- 0:58This entire military is 1 cohesive dedicated force and the
- 1:04threats to our nations, they don't sleep.
- 1:07They're watching our every move. Iran, Russia, China, North
- 1:13Korea, ISIS, Al Qaeda, they may be watching this right now.
- 1:20Our military should not be mistaken for our cable news
- 1:23gadfest show. We don't care what you look

- 2:14Talk. Hey thanks for tuning.
- 2:19In welcome are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 2:24reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent.
- 2:27Find. Us on the web at MB radio dot
- 2:30US. Hello friends, I'm Kent Skelton
- 2:44and I'm so glad you are here. Together we can battle this
- 2:48struggle and find freedom from it.
- 2:49All Life is continuous and it would be ridiculous to say that
- 2:53you or I don't experience those seconds, minutes, hours, or days
- 2:58that seem like they'll never end.
- 3:00Time continues on regardless of how we feel or what we
- 3:04experience. We search longingly for a way to
- 3:08handle and navigate through these situations we are
- 3:11experiencing. There has to be.
- 3:16Hello everybody. Happy birthday MBR.
- 3:20Happy birthday military broadcast.
- 3:23That's right, happy birthday. MBR.
- 3:27And happy Armed Forces Day. Yes, yes.
- 3:30Happy birthday. Happy.
- 3:32Birthday. Hey.
- 3:33Hi, baby. Hey, so we got man, we got
- 3:40different services recognized right here today.
- 3:43I'm Air Force. I know we got another Air Force.
- 3:46Who else we got? Army.
- 3:49Army. OK, All right.
- 3:54Hey, so anyway, we got Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines,
- 3:59Coast Guard, Space Force, Space Command.
- 4:02We've got everybody you know involved in their podcast host
- 4:07or listeners here on military broadcast radio.
- 4:10And better than all else, we've even got the silly billions from
- 4:14all around the country. And the citizens are the
- 4:17patriots, the one that helped support the military.
- 4:20And we're all in this fight together.
- 4:23And we all know that freedom from struggle.
- 4:27As you know, it's a show we normally air talk on Saturdays
- 4:31and it's for anyone with any type of hurt habit or hang up.
- 4:35Today we're talking about the title was a mic as a mid.
- 4:41Excuse me, what are you talking about there?
- 4:44Well, a Mike and a mid. We got an online therapeutic
- 4:49prescription and I see that in the way of military broadcast
- 4:53radio acting as a host, as my fellow host here of various
- 4:58shows on military broadcast radio, we have I believe over 30
- 5:02shows. And so this is just a small
- 5:07group of the post, but nevertheless, we are host on the
- 5:12podcast on the MBR and it's therapeutic for me.
- 5:17I can attest to that. And I believe and I hope it's
- 5:20therapeutic for other hosts as it is for our listeners.
- 5:25And so we kind of want to just talk about that today.
- 5:27You know, I've got the Freedom for Struggle show and we're here
- 5:30today, but we have Tracer to my left.
- 5:34And Tracer, what do you think? I mean, what do you, what do
- 5:38you? I'm trying to make sure I look
- 5:39the right direction. Tracer.
- 5:43But you have a show on military broadcast radio.
- 5:46You also serve as one of our officers.
- 5:49Can you share a little bit about yourself?
- 5:52So yeah, I'm a 33 1/2 year Army Reserve veteran and I just
- 5:57retired in December and military broadcast radio has been a
- 6:02godsend for me because I already missed the military connection
- 6:06and this is my conduit to reach that audience again or, or feel
- 6:10that can sense of community again.
- 6:11And it's really helped me to, you know, vocalize what I'm
- 6:16thinking and what I'm feeling versus just bottling it up.
- 6:20And it gives my guests and, and the organizations that I have on
- 6:24my show an opportunity to really speak their truth and really get
- 6:27their message out there. So I feel like it, it not only
- 6:30helps me, but it helps the people that we're serving and,
- 6:33and out in the audience and then helps our guests to, to really,
- 6:37you know, gravitate towards putting their message out in
- 6:41the, in the veteran community and to really help themselves at
- 6:45the same time. That's awesome, Tracer, Thank
- 6:48you for sharing that with us and Jose with a motivated mindset.
- 6:53I know you've got a show that's coming up and you're going to
- 6:56announce that and hopefully people will continue to stay,
- 6:59stay on and watch your show immediately following Freedom
- 7:02from Struggle. But go ahead, Jose.
- 7:04Tell us a little bit about about yourself and what you think of
- 7:07military broadcast radio. Yeah, get by something to my
- 7:10Latino family out there. What's up?
- 7:15So I first of all, I want to thank my my brothers and sisters
- 7:19here. They've been a lifeline for me.
- 7:22And my podcast is about the motivating mindset, why people
- 7:26do what they do, the why in a nutshell, you know, so it's been
- 7:29it's been a lifeline for me. I served 30 years in the Army.
- 7:34And for those of us who served, when you first get out,
- 7:36sometimes I know what it feels to be unheard, you know, unseen
- 7:40and so on. And when I, when I wanted to do
- 7:42a podcast, I wasn't sure how to do it.
- 7:44But when I found military broadcast radio, it felt good.
- 7:48You know, for listeners, I would tell you that it provides an
- 7:53authentic, raw, real thing. And the thing I think that it's
- 7:57live is so cool beans because you can ask questions and so on
- 8:01and people can answer and you know, for.
- 8:04For. For podcasters, why should they
- 8:06join? Because hey, it's you're not
- 8:10just broadcasting. You know, what you're doing is
- 8:12you're building bridges, you know, you're lifting spirits,
- 8:15you know, you have a communicate, a communicated
- 8:17communicate communicator, better momento.
- 8:20I mean, my Spanish community, you like that?
- 8:24How you doing? So, yeah, so NBR has been so
- 8:30awesome for me and I really appreciate it.
- 8:33And like Red said, right after this, I have a another show
- 8:36where I have which deals with domestic violence and I have
- 8:39somebody. So yeah.
- 8:40But bottom line, upfront, NBR has been a lifesaver.
- 8:43I've enjoyed it and I've learned a lot.
- 8:45So that's that's how I look at it.
- 8:47Yes, Sir. Man, Jose, I really appreciate
- 8:51that and and I'm glad you come back on here with us and getting
- 8:55back into the in the normal routine of things and really
- 8:59happy, really happy that you're there.
- 9:01He Eva, Eva Fulton, she's my Co host normally on the show here
- 9:06at freedom from struggle and I always thankful for Eva.
- 9:10But what have you got going on? What's military broadcast radio
- 9:12to you? You know, it's a lot.
- 9:15I mean, it's, it's another Ave. of sharing my voice.
- 9:19You know, it took me a long time to find my voice as a veteran,
- 9:23just understanding that as as a female that my voice counted to
- 9:28my representation kind of too. It took me a long time to
- 9:31understand that I could put that hat on.
- 9:34So I enjoy sharing my, my journey from pain to purpose.
- 9:40You know, yesterday Jose and I were out in DC recruiting other
- 9:44veterans and other organizations to either become hosts and
- 9:49finding their voice. Some were hesitant, you know,
- 9:51believe that there was a the myth of I've got to have all
- 9:55this equipment before I get started.
- 9:57And I told him, no, you could get started with your phone.
- 10:00You know, it's just as simple as that.
- 10:02So don't be a naysayer and think that I, I have to have, you
- 10:07know, the whole kit and caboodle to do it because we're going to
- 10:10help you every step of the way. So, you know, it's not just my
- 10:14voice, but helping other people find their voices was a big,
- 10:17huge deal. Right, right.
- 10:20Hey, I see a lot of great comments coming in.
- 10:23I saw one from Zia. He just got back in the country
- 10:26from abroad and he threw somebody a salute.
- 10:30And hey, appreciate it, Zia. And.
- 10:34And my show is on after Jose's. Stay tuned.
- 10:39And Amber is on after that. We have a great lineup tonight
- 10:42like we. Have Yeah, they.
- 10:44Programming. We're honest.
- 10:46We. Just had Trucker's mouth played
- 10:48a little bit early, like an hour prior to this show.
- 10:51And then we got Jose, then Eva, and then what did you say?
- 10:54Amber follows that. Yep.
- 10:56Wow. Hey, happy birthday, Military
- 10:58broadcast radio. That's right.
- 11:01Representing. Hey, and Speaking of that real
- 11:04quick HH train people know that HR nightmare that appears that
- 11:12appears on military broadcast radio so often.
- 11:17We love him to death. He's he's a lot of ours mentor.
- 11:21He he got us started with this. He's taught us and hopefully
- 11:26we're showing him that we've learned a little bit, Okay.
- 11:30And us too. We are crazy about military
- 11:32broadcast radio and happy birthday to MBR.
- 11:36But H, we get, man, a lot of thanks to you, brother.
- 11:39Lot of thanks to you. And we're sorry that you're not
- 11:42feeling as well today as normal. Y'all think I sound bad?
- 11:47I listen to H on on a phone call a little earlier.
- 11:51He's in worse shape than I am and he feels bad.
- 11:54I'm. Not kissing each other, man.
- 11:56At least I'm not feeling bad. There he is.
- 12:00Yeah. These long, distant kisses, you
- 12:03know, I mean, hey, hey, hey, fellow host.
- 12:11So no mono here, just struggling with the crud.
- 12:16There he goes. H Train has another person he's
- 12:20seen in the picture right there or her in the picture with him
- 12:24and she's she's that extra support right behind him.
- 12:28Is that right, Host? I believe she is.
- 12:32I believe she is. I know she is because she puts
- 12:35up with H to put up with us. So that's a beautiful thing.
- 12:39I love Tony's comment down there if you see that.
- 12:41What's that, Tony? Joel, HR deserves so much credit
- 12:44and appreciation. I know he cares so much about us
- 12:47and our success, but he is the foundation that helps a lot of
- 12:51us succeed. No doubt about it.
- 12:53He deserves all the love. Thanks for that comment, Tony.
- 12:56There's no doubt about that. No doubt about it.
- 12:59And a big thanks also to the folks that are out there in
- 13:03podcast land and that actually get to listen to us and, and
- 13:07kind of put up with us and hear the different shows and we are
- 13:11on all kinds of different avenues.

- 18:53Radio dot US. The station where our veterans
- 19:01voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 19:05For tuning. In Welcome Back are those of the
- 19:09speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 19:14of any entities they represent. Find us on the web at MB radio
- 19:18dot US. That's a fact.
- 19:21We are going to be going on a veteran's day cruise.
- 19:24I'm looking forward to it. We got quite a few hosts that
- 19:26are already on there. We have some just patriotic
- 19:29folks that like that appreciate the military that have agreed to
- 19:33join us on the cruise. And then there's going to be
- 19:35tons of other people. They still have room though.
- 19:37Make sure you contact us and contact your favorite host.
- 19:41Phillips say, hey, I want to go on that cruise with you.
- 19:43How can I go on that cruise? And you will be there with us
- 19:48also. And it always gives a little bit
- 19:51back and helps support that particular host that you're
- 19:54following. And more than anything, it helps
- 19:59support military broadcast radio.
- 20:02Eva Not Eva. I'm sorry, Eva, I've already
- 20:05talked to you. Eva.
- 20:07Amber. Amber.
- 20:10What's going on? So you got a show coming on too,
- 20:13right? Yes, Sir, I have.
- 20:16Today's show is actually about the death of a young man, a
- 20:22young black man in Potsdam, NY who passed away.
- 20:26That is suspicious. And so we spoke to his mother,
- 20:31interviewed her and just got her take on the whole situation.
- 20:36So, but yes, I usually talk about like true crime or talk
- 20:42about interesting or talk to interesting people or the
- 20:46paranormal or Prison Reform. Right, right, right.
- 20:51Lots of good stuff. And hey, and how have you found
- 20:54military broadcast radio? Has it it has it been a are
- 20:58using a mic as a Med? Has it been therapeutic in any
- 21:01way for you, your follower, or your followers?
- 21:04Yeah, it's for me, definitely. It has been I most of you guys
- 21:10know I was in bed for 6 1/2 years with debilitating
- 21:13migraines and I had just come out of that when I found MBR.
- 21:19And so this has been a way to jump start my life again, get me
- 21:25back into the world and get me using my brain again.
- 21:30You know 6 1/2 years of hiatus. You know of actually like
- 21:34forming my own thoughts and opinions.
- 21:36It yeah, it was a lot, you know, to go from that to now just
- 21:42coming on here and realizing that that I can think again and
- 21:49I can use my mind again where I thought, you know, that I wasn't
- 21:52going to be able to for a long time.
- 21:54So it has been a huge blessing to me and I one of my issues is
- 22:01PTSD and it, it's some, for some reason it, it happens when I
- 22:07drive and for the first time in like almost 10 years, I drove 22
- 22:15miles by myself. And that is a huge
- 22:20accomplishment for me. So I am just thankful for MBR
- 22:24for that. Well, I thank you, Amber.
- 22:28And I know, I know, I know what you're saying.
- 22:30I've been through some of those things.
- 22:33Thankfully I wasn't confined to a bed, you know, and stuff like
- 22:36that. But I have suffered from the
- 22:38migraines and, you know, numerous other things.
- 22:41Because I'm going to share a little bit in a few minutes, MJ.
- 22:44Yes, Sir. I'm so happy you're here with us
- 22:47today. All of my hippie forum today.
- 22:50You caught me off guard. Bring it on, Bring it on.
- 22:52Hipster. One of the most hip of the
- 22:56bunch. Wow, you're.
- 22:58Blessed. MJMJ share with us please.
- 23:01I will. To share, I I do a show called a
- 23:05conscious positive. It's a flip on egos and
- 23:08judgments that has been corrupted by man for countless
- 23:12times of reality and it's time of an awareness for the world to
- 23:17come into a positive. So basically what that means is
- 23:20we flip every single negative situation that we encounter and
- 23:24we make it a +1 as a life learning lesson to gain that
- 23:27much more relativity to father mother God.
- 23:30That's what I do. All righty MJ and I know and
- 23:34I've listened a lot of times and it come you come up with some
- 23:37really great topics, you know, on the show.
- 23:40I know that. What time does it normally air
- 23:42again? Monday's at 9:00 AM to 11:00 and
- 23:46I invite anybody who has any type of trauma line, including
- 23:51TBI's or PTSD. That way I use a lot of my
- 23:56stories and encouraging people just to open up and not to be
- 24:00judged. So I I started working with PTSD
- 24:05vets when I was doing in Miami as a spiritual counselor to try
- 24:10to dive into a realm that the psychologist who would hand them
- 24:14to me couldn't really get to get them to open up.
- 24:17So I, I was, I love MBR. In fact, I was at my doctor
- 24:23wrote in to Jewel about what I was doing in Miami.
- 24:27And Joel reached out and I I thought it was a joke.
- 24:32I said, what are you talking about?
- 24:34And he's like, well, didn't you write in?
- 24:36I said no. And then we found out who it was
- 24:39who who actually wrote in for me.
- 24:42And so I told him, well, I do do already lives.
- 24:45I said for people to help them. And I said I'd be I'd be happy
- 24:49to get the word out to more military vets.
- 24:52So for me, MBR has been such a rehabilitation revocation, not
- 24:59just for me, but for people who have a lot of guilt, shame,
- 25:03anxiety, fear that they don't want to put out in public.
- 25:07So behind the scenes in our emails or my texts or my DMS, I
- 25:12do they, they do reach back. And as Joel says, he goes, MJ,
- 25:17you're making a difference. He goes, that's a hard topic.
- 25:19He goes, none of us really want to talk and I go, no, that's the
- 25:24biggest thing talking and like you're doing, I said just create
- 25:28an open. You have to speak it.
- 25:30You have to get it out in order for it to become and just a
- 25:34beautiful, positive moment of time.
- 25:39Amen. That's right.
- 25:39And that's, you know, the same way with, with us with this
- 25:42show, you know, it's generally for anyone with any hurts,
- 25:46habits or hang ups, you know, and I'll go through those 12
- 25:49step programs that are very similar to Alcoholics Anonymous,
- 25:53Narcotics Anonymous step programs.
- 25:57Of course, ours is that I try to do as a faith-based type step
- 26:00program. And it is so true to speak
- 26:03things out, you know, to, to ask for forgiveness when it's
- 26:06appropriate or or otherwise, you know, make make amends to people
- 26:12and things. And that's so important.
- 26:14I wanted to also recognize the motivated mindset, not motivated
- 26:18mindset. I'm sorry, but Don, Don is in
- 26:21the background. He's taking care of business and
- 26:25with a, with a one of his children.
- 26:28And but we thank Don for being here.
- 26:30He's titled the good servant and look forward to hearing more of
- 26:34his programs and him him being on MBR with other hosts.
- 26:39And we look forward to hearing that we just had our buddy from
- 26:43the West Coast right. That's correct, of course.
- 26:49Tell us a little bit fair we're listen Farhon we're here today
- 26:53talking about military broadcast radio.
- 26:56It's our birthday this weekend and I was kind of struck trying
- 27:01to surprise each of you guys as host bringing the own here
- 27:04together. So you know meeting of the minds
- 27:07around Reds round table. I don't see anything round about
- 27:10this except maybe portions of my head, but that's right.
- 27:16But hey, you know, my title today was the Mic is in the Med,
- 27:20you know, the online therapeutic prescription.
- 27:23Is that for real? Do you think that's legitimate
- 27:25to say that? Definitely how I got to be here
- 27:29in front of you today, man. For sure, right.
- 27:32I, I mean, when I found Internet radio in 2009, going into 2010,
- 27:38I was, I was lost and only, only because a friend of mine said,
- 27:44Hey, you should go because I was a huge sports fan back then.
- 27:48And so they were like, you should go do a sports show
- 27:50online or something. I was like, what are you talking
- 27:51about? Like, oh, the other guys blog
- 27:52talk or something. And, and literally that that
- 27:56show kept me limited to the future of that next episode,
- 28:00which kept me alive. Wow.
- 28:02OK, that right there, that's powerful.
- 28:05That's. Chilling type.
- 28:07Chilling type stuff and I agree wholeheartedly.
- 28:10Like I said, I'm, I am a man. I'm a grateful believer in Jesus
- 28:16Christ. OK, That's and that's how I
- 28:18start my shows usually. I'm a grateful believer in Jesus
- 28:21Christ. I am celebrating my recoveries
- 28:24from alcoholism over 30 years. I'm celebrating some great gains
- 28:31and wins over anxiety, over depression and so many other
- 28:37things that I can't perform. You know, I'm just, I'm not that
- 28:41guy That's anywhere close to 100% anymore where I can, you
- 28:47know, serve the military, although I have, and I feel this
- 28:50is kind of a way that we can still be kind of in the mix with
- 28:54the blue suitors, the green suitors kind of still be in the
- 28:58fight in a sense, You know, the camaraderie We have a lot of us
- 29:02as disabled veterans, as as former military, as just
- 29:06veterans and whether it's wartime or not.
- 29:11And, and, and just how hype I am on recommending this for other
- 29:18folks. They're veterans that might have
- 29:20a have a feeling that they want to get on my air, whether it be
- 29:24as a podcast host, which you can completely learn how to do that.
- 29:29I've learned how to do it somewhat might not be the
- 29:32greatest, but I can do it and I'm willing to press record
- 29:35right. And we have the folks that are
- 29:38around like yourself since 2009 H train that's been around since
- 29:43I believe even earlier in the 2000s, maybe O four O 5, I want
- 29:48to say, plus he's got a degree in broadcasting.
- 29:51I'm not not sure what everybody else has, but we have the talent
- 29:56to teach each other and teach, you know, we're all experts in
- 30:00some way or another with some type of talent, OK with
- 30:06broadcasting, with speaking in public or might be in, in
- 30:12holistic healing. It might be in, you know, so
- 30:15many different areas. And by us bringing this together
- 30:20and sharing with each other, with each other, the
- 30:23camaraderie, you know, and the support for one another, knowing
- 30:27that we have, we're like minded. OK, We come from the same type
- 30:31thing, although we're human anyway.
- 30:33We come from the same type, no doubt about it.
- 30:35But we are in a position, military broadcast radio to give
- 30:41veterans a voice. And that is that's what the
- 30:44amazing thing is. And it's been so good for me, I
- 30:48believe just by being, you know, having having to keep attention
- 30:52to something on a regular basis. And and you know, it's, it's
- 30:56always about helping others. We're helping other folks while
- 31:00we help ourselves. We're not keeping secrets from
- 31:03other people. We're letting people know what's
- 31:05helped us. And I urge anybody that's out
- 31:08there and hears about military podcast radio, set up
- 31:13appointment, e-mail the station and just learn more about it,
- 31:18whether you want to be a podcast host yourself or you'd like to
- 31:21be just seen on a show or you'd like to honor somebody else.
- 31:25And there's ways to support military broadcast radio.
- 31:28I thank everybody else that's out there on it.
- 31:31And you guys, what what else we got Tracer?
- 31:34I mean, what, what, when's your next show?
- 31:37When does it air? I want to point something out.
- 31:40It is on Wednesday at 4:00 PM Pacific Time.
- 31:44OK. But one of the things that that
- 31:46you're talking about for me is, well, it's important because
- 31:48when we talk about suicide awareness and suicide prevention
- 31:51and these kind of conversations, they say that like a fire that
- 31:54takes three elements. And those three elements are the
- 31:58degree of planning, the intensity of wanting to live or
- 32:02die, and the amount of distress that the person is in, right?
- 32:06And if you can interrupt one of those three, you will not
- 32:10complete your life, right? You have to, if not that, you
- 32:13have to. But if you can interrupt one of
- 32:15those, and that's what, you know, this Internet radio did
- 32:18for me, interrupt one of those for me each time.
- 32:21Each time it was a different thing, right?
- 32:23Each time it was a different one of those those three pieces.
- 32:26But I always was able to live into the future of that next
- 32:29episode and not want to, you know, thought about it, but not
- 32:35wanted to actually go through the process and and and I had a
- 32:38level of mental toughness. I play basketball, play sports.
- 32:41And so having a level of mental toughness already, I knew that
- 32:44there was something there, but how I was experiencing life at
- 32:48that moment was really different.
- 32:50And so I want our brothers and sisters to know that you do have
- 32:53that strength in you already. You just got to maybe find
- 32:57something or find someone that you can have confidence in that
- 33:00won't slander your name and open up to that person and really
- 33:03share because most of us are afraid to be judged right
- 33:06already. And when I went to God, like I
- 33:09asked the Holy Spirit, like, what is it beyond judgement?
- 33:12And I remember when I was in radio school, one of the
- 33:15promises that we made was not to slander a person's name because
- 33:18you can interview someone, chop that interview up into different
- 33:22ways and have that person sound like a total, total crook.
- 33:28The way that you edit that that audio, right?
- 33:31And when I heard that, I was like, wow, that's serious.
- 33:34And so I always kind of had that in the background of making sure
- 33:36that I wasn't that kind of person that would edit up a show
- 33:40or change the way a person's context of how they said
- 33:42something. Because slander is worse than
- 33:45being judged. Right, right.
- 33:48Hey, I appreciate you saying all that.
- 33:50And, and that is well versed, I mean well versed and I, I'm
- 33:56guessing some of these other media folks that you might see
- 33:59on a regular TV and stuff might have missed that message
- 34:02somewhere. And you can tell sometimes you
- 34:06don't know what to believe. And I'm just thankful that
- 34:08we're, we're not in a situation like that.
- 34:11We're not throwing words in people's mouth.
- 34:13We are just simply telling the truth, trying to help each
- 34:18other's as we help ourselves and how we can grow together.
- 34:23And I'm I'm amazed by it. Me and me and Mji believe and
- 34:28Tracer has to be right there at the same time and Amber, we're
- 34:31all right there around that one year mark.
- 34:34Yes, you know what I mean? I guess 11 to 13 or 14 months
- 34:39anyway. And Oh my gosh, the things that
- 34:44I have learned in the past year, the third, the things that have
- 34:48have reversed, they've reversed from a negative to a positive
- 34:54just from meeting you guys, you know, and that is just, that's
- 34:58just amazing. And John Shine made a comment.
- 35:02Only God will judge in the end. And that is so true.
- 35:05We're not to judge, you know, and only guy will judge in the
- 35:09end. Anybody else tracing?
- 35:11You got anything you'd like to share real quick?
- 35:15You know, I just, I learned from all of you every day and we have
- 35:18so many great hosts and we are serving so many different
- 35:23people. You know, like we each have our
- 35:25own lane and we're all serving different demographics.
- 35:28So to collectively we're hitting a lot of different people and
- 35:31we're really making a difference in my opinion.
- 35:33You know, we've helped a lot of people over this past year.
- 35:36Like you said, I've learned a lot.
- 35:38Do I know everything about broadcasting and about Internet
- 35:41radio? No, I do not.
- 35:43But we're all able to come together and we're all able to
- 35:47share this platform and we're all able to get our message out.
- 35:50And I think NBR is the conduit that all of us are using to do
- 35:52that. And I, you know, I celebrate the
- 35:54fact that we get to do this. And I think it's an honor to get
- 35:57to talk to all the people we talk to.
- 35:59And whenever and like for Ron's point, you know, whenever I
- 36:03interview a guest, I always tell them upfront, look, I'm not here
- 36:06with any agenda at all. You tell me what you want to
- 36:09tell me and we'll talk about what you want to talk about.
- 36:11And if something makes you uncomfortable, you pivot because
- 36:14we don't want to talk about anything that makes you
- 36:15uncomfortable and puts you in a in that position.
- 36:17So I'm not here for my own, for my own edification.
- 36:21I'm here for yours. I'm here to give you a platform
- 36:23and to give you a voice. And so that's what really
- 36:26military broadcast radio is. It's giving people a voice, not
- 36:29only us as host, but our guests. Yeah.
- 36:33Right. I like that, Eva.
- 36:35Yeah, there was a a huge take away that I had yesterday.
- 36:40There was one part that I gave to the audience because I was a
- 36:44panelist. That was the title of it was
- 36:47where's my mic? And you know, I shared that, you
- 36:52know, as as not only as host, but you know, a lot of times our
- 36:57guests also we're sharing, you know, particular vulnerability
- 37:02and being very authentic with what what we're saying on the
- 37:06mic. But the other, the other
- 37:09panelist that I was with his, his name is Sarge.
- 37:12I think it's Manning is his last name.
- 37:14Sarge Manning. He's on LinkedIn, so shout out
- 37:17to him. But he said, I guess in his
- 37:20research that there were three things that most of these
- 37:23podcasts or radio shows are going to be about.
- 37:27And it's probably something that we can probably even bring home
- 37:31for us. And it's inform, educate and
- 37:35inspire. So we're even, you know, passing
- 37:39out some and kind of information and, and, you know, informing
- 37:44people about programs that are available or educating them
- 37:48about, you know, our program that how do they apply for
- 37:52something? What benefits do they have?
- 37:55And then inspire somebody, you know, for some kind of
- 37:59transformation that hopefully that they're making so that
- 38:03they're not making an irreversible choice, that, you
- 38:07know, we're all here to help make sure that those numbers
- 38:10from 22 keep dropping and don't go the other way.
- 38:14Absolutely. Right.
- 38:16That's right. That's exactly right.
- 38:18And Amber. Yeah, I just as far as podcasts
- 38:24go and, and being a host, I try to bring stories that educate
- 38:33and inspire, but also, you know, I try to bring awareness to
- 38:41injustice and things like that. And I've been so thankful that
- 38:45MBR has given me that ability to do that.
- 38:49I've always done it as a, you know, from 7 years old, I can
- 38:52remember dealing with the police and all the way up till now, you
- 38:57know, I, I feel like, well, I know God has prepared me
- 39:03throughout my whole life and the interactions that I've had.
- 39:07And it's like now I have the ability to bring these stories
- 39:12out and I just want to do justice to everybody.
- 39:16And I just want, I want people to live a better life, you know,
- 39:23and that's what I'm trying to do.
- 39:25And I'm just so thankful that NBR has allowed me to do that.
- 39:28And I just try to be a blessing. Right.
- 39:31OK. Exactly.
- 39:33MJ anything else real quick on that like that?
- 39:37I therapeutic wise, any time that you get to speak aloud is
- 39:43that it's healing the soul and it's healing that trauma to
- 39:47release itself and MBR. We have to remember that every
- 39:55single person who is a DJ on here or a visitor, they're
- 40:00speaking what we call their truths, right?
- 40:02So when we tell them, I always tell people, it might not be
- 40:06your truth, but it's my truth. So we have to remember we're
- 40:10real people, every single one of us are.
- 40:12We lived our life in our own journey and when we live our
- 40:15life in our own journey. My truth might not resonate with
- 40:19somebody else's truth, whether they haven't learned the life
- 40:22lesson or whether I haven't learned the life lesson.
- 40:25That they're trauma, but they're all trauma patterns or life
- 40:29lessons. MBR again that voice to go out
- 40:34to the 90 + 1000 people who listen.
- 40:39Good for you and take what you need and leave the rest that you
- 40:42don't. That's right, That's that's
- 40:44right. That's fair enough.
- 40:46That's fair enough. Turn the channel, scroll on if
- 40:48you, you know, I mean, and catch the next episode or the next
- 40:51show that's coming on. Look, I know, you know, you said
- 40:56we don't have an agenda and stuff like that.
- 40:57I got an agenda. Well, I'm going to share.
- 40:59I got a little agenda. No, it's a strategy.
- 41:02I have a strategy. Today, let me tell you my
- 41:05agenda. No, you got one too.
- 41:07No listen. Listen.
- 41:09This my show, this show that I do freedom from struggle.
- 41:13And it's, it's not only for myself.
- 41:16I want it to be for everybody, OK?
- 41:19And like I said, I'm a grateful believer in Jesus Christ.
- 41:22And my agenda for one thing is to share my faith, you know, and
- 41:26to share my trust and Jesus Christ, you know, and God sent
- 41:32his Son to die on the cross to save me and you, everyone from
- 41:37their sins, you know, and all we have to do is really believe in
- 41:40him and have everlasting life. Now, there's things that go on
- 41:44with that. And I would like to think part
- 41:47of this, my show is somewhat of a ministry where I'm practicing
- 41:51in a sense that Great Commission type stuff where I'm still
- 41:56trying to share it out there with other people, but also to
- 41:59do that in an, you know, in a pleasant way, a nice way.
- 42:03You can't force anything on somebody.
- 42:05You can carry a horse of water, which can't make them drink And,
- 42:09and we know that. But I do want to know where I,
- 42:12where people, where I find my hope, where, where, where I find
- 42:17my, my rescue from the all demons that I've faced, you
- 42:22know, and, and I say demons, I mean in the way of depression,
- 42:25anxiety, bad habits, bad thoughts and this type of stuff.
- 42:32And, and I just want to share with people that there is hope.
- 42:35There is a light tunnel. You just have to you search for
- 42:41it and you ask and it's just it, it's really a simple, it's
- 42:47really a simple thing, although it can be so difficult to make
- 42:52that decision and what like for I was saying you have to
- 42:57interrupt these other things. And when we got these other
- 43:00things, we got me mine, mine on our mind.
- 43:03It's sometimes it's hard to forget about they me's want me
- 43:07enjoy this. I'm wanting to do that.
- 43:09I want to experience this. I don't want to be left out, you
- 43:13know, and sometimes it's really best to be left out and some
- 43:17things and be on a different path and you, some of your best
- 43:21friends are on and to straight stay on that straight and narrow
- 43:25and not to get out in the briars, if you will.
- 43:27Look, let's have a word real quick again from our sponsor and
- 43:30we're going to come right back and we'll be closing out the
- 43:33show. So y'all stay tuned, stay it,
- 43:35stay with us. Grab yourself a cup of water if
- 43:38you need to turn the volume up so you can hear the music while
- 43:41you walk away. But we'll be right back.
- 46:45The station where our veterans voices are heard.
- 46:48MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 46:51For tuning. In welcome are those of the
- 46:55speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions
- 47:00of any entities they represent. Find.
- 47:02Us on the web at MB Radio dot web.
- 47:06Speaking of MB Radio dot US, Happy birthday military
- 47:09broadcast radio. I have to say it one more time,
- 47:12y'all Terry Tracer rounds. Let's listen here.

- 47:23other shows that's on MBR that we hadn't mentioned yet?
- 47:29Redeemed, healthy and redeemed. OK.
- 47:32And we have, we had tell the whistle, tell the final whistle.
- 47:38Bourbon and ball. Bourbon and ball, yeah.
- 47:41And. Dog tag diva.
- 47:44Dog tag diva. Absolutely.
- 47:46And Tony's show inside. He's your mind.
- 47:49Yeah. Tucker mouth on the road with
- 47:51Tucker mouth. Yeah, we have.

- 48:08The prayer. Yeah, I love letters with Lee.
- 48:11What about double Slayer and Jen X?
- 48:14Yeah, Gen. X friends.
- 48:15Yep. Man talk.
- 48:17Slinger is. Probably.
- 48:18What about hearing Stogie the Stogies?
- 48:21Is that show still on? Turnbuckles and stogies.
- 48:23Yeah, turnbuckles and stogie is still on.
- 48:25Sunday boardings, I think yes. So my Freedom from Struggle show
- 48:30at 3:00, we got a show coming up right after this.
- 48:33Jose's going to be airing. Motivated mindset. 11 minutes
- 48:37and the end. We have Eva from pain to purpose
- 48:40and then we have Amber within to the weeds.
- 48:42Yes, we got a line up tonight. And we have OM radio.
- 48:46Don't forget about OM on Thursdays, Yeah?
- 48:49Very, very. That's a popular show.
- 48:51And where can people find all this?
- 48:54Where can they find these shows? Everywhere the radio dot US
- 48:58that's. Right.
- 49:00On the app on Roku, on Amazon Fire, on the website, on
- 49:04Facebook, on Twitter, on Twitch, on.
- 49:09YouTube. And we got a gamer, we got a
- 49:11gamer channel going on. And hey, I don't know.
- 49:14And I've invited a couple DJs, but I guess they might have got
- 49:18the word late, you know, because this was kind of like a surprise
- 49:22type thing. You know, I was trying to
- 49:23surprise everybody really, but and it worked a little bit, but
- 49:29we got our DJs that play that play the music on there, right?
- 49:33Blade and Clado and Nick I believe.
- 49:37Nick, DJ Nick. Yep.
- 49:41DJ Zorn, I think. Yeah.
- 49:43DJ Zorn. Yes.
- 49:45Yeah, I mean, I, I, that's good stuff.
- 49:47And I know they do. A lot of times they do a kind of
- 49:50a theme to the music they're playing, right?
- 49:53Clado Plato that. Yeah, because his birthday.
- 49:59'S tomorrow. Happy birthday Clado.
- 50:01Right there with the military broadcast radio and Clado
- 50:04celebrating the birthday together.
- 50:06I should have he's. An OG on the music side, he he's
- 50:09been here a long time. OK, All right.
- 50:11Good deal. All right, Well, look, we've got
- 50:14a lot of good things. I have old Mississippi pie
- 50:16Thunder. Got it.
- 50:18Friend of mine, a lifetime friend from here in Meridian.
- 50:21He just popped in and said hello.
- 50:22Hello, buddy. Y'all.
- 50:23Listen, we had. I'll just tell you this real
- 50:26quick, Last week or not last week, Wednesday night, I believe
- 50:29it was right here in Meridian, Ms. I don't know if anybody
- 50:33watches the American Idol, but there's this guy named Jamal.
- 50:38And I know they have a lot of talented individuals on there,
- 50:41but this gentleman named Jamal, he's from Meridian, Ms. and he's
- 50:46an educator, OK? He works in the schools,
- 50:49probably mid 30s I believe. But that joker can sing, he has
- 50:56some talent, and if y'all get a chance, y'all ought to.
- 50:59You ought to look, check out American Idol and check him out.
- 51:03What is? What's age train?
- 51:04Says Nick Bernice. What's that?
- 51:07That's our DJ Nick. Oh, DJ Nick.
- 51:10OK, I can't even say all that. Nick.
- 51:12Bernice Pitsagoni. How's that for Meridian speech?
- 51:20I speak Southernese, y'all. Give me a break.
- 51:22OK. Hey, you know, but anyway,
- 51:27listen, I want to thank everybody again for being here.
- 51:30Let's take about a minute, a minute a piece.
- 51:32Tracy, you got anything else you need to share with everybody?
- 51:37If you're wanting to join a join a podcast or be on a podcast or
- 51:41host a podcast or do music, reach out because we're always
- 51:45looking for a new talent, new veterans to highlight, and just
- 51:49new people to add to our platform.
- 51:51So we're happy to have you. Absolutely.
- 51:53And everybody be welcome, welcomed with open arms, right
- 51:56MJ? What you got?
- 51:58Invite what you got. So, you know, MBR is a stepping
- 52:03stone and there has been a lot of really, really good DJs who
- 52:08got picked up for stations or other things.
- 52:11So this truly is a a beautiful stepping stone and figure out,
- 52:18is it truly something that you want?
- 52:20Is it truly something that you can get your message across?
- 52:22So I can't sit here and know that there are people who
- 52:27absolutely went through this and they are they're on their way
- 52:32into a rehabilitation. And the ones that reach out, we
- 52:36have some sports people who left.
- 52:38We have Griz, we have Matt, I mean Goose, these people all
- 52:42went on their own beyond. So remember, just because you're
- 52:47here and you don't know anything about it doesn't mean that you
- 52:51have a life purpose, sole purpose.
- 52:52It could be a change for you. That's right.
- 52:56Let's mention in that. Let's hear from our guy down
- 52:58here, the other guy that's on the podcast with me today.
- 53:02What's happening? What's happening?
- 53:04You've been in this for quite a while, I know.
- 53:06When you're not only on military broadcast radio, Is that
- 53:10correct? Yeah, that's correct.
- 53:12Let's hear it. I have a show on AMFM radio
- 53:16Sunday nights at 8:00 PM on KCA radio.
- 53:19It's the Ferrand Dozier show, just another edition that I've
- 53:22been doing since 2021 over there.
- 53:26But yeah, I've been on a bunch of different networks over time
- 53:31and I came on an interview randomly over here in 2021 and
- 53:37fell in love with the conversation, fell in love with
- 53:39H and they they invited me to do a show back then.
- 53:43But I had so many other shows that I didn't even know how to,
- 53:49you know, do another episode because I had my military show
- 53:52on hold kind of. And so when there was a military
- 53:55network here, again, God aligns everything because by sickle
- 53:59cell trade advocacy work, Denver is one of the worst places a
- 54:03person with sickle cell trade could live because of the
- 54:06altitude. And so just connecting all those
- 54:09different dots, just, you know, after a couple years, I was
- 54:13like, you know what, let me go ahead and, and see what they
- 54:15talking about over there. So I brought my military show
- 54:17Trench Talk here in 2024 and just had a blast and just truly
- 54:22blessed to, again, for me, it's therapy because I was taught
- 54:27that as a soldier, civilians don't understand us, right?
- 54:32And, and they drilled that into US and basic training and just
- 54:35through my whole career and coming out of the military back
- 54:38into this civilian lifestyle or wanted to create a space of
- 54:42relatedness. And even even us as veterans, we
- 54:45forget that we were people 1st. And so sometimes that human
- 54:49connection, how we talk, how we objectify and label one another,
- 54:53it really disconnects us from the experiences.
- 54:57And when I saw my life in other people in 20, 2010, 2011, I knew
- 55:04that we're not different. And so that's really what I do,
- 55:07is have that relating this conversation with people.
- 55:10I appreciate that. That's good, good, good stuff.
- 55:12Amber, real quick, we're going to have to sign off here in just
- 55:15a couple minutes, but you got something else you'd like to
- 55:20announce or to let everybody know about?
- 55:23You know, no, I would just encourage everybody who is
- 55:26listening, who's a veteran or first responder who can actually
- 55:31come on board NPR. You know, if you have been
- 55:34sitting there watching podcasts or YouTube videos for years and
- 55:39you think, man, I could do that or, or I've had an interesting
- 55:43life and I can share my life. Go ahead and do it.
- 55:47You know, I mean, we're here to help you succeed.
- 55:51And so just please reach out to us because it will change your
- 55:56life for the better, I believe. Right.
- 55:57And we do that, but we, and just saying that, I know we also we
- 56:01have faceless shows where it's just the voice, right and
- 56:05straight, you just see the screen.
- 56:07But where it can be listened to or viewed either way, whether
- 56:11it's on a laptop or cell phones or even just on a yeah, just
- 56:16just be a like radio type voice only.
- 56:20And which that's pretty cool because some people don't want
- 56:22to get in front of a camera. So you don't necessarily have to
- 56:25get in front of the camera and but it's nice to see faces.
- 56:30There's no doubt about that. But I too, I encourage folks to
- 56:33jump in and and be a part MJ. Would you want to say one other
- 56:37thing? I did.
- 56:37I just really want to thank every single artist who supplies
- 56:41us with their music for people to hear their story and to
- 56:46resonate with that. That that is so true too.
- 56:49And if you want to your music played on military broadcast
- 56:52radio, you can also reach out if you want to, you know, provide
- 56:55some of your music and entertainment that we can
- 56:57entertain people with. And I believe, I believe with
- 57:01that, that's most everything that I was really could have a
- 57:05wish for today on a show to to help promote each other's shows,
- 57:11to promote military broadcast radio, to let people know
- 57:15they're invited to join us, whether as a actual host or a DJ
- 57:21or just being a guest on a show. And ways that people can provide
- 57:27support and that on providing support, military broadcast
- 57:31radio can't. It does need some financial
- 57:34support. And I just want to urge people,
- 57:38if you're in that position, whether it be $10 a month,
- 57:42whether it be whatever, you know, our nice, real nice
- 57:44sponsorship, think about supporting military broadcast
- 57:49radio and our mission that we have here.
- 57:52It is legitimate. It is for real and it touches
- 57:56individuals inside their minds and in their hearts.
- 58:00And hopefully we also reach out to families of military members
- 58:05and veterans, families that may have lost loved ones or just,
- 58:09you know, may just have that patriotic little touch inside
- 58:13their heart and soul that they want to be part of it.
- 58:16Look, we really do have to sign up.
- 58:18We got another show coming on immediately following us.
- 58:22But hey, military, military broadcast radio is not about
- 58:27making money. It's about giving veterans a
- 58:30voice. And one more time, everybody,
- 58:32while we're here, happy. Birthday.
- 58:34Happy birthday. Thank you and.
- 58:43Thank you H and and people like Ron just for sharing y'all's
- 58:46knowledge with us and Terry, MJ, Amber, Eva for everybody's
- 58:52talents that are shared. Y'all have a good day.
- 58:54Thank you. Don't leave military broadcast
- 58:56radio. We have.
- 58:57We're almost done. Hours of shows coming up right
- 59:00after this. Have a blessed day.
- 59:03Y'all have a blessed day, bye. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you
- 59:08for tuning in to Military Broadcast Radio.
