Speaker 1: Yeah, wolfing down that chili dog that we had out there.
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: That?
• 0:54
Speaker 3: chili dog kind of stuck with you a little bit, see, and that's that's why I didn't have one.
• 0:59
  Speaker 3: I eat healthy.
• 1:06
Speaker 1: What were you going to say, mars?
• 1:06
Speaker 1: I was just going to say all the way home it was, let you know that it was in there.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: So did you think you had a hydrogen leak or what?
• 1:11
Speaker 2: I'd probably been better off if it had been hydrogen yeah.
• 1:16
Speaker 3: Oh my, Did your glass bulb break?
• 1:18
Speaker 1: Nope, do we have Ms Fardsworth yet?
• 1:23
Speaker 2: Not yet I'm trying to figure out where she went.
• 1:25
  Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: It's over there.
• 1:27
Speaker 1: Oh, you wonder where the yellow went when you brush your teeth with.
• 1:30
Speaker 3: Pepsodent With niacin and thiamine.
• 1:33
  Speaker 3: I think that's another pill.
• 1:36
Speaker 3: Oh, is it Something like that?
• 1:37
Speaker 3: The Carter's Little Liver pills Niacin and thiamine, thiamine.
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: Thiamin, thiamin, thiamin.
• 1:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's an ointment.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: Either that or it's a guy that you used to work with years ago, johnny Thiamin Uh-huh, that's it oh, johnny, johnny.
• 1:51
Speaker 2: Thiamin, johnny boy, johnny Diamond's cousin.
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: Dealership service departments.
• 2:01
Speaker 1: Let's talk about them.
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: What you got?
• 2:04
Speaker 1: Well, another interesting story from Automotive News.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: I try to pick out the really interesting and involved.
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: Sure.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Dealership service departments saw a 14-point jump in its customer satisfaction score in the latest CDK service shopper study.
• 2:26
Speaker 1: Say that fast, five times, no, I'm not going to.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: The 2,500 customers surveyed by CDK for its annual look at the service and parts industry gave dealerships a net promoter score of 59, up from 45 just a year ago.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: The score is a customer satisfaction rating based on whether they would likely recommend a business.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: A score of 50 or more is considered good.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: Independent repair facilities received a score of 66.
• 2:55
Speaker 1: They, too, up 10 points from 2023.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Chain service providers scored a 48, up two points from a year ago.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: Now, to me, a chain service provider would be somebody like a Firestone.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Sure, you buy tires there, but you can also get your car serviced there, mm-hmm.
• 3:18
Speaker 3: Under one roof, one-stop shop, yeah.
• 3:22
Speaker 1: Price transparency is so key right now, according to David Thomas, director of Content Marketing at CDK Global, and while some respondents in their comments said they'll never go to a dealer because they believe their prices are too high, it really has come through in the past few years.
• 3:38
Speaker 1: The dealerships are doing a very good job of competing on price now, and as younger owners come in, they see dealers in a different light than older buyers.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: We're not just talking about Gen Z.
• 3:49
Speaker 1: Most of it is the millennial side of things.
• 3:52
Speaker 1: They're regarding dealers in a better light as well.
• 3:56
Speaker 1: The study also showed the relationship between a good customer experience and service and future new car vehicle sales is intertwined.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: Nearly 80% of respondents said for repairs and maintenance, they went to the dealership where they purchased their vehicle.
• 4:14
Speaker 1: And when somebody says to me you know what kind of car you should buy, it's very difficult for me to answer that question.
• 4:21
Speaker 1: Well, what's your budget Right?
• 4:24
Speaker 1: What are you looking for, particularly Because there are so many different kinds of parts?
• 4:28
  Speaker 3: and models.
• 4:28
Speaker 3: How are you going to use?
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: it Right.
• 4:29
Speaker 1: But one of the things that I include in there where are you going to buy it?
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Drill down, do your research, get the good reviews and if you have to drive a few more miles, then do that.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: But the dealership plays a huge part, not only in the sale of your vehicle but in parts and service yeah, of your vehicle, but in parts and service, because chances are you're going to get it serviced or warranty work done at the vehicle place where you bought the car.
• 4:56
Speaker 1: Absolutely the top reasons survey respondents gave for choosing a dealership for service were staff knowledge, existing relationship, good reputation, specialized parts for their vehicle make and model and a convenient location, which is kind of what I was saying.
• 5:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree, you can take it back and that way, not only that, but they keep records, yeah, records, until the end of time if you keep taking it there, absolutely.
• 5:24
Speaker 1: So I think it's important to consider the dealer.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, what are you guys doing over there?
• 5:29
Speaker 1: I see blank screens and stuff.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: Well, he's trying to chase down our guest.
• 5:34
Speaker 3: Carry the one plus seven.
• 5:36
Speaker 3: He's doing his taxes.
• 5:42
Speaker 1: I have another dealership story that I kind of put down at the bottom of the stack.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: Lay it on us.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: International Scout story that I kind of put down at the bottom, lay it on a stack International Scout.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: I know, mars, you're going to cover this story in another segment here, but this is a story that really kind of hit this week.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: So they're bringing back the Scout name again and in the Scout name it used to be International Scout, international Harvester Scout, all that.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: Well, apparently Volkswagen has bought the name Scout and they're going to make an electric EV, a SUV and a truck, but they announced this week that they're going to sell direct to the consumer.
• 6:32
Speaker 1: Oh, and the dealers are ticked the VW dealers, because they thought that they were going to get the Scout.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: Sure, eh, not Direct to the consumer.
• 6:46
Speaker 1: Kind of like Tesla, tesla, yeah, there's no showroom per se.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: You'll probably go to some scout place there.
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: It is right.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: There Can we take it for a test drive?
• 6:59
Speaker 1: Sure, but we can't sell it to you here.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: You have to go online and buy it, which I think is interesting.
• 7:06
Speaker 1: And Tesla's not the only one.
• 7:07
Speaker 1: I believe that Rivian is another one, which I think is interesting.
• 7:09
Speaker 1: Tesla's not the only one.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: I believe that Rivian is another one, and there's another electric vehicle maker that they're also selling direct to the consumer.
• 7:18
Speaker 3: So you buy it online, you put all your information online to the scout entity and you go and pick up your vehicle.
• 7:27
Speaker 2: Now what happens today?
• 7:27
Speaker 2: Or they deliver it.
• 7:29
Speaker 3: Whatever the case, your data is online doing that, so anybody can kind of like dip in all the blacks.
• 7:36
Speaker 2: I think you would probably end up saying here's my banker Contact them to get the loans and all that stuff.
• 7:42
Speaker 3: You think that's what it is.
• 7:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think, are you going to put in your account numbers or anything?
• 7:46
Speaker 3: It would be just like going to a regular car dealer.
• 7:53
Speaker 3: I mean, the bank gives them the information for your money.
• 7:54
Speaker 3: They still have to plug in your social security number.
• 7:55
Speaker 3: If you're buying it through finance, you've got to plug all that stuff in.
• 7:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, it just scares me, that's all.
• 8:01
Speaker 2: Well, I don't do that, but I do some buying online, but it's always run into a credit card or an app or something.
• 8:10
Speaker 3: It's just scary To me it's scary.
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: It is.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: Well, I think that they're trying to get rid of the middleman and I think that really, I know that I'm old and I know that I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to that sort of stuff.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: But I want to have a relationship with a dealer, somebody that I can go in there and talk to the salesman, talk to the parts department, talk to the service department.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: I want to be able to pick up the phone and say hey, the car's broken down, Come get it and let them handle it.
• 8:45
Speaker 2: Well, and where I'm at which is I mean mean there's area down there off the grid march.
• 8:50
Speaker 2: Well, no, there's about 250, 260 000 people down there and saw rivian the other day going down the street.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: We actually have a rivian, but the teslas and things like that they have to bring them to houston to get them worked on.
• 9:04
Speaker 2: Now bmw is over there now they got a place you can get it worked on over there.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: But but the other ones and I just can't imagine.
• 9:10
Speaker 1: But wait a minute.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: Aren't you in the Beaumont Orange Triangle?
• 9:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, in the Golden Triangle.
• 9:16
Speaker 1: That's where you are in the Golden Triangle.
• 9:18
Speaker 2: Yes, sir, they call it Golden for different reasons, because of the oil, yeah, all the money and stuff, but there's no dealer presence over there to get your car fixed or for some of these makes how many people live in the Golden Triangle area.
• 9:31
  Speaker 2: There's about 250,000.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: That's all yeah In between the three big cities there and all the little towns.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: I only got like 15,000, 18,000 in my town but we're bordered by towns so we can't grow physically anymore and there's several little towns like that.
• 9:48
Speaker 3: So someone could come in and annex you another city that wants to take over?
• 9:52
  Speaker 3: Probably not.
• 9:53
Speaker 3: No, no, no, they can't.
• 9:55
Speaker 1: Because I think that his city is incorporated.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: They bumped up against the city limits.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: Bump up against each other.
• 10:01
Speaker 2: Kind of like some of the towns over here Bel Air, sugar Land there's a town.
• 10:04
Speaker 2: You cross the street, you're in a different town, but it's Sugar Land.
• 10:07
Speaker 2: There's a town, you cross the street, you're in a different town.
• 10:08
  Speaker 2: That's interesting.
• 10:09
Speaker 2: There's just no dealers over there.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say with that few people, I mean, unless you've got you know there used to be the Chevy store, right?
• 10:19
Speaker 1: How many Chevy stores do they have in your area?
• 10:22
Speaker 2: Two In the Golden Triangle.
• 10:24
Speaker 2: Two, I'm thinking two, okay.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: But that would be out of the norm, because you said that they just now, recently, got a BMW dealership over there, yeah, in Beaumont.
• 10:36
Speaker 2: In Beaumont there's a BMW, a Mercedes, just one, but they're at the same thing.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Think of the volume that they have to do at that dealership to support the dealership.
• 10:46
Speaker 1: I mean they got the light bill to pay, they got the employees to pay, they got parts in the parts department that they got to pay for.
• 10:53
Speaker 2: they don't get those for free no, I understand, don't get me wrong, but the the idea that you're going to sell online, like the tesla or even the scout.
• 11:00
Speaker 2: I can go in there and buy one and I can get it shipped down to where my house.
• 11:04
Speaker 2: They'll drop it in my driveway, I guess the tesla they would.
• 11:06
Speaker 2: But then when it breaks I gotta have it picked up and I gotta send it to houston.
• 11:11
Speaker 2: I guess if there's a, if there's a scout dealership here in houston, tesla for sure it's got to come back to houston to get it fixed and then it's got to come back down to me.
• 11:20
Speaker 2: So your day, minimum a day going each way just to travel and get it, and the inconvenience I fiat, that's another one one.
• 11:27
Speaker 2: If you want to buy a little Fiat, for some reason you're not going to get it fixed down there, not under warranty.
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: Because there's not a deal.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: Did you buy an Alpha toenail down there?
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: Nope.
• 11:38
Speaker 2: Don't believe you can.
• 11:39
Speaker 2: Interesting the marketing plan, I understand it and in theory it looks like it makes it out to people like me out in the middle of nowhere.
• 11:49
Speaker 2: But by the same token I may not buy it just because of the inconvenience of I've got to ship it off to Houston or Dallas someplace.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: Well, again, more importantly, the fact that you need a dealer.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: Right, even you here in Sugar Land.
• 12:05
Speaker 2: Where's the Tesla dealer?
• 12:07
  Speaker 2: He's up north, isn't he?
• 12:08
  Speaker 3: No, there's a Tesla on 59 in.
• 12:11
  Speaker 2: Richmond and Rosenberg.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: Richmond and Rosenberg, it's probably maybe eight miles, nine miles from here, but it's not a dealer.
• 12:15
Speaker 2: No, just a service center, a showroom, service center Right.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: You can't buy one there.
• 12:21
  Speaker 3: Across the street.
• 12:22
Speaker 3: There is a Tesla facility for training Directly across the street.
• 12:28
Speaker 3: For Tesla facility for training directly across the street.
• 12:30
  Speaker 3: For what?
• 12:30
Speaker 3: For training, training Tesla technicians and things.
• 12:32
Speaker 3: I saw a Tesla repair truck the little minivans they have, and it's gas, obviously, and you see the gas flap and everything.
• 12:40
Speaker 3: When you overfill your tank, some catanus drips out.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: There's a big line of gas stuck and stained to the side of the Tesla.
• 12:46
Speaker 3: Hilarious, I almost took a picture of it.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: I couldn't get it, but the Tesla Electric Service Center truck had gas drip down the side.
• 12:54
  Speaker 3: It was incredible.
• 12:56
Speaker 1: Only you would see something like that.
• 12:58
  Speaker 3: I think it's hilarious.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Well, at any rate, I think that dealers are.
• 13:03
Speaker 1: I don't think that they have anything to worry about.
• 13:06
Speaker 1: To be honest with you.
• 13:08
Speaker 3: Especially the one, sterling McCall, that sells Buicks.
• 13:10
  Speaker 3: They're doing fine.
• 13:14
Speaker 1: Scout said it's going to sell the Terra pickup and traveler SUV direct to consumers and bypass the Volkswagen dealer body known well by CEO Scott Keogh, the American executive who previously led Volkswagen Group of America and Audi of America.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: Scout has likely opened the door to legal action by national and state dealer associations that have voiced frustration by a lack of communication over the brand's retail plans.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: Scout is targeting retail prices under $60,000 for both models when production begins in 2027.
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: It's 2027?
• 13:53
Speaker 1: It's not too far off, Well, I know, but I mean, we're still in 24.
• 13:58
Speaker 1: That's three years away.
• 14:01
Speaker 1: Ending Two model years away for sure it began taking $100 refundable reservations.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: Selling vehicles direct to consumer has been a pain point for franchise dealers since Tesla disrupted the legacy model.
• 14:13
Speaker 1: Electric vehicle makers Rivian and Lucid have followed suit.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: All three have faced fierce opposition from dealer trade groups and state legislators.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: There you go, I guess we're on the take?
• 14:25
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 14:25
Speaker 2: Well, you know we could do that.
• 14:27
Speaker 2: We could go out and say, ah, I just bought a new Scout.
• 14:29
Speaker 2: I put my $100 down, and then they come up and say well, in two years, hey, we're ready to gift you a Scout over there.
• 14:36
Speaker 2: Now, give me my $100 back.
• 14:38
  Speaker 2: I don't want it.
• 14:39
Speaker 1: No, I think I'd take it, I'd flip it.
• 14:43
Speaker 1: Well, maybe not you over there, but for us here in the Houston market, if I could get a Bronco, if I could get a Scout, buy it and flip it.
• 15:00
Speaker 1: If you can do that.
• 15:02
Speaker 1: You know a lot of these manufacturers that have these off-the-cuff things, one-offs and things like that.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: You can't do that.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: They make you sign a contract.
• 15:10
Speaker 1: Like the Corvette when it first came out you had to sign a contract that you wouldn't flip it.
• 15:14
Speaker 1: You had to keep it.
• 15:15
  Speaker 1: So many months.
• 15:15
Speaker 3: Keep it a year.
• 15:16
  Speaker 3: It's up to a year, I think.
• 15:17
Speaker 2: Ford did that with a couple of their cars Exactly.
• 15:19
Speaker 1: And GM went after the people that did it and I'm sure that Lost Not.
• 15:25
  Speaker 3: GM.
• 15:25
Speaker 3: But the people, people, yeah, you sign it, you sign it, yeah, you betcha, there's that.
• 15:30
Speaker 1: Shall we take a break?
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: We can.
• 15:32
Speaker 1: It looks like Ms Farnsworth has stood us up.
• 15:35
  Speaker 1: No, no.
• 15:36
Speaker 3: She's got other things to do, evidently she stood us up.
• 15:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, she stood us up, right?
• 15:41
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought.
• 15:43
Speaker 2: I missed something there, Jeff.
• 15:44
Speaker 2: Maybe I missed something there, jeff.
• 15:45
  Speaker 3: Maybe I did, I don't know.

• 19:54
Speaker 1: That's why they had lots of beans.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: They'd sit around the fire and eat the beans.
• 19:58
Speaker 3: The Charles Wagon is what it was.
• 19:59
Speaker 3: Chuck was his nickname.
• 20:01

Speaker 3: Well, back to Formula One.
• 21:27
Speaker 3: Never mind, they're in Mexico City next week or this week, Mexico City.
• 21:33
  Speaker 1: Everybody's wearing a sombrero.
• 21:35
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: All right time now for this Week in Auto History, mr Mars.
• 21:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a real interesting week this week in automotive history, and I wanted to start with October the 19th 1982.
• 21:48
Speaker 2: Now this story is about John DeLorean.
• 21:50
Speaker 2: He was a star at General Motors.
• 21:52
Speaker 2: He played a pivotal role in the development of vehicles like the Pontiac GTO, the Nova and the Vega, but he's best known for his vision of creating a stainless steel sports car, the DeLorean DMC-12.
• 22:03
Speaker 2: Of course, this has got the distinctive gullwing doors and was in the 1985 film.
• 22:08
Speaker 2: Back to the Future Now, october the 19th is when DeLorean was charged with cocaine trafficking.
• 22:13
Speaker 2: It took until August 1984, almost two years for him to be acquitted of the drug charges.
• 22:20
Speaker 2: The jury found that he had been a victim of entrapment by federal agents posing as drug traffickers.
• 22:25
Speaker 2: The idea was they were going to make him get him enough money that he could.
• 22:29
Speaker 2: He was desperate to make his dream come true and they took advantage of that.
• 22:33
Speaker 2: So while he was clear to the charges, the ongoing effort to clear his name and all the financial woes that came around from all of that event really took its toll and on March 2005, john Z DeLorean passed away at the age of 80.
• 22:45
  Speaker 2: Now, october the 22nd 1936.
• 22:50
Speaker 2: I remember it well.
• 22:51
Speaker 2: You were probably there because the drivers road tested the Volkswagen Type 1 prototype for the first time.
• 22:57
Speaker 2: The car was proposed, designed and engineered by Ferdinand Porsche and his team under contract Porsche Porsche I knew her and his team under the contract of Adolf Hitler's Nazi party, and it was labeled Volkswagen, that's not the original.
• 23:12
Speaker 1: That's not the original, that's not the 30-something, because the 30-something's got that little bitty tiny back window.
• 23:17
Speaker 1: No, no, there is no picture of it.
• 23:18
Speaker 2: Opera window in the back yeah, that I could find, so it translated.
• 23:23
Speaker 2: Anyway, it was called the people's car because it was supposed to be affordable, reliable and simple to work on, and so everybody could get it.
• 23:29
Speaker 2: They had a financing set up and all that.
• 23:31
Speaker 2: Top speed on it was 62 miles an hour, which was perfect for Germany's brand new Autobahn.
• 23:36
Speaker 2: I will tell you this.
• 23:38
Speaker 1: I think back in the day everybody knew somebody.
• 23:42
Speaker 1: If you didn't own one yourself, that had a Volkswagen bug.
• 23:46
Speaker 2: Worked on, several of them Sunk.
• 23:47
Speaker 2: One of them, the Type 1, eventually outsold the Model T with 21,529,464 produced between 1938 and 2003.
• 23:56
Speaker 2: Became the best-selling car in the world up to that point.
• 23:59
Speaker 2: Last Type 1 Beetle left the assembly line in 2003 down in Mexico because they passed a new law down there.
• 24:09
Speaker 2: Because of all the crime, all the taxis had to have four doors, no more two doors.
• 24:14
Speaker 2: Too easy to rob them, so they phased out because that was their biggest market.
• 24:18
Speaker 2: Was the taxis Now rolling into the big one?
• 24:22
  Speaker 2: October 21, 1980.
• 24:25
Speaker 2: The International Harvester Company actually became to fruition because of a merger between pay attention here McCormick Harvesting Machine Company, the Deering Harvesting Company, the Milwaukee Harvesting Machine Company, the Plano Manufacturing Company and Warder, bushnell and Gessner all combined in 1902 to create the International Harvester Manufacturing Company.
• 24:49
Speaker 2: They made big tractors.
• 24:50
Speaker 2: Then they started building trucks in 1907 for farm work.
• 24:53
Speaker 2: Now they were commercial, selling the trucks they were successful at that and the farm equipment.
• 24:59
Speaker 2: But they launched their Jeep competitor, the Scout, in 1960, and that would become the company's most successful consumer vehicle to October 21, 1980.
• 25:11
Speaker 2: They actually sold 532,674 Scouts throughout that decade.
• 25:17
Speaker 2: Now, to go along with that, what we were talking about earlier, october the 24th, 19, I mean 2024, scout Motors introduces an all-new vehicle lineup.
• 25:26
Speaker 2: Now they're going to bring back the two vehicles.
• 25:28
Speaker 2: They're going to first be the TerraTruck and it's inspired by the first Scout ever built and it shares the same colors.
• 25:35
Speaker 2: The second is the SUV and it's based on the last Scout that was ever built.
• 25:41
Speaker 2: Do you have pictures of that?
• 25:42
  Speaker 2: The new ones?
• 25:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I didn't include them because I really wasn't going to deal on it.
• 25:46
Speaker 2: I just was using that as a coincidence because two days after the date that they stopped making that they were reintroducing.
• 25:54
Speaker 2: So anyway, it goes into some details about what they can do and what they can't do.
• 25:58
Speaker 2: But it was kind of interesting the way they're doing that.
• 26:01
Speaker 2: Like we were talking earlier about the Don dealers and how it's going to be interesting.
• 26:05
Speaker 2: But that was this week in automotive history.
• 26:07
Speaker 1: Thank you, Almost a quarter of electric vehicles in the US may become eligible for a $4,000 tax credit in January, according to data from Recurrent, but they are not all created equal.
• 26:20
Speaker 1: The EV model year must be at least two years older than the current calendar year, among other requirements, in order to be eligible for the federal tax credit up to $4,000.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: That means January 1, 2025, the 2023 model year vehicles may qualify, and the percentage of potentially eligible used EVs will jump to 89% from 65% Now.
• 26:46
Speaker 1: Keep this in mind.
• 26:47
Speaker 1: First-generation EVs have design flaws and technological quirks that render them a mixed bag in terms of value.
• 26:53
Speaker 1: Late model-use vehicles are typically more reliable, though different climates or histories can affect battery health.
• 27:01
Speaker 1: Model year and use case discrepancies create a lot of work for consumers interested in purchasing used EVs ahead of the major incentive milestone.
• 27:12
Speaker 1: The average used EV with 25,000 to 49,999 miles on the odometer costs $27,639, nearly 9% cheaper than the $30,000 for a used internal combustion engine, because the battery is going bye-bye pretty soon Expensive.
• 27:32
