- 0:12SPEAKER_01: Achievements do not come from accelerations.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: The achievements come from the actions that you make.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Whenever you go to a face of greatness, you must be the environment that just creates.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: People underestimate the amount of work required to move from ideation to action.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: If necessity is the manner of invention, repetition is the kind of skill.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I used to be afraid of failure.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: But these days, I I I Hi, my name is Richie Mensa, and welcome to the Masterminds Podcast.

- 0:58SPEAKER_00: We're going to have an exciting conversation today.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: So usually what I like to do before my guest gets here is I'll do research, I'll put down some questions, and then we have some conversation around the question and the topic.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: But today, no, we're not doing that.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Because this man sitting here is a thinker.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: You know, I know he's into real estate, he's written a lot of books.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: But aside that, I love the way he thinks.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: I watch his videos, I watch his YouTube channel, and I see how he talks about so many different topics in a very insightful way.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: So today we are just going to chat.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Moses Biatha.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Mastermind.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: How are you doing?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: How are you doing?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: I'm okay.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to be here.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I've been chasing you.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: You know, you were traveling, touring around the world, and everything.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Your Benny Day.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So tell me, how did you get into this journey?
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I knew right now we have a similar journey, so I want to know your story.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: How did you start inspiring people with your knowledge?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Um, thank you.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for having me on your platform.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm very excited to be here.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: And I I received your email, and then the team is like, Rich is calling you.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: The reason being that casually from time to time they'll hear me play a very old song of yours.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Um because we kill in the game.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: It's a very game, yeah, it's a very old song.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: So growing up, I used to you know rap everything on that song and all of that.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: So you're like, Rich is rich.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm excited because mastermind, and for me, um, I always say that the mind is God's biggest gift He's given you.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: So I was very excited when we got your invitation, and thank you for the amazing work you're doing by means of this.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: And it's it's gonna go a long way to shape a generation, it's gonna go a long way to inspire a group of people who are gonna come um after you.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, with this, you're also cementing your legacy in a certain way because most of the times legacy isn't just what you're doing whilst you are here, but it's the echoes of your voice and your footprints through eternity when you're no longer here.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: So I'm really excited to be here.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: My journey um started off um in university.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: I think that growing up, I've always had a knack for wanting to see people become better.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: And um, as I grew and as I evolved as a young man and became more conscious, I realized that knowledge is one of the ways by which you get to build people, by which you get to establish people.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: And so I decided to become a knowledge merchant, a devourer of knowledge.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Most importantly, um apply myself to the things that you know I learn.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: And over the time, I'm like, what other way do you get to um be there for people?
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: It's by means of sharing the things that you're learning.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: And I pick it because I'm a kingdom entrepreneur, I pick it from a perspective.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: The biggest brand in the world is Jesus.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: True.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: The biggest brand in the world is Jesus.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: It's like the number of people that are subscribed to that brand is insane.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: And um, he taught us some very profound things as a brand, is that he lived for people, which is why he's the biggest brand in the world.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: So I was looking at how can I leave for people, and I'm like, the only way you can do that is to share the truths that are helping your becoming for a generation.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: And I think that consistently over the last eight years, we're seeing the results and we're seeing how far we've come.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: So, right from university, I'm like, I would want to, you know, teach, I would want to be there for people by means of the things that I share and also be action-inclined so that it's not just you are you're talking, but you're also doing the things that you preach, and it makes you it makes you solid, it makes you sound.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: So um, that's where the whole thing came from.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: And then I realized over a period that um many people want to be in the 1%.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Many people want to be in the 0.1%, many people want to be in the 0.01%.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: But saying that has got zero bearing to whether it will actually manifest.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: The reason being that achievements um do not come from aspirations, your achievements come from the actions that you make.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and so over time I realized that um if you want to embody knowledge, you want to embody knowledge and you also want to act on that knowledge.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And with time, um it's it's making waves, it's catching up, and we see the data does not lie, we see the number of people that are being transformed by the body of work, and we can only pray that it gets better, which is why I'm excited about what you're doing because it would shape people.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Nice one, nice one.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: But I think one thing that's even amazing about this journey, and I can tell when you speak, is anyone who looks to share knowledge must first seek knowledge.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: You you become sharper by wanting to help others.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: You know, I I try and let everybody understand this as much as I can that the only way to take care of yourself is to take care of others.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: To be selfish, you need to be selfless.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about your knowledge journey.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Where did you where did you start?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: What were some of the first maybe like books you read that set you on this path?
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Um again, from a kingdom standpoint, the scriptures have been very instrumental in my in my growth.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: I'm like, it's it's like a 360, it has quite a lot of things, you know, in there for us.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: But um, what are some of the things that I read?
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: I think that in trying to understand growth, and I have my own model on that, in trying to understand growth, there's what I came up with called the PNAM model.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: So P-E-N-A-M, the Pinam model, and P stands for your parents.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: We are all subconsciously programmed by the people who raised us.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Um, the things we know about money, the things we know about people, there are some people who cannot move to rich people because their parents said to them that rich people are evil, rich people are bad.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Don't go near rich people.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: You know we come from poor background.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Why are you in the why do you want to go and play game here and all of those things?
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So um the first place in understanding growth is our parents.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: They are our first point of status, they are our first point of power, um, their first point of credibility, literally everything.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: So the way our parents shaped us can go a long way to affect us, especially in our formative years, which is why I always say that by means of verbal programming, by means of modeling, which is what you saw, verbal programming, what you heard, and specific incidents, what your parents made you experience, over time, you have to go back and unlearn some of those things.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, else it will affect your journey in your becoming.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Then I speak about E.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: So E, Pinam, E, the E speaks of your environment.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: I always say that whenever you feel called to a place of greatness, you must find the environment that nurtures that greatness.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: Because it's not every environment that nurtures greatness.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: You cannot tell me that you want to be a global basketball star and you are based in a crack.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: It won't happen.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: It will never happen.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: That dream of yours, though valid, will never happen.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: You have to find yourself in that place where um basketball stars are raised, and that's in the United States, you know, and that's where we have the NBA and all of that.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: So your environment is very, very important.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: There are certain environments that um will not be able to nurture your growth, you will not see any form of partnership whatsoever in that environment.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: So that was also key.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And then um, I say Pinam, the end is for your nation.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: In the sense that if we woke up today and then you and I belonged in Iraq, we will not be having this conversation today.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: We will not even think of whether we could stretch to touch a million dollars.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: The reason being that basic necessity of life is not even found in that place, the the whole place speaks about survival.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it's it's such a crazy thing because if you think about it, your your nation tells on a certain possibility of what you can become.
- 9:00SPEAKER_01: So if the guy in Iraq this morning has not eaten, there's bomb here and there, a whole lot of things.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: And you want to tell me that you'll be probably thinking on the same wavelength as the Ghanaian.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: No.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: And then A, speaking of like your association, so Binam, the A speaks of your association.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: In that regard, for me, is that people underestimate how your association impacts your life.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: There's an outsized impact of the kind of people you keep, how it affects how you think, how you feel, and how you act.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: It's so profound.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: I think I always tell my team that association is one of the most powerful mysteries God blessed that world with that affects your manifestation.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you pick scripture, you look at a man like um Abraham, and he had a guy in there called Lot.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Lot is blessed.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: So if you look through that scripture scene very well, Genesis 12.13, Lot starts out on a journey and he has nothing.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: And by means of his association with Abraham, he becomes blessed.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: And then at some point he breaks away and then he loses everything.
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he actually became so wealthy a man that they had to separate, you know.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Um, um Laban said concerning Jacob, he said that I have learnt by experience that the Lord has blessed me because of you.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: So there are certain people that show up in your life by means of association that speed up manifestation of your blessing, and then media.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: So media is for the M.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: And we wake up, we're bombarded with all kinds of information, and which is why, again, I'm excited about Mastermind.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Because if you're a young person, you want to shape the perspective of your life, then this is a podcast and a platform that you want to be on because a lot of people are saying things.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: How many of them have worked their path?
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: How many of them have actually seen the things that they are talking about to be able to teach you to help you navigate the storms of life and what life is coming with?
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And so for me, I came into that framework and I'm like, okay, then now how do I gather books around this framework to be able to shape my becoming?
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: So my parents, I realized that I needed to unlearn certain things and especially around finance money.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: You know, in African homes, it's it's sort of like a taboo to talk about money.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Yes, it is.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's a crazy thing.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: So think and grow rich.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Um, of course, Robert Kiyosaki's rich that poor that.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: I think for almost everybody who's done something outstanding has read.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: You need to read, you need at least those two books.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: You need to read it.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: Think and grow rich, Robert Kiyosaki's um rich that, poor that.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: God bless that man because the volume of the impact of that work that it had on a generation is timeless.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: You know, so think and grow rich, and then um Robert Kiyosaki's rich that poor that gave me a very good perspective to unlearn certain things about upbringing, about programming, yeah, about the way we have been raised to see certain things.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: You know, I was telling a friend that it's very difficult for a lot of people to give big money to God.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: When we're growing up in our programming, our mothers would keep their CD notes and they'll give us the coins.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So subconsciously, you've been programmed from childhood to think that God deserves Delhi.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: So there are certain practices that we experienced growing up that we have had to unlearn.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: And um those books became the foundation for me to undo that.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: And um, quite a number of them, Victor Frankel's Man's Search for Meaning.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: It's it's such a very profound book that you would want to um glean on.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Um, Gene Edwards has a book called A Tale of Three Kings.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: And it looks at David, it looks at Saul, it looks at Absalom.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: Three amazing young men, different kinds of leadership styles, different kinds of arts.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And for me, uh it speaks to the kind of leader I want to become.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: So Gene Edwards um has that um outliers.
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: I've read I've read quite a number of books outliers as well.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Um, quite a number of them.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: If I said I wanted to go into all of them, I wouldn't be able to.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: But yeah, basically, I read books based off of that framework, books that will make me understand my environment better, um, bring me into a place of exposure because what you have not been exposed to, you can't have um bring myself into a place of understanding things concerning the nation that I belong to.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: So um sometimes people go like, you don't talk about social stuff.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I have things to say, I just don't feel it's the right time.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: Um I feel like there are certain things if you want to address, you need to, you need to probably sit in a certain room to be able to address them.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: And it's my own framework on how I look at life.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Um, yes.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: So basically the books on that, books that also aid your association, how to influence friends, um, how to understand relationships.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And for me, I think when it comes to understanding relationships, I've gleaned a lot from the scriptures because there are timeless wisdoms about people who have lived and you know, that you can glean from and all of that.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And of course, now um we live in a in a digital age.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: We've never belonged to a world like this.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: I say that our parents belonged to the job economy, you and I belong to the gig economy.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: In the gig economy, we make money with our heads and our hands.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: And um, literally, if you were gonna get married 10 years ago and you said you were a content creator, they will not probably allow you to get married to their daughter because you needed to be a banker.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: They won allow you to date your grandpa.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: You know, but today people walk into homes and they are TikTok stars, and because the world is literally transitioning.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: So my my my make of reading and everything is centered around those blocks.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: So now that's good.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: You started the theory, you showed me the reading.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: But how did you convert that into the practical part and apply it into your life?
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: So, like I said, a lot of people want to do things, very few of them are able to take the necessary action.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: And I think that we belong to a generation where people underestimate the amount of effort and the amount of work you need to put into a particular thing for it to become reality.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: And I think that is where again it begins to rob us of the things that we're supposed to do.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And again, I think that foundationally, a lot of people do not have the right mindset to which they used to approach things.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: People think that for you to be great, it must be easy.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: For you to excel at anything, you you you it must be easy.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: So people want to live an exceptional life, but they are not ready to do the things that exceptional people do.
- 15:39SPEAKER_01: So I say that for you to live an exceptional life, you must become the exception.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: Becoming the exception will mean that becoming the exception will mean that you can't live the way everybody else is living.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: I before I came here, I was telling uh my guy Joe, I was telling him that Richie is like the Don Jazzi of Ghana's entertainment sector.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: But again, until you started this podcast, people have not seen the kind of sacrifices you've had to do to be able to get to the heights you have gotten to.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: So to live an exceptional life, you must be the exception.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And being the exception will mean that you cannot have the same crop of friends.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: You must be ready to do certain sacrifices, you must be able to adopt certain hobbies.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: The other day, my I think I saw something funny on social media.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: It said, you do not have anybody in your family who plays golf and you are sleeping.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: And I laughed so much.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: And then somebody commented under it that from today, I've stopped playing spa and FIFA because the rich people play golf and chess.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: And I laughed about it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: But it's it's the reality because to belong to certain rooms, there's a way the people in those rooms do life, there's a way they see life.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And so people underestimate the amount of work required to move from ideation to action.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: But again, it's just as simple as starting.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: No founder started off as a founder.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Every founder started off as a beginner.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: And the thing is that you don't need an experience to start.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: You just have to start.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: And when you start, clarity comes in.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Because the more you work on a vision, the more it becomes better.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: The more you work on a vision, the more it becomes better.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: So for instance, um, let me use my public speaking journey as an example.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: Right from 2017, I knew I wanted to be a knowledge merchant and be of a blessing to people.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: But then I also realized that for you to be a knowledge merchant, you must be able to communicate your thoughts.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Then I realized, okay, for you to communicate your thoughts, there's a sign to it.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: One of them is you must learn how to write.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: Because whenever you learn how to write, it introduces the gaps in your understanding or in your thinking.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: So when there's an idea in my mind and I start to write it, and I look at it again, I'm able to appreciate the gap in my thinking concerning that.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: It brings clarity.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Then it makes you know what you should work on.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: So I realized that okay, for me to be a good speaker, I must write.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: So I scribble my thoughts and I write a lot.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: I scribble my thoughts.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Anything that I see as a student of life, I just you know, scribble my thoughts down.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Then I realized that you must communicate with so much clarity for people to understand.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: That will mean you have to practice over and over and over and over and over again.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: So there's there's a hairbrush that um I have from senior high school.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: I went to Anglican Senior High School in Commander, so I have this hairbrush.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: I still have it.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: That is what I actually started learning public speaking with.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And I always say that someday when we feel the old to speak, we'll bring that hairbrush out.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: We bring the hairbrush and I would practice.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: I would practice.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Recently, I came across some old videos of mine where I was practicing.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: I was like, ah, Iradenya, what was I doing?
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: But that's because I can tell the growth.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: So if necessity is the mother of invention, repetition is the father of skill.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: So I love that.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Please say that again.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: If necessity is the mother of invention, repetition is the father of skill.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: So anything that you want to do, repeat it.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Any master you had seen doing anything exceptional, it's just years of repetition.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: And the thing is that for most people, they get excited.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, I have this dream.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: I want to do this, I want to do that.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: They start, then motivation dies, then they lose hope.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: But you see, the real work begins when the motivation dies.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: It's like you want to do real estate.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: You're excited.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: The day they break grounds.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, you are very excited.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Ah, Lord, we have been able to break grounds.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Then you wake up the next day and then you know that okay, you need to buy this number of iron rods, and you realize that you don't need motivation to go and buy X ton amount of iron rods.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: It's it's money.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: It's wisdom to now come back and coordinate workers to build according to that skill.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: It's wisdom to now come back and say that, okay, my lead um generation is low.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: I need to do this, I need to do that, I need to do this, I need to do that.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Then again, it's a different kind of discipline to see a million dollars in your account, knowing very well that you can take this million dollars to go and buy this, but then discipline will tell you, don't do this.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: And at that point in time, it all is adding up to your becoming.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: So for lots of people, they have an idea.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: I want a thing.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: But move from wanting things to choosing the things you want.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Because if you choose the things you want, you now begin to do the necessary research.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, this is what it means for me to do this.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: This is what it means for me to do that.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Say I want to be a global superstar as a musician.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, I want it.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: A lot of people are in this world wanting the same thing.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: Talented people.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Then you come in again.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, what's the next thing?
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I need to choose it.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: Choosing it will mean that even if I have a phone, I should start recording.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Choosing it will mean that even if I have a phone, I should start writing my songs now.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Choosing it will mean that when an idea comes, I need to pay attention to it.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: So that if you stay in the game so long enough that luck finds you and you meet Richie.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: And Richie says, Oh, you're talented.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: What do you have?
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: Then you can play something.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: And then now Richie says that, you know, for you to become this superstar, we need to groom you.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: You need to understand personal branding.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: You need to be able to communicate, you need to be able to be inspired, you need to be able to bring your museums into song.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: You need to learn this, you need to learn that.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Now Richie is grooming you.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Your ability to stay committed to the things Richie is grooming you about is your commitment.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: And then now you stay in it, you practice so well that now the world begins to celebrate you.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: But the world did not see that.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: You literally moved from wanting to choosing.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: And in the in that place, some of the times you may be recording so much and nothing is working.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: You may be dropping your song so much and nobody is seeing you.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: That does not mean give up.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Because that's what I always say that you should not care about the results.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: It's the process you should.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Because it shapes you, it becomes you.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: So for somebody who is listening in on the conversation, they have read books, they are excited about what they want to do.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Start.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: I have a mentee who is um in Lagon, and she said to me, She said, MBA, thank you.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: I made X amount of money from what you said.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: Now, last year in my mentorship community, I spoke to them about.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: About the nine enemies of greatness.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: And when I finished speaking to them, she came to me and said that oh, my mother taught me how to do makeup, this that that.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: And I said to her, What are you doing with the skill?
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Because based off of what you've explained to me, your mammu near Wu Fe, so what are you doing with it?
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: It's like I'm just I said, you know what?
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Start off by matriculation.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: But the first years that come in, as many first years that come in into Lagon, decide that you want to do your makeup for them at a hundred cities or 150 cities and make sure it's good.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: It's so good that when they compare you to another person who is charging higher, they can do it.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: So now she started practicing and she came to me and said, That can you broadcast it in the community?
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: I said, sure, do a flyer, we'll share it.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: And I started posting, talking to a few people.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Then she said to me, She said, Today I got 10 people.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: That's a thousand five.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: My first thousand five.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: I said, Good.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: Action.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: So your first thousand five, save X amount of money, restock your product, go again.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: And this time around, have a few people who are your friends to do a bit of affiliate marketing for you.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: So decide that on 150 Ghana CDs, you give them 30 CD.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: They should bring you people, okay?
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: And then keep the 120.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: Then she said to me this year that by the grace of God, she's been able to save her first 40,000 CG from just doing that.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: And she's like, now she moves from whore to whore, telling people she's marketing on Snapchat, da da da da da da.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: And I said to her, Have you thought of learning how to breed?
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: So that you can add it.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: So that you can add.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: And she's like, no, I said, so take some of that money and go and learn how to breed.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: And I said, as you scale again, start looking for international certification programs on your makeup thing.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: She said, Why?
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: I said, so that you can start teaching people.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: So that now you start making money off your tutorship.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: And then I said, now open a TikTok account.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Unlike everybody who is braiding and unlike everybody who is doing makeup, start teaching makeup.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Give free value to your world.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: Serve so much value to your world.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: When people are now looking for authority figures in that space, they will soon come to you.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: And it started off by, I have a skill, but I don't know what to do.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: And I suggest that.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: Even if it is one person who comes, you have made a better step than the other person who is just sitting there in ideation.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: And that's the difference between some of the wealthiest people that I have met.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: Sometimes they set out in uncertainty.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: They don't even know the outcomes of what is happening.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: I don't even summon it.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: Almost all.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: Almost all.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: You know, they set out in uncertainty.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: They don't know what will happen.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: And they keep pushing and they keep pushing and they keep pushing.
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: And by the time you realize years of uncertainty, one day everything becomes certain because, like you said, all those years of uncertainty, you are going through a process.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: That process is shaping your becoming.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: So if you missed out on a business deal of$50,000, or you somebody scammed your$50,000, you have actually gone through the school of life and paid$50,000.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: You will not make that mistake again.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: The next time, the metrics that will guide that decision will be more.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: So how do you move it from there?
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: You want a thing, you choose a thing, commit to it.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Committing to it is taking the first step.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: And that's where now everything begins.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: But you need to understand the amount of work, the level of repetition.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: So necessity is the mother of invention, but repetition is the father of scale.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: You've reminded me of my story when I started studio and I lost my 150 CDs.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: I know right now 150 CDs doesn't sound like anything.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: But in 2003, 150 CDs meant a lot to me.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: My mom never forgets this story.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: As she's watching it, she still reminds me.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: Do you remember when this guy took your 150 CDs?
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: After that, I learned how you have to bring it before I give you the money.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: But you notice that it didn't make you give up.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: No.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: The challenge didn't make you, it didn't make you say, Mabimabu, let me stop.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: And for me, it's like this is what makes people dangerous.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: Because the most dangerous person in the world is the guy who shows up every day when success is not guaranteed, when there's a lot of uncertainty, when people are duping you.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: But you're still showing up.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: You're still showing up.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Because the challenges are the best part of the journey.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: I have never learned from success.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I've always learned from failure.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: Because success is just learning what's success, is learning how to not do the wrong things.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: So you have to do the wrong things and see, okay, no, this road was wrong.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Let me try this one.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Let me try this.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Let me try this one.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: And then you get there.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: I used to be afraid of failure.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: But these days, I I'm looking for failure.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, looking for failure.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm looking for challenges.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm consistently trying to push myself to overcome challenges.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Challenges.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: Because I even learned more and more, especially from subtle art of not giving a F.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: That's McManson.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: I learned more and more that you know, happiness comes from overcoming challenges.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: Which is why you see a poor kid in the village playing with a tie and a stick.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: And a stick.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: And they are so happy.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Very excited.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: They are excited about how they've been able to create this toy to play.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And you will see a boy in AC with a PlayStation 5 complaining that his game is lagging.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: You get me.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: So we need to welcome challenges.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: The more you're able to overcome challenges, the more you're able to grow.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: And that's why I admire your journey because you've started so young, you've pushed so hard, and I know you've met a lot of challenges.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: And you keep overcoming them.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: That ability to stand strong and stay consistent.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: I was going to ask you about motivation and discipline.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: But you've already explained it beautifully.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: That motivation is fleeting.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Very fleeting.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: Discipline is everything.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Everything.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: So what do you do?
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: What are your habits or systems you've put in place to maintain your discipline?
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: I think that the the greatest test that every man has to pass is themselves.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: There's a reason why when you go to school, the first is a thought is myself.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: You must know and understand yourself.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: You must learn to lead yourself to be able to lead other people.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: So there's something I call um life audits with MBA.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: Life audits, okay.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Life audits with MBA.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: MBA is Moses Beatha myself.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: And I do that alone.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: So you typically sometimes come and see me in my study, and I'm alone, and I'm auditing my life in the sense that I'm able to reflect on the strengths, the challenges, the weakness, because it makes you have a better understanding of yourself.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: And so, first of all, if you want to stay very disciplined, you must know and understand yourself.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: You must know and understand yourself from a spiritual standpoint, from a physical standpoint.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: People get shocked when I tell them, when they come to me for personal development, and then I tell them, know your genotype, know your blood group.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: No, they and no, and also I'm like, when you know your genotype and you know your blood group and you know all of those things, there are certain things you will do, there are certain things you will not do.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: And it will interest you the number of people that show up in relationships, go years, and then later find out that I'm AS, I'm SS.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: These are very basic things to know about yourself.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: You know your genotype, you know your blood group, you know the reason being that most people do not know that when it comes to character traits, you pick it from your father and your mother.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: You pick it from your father's mother and father.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: Then you pick it from your mother's father and mother.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: So you're looking at literally six, six different crops of people, three here, three there, coming to make certain character traits.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: So there are certain character traits you not see in yourself.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Um you see in yourself, you're not seeing your father, but you see it in your father's father, or you see it in your father's mother.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: So we need to know ourselves to be able to understand discipline.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: So that when you know yourself, then now you can create the framework of discipline that makes you to be able to achieve, makes you to be able to get going, um, keep keep going and stay afloat.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: So for me, there are quite a number of practices that um I do personally.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: I'm very much concerned about this thing called the mind.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: So I'm careful what I feed on, who I listen to, and who I watch.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Because watching is very powerful.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: The Bible says we all with open faces, beholding us in a glass, the glory of the Lord.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: We are being transformed.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: What you behold, you transform into.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: So what are you beholding?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Why are you beholding what you are beholding?
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: And how are you making it affect the fertility of your mind?
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: Why are you listening to the kind of things you're listening to and all of those things?
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: So I start off with that.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: So I prune the things I listen to, I prune the things that I watch, and I'm able to do that again because I practice what I call silent solitude and stillness.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: Most of the times the world is very chaotic.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: So in a chaotic world, there's a premium price you pay for clarity.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: And to pay that price of clarity, you need to make sure that you are spending some good amount of time with yourself in stillness, in silence, and in solitude, so that you can think on the things that you are supposed to think on.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: So I have various discipline metrics for various things that I do, but I understand foundationally that I need to pay attention to me.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: They say that when you cannot pour from an empty glass, so if you are not full, you can't give.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: Which will mean that for you to show up every day looking the very best, doing quite, you know, the kind of things that you're doing to achieving your goals and everything, you must pay attention to yourself.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Now, in one of these days, um, when I was aware, I was sitting down alone, and it just occurred to me that there's something I've been doing that's really helping my life, but I had not paid attention to it till I was alone.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Then I decided to script it.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: Now, your ability to focus on something good every day, irrespective of the number of challenges that are happening around you, is such a superior skill that a lot of people do not know.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: And I realized that because when you're a developer in this country, there are a lot of challenges that you face, not just development.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: When you when you do development, when you have to record content like myself, when you have to write books, when you have to show up here, you need to literally show up as a husband, you need to show up as a developer, you need to show up as a CEO, you're thinking of administration, you're thinking of anticipating problems and solving it, all of those things.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I realized lately, for like the last six months, I'm able to every day just wake up and find something good in a day and thank God for.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: So, like today, I could be having a lot of chaos around me, but I'll show up here and I'm like, I'm thankful to God that I had the opportunity to be on Richie's platform, to be able to bless someone's life.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: Only God knows who will listen to something from here and their life will take on a different turn.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: So people underestimate that power of finding something good amidst the chaos to be able to be thankful for, to be able, and if you do that over six months, over one year, your life will be so greatly enriched.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: And what will happen is that you would have built a certain tolerance and resilience level that most people will not know.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: So they'll go, why is it that everywhere is chaos and rich is calm?
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Because I'm calm inside, because you're calm inside.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: And so there are various discipline metrics and models that I have for various things, but at the very core, for anybody who wants to stay disciplined, understand yourself, understand what works for you.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: There are certain frequencies of music I can't listen to, it just creates a lot of noise in my head.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: So I know what kind of music I want to listen to.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: You know, there are certain places I don't want to be around.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: Not because I have an issue with it, but because when I look at where I'm headed to and my journey of becoming, I don't see how it serves and contributes to my purpose and all of that.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: So all of those things come to play.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: When you're talking, I remember this saying they said, not every day is a good day, but there is something good in every day.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: In every day.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: I'm going to start that habit because of you right now.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: Very important.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, I know you're very big on systems, right?
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: And a lot of my people who are watching are always trying to see how do we break out of poverty and into wealth?
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: What kind of systems, especially since you've read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Think Can Grow Rich?
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: I'm sure you've read Um Richest Man in Babylon and a few other books.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: So, what kind of systems do you think somebody who is starting the world journey needs to put in place?
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: Beautiful question, by the way.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: So, for lots of people who want to be wealthy, for lots of people who seek to be rich, um, there are things that I believe that you you have to pay attention to before you even think about the money.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: And the first thing has to do with the law of mental transformation, in the sense that a lot of people who want to be wealthy have not paid attention to the fertility of their minds when it comes to money.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: There is a direct relationship between your mind, the quality of the state of your mind, your destiny, and your finances, your finances.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: So, and I say that everything around you is a report card.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: It tells us the quality of the state of your mind.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: So if everything around you is a report card and you're looking at your finances and your finances are questionable, then it means that let's go back to what really engineers your perception about money and all of those things.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: So, for lots of people who want to be wealthy, the greater system you can put in place is this thing called the mind.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: If you sit with Elon, if you sit with Dangote, if you sit with Dr.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Sir Kwame Despite or Richard Niyamaki or Chris or yourself, by the time you leave, there will be something you will notice about these people.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: There's a superior way they think.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: And that affords them to see a certain kind of execution rate when it comes to their visions.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: And so for somebody who is listening in on the conversation, the very first thing you need to understand when it comes to your mind, when it comes to riches, is your mind.
- 36:30SPEAKER_01: It's very, very important.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Now, your programming leads to your thoughts, your thoughts lead to your feelings, your feelings lead to your actions, your actions become your reality.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: I call this the process of manifestation.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: So your programming leads to your thoughts, your thoughts leads to your feelings, your feelings lead to your actions, your actions become your reality.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Every reality in your life you're uncomfortable with concerning your finances, check your programming.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Check how you were programmed by means of what you heard, by means of what you saw, by means of what you experienced concerning finances.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: Now, when you're able to deal and treat with the fertility of your mind, then now you must understand what money is.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: That money is an amplifier.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: Money comes in to amplify things.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: Money is a result of certain things.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: So money is a result of vision, money is a result of strategy, money is a result of clarity, money is a result of action.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: And at whatever scale you are doing that action, it will depend on the amount of money that is coming to you.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: So I say to make a million, you must save a million, either at scale or so, for instance, if you want to make a million dollars, you either find something that sells at$1 and sell to a million people, or find something that is very expensive, premium quality, and sell to a certain crop of people to be able to buy into it.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: So the first place you need to deal with is the system of your mind.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: Because what you're able to teach yourself concerning money, it will make money different when it comes into your hand.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: So for instance, I say making money is an action, maintaining it is a behavior, multiplying it is knowledge.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: Making money is an action, maintaining it is a behavior, multiplying it is knowledge.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: There is a certain required amount of action needed for you to make money.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: So most of the time, most business people they reduce the target instead of keeping the target and increasing the action.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: So volume.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: For you to be in the top 1%, it means that you must enter a room of 100 people and come out number one.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: For you to be in the top 0.1%, it means you must enter a room of a thousand people and leave number one.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: Now, for you to be in the 0.01%, it means you must enter an arena of 10,000 people and leave number one.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: Now, all of these metrics in place require different amounts of work volume for you to hit that target.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: So for most people, when things get difficult, that is when they give up.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: But that is when they are supposed to come back, look at the thing, and increase action towards it.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: So making money is an action, then maintaining it is a behavior.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: When I make a million dollars and somebody makes a million dollars, we'll use it differently.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: Because remember, I said money is an amplifier.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: So now it begins to amplify what you are, whether you are a good steward or you are a bad steward.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: That is what money will do.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: So somebody makes a million dollars and they'll blow it.
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: Another person will make a million dollars and will think of how to multiply that 1M to 100 M.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: Different behavioral pattern.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: So somebody will make a million dollars and they will not tell that they've made a million dollars.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: They'll be comfortable doing an Uber.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: But another person will make a million dollars and they want the latest rose, right?
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: You will see it even the way they are, they'll step crack.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: You see the money in the step.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: They instantly change.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: But you see, I always say that you do not you are not valuable because of the things that come to you.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: You give value to the things that come to you, not the other way around.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: So, yes, a million dollars will make me look a certain way in terms of status and power.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: But my ability to steward that money to yield other results is what will make the difference.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: That multiplying money is knowledge.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: Because when we we wake up in our world today, somebody wakes up and they make 20 billion, 30 billion in a day.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: My co-founder and I were having a discussion.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: I said, Do you know that the amount of money Elon Musk has, if we give everybody X amount of money, from the time Jesus came till now, he'll still be rich.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: But there's a certain wisdom that comes with the way the man is doing business.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: And that is where you're able to understand that there's a way billionaires in the states play when it comes to their taxes, there's a way they pay themselves.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: So, whereas you are looking at being paid um um per your work output in terms of time, they are looking at being paid on percentages, they are looking at being paid on stock dividends.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: That amount of knowledge that you lack will also affect you.
- 41:20SPEAKER_01: So making money is an action, maintaining it is a behavior, multiplying it is knowledge.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: So, what amount of knowledge do I need to know to be able to multiply money?
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: Like in today's world, there's the creator's economy, which is paying so much.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: There are other kinds of economies, but the bottom line is your ability to sit and decide that okay, I'll not sell what will not bring me out of poverty.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: If I'll not sell what will not bring me out of poverty, then what are the required mindsets I need to build, I need to embody, I need to become to be able to achieve this thing.
- 41:51SPEAKER_01: So most people want things, but few of them are ready to do their things to become, to want those things.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: And it applies to money.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: They say you either sacrifice for what you want, or what you want becomes the sacrifice.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: The sacrifice, as simple as that.
- 42:05SPEAKER_01: You know, so the behavioral patterns, the action required, and then the knowledge you amass is what makes the difference.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: If you and I sit with Bill Gates today, we have certain business models we've never had before because of that level of you know, um, mental clarity, that level of mental precision and what he's been exposed to.
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: So for anybody who wants to be wealthy, for me, I would always say treat the fertility of your mind first.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: Else, you haven't seen people who got blessed with a million and they came back to zero.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: A lot of people.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Like nothing happened to them.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: I always say that your level of financial knowledge is equivalent to your level of wealth.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: So if your financial knowledge is 10,000 and you get a million right now, your money will drop back to the 10,000.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: It will come back to that financial knowledge.
- 42:52SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 42:53SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: It happens to especially people who get inheritance, people who win loto, or they had some one big break with business and that kind of stuff.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: They go right back to their level again and need to start.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: They didn't go through the process of becoming.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: When a rich man wants to do something, he thinks of how he can become in order to have to do.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: When a poor man wants to do something, he thinks of how he can have in order to do to become.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not the same.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: So for a rich man, he must become somebody to be able to manage a certain amount of money.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: But for a poor man, hey, I mean a hundred thousand pounds, may you see.
- 43:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but the moment that money comes, you realize that it's gone, it's off.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: Because the rich man or the wealthy man thinks value.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: And the the poor man or the middle class man thinks money, money, which is limited.
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: Very, very limited.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Because they they you never understand that money is attracted to value.
- 43:44SPEAKER_00: Money is just a byproduct.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: So you need to build the value.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: The measure of your value you give to your world determines the measure of money that comes to you.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: So I say that to be paid the best, you have to be the best.
- 43:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we see this in competitive football.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: If you look at Cristiano Rose.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: And mercy.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: They are operating at a certain God mode that makes them attract the kind of money that they attract.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: And that's a kind of value.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: So you're a young person listening in on the conversation today.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: Can you decide that you want to be so exceptionally good at what you do, such that you'll be paid the best?
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: So for lots of people who are listening in on the conversation, they want money, but they are not exceptional at what they are doing.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: They are not even trying to exceptional.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: Absolutely maximum.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't work.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Our world doesn't work that way.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: I keep telling people that you need to actually do more than you've been paid for.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: You know, if you were paid 500 CDs for a job, do work which is worth a thousand.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: A thousand.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: If you were paid a thousand, do work which is worth three.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: 3,000.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: 3,000.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: You're establishing value.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Because that way the person feels like they need to pay you more.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: Because the value they are getting out of you is more than what they paid for.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: But when you are doing either the same or less, then you're not going to grow because that's exactly what I'm getting.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: You don't ever feel like, oh, this is this is worth more.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: You you always, so you see, for lots of people, you have to stretch.
- 45:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's one thing.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: As as somebody said to me, he said, you're 29.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: I feel like you didn't enjoy your youth.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: And I said, who told you?
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: I've been enjoying my youth since.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: It's like, no.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: Ah, you don't go for tidal rave, you don't do this, not because it's bad or anything.
- 45:37SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, well, it's me.
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: And it's two things.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Comfort is an expensive prison.
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: Most people live there.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: Very true.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: I said to myself, as a young man, I was stretched to be out of my comfort zone.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: The analogy is this way: it's better to try doing something and fail than to sit there and not do anything.
- 46:00SPEAKER_01: Because at the end of the day, if we want to talk about people who would have worked here, your story will not be part of their cold and timid souls who just stayed there being afraid and not doing anything.
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: And you see, the thing is that whether you do something or you don't do anything, suffering is a fixed cost of life.
- 46:16SPEAKER_01: You will pay it.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: You suffer no matter what.
- 46:19SPEAKER_01: It's expensive to be poor, it's expensive to be rich.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: So choose which expense you want and go to be fit.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: It's expensive to be unfit.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: So you choose.
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: You choose which one you want to.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: So I think that that that kind of perspective to the conversation for young people is something that we must understand.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: And that's because life is hard.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: Me, life is hard.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: That's what for almost everybody I sit with.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: I just come to a conclusion.
- 46:45SPEAKER_01: Charlie, life is hard.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: Have that mindset that is hard and approach it as a fighter or approach it as a warrior.
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: Some Christian brothers were telling me that since they got born again, things have been this, things have been done.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: And we're just complaining.
- 47:00SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I don't know which part of the Bible you are reading though.
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: But Paul says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: So you are a wrestler.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Then I'm like, it says the weapons of your warfare.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: So you are in a certain kind of warfare.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: What did you think?
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: And if you take it out of that place from that perspective and bring it into life, you have to stretch to live in a certain place.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: You have to stretch to be a certain kind of person.
- 47:24SPEAKER_01: Like you said, it's expensive to be fit.
- 47:27SPEAKER_01: If you're also not fit, it means that it's expensive to be on the other side of the pendulum.
- 47:32SPEAKER_01: So we just have to understand it as young people and it will shape our becoming great people.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: You know, a lot of people I hear talk about when you ask them why they eat fast food or certain things, they'll tell you healthy food is very expensive, it's costly, blah, blah, blah.
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: But medicine is more expensive.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: Paying for the hospital is more expensive.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: If you get diabetes, it's more expensive than buying sugar-free juice.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: Do you guys so either way you will suffer?
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: So it's it's about choosing to suffer for something that is worth it.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 48:08SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: There's a thing that we need to realize that we will all suffer on this earth every single day.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: I think what happens is certain people think only they are suffering.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: So maybe like when you are poor, it's true.
- 48:25SPEAKER_00: You watch the rich man and think he's not suffering.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: He's not suffering.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: When you are single, you watch the married man and think he's not suffering.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: That's why they say grass is always green on there.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Everyone is suffering.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: It's just that I would rather be rich, married, healthy, suffering than to be poor, single, unhealthy, suffering.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: True.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: True.
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: Very, very true.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: You just have to choose.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: And those are the kind of things that help you instill discipline.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 48:58SPEAKER_00: Um, I I started when I started thinking about how to make money long term without even working hard, which is letting my money work for you, work for me.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: And I started simple things like trying to save every day and reinvest that money, save every week, reinvest that money.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: What I do is that every time I need to do that, I see it as I am buying something for myself in the future.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: Do you get me?
- 49:27SPEAKER_00: I am forfeiting this drink that I really want.
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: You need gratification.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: Yes, this new phone that I want right now.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: Hey, they just released a new tablet.
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: I want it right now.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: I'm sacrificing this to buy an even newer one.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, in the future.
- 49:44SPEAKER_00: True.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: So either way, I'll suffer.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: I'll either suffer now or later.
- 49:52SPEAKER_00: So I'll prefer to suffer now and enjoy later.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 49:57SPEAKER_01: Suffering is a fixed cost of it.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: Once you start thinking like that, it's the same with the gym.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: You know, it's very tiring to go to the gym, very stressful to wake up early in the morning and work out and go for a morning walk and everything.
- 50:10SPEAKER_00: But you either suffer now to do that, or there will come a time you'll be in a wheelchair, or you'll be in a stretcher.
- 50:19SPEAKER_00: Or you'll be working with a walking stick or something.
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: You know, no matter what, at a point in time, you will suffer.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: You make the hard choices for an easy life for the easy choices, absolutely hard life.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 50:33SPEAKER_01: Spot on.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: We have to help everybody build wealth.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: You know, I I I say that most people don't understand that anybody can build well.
- 50:45SPEAKER_00: Anybody, you don't even need the biggest business idea, you don't need to understand the biggest investment.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: No, it is just discipline over time.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: That is as simple as that.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: Like if you are watching me right now, any person out there can just invest a small amount of money every single day over 20 years, and you will become wealthy.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: I'll do an episode where I break this down financially for people to watch it.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: But most people think the only way to get there is to invent Facebook or create Chat GPT or something like that.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: No, not at all.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: People underestimate the power of small, daily, seemingly insignificant actions.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: But when you do that over a period of time, now when it shows up a certain way, people don't know you've been building over the years.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:43SPEAKER_01: So Rome was not built in a day.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: But every day, a break was late.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: So, like you said, if you if you were saving hundred CDs every day, by the end of the week, you would have 700 Ghana C's.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: And you can actually do the end that by the end of the month, you'd have 2,800 Ghana C's to your credit that you can use for whatever thing that you use for.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: But I think that speaking to that, a lot of young people do not understand the place of two things for me hiding and flourishing and delayed gratification.
- 52:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: Because you you I remember listening to um Richard Niamakwe and he said something that he could afford the things he's had now over 10 years.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: Over 10 years ago.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: And for me, that was a wake-up call.
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wait, did you guys hear what the man said?
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: He could afford the things you people are drooling about 10 years ago, but he didn't.
- 52:41SPEAKER_01: The reason being that if you eat tomorrow's food today, you'll be hungry tomorrow.
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: Excellent.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: So you don't want to eat tomorrow's food today, else tomorrow you'll go hungry.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: If you wear tomorrow's clothes today, tomorrow you'll be naked.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: And these are principles that the rich understand so well.
- 53:01SPEAKER_01: So they don't just wake up and buy cars, they don't just wake up and buy houses.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: They understand that they have a certain end goal in mind.
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: So they want to take it one step at a time.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: But then because of the influx of social media and perception engineering, a lot of people think that what they see on the gram is what it really is.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: And so they must live a life to you know to please people.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: Something funny happened.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: We, at some point in our in my journey um in building our projects, my co-founder and I we sold our cars.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: And I'm not the type who would go to people and say, Give me your car.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: I have people that if I call today, they would say, Come for my car, do this.
- 53:44SPEAKER_01: And then one time I entered an Uber to ANC more, and then somebody um saw me.
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: The person didn't really say anything.
- 53:52SPEAKER_01: I didn't even know the person, but I made a post on um my Instagram story and I said, Ask me anything.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: And then the person came in there and said, I saw MBA coming out from an Uber going to do this, a whole MBA.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: Why would you come out from an Uber?
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: And what's wrong with that?
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: And you know the funny thing?
- 54:13SPEAKER_01: I laughed so hard because I'm like, no matter how rich you are, you go to certain places abroad and you sit in a train.
- 54:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you'd pick an Uber.
- 54:23SPEAKER_00: You see Rihanna in a train, you see Jay-Z in a train, you see billionaires in a train.
- 54:27SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, again, it's that thing of living to please people.
- 54:32SPEAKER_01: And I remember I responded to the person and I said, if I feel like eating wachi, since I'm getting Nima, and I have to hop on a bike to get there, I'll do it.
- 54:41SPEAKER_01: I don't live life to please you.
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: So delayed gratification.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: Then there's a thing again about us as young people, as we seek to grow and evolve.
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: Sometimes just learn to hide and flourish.
- 54:51SPEAKER_01: What people don't know, they can't ruin.
- 54:53SPEAKER_01: So be intentional and hide and just flourish.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: And just keep building, just keep building, just keep building.
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: And some of the times, these are the things that people when I listen to Richard Niyamakwe's interview before his 40th birthday, that's one thing struck with me.
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: I'm like, he's been hiding, he's been flourishing.
- 55:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's been practicing a lot of delayed gratification.
- 55:12SPEAKER_01: So if a man shows up and he buys a Bugatti and then he buys this, that it means that you can also, in your 20s, delay gratification, hide, flourish, build, build, build, build.
- 55:26SPEAKER_01: And that's what you are building.
- 55:28SPEAKER_01: The thing about building is when you are building, it's uncomfortable.
- 55:30SPEAKER_01: When you are building, it's difficult.
- 55:32SPEAKER_01: When you are building, people don't see it.
- 55:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 55:35SPEAKER_01: But over time, what you are building becomes worth it.
- 55:39SPEAKER_01: So you look at down 20 years, down memory lane, and you're like, you're thankful for the journey thus far because you've been able to be consistent, you've been able to build and all of that.
- 55:48SPEAKER_01: So I think that for us as young people, in wanting to become in wanting to build wealth, we need to understand some of these dynamics.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Because the wealthy play it very, very well.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: And that's why they are where they are.
- 55:59SPEAKER_00: You know, like I really took that lesson very personal from Rich Dad Porter when he properly explained the difference between assets and liabilities.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 56:08SPEAKER_00: And explained to you that what the wealthy do is when they make money, they invest the money in assets.
- 56:15SPEAKER_00: And then the assets generate enough money to fund the liability.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 56:18SPEAKER_00: So, like Richard Niamakwe's story, for instance, he had enough money to buy all these things 10 years ago.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: But had he bought them, they will become liabilities and eventually it will just fizzle out.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: But he decided to reinvest that money to make enough money and have enough assets that can now buy it again.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: So when you know you are a young boy and you started working and you get some big moves and you have enough money to buy a car, don't buy that car yet.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: Put that money into assets, do some investments, buy some stocks, do treasury bills, start a small side hustle and let that money make you new money.
- 56:58SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: Because what you have to understand is when you buy an asset and the asset makes you enough money to fund your lifestyle, the asset still remains.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: And it's still growing.
- 57:09SPEAKER_01: It's still vomiting money, it's still betting the money for you.
- 57:12SPEAKER_00: But when you take the money and put it in a liability, then it goes downhill.
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:17SPEAKER_00: You know, I like I remember the day that I parked my car at an event.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: And when I came out, somebody had stolen my windshield.
- 57:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I said my windshield, my wiper.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: You know, and you see that Ben's wiper?
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: That one wiper.
- 57:36SPEAKER_00: So it's very difficult to remove.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: So in removing, they cracked the windshield.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: And by the next morning, the crack had expanded and expanded more.
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: So on the second day, I needed to change my windshield and buy that new wiper.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: This is like two or three years ago.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: So in one day I went to an event, the next day I had to spend 3k.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why do I even own a car?
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: That's the thing about liabilities.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: Liabilities are going to consistently drain from you.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: They'll drain from you.
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: So if you don't have assets that fund that fund that lifestyle, the liabilities you buy are going to make you end up poor.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: That's why we've all seen that uncle in the neighborhood who has a lot of money.
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: Then by the time he's 40, 50, and go yeah, now his children have to buy him food, food, and all of those things.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: And you're wondering what happened to the money.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: What happened to the money?
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 58:33SPEAKER_00: He didn't have the knowledge to grow the money.
- 58:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, very, very important.
- 58:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, very, very important.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: And we have to start building those habits now because it's like the story of the talents.
- 58:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: What you do with five CDs shows what you will do with 500,000 CDs, shows what you do with 50 million.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: So when you have five CDs and you finish it all, trust like anybody who's sitting out there thinking when I make more money, my life will be better.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: It is not true.
- 59:04SPEAKER_01: So speaking to this the parable of the talent, I'm excited you brought that in.
- 59:10SPEAKER_01: Do you realize that when the master gave, so he gave one five, he gave one two, he gave one one.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: Do you realize that he didn't tell them what to do with it?
- 59:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: That's just like life.
- 59:20SPEAKER_01: So God will not come down from heaven to tell you how to live your life.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: He's giving you the earth and everything in it for you to figure it out by means of this thing called your mind to be able to do life.
- 59:33SPEAKER_01: Now, the guy with the five knew he had to go and trade to get ten.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: The guy with the two knew he had to go and trade to get four.
- 59:45SPEAKER_01: The guy with the one complained and went to bury it.
- 59:50SPEAKER_01: But I said to myself, I'm looking at that thing and I said, wait, all the guy with the one had to do was to work five times harder.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: That's all to get to five.
- 59:59SPEAKER_01: And if he worked ten times harder, he would have gotten to what the five guy did.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_01: And if he worked 15 times harder, he would have actually stopped all of them.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, there are lots of people doing this thing called life who have talents.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_01: And they are rather complaining, they are rather saying, um, I don't have this, I don't have that, I don't have this.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_01: Whilst with just that one that they have, they can literally put it to work and 10 exits, five exits to hit whatever level they want to get to.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: So for lots of people, God is this.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_01: God has done that.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: God at the basic core of everything, he's giving all of us a mind.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: And he's giving all of us a will.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: You know, let me say something that are going to make people angry at me.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: For those who are just about to insult me in the comments, you can feel free.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: I allow it.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: Insult me small, life there's normal.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: God is not coming to save anybody.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: And no one is coming to save you too.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: God is not saving anybody.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: Do you know why?
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: Because he already saved us.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_00: And how he saved us was after creating everything, then creating humanity.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_00: Like, think about it.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_00: If we as humans with our limited knowledge and our limited ability can manage to be efficient, don't you think God is more efficient than we are?
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_00: So why would you create humanity and then have to swoop in every day to come and save them?
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: Instead, he gave us the mind and said, everything you need is here.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: Use this and make something of yourself.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_00: Yet instead, what you are doing is waiting every day.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, God will come and save me.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_00: God will come and make things better.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: God will help me make money.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_00: He will save my business.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_00: God will find me a partner.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: God is not going to do any of that.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_01: You have to do it yourself.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_01: You have to do it yourself.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: With what he gave you.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_01: And that's the talent.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: With what he some of the most incompetent people I've met are believers.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: And because I'm a believer, I always advocate for some of these things.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_01: Pick up a skill.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_01: Be good at what you are doing.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_01: Be intentional with your growth.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_01: God will help you, but you have a part to play.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_01: God will help you.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: You have an action.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_01: He has already helped you.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_01: There are actions, you know, there are actions you need to make.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_00: But I even think it's insulting to think that we need more than us.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_00: It's insulting to God after He has made this perfect creation.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_00: For us to assume that you need more than this creation to be great.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: The rather graceful thing and grateful thing to do is to say, thank you.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you for making me this awesome.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: Thank you for this amazing mind.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_00: Thank you for the earth that you gave me, the air I can breathe.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_00: The water.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_00: And because of that, I am going to show appreciation by using it to make something.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_01: To make something, yeah.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_01: And and believers don't know that when whenever you do this, you actually bring glory to God.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_01: Whenever you tap into the I I said something one time, and then people had an issue with me, but I'm like, it's the truth.
- 1:03:12SPEAKER_01: If God probably left Facebook, Instagram, to a believer to create, they'll probably still be fasting and still be praying.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_01: And you see, the thing is that God has a dream for every dispensation.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_01: And in his dream, for his dream for every dispensation, he would need men in that dream.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_01: Now, he will need available vessels.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_01: So if he scouts through the church and there's no available person to bring about that dream to reality, he would go and look for somebody who is an unbeliever, quote and unquote, to be able to bring that dream into reality.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_01: So if we left the Facebook, there's never been a time where God's message has reached me.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_01: Literally, pastors literally on Sundays are preaching the word of God.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_01: You go on YouTube and they have 600,000 people watching.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_01: And they don't have an auditorium that can take that 600,000 people, but they have a platform.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_01: And whenever God gives you a gift, you need a platform for expression.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_01: So you look at the things that are happening in the world, and you're like, at the end of the day, and for me, this is why I have an issue when you say every day God must be in the business of doing miracles for you.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_01: It defies a lot of things in the scriptures because it says the hand that does not work must not eat.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_01: He says that wisdom built, by wisdom, a house is built.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_01: Which means wisdom is the architect that built, which means you must seek wisdom, which means again, anything that you want to be a master at, you must sit the requisite, you must seek the requisite knowledge, seek the requisite wisdom that helps you maneuver that thing.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_01: So I always say that there's a business of doing music.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_01: If you don't know it, you don't know it.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_01: Until you sit with somebody who teaches you the business of music, you might waste years of your life going about in circles and nothing happens.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_01: There's a business of real estate.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_01: Until you meet somebody who sits you down and teaches you, and that is the wisdom.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_01: So wisdom built.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_01: So by the time you circle me around as a believer and you come and say all of these things, you are actually not even fulfilling the very truth of scripture.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: God creates Adam.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_01: And God, when he created Adam, he created Adam for Adam to work.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_01: And that's why I have an issue if you're a believer and you don't bring that kind of excellence into your work.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_01: Because Adam was working.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_01: He was working when God was rather coming to him in his place of work, not in a church.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_01: He was working, he was still in the ground.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_01: So there's there's a place for you to work.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_01: And we mortgage the success of our lives to only pray and fasting.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_01: And we forget that actually the success of our lives, prayer and fasting is there, it's good.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_01: But there are things that you need to do, there are things that you need to pay attention to to be able to hit a certain kind.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_01: Of God level in whatever thing that you do, you know.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_01: I over the weekend, I think I saw um the Arsenal football star um Izzy score a hat trick, um hat trick, and um in the hat trick he posts match he's saying he was praying to God and then saying that he wanted to score a hat trick, and he's one footballer who doesn't hide his faith.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_01: So even when he made a post on Instagram, he just his caption was Jesus.
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_01: He doesn't hide his faith.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_01: But I said to myself, he doesn't hide his faith, but he doesn't skip training.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_01: He doesn't hide his faith, but he works hard.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_00: Because trust me, there's another footballer who has the same faith, who is praying to God every day but isn't working out, isn't working out, isn't putting in the work.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's where it so God now begins to glorify himself in our lives when we are now doing the necessary things.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_01: And I say this, and sometimes the believers come for me, but I'm like, let's be real.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_01: It's difficult to think than to pray.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_01: And do I pray for my business?
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_01: But when I'm done praying for my business, I think on the marketing, I think on the percentage.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_00: A lot of people have allowed their excuses of God and the devil to make them lazy.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_00: Because every good thing in my life will be done by God.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_00: So I don't even need to try.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: And every bad thing that happens was done by the devil, so it's not my fault.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_01: Let me give you a very interesting insight.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_01: Proverbs 22, verse 2 says that the rich and the poor meet.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_01: The Lord is the maker of them all.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_01: The rich and the poor meet.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_01: The Lord is the maker of them all.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_01: The first time I came across that scripture, I was like, wait, the rich and the poor meet.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_01: Where?
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_01: Now, the platform that brings the rich and the poor together is the earth.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_01: So the rich and the poor meet where?
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_01: On the earth.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_01: Then the Bible says something that's very profound.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_01: It says, the Lord is the maker of them all.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_01: Now, if you don't have a very good understanding and framework of scripture, you would actually think that God made some people rich and he made some people poor.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_01: But from Genesis to Revelation, there is no specific scripture that says that God made some people rich and some people poor.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_01: So what happened?
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_01: The rich and the poor meetware, the earth.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_01: God made men men.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_01: Men by their own decisions, men by the way they are living their lives, decided to separate themselves into different realms of living economically speaking.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_01: So God made all of us men.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_01: We at the end of the day decide by means of what we want out of life to categorize ourselves into different realms of living, economically speaking.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_01: And by that, we have rich people, we have poor people, we have this, we have that, we have this, we have that.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_01: So foundationally, at your core, if you're listening in on the conversation, God has made you a man.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_01: Whether you are and man in scripture is male and female, he calls that man, because man is spirit.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_01: So in man, composite entity, we have male and female.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_01: So whether you are a boy or a girl, God has made you.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_01: Now the honors is on you to apply whatever thing God has made of you with to decide the nitty-gritties of your life.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_01: And I always say that the one of the world's first billionaires was John D.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_01: Rockefeller.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, most people don't know he was an astute Baptist.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_01: And John D.
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_01: Rockefeller didn't joke with his faith.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_01: Like astute Baptist, he doesn't joke with his faith.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_01: Solid guy.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_01: But he did not name his business standard Christian oil.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_01: He, as a Christian, practiced his faith, but also understood that there's a wisdom for the marketplace.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_01: When I was in the States, I I was told that the brand Chick-fil-A or so they don't work on Sundays.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_01: And I was like, why?
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_01: The owner is a Christian and believes that on Sundays people should rest and go to church.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, that's nice.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_01: But then I flipped it and I said, but wait, Monday to Saturday, the amount of work these guys put in, the level of excellence, the the distribution of their brand across various things, and it tells us that there is more that God expects of us as believers than we actually know.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_01: And we must put in the work.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_01: We must put in the work so that you putting in work plus your um wisdom plus knowledge about your industry and everything in partnership with the Holy Ghost who complete the scripture that says that a city on a hill cannot be hidden and that you are the sort of the earth.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_01: If you are the sort of the earth, then you must prove that you really are the sort of the earth.
- 1:10:30SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad to hear.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_00: You know, I always have this problem when believers are not able to attribute their success to what God has given them, and rather think the success was God given.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_00: You know, I personally think that we have everything already.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_00: Everything has been created and laid in front of us.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_00: We just need to choose to work hard for you.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_00: That boy who's about to write an exam and instead of learning for the exam is doing all night.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_00: It's like you know, God is there, He's giving you life.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_00: He woke you up this morning to go and write the exam.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_00: Now, your part is to learn.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_00: Stud and pass the exam.
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_01: Study to show yourself approved.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_00: We need to start having people take more personal responsibility for themselves.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_00: And the good thing which I have come to experience in life is everything is possible.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_00: It's not just anything is possible.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: Everything everything is possible.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_00: The things that haven't been done yet, we just haven't cracked it.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_00: Trust me, before they invented flying, flying seemed like witchcraft.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_00: If you go back a hundred years and tell someone that I can stand in Ghana and talk to somebody in Switzerland holding a rectangular object and see the person's face, that will be considered as witchcraft.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_01: They used to do calabar skyping.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_00: But the mind has been able to create all these things because everything we need has already been provided for us.
- 1:12:05SPEAKER_01: God gave us the first type of a submarine when he puts Jonah in the mouth of the whale.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_01: That's what God showed us.
- 1:12:16SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that was so Jonah was in the first submarine.
- 1:12:19SPEAKER_01: Jonah was the first person to be in a submarine.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_01: God showed us humanly that it's possible for a man to be in a facility underwater.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_01: And he showed us because they cast a lot.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_01: Jonah is the problem.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_01: They throw him into the water and he lived there three days.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_00: They should tell you.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but what did Jonah eat?
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_00: That's another person.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_01: But for me, I look at it, I'm like, he showed us that it was possible.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that man can invent an entity that can steadily move underwater and move and move and move, and it shows up and then it goes back in.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_01: He showed us that.
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_00: It was the same way they watched how birds fly to figure out flights for humans.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: I was watching, I can't remember his name, Brian something, the guy who's very fixated on immortality.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_00: And when he was talking about how humans don't need to die, one of the examples he gave, he mentioned three different species that have been able to attain immortality.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_00: And I was like, okay, that's interesting.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_00: So that means even immortality is possible in nature.
- 1:13:22SPEAKER_01: Unto him that believeth, all things are possible.
- 1:13:24SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_00: So everything has been given to us.
- 1:13:27SPEAKER_00: And then it's like everything was put there.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: And then they gave us this tool that now use this tool to find it.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_00: So we just have to work every day on growing this tool.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_00: We all need to become masterminds.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 1:13:42SPEAKER_01: Because you rise or fall to the level of to the level and degree of your thinking and the quality of your mind.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_00: MBA, do something for me, right?
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_00: I wanted to look in that camera.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_00: Imagine that the person who is watching you right now has opened up his mind.
- 1:13:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_00: For you to drop a mindset that is going to lead him towards success.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_00: What would that be?
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_01: Let me see what I've drawn.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_01: A person has opened up their mind.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_01: I think that it would be that outside of death, every defeat is psychological.
- 1:14:19SPEAKER_01: Outside of death, every defeat is psychological.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_01: So whatever thing it is that you want to do, that you are scared of, whatever thing it is that you are afraid of, just know that it's only death that brings you into outside of death.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_01: Death is the only thing that's outside of the equation.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_01: But every other thing, fear is just a figment of your imagination, and that everything you're looking for is on the other side of fear.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_01: Everything you're looking for is also looking for you, but not this version of you.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_01: So you must literally evolve to become the captain of your destiny and evolve most importantly to be a mastermind so that you'll be of a blessing to your world.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_01: Be blessed.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_00: I love that so much.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_00: You guys, you heard it, right?
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_00: You have to evolve to be a mastermind because you deserve it.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much, MB.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, we'll have another conversation soon.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_01: Alright, Richie, thank you.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for having me.
