- 0:49Hello.
- 0:49Welcome everyone to new talks.
- 0:51Uh, today we got Kaitlyn Woods.
- 0:53Uh, she's a professional racing driver.
- 0:56Welcome Kaitlyn.
- 0:58Hi.
- 0:58Thank you for having me.
- 0:59Yeah.
- 1:00Thank you so much for joining our in Talks today.
- 1:03Uh, let's start with, uh, how you get into racing, how all this,
- 1:07uh, passion started for you.
- 1:09Yeah.
- 1:10Okay.
- 1:10Um, I started racing when I was young, when I was seven.
- 1:14Um, but I think I kind of caught the bug a few years before that.
- 1:18There's quite an age gap between myself and my brother.
- 1:21So he's 12 years older than me.
- 1:23Um, so by the time I was born, he was already go-karting and I was lucky enough
- 1:28to grow up around it in that environment.
- 1:31So by the time I was seven, I wanted to.
- 1:34My first go-kart and yeah, on my seventh birthday, my dad and my
- 1:38brother took me out to our local cart track back home in Australia,
- 1:41Newcastle Cart Club, and I guess that's where, that's where it all started.
- 1:45I didn't make it past the first corner and I was straight off into the gravel trap.
- 1:49So, um.
- 1:51My, uh, my poor dad had lots of running round to do after me,
- 1:54but, you know, uh, I loved it.
- 1:56And I guess ever since then, um, at seven, I've never not
- 2:01been involved in Motorsport.
- 2:02Obviously started in go-karts and then progressed through the
- 2:06junior ranks of, of Motorsport.
- 2:08Yeah.
- 2:09This is great.
- 2:10Uh, I also started in the same way in cars, so I remember that, uh, first time
- 2:15I went to the, uh, tree or something.
- 2:18It was really fun.
- 2:19Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 2:22So we all start somewhere, right?
- 2:24Yeah, that's true.
- 2:26Uh, can you tell me more, uh, where you move after go-karts and how
- 2:31your career started to develop?
- 2:35Yeah, so I guess.
- 2:37You know, carting was always a family hobby, um, you know, for
- 2:41me and my dad and my brother.
- 2:43And it was something we did on weekends, as I'm sure you can relate to.
- 2:46And I guess the older I got, you know, when I started to come into my
- 2:50teenage years, 12, 13, 14 was when I realized, you know, I really am
- 2:55enjoying this and I wanna do more.
- 2:57So, you know, I spoke to dad and was like, I wanna try and be better and, and.
- 3:02I'm passionate about Motors sport and I wanna see where that takes me.
- 3:05So he did his best and we did our best to try and compete in
- 3:10national carding championships and compete against the best.
- 3:13My dad's kind of motive was if you wanna be the best, you
- 3:17gotta compete against the best.
- 3:18So, um, yeah, we tried to do that as much as we could.
- 3:21And when I turned, uh, 1516, I guess kind of similar kind of.
- 3:27Uh, story is my brother had made the step up into Formula Ford into race cars,
- 3:32obviously quite a few years before me.
- 3:35And the formula Ford car was back home in our shed, kind of in a million pieces.
- 3:40Um, so it had kind of been in, in, in the shed for, for quite a few years.
- 3:45And I remember, you know, 15-year-old Caitlin in the, in
- 3:49the shed after school with dad.
- 3:51And I was just like, so when's it my turn her when, you know, when
- 3:53can I, when can I drive the formula?
- 3:56Ford and Dad was really shocked.
- 3:58I don't think he, he knew what to say.
- 4:00Um, so he kind of gave me an ultimatum and he was like, well, if you can put the race
- 4:06car back together, then you can drive it.
- 4:09Um.
- 4:10Yeah.
- 4:1115-year-old Caitlyn thought, yeah, that can't be that hard.
- 4:13I can do that.
- 4:14And uh, you know, turns out it is pretty difficult.
- 4:17But, um, yeah, so I then spent those summer holidays in Oz, which was over
- 4:23Christmas and New Year's with dad kind of rebuilding the formula forward.
- 4:27In the following year, we, we took it racing and I had my first test day,
- 4:31and that's ultimately how I made that progression into, into race cars.
- 4:35So again, I was fortunate to have that opportunity to be there and obviously my
- 4:41dad pushed me to make sure I was ready and it was something that I wanted to do.
- 4:44And thankfully, on our first test day, all four wheels stayed on.
- 4:48So I did an okay job.
- 4:50Um, but yeah, we, um, we enjoyed it and it's a really special way for me to
- 4:57have got started, especially doing that with dad and, and having that, and that
- 5:01was our own, I guess, little race team.
- 5:03We did it together.
- 5:04So my dad would kind of be my mechanic and my brother would be my engineer, and we'd.
- 5:09Travel up and down Australia competing in different formula Ford championships,
- 5:14and obviously being 15, I'd never driven on the road before, so I was getting used
- 5:19to driving a manual and understanding the characteristics of driving a car
- 5:23and not a, not a go-kart anymore.
- 5:25And so I was a really.
- 5:27Fundamental tool to, for me to develop as a driver and, and
- 5:32compete in formula forward.
- 5:33And after that, we then started to look into race teams, et cetera.
- 5:37Um, but yeah, it was a, a very, very fun way to get started.
- 5:42That's great.
- 5:43Uh, so formal Ford is a great car.
- 5:45I race it and I racing, uh.
- 5:48A lot of times.
- 5:49Yeah.
- 5:49And, uh, it's really fun indeed.
- 5:52And, uh, of course, uh, when you jump from go-karting to, uh, foremost,
- 5:57it's completely a different thing, uh, with a view with, uh, how you
- 6:01race and how you balance the car for the corners and everything.
- 6:06Uh, can you tell me more, uh, about what is your favorite,
- 6:11uh, Australian tar uh, trek?
- 6:13Which you race.
- 6:14Oh, that's easy.
- 6:16That's easy.
- 6:17What do you think it is?
- 6:19No.
- 6:21Yeah.
- 6:21Yeah.
- 6:24I feel like it's every Aussie, uh, favorite track.
- 6:28Um, yeah.
- 6:29Either Bathurst Man, Panorama or Philip Island.
- 6:33They're definitely my two.
- 6:34Mm-hmm.
- 6:34My two favorites back home.
- 6:36Yeah.
- 6:36Philip Island is great.
- 6:37One also I think a little bit underrated in I racing, so I'm all the time.
- 6:43A little bit set.
- 6:44Yeah.
- 6:44When people not racing it, I think it's, uh, really fun and uh, you
- 6:48know, going with a flow track.
- 6:50I really like it also.
- 6:53Yeah.
- 6:54All right.
- 6:54And, uh, uh, then after some time you like, uh, jumped different
- 7:00formulas after formal Ford or there was, uh, like, uh, GT cars.
- 7:05Uh, so how you move Yeah.
- 7:07Forward with career.
- 7:10Yeah.
- 7:10I think just like ev everybody in Motorsport, it's very
- 7:13difficult financially to.
- 7:15To take those next steps.
- 7:17Um, you know, we, we all know what that's like.
- 7:19And so yeah, I did a few years, uh, a formula forward.
- 7:23We stepped into a race team and I did one and a half seasons with the race team, uh,
- 7:28synergy Motorsport, because unfortunately we did, we kind of ran out of budget.
- 7:31We ran out sponsors to continue that program.
- 7:35Uh, afterwards I got a scholarship drive to do a few rounds
- 7:40in Australian Formula four.
- 7:42So, again, obviously sounds similar but separate.
- 7:44We obviously have slick tires and wings and a little bit of downforce
- 7:49and um, yeah, that was two or three races at the end of 2015.
- 7:54And then the following year in 2016, that was kind of my, yeah, fresh 18.
- 8:00It was a little bit, I think of, I don't know what kind of year we
- 8:02call it, but it was my, um, you know, I took a, I took a chance.
- 8:06I took a leap, that's for sure.
- 8:08And, uh, a German team had been in touch with me called Rider
- 8:12Engineering, for anybody that I've heard of them and asked if I would
- 8:16like to be a part of their junior program called the Writer Young Stars.
- 8:19And that was a part of the European GT four Championship.
- 8:22So it was a big step for, you know, a young Australian living, uh, going to
- 8:27move to the other side of the world.
- 8:29And, um, so I remember kind of my dad sitting me down at the dinner
- 8:33table being like, you know, this is, this is as far as we can take you.
- 8:37Uh, Caitlin, you know, it was a, it was like a sponsored drive,
- 8:41but obviously my parents had to.
- 8:43You know, give up a lot for me to be able to move to Germany
- 8:46on my own and things like that.
- 8:48So, um, yeah, he said not many Australians get to go and race in Europe, let
- 8:53alone Monza and spa and all these amazing circuits, let alone, you know.
- 8:57There's, uh, not many female, um, Australian drivers before
- 9:01me that have done that either.
- 9:02So he is like, go and enjoy yourself and do the best you can, and you know,
- 9:08if you win, you then got a fully funded drive the following season in GT three.
- 9:12With writer in the Bloon GT series, now known as GT World Challenge.
- 9:17So for me, I could see the progression and I could see how I could progress my career
- 9:22in GTS and, and continue that progress.
- 9:25So I really wanted to take that step and yeah, and then dad was like, but you know,
- 9:30if you don't win, that's absolutely fine.
- 9:32You can come back home to Australia and go to university and.
- 9:36Continue another route, so to speak.
- 9:38Um, so yeah, that was enough motivation and I think for me to, uh, for me to win.
- 9:43And so, yeah, I won that, that Young Stars program in European GT
- 9:47four, and I won that scholarship.
- 9:49So then that snowballed me into GT three in Blanc Point, in a Lamborghini,
- 9:53in the Lamborghini Gado, REX.
- 9:56So the previous generation before the hurricane.
- 9:59And yeah, that was crazy, uh, to compete, you know, in my opinion, against some
- 10:03of the best drivers in the world.
- 10:05And it was an endurance championship.
- 10:07So I had a few teammates that year and we finished on the podium in our first
- 10:12race at Mazano, which was really cool in our class, in the Silver Cup class.
- 10:16Um, yeah.
- 10:17And then, and then from there, it was a little bit of an unfortunate
- 10:19year with a few incidences and we didn't, um, finish many races.
- 10:25Just 'cause that's kind of racing.
- 10:26Um, and yeah, uh, at kind of fresh 18, I'd moved to Germany by myself and committed
- 10:33to, to trying to, to make it work.
- 10:35So it was very daunting.
- 10:37Daunting, sorry.
- 10:38And obviously, well not obviously, but I didn't know German.
- 10:42Um, so I struggled with the language barrier.
- 10:45Quite a lot, but I, you know, I tried my best and I grew up a lot in that
- 10:50phase of my life and I'm very grateful for that opportunity to have worked
- 10:53with that race team and progressed myself and continue that journey.
- 10:58So yeah, I did two years over there and then after that I then
- 11:03moved to the UK 'cause I thought that would be a good stepping
- 11:07stone to continue that GT journey.
- 11:11And yeah, I've kind of been in the UK for a few years now.
- 11:15I did a, the following year, I did a few rounds with.
- 11:18A driver in the Lamborghini Super TR series.
- 11:22Mm-hmm.
- 11:22Two or three rounds.
- 11:23And then the W series came about in 2019.
- 11:26So I became obviously the Australian representative in the W series, which
- 11:31I was a part of from 2019 to 2021.
- 11:34So yeah, obviously covid happened in those times, which made life
- 11:38very difficult for everybody.
- 11:40Um, yeah.
- 11:41And then, uh, in 2021, I became a part of the Humor W Series team.
- 11:46Which was very cool to represent a brand like Puma and be a part of their team.
- 11:50Um, and I just competed in selected rounds, so I did Spa Hungary and Coda.
- 11:58Mm-hmm.
- 11:58And yeah, we had a really good, really good round at SPA and obviously very, was
- 12:04very grateful for that opportunity to.
- 12:08He and the W Series be a part of the championship and get
- 12:11back into single seater racing.
- 12:13I don't think without, without that, I would've been able to progress
- 12:16into Formula three, you know, into the formula regional cars.
- 12:19So yeah, it was very, very, very cool to be a part of.
- 12:23Yeah, I remember we've been into one team on W series, uh, selection event.
- 12:28Uh, yeah.
- 12:29Yeah, that was really fun to see all these, uh, girls and, uh, just they
- 12:34bring every, everybody together.
- 12:36It was a great event.
- 12:38Really.
- 12:39Yeah.
- 12:40Yeah, it was, uh, the first of its kind obviously, and they, you know, as you
- 12:46know, got women from all around the world.
- 12:49And that was really for me, exciting and empowering to see so many
- 12:54girls and women drivers from all around the world be able to meet.
- 13:00And, um, like, 'cause I think, you know, up until that point you.
- 13:05Sometimes you think you're the only one, don't you?
- 13:07If you, you know, 'cause you are a minority.
- 13:09So to be put in a room with, you know, 70 other female drivers was pretty cool.
- 13:16Yeah.
- 13:16And that's really sad.
- 13:17That's, uh, W series, unfortunately you stopped there.
- 13:20Um, I. Races and their championships.
- 13:24Yeah, really set.
- 13:25Um, but, uh, I really, I think that, uh, they involved a lot of, uh, girls
- 13:32into this and, uh, probably a lot of, uh, girls also into racing community,
- 13:37uh, because, uh, we had a great, uh, like introduction, uh, to the world that
- 13:43uh, hey girls can, can drive fast and that yeah, that can be the whole series.
- 13:48With, uh, with girls only.
- 13:50It was really cool.
- 13:51Um, so I know that you won the race at Berg Ring.
- 13:56Uh, can you tell me more about this event and how was it to
- 14:00win on the Berg ring for you?
- 14:03Yeah.
- 14:04Yeah.
- 14:04Um, so the following year in 2022, I decided to take a step
- 14:10back into endurance racing.
- 14:11My ultimate goal has always been to compete at Lamont.
- 14:14I love endurance racing.
- 14:15Um, and I've competed in a few 24 hour races.
- 14:18So we thought it'd be a good step to go out to the nor life and
- 14:22get my permit and kind of work my way up the, the ranks out there.
- 14:28And so I did a few VNS when it was VLN, which is now known as NLS, did a
- 14:33few NLS rounds in a BMW three series.
- 14:36And yeah, we were competitive as a team.
- 14:39'cause as an endurance racing, you have other drivers in the car with you.
- 14:43So I had two other drivers with me.
- 14:46And yeah, in 2023 I did, I became the first Australian woman to kind of win
- 14:51a race, win a class at the, at the Nords life, which was very, very cool.
- 14:55And.
- 14:56In the moment, we didn't actually know that.
- 14:59I was, I guess the first one.
- 15:01It wasn't until we sat down afterwards and I'm like, oh, I really, I
- 15:04wonder who did this before me.
- 15:06And we couldn't find any Aussie woman that had done so.
- 15:10Yeah, it was very cool to, I guess, put that in the, in the books
- 15:13somewhere, um, for people to.
- 15:16To see and to kind of show Aussie girls back home that you can compete in Europe
- 15:21and you can compete on the world stage and that there is, um, it is accessible.
- 15:25So yeah, it was, um, racing out at the nor life is crazy.
- 15:29There's, I, as you know, it's such a long circuit.
- 15:32Mm-hmm.
- 15:33There's so many cars on track.
- 15:34The traffic is insane.
- 15:36You're dealing with faster cars, slower cars.
- 15:39So I was competing in the production car class in a BMW three series.
- 15:43Mm-hmm.
- 15:44So we're kind of, I guess, in the middle of the pack.
- 15:47We're not the fastest car on track, but we're not the slowest either.
- 15:50So you're, you're looking for traffic in front of you and behind you.
- 15:54So yeah, it definitely makes you very aware and teaches you so
- 15:59much as a driver about how to.
- 16:02I guess be fast in traffic as well, not just fast as an overall lap time and
- 16:08you know, know when to go for a move, when to hold back and just be, drive
- 16:12a little bit smarter realistically.
- 16:13And.
- 16:15The nor life isn't afraid to, to throw out some wild weather as well.
- 16:19So, um, I remember in one of my stints, in one of the races there, I was out
- 16:24on slicks and it started to rain.
- 16:26Mm-hmm.
- 16:26So it was literally all about ringing, bringing the car home.
- 16:30But you still have, I don't know, six, seven kilometers
- 16:33left of the, so yeah, it's a.
- 16:37It's a, uh, it's a crazy, it's a crazy circuit out there, but it was very
- 16:41cool to be able to get some results out there and, um, yeah, and compete.
- 16:49Yeah, that, that's awesome.
- 16:50Uh, nurse life will definitely difficult track and endurances, I race a lot of
- 16:55endurances in, uh, racing and, uh, all the time you have to manage the, the traffic.
- 17:01If you like LMP two and you got Gs and GD freeze, so you have to watch out for them.
- 17:07And yeah, as you said, sometimes you just, um.
- 17:10It's taken easy and uh, then you just, uh, pushing, uh, in, in some
- 17:16corners, uh, to, um, like to be more predictable for people on track.
- 17:22Uh, it's a different world.
- 17:24Yeah.
- 17:24Yeah.
- 17:24And I think endurance is, uh, such a great, uh, because you working
- 17:29with a team, you, you also managing traffic and you're saving fuel and
- 17:34you're doing a lot of, uh, stuff.
- 17:36So I really like Endurances as well.
- 17:38Um, yeah, so how, how do you see, uh, your road to lemon?
- 17:46Because that's your dream.
- 17:47Uh.
- 17:48Yeah.
- 17:49Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:50Um, you know, there, well for me personally, there hasn't been an
- 17:55Australian woman compete at Lamont since 1935, and there's only been
- 17:58one, and her name was Joan Richmond.
- 18:01So it's been 90 years.
- 18:03Um, so I'm, yeah, I'm definitely passionate and
- 18:05ready to kind of break that.
- 18:07Mm-hmm.
- 18:07Break that drought and get on the grid somehow.
- 18:10And yeah, the road to Lamont.
- 18:12Ultimately the next step is to try and get on the Michelin Lemmont Cup grid
- 18:16or ELMS grid and get some experience.
- 18:20And the road to Le Mon, um, race with Michelin Lemmont Cup is obviously,
- 18:25uh, very important because you race at Lamont, albeit in, you know, a small,
- 18:29uh, in a shorter distance race, two one hour races, but it gets you on that
- 18:34platform and you're able to progress.
- 18:36So.
- 18:37Yeah, I guess the next step in my career is to try and raise the, the
- 18:40sponsorship and the budget and the funding to be able to, to do that and
- 18:45take a, take a step into the prototype.
- 18:47I would love to mm-hmm.
- 18:48Raise l and p three.
- 18:49I would love to do that.
- 18:51Um, but I also have experience in gts, so I'm very open-minded and I'm very
- 18:58happy to drive anything and everything.
- 19:00So yeah, I'll continue kind of pushing for that route full of mon, but.
- 19:05I would never say no to an opportunity at the same time.
- 19:09We wish you good luck, uh, for that.
- 19:10Uh, hopefully we're going to see you thank you and LT free
- 19:13and, uh, 24 hours of lemon.
- 19:16Uh, yeah, that's a absolutely amazing event and a great track to drive on.
- 19:21Definitely.
- 19:23Um, how do you see, um, the representative of women into the racing right now?
- 19:30Like, do you see that something changing and uh, actually like
- 19:33community more friendly to everybody?
- 19:38Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:39I think, I don't think it's just motor sport.
- 19:42I think it's sport as a whole, and I think it's society as a whole.
- 19:45We're definitely making steps in the right direction to make Indus,
- 19:50you know, male dominant industries or industries more accessible to
- 19:53everybody that previously weren't.
- 19:55And you know, specifically motor sport is.
- 19:59Becoming more aware of where it needs to help, um, help drivers and try and
- 20:05progress them, and especially women as well, and, and open those doors.
- 20:08And like we said before, I think the W series was really important to
- 20:13be that representation for the, you know, a next generation of drivers and
- 20:17engineers and mechanics and journalists.
- 20:20And for people just to see women involved in motorsport in all different
- 20:24avenues, which is really important.
- 20:25And I think.
- 20:28The one thing that everybody struggles with, whether you're
- 20:31male or female in motors sport, is always the budget in raising that.
- 20:34Mm-hmm.
- 20:35To be able to go racing.
- 20:35So having, um, scholarship programs and initiatives like the Iron Dames and
- 20:43obviously now F1 Academy is great to see, to be able to put these talented
- 20:47women up, um, and for the world to see ultimately to see them perform
- 20:52and perform well, which is important.
- 20:54Um, I'd say.
- 20:56Society is, is more accepting.
- 20:58Don't get me wrong, I think there's always been a little bit of a stigma
- 21:02about female drivers and it's just ultimately, you know, at the end of the
- 21:08day, we know our own capabilities where as individuals, as drivers, and you just
- 21:13go out on the track and you just perform.
- 21:15And it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from or anything like that.
- 21:18And that's, that's I guess, the most important thing.
- 21:21But, um.
- 21:22In terms of opportunity, I think representation is very powerful and it's
- 21:27a very powerful tool and we're, we're kind of seeing that with Netflix and
- 21:31drive to survive, not only with women, but with opening a new audience into
- 21:35Formula One and all of these avenues.
- 21:38But what I'm really passionate about as well is obviously we want
- 21:43to influence and inspire the next generation, but then what, what do we
- 21:47do with these women and these girls to.
- 21:49Once they are inspired, where are the opportunities?
- 21:52Where are the stepping stones?
- 21:53And you know, not just as a driver, but as an engineer and as a mechanic, and
- 21:58are we enabling, are we still having.
- 22:01It be accessible, it's all well and good sparking all this inspiration.
- 22:05Mm-hmm.
- 22:05And getting people interested.
- 22:07But I think the next step is to really try and increase the opportunities
- 22:12and the scholarship programs and, um, university opportunities and
- 22:17work, work placement and all of these different avenues to actually get women
- 22:21on the ground and, and in the field.
- 22:23And not just women, but you know, everybody from all different areas.
- 22:27So yeah, I think that's also really important.
- 22:30I think I agree with you that, uh, we have to have like workplaces and, uh, like
- 22:36for women or like, uh, whatever would, would like to be involved into racing.
- 22:41It's really important.
- 22:43Um, what advice can you give to young women, uh, who, uh, trying
- 22:49to go for the same path as you?
- 22:54Yeah.
- 22:55Um, motor sport is tough.
- 22:58It is tough.
- 22:59Um, it's like any sport in the world or any, anything that you wanna
- 23:04achieve, it's not gonna come easy.
- 23:05And that's okay.
- 23:06And that's part of the journey.
- 23:08Um, and that's what makes you a better driver, a better person, a better athlete.
- 23:12So enjoy the journey.
- 23:14Um, believe in yourself and.
- 23:18Try not to take no for an answer.
- 23:20If someone tells you, no, you can't do that.
- 23:22You know, turn around and tell them and ask them why you can't.
- 23:25Um, you know, always try and keep, keep striving to be the best
- 23:29version of yourself that you can be.
- 23:31Um, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that you enjoy it.
- 23:36I think throughout my career there's definitely been ups and downs, just like
- 23:39anybody's career or any sports person.
- 23:43Sports person, sorry.
- 23:45And I think.
- 23:48You can kind of fall in and out of love with the sport when it
- 23:52does, when it does hurt you.
- 23:53Um, so, you know, bring yourself back to the point of what you enjoy
- 23:57most about the sport and what, what, what gives you the most joy and, you
- 24:03know, um, that ultimately will be where you'll perform best as well.
- 24:08Yeah, you're absolutely right with this, uh, I think and, um.
- 24:14Can you tell me where people can follow you and, uh, just, uh, you
- 24:19know, to see you and, uh yeah.
- 24:22Follow your career?
- 24:24Yeah, that would be great.
- 24:25Um.
- 24:26Obviously, uh, my name is Caitlyn Wood and I on all of my
- 24:29socials, I'm Caitlyn Wood Racing.
- 24:32So yeah, Instagram, Facebook, uh, LinkedIn, all those good things.
- 24:37Um, always feel free to reach out.
- 24:38I think I'm probably most social on my Instagram, but I need to get better at.
- 24:44Being better on social media and I do have a sim at home and I do jump on I racing.
- 24:49Mm-hmm.
- 24:50So I need to, um, I need to join, join in on some races with you guys.
- 24:53Definitely.
- 24:55Yeah.
- 24:55True.
- 24:56I think you have to join some of the screen to speed
- 24:59events if you'll have time.
- 25:00For sure.
- 25:02We'll be happy to see you on the track.
- 25:03Absolutely.
- 25:03Yeah.
- 25:04Uh, alright, uh, so the last one, uh, will be fun, quick questions.
- 25:09Uh, uh, what's your favorite track snack?
- 25:13Snack?
- 25:13Snack?
- 25:14Oh, that's such a good question.
- 25:18Um, um, probably I'm probably boring.
- 25:22You know, I'm probably just gonna say like a protein bar, something easy.
- 25:27Mm-hmm.
- 25:27But like a chocolate protein bar, when I want something sweet, but I know I
- 25:31can't have anything too naughty, so it just kind of eases the cravings.
- 25:36All right.
- 25:36Uh, next one will be the hard one.
- 25:38Uh, GT or single sitter for the rest of your life.
- 25:43Ah, that's hard.
- 25:45That's so hard.
- 25:47Um, well, oh, that's so hard.
- 25:52Well, endurance racing has to be gt, but overall lap time or overall
- 25:57qualifying lap has to be single seater.
- 25:59So, am I going racing or am I just doing poly lapse, is the question?
- 26:04Uh, I think your answer was, was good enough.
- 26:07I think I'm.
- 26:11Okay.
- 26:11And uh, the last one, uh, race you'd redo in a heartbeat.
- 26:17Oh, good one.
- 26:20Um,
- 26:24probably,
- 26:27probably Spa with W series in 2021.
- 26:31Mm-hmm.
- 26:32Um, and it was wet and.
- 26:37It was that parental race weekend where the F1 didn't end up racing, but
- 26:41uh, yeah, we did on the Saturday and.
- 26:45Yeah, I would probably relive that because I finished fifth
- 26:48and I was so close to the podium.
- 26:50Mm-hmm.
- 26:50So I, I was given another crack.
- 26:53I remember battling Marta, who was my teammate at the time,
- 26:57and we were PMA teammates.
- 26:58And, um, I made a, a really good move around the outside of her, around Poon.
- 27:02'cause obviously I, I had the wet line.
- 27:04Um, and yeah, we had a really good battle.
- 27:07So I'd probably say, I'd probably say that race because I'd like to get it back.
- 27:13Yeah.
- 27:13Far more free.
- 27:14Uh, I bet it's, it's great on the spa and, uh, especially in the rain.
- 27:20Yeah.
- 27:20Yeah, it was cool.
- 27:21Okay, so guys, thank you so much, uh, for watching.
- 27:24Caitlyn, thank you so much for taking your time, uh, to be with us today.
- 27:28And, uh, don't forget to follow her on her socials so you can find her in Instagram.
- 27:33Uh, and we probably going to see her in one of the screen to speed events.
- 27:37Thank you so much guys.
- 27:40Absolutely.
- 27:40Thank you so much for having me.
- 27:41It was lovely to chat with you.
- 27:43Thank you.
