- 0:34Speaker 4: I'm good. I'm good. I had just so the longest
- 0:37Speaker 4: weekend that went by the fastest. Do you ever just
- 0:40Speaker 4: stack your weekend like this? This, this, this, this all
- 0:43Speaker 4: day Saturday, all day Sunday. And I just sat in
- 0:45Speaker 4: my seat here and I was like, were we just here?
- 0:47Speaker 4: When are we just eating popcorn from Galaxy Theaters.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Kanas just said something crazy to me, She goes, I
- 0:52Speaker 2: don't have a free day until May thirty. First.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred. May Somber is like the realest situation
- 0:58Speaker 4: for moms. May sound Yeah, we call it May Somber
- 1:01Speaker 4: because it's just like events, events, events, things going on
- 1:05Speaker 4: into school Year's Spirit Day, you know, Teacher Appreciation Week,
- 1:08Speaker 4: is this week bring all the things. I'm just like
- 1:11Speaker 4: I overscheduled myself on top of that. I know, but
- 1:14Speaker 4: you used to be able to say no, Yeah I did,
- 1:17Speaker 4: but I'm saying yes because it's things for my family
- 1:20Speaker 4: or things for my son. Like none of this is
- 1:22Speaker 4: like my my thing other than we're going to the
- 1:24Speaker 4: Rangers game next weekend. That's my thing. But it's on
- 1:27Speaker 4: Mother's Day, and so I just I stacked it all,
- 1:31Speaker 4: stacked it all back to back. We went to NASCAR
- 1:33Speaker 4: yesterday at Texas Motor Speedway.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Oh was that fun?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Really fun? Yeah, but that's a whole day thing too,
- 1:39Speaker 4: and that for my son.
- 1:41Speaker 2: So it could be like me start saying no more,
- 1:44Speaker 2: like no, I can't do it.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Well, I excited this morning as I was looking for
- 1:47Speaker 4: my snacks and like you know, in a frenzy, trying
- 1:49Speaker 4: to get out of the house on time in the dark.
- 1:51Speaker 4: That starting May thirty first, no June, nothing's happening. My
- 1:55Speaker 4: birthday is the last day of June. So nothing's happening
- 1:58Speaker 4: until my birthday unless anyone wants to do anything.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so show field trips, can we do a showfield trip?
- 2:04Speaker 4: Well, squeeze one in. But they'll be last minute. If
- 2:07Speaker 4: I'm in the mood, we'll do it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I like that, Yeah, I like. I like spontaneous though. Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 2: so that's good. But I know everyone can't be spontaneous.
- 2:15Speaker 2: It's tough when you got kids and family.
- 2:17Speaker 4: A good mix of planning and spontaneous.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that's true. Well, good, I'm glad you had
- 2:21Speaker 2: a good weekend. Everything was fun.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Thanks.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure who was here. He's in a frenzy today.
- 2:27Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 2:28Speaker 2: I know, Poo is so all over the place this morning.
- 2:31Speaker 2: He's making me. He's making me anxious, well.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Because the phones are tripping and I'm trying to get
- 2:35Speaker 1: a hold on those.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah, the door here was tripping.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the request lines. You're talking about the request of
- 2:41Speaker 2: the request lines, but I can't.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Uh. Usually when I get here, I check them out,
- 2:45Speaker 1: make sure they work.
- 2:46Speaker 2: They work.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Hello, Okay, continue on. Well, right before the show started,
- 2:52Speaker 1: my computer restarts and everything, and I'm like, what's going on?
- 2:56Speaker 1: It never has done that. Yeah, so it blacked everything
- 2:59Speaker 1: out and kick back on. I test the phones again.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Then I can't hear anything. So I'm like, so I'm
- 3:05Speaker 1: like all over the place.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I can tell it. Yeah, it's making me nervous.
- 3:09Speaker 2: You gotta be like a duck. Be like a duck.
- 3:10Speaker 2: What does a duck do? A duck on the surface
- 3:13Speaker 2: looks calm and everything's fine. Underwater, his legs, Like, you
- 3:19Speaker 2: gotta start looking calm on the surface.
- 3:20Speaker 4: We can see his legs.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 3:26Speaker 3: The top stories on the Tents with Billy's a Kid in.
- 3:29Speaker 5: The morning only on the new Mixed one or two.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Point nine, right and early on a Monday morning. Candice
- 3:35Speaker 2: low Pez, what is going on in our world?
- 3:36Speaker 4: Yeah, well, some serious news out of forty ISD. They're
- 3:39Speaker 4: part of a multi agency investigation stemming from misconduct allegations
- 3:43Speaker 4: at Crosby Elementary School. So the principal, a teacher, and
- 3:47Speaker 4: a number of teachers aids were let go and will
- 3:50Speaker 4: not be returning. That's according to the district. They're saying.
- 3:53Speaker 4: The teacher in question was hired back in October under
- 3:56Speaker 4: a name with a clean background check, but they later
- 3:59Speaker 4: learned that he actually had legally changed his name before
- 4:03Speaker 4: being hired by forty ISD. But he was facing charges
- 4:07Speaker 4: under his previous name, and I guess he was acquitted
- 4:11Speaker 4: in that case. But there are parents, saying that that's
- 4:13Speaker 4: because the child involved was nonverbal, and that that family
- 4:17Speaker 4: later moved away and never testified. But this is all
- 4:20Speaker 4: under investigation by Forty police, CPS and the state. They
- 4:25Speaker 4: haven't released specific details, but the families involved have been
- 4:29Speaker 4: contacted directly about this misconduct. But I'm hearing it could
- 4:32Speaker 4: be up to nine students that were involved in this.
- 4:35Speaker 4: I believe it was a first grade, a special education teacher,
- 4:39Speaker 4: but there were aids, and they're saying other staff who
- 4:42Speaker 4: witnessed this misconduct and didn't report it immediately and that's
- 4:45Speaker 4: why they were removed from their positions at the school.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So wait, so this guy got through the system by
- 4:51Speaker 2: changing his name correct and then was doing misconduct.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Yes, so we don't know what type, but yeah, so
- 4:59Speaker 4: the the way that he was able to kind of
- 5:01Speaker 4: slip through the cracks in all of this, I mean
- 5:03Speaker 4: huge red flags. Yeah, for the principal, teacher, teacher's aids,
- 5:06Speaker 4: a number of you know, staff at this elementary school
- 5:09Speaker 4: to just be removed immediately like that, I mean, it's
- 5:12Speaker 4: pretty serious. So yeah, just thinking about everyone in forty
- 5:15Speaker 4: because that's got to be tough for families, tough for
- 5:17Speaker 4: you know, students at that school.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean and special education teacher.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's awful.
- 5:24Speaker 2: What is going on?
- 5:25Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, So I'll keep you posted if there's any updates.
- 5:28Speaker 4: And we should talk about Spirit Airlines guys shutting down
- 5:31Speaker 4: Saturday morning and abruptly canceling service. Seventeen thousand workers lost
- 5:36Speaker 4: their jobs. They left travelers stranded. You know, as of
- 5:40Speaker 4: May twenty twenty four, I guess they operated just over
- 5:43Speaker 4: three thousand, three percent of the domestic flights, and this
- 5:47Speaker 4: month that number would have been around one percent. But
- 5:50Speaker 4: there's all these movements online to save Spirit Airlines.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Don't really want that, Listen, I don't want anyone to
- 5:58Speaker 2: lose their job, don't. Then again, I've flown Spirit once
- 6:03Speaker 2: and I had the worst airline experience of my entire life. Right,
- 6:07Speaker 2: literally canceled. Crazy, can't My flight was canceled for no reason. No,
- 6:11Speaker 2: not only. First of all, it was left early, right,
- 6:14Speaker 2: then it was canceled. Then the next day was canceled,
- 6:18Speaker 2: and I dealt with the rudest people I've ever dealt
- 6:21Speaker 2: with your entire in my entire life. So do I
- 6:24Speaker 2: want to see people lose their jobs?
- 6:25Speaker 4: No?
- 6:25Speaker 2: But is this just or is this just capitalism at play. Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 2: you know where I'm sorry, but the best businesses and
- 6:32Speaker 2: the worst businesses are going to sort themselves out.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Does the government need to come in and save everybody
- 6:37Speaker 2: all the time? I don't know.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, this was kind of a joke to
- 6:40Speaker 4: save Spirit online. But there's a website let's buy Spirit
- 6:44Speaker 4: air dot com and it says, you know, this website
- 6:46Speaker 4: crashed because how many people went you know and made
- 6:48Speaker 4: pledges that they can't even take donations. At the moment,
- 6:52Speaker 4: I can't tell this is still a joke, but they're
- 6:54Speaker 4: they're claiming there have been over eighty eight million dollars
- 6:57Speaker 4: pledged already by one hundred and twenty fourth people. But
- 7:01Speaker 4: it has been nice to see some of the other airlines,
- 7:04Speaker 4: you know, stepping up to help these customers of Spirit
- 7:07Speaker 4: that were stranded. And then I think Southwest actually they
- 7:10Speaker 4: Spirit had a guy who was retiring from their airline
- 7:13Speaker 4: and he ended up taking a Southwest flight and so
- 7:16Speaker 4: they did the whole retirement ceremony for him and had
- 7:18Speaker 4: like the water thing that they do, you know, once
- 7:21Speaker 4: they landed, but they really treated him like he was,
- 7:24Speaker 4: you know, retiring from Southwest.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I feel bad for the employees. Don't
- 7:28Speaker 2: get me wrong, the Spirit employees who lost their job,
- 7:30Speaker 2: and the pilots and every I do. Yeah, it's so,
- 7:32Speaker 2: it's not funny. But my friend the first time he's
- 7:36Speaker 2: flown Spirit this weekend, the first time ever. He literally
- 7:42Speaker 2: is stuck in New Orleans now because can you imagine
- 7:46Speaker 2: you're somewhere and all of a sudden, you say your
- 7:49Speaker 2: ticket's going to be refunded. We don't exist anymore, right,
- 7:52Speaker 2: He's like, what do you mean?
- 7:53Speaker 4: Figure it out?
- 7:54Speaker 2: You don't exist. He's never flown it before.
- 7:56Speaker 4: That's insane.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And our friend who it's the same reason, and our
- 8:00Speaker 2: friendship Chip always he's the one who got me to
- 8:04Speaker 2: fly Spirit.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Dude.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Come on, man, it's cheap, it doesn't matter. Get on, Yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 2: it's fine, who cares. I've never had a problem. He
- 8:12Speaker 2: like works for Spirit lok. Yeah, he's the one that
- 8:15Speaker 2: convinced our buddy to do. And guess what now he's
- 8:17Speaker 2: driving back from New Orleans. Did you see what they
- 8:20Speaker 2: did in a df let the Spirit get in DFW? No,
- 8:23Speaker 2: they already made it a Spirit Halloween store.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I did see the meme of the plane, though outfitted
- 8:29Speaker 4: in the spirit. That's awful. I'm hilarious, but real quick, guys.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Sources are saying Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz could be
- 8:38Speaker 4: planning at two weddings, uh, possibly in London and one
- 8:42Speaker 4: in New York. Our dad, you know, Lenny Kravitz lives
- 8:44Speaker 4: in New York. But this is all happening really fast
- 8:47Speaker 4: because I don't even think we knew they were even
- 8:49Speaker 4: dating until August of last year. Yeah, unless they kept
- 8:52Speaker 4: it super low key annoying.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I woke up and I saw this. I was maybe
- 8:56Speaker 2: I'm just a little bit crabby. I'm a snap out
- 8:58Speaker 2: of it. Let me drink this coffee. But two weddings
- 9:00Speaker 2: annoyed me. Not why one wedding annoys me? What do
- 9:04Speaker 2: you need two weddings for?
- 9:06Speaker 4: Well, I guess for like his people. You know, he
- 9:08Speaker 4: wants a British wedding maybe and she wants, you know,
- 9:10Speaker 4: an American New York. Oh there, you'll have enough money,
- 9:13Speaker 4: though I don't understand why we would do that.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Don't just have one wedding and fly your people out
- 9:17Speaker 2: to see you. I hope you have two divorces that
- 9:22Speaker 2: I plan on having two divorces. If you're gonna have
- 9:24Speaker 2: two weddings, have two divorces. I'm gonna go to both weddings.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I want to go to one.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Yeah, because if I'm in New York, I'm like, no,
- 9:30Speaker 4: I want to travel to London. But then London is
- 9:32Speaker 4: probably like, oh, no, I want to travel to New York. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 4: I want to be like everyone from the other city. Probably.
- 9:37Speaker 2: It must be nice to be so rich to have
- 9:39Speaker 2: two weddings. We can barely afford one. Yeah, amen, gas
- 9:42Speaker 2: price is so high. You want me to fly to
- 9:44Speaker 2: the UK on spirit to see you? Come on super mad.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Today, can Loves. Those are your Texas top stories rail
- 9:53Speaker 4: or fake news.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you three headlines. You gotta tell me
- 9:56Speaker 2: which one is the fake story? And our news is ridiculous.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Here we go. First headline, Zebra escapes from Zoo turns
- 10:04Speaker 2: out to be just a donkey painted with white stripes.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Zebra Escapes from Zoo turns out to be just a
- 10:13Speaker 2: donkey painted with white stripes. Headline number two. A Texas
- 10:18Speaker 2: ice cream shop is serving crawfish flavored ice cream with
- 10:22Speaker 2: an actual crawfish on top. A Texas ice cream shop
- 10:26Speaker 2: is serving crawfish flavored ice cream with an actual crawfish
- 10:29Speaker 2: on top. Headline number two, Headline number three, Florida man
- 10:33Speaker 2: arrested after trying to trade his wife to a bass
- 10:36Speaker 2: Pro Shops employee. Florida man arrested after trying to trade
- 10:42Speaker 2: his wife to a bass Pro Shops employee. Doesn't say
- 10:47Speaker 2: what he was trading for. He was trying to make
- 10:50Speaker 2: He was doing tradio radio, which we're doing at eight
- 10:52Speaker 2: thirty if our phones work, because we got nidos and
- 10:54Speaker 2: mystery dumplings to trade, So figure out what you want
- 10:57Speaker 2: to trade. Not your wife though, no, sorry, we don't
- 11:01Speaker 2: need that. No, all right? Uh oh, this is tough today.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Which one is the fake headline? Candice Lopez? Would you
- 11:08Speaker 2: like to go first? Or would you like to pass
- 11:09Speaker 2: it to sweaty Lapoo Poo today?
- 11:12Speaker 4: I think I'll go first today. This is really hard.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Lock me in for that second story, the crawfish ice cream.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah, because doesn't that sound just disgusting? All right, boo,
- 11:22Speaker 2: let's lock it in. It is officially locked in. Okay,
- 11:25Speaker 2: producer pooh, you're sweating over there. You've had a lot
- 11:27Speaker 2: of technical difficulties also because I think you're just sweaty
- 11:31Speaker 2: in general. But some people just sweat. It's okay today
- 11:36Speaker 2: it is it's muggy producer poo. Which one do you
- 11:39Speaker 2: think is the fake story?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Lock me in for that last story, the guy trying
- 11:43Speaker 1: to trade his wife.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Let's catch it all right, let's lock that and you
- 11:45Speaker 2: sure you want to lock down in?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't nobody trying to trade his wife like this?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Lock it in?
- 11:50Speaker 2: It is locked in. And the winner today starting off
- 11:53Speaker 2: his week with a win. It's producer pooh, Oh my god.
- 12:00Speaker 2: He's not winning here, but not winning behind the scenes,
- 12:05Speaker 2: but really fake news, he's winning congratulations poo. Yeah, so
- 12:10Speaker 2: that story is a fake. It had me fooled though.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I saw this story and I'm like, what is this
- 12:15Speaker 2: guy doing? And it looked like a whole entire story.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It was written up where this guy had a contract
- 12:20Speaker 2: he brought his wife in trying to trader for a
- 12:22Speaker 2: bass boat, and I was like, what is going on?
- 12:25Speaker 2: And then I finally realized it was fake. But it
- 12:27Speaker 2: had me for a minute. Wow, I'd do some serious
- 12:29Speaker 2: investigating games, all right. Yeah, this story the one of
- 12:34Speaker 2: the real stories. A Texas ice cream shop is serving
- 12:37Speaker 2: crawfish flavored ice cream is a real story. This is
- 12:41Speaker 2: just oh, man, I don't get it. Yeah. Texas ice
- 12:44Speaker 2: Cream shop is going viral for serving crawfish flavored ice cream,
- 12:46Speaker 2: one of the most unusual food trends right now. The
- 12:48Speaker 2: dessert blends sweet ice cream with buttery, garlicky Cajun seasoning
- 12:53Speaker 2: inspired by a traditional crawfish boil, creating a mix of sweet, salty,
- 12:57Speaker 2: and spicy flavorsp tops each scoop with a whole crawfish,
- 13:03Speaker 2: and customers are even encouraged to use the show as
- 13:05Speaker 2: a spoon.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Oh.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Despite how bizarre it sounds, the flavor has become a
- 13:09Speaker 2: fan favorite during crawfish season. It often sells out due
- 13:14Speaker 2: to high demand the places in Houston. I looked it up.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's called Red Circle, Red Circle ice Cream Shop. So
- 13:20Speaker 2: if you're down there and you want to throw up
- 13:22Speaker 2: there you go.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I like crawfish too, Yeah too, since I had it,
- 13:26Speaker 4: but I remember liking them.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I was just thinking about that. I'm like, you know what,
- 13:29Speaker 2: I know everything about Cannis, but I don't know if
- 13:31Speaker 2: you like crawfish.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I went to one crawfish boril back in college. Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 4: my friend Audra her dad used to do it.
- 13:38Speaker 5: It's good.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember it being good. But that's I don't
- 13:40Speaker 4: remember a whole lot.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I need to take you right up the street. One
- 13:43Speaker 2: of the best places right here. Oh yeah, Nates, Yes,
- 13:46Speaker 2: Nates Seafood.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Oh it sounds good.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I used to go there back in the day. I
- 13:50Speaker 2: don't know if he's still around, but I love that guy, Nate.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Nate would get blasted in his heart. He did something
- 13:57Speaker 2: that was so smart. I saw. I witness this first.
- 14:00Speaker 2: He got drunk at his own bar, right and I'm like, oh,
- 14:03Speaker 2: he can't drive, and he's like, no, I can't drive.
- 14:05Speaker 2: He called Triple A to say his car was broke
- 14:07Speaker 2: down and had it towed to his house so it
- 14:12Speaker 2: would be there when he woke up. I was like, wow,
- 14:18Speaker 2: smart life, right exactly. Okay. Next story, zebra escapes from
- 14:23Speaker 2: zoo turns out to be a donkey painted with white stripes.
- 14:27Speaker 2: So this happened in Armenia. Yeah, Monday morning. I guess
- 14:31Speaker 2: it was some morning. Everybody woke up and they were like, wait,
- 14:34Speaker 2: was zebra has escaped the city zoo. It was roaming
- 14:36Speaker 2: around one of the capitol's busiest streets. Police and emergency
- 14:39Speaker 2: services were dispatched. They're trying to figure out what's going on.
- 14:42Speaker 2: The zebra was quickly corralled and tied up by zoo's
- 14:45Speaker 2: staff and bystanders. Only one problem. It wasn't a zebra.
- 14:50Speaker 2: It was a donkey that somebody had painted with black
- 14:53Speaker 2: and white stripes, and they took it to the zoo.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Outside of the zoo and people were taking pictures with it.
- 15:01Speaker 2: They were charging people to take pictures with the donkey
- 15:05Speaker 2: that was painted like a zebra and actually making money
- 15:08Speaker 2: and people didn't even know. I think I would know, yeah,
- 15:12Speaker 2: I mean for sure, or would I? Then again, I
- 15:14Speaker 2: don't know. I didn't see a real life count until
- 15:15Speaker 2: I was like twenty one. I take a point, would
- 15:18Speaker 2: I know?
- 15:19Speaker 4: Yeah, if somebody you would know.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I mean, donkeys are donkeys and zebras are pretty much
- 15:23Speaker 2: the same right now.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Don't zebras have like the nice hair?
- 15:26Speaker 1: No, I don't think they have nice Donkeys make the
- 15:29Speaker 1: awesome I mean you excuse me. You know when a
- 15:32Speaker 1: donkey makes his a little noise?
- 15:33Speaker 4: Yeah, this zebra is on.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, what does a zebra sound like?
- 15:37Speaker 1: Zebra just does a like a like a It sounds
- 15:40Speaker 1: like it's gargle in his throat, like look it up?
- 15:43Speaker 4: Does it really?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 15:45Speaker 4: I've only seen them at Disney World.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Should we do guess that animals sound with pooh?
- 15:50Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 15:51Speaker 2: Okay? What does the zebra sound like like?
- 15:54Speaker 1: It does like a guard? It sounds like it's zebra bird? No,
- 15:57Speaker 1: it just it just does like a weird gurgles sound.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Is it bird man?
- 16:00Speaker 5: No?
- 16:02Speaker 2: Okay? So what is a donkey sounding?
- 16:06Speaker 6: You know?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 16:12Speaker 2: All right? When I see zebra, you do zebra? When
- 16:14Speaker 2: I say donkey, do donkey? Okay, zebra donkey. I don't
- 16:21Speaker 2: ever want to hear anybody say who isn't talented?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Okay, kid in the morning.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Only on the new Mixed one or two point nine.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Dirty Little Secret coming up next? You're ready for that.
- 16:33Speaker 2: It's an emotional one too, is it? You just wait
- 16:36Speaker 2: to hear this. I haven't heard the full story. I
- 16:37Speaker 2: don't like hearing the full story, but I got to
- 16:39Speaker 2: know what's going on a little bit.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 2: This woman is going through it with her husband. That's
- 16:44Speaker 2: all I'll say, going through it. So Candice, what's going on?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Well, the votes were counted and this weekend's election. Dart
- 16:51Speaker 4: services will be coming to an end in Highland Park
- 16:54Speaker 4: this month, but will continue in Addison and University Park.
- 16:58Speaker 4: So they had elections over the weekend because of the
- 17:00Speaker 4: city of Plano. So they first announced their intention to
- 17:03Speaker 4: leave this alliance, saying it's tax contributions weren't worth the
- 17:07Speaker 4: benefits to residents. Well Plano Farmers Branch in Irving then
- 17:11Speaker 4: had you know, initially planned elections and then cancel them
- 17:14Speaker 4: after they negotiated their agreements. So buses will continue to
- 17:18Speaker 4: operate through Highland Park, but will not stop within those
- 17:21Speaker 4: city limits. That is expected to take effect May fifteenth.
- 17:25Speaker 5: What.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can't get the bus in Highland Park.
- 17:28Speaker 4: No, not as of May fifteenth. Yeah, it's gonna go away.
- 17:31Speaker 2: So if I work somewhere in Highland Park, yeah, well.
- 17:34Speaker 4: I'm gonna figure it out. Yeah, you're gonna have to
- 17:36Speaker 4: go past Highland Park and then come around some other
- 17:39Speaker 4: way take a car. I don't know how they don't.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Want to work for people, They don't want the buses
- 17:42Speaker 2: in Highland Park. No, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a It's been a hot topic for I
- 17:50Speaker 4: mean pretty much all year. I know, the CEO there
- 17:53Speaker 4: was a change there with Dart, but we just had,
- 17:55Speaker 4: you know, the new Silver line being built up in
- 17:58Speaker 4: Plano and Richardson area, which is beautiful. Yeah, so it's
- 18:02Speaker 4: you know, city by city.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Okay, you know, no, you could do that. Yeah, so
- 18:07Speaker 2: I live in Carrollton. We could put something on the
- 18:09Speaker 2: books to vote if we don't want buses in our city.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Yeah, well the dart service.
- 18:14Speaker 2: The dart service, right, Okay, so.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Maybe there's another option that they're going to come up with.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Maybe you just can't stop there. Yeah, so is it.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Too too poor for well, I just I just don't
- 18:27Speaker 2: like the sight of a bus.
- 18:29Speaker 1: A bus is just pover, just grody.
- 18:33Speaker 2: It just looks so I don't know, it's just so big,
- 18:35Speaker 2: and it's it's not even a Mercedes, Like you're just
- 18:39Speaker 2: going to drive this bus through our city.
- 18:42Speaker 4: I mean, it's you're paying for the taxes for the service,
- 18:46Speaker 4: and then maybe the residents aren't using it. Maybe that's
- 18:48Speaker 4: part of the issue, but I don't live in Highland
- 18:50Speaker 4: Park at least. Anyways, can let's talk about McDonald's guys.
- 18:57Speaker 4: They are quietly getting rid of their self a soda fountains.
- 19:01Speaker 4: So this plan is to completely get rid of them
- 19:03Speaker 4: by twenty thirty two. They would be only behind the counter.
- 19:08Speaker 4: They're saying this would help modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance and
- 19:12Speaker 4: labor demands, and also really adapt to the demand for
- 19:14Speaker 4: drive through, delivery and takeout. So, yeah, which one.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Do you want? Do you want us to have people
- 19:19Speaker 2: there or no? Because how am I going to get
- 19:21Speaker 2: a drink freefil Right?
- 19:22Speaker 4: I'm confused too because my McDonald's has like the you know,
- 19:25Speaker 4: self serve chiosks, right, so I have to wait to
- 19:28Speaker 4: talk to somebody.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Exactly which to guess what. Nobody comes to the front
- 19:31Speaker 2: now if you have self service, So now I gotta wait.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Just let me get my soda.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Right. Well, yeah, they're saying this would also give them
- 19:39Speaker 4: more control over portion, sizes, cleanliness, and inventory. So yeah,
- 19:44Speaker 4: you can't take your water cup and just sneach spray.
- 19:46Speaker 2: No, I've done that my entire life. I've taken it. Literally.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I don't know how McDonald's keeps the lights on because
- 19:52Speaker 2: I'm I've stole so much spry. No, I haven't. No,
- 19:55Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. They just actually, Highland Park just announced
- 19:59Speaker 2: that they kicked all McDonald's out of the city. There's
- 20:03Speaker 2: no more McDonald's in Highland Park.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Well.
- 20:05Speaker 4: McDonald's also launching six new drinks this week. At some
- 20:08Speaker 4: of their locations. So they're getting in on like the
- 20:10Speaker 4: dirty soda trend, so with these refreshers and crafted sodas,
- 20:14Speaker 4: so maybe they're hoping that's more your jam. Moving forward,
- 20:17Speaker 4: real quick, guys, post Malone canceled the start of his tour.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Six shows were part of this, including his shows in Texas.
- 20:25Speaker 4: That tour will now kick off June twelfth in Indianapolis.
- 20:28Speaker 4: So post Malone saying he needs more time to finish
- 20:31Speaker 4: his double album before this tour starts. And you know,
- 20:34Speaker 4: people are saying this could have something to do with
- 20:36Speaker 4: low ticket sales. I know some of the shows were
- 20:39Speaker 4: offering discounts already for those tickets.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, a show could have something to do with
- 20:45Speaker 2: the fact that life is really expensive right now. Yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 2: and people don't have disposable income for an expensive concert ticket.
- 20:51Speaker 2: I love posts, No, I do too.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I was really hoping to go down to Waco to
- 20:55Speaker 4: see him, but that show was on a weeknight. Also,
- 20:58Speaker 4: I know, and it's like, I mean, people would go,
- 21:00Speaker 4: but people from Diy Tooby are going to drive to
- 21:02Speaker 4: Waco on a weeknight.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I can't school night again. So yet, No, I think
- 21:06Speaker 2: it's a couple of facts. I mean, I think people
- 21:07Speaker 2: want to see posts. But oh yeah, it's expensive, it's
- 21:10Speaker 2: in Waco.
- 21:11Speaker 4: It's the same tour.
- 21:12Speaker 2: It's the same tour as went around before. So I
- 21:15Speaker 2: don't think it's a bad thing if you take some
- 21:16Speaker 2: time off.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Yeah, he posted those saying, you know, he promises that
- 21:19Speaker 4: new music. He's promised it, doesn't have time to finish it.
- 21:22Speaker 4: He's just not ready to tour. So if he pushes
- 21:24Speaker 4: it back three weeks, that'll help get the music done.
- 21:26Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm Ganda slow Pez. Those are your Texas
- 21:29Speaker 4: top stories.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret makes one of two
- 21:36Speaker 2: point nine appeeling a kid Canda Sloan Pens, producer food.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Don't forget we're doing it eight thirty. I still have
- 21:40Speaker 2: it down that we're doing tradio radio. I don't care
- 21:42Speaker 2: what kind of obstacle we face with these request lines.
- 21:45Speaker 2: We're gonna make it happen, don't you worry. Yes, we
- 21:47Speaker 2: have nidos and mystery dumplings to give away, which people
- 21:50Speaker 2: are standing the line for hours and hours for it.
- 21:52Speaker 2: They're going on it's crazy. We want on sale for
- 21:55Speaker 2: hundreds of dollars online. Yeah, it's crazy. These toys everybody wants,
- 21:58Speaker 2: We got them. We're going to do it all week
- 21:59Speaker 2: eight thirty Tradio Radio. So figure out something you want
- 22:01Speaker 2: to trade. Okay, now, dirty little secrets. Whatever your secret is,
- 22:05Speaker 2: you can confess at eight three three seven eight seven
- 22:07Speaker 2: one or two nine or right now, it's probably best
- 22:10Speaker 2: to go to at mix one of two nine FM
- 22:11Speaker 2: on Instagram and we could set it up there because
- 22:13Speaker 2: our request lines are down, but they're being rebuilt by Brad.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Who Brad is I don't know, but he's in our
- 22:19Speaker 2: computer poo set this brat who has never sweated so
- 22:22Speaker 2: hard in his life. He's running around I deserve he
- 22:25Speaker 2: deserves Chipotle today, Yeah, or maybe another shot at tequila.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I don't know. All right, you got a secret, you
- 22:32Speaker 2: let us know, and you have one. What's going on?
- 22:34Speaker 6: I do? I've been going back and forth on calling
- 22:37Speaker 6: you guys, but I really don't have anyone to talk
- 22:39Speaker 6: to about this.
- 22:40Speaker 2: So well that's what we're here for, where it's a
- 22:42Speaker 2: non judgment zone. What is going on in your world?
- 22:45Speaker 6: Well, I've been married and we've only been married a
- 22:48Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 22:52Speaker 6: the beginning, we both wanted the same thing, like a
- 22:54Speaker 6: family with kids, you know, a big house full of noise,
- 22:57Speaker 6: and that was always a part of the plan for
- 23:00Speaker 6: both of us. And because it hadn't worked out that way,
- 23:03Speaker 6: we've been trying and trying and trying, and nothing has happened.
- 23:09Speaker 6: And at first I thought it was me. So I
- 23:12Speaker 6: got tested and I went through all the emotions, like
- 23:15Speaker 6: something's wrong with my body. I'm like broken, I'm something's
- 23:18Speaker 6: not happening right. And then we found out it's not me,
- 23:22Speaker 6: it's him. Oh okay, And I don't even think he
- 23:26Speaker 6: realizes how much that changed everything for me. And I
- 23:28Speaker 6: tried to be supportive and I love him. I love
- 23:30Speaker 6: him so much, and he's a good man, he's a
- 23:33Speaker 6: good husband, and it's not his fault. But I feel
- 23:36Speaker 6: like ever since I found out, like there's this big
- 23:38Speaker 6: weight on me and I can't shake it. And I've
- 23:41Speaker 6: always pictured myself as a mom. I've always wanted kids.
- 23:45Speaker 6: I wanted that life with my husband, to have my
- 23:48Speaker 6: kids in my house, and so it's just like, this
- 23:52Speaker 6: can't happen now.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I know it's a lot of emotions, but and I'm
- 23:57Speaker 2: not saying this is the same, but I know there's
- 24:00Speaker 2: other you know, there's adoption, there's other things that you
- 24:03Speaker 2: could do.
- 24:05Speaker 6: My friends. Yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 24:08Speaker 6: against it. I'm not. But if I'm being completely honest,
- 24:12Speaker 6: I don't know if I'll feel the same way. Yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 6: And I feel awful saying that, but that's how I feel.
- 24:18Speaker 6: And I can't deny that I feel that way. And
- 24:21Speaker 6: this is a part of like what makes me feel
- 24:24Speaker 6: like I might be the worst wife in the world
- 24:26Speaker 6: or worst person in the world. And I just know
- 24:29Speaker 6: that I know myself and i'd be lying if if,
- 24:32Speaker 6: like if I say this is okay, because like I said,
- 24:35Speaker 6: this has always been my dream. And I have thought
- 24:39Speaker 6: about leaving him. Oh, and I haven't said it, and
- 24:43Speaker 6: I haven't even come close because I love him and
- 24:46Speaker 6: it's like not his fault, but it's it's crossed my
- 24:49Speaker 6: mind that maybe I should move on.
- 24:50Speaker 2: But I'm like, hold on, So you're thinking about actually leap, okay,
- 24:55Speaker 2: and I'm not. It's a non judgment zone. You're thinking
- 24:58Speaker 2: about leaving him over.
- 24:59Speaker 6: There, Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 25:03Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do, because I
- 25:06Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 25:08Speaker 6: building together, but it's not working out, and I just
- 25:12Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 25:19Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 25:22Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 25:27Speaker 2: difference between going, oh, you know what, I can't. I
- 25:30Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 25:34Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things.
- 25:37Speaker 2: So I mean, I guess it just depends on you.
- 25:39Speaker 2: If you love them. I just feel like there's no
- 25:42Speaker 2: way you can leave them over this.
- 25:44Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave them either. But
- 25:45Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself, and I'm like, how do
- 25:48Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him? I'm keeping everything to myself.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Have you two talked about it, maybe possibly doing counseling
- 25:54Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't hold it inside, but also sharing that
- 25:59Speaker 4: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 26:06Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here, because
- 26:08Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person because.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Think about it, you le Let's say you know you've
- 26:14Speaker 2: thought about it, you leave him, you get with somebody else,
- 26:17Speaker 2: you have kids, you think years down the road, you're
- 26:20Speaker 2: not going to look back and go. I mean, yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm glad I'm a mom, but I can't believe I
- 26:24Speaker 2: left a man that I love right and love because
- 26:28Speaker 2: of something that he can't control.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:31Speaker 2: If this were switched around and it was a man
- 26:33Speaker 2: calling up and saying I'm leaving my wife because she
- 26:36Speaker 2: can't have kids, I think people would be in an uproar. Yeah,
- 26:40Speaker 2: and everybody feels different now that you're saying it, right,
- 26:43Speaker 2: And I don't think you're a bad person. I'm just
- 26:45Speaker 2: saying I would really talk to somebody before you let
- 26:48Speaker 2: that thought get out of control or take over.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Your mind, the process, you're how you're feeling, before you
- 26:53Speaker 4: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 26:55Speaker 4: can't turn back.
- 26:57Speaker 2: You know, because he's going through all this too, Yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 2: he probably feels so guilty and evasculated, like you know.
- 27:04Speaker 6: It's just horrible. I wish that things were different, but
- 27:07Speaker 6: they're not. So I have to just face what we
- 27:09Speaker 6: have going on.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Well yeah, and some people would be, you know, take
- 27:13Speaker 4: the route of this just wasn't meant to be. It
- 27:16Speaker 4: wasn't meant for me to have kids. You know. It's
- 27:18Speaker 4: a tough pill to swallow, it is when you've dreamed
- 27:21Speaker 4: of that.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, so many people go,
- 27:25Speaker 2: especially women, they feel like their main reason they're here
- 27:30Speaker 2: is to be a mom. So if that can't happen,
- 27:33Speaker 2: I get why you feel like there's a big part
- 27:34Speaker 2: of you missing.
- 27:35Speaker 4: For sure, but you definitely can't You guys can't work
- 27:38Speaker 4: through this on your own. I would definitely seek professional
- 27:41Speaker 4: help do that.
- 27:43Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 27:44Speaker 2: All good luck with everything and let us know what
- 27:48Speaker 2: happens and hang in there.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Okay, okay, thank you so much.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Well I told you it's deep. Yeah, all right, he's
- 27:57Speaker 2: got it.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Settles here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 28:02Speaker 2: All rise for the Honorable Judge Cannice Lopez in the
- 28:06Speaker 2: studio right now. I'm sorry on the bench. Yeah, as
- 28:08Speaker 2: we speak, it's mixed one or two point nine, all right.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Nidos Nidos Mystery dumplings on the way. We'll do it
- 28:13Speaker 2: at eight thirty. We're doing it no matter what. Yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 2: we're doing, whether the request lines are working, whether I
- 28:18Speaker 2: have to do it by messenger pigeon, everybody wants these toys,
- 28:21Speaker 2: We'll do it. We're doing tradio radio. Figure out something
- 28:23Speaker 2: you want to trade? Get ready? We got to do
- 28:25Speaker 2: it on Instagram. If I gotta go live on the
- 28:26Speaker 2: toll way in my underwear. Oh, okay, that's unnecessary. I
- 28:31Speaker 2: didn't do that.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Sorry, I didn't even expect that.
- 28:33Speaker 2: This is a core. Okay, get it.
- 28:35Speaker 4: All the line somewhere.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, if you've got an issue at Candas on air,
- 28:38Speaker 2: at candas on air on Instagram. Okay. This year, I
- 28:41Speaker 2: volunteered to coach my son's youth soccer team, and all
- 28:44Speaker 2: season I've been careful not to show him any favoritism.
- 28:48Speaker 2: He's a solid player and usually starts, but I've always
- 28:52Speaker 2: made it a point to treat him like any other kid.
- 28:55Speaker 2: We just had a big playoff game and it decided
- 28:57Speaker 2: to bench him for most of it because I didn't
- 29:00Speaker 2: want anyone thinking I was giving him special treatment. We
- 29:03Speaker 2: ended up losing, and he played only for a few minutes.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I could tell he was upset. But my wife is
- 29:10Speaker 2: furious and says I overcorrected to the point where I
- 29:14Speaker 2: actually hurt our son just to prove a point to
- 29:18Speaker 2: other parents. I thought I was doing the right thing
- 29:21Speaker 2: by being extra fair, but now I'm second guessing it.
- 29:25Speaker 2: We're in a big fight about it. Did I go
- 29:27Speaker 2: too far? Question mark? Question mark? Question mark? Ah ooh, okay,
- 29:33Speaker 2: So he's the coach, which is never easy. Yeah, when
- 29:36Speaker 2: your kid plays, that's why daddy ball they call it,
- 29:39Speaker 2: because usually the coach's kids sometimes play a little too much.
- 29:43Speaker 2: In this case, he overcorrected and he benched his kid
- 29:48Speaker 2: because he's like, I don't want to show favoritism, so
- 29:50Speaker 2: he benched him, probably more than he should have. Candice,
- 29:53Speaker 2: what are your initial thoughts?
- 29:54Speaker 4: I mean, you mentioned him for most of a playoff game.
- 29:57Speaker 4: We let alone play for a few minutes. I don't understand.
- 30:00Speaker 4: And that you know now the kids upset, the wife's upset.
- 30:04Speaker 4: How is everyone else feeling? Because I just feel like
- 30:07Speaker 4: there's fair and then there's extra fair. And why you
- 30:10Speaker 4: be an extra fair during a playoff game?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Well, you're worried about the way you look when all
- 30:15Speaker 2: you have to do is do the right thing, no
- 30:17Speaker 2: matter how you look, meaning, play like any other normal game. Right,
- 30:21Speaker 2: play all the kids equally.
- 30:22Speaker 4: If you're always fair, Just continue to be equally as
- 30:25Speaker 4: fair as you always are.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Like you don't have to sit your son on the
- 30:28Speaker 2: bench for the entire game or extra just to prove
- 30:31Speaker 2: a point. Play him as much as you usually do. Yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 2: you know what if it's if it's little league or whatever,
- 30:37Speaker 2: pee wee, play all the kids equally.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you just rotate them for sure. I mean we're
- 30:41Speaker 4: all here trying to learn and play and be a team,
- 30:45Speaker 4: you know.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I mean that's what like. Yeah, I coach baseball back
- 30:48Speaker 2: in the day, and that's what you did. Everybody got
- 30:50Speaker 2: a fair turn, right, Oh you sit out this any
- 30:52Speaker 2: next inning you sit out.
- 30:55Speaker 1: No, and that's why y'all lose. No, I don't one
- 30:59Speaker 1: championship when I coach. But go ahead, okay, listen. The
- 31:03Speaker 1: problem is nowadays this everybody gets a turn. That's the
- 31:07Speaker 1: problem with like sports. I don't like when I was
- 31:10Speaker 1: growing up, you and you play soccer, football, whatever, they
- 31:13Speaker 1: put the good people in because you want to win.
- 31:16Speaker 2: But we're talking, pee wee understand that. But that's what
- 31:19Speaker 2: you mean to tell me in little league or whatever.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Let's say it's baseball, because I never really played soccer, right, right,
- 31:24Speaker 2: let's say it's baseball. So if the kid's not that good,
- 31:27Speaker 2: he should just ride the manch the entire time, not just.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Not necessarily ride the bench.
- 31:31Speaker 2: But that's what you're saying.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But here's the deal. When when you were first doing
- 31:36Speaker 1: the like the pool of getting your players, I pick
- 31:38Speaker 1: out the ones I know they're gonna do something on
- 31:40Speaker 1: my team. I don't want to you don't coach. I
- 31:43Speaker 1: coached soccer one time. Okay, yeah, and I played all
- 31:47Speaker 1: the good kids there was there was what a bad Yeah.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie to you. There's not a bat.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Listen.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Now nowadays everybody coddles these kids. Everybody gets a turn
- 31:56Speaker 1: or participation in trophy. I want to win, not.
- 31:59Speaker 4: About well, we want to win too, but we want
- 32:01Speaker 4: our kid to learn and play and have a good time.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Like this is if he's a volunteer coach. It's not
- 32:06Speaker 4: that serious.
- 32:06Speaker 1: It's not that serious. I wouldn't I wouldn't have done that.
- 32:10Speaker 2: So let me say this. So if you're coaching soccer,
- 32:13Speaker 2: and you know, let's say a little timmy who has
- 32:16Speaker 2: two left feet. You know you can barely run. You're
- 32:19Speaker 2: gonna he's gonna be on the bench the entire game.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Not the entire game, maybe like the last few minutes
- 32:24Speaker 1: after we after we done murdered that team. Yeah, then
- 32:27Speaker 1: I put a little team. It's a playoff game. I
- 32:30Speaker 1: want to win. Like even listen, even choir dude nowadays? Yeah, yes,
- 32:36Speaker 1: because kids nowadays, everybody, everybody just participates.
- 32:41Speaker 2: What about choir? What's okay?
- 32:42Speaker 1: So yeah, but I had the same argue with my
- 32:46Speaker 1: baby mama, like, cho I don't want my son in
- 32:49Speaker 1: choir because my son really can he really can't sing,
- 32:52Speaker 1: Like why are you in choir? Choir is for people
- 32:56Speaker 1: who can sing? Why why try out?
- 33:00Speaker 2: Because that's what being a kid is all about.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Tell me talent.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But to me, there's kids that you want to try things,
- 33:06Speaker 2: you want to do things, you want to see what
- 33:07Speaker 2: you're passionate about, and that's the point. And if it's
- 33:10Speaker 2: not the best, then this is the time in life
- 33:12Speaker 2: you can mess up and go okay, if that wasn't
- 33:14Speaker 2: maybe my favorite thing. Or it's also a time where
- 33:16Speaker 2: he learns how to get better and can sing and
- 33:18Speaker 2: capitalize on his vocal talent where you can learn to sing.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Okay, how about learn to play before you try out.
- 33:30Speaker 1: That's a life lesson. Like if I'm good at my
- 33:32Speaker 1: job and you're not good at your job, you ain't
- 33:34Speaker 1: gonna get the same job.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Well, you know what I mean. We're not talking about
- 33:37Speaker 2: a job. We're talking about kids learning sports.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm saying that that's how that reflects in the future. Jeez,
- 33:43Speaker 1: I'm real competitive.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I want to win, but I'm very competitive as well.
- 33:48Speaker 2: But when you're teaching kids, you're teaching that. Yeah, winning
- 33:52Speaker 2: is a part of it, but it's not the most
- 33:54Speaker 2: important part. At this age. There's life skills that you're
- 33:57Speaker 2: teaching these kids. It's about learning how to work as
- 34:00Speaker 2: a team.
- 34:00Speaker 4: If we just spent every bench, every kid who doesn't
- 34:03Speaker 4: have the quote unquote talent as a you know who
- 34:05Speaker 4: knows they're probably under ten. You're saying youth sports are
- 34:08Speaker 4: probably under ten. They're gonna be bench their whole life
- 34:10Speaker 4: and never know what they can do.
- 34:11Speaker 2: You're gonna take this kid and it's little Timmy is
- 34:14Speaker 2: gonna hate soccer now because you don't put him in
- 34:16Speaker 2: until the last thirty seconds of the game.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Well, little Timmy can practice on his own while we're winning.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Oh, but if I'm paying you to be on this team,
- 34:24Speaker 4: I need you to teach my kid. I need my
- 34:26Speaker 4: kid to have some experience versus riding the bench all
- 34:29Speaker 4: season because he's not good.
- 34:30Speaker 2: And maybe he does practice and he's just trying to ride,
- 34:32Speaker 2: but he's still come.
- 34:33Speaker 1: On, Yeah, I mean when my kids. Listen, when my
- 34:35Speaker 1: kids played football, sometimes they didn't get they didn't get
- 34:39Speaker 1: to start, but they went home to practice or whatever.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Then the coach played them at the end of the
- 34:44Speaker 1: game and I was like, what, coach, what do we
- 34:46Speaker 1: gotta do to you know, to start? He was like,
- 34:49Speaker 1: I just need him to work on this, this, this
- 34:50Speaker 1: and that, and then guess what. He turned it around.
- 34:53Speaker 1: The next year he started you see what I'm saying,
- 34:55Speaker 1: and we won. Now Brendan is good.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I do see. That's important part of it. But
- 35:01Speaker 2: until the meantime, did you expect him to play when
- 35:04Speaker 2: he wasn't quote unquote good? No, Like you didn't expect
- 35:07Speaker 2: him to play?
- 35:07Speaker 1: No, I don't get I don't I don't deal with that.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So he could.
- 35:11Speaker 1: His mom was like, that's not fair. I'm like, no,
- 35:13Speaker 1: he needs to work at his craft, get back there,
- 35:16Speaker 1: come back next year.
- 35:16Speaker 2: It's not the NFL. To me, it is no, I'm sorry,
- 35:21Speaker 2: I'm just.
- 35:21Speaker 4: Like that coordinating youth sports for so many reasons.
- 35:25Speaker 1: It's not just this, but letting everybody get a turn. Okay, yeah,
- 35:29Speaker 1: well they're little, Well they're little.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, we're not gonna agree. It doesn't matter
- 35:33Speaker 2: what we think. Candas Court, you're the judge. Yeah, you're
- 35:37Speaker 2: the only sane one in this room.
- 35:38Speaker 4: That's a totally different topic than we're talking about this
- 35:40Speaker 4: Candis Court. But for for this case, look, I think
- 35:43Speaker 4: this guy was guilty of being a sideline. Sam. It
- 35:47Speaker 4: can't it's not fair to let your kid only play
- 35:50Speaker 4: a few minutes. Don't be extra fair. Just be as
- 35:52Speaker 4: fair as you've been all season. You sound like a
- 35:54Speaker 4: reasonable person, and I respect that you're trying to be
- 35:57Speaker 4: fair and make an impression on the other parents. So
- 35:59Speaker 4: let them know. Everybody's gonna get to play, but we're
- 36:01Speaker 4: lost because of you know, you're being an extra fairs.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I would agree, all right, he's guilty of being as
- 36:07Speaker 2: sideline Sam. Benjamin Billy's.
- 36:11Speaker 3: It's Top Stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid
- 36:14Speaker 3: in the.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Morning only on the new mix one or two point nine.
- 36:17Speaker 2: You got a lot going on this morning at Nidos
- 36:19Speaker 2: and Mystery Dumplings. Everybody wants those. We're doing them an
- 36:22Speaker 2: eight thirty no matter what. Hey, yeah, we're gonna do
- 36:24Speaker 2: a little tradio radio either way, that don't happen eight
- 36:26Speaker 2: to thirty. Everybody wants these toys. People stand in line
- 36:29Speaker 2: for hours. We're doing this all week long, So hook
- 36:32Speaker 2: that up. Candice Lopes, what is going on?
- 36:34Speaker 4: Well, Forny ID is part of a multi agency investigation
- 36:37Speaker 4: stemming from misconduct allegation. So this is happening at Crosby
- 36:41Speaker 4: Elementary School. The principal, a teacher, and a number of teachers'
- 36:45Speaker 4: aides were let go and will not be returning. So
- 36:48Speaker 4: the district is saying that the teacher in question was
- 36:51Speaker 4: hired back in October under a name with a clean
- 36:54Speaker 4: background check, but they later learned that he had legally
- 36:57Speaker 4: changed his name before being hired by FOURIGND. He was
- 37:01Speaker 4: facing charges under that previous name. Now he was acquitted
- 37:05Speaker 4: of those charges in that case. But one parent is
- 37:08Speaker 4: saying that that's because the child involved was nonverbal and
- 37:11Speaker 4: that family later moved away and never testified. But this
- 37:15Speaker 4: is all under investigation by forty police, CPS and the state.
- 37:20Speaker 4: They haven't released specific details, but families involved have been
- 37:23Speaker 4: contacted directly. But I'm hearing that it could be up
- 37:26Speaker 4: to nine students that were involved. I believe this was
- 37:30Speaker 4: a first grade special ed teacher. There were aids and
- 37:34Speaker 4: other staff who possibly witnessed the misconduct. It didn't report
- 37:37Speaker 4: it immediately, and that's why they were removed over the weekend. Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 4: just a developing story there, but it's just really disheartening,
- 37:45Speaker 4: really infuriating for parents and families, of course, but.
- 37:48Speaker 2: We don't know what the misconduct was just yet, right,
- 37:50Speaker 2: all right, Well, you know what, you deserve a special place,
- 37:54Speaker 2: you know where if you mess with kids.
- 37:55Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred percent. We got to protect our kids.
- 37:57Speaker 4: So I'll keep you posted on any devil developments. Also,
- 38:00Speaker 4: Spirit Airlines shut down services Saturday morning at abruptly canceled service.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Seventeen thousand workers did lose their jobs. That's unfortunate, but
- 38:10Speaker 4: people are left stranded, you know, book these flights and
- 38:13Speaker 4: then suddenly the airline doesn't exist.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Happen to my friend literally in New Orleans. First time
- 38:17Speaker 2: he's ever booked, ever booked Spirit because our other friend
- 38:21Speaker 2: was like, do it never let me down? Which he's
- 38:23Speaker 2: a liar because it's let me down. He knew it
- 38:25Speaker 2: let me down. Yeah, he's in New Orleans. All of
- 38:27Speaker 2: a sudden, he gets a little on message like, oh,
- 38:29Speaker 2: by the way, we're out of business. Good luck at home.
- 38:31Speaker 4: Right, that's awful.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and I do feel bad for everyone
- 38:35Speaker 2: losing their jobs, but I'm sorry, I don't care if
- 38:37Speaker 2: they've never had a crash. Somebody said, well they've never
- 38:39Speaker 2: had a crash, Okay, we shouldn't. I'm sorry.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that should be for all airlines they.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I had the worst experience on Spirit ever, I mean
- 38:47Speaker 2: the worst. The person talked to me like I was
- 38:50Speaker 2: an idiot. Oh, it's the rude I mean rude. Yeah.
- 38:55Speaker 2: So you know, listen, I mean there's a reason you
- 38:59Speaker 2: can get sixty dollars flights. Yeah, and it's not paying
- 39:03Speaker 2: off and the model's not working.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely not. I mean as of May twenty twenty four,
- 39:07Speaker 4: they operated just over three percent of domestic flights, and
- 39:10Speaker 4: this month that number could be as low as one percent,
- 39:13Speaker 4: and now obviously zero.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 4: There's this whole movement online though, for Americans to buy
- 39:18Speaker 4: the airline. Did you see this, Let's buy Spirit air
- 39:21Speaker 4: dot com. They're saying the website right, the website crashed
- 39:26Speaker 4: because so many people were on there, so pledges are
- 39:28Speaker 4: down at the moment. But they say there's been eighty
- 39:31Speaker 4: eight million dollars pledged already, which it's.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Finely hard to wait. They'll do that with something that
- 39:36Speaker 2: really matters, like right world hunger here, homelessness or yea veterans,
- 39:41Speaker 2: not Spirit Airlines. Like I said, I feel bad for
- 39:43Speaker 2: anyone who lost their job. I really do.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I do too.
- 39:46Speaker 5: What.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Yeah, it's nice to see the other airlines stepping up
- 39:49Speaker 4: to and you know, offering to help. So yeah, don't
- 39:53Speaker 4: see that coming back. But you know, stranger things have
- 39:55Speaker 4: happened real quick, guys. Tonight is the met Gala. It
- 39:58Speaker 4: happens the first Monday in May every year at New
- 40:01Speaker 4: York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme this year is
- 40:05Speaker 4: Costume Art. The dress code is Fashion is Art. Yeah.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Co chairs this year Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour, and
- 40:12Speaker 4: Venus William So this is really a high profile fundraiser
- 40:15Speaker 4: slash fashion show. The red carpet is going to be
- 40:19Speaker 4: stacked though Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Mary Kate, Nashley Olsen,
- 40:24Speaker 4: some of the cast members of K Pop Demon Hunters
- 40:26Speaker 4: are expected to be on that carpet, as well as
- 40:28Speaker 4: Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitt.
- 40:29Speaker 2: It's just Halloween for rich people. Yeah, it's Halloween for
- 40:34Speaker 2: rich people. I'm not gonna get negative on it. Because
- 40:36Speaker 2: somebody was like, Billy's stop being grumpy today.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot of money for that's.
- 40:40Speaker 2: All the matters. They're raising money for charity. But it's
- 40:43Speaker 2: just rich people dressing up and doing rich people things.
- 40:45Speaker 4: So you're not going to be watching the live stream tonight.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Let me tell you something I'd rather watch. Pooh take
- 40:50Speaker 2: a bubble bath. Oh wait, okay, okay, maybe.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Not that's going on tonight.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I can tell you the bubble bath.
- 40:59Speaker 4: No, no, I don't know anything about whose bathing schedules.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I don't think he takes baths, showers, showers only showers only.
- 41:08Speaker 2: You never take a nice bath.
- 41:10Speaker 1: No, I don't like baths at all.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Okay, all right, glad we learned that today. Yeah, I'm Candoslopez.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Those are your Texas tob story.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Good morning, it's bailing the kid Candas Lopez is to
- 41:21Speaker 2: your producer, Pooh is here, Mundane is Mondane hard. Monday
- 41:27Speaker 2: is very mondayish because what we've been so excited to
- 41:30Speaker 2: give away these needles and mystery dumplings. So excited. Thank
- 41:33Speaker 2: you to our boy Danny Uh from Clausania, which he's
- 41:37Speaker 2: just been awesome to us everything that's hot. It's like, hey,
- 41:40Speaker 2: we need some booboos. Let's hook you up. We need
- 41:43Speaker 2: some needos. People are waiting in our long lines, I
- 41:46Speaker 2: mean hours an hour, spending one hundreds of dollars on
- 41:48Speaker 2: these toys because the kids want them, you know, and
- 41:50Speaker 2: the things you do for your kids, right, So we're
- 41:52Speaker 2: gonna give them away. So we're doing tradio radio, right,
- 41:55Speaker 2: We're gonna see what we can get for anido or
- 41:58Speaker 2: a mystery dumpling, a little trade your radio so you
- 42:00Speaker 2: can trade us anything you want, right anything. Last time
- 42:04Speaker 2: we did this, we did it for concert tickets. Guess
- 42:06Speaker 2: what we got. We got a live goat.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Studio.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I've been so excited all weekend. I can't wait to
- 42:12Speaker 2: do this. We get in here today and the request
- 42:14Speaker 2: lines aren't working.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Yeah, how do.
- 42:17Speaker 2: We have an update? Pooh? I can't let's go to
- 42:19Speaker 2: our correspondent. Pooh, correspondent, Pooh, what's it look like?
- 42:22Speaker 1: That is still on it?
- 42:24Speaker 2: He said, he's just Brad, that's the ITU tech guy.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Oh it is yeah, Oh thanks Brad.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Yeah, he remotely logged in. He's trying to figure out
- 42:34Speaker 1: why they're still a delay coming back to here.
- 42:36Speaker 2: So pooh, are they working?
- 42:37Speaker 1: No?
- 42:38Speaker 2: Not yet. So the one time I need the request
- 42:40Speaker 2: lines to work.
- 42:41Speaker 4: I think you can call because people are calling, right,
- 42:43Speaker 4: it's just we can't hear it.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yeah, people right right, exactly answer and I can. I
- 42:48Speaker 1: heard him at first, and then I didn't hear him again.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Can you hear me now?
- 42:55Speaker 2: I'm trying not to get frustrated. Yeah, but our request
- 42:58Speaker 2: lines are working about as good as Spirit Airline. I
- 43:01Speaker 2: think actually Spirit runs our IT department. What is going on?
- 43:07Speaker 2: My gosh, I'm trying not to be frustrated. Ye, I'm
- 43:10Speaker 2: really trying not to. We do a live show that
- 43:12Speaker 2: we put a lot into. Yeah, how the one time
- 43:15Speaker 2: everything has worked for months? Nothing's the one day I'm like,
- 43:19Speaker 2: this is it. We're gonna do tradio radio. Not one
- 43:22Speaker 2: line is working? You want? Should I give out whose
- 43:25Speaker 2: cell phone number?
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 43:29Speaker 2: All right, So this is what we're gonna do. You
- 43:30Speaker 2: know what I could see here. I could complain all day,
- 43:32Speaker 2: but the bottom line is it's not gonna fix anything.
- 43:35Speaker 4: There's a human in the next room though, sweet news.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Yeah you're a remote worker.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, somebody just walked in.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Okay, awesome, perfect, that's a good sign for humans here.
- 43:45Speaker 2: But we're not done. This is what we're gonna do
- 43:47Speaker 2: on Instagram. Go to Mix one O two NINEFM at
- 43:50Speaker 2: Mixed one of two NINEFM on Instagram. We're gonna post
- 43:53Speaker 2: something right now. Why don't you just tell us? People
- 43:56Speaker 2: are already starting to DMI.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Yeah, James just hit me up.
- 43:58Speaker 2: What's James willing to try?
- 44:00Speaker 4: Yeah, he says, I need one of those needs. I'll
- 44:02Speaker 4: trade a Texas Rangers replica Championship ring.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Whoa, that's cool? Well like mark it down, mark it down,
- 44:10Speaker 2: Texas Rangers Replica Championship ring.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I like that.
- 44:15Speaker 2: So should that be in the lead right now?
- 44:16Speaker 4: Oh okay, take it to the game this weekend.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I'm checking the Instagram right now. Maria in forty said,
- 44:21Speaker 2: forget a goat, I actually have a cappy barra. Whoa,
- 44:27Speaker 2: no way, hell a cappy. What does he do? This
- 44:30Speaker 2: is a bit my son. Remember Okay, yeah, all right,
- 44:35Speaker 2: that's a live animal. Mark that down. That's for anido
- 44:39Speaker 2: at Mix one O two nine FM. At Mix one
- 44:42Speaker 2: two nine FM. What else do we got? What do
- 44:44Speaker 2: we need?
- 44:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a good question. Well I said, maybe you know,
- 44:47Speaker 4: we should take up a new you know, hobby like golf.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Maybe we could do some golf clubs.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Okay, that are a golf cart.
- 44:54Speaker 4: It would be nice coming in.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Right now at Mix one nine FM. At Mix one
- 44:58Speaker 2: O two nine FM, I did get one for I
- 45:01Speaker 2: have a big wheel. Somebody said they have a big wheel.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Oh that's interesting. I like the idea of a big wheel.

- 45:17Speaker 4: like an above ground pool. We could have a pool
- 45:18Speaker 4: party out front the radio station.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Now, Rachel in four Worth says, I will trade you
- 45:25Speaker 2: an hour and a half long massage.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Whoa, that's nice, like for each of us.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Oh, let me ask you.
- 45:32Speaker 4: I have to split it.
- 45:33Speaker 2: An hour and a half long massage? Is that for
- 45:35Speaker 2: all three of us or do we have to share?
- 45:37Speaker 2: That would be about thirty minutes. You know what, I
- 45:40Speaker 2: don't like massages. I hate massages.
- 45:42Speaker 4: Your thirty minutes?
- 45:43Speaker 2: Do you want my thirty minutes?
- 45:44Speaker 4: Yeah, give me your thirty minutes.
- 45:46Speaker 2: But what do I get out of this?
- 45:48Speaker 4: You get to I don't know, you get to be
- 45:51Speaker 4: quiet time by yourself in the other room.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I think I'd rather have a copy bar. All right,
- 45:57Speaker 2: thank you.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Rachel wants to trade her Stanley Stanley.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Yes, we have fourteen of them over here. Okay, this
- 46:04Speaker 2: is already Kennas has thirteen Stanley's. Yeah, okay, oh okay,
- 46:11Speaker 2: I don't. Renee said she would trade fresh homemade to Molly's.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Okay, girl, Oh.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Like that hold up fresh homemade to Molly's. It depends
- 46:22Speaker 2: on where can we get them, Like, let me see,
- 46:25Speaker 2: let me see where she's from, because I don't trust
- 46:27Speaker 2: everybody's cooking. Hold on, let me type back. Do you
- 46:29Speaker 2: have cats?
- 46:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 46:30Speaker 2: Because pots cats? Do you have cats to Molly's for sure? No,
- 46:37Speaker 2: she's typing dots. No she does not have cats. Okay okay.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Oh and she's from Grand Prairie.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Oh GP.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's that's what we got so far. At
- 46:49Speaker 2: Mixed one of two nine FM, we're doing radio radio

- 46:58Speaker 4: can trade a brand new kid bike.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't want to teach you.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. This person said, I'll give you my house. Matthew.
- 47:06Speaker 2: What are you doing, Matthew? What kind of house?
- 47:08Speaker 4: Yeah, let's see what town you're for sure?
- 47:12Speaker 2: Okay, well, either way, keep them coming at Mix one
- 47:14Speaker 2: o two nine FM. We're getting some good stuff. This
- 47:17Speaker 2: is gonna be good. We're not done. Keep them coming.

- 47:24Speaker 3: Stories on the tents with Billy the Kid in the.
- 47:26Speaker 5: Morning only on the new Mix one or two point nine.

- 47:43Speaker 2: do text to stop story. Some of the good, good
- 47:46Speaker 2: trades are coming in. Yeah, round of golf at Pecan
- 47:48Speaker 2: Hollow with me. Oh, I think that's Rye Boosey. His
- 47:53Speaker 2: name is. That could be good.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Arianna said you would trade her brother. Oh my gosh,
- 48:00Speaker 2: Liz Bones. Liz said out signed MAVs player Jersey from
- 48:03Speaker 2: Sean Marion. Oh like that. Stephanie said, free tickets to
- 48:08Speaker 2: Plant Bingo hosted by Social Greenhouse.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Oh that sounds fun I'm talking about planning Bingo.
- 48:14Speaker 2: You know what's funny is I knew I knew Cannas
- 48:16Speaker 2: is gonna.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Get real quick.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Yeah, todays Plant Bingo. Elizabeth said that she would trade
- 48:22Speaker 2: the penny her daughter swallowed. It's the most expensive penny ever.
- 48:27Speaker 2: So they must have got it out.
- 48:29Speaker 4: We could have that twenty thousand dollars, she said. It
- 48:31Speaker 4: costs what yeah, get it? Yeah, to get it out?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Can't you just I don't know.
- 48:37Speaker 4: You must have had some kind of procedure.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Wow, Okay, well, you know what, we'll put that in
- 48:42Speaker 2: the running. We'll pick it before the show's over. So
- 48:44Speaker 2: you got time at MIXEO two nine fm on Instagram
- 48:47Speaker 2: at mix one of two nine fm. Canis what's going on?
- 48:49Speaker 5: Well?
- 48:49Speaker 4: The votes were counted in this weekend's election. Dart services
- 48:52Speaker 4: will be coming to an end in Highland Park this month.
- 48:55Speaker 4: They will continue in Addison and University Park. So, you know,
- 48:59Speaker 4: Plano announced their intention to leave this alliance, saying it's
- 49:03Speaker 4: tax contributions weren't worth the benefits to residents. While Plano,
- 49:06Speaker 4: Farmers Branch and Irving initially had those elections planned, but
- 49:10Speaker 4: canceled them after renegotiating their agreements. Highland Park though voting
- 49:15Speaker 4: not to continue. So buses will stop operating through Highland Park,
- 49:20Speaker 4: but will They'll go through Highland Park, but we won't
- 49:22Speaker 4: stop in Highland Park.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Kale.
- 49:24Speaker 2: It's kind of like me, Yeah, you can go through,
- 49:26Speaker 2: but you can't stop because if you're not just rich enough,
- 49:29Speaker 2: you actually get kicked out immediately.
- 49:33Speaker 4: This is expected to take effect May fifteenth. And if
- 49:36Speaker 4: you haven't heard about this, McDonald's is quietly getting rid
- 49:39Speaker 4: of their self serve soda fountains. So their plan is
- 49:42Speaker 4: to completely get rid of these by twenty thirty two.
- 49:46Speaker 4: That would mean that they are only behind the counter.
- 49:48Speaker 4: So they're saying this will help modernize restaurants, reduce maintenance
- 49:52Speaker 4: and labor demands, and really you know, help them adapt
- 49:54Speaker 4: to the demand for drive through delivery. And takeout, which
- 49:58Speaker 4: is you know a lot of people.
- 49:58Speaker 2: These days, you're trying to give thing automated. But then
- 50:01Speaker 2: I have to give my cup to an employee right
- 50:03Speaker 2: to go fill it up.
- 50:04Speaker 4: That's so confusing because we only have the Kiosks at
- 50:07Speaker 4: the one by my house. Like to get a human
- 50:09Speaker 4: there at the counter, is it takes a while?
- 50:11Speaker 2: You got you gotta hit the bell, yeah, yell to
- 50:13Speaker 2: get a human yep. And then I got to get
- 50:15Speaker 2: a refill that we just leave the machines out right.
- 50:17Speaker 4: Yeah. They say this would give them more control of
- 50:20Speaker 4: proportion sizes, cleanliness and inventory and you know, stop people
- 50:23Speaker 4: from taking their water cup and putting soda in it.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Did you see what the New Zealand McDonald's is doing. No,
- 50:29Speaker 2: they're coming out with a mc mullet cheeseburger.
- 50:31Speaker 4: What is that?
- 50:33Speaker 2: I'm not this not a joke. The mcmullet cheeseburger, one
- 50:37Speaker 2: slice of cheese hangs off in the back, no to
- 50:40Speaker 2: where it looks like a mullet. And they're really doing
- 50:45Speaker 2: it to just cause a little social viral moment okay,
- 50:48Speaker 2: where the cheeseburger has a mullet. Okay, yeah, well bring
- 50:51Speaker 2: that to mesquite.
- 50:52Speaker 4: Make your own, Yeah for sure, real quick, guys. Post
- 50:56Speaker 4: Malone canceled the start of his upcoming tour six a
- 50:59Speaker 4: show we're part of this, including his shows here in Texas.
- 51:03Speaker 4: That tour is now going to kick off June twelfth
- 51:06Speaker 4: in Indianapolis. So he's saying he needs more time to
- 51:08Speaker 4: finish his double album before this tour starts. You know,
- 51:11Speaker 4: a lot of people have been saying this could have
- 51:14Speaker 4: something to do with low ticket sales, which we've been
- 51:16Speaker 4: hearing for weeks. Half these stadiums, you know, are not
- 51:20Speaker 4: sold yet.
- 51:21Speaker 2: I know see people online going, oh, it's low ticket
- 51:23Speaker 2: sales and kind of making fun of him. I'm like, well,
- 51:25Speaker 2: even if it is, it's not his fault. No, if anything,
- 51:28Speaker 2: it's like, well, people don't have disposable income right now
- 51:30Speaker 2: when gas is seventeen dollars a gallon.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yeah, we're about to hit a record and.
- 51:34Speaker 2: I'm not gonna go all the way to Waco and
- 51:36Speaker 2: spend all this money to go see him.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 51:38Speaker 2: It's tough right now for people to just throw away.
- 51:41Speaker 2: And concerts are expensive, they are.
- 51:42Speaker 4: Some of these shows. We're even offering discounted tickets recently.
- 51:47Speaker 4: But he says you know, he promised the new music,
- 51:49Speaker 4: doesn't have time to finish it, so he's just not
- 51:51Speaker 4: ready to tour. So we'll push it back three weeks.
- 51:53Speaker 4: That'll help him get the music done. So I'm looking
- 51:56Speaker 4: forward to the new music either way, I know.
- 51:57Speaker 2: And when you're an artist, you don't want to go
- 51:59Speaker 2: from stadium to a arenas. But to me, there's nothing
- 52:01Speaker 2: wrong with that.
- 52:02Speaker 4: No, I'd be happy with it.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Do it arena showing, dickies, do it American Airlines one
- 52:07Speaker 2: hundred both, I'd.
- 52:08Speaker 4: Go, yes, I would too. All Right, I'm Knaslopez. Those
- 52:11Speaker 4: are your Texas Top stories of comments. You'll feel better.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I need a drink?
- 52:21Speaker 4: Right?
- 52:22Speaker 2: Is that my dirty Little Secret? I'm drinking right now.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. Let's not do that, all right, Dirty
- 52:25Speaker 2: Little Secret eight three three seven eight seven one o
- 52:27Speaker 2: two nine. Usually you can call us where they're working
- 52:30Speaker 2: on the request lines right now or Instagram. Either way,
- 52:32Speaker 2: tell us your secret. Go ahead and confess.
- 52:35Speaker 6: I do. I I've been going back and forth on
- 52:38Speaker 6: calling you guys, but I really don't have anyone to
- 52:40Speaker 6: talk to about this.
- 52:41Speaker 2: So well, that's what we're here for. Where it's a
- 52:44Speaker 2: non judgment zone. What is going on in your world?
- 52:46Speaker 6: Well, I've been married, and we've only been married a
- 52:49Speaker 6: couple of years, so it's still pretty new. And from
- 52:53Speaker 6: the beginning, we both wanted the same thing, like a
- 52:56Speaker 6: family with kids, you know, a big house full of noise,
- 52:59Speaker 6: and that was all always a part of the plan
- 53:01Speaker 6: for both of us. And because it hadn't worked out
- 53:04Speaker 6: that way, we've been trying and trying and trying, and
- 53:09Speaker 6: nothing has happened. And at first I thought it was me,
- 53:13Speaker 6: so I got tested and I went through all the emotions,
- 53:16Speaker 6: like something's wrong with my body. I'm like broken, I'm
- 53:19Speaker 6: something's not happening right. And then we found out it's
- 53:23Speaker 6: not me, it's him.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Oh okay.
- 53:26Speaker 6: And I don't even think he realizes how much that
- 53:28Speaker 6: changed everything for me. And I tried to be supportive
- 53:31Speaker 6: and I love him. I love him so much and
- 53:33Speaker 6: he's a good man, he's a good husband, and it's
- 53:35Speaker 6: not his fault. But I feel like, ever since I
- 53:38Speaker 6: found out, like there's this big weight on me and
- 53:41Speaker 6: I can't shake it. And I've always pictured myself as
- 53:44Speaker 6: a mom. I've always wanted kids, I wanted that life
- 53:48Speaker 6: with my husband to have my kids in my house,
- 53:50Speaker 6: and so it's just like this can't happen.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Now.
- 53:56Speaker 2: I know it's a lot of emotions, but and I'm
- 53:59Speaker 2: not saying this the same but I know there's other
- 54:02Speaker 2: you know, there's adoption, there's other things that you could do.
- 54:07Speaker 6: My friends. Yes, I mean we've discussed adoption. I'm not
- 54:10Speaker 6: against it. I'm not. But if I'm being completely honest,
- 54:13Speaker 6: I don't know if I'll feel the same way. Yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 6: And I feel awful saying that, but that's how I feel.
- 54:19Speaker 6: And I can't deny that I feel that way. And
- 54:23Speaker 6: this is a part of like what makes me feel
- 54:25Speaker 6: like I might be the worst wife in the world
- 54:27Speaker 6: or worst person in the world. And I just know
- 54:30Speaker 6: that I know myself and i'd be lying if if,
- 54:33Speaker 6: like if I say this is okay, because like I said,
- 54:36Speaker 6: this has always been my dream. And I have thought
- 54:40Speaker 6: about leaving him. Oh and I haven't said it, and
- 54:45Speaker 6: I haven't even come close because I love him and
- 54:47Speaker 6: it's like not his fault, but it's it's crossed my
- 54:50Speaker 6: mind that maybe I should move on.
- 54:52Speaker 2: But I'm like, hold on, hold on, So you're thinking
- 54:54Speaker 2: about actually leap okay, And I'm not it's a non
- 54:58Speaker 2: judgment zone. You're thinking about leaving him over.
- 55:01Speaker 6: This, Well, I do want to have kids of my own,
- 55:05Speaker 6: and I don't know what else to do because I
- 55:08Speaker 6: do love him and I love the life that we're
- 55:09Speaker 6: building together. But it's not working out, and I just
- 55:13Speaker 6: feel like it's flipping away what I wanted.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I mean, is it not working out? Or is this
- 55:20Speaker 2: the plan? The bigger plan that you know? Sometimes you
- 55:23Speaker 2: just can't control these things. And obviously it's not his fault.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I can't tell you what's right or wrong. There's a
- 55:28Speaker 2: difference between going, oh, you know what, I can't. I
- 55:31Speaker 2: can't say this has never crossed my mind and I'm
- 55:35Speaker 2: actually going to do this. Yeah, there's two different things. So,
- 55:39Speaker 2: I mean, I guess it just depends on you. If
- 55:41Speaker 2: you love them. I just feel like there's no way
- 55:43Speaker 2: you can leave them over this.
- 55:45Speaker 6: I don't feel like I can leave them either. But
- 55:47Speaker 6: I'm just like hurting myself, and I'm like, how do
- 55:49Speaker 6: I agree without hurting him? So I'm just keeping everything
- 55:52Speaker 6: to myself.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Have you two talked about it, maybe possibly doing counseling
- 55:56Speaker 2: or something like that together, because this is a big deal.
- 55:58Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't hold it in, but also sharing that
- 56:01Speaker 4: with him is going to just break his heart even worse.
- 56:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess we will have to go to counseling
- 56:07Speaker 6: because I don't know what to do from here, because
- 56:09Speaker 6: I'm just questioning everything and feeling like a terrible person because.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Think about it, you le Let's say you know you've
- 56:15Speaker 2: thought about it, You leave him, you get with somebody else,
- 56:18Speaker 2: you have kids, you think years down the road, you're
- 56:22Speaker 2: not going to look back and go I mean, yeah,
- 56:24Speaker 2: I'm glad i'm a mom, but I can't believe I
- 56:26Speaker 2: left a man that I love right and love because
- 56:30Speaker 2: of something that he can't control.
- 56:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:32Speaker 2: If this were switched around and it was a man
- 56:35Speaker 2: calling up and saying I'm leaving my wife because she
- 56:37Speaker 2: can't have kids, I think people would be in an
- 56:40Speaker 2: uproar and everybody feels different now that you're saying it, right,
- 56:45Speaker 2: And I don't think you're a bad person. I'm just
- 56:46Speaker 2: saying I would really talk to somebody before you let
- 56:49Speaker 2: that thought get out of control or take over.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Your moment, the process, you're how you're feeling, before you
- 56:55Speaker 4: just jump and make some type of decision that you
- 56:57Speaker 4: can't turn back, you know, because he's.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Going through all this too. Yeah, he probably feels so
- 57:02Speaker 2: guilty and evasculated.
- 57:04Speaker 6: Like, you know, it's just horrible. I wish that things
- 57:08Speaker 6: were different, but they're not, so I have to just
- 57:10Speaker 6: face what we have going on.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Well, and some people would be, you know, take the
- 57:15Speaker 4: route of this just wasn't meant to be. It wasn't
- 57:17Speaker 4: meant for me to have kids.
- 57:19Speaker 5: You know.
- 57:19Speaker 4: It's a tough pill to swallow, it is when you've
- 57:22Speaker 4: dreamed of that.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know so many people, so many people go,
- 57:27Speaker 2: especially women. They feel like their main reason they're here
- 57:31Speaker 2: is to be a mom. So if that can't happen,
- 57:34Speaker 2: I get why you feel like there's a big part
- 57:36Speaker 2: of you missing for.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Sure, but you definitely can't. You guys can't work through
- 57:40Speaker 4: this on your own. I would definitely seek professional help
- 57:43Speaker 4: do that.
- 57:44Speaker 6: Thank you, Thank you so much, all right,
