- 3:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we love getting your questions and comments.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: Um, makes us happy when we see the little fan mail alert.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: It really does.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Hey, and just as you were mentioning that, I kept meaning to mention this last week.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: We are hello, Bulgaria.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: We are charting way at the top every single week, most recently in Bulgaria.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: I think we have new fans there.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: Well, welcome and thank you, uh Bulgarian listeners.
- 3:28Sean McAllister: Yes, we appreciate you.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: So I was like, hey, I feel like Bulgaria was never really on the charts in the past, and lately I've been seeing it surface, and I'm like, we're in the top 50 all the time.
- 3:37Sean McAllister: Oh, now I'm curious.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: Hey, if you're listening in Bulgaria, uh use that text link and let us know how you heard from us.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: Is there a large uh Vegas fan base in Bulgaria?
- 3:51Sean McAllister: I have so many questions now.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: Please let us know.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: I know, right?
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Did you live here and you move to Bulgaria?
- 3:57Sean McAllister: Do you have friends and family who come visit and you just want the info?
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: We've been doing well in Ireland, Norway, and Poland too.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: All right.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Ukraine.
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: Actually, we're number 52 this week in Ukraine.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: So thanks everyone for listening.
- 4:14Sean McAllister: Hello world.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: Yes, hello world.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, we went to ComplexCon for the first time because it was the first time it was ever being held in Las Vegas.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: And we went over to the convention center for one of the two days to walk around, see what it's about, because we weren't sure.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: We knew it was like art, culture, streetwear, music, but we wanted to see, you know, for our own eyes and experience it.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: And we really enjoyed it.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: We actually got in, I think, right after the daytime rush.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: Which was nice for us to be able to pop to the different exhibits and see what was going on.
- 4:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, because we uh spoke with some friends who were there throughout the day, and they said that it was like shoulder-to-shoulder packed.
- 4:54Sean McAllister: There were a lot of people in uh the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center for ComplexCon.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: And just to give you an idea of how it was set up and what it was all about.
- 5:06Sean McAllister: So when you walked in, it kind of looked like a traditional convention setup.
- 5:12Sean McAllister: You know, there were vendors in or exhibitors in different booths, but the the booths were so creative and inventive and fun.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: Where you'd walk up and go, I don't understand what this is at first, but it was fun to try and figure out what it was, like the pet one.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, I was just gonna say, for example, we were walking by and I was like, Oh, you know, I'm a dog owner, we love our dog, and there was this uh exhibitor booth that looked like a pet grooming shop.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:45Sean McAllister: And so I was and it looked there was a sign on the outside that said the most durable, rugged pet toys, whatever.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: I was like, oh great, I'll get a pet toy for my dog.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: And we walked in there and I was like, wait, where are the toys?
- 5:59Sean McAllister: It ended up being a fashion line that incorporates pets into the design of the products.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: And you know, there were a lot of exhibitors there who were selling exclusive merchandise that you could only get at ComplexCon.
- 6:15Sean McAllister: So it was kind of a scarcity thing that they had going on.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I feel like that was a that's a good example of explaining, you know, where the art and the merchandise comes together.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: Totally.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: There was a Capitol Records exhibit.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: I'm assuming we didn't walk in, but I'm almost assuming it had, you know, music-related merch in there.
- 6:34Sean McAllister: Um there was Innerscope Records also that had like all the vintage band posters, and the floor was covered.
- 6:42Sean McAllister: It looked like all uh small tiles, but it was all album covers from the artists who have recorded with Innerscope.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was cool.
- 6:50Sean McAllister: That was cool.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: Really cool.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: NBA was there, they had a full court there where you could throw, you know, some hoops.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: So that was cool watching everyone do that.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: We have a friend that won some uh what custom Nike airs.
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: He played like there's activations where you could like, you know, buy a ticket.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: And you could play and you'd have a chance to win something really high-end, and and he won some custom, some custom Nike shoes that he has to, you know, just submit.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: And and so there were a lot of fun things like that.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: We walked outside uh and they had the family style food fest too, which was a bunch of different food booths, some local and a lot local, actually.
- 7:28Dayna Roselli: Um, we had Irv's burgers, we had some fries and a burger, it was delicious.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: Um, we we talked with the people at Truff Sauce and got some samples.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: So a lot of folks were giving out like samples and things like that.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: Um, but that was really fun.
- 7:42Dayna Roselli: Um, and the whole thing was was pretty cool.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: And then there were concerts later that started at seven o'clock.
- 7:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh Travis Scott was performing uh the night that we were over there.
- 7:51Sean McAllister: Um, so it was it was a really interesting convention experience.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: I think it's a great way to bring conventions to a new generation of consumers.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: It was really interesting to see how they pulled it off.
- 8:07Sean McAllister: I think it is clever, um, unique, I think, for people who are, you know, into having those unique art pop culture pieces, you know, that kind of ties in with apparel.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: It's a great place for that.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we hope they return.
- 8:25Dayna Roselli: And we got to go in the new convention center, newer.
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: So we have an older one and a newer one.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: The older one's actually being redone right now, but this one popped up.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: I feel like it was like during COVID, they finished construction and we hadn't been inside yet, and it was beautiful.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: It smelled like new carpet.
- 8:40Sean McAllister: It did, and there's a lot of carpet in there.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: Yes, it was a great space, absolutely gorgeous.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: So we are definitely set up for conventions here in Las Vegas.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: And what was really, I mean, this didn't really have anything to do with the the convention, but the location of that new convention hall, it's got this glass wall that's the front.
- 9:00Sean McAllister: It's like a three-story glass wall.
- 9:02Sean McAllister: So we went up to the second level to a little hospitality area and our way back out.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: The view out that window was gorgeous.
- 9:11Sean McAllister: You saw the sphere, you had the strip.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: It was really cool.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: It was a great view.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: It was.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow.
- 9:17Dayna Roselli: I love this that everyone that comes in for from you know different cities get to see this view and really feel like, wow, Vegas is cool.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: Look at this, look at this skyline.
- 9:28Sean McAllister: It's a great representation for the city right there.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Hey, we also quickly stopped by.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: We had a jam-pack weekend.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: We stopped by Flippers Roller Boogie Palace over at the Venetian.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: We told you about this.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: It's located right at Tau Beach Day Club.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: They put a roller skating rink over the pools.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: Uh, we stopped by on Sunday to check it out and wanted to let you know that it is officially open.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: Uh, check out the calendar because it's open most Thursdays, but then it looks like uh every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a while.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: If you want to go over and roller skate, I told someone I was going over and they sent me like a have fun, you know, an ice skating gift.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: And I was like, no, no, no, not ice skating.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: We're going roller skating.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: And they're like, wait, what?
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: It is something different, something we don't have on the strip.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: So we welcome new stuff.
- 10:12Sean McAllister: Well, and it was it was fun to see there were people out there skating who were like our age and even a little bit older.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: And you could tell that roller skating was their jam back in the day.
- 10:23Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: You were out there, there was a lady who kept going around and she was like putting on her lip gloss as she was skating.
- 10:30Sean McAllister: I was like, oh my gosh, she just needs a comb in her back pocket, and it's totally back to the 80s.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: And when the announcer would be like, okay, we're gonna go backwards now, I was like, oh my gosh, I remember those days.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: Everybody slow down and change direction.
- 10:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is open for kids too.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: So bring the family.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Um, one hour skate sessions are 20 bucks.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: Um, you can do 12 to 8 unlimited for 45.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: So FYI on that.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: You can also rent skates there.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: I think it's like five bucks.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: Um, unless you have your own.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: You could bring your own too.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: But really, you know, it was a beautiful day.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: And the thing is, um, we were just saying, like, even though it's chilly in Las Vegas in the winter with that sun out during the day, it's absolutely perfect for outdoor roller skating.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: It is.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: And you know what, as we were walking out, we walked through a patch of sun, and I was like, oh my gosh, that sun is so warm.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: But then I realized they had heat lamps all through there too.
- 11:27Sean McAllister: So I was like, oh, okay, that's why it was so warm.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: They're ready because it just the sun.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: Well, when the sun goes down, right?
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: Like 5, 5:30.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: So if it's open till eight, then yeah, I bet it's chilly at night, but that's part of it, right?
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: They have uh VIP cabanas there too.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: You can book.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Uh, they have food, drink.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: I had a great little latte.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, it is officially open.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: And then um, some people have asked us about some of the ice skating rinks.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: Um, those will open sometime in November as well.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: We'll let you know when.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: Hey, it is race weekend here in Las Vegas.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: The uh Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix is back the 21st, 22nd, 23rd.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: Uh, the Las Vegas Strip and the roads surrounding it have been transformed into a Formula One race track.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: And uh there is no denying you cannot be anywhere near the strip without seeing signs of Formula One.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: I even drove the strip this weekend to get to the Venetian, and even though everything's kind of up and ready, it wasn't too bad.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: Right.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: Definitely better on the roads this year, right?
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: And so we appreciate, you know, the F1 folks uh listening to the community and making some some changes.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: They had said the track wouldn't, you know, take as long because it was already set and everything like that.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: And I I feel like it's been true.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: Although one thing I will say, driving in, uh, because we went to a, you know, when we were going over to Flippers at the Venetian, we came in on Sands Avenue from the east, and there's very poor signage for the lane re restrictions and for the lane reductions.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: So it's like people were slamming on their brakes all of a sudden because their lane ended without really any notice.
- 13:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: Well, it's curved, it's a curvy road, so that one like you don't see what's coming up next.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: So you really do need some signage.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: Right.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: So that is the one thing I will say about like there needs to be when you do have lane reductions, we need better signage and better, you know, notice.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:24Dayna Roselli: It comes up on you too.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: I was on Flamingo and I saw, oh gosh, ahead like that that man-made bridge.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: And I was like, oh boy, I gotta get out of here.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: I forgot.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: You forget, you know, even though we get the text alerts and everything.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: You just get used to so yeah, you be aware of that.
- 13:37Dayna Roselli: And it could get a little well, what it's this weekend.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: So if you're it depends on when you're listening to this, could get, you know, a little more difficult this week and this weekend, obviously, when F1 is actually taking place.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, there are so many things happening.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: There's no way that we could possibly go through it all.
- 13:55Sean McAllister: It's a lot.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: And we don't want to pick out certain things and and not tell you about other things.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: There is like you can dine track side with celebrity chefs, there's an entertainment lineup, there's different uh tickets that are still on sale, packages.
- 14:07Dayna Roselli: There are free events happening, but a lot of those are kind of um the people have grabbed those up.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: And so, like, I think to reserve a space.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think they've they're already expecting 25,000 people per day at uh the free activation there across from the win.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: Um, one thing we did take a look at though was a letter sent from F1 saying, hey, they're ready, we're ready to embrace all of our visitors, uh, our community, and welcome 300,000 attendees across the Thursday to Saturday.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: And that's based on calculated data from ticket sales and bookings for race-related programming.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: And so we do expect a lot of people to be in town and enjoying our city.
- 14:52Sean McAllister: Hey, and you know what?
- 14:53Sean McAllister: As we saw last year, uh, watching the Formula One race on TV is uh an incredible advertisement for Las Vegas as a destination.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it goes out to the entire world.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: I know, and all those celebrities were in town too, which kind of made it fun.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: You know, Brad Pitt, Justin Bieber.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: Oh, the list goes on.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: That was that was fun.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: I mean, and we like that stuff because we're in the entertainment biz, but um anyway, also uh wanted to mention if you want to go to visit losvegas.com, there is a complete guide there with everything listed out.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: We'll put that out too on our social media and kind of try and maybe like pin it to the top this week.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: Um, and you can find us on threads.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: Uh, we are still on X and um our personal stuff we have out there.
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: We're always on Instagram.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Uh Vegas Revealed is on Instagram, and then Sean and I are on Blue Sky too.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: So we'll try and put some of those that that out for you because that's really the best place to go see the full scope of everything going on.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: And if you are uh in Las Vegas this weekend and not necessarily a Formula One fan, there is also the free Neon City Fest happening uh in and around downtown Las Vegas as well.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: There's several different venues, there's musical acts, there's food vendors, there's a lot going on as part of that as well.
- 16:16Sean McAllister: So we did want to remind you that uh Neon City Fest is happening too, and again, it is free.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they have a pretty good lineup too of musical acts that you can see for free.
- 16:29Dayna Roselli: Um, just some of the highlights are Neon Trees, uh Troy Boy, Seven Lions, the All-American Rejects, Alice in Wonderland, Russell Dickerson, and many, many more.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, that looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: I'm excited to see how that goes down.
- 16:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it is free for all ages.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: So you can bring the family.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Just keep an eye on the kiddos because you know there's a large lay of the land there.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: I always say put an Apple Air tag on them.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: Put an Apple Air tag on them.
- 16:55Dayna Roselli: I believe in that.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: I tell all my friends I put it in my luggage and I'm obsessed.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: And I feel like, why doesn't every parent put an Apple Air tag in their kids' pocket when they go to like um amusement parks and stuff?
- 17:06Sean McAllister: That's that's a great idea.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Because they don't have phones that like a lot of them don't under a certain age.
- 17:11Sean McAllister: No, you know what?
- 17:12Sean McAllister: So remember, I mean, this is uh going back to living in New York, but remember the uh New York State Fair in Syracuse, how huge that was?
- 17:21Sean McAllister: My little nephew got lost at the fair one day.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: He just kind of wandered off.
- 17:27Sean McAllister: You can't find him, and but that was before the days of air tags, but that would have been a great right, everything ended up fine.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: He was, you know.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: You'll start hearing the announcements.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: You do Jimmy in a blue shirt looking for his parents.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: Please come to the grandstand, claim your lost child.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: But what a relief when you hear that message, right?
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, for sure.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: Nothing like panic when you know you can't find your kids.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: So uh yeah.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: Apple AirTag.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: I'm not this is not sponsored by Apple.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: It's just something that I thought of when I bought one just for my luggage.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: So, a tip before we get to tips if you're coming to Las Vegas with kids, put an AirTag on them.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: Hey, quick mention New Edition is coming back to Las Vegas, they extended their residency.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: They have had such a turnout for these shows, selling out all the time.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: They just announced uh today as we're recording this podcast that they're coming back for the month of February of 2025.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: I have a feeling they'll extend after that.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: You can go see them at Win Las Vegas at the Encore Theater, and you can get tickets.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: I've actually been to the show twice.
- 18:29Dayna Roselli: Highly recommend it.
- 18:31Dayna Roselli: It is so much fun.
- 18:32Dayna Roselli: You'll know the songs, the songs that you don't know, you'll be into anyway.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: The crowd is fun and on their feet.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, you'll it and you know, it's such a large group of singers that they have all through the years branched off and done their own stuff.
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: But you know that stuff too.
- 18:51Dayna Roselli: So they all take a moment.
- 18:52Dayna Roselli: Bobby Brown sings all his hits, you know.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: Uh Bell Bib DeVoe comes out, sings their hit.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, so it is fantastic.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: I love their wardrobe.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: I love the camaraderie that they have and that they've gotten back together for um after all those years.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: And I know it took a lot, but um, we love it.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: We love that they're coming back in February, and so if you want to get tickets, because people have written and said, when I missed it.
- 19:15Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, nope, you'll still have more chances.
- 19:17Sean McAllister: People were coming in just to see new edition.
- 19:20Dayna Roselli: Totally.

- 20:00Sean McAllister: Now let's get to our tips.
- 20:04Sean McAllister: Dana, I know this is something you are excited about.
- 20:07Sean McAllister: We got an alert uh that there was going to be an Elvis Flash mob happening.
- 20:12Sean McAllister: And I was like, what?
- 20:13Sean McAllister: What?
- 20:14Sean McAllister: We are there.
- 20:15Sean McAllister: And we were there.
- 20:16Sean McAllister: We were there, and it was a big deal.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: There were like 2,000 people filling the dance floor.
- 20:21Sean McAllister: This all happened over at the Westgate Resort, which used to be the international where Elvis launched his record setting residency.
- 20:31Sean McAllister: It was 55 years ago.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: Can't believe it.
- 20:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's amazing.
- 20:36Dayna Roselli: Elvis is gonna, if he was still alive, would be turning 90 this upcoming year.
- 20:40Dayna Roselli: Jeez.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Uh so um, but he is still beloved by so many people around the world.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: We talked to some people that were taking a picture near his statue, statue at the Westgate.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: And I was like, what do you love about Elvis?
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: I mean, they they literally still it's like act like he's in the like like he is still alive.
- 20:58Dayna Roselli: They're like, oh, the way he moves his hips and his sex appeal.
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: And we were just, he brings so much joy, his music and you know, what he has done and the mark that he has left um of his legacy to so many people.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: So we were there for um, this is the year that, you know, would have been 55 years since he started that residency.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: The Westgate, the building, it's called the Westgate now.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: It's a different name, like you said, but you know, it's still standing and they are very present and also recognize the impact that Elvis has had on that building.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: Oh, without a doubt.
- 21:29Sean McAllister: As you mentioned, there's uh the statue right there in the lobby, right just beyond the statue, there was a big uh recreation of the poster announcing Elvis' original run of residency shows.
- 21:43Sean McAllister: And then there was a flash mob too.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: So we'll tell you about the flash mob in one second.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: First, uh, we did talk with the folks over at the Westgate, and this is our tip.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: If you love Elvis, here are some things that you can do and see if you go over to the Westgate.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: People come in and often ask about the different moments of Elvis.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: Elvis when they're here?
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: Um, they absolutely do, Dana.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: So Elvis has left just an indelible mark on this property, and we just lean into it because guests love it, we love the history of it.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Um they come in, they will want to take the backstage tour which we offer.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: We have the new The King Comes Home show.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: So they absolutely love to be a part of that, and it it's just something we lean into it continually.
- 22:26Dayna Roselli: Can you give us any fun facts, Elvis Fun Facts?
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Um, we do have Elvis Fun Facts, and we have them because Elvis' stepbrother is actually with us.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So he works on property, um, and he gives us a little bit more behind the scenes.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: So the story of Elvis up in the Elvis suite, um, shooting the gun through the ceiling in the chandelier absolutely is true.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: And David told us, and David was there.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Um, he said Elvis was quite the jokester and loved to continually play pranks on everyone around him.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: So it's just really neat that we have that living history with us, that David is able to share it with us, and our guests are actually able to access it.
- 23:10Dayna Roselli: So when people come in and they want a taste of Elvis, I know we've got the statue behind us.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: What uh what parts of the hotel do they need to hit?
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Give us a significance, like the main theater is the theater that he performed.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: The main theater actually is kind of the hub.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: That is where Elvis opened his show 55 years ago when the property opened.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Um we have actual planks in that theater where Elvis stood and prayed every night with his uh team and his band before he went out on the stage.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: We have Elvis' dressing room downstairs in the dressing room area pretty much intact as it would have been as Elvis was performing here through his residency with the International and with the Las Vegas Hilton.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: We have the King Comes Home, which is a new part of our Elvis experience on property.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Uh the show is a tribute to Elvis and takes our guests through the years of Elvis.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: And then we just have kind of neat artifacts and art throughout in our front lobby.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: We have an art of artifact display that's a recent um new addition to property, and our guests just absolutely love seeing all that that offers.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: I do feel like when people come to Vegas, they affiliate it with Elvis.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: Um I mean, and I love how it's still to this day, it's still a part of basically Las Vegas.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: Viva Las Vegas.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: It it absolutely is.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Viva Las Vegas is as alive today as it was years ago.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Um, maybe even more.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: We have requests from all over the world, um, guests coming from as far away as South Africa, from China that request to get into the theater to see, um, to see where Elvis walked, to be the place that's still here in Las Vegas to be able to uh make this connection for Elvis fans and for our guest is really, really special.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: Love that they embrace Elvis over there.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: Um, the flash mob.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: Let's get to that.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: Vegas Dance Explosion put on quite a flash mob.
- 25:06Sean McAllister: And a Vegas Dance Explosion is a dance convention that has been happening here in Las Vegas.
- 25:11Sean McAllister: And at the Westgate for 25 years, they do a flash mob every single year, but they have never performed to an Elvis song, and it has never been executed to the scale that they did just now.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: That was massive.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: You're gonna have to watch our TV show to see some of the videos.
- 25:30Sean McAllister: It's pretty it was a sight.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: It was a sight, and how it started was uh Ted Torres Martin actually is a tribute artist to Elvis.
- 25:40Dayna Roselli: He has a show there at the Westgate.
- 25:41Dayna Roselli: You just heard uh them talk about that.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: He was there, he got out of a limo, walked in the front entrance.
- 25:47Dayna Roselli: You know, Elvis has entered the building, they played the famous song, and everyone went nuts.
- 25:54Dayna Roselli: And then he got on stage, started singing, um, and everyone knew the moves.
- 25:59Dayna Roselli: So it was like this big flash mob dance.
- 26:02Sean McAllister: I mean, it was the kind of I would almost call it like the hysteria that you see in like the old footage of Elvis concerts.
- 26:11Sean McAllister: That was the kind of energy that happened when he walked in the doors in that, you know, the Elvis jumpsuit.
- 26:18Sean McAllister: He had the showgirl on his arm.
- 26:20Sean McAllister: It was great.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: And I don't know.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: And everyone will know that's an Elvis fan.
- 26:26Dayna Roselli: When they were waiting for him to walk in, they were playing that song.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: I mean, it goes like, um, it's just musical.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: You know, the dun dun dun dun.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that that one.
- 26:38Sean McAllister: Whatever that's called.
- 26:39Sean McAllister: Dun dun dun dun dun dun.
- 26:42Dayna Roselli: And it really did build the anticipation, didn't it?
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: It did.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: I mean, Elvis is, you know, such a part of Las Vegas.
- 26:53Dayna Roselli: Um, gosh, I just watched uh another documentary.
- 26:56Dayna Roselli: They just constantly put out Elvis documentaries, Elvis movies.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Just watched another one that just recently came out with um Priscilla in it and Baslerman talking about, you know, because he did so much research for the Elvis movie.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, for the movie, right?
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it just came out on Netflix recently.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: Um halfway through.
- 27:13Dayna Roselli: It's super interesting, but it just shows how much people are fascinated with Elvis, still to this day.
- 27:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, that just shows the impact that he had, and his music still, I mean, it still feels current, and I mean it's timeless.
- 27:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, timeless, which is great.
- 27:30Sean McAllister: And love that uh the Westgate, like you said, has just embraced the legacy of Elvis over at that property, continues to uh celebrate that legacy, and it's just a lot of fun.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, sometimes I sit there on my balcony because I'm across the street from the Westgate, and I think it's so interesting.
- 27:48Dayna Roselli: Growing up, my mom was such a big Elvis fan.
- 27:50Dayna Roselli: She went to see him at Madison Square Garden, and we'd we'd listen to all the music, and I think I'm literally staring at the building that Elvis performed in and spent a lot of his time basically living in when he was performing here.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: It is kind of crazy.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: So you're kind of like the neighbors.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: Me and Elvis's spirit.
- 28:14Sean McAllister: Not everyone can say that.
- 28:16Dayna Roselli: No.
- 28:17Dayna Roselli: That's a show.
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, next week uh is Thanksgiving.
- 28:20Dayna Roselli: Is it Thanksgiving next week?
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: I think it is, yes.
- 28:23Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 28:23Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone that is in America.
- 28:27Dayna Roselli: Sean and I are taking some time off, but we're gonna do a short podcast for you with an interview we recently did with Mark Wahlberg, actor Mark Wahlberg, who now lives in Las Vegas.
- 28:37Dayna Roselli: Sean had a great lengthy interview with him.
- 28:40Dayna Roselli: Plus, we'll throw in a couple other things, but we will have content next weekend.

- 29:51Sean McAllister: And it was so helpful.
- 29:52Sean McAllister: It's a 3D map.
- 29:53Sean McAllister: You can zoom in, you can like tilt it, you can see everything that's around there.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: Well, and it's funny because I had told you I'm just gonna park in my normal spot over at the palazzo, and then once I clicked into the map too, I decided, you know what?
- 30:06Dayna Roselli: I am gonna park at the Venetian parking garage.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: It's much closer.
- 30:09Dayna Roselli: We went right down the escalators, turned to left, but all thanks to the map.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 30:13Dayna Roselli: Because Venetian is a maze.
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: As many times as I've been there and and you know, we visit there.
- 30:19Dayna Roselli: I hadn't been up to the Tau Beach area in a little while.
