- Blake: Welcome back. Welcome back everyone to another episode of Mention It All Again. I am Blake and I'm here with my co-host. Casey: Casey, hey y'all, hey all What's up? Blake: Hey all. ⁓ we are going to business school today. We are we're clocking into our MBA program and we are going to be evaluating the the funniest, most memorable, failed, mostly failed. Yeah, mostly failed. Casey: Most largely failed. I will say also, speaking of business school, this is legitimate because this is probably the most research I have done for a pod episode thus far. I felt like I was back in school. It was a little bit fun. I'm like, Shannon business, Giselle business, history of business opening. When was it closed? Like, let's let's investigate. Blake: Ha ha. Like, let's fucking go. And I feel like with housewife businesses, because there's so many of them, like, that's why I've said like failed, because I I just assume like a lot of them a lot of them don't like succeed, but some of them like just kind of continue on being like mediocre businesses that they never talk about again. But they're not gone. They're just like Casey: Right. I was gonna say, like a lot of them are failed in like the public mind and in like the general perception of what you would consider to be like super successful, especially from somebody who like already is kind of famous, but they're still like sneakily available on like a website that makes no noise, that's still coded to like twenty twelve, like whatever. Blake: Yeah. Right. Which I feel like that is for a business basically failed. Because to me that's just like you got lazy and this was a like you got so excited to have like this like skinny girl moment or whatever. And then when it kinda just was like a lot of work and you're not like immediately seeing this like huge empire, you kind of were just like, ⁓ never mind. Casey: Right, it's giving a little bit like there was extra product 'cause we thought this would be more popular, so we'll just keep it up until we run run all the way loose, which might be never. We might never reach it. Blake: Right. Which which might be never cause again we forgot that you were still making it. Like, yeah, I I've always I've really wanted to do this episode for a while because I I think that Housewife businesses are such an integral part of the show. Like, first of all, sometimes they got nothing going on except for the fact that they are launching a business, launching a product, and that's their whole entire storyline and sometimes like it's a non event. Casey: Very much so. Blake: But sometimes it causes a lot of drama with the women. Sometimes it provides like an avenue for drama, like a launch party. and I feel like there are obviously just some housewife businesses that are just like so iconic to the lore of housewives. Like I've always wanted to obviously not they're not all created equally, but I've I've kinda always wanted to do like a rundown of like the most important ones. ⁓ and like kind of almost like investigate what it says about each woman, like the way that they did their business and whether it was like more successful or not or not successful at all and like where they were at in their life and what prompted them to do it. I find it very, very interesting. ⁓ so I'm excited to it's yeah. I mean it's it's, you know, I feel like Casey: Right. Yeah, that's profound. Yeah it is. Blake: It's ⁓ profound is a that's a great word. And you know we I know I just kind of went with that. I was like profound exactly. And then I like couldn't start started stumbling over my words, like I don't think I have anything. ⁓ And in the same way that women's stories matter, women's businesses matter, and we stay in women's business. So Casey: Damn right, it is profound, yes. You said yes, keep it pushing, it is, yeah. Exactly, madam, you have hit the nail on the head. Ooh Blake: ⁓ right, did you like that? Did you like that one? We're like we're really doing the word thing today. Casey: And ⁓ a disclaimer because people anytime you have to select a certain amount of content to make your episode digestible, there's always gonna be a comment or a a viewer of someone that's like, You forgot this, and like, wait, I like this one. There are so many that I like. There are so many that I I would love to sit here with Blake for the next 24 hours and do every do a new business every every tick of the hour clock with y'all, but that just can't be happening. So for this episode, we have begrudgingly chosen 10. And really it's more than 10, because some of them were just umbrella terming under the housewife if she's gone multiple directions to kind of cheat the system a little bit. But we've chosen ten. Blake: Ha ha ha. If she's a Maven. Casey: Housewife. Housewives. Blake: Yeah, and I feel like I feel like the ones that we put on this list f are ones that spiritually feel more on the failed side. So like there will be ones that you're like, Why didn't you go with this one? That it's like this one's really big and it's like, well, it's like we didn't ignore it, but this list kind of just i it you'll see what we're we're talking about, but they're Casey: Yeah. Right. Well if if it's just big, like in like a just a regular business way, then like what's fun what would be fun about us talking about that? Like we're not we're not stockbrokers. Like we're not gonna go into the the current situation of like actively successful businesses. That's not what I'm about here. No. Okay, if you think that's fun, I mean go good for you. Probably g better. I know, I do that too. Blake: Well, I'll give you an example. Right. We're not That's not fun. Well, I mean, no, it's not. And I was trying to like I was trying to like play both sides. Like, well it could be, but no. I mean my my example is just that like for example you're gonna be like, why isn't like Wild Rose Beauty on here? And when we were doing the 'cause it's 'cause it's still it's still around and it's it's a much more nuanced situation and I I I will say I like Casey: 'Cause it's so successful. Blake: almost I put it on the list when I was making my like giant just off the top of my head like what can I think of and I put in parentheses so that Casey wouldn't get mad at me. I was like it was like still in business question mark, confused because of the bankruptcy, but I wasn't sure if that meant like gone. And so Casey reminded me that she's still kicking and Casey: Yeah. I think she filed for bankruptcy. That's I think you're you're thinking that because of Pinky and Kelly's like bankruptcy ambush. She was like very like she lost a shit ton of money. I don't think she ever filed for bankruptcy though. Maybe she said I'm bankrupt. Blake: ⁓ yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. Yeah Yeah, I know maybe you're you're right. I think it was just the like agreement thing she signed and I think she got her like rights back. No. Anyway, but that was Exactly right. And so that was that's an example of like you're not gonna see that because it's just not fundamentally in line with the spirit of this episode, which is funny and mostly failed housewives businesses. So on that note, we're ranking from like least funny onward. Right. Casey: Not that it matters, but I have a I have a compulsion to defend my Shayla. Ten up to one, yeah. Blake: ⁓ alright, on that note, ⁓ let's get into it. Ranking at number ten, we have Rina Beauty. Do y'all y'all remember that? Y'all remember that? Rinna Beauty? Casey: We have Rena Beauty. Y'all, y'all remember Rena Beauty. And Rena Beauty, I actually well, you know, let's let's go like Shark Tank mode a little bit here. Branding, it makes sense. She built up a lot of like imagery about her lips, her signature pout, you know, like she's a she's a branding. Dare I say expert? Whoa. I don't have the credentials to say that, but I think I do kinda. Blake: Great. No, she's like I would like Lisa Rina I think I think that you do as a member of the consuming public. I I think that especially like today in t the year 2026 of our good lord, I think we can all agree Lisa Rina like has put her stamp on culture in so many different ways. And the lips thing, I mean like she was branding herself as like the housewife with the lips for e since she started the show, and then it honestly I am surprised Casey: Yeah. ⁓ yeah. Blake: that it took her until what season eleven to come out with this. Like that Casey: Yes, yeah, I agree. I agree. I think this w would have lended itself earlier, especially we talk about it in our Kim Rina ⁓ episode and our Kim or no and our Yolanda Rina episode because all of her taglines for like at least a good couple years are like, These lips in Beverly Hills are talking and the rumors are flying out of these big juicy lips, like you know, like Blake: And moving these juicy lips will never kiss your ass. Casey: This trouty mouth is gonna say Kim Richards is close to death this season. Come watch. That's that's a that's actually a glee reference, which you wouldn't even know because you're not a gleek. Any glieks out there, that's for you. But I think that this is a smart business idea. Like some housewife businesses make absolutely no sense. And it's like, yeah, they probably were just like going for a storyline or like who knows? Just wanna get their get their head in the game, just want to get their ticket in the Blake: Not this trouty mouth. I have nothing to do with that. I'm sure. Casey: machine. I don't know what kind of metaphor I'm going for, but yeah, this one actually makes sense to me. Like, Rina starting a lip line primarily. Good. Why the hell not? Blake: The golden ticket ⁓ the to the chocolate factory. So smart. So smart. And she had she had the well had has currently, but also like when she was do opening when she was launching. Casey: Right. Yes. ⁓ it's out there because you wanna know who did purchase some reno beauty in the last I think I wanna say last calendar year, but maybe let's go two years to be safe. This co-host right here. I think I was maybe watching something. Maybe I was watching an older season and like it was mentioned and I probably had the exact same thought I just shared of like, huh, that kind of makes sense. Like I'm sure it's not bad. Like she at least like had to throw something out there to match her mouth. So I ordered it on Amazon. I did. I like I probably Googled it and saw it was available for purchase and was like, sure. I got a little lip kit. I got a lip liner and a gloss and a lipstick, I think. And it was good. It was nice. Like I mean like it wasn't like s I didn't I don't think I got a plumper. I don't I don't l like when it makes my lips buzz. But the lip liner was solid. My real issue, not with her, but I Like I need the lip liner that just like re-goes up. I don't wanna have to buy a sharpener. Like what I don't wanna feel like I'm back in the elementary school and like sharpening the lip liner with like the literal like pencil sharpener is what people use. Like I need it to just be already in there. And hers is a pencil sharpener one. So I had to move on. So no shade. It was it was a nice lip liner. Good products. ⁓ and she does still have a website up, but you can't like purchase directly from it. You have to go on Amazon or like Walmart. I feel like your Wi-Fi cut out. Are you here? Are you just listening to me really intently? I think you're gone. Good. Okay. The way you were stopped like this And so I had I pause and I go Are you just listening really intently or are you gone? I feel like you're gone. ⁓ It's mad at you again. It's mad at you again. Okay. Changes into somebody. These little wonders, these twists and turns are fake. Still memory. Hey? Hmm. I s ⁓ I see you. It's like static y, but I see you but I don't hear you. It says Blake's device is not accessible. Ensure using Chrome or Edge and ask for browser restart. ⁓ I hear you now. ⁓ okay, you yeah, I can hear you and you look clear. It says that you need to join from a regular browser, not incognito. No, are you in your are you in an incognito browser? ⁓ no, it's popped up. It popped up again. It says your recording has stopped. Should I make a new recording and then edit them together after and see if that helps? You might have to I I use Microsoft Edge is what ha I had to do when my Chrome stopped working. I mean it shouldn't. If unless your Wi Fi's really bad still, but I shoot! I shoot! Body. Hey. Pretty sure it's still happening.
