- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. One of the sectors of society that Jeffrey
- 0:08Epstein loved to infiltrate was academia, and it didn't matter
- 0:13if the school was on the East coast or the
- 0:16West coast, or anywhere in between. And we've talked a
- 0:20whole lot about Jeffrey Epstein and his Ivy League adventures
- 0:24at Harvard and Yale. But if you think it stopped there,
- 0:28you have not been paying attention, because now we have
- 0:32records showing us that Jeffrey Epstein was paying for students
- 0:37at Berkeley University as well, and not only that, one
- 0:40of the stipulations was that she had to find Jeffrey
- 0:44Epstein to quote unquote assistance, and considering who we're talking about,
- 0:50that seems to be a bit disturbing assistance. We all
- 0:55know what Jeffrey Epstein's assistants were expected to do. Now,
- 0:59to be clear, the person in this article that they're
- 1:02talking about never ended up being one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants,
- 1:05if you will, but instead somebody that seems like they
- 1:08got caught up in his web. So let's dive into
- 1:12this article from The Daily Californian and let's see what
- 1:16they have for us. Headline price to pay for Berkeley
- 1:20Jeffrey Epstein paid law students tuition in exchange for assistance.
- 1:26This article was authored by Ray Weimer, Eleanor Dalton, Hannah Camicker.
- 1:33Record show that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein funded as
- 1:37students you see Berkeley School of Law degree in return
- 1:40for referring female assistants. That is just nefarious as fuck.
- 1:46Like here, I'm gonna pay for you to go to school,
- 1:49but I need you to refer these women back to
- 1:51me that you meet on campus. That's part of it.
- 1:54And what did he need the women for? We all know,
- 1:57we all know what he needed the women for. And look,
- 2:00one of the main reasons we're even talking about this
- 2:02article is because it offers more proof of what Epstein
- 2:06was up to. This man was recruiting women everywhere he went,
- 2:10and once he got him into his web, the coercion
- 2:12began and it was rinse and repeat right. How many
- 2:15times throughout history did Jeffrey Epstein do this same exact scheme? Plenty,
- 2:20That's how many times Jeffrey Epstein paid Berkeley Law School
- 2:25one thousand dollars deposit in twenty sixteen, according to a
- 2:28March twenty second American Express credit card statement. The timing
- 2:33of the payment corresponds with several emails exchanged between Epstein
- 2:37and the law student. The pair communicated frequently from twenty
- 2:41fifteen to twenty nineteen, during which the student completed a
- 2:45Master of Laws from Berkeley's Law program and graduated in
- 2:49twenty seventeen. And do you think Jeffrey Epstein was doing
- 2:53that out of the kindness of his heart or did
- 2:56he have ulterior motives. He wasn't doing it because he
- 3:02was nice and he wanted this girl to succeed. He
- 3:05was doing it because he wanted something from this girl.
- 3:09And it looks like what he was trying to get
- 3:12along with whatever else was her to help him recruit
- 3:16other girls. And that was the Ponzi scheme Epstein was
- 3:18up to. He would coerce these women, get them here
- 3:23from other countries, get them involved in all kinds of
- 3:26immigration fraud, take their passports, put them in that building
- 3:31at E sixty six, and then make them do whatever
- 3:34he wanted. And we have heard that time and time
- 3:36again from multiple women. According to the emails. The student
- 3:44was already training to be a French barrister and was
- 3:48looking to work in the United States. The Master of
- 3:51Laws is intended to prepare international students for the fundamentals
- 3:55of US law practice, making them eligible for a US
- 3:58bar exam. So she was over here from France trying
- 4:03to get her stuff together and become a lawyer here
- 4:07in America, or at the very least be able to
- 4:09take the bar. And who was her benefactor, Well, none
- 4:13other than Jeffrey Epstein. And again do you think he
- 4:17was doing it out of the kindness of his heart?
- 4:19This man was as transactional as transactional could be. Everything
- 4:26had a price, especially human flesh. A few days prior
- 4:31to the payment, on March fifteenth, twenty sixteen, Epstein said
- 4:35that he would personally handle the one thousand dollars deposit.
- 4:38In the same email, Epstein expressed frustration that the student
- 4:42had not supplied him with assistants, insisting it was part
- 4:45of an understanding with the student when they asked for
- 4:48financial support. You know, I'm going to give you this dough,
- 4:52but I'm going to need you to bring some women
- 4:54into my web. Now. Of course, I'm sure that wasn't
- 4:58the conversation right. I'm sure Jeffrey Epstein was more convincing
- 5:03and probably pitched something different. But at the end of
- 5:07the day, that's the result, and that's what he wanted,
- 5:09and that's exactly how his operation functioned. It relied on
- 5:14women bringing other women into the spider's web, and it
- 5:18was the same strategy he used with the high school girls.
- 5:21But after he got mailed the first time, Epstein decided
- 5:23to flip the script a bit and start abusing girls
- 5:26from outside of the country. That's the real story. That's
- 5:31what he was doing. Now does that mean he wasn't
- 5:34abusing people in America. Of course not. He certainly was,
- 5:37but he wised up all these little girls he was
- 5:40bringing in from South America, from Eastern Europe. That was
- 5:45all by design, and it was designed to give him
- 5:48cover and to make sure that he didn't get nailed
- 5:51doing what he was doing. Now that you are a lawyer,
- 5:58I would have thought you recognized it had an agreement,
- 6:00had two sides, each with its own obligation, Epstein said
- 6:04in the email. The former student declined to comment after
- 6:08a request from The Daily Californian. See when people declined
- 6:12to comment it makes it worse for them. Now. Of course,
- 6:16this woman is probably somebody who was abused. Let's be honest. Okay,
- 6:21Epstein doesn't do anything for free, and maybe she doesn't
- 6:24want to come forward, she doesn't want to talk about
- 6:26it whatever. That is certainly her prerogative and nobody should
- 6:29force her to do so. But what I will say
- 6:32is this, it fits the pattern right. This is exactly
- 6:36the sort of shit Epstein was up to. Campus spokesperson
- 6:40Janet Gilmore said UC Berkeley could not comment on individual
- 6:44students due the federal privacy laws, but noted that many
- 6:48students have third party sponsors that pay for tuition and
- 6:51other fees across the campus academic programs, which are processed
- 6:56through the standard building procedure. I don't find anything wrong
- 6:59with that. If you have somebody you want to sponsor
- 7:02and help get through school, cool, But you should be
- 7:05doing it from a place of giving, right, not from
- 7:08a place of expectation, not from a place of I'm
- 7:12doing this for you, so I expect this from you.
- 7:15But in Epstein's world, we all know that the abuse
- 7:19was almost mandatory, and Epstein was so adept at doing
- 7:23it and normalizing it that some of these women didn't
- 7:26even realize they were being abused. Year's of correspondence with
- 7:33Epstein from twenty fifteen to twenty seventeen detail the student's
- 7:37application process, deferral, and attendance at Berkeley Law. Document showe
- 7:43Epstein provided financial support in exchange for recommendation of assistance
- 7:48referred to as girls. Oh, I'm sure. Emails included photos
- 7:53of candidates, their names, and descriptions of a number of
- 7:56girls from New York, Paris, Zurich, and mind that all
- 8:02tracks exactly what Epstein was looking for. Bring somebody over here,
- 8:08control their whole life, and then mold them. That's what
- 8:11he wanted to do, same thing he did with Naudio
- 8:14Right now. Some of these girls, these women were over age.
- 8:19There's no doubt about it. Epstein wasn't only trafficking young girls.
- 8:23That was what he liked. That was his proclivity. But
- 8:27if he can control somebody and get them as part
- 8:29of the operation, he's cool with that too. Their correspondence
- 8:36began in twenty eleven, but it was not until twenty
- 8:40fourteen that their emails first mentioned Berkeley Law. If your
- 8:44company could invest in my education at Berkeley we can
- 8:46make an agreement and I will work for one of
- 8:49your companies upon my completion, the student wrote in an
- 8:53email dated December twenty fourteen. Talk about walking into the
- 8:57mouth of the beast. Good lord, poor woman. In January
- 9:02twenty fifteen, the student asked for an official contract with
- 9:05Epstein that guaranteed a commitment of twenty five thousand dollars
- 9:09intuition payment from his foundation before applying to the program.
- 9:14I can work for you as a lawyer with pleasure
- 9:16after you know it, the student said in the January
- 9:19twenty fifteen email. Honestly, though, as bad as I feel
- 9:24for the student, she should have known better here. Epstein
- 9:27was already a convicted sex offender. You're not going to
- 9:30google your patron. You have no idea who he is. Look,
- 9:34there has to be some self responsibility in life, and
- 9:37you have to take ownership of the decisions you make.
- 9:41And if this woman led anybody into the clutches of
- 9:44Jeffrey Epstein, she should have to answer for it. Upon
- 9:51acceptance into the Master of Laws program, the student deferred
- 9:54their attendance for a year after a job offer from
- 9:57a Swiss bank. According to emails for to Epstein, between
- 10:01the student and the admissions manager at Berkeley Law. After
- 10:05agreeing to make the deferral payment as requested by Berkeley Law,
- 10:09Epstein assured the student they did not need to repay
- 10:12him for the tuition. In twenty sixteen, a series of
- 10:16emails from Belloclin, one of Epstein's former accountants, to the student,
- 10:20show that Epstein made about two seven hundred dollars worth
- 10:24of payments to campus residential and student service programs for
- 10:28summer session housing. The student said over emails, Epstein would
- 10:33pay for their schooling through his self titled foundation, the
- 10:36Jeffrey Epstein Foundation, And I'm sure he just did that
- 10:41because he wanted to write. Epstein expected nothing in return.
- 10:44He wasn't a transactional guy. He wasn't parasitic. Their communications
- 10:50in twenty seventeen points toward a more explicit expectation of
- 10:54recommending assistance, with Epstein writing I'm not against helping you. However,
- 11:00produced two candidates with your full recommendation, and then I
- 11:03will help. So, in other words, two girls for me
- 11:07to abuse, and then I'll give you some money. So
- 11:10this woman, if she did that, she's part of the plot, right,
- 11:15And she was obviously over eighteen, So let me take
- 11:19back my statement. I just made a second ago about
- 11:22poor woman. If she brought anybody to Jeffrey Epstein and
- 11:26those people were abused, she should be held accountable. That's
- 11:29how I feel. That's my opinion. Anybody who was over
- 11:33eighteen who worked with Jeffrey Epstein should be investigated and
- 11:39if there's enough there, they should be indicted. And then
- 11:42if a Jerry finds them guilty, they should be convicted.
- 11:46I know, crazy stuff, right. Epstein later chastised the student
- 11:53after she recommended a twenty eight year old assistant. In
- 11:56the email, Epstein said the student was not meeting his requirements,
- 12:00to which the student applied with, Okay, no more over
- 12:03twenty four. Sorry for that. You must do as you're told.
- 12:07Your tendency to add your own thoughts is a huge
- 12:10negative in in biz, Epstein said in an email reply.
- 12:14I want it in an organized professional form. I know
- 12:18your work can be better than you have led me
- 12:20to believe. This is high school level. So absolutely admonishing
- 12:24her for bringing him a woman who is too old.
- 12:27That's what it comes down to. That's why he was mad,
- 12:29this sick, degenerate bastard. After her graduation in twenty seventeen.
- 12:35Epstein and the student remained in contact, continuing their communication
- 12:39via email and WhatsApp. Epstein helped the student prepare for
- 12:43the California Bar, and documents indicate that he funded their
- 12:47preparatory course prior to taking the exam. In twenty nineteen,
- 12:52the student shared via WhatsApp how the work they had
- 12:56done for Epstein negatively impacted their reputation in Swiss and
- 13:00vestment bank they previously worked at, and other Swiss circles.
- 13:04The student described their work for Epstein as a side
- 13:06gig recruiting for a businessman in New York. Okay, she
- 13:11needs to be brought in, investigated whatever, a side gig
- 13:15recruiting for a businessman in New York, admitting it. Huh okay,
- 13:19it was the price to pay for Berkeley, I guess,
- 13:21the student said in a text message. And I don't
- 13:24judge or complain. Hire me as a lawyer paralegal at
- 13:27some point, way better than supplying you ladies. And unfortunately, folks,
- 13:31this is just one of many of these types of stories.
- 13:36And when it comes to the girls with known names,
- 13:38forget it. I'm guessing that there is many, many, cases
- 13:44such as this and probably even more extreme, because if
- 13:48you think that Jeffrey Epstein stopped at this one girl,
- 13:51this one woman, you have not been paying attention. All right, folks,
- 13:57that's going to do it for this one. The information
- 14:00that goes with this episode can be found in the
