- 0:10Speaker 1: Winch Insurance. I'm a check.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm Adam Todd
- 0:35Speaker 2: Brown and I'm Olivia Heidar and we are your hosts. Olivia,
- 0:40Speaker 2: how excited are you to be talking about Jesse Ventura again? Oh?
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm so ready, Adam, I'm ready to dive in. We're
- 0:47Speaker 2: gonna get to the bottom of this thing. I'm happy
- 0:50Speaker 2: to hear that.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yours sounds like a ghost, Like it's ghost Jesse Ventura.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he could be. For all we know,
- 1:00Speaker 2: he did a lot of dangerous stuff in his.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Life, that's true. Yeah, maybe he died on the set
- 1:05Speaker 1: of Predator.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Maybe that's why he can't ever get in any of
- 1:08Speaker 2: these government buildings. That's his haunt. Yeah, that's what's gonna
- 1:12Speaker 2: free his spirit and allow him to go to the afterlife.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Isn't it just one government building? Is like, yes, right
- 1:18Speaker 2: this way, Governor.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But you would think as a non corporeal being, he
- 1:22Speaker 1: could just walk in, like he could just like walk
- 1:25Speaker 1: through the walls.
- 1:25Speaker 2: No, there's different rules for elected officials when they die.
- 1:28Speaker 1: That's that's true. No, But I do wonder if Jesse
- 1:34Speaker 1: Ventura thinks predators are real. I've always kind of thought
- 1:37Speaker 1: that he does.
- 1:39Speaker 2: He We established that Oliver Stone's kid does because when
- 1:43Speaker 2: Jesse Ventura expressed his doubts over Little Green Men existing
- 1:48Speaker 2: or no reptilian shape shifters.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Okay, I missed this episode.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh that's oh you must have. Yeah, that's the one
- 1:55Speaker 2: where Oliver Stone's son is like, yeah, but you know
- 1:59Speaker 2: things sometimes they put things that are real into movies,
- 2:02Speaker 2: like you were in Predator and it's like, what does
- 2:08Speaker 2: that mean?
- 2:11Speaker 1: That's that's fantastic. Oh my god.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, where did those two go for this season? Oh? No,
- 2:17Speaker 2: they weren't that that season three, so they weren't part
- 2:21Speaker 2: of the team.
- 2:22Speaker 1: God, I'm getting all these spoilers and I and I'm sorry.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I will never watch an episode of this that I'm
- 2:27Speaker 1: not talking about for a podcast, so I'll never see it.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But well that's understandable.
- 2:33Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So we've we've made it to episode three. We're backtracking.
- 2:37Speaker 2: We covered episode four last week. It's time around.
- 2:41Speaker 1: We're coming in so hot. On episode four, we both
- 2:44Speaker 1: had takes.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and I think we'll have takes here. Oh sure,
- 2:48Speaker 2: this is an episode about wall Street, which is he
- 2:51Speaker 2: going to argue that Wall Street is corrupt, because the
- 2:54Speaker 2: hell you say, Governor never heard anything like that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: No, I definitely didn't watch a three hour Martin Scorsese
- 3:02Speaker 1: comedy How Wall Street Is Corrupt.
- 3:07Speaker 2: This would have been right around the time of Occupy
- 3:09Speaker 2: Wall Street, right.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it had to have been happening or at least tapering.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Was this episode twenty ten or twenty.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think was twenty eleven?
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah, then like that's like, well, Occupy Wall Street is
- 3:25Speaker 1: kind of like yeah, like you know it, that's kind
- 3:29Speaker 1: of like a two thousand and seven eight kind of
- 3:33Speaker 1: starting and then tapering off by eleven.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I was. I moved to New York briefly at
- 3:41Speaker 2: the end of twenty eleven and it was still happening then, right,
- 3:45Speaker 2: because the person I was there with was like, do
- 3:48Speaker 2: you want to go down and see Occupy Wall Street?
- 3:51Speaker 2: And I was like not really.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well, I mean my timeline could just be off because
- 3:56Speaker 1: the only information that I could have gotten about it
- 3:59Speaker 1: at that time living in Indiana was through media and so,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and the media didn't really cover Occupy Wall Street, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 1: definitely not in the positive lights.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, And they also don't cover that it worked and
- 4:14Speaker 2: that Wall Street has been straightened out ever since exactly so.
- 4:18Speaker 2: The intro implies that he thinks our government is controlled
- 4:22Speaker 2: by corporate interests, and again, come on.
- 4:26Speaker 1: God, Jesse, is he takes Is he trying to get
- 4:29Speaker 1: this episode pulled too? Because this is inflammatory citation needed.
- 4:36Speaker 2: The first person he talks to is Bill Murphy, who
- 4:39Speaker 2: is a quote Wall Street guy.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yeah, he is the star of Ghost Bosters.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah. He claims the government and Wall Street are in cahoots.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Jesse uses the word cahoots, which is such a such
- 4:52Speaker 2: a good word. And it's at this point that I
- 4:54Speaker 2: realized we are talking about the scheme depicted in the
- 4:58Speaker 2: film The Big Short.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Basically absolutely the which was you know, I not a
- 5:04Speaker 1: movie that I love. I think it's got a lot
- 5:06Speaker 1: of good stuff, but is a retelling of you know,
- 5:10Speaker 1: the financial collapse, the housing market collapse.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yeah. I think at this point when this episode came out,
- 5:16Speaker 2: we just didn't know on a wide scale basis that
- 5:19Speaker 2: that's how it happened.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think it was being talked about,
- 5:23Speaker 1: but it was like, but it's you know, like so
- 5:27Speaker 1: much political, uh financial activity, it's buried under a mountain
- 5:34Speaker 1: of jargon that you have to have lived through the
- 5:37Speaker 1: trenches of like financial either working in the financial industry
- 5:42Speaker 1: or covering it in order to really understand, you know, like, so,
- 5:46Speaker 1: like the information is out there, but if you don't
- 5:49Speaker 1: know what any of these fucking made up weird ass
- 5:52Speaker 1: words to describe a legal behavior mean, then you're not
- 5:55Speaker 1: going to understand it until you watch uh, you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: Steve Carell yell about it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's if I'm not mistaken. That's the movie
- 6:03Speaker 2: where every once in a while a character will just
- 6:06Speaker 2: stop and explain what they're talking about. Yes, why, that's why. Like,
- 6:11Speaker 2: if you don't have that, then I know there were
- 6:13Speaker 2: people who hated that about the movie, and it's like, man,
- 6:16Speaker 2: that's necessary.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's not a thing that I hated about that movie.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So where'd we go? So, yeah, if you're
- 6:24Speaker 2: not familiar that basically, banks gave out a bunch of
- 6:27Speaker 2: mortgages to people who they knew probably couldn't afford him. Yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and then they like gave people overseas the option of
- 6:37Speaker 2: basically gambling on whether those mortgages would pay off. And
- 6:42Speaker 2: what it meant is that they were like hedging their
- 6:44Speaker 2: bets if the mortgages failed, then they would make money.
- 6:47Speaker 2: That way if they were paid off, they would make
- 6:50Speaker 2: money because they were paid off exactly. And so yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 2: they they got rich. And Bill Murphy got in front
- 6:57Speaker 2: of the Senate and warned them that Goldman Sachs was
- 7:00Speaker 2: doing this, but no one gave a shit. Yep. And
- 7:03Speaker 2: then Bill Murphy gives a name Andrew Maguire. He was
- 7:06Speaker 2: a whistleblower. He gave Bill Murphy some insider information. Then
- 7:10Speaker 2: he and his wife got hit by a car and
- 7:12Speaker 2: killed the next day. That is always weird. Yep. When
- 7:15Speaker 2: stuff like that happens.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Whenever a whistleblower dies, especially when it's connected to massive
- 7:22Speaker 1: financial interests, you know, that's a red flag.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I would say, Yeah, the I think the most recent
- 7:29Speaker 2: examples there are two really high level people involved in
- 7:33Speaker 2: the Flint Water crisis on the activism side who turned
- 7:37Speaker 2: up dead. And protesters in Saint Louis. Yeah, who, there's
- 7:44Speaker 2: like six or seven who've turned up dead.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I believe seven.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and there police can just be like, hey, Saint
- 7:50Speaker 2: Louis is violent, what do you want us to do?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Exactly? Yeah, those are the people who are protesting in Ferguson.
- 7:56Speaker 1: About Ferguson right in twenty fourteen, and there have been
- 7:59Speaker 1: people who have been disappeared from the protests last year,
- 8:04Speaker 1: the police brutality protests, and that happens often, you know,
- 8:11Speaker 1: they just vanish.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't doubt that he's.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Telling no, absolutely not me. Isn't that basically what happens
- 8:18Speaker 1: in Michael Clayton, Like, yeah, like a financial industry I
- 8:21Speaker 1: have There is no institution more a moral than a
- 8:28Speaker 1: bank or financial institution, right, they are. They are the
- 8:32Speaker 1: absolute definition of pure evil and amorality.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's it's definitely not surprising that they know
- 8:41Speaker 2: after this guy. Also, he said he had his computer hacked,
- 8:44Speaker 2: his car stolen. Yeah, hit in the face with brass knuckles,
- 8:48Speaker 2: Jesus h and again yeah, I believe all that for sure.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It Snout's team meeting time, Okay, all right, all right, yeah,
- 8:57Speaker 2: do you have issues with this team meeting? Oh?
- 8:59Speaker 1: I think I've got a couple issues with this team meeting. Yeah.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Not a fan of Daniel.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he he really He's rude to Jesse Ventura at
- 9:10Speaker 2: the start of this. Yeah, because he says, uh, well,
- 9:14Speaker 2: he thinks Jesse's just mad because these guys are smarter
- 9:17Speaker 2: than him.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I I view listener, I screamed at the television. I
- 9:23Speaker 1: I full up streamed, screamed, I was soap. I'm sopissed off.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I can't even talk right now, because that is just
- 9:32Speaker 1: that is the excuse forever that that says. That's still
- 9:36Speaker 1: an excuse that people, uh pro capitalist people level at
- 9:41Speaker 1: anybody who criticizes a financial institution or something related to capitalism.
- 9:46Speaker 1: It's just well, you're just you're just mad that these
- 9:49Speaker 1: guys are so much smarter than you and they got
- 9:51Speaker 1: in on the ground floor and you know, pulled themselves
- 9:54Speaker 1: up by their bootstraps and you know, made a bunch
- 9:57Speaker 1: of money.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's an insane notion. People like this don't
- 10:01Speaker 2: pull themselves up from their bootstraps. They are dropped into
- 10:05Speaker 2: the middle of this at first, Like, especially the kind
- 10:08Speaker 2: of people we're talking about here, And I know there's
- 10:11Speaker 2: there are every once in a while, there's gonna be
- 10:14Speaker 2: an example of someone who did work really hard to
- 10:17Speaker 2: become one of the people who's currently destroying the planet. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 2: motherfuckers too.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Again, a weird story to find inspirational. I guess
- 10:29Speaker 1: it's more like a super villain origin story.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah. And when I was watching this, my thought was like,
- 10:34Speaker 2: imagine being skeptical that Goldman Sacks entered into a conspiracy
- 10:40Speaker 2: theory to make money in a shady way.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's like twenty eleven.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and Dan the Skeptic just is not buying it.
- 10:48Speaker 1: He sucks. I miss Alex the Skeptic. And look, I
- 10:52Speaker 1: know that these guys are just actors. They are reading
- 10:55Speaker 1: their lines and this poor guy has been cast as
- 10:58Speaker 1: the biggest asshole on the face of the planet. But
- 11:03Speaker 1: I hate him. This sucks.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a piece of shit.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I was so pissed at him this entire episode. There's
- 11:10Speaker 1: only a couple people who made me more angry in
- 11:13Speaker 1: this episode, and luckily they get yelled at.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So now it's time. The team meeting has ended, So
- 11:21Speaker 2: now it's time to disperse and everyone goes their separate ways.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Jesse Ventura says that Daniel is in New York City
- 11:28Speaker 2: trying to hook up with a Wall Street turncoat. I
- 11:31Speaker 2: don't know if that's how you should say that. I
- 11:33Speaker 2: guess hook up didn't have the same connotations in twenty ten.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Maybe well, no, it did, and you know, maybe that's
- 11:39Speaker 1: how they're going to get the information. Could be, but no,
- 11:43Speaker 1: long long standing tactic of espionage.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But before that, Jesse meets with William Black, who is
- 11:49Speaker 2: a white collar criminologist, which that almost feels more dangerous
- 11:55Speaker 2: than just being a criminologist.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, absolutely yes, because these people, the people that
- 12:01Speaker 1: you're going after, have the money to fuck you over,
- 12:05Speaker 1: big game.
- 12:06Speaker 2: You're just a regular criminologist. What's that serial killer gonna
- 12:09Speaker 2: do come after you? You're not his mo o. So he
- 12:12Speaker 2: says the two thousand and nine Wall Street meltdown was
- 12:14Speaker 2: caused by criminal activity, and you knock me over with
- 12:17Speaker 2: a feather when I heard, God, that's another time I
- 12:20Speaker 2: screamed at my TV. And then that's really all he's
- 12:26Speaker 2: got to say is that, yeah, this was criminal.
- 12:30Speaker 1: He kind of recites a few other like basic things
- 12:34Speaker 1: that we now just kind of know about the failure.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Yeah. And so now Daniel has his meeting with the
- 12:43Speaker 2: Wall Street whistleblower, who turns out to be a woman
- 12:47Speaker 2: named no Me Prinz. And I understand why he's trying
- 12:50Speaker 2: to hook up.
- 12:50Speaker 1: She's very pretty, I guess, so, I mean, good job man.
- 12:54Speaker 2: She calls Goldman Sachs government Sacks. That is kind of
- 12:58Speaker 2: a funny name.
- 12:58Speaker 1: It's a good line it's a good line.
- 13:00Speaker 2: And she calls him that because, whether Republican or Democrat,
- 13:05Speaker 2: that administration probably has lots of former Goldman Sachs executives
- 13:11Speaker 2: in their cabinet, which is a question that comes up later.
- 13:15Speaker 2: And I don't know if I completely buy the rich
- 13:18Speaker 2: person's explanation for it, but I sort of buy it.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I don't buy it really honestly, doesn't really
- 13:27Speaker 1: make any sense. This is this is just not an
- 13:30Speaker 1: organization that needs to have a sway in politics.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean from that standpoint, but are presidents
- 13:38Speaker 2: even allowed to not have bank types on their cabinets anymore?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like it's a lot. It's in the Patriot Act.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's just so long, no one career probably.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yeah. One of one former director of Goldman Sachs was
- 13:51Speaker 2: Treasury secretary under George W. Bush. Yeah, Tim Geidner, Obama's
- 13:56Speaker 2: treasury secretary. It's a former Goldman Sachs executive who oversaw
- 14:01Speaker 2: the bank bailout. That's convenient.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I just I just don't, you know, call call me crazy,
- 14:08Speaker 1: call me radical. I don't think that's ethical.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I don't that's a controversial stance, but I know.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I think it actually is. Honestly, that sucks.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it depends on what standpoint you're looking
- 14:22Speaker 2: at it from. I know there's people out there who
- 14:24Speaker 2: will be like, well they have experience with money, of course.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I do. The majority of people wouldn't find
- 14:32Speaker 1: wouldn't really blink an eye at that, which sucks.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah. So, just when I think nothing interesting is going
- 14:38Speaker 2: to come from this episode, we take a trip to Rome.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Not we don't literally go to Rome, but Daniel the
- 14:45Speaker 2: Skeptic talks to a guy named Michael Stum, who, I
- 14:47Speaker 2: shit you not is credited as a quote member of
- 14:51Speaker 2: an internet message board. That's how Jesse Venture introduces this man.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Michael Strum is a member of an internet message board,
- 14:59Speaker 2: so he's an expert, then, big expert, big time.
- 15:02Speaker 1: This this has happened a couple times on this show,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and it's it's always funny. I mean, I guess it's
- 15:10Speaker 1: I guess it's a time capsule to twenty eleven. But
- 15:12Speaker 1: but was that a credit in twenty eleven? Even now,
- 15:16Speaker 1: there's no way that was like a good like indicator
- 15:20Speaker 1: of a person's knowledge, well.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Even less so in twenty eleven, because we were still
- 15:26Speaker 2: using those things like it was. We were at the
- 15:29Speaker 2: tail end of it, but we were definitely still using
- 15:31Speaker 2: internet message boards for sure.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I mean in Reddit has been around forever. I mean
- 15:35Speaker 1: this it might as well be like, uh, you know,
- 15:38Speaker 1: gold Gilded Redditor. He's received so many gold and silver medals. Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't understand why they wait. And because we've had
- 15:48Speaker 1: on like random people like that guy in the Plum
- 15:52Speaker 1: Island episode who was just like some guy that they
- 15:56Speaker 1: found and it's just Man.
- 15:59Speaker 2: The blogger who broke the story.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Right, you can't put any more effort into this.
- 16:04Speaker 2: And here's what I really hate about the section of
- 16:08Speaker 2: the show. First, the guy Michael Strum annoys me to
- 16:13Speaker 2: no end. Yeah, he is clearly playing the role of
- 16:17Speaker 2: conspiracy expert. Like he's smoking cigarettes. Yeah, and he's got
- 16:20Speaker 2: the little fucking glasses and he's.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Doing a poor man's version of the White Van Guy.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yes, yes, he's the White Van Guy when he was
- 16:30Speaker 2: in his mid forties to early fifties.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and hadn't quite nailed the threatening Bond villain monologue.
- 16:37Speaker 2: He says a guy went on this message board that
- 16:39Speaker 2: he is an exclusive member of and predicted the exact
- 16:43Speaker 2: date the financial collapse would happen. Was it was it
- 16:47Speaker 2: one day? I guess no, I know, like the thing
- 16:50Speaker 2: that happened over a period of time, it.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Was like a short period of time. Is the thing
- 16:55Speaker 1: like it kind of cascaded, But it wasn't a single
- 17:00Speaker 1: I don't I would, you know what. I would have
- 17:02Speaker 1: to do some research, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't
- 17:05Speaker 1: like a day that you could demark as this is
- 17:09Speaker 1: where it breaks fund starts to fundamentally break.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Down, right, Yeah, it has it stands to reason that
- 17:16Speaker 2: it would be a progressive thing.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yeah, And predicting the date is not necessarily like that's
- 17:23Speaker 1: not you know, prophecy, like if people were predicting it,
- 17:28Speaker 1: if people were warning about it.
- 17:30Speaker 2: There's a guy on Twitter who like four or five
- 17:33Speaker 2: years ago tweeted, Kobe Bryant is going to die in
- 17:36Speaker 2: a helicopter crash someday. Sure, And it's because Kobe Bryant
- 17:40Speaker 2: used a helicopter to commute all the time because he
- 17:43Speaker 2: didn't want to be in LA traffic.
- 17:44Speaker 1: So yeah, and helicopters are dangerous.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's an easy so it's an easy uh
- 17:49Speaker 2: easy joke to make on the internet.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But for sure, And but I mean, like for real,
- 17:54Speaker 1: like financial like analysts were looking at the housing market
- 17:58Speaker 1: and we're like, this is going to collapse soon. So
- 18:02Speaker 1: a guy on the message board knowing this, you know,
- 18:05Speaker 1: is not that surprising.
- 18:07Speaker 2: What really makes me angry about this interview with Michael
- 18:11Speaker 2: Strom is he mentions that this is all tied to
- 18:15Speaker 2: a secretive group called Legattis, Yeah, a group of the
- 18:19Speaker 2: richest business men in the world. And then he says
- 18:22Speaker 2: they've been compared to Opus Day. Yeah, And and the
- 18:26Speaker 2: skeptic is like, you mean from the Da Vinci Code.
- 18:30Speaker 1: This is like something out of a Dan Brown novel,
- 18:33Speaker 1: which just tells you it's twenty eleven, baby.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And when when I hear that, I'm like, oh, cool,
- 18:38Speaker 2: well that's what the next five or six minutes is
- 18:40Speaker 2: going to be about at least. And Nope, they just
- 18:43Speaker 2: move on and we never hear about Legatis.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that never ever comes back up. This is one
- 18:49Speaker 1: of the couple of things in this episode where I'm
- 18:52Speaker 1: just like, dude, you have there's plenty of real shit
- 18:57Speaker 1: to talk about when it comes to Wall Street. All
- 19:00Speaker 1: you're doing is muddying the waters when you bring in
- 19:02Speaker 1: the fucking Opus Day and like all this other shit
- 19:07Speaker 1: he's about to talk about. Like, it's just frustrating. Man.
- 19:10Speaker 2: So now team meeting time, right time for a team meeting.
- 19:14Speaker 2: It's time to talk about the Federal Reserve Bank, which
- 19:18Speaker 2: jesse Ventura seems to be very sure he can just
- 19:21Speaker 2: get right in the door because he's just got to
- 19:23Speaker 2: meet a guy first.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Continuing the trend of jesse Ventura just assuming that as
- 19:29Speaker 1: the most important person on the planet, he is allowed
- 19:33Speaker 1: to enter whatever building he wants to enter.
- 19:36Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on the Federal Reserve?
- 19:40Speaker 1: You know, it's not something that I have necessarily devoted
- 19:45Speaker 1: a lot of research too, you know, so I don't
- 19:50Speaker 1: have any strong feelings on it one way or the other.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I do have some strong feelings on you know, some
- 19:57Speaker 1: of the people who have strong feelings about it, and
- 20:00Speaker 1: it kind of makes me lean towards like, you know,
- 20:04Speaker 1: if that's the opposition. I don't know that it's necessarily
- 20:08Speaker 1: that bad.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I just in general don't trust huge government institutions
- 20:13Speaker 2: like that. I don't doubt that the Federal Reserve is
- 20:16Speaker 2: up to something.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I mean for sure. Again, this is my blanket statement
- 20:20Speaker 1: whenever we talk about any of these fucking government agencies.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Is like, you know, by default, my trust is very
- 20:26Speaker 1: low for these things. But as far as the FED, like,
- 20:30Speaker 1: you know, it's fucked up because it's a capital you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: it's enforcing the capitalist hierarchy, and it's fucked up because
- 20:38Speaker 1: you know, it's a financial system within a political system.
- 20:43Speaker 1: But like beyond that, I don't know that it's anything
- 20:46Speaker 1: more sinister than the you know, continuation of capitalism. I
- 20:51Speaker 1: think that's the sinister as it gets.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Yeah, if it wasn't the Federal Reserve, they would have
- 20:55Speaker 2: found some way. Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Again, this is just a thing that if you're going
- 21:00Speaker 1: to be a capitalist government, you need to have a
- 21:04Speaker 1: central bank, Like that's what you need.
- 21:07Speaker 2: And so it turns out his guy that he has
- 21:10Speaker 2: to go meet, who he somehow thinks is going to
- 21:13Speaker 2: get him in the door of the Federal Reserve is
- 21:16Speaker 2: Ron Paul. So now Jesse Ventura is in a Fusion
- 21:20Speaker 2: Center database somewhere or having affiliated with Ron Paul.
- 21:25Speaker 1: And this is Ron Paul. Like I believe he's out
- 21:29Speaker 1: of the Senate now and he is about he's running
- 21:32Speaker 1: for president in twenty eleven, in twenty twelve, So this
- 21:37Speaker 1: is a like a this is his version of like
- 21:39Speaker 1: a pr play. He's like, this is him appearing on
- 21:42Speaker 1: like the Today Show, but it's.
- 21:45Speaker 2: A little bit yeah, the Today Show for libertarians Conspiracy
- 21:50Speaker 2: Theory with Jesse Ventura. He says the Federal Reserve deserves
- 21:54Speaker 2: to blame for the housing bubble, and yeah, probably, I
- 21:57Speaker 2: don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I mean yes, I mean I think there are lots
- 22:01Speaker 1: of people and institutions that deserve blame for the housing crisis,
- 22:06Speaker 1: and you know, systems of economics that are responsible for
- 22:11Speaker 1: the housing crisis.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's like nine to eleven. Like there's that
- 22:16Speaker 2: documentary from the guy who had the computer program who
- 22:18Speaker 2: was like this would have stopped nine to eleven, and
- 22:20Speaker 2: it's like probably not on its own, Like yeah, like
- 22:24Speaker 2: it's and this is, you know, the same thing.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah, he and the guys, you know, not to skip ahead,
- 22:30Speaker 1: but the people later in the episode just make the
- 22:34Speaker 1: the cojin point that there, you know, this is the
- 22:37Speaker 1: system that we have, Yeah, and the system that we
- 22:41Speaker 1: have led to the collapse as assuredly as you know,
- 22:47Speaker 1: anything else might happen, Like it was just like a
- 22:49Speaker 1: sure thing that it was going to happen eventually.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Ron Paul also says something that I found a little confusing. First,
- 22:56Speaker 2: he says the Chairman of the Federal Reserve is a
- 22:59Speaker 2: day dictator.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 23:01Speaker 2: But then he also says he's beholden to the banks
- 23:03Speaker 2: and corporations above him. Is that how dictators work?
- 23:06Speaker 1: I mean some dictators. Yeah, but like, I definitely don't
- 23:10Speaker 1: think that the chairman of the Filler Reserve is a dictator.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I think, yeah, that seems like a stretch.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and Ron Paul is you know, should be said,
- 23:22Speaker 1: he noted fabulous. He he loves to make up some
- 23:27Speaker 1: fun exaggerations.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Before Ron Paul gets out of here. He does, he
- 23:33Speaker 2: does drop a joke on us. Jesse Ventura says something
- 23:37Speaker 2: about Goldman Sachs, and Ron Paul says, does Goldman mean
- 23:40Speaker 2: they have the gold.
- 23:42Speaker 1: And they keep it in sacks?
- 23:44Speaker 2: Yeah? Exactly. I feel like he was high during this interview. Man.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I just Ron Paul sucks And it was a real
- 23:53Speaker 1: bummer when he showed up on this show. Honestly, Uh yeah, how.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Did you feel about Matt Tayebi showing up? Because that
- 24:00Speaker 2: guy's an actual journal Yes.
- 24:01Speaker 1: He's a real guy, and I think it's cool, like
- 24:04Speaker 1: and the you know, again, he's in he's uh, integral
- 24:08Speaker 1: to the best part of the episode, and so I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: glad that he's on board.
- 24:12Speaker 2: He mentions a thing that was really interesting about the
- 24:16Speaker 2: housing bubble and when it collapsed, when the banks were
- 24:20Speaker 2: putting some of their rules in place for how they
- 24:22Speaker 2: were gonna allow people to trade these mortgages, they had
- 24:27Speaker 2: to in some cases tailor their rules so they didn't
- 24:32Speaker 2: run a foul of state gaming laws. Yeah, so they
- 24:36Speaker 2: were quite literally gambling with people's money exactly, And yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 2: him being here kind of adds a little bit of
- 24:43Speaker 2: credibility to what they're talking about, which so should make
- 24:47Speaker 2: it no surprise that we eventually find out this is
- 24:50Speaker 2: exactly what happened, right, Like everything they're describing really did.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Happen, absolutely, And it's good that there's someone here to
- 24:58Speaker 1: lend credibility because I think we we kind of brushed
- 25:01Speaker 1: past it. But there is a moment when someone early
- 25:05Speaker 1: on is describing how the modern financial control of our country,
- 25:13Speaker 1: uh was brought about by a group of five bankers who,
- 25:17Speaker 1: oh who run things. And luckily that's the only time
- 25:23Speaker 1: that they brush up against that particular anti submitic conspiracy theory,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but it definitely was in there, and it definitely made
- 25:30Speaker 1: me go whoa.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, what a shock that that would show up
- 25:34Speaker 2: on an episode of Conspiracy.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I wish I could remember. Sure, Yeah, I wish I
- 25:37Speaker 1: could remember who it was you brought it up.
- 25:39Speaker 2: It's probably Ron Paul.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I think it might have been because he was talking
- 25:43Speaker 1: a lot about the history of the Federal Reserve. Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 1: but I can't remember specifically, and I don't want to
- 25:49Speaker 1: necessarily say that.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I do like that Goldman Sachs moved to a building
- 25:53Speaker 2: with no signage. Yeah, but also that's that's that should
- 25:57Speaker 2: not come as that much of a surprise.
- 25:59Speaker 1: They're they're probably secretive. There's a lot of stuff similar
- 26:03Speaker 1: to the government. There's not much I wouldn't believe about
- 26:05Speaker 1: Goldman Sex.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. I mean what did we think of
- 26:09Speaker 2: Ross Mandel? Who is his credit is indicted Wall Street trader.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, you know, I don't know. He's interesting, he's
- 26:19Speaker 1: got a weird vibe.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, really solid source.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a solid source. But he's agro.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You know, he's very aggressive and night on the Staten
- 26:28Speaker 2: Island ferry like the goddamn Wu Tang clan, which I
- 26:34Speaker 2: was really intrigued because at one point, Jesse Venture is
- 26:38Speaker 2: like I left Ross on the Staten Island ferry and
- 26:41Speaker 2: Jesse Venture is just still on the Staten Island ferry.
- 26:44Speaker 2: So he was like, all right, fuck you Ross, I'm
- 26:46Speaker 2: gonna stand somewhere else on the boat.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Now, I'm going to go stand by my black Dodge Challenger,
- 26:55Speaker 1: featured prominently throughout these episodes.
- 26:58Speaker 2: It sure is. I mean, I guess this is the
- 27:01Speaker 2: audience for the Dodge Challenger.
- 27:03Speaker 1: You know, it's a cool the old classic Dodge Challenger.
- 27:06Speaker 1: It's pretty pretty.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Red car Ross is First, he describes himself as small peanuts,
- 27:12Speaker 2: which I'm assuming means he just stole like three billion
- 27:14Speaker 2: dollars instead of fifty billion dollars exactly. And I also
- 27:18Speaker 2: don't know if small peanuts is a thing.
- 27:20Speaker 1: We say, uh no, I think he's mixing up small potatoes,
- 27:25Speaker 1: well small there's small potatoes, small fry, and then there's
- 27:30Speaker 1: peanuts referring to like not a lot of something. What
- 27:34Speaker 1: a fucking idiot, Yeah, what a dumbass. Also, fuck him
- 27:38Speaker 1: for being an indicted trader, like that sucks. Like he's
- 27:43Speaker 1: not a good person.
- 27:44Speaker 2: And he's very angry that he's been indicted and none
- 27:48Speaker 2: of the other criminals have been and I bet they
- 27:50Speaker 2: picked this guy as the fall guy mostly on personality ground.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yes, yes, because he he's not going to be the
- 27:57Speaker 1: kind of guy who gets like sympathy from.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Jury No no, and not from his co workers either.
- 28:04Speaker 2: He seems like a whole fucking handful to be around. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 2: and did not like his vibe again, and he's got
- 28:10Speaker 2: a line that he loves using, which is that the banks,
- 28:16Speaker 2: the people behind this conspiracy theory, Yeah, raped the wealth
- 28:20Speaker 2: of America.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Oh no, not the wealth.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And that's that's the word he keeps using.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Is I hated that I don't like, you know what.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I was on the fence, but I now I don't
- 28:33Speaker 1: like this guy. I don't like him at all. And
- 28:35Speaker 1: I think he's a detriment to the later the last
- 28:38Speaker 1: scene of the episode, which is otherwise excellent. Yes, but
- 28:44Speaker 1: like he just fucks everything up because he's too agro.
- 28:47Speaker 1: He maybe he's like one of these wormwood guys, like
- 28:51Speaker 1: you know, like it could be like Jesus, you know,
- 28:54Speaker 1: maybe that was his deal for his insider trading thing.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So the alligation here is that this is all a
- 29:01Speaker 2: scheme to privatize social security. Another thing they don't explore
- 29:06Speaker 2: at all. They just throw it out there and then
- 29:08Speaker 2: well we move on.
- 29:09Speaker 1: And because probably because you know, Ron Paul doesn't come back.
- 29:15Speaker 1: But that's a big bugbear of Ron Paul's. Was so
- 29:20Speaker 1: security he hated it.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Oh that makes sense because he's an asshole. So now
- 29:24Speaker 2: it's time for this big interview that we've been talking about.
- 29:30Speaker 1: This this was wild at the.
- 29:32Speaker 2: End of the episode. Do they ever say who he's
- 29:35Speaker 2: talking to?
- 29:36Speaker 1: I don't remember. I definitely don't remember any of their
- 29:39Speaker 1: names or positions. It seemed like they were just generally
- 29:44Speaker 1: executives of some sort at Goldman Sacks. I think it
- 29:50Speaker 1: was Goldman, and I think at least one of them
- 29:52Speaker 1: was from Goldman, and then there were like others who
- 29:55Speaker 1: were from other places. Again, this was all very vague,
- 29:58Speaker 1: but like I did, unlike some of the people that
- 30:01Speaker 1: they featured on this show, I did not get the
- 30:03Speaker 1: sense that these were actors. And the presence of Matt
- 30:08Speaker 1: Tayibe also lends this like a real weight of credibility
- 30:13Speaker 1: that I think, you know, they might talk to Matt
- 30:16Speaker 1: Tayibe if they wouldn't talk to Jesse Ventura.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Yeah, if nothing else, I'm jealous that he got to
- 30:22Speaker 2: be in the room for this.
- 30:24Speaker 1: And he is great. Like I again, like it's so
- 30:29Speaker 1: perfect because he is so simple in so many ways,
- 30:34Speaker 1: Like he just he's not really able to form like long,
- 30:39Speaker 1: complex thoughts, and so his questions are just direct and
- 30:45Speaker 1: basic and elementary, and those are the kinds of questions
- 30:48Speaker 1: that the dudes in that position never have to answer
- 30:52Speaker 1: and are totally baffled by and unable to come up
- 30:56Speaker 1: with a reasonable answer for anything that he says.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah. The only time they get into a point that
- 31:05Speaker 2: sort of makes sense is when Jesse venture is like, well,
- 31:09Speaker 2: what why do all the top people work at Goldman
- 31:11Speaker 2: Sachs And they're like, well, it's the biggest and they
- 31:13Speaker 2: attract the most talented people. Yeah, And he says, you know,
- 31:17Speaker 2: it's kind of like a high level college football program
- 31:20Speaker 2: where they, you know, attract the best players every year,
- 31:23Speaker 2: and Jesse Ventura goes, yeah, but do they win the
- 31:26Speaker 2: national championship every year? And yeah, kind of like there's
- 31:30Speaker 2: not a ton of parody in college football. University of Alabama,
- 31:34Speaker 2: for example, won the national championship in two thousand and nine,
- 31:38Speaker 2: twenty eleven, twenty twelve, twenty fifteen, twenty seventeen and twenty
- 31:43Speaker 2: twenty twenty twenty, people don't say it that way.
- 31:46Speaker 1: And this was a thing that I did not notice
- 31:49Speaker 1: at all because I don't know anything about sports.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm the Matt Tayebe of this no here
- 31:57Speaker 2: to jump in with all the sports information.
- 31:59Speaker 1: And he's there and he's not like I think he
- 32:03Speaker 1: gets the importance of jesse Ventura's simplistic questioning, like because
- 32:09Speaker 1: he's there for backup and factual information, but he lets
- 32:14Speaker 1: he mostly lets jesse Ventura and grill these guys.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because jesse Ventura is there to body slam
- 32:20Speaker 2: the Wall Street bully boys. That's what the voiceover says
- 32:24Speaker 2: before this interview starts.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And and he kind of does. I think those guys
- 32:29Speaker 1: were on the ropes at the end of that of
- 32:32Speaker 1: this interview.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah. They they start getting desperate with the questions. Like
- 32:37Speaker 2: at one point one of them is like, so you're
- 32:39Speaker 2: mad about the CEO of Goldman Sachs making forty million
- 32:42Speaker 2: a year but not someone who plays for the New
- 32:45Speaker 2: York Yankees. Yeah, it's like, motherfucker, that guy playing for
- 32:49Speaker 2: the Yankees makes the Yankees more money than they pay him. Yep,
- 32:52Speaker 2: like that is not the same thing. And I think
- 32:55Speaker 2: it's Matt Taibi, who's like, taxpayers don't write, hey, baseball
- 32:59Speaker 2: player sally exactly a salary.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And like he had, like this guy, there's the one
- 33:04Speaker 1: guy in I think he had. He's the guy with
- 33:07Speaker 1: the gold tie who was the worst of all of them,
- 33:12Speaker 1: just the biggest fucking prick, and he is just constantly like,
- 33:19Speaker 1: you know, uh, you say that they got bonuses of
- 33:22Speaker 1: forty eight million dollars, but we live in New York
- 33:26Speaker 1: City and so forty eight million dollars isn't really that
- 33:30Speaker 1: much money when you consider that, And I'm like, it's
- 33:33Speaker 1: a bonus. It's the bonus, is what it is. It's
- 33:37Speaker 1: a bonus paid by taxpayers on top of the obscene
- 33:43Speaker 1: salary that he's already paid.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And here's the thing. If you give me forty eight
- 33:47Speaker 2: million dollars and drop me in the middle of New
- 33:49Speaker 2: York City, I promise you I will never have to
- 33:52Speaker 2: work a day again in my life.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely forty eight million dollars I would have so
- 34:00Speaker 1: I would be able to give money to my kids.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's one thing I don't understand why more NFL
- 34:07Speaker 2: players like this quarterback of plays for Buffalo. Josh Allen
- 34:11Speaker 2: just signed a deal where he's making like two hundred
- 34:14Speaker 2: and fifty million over the course of six years. Yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I would retire at the end of those six years. Yeah,
- 34:20Speaker 2: I'd be like, I'm set. What else do I need?
- 34:23Speaker 2: I want to keep playing in Buffalo the rest of
- 34:26Speaker 2: my life. Yeah, I mean riskin not being able to walk.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Fuck that, get me out of here.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I mean there has to be with something like that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I guess there has to be a level of liking
- 34:36Speaker 1: it and enjoying the camaraderie and all that stuff. But
- 34:42Speaker 1: still I would fucking retire Jesus.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd go coach my kids. Fucking pee wee lea. Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Absolutely, Yeah.
- 34:48Speaker 2: And that's but that's kind of one of Jesse's questions
- 34:51Speaker 2: is like, so it's not enough to get forty million
- 34:55Speaker 2: dollars one year. Yeah, you have to get forty million
- 34:57Speaker 2: the next year in the next year, right steer And
- 35:00Speaker 2: they're just like, yeah, yeah, that's that is what we need.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And again and they and they keep repeating this and
- 35:09Speaker 1: they are not wrong, but like they're like, we're this
- 35:13Speaker 1: is just the system. We're we're we are operating the
- 35:17Speaker 1: systems at the highest efficiency that we that is possible,
- 35:22Speaker 1: and it's not our fault that that led to a
- 35:28Speaker 1: massive collapse that ruined millions of lives. And he is
- 35:33Speaker 1: correct that it not and that they're not it's not
- 35:37Speaker 1: their fault, but like that is what they were doing
- 35:40Speaker 1: is playing the system as it was designed to be
- 35:43Speaker 1: played at the highest possible level, and it just happened
- 35:49Speaker 1: to lead to a massive financial crass that they then
- 35:53Speaker 1: got bailed out by the fucking Obama administration who fucking
- 35:58Speaker 1: paid them millions and millions of dollars instead of paying
- 36:01Speaker 1: out the goddamn American public. Ruined millions of lives. I
- 36:06Speaker 1: don't know if you could tell if I'm passionate about
- 36:08Speaker 1: this this topic.
- 36:09Speaker 2: It's worth being passionate over.
- 36:11Speaker 1: I like, it's something that's still I'm just I am
- 36:15Speaker 1: still actively angry about it. If we talk when it
- 36:19Speaker 1: comes up, it just it lights that fuse.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I mean, this is definitely a huge scandal.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Like all of this, like all the questions being asked
- 36:27Speaker 2: here are proper, Yeah, and makes sense, and I hate
- 36:31Speaker 2: that they keep bringing up Well, if you want this
- 36:34Speaker 2: to change, then just write laws that will change it. Yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 2: Like motherfucker. Our politicians are all beholden to you exactly.
- 36:43Speaker 2: You understand for us to get those laws, we're going
- 36:46Speaker 2: to have to take to the streets and murder most
- 36:49Speaker 2: of you.
- 36:49Speaker 1: And Jesse says, like, uh, you are you control the politicians.
- 36:54Speaker 1: He's like that's correct, And I just love that. Jesse
- 36:58Speaker 1: like just came back at them with that, And I
- 37:00Speaker 1: really like, we're not getting We're really not conveying how
- 37:05Speaker 1: great the scene is. If it's possible, you should watch it.
- 37:08Speaker 1: If nothing else in this episode, it's it's so entertaining,
- 37:12Speaker 1: and just the vibe in the room is so wired,
- 37:17Speaker 1: like everyone is just kind of nervy, and like the
- 37:21Speaker 1: Wall Street guys are just obviously not used to having
- 37:25Speaker 1: to defend their lifestyle at all, Like, and it's it's
- 37:30Speaker 1: really worth it to see that. It just exposes the snakes.
- 37:34Speaker 1: They are just fucking vipers and when when they're pushed
- 37:39Speaker 1: it to a corner, they just can't get get out
- 37:43Speaker 1: of it.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Jesse Ventura is very angry during this entire interview, right, Lisa,
- 37:48Speaker 2: like if people need to be angry about this.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And then they bring in Ross Mandel and he is
- 37:54Speaker 1: so fucking stupid and unreasonable.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He's he's like looking at the camera while he's delivering
- 38:01Speaker 2: his rape the Wealth of America.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Polog He comes in and totally just takes over this
- 38:08Speaker 1: wonderful scene and just drives it into the ground and
- 38:11Speaker 1: ruins the scene. It sucks. I was really bummed out
- 38:14Speaker 1: by it.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone seems weirded out when he comes in.
- 38:17Speaker 1: He seems like a fucking weirdo. Yeah, fucking insider trader.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy that they wanted us to feel sorry
- 38:25Speaker 2: for that guy just because his argument was well, a
- 38:27Speaker 2: bunch of other people did this too and they didn't
- 38:29Speaker 2: get caught.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, no, totally, But like that is a thing where
- 38:33Speaker 1: Jesse having a sympathetic ear in that moment does kind
- 38:37Speaker 1: of reveal who that guy is, Like yeah, and that
- 38:40Speaker 1: he's not sorry for ripping off millions of dollars from
- 38:44Speaker 1: innocent people. He uh just thinks other people should get
- 38:48Speaker 1: if he gets in trouble, other people should do.
- 38:50Speaker 2: And if you want a more infuriating version of that story,
- 38:55Speaker 2: there's a documentary about the one bank that was prosecuted
- 38:59Speaker 2: over this and it is a small family owned I
- 39:03Speaker 2: think Korean Bank.
- 39:06Speaker 1: I have heard about this, and it's.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Insane, Like and the thing is, they didn't really do anything.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Now when you dig in to the evidence against them,
- 39:15Speaker 2: they didn't do shit. Yeah, but they're the only bank
- 39:18Speaker 2: that got brought down for this. Yes, like that, like
- 39:21Speaker 2: be mad about that. I have them on this episode,
- 39:23Speaker 2: not Ross Mandel.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Exactly or yeah exactly, And like this is the whole
- 39:27Speaker 1: thing about talking about this subject also, is that these
- 39:33Speaker 1: giant financial institutions and these huge banks are destroying public
- 39:39Speaker 1: trust in the very concept of banking, which is extremely
- 39:45Speaker 1: damaging to like an important found fabric of our country.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Like if a bank operates ethically and just you know,
- 39:55Speaker 1: keeps people's money and gives loans and does like normal, safe,
- 40:01Speaker 1: like above board bank things, then they are not contributing
- 40:07Speaker 1: to this like disastrous financial institutions that run our country.
- 40:13Speaker 1: But like those things get overshadowed by the Chases and
- 40:16Speaker 1: the Goldman Sachs and all of these things, and it's
- 40:20Speaker 1: just pathetic.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Yeah, And Jesse's angry, Yeah, so angry. He bangs on
- 40:24Speaker 2: the table. Yeah, says, let's go the way out. He
- 40:28Speaker 2: turns and says, and I'll be fighting for the little
- 40:31Speaker 2: guy and kicking your asses.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Yeah hell yeah, Now I want to smoke weed with
- 40:37Speaker 1: Jesse again.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, he's back back in our good graces, out
- 40:41Speaker 2: of the doghouse, which probably an opinion that would get
- 40:44Speaker 2: us canceled right now, pretty right wing on the last episode.
- 40:48Speaker 1: So yeah, but I've smoked weed with lots of people.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I've smoked weed with people who are in jail
- 40:54Speaker 2: for murder now, So I.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Mean I would rather smoke weed with someone like that
- 40:58Speaker 1: than a Republican.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah, at least they're in jail for the murders they committed. Yeah,
- 41:04Speaker 2: or you know, I don't like Republicans.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Was it like justified? I don't know, like none every.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Oh no, he robbed a drug dealer and then tried
- 41:11Speaker 2: to blame his best friend for it.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Oh shit, yeah wow.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Not not a good thing at all.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Know, that's that seems that's a bad guy, but.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Real asshole who loved to talk about how good he
- 41:21Speaker 2: was at karate.
- 41:22Speaker 1: But he shouldn't be in jail.
- 41:23Speaker 2: But anyway, so that's our episode. Remember to check your
- 41:28Speaker 2: pets for ticks, everybody. Uh, do we have anything to
- 41:33Speaker 2: plug before we get out of here? Uh?
- 41:36Speaker 1: You can find me on Twitter and uh twitch at
- 41:40Speaker 1: high there hidar Uh and you know if you look
- 41:45Speaker 1: up into the night sky and the sun is just
- 41:48Speaker 1: right Wait, what, never mind, I don't know.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I was happy a joke.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I'm kind of high. I've had to deal with this.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I had to deal with this Wall Street shit somehow.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I would have really freaked out if I wasn't.
- 42:01Speaker 2: H follow the show on Instagram at Conspira Pops and uh,
- 42:05Speaker 2: that's all I got. Let's get the hell out of here.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Olivia say goodbye, bye, goodbye everybody. We love you.
