the beginning
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: of the game, and they like go through the offense
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: and defense and you just see like just the amount
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: of talent like that both teams had on both sides
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: of the ball in that game.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: That game was, to Paul's point, like that was the
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: best football game, like the actual play on the field.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: Also, before that interception, like I came to terms with like, wow,
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: that sucks. Patriots just lost, Like that was really fun.
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: But interception happened.
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: We had like this weird like hex on us because
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: they obviously had lost twice to the Giants. Giants we
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: were in that decade, you know, it just like felt
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: like they couldn't they weren't going to ever win another one.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: Toally, you want to be completely impartial, I gotta put
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: the seven one in the list somewhere.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, Like I mean.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: If that's that's as surprised after a loss as I've
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: ever been defeated.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Team gets knocked off like that, you know again, looking
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: at it impartially, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fair. Definitely, So
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: all right, you just go.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: It's one of the most amazings everything.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I just stopped there. Well, I mean that's you know,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: a heart stop as they say, You've been lucky.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: A lot of the ones that have happened, I would
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: say in my lifetime, I post two thousands have involved
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: Boston teams, especially the Patriots.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Very fortunate.
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, like there's a couple of like NBA
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: Finals that I can think of.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Like, but that Kirk Gibson home run. I saw that
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: on TV. That was amazing.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: That was amazing. That's a category completely ripped up his hamstring.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: He was on a veil. It's the only, yeah play
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: that he played one app at in the whole World
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: Series and he basically won the World Series.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: That was I can't believe what I'm seeing type of thing.
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: Yeah, Paul Pierce going out on the wheelchair and coming
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: back to.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: No, No, that doesn't count. Now that's not on the list.
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: Just me, that's so cute.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: Okay, you're blessed and highly favored.
- 1:28:13Speaker 6: Yeah, just that's just a me thing.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: A right, uh, Sean and Ottawa right saying On Tuesday,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: there was a debate about how the Patriots need to
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: pick at thirty one to be in need that pick
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: to be an immediate impact. Can someone explain why they
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: need to be an immediate impact? They are rebuilding team
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: not a Super Bowl or bus team. Shouldn't they care
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: about picking a player who will have more of an
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: impact over five years instead of prioritizing immediate impact. For example,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: using a situation that might apply to this year's draft,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: wouldn't a tackle to replace Moses be better value over
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: five years than some of those edge players AVAILABLET thirty
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: one that might be too small to be in every
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: down rusher?
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: Okay, well if he stinks, then yeah, I was gonna say,
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: So the tackle is good and the edge rusher stinks, right,
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: so yes, give me the tackle, right, Yeah.
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: I would, But what if both are equally good?
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: I want the air rusher I think you'll play this year?
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: I would just slightly push back on the like they
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: are no longer rebuilding team like this is. They just
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: won fourteen games and played in.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: The Super Bowl. I don't think they're rebuilding either.
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: Like Drake may Is is going into year three and
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: was an MVP candidate last year, Like they should be
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: thinking like we are in a team that can compete.
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: I you know, and I understand that we all feel
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: like they weren't truly a super Bowl team last year,
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: but still they are a team that they.
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: Need to retool, and I don't think that when we
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: were talking about it on Tuesday, like the wording it's
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: you know, sometimes you should you know, you gotta choose
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: your words carefully. If if we said like it needs
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: to be an immediate impact player, I don't think that
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: probably is right with I think with Evan and I
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: because this is I think you and I are lockstep
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: on this. We feel like they need to look for
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: a player who can compete and play contribute right away.
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: I don't want to take a tackle for a red
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: shirt year for when Morgan Moses has gone next year, yep.
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: But if the tackle is a better player than the
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: guy I pick, I'll take the tackle even if he
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: doesn't play.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: This year, especially if the other guy stinks.
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: If he's a better player, I don't want a guy
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: who's not good just because he can play, right Like,
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: that's again you're back to the need you know, best
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: player available thing.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Ryan writes in really this is to Evan, who's
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: your favorite yack monster in this class? Is there any
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: chance they can land with the Patriots? I feel like
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: may could benefit from someone else on offense to create yards.
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: My favorite yack monster, uh Casey Concepcion for sure, I
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: think in the first round is probably the best.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: So Brugler says that he double clutches and has too
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: many drops.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: He does that he did have a very high drop
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: rate last year. I think that there's a school thought
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: some people think along my lines that when you operate
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: in those high traffic areas over the middle of the field,
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: maybe you know, hear in some footsteps every once in
- 1:31:06Speaker 3: a while, maybe getting a little bit uh, you know,
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: what we would call focus drops spread, you know, not
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: like the drops like you have bad hands, right, and
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: there's a difference between you have bad hands and then
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: like you're coming over the middle of the field, the
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: safety's coming down and you might alligate or arm one
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: over the middle, you know.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: So is that going on with him a little bit? Yeah?
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: I mean his drop rate last year was over ten percent.
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: It was an alarming number that you circle, you know,
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: on day two of his draft, I would say Skyler
- 1:31:31Speaker 3: Bell from Yukon is probably the best guy after the catch,
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: but Casey Concepcion, and in terms of the first round guys,
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: I mean, not only does he have speed and you
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: know in the open field, but also elusiveness with the
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: ball in his hands. You know, Omar Cooper Junior is
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: really good after the catch too. You know, I think
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: those two guys are probably the two best. You know,
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: Cooper Junior some people think is like a lad as
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: a ball carrier.
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: So those are your yeah, what did you once call
- 1:31:58Speaker 4: alligator arms lobster arms?
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: But I think there's a difference, right, like of having
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: like one one guy doesn't catch the ball well and
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: the other guy maybe could be a little bit more,
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: I don't know, tougher, you know, like over the middle
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: of the field.
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: I think there's a difference there because case he's uh,
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: you know, to contested catch numbers are.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: Actually pretty good. He just has some drops that are weird. Yeah,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: because I would I'd love to get that high volume
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: slot guy.
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: That those two guys in the first round, Cooper Junior
- 1:32:32Speaker 6: and Concepts.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: Because I just don't think it's a fit with the quarterback.
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: I don't think he wants to do that. I don't
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: think he wants to throw eighty five five yard crossing
- 1:32:42Speaker 4: roads to Julian Edelman. I don't think he wants to
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: do that.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: That really hurt the Patriots doing that.
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: Brady did want to do it. You see, you're making
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: it out to be like it's a it's an indictment
- 1:32:54Speaker 4: on the on the offense or the approach. For Tom Brady,
- 1:32:57Speaker 4: that was perfect, right, because the greatest quarter beck of
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: all time because he threw six hundred and fifty passes
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: a year exactly where he wanted them to go. Not
- 1:33:06Speaker 4: everybody does that.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Drake needs to get more accurate.
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: Yes, and and and before everybody comes at me with
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: the completion percentage, I'm talking about accuracy, not completions, right,
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: not the same thing. And I just think it's a
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: it's a mindset for him, it's a mentality. I don't
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: think he's like, yes, I don't think.
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: He likes to matriculate.
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: He doesn't really want to do that. Now, you can
- 1:33:32Speaker 4: make an argument he well, you better get in the
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: mood as Georgika Stanza once set, right, you better learn
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: how to do that because you're not gonna be able
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: to survive just throwing the ball downfield all the time
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: the way you did this year. Right, that's a good argument,
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: But I just don't think that that's something that really
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: fits with his skill set. It doesn't want to do it.
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: It took a little while for like a guy like
- 1:33:52Speaker 6: Josh Allen.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: What skill do you think you need to do that
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: other than mindset short level accuracy?
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, but like what he's talking about, like ball
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: not I don't think that's his strength.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: You know, you can't throw.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: If you're gonna throw those little ones over the middle,
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: you're gonna get there here not here because you're gonna.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: Get the guy killed. Yeah, well, got to get better
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: at that. I don't know.
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: I think if you throw the ball as well as
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: he does down the field again, is that.
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: That's a hard way to live?
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: Sometimes it is, and I would be curious to see
- 1:34:26Speaker 4: how it unfolds this year. They completed an astronomical percentage
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: of downfield throws last year that I would say that
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: most people watching the league would say that that's hard
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: to duplicate. Yeah, you know, it's like the defense that
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: creates you know, forty seven turnovers one year. Probably not
- 1:34:43Speaker 4: wise to rely on that thing.
- 1:34:45Speaker 3: I mean, just looking at some of the ones Kaishon
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: Booty made alone, like even in the playoffs against Houston
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: where he had a one handed touchdown pass against Derek Stingley,
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: Like you're not gonna.
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: Like nothing can nothing has to change on that play
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: for it to being complete the next time. You know,
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: like it was good protection, good throw, good route, got open,
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: but you know you don't make that difficult catching the
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: end zone.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I understand what your point is. I don't think
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: a lot of people play that way. I think Tom
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: Brady was able to play that way because he was
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: a little bit different. Yeah, I think it's a hard
- 1:35:19Speaker 4: way to sort of say, like we're going to go
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: twelve plays and score every time. I think that's a
- 1:35:23Speaker 4: hard way to Well, I don't know, but.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: If that's what they're giving, you take it and have
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: somebody who can take advantage of that in your receiving corps.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: I just wonder, like, I think there are a lot
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: of quarterbacks in today's league, especially that play more towards
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: Drake May's style, and all of them are really successful
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: doing it. So, I mean, I think you can make
- 1:35:44Speaker 3: the argument that Josh Allen has probably figured out the
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: balance of when to throw it down the field versus
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: when to take the stuff underneath. You know, I'm sure
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: having a guy like you know, Shakiir has helped in
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: that respect, but in general, like I think that that's
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: something that the turnovers well, not all the time, but
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: him being able to control turnover is a little bit
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: better compared to early on in his career came from
- 1:36:11Speaker 3: him probably taking less chances with the ball down the field.
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: I would even say, you know, Kansas City, their offenses
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: trending in the wrong direction, coinciding with Mahomes throwing more
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: and more balls around and near and behind the line
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: of scrimmage, because I don't think it's what he does
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: exceptionally well. I think, as Evan likes to say, his
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: superpower is slinging it all over the place at odd
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: angles down the field and making big plays, and he
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: doesn't want to throw those little short things. You know,
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: Kelsey's not the same guy, yep. I mean, there's a
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: lot of other issues in Kansas City that's simplistic.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: But Rick and Rhode Island, why are teams limited in
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: the number of players they can have a visit with.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Teams are making million dollar investments with these players. Shouldn't
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: they be able to interview as many as they want.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: With video conferencing, teams can easily meet with any player
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: interested in meeting. That's different, right, Yeah, And you can
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: have as many of those you can have as many
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: of those. These are in person visits where they come
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: to your facility. Yeah, you can only have thirty of those.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: You can also go to their facility unlimited amount. That's unlimited.
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: Right, So like Mike Frable going down to Ellish last
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: year to meet with Will Campbell.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: That that's all And why is it limited?
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he says.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: They don't want to make the players have to travel
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: all over the country. The whole pre draft process.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: Is this rule and place for teams that don't want
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: to spend resources. So they want to limit teams that
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: don't spend resources. No, I think it has to do
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: with the player side. I think it would be a lot.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Of resource to fly the kid out. It's not like
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: the kids coming on his own dime for a visit.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: Oh no, No, you would have to pay for it.
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot to ask.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: But the travel.
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: So there was and I forget the player now, but
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: there was a guy who was had two thirty visits
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: earlier this week because it wasn't yesterday, it was the
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: last day right day was yeah. Yeah, So a guy
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: had to go let's just say, from Denver and he
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: was trying to get to Cincinnati. He got stuck in Chicago.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: The Bengals actually sent an uber forum to Chicago because
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: there was weather in the middle, you know, like it
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: was they're trying to limit, Like, that's just an example
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: of the travel logistics these kids have to go through
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: and they're not paying for it.
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: The teams are paying for it, but they're also not
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: flying private.
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: It's a lot, you know, it's a lot. Yeah, So
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: I don't think they want to have to have unlimited
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: players having like you know, for thirty two teamswhere, if you're.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: A top prospect, and you might be, you might be
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: doing half a dozen at least, I'm sure. Yeah, I
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: think it depends.
- 1:38:46Speaker 3: Like most of the time, they bring these kids in
- 1:38:49Speaker 3: because they have questions about them, whether it's medical, off
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: the field.
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: Lewis Riddick this week. Yeah, I've said this a million times.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: When you see the same player not a good sign
- 1:39:01Speaker 4: with a lot of different visits, it's usually because teams
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: have a question questions about that guy.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's usually a red flag. It's whether it's medical character.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: You know, all your wolf pointed out, like learning, like
- 1:39:13Speaker 3: being able to learn to playbook and all that kind
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: of stuff.
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: Every once in a while.
- 1:39:19Speaker 14: You know.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: He said that they will bring somebody in because they
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: want Mike Able to meet him, because they really like
- 1:39:23Speaker 3: the kid. They're really high on him as a prospect,
- 1:39:26Speaker 3: and so they want to get him in front of Rabel.
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: But for the most part, it's about crossing people off.
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: All right, eight five five pats, five hundred Christians in Boston.
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: What's up, Christian?
- 1:39:41Speaker 14: Hey guys, everybody doing good?
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: Christ with a T I A n yep, I'll be quick.
- 1:39:49Speaker 14: Rabel the quote former coach not all looking for so
- 1:39:53Speaker 14: very unfortunate, but he wants to blow up his life.
- 1:39:56Speaker 14: That's you know, that's that's that's his thing. I can't
- 1:40:00Speaker 14: wait for this draft to be over because everybody says
- 1:40:03Speaker 14: it sucks. And I know that Evan said, we're not
- 1:40:05Speaker 14: saying it sucks, but I just everybody is so looking
- 1:40:09Speaker 14: forward to the twenty seven draft. I felt like this
- 1:40:12Speaker 14: draft is just an afterthought. Really, I read more about them,
- 1:40:15Speaker 14: feel like I read more about the twenty seven draft,
- 1:40:17Speaker 14: not you guys. You guys are talking about the draft
- 1:40:19Speaker 14: and everything, but everybody's just so hyped on the twenty
- 1:40:21Speaker 14: seven draft. I wanted to get your thoughts on you know,
- 1:40:26Speaker 14: Fort and Foxborough great the final episode, just to remind
- 1:40:31Speaker 14: of how special the season was and how almost every
- 1:40:35Speaker 14: button that Fable pushed in every acquisition that they got hit.
- 1:40:41Speaker 14: The likelihood of that happening again with the free agents
- 1:40:43Speaker 14: and the draft picks is probably low. Coupled with a
- 1:40:46Speaker 14: tougher schedule. You may be a better team, and you know,
- 1:40:51Speaker 14: you may be better on offense in the crunch moments
- 1:40:55Speaker 14: and ended up against better talent, but I just definitely
- 1:40:58Speaker 14: don't expect that co hum somewhere twelve to fourteen wins.
- 1:41:04Speaker 14: Obviously don't know what the schedule looks like. It's obviously
- 1:41:06Speaker 14: gonna be tough, but we don't know what the layout
- 1:41:07Speaker 14: of it is. But whyted they get your thoughts on that?
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: You know?
- 1:41:11Speaker 14: Do you see the step back this year? You know
- 1:41:15Speaker 14: from that standpoint, like you know, just looking at like
- 1:41:17Speaker 14: I said, everybody they acquired, you know, every speech of
- 1:41:20Speaker 14: like the Creable gave everything just worked and the schedule
- 1:41:24Speaker 14: helped them too, And it was great and it wasn't
- 1:41:26Speaker 14: That's what made Fortune fox Bor just like I said,
- 1:41:28Speaker 14: just a reminder how great and how special it was
- 1:41:31Speaker 14: and how like what a very likable team it was
- 1:41:33Speaker 14: it was such a it was such a likable team,
- 1:41:35Speaker 14: a bunch of guys you know that that you really
- 1:41:39Speaker 14: you could get behind.
- 1:41:40Speaker 13: Yeah, so that's all I got.
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he's right, it could be a better
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: team this year with a not as good record.
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: The chemistry thing I have thought about more than I
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: normally think about that kind of stuff, that just because
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: it was so rare and it was so strong, unbelievable.
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: I mean, the best locker room I've ever been in,
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: hands down, And so how is it even realistic to
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: come close to recreating something like that? Right to the
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: point where like, you know, what is you know, Rabel
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: had so many like yeah, the callers said so many
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: motivational things, whether it was warriors or whatever. Like even
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: like some of the little taglines that he would use
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: is like kind of like rallying cries when they would
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: go on the road and stuff like that. You know,
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: joined the Mile High Club was one that obviously stood
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: out to me, Like how many of those has he got?
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: But but like it's not like he was coming up
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: with these things before the season, Like as of them
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: happened organically, And I think every group of guys, every
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: group of players more organic things will present themselves that
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: you can use. His motivation. I mean, look at Joe Mizzoula.
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: You know how many years has he been at it,
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: and he's a psycho and the best way ever, He's
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: got no lack of material for those guys.
- 1:42:55Speaker 6: I feel like he and Mike Rabel are weirdly kindred spirits.
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: They are. And Rabel I think I heard recently him
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: talking about Missoula and how much he learned from Missoula.
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: And I mean, it's weird because they're not.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Good stuff off. I don't want to get I don't
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: want to get the Green teamers mad.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: They're not alike right, Like they're not They're like Joe
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: Missoula and like Rabel to me or not anything like
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: Rabel's personality is way more inviting and like.
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: Fun and stoic providence guy, like.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: He's an a.
- 1:43:29Speaker 4: He can just he's a no, I will say in
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: his defense, just to go that way. It's been amazing
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: to me how hard he had that team play all
- 1:43:39Speaker 4: year in a league where this is where the green
- 1:43:42Speaker 4: teams will get mad. I mean three quarters of the
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: teams are openly trying to lose. His team played really
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: hard all.
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: Year, and if they're not trying to take their resting
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: their superstars at any given moment.
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: But when they see they rested their superstars periodically too.
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: And this is where I give Missoula credit. He gets
- 1:44:00Speaker 4: the other guys to play exceptional last game.
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: But that was amazing. I mean, like that was one
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: of the most enjoyable games I've seen all year.
- 1:44:08Speaker 4: And that was one of the rare occasions where the
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: opponent was actually trying to win the game and they
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: were trying to get out of the Yeah, Orlando, I
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: think they were trying to get out of the plan.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: I think their coach is going to be fired and
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: he is going I mean.
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: The expectations they had coming into the season. Orlando has
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: been a great team on the rise last couple of seasons,
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: and not.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: So much really surprised Carroll was not good.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: The Celtics like ability to like plug in, like the
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: Baylor Shireman's and the Luca Garzas, and like those types
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: of guys.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: I feel like it's very patriot like.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: Or like all of a sudden, you know, Roberts Blaine
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: gets hurt and Jack Gibbons has to play a lot more.
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: And they still keep winning. You know, like you know, guys.
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: It may not be the stars in the top of
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: the roster players, but you know, the Celtics lost like
- 1:44:55Speaker 3: five or six guys from their rotation from the year
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: before that was a much better team on paper, and
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: these other guys, they just filled them right in. And
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: it's a system, it's a culture. It's very much like
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: what Vrabel tries to do here.
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: David and Bethlehem. Fred's pillow quest reminded me of my nana.
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: She raised Muscovie ducks or muscovy I think mascovy ducks.
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: Neighbor's husband killed them for her, all in the wrist,
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: no blood shed, chopped the necks, hang them upside down
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: to catch the blood for sausage. Then she'd plucked the
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: breast and belly feathers soak over night in cheesecloth bags
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: to remove smelling bugs. Next windy day, she'd tie them
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: to the clothesline and fluff them every hour or so.
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: Good work for the kids who like candy. After a
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: week or two of drying, she'd close off a spare
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: room with windows, screen and scatter feathers to make sure
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: they were dry. I once opened the door and the
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: feathers flew out. Used that pillow until I went to college.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: So wow, homemade sounds like a lot for a pillow.
- 1:46:00Speaker 6: I thought she was a good pillow.
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: Though.
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: You ever sleep with a down comforter every night? Every night?
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: Too hot? What in the winter? I like the summer?
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: You put the a C up high and then you
- 1:46:17Speaker 1: still get under the covers. Great, you should try it.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: Okay, you know you use a comforter the summer. In
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: the summer, isn't a quote kind of warmer? Fel like
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: a down comforter? Allows.
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: Maybe I'm sleeping wrong, I'm doing it wrong.
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: Let's see Ben and Hershey, Pennsylvania. I'm sure another listener
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: will write in today complaining about the Patriots history of
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: drafting wide receivers, and the panel will promptly respond that
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: most weren't drafted by the current regime. Instead of repeating
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: the same conversation, can we discuss the track record of
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: wide receivers who were actually drafted by the current Patriots
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: draft leadership group, which is Wolf, Cowden, high Smith, Kinkella, Evans,
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: and Vrabel. These wide receivers were selected by teams in
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: the first three rounds while at least one of the
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: above listed personnel executives served in a national scouting or
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: personnel leadership role. Well, I don't know how fair that is,
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: but here's the list anyway. Kyle Williams, Jalen pok Taekwon Thornton,
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: Malik Neighbors, Jalen Hyatt, Treylon Burks, AJ Brown, Corey Davis,
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: Teywan Taylor, Deefen Funchez, Kelvin, Benjamin Brendon LaFell, are Monte Edwards,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: Devonte Adams, and Dwayne Eskridge. So of those, pretty good,
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: I would say that's pretty good. Here, pretty good list.
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: You like that list?
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: I mean, like, let's face it, the draft is a crapshoot.
- 1:47:51Speaker 3: So like the fact that if they hit on, if
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: you hit on like forty percent of the names on
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: a list like that, that I think you're doing pretty good.
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: I'm just I'm dismissing the vast majority of those names
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: because I don't necessarily think.
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: You're not going to give Elliot Wolf credit for Devonte Adams.
- 1:48:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'm not giving Ryan Cowden credit for Elgue Neighbors. Sure,
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: Like yeah, I mean I might not sound fair, but
- 1:48:13Speaker 4: you know, if you're not the decision maker. I can't
- 1:48:15Speaker 4: give you the credit for the decision, right, Yeah, I.
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: Mean, I think it's fair just to I don't know
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: the backgrounds of what Ryan Couten and Alonso high Smith
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: and all those guys.
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: Were involved in.
- 1:48:27Speaker 3: You know, I think for Elliott Wolf, Taekwon Dori and
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: Jalen Polk Kyle Williams are are fair.
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: I think the put into the current regime, it's fair
- 1:48:37Speaker 4: to count all three of those.
- 1:48:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with him and on that maybe very bold.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: AJ Brown, Treylon Burks. I think it's probably.
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: That's fair because Vere was heavily involved in it.
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: I guess Calvin Benjamin and Devin Funchis would have been
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: Carolina that Ryan Cowden was with, yeah ten years ago
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: as a director of college scouting or something like that.
- 1:48:55Speaker 4: I don't necessarily put those on him. Neither one of
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: those guys was I know they both had they had
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: their moments. They both had moments, but neither one of
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: them was what I would call a hit. We get
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: this question a lot. I think we've answered it before.
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: Kylin Pembroke, which Patriots Hall of Famer who is in
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame now? Can't be Brady, would you
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: add to this team in their prime to improve the
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: current Patriots we've talked about.
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you blew us off.
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: I think Tippett was you know, if you're looking for
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: an edge rusher.
- 1:49:26Speaker 4: He was our defense if I think we all picked everyone.
- 1:49:30Speaker 4: Plus he kind of scares me.
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: You want to make sure he's right upstairs.
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: So offense was was tough. I thought there were a
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: lot of different options on offense. Well, yeah, it's hard,
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: but Stanley Morgan was what I picked. Like have a
- 1:49:47Speaker 4: great outside deep threat. With Drake May, I picked Ben
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: ben Coates would have been a really good pick, I
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: said Scar.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: I tried to be a little I thought about it, honestly,
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: but I like the fresh So I don't want to
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: be dis too.
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: That's well, that's what I said, No disrespect at all,
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: but like if you can have the goat, yeah, absolutely,
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: Uh Logan and Myrtle Beach, sorry about the subject.
- 1:50:12Speaker 1: Just want Oh the subject is urgent, Fred, your name
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: appeared in the Epstein files.
- 1:50:16Speaker 4: So he just wanted that's how that's how you got in.
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: He wanted to read it. Yeah, have y' all talked
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: checked out? Jackson Kwatch linebacker from Miami, Ohio.
- 1:50:29Speaker 6: I'm gonna like assume that's a made up name.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Probably.
- 1:50:32Speaker 6: I think he's trying to get me on like being like,
- 1:50:34Speaker 6: oh yeah, I've heard of that guy.
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: I just looked at it. So I just looked at
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: it and because I looked at his face and he was.
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: Like they did that to Gronk, they like made up
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: a fake tight end have been out on injury.
- 1:50:47Speaker 8: I mean.
- 1:50:49Speaker 10: Fake.
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: I want to say, I'm like Miami Ohio.
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: I'm probably twenty watch twenty five deep onlinebackers in this draft,
- 1:50:59Speaker 3: and that name is not on the list, so I'm
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: going to say fake.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: Well, he is Miami Ohio, so he could be pretty.
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: Low fake Jackson cool Watch twenty third ranked lineback. Wow,
- 1:51:12Speaker 4: you just got to get three more guys seventh round projection.
- 1:51:15Speaker 4: You can be forgiven for not knowing a seventh round
- 1:51:17Speaker 4: project not a.
- 1:51:18Speaker 3: Real persons fake he's real, No, I would have to
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: see evidence that he's real.
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: Send me the tape.
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: You're like that girl on the plane that went crazy.
- 1:51:27Speaker 6: I'm not gonna that guy is not real.
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: I'm not going to get duped by one of those though,
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: because I've seen that happen before, so I err.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: On the side of I don't know. If you don't know,
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: just say you know.
- 1:51:38Speaker 4: The name.
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: It's a lost ar to just say I don't know.
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: That's why I said what I said, because I was like,
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: I'm not going to get what like, you know, get
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: got by one of these you know, plus the names out.
- 1:51:49Speaker 4: I'm not going to lie that there's so many names
- 1:51:51Speaker 4: that I do not know them the way Mike and
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: Evan do. So I'll hear a name and I'll be like, Okay,
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: I've heard that name, but I don't remember who it is. Yeah,
- 1:52:01Speaker 4: As opposed to hearing a name like that that I've
- 1:52:04Speaker 4: never heard before, I immediately just look at Evan like
- 1:52:06Speaker 4: who that Like, I don't have no idea who that is?
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: So guy said, I think I've watched twenty five off
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: ball linebackers and that guy's.
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: Name as well.
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: He was a Super Bowl you would know about him.
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: You're right.
- 1:52:19Speaker 6: You're probably right.
- 1:52:20Speaker 4: Sam's Connecticut doing a research on him right now. That's
- 1:52:23Speaker 4: why I'm so nervous about the last week before the draft.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: What's up, Sam, Samam, Hey, guys, thanks.
- 1:52:32Speaker 12: For taking my call.
- 1:52:34Speaker 7: I just had one quick thing I want to ask
- 1:52:36Speaker 7: you guys about Uh.
- 1:52:37Speaker 19: A J.
- 1:52:38Speaker 7: Brown has been, you know, the main trade sof for
- 1:52:40Speaker 7: the Patriots. I thought it'd be fun to kind of
- 1:52:44Speaker 7: think of some names of really good receivers who are
- 1:52:47Speaker 7: on teams that maybe don't have a great quarterback or
- 1:52:51Speaker 7: who aren't competitive, who may who may trade you know,
- 1:52:54Speaker 7: one of those other guys that that's not really talked.
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: About as much teams that I mean, like a Garrett Wilson.
- 1:53:02Speaker 6: Oh, that's one. You know, Brandon Ayuk I mean earlier
- 1:53:06Speaker 6: this offseason.
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: I'm not sure if it's as much recent, but like
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: chrys Olave, his name has been floated around a lot.
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: It certainly seems like they want to make him part
- 1:53:13Speaker 4: of their future.
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: I don't I don't have a you know, a great
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: list of that other than A J. Brown, Like I
- 1:53:20Speaker 3: thought about it, but it's.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Not an extense.
- 1:53:23Speaker 5: A J.
- 1:53:23Speaker 4: Brown and Brandon Ayuk are two guys that are to
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: be I want nothing to do with you. I need
- 1:53:31Speaker 4: to know more about his health about I need to
- 1:53:36Speaker 4: know about his knee. I can get by them.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: Too much. From the Niners, I'm embracing.
- 1:53:41Speaker 4: I'm embracing A J. Brown. He was reading a book
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: in the middle of a game, so I can get
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: past Like, no, that's totally medicals checks out. I can
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: get him in my program if I'm Mike Rabel and
- 1:53:51Speaker 4: I'm I'm happy.
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: I'm genuinely worried about Brandon ayukh.
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: Like I'm not even saying this as like like it
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: to be funny, like I would take him.
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: I mean he's like face, he's like like Instagram living himself,
- 1:54:06Speaker 3: like going one hundred and ten down the highway.
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: No, No, like absolutely worry. I just worry about that guy. Yeah,
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: this too, I wouldn't either.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: Dude. The forty nine ers players were saying about him,
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: how you.
- 1:54:16Speaker 6: Just like, I just there's too much we know, Yes, yes,
- 1:54:21Speaker 6: I mean he needs help, like genuinely.
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: Like yep uh. Tim in California, Here's what would you
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: rather draft? Tight end Max Claire from Ohio State or
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: Sam Rouch from Stanford Claire.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: I don't know much about Rausch, but it's.
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: A toss up for me that one's I think that
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: the one of the harder ones because Claire is definitely
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: a better receiving tight end, but he's not the blocker
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: that Roush is. Rausch is is a good inline blocker
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: with some receiving upside. So it kind of just depends
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: on like which way you want to go. I'd say
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: Claire is probably a better player.
- 1:54:57Speaker 4: I like him right now. I love him, but I
- 1:54:59Speaker 4: do like him. I yeah, that was one of the
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: guys might signed.
- 1:55:02Speaker 14: To me.
- 1:55:02Speaker 3: He can block a little bit better than I think
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: he gets credit for, but he's not a blocker, Like
- 1:55:06Speaker 3: that's not going to be where he makes his money.
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: But I probably need to I feel like, you know,
- 1:55:15Speaker 3: a week to go, we haven't talked enough about Max
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: Claire in my opinion, Like we've talked a lot about
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: Oscar Delp, We've talked a lot about Sam Roush, We've
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: talked a lot about some of the Day three guys.
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: Max Claire is the one guy I feel like we
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: haven't talked a ton about. Some of that's because he's
- 1:55:30Speaker 3: projected to go in between picks for the Patriots. He's
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: like the seventieth best player in the draft, so he's
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: like kind of in the middle there. But he's a
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: really good pass catching tight end, good receiver. Went to
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: Ohio State at least for a year. You know, I
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: think there is like a reason to believe that they
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: would be in on him as much as they're in
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: on Delp and Ralsh. I think Brugler has him as
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: sixty six, Yeah, and his top one, So you'd have
- 1:55:58Speaker 3: to take him at sixty three, which I think, you know,
- 1:56:00Speaker 3: if you wanted, it's a little early maybe to take
- 1:56:03Speaker 3: a tight end.
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: Would you rather draft a quarterback or a punter? Why
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: is that even a oh this year quarterback? Quarterback? Quarterback? Yeah?
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: Or possibly sign one and uh undrafted free agent from
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: the United Football League, that's okay, forget that. Would you
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: rather trade Tommy Current to the Jets or Phil Perry
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: to the Miami Dolphins? Depends on what I'm getting back?
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: Doesn't it all depend on when I'm getting back?
- 1:56:30Speaker 12: You know?
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: Am I getting armandster Gurro back? Or I think he's outkicked.
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: I like that question, though that has legs for the newsletter.
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: What's more likely Logan Mankins gets into the Patriots Hall
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: of Fame or Paul gets a new quality pre owned
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: Toyota Logan Logan macons.
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: I'm waiting for listeners to just start a gofund me for.
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: All right. A couple of quick calls to end the show,
- 1:57:00Speaker 1: Austin Cream.
- 1:57:00Speaker 11: What's up, Hey, I have a couple of questions about
- 1:57:03Speaker 11: getting tickets to next year's games.
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: Is it typically when the.
- 1:57:06Speaker 11: Season schedule releases, Is that the best time to buy
- 1:57:11Speaker 11: pictures or tickets? Or do I have time to wait?
- 1:57:15Speaker 1: You're talking specifically for the Patriots.
- 1:57:18Speaker 14: Yep.
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: I mean now with the secondary market and how easy
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: it is to buy, I.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: Don't think you have you can buy tickets at any time.
- 1:57:26Speaker 4: I don't think I think there is a date that
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: they make tickets avail.
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: Time to buy tickets is five minutes before the game starts.
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: Well, maybe he doesn't want to get soaked.
- 1:57:35Speaker 1: Well, I'm saying you don't necessarily get soaked.
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: Anymore in the secondary market.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: Yeah, for certain games you do.
- 1:57:41Speaker 4: But to hear about a lawsuit that just just went
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: through yesterday, show.
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: Up to the stadium and in the last hour before
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: the game starts, they will drop dramatically. My friends do
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: this for concerts all the time.
- 1:57:52Speaker 11: Here, that's a bit time. I'm an international listener, so
- 1:57:56Speaker 11: that's that's a bit tough. But second thing, if you're
- 1:57:58Speaker 11: is it is it worth it to stay in Foxboro
- 1:58:01Speaker 11: or near the stadium there? Or is there is there
- 1:58:04Speaker 11: easy ways to like train in or yeah, if.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: You stay in Boston, there's a train that gets here
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: two hours before an hour before the game. Depends on
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: if you want to tell gay or not, Like what
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: do you want to do before the game.
- 1:58:17Speaker 4: If you don't have a car, then you could do
- 1:58:20Speaker 4: it either way. You could take the train like Fred
- 1:58:23Speaker 4: just explained, or you could go and hang out and
- 1:58:25Speaker 4: Patriot Place or something like that.
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: It also depends on how long you're here. I think
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: if you're here for a couple of days, you might
- 1:58:30Speaker 2: not want to stay in Foxborough, especially without a car,
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: because what are you going to do and how are
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: you going to get around? Or as the city public
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: transportation and such a walkable city in Boston too, and.
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: Then you take the train in.
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's usually my irec vibe with other fans
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: on the tee.
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: Thanks Cream Uh thanks Eldred's in North Carolina.
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: Boston was international.
- 1:58:53Speaker 13: Hey Alex Fellows, I leave Carshie alone, like we get
- 1:58:59Speaker 13: in it and like I told them, you'd rather pay
- 1:59:02Speaker 13: them line ass actresses and actors instead of fixing cars.
- 1:59:06Speaker 19: I had them for about eight months. Didn't fix not
- 1:59:08Speaker 19: one thing, did you?
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: So you put in a claim and they said they
- 1:59:11Speaker 1: wouldn't fix it.
- 1:59:13Speaker 13: Exactly.
- 1:59:14Speaker 19: I put in four for my Firebird in my Camaro
- 1:59:17Speaker 19: and they wouldn't fix it.
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: They did, they give reasons.
- 1:59:25Speaker 19: Yeah, uh, it's not covered under I said, but you
- 1:59:27Speaker 19: said in Jack got the whole ones for the engine
- 1:59:30Speaker 19: to train, the powertrain, transmission and all of that, but
- 1:59:34Speaker 19: that's not part of the why it ain't part of
- 1:59:35Speaker 19: the engine. And I said, I'll tell you what, just
- 1:59:37Speaker 19: just let it go at that and then if I
- 1:59:39Speaker 19: was then Gaffney stuffed Carolina at the cheval A place,
- 1:59:42Speaker 19: try to get that one fixed.
- 1:59:44Speaker 13: One of the guys said, man, we got a car here,
- 1:59:46Speaker 13: been sitting there.
- 1:59:47Speaker 19: For four months and they ain't fix the engine yet
- 1:59:49Speaker 19: on it, and it's come out looking at it to me,
- 1:59:51Speaker 19: thed a bunch of liars.
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: And yeah, it sounds face. There's so many of them,
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: it sounds I didn't know. Maybe some people like if worked.
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:00:01Speaker 19: Yeah, Cashio, I'm most definitely against them.
- 2:00:04Speaker 10: The risk him.
- 2:00:04Speaker 19: I ain't try to. I paid it for eight months
- 2:00:07Speaker 19: in a pin. Every time I took my car to
- 2:00:10Speaker 19: a dealer or mechanic shop, I end up paying. I'm
- 2:00:13Speaker 19: like I told you I'm not gonna pay you in
- 2:00:15Speaker 19: the mechanics too, don't make sense.
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: Yeah, you're better off just putting that money every month
- 2:00:19Speaker 2: into a savings account, right, and then.
- 2:00:21Speaker 13: You have it back when you need it, right, yep,
- 2:00:24Speaker 13: but cashio down here with me?
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: Okay, wait in the world, all right, savings account?
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: All right?
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: Thanks Aldred, thanks for the review.
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: That's cute.
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: And I would trust at Eldrick because he spends his
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: life driving you know, Camaro car guys.
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: Yeah, nice car, fiderbird Camaro.
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: I wanted a Camaro because of the Transformers.
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: Well it's nineteen eighty two and Eldred is seventeen years old.
- 2:00:50Speaker 4: I really just want to be an eagle on the hood.
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: When I started, that was the car. I assumed that
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: he was driving with the Camaro Aaron Darren Duran. Doesn't
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: he look like a guy.
- 2:01:00Speaker 4: There and playing, Yeah, he's a truck.
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: He's got the T shirt with the cigarettes rolled up. Now.
- 2:01:07Speaker 3: Really, I just really wanted a Camaro from Transformers one
- 2:01:12Speaker 3: Hilda buff and he has the Camaro because I always
- 2:01:16Speaker 3: wanted one. And then I test one actually really small
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: like windshield like seeing.
- 2:01:21Speaker 2: Out the front blind spots.
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of blind spots that I actually didn't
