  Welcome to our Thursday night sermons. And listen, these are not regular sermons.

  We're not getting all biblical. We're not getting all religiously.

  We're here to spread what we feel is going to be important moving forward and

  spreading whatever knowledge, wisdom, tips, tricks,

  or whatever it is that we have to you, the audience. Now, here's one thing.

  I put everything set up with this because we like to use Zoom as our way of

  getting people to join in.

  And I went through this whole series of, you know, Zoom learning and all.

  I got the link out there on all the socials. And of course, as you would know, the link did not work.

  So I sent the link out, at least on Facebook, because I can't go do recordings

  and all and put it on all the other socials.

  But I have the actual link now set up there. So we apologize If anybody does

  are the growing pains These are the technical difficulties That anybody goes

  through Whenever they're starting something new And Lizzie and I,

  we're extremely used to that We know that these things happen But we want you

  to be part of everything All the ups,

  all the downs, all the failures All the walls crumbling down All the technical

  difficulties It's nice to have everybody join in When these things happen To

  see that we're just a couple real people Trying to spread something Very real,

  something very new Something exciting So, these sermons are being recorded So

  So of course, the first night, it's going to be a mess.

  So we're here now, we're doing the recording anyway, and we're going to have a little bit of fun.

  So this is what I wanted to say. We've been spending a lot of time talking about
• 2:25
  the church. We're talking about what it is.
• 2:27
  We've been talking about setting it up and now it's here. So now we want to
• 2:33
  hear about exactly what it is and what we're doing.

  So I figured tonight we'll kind of do a little introduction to ourselves,
• 2:41
  our modalities, what Lizzie and I are trying to do.
• 2:45
  So I'm going to start off with just me.
• 2:48
  My number one most important modality, the one thing that I rely on 100% and
• 2:55
  one of my biggest teachings is meditation.
• 2:59
  I believe everyone should be meditating. I believe everyone should be meditating.

  I believe everybody says they want to meditate, but they can't.
• 3:06
  However, they can. I don't like the words, I cannot.
• 3:11
  Meditation is one of the easiest things to do. I've been doing it for so,
• 3:14
  so long. And I started very, very small.
• 3:18
  And it grew into something amazing to where I could go on these amazing trips
• 3:24
  in my mind just by sitting down for a couple minutes and just focusing. I can teach this.
• 3:29
  And I'm going to start teaching it.
• 3:32
  Most recently, I just got my Bachelor's of Science for Metaphysical Studies
• 3:36
  through the University of Sedona. I took an online course for that.
• 3:39
  I set that up just because everybody wants some sort of certification. I know how to meditate.
• 3:44
  I've been meditating for over 25 years. I don't need any kind of certification for that.
• 3:50
  However, I just wanted to give myself a little bit more knowledge because we can always learn.
• 3:56
  So one of the big things I was taught on there, there was a whole section on
• 4:00
  meditation. So not much new that I learned, but there were a few other things
• 4:04
  that I did learn about it. So yes, there's something to take away.
• 4:08
  There's something to take away from everything in life. And you don't have to
• 4:11
  get it just from Lizzie and I, because you, as the churchgoers,
• 4:15
  can bring stuff to Lizzie and I as well.
• 4:19
  We're open to every type of modality. We're open to every type of religion.
• 4:24
  We're open to every type of idea. Yeah.
• 4:28
  So you can bring yourself to us.
• 4:32
  We have no problems or no worries about other people's perceptions and ideas.
• 4:38
  Our church is very strict on harassment and bullying.
• 4:43
  We won't take any of that. So if you join us at any point, just remember,
• 4:47
  bring your true self, but make sure it's something that you could bring to the
• 4:52
  church in a kind, passionate kind of way.
• 4:57
  I also beyond meditation Even though it's all worked in To all the things I
• 5:04
  do Because I use it as a foundation As a baseline For everything I do I also.
• 5:11
  Teach woodlarking,
• 5:13
  the nature, the outdoors, to me, it resets the soul.
• 5:19
  So I'm passionate about that. I'm out every day now when I can,
• 5:23
  just to get outside the four walls, the confines of these modern constructs, what we consider homes.
• 5:30
  Our true homes are the earth, the seasons, the weather, the sun,
• 5:36
  the wind, all of this is part of us.
• 5:39
  It becomes a physical part of us when we're out there.
• 5:42
  We learn to survive, adapt, and control those environments.
• 5:47
  So that's something that I'm extremely passionate about as well.
• 5:52
  And these are teachings I'm going to be doing.
• 5:55
  And hopefully at some point, if you're in the Pennsylvania area,
• 5:59
  local to your county, I'm hoping to maybe find some groups where we can go out
• 6:03
  together, do some woodlocking together as a group.
• 6:06
  These are ideas I have for down, you know, down the line in the future,
• 6:11
  just little add-ons to the church.
• 6:15
  Now, spiritually, I'm connected in those two ways, with meditation and with the mother nature.
• 6:23
  The other thing I'm very passionate about too, as well, is just learning how
• 6:31
  to perceive things in a different way. And what do I mean by that?
• 6:36
  I've learned just through living every day, just like everybody else does.
• 6:40
  We live, we go through life and we all come across complications.
• 6:45
  We all break down at some point, but I believe we can always repair ourselves,
• 6:51
  bring ourselves back up.
• 6:52
  So motivation is huge for me. And I try that with everybody And I do it respectfully.
• 6:58
  However, I do say you have the power. I can only give you the motivation,
• 7:04
  but it is you, the individual, all of us.
• 7:07
  Only we have the power to adapt because we're the only ones who have the power
• 7:12
  to change our mindset and to say, I'm going to do this.
• 7:17
  You could sit in a bulk of depression your entire life if that's what you want.
• 7:23
  But here's the thing. You're always going to be depressed because of it.
• 7:27
  Until you learn to turn that switch and start a new perception of the way things
• 7:32
  are going for you, you'll always be stuck in that one type of emotion all the time.
• 7:41
  We're human beings. We're going to feel all types of emotions,
• 7:45
  but we can't get stuck in just one.
• 7:47
  So that's something that I like to motivate people out of, to learn to think
• 7:51
  and start acting differently because once we perceive our perception of what
• 7:56
  life is, everything changes.
• 7:58
  And I can say this because it worked for me. This is what I practice every day.

  Whenever something goes wrong, whenever something gets me down,
• 8:07
  I learn to visualize something different and I move forward with that better perspective of it.
• 8:15
  This is something I would like to teach as well.
• 8:19
  A church doesn't have to be religion. I was raised Catholic.
• 8:28
  So you could come to me with all the Catholic stuff. I know what it's about.
• 8:32
  I've been involved in it a very, very long time.
• 8:36
  I, when I stepped away from Catholicism and I was just on my own finding my
• 8:42
  way, I went through a lot of different religions.
• 8:45
  I went through a lot of different philosophies and paganism is what fit me.
• 8:52
  So if I was to categorize myself under anything, it's pagan.
• 8:57
  That's how I've been living because it connects with the outdoors,
• 9:02
  mother nature. I keep that simple.
• 9:05
  I also like the philosophy and I incorporate the philosophy of hermetic principles as well.
• 9:14
  So those are the two things I can work with, paganism and hermeticism.
• 9:20
  I can get into any religion. I don't care. I love studying it because I found
• 9:25
  there's so many different similarities.
• 9:27
  However, my teachings are just spiritual because we could practice any one religion,
• 9:32
  but I find it so indoctrinating and it's do this, do that, do this.
• 9:36
  I want what's best for the individual and what works best for you.
• 9:40
  That's a spiritual path. That's what I like to promote. That's why I like to
• 9:45
  motivate you for. And with me.
• 9:49
  Lizzie will tell you, the one thing I focus on, simplicity.
• 9:54
  I keep everything extremely simple. I don't overcomplicate it.
• 9:59
  I've noticed too in the whole metaphysical community, there's a lot of gatekeeping and do this, do that.

  Well, that's exactly why I moved away from religion. I didn't want to come into
• 10:09
  the metaphysics having that same type of indoctrination either.
• 10:13
  This is why I keep it simple.
• 10:15
  I could give suggestions. You take those suggestions. You do what you like with
• 10:20
  them Because you are your own individual And what you do works best for you,
• 10:27
  So if you take all that What I just said, that's me As founder of this church
• 10:32
  And any teachings Or if anybody comes to me That wants to learn something Or, you know, get guidance.
• 10:40
  If any of those things That I just spoke about Resonate with you You can reach
• 10:45
  out to me and I could help you through them,
• 10:48
  and we can get, you know, get together sometimes even as a community and other
• 10:53
  people may be able to help you within this community as well.

  So that's me. That's my background.

  I told you this wasn't going to be all fire and brimstone. This is just simple, fun stuff.

  So I would like to turn it over now to our co-founder, Lizzie,

  who I know will share some more beautiful stuff. so Lizzie, the floor is all yours.

  Okay, I'm just so excited to get this started today.

  We've been talking about this for so long, and I'm also really excited for it
• 11:25
  in the future when it's a little bit, when we've got the ability to have different
• 11:30
  people come in. So it's a little bit, okay.
• 11:35
  I told you I was having problems putting my words together. That's funny.
• 11:42
  The reason that I want to do this, the reason I find it so important is because
• 11:48
  I've been a part of the spiritual community essentially my whole life.
• 11:53
  And the common thread amongst everybody is that it's freaking lonely.
• 11:58
  When you like wake up to certain levels of awareness
• 12:02
  in your own patterns it's hard to be
• 12:05
  around people when you can witness their pattern
• 12:08
  and the thing is is at least in the information that I've been able to see you
• 12:16
  know TikTok people's books things like that and again I do like to rely on the
• 12:21
  free information and people do gatekeep so maybe I'm just kind of keeping out of it.
• 12:25
  But the thing is, is a lot of times it seems like all the information stops there.
• 12:31
  You know, you be the change you want to see in the world, you be that change.
• 12:36
  And then it's like people are mad that the rest of the world hasn't caught up yet.
• 12:40
  But I also find that a lot of people.
• 12:43
  Push everybody else away. People who they don't think are loving enough or,
• 12:48
  you know, oh, they're stuck in old fear loops or, and everybody just kind of
• 12:53
  is pushing everybody away.
• 12:55
  And I think the world is in this place where everybody's kind of just starved for connection.
• 12:59
  And I think the first thing that people have to do in this phase is to acknowledge
• 13:04
  the fact that each person has their own truth.
• 13:08
  Kind of like how you were saying, Gary, how like each person has the power and
• 13:12
  they can do whatever they want with it.
• 13:15
  And I also believe that you have all of the answers to anything you want to do.
• 13:21
  But I think the system that we
• 13:25
  were all raised in taught us to put that authority outside of ourselves,
• 13:30
  whether it's in the churches you grew up in, the public schooling,
• 13:36
  even like parents, you know, you just are supposed to listen to your parents, right?
• 13:41
  They're just so wise, but we all grow into a phase of life where we're like,
• 13:45
  actually, they didn't know everything.
• 13:48
  You know, we do circle back to where we realize sometimes they were smarter
• 13:51
  than we wanted to give them credit for as a teenager.
• 13:55
  But the thing is, is I watch people and everybody has this desire to grow and
• 14:02
  everybody has this desire to figure something out, but I don't think anybody
• 14:07
  knows necessarily what that is.
• 14:09
  And it's because our system has been teaching us to look outside of ourselves.
• 14:14
  And really, if all the answers are inside of you, then that's the point, right?
• 14:21
  And so that's what a lot of the spiritual community has been teaching for a while.
• 14:26
  But at some point, when you've got your truth inside, like, what do you do with it? Here, hold,
• 14:34
  I've had a crackly voice for a few days. I don't know if it's the season, I think.
• 14:41
  The thing is...
• 14:44
  When you live your own truth, beautiful things happen.
• 14:48
  You have much more, I'm going to say, control over your emotions,
• 14:52
  your thought process, what kinds of things happen in your life.
• 14:55
  But it does seem to be very isolating for people.
• 14:59
  And it's always this new look for a new meditation or a new affirmation or a
• 15:06
  new technique that's going to solve the exact perfect problem.
• 15:10
  But the thing is, is I think we're just supposed to come together and expose
• 15:15
  each other to each other's truth.
• 15:17
  And so what I think is really important here is that we, man,
• 15:21
  I cannot believe I was talking just fine right before we got on this recording.
• 15:29
  Hold on, I got to get a drink of water. Okay, I'll take it over from here, no worries.

  See, and this is what being live is all about. We never, even on our regular
• 15:39
  show, edit anything out.

  We just go with the flow of things.
• 15:45
  And what's also great, I'm sitting here and just listening, as much as I speak
• 15:49
  to Lizzie and I've been hearing about her ideas and all, every time she speaks
• 15:53
  and says something, I learned something else about her.
• 15:55
  And that too, I think is what she's trying to say.
• 15:58
  We learn so much from each other. And especially as a community,
• 16:02
  we need to be exposed to that a lot more.
• 16:06
  So yes, we do learn from each other And we can share ideas, thoughts,
• 16:13
  ideologies But they don't need to be forced upon anybody,
• 16:18
  We can absorb this And as long as we're able to do it ourselves Then we should be good with it,
• 16:25
  So Lizzie is back now And she should be ready to go I was just telling them
• 16:30
  that we are raw and unedited So this is what lives are all about So go ahead
• 16:34
  and continue if you're ready.

  This is exactly what I talk about. The thing is, is no matter how much you plot

  and plan things, things will just freaking happen.

  Gary, you spent so much time figuring out how to do this Zoom link that it's

  actually illogical that it didn't work out the way that it should have.

  Because you did all of your due diligence, right? Right.
• 17:03
  And that's the thing that I was talking about before is we're taught that if
• 17:07
  you do your due diligence, if you follow the system, graduate high school,
• 17:12
  go to college, get married, do all the things, life is going to be beautiful.
• 17:17
  But the thing is, is for a lot of us, we find that it's not.
• 17:20
  We feel suffocated. We feel stifled.
• 17:24
  And a lot of this comes with the awareness that we have in this world.
• 17:28
  I like to do a lot of research on different people's perspectives,
• 17:31
  was looking at old Gnostic religions.
• 17:35
  The last couple of days I went back in and I've been looking at people's perspectives of just,
• 17:41
  I think they're AI actually, but it's just written about like history of what
• 17:46
  it was like to be like a midwife in 1600 Japan.
• 17:51
  You know what I mean? And so they're just like, they're fun.
• 17:54
  And the thing is, is we've always kind of lived in this weird world where all
• 18:00
  the authority was outside of ourselves.
• 18:02
  And I think a lot of the reason people got away with that, you know,
• 18:06
  I say people as if, you know, people are, you know, conspiring against us or something.
• 18:11
  The reason it was built that way is because we didn't have the information or
• 18:16
  awareness you know we talk about a lot now about how the grass is always greener on the other side,
• 18:23
  and that's a quote talking about how like you've got
• 18:25
  good things where you're at but there was a point in
• 18:28
  time which like you didn't even know there was other grass you
• 18:32
  know what i mean you were raised into a religion or
• 18:36
  not and that was just like what you were exposed to but now we live in this
• 18:41
  world where you can pop online and see 40 different people's perspectives on
• 18:46
  religion in just a matter of minutes you know we get to figure out slowly how
• 18:51
  to build this online church we get to share ideas and all of this.
• 18:56
  I think that I'd spent the last couple of years completely fighting all systems,
• 19:02
  which is really funny to now be a part of starting a church,
• 19:05
  which you would think is a system.
• 19:09
  But I don't think that we actually fully understood what that was because we've
• 19:15
  been looking outside of ourselves and wrapping it all in the shame of,
• 19:18
  you know, the way we're inherently flawed as humans.
• 19:22
  I thought that for a really long time.
• 19:25
  That just made sense to me. I'm like, yeah, look around. We're stupid.
• 19:29
  Inherently flawed. We have some work to do.
• 19:34
  But the thing is, when you really look at it, everybody's always just been doing
• 19:38
  the best they can with what they have.
• 19:42
  This is such a beautiful time to be alive because we can build this community
• 19:46
  of people who are all exploring their own truths.
• 19:49
  We all get to come in and teach what we know and build off of each other.
• 19:54
  And we get to see all of the different shades of green grasses everywhere.

  That's beautiful, Lizzie. I really appreciate it. And when you had gotten up

  there for a moment, I had told everybody that every time I listen to you, and we talk a lot,
• 20:13
  I mean, unfortunately, the past couple of days, we haven't really been connecting
• 20:16
  as much, but every time I hear something of you, I'm learning something new
• 20:20
  either about you or one of your ideas.
• 20:25
  And that fits in perfectly with the whole church and what we're trying to do.

  That's what community is about. It's about learning about each other,
• 20:33
  finding new ideas, new thoughts, and then applying them to us and what it means to us.
• 20:41
  So yeah, I always love listening to you. You know that.

  I am going to be working again and doing more of my due diligence with this
• 20:52
  Zoom because yeah, it is funny that I really, I've done so much behind the scenes with this.

  And of course it just didn't work. So maybe I'm not going to do as much next

  time, do less and it'll probably work better.

  So that's my idea. That's my thought. That's what I'm going to do.
