- 2:42Okay, missus Tamla Apostle Tamela Lucas. Y'all don't want to miss this show
- 2:49right here, because this lady is a woman of God. She is funny,
- 2:53she has a mother's spirit. But then she got that don't come for
- 2:57me, because I'll come for you and have Jesus right next to me spirit
- 3:00too. Okay, So welcome again, and let's bring up Apostle Tamila Lucas,
- 3:06the T and H T eight Enterprises. Hey, how are you tonight.
- 3:15I am sovited, So you know I always start off, so you
- 3:20gotta tell us a little bit about yourself. Well, I am a mother
- 3:25of nine. And when I say nine, because oh my goodness, but
- 3:29you have to understand the story. The first three or siblings that I raise,
- 3:35the second set or the three that I birth, and the last three
- 3:38are my bonus. And everybody or adults said the last two the bonus children.
- 3:45But you know they stayed with their mom. But you know, God
- 3:47is good. I've always been around children all my life. I'm the oldest
- 3:53out of five, so when my mother passed away, I became an instant
- 3:59mom. That's how I end up my brother and sister birth. Then you
- 4:03would have thought that would have been an and of working with you. No,
- 4:08I went to education from nineteen ninety to twenty nineteen and I've been working
- 4:15with children from birth to twenty five years old. So yeah, children,
- 4:20children, So I do have another one I can send to you. I
- 4:25can keep the twenty year old. But this little eight year little girl with
- 4:28mama, who that's a whole that's a whole other prayer. Okay, So
- 4:38education, I hear so many, so many teachers now or like we threw
- 4:44with education. I wish I'd never gotten an education. But then on the
- 4:47other half, I heard him saying, I don't know what I where I
- 4:53would be if I wasn't a teacher, and in parting knowledge and everything and
- 4:58too these kids. So I just want to know why education. Well,
- 5:05I think I was just born that. My aunt always said, ever since
- 5:10I've been a little kid, I always had a paper and a pencil in
- 5:13my hand. She said, I just knew you was gonna be that because
- 5:18everywhere you went, and all my life I've always had a paper and a
- 5:21pencil in my hand. Okay, So I love the teacher. I used
- 5:27to put my brothers and sister when I was a little on the bed and
- 5:30preach and teach it then and then when I got older. You know,
- 5:34I just love to teach. I love when children don't understand something and then
- 5:40when I break it down to them and they get it and you see that,
- 5:42aha, that of the moment. Yeah, beautiful thing. So I
- 5:47always do this whenever I met a teacher. I like to guess what subject
- 5:57I want to say, math or English? English? Nope, okay,
- 6:09okay, one more trying try Okay, history. Yes, I love history.
- 6:15Goodness, I do remember I had a history teacher and his name was
- 6:20mister McDougall, and all through high school he said, just remember this,
- 6:29kill them and take their stuff. This is what that's how it was.
- 6:32That's why half of the war we killed you and he wanted your stuff.
- 6:35And you know that stuck to me and I am forty something years old and
- 6:40I still remember that to this day. So on behalf of all the parents,
- 6:46We thank you, and can we send them back to y'all for the
- 6:48summer, because they even uside of house and homes, please just a vacation
- 6:54time. So hta. That is I would say the foundation of the crew.
- 7:03You are the t tell us a little bit about that. I just
- 7:08thank god that Angela and Hessekaia allowed me to be a producer. We are
- 7:14the padcast producers. Ergo. We got together say, you know what,
- 7:20a lot of people out here they have voices, but they're quiet and maybe
- 7:25they don't know how to get their voice out there. So we need to
- 7:30get together and show them how to do that. And it's okay, let's
- 7:32do that. And so we were trying to figure out how we was gonna
- 7:38do this and Angela her, you know, God be using her like you
- 7:43know, yes, she brought up and said, what can we do and
- 7:47whoever our specialty because we all have a different specialty in doing different things,
- 7:54and said we're going to bring that together and work together. And I just
- 7:58thank God for what he has done, I'm telling you, or he has
- 8:01sent us some awesome people. You all are rocking it. I'm telling you.
- 8:07I'm I'm sitting here watching, I say, and I'm just so excited
- 8:13because we don't know what's in us until somebody pull it out. And I
- 8:20thank God that you all just came forth because sometimes we live in the world
- 8:24and we're surrounded by people who would tell us, oh, well, you
- 8:28know what you do, it's not really important, but it is because you're
- 8:33helping somebody else. Because what you know, I don't know what your experiences
- 8:37are. They're different from my experience. So when I'm listening to you and
- 8:43I said, oh what, shoot your mouth and I'm telling you, especially
- 8:48for truth, I'm telling you read breaking out these books, my mouth bell
- 8:52on the floor. Like I had to listen to you sometimes in room by
- 8:56myself. So I don't want toybody thinking, you know, I'm the bright
- 9:05books. I said, Oh Lord, loving base show, and nobody invoke
- 9:11you just go there. But but it's good though, because people need to
- 9:16understand it's okay, it's life, you know what I'm saying. But a
- 9:22lot of us don't want to talk about a lot of issues, and you
- 9:24bring them, you bring it to the table and I shake that and you
- 9:30guys, I remember being on the screen and being terrified, Like even last
- 9:37week's show, it was funny. She's like pre pre treatment and I'm still
- 9:43getting used to it. But I see myself coming out of my shelf,
- 9:46and I love that. I'm feeling confident. And I have all these sisters
- 9:50and these brothers, and even on those days where we really don't have training,
- 9:54we're still checking in with each other. And it's like I have a
- 9:58whole new mom, brothers, sisters, auntie, cousins. I have all
- 10:03of that, and I feel like each, like you said, each one
- 10:09of us have our own little niche in the crew. And it's kind of
- 10:13funny because I was a type that I would read these books and I would
- 10:18literally put the book down, like y'all can't see discover Now I'm like,
- 10:22yeah, you see that. See that right there, that's a copa.
- 10:24So I want to thank you guys for pushing it out of me and keep
- 10:30pushing me and kicking me when I need a good kick. But just want
- 10:33you guys, y'all need to come on and join us because we got some
- 10:35spots left. We're gonna talk about that later, but we're gonna tell you
- 10:39how y'all gonna be a part of the crew. So now, since we're
- 10:45talking about books, I have a question. And I really can't believe I've
- 10:50never asked you this before, but I'm gonna ask you. Are you a
- 10:54reader or author or both? Author? So tell us about these books?
- 11:03You know, I'm ready. When I was okay, when I was in
- 11:11the first grade. It started in the first grade. I had to repeat
- 11:15first grade because I did not know how to read. And my teacher she
- 11:22had all the students take turns to read. And I remember this day.
- 11:24I stood up and I didn't know who was on the page, but I
- 11:28pick up that book and acted like I was reading. I was looking at
- 11:31me like what in the world. So she called my mom. She said,
- 11:35look, I'm gonna have to put her back in the first grade.
- 11:39Yo, baby don't know how to read. And my mom said, what
- 11:41your mean she don't know how to read? Because you know, a lot
- 11:43of parents, they don't sit down with their children to see if the child
- 11:48knows how to read. They just assumed my child was going to school and
- 11:52because they're sitting in the classroom, they know how to read and know you
- 11:56have to sit with your child and make sure they know this is a this
- 12:01is me, this is that. And if you don't do that, then
- 12:07you're going to keep assuming your child knows something and your child don't. So
- 12:11my mom was shocked. So I had to repeat first grade. And so
- 12:16my mother asked me, she said, what do you like? I said,
- 12:20I love adventure. I like mysteries. I like that stuff. And
- 12:22so my mom bought me a children's Bible. She said, let me tell
- 12:26you about this. She said, every movie that you see they stole it
- 12:31from the Bible because the Bible was scandalous. That's what my mom told me
- 12:35as a child. She said the Bible was scandalous. She said everything's in
- 12:39the Bible. She said, people cheating, murdering, all that stuff.
- 12:41She said, mystery, she said, all that's in the Bible. And
- 12:46she gave me a children's Bible and that's what encouraged me to read. And
- 12:50then when I started reading all that stuff, I was like, oh this
- 12:54is right. Oh that is cold. That is cold. So yeah,
- 13:00oh my god, I would have never thought about it like that. And
- 13:03speaking to children's Bible and parents, Okay, I'm a step on my library
- 13:09soapbox. Just because school is out does not mean your kids need to stop
- 13:18reading. This is a time to build a bond with your child. Me
- 13:24and a Naa Elizabeth Grimble every night are reading. And we just got on
- 13:31chapter three of a new children's Bible. I discut it. So thank you
- 13:35for the confirmation. All right, So parents, I'm gonna step away from
- 13:41the crew for a second. Like I said, I put on a library,
- 13:43my little library hat. Check with your local library for summer reading programs
- 13:48to get your kids to not be in that academic slide that happens every year
- 13:58the kids go to school day out for three two to three months. It's
- 14:03just like they're losing a whole quarter. So take that time. Go to
- 14:07library activities, go to go to museums, read a book and read the
- 14:13book with the child, or listen tell our child to read out loud,
- 14:16but people could tell what the sensance doesn't make any sense, but just to
- 14:20put the book in front of the child. They're just looking at words,
- 14:22letters, They're not getting a comprehension, they're not getting the detail work telling
- 14:28you from experience. Please, Okay, now back to the crew. Um,
- 14:31So, I never mean that was crazy to think to introduce a book
- 14:41the Bible through a book talk and it's scandalous. They do have issues.
- 14:46There's a lot that was so creative. Yeah, wow, okay, okay,
- 14:52So we're gonna take a break and we're gonna come back and you're gonna
- 14:58talk about the Sunday morning services as you be to and not be catching.
- 15:01So we're gonna take a break. You guys, we gotta pay the commercials.

- 15:39as I teed Basic Black after Dark, All new podcast show with your host
- 15:48Black Diamond The Brown. Our message alone welcome back, Welcome back, welcome
- 16:33back. So before we left off, I left you guys a little nugget
- 16:38that apostle knows. That said Apostle Tamla Lucas is on Facebook every Sunday,
- 16:45so she's gonna give us a little bit of information about that. I do
- 16:49get the catch them sometimes um and then I do try to go back and
- 16:55check the replay. But tell us a little bit about your ministry. Where
- 17:02is your heart? Well, it's called come home. Stop talking about it,
- 17:07and the goal is to just come back. You know we we don't
- 17:14everybody have a past. You know, some churches, you know, they
- 17:18kick people to the curb because what they have done. But the Bible said
- 17:22we all al l we all have sin and come short of His glory.
- 17:30So I can't point a finger at you and laugh at you because you might
- 17:34find something in my past to be like, oh you did you did what
- 17:37you know and you know some of us get to a point where I didn't
- 17:44do that. You know. Well, one thing about God, keep on
- 17:48messing with him and he'll sense somebody from your past to humble you. That's
- 17:56why he tells us to be humble and and and don't act like you so
- 18:03you made it or I just made it all my goodness, you know,
- 18:06don't talk to me because you know I'm way up here and you down.
- 18:08Honey, please, honey, please. And that's why. Now, that's
- 18:11why you see different videos of pastors fall off the stage and stuff like that.
- 18:17Everything is happening for a reason to humble us, to let us know,
- 18:22you know, we still need God, regardless who we are, what
- 18:26our title is, we still need God and we need to be humble.
- 18:30So what come home? Stop talking about it? Is? Their goal is
- 18:33to bring people back in hallelujah, and so they can love on God because
- 18:38God didn't hurt you. The people at in the church hurt you, but
- 18:42God didn't. And so my ministry is to encourage people, you know,
- 18:48to read the Bible, have a relationship with God and get closer to him
- 18:52and then encourage other people. And let's talk about everything. And people be
- 18:57shocked, like you talk about that, yeah, because growing up we were
- 19:03taught, you know, this is what you do. We had a whole
- 19:06list of all the don't she can't do this she can't do that. Don't,
- 19:08don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. And so I asked
- 19:11my mom, I said, well, what can we do? You know,
- 19:15we gotta we gotta list of what we can't do, but what we
- 19:18do. So my goal is to show people how to live outside of four
- 19:26walls, because because that's when you really live. How do I handle the
- 19:32person who is customed me out? How do I handle the person that's in
- 19:36my face like this? Because I had people getting my faith like that?
- 19:41How do I handle it? Because the word of God said, we do
- 19:42not fight against what flesh and blood, but the darkness of the principalities,
- 19:48what so on? Somebody in your faith and you you don't. I used
- 19:52to be a fighter, so it had to take everything. You know what
- 19:56I'm saying. I have to remember the word of God and say you,
- 20:00oh, well, I can't put my hands on this person. The bows
- 20:03on my nose and breath, you know, I can't put my hands on
- 20:07them because I have to remember God fights my battles. See that's why I
- 20:11love you. It's so real. I would have never thought you were a
- 20:15fighter. Oh my god, I would have Wow. See I learned something
- 20:19new about somebody from the crew. And that's why you guys are turning in,
- 20:25tuning in to learn new things about the crew. I would have never
- 20:30thought that. Wow, So you come, you come on every Sunday.
- 20:36Can you give us about a time and if if we were when we attend
- 20:44your service, what should we look forward to you should be looking for how
- 20:51I apply the word to our everyday life, because that's my goal to let
- 20:56people know. This is why you need the word. The word. The
- 20:59body wasn't just there just be there. The Bible is there to lead and
- 21:03guide us and show us how to live. So every Sunday at nine am
- 21:07Eastern time, nine am Eastern time, I get on there and I just
- 21:11try to stand there between thirty forty to an hour. I try my best
- 21:17to not go over an hour, but sometimes it gets good. And so
- 21:19what I do I cut off and I say I'm coming right back. So
- 21:23that's why I do. I say I'm coming right back. But I know
- 21:27people's attention span is very short. But when I read that word, whatever's
- 21:33going on rather something going on in the world, in the news, in
- 21:40my life and your life. I try to connect it so that it won't
- 21:45be like Mary had a little lamb. Okay, I already heard that.
- 21:48I heard that my whole life. How can that word apply to me today?
- 21:52How can I live today? Yeah, you're telling me this, but
- 21:57you're not teaching me thing. Because when I go home and I got to
- 22:02deal with this person, deal with that person, I got to go to
- 22:04work and I got to do it. And what you know, show me
- 22:08how to live. So that's that's how apply the word. Yes, now,
- 22:15a little birdie telling me you'll be singing m A little birdie told me
- 22:22that you're you're writing songs. I have a whole I have a list of
- 22:27twenty gospel songs that's already copyrighted. I am waiting for somebody to help put
- 22:34a track to my music. I only got one song out and the man
- 22:38charged me an arm in the leg for that one song. And I said,
- 22:42well, shoot, I said, Lord, you're gonna have to send
- 22:45somebody. So anybody out there that's listening, um and you just like to
- 22:48do music and put mute. I need some help. And for No.
- 22:53Three four or five hundred six hundred dollars per song, I can't. I
- 22:56have twenty songs. Okay, let's let's build this together. Let's work together.
- 23:00Come on, help me, help me there. You got so you
- 23:03heard it here, so you know, contact her. She's on Facebook.
- 23:08What else do you want. I'm on Instagram, I'm on TikTok, I'm
- 23:12on all different kind of podcasts that's connected to anchor, So I'm everywhere.
- 23:21If you type my name, you'll see me. I'll pop up everywhere.
- 23:23So music students, you got a teacher, you got somebody invest timing to
- 23:30you. You invest timing to them. I hear some partnerships. So come
- 23:33on, get in contact with her because I'm onna get her autograph. Okay,
- 23:41I don't get her autograph, So we're coming short to the end of
- 23:48our show. What message would you give to this world today? June thirteenth,
- 23:57twenty twenty three. What would you say to us? Be you don't
- 24:03try to be anybody else and quick comparing yourself to somebody else. That's why
- 24:07God may us different. He made us different for a reason because we all
- 24:12have a specialty. You might be a cook. I don't like the cook,
- 24:18but I will eat, So go ahead and cook so I can eat.
- 24:22And you know, we all have something to bring to the table and
- 24:27quick comparing yourself. Oh I can't, I can't dress like that person.
- 24:33Well, guess what, maybe you and that person and be best friends and
- 24:36didn't. You'll show you how to dress, but just learn how to be
- 24:40you. And guess what. People are gonna love you because they see oh
- 24:44some so love love them. That's right you. When you love yourself,
- 24:48then people are gonna love you because you love yourself, and they're gonna treat
- 24:52you right. But and people know who to mess with, they know who
- 24:56to talk to. And just be you and be the best of you.
- 25:00If where you bake cookies, you know, you know how we like our
- 25:03chop till cookies best for me, I love chop till cookie. And you
- 25:07know if you best with chips, be the best of chips. If you
- 25:10know how to sew close wherever your specialty is, be that and be the
- 25:15best of it. And don't worry about what you know. Comparing yourself because
- 25:22we all need each other. The Bible said, we all different members of
- 25:25one body, y culture, color, whatever, we still want body.
- 25:30And when you pull our skin off, you have muscle, bone and blood.
- 25:34There you got there, you go, well on, behalf of the
- 25:40crew. We thank you for investing your time, your talent, your energy,
- 25:48your love and just taking us into into the world of podcasting and and
- 25:57holding our hands. My little birdies, we're flying. We get nine wings,
- 26:04we are nine wings. But it wasn't for you, Hezekayet and Angela.
- 26:11I knew I wouldn't be doing this. I'm gonna be totally honest,
- 26:14I wouldn't be doing this. And even when I sit down here and I'm
- 26:19using the different avenues that we're using just to even come up with a flyer,
- 26:25I can hear you guys telling me, all right, trees, you
- 26:27can do this like me. I'm breathing tonight, and I thank you guys
- 26:36so again. I can't stop saying thank you, thank you, welcome,
- 26:42and thank you for being you. Oh I'm not thank you for telling me
- 26:48that I truly believe that nobody says thank you, nobody, nobody embraces each
- 27:00other no more. And how we used to walk down the street. You
- 27:04saw the older gentleman. Now, hey, good evening, like nobody does
- 27:07it. Like this world is so cold. I love my little girl.
- 27:11She kisses me. Oh my god, little girl kisses me so much sometimes
- 27:15like if you kiss speaking me and you're about to have it out. But
- 27:18you know what, I won't say that to her. I would take that
- 27:21kiss, and I will take that hug, and I would give it back
- 27:22to her. And then I realized that how you guys say we have to
- 27:26be the change. Yep, so I am being the change that you guys
