- 0:29Speaker 3: We're ready for your closing remarks. I'm so happy they're back.
- 0:32Speaker 2: A hight everybody my closing remarks today. This is what
- 0:35Speaker 2: I've chosen to do. I have variations of this when
- 0:41Speaker 2: I'm talking as a speaker and things like that, but
- 0:43Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna go a different way with you today. Uh.
- 0:48Speaker 2: There's a saying that if you're the smartest person in
- 0:54Speaker 2: your group, then you need a new group. I want
- 1:01Speaker 2: you all to just think about that for a minute.
- 1:03Speaker 2: If you're the smartest person in your group, you need
- 1:07Speaker 2: a new group.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I've been very, very guilty of this, not saying that
- 1:14Speaker 2: I was smarter than everybody else, but I had been
- 1:18Speaker 2: exposed more than a certain group of people I had
- 1:22Speaker 2: employed and had hanging around me. I had been exposed
- 1:26Speaker 2: to more things. I naturally was making more because they
- 1:29Speaker 2: were mostly employees. I wanted more, uh And because of
- 1:39Speaker 2: the fact that I had more and more was required
- 1:41Speaker 2: of me, I just had bigger dreams. I outdreamed everybody
- 1:48Speaker 2: in my group and had just gotten to a point.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And I'm saying this because I want you all to
- 1:54Speaker 2: put everything into perspective.
- 1:56Speaker 1: As I'm talking to you, Just imagine at your place in.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Your life that if you're the one that's constantly coming
- 2:04Speaker 2: up with the ideas, you're the one constantly coming.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Up with the solution.
- 2:08Speaker 2: You're the one everybody turns to for guidance. You're the
- 2:11Speaker 2: person always picking up the tab. You're the person that's
- 2:16Speaker 2: the only one who's dreaming really big. You're the one
- 2:21Speaker 2: that's pulling the wagon, and you happen to be carrying everybody.
- 2:25Speaker 1: That's on it.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Ain't none of your associates getting off the wagon to
- 2:30Speaker 2: help you pull it, push it, guide it, or nothing.
- 2:33Speaker 2: They just own the wagon and you're doing all the pulling.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You need a new group. You need a new group.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Now.
- 2:44Speaker 2: The problem with acquiring this new group is going to
- 2:47Speaker 2: be that. The fact is inevitable. You have to get
- 2:52Speaker 2: rid of the old group. And it's hard. It's hard
- 2:56Speaker 2: cutting people loose because for the most part, you're just
- 3:00Speaker 2: a nice person, because you start beating yourself up with
- 3:04Speaker 2: stuff that has nothing to do with you. Well, if
- 3:08Speaker 2: I let them go, what they gonna do? Man, How
- 3:12Speaker 2: his family gonna eat? How her family gonna survive, How
- 3:17Speaker 2: they gonna if I let them go? Man, how they
- 3:22Speaker 2: gonna feel about me? What will they say about me?
- 3:25Speaker 2: What will the other group members think about me? But
- 3:32Speaker 2: you know something, mad, that's not your job. And I'm
- 3:35Speaker 2: not trying to sound cold to callous, but it's just
- 3:38Speaker 2: not your job. They are responsible for themselves, but through
- 3:43Speaker 2: this meaningless emotion called guilt, they will make you feel
- 3:48Speaker 2: guilty about letting them go and making them stop riding
- 3:53Speaker 2: up the heel and your wagon for free. And they
- 3:57Speaker 2: use guilt, which is the most meaningless emotion, and they
- 4:00Speaker 2: give it to you all the time.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Y'all, do yourself a favor. Stop doing that.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Stop carrying people who should be walking themselves. Stop pulling
- 4:10Speaker 2: people up the heel and your wagon when they need
- 4:13Speaker 2: to get their own wagon to pull stop, do yourself
- 4:18Speaker 2: a favor, get yourself a new group. They will be
- 4:24Speaker 2: fine because let me ask you a question. This is
- 4:26Speaker 2: something my father used to say to me all the time.
- 4:31Speaker 2: What would you do if you didn't know me? And
- 4:35Speaker 2: I used to never understand when my father said it
- 4:37Speaker 2: that until I got older, but I hear him saying
- 4:40Speaker 2: it to me all the time. People come to you
- 4:42Speaker 2: and ask you for money because I know you got
- 4:44Speaker 2: it because you're doing better than them. Well, you work
- 4:47Speaker 2: harder than them, so quite naturally you should be doing
- 4:49Speaker 2: better them. Now they come to you and ladies guilt. Man,
- 4:53Speaker 2: you done came up and all us and over all
- 4:57Speaker 2: of us and left us back here.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Now we so proud of you. Let me hold.
- 5:04Speaker 2: My father used to say, if you didn't know me,
- 5:06Speaker 2: what would you do? So I started incorporating that in
- 5:08Speaker 2: my life. If you didn't have my number, who would
- 5:11Speaker 2: you call? I cannot be everybody's emergency. If you are
- 5:16Speaker 2: everybody's emergency phone call, you need a new group. They
- 5:21Speaker 2: gonna bring you down. Man, I'm telling you, they're going
- 5:24Speaker 2: to bring you down. And when you go down, guess
- 5:27Speaker 2: what they gonna get another emergency number.
- 5:30Speaker 1: They not gonna be there for you.
- 5:32Speaker 2: All these people that use you as they emergency, do
- 5:35Speaker 2: you have the ability to use them as your emergency?
- 5:37Speaker 1: I think not.
- 5:39Speaker 2: It's time to look at getting a new group now.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You can sever the ties with these people now, or
- 5:49Speaker 2: you can wait until a major event occurs. That's gonna
- 5:53Speaker 2: cause you have to break it off and it's gonna
- 5:55Speaker 2: be a lot more painful and a lot more costly.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But Bishop Jake said one time, sometimes you have to
- 6:03Speaker 2: let people go so they can be freed up to
- 6:06Speaker 2: go be who they're supposed to be because some people
- 6:10Speaker 2: just hanging their on costs. It's comfortable because you've made
- 6:13Speaker 2: it comfortable for people. And I'm talking to everybody out there.
- 6:18Speaker 2: This ain't for me or people who have employees. This
- 6:21Speaker 2: is for people who have people in their lives that's
- 6:23Speaker 2: constantly pulling on you. Man. For twenty dollars here, forty
- 6:27Speaker 2: dollars here, one hundred over here? My light bell went off.
- 6:31Speaker 2: They cut this off. They calling me I'm behind on
- 6:35Speaker 2: my TAXI my income tax check.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Ain't hear you, man? Oh man?
- 6:39Speaker 2: Oh man? How many times you get that? Stop being
- 6:42Speaker 2: everybody's emergency phone call? Because if they didn't know you,
- 6:46Speaker 2: what would they do? You know, my father used to say,
- 6:50Speaker 2: when they don't know you, what would they do? They
- 6:52Speaker 2: need to get on and get to doing it. You
- 6:55Speaker 2: can't save everybody because they'll bring you down. If you're
- 7:00Speaker 2: the smartest person.
- 7:01Speaker 1: In your group, you need a new group.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Those are my close remarks. Have a great one today.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
- 7:08Speaker 2: from Peace.
