- 0:10Speaker 1: Wait, true insurance. I'm true. I'm a checkups.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm your host,
- 0:36Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown joining me as co host this week.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Connor mcpadden's here. How's it going?
- 0:41Speaker 3: Man, newly promoted Conspiracy The Show head of sales, Connor mcspadden.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah. If we were doing video for this, people would
- 0:48Speaker 2: see that Connor has been promoted to head of sales.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I still have no title, which that doesn't feel right whatsoever.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Because how can we sum of that at him? What
- 0:57Speaker 3: you do in a word? It couldn't be done.
- 0:59Speaker 2: That's true. That is a fantastic point. Hey. We also
- 1:02Speaker 2: have a couple of guests this week. I think this
- 1:05Speaker 2: is the first time in years we've had four people
- 1:08Speaker 2: on this podcast. But here we are. Case in point.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Returning guests Dante Wimberley. How's it going? Hello, everyone, to
- 1:16Speaker 2: be glad to have you also joining us. Color Mind,
- 1:20Speaker 2: how's it going. I don't think you've been on Conspiracy yet, right.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I've been on Conspiracy. I think I was on something.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I think I was on like a mailbag episode with
- 1:28Speaker 4: like Joan Lewis.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Oh, that's right, Yeah, an episode of You Don't even
- 1:31Speaker 2: like this show, that podcast doesn't exist anymore. Color mind
- 1:35Speaker 2: killed it.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm not just joking, Okay, I'm a hard follow. I'm sorry.
- 1:40Speaker 2: So we are talking about Obama this week and Trump's
- 1:47Speaker 2: threats to arrest Obama for treason, which in a lot
- 1:52Speaker 2: of cases I'd be like, sure, we could probably arrest
- 1:54Speaker 2: Obama for something, but I don't want Trump to do it,
- 1:57Speaker 2: not for this bullshit. What's everyone else's take? Big overall
- 2:01Speaker 2: take chould Obama go to prison for this?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Even the cleanest president is dirty. I mean, well, we're
- 2:06Speaker 3: all grown ups. We know this. Yeah, I'm surprised he's
- 2:09Speaker 3: not calling him out for treason more. I mean, this
- 2:12Speaker 3: seems like he hates Obama. That's like the reason he
- 2:14Speaker 3: got in the game is he was so sunned by
- 2:17Speaker 3: his remarks that he like enacted this like decades long
- 2:22Speaker 3: death campaign of revenge that we're all like suffering.
- 2:25Speaker 4: It is pretty will to realize that, like we have
- 2:27Speaker 4: video footage of the moment Donald Trump became a villain
- 2:30Speaker 4: or became like our particular timeline's main villain. Yeah, being
- 2:33Speaker 4: that correspondence dinner very.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Much, so you can see the moment in his head.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And he was like, oh, I'm taking ray all the rights. Oh,
- 2:40Speaker 1: they're gonna rue this day.
- 2:42Speaker 3: We're going He's like, I'm calling the White Devil for
- 2:44Speaker 3: this one. We're going with you. We're going with the
- 2:46Speaker 3: old tactics. We're bringing in Yakoub. COO.
- 2:50Speaker 1: That's hilarious.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yakub being evil is the only thing that can.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We need to do a Yakub episode sometime.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Definitely, to have a little bill on for that one.
- 3:01Speaker 1: For sure.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I find it's hard to get a unified field theory
- 3:04Speaker 3: of Yakub. Every different teacher and profit of Yakub has
- 3:07Speaker 3: kind of got their own stink on it, So I
- 3:09Speaker 3: don't really know who's teaching from like the fucking you know,
- 3:13Speaker 3: the King James Bible of it.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Oh so this is kind of some confusing bullshit. I'll
- 3:21Speaker 2: go through how these claims work real quick. Prior to
- 3:25Speaker 2: Trump's first term, the intelligence community was of the opinion
- 3:30Speaker 2: that Russia favored Trump in the twenty sixteen election and
- 3:34Speaker 2: sought to manipulate the process to ensure he won, and
- 3:38Speaker 2: an unclassified version of that intelligence community assessment was released
- 3:42Speaker 2: in January twenty seventeen, and it pointed to three motivations
- 3:48Speaker 2: for Putin and Russia interfering in the election process. One
- 3:53Speaker 2: undermined public faith and democracy. Two damage Hillary Clinton's reputation.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Three Russia wanted Trump to win. And somehow it's that
- 4:01Speaker 2: third point that this all centers around.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Two bad Honestly, Yeah, I guess so.
- 4:07Speaker 2: In early December twenty sixteen, after Trump won, but before
- 4:11Speaker 2: he took office, the Obama administration directed intelligence agencies to
- 4:16Speaker 2: produce a comprehensive report on Russia's election interference. And the
- 4:22Speaker 2: argument here seems to be that they rushed to produce
- 4:26Speaker 2: this assessment and in the process cut a bunch of
- 4:29Speaker 2: corners in the process that led to information being in
- 4:32Speaker 2: the assessment that might not have been if regular procedures
- 4:36Speaker 2: were followed. That does not sound like treason shit to me, to.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Be very It sounds like bureaucracy. Sounds like what the
- 4:43Speaker 4: government regularly does. But what's an example that he has?
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I would have tried to finish it before Trump
- 4:49Speaker 3: took office. What the fuck do you think he's going
- 4:51Speaker 3: to do with it? Use it for toilet paper?
- 4:53Speaker 4: I'm curious as to what kind of information was in
- 4:56Speaker 4: the report that otherwise would not have been if proper
- 5:00Speaker 4: procedure was followed.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It seems like they're referring to the Steel Dossier, which
- 5:06Speaker 2: was a collection of information put together by this spy
- 5:11Speaker 2: or investigative journalist some shit named Michael Steel. And that's
- 5:15Speaker 2: where the claim that there's a tape out there of
- 5:18Speaker 2: Trump getting pissed on by sex workers.
- 5:21Speaker 3: That thing.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Okay, you know it's true that.
- 5:26Speaker 4: You know it's true that kids, it tracks, Yo, we
- 5:29Speaker 4: gotta get our hands on that tape. It has to exist,
- 5:32Speaker 4: because that's like, that's like Epsteinmo, like, get you doing
- 5:35Speaker 4: some like crazy shit. Everything that I was thinking, even
- 5:38Speaker 4: though I believe at the time, correct me if I'm wrong,
- 5:39Speaker 4: But at the time it was like I might have
- 5:41Speaker 4: just this back when I let myself be abused by Twitter,
- 5:44Speaker 4: like what we reconnecting it to like Pudin had that
- 5:47Speaker 4: tape on Trump or something, or like Putin got Trump
- 5:50Speaker 4: to do a golden shower, and then back then our
- 5:53Speaker 4: hypothesis was like this must be the leparty has.
- 5:56Speaker 3: This was like was not even exaggerating. This was the
- 5:58Speaker 3: top story in Richmon Matto every night for like six months.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I used to watch the show, and you know, I
- 6:04Speaker 3: gotta you gotta admit your own failure, failures as a
- 6:06Speaker 3: human being. But I watched the show when Trump one,
- 6:09Speaker 3: I wanted to be all informed or whatever, and it
- 6:11Speaker 3: was just like every fucking night it was on this
- 6:13Speaker 3: P tape. And I don't know, I've always been fairly
- 6:16Speaker 3: P tape agnostic. But if God is good and the
- 6:18Speaker 3: P tape is real and we get to see it,
- 6:20Speaker 3: doesn't it kind of make almost all of it worth
- 6:22Speaker 3: It isn't the whole thing a little bit worth it
- 6:24Speaker 3: if we get to see this tape.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I don't know about worth it. I'll say it makes sense.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I'll say it would it would make more sense by
- 6:31Speaker 4: the end of this. So to me, it's just funny.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Lots of people get peed on people. I feel like, yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 4: it's a proclivity. It's a sick proclivity, and the fact
- 6:40Speaker 4: that you're the president, and like if people were to
- 6:42Speaker 4: know that, they would look at you different. I personally
- 6:44Speaker 4: don't think it's that big of a deal.
- 6:46Speaker 3: I think his like, you're a nosterile. It's not like
- 6:49Speaker 3: you're getting shit on. That's that's dangerous.
- 6:52Speaker 4: People love fucking squirting, And there's always the debate like
- 6:55Speaker 4: it's kind of obviously maybe not the same thing, but
- 6:58Speaker 4: it's very similar in terms of like juice is flowing,
- 7:01Speaker 4: but a way.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Like I think four guys is who we need to
- 7:04Speaker 3: get to the bottom of it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: No, but here, but here, here's the thing, let's call
- 7:09Speaker 4: a space face. If Obama got.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Caught, well, don't don't be calling him that. That's not nice.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It got caught with a with a p tape. Listen,
- 7:17Speaker 4: there's a way he can finesse out of that. You
- 7:19Speaker 4: know why, because like he's a he's not a progressive,
- 7:22Speaker 4: but he's like back in the day, we we we
- 7:23Speaker 4: thought liberals and aggressives were closer than they were, and
- 7:26Speaker 4: he could have easily flip that into being like you know, listen,
- 7:29Speaker 4: king positive. I don't think we should. I don't think
- 7:32Speaker 4: we should, you know, just just go with the whole
- 7:33Speaker 4: identity thing. The reason why it's not going to work
- 7:35Speaker 4: with Trump, right is because should that tape come out
- 7:38Speaker 4: because I'm on Dante, Sorry, listen, I don't I don't
- 7:41Speaker 4: think shame. I mean, do what you want, like with
- 7:43Speaker 4: consent between two adults. But if I found out, but
- 7:47Speaker 4: if we found out, Trump getting peed on. Meanwhile, he
- 7:50Speaker 4: holds his higher ground about like uh, listen ping like yourself.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Is not the Bible that that that.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I won't say a not one chapter I read the
- 7:58Speaker 4: lint to the audio book. Now one thing said you
- 7:59Speaker 4: see to get peed on. So that's why it'll seem
- 8:02Speaker 4: more not.
- 8:03Speaker 3: All the priests in the land that edited the Bible
- 8:05Speaker 3: even came up with that. Then, like in the years
- 8:07Speaker 3: after the fact, when they were putting this shit together,
- 8:09Speaker 3: there was there's nothing in Leviticus. There's no letter from
- 8:12Speaker 3: anyone being like and also, don't fucking on it. They
- 8:15Speaker 3: didn't even get to that. It was so perverted.
- 8:17Speaker 2: More like Levita piss.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I think if the p tape came out, it wouldn't
- 8:22Speaker 4: matter because he number one, he would just deny it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: He would say it's not real. He would say it's
- 8:27Speaker 1: fake news.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Somebody that was in his government, like they was buddy
- 8:31Speaker 4: Buddy together said that he was in the Epstein files.
- 8:34Speaker 4: It's like common knowledge that he was in the Epstein files.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Like every day some shit comes out about how recently
- 8:41Speaker 4: they was like I don't have a sexual age limit,
- 8:43Speaker 4: Like oh yeah, he said that. He said I don't
- 8:46Speaker 4: have a sexual age limit.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Jeffrey Epstein said on audio that he was they were
- 8:49Speaker 3: best friends for like a decade.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah, the fucking the fucking letter, the fucking letter he
- 8:53Speaker 4: sent to Epstein, like for anybody actually paying attention, like
- 8:58Speaker 4: like for anybody.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Who's being it says, like everybody's.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Come up to you and say, hey, look, there's this
- 9:05Speaker 4: guy who's been like like humping a bunch of fire hydrants.
- 9:09Speaker 4: He's been doing it for years. Everybody kind of knows
- 9:12Speaker 4: he humps fire hydrants. But like that, but it's like
- 9:17Speaker 4: if I if I told you on the street, be
- 9:19Speaker 4: like okay, cool, Like, yeah, this guy's is a serial
- 9:22Speaker 4: fire fire hydrant humper, And like there's this other important guy,
- 9:26Speaker 4: the mayor of your town. He's friends would brow and
- 9:28Speaker 4: they wrote and your mayor wrote the fire hydrant humper
- 9:33Speaker 4: sure a letter on his birthday and said, hey man,
- 9:36Speaker 4: we had a lot of good times together. Got a
- 9:38Speaker 4: lot of secrets you know about that fire hydrant that
- 9:40Speaker 4: you know only only men like us know. I don't
- 9:42Speaker 4: need no content to be like Okay, So clearly the
- 9:45Speaker 4: mayor is also humping fire hydrants. And that's why I
- 9:47Speaker 4: want to spend back on what Dunta even said about
- 9:49Speaker 4: like them being long time friends and like how everybody
- 9:51Speaker 4: knows trumpets in the Epstein files.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I don't. I'm starting to even get a.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Little uh jaded by that phrasing because I still think
- 9:58Speaker 4: it's not aggressive enough. Like because when we say Trump
- 10:01Speaker 4: is in the Epstein files, let's keep it a bean, right,
- 10:03Speaker 4: we don't mean that he's like I like some other
- 10:06Speaker 4: random government representative that might have just went to a mixer,
- 10:10Speaker 4: maybe they pulled over to the island. Whatever, I'm not
- 10:13Speaker 4: gonna have for them. But like when we say Trump
- 10:15Speaker 4: isn't in the files, we're like, he's gonna have quotes.
- 10:18Speaker 4: He's talking about stuff. Jeffrey not even to blackmail, because
- 10:22Speaker 4: that was literally his man's his friends probably has a
- 10:24Speaker 4: whole bunch of stories like boys room stories about what's
- 10:28Speaker 4: going on with Trump, meaning that Trump was engaged in
- 10:31Speaker 4: illicit acts and that's why he doesn't want it to
- 10:34Speaker 4: be exposed, And even by us talking about it, like
- 10:37Speaker 4: we're all sort of tacitly agreeing that, like there's a
- 10:40Speaker 4: more than likely chance that the president of our United
- 10:42Speaker 4: States probably has has Well, we know he's a felon,
- 10:45Speaker 4: he's a thirty thirty four time felon, but it's probably
- 10:48Speaker 4: done something that now like white people be mad that
- 10:50Speaker 4: he's been felonious about allegedly he's in it's implicated that
- 10:54Speaker 4: he's engaged in child sexual abuse, and we don't. I
- 10:57Speaker 4: feel like we just do not say that enough. And
- 10:59Speaker 4: that's SAI while the store is gonna like go quiet
- 11:01Speaker 4: if you don't push it.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And meanwhile, who Habitneen is emailing Hillary Clinton? We need
- 11:06Speaker 3: a map of all the fire hydrants in New York City. Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 3: it is, it is. It is like uh uh when
- 11:13Speaker 3: you put it in those and we start to think
- 11:15Speaker 3: of this like list the episode there's the in what
- 11:18Speaker 3: universe does this guy have a just a Google doc
- 11:21Speaker 3: that said people I'm blackmailing? Like there's no fucking list
- 11:25Speaker 3: like that that exists in a cartoon Evil plan Bro.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Play GTA one time and think they understand.
- 11:30Speaker 4: But to that end, like what would make a Trumper say,
- 11:33Speaker 4: you know what, like I can't do this anymore because
- 11:36Speaker 4: it feels like they're doug They're dug in to the
- 11:38Speaker 4: point where like.
- 11:40Speaker 3: We would start to hear the world a word of
- 11:41Speaker 3: FEBA file a lot more. They would just be like, well,
- 11:43Speaker 3: it's to a sixteen year old, he's in a fire,
- 11:45Speaker 3: who's not in a feb They.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Oh, no, this isn't I thought we loved that in
- 11:49Speaker 1: twenty fourteen. I'm so sorry.
- 11:52Speaker 3: No, Roy Cohne, they tried. That's the first time they
- 11:54Speaker 3: tried it, but he didn't have the juice, the charisma
- 11:57Speaker 3: to pull it off. Like like Donny t.
- 12:00Speaker 2: We think Trump would be hurt by this if it
- 12:03Speaker 2: came out that he was in the Epstein files in
- 12:06Speaker 2: some sort of really profound way. Or I kind of
- 12:10Speaker 2: think what's happening with Obama now is sort of a
- 12:13Speaker 2: setup for us finding out what's in the Epstein files
- 12:18Speaker 2: about Trump, because he's just gonna say it's also fake
- 12:21Speaker 2: intelligence put together by the Obama administration and just further
- 12:26Speaker 2: proof that he committed treason.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Yeah, he's trying. He's trying to create a lot of pretexts.
- 12:30Speaker 4: In my head, actually, I was thinking about the fact
- 12:32Speaker 4: that he's doing all this AI, like he's he's getting
- 12:34Speaker 4: on this AI badenwagon really hard, really fast, as like
- 12:38Speaker 4: this is just me on my sie op shit being
- 12:40Speaker 4: like the more the more he's able to develop AI
- 12:42Speaker 4: or like put it in front of America anything any
- 12:45Speaker 4: other he also knows any other information that comes back out.
- 12:47Speaker 1: He can now just say like that's Ai. Yeah, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: AI is going to be like on top of everybody's
- 12:51Speaker 1: mind and just make them question for the second that
- 12:54Speaker 1: is not there.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I think in addition to AI, this is like you know,
- 12:57Speaker 3: you know when a magician starts doing stuff and he's like, hey,
- 13:00Speaker 3: for no reason, here's a couple of hot chicks just
- 13:01Speaker 3: on stage with the kitty's out and the butt cheeks
- 13:04Speaker 3: hanging loose.
- 13:05Speaker 4: It begs the question that if you have a true
- 13:07Speaker 4: social account, what can sway you from saying like I've
- 13:10Speaker 4: had enough? Like I mean, I'm sure there are a
- 13:12Speaker 4: lot of Trump supporters who would considered themselves reasonable and
- 13:15Speaker 4: rational and would presented with enough information, they would have
- 13:18Speaker 4: to have a confrontation with themselves. But like, how many
- 13:21Speaker 4: Trump supporters is that?
- 13:22Speaker 2: Really?
- 13:23Speaker 3: I think? If I think, if he gets pissed on
- 13:25Speaker 3: by a fifteen year old girl, he loses like like
- 13:28Speaker 3: maybe like a third of his base, like his poor
- 13:31Speaker 3: people rich.
- 13:32Speaker 4: So you said, sixteen year old girl. I don't even
- 13:35Speaker 4: know if that's the wind condition, but it.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Would have to be really bad if it was. If
- 13:40Speaker 3: it was consenting adults, like they don't give a fuck,
- 13:42Speaker 3: They would they would find a way to spin it
- 13:44Speaker 3: and be like, it's actually based that he fucking got
- 13:46Speaker 3: pissed on in Russia.
- 13:47Speaker 2: If he's getting pissed on by adults. I actually I
- 13:49Speaker 2: wouldn't care at all.
- 13:51Speaker 3: That's the first cool thing I've ever learned about him.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I like, you know, I'm sure the Pride flag
- 13:56Speaker 4: would help him with open arms.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Another guy there's a yellow stripe on it.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Dude on TikTok who does basically like Trump voiceovers, but
- 14:06Speaker 4: he's doing it as a gay man, like with the
- 14:08Speaker 4: mannerisms of a gay man, and it's like it's crazy.
- 14:11Speaker 3: He's super queeny.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. For sure.
- 14:14Speaker 3: All of his old tweets are like Lizaman Ellie's totally
- 14:17Speaker 3: washed now, always some gay shit he's like talking about.
- 14:24Speaker 4: If he wasn't president, bro, like he would be like
- 14:28Speaker 4: remember when he was a celebrity, Like people liked it
- 14:31Speaker 4: when he was a celebrity, remember, I mean, to be fair,
- 14:33Speaker 4: I don't want to remember that because that's exactly how
- 14:35Speaker 4: he got here in the first place. Like kind of,
- 14:38Speaker 4: but it's like it wasn't always like this, Like if
- 14:41Speaker 4: he wasn't the president, like it would be like whatever,
- 14:44Speaker 4: but the fact that he's in charge of like the
- 14:47Speaker 4: biggest military in the world.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Were like a team number of like one hundred thousands
- 14:52Speaker 1: of bureaucrats, like and like a domestic military force, like
- 14:57Speaker 1: it wouldn't be so dire.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I'll even be the guy that goes systemic even instead
- 15:02Speaker 4: of individual. I'm more disappointed than like, I can't believe
- 15:06Speaker 4: that this two hundred year old ass business called America
- 15:09Speaker 4: could let itself become a monarchy. I'll say basically in
- 15:12Speaker 4: four years, right, Like we have three branches, we have
- 15:17Speaker 4: four hundred fucking people that are supposed to represent really
- 15:20Speaker 4: not supposed to. They don't represent shit, but they're supposed
- 15:22Speaker 4: to at the stop gaps from like one person accumulating
- 15:25Speaker 4: whole bunch of power, because like that was the whole thing.
- 15:27Speaker 4: We were white people through the fucking tea in the
- 15:29Speaker 4: river for and like now you're just watching because like
- 15:32Speaker 4: the more I think about it, and I was a
- 15:34Speaker 4: nerd that like government in high school, I like ap
- 15:36Speaker 4: GUV right, like I write like you know, newsroom and
- 15:41Speaker 4: also Rachel Mattole in my house did get me.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But the whole point that it's supposed to be whole bunch
- 15:46Speaker 1: of stop gaps.
- 15:46Speaker 4: So power can't be accumulated into one person, and Trump,
- 15:50Speaker 4: to Dante's point, shouldn't be able to just be a
- 15:52Speaker 4: celebrity who now has new codes and can now control
- 15:55Speaker 4: the military, right, Like, that's weird that we're even in
- 15:58Speaker 4: this situation. But most people think it's weird because they're like,
- 16:01Speaker 4: I can't believe we let such an asshole like get
- 16:03Speaker 4: the key. I'm more like, man, I can't believe we
- 16:05Speaker 4: let one person have that much power. Yeah, okay, So
- 16:08Speaker 4: here's the thing. Power shouldn't be concentrated in anyone's hands.
- 16:11Speaker 4: There should be no military, There should be no domestic
- 16:14Speaker 4: police force that has like guns out the wazu. That's
- 16:16Speaker 4: what should happen. But like the fact that we've concentrated
- 16:20Speaker 4: power into these institutions and we've dressed it up as
- 16:24Speaker 4: like democracy, We've told ourselves this thing that like this
- 16:27Speaker 4: would never happen, and the fact that a person was
- 16:29Speaker 4: able to do it because they have no regard and
- 16:32Speaker 4: it's like, yeah, like Trump is the first I would
- 16:35Speaker 4: say like illiberal, like a true illiberal, Like even Republicans
- 16:39Speaker 4: and conservatives they were all still liberal in the sense
- 16:43Speaker 4: of they believe the rules to the game. There are
- 16:45Speaker 4: some who violated the rules. Like there's like minutia within
- 16:49Speaker 4: government and how you organize power.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Little authoritarianism like as a treat you know, like.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Just for and it's just like okay, this mass notion
- 16:57Speaker 4: of democracy where it's like sure, people, we're able to
- 17:00Speaker 4: do undemocratic things or things we wouldn't call democratic, but
- 17:03Speaker 4: the fact that like we still had this idea of
- 17:06Speaker 4: ourselves it's like democratic. And it's funny how like the
- 17:09Speaker 4: Russia thing was like they wanted to like disavow people's
- 17:12Speaker 4: faith in democracy, and I'm just like, I question what
- 17:15Speaker 4: this faith in democracy or this notion of democracy was
- 17:18Speaker 4: kind of built on, because like I don't know, it's
- 17:20Speaker 4: really just a question of like, oh, representation. Well, to
- 17:23Speaker 4: be fair, they're not talking about are like faith in
- 17:26Speaker 4: democracy like people like me and you, Dante, right, because
- 17:29Speaker 4: I like we have no I don't have a strong
- 17:32Speaker 4: basis for the faith of this democracy in general. But
- 17:35Speaker 4: like you know, if I think my teachers, you know,
- 17:38Speaker 4: like something, you know, luckily eventually that got mother two
- 17:41Speaker 4: fits back. But like the real idea is.
- 17:44Speaker 3: That wouldn't that it I didn't approve that when did
- 17:45Speaker 3: that happen.
- 17:49Speaker 4: It's like the white moderate, the white moderate is having
- 17:51Speaker 4: their confidence shooking right now, right, They're like, wow, actually,
- 17:55Speaker 4: I can't believe all these rules. I truly do believe,
- 17:58Speaker 4: like the average Democrat kind of thought, like if you
- 18:00Speaker 4: broke the rules of quorum, like somebody would shoot you,
- 18:02Speaker 4: like not like a police officer, like somehow like the
- 18:06Speaker 4: elders that be would like actually state, like that deep state,
- 18:10Speaker 4: which is like just like a bunch of fancy home monitors.
- 18:13Speaker 4: But like the fact that most of these rules were
- 18:15Speaker 4: just sort of quit pro quos or just like gentlemen's
- 18:18Speaker 4: agreement to we're trying to run a country, could you
- 18:20Speaker 4: not be an asshole? And that's really all the sort
- 18:22Speaker 4: of defense we had is shaking a lot of people
- 18:25Speaker 4: who Democrats, who really love to follow rules, right, they
- 18:27Speaker 4: really like structure, are not like, oh god, this has
- 18:29Speaker 4: been held up with toothpaste and toothpicks. There's always the
- 18:32Speaker 4: question of the ruling class. Right, for as long as
- 18:35Speaker 4: there's been business as usual, especially within the Democrats and
- 18:39Speaker 4: Republican Party, like there hasn't been much. I always say
- 18:42Speaker 4: change to the rules of the game that allows businesses
- 18:44Speaker 4: to operate without much like you know, like I don't know, right,
- 18:49Speaker 4: the ruling classes able to use institutions right, whereas like
- 18:53Speaker 4: I feel like the new ruling classes kind of going
- 18:55Speaker 4: back to the gilded age.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Whereas before we.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Had like some siblance of like you know, FDR, the weekend,
- 19:03Speaker 4: like you know, workers rights, all these things that people
- 19:06Speaker 4: have fought for. We had some symbolists of that, and
- 19:08Speaker 4: the ruling class was still able to like maintain some
- 19:11Speaker 4: level of profit. But now we're seeing like the richest
- 19:13Speaker 4: people coming together in a conglomerate and like implementing some
- 19:17Speaker 4: of the worst extreme like no semblance of justice, no
- 19:20Speaker 4: siblance of democracy, no, none of that. Pure pure autocracy,
- 19:25Speaker 4: pure guilded age capitalism and political corruption. So I feel
- 19:29Speaker 4: like that's kind of the difference we're seeing where it's like, yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 4: it was never it was never democratic, but on some level,
- 19:35Speaker 4: the ruling class had a level of stability that they
- 19:38Speaker 4: were willing to allow. So it'll be interesting to see,
- 19:40Speaker 4: like especially with the militarization like this new guilded age
- 19:44Speaker 4: and the response to that guilded age, and how protests
- 19:47Speaker 4: are going to be like crushed by like this mass
- 19:49Speaker 4: police state that we're seeing building, especially being tested in DC.
- 19:53Speaker 1: So yeah, it's definitely interesting. I'm sorry, blah blah blah
- 19:56Speaker 1: blah blah, y'all go.
- 19:56Speaker 3: No, no, no, you were spending Yeah no, I mean you
- 20:00Speaker 3: guys are well talking about the white Moderate, which was
- 20:02Speaker 3: Martin Martin Luther King's favorite group. But it is like, uh,
- 20:08Speaker 3: it is like the entire all of human history, the
- 20:10Speaker 3: urban burgers, the like landed gentry like were uh you know,
- 20:15Speaker 3: like had had had swayed like you said, and now
- 20:18Speaker 3: all this whole like facade of government and safety and
- 20:22Speaker 3: the fucking the people are at the gates almost. It's
- 20:25Speaker 3: almost like if you don't have enough money, you're just
- 20:27Speaker 3: not in the club anymore. Like if you don't own
- 20:30Speaker 3: a house and whatever, pay your taxes, like you get
- 20:33Speaker 3: the fuck out. We're We've got a FEMA camp for
- 20:36Speaker 3: you in Florida, buddy.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So yeah, the Steele dossier is kind of what this
- 20:41Speaker 2: all centers around. And even that is such a fucking
- 20:45Speaker 2: technicality because John Brennan, who was CIA director at the time,
- 20:50Speaker 2: said none of the information from the Steele dossier was
- 20:53Speaker 2: actually used to compile this Intelligence Community assessment, but they
- 20:58Speaker 2: did include the Steele dossier in this report they put out,
- 21:03Speaker 2: and there's one sentence that says, for additional reporting on
- 21:08Speaker 2: Russian plans and intentions, please see annex A Additional reporting
- 21:13Speaker 2: from an FBI source on Russian influence efforts. That's the
- 21:17Speaker 2: Steele dossier that they're directing people to. And that sentence
- 21:21Speaker 2: is what this whole fucking thing is about. They feel
- 21:24Speaker 2: like that sentence proves that they did use the Steele
- 21:28Speaker 2: dossier to put together this Intelligence community assessment, and that
- 21:33Speaker 2: because they did that, Obama somehow committed treason.
- 21:37Speaker 3: They put it in a whole separate annex that that
- 21:39Speaker 3: seems pretty like I don't know, Oh, I'm not like
- 21:42Speaker 3: saying like they put the shit in there, but they
- 21:44Speaker 3: made it like its own thing. It's it's the Monster Manual.
- 21:47Speaker 3: It's not the Player's Handbook Sentiment Guide.
- 21:51Speaker 4: I mean, I only went the public schools, so maybe
- 21:53Speaker 4: my like critical reading skills are just not are not there.
- 21:56Speaker 4: But like that's not that's not the steel that's one,
- 22:01Speaker 4: that's not the steeld ossier, but two that's also not
- 22:04Speaker 4: even conspiracy, Like it's not even it's not even an
- 22:09Speaker 4: attempt at anything, are we And like it kind of
- 22:12Speaker 4: makes it scary because I I did have a whole
- 22:14Speaker 4: other digression that I like let go of of talking
- 22:16Speaker 4: about like the idea of like, what's that anti intellectualism
- 22:19Speaker 4: becoming like basically this administration's platform and like what they're
- 22:23Speaker 4: kind of have their legacy to be because I mean,
- 22:25Speaker 4: because this goes hand in hand with that, Right, He's
- 22:27Speaker 4: basically saying, Hey, you put a footnote that makes me
- 22:30Speaker 4: feel dumb, you goddamn academics. This must be treason, not
- 22:34Speaker 4: not you guys using your smart, elitist, ivory towery citations
- 22:38Speaker 4: to try to try to make me look bad.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Yeah, this is like, this is an MLA format.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Fuck you m A m LA You mean marx LNN.
- 22:48Speaker 2: It is a bullshit claim because the reports the Trump
- 22:52Speaker 2: administration released about this are based only on intelligence available
- 22:57Speaker 2: in the run up to the election, And Trump's big
- 23:01Speaker 2: argument here is Putin didn't want me to win. That's
- 23:04Speaker 2: not why he did that. Meanwhile, in twenty eighteen, at
- 23:08Speaker 2: a meeting with Trump a news conference Trump and Putin together,
- 23:13Speaker 2: Putin was asked he said through a translator that he
- 23:17Speaker 2: wanted Trump to win, quote because he talked about bringing
- 23:21Speaker 2: the US Russia relationship back to normal. So we're absolutely
- 23:25Speaker 2: splitting hairs here, and I just still feel like it's
- 23:29Speaker 2: going to end up in someone getting fucking arrested. They'll
- 23:32Speaker 2: at least try it.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But who gets arrested here? What the staffer?
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Are they going to arrest like well Steele bream in
- 23:41Speaker 1: for questioning? Yeah?
- 23:42Speaker 2: Because if they're like, well, we're going to arrest the
- 23:44Speaker 2: former director of the CIA, then I'm going to be like, well,
- 23:47Speaker 2: he probably did something to deserve it.
- 23:48Speaker 3: If it's anything like a writer's room or something like
- 23:51Speaker 3: if someone told me, like to which was this your
- 23:53Speaker 3: shit joke from five years ago? I'd be like, uh,
- 23:57Speaker 3: I feel like it has my fingerprints on it, but
- 24:00Speaker 3: all mine. I don't know, like kind maybe like I
- 24:02Speaker 3: couldn't tell you. Is it anything that you could even
- 24:05Speaker 3: like discern at this point in time? Like who added
- 24:07Speaker 3: the fucking NXA line? It's probably the whole thing. Everyone's like, well,
- 24:11Speaker 3: you know Larry was when to put to the NXA?
- 24:13Speaker 4: Oh wait, okay, really I think I might see the
- 24:16Speaker 4: play now. Is this just like the same playbook as
- 24:19Speaker 4: what Trump is doing? Because now with the Epstein thing,
- 24:22Speaker 4: they're going to do discovery for some reason I forgot
- 24:25Speaker 4: is like he in trying to get people to shut
- 24:28Speaker 4: about Epstein. He tried to file a suit to say
- 24:31Speaker 4: not to release the information basically or the way that
- 24:33Speaker 4: it was, but it ended up when when the prosecution
- 24:38Speaker 4: took it to court, that means like they like they're
- 24:41Speaker 4: going to try it out, which means they'll be discovery.
- 24:42Speaker 4: So we get this, we would get to see all
- 24:44Speaker 4: the different side each people have. Maybe Trump is trying
- 24:47Speaker 4: to do the same, it's posturing like he could do
- 24:50Speaker 4: the same thing in this situation, whereas like you know,
- 24:52Speaker 4: you could think the streagion allegation is bullshit. But uh, hey,
- 24:55Speaker 4: if I take it all the way up and we
- 24:57Speaker 4: got to do discovery, then we'll have to see all
- 25:00Speaker 4: unclassified information that you had on my report, which I
- 25:03Speaker 4: can then now don't care about the decision, not going
- 25:05Speaker 4: to say, hey, look at all the mean stuff the
- 25:07Speaker 4: Democrats at Obama and Hillary said about me. Can't you
- 25:10Speaker 4: clearly see that they're trying to destroy me? And then
- 25:13Speaker 4: nothing else matters to his base? Where's the fucked up thing?
- 25:16Speaker 4: Like I can't, I don't need we don't even need
- 25:18Speaker 4: to talk about like how the normal person will respond
- 25:20Speaker 4: to this, what the actual.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Political will it is to like go through with this.
- 25:25Speaker 4: I only have to care about the twenty percent of
- 25:27Speaker 4: people that are on true social and the one orange
- 25:30Speaker 4: man in the chair and how they react, because that's
- 25:33Speaker 4: the pace we're playing by.
- 25:35Speaker 3: I mean, the guys in the fire hydrants, you know
- 25:37Speaker 3: what I mean, Like through we even talking about this,
- 25:39Speaker 3: for that's what I'm saying.
- 25:41Speaker 1: There's a bunch of fire hydrants that we still do not.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Know the names of, the in the tunnels underneath New
- 25:47Speaker 3: York City.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Also, Trump appointed a special council to look into claims
- 25:53Speaker 2: of intelligence community misdeeds during the Russia investigation, and that
- 25:58Speaker 2: special council, John Durham, found nothing to criticize. In his
- 26:02Speaker 2: final report, he said, quote Durham, I barely know him. Sorry,
- 26:07Speaker 2: So we've already kind of been down this road once.
- 26:11Speaker 2: There was also a five volume twenty twenty report from
- 26:15Speaker 2: the Senate Intelligence Committee, which was Republican controlled and led
- 26:19Speaker 2: by Marco Rubio at the time, that came to its
- 26:23Speaker 2: own conclusion that Russia's motivation was at least in part
- 26:27Speaker 2: to help Trump win. So even people in his current
- 26:31Speaker 2: administration in the past have said, yeah, Russia was trying
- 26:34Speaker 2: to help Trump.
- 26:35Speaker 4: And this is what makes it such a dumb fucking
- 26:37Speaker 4: argument too, because now now I'm not even sure what
- 26:40Speaker 4: exactly is he so fucking mad about, because in a way,
- 26:43Speaker 4: it's like you're still in the chair, my guy. It's
- 26:46Speaker 4: like even if other world leaders, like you know, on
- 26:48Speaker 4: poly matter or whatever, like you know, they bet the
- 26:51Speaker 4: parlay on you winning like that, you could technically, if
- 26:54Speaker 4: you were so self content, you could be like hey,
- 26:56Speaker 4: like that's not necessarily illegal. The fact that hey, Russia
- 27:01Speaker 4: said that they that they would be they would like
- 27:03Speaker 4: it if one of the two president presidential candidates had won.
- 27:07Speaker 4: But like by acting so fucking agro about it, it's
- 27:11Speaker 4: like you seem it's like it's like a petulant rich
- 27:14Speaker 4: kid that can't just win the game. If he thinks
- 27:18Speaker 4: you let him win, he needs he needs to be like, no,
- 27:20Speaker 4: I destroyed you. You don't even know how to play
- 27:22Speaker 4: this game.
- 27:23Speaker 3: They can get him. Helped me with my school project.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I did that myself.
- 27:26Speaker 1: It was all me, Like we see the sticker on
- 27:29Speaker 1: it right there. I think Adam kind of talked about it.
- 27:32Speaker 4: This happened like this inquiry kind of went into the
- 27:35Speaker 4: same at the same time that the article came out.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That like in April.
- 27:40Speaker 4: I forget who, but people in intelligence told him that
- 27:43Speaker 4: he was in there. He was in the Epstein files,
- 27:46Speaker 4: which we discussed like what that means. So it's like
- 27:49Speaker 4: the ultimate distraction. And like what Obama represents to his
- 27:52Speaker 4: base is this like picture of like progress.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Which is just so hilarious from our saga.
- 27:58Speaker 4: We can debate the merits of that progress, but I
- 28:00Speaker 4: would say he represents the same thing to liberals, like
- 28:03Speaker 4: to regular liberals, Yeah, he represents this this symbol of
- 28:06Speaker 4: progress and how far we've come.
- 28:08Speaker 1: And I think like the fact that the Southern strategy
- 28:12Speaker 1: is like so such a big part of the Republican
- 28:16Speaker 1: even call it the affordable the Affordable Care Act, so
- 28:19Speaker 1: many Republicans are insured through the Affordable Care Act, but
- 28:22Speaker 1: they were just able to call it Obamacare and immediately
- 28:26Speaker 1: people used it. I mean, it's like it's a dog whistle.
- 28:28Speaker 1: It's a dog whistle. So it's like black you.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Call it a slur at this point because it's no
- 28:35Speaker 4: Democrats ever called it Obamacare themselves, Like, yeah, having having
- 28:39Speaker 4: cheap health care is great, Like we can argue have
- 28:42Speaker 4: the Affordable Care Act didn't didn't go far enough, but
- 28:44Speaker 4: just the amount of people that are like Republicans who
- 28:47Speaker 4: are ensure through the Affordable Care Act medically but it
- 28:50Speaker 4: was it's like, it's like the evolution of like medicare,
- 28:53Speaker 4: call it everything medicare and it being seen as like
- 28:57Speaker 4: something that you shouldn't have or something that number one
- 28:59Speaker 4: black people will overuse and number two that you that
- 29:02Speaker 4: you shouldn't want because you should be able to pull
- 29:04Speaker 4: yourself up even even if you're dirt even if you're
- 29:08Speaker 4: dirt poor, which is like pull yourself up and grab
- 29:10Speaker 4: and grab your own leg. Take it to your own doctor. Actually,
- 29:15Speaker 4: actually get you a sutrare kid, you want to make it,
- 29:20Speaker 4: give me, give me some plasma. Actually I wish I
- 29:23Speaker 4: wish that.
- 29:23Speaker 3: He had come out and been like, and you know
- 29:25Speaker 3: what we're calling it, Obama care fuckers.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 29:30Speaker 4: I think five Obama and I'm really coming to that,
- 29:33Speaker 4: uh projecting onto zero Mandani. I think a candidate, a
- 29:39Speaker 4: Democratic candidate would do that today, but like before, we
- 29:41Speaker 4: just had some quorum to be like, because that's the
- 29:45Speaker 4: most prescient memory I have from like the early Obama terms,
- 29:48Speaker 4: because I was just a kid, right, But I was
- 29:50Speaker 4: just like, man, he feels it seems like he's boiling
- 29:52Speaker 4: underneath every time he has to talk on camera like
- 29:57Speaker 4: and respond to like Republicans, because there was this whole
- 29:59Speaker 4: and I feel like we don't remember this too, because
- 30:01Speaker 4: even even me, who's you know as my my lower
- 30:03Speaker 4: third says recovering Obama addict, you know, I remember being
- 30:06Speaker 4: really defensive over the Affordable Care Act because like I'd
- 30:09Speaker 4: seen it on CNN, MSNBC every day that like he's
- 30:13Speaker 4: trying to do something and yet like you have miss
- 30:15Speaker 4: McConnell saying like he's gonna be a one term president.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but like that's what we forget, right.
- 30:19Speaker 4: They're like, now, I I'm not gonna go to bat
- 30:22Speaker 4: for him, but I do know we weren't trying to
- 30:24Speaker 4: go single pair, but he was trying to like do
- 30:26Speaker 4: an FDR style rehaul of health insurance. And they were like,
- 30:30Speaker 4: because for some reason, this country the idea of getting
- 30:32Speaker 4: anything for free. I want you to know, I'm in
- 30:35Speaker 4: the camera to people watching this. Nowhere else in the
- 30:37Speaker 4: fucking rest of the globe, just getting free shit seemed
- 30:40Speaker 4: like a fucking curse anywhere else but America. Back from
- 30:43Speaker 4: Nigeria the stingiest people in Western Africa, and they still
- 30:47Speaker 4: gonna feed you, They still gonna make sure you have
- 30:50Speaker 4: water because like it's just like they just call it
- 30:53Speaker 4: being rude, but honestly, it's just not beneficial. Why the
- 30:55Speaker 4: hell would you want hungry people around you? But like
- 30:57Speaker 4: that's that's the Southern strategy of Republican strategy. Hey, you
- 31:00Speaker 4: right now are good. You might not feel good, but
- 31:02Speaker 4: don't worry.
- 31:02Speaker 2: You're good.
- 31:03Speaker 1: You're white. Everybody else should be bad. And we only
- 31:06Speaker 1: have so much pie.
- 31:07Speaker 4: So like instead of you know, using our troking dollars
- 31:09Speaker 4: to grow the pie, you need to make sure you
- 31:11Speaker 4: keep all that pie for yourself. And therefore we don't
- 31:13Speaker 4: want new things nor free things, because your life is
- 31:16Speaker 4: perfect the way it is right now with your rent
- 31:19Speaker 4: and you're like a parent. Healthcare and shop access, Yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 4: fucking the.
- 31:23Speaker 3: First like two Obama years were just like Affordable Care
- 31:27Speaker 3: Act bickering. It was it was just them like trying
- 31:30Speaker 3: to win over Joe Lieberman by like making it worse. Uh,
- 31:34Speaker 3: it was. It was an extreme excrscinating.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Worse and worse like every every Okay, we'll take this out, Okay,
- 31:40Speaker 1: we'll take that out.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Okay, it's not single thinger anymore. Now it's a marketplace.
- 31:43Speaker 3: And it was it was you're gonna be on your
- 31:46Speaker 3: parents' health cares. So you're thirty now is twenty six?
- 31:48Speaker 3: Like everything just was slowly getting like shaved down. And
- 31:52Speaker 3: uh yeah, it was really enough to after all the
- 31:54Speaker 3: hope and change talk, you really got the bends that
- 31:58Speaker 3: for two years of just nothing fucking happening.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Yes, but yeah, may Connor's point, I just really that
- 32:03Speaker 4: you had a Color's point. If he called it obamacare,
- 32:04Speaker 4: I lookey think we'd probably be in a better place.
- 32:06Speaker 4: I think if you stood on it, like LOOKI would
- 32:08Speaker 4: have made it a mean Obamacare shirts as somebody who
- 32:14Speaker 4: lives in a predominantly black area in Atlanta, like you
- 32:17Speaker 4: see you see stickers, you see literally like not too
- 32:21Speaker 4: far from my house, you'll see the signs that says Obamacare,
- 32:23Speaker 4: Obamacare little no little to no cost health insurance. Like
- 32:27Speaker 4: they use it as like a insitient, right like for them.
- 32:30Speaker 4: That and I feel like that kind of demonstrates even
- 32:33Speaker 4: even in the split, and so like I lo keep
- 32:35Speaker 4: being encouraging my lectors friends to be easier on Obama,
- 32:38Speaker 4: because what Obama represents in the black political psyche. It's
- 32:43Speaker 4: important to be sensitive to that, like white people calling
- 32:46Speaker 4: him a war criminal with no real critique of the
- 32:49Speaker 4: US empire in general, or at least calling him a
- 32:51Speaker 4: war criminal out of context, like oh, Obama's a war criminal, right,
- 32:54Speaker 4: Like that out of context, Like you turn a lot
- 32:56Speaker 4: of people off that way, and you may say, oh,
- 32:58Speaker 4: it's not right, Oh it's not fit.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Oh blah blah blah.
- 33:01Speaker 4: You can say all that stuff, but you need to
- 33:02Speaker 4: be a little more sensitive about what Obama represents in
- 33:06Speaker 4: the black political psyche. And you can have your critique
- 33:09Speaker 4: of American imperialism, and you can have your critique of like,
- 33:12Speaker 4: you know, anybody that sits in the chairry is a
- 33:14Speaker 4: war criminal, but like, yeah, I don't know, maybe have
- 33:17Speaker 4: a little bit attacked.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I even would call it one of the better war criminals.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Bill Clinton never never, Bill Clinton never increased the public good.
- 33:24Speaker 3: He never got me health care till I was twenty six.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Well, not just that, but one of like when people
- 33:31Speaker 2: call Obama a war criminal, one of the things they
- 33:33Speaker 2: focus on is the drone strikes. Obviously, but that was
- 33:38Speaker 2: part of a bigger Obama initiative. That was essentially, well,
- 33:43Speaker 2: let's not send people to do this shit, Like, we
- 33:46Speaker 2: don't have to like send poor people to die to
- 33:49Speaker 2: do this shit. We can just commit our war crimes
- 33:52Speaker 2: at a computer from this guy.
- 33:53Speaker 3: And I agree. They have lost their personal touch. Yeah,
- 33:57Speaker 3: those war crimes, they used to have a warm kind
- 34:00Speaker 3: of like Tony Soprano's style.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Yeah, you had to get your hands dirty. You want
- 34:05Speaker 4: to imperialize, you had to get your hands dirty.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I like a physical war crime. I like something
- 34:11Speaker 2: I can hold in my head.
- 34:12Speaker 3: There's a couple guys with just bad lives.
- 34:15Speaker 1: You gotta have the work if you want war crimes.
- 34:18Speaker 4: In fact, not that the editor note in there either,
- 34:20Speaker 4: but like Adam is right, it is like it's not
- 34:22Speaker 4: like he's Trump, Like basically he didn't run his campaign
- 34:24Speaker 4: saying like I would love to the first foreign country
- 34:27Speaker 4: that gets me a chance, I love to bomb the
- 34:28Speaker 4: shit out of them, just to show that, like we
- 34:29Speaker 4: have bigger balls.
- 34:30Speaker 1: In fact, the thing that Obama got hit on the.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Most during the campaign was his lack of foreign policy
- 34:35Speaker 4: really not even not only experience, but interest, Like he
- 34:40Speaker 4: really did want to be more of a I won't
- 34:42Speaker 4: call an op but I'll say traditional Democrat and say
- 34:44Speaker 4: that he just wanted to focus on the homestead, which
- 34:47Speaker 4: ironically enough is the same thing Republicans run on now,
- 34:50Speaker 4: except you know, we're in two international conflicts.
- 34:53Speaker 1: But yeah, that like cormonating like this are.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Hard obviously, right, because when I hear Obama's wor criminal,
- 35:00Speaker 4: I gotta like see the person who says it first,
- 35:02Speaker 4: because like I may call Obama war criminal, but like
- 35:04Speaker 4: kind of like what Dante has said, Nantia Adam, I
- 35:07Speaker 4: forget now, like there's I have the nuance to say,
- 35:10Speaker 4: like why I specifically can think that, like I'm calling
- 35:12Speaker 4: Obama as his position as a president, he had done
- 35:16Speaker 4: things that I did not approve of. However, if I hear,
- 35:19Speaker 4: you know, just some random person seven to eleven say
- 35:21Speaker 4: it is like, oh he's a war criminal, he raised
- 35:24Speaker 4: my taxes. Well now I'm like, okay, may I gotta
- 35:28Speaker 4: find out find out a new a new word.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 35:30Speaker 4: I say this to say that the drone strike is
- 35:33Speaker 4: a is a compromise because I think if he had
- 35:35Speaker 4: it his way, he's like, I don't want to have
- 35:37Speaker 4: any international conflicts, right, I don't want to be involved
- 35:39Speaker 4: in it, and I'm not trying to send people to
- 35:41Speaker 4: go die there because that's definitely going to make me
- 35:42Speaker 4: look bad.
- 35:43Speaker 1: So I guess we used some AI.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Yeah, he say he stayed out of it so much
- 35:48Speaker 3: he didn't even close Guantanamo. He's like, yeah, just fucking
- 35:50Speaker 3: let it.
- 35:51Speaker 1: You have me there a better Cuba policy though, Yeah.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Oh that's right. We were cool with Cuba for ten minutes.
- 35:57Speaker 3: That was cool.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Yeah, lived by guards and everything.
- 36:00Speaker 1: So I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 36:01Speaker 2: So, in response to all this, Tulsi Gabbard, who is
- 36:05Speaker 2: Lord our current director of National Intelligence, issued the official.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Conspiracy the show Babe of the Month.
- 36:13Speaker 1: What No, yep, I heard that too.
- 36:16Speaker 4: No intelligence agencies think that she is literally like a
- 36:19Speaker 4: Russian plant, like she was playing it in the minute
- 36:22Speaker 4: and she follows like she's like some wing nut cult
- 36:26Speaker 4: follower or something. Obviously whatever, But yeah, Tulci Gabbert, Tulsi
- 36:30Speaker 4: fucking Gabbert, this country is not real, bro.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I like that she has one little swaft of gray
- 36:35Speaker 3: hair that really makes her look like a super villain. Yeah,
- 36:37Speaker 3: she looks like she comes from yeah, bro, Like like
- 36:41Speaker 3: she like she's trying to outlaw the Fantastic Four right now.
- 36:46Speaker 2: So she released this report, saying that there was overwhelming
- 36:51Speaker 2: evidence that Obama and his national security team manufactured and
- 36:56Speaker 2: politicized intelligence to launch a year's long coup. Again it's
- 37:00Speaker 2: President Trump, and she posted that what.
- 37:02Speaker 3: A political campaign is is a years long coup against
- 37:06Speaker 3: somebody who tried to change the whole administration.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Right, that's called an election, Tulsi suddy years legal coup.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Yeah, we already you.
- 37:19Speaker 4: They're not a fan of elections. So like they're they're
- 37:22Speaker 4: they're predictably bewildered by this uh oncoming threat. They're like, whoa, whoa,
- 37:27Speaker 4: we paid rent rent last month, what do you mean,
- 37:28Speaker 4: ren't do again.
- 37:29Speaker 3: We're gonna appoint Baron as the Senate pro temporary leader,
- 37:35Speaker 3: and then we're just gonna have jd Vance killed, kill himself, ritual,
- 37:38Speaker 3: Sepuku style. And then we just transferred power internally back
- 37:43Speaker 3: into the Trump regime, avoided all.
- 37:45Speaker 1: The the couch that jd Vance fucks. That will be
- 37:48Speaker 1: our new director of Transportation.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I think he's doing a good job.
- 37:52Speaker 2: And these claims by Tulsi Gabbard are also splitting hairs
- 37:58Speaker 2: and incorrect because her claims are focused on conclusions by
- 38:04Speaker 2: the intelligence community that Russia likely had not and would
- 38:08Speaker 2: not use cyber means to directly compromise voter systems or
- 38:13Speaker 2: change vote tallies, and in her telling of it, this
- 38:16Speaker 2: directly contradicts claims that Russia tried to influence the election.
- 38:21Speaker 2: The only problem is no one ever said Russia was
- 38:24Speaker 2: using cyber means to change votes. That was never the
- 38:28Speaker 2: claim anyone made in any of these intelligence assessments. They
- 38:34Speaker 2: in fact, mostly said Russia was not going to change
- 38:37Speaker 2: votes through cyber means because they could not.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Every ad during that election was a crazy, really convincing
- 38:45Speaker 3: looking website that said incredible shit about Hillary Clinton. I
- 38:48Speaker 3: was there, it was, you clicked on any of them,
- 38:50Speaker 3: it was they looked really good and it was some
- 38:53Speaker 3: weird thing, and you'd be reading it for twenty minutes
- 38:56Speaker 3: and you'd be like, wait, does she work for the
- 38:58Speaker 3: Irish Republican Army?
- 38:59Speaker 2: What? And what Connor's talking about. That's what these intelligence
- 39:05Speaker 2: assessments were referring to, was Russia using disinformation campaigns and
- 39:10Speaker 2: things like that. Right, they were never saying Russia changed votes.
- 39:15Speaker 2: So Tolki Gabbert's claims are nonsense.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Sorry to act like a student, but can I have
- 39:19Speaker 1: a Paul here just to get a clarification, right, do
- 39:21Speaker 1: we so? Is what's the limit?
- 39:24Speaker 4: Right? What can a foreign country? It sounds stupid, but
- 39:27Speaker 4: like what how much could affeordn how much con citizens
- 39:30Speaker 4: of a foreign country be involved in associating with the
- 39:34Speaker 4: with the democratic elections of another country?
- 39:37Speaker 1: Right? Because I've ever heard have you ever heard of
- 39:39Speaker 1: dead internet theory? Yeah? That like most of the Internet's
- 39:42Speaker 1: bots these.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Days, it's bots, Like yes, that's that's all it means
- 39:45Speaker 4: is blot farms. It's Russian blot farms. It's just rarely
- 39:48Speaker 4: blot farms. Like that's that's everywhere. That's Facebook, Like, that's
- 39:52Speaker 4: that's like, I forget what, but it's like mymar like
- 39:55Speaker 4: especially in places that like are just very like let's
- 39:58Speaker 4: just say are are very more communal societies where information
- 40:03Speaker 4: sprays very quickly on social media and disinformation sprays quickly
- 40:06Speaker 4: on social media, like yeah, you're able, like the genocide
- 40:10Speaker 4: and mind mar was basically stirring up through like Facebook posts,
- 40:14Speaker 4: like reposting stuff like.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Rage bait, like literally all rage bait.
- 40:19Speaker 4: You can argue that maybe not twenty sixteen, but twenty
- 40:22Speaker 4: twenty was spurred through like rage bait. You see how
- 40:25Speaker 4: rage bait. You see how rage bait affects shit right
- 40:28Speaker 4: now with that brawl in Cincinnati where the teenagers beat
- 40:32Speaker 4: up the dude in the in the in the street,
- 40:36Speaker 4: and how like once you present that a certain way
- 40:39Speaker 4: on social media, like you can actually affect things in
- 40:43Speaker 4: the physical world because people are outraged by it, and
- 40:46Speaker 4: like that outrage spurs people to like do certain things.
- 40:49Speaker 4: So it's like that, And I was the question of like, yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 4: I'm sure Russia has some bot farms, but like I
- 40:55Speaker 4: will say to the Democrats, and even the whole argument
- 40:57Speaker 4: in twenty sixteen about interfering with the election, the Democrats
- 41:01Speaker 4: arguing in court that they can pick their candidate in
- 41:03Speaker 4: a smoke field room, and it's like, yet one of
- 41:06Speaker 4: could argue that the Russians sort of popular popularized and
- 41:09Speaker 4: like spread stories about the undemocratic ways in which the
- 41:13Speaker 4: Democrats were supporting Hillary Clinton and how the Clinton Foundation
- 41:17Speaker 4: was literally giving money to the DNC. That's why Deb
- 41:20Speaker 4: Wiseman Schultz had to resign because the Clinton Foundation was
- 41:24Speaker 4: quoting the corporation or the entities responsible for picking the
- 41:30Speaker 4: candidate was getting money from the Clinton Foundation. So like
- 41:35Speaker 4: you say, oh, any any critique of the Democrat strategy
- 41:38Speaker 4: or any critique of that twenty sixteen comes back to
- 41:40Speaker 4: old Russia. So it's kind of used both ways, where
- 41:43Speaker 4: it's like, on the one hand, you can say that
- 41:45Speaker 4: the Demo that Russians really wanted to undermine Hillary Clinton,
- 41:49Speaker 4: but they only they undermine Hillary Clinton by like saying
- 41:52Speaker 4: about things that were happening within the Democratic Party, whereas
- 41:54Speaker 4: like the MSNBC just kind of didn't talk about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
- 42:00Speaker 4: which goes that goes to the OtherSide of my question,
- 42:02Speaker 4: like is what is what Russia if? Even if we
- 42:05Speaker 4: found out that like no, no, because what we did
- 42:08Speaker 4: right at the end of the day, the original report
- 42:09Speaker 4: says that it's more likely, it's very it's likely all
- 42:13Speaker 4: used likely that Russia's interference in the election did sway
- 42:17Speaker 4: the votes.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Is that illegal? Yeah?
- 42:19Speaker 4: I don't know how it could be, right, because like,
- 42:23Speaker 4: what's the point of does Trump really need to lie
- 42:25Speaker 4: about this or talk about this if like it's not illegal?
- 42:27Speaker 4: I mean, because like it kind of and that's the
- 42:29Speaker 4: reason why I think even Gabbert has to like kind
- 42:31Speaker 4: of like judge it up a little bit, because like
- 42:33Speaker 4: when you put out what's really happening, right, it would
- 42:35Speaker 4: make almost too much sense to your conservative base.
- 42:38Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, we found out that.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Turns out there were there were some bot farms that
- 42:42Speaker 4: all see to come from Russian ips, and they all
- 42:44Speaker 4: tend to say like crazy things or rage bait. Matter
- 42:47Speaker 4: of fact, you guys might have seen one some of them. Anyway,
- 42:49Speaker 4: that was weird. They stopped after the election, but you know,
- 42:52Speaker 4: turns to conservative. They didn't break any rules.
- 42:54Speaker 1: They got bot farms. We have Radio Free America.
- 42:57Speaker 2: We had Radio Free America had.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Whatever, whatever the fuck we got.
- 43:02Speaker 4: We got a lot of propaganda tools that we use
- 43:05Speaker 4: in our in our tool kit. So I feel like
- 43:08Speaker 4: it was kind of gamesmanship. Yeah, yeah, it was just
- 43:11Speaker 4: it was just a great power gamesmanship, like yeah, let's
- 43:15Speaker 4: let's we like this guy better. Let's let's do let's
- 43:18Speaker 4: see what we can do.
- 43:18Speaker 3: To like well. And it's nothing that our own intelligence
- 43:21Speaker 3: agencies whatever get their hands dirty with. We don't. We
- 43:24Speaker 3: don't do that. We don't interfere in another country's elections.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Were you crazy?
- 43:29Speaker 4: We don't even find our citizens like we're no more
- 43:31Speaker 4: to nursers for that. But no, on the real tip,
- 43:33Speaker 4: you can cut this out of this is going to
- 43:34Speaker 4: put us on a list. But I'm like, why are
- 43:36Speaker 4: Democrats not doing that? More like why can we not
- 43:38Speaker 4: why can we not find there are plenty of countries
- 43:41Speaker 4: that hate America. And like most times when when when
- 43:44Speaker 4: Middle wealth countries hate America, they hate the right wing
- 43:46Speaker 4: of the country, like all the stuff that they think
- 43:48Speaker 4: are good about America, They're like, we end up haking,
- 43:50Speaker 4: like oh yeah, like the liberal side. The left side
- 43:52Speaker 4: of the country is like who got that? Why can
- 43:55Speaker 4: we not partner up with I'm gonna just pull some
- 43:57Speaker 4: people off the hat I don't know the Philippines. I
- 44:00Speaker 4: don't know the Philippines and start having them bot form
- 44:03Speaker 4: oh fucking truth social and just start being like, hey,
- 44:05Speaker 4: look I actually have if you if you send me
- 44:08Speaker 4: twenty bitcoin right now, I'm gonna send you the video,
- 44:11Speaker 4: the Golden Shower video, like it's it's actually all check
- 44:13Speaker 4: this website. It's like it's dot sk whatever. And like
- 44:17Speaker 4: I at this point, some days it's not every day.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Other days, you know, I take my meds and like
- 44:22Speaker 4: I'm more reasonable, but like fighting fire with some fire,
- 44:24Speaker 4: could we need to bully? Bullying the only way, the
- 44:27Speaker 4: only way you beat a bully is to bully if
- 44:29Speaker 4: you got the time and space and assets for keyboard
- 44:32Speaker 4: arrior bot farms, like please by all media.
- 44:36Speaker 2: I do wonder should people on the left just try
- 44:39Speaker 2: to do to truth Social what Nazis did to Twitter? Hmmm,
- 44:44Speaker 2: Like why don't like hundreds of thousands of us get
- 44:48Speaker 2: on fucking truth social and do that shit to them.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Because blue Sky not even popping, Yeah, and we're.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Like giving up all of the social media space to
- 44:58Speaker 2: the Nazis, Like we're not gonna have anywhere to fucking
- 45:01Speaker 2: post memes.
- 45:02Speaker 4: And actually I think about this a lot, and like
- 45:04Speaker 4: it is an actually very hard problem because I think
- 45:06Speaker 4: it's only I'm only gonna ran about this for a
- 45:09Speaker 4: little bit because I just had a conversation about it.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Whereas it is a two pronged problem.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Right One, we could have the thing where like we
- 45:17Speaker 4: invade another platform and then we change their culture in
- 45:20Speaker 4: the same way our culture has been changed when they
- 45:22Speaker 4: did it. But that something that killed your mental health,
- 45:25Speaker 4: that like Dante said, you gotta be a keyboard warrior,
- 45:28Speaker 4: Like I don't want to be willfully engaging with conservatives
- 45:31Speaker 4: that like believe that I should be dead or something right.
- 45:34Speaker 4: But on the other side, in a more in a
- 45:36Speaker 4: in a less late stage world unlike what we live in,
- 45:42Speaker 4: we have a third place or two that I that
- 45:44Speaker 4: I would believe that like people that are progressive, the
- 45:47Speaker 4: hippies of the seventies and eighties would have been meeting
- 45:50Speaker 4: up and actually like in dialogue with one another in
- 45:53Speaker 4: a way that would make social media basically not matter
- 45:55Speaker 4: as much anymore. But but we're in this meta where
- 45:58Speaker 4: like basically everybody is decided that we need to have
- 46:01Speaker 4: a social media arm. We need to have a place
- 46:03Speaker 4: where where my group, where my identity can perpetually be
- 46:06Speaker 4: connected digitally. We'll figure out the IRL stuff later, that's
- 46:09Speaker 4: not important. I'm getting my Mike dopamine right now, like
- 46:12Speaker 4: through these dms, and then we and then we wonder
- 46:14Speaker 4: what happens when that when the meta of that platform changes.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Now nobody can be on Twitter. I've had friends literally
- 46:19Speaker 4: like cry to me saying, like, man, like nobody's on
- 46:21Speaker 4: Twitter anymore. I can't be on Twitter, too toxic, but
- 46:23Speaker 4: like that's where all my friends were, and like I
- 46:26Speaker 4: I had to wait for another conversation to be able
- 46:27Speaker 4: to say like okay, but like, what's good with the
- 46:30Speaker 4: what's good with the real friends?
- 46:31Speaker 1: Though?
- 46:31Speaker 4: What's good? What's good with the meetup? Like, what's good
- 46:34Speaker 4: with the library? Let's let's hit this D and D
- 46:36Speaker 4: karaoke something. Because I don't think we're solving the revolution
- 46:38Speaker 4: through social media.
- 46:39Speaker 2: We should figure out a place to do that before
- 46:41Speaker 2: it's El Salvador.
- 46:43Speaker 3: I'll see you guys at the Target cafe.
- 46:47Speaker 1: With the Starbucks.
- 46:48Speaker 3: I hear, yeah, bro, some popcorn. It's nice.
- 46:51Speaker 2: So Trump, in response to Tulci Gabbard's comments, just he's
- 46:56Speaker 2: the first one who started calling this treason. He said,
- 46:59Speaker 2: it's there. He's guilty. This was treason. They tried to
- 47:02Speaker 2: steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election. They
- 47:07Speaker 2: did things that nobody's ever imagined, even in other countries.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I bet people in other countries never expected Trump to
- 47:13Speaker 2: use the word obvius skate.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I love this guy that he
- 47:17Speaker 3: throws in a like a like a real seven dollars word.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Sometimes that was the word of the day. Yeah, him
- 47:23Speaker 4: that he heard someone say it. Yes, sorry, is a
- 47:26Speaker 4: big mac with dye cooke.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not that he's stupid. He just absorbs whatever
- 47:30Speaker 3: like is most recently like sticks to him. So yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 3: you're definitely like somebody like he heard someone see obfusekate
- 47:37Speaker 3: that week and he was like, I'm gona whoop that
- 47:39Speaker 3: one out.
- 47:39Speaker 1: No, his taxic counter definitely said ostocate in a meeting
- 47:43Speaker 1: and he was like, ooh, I like that one. Yeah,
- 47:45Speaker 1: I do a lot of that. I'm about to It's
- 47:47Speaker 1: part of my catalary.
- 47:48Speaker 2: And Dante already talked about this part. But all of
- 47:52Speaker 2: this started happening like the day after that article came
- 47:55Speaker 2: out that said, oh, by the way, in May, the
- 47:58Speaker 2: Department of Justice told Trump he's in the Epstein files.
- 48:01Speaker 2: That article came out, and then all of a sudden,
- 48:04Speaker 2: Tulsi Gabbard is like, hey, Obama was part of a
- 48:07Speaker 2: conspiracy to steal the election from Trump, and I'm going
- 48:10Speaker 2: to forward it to a grand jury, which she did.
- 48:13Speaker 2: She has ordered a grand jury hearing on this.
- 48:17Speaker 1: I mean, well, I'll discovery then, right, Like, well, they
- 48:19Speaker 1: both have to give information.
- 48:21Speaker 2: You would think. Also, Trump posted an AI video of
- 48:24Speaker 2: Obama being hauled off to jail on.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Truth social this country is in real role.
- 48:29Speaker 2: Where's he getting these videos? I mean he's got to
- 48:32Speaker 2: have bra probably making them, you think he's doing im inself.
- 48:36Speaker 3: I'm watching the video right now. It's not great. It's
- 48:39Speaker 3: like Obama keeps falling over or something like.
- 48:43Speaker 1: But what one do it himself?
- 48:45Speaker 4: Because I actually don't think, like, judging by the size
- 48:48Speaker 4: of his fingers, I don't think he has flexibility in
- 48:50Speaker 4: anything else but his thumbs.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I think he can only actually flex his thumb.
- 48:53Speaker 3: To be fair, if this needs a pop socket, and
- 48:56Speaker 3: he definitely needs a pop socket on his throne.
- 48:58Speaker 4: This is the eighteen hundred, So like Trump would be
- 49:00Speaker 4: akin to fucking Alexander Hamilton the way that he how
- 49:03Speaker 4: prolific he'd be writing, right if if we counted truths socials,
- 49:08Speaker 4: ship post everything on truth social ship posts, if you
- 49:10Speaker 4: count ship posts as essays, like that man can write.
- 49:13Speaker 3: I honestly bet if you if you made a hardcover
- 49:16Speaker 3: series of volumes of Trump's tweets from like the time
- 49:19Speaker 3: he started running for president too, I bet it would
- 49:22Speaker 3: be like a fascinating read. I bet it would be
- 49:24Speaker 3: like reading like the Diary of Benjamin Franklin or something like.
- 49:28Speaker 4: You know, you probably would need you probably would need
- 49:30Speaker 4: to create a chatbot called trump Talk to then like
- 49:33Speaker 4: translate all of the tweets for you because like they're
- 49:38Speaker 4: just like you would have to context exactly. You would
- 49:42Speaker 4: have to know every day, every hour of.
- 49:45Speaker 3: The would it would have all the research, Like Elliott
- 49:48Speaker 3: was in the news because she had just.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Got to a great Kickstarter opportunity. You have this. It's
- 49:55Speaker 1: five hundred thousand likes. We start the we start the campaign.
- 49:58Speaker 2: And one thing that's worth noting here another reminder. Trump
- 50:03Speaker 2: in twenty nineteen said Obama did not do enough to
- 50:07Speaker 2: stop Russian interference in the ors he did so, was
- 50:11Speaker 2: Russia interfering in the election or not.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Well, he didn't do enough because Trump won. If he
- 50:15Speaker 3: would have interfered more, he would have you know, Yeah.
- 50:18Speaker 2: That's a good point. He released a video, the Obama
- 50:21Speaker 2: jail video. I haven't seen it yet.
- 50:23Speaker 3: It's not very good, you know. It's like it's a
- 50:27Speaker 3: photoshop of Obama looking sad in an orange jumpsuit that
- 50:31Speaker 3: I probably could have done.
- 50:33Speaker 4: AI generation still creased me out a little bit. It's
- 50:35Speaker 4: still not all the way there. Like pictures, I'll deal with.
- 50:38Speaker 4: But like the I think I saw the video muted,
- 50:42Speaker 4: like scrolling through I think my Blue Sky timeline.
- 50:45Speaker 1: And I was like this just it looks weird.
- 50:48Speaker 4: It still looks not all the way human, which, like
- 50:51Speaker 4: I think is also a meta commentarial even why they
- 50:53Speaker 4: like using this stuff. I think they don't see they
- 50:55Speaker 4: don't connect to art ass humans like, they don't actually
- 50:57Speaker 4: emotionally connect to it. So they're like, I mean, who
- 50:59Speaker 4: cares if it like looks a little weird.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I mean, it's just pictures. Maybe everybody looks a little weird.
- 51:03Speaker 3: As long as it's racist, then right.
- 51:07Speaker 1: My point is loud and clear. Then the artist fine,
- 51:11Speaker 1: but I but.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Then you see something like I saw Vin Diesel drink
- 51:14Speaker 3: just you know, like the gas pump with the little
- 51:16Speaker 3: like metal tube that comes with the socket. He just
- 51:19Speaker 3: shoved the gas pump in his mouth and was just
- 51:22Speaker 3: drinking gas. And I thought, well, that needs to exist,
- 51:25Speaker 3: and certainly we're going to get the real Vin Diesel
- 51:28Speaker 3: to do it, So maybe this machine isn't necessary.
- 51:30Speaker 4: That's actually so sad because if you paid, if you
- 51:32Speaker 4: paid Vin Diesel like fifty dollars on can, I'm sure
- 51:34Speaker 4: he would just have done that for you for for
- 51:36Speaker 4: much less resources.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Maybe he's not in I haven't seen a new Vin
- 51:41Speaker 3: Diesel movie coming out in a while, so Obama's only
- 51:46Speaker 3: response to this so far has been through a spokesperson
- 51:49Speaker 3: named Patrick roden Bush, who said, well, out of respect,
- 51:53Speaker 3: it's what he started, because his name is Patrick roden Bush.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Out of respect for the office of the Presidency, our
- 52:00Speaker 2: office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation
- 52:05Speaker 2: flowing out of this White House with a response. But
- 52:08Speaker 2: these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre
- 52:12Speaker 2: allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction. Nothing
- 52:16Speaker 2: in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted
- 52:19Speaker 2: conclusion that Russia worked to influence the twenty sixteen presidential election,
- 52:24Speaker 2: but did not successfully manipulate any votes. End quote. So
- 52:29Speaker 2: now this is going to a grand jury.
- 52:32Speaker 3: It does make you miss when like that was one
- 52:35Speaker 3: thing about Obama as the president that was really attractive
- 52:38Speaker 3: was he just like played the parts. He said presidential
- 52:41Speaker 3: sounding things. Some fucked up happened, he said, like the
- 52:45Speaker 3: nice things. It was all. It sounded like a group
- 52:48Speaker 3: of people got together and said what should we say,
- 52:50Speaker 3: and then they crafted a statement that was like a
- 52:54Speaker 3: little verbose at least like whatever, Like it sounded nice,
- 52:58Speaker 3: and it's just now It's just it's everything is a
- 53:01Speaker 3: is a stress inducing event. It's just it's a tweet
- 53:04Speaker 3: that he's like, well, food snamps are canceled more tomorrow,
- 53:08Speaker 3: and you're okay, yeah, you're.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Like, hey, cancer, cancer prevention is important. Anyway, we're going
- 53:12Speaker 4: to cut two billion from that. I think the sadder
- 53:15Speaker 4: thing about what Connor just said is that I agree
- 53:18Speaker 4: with you that, like I miss when the president like
- 53:21Speaker 4: acted with a sort of sort of presidential energy that
- 53:24Speaker 4: I was like familiar with and like felt like he
- 53:27Speaker 4: was he was okay to be in charge. But I
- 53:30Speaker 4: think the last two elections were people saying they didn't
- 53:33Speaker 4: like that, Like for like what you just said about like, oh,
- 53:36Speaker 4: it looks like a whole bunch people got in a
- 53:37Speaker 4: room and like you know, put their heads together and
- 53:39Speaker 4: put out a good quality statement.
- 53:41Speaker 1: People call it the deep state. Like that that's what
- 53:44Speaker 1: happened in the last eight years.
- 53:46Speaker 4: You're like the idea of the president being helped by
- 53:48Speaker 4: people now feels like manipulation, as if like the president, well.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I missed the presidence of a writer's room.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Yeah, Like we we now prefer we want we want
- 53:59Speaker 4: the to look exactly like like what we think the
- 54:02Speaker 4: president does based.
- 54:03Speaker 3: On funny right almost it's like structure, We're like fucking
- 54:07Speaker 3: governess Daddy.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Well.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I kind of worry that that's gonna be. The big
- 54:12Speaker 2: conclusion to this is Trump is just going to be
- 54:15Speaker 2: so outlandish and so cartoonishly fascist that at the end
- 54:19Speaker 2: of it, we're just going to go back to how
- 54:21Speaker 2: things were in like twenty fifteen.
- 54:23Speaker 3: The president Pete boodages like.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and it'll feel like some kind of revolution when
- 54:28Speaker 2: it's not.
- 54:29Speaker 1: It's just if this and I'll do you one worse
- 54:32Speaker 1: man if this ends up with Gavin Newsome being a
- 54:34Speaker 1: man like, we're cooked, like we would have learned nothing.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Not we're not. We're cooked, actually have like I don't
- 54:40Speaker 1: know how long we anyway.
- 54:41Speaker 4: I have a whole other, separate sort of theory on
- 54:44Speaker 4: what's gonna happen to the parties after the election. But uh,
- 54:47Speaker 4: if if DEM's do fumble, I think like somebody like DSA,
- 54:52Speaker 4: maybe some other thing under a new name, some like
- 54:54Speaker 4: an actual progressive party that might not be as progressive
- 54:58Speaker 4: it I would like, but would be able to cater
- 54:59Speaker 4: to that eighteen to thirty six demographic of like a
- 55:03Speaker 4: Democrat now who can't own a house is just not
- 55:05Speaker 4: going to be a Democrat winner forty because like Democrats
- 55:07Speaker 4: just don't offer them any reason to like stay. So
- 55:10Speaker 4: I do think eventually there's gonna have to be another
- 55:13Speaker 4: party that at least the youth will put their their
- 55:17Speaker 4: power behind, and then math takes over because the last
- 55:20Speaker 4: two generations, last three generations, from millennials to Jenalfa have
- 55:24Speaker 4: been bigger and bigger. So once they become rigister voters,
- 55:28Speaker 4: if we already wrote this for ourselves, I think that's
- 55:30Speaker 4: when we start to see the crumbline.
- 55:32Speaker 3: Well, you know a Canada wins every election, did not
- 55:35Speaker 3: vote my mom man.
- 55:38Speaker 2: So one question I have about all this is does
- 55:41Speaker 2: Trump remember that in twenty twenty four, the Supreme Court
- 55:45Speaker 2: decided presidents have pretty broad immunity for anything they do
- 55:50Speaker 2: as an official act.
- 55:52Speaker 1: He made sure of it.
- 55:53Speaker 2: This motherfucker is setting himself up like if he breaks
- 55:56Speaker 2: that precedent and is like, no, presidents actually don't have
- 56:00Speaker 2: that immunity, So we're gonna arrest Obama and send him
- 56:03Speaker 2: to prison. Oh what does he think's gonna happen when
- 56:07Speaker 2: Gavin Newsom is president? Gavin Newsom's gonna fucking send him
- 56:10Speaker 2: to prison. And I don't know how they're not making
- 56:14Speaker 2: that connection, or maybe someone is and that's what they want.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Maybe someone in Trump's administration is like, we got to
- 56:21Speaker 2: undo this immunity thing so we can send this motherfucker
- 56:23Speaker 2: to prison where he belongs. Wait, Trump or Obama Trump,
- 56:27Speaker 2: it's hard to see.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Him, well, actually it's not hard to see him cell phoning.
- 56:31Speaker 3: I don't know, just giving up any kind of power
- 56:34Speaker 3: or immunity, but he might. It might be one of
- 56:36Speaker 3: the It might be one of these things where you're
- 56:37Speaker 3: playing a board game with someone and you're like, wait,
- 56:39Speaker 3: does this guy really not see this amazing move I'm
- 56:41Speaker 3: about to do.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's just throwing shit at the wall.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Man. I think it's uh because at the end of
- 56:46Speaker 4: the day, I and this makes sense since Trump is
- 56:49Speaker 4: if anything, he's if he's an expert at anything, it's
- 56:52Speaker 4: in suing or in lawsuits, in being sued and suing.
- 56:55Speaker 1: I think he understands.
- 56:56Speaker 4: They're like, hey, me, just doing the paperwork buys me
- 56:59Speaker 4: like two or so weeks of wait time and extraneous
- 57:05Speaker 4: press that no longer talking about the things that I'm
- 57:06Speaker 4: actually scared about, because like even the more we talk
- 57:10Speaker 4: about this, the more I'm just like, Okay, we run
- 57:12Speaker 4: it out to a grand jury. We play that all
- 57:15Speaker 4: the way out. It's a frivolous case. It's a frivoless case.
- 57:18Speaker 1: So it's like he can't.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Beating to win, even if his team lies to him.
- 57:21Speaker 4: I said, he's just treading to win the person lying
- 57:23Speaker 4: to him. It's like, Okay, I don't infend to win.
- 57:25Speaker 4: I think we just need to do something. And I
- 57:26Speaker 4: think that Daddy is mad at all of us, so
- 57:28Speaker 4: we just need to say something so that he thinks
- 57:31Speaker 4: we're doing something. And just like most of these things, right,
- 57:33Speaker 4: most of Trump's actions have been rescinded, repealed, or he
- 57:37Speaker 4: just reneged on them. That's the that's the manipulative thing
- 57:40Speaker 4: about it.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Like there's a lot of that, like of just various
- 57:44Speaker 3: proclamations where it's like, ah, did we ever get transgender
- 57:47Speaker 3: people out of the military? I never followed up on.
- 57:49Speaker 1: That because they don't care.
- 57:51Speaker 4: Here he hear he, I have a new proclamation from
- 57:55Speaker 4: now on, no more tacos or a Tuesday have freedom fries.
- 58:01Speaker 4: We're going to bring him back.
- 58:02Speaker 1: The freedom fries.
- 58:04Speaker 4: If Trump had his way, he really he really would
- 58:06Speaker 4: were like a constitutional amendment that says tweets get the
- 58:10Speaker 4: count as decrees. Like the way he would route the
- 58:12Speaker 4: presidency work is like I should just be able to
- 58:15Speaker 4: wake up and be like, Okay, here's what's gonna happen today.
- 58:17Speaker 1: I also don't want to call nobody either. I can't
- 58:19Speaker 1: walk up.
- 58:20Speaker 4: My ankles are swollen, so I'm just gonna tweet this
- 58:22Speaker 4: out and like We're just gonna let's just make it happen.
- 58:24Speaker 3: It's basically an executive order.
- 58:26Speaker 1: App yeah, he as far as he's considered, it's.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Postmatees for executive orders.
- 58:31Speaker 2: And there is some kind of recent precedent from our
- 58:36Speaker 2: side of the globe that could be a sign of
- 58:39Speaker 2: where this will all play out, and that is Brazil.
- 58:44Speaker 2: There's a great documentary about this called The Edge of Democracy.
- 58:47Speaker 2: In twenty ten, the president of Brazil, Luisi Nacio Lula
- 58:52Speaker 2: da Silva, who people mercifully just call Lula, left office
- 58:56Speaker 2: and his kind of protege, a woman named del Mar
- 58:59Speaker 2: Russeph took over as president. She just barely won the presidency.
- 59:03Speaker 2: In one of her first orders of business was what
- 59:06Speaker 2: we got to crack down on corruption in the government
- 59:09Speaker 2: and she launches all these corruption initiatives, and what happens
- 59:13Speaker 2: is the right wingers realize, oh, we can just use
- 59:16Speaker 2: that to impeach her and to arrest the last president,
- 59:20Speaker 2: and they kind of doctor up this proof that Lula
- 59:25Speaker 2: was involved in this scandal called Operation car Wash. And
- 59:29Speaker 2: the thing is damn near every Brazilian politician for decades
- 59:36Speaker 2: was involved in Operation car Wash, and the only person
- 59:40Speaker 2: who went to jail over it was Lula. But what
- 59:43Speaker 2: eventually happened. He was sentenced to prison. He was sentenced
- 59:47Speaker 2: to twelve years in prison. In twenty eighteen, his case
- 59:50Speaker 2: ended up getting overturned. Now he's out of prison, he's
- 59:54Speaker 2: president again. In Jai R. Bolsonaro, who is the Trump
- 59:59Speaker 2: of Brazil, is under house arrest. I could very much
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: see this playing out in a similar way where both
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: of these dudes go to jail at some point.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: It's it's so crazy.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: You laid it out in like every one plus one
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: equal to on all that until you got to the
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: Trump go into prison part, and it's so wild, like
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: that's that's my barrier.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I don't know why. I can't imagine I would love
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: this man ever going to jail.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: I would love to see that election Obama versus Trump
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: is an elect like, imagine they passed a constitutional amendment
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: that says, you could.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: That be the worst election ever.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: He's so Trump is like two senile now already. But
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: if that would have happened, I don't know, there's in
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: no way it could have happened.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: But and then I know where Joe Biden comes on
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: a part of the Green Party with a steel chair.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: So yeah, I mean, I don't know. I could see
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: if they if the right administration takes over at some point, just.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: The public debate between them, they interact very little for
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: two people that have so much to do with one
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: or other.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Have you ever like there's a picture of Trump and
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Obama together at some function in January twenty twenty five,
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: and they look like they are having the time of
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: their fucking lives.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they're like laughing and likes. It's almost like
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: it was just a role Like it was like, you
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: do this thing, and we'll do the whole COVID pandemic
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: and then I'll be president again.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I gotta see the video.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: It's a pretty good clip. Yeah, I mean I haven't
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: seen like Jimmy, it's kind of like when you see
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: Jimmy Carter and Fidel Castro at a funeral kind of
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: being like, hey, what's up?
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Bro? It is a lot like that, because I've seen
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: two pictures and in one Trump is just fucking cracking
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: up at something Obama said, and then in the other
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: one it's Obama with just clearly lap l o ellen
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: at something Trump said. And now here we are, what
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: six seven months later, and Trump's trying to send this
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: guy to prison. It doesn't not feel like wrestling shit sometimes,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that Trump is, you know, like Joe
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Biden's dementia, He had a very he had kind of
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: a hybrid strain of dementia that we're you know, he
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: would get kind of confused in his body. And Trump
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: has a very sativa. He gets angry and paranoid, you know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: and Richard nixony when he gets all dementia. So I
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: think this is just kind of like another one of
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: his drums to beat.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: I don't know, Yeah, who knows, but yeah, So I
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: don't know, get excited for another Obama administration in a
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: few years. We'll see. Do we have any final thoughts
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: on Obama and Trump? Obama versus Trump. I guess we
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: could call it Royal Royal Rumble. I don't know what
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: number we're up to now.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just tracking how old uh Melia is.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: She's got to be up there now, right, she's fifty
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: five years old.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I think, I mean, I think she's out of college.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: But get got to get the thirty six.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: So yeah, I think that's our episode.
