- 1:12Speaker 4: badass a lotto.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Does anyone call you that?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I think that?
- 1:17Speaker 1: But I like it.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I'll take it.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Never never gosh, Bob, Yes, it's such a good name.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Isn't that a good one?
- 1:28Speaker 2: That's all I'm in. I'm taking it from now.
- 1:31Speaker 4: All right, Well, bad ass Loto. We are love, We
- 1:33Speaker 4: are very lucky to have you on the show. We're
- 1:35Speaker 4: excited to have you on the show. Welcome to the
- 1:37Speaker 4: Almost Famous OG Podcast.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Awesome, thank you for having me.
- 1:41Speaker 1: You're welcome. Do you consider yourself an O G? Like,
- 1:45Speaker 1: do you do?
- 1:45Speaker 4: You consider yourself one of the ogs? Because we do,
- 1:49Speaker 4: we can see I do.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And I always say like this, like when back in
- 1:54Speaker 2: the day, when I was on the Bachelor, we didn't
- 1:57Speaker 2: have Instagram, we didn't have Facebook, we didn't have any
- 2:00Speaker 2: any social media, right, yeah, you know, like I barely
- 2:05Speaker 2: after that barely had like MySpace, and you know, and
- 2:08Speaker 2: we barely like used email. I know.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I mean we were Trista and I talked about that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I think that's a litmus test for if you're an
- 2:16Speaker 3: OG or not. We're going to use that from now on,
- 2:20Speaker 3: the phrase back in the day.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Back in the day, and if you didn't have any
- 2:24Speaker 2: kind of like social media, then you are an OG.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yes, Yeah, I think that's a great call. I really do.
- 2:32Speaker 1: That's a good call. Trust that that should be our
- 2:33Speaker 1: litmus test for it.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yes, for sure.
- 2:35Speaker 4: It was such a different experience back in the day, right,
- 2:38Speaker 4: you had to You had to get almost like baited
- 2:41Speaker 4: into looking at a chat room that none of us
- 2:43Speaker 4: even knew how to look at anyway, to see how to.
- 2:45Speaker 1: See how people were shredding you.
- 2:47Speaker 4: So it's like, you know, it's so much better now,
- 2:49Speaker 4: you know, it's so much easier to share.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So you really had to like get on the computer
- 2:53Speaker 2: and search like, yes, very very specific things to find
- 2:58Speaker 2: something that maybe they were talking about you but maybe not.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But also like there was barely anyone in any magazines
- 3:06Speaker 2: or like I I remember I had like one little
- 3:09Speaker 2: like picture like my with my green background like in
- 3:15Speaker 2: one one of the magazines. And then my husband and
- 3:18Speaker 2: I after we got married, we had like a little
- 3:20Speaker 2: spread in US Weekly. But that's really it. Nothing else.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, true, it was. It was easy to
- 3:28Speaker 1: do that.
- 3:29Speaker 4: You can find some stuff on yourself randomly in the
- 3:32Speaker 4: grocery store, but that was about it.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah right, Okay, so we obviously love all things bachelor
- 3:39Speaker 3: and Bachelorette, but we wanted to bring you on today
- 3:42Speaker 3: to talk all things professional NBA. Yeah answer, I mean, hello,
- 3:49Speaker 3: we have that in common, but especially with the whole
- 3:53Speaker 3: Dallas Cowboy cheerleader documentary out that's out right now. Have
- 3:58Speaker 3: you watched it?
- 3:59Speaker 2: I have? It's incredible. I love it.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Okay, you love it?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Okay, good?
- 4:02Speaker 1: I thinking about it.
- 4:04Speaker 3: So we'd love to hear, like where what was your
- 4:07Speaker 3: journey in like the professional dance world? Like how did
- 4:11Speaker 3: you start? Because I can't remember if you were a
- 4:14Speaker 3: heat dancer first or a Dallas Cowboy. Yeah, okay, tell me,
- 4:19Speaker 3: tell us the tell us, the journey, the path.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I was Wichita State University cheerleader Go Shocks, and my
- 4:30Speaker 2: cheer coach at the time was like, hey, let's I'm
- 4:33Speaker 2: going to go down to Dallas and try out for
- 4:34Speaker 2: the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. And I was like, You're not
- 4:36Speaker 2: going out without me. I'm going for sure. So I
- 4:40Speaker 2: we literally just like put in our application and at
- 4:44Speaker 2: that time, there wasn't like send in a video that
- 4:47Speaker 2: kind of stuff. You could go down and take a
- 4:49Speaker 2: prep class, you could kind of learn what you're going
- 4:51Speaker 2: to be doing at auditions, but there was no prepping
- 4:55Speaker 2: for audition. And when we got there, there were fifteen
- 5:00Speaker 2: hundred women standing in a little zig zag line and
- 5:07Speaker 2: around Texas Stadium like standing in line, hair done, suitcase,
- 5:13Speaker 2: big giant mirror in your hand, curling irons like ready
- 5:17Speaker 2: to go, like standing in line.
- 5:19Speaker 1: What year was that, Jenny, two thousand and two. Okay,
- 5:22Speaker 1: back in the day, Back in the day.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Gosh, right, So fifteen hundred girls you go and like
- 5:30Speaker 2: you walk up and it's it was so intimidating. Everyone
- 5:33Speaker 2: was just incredibly beautiful, like to the nines, like ready.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Some of them were in their high heels like ready
- 5:43Speaker 2: to go. Oh yeah, for sure there was. It wasn't
- 5:46Speaker 2: like it is now like you if you're getting ready,
- 5:48Speaker 2: you're wearing heels. If you're getting ready, now you're wearing dunks. Right,
- 5:52Speaker 2: So yeah, totally, this is totally different. I love what
- 5:55Speaker 2: you just called them dunks. Dumb. I got three kids,
- 6:01Speaker 2: there are dunks.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I just saw your Instagram poster your stories in Vegas,
- 6:07Speaker 3: And doesn't your husband klok sneakers or dunks?
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Oh yes, he probably has more shoes than any woman
- 6:15Speaker 2: that I know. His shoes crazy.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I like this because I'm a big shoe and hat
- 6:23Speaker 4: guy and I and it's like I wear the same
- 6:25Speaker 4: shoes every day, but I have like so many shoes
- 6:28Speaker 4: that my we had to build my wife a separate
- 6:30Speaker 4: closet because my shoes and hat stake up all the room.
- 6:33Speaker 2: He has in the second garage, a shoe rack in
- 6:37Speaker 2: the main garage, a giant shoe rack in our like
- 6:41Speaker 2: we call it our shoe nook. It's like, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 2: like your mud room. Every there's like one hundred pairs
- 6:47Speaker 2: in there. And then he's got his closet and his
- 6:49Speaker 2: all of his shoes in there.
- 6:50Speaker 3: So oh, I sure, yeah, sure, I know, I'll.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Send it off.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Okay, so you're wearing your dunks now, but you okay,
- 6:58Speaker 3: So you show up at auditions.
- 7:00Speaker 2: So it was amazing. So you go in and get
- 7:04Speaker 2: your number. You dance for it's like two minutes to
- 7:09Speaker 2: some random song that they play and if they like
- 7:13Speaker 2: yeah improv, they like you. They say you're in thank
- 7:16Speaker 2: you next. You're in thank you next, and then they
- 7:19Speaker 2: bring you back to the next round. They teach you
- 7:21Speaker 2: a little choreography. You perform that same thing yes yes,
- 7:25Speaker 2: or they put your number up on a board yes yes, no,
- 7:27Speaker 2: no quick, and then you learn to kick line. You
- 7:30Speaker 2: learn a little more choreography. You did an interview and
- 7:36Speaker 2: all KuPS of questions, history, all the things. But we
- 7:39Speaker 2: also took my oh.
- 7:41Speaker 3: My gosh, history of the Dallas coverge.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We also took a ten page written exam, so tables
- 7:50Speaker 2: like it. You would go into college, right, tables set up,
- 7:53Speaker 2: you go sit down, there's space in between. You have
- 7:56Speaker 2: your ten page paper and you have to answer the questions.
- 7:59Speaker 2: It's history of the Dallas Cowboys, history of the NFL,
- 8:03Speaker 2: current events, current players, the Ring of Honor, information about
- 8:07Speaker 2: the owners, like things like that. But also you had
- 8:10Speaker 2: to write the national anthem word for word on.
- 8:15Speaker 1: What that's awesome? Try to do it, Try to do it. Like,
- 8:19Speaker 1: going in.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Doing this, you had no pre reconceived notions of what
- 8:23Speaker 3: was going to happen.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Right, nothing, especially not your first year. After that you
- 8:27Speaker 2: kind of you kind of know what you're getting yourself into.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Your first year going in you're like, oh, oh say,
- 8:34Speaker 2: can you know You're like, you're like, I'm singing in
- 8:37Speaker 2: my head, right.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I would struggle on when it's over because it's technically, oh.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm being graded. I mean I would stress out
- 8:47Speaker 1: about that kind of stuff.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and so like, but that was like, Okay, well
- 8:51Speaker 2: this is serious, I'm going to take it. It's like
- 8:53Speaker 2: a ten page exam to make this home and then
- 8:56Speaker 2: after that it's training camp people. It's pretty pretty Simil
- 9:00Speaker 2: Howard is now, but it's it's it was. It was
- 9:05Speaker 2: I say tough, but it was. It was awesome, you
- 9:10Speaker 2: know what I mean? Like it it was I made this,
- 9:13Speaker 2: I did this. I went through all of that. There
- 9:15Speaker 2: were fifteen hundred girls and I made the top thirty
- 9:18Speaker 2: six so really or thirty eight, I can't remember, but
- 9:23Speaker 2: and how many they? So did you make the squad?
- 9:26Speaker 2: I did? I mean I made it my first season?
- 9:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that insanity.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Yeah, So I cheered two five and you had no
- 9:35Speaker 5: idea what you were getting into, No, not at all.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You were two to five. You said, yeah, I think.
- 9:40Speaker 2: When you when you think of a cheerleader, think they're
- 9:42Speaker 2: going to go throw some pompumps in the air, a
- 9:45Speaker 2: few hair flips, and you're like, there they are. But
- 9:48Speaker 2: there was so much more to it.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Heck.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Yeah, And I love that.
- 9:52Speaker 2: This new Netflix show really shows like how the girls
- 9:56Speaker 2: are feeling the stress, the things are doing outside of
- 10:00Speaker 2: outside of it. How smart some of these girls are.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I mean, like, I cheered with a lady and I
- 10:05Speaker 2: say lady because I was twenty two when I made it.
- 10:09Speaker 2: She was forty four, which is how old I am.
- 10:11Speaker 2: And she was an attorney and she had like three
- 10:15Speaker 2: kids and also okay, yes, just incredible, incredible women.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Yeah, Jenny, did you ever get to know Bonnie Jill
- 10:24Speaker 4: Lathland or Holly Huggins Did you ever get to know them?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Bonnie Joe was before me, and I've met her a
- 10:29Speaker 2: couple of times, like at our alumni events and things
- 10:32Speaker 2: like that, But I don't know her personally. How over
- 10:34Speaker 2: owe her on Instagram and I think she's amazing.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she's my really good friends.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I love her. Oh my, yes, that's it
- 10:42Speaker 2: right there.
- 10:43Speaker 1: She's awesome, isn't she?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Oh my gosh?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yes, yep.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Okay, so you made it the first freaking year. So
- 10:50Speaker 3: for me, I I didn't know that I wanted to
- 10:55Speaker 3: do the Heat Dancers until I was living in my
- 10:57Speaker 3: I saw them practicing in a gym and I tried
- 11:02Speaker 3: out three years. It took me three years to make it.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Not yeah, heat auditions are very different from Dallas down
- 11:10Speaker 3: to that, but but yeah, I mean the fact that
- 11:15Speaker 3: you made it out of fifteen hundred girls not knowing
- 11:19Speaker 3: what you were doing.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I have like orange I have like orange blonde hair.
- 11:22Speaker 2: That I had colored and myself. They turned me into
- 11:28Speaker 2: Tiffany Ambertheasan with like the dark hair and like the
- 11:31Speaker 2: green eyes. You know what I mean, it's the whole thing.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Did they give you recommendations for what they wanted your
- 11:39Speaker 3: look to be?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Oh no, because if you make it to training camp
- 11:41Speaker 2: them they'd change you.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So you go, you go to training camp, They're like.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Here you go, nake you into who you should be.
- 11:52Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Do they have so I know for the heat we
- 11:54Speaker 3: had like mac makeup artists come and like teach us
- 11:58Speaker 3: how to do makeup, But did they actually do like
- 12:01Speaker 3: set you up with a hair person and say, Okay,
- 12:04Speaker 3: you're going brown, you're gonna be ye.
- 12:06Speaker 2: So they they you sit down in the chair, Kelly
- 12:09Speaker 2: comes over and plays with your hair, looks at you
- 12:11Speaker 2: and says hmm and then they're like Tiffany and berthesin, Yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 2: dark hair, she's got green eyes. And then bam no
- 12:20Speaker 2: w yeah, and then you it is what it is like,
- 12:23Speaker 2: that's you from now on. Don't you kind of have
- 12:26Speaker 2: that persona for the rest of your like tenure or
- 12:30Speaker 2: whatever it's called.
- 12:30Speaker 3: And that's them deciding, not you both deciding, Like y,
- 12:34Speaker 3: so you're going to be you don't have you don't
- 12:37Speaker 3: have to say that.
- 12:38Speaker 2: They don't make you look like a completely and totally
- 12:40Speaker 2: different person. I feel like they Kelly has a really
- 12:43Speaker 2: great eye to look at you and say like I
- 12:47Speaker 2: like her, I like her hair how it is, or
- 12:49Speaker 2: I really think that she would pop more if her
- 12:53Speaker 2: hair was darker, or she needs more blonde. You know,
- 12:55Speaker 2: she has a really good eye for that. And I
- 12:58Speaker 2: mean I trusted it. I'm like, whatever you guys want.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yes.
- 13:05Speaker 1: So wait, so you did two to five?
- 13:07Speaker 4: So like when O five rolls, when you finished the
- 13:10Speaker 4: five season, was it one of those things where you
- 13:12Speaker 4: were like, Okay, I'm just gonna move on now, or
- 13:13Speaker 4: what was Well?
- 13:14Speaker 2: I had met a boy there it is, and he
- 13:18Speaker 2: had moved to Miami, so I was like, peace, I'm out.
- 13:22Speaker 2: I've done three years. Three years is a long time.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Five years is like five years is like amazing, But
- 13:29Speaker 2: three years is a long time for a professional cheerader
- 13:31Speaker 2: or dancer. And I was ready. I was like ready
- 13:35Speaker 2: to do something new and fun and different. But I
- 13:37Speaker 2: moved to Miami and right when I got there, I
- 13:40Speaker 2: was like, what can I do? What am I going
- 13:42Speaker 2: to do? I have to dance, So I did. I
- 13:45Speaker 2: tried out for the Heat and like I, like you said,
- 13:47Speaker 2: it's it was a totally different world. Tiny bikini tops,
- 13:53Speaker 2: any bitty shorts, tall boots, high heel stilettos, like s
- 13:58Speaker 2: working all the things.
- 14:00Speaker 1: So working all the things.
- 14:04Speaker 2: I went from like Paul bombs and hair to like
- 14:07Speaker 2: booty shorts and high heel boots.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Right, do you come in your cachet though, I would
- 14:14Speaker 4: guess like you come in for the Miami Heat trouts
- 14:16Speaker 4: and there like, well, she's a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, you know, yes,
- 14:20Speaker 4: I think, I mean.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I feel like it was because also I looked different too.
- 14:26Speaker 2: So you go there and trist to same for you.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'm sure you walked in and you were, like, you
- 14:31Speaker 2: looked different than everyone at the audition, just because it's
- 14:36Speaker 2: a different it's a different world, it's a different place,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's different. Everyone is coming from everywhere in Miami, and
- 14:43Speaker 2: so it's a really great mesh of like everyone. Right. Yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 2: and then but there was a girl who also tried
- 14:50Speaker 2: out that had just been a Laker girl. So we're
- 14:53Speaker 2: over here, I'm like this brown haired Dallas cowboys cheerleader
- 14:58Speaker 2: and she's like this Barbie blonde from La right, So
- 15:02Speaker 2: we kind of stood out a little bit. But I
- 15:06Speaker 2: went in there like, oh my gosh, the dance style
- 15:08Speaker 2: is so different. It's very hip hop. It's very low
- 15:13Speaker 2: to the ground, you know what I mean. So when
- 15:16Speaker 2: you go in there, I had to kind of like
- 15:18Speaker 2: I had to pull out a different meat.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 1: How long did you do that? How long were you
- 15:23Speaker 1: a heat?
- 15:24Speaker 2: Heat? One year? I cheered, oh, five to six, that's awesome.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Did you go to and then when did Bachelor happened
- 15:34Speaker 3: for you?
- 15:35Speaker 2: And I?
- 15:35Speaker 3: Did you dance for Phoenix?
- 15:37Speaker 2: I did? I moved to Phoenix after that season. I
- 15:41Speaker 2: moved to Phoenix and then tried out for the Sun's
- 15:45Speaker 2: Dancers and I made the Suns. So I danced for
- 15:50Speaker 2: a year six o seven and in between then I
- 15:57Speaker 2: tried out for Mercury, which is like the women's the
- 16:00Speaker 2: w NBA team they have. They had like a hip
- 16:02Speaker 2: hop squad. So I made the Mercury hip Hop squad.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And after I made Mercury, then I did the Bachelor.
- 16:11Speaker 2: So I shared a little bit of I did my
- 16:13Speaker 2: whole first year of Sons, a little bit of Mercury
- 16:15Speaker 2: and then I went on the Bachelor for six weeks,
- 16:19Speaker 2: came back, finished out the Mercury season, and then I
- 16:21Speaker 2: did two more years with the Suns.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Oh wow, Yeah, what a pedigree.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Pedigree.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Well, I was like, if you choose me, I'll just
- 16:31Speaker 2: find some word of dance and test.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Yeah, You're like, where do you live, Brad.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Womack A San Antonio is kind of close?
- 16:44Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 16:47Speaker 5: Shoot, well yeah, and do you miss it at all?
- 16:51Speaker 2: I do, but I still have my hand in it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I teach. I teach dance group fitness at Lifetime, and
- 16:56Speaker 2: I teach Groovy Effect, which is like a high it's
- 16:59Speaker 2: a high inner dance like fitness class. But we do
- 17:03Speaker 2: like weight and like some stuff like that in there.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And so I feel like I get my Jenny on
- 17:09Speaker 2: in that hour or so when I'm teaching, because I
- 17:13Speaker 2: don't know, I just turned back. It's you are. I
- 17:15Speaker 2: feel like you get to be a different person when
- 17:17Speaker 2: you're dancing, not a different person, like you get to
- 17:20Speaker 2: like be all the things that are like inside put
- 17:23Speaker 2: I'm out there.
- 17:24Speaker 4: That's that's what made Trista fall in love with me
- 17:26Speaker 4: on the Bachelorette was my mad dancing skills and when
- 17:29Speaker 4: you said it.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Was like more hip hop, like, I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 1: that's me.
- 17:33Speaker 2: You may dance just like my husband.
- 17:35Speaker 4: I see myself so differently than I did.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I was more of an Irish jig guy, which you might.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Be surprised both of you to hear this, but that
- 17:44Speaker 4: doesn't translate as well on the larger dancing.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Scene, and we see that.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sure, I'm like still pulling out the river
- 17:53Speaker 4: dance moves. You know.
- 17:54Speaker 1: It's like I don't even know what I'm doing.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I like river dance though I'm in Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 4: At my age, it shows flexibility, you know, muscular maturity.
- 18:16Speaker 4: I'm just fascinated that both of you guys were like
- 18:18Speaker 4: such accomplished dancers. And it's funny we talk about our
- 18:21Speaker 4: mutual friends Jenny, but she went on to dance for
- 18:24Speaker 4: several teams too, right, she was a Dallas Cowboy.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Cheerleader, then a forty nine er gallery.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's always interesting to me that I think, I
- 18:30Speaker 4: think it really is in your blood, you know, like
- 18:32Speaker 4: the ones that you know get out there and just keep.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Going and doing it. It's such a cool stage to
- 18:38Speaker 1: be on too.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, when I every time I go out when I
- 18:41Speaker 2: teach a class, I'll walk in and be like, I'm
- 18:43Speaker 2: Jenny dance and music like it's in my soul. So
- 18:48Speaker 2: like when I put this when the when I put
- 18:50Speaker 2: this music on, I'm gonna act a little bit weird.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm not going to act like I you know,
- 18:56Speaker 2: as I do when you walk in the door. But
- 19:00Speaker 2: feel it like I love like I feel like when
- 19:03Speaker 2: you grow up in that world and you do it professionally,
- 19:05Speaker 2: it's it's in your It's in your soul for sure.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah. Well you can always tell too when you
- 19:11Speaker 1: meet someone who's who's been in that situation. They're always
- 19:14Speaker 1: really effusive.
- 19:15Speaker 4: At least my experience has always been they're always confident
- 19:18Speaker 4: and effusive and had like this great personality as well,
- 19:21Speaker 4: because that comes through in the dance as well. And
- 19:23Speaker 4: I know that, you know, I've always thought that about you.
- 19:25Speaker 4: You have such a great personality, and you're finding me
- 19:27Speaker 4: around and you're welcome, and of course the Queen Trista,
- 19:30Speaker 4: you know, really really lays the foundation for everyone to
- 19:33Speaker 4: feel comfortable.
- 19:34Speaker 2: What are we doing for reunion?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I was just at one.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Did you go to it this year? Last year.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yes, no, I think we talked about it, how you did.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I wanted to go so bad, but I always feel
- 19:47Speaker 2: like one of my kids things always ends up somewhere,
- 19:50Speaker 2: and all that was.
- 19:52Speaker 3: I was shocked that one of my kids things did not.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I be my availability to go, but yes, I was
- 19:58Speaker 3: just do you know who kept Altano is?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yes?
- 20:02Speaker 3: So she was my choreographer when I first tried out,
- 20:07Speaker 3: when I was first on the squad.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Why do I know that name? Trista?
- 20:11Speaker 4: I know that I know that name?
- 20:12Speaker 2: Why do I?
- 20:13Speaker 3: Kat is actually a really big event producer and she
- 20:19Speaker 3: does a lot of dance media production, so you may
- 20:24Speaker 3: have run into her at some point in time. She
- 20:27Speaker 3: knows pretty much everyone in the dance in Victory. But
- 20:31Speaker 3: she was just here. I just I had lunch with
- 20:34Speaker 3: her and Blake's that got to meet her. But we
- 20:38Speaker 3: were just talking about how we want it. We need
- 20:40Speaker 3: to go to our reunion again. We need to do
- 20:41Speaker 3: this again because it was so much.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I love doing the Cowboys one. They bring everybody in
- 20:46Speaker 2: for like the entire weekend. Like we'll go from like
- 20:48Speaker 2: a Thursday to a Monday, and there's a lance and
- 20:52Speaker 2: like we get to meet the cheerleaders because we love
- 20:54Speaker 2: to meet the cheerleaders too. Then they perform at the
- 20:59Speaker 2: halftime and this year's Monday night football games, so it's
- 21:02Speaker 2: going to be.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Insane, insane. Oh, that's so much fun. And do you
- 21:06Speaker 3: get to bring me up your little girl?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah. So a couple of years ago when I went,
- 21:11Speaker 2: my husband, we brought all the kids. They sat in
- 21:14Speaker 2: a little box and it is known like they had
- 21:17Speaker 2: it was probably the best time of their life. And
- 21:19Speaker 2: they're like, that's what I bought.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I could imagine they had to be so proud.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Oh, it's really fun. I think it's cool because I'm like,
- 21:27Speaker 2: you guys don't know you guys don't know who I am.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You don't know me, right, Yeah, I'm not just a
- 21:34Speaker 1: day Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I try to convince my kids the same because I
- 21:38Speaker 1: know that my kids think I'm a total dork, which
- 21:40Speaker 1: they're not. Yeah, I'm like, I know, I used to
- 21:44Speaker 1: have a cool life, guys. Okay, you know then this happened,
- 21:48Speaker 1: These these happened. Yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Hey, well I'm curious when you went on the Bachelor,
- 21:54Speaker 3: because for me, I was titled uh, Miami Heat Dancer
- 22:02Speaker 3: or something like that. It was like or n gay
- 22:06Speaker 3: cheerleader or you know whatever. I wasn't a pediatric physical
- 22:10Speaker 3: therapist was, which of course was my career. I was
- 22:13Speaker 3: just a Miami heat dancer. So did they use that
- 22:16Speaker 3: as your title or were you.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Were sons dancer on it? Sons Dancing a son's dancer. Yeah,
- 22:25Speaker 2: but they had to go through channels to get that
- 22:27Speaker 2: title down there too. I mean I was a dental assistant,
- 22:31Speaker 2: but they also just put tons dancer on there.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Now none of the this is gonna sound really terrible
- 22:37Speaker 4: and I'm going to get some haters for it, but
- 22:39Speaker 4: I'm going there.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Back then they actually put something that we did in
- 22:43Speaker 4: the chiron.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And now they can't for all the guys that go
- 22:47Speaker 1: on there.
- 22:47Speaker 4: They can't put personal trainer lives in Mom's basement under
- 22:50Speaker 4: there because there's too many words. So now they have
- 22:52Speaker 4: to put like just kidding, just kidding everybody.
- 22:55Speaker 1: But no, they really did, like they boiled us all down.
- 22:57Speaker 4: I mean I remember trist that you might remember the
- 23:00Speaker 4: she may not, but I remember under Ryan what Ryan
- 23:03Speaker 4: Sutter was a firefighter and that was it, yeah, right,
- 23:05Speaker 4: and I was I was mortgage guy, which by the way,
- 23:09Speaker 4: I had literally just bought into a mortgage company. I
- 23:11Speaker 4: didn't even I didn't know what the hell was going
- 23:13Speaker 4: on from a mortgage perspective. And I'm like, yeah, And
- 23:16Speaker 4: I remember talking to Ryan one night and somehow it
- 23:18Speaker 4: comes up to Trista that you know, I was. I
- 23:22Speaker 4: played football in college. I was a quarterback and all
- 23:24Speaker 4: this kind of stuff. So you bring it up to me, Trista,
- 23:26Speaker 4: and I'm like, listen, I just I can't.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Really. I was literally a party planner on the football team.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I was a backup.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I'm like, Ryan played professional football for the Baltimore Ravens
- 23:37Speaker 4: because I was like such a Ryan Sutter fan because
- 23:40Speaker 4: here he was like the most humble pie, nicest guy,
- 23:42Speaker 4: and he had played at this level that you know,
- 23:44Speaker 4: nobody gets to.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And I'm just like, and he wouldn't talk about it.
- 23:47Speaker 4: He's talking about, well, you know, I hook up the
- 23:48Speaker 4: fire exting, which I'm like, dude, like, what are you doing?
- 23:52Speaker 4: You're so fascinating talk about what you've done in your life, man.
- 23:55Speaker 1: But he just wasn't that guy. But you know, they don't.
- 23:58Speaker 1: They don't have the now.
- 24:00Speaker 4: It's like all funny, kitchy stuff, which I guess is yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 4: I mean that's.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Fine, Yeah, it's fine. I just thought it was funny.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I do like to know I can. Well, here's
- 24:09Speaker 2: the do I can always tell you which girl was
- 24:13Speaker 2: a professional cheerleader or dancer. I can always Yeah, you know,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I got a good eye.
- 24:22Speaker 3: You've got a lot of experience in it. Do you
- 24:25Speaker 3: know anybody like Melissa Ryecraft for example? Was she dancing
- 24:29Speaker 3: when you were dancing?
- 24:31Speaker 2: She cheered after me? Okay, So like, do you know
- 24:34Speaker 2: do you.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Have any other connections of people either through Bachelor or
- 24:38Speaker 3: bachelt Oh my gosh.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You know now you're like testing my like mom brain
- 24:43Speaker 2: the memory, which I don't have at all, you know what. No,
- 24:48Speaker 2: but right now, one of my girlfriends is on uh
- 24:51Speaker 2: Big Brother, Oh stop it.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I am a huge big.
- 24:57Speaker 2: My name is Brooklyn and she was like a cheerleader.
- 25:00Speaker 2: She was like miss okay America say, like amazing.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I'm a huge fan. But I don't know how. I
- 25:07Speaker 3: didn't know that it had started, and I missed the
- 25:10Speaker 3: first two episodes.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I write our DVR, I know, well, I hadn't.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Set it up yet because we moved so with our
- 25:18Speaker 3: new like DBR thing, I hadn't put in all of
- 25:22Speaker 3: my favorite shows yet and so it hadn't automatically started taping,
- 25:26Speaker 3: so I have to go back and see the first
- 25:29Speaker 3: two episodes. But that is so exciting. Is she from?
- 25:33Speaker 3: Where's she from? Arizona?
- 25:35Speaker 2: She's in Texas? Okay, but I'm so pumped. I love
- 25:38Speaker 2: it when I like know somebody that's on a show.
- 25:40Speaker 2: If ever, there, if ever there was a show that
- 25:42Speaker 2: I ever decided to do again, it would be that
- 25:45Speaker 2: I love a big brother.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Big brother me too. Yeah, I was so excited. It
- 25:51Speaker 3: would be so hard to disappear for three months.
- 25:54Speaker 2: I mean, oh, I could never. I couldn't do it.
- 25:56Speaker 2: That would be just like the one thing that I
- 25:58Speaker 2: would be like maybe, but would be a long time
- 26:03Speaker 2: for me. I think my husband might be insane by
- 26:05Speaker 2: the time we got back.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yeah, same, he would be insane after like a week
- 26:11Speaker 3: or two weeks.
- 26:12Speaker 2: You know, he could do it, he would, he would
- 26:15Speaker 2: be amazing. But I think he would be like, here's
- 26:17Speaker 2: your kids. Yeah, I don't know how you drive seven
- 26:22Speaker 2: thousand miles a day.
- 26:25Speaker 3: No, I feel the same way. I feel like I
- 26:27Speaker 3: have been and recently had to, you know, disappear for
- 26:31Speaker 3: a moment in time, and I was like, he's got this.
- 26:34Speaker 3: He's an incredible dad, so he's fine. I trust that
- 26:37Speaker 3: everything will be just fine. Okay, I want to get
- 26:42Speaker 3: back to your experience. What was your like favorite game
- 26:45Speaker 3: day moment. Do you have any fun memories?
- 26:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I have lots of fun any of it. I
- 26:51Speaker 2: have lots of fund memories. One is my very first
- 26:55Speaker 2: game that I cheered at. My dad randomly just walked
- 26:58Speaker 2: up to a ticket counter and got a ticket. It
- 27:00Speaker 2: right like he just was like, hey, give me a ticket. Oh,
- 27:02Speaker 2: now we do our intro and then you're the team
- 27:06Speaker 2: splits into four and you're on your different corners end zones,
- 27:09Speaker 2: right and I look up with my dad is sitting
- 27:12Speaker 2: right there, right in front of me. We had no idea,
- 27:15Speaker 2: we had no idea what corner or wherever we would be.
- 27:18Speaker 2: He just randomly got a ticket and he ended up
- 27:20Speaker 2: right there. So I love that Dad was sitting right
- 27:23Speaker 2: there for the first for the first game.
- 27:26Speaker 3: I loved that.
- 27:27Speaker 2: And I was there when Emma Smith broke the rushing
- 27:30Speaker 2: record and like you couldn't hear yourself, think it was
- 27:34Speaker 2: the loudest cheering, and like I cried, like everyone's crying,
- 27:40Speaker 2: Like it was so incredible.
- 27:42Speaker 3: I get that is so exciting.
- 27:45Speaker 2: And then I feel like every game we would walk
- 27:47Speaker 2: out there and like we'd stand in the tunnel ready
- 27:50Speaker 2: to go, and like then our music comes on and
- 27:53Speaker 2: the intro for the Cowboys chairleaders is and now ladies
- 27:56Speaker 2: and gentlemen that often ivitated, never equal internationally acclaimed Dallas
- 28:02Speaker 2: Cowboys cheerleaders, and then we come out and it's like
- 28:06Speaker 2: this rush of like goosebumps and air and like, oh
- 28:10Speaker 2: my god, I made it. So I mean, I would
- 28:12Speaker 2: do that every day if I could. I wish my
- 28:15Speaker 2: kids would do that for Meyer. No, no they don't, though,
- 28:24Speaker 2: so I kind of have to begin and be like,
- 28:26Speaker 2: hey mom, you're still mercy. Okay, So but those I
- 28:31Speaker 2: feel like I will ever forget it. It's it was
- 28:35Speaker 2: the best time of my life. I feel like I
- 28:37Speaker 2: have a lot of best times of my life, but
- 28:39Speaker 2: that that is definitely what took me from being just
- 28:45Speaker 2: Jenny and just a college cheerleader to being a woman
- 28:50Speaker 2: and confident and a dancer. And I don't know. They
- 28:54Speaker 2: take you through all kinds of things, like you do
- 28:57Speaker 2: etiquette classes and makeup classes, teach you how to like
- 29:02Speaker 2: have a presence in public and that kind of stuff.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So it's not just like go and like dance on
- 29:07Speaker 2: the sidelines. They really do take you from being like
- 29:10Speaker 2: this high school college athlete to being a professional athlete
- 29:14Speaker 2: and learning how to be in the world.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so cool. I feel like they do it
- 29:23Speaker 3: really well. You know, like the heat you they do
- 29:27Speaker 3: the makeup classes, and you have the camaraderie of you know,
- 29:30Speaker 3: your fellow dancers, which I that's what I was drawn
- 29:34Speaker 3: to too, not just the dancing, but the camaraderie. And
- 29:40Speaker 3: I feel like, yes, you learn a lot about that,
- 29:42Speaker 3: but it seems like like the etiquette stuff. I wish
- 29:45Speaker 3: that was like a required class in.
- 29:47Speaker 2: School these days. I've sent my voice to etiquette class
- 29:50Speaker 2: because I'm like, I went to etiquette class. You guys
- 29:52Speaker 2: are going, yes, I can't take a vine into the
- 29:56Speaker 2: oldest person that was able to take some bite. It's
- 29:58Speaker 2: so funny. I think about things like that and things
- 30:02Speaker 2: that I learned through Cowboys, and like, I mean, it
- 30:06Speaker 2: has an effect on my every single day life.
- 30:08Speaker 3: That's amazing in a positive way.
- 30:10Speaker 2: In a positive way, absolutely, Yeah, for sure. I feel
- 30:14Speaker 2: like as the days go by, because there's the shows
- 30:17Speaker 2: and Netflix and like social media and all the things
- 30:20Speaker 2: that it's like goods and bads, like people are getting
- 30:23Speaker 2: the positives, but also it's a lot of stress and
- 30:27Speaker 2: a lot of eyes, which it's always been a lot
- 30:29Speaker 2: of eyes on you, but now it's more like nitpicky, right. Yeah, day,
- 30:35Speaker 2: I feel like it was really good. Yeah. I feel
- 30:39Speaker 2: like it was all positive. It was like the influence
- 30:42Speaker 2: that all of it it had on me was nothing
- 30:45Speaker 2: but positive.
- 30:47Speaker 3: I love that. I love that. Do you feel like
- 30:50Speaker 3: it helped in terms of getting you ready for your
- 30:54Speaker 3: television part of your life?
- 30:57Speaker 1: Oh?
- 30:58Speaker 2: My gosh.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I always say like I cheered with so many beautiful, talented, smart,
- 31:07Speaker 2: outgoing women who are all like front Point, home Coming
- 31:11Speaker 2: prom queens, right, So I was always around that type
- 31:16Speaker 2: of woman, and then when you go into The Bachelor,
- 31:19Speaker 2: it's all those women still, it's like the same like
- 31:23Speaker 2: high level, beautiful, smart, talented, you know, it's the same
- 31:26Speaker 2: group of women, right, And you go in there and
- 31:29Speaker 2: if you've never been in that world, I don't think
- 31:33Speaker 2: you really know how to act. I don't think you
- 31:35Speaker 2: know how to you know, smile and cheer another woman
- 31:40Speaker 2: on rather than feel intimidated and you know, become something
- 31:44Speaker 2: that you may not actually be. But I was used
- 31:47Speaker 2: to that world, so I felt comfortable with other women,
- 31:51Speaker 2: and you know, and I love to cheer. I love
- 31:54Speaker 2: to cheer other women on, So I was comfortable in
- 31:57Speaker 2: that world.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Is just.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I don't know, just that's kind of where I took it,
- 32:02Speaker 2: Like it was easy for me to be there, and
- 32:05Speaker 2: I don't think it's easy for most women to be there.
- 32:09Speaker 2: If you've never in that situation before.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Well, I feel like, especially in today's society, women don't
- 32:17Speaker 3: always lift each other up. You know, there are a
- 32:20Speaker 3: lot of trolls out there and a lot of jealousy,
- 32:23Speaker 3: and I feel like with social media, you know, people
- 32:26Speaker 3: feel like there's no accountability or there is no accountability
- 32:30Speaker 3: if you want to say what you want to say.
- 32:31Speaker 3: So I feel like that could be another required class
- 32:35Speaker 3: for just women. And you know, I mean, I guess
- 32:38Speaker 3: all of us to just lift each other up and
- 32:39Speaker 3: support each other.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that. I love that.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, So it seems like they did a good job
- 32:54Speaker 3: with that too. Now you're watching the show, is there
- 32:57Speaker 3: anything that you think is is different from your experience
- 33:03Speaker 3: back in the day for cowboys, like compared to the documentary.
- 33:09Speaker 2: No, I think they don't show. They don't show like well,
- 33:13Speaker 2: they do show the importance and the the like the
- 33:17Speaker 2: heaviness of making sure that you stay a certain way
- 33:21Speaker 2: and you look a certain way, like your you know,
- 33:25Speaker 2: you take care of yourself, right, I mean those girls
- 33:28Speaker 2: we were dancing from seven pm to eleven pm Monday
- 33:32Speaker 2: through Friday, and then appearances and events on Saturday and
- 33:36Speaker 2: games on Sunday or Monday. So I mean it's you're
- 33:39Speaker 2: constantly working out, right, You're always doing something physical, but
- 33:43Speaker 2: outside of that, you're going to the gym, you're taking
- 33:46Speaker 2: hit classes, you're doing ballet, your bar, all the things, right,
- 33:50Speaker 2: so you're taking care of yourself. Back then, we didn't
- 33:54Speaker 2: get like the nutrition aspect of it. So I would
- 33:57Speaker 2: literally I was working at a dentist. I would get
- 33:59Speaker 2: up at five o'clock in the morning. I'd have to
- 34:02Speaker 2: be there at six forty five, but stop at McDonald's
- 34:04Speaker 2: on the way. I'd get a large coke, a hash frown,
- 34:06Speaker 2: and a sausage eac and cheese a biscuit every saurday.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And so I really had to be like conscious of
- 34:14Speaker 2: like don't gain weight, Like don't you got a Maybe
- 34:18Speaker 2: now I have to go to the gym again, just
- 34:20Speaker 2: because we would get weight random weay in, Like it'd
- 34:23Speaker 2: be like way in day and everyone would like run
- 34:27Speaker 2: to the bathroom, try to peet, and then go stand
- 34:29Speaker 2: in line to get weight in, and you don't really
- 34:33Speaker 2: take your shoes off, you don't. You just go get
- 34:35Speaker 2: on the scale and they just take notes. So it'd
- 34:37Speaker 2: be like random here and there. I feel like it
- 34:39Speaker 2: was a little stressful. Now I feel like I feel
- 34:43Speaker 2: like at this point in my life, I'm probably in
- 34:45Speaker 2: the best shape of my life, and I probably and
- 34:47Speaker 2: I was so much more than I did when I
- 34:50Speaker 2: was a cheerleader. But I feel like muscular and healthy now,
- 34:56Speaker 2: and then I was it was more of a let's
- 34:58Speaker 2: be skinny. It's I don't think it's like that with
- 35:02Speaker 2: them now because they all of them are so like
- 35:05Speaker 2: muscular and fit now that I mean, I feel like
- 35:09Speaker 2: it's their weigh ins are probably a little bit different. Yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 2: it's my son. He just woke up. He's like, oh,
- 35:19Speaker 2: so it's probably a little bit different. But that was
- 35:21Speaker 2: one thing I don't think they showed like they did.
- 35:23Speaker 2: They do kind of show it how important it is
- 35:26Speaker 2: to like stay in your like weight and like your
- 35:29Speaker 2: your body is important for your uniform. But I don't
- 35:31Speaker 2: think they show the freak out moments of like, oh shoot,
- 35:35Speaker 2: we gotta go away in Yeah. I remember sitting down
- 35:38Speaker 2: with Kelly a couple of times when she's like, Jenny, like,
- 35:43Speaker 2: here's a picture with like your back circle from the game,
- 35:48Speaker 2: or you know what I'm saying, like your shorts are
- 35:49Speaker 2: getting a little tight. But here's the thing. And I
- 35:54Speaker 2: always think about it like this.
- 35:56Speaker 1: It was they.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Were right, and she's just pointing it out, saying, hey,
- 36:03Speaker 2: don't forget this is important too. This is what everyone
- 36:07Speaker 2: is seeing. You don't see it out there. But part
- 36:11Speaker 2: of the whole being the cheer litter back then was yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 2: your style, like don't let someone have that moment to
- 36:21Speaker 2: criticize you. So I take it with's good and bad.
- 36:26Speaker 2: But yeah, I feel like that's one thing they didn't
- 36:28Speaker 2: show a lot of. They do show what one particular
- 36:32Speaker 2: person going through a lot ups and downs with her
- 36:35Speaker 2: eating and that kind of stuff, And I knew and
- 36:40Speaker 2: I've cheered with a few girls that had issues. But
- 36:42Speaker 2: I feel like in general, everything that they showed from
- 36:47Speaker 2: the feelings that you're getting, the stalkers that you get,
- 36:51Speaker 2: like it's so bad. I mean, people wait for you,
- 36:53Speaker 2: they'll wait for you at the end of the game,
- 36:57Speaker 2: and you don't have security. They do. They have security.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Security walking from the tunnel to the bus, from the
- 37:03Speaker 2: bus to the car. That's security at home. But you know,
- 37:08Speaker 2: if you ever have an issue, that's one thing they
- 37:10Speaker 2: were really good at. You say something, it's taken care of.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's saying yeah, so you felt safe.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I always felt safe. I just feel if you were
- 37:20Speaker 2: to ever say anything. And I think they showed this
- 37:22Speaker 2: on the show. The one girl said something that happened
- 37:25Speaker 2: to her at a game. It was nipped in the bud,
- 37:27Speaker 2: taking care of done. There's nothing else to talk about
- 37:31Speaker 2: because they will protect you.
- 37:32Speaker 3: At all costs.
- 37:34Speaker 1: That's how.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good, which I love.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I feel like with the with the whole body, you know,
- 37:42Speaker 3: the evolution of how it's changed from when you were
- 37:45Speaker 3: dancing to now. I feel like society is very much
- 37:50Speaker 3: body positive and I wonder like, if if Mia ever
- 37:56Speaker 3: wanted to try out, ye, how did you feel with
- 38:02Speaker 3: if they still keep those standards you know what I
- 38:06Speaker 3: mean in terms of like weigh ins and you know,
- 38:10Speaker 3: showing you pictures of what your back looks like or whatever.
- 38:12Speaker 3: You know, how would you feel about your daughter doing it?
- 38:17Speaker 3: With your experience obviously taken into it account and knowing
- 38:21Speaker 3: what a positive experience you had, how would you feel?
- 38:26Speaker 4: Well?
- 38:26Speaker 2: I feel like when I when I look back on
- 38:29Speaker 2: it and how it affects me today in my life.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I am pretty conscious about myself. I wouldn't say critical,
- 38:41Speaker 2: because I have been all the things, from too many
- 38:45Speaker 2: pounds with all the kids and just you know whatever,
- 38:50Speaker 2: and all the sizes, all the weights. I've been there
- 38:53Speaker 2: because you know, you don't happen to have kids, they're crazy.
- 38:57Speaker 2: But and having been through all of that, I feel
- 39:00Speaker 2: very conscious of it and it is a part of
- 39:02Speaker 2: my every single day life. But I don't feel negatively
- 39:07Speaker 2: about it. I feel like it's a good thing for me.
- 39:10Speaker 2: I feel like it keeps me knowing how to eat healthy,
- 39:15Speaker 2: what to fuel my body with food is like not
- 39:18Speaker 2: just food, it's gonna make you feel better. Yeah, So
- 39:23Speaker 2: I feel like that was I don't. I don't feel
- 39:25Speaker 2: like anything negative came out of that for me. I
- 39:28Speaker 2: can see if I can for some people. But when
- 39:30Speaker 2: it comes to like if my daughter were you know,
- 39:33Speaker 2: twenty two years old, trying out for a team. I
- 39:36Speaker 2: feel like she's twenty two trying out for a professional
- 39:41Speaker 2: dance team, cheer squad. They're one hundred person. Should be
- 39:49Speaker 2: a thought process in what she looks like in the
- 39:51Speaker 2: uniform and how she comps herself and how healthy she
- 39:55Speaker 2: is treating her body. So what, I just don't know.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I don't want to say, yeah, I think she should
- 40:01Speaker 2: go through that, But I also feel like when you
- 40:02Speaker 2: get to that level, there should be an accountability.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I see that. I mean if it's only for
- 40:09Speaker 3: just I mean you're a professional athlete at that point. Yeah, yeah, totally.
- 40:15Speaker 3: I mean it's no different than the guys in the
- 40:17Speaker 3: NFL needing to work out, like to maintain their health.
- 40:21Speaker 2: And they have a weight and they have a weight chart,
- 40:24Speaker 2: like they have a weight, they have weights they have
- 40:25Speaker 2: to stay at. It's not any different. So like there's
- 40:29Speaker 2: like the linebacker and the quarterback. They still have their
- 40:32Speaker 2: expectations of their athletic performance, which is exactly the same
- 40:38Speaker 2: as what they're holding the cheerleaders to. It's just it's
- 40:42Speaker 2: just it's evolved now and I think now it's more
- 40:45Speaker 2: of a healthy body than a skin, right.
- 40:50Speaker 3: Yes, I feel like I feel like that's always how
- 40:53Speaker 3: it should have been. But that was kind of about
- 40:56Speaker 3: it was instilled in me as it when I went
- 40:59Speaker 3: to college studied physical therapy, and it was always just
- 41:02Speaker 3: about being healthy, you know, like making sure you're healthy
- 41:07Speaker 3: and what you're taking in is fuel and you know
- 41:10Speaker 3: that you're making sure you work out. I will say,
- 41:13Speaker 3: now that I've gotten to be fifty one years old,
- 41:15Speaker 3: I'm almos still a little bit of that, and I'm like,
- 41:17Speaker 3: you know what, I'm gonna eat all the bread and
- 41:19Speaker 3: drink all the wine.
- 41:20Speaker 2: And I mean, like I've been training for like a
- 41:24Speaker 2: mussel bikini competition, so wish me luck.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm here.
- 41:28Speaker 2: I'm going to try to do one before I turned
- 41:30Speaker 2: forty five. Just kidding. But so I've been doing that
- 41:37Speaker 2: and so I have been like really focused on it
- 41:40Speaker 2: and learning so many things about my body. But we
- 41:44Speaker 2: went to Greece for two weeks, and then I was
- 41:47Speaker 2: in Kansas for a couple of weeks, and then we
- 41:49Speaker 2: went to Vegas and then we're going to Mexico in
- 41:51Speaker 2: a couple of weeks and then school starts. But I
- 41:54Speaker 2: have let myself eat whatever I felt like I wanted
- 41:58Speaker 2: to eat. Pies I've had pizza, but also I have
- 42:03Speaker 2: put my body into a state where I feel like,
- 42:07Speaker 2: even if I do that, I still feel healthy and good, right.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Because your metabolism is high again.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so I feel like now that I've now that
- 42:17Speaker 2: I've learned more about lifting weights and that kind of stuff,
- 42:20Speaker 2: it's it's I think it's a whole different world.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it definitely can help. I mean, you're still burning
- 42:26Speaker 3: stuff when you're when you're eating all the not all
- 42:29Speaker 3: the things you shouldn't be eating.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Yeah, like certain people pizza, Well, I say you shouldn't
- 42:35Speaker 5: be eating being that you're like this should eat.
- 42:38Speaker 2: The things, but you should eat all what makes your
- 42:42Speaker 2: body feel good and what makes it not feel good right.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Well, and also if your goal is to compete, right
- 42:49Speaker 3: and a physical fitness competition, then you clearly have to
- 42:54Speaker 3: be choosy about what you Eating's like, you know, choosing
- 42:58Speaker 3: the car over the court. It's probably not what you
- 43:01Speaker 3: want to be doing.
- 43:02Speaker 2: We'll go back to that after the kids go back
- 43:04Speaker 2: to school. And I'm not chicken nuggets.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Well, you know what, And life is about priority, and
- 43:10Speaker 3: I feel like prioritizing if you're on vacation and you
- 43:15Speaker 3: want to make memories and quality time and not be
- 43:18Speaker 3: worried and about nitpicking every single meal, like do it Like.
- 43:22Speaker 2: I don't want to be the burden, and I don't
- 43:25Speaker 2: want to be the burden. And when everybody's having all
- 43:27Speaker 2: this fun stuff and everyboy'sing tacos and chips and whatever,
- 43:30Speaker 2: and then I'm like, I just get a grilled chicken.
- 43:34Speaker 2: You know. I didn't want to be the burden. So
- 43:37Speaker 2: I just had a little bit of fun and then
- 43:39Speaker 2: now now it's game.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Time, right, Yes, yeah, I feel like that's what life
- 43:44Speaker 3: is about. Life is just about all right.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:49Speaker 3: So I asked the beginning, but do you miss dancing?
- 43:52Speaker 3: I know you do, you dance through lifetime, but do
- 43:55Speaker 3: you miss the like professional dancing party?
- 43:58Speaker 2: I do. If I had, if I felt like I
- 44:02Speaker 2: had the time or like the bandwidth to be able
- 44:06Speaker 2: to go do it again, I would audition again. I
- 44:10Speaker 2: am judging Sun's dancer auditions coming up next. Ye, I know,
- 44:15Speaker 2: I'm so pumped.
- 44:17Speaker 3: That is so fun. I did that for the Bronco
- 44:20Speaker 3: you did.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I love it.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Oh, it was so fun just to be in, like
- 44:25Speaker 3: just to be there and be part of it. Yes,
- 44:28Speaker 3: I feel like that was a fun little way to
- 44:31Speaker 3: just kind of sneak back in, you know, And even
- 44:34Speaker 3: though I'd never danced for the Broncos, it was just
- 44:36Speaker 3: fun to be part of these girls experience and you know,
- 44:42Speaker 3: reminding myself kind of what I went through and bringing
- 44:45Speaker 3: back memories for me. So you'll have so much fun,
- 44:48Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Well see they asked me, and I said, well, absolutely,
- 44:52Speaker 2: I'm in what time and where? I said, or should
- 44:55Speaker 2: I just try out? Do you dinny? And I'm like, no,
- 45:01Speaker 2: I'll just judge. I don't talk.
- 45:06Speaker 3: They have an age limit, O, I mean, none of
- 45:10Speaker 3: them have an age limit. If you it's amazing.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Bad ass, like bad ass a lotto or whatever it is.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Are you?
- 45:21Speaker 3: That's I know.
- 45:25Speaker 2: I do love that the Sun's dancers have kind of
- 45:28Speaker 2: evolved into a more It's like, really, I don't even
- 45:31Speaker 2: know what the word is, but there's guys and girls
- 45:34Speaker 2: and all walks of life, so very hip hop ish
- 45:38Speaker 2: squad where like everyone can try out, like go dance
- 45:43Speaker 2: your ass off and if you're if your dance level
- 45:47Speaker 2: and your entertainment value matches, you're in.
- 45:51Speaker 3: That's it. Oh my gosh, that's so fun. I'm kind
- 45:54Speaker 3: of jealous that you're getting to do that because it's
- 45:57Speaker 3: so much fun. So okay, well, next time there's a
- 46:00Speaker 3: union for the Heat.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I know I need to go. I haven't gotten to
- 46:03Speaker 2: go to any of the Heat.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Reunions, so you have to.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Are you on the.
- 46:08Speaker 3: And you might not be just because you weren't at
- 46:10Speaker 3: the reunion this time? But there's a what stapp chat
- 46:14Speaker 3: are you on that?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Can you add me?
- 46:16Speaker 1: Jenny?
- 46:17Speaker 3: You don't want to be added? And I'm sorry for
- 46:19Speaker 3: everyone on this what sap chat, but I swear I'm
- 46:22Speaker 3: gonna go. I'm gonna look at it right now because
- 46:24Speaker 3: I swear it's like there's hundreds of messages. I can't
- 46:27Speaker 3: keep up because everyone's.
- 46:29Speaker 5: So nice to each other and everyone's like beep Birthday,
- 46:33Speaker 5: I'd be anniversary, and I'm like, oh my gosh, my
- 46:36Speaker 5: mind is blowing because I can't even keep up with
- 46:38Speaker 5: my life all of these girls who I missed terribly
- 46:42Speaker 5: and I want to stay connected to.
- 46:43Speaker 3: But I'm like, I just can't keep up. Yeah, I
- 46:46Speaker 3: know it's a lot, but we do start like if
- 46:48Speaker 3: there is a reunion, then we all connect. So it's
- 46:53Speaker 3: just a great way to connect with not even just
- 46:56Speaker 3: the people you danced with, other people, which you know
- 47:00Speaker 3: we were years apart. I think I stopped in two
- 47:05Speaker 3: thousand and two because that's when I five.
- 47:08Speaker 6: Oh six No, yeah, yeah, oh five oh six, yeah yeah,
- 47:13Speaker 6: you were was who was choreographing Janine, Janine and Gena
- 47:19Speaker 6: uh huh.
- 47:19Speaker 3: I love Genora and Janine obviously, but I love that. Okay,
- 47:24Speaker 3: it has been so much fun to chat. Thank you
- 47:27Speaker 3: so much, Jim. Oh, good for you.
- 47:34Speaker 2: You on Instagram.
- 47:36Speaker 3: I you're inspiring me like you're before and afters. I
- 47:39Speaker 3: love freaking thank you.
- 47:41Speaker 2: I know she just gave me. She was like, eat
- 47:44Speaker 2: this every day for the rest of your life, and
- 47:48Speaker 2: not the rest of your life. I've been on it
- 47:51Speaker 2: for like, I don't know, it's almost been two months now,
- 47:53Speaker 2: the eating portion of it, and I've been lifting for like,
- 47:56Speaker 2: I don't know, six months now. I just feel so amazing.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I feel like I might be addicted.
- 48:04Speaker 3: I love I love it. That's a great addiction. Yes,
- 48:07Speaker 3: I know if you're going to have an addiction.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Okay, I'll tell you on my show as you're coming.
- 48:13Speaker 3: I love it. I would love to see you. Oh
