Transcript
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: Hello everyone.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Truth Be Told.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: I'm Mickey.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: I'm your host.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: And joining me today is my co-host Bethany.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: My co-host, Bethany.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Sorry about that.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: And today we're we're diving in and continuing on with a topic that we started already talking about.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: And that was, you know, are you ready for eternity?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: And it's a really good question to be asking yourself.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: And honestly, we should be ready every single day.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we think, oh, we can get prepared later, but it's not a good idea.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: It's not a good practice.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: It's better just to be ready now than to try to get ready later.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: So we're going to dive back in.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Bethany, welcome in.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: And I'm going to have you start off with um how about we do a recap of where we've already gone so far, bring us up to where we are today, and then we'll just take off from there.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: So welcome in.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: So today is part three of the series we're doing asking the question, are you ready for eternity?
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: And so in part one, we talked about being ready.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: You know, not just saying, Oh yeah, I'm ready, but actually preparing yourself for it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: Because the truth is that no one knows when eternity will start for them.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: No one knows when they will die, when they will leave this earth.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: And the verse that we looked at was Proverbs 27, verse 1, talking about not boasting of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: And Mickey, I don't know about you, but you know, ever since we did that first part, there's been so many times that I've observed that it's like we need to be ready because like we say, we don't know, and that is the truth that we don't know, and so it's we are encouraging you to be ready.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Um, and so part one was looking at that verse, looking at other verses that just pique our interest in really being ready, and so and then in part two, we talked about the difference between the little place of hell and the lake of fire, and hell is a temporary place, it's it is real, yes, it is very real, because the Bible does talk about in Revelation that one day God is going to cast death and hell into the lake of fire, and the lake of fire, the lake of fire is the permanent, everlasting place of torment that was created initially primarily for Satan and those angels who followed him, that's who hell was created for, that's who the like of fire is created for, and yet when people do not become Christians before they physically die, when they do not repent of their sins and receive Jesus as Savior before they physically die, then they go to hell, and then like I say, one day hell will be cast into the lake of fire.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: And so today we want to look more at just what that means.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: What does it mean, honestly, to be in the like a fire to be in hell?
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: And it as we mentioned in part two, this is not to make you afraid, this is not to free monger or anything like that, this is to honestly, truthfully get you to think and to honestly prepare.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: And so before we get into part three, let's pray.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: For speaking through Mickey and myself.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: We we would be foolish not to do this without you.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: And so I pray that Lord that you would meet with us, you would speak through us, you would stir a fire in those who listen and watch to be ready, to be prepared because we don't know.
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: And so I thank you, Lord, for what you will do during this time and thank you for how you will speak to each individual.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Thank you for this in Jesus' name, amen.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: So now part three.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: When we initially started part one, neither Mickey nor I had a realization that it would be going on into part three, and yet the Lord knew, the Lord knew that it needed to be, and that's one of the great blessings of being a Krishna, is being able to follow the Lord's leading via the Holy Spirit, follow what He has in mind.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: And so today now, as we start this, we're gonna start with Daniel chapter twelve and verse two.
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Gang of twelve verse two and verse two says, and many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting damnation.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: Everlasting contempt.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: I apologize for that.
- 9:28SPEAKER_02: I was thinking of another verse.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: So sorry about that.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: Um to shame and everlasting contempt.
- 9:41SPEAKER_02: And, you know, as I read that verse, one of the first things that jumps out at me is when it talks about many of them that sleep in the dusk of the earth.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you've read that verse or if you've noticed that.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: But isn't it interesting?
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: What it says there that many shall awake when a person dies, whether they're a Christian or not a Christian we and maybe I'm the only one who has not thought about it like this as much as I should.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Um but when a person dies here on earth, usually their eyes are closed, right?
- 11:33SPEAKER_02: Their body is still here, their soul and spirit are not and yet isn't that curious what it says there that they shall await some to everlasting life, which means eternity in heaven because they're Christians.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: And then it goes on and says, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: Notice everlasting.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: That means no time, no time frame.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: As we've said before on other episodes.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: So we don't necessarily understand what it means to not have time, and yet that's what eternity will be.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: Um so that encourages me as well as that where would you rather be?
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: Yes, that sounds maybe too simple.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: But would you rather be in everlasting life?
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: Enjoyment, no sin, no negativity, no nothing that Satan offers no or would you rather spend timeless in the lake of fire something to really think about.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: And if you are a Christian now, think about that for your family and your friends again.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: That I don't want it to sound like that, but if you have to think of it that way.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: Think of it.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: Do I want to spend timeless in life or timeless in a little lake of fire that is hotter than anything anyone could face here on earth?
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: And where Mickey lives, I know there's been wildfires in that around um in those states around where she's at.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: And the lake of fire is hotter than that.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: And so, um, McGee, what are your thoughts on this verse?
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: I was just thinking about Daniel and and this chapter is, you know, there's a lot there's a lot to the whole chapter, but um, this specific part when we're thinking about you know waking up or waking up to the sound of the voice, you know, to God's voice, um as Jesus, you know, returns.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: And it talks about it in a couple different places in the Bible too, where you know, um, when Jesus returns, we will we will be taken up into those that are asleep will be taken up.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Um but to think about, you know, we're we think when we die, we're just some some people think we're in purgatory, some people think we're just resting, some people think, you know, our bodies yes, but our spirit no.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Our spirit immediately goes to where it needs to be.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: And um, and that's what we're actually preparing is your spirit, not necessarily your body, not your physical body, even though you know it says we are gonna wake up, our spirit's gonna wake up, we're we're gonna become alive again.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: And that spirit is gonna go to one of two places, and that's it.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: You're either gonna be in hell or you're gonna, I mean, or the lake of fire, you will already have experienced hell if you're not a Christian and you die before you're a Christian, um, or without being a Christian.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: So it's not to scare anyone, like you said, Bethany, but it is very important.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: It's not something to actually take lightly, um, because it's an eternal importance.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: There's eternity that, like like the word says, everlasting.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: There's no end to it.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: It's going to continue on and on and on and on forever.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Only the only thing temporal is being here on this earth.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, we think of hundred and hundred to a hundred and twenty years as a long time.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: It's n it's a blink of an eye compared to what we're going to be facing.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: So this is just a time for us why we're you know, why we're sharing God's word to um meditate on the word and and really search your own spirit and your own excuse in your own soul and see where you're at with God.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: It's important.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And I and this is a really good scripture.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And and and I it's it's very clear.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: There's nothing um hard about this scripture that says, you know, everyone is going to wake up.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Everyone.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: There's not gonna be one person that doesn't that gets to sleep through it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: We don't get to take a nap and not wake up.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: God's going to wake us all up.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And there's gonna be one place or the other to the everlasting life or the everlasting shame and contempt.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: And I don't know about you, um, but I know about Bethany and myself.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: We know enough about the lake of fire and about hell that it's really not a place that we encourage anyone to go.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Matter of fact, we encourage you to really um spend some time in the Word and figure out where you're at in your in your walk with the Lord.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: Um God doesn't expect perfection because there is no such thing, but we have to have an obedience.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: We have to have um we have to have certain things that we need to um own up to, basically.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: And it's it's there's so many questions about it.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Like, well, you know, how how do we get to where we don't end up in hell?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Um there's scripture, and I don't know if that's gonna be one that you talk about.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I don't know if we have talked about it, but the the scripture that talks about um um when Jesus says or um department from me from I didn't from I don't know you.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Um that's the last thing we don't ever want to hear those words.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: And so for me personally, I mean, I try to try to, you know, and I try to keep that thought in my mind so that way I'm cautious about what I do and pay attention to what I do so that way, you know, and work on my can my my connection, my relationship with God and Jesus, because I want to make sure that um, you know, and no, I'm not perfect, I'm not saying that I am nobody is, but we're supposed to be walking out our relationship every day.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: That's why we're talking about not waiting.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: That's why we're talking about are you ready for eternity?
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: We need to be prepared always and not later, like I mentioned earlier um in this recording.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: We do not want to wait till later to be prepared.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: So, with that being said, um let's continue on with our our next um scripture.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: All right, yes, so now let's go to Matthew 25 and verse 41.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Matthew 25 41.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: And that says, Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels and I bring that verse up to say that like I said.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Earlier.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Hell was prepared for Satan and his angels.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: The lake of fire was prepared for Satan and his angels.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: No one else was supposed to go there.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: God did not create hell or the lake of fire during creation week.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: That was not.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: That was not initially on his agenda of creation week.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: At Genesis three.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: Or sooner, whenever Lucifer rebuilt and did what he did to be banished from heaven.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: That's when hell and the lake of fire were created.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: So be understanding of that.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: God's desire for every person is that they would spend eternity with him.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: Because he did create them.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: He does create every individual.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: No one is here by random chance or anything else that anyone wants to ascribe to.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: And so yeah, it's just to understand when hell and the lake of fire were created and who they were created for.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: And God's heart, like I said, God's heart toward everyone who has lived, who is living, who will live.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: God's heart is for them individually to become Christians.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: God is not willing that any perish, but that all should come to repentance, like it says in 2 Peter 3.9.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: And so again, that's why I wanted to share Matthew 25, 41.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: And so, Mickey, do you have any thoughts?
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Um, on the on that specific scripture, I don't, but I I do agree, you know, like what you said, that God does not want anyone to perish.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: And um I think that um we can, you know, when we look back to creation, we think about um what the serpent, the enemy has done to bring corruption.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Because before um the sin happened, um everyone was you know mortal.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: You know, we're we we were able to live forever.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: And that was actually God's intent until sin you know arrived.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: So once sin arrived, um that all went away.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: And and I really believe that that's where we ended up having to um repent and um and accept Jesus as our savior, because without that, you know, we're kind of doomed.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So but yeah, as far as the scripture goes, it definitely um um it's very clear that he's talking, you know, about that the fire is for, you know, was prepared for for the enemy, was not prepared for us.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Um but God gave us a free will to choose, fortunately.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: And and sad to say, some people actually choose hell.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: And and it it just they have no idea what they're doing.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I I mean I don't want to say that like you know in a weird way, but I I think when I hear people say, Oh, I'm just oh, I'm gonna go to hell.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't recommend that.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: I don't even recommend you saying that jokingly.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: It's not even funny, actually.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Be very careful and cautious.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Do not say that.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Don't speak that over yourself, you know.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Um, we we gotta be very careful what we're doing.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: And um God doesn't take that stuff lightly, so we need to not take it lightly too.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: So I think it's really important, and and it's good that we understand that the the lake of fire in hell was not designed for us specifically, it was designed for you know Satan and the angels that were cast down from heaven.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: We don't want to jump on that bandwagon with them.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: We want them just to go their way, and you know, we want to we want to spend eternity in heaven.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: So I hope that I hope that makes sense.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: So now as we continue on here with just a few more um passages on that John 5 verses 28 and 29.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: John 5, 28 and 29.
- 28:03SPEAKER_02: Now these two they also um correspond somewhat with talking about the two places, either heaven or hell, and then the lake of fire, but just to give you um more verses, more scripture that you can go to and study for yourself and ask ask God to show you what he wants you to see from these.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: Um and so starting with verse 28, John 5.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: Marvel not, marvel not at this for the hours coming in the which all that are in the grave shall hear his voice.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: Oh and verse twenty-nine and shall come forth They that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrec resurrection of damnation.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: Interesting, isn't it?
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: It's again I like I say, maybe I'm the only one who hasn't really thought as much about it as I should about what will be experienced.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: We're gonna hear his voice.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: Everyone who is has died will hear God's voice.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: Like Mickey said, and this these verses prove that and verse twenty nine talks about again where either to the resurrection of life in heaven where God will be with us the whole time there will never be a time when God is not with us, and by the way, Christians we're experiencing that right now too because of the Holy Spirit, God is with us right now again because of the Holy Spirit have we considered that like we should, and then some those who have not received Jesus Christ as Savior to the resurrection of damnation and you know even the use of the words should help us understand just how severe hell and the lake of fire.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: No, I've heard people say, Well, it's just gonna be a party.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: No, it's not um again again again we don't want to play around we don't want to say things over ourselves because I personally believe that even though Satan is not like God in that Satan is not omniscient and present isn't it interesting that he knows when to attack and so you need to be careful.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: So Mickey, do you have thoughts on this?
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: Um I I do think that um I don't know about you, but I'm kind of excited to hear the voice of God audibly, like literally.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: I'm excited.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Um I think those that are Christians that truly believe and know what Jesus came to do for us are excited as well for the for the coming of Christ, for his return.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: It says he's coming, you know.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: Um and he's gonna take us up.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: He's gonna take us up.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: So I mean, I know there's some things that are gonna happen, you know, in between before the final, final hour.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be a lot that happens.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: But again, being prepared.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: We could walk out the front door right now and get in get into an accident and not be prepared.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: And um I you know, I think about that, you know, why why are we still here?
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Why are we here?
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: And God's waiting for the bride to get ready.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: We are the bride.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: And we're not ready.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: And you know, it makes God very sad that we're not ready.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: We should be ready already.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: Um, there are a lot of people that are ready, and there's a lot of people that are not.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Um, and so I I do feel this message is clearly for those that um um are lost, but if you're seeking, I would encourage you to um um, you know, just pray and ask Jesus into your heart and and start seeking him, seeking him out.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: Because um it's vital.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: It's vital, and it's not a party, it's not a celebration.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: The only celebration that's gonna happen is when we when we get to heaven, we we will get to be with our our savior.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: That'll be the only thing to celebrate.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: That is the only thing to celebrate.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Hell is not a fun place, it's not a nightclub, it's not a concert, it's not anything that we could fathom.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: We can't even fathom it.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: It's so bad.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: And yet people talk about it so lightly.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: So we need to be careful, and we do need to be careful not to speak things over ourselves when it comes to especially hell.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: Um, we we need to be mindful.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: The Bible says to be mindful, um, we need to be wise about what we're doing.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: And if you're in the word, God is going to give you that wisdom.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: That's where we get our wisdom from, is the word.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: We often look for the wisdom in the world, and we are not to be doing that.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm not saying people aren't intelligent, that there's there's a lot of intelligence out there.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: There's also a lot of false intelligence.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Look at AI.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Look how fake and phony that is.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, it's interesting, it's exciting, it's new, it's you know, you could do all kinds of stuff with it.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, there's a whole whip law about it.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: But the thing is, is it's not real.
- 37:19SPEAKER_00: We live in a world that is phony and fake.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: And God is not liking that part of the deal.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: He does not like it.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: He wants us to be apart from that and be living in the word.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: So the tools that we should be using in our life should be the word of God.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: Every single day we should be in the word of God.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: So it's important.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: And if you're not doing that, I really encourage you to start doing that.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: Start doing it.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: Start getting in the word, and and even if it's just one one scripture, one passage, one whatever a day, it only takes a minute or two.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: People say, Well, I don't have time, I don't have time.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Well, you're gonna have plenty of time when you're in hell, and it's gonna be too.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: So I'd encourage you to you know start seeking it out now and not wait.
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: Be prepared, get ready.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: We are to be ready.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: The bridegroom is to supposed to be ready.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: You don't get married, you don't go to the wedding and not be ready.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: So we just want you to get ready, and it's important.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: But the scripture, I think um, it's very clear, you know, when it talks about his voice.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: Um, everyone will hear.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: And those that are in the ground are actually gonna hear it first.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: We'll be the first ones to hear, which is amazing.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: So if we're still alive on the earth, when when that happens, we're gonna watch people come out of the grave and go to the sky.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: It's gonna blow your mind, I guarantee.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: But it's gonna it's gonna happen really quickly.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be happening it's gonna happen quickly.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Where did everybody and people are gonna go, where did everybody go?
- 39:00SPEAKER_00: And you know, they're trying to say that it's gonna be the aliens.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: They're trying to get, they're already trying to conjure up a plan to try to convince people where where everyone went.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: Better be careful.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Better be careful what you believe and what you don't believe.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of garbage out there.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: Um, and if you're not sure, pray about it.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: God will confirm it if you do not know what you're what you're up against.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: God will help you to understand if you ask him to help you.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: If you pray and ask him, he will help you.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: So again, I just want to encourage that because it's it's it's vital.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: It is vital.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: And it's not to you know make you afraid, but I think that we should be very, very mindful.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: That's why we're having this episode because Bethany and I, we we want people to be prepared.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: As we are preparing ourselves.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: We we're not saying oh we're we're 100% ready, but we're work we work it out every single day.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: We're working our preparedness out every day.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: We're working on it.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: So I hope that um I hope that makes sense, but I I really do want people the same as God.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: God doesn't want to see anyone perish.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: I don't want to see anyone perish either.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: And I know sometimes we we you know you know we think of our enemies or people that we you know we shouldn't have enemies.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: And if you have a uh a dispute with someone, you should be praying for them.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: You should just be praying for them.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: Let God take care of the details, just pray for them.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: Pray for your enemies.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: The Bible actually tells us to do that.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: Don't wish your enemies to go to hell, don't wish hell on other people.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: I've heard people say that as well as themselves.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Don't do it.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: We want to see everyone not perish.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: We don't want anyone not to perish.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: So, if that if that kind of makes sense, very, very clear, very thought-provoking as well.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: Um, you need to slow down and ask God to reveal things to us, not worry about how much time just slow down and prepare yourself because even one second after a person dies I believe they realize especially if they're not a Christian.
- 42:26SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 42:30SPEAKER_02: And so these next two scriptures that we're gonna look at, they confirm just how quickly things happen.
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: And so Second Corinthians chapter five and verse number eight says we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: That's how quickly someone was a Christian when they died.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: It's immediate, I believe.
- 43:46SPEAKER_03: They're absent from the body.
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: That is one thing I'm so looking forward to.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: Being absent from this body.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: And immediately I would be present with the Lord.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: And that is the same way for every Christian.
- 44:29SPEAKER_02: There is no time in between when a Christian dies and when there was the Lord.
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: There's no purgatory or anything.
- 44:42SPEAKER_02: It's immediate.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: Again, our bodies, they stay here.
- 45:07SPEAKER_02: One that is meant for lasting all of eternity.
- 45:15SPEAKER_02: Because as we've already mentioned, you know, our bodies here on earth, they they're not meant to last more than what a hundred, hundred and twenty years.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know how old the oldest person is.
- 45:47SPEAKER_02: But but we are we are going to receive new bodies that are meant to last all of eternity.
- 46:02SPEAKER_02: And so the time immediately absent from the body, present with the Lord Christians.
- 46:17SPEAKER_02: Isn't that a wonderful, glorious thought that should fill our hearts with hope, with anticipation, with rejoicing.
- 46:39SPEAKER_02: So Mikey, do you have thoughts on this?
- 46:45SPEAKER_00: Um, I just agree with what you're saying because it's exciting.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: Uh I mean, and it's it's very very instant, and um we literally our soul and our spirit is gonna relocate the moment that we die.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: Because we're we we leave our bodies.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: We get to leave our bodies behind, you know.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: And um, I'm excited for that because I I mean at my age, I know I know what my body's been through.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: And um I I'm looking forward to a new one.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: Honestly, I can't wait.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: I'm looking forward to a new one.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: But I mean, it's not even about having a new body, it's about being present with the Lord.
- 47:25SPEAKER_00: That's more exciting than having a new body.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: Um, whether I had this body or I didn't have this body, I would just want to be with the Lord.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: I want to be with Jesus.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: I I want to spend time with Jesus.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: You know, I can't wait.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: And when it says, you know, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: You are with the Lord.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: And what a what a glorious day that'll be.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: I swear, that's gonna be so exciting.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: I cannot wait.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: You know, sometimes I think Jesus take me now.
- 47:57SPEAKER_00: You know, instead of take Jesus take the wheel, I just say take me now.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: I'm ready, you know.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: But God also knows that, you know, you know, He's preparing.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: He also says He's preparing a place for us.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: So we we gotta be patient and wait on him or his timing.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: It's important.
- 48:18SPEAKER_00: But I it it's it's gonna be instant.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: So we don't have to have that fear when we die, um, unless we're going to hell.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: Unless we're going to hell.
- 48:30SPEAKER_00: That'd be the only thing I've been worried about is if if you're not sure, you better get sure today.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Don't wait.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: You could walk out the door and five minutes later something bad happened, you know, and you know, I don't wish that upon anybody.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: And you know, I don't want to speak that, but it can happen.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: People people die every single minute of the day.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: Every you know, always people are dying all around us.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: And where are they going?
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: You ever wonder when you lose someone where they actually went?
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: And there's people that we see in our lives and we think, oh, that person was a good person or that person was a bad person, whatever.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: And we try to decide where we think they went.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: We don't even get to decide that.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: We you know, we but we can think we can think on it, and it should make us think about well, hey, where are we going?
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Where am I going?
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Where am I going?
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: You know, and I know people that are really, really good people, but they're not Christians.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: They don't believe in the Lord, they're great people.
- 49:30SPEAKER_00: The Bible says great isn't good enough.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: You better be saved.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: The biggest, the biggest mistake you could ever make, excuse me, or the biggest sin you could ever make is not believing in Jesus Christ.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: So get prepared.
- 49:52SPEAKER_00: Make sure you're ready.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: I I want to, when I'm absent from this body, I don't want to be in a lake of fire or in hell, get ready to go to the lake of fire.
- 50:01SPEAKER_00: But once you go to hell, you're you're on your way to the lake of fire.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: You still have to stand before judgment, though.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: You still have judgment.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: Uh and then you end up in the lake of lake of fire.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: But I don't want to be there.
- 50:14SPEAKER_00: I don't want to wake up when instantly when you die, you either wake up in with the Lord or you wake up in hell.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: Think about that for a minute.
- 50:25SPEAKER_00: And it can be terrifying if you think about it, but if you're ready, there's nothing to be afraid of.
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be afraid if you already know if you if you know where you're going.
- 50:35SPEAKER_00: If you don't know where you're going, then I'd be a little bit concerned.
- 50:39SPEAKER_00: If you're doubting your own um existence and where you're going after after your body goes away, um, I would I would do some self-evaluating and get yourself you know figured out.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: That's important.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: So it's kind of like going to the doctor and get it figured out.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Going to see the medic, you know.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: Get get those things taken care of.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Get your get your affairs in order.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: That's that's the number one affair that you should have in order above anything else.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: So I encourage that.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: But what a glorious day it's gonna be.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: I can't wait.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Um, and I can't wait to see other people that are gonna be present with the Lord.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: And we will be surprised when we get there who is there and who is not.
- 51:22SPEAKER_00: And there will be there will be there will be tears shed that day for those that did not go.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: We will be sad to see people go to hell.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: So who are you taking with you?
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: You know, we do this this this podcast and we share God's word because we want to be like Christ.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: We want to think the way God does that no one would perish.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: We don't want anyone to perish.
- 51:47SPEAKER_00: We want everyone to go.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: But unfortunately, we can't make anyone go.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: I can't push you along the way.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: I can't push you, I can't do that.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: But I can encourage you.
- 51:58SPEAKER_00: And Bethany encourages, I encourage, and and we we want to share Jesus with you because we want you to know where you're going.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: That's why we're having this discussion.
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: This is why we're asking you the question: are you ready for eternity?
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: Ask yourself that.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: And if you're not sure, get sure.
- 52:20SPEAKER_00: Please and start working on that like right away.
- 52:24SPEAKER_00: So I think you have one more scripture, right, Bethany?
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: Yes, a couple more at least.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: Um, and so now we're gonna look at where someone who is was not a Christian when they died, what that timing is like, and what that initial experience is like and as we've said multiple times already.
- 53:17SPEAKER_02: It's not anywhere that anyone should want to go.
- 53:30SPEAKER_02: It's that's severe.
- 53:36SPEAKER_02: It's bad.
- 53:40SPEAKER_02: So in Luke chapter sixteen, uh, we reference this passage in part two, I believe, of this series.
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: And so let's notice again verses twenty-two and twenty-three, and then I would encourage you to read, continue reading the passage here because it does give more of a glimpse into just most of you really is and then and that's just the place of hell that's not saying anything about the liquid fire and so chapter sixteen starting starting verse twenty-two and verse twenty-three, verse twenty-two, and it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried into by the angels into Abraham's bosom.
- 55:35SPEAKER_02: The rich man also died and was buried in verse twenty-three and in hell.
- 55:52SPEAKER_02: He lifts up his eyes, being in torment and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom, so the rich man dies, he's buried and immediately instantly he's in hell.
- 56:28SPEAKER_02: So just as Lazarus when he's uh when he died, he was buried by the angels when the rich man died, not having become a Christian.
- 56:58SPEAKER_02: He was in hell instantly and read on there.
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: It doesn't just stop after it says in hell.
- 57:19SPEAKER_02: It goes on and says he lift up his eyes.
- 58:01SPEAKER_02: But that's what the rich man experienced, and guess what?
- 58:08SPEAKER_02: He's still experiencing that today, right now.
- 58:20SPEAKER_02: Take time to consider that too.
- 58:25SPEAKER_02: That all these experiences in the Bible, we sometimes tend to think, oh, they're they're so long ago that how can it be relevant for today?
- 58:45SPEAKER_02: Um it is very I guarantee you and you know when people lived like um Cain and Abel and Adam and Eve, and even back then they still are at where where they went to today.
- 59:27SPEAKER_02: And so for me at least, when I when I think about that that helps me to know that the same God back then is the same God today.
- 59:54SPEAKER_02: The same God who brought encouragement and strength and you know even judgment back then he's still the same today when you read Luke sixteen You read about the rich man being in hell being in torment either ask yourself or think about others and ask yourself what they really want to be not for an endless amount of time.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_02: Now when when people go through pain in that, you know what are they wanting?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_02: They're wanting relief.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_02: There's no relief in hell.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_02: There's no relief in the lake of fire and that's not fear mongering that's saying the truth and so you know, as we're getting different descriptions of what the literal place of hell is like right now and what the lake of fire is going to be like I don't wanna if I were not a Christian, which I am a Christian, but if I were not a Christian, I would do anything I could, which is repenting of your sins and receiving Jesus Christ as Savior.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_02: I would do that right now.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_02: I would be assured that I won't have to go to endless point like this man who did not trust Jesus Christ the Savior is right now.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_02: And it's not just him.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_02: It's anyone who has not received Jesus Christ's Savior.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_02: That's heartbreaking.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_02: That truly is heartbreaking.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_02: So Mikey, do you have thoughts on this?
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_00: Um it's pretty black and white, honestly, like we talked about before with other scriptures.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_00: Um it's it's a clear.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_00: Um the the word's clear.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_00: There's there's no doubt about it.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_00: Um there's no uncertainty in it.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: It's it's it is what it is.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_00: You know, back in the days of Noah, before the flood, people lived to be hundreds of years old.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_00: But anybody born after the days of Noah, our lifetime was shortened.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_00: It was shortened to, I believe, 120 years is the max that people live now, but are roughly around there.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_00: Um they used to live seven, eight, nine hundred years.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_00: And you know, after the flood, God changed that.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_00: And um I find it interesting that he did that, but I also think that um living 900 years seems like a very long time.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_00: I can't imagine living 900 years, honestly.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_00: You know, like Methuselah, the oldest person in the Bible, you know.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_00: I think it was like 978 or something like that.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was a long time.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_00: Um we don't have that time anymore.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_00: So our time is now.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_00: We don't have 900 years to figure it out or to decide or to make a choice.
- 1:05:01SPEAKER_00: We have the time that we have right now.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_00: And we can do that.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_00: We can make a decision right now.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: We don't have to wait.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_00: That's why we're talking about getting prepared for eternity, being prepared.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_00: Are you prepared?
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_00: Seriously, ask yourself are you prepared?
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_00: Are you ready?
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_00: Because either way, Jesus is coming, whether we like it or not.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_00: We can't tell Jesus, hold up, I'm not ready for you yet.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_00: I want to spend more time down here on earth.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_00: It doesn't work that way.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_00: We don't get to make that call.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: Some of us try to make that call, but we don't get to do that.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_00: We we want to we want to dangle that carrot a little bit longer to see just how you know how much more we can get away with.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_00: We need to be careful.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_00: We need to seriously be working on our sins.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_00: We need to, you know, and it's not that we're not gonna sin, but like what Bethany said, we need to have repentance of our sins.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_00: We need to repent and to feel better.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: God for things that we do in our life and work on it.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_00: God doesn't expect us to be perfect, but we can work on it.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: We can work on being better.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: I think we all can.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_00: We all have room for improvement.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_00: I know God works on me daily.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: And I have lots of room for improvement.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_00: But I also know when I mess up, I fess up.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_00: You know, I just talk to God.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_00: He already knows anyway.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_00: He already knows what you've done.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_00: He still loves you.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_00: He's not going to leave you.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: He's not forsaking you.
- 1:06:37SPEAKER_00: But you just got to repent.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_00: And then you need to be honestly sorry for it.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, some people just repent, just to repent.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_00: It's not a get out of free card, by the way.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_00: You need to be serious about it.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_00: You're going to end up back in jail if you're not.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_00: You know, we don't want that.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: So we got to be careful.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_00: But as we wrap up today, I think that it's important that we ask ourselves what position are we in?
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: Where do you find yourself at today, right now?
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_00: Like Bethany said, um, if she thought she was going to hell, she would get that straightened out right now because she doesn't want that.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_00: She doesn't want to be tormented.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_00: There is no medic in hell.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_00: There's no band-aids in hell.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: There's nothing.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_00: The torture is going to be torture forever.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_00: It doesn't stop.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_00: It continues over and over and over and over again.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_00: No one's going to come to your rescue.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_00: No one's going to come to your aid.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_00: There's no fire department there.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_00: There's no ambulance.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_00: There's none of that there.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_00: We don't, we don't, we're not going to have help.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_00: Your best friend's not going to help you.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_00: No one is going to help you.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_00: You will be on your own.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_00: Suffering along with everyone else that's suffering.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_00: It's going to be some great suffering.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: Do you want to suffer?
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: Do you want to seriously suffer?
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_00: And we think what's going on here on this earth is bad.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_00: We can't even fathom what it's going to be like in hell or the lake of fire.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_00: We could not even possibly fathom it.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_00: Just like we can't fathom eternity with heaven in heaven, with God, how amazing and glorious it's going to be.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_00: We can't even fathom that either because it's going to be so much more than what we have right now.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_00: And some people think what we have right now is a lot.
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_00: You know, I think it's a lot.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know about you, but when I stab my toe or I cut my finger or I get hurt, and I want to get I want to get that taken care of right away.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: I want to get that fixed.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_00: Think about it, that pain that you have.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_00: Hell is not anything fun, and it's very painful.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_00: You're going to endure a lot of pain for a very, very, very, very, very long time, forever.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_00: And again, not to not to scare you, but you know, where are you at?
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_00: Where are you at in eternity?
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_00: Are you ready?
- 1:09:12SPEAKER_00: Get ready if you're not ready.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: We just encourage that.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_00: That's what we're doing here today.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_00: Um, Bethany, do you have anything in that you want to say in closing?
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_02: Yes, um, just one final passage that I want us to leave with.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_02: Um that I want us to consider, and that is Revelation twenty.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_02: And this has not taken place yet.
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_02: But it will.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_02: As I read, and as you study on your own.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_02: Think about what this is actually saying.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_02: Again, I do like Mickey has mentioned, I do believe that these verses are very clear.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_02: There's no no room for confusion in these verses.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_02: So verse 13.
- 1:11:07SPEAKER_02: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, and they were judged every man according to their words.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_02: Verse 14 and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_02: This is the second death.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_02: Verse 15 and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
- 1:11:59SPEAKER_02: And then there are other verses talking about Satan and the false prophet and the beast and those also being cast into the lake of fire.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_02: So if your name is not written in the book of life by being a Christian, if your friends or your family or those you know, if their names are not written in the book of life by being a Christian, they will because into the lake of fire.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_02: Notice that the sea in verse thirteen the sea gives up the dead.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_01: Think about that.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_02: Umy dead.
- 1:13:31SPEAKER_02: Even right now are in the sea.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_02: How many dead are in hell right now and says that death and hell give up the dead which are in them and that all of it will be cast into like a fire and that's not just an ordinary lake.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_02: I'm sure that Mickey where she lives can justify to the wildfires, like I mentioned earlier.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_02: The wildfires around her state where they're at there.
- 1:16:24SPEAKER_02: Don't take our word for it.
- 1:16:27SPEAKER_02: Study for yourself.
- 1:16:33SPEAKER_02: We want to have you be prepared.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_02: We want to be able to see you in heaven.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_02: We truly do.
- 1:16:53SPEAKER_02: But ultimately we do want to spend time with Jesus to fellowship with him.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_02: To hear from him, to hear from God.
- 1:17:19SPEAKER_00: Um it when we talk about the the lake of fire, when it says um, whosoever was not found in the book of life was cast in the lake of fire.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_00: When we think of a fire, when when you're talking about the fires here, when they people that got burnt or people that are fighting them, and you know, you get burnt, there's not going to be any any fire that gets extinguished.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_00: The fire will not stop burning, it's a continual burning.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_00: So you want to make sure that you are guaranteed that your name is written in the Lamb's book of life.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_00: And how do you guarantee that?
- 1:17:53SPEAKER_00: How do you guarantee it?
- 1:17:54SPEAKER_00: You guarantee it through repentance and asking Jesus to be your savior.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_00: It's not hard.
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_00: We make it hard.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_00: And people say, Well, I don't know what to do or how to do it, or or what am I supposed to do afterwards?
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_00: That that'll come if you get into God's word, he'll show you.
- 1:18:14SPEAKER_00: You can reach out, we'll we can we can help you, you know.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_00: Um, nobody's perfect at it.
- 1:18:21SPEAKER_00: The word doesn't say get saved and then be perfect, right?
- 1:18:25SPEAKER_00: It doesn't say that anywhere.
- 1:18:27SPEAKER_00: Or get saved and you never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever sin again, and then you can go to heaven.
- 1:18:32SPEAKER_00: It doesn't say that.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_00: It says to get saved and repent.
- 1:18:39SPEAKER_00: The repentance is what saves us.
- 1:18:42SPEAKER_00: And on judgment day for Christians, if your name is written in the Lamb's book of life, the judgment that you're gonna face all on your own, nobody's gonna be there to back you up or help you out or bail you out.
- 1:18:56SPEAKER_00: Um, the judgment that you're gonna be faced with is the stuff you did not repent for.
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_00: That's what you have to own up to on judgment day.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_00: The stuff you've repented for, it's already gone.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_00: Jesus has already wiped this lake clean.
- 1:19:15SPEAKER_00: That's why when you learn about forgiveness and that hope, um it's it's it's readily available to you right now.
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_00: Salvation is is available right now.
- 1:19:29SPEAKER_00: Don't have to wait.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_00: Don't wait to get prepared.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_00: Don't do it.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_00: Um, I I really encourage you today to to think about this episode and think about the scriptures that were given today and go back and read them.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_00: Read them and read them and read them and and and get a sense for what is really going on.
- 1:19:55SPEAKER_00: Make sure you understand.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_00: If you don't understand, seek it out.
- 1:19:59SPEAKER_00: Look, search it, look it up, get help, ask.
- 1:20:02SPEAKER_00: It's okay to ask.
- 1:20:06SPEAKER_00: Um definitely Bethany and I are both here to help with that.
- 1:20:10SPEAKER_00: Um, and we are not perfect, we're not sitting up here trying to put ourselves on a pedestal.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_00: That's not what Bethany and I do, and we don't ever want to be in that position.
- 1:20:19SPEAKER_00: We never want to act that way.
- 1:20:20SPEAKER_00: We don't, we're not that way.
- 1:20:22SPEAKER_00: We don't think we're better than any person out there.
- 1:20:29SPEAKER_00: But I do long for those that are going to hell not to go to hell.
- 1:20:34SPEAKER_00: I don't want you to go to hell.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_00: No matter what you've done in your life, you may say, Well, it's too late for me.
- 1:20:41SPEAKER_00: I'm a horrible person.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_00: I've done nothing but bad in my life.
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_00: God doesn't look at you like that.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_00: He says in Jeremiah 29, 11 that he created you with a purpose for a hope and a future.
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_00: Your future is eternal.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_00: Eternity.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_00: That's your future.
- 1:21:01SPEAKER_00: Not the here and the now, right now.
- 1:21:03SPEAKER_00: He's talking about futuristic hope for you.
- 1:21:07SPEAKER_00: Eternity in heaven with him.
- 1:21:10SPEAKER_00: That is his hope for you.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_00: So there's nothing that you've done so bad in your life that God cannot forgive.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_00: But he's waiting and he's ready for you to disrepent.
- 1:21:26SPEAKER_00: It's pretty easy.
- 1:21:28SPEAKER_00: So with that being said, um, we did go a little long today.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think it was very important that you know we touch base on all the scripture that was shared.
- 1:21:37SPEAKER_00: Um and Bethany, thank you for that.
- 1:21:39SPEAKER_00: And um, if you are not sure, please reach out to us and we will we will help you.
- 1:21:45SPEAKER_00: We will pray with you.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_00: If you don't know what to pray, we will pray with you.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_00: So going into closing, let's close out in um and in prayer and um so we can finalize this episode.
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_00: Father God, Lord, we thank you.
- 1:22:00SPEAKER_00: We thank you for your word.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_00: We thank you for your truth, and we thank you for your clarity, Lord.
- 1:22:06SPEAKER_00: Your word is black and white.
- 1:22:07SPEAKER_00: It's very simple and so clear.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_00: You know, we know Jesus came, he died for us, and he died for a purpose, for our purpose, for a purpose for us to be able to go to heaven and be with him, be with you, Lord.
- 1:22:18SPEAKER_00: I just ask that you just help everyone that's listening or watching today, that you could just loosen the chains that bind, Lord.
- 1:22:25SPEAKER_00: Just just cast the cast the chains down, Lord.
- 1:22:28SPEAKER_00: We ask that you just help every person that is struggling with um shame and guilt and and and and have not come to repentance, Lord, that you just help guide them into repentance.
- 1:22:39SPEAKER_00: And Lord, help us, help Bethany and I.
- 1:22:42SPEAKER_00: Um we're not perfect.
- 1:22:43SPEAKER_00: We sin, we make mistakes, Lord.
- 1:22:45SPEAKER_00: We just and and I'm just thankful that that you are forgiving God, that you do consider forgiving us even though we don't deserve it.
- 1:22:53SPEAKER_00: We're not worthy, but you are worthy.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_00: You are so masterful, and we just love you.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_00: We we know that you are the ultimate answer to everything.
- 1:23:02SPEAKER_00: Lord, I just encourage everyone listening that they just get in the word, Lord.
- 1:23:06SPEAKER_00: And they get and they just go sit at the feet of Jesus and they just pray and they meditate on who you are, God.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_00: I ask that you just bring encouragement to each person that's listening and watching today, that everyone will gain something from this episode.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_00: And Lord, I just pray that everyone will share this episode so that that way others can hear it.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_00: The word says to go share the gospel, Lord, and that that is our goal, Lord.
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_00: We want to see that no one perish like you want to see no one perish.
- 1:23:31SPEAKER_00: We are supposed to be like Christ.
- 1:23:33SPEAKER_00: We're supposed to be Christ-like.
- 1:23:35SPEAKER_00: Help us to be that way, Lord.
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_00: We thank you for loving us, we thank you for your word.
- 1:23:39SPEAKER_00: We thank you for truth be told, Lord.
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_00: We just ask you to watch over everyone, keep us safe, and protect all those that are fighting fires today, right now, Lord.
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_00: All around us are fires, God.
- 1:23:48SPEAKER_00: We just ask you to watch all over over all of our all of the firemen and all of the volunteers that are out there working and and working to keep us safe, Lord.
- 1:23:56SPEAKER_00: We just thank you for that.
- 1:23:57SPEAKER_00: We just ask for extra protection for those people today, Lord.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_00: We just thank you for this episode.
- 1:24:01SPEAKER_00: In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_00: That was a great episode.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_00: And um we we may continue on within with a part four, I'm not sure yet.
- 1:24:12SPEAKER_00: We will let you know when it when that happens.
- 1:24:14SPEAKER_00: But um, as far as say go back and and if you haven't listened to one and two, go back and listen.
- 1:24:21SPEAKER_00: Get the whole the whole part of this, the whole series.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_00: It's important.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_00: Um, you don't want to miss it.
- 1:24:28SPEAKER_00: It's it's been great.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_00: And Holy Spirit moves.
- 1:24:31SPEAKER_00: You know, when when we start talking and opening up God's word, Holy Spirit does move.
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_00: We just have to allow them to.
- 1:24:38SPEAKER_00: We just have to allow it and we have to be ready for it.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_00: So, Bethany, thank you again for uh great scripture.
- 1:24:44SPEAKER_00: And so to everyone that's listening and watching, I hope you all have a great day.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_00: Be safe out there.
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_00: Um, if you're anywhere near fires, you know, and we're just we're praying for you.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_00: And uh we're, you know, there's a lot of stuff going on in the world today.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know we're we're dealing with that, but there's a lot more going on everywhere.
- 1:25:00SPEAKER_00: So just be safe out there and be mindful.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_00: So take care and God bless you guys.
- 1:25:04SPEAKER_00: This is another great episode of Truth Be Told.
