- 0:05Speaker 1: You know, its.
- 0:26Speaker 2: The god.
- 0:26Speaker 3: We need to come up with like an actual intro,
- 0:28Speaker 3: like pre recorded intro or something.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, versary for the Orlando Paul's Club incident.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, it's like what yesterday, It was like yesterday. Yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 3: it's like I remember it happened on a Saturday night
- 0:52Speaker 3: on let me go back, go to June twenty sixteen. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 3: it was on a was on June eleventh. I think
- 1:03Speaker 3: June eleventh happened either June eleventh or June twelve, because
- 1:05Speaker 3: I remember I was out that day that night too.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I was not that far from it. I'd say, hey,
- 1:11Speaker 3: let's keep doing the whole like what Trixie and Katy
- 1:14Speaker 3: the thing where they would like come on with like
- 1:17Speaker 3: something random about but no, we don't want to like
- 1:20Speaker 3: do that too much.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I did it.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I did that last time just because it was funny.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I'm the only good thing that comes out of Texas
- 1:31Speaker 3: Steers and Queers.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Jacob Hi, I'm a top tier fagot, top shelf fagot, Devin,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and that's a and.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I'm and I'm a bargain market faggot. It's on the
- 1:52Speaker 3: bottom shelf, which is completely role reversal because he's shorter
- 1:56Speaker 3: than me, and I'm the tall one, and he can
- 1:59Speaker 3: clearly reached the top shelf. And he's the kind of
- 2:01Speaker 3: person that would need to ask me to reach the
- 2:03Speaker 3: top shelf for him.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm not that short, Okay, I'm like five, I'm like
- 2:11Speaker 1: five six Okay, yeah, okay, fye, I'm short. Okay, God,
- 2:21Speaker 1: oh fucking you ain't it here? Yeah?
- 2:25Speaker 3: You you would need help reaching this top shelf.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That's so rude, and yet's so true because I can't
- 2:33Speaker 1: reach the top shell because I got stubby little ards.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's ubby little legs. I'm a hobbit. Okay, I'm a hobbit. Hi,
- 2:43Speaker 1: what could the book watchers where I'm tired, I'm tired
- 2:46Speaker 1: of this ship.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Welcome actual book watchers for them, where the stories are
- 2:52Speaker 5: made up and the movies don't matter, or the stories
- 2:55Speaker 5: are made up and the books don't matter.
- 2:56Speaker 3: We're watching the movies anyway.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Girl.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We haven't watched the move, we haven't talk Bob movie
- 3:00Speaker 1: at ages.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 3:04Speaker 3: You know what that should be our intro, just like, hey,
- 3:05Speaker 3: welcome back to book watchers, where the stories are made
- 3:07Speaker 3: up and the books don't matter. If we're watching the
- 3:09Speaker 3: movie anyway.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Even though we haven't talked about a movie in like
- 3:11Speaker 1: a year, I know, because well we pretty much ran
- 3:14Speaker 1: out of like we did.
- 3:17Speaker 4: We did well.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Actually, the next I think after we're done with some
- 3:19Speaker 3: Pride stuff, we can go ahead and review The Relic
- 3:22Speaker 3: because that one has a movie adaptation. Yeah, you would
- 3:26Speaker 3: have to rent the movie off of Prime. I could
- 3:29Speaker 3: do that because it's not you can't watch it anywhere now.
- 3:33Speaker 3: He used to be on Prime. But like uh.
- 3:37Speaker 6: Yeah, and yes, the Relic is a part of a
- 3:41Speaker 6: long anthology series around the FBI agent name like Pendergas.
- 3:48Speaker 3: So like there are twenty two novels.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Did you know this faget over here? He doesn't go
- 3:56Speaker 1: small on his series. He picks the largest fucking series. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: he's a size queen, the.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Queen h G.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, okay, gay gay, Yeah, So we can talk
- 4:21Speaker 1: about The Relic. I'll watch the movie, not read the book.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I never finished the book. I never finished into it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: It's fine, like well, because it's like it's a mystery.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's a suspense. It's like a supernatural thriller mystery. And
- 4:39Speaker 3: like I read it and I was like I dig this,
- 4:42Speaker 3: I actually I dig it. It's different and it's it's
- 4:45Speaker 3: a different challenge. So I decided to give it a
- 4:47Speaker 3: shot and I read that one. I read its sequel, Reliquary,
- 4:52Speaker 3: and now I am reading Cabinet of Curiosities.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You fucking degenerate. You're on books read and I'm.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I want to read book four next after this one.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I got started on this one, but I was also like, okay,
- 5:07Speaker 3: well when I because like, since I have the hard
- 5:09Speaker 3: copy right here whenever I'm not at home and I'm bored,
- 5:12Speaker 3: I want to be able to read something. So I
- 5:15Speaker 3: have a different book series on my phone, and I
- 5:19Speaker 3: started reading that one, and I'm like, oh, I actually
- 5:22Speaker 3: just want to just read this for now. Take a
- 5:23Speaker 3: break from the Pendergast stuff, because like the because the
- 5:27Speaker 3: pender Guest novels. There's twenty two books in that series. Yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 3: Like the last one just came out last year, and
- 5:35Speaker 3: it's written by two authors, so it's like co authors
- 5:39Speaker 3: writing it. So it's Douglas. It's by Douglas Preston and
- 5:43Speaker 3: Lincoln Child. So they've been writing this book series for
- 5:48Speaker 3: a good minute, like since then the late nineties. The
- 5:51Speaker 3: first one I think came out the really came out
- 5:53Speaker 3: in ninety seven. I think, so almost thirty years they've
- 5:56Speaker 3: been writing this book series together. And I'm like, and
- 5:59Speaker 3: it's still on owing because it's it's just an anthology series.
- 6:04Speaker 3: The only connecting, the only character that really connects the
- 6:08Speaker 3: stories together is Agent pender Gas. And I can't remember
- 6:12Speaker 3: if pender Gas was in the movie or not. I
- 6:15Speaker 3: think he was, But like Pendergas himself is a pretty
- 6:21Speaker 3: eccentric character because he's an FBI agent, but he's also
- 6:24Speaker 3: like he comes from money and he's considered he's considered
- 6:28Speaker 3: a polymath, so he has like he has many different
- 6:32Speaker 3: areas of expertise more outside of just investigation and criminology.
- 6:38Speaker 3: He's also like, uh, well versed in like in the sciences, biology, anthropology,
- 6:45Speaker 3: all that he has so many different he has so
- 6:46Speaker 3: many different areas of study that he can talk to.
- 6:49Speaker 3: He could pretty much talk to anybody about any subjects
- 6:53Speaker 3: ten And that's how he tends to like us. He
- 6:56Speaker 3: tends to get people to lower their guard because like
- 6:58Speaker 3: they think, like, oh, he's just another roof, doesn't know
- 7:01Speaker 3: what the hell I'm they're talking about, and then Pendergass
- 7:03Speaker 3: is like like oh yes, and talks about like something
- 7:06Speaker 3: like very niche subject that this one person dedicated their
- 7:11Speaker 3: life to studying and they're all like I feel seen,
- 7:14Speaker 3: but they're like scene scene indication of validation.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But yeah, we'll talk about the relic at the end
- 7:25Speaker 1: after Pride. So happy Pride, Happy Pride. I work at
- 7:31Speaker 1: laf Faggot's work at If you don't like to worry fraggot,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not calling you a faget then, but like,
- 7:37Speaker 1: take about the word, babes, take about the word.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I'm over here, like I don't really like I do't
- 7:42Speaker 3: haven't been feeling like I've been getting into the pride spirit.
- 7:44Speaker 3: But that's because, like I am, the only pride thing
- 7:47Speaker 3: I'm gonna be doing this month is the Pride Parade
- 7:50Speaker 3: on the twenty eighth, and that's about it.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, I'm not feeling very pride to
- 7:59Speaker 1: you this this month for some I mean, I know
- 8:01Speaker 1: the reason, but I'm not really want to get into
- 8:03Speaker 1: that on the pod. There's a lot going on in
- 8:06Speaker 1: this world. It's something very pridy. So butter course, we
- 8:14Speaker 1: gotta keep going. I mean, nothing's gonna stop us. Gaze.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I ain't going anywhere.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Now, we're still here always you don't like it, Okay.
- 8:29Speaker 1: The doors, the door is there, Bitch.
- 8:33Speaker 5: You don't like how we do things here, you're free
- 8:34Speaker 5: to leave exactly exactly, like, let me.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Say something we're not forcing if you like tuned in.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I just want to say, if you tuned into this
- 8:43Speaker 3: podcast thinking like you're gonna it's gonna be a classy
- 8:46Speaker 3: podcast where we talk about books, you're only half right.
- 8:54Speaker 1: We're not classy.
- 8:57Speaker 3: We read No, we read books.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm classy, No, I'm not. I'm a gooder goblin. I'm
- 9:02Speaker 1: a goutder little lupper con that's reads. That's gonna talk
- 9:07Speaker 1: about smut today. So I have a fucking goutder goblin.
- 9:12Speaker 5: The talk.
- 9:14Speaker 3: None whatsoever mm hmm. Any the accusations have been made
- 9:23Speaker 3: and they have been proven factual and substantiated.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Period. So in the description below, I mean, you know
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's there. The Leak League, three other podcasts, YouTube, go
- 9:37Speaker 1: do all that have fun, All that stuff is there
- 9:40Speaker 1: as per fucking usual that get into the gay shit.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So of course with Pride, we were gonna have four episodes,
- 9:50Speaker 1: but somebody decided would take a break. I'm kidding, kidding,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Want to somebody over here deleted one of the episodes
- 9:57Speaker 3: we already recorded.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So okay, I I thought we were doing the whole
- 10:03Speaker 1: don't blame me. Let's get my fault. Okay, it's partially
- 10:06Speaker 1: my fault, but it's not one hundred percent my fault.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Okay anyway, but.
- 10:14Speaker 3: No, for real though, we uh, I mean, even though
- 10:17Speaker 3: it's pride and we're trying to get into the pride spirit,
- 10:19Speaker 3: you know, we got lives and lives and also you know,
- 10:23Speaker 3: just some of us need like we we have to
- 10:26Speaker 3: take care of ourselves, babe. We got to take care
- 10:28Speaker 3: of ourselves.
- 10:29Speaker 4: We got some.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Of us see your best friends like every other like
- 10:33Speaker 1: every week, and our booze like every week. So there's
- 10:36Speaker 1: like there's gonna be some days with that I want
- 10:37Speaker 1: to see no one mm hmmm.
- 10:40Speaker 3: All the last ride though, the day that I took
- 10:42Speaker 3: off for myself, I didn't really get much of much
- 10:44Speaker 3: time to myself because even though like I'm like, I
- 10:47Speaker 3: just need a day for myself. So I like, even
- 10:49Speaker 3: though I took a break from y'all, like from the
- 10:51Speaker 3: podcasts and from y'all just for that one day, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 3: it's suddenly like oh other people, Oh you know oh
- 11:00Speaker 3: wanted me, wanted my attention and wanted me to like
- 11:03Speaker 3: drive him everywhere. And I was just like, yeah, what
- 11:08Speaker 3: it worked out because I was gonna be seeing like
- 11:10Speaker 3: I just want to take like like I already knew,
- 11:12Speaker 3: like I was gonna be seeing my boyfriends later in
- 11:15Speaker 3: the day, so like around the time that he certain
- 11:19Speaker 3: somebody wanted me to drive him some all over the place,
- 11:21Speaker 3: It's gonna be the same time I was gonna be
- 11:23Speaker 3: leaving anyway, So I was like to do it well,
- 11:27Speaker 3: going in another room, so I kind of help help
- 11:31Speaker 3: feel like I need a chance to like do this
- 11:33Speaker 3: shit I wanted to do. Yeah.
- 11:37Speaker 1: So anyway, onto the smut. So today is my turn
- 11:48Speaker 1: for my pick stuff for Pride. And I mean I'm
- 11:55Speaker 1: not saying I'm a faggot, but I'm a fagot. So
- 11:59Speaker 1: I really been getting into yeah have We Mama for
- 12:03Speaker 1: the last couple of years, like really hardcore, hardcore into it.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And so now I read smutt. It's great, it's great,
- 12:12Speaker 1: it's great, it's great. No problem here, No problem here.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I never said this was a kid's podcast. You're under eighteen,
- 12:18Speaker 1: Please don't go listen to this podcast. Don't listen to
- 12:20Speaker 1: this episode in particular. Okay, because I'm much of mama,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I'm uch a daddy, but I don't want to scar you.
- 12:28Speaker 1: This is a gay smutt. So we're gonna talk about
- 12:30Speaker 1: some yeah we did, and not some normal typical Yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 1: we were talking about like, Wow, I'm really not gonna
- 12:40Speaker 1: be the allegations of monsterfucker.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You never could be.
- 12:45Speaker 1: This is this is some demon ex human or demon
- 12:51Speaker 1: on demon Smart. We're gonna do it. So today I'm
- 13:00Speaker 1: and we talking about the book series. Oh god, what's
- 13:03Speaker 1: the author's name? Come on, I shul have this. Yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 1: it's together. Then you know what, eat my butt?
- 13:11Speaker 3: No, that's your boyfriend's job is my boyfriends?
- 13:15Speaker 1: So I'm talking about Magic Madic by Ryu Suzu. This
- 13:25Speaker 1: god damn it.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Okay, put it in the text, like, put it in
- 13:29Speaker 3: the chat and I will read it to you Ryu Suzuri.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I think that's how you say it. We'll see. Yeah
- 13:39Speaker 1: it's s u z U r e Zuri. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that's right. So yeah, we're talking about that today and
- 13:49Speaker 1: it's a three issue a three three issue three volume. Yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 1: uh Smart, Demon's Hell The Underworld, The Hierarchy of the Underworld,
- 14:02Speaker 1: the nobles, commoners, magic. It's fun. It's not for kids
- 14:10Speaker 1: if you're under eighteen. No, No, So getting into it,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna go over the main plots, not every single
- 14:19Speaker 1: little detail, just kind of a broad stroke since I'm
- 14:21Speaker 1: talking about all three volumes here. So Volume one starts
- 14:25Speaker 1: off with a uh, he's coming to it. You get
- 14:31Speaker 1: introduced to a man, to a young man named Markodo,
- 14:37Speaker 1: and he is in the process of summoning a demon
- 14:42Speaker 1: because he's into black magic, arc magic. So he somes
- 14:47Speaker 1: the demon and he some's a demon named j Now.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Jay is a very flamboyant demon, flamboyant body, long, luscious hair, horns,
- 15:01Speaker 1: wings on how this side animal legs like a cat
- 15:06Speaker 1: or a goat? I can't. I think it's a goat
- 15:09Speaker 1: gilt legs, and he looks like half human half animal,
- 15:13Speaker 1: but he's full on demon. And they make a contract,
- 15:19Speaker 1: a deal with of course, Makodo seals the deal that
- 15:25Speaker 1: he was making with this demon with his blood, and
- 15:29Speaker 1: the deal was this is where's don't get very questionable,
- 15:33Speaker 1: very quick. So Makoto has a has urges of cannibalism,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but in a very sexual sense. And I'm just like yeah. Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So his goal is for the next month, he wants
- 15:55Speaker 1: he devours the demon, he eats him, and he he
- 16:00Speaker 1: focks his body parts. Yeah yeah. And the reason why
- 16:07Speaker 1: he does this is because he doesn't want to do
- 16:08Speaker 1: this to actual people of course, So he's like, I'm
- 16:11Speaker 1: want to do it with a demon because I don't
- 16:15Speaker 1: want to do that with an actual person. Stay with me,
- 16:25Speaker 1: Stay with me, Stay with me, stay with me.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I'm still here. I'm just like this is like, oh,
- 16:36Speaker 3: there was like a little demon monster that there was
- 16:40Speaker 3: this demon monster that like beheads this lady and just
- 16:43Speaker 3: sucks her corpse, Like oh my god. Yeah. Yeah, this
- 16:47Speaker 3: is berserk energy right here, but full on yawi.
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So, over the course of the month, this guy Makoto
- 16:54Speaker 1: eats him from like legs up, devours his body, eats
- 16:59Speaker 1: it raw, and then of course has sex with his
- 17:04Speaker 1: body parts and testines skulls. It's weird. And when he
- 17:09Speaker 1: gets down to the last little bit of eating the
- 17:13Speaker 1: rest of that demon, the demon comes back and he
- 17:21Speaker 1: cuts his head off, cuts Makodo's head off and takes
- 17:23Speaker 1: him the hell and kills him. Kills him. So his
- 17:28Speaker 1: parents find him with his head decapitated, surrounded by a
- 17:31Speaker 1: bunch of demonology shit, and people think he's like a
- 17:36Speaker 1: weirdo serial killer. I mean, I mean, I'm not saying
- 17:42Speaker 1: that they are right, but like they're kind of right.
- 17:44Speaker 1: He just didn't hurt anybody, so yeah, once he was satisfied,
- 17:50Speaker 1: that's when the deal was made and he was killed,
- 17:52Speaker 1: head chopped off and brought to Hell. And now Mikado
- 17:57Speaker 1: is Makodo. Sorry, Maokodo is now just a talking head
- 18:02Speaker 1: until Jay gets my body demon body, so he ends
- 18:07Speaker 1: up finding a body. Of course, this is after Makoto.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Mikado is toly flabbergasted the fact that he's in Hell,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and he's like, I don't want to bucking be here,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and there's a lot of I mean, you know, I
- 18:27Speaker 1: already talked about how he had sex with a disembodied demon,
- 18:30Speaker 1: so you know, the demon has sex with his head,
- 18:33Speaker 1: so you know, whatever, right, So eventually he does get
- 18:38Speaker 1: a body, and he sews his head onto Jay, sows
- 18:41Speaker 1: his head onto said body, and Jay takes him to
- 18:52Speaker 1: his castle and he intends to have Mikado as his helper.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It's like a little servant, his little pet, and he
- 19:00Speaker 1: Mikado considers his new home along with the extravagant meal
- 19:04Speaker 1: in a warm bed. So he gets taken care of
- 19:06Speaker 1: pretty good. I mean, he's just a servant boy, and
- 19:10Speaker 1: he receives, I mean here receives. He kind has a
- 19:21Speaker 1: relationship with Jay throughout the without this whole book obviously,
- 19:27Speaker 1: so but he's well taken care of, and then he
- 19:29Speaker 1: starts learning about the world of hell and how there's
- 19:32Speaker 1: a hierarchy, how names mean everything. Jay's real name is
- 19:37Speaker 1: just is something else, but you can't say it unless
- 19:40Speaker 1: you're at his level. Otherwise, if a demon at a
- 19:43Speaker 1: lower level says a demon's full name that's a higher
- 19:45Speaker 1: level higher up on the chain, he will crack and
- 19:49Speaker 1: die and disintegrate into nothing and go into the abyss
- 19:55Speaker 1: and just never come back. Because demons can die and
- 19:57Speaker 1: come back. But if you try to say a noble
- 20:00Speaker 1: a noble's name, you will die and you will not
- 20:05Speaker 1: read it.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Ooh, that is not demure.
- 20:08Speaker 1: That's not demure. And of course if somebody forgets your name,
- 20:12Speaker 1: or if nobody remembers what your name is, you will
- 20:15Speaker 1: also die. So you're also gonna need see is the
- 20:20Speaker 1: whole balancing act of names, of trying to keep yourself
- 20:24Speaker 1: alive in how so no one forgets your name. So
- 20:28Speaker 1: someone forgets your name, you also die and whither away
- 20:31Speaker 1: to nothing. It's quite the hierarchy scale in this series
- 20:36Speaker 1: is probably, in my opinion, the most interesting part of
- 20:40Speaker 1: this book. Sure, the smut's there, but the smut's not
- 20:44Speaker 1: really fun smut. It's like, oh, that's grotesque, but that's
- 20:48Speaker 1: the whole point of the main characters that is grotesque.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So from there, Makoto uh ends up getting a job
- 21:03Speaker 1: at a brothel and hell, and of course there's brothels
- 21:06Speaker 1: along over the place. So Jay is like, hey, you
- 21:10Speaker 1: want you need a part time job. You need to
- 21:12Speaker 1: learn some of the ins and outs of hell. Yo,
- 21:15Speaker 1: we're gonna send you over to a brothel and you're
- 21:17Speaker 1: gonna work a part time job over there.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Baby.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So he meets I'm gonna call him D because I'm
- 21:25Speaker 1: not gonna say I'm not gonna try to say his
- 21:27Speaker 1: full name. His full name looks. That didn't that didn't show.
- 21:33Speaker 1: So it looks more. His name looks more Chinese than Japanese,
- 21:36Speaker 1: because I mean, he's aesthetic. So he ends up working
- 21:39Speaker 1: for this demon that's a has a head of his
- 21:41Speaker 1: head's a flower it's kind of cool. And he's a
- 21:45Speaker 1: he's the he's the owner of the brothel and he
- 21:47Speaker 1: runs the joint. So from there, Micono learns the manner
- 21:54Speaker 1: how to how the hierarchy of Hell works. While in
- 21:59Speaker 1: the ends and out to this brothel, he learns how
- 22:01Speaker 1: the society works in this brothel as well as he
- 22:05Speaker 1: takes on customers in this brothel. And these demons aren't nice.
- 22:13Speaker 1: They're gay, they're vulgar, and they're violent, and I'm just like, oh, oh,
- 22:20Speaker 1: not demure, not mindful. That's not demure. That's not mindful.
- 22:27Speaker 1: So from there so he starts learning that. So the
- 22:38Speaker 1: demon that he d that he's working with, he explains
- 22:41Speaker 1: that the higher ranking demons are collectively skillful in words.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Wordplay is big in this series, and in order to
- 22:50Speaker 1: torment another's heart using their tongue, they use language that
- 22:54Speaker 1: would put them on a superior footing. So the ones
- 23:00Speaker 1: to have a good command of words dominate in Hell.
- 23:05Speaker 1: So if you know your words and how to use them,
- 23:10Speaker 1: you're the big cheese, which I find quite interesting. Again,
- 23:16Speaker 1: the best part of the series is just the world
- 23:18Speaker 1: of Hell and how they and how Ryo Ryu describes it.
- 23:25Speaker 1: So from there to judge, Oh, this is when Marcado
- 23:37Speaker 1: figures out, learns a little bit more, learns a little
- 23:41Speaker 1: more about Ja. So he learns that Jay also had
- 23:45Speaker 1: a master once upon time, and Jay was in the
- 23:49Speaker 1: slums of Hell and a demon, higher level demon, came
- 23:53Speaker 1: up and took him in under his wing. The higher
- 23:56Speaker 1: level demon was a werewolf, a wolfman. There's a whole
- 24:02Speaker 1: tribe of wolfmen, of were wolves and Hell. And I'm
- 24:06Speaker 1: just like, I'm reading this, and I'm like and I'm like,
- 24:10Speaker 1: fucking Jacob, Jacob, like fucking Jacob the fuck And I'm like,
- 24:19Speaker 1: of course, oh you go.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Read me like that. You don't got to read me
- 24:22Speaker 3: like that. I wasn't even in the room.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Oh no, you weren't. You weren't even into my vicinity.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And I'm just like, fucking Jacob, if you haven't noticed
- 24:32Speaker 1: slaves and gentlemen. He likes werewolf, Yes I do, Yeah,
- 24:38Speaker 1: he sure do, he sure do. Look at that face
- 24:41Speaker 1: that screams of werewolf.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Okay, just because just because an American were wolf in
- 24:47Speaker 3: London was my true gay weight kintting, doesn't mean you
- 24:50Speaker 3: gotta read me like that because.
- 24:51Speaker 1: That movie is so gay anyway, you want to listen,
- 24:56Speaker 1: you want to listen to me rant on how how
- 24:58Speaker 1: that movie is gay? Listen to the episode of Spoogogulibs
- 25:01Speaker 1: on American World in London that we did.
- 25:03Speaker 3: It's that was the one have you like before you
- 25:06Speaker 3: watched it with me? It was like, have you ever
- 25:07Speaker 3: watched that movie before?
- 25:09Speaker 5: No?
- 25:09Speaker 3: Right, I don't think so, yeah, because I was the
- 25:13Speaker 3: one who introduced it to you and you were just like, oh, oh.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Oh, he's in love with his best friend. He's bisexual.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Anyway, I don't totally agree with that. There's some there,
- 25:30Speaker 5: but like tension mm hmm. All right, anyway, so there's
- 25:39Speaker 5: werelves in the hell?
- 25:40Speaker 1: You say, yes, there arelves in hell? So Jay was
- 25:43Speaker 1: taken in by God?
- 25:44Speaker 2: What the hell?
- 25:48Speaker 1: I know, I'm getting a little ahead of myself. I'm
- 25:49Speaker 1: gonna try to find the guy's name. W was his name?
- 25:55Speaker 1: W yes, w was his w was the name that
- 25:58Speaker 1: lower demons called him. But he was a werewolf that
- 26:01Speaker 1: ripped his own skin off, so he was had like
- 26:03Speaker 1: a skull face. Yeah, yeah, it's great, it's great. And
- 26:11Speaker 1: he was infatuated with Jay and he took him in
- 26:14Speaker 1: from the slums. Because Jay was a sex worker. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 1: He's like, uh, you're going mahold on me, and I'm
- 26:24Speaker 1: going to teach you and take care of you and
- 26:26Speaker 1: get you an education. And I got you back. And
- 26:30Speaker 1: then of course Jake ate him and killed him.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Not the werewolf daddy.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He uh uh huh, he sure did he sure did so.
- 26:41Speaker 1: In this brothel, uh, Makodo also meets Jorde or Jorde,
- 26:49Speaker 1: which is a very a demon that is a entertainer
- 26:55Speaker 1: as well.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Not Godzilla, not god I'll trying to like just suddenly like.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Oh, becomes friends with George and he stays at the brothel.
- 27:10Speaker 1: So we jumped the second volume. I mean, that's pretty
- 27:12Speaker 1: much it. He he makes deal with the demon, eats him,
- 27:15Speaker 1: goes the hell, becomes a demon's pet, and his goal
- 27:21Speaker 1: is to become a demon himself. And from there he
- 27:25Speaker 1: goes to the works of the brothel, learns about demons
- 27:29Speaker 1: and how things work down in the underworld, and he
- 27:34Speaker 1: started to stay there for three years at the brothel.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's where we end off in volume one, Volume two.
- 27:41Speaker 1: He comes home after his three years, and by this
- 27:45Speaker 1: point Mikado has gone up and drink his best friend
- 27:54Speaker 1: can't say his full name anymore, or his boss actually
- 27:58Speaker 1: couldn't either, like the person he was working for couldn't
- 28:01Speaker 1: say his name, and I'm like ooh.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Ooh.
- 28:07Speaker 1: So by this point, Makado starts having these urges of
- 28:14Speaker 1: wanting revenge, wanting to kill Jed, take his spot, take
- 28:18Speaker 1: everything he had, or screwing him over and throwing him
- 28:21Speaker 1: in hell as he sees as he says, so he was.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Three years have passed since Makodo has arrived, and he's
- 28:31Speaker 1: only been in contact with J via letters. One mentions
- 28:36Speaker 1: how Makodo made the decision on his own will and
- 28:40Speaker 1: served out his apprenticeship, with d having informed him about
- 28:45Speaker 1: his results. J arrives himself, arrives to retrieve Makoto and
- 28:52Speaker 1: bring him home, and of course d is is able
- 28:58Speaker 1: to say his name, but Jay thinks he has not
- 29:03Speaker 1: realized Makoda has reached his level, so so he's able
- 29:08Speaker 1: to still say his name. But Jay's like, a ha,
- 29:11Speaker 1: but gods, you're on the same level now, oh wow,
- 29:19Speaker 1: oh wow. Today Jay mentions that Makota does not have
- 29:25Speaker 1: to oh force himself to act like a demon, and
- 29:28Speaker 1: also as he himself is not going to suddenly grab
- 29:31Speaker 1: an eat him so there's a lot of tension going
- 29:34Speaker 1: on between Jay and obviously they right at home and
- 29:38Speaker 1: he h oh. So when he gets home, Jay has
- 29:47Speaker 1: a job for him to retrieve a human soul, which
- 29:51Speaker 1: is the foundation of even work. When you retrieve a soul,
- 29:54Speaker 1: you get some gold and that's currency and hell. So,
- 30:00Speaker 1: hearing out the demands, Jay's like, hey, there's an old
- 30:04Speaker 1: man that there's the soul that you're gonna have to get,
- 30:06Speaker 1: and it's gonna be easy for you. All you have
- 30:08Speaker 1: to do is just walk in your presence. There is
- 30:13Speaker 1: gonna be more than enough and you could take the
- 30:14Speaker 1: soul and come back. And he's like, cool, bet So
- 30:18Speaker 1: what does he do? He goes and he sees his
- 30:22Speaker 1: father is thirty years later. His father's an old man
- 30:28Speaker 1: and his father is sees him and is disgusted and
- 30:34Speaker 1: starts stabbing the shit out of him because of what
- 30:39Speaker 1: he how he died and we and the rumors that
- 30:42Speaker 1: started afterward. It ruined his life and he wanted to
- 30:47Speaker 1: get revenge on that, and his dad took a big
- 30:53Speaker 1: old knife and stabbed his ass. And obviously Makodo was traumatized.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Obviously he was like he was not expecting it. Jay's
- 31:06Speaker 1: been talking to his dad for quite some time, and
- 31:08Speaker 1: that was the last thing, the cherry on top for
- 31:10Speaker 1: the ceiling. The deal was to see his son and yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: got a little few gold pieces, cool nuggets out of it,
- 31:17Speaker 1: and he sipt back and it just it was not
- 31:23Speaker 1: a happy sight. And by this point that's when Makodo
- 31:27Speaker 1: was like, I'm going to kill j So what does
- 31:32Speaker 1: he do? He decides to do some digging. He decides
- 31:37Speaker 1: to go back, go to the werewolves, goes to the slums,
- 31:41Speaker 1: figure out where he came from, finds his brother, find
- 31:45Speaker 1: Jay's brother, Jay's brother, Jay's brother. I think his name
- 31:50Speaker 1: is Kay. He's a demon that has how do I descrimp?
- 32:06Speaker 1: He has a pair of tits knockers they had dick.
- 32:15Speaker 1: He's male, but he has tits. Is what now like
- 32:20Speaker 1: Jay's brother? Oh, Jay's brother is a hot is another
- 32:25Speaker 1: powerful demon that Makoda comes across, and the difference between
- 32:29Speaker 1: him and I'm like, oh cool, he has a sister.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Wait wait that's his brother. Huge tits, huge tits, And
- 32:37Speaker 1: I'm like, what the fuck? An's a man. He's naked.
- 32:41Speaker 1: You see him naked, a big old date like like
- 32:45Speaker 1: oohm on the table, and I'm just like, I mean,
- 32:49Speaker 1: I guess there's a little hoole hermaphrodite thing on how
- 32:52Speaker 1: some demons are illustrated like that. I mean, if you
- 32:55Speaker 1: watch Dobleman Cry Baby, Lucifer has dick and tits as well,
- 32:59Speaker 1: so angels demons, so I'm not surprised that it's her
- 33:04Speaker 1: that's very hermaphrodite ish. So cool, and I was just like, oh, okay,
- 33:10Speaker 1: tit's great. And then they decide to finds his brother.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Brother joins his joins him to try to take down Jay,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and they're like, cool, let's go visit the werewolves. It
- 33:28Speaker 1: doesn't really go that well, and they're like, why the
- 33:31Speaker 1: fuck are you here? We don't want you here. You're
- 33:35Speaker 1: the last person that wants to be here. He killed
- 33:38Speaker 1: w and he was stooping around and the mansion looks
- 33:44Speaker 1: exactly like Jay's. Like Jay just copied the mansion, the
- 33:48Speaker 1: manchion and everything and then just copy and paste.
- 33:54Speaker 3: From there.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And Makodo he was trying to find some way to
- 34:02Speaker 1: get under J's skin because Jay was not phased by anything.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And that's so and that's the trick to be a
- 34:08Speaker 1: demon is to get under their skin and he couldn't.
- 34:11Speaker 1: She's like, cool, let me figure out, let me, let
- 34:13Speaker 1: me go do some digging. He finds W's journal and
- 34:18Speaker 1: as they're heading out, they come across W's ghost. He's like,
- 34:23Speaker 1: is uh oh what they call it? Revenant remnant of himself?
- 34:30Speaker 1: A rage filled goes that almost kills them. His ghost
- 34:35Speaker 1: will haunts that hantstop players. I mean I would too
- 34:39Speaker 1: if he was trying to kill me. So from there
- 34:45Speaker 1: he oh, also in this world where was there poisonous?
- 34:54Speaker 3: Ah? That sucks?
- 34:55Speaker 1: Yeah, they're poisonous?
- 34:58Speaker 3: So what like like as in and if so what
- 35:01Speaker 3: if they like exchange bodily fluids and in certain unfully acts.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Or what?
- 35:09Speaker 1: Let me think the difference between poison and venom.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Well, poison is if you ingest it, it's gonna you'll
- 35:17Speaker 3: it's gonna kill you. Venom is if it's injected into you,
- 35:21Speaker 3: like through the bloodstream. Yeah, then it's gonna kill you.
- 35:24Speaker 3: So like snakes are venomous, toads are poisonous.
- 35:30Speaker 1: So if a demon so if a where will bite
- 35:32Speaker 1: you poisonous?
- 35:34Speaker 3: No, No, it's venice. If it bites you is if
- 35:37Speaker 3: it if it bites you when you die, it's venomous.
- 35:40Speaker 3: If you bite it and you die poisonous.
- 35:45Speaker 1: That's a good way to think about it. That's a
- 35:46Speaker 1: good way to think about it. But yeah, apparently where
- 35:48Speaker 1: was the poisonous?
- 35:49Speaker 3: So wait, does that mean that Chuck Norris is poisonous then?
- 35:53Speaker 3: Because he got bit by King Kobra one time and
- 35:56Speaker 3: after five excruciating days of pain, the cobra died. That
- 36:08Speaker 3: is a throwback right there. That's like an.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Oh my god, you're so white. You're whiter than me.
- 36:15Speaker 1: And I grew up watching Chuck Norris Walker.
- 36:19Speaker 3: I didn't even watch Walker Texas Ranger, and I know, like, no,
- 36:24Speaker 3: I only know these jokes because because my brother loved
- 36:27Speaker 3: those two cast jokes.
- 36:30Speaker 1: God, So what am I recording?
- 36:39Speaker 3: Okay, I am better be recording.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I'm like, am I recording? Yes? I am the double check, it's.
- 36:50Speaker 3: It's gonna be. What's the what is the one that
- 36:53Speaker 3: we recorded that you deleted?
- 36:55Speaker 1: It was it was It sounds like.
- 37:00Speaker 3: It was Zalem's No, it was Lightning Struck Heart.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Oh that too the first time.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it was gonna be like bitch.
- 37:09Speaker 1: So once Makodo finds W's journal, uh, they get a
- 37:15Speaker 1: battleances blah, blah blah. The point is Ka looses his body,
- 37:20Speaker 1: Makodo rips off his wings, puts him onto himself, and
- 37:23Speaker 1: takes Jay's brother's head and keeps it with him. Now
- 37:29Speaker 1: k is a walking talking head, a talking head. He's
- 37:33Speaker 1: missing his lower jaw, and shit, it's so yeah, Darling
- 37:41Speaker 1: takes his wings, rips him right off his body, and
- 37:43Speaker 1: puts him on himself. How very demon are you?
- 37:49Speaker 3: Well, I mean it's ergonomic, very modular.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Yeah. So now Makodo has some nice looking wings. So
- 38:00Speaker 1: from there, when he goes back, he starts reading into
- 38:04Speaker 1: W's journal and oh oh yill ll ill, yill, not
- 38:11Speaker 1: this there we go. So when we go, when he
- 38:17Speaker 1: goes back, he's reading he studies the journal, trying to
- 38:21Speaker 1: figure out find a weakness, Jay's weakness. He finds out
- 38:25Speaker 1: that D has so okay, So from this point he's
- 38:30Speaker 1: been gone for quite some time. When he comes back,
- 38:33Speaker 1: he's doing research with the journal to find Jay's weakness.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He always also finds out that D, his boss at
- 38:39Speaker 1: the brothel, lost his spot, and now he became a
- 38:43Speaker 1: top tier worker worker there, sex worker. He's literally just
- 38:53Speaker 1: being used.
- 38:54Speaker 3: As an.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Use your imagination. It's not it's not a fun time
- 38:58Speaker 1: for him, and Joe take took a spot as the
- 39:02Speaker 1: head of the brothel, and now D is like the
- 39:05Speaker 1: top tier person people are going there for, and I
- 39:11Speaker 1: feel bad for D. It's it's it's not fun. It's
- 39:14Speaker 1: not fun. Of course, it's demons, So when is it
- 39:17Speaker 1: ever going to be really fun? So A someone's railing
- 39:27Speaker 1: their roaring their engines.
- 39:30Speaker 3: Huh okay, so you sure have saw my brother because
- 39:34Speaker 3: he's snoring up the storm over here.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Oh no, it's not so. From there, he does come
- 39:41Speaker 1: across a more another higher level demon later on or
- 39:46Speaker 1: around this time. It's like a he's like a birdman
- 39:49Speaker 1: a crane, have a crane, and he has a thing
- 39:52Speaker 1: for D. So one of the things that Makado does
- 39:56Speaker 1: is he saves d from the brothel and he gives
- 40:00Speaker 1: them over to the demon that actually that cares about him.
- 40:03Speaker 1: So he actually does something kind of good. But he
- 40:06Speaker 1: does it for a price, obviously, because it's a demon.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Demons aren't just shit for free. So but they live
- 40:12Speaker 1: happily ever after his cue and then Markodo finds out.
- 40:24Speaker 5: Well.
- 40:25Speaker 1: First off, Macoe becomes m because he becomes a higher
- 40:28Speaker 1: rank and no one can say his name. So now
- 40:30Speaker 1: he's known as M because he's a higher level now,
- 40:35Speaker 1: but Jay is still higher than he is. Now many
- 40:37Speaker 1: people know Jay's name either, So Jay is slowly dwindling
- 40:41Speaker 1: into nothing at this point, he's dwindling into madness. So
- 40:46Speaker 1: when M macom M now, when he goes back to
- 40:50Speaker 1: the mansion, he notices the garden is not as vibrant
- 40:53Speaker 1: and beautiful as it once was, and he's like, oh wow,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Jay's magic is dwindling. And M knows Jay's name now,
- 41:08Speaker 1: he figured out his name, his real name. So the
- 41:13Speaker 1: final half of this book of the last volume is
- 41:16Speaker 1: basically M and J do a battle of control, if
- 41:23Speaker 1: you will. They're having sex and they're they're in love
- 41:30Speaker 1: with each other, but yet they hate each other. It's
- 41:32Speaker 1: a game of it's a weird game of control.
- 41:34Speaker 3: And and like.
- 41:42Speaker 1: M says Jay's name, his name is Jonathan, because of
- 41:48Speaker 1: course it is, so he says Jonathan, and he realizes
- 41:53Speaker 1: that he's higher than him now, yeah, and Jonathan uses
- 42:02Speaker 1: that against uses that against him, So they're all So
- 42:06Speaker 1: they're having some weird, funky sex battle of control and wit.
- 42:10Speaker 1: And at the end of it, Mac realizes that he
- 42:16Speaker 1: that he does love Jay for Jonathan, but Jonathan being Jonathan,
- 42:22Speaker 1: he's gotta get the one up, so he says, basically
- 42:26Speaker 1: tells He basically just tells them, even though I'm not here,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I'm still higher than you. You're still my plaything. I
- 42:34Speaker 1: won't sure, I'm not gonna be here, but I'm gonna win.
- 42:38Speaker 1: And he made him and basically m realize admits that
- 42:42Speaker 1: he that he's in love with them, and Jay's like,
- 42:44Speaker 1: oh great, great. He says his name, so Jonathan says
- 42:49Speaker 1: Marcodo and that's the last thing he sees is m
- 42:56Speaker 1: hearing his name, and Jonathan die because he breaks up
- 43:01Speaker 1: into little pieces because when you say it, even saying
- 43:04Speaker 1: that's a higher rank than you, you die or something
- 43:07Speaker 1: very horriful comes to you. But Jay, it was already
- 43:09Speaker 1: always last legs anyway, because people forgot his name, so
- 43:12Speaker 1: he says his name, has a last ditch effort to
- 43:15Speaker 1: still win. So what's left M And he's there and
- 43:22Speaker 1: he's pissed and he knows Jay just fucking won. He
- 43:27Speaker 1: won the battle of words, the battle of even though
- 43:31Speaker 1: he was a piece of shit, he made him fall
- 43:34Speaker 1: in love with him just to be like, fuck you,
- 43:36Speaker 1: and then died and m can't do shit about it.
- 43:42Speaker 1: It's like he got the last word, had the last
- 43:46Speaker 1: word and pieced out, and I'm just like, damn, damn, Makodo,
- 43:50Speaker 1: Jonathan got your ass, He got your ass, just ended,
- 43:55Speaker 1: and it's so cool and it's so good because the
- 43:57Speaker 1: last pandals him like Jonvin completly nude. They're having sex
- 44:01Speaker 1: and shit, he's like buck Hodow and has like a
- 44:04Speaker 1: devilish look on his face and he starts crumbling and
- 44:07Speaker 1: Emma's like, no, no, you can't leave me, you can't
- 44:12Speaker 1: lay me here. And I'm like, damn, he collected you'll ass.
- 44:19Speaker 1: He made you fall in love with him, just to
- 44:22Speaker 1: be like, bitch, you're still that little bitch and died
- 44:29Speaker 1: and that's where the book ends pretty much.
- 44:30Speaker 3: I'm just like, due, that's fucked up. That's that's some
- 44:35Speaker 3: berserk shit right there.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I is some berserk shit. The word play in this
- 44:39Speaker 1: series is a lot. It's I mean, it's a little confusing,
- 44:43Speaker 1: but like once you really get into it, it's it's great.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I love the hierarchy of hell in this world that
- 44:49Speaker 1: it creates. It's so cool and that's one of my
- 44:53Speaker 1: favorite things about it. Is how the hierarchy of Hell
- 44:57Speaker 1: is and how there are different demons, and the design
- 45:00Speaker 1: of the demons are cool too, Like I've used Jonathan's
- 45:04Speaker 1: design for one of the Remember the demon invo Aga,
- 45:10Speaker 1: Remember the demon that tama Ate. Oh god, that was
- 45:17Speaker 1: john That the character icon that I used was Jonathan.
- 45:20Speaker 1: That was Jonathan. That was Jonathan. Yeah, yep, yep, Jonathan.
- 45:25Speaker 1: He was a gluttony demon. Of course he was, because
- 45:29Speaker 1: of course, of course, that's when I first started reading it,
- 45:32Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh my god, I'm going to base
- 45:34Speaker 1: off one of these things off of that. Yes, cannibalism
- 45:42Speaker 1: and glutty, but yeah, that's the end of that smut.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Not the fun kind of smut, but fun world building.
- 45:52Speaker 1: It was fun. It was fun. If you want to
- 45:55Speaker 1: go read those three volumes, please do so. It's a
- 45:57Speaker 1: very short read, but they're really fun.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Then kind of borrow you.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I have some I have up here. I
- 46:07Speaker 1: had the physical copies. I also had digital because I
- 46:11Speaker 1: had to so you of course, of course.
- 46:14Speaker 3: They're gonna they gotta make it where you can like
- 46:16Speaker 3: download PDF copies or at least copies on like of
- 46:20Speaker 3: books that you buy digitally, so that way you can
- 46:23Speaker 3: share them, because well that's probably why they don't want
- 46:26Speaker 3: They don't want you to do that. But oh no,
- 46:28Speaker 3: we're gonna lose money, like who cares? Who cares? Bookstores
- 46:33Speaker 3: lost a lot of money because people would share their
- 46:35Speaker 3: books exactly like you know, like we should. It's our property,
- 46:40Speaker 3: so we should be able to share it however we want. Yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 3: because I bought the book, so I should be able
- 46:48Speaker 3: to share it with my friend if I want to.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Exactly exactly. So that's madic and nutshell pretty much a
- 46:59Speaker 1: game of the wordplay and demons trying to power over
- 47:04Speaker 1: each other with words and trying to find the weakness
- 47:10Speaker 1: and your enemy when in fact you're the weakness. And
- 47:14Speaker 1: you fall in love with him and he just like bitch,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and then dies and he just leaves you there knowing
- 47:20Speaker 1: that you love him and you'll never see him again
- 47:23Speaker 1: and he gets lost off. That's so fun. Fuck it's
- 47:28Speaker 1: so good, but so fucked. God there and the cycle.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Oh oh that's right, and the very end the cycle
- 47:36Speaker 1: happens again. M is going through the slums of Hell
- 47:39Speaker 1: and he finds another lower level demon and the slums
- 47:43Speaker 1: and takes him in under his wing. Does the same thing.
- 47:46Speaker 3: W D never learned his lesson.
- 47:50Speaker 1: And the cycle is gonna happen again. Oo w got
- 47:55Speaker 1: killed by his pro today and then M killed his
- 47:59Speaker 1: mentor like Jay did. So it's just gonna be an
- 48:02Speaker 1: infinite cycle. I mean, that's the world of demons for
- 48:04Speaker 1: you at least, and maddic.
- 48:06Speaker 3: So yeah, what can you do?
- 48:12Speaker 1: I mean you're in hell, so I mean you kinna
- 48:14Speaker 1: do something right, But yeah, that is maddic. So thank
- 48:19Speaker 1: you'all for listening to this episode. Catch next time as
- 48:21Speaker 1: you talk about another gay story.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Week remy reviewing conventionally Yours by Annabeth Albert.
- 48:31Speaker 1: What's her name right, eventually yours?
- 48:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a cute little gay novel. Uh, conventionally your yeah,
- 48:45Speaker 3: Annabeth Albert?
- 48:46Speaker 7: Sorry, yes, anath Albert wrote, she writes a lot of
- 48:53Speaker 7: gay novels, and yes some of them, a lot of
- 48:56Speaker 7: them are smut, but this one surprisingly wasn't smut and
- 49:01Speaker 7: it was actually really cute about two nerdy boys who.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Go to like co compete in a competition to win
- 49:09Speaker 3: like a cash prize. But and they have like a
- 49:12Speaker 3: bit of a journey together and they end up falling.
- 49:14Speaker 2: In love and now are just like about winning the
- 49:17Speaker 2: money because like one wants to win the money because
- 49:22Speaker 2: they're literally on the verge of becoming homeless, and the
- 49:25Speaker 2: other one wants to do it just to prove to
- 49:27Speaker 2: their very strict and demanding parents.
- 49:33Speaker 3: That they can do something on their own, that they
- 49:34Speaker 3: don't need to be like what their parents want them
- 49:37Speaker 3: to be things like that. So it's just like, I'm sorry,
- 49:42Speaker 3: I'm going to be like, you're the both of you.
- 49:44Speaker 4: You're cute, and I'm really shipping the two of you,
- 49:48Speaker 4: but I'm gonna like, I'm gonna be rooting for the
- 49:51Speaker 4: one that's literally about to go homeless because you know,
- 49:55Speaker 4: I mean, you got to.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Help a guy out. You come from a privileged life,
- 49:58Speaker 3: you can like, you'll you'll be fine, mhm, Like you'll
- 50:01Speaker 3: be fine, Mike, dude, you'll be fine, exactly. Yep.
- 50:05Speaker 1: We'll be talking about that next week.
- 50:08Speaker 7: Yeah yo.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Until then, bye bye, bye bye
