So, imagine you have a headache and you need something for it. Luna: Oh, I've had that happen. And you don't always know the right words. Lucas: That's why we're here. First phrase: Je voudrais quelque chose pour le mal de tête. Luna: Je voudrais quelque chose pour le mal de tête. I would like something for the headache. Lucas: Perfect. Now, the pharmacist might ask: Avez-vous de l'aspirine? That means 'Do you have aspirin?' Luna: Avez-vous de l'aspirine? That's a good question. And the answer could be Oui, nous avons de l'aspirine. Lucas: Exactly, 'Yes, we have aspirin.' Then you can ask the price: Combien ça coûte? Luna: Combien ça coûte? How much does it cost? Very useful. And the pharmacist says C'est six euros. Lucas: Right. Then you can say Je prends, meaning 'I'll take it.' Luna: So the whole dialogue: you say Je voudrais quelque chose pour le mal de tête. Pharmacist says Avez-vous de l'aspirine? You say Oui, nous avons de l'aspirine. Then Combien ça coûte? Pharmacist says C'est six euros. You say Je prends. That's a full interaction. Lucas: That's it. Let's practice the phrases.
