- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, let's begin the expole A pretty simple question.
- 0:07What is something that you wish you liked? Everybody else
- 0:12seems to enjoy this? Why don't I? I wish I could.
- 0:15I don't know why, but I can't. It could be anything.
- 0:18It could be music, it could be a movie. It
- 0:20could be a food item, or a trend or whatever.
- 0:24What is something that you wish that you could like? Oh,
- 0:28here's this is a good one because I feel the
- 0:31same way Katie. Bloody Mary's.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Because it's a breakfast drink. Is that? Why?
- 0:38Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Just everybody seems to enjoy them so much. I can't.
- 0:41I just can't do it. It's the tomato juice. I
- 0:43just can't. I don't like tomato juice. I wish I
- 0:46could because I make them for my wife all the time.
- 0:49Speaker 2: It would be nice if you could enjoy them together exactly.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I think she would like it if we could enjoy
- 0:54them together. Bloody Mary's is an excellent example of what
- 0:58we're talking about.
- 0:59Speaker 2: This doesn't have to be a food thing.
- 1:01Speaker 3: It can it can, Yeah, because I could do a
- 1:03lot of food things that.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Oh well, yeah, here's a text. I wish I liked
- 1:08getting up early to go to the gym.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yes, I really would nice if I.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Wish I liked going to the gym.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I that's one of those things where after the fact,
- 1:19I'm glad I did it, but I'm never like, yay,
- 1:22I get to go work out.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, exactly. So that's that's a good example of
- 1:27what we're looking for.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Somebody says, I wish I liked tea. My ultimate goal
- 1:32in life is me to live in England, watch the
- 1:35Telly and my little flat and having friends around for a.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Cup of tea. I wished less. I wasn't right, but
- 1:41tea really is.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Just hot brown wal You got to get the you
- 1:45gotta get the right tea. I didn't like tea until
- 1:48I went to England and had proper tea, and then
- 1:52you gotta Then you realize you've got to seek out
- 1:54the proper tea and.
- 1:55Speaker 2: You can put cream and sugar in it.
- 1:58Speaker 1: That's how you ease into it, all right, That's what
- 2:01I had to do, cream and sugar in there, just
- 2:03a little bit. Yeah, and it's it's a wonderful thing.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Let's go to eight seven seven six oh two nine
- 2:10six nine six. Milo is here, Milo, what.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Do you wish you liked.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I wish I like soda shops, but they're just really
- 2:18nasty with all the syrup on top of the sugar
- 2:20and energy drink.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yes, it's a lot.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It's too sweet, it's too much.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Like if I go to those shops, I'll get a
- 2:28diet coke with something in it so it's not as sweet.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But you're right, it's too much.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And and and even then it's kind of overwhelming.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you know.
- 2:39Speaker 2: And it's too big, it's too I've never I've never
- 2:41finished one.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Do they have a small and any small?
- 2:44Speaker 3: Is it?
- 2:44Speaker 1: The small is a large, The small is a large.
- 2:47I agree with you, Milo, Thanks Milo, thank you. Oh
- 2:51Milo's gone. I think he fell off of something.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Piper is here, Hello, Piper, Hello, what's something you wish
- 2:58you liked?
- 3:00Speaker 1: This? This a perfect question. I've been saying this for
- 3:02years as an ex Mormon. I wish I liked coffee because.
- 3:08Speaker 2: You can have it now.
- 3:09Speaker 1: This is another one now, and I've.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Tried so many different ways that I just don't like it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: This is another one, Piper, where you've got to get
- 3:17proper coffee, you know. It's just it's just like tea.
- 3:20You gotta get proper coffee, and we suggest milk Creek.
- 3:23Of course, open to trying it. I'm still working on
- 3:26trying to like it. And then my other one is bananas.
- 3:29I hate bananas. I wish I love bananas. They're so pretty.
- 3:32I never understood the hate of banana.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Oh, I don't care for bananas.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I know you don't. I've never understood it.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I don't. I'm with you on banana.
- 3:39Speaker 1: My sister actually said they have seeds in them, and
- 3:42I went where, that's.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Not why I don't like them.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That's a like bananas.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Why don't you anything, it's a.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I love banana.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I agree with you on those.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But but see again, Piper, with the coffee, you just
- 3:56got to get proper, proper good coffee. Grind it yourself,
- 3:59make it, give it another try little cream and sugar
- 4:02in there and you're good. Yeah, I'm still open to
- 4:06try it. All right, Thanks guys, all right, thank you.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I just got a text from my sister. She says
- 4:11Lake Powell. I wish I liked.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yes, I agree with your sister. I wish I liked
- 4:21Lake Powell. I went down there. I've been down there
- 4:24maybe twice. Yeah, and I never had a good time.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Would it be nice that was an option of things
- 4:31to go.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Everyone else was having a great time, Me not so much.
- 4:36Speaker 2: But right now we're doing the ex pole. What is
- 4:38something that you wish you liked?
- 4:40Speaker 1: I wish I liked.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's beer.
- 4:42Speaker 4: You wish I like to I wish I liked It's
- 4:45the casual. Hey, let's grab a beer. They want a beer,
- 4:48Let's have a beer. I can't stand it. It's disgusting.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm the same way.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I wish I liked it because.
- 4:54Speaker 1: My grandfather ruined it for me.
- 4:55Speaker 4: But how to do that?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Well, it was it was a hot day and we
- 5:00were we were cutting out potatoes to plant them, okay,
- 5:02and he was always a fan of Kurs Curs beer
- 5:06and I was just kid, and I was like, Grandpa,
- 5:09can I have a sip of your soda because it
- 5:10was so hot? And he just kind of chuckled when yeah,
- 5:15and I was expecting sprite. So I took a big swig.
- 5:17Oh yeah, it's not came out my nose. And anytime
- 5:20I have a beer, that sense memory goes back.
- 5:22Speaker 4: I think that's because my dad did that to me
- 5:24when I was a little kid. He you know, my
- 5:25dad used to it was weird. My dad, he used
- 5:27to drink beer when when I was younger, and his
- 5:30beer he either liked the Old Milwaukee or the Lucky
- 5:33Lagger in a can, either one of them. And and
- 5:38he was, you know, having a beer. He was building
- 5:39the garage, you know, having a beer. That's when you
- 5:41have a beer, you're building a garage. And and I'm like,
- 5:44can I can I try that? He's like, you can
- 5:46have a sip and eight seven seven six beer is
- 5:51the way. Don't lose your appetite for that stuff.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Eight seven seven six nine six ninety six. Or you
- 5:56can text us three three nine eight six. This is
- 5:59a text.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I wish you like Yellowstone. My girlfriend loves to watch it,
- 6:02but I can't stand it. It's just too much of
- 6:04a soap off.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I don't I don't get it. I don't get it too.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I'm with you there. We tried a couple of episodes.
- 6:09I'm like, I don't. I don't get that.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I don't get a hype. Micah is here, Hello, Micah.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Hello Hello.
- 6:15Speaker 4: I grew up very religious, and now that i'm a
- 6:18thrown up, I've tried wine a bajillion times, and I
- 6:22just don't like it. I want to have that same
- 6:24aus French restaurant.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Scene where it's like an amazing bottled wine. I just
- 6:29can't get down with it again. Micah, let me help you.
- 6:32You get some white grape juice and a Chardonnay and
- 6:35you half in half it. Yeah, and then you work
- 6:38your way to less and less grape juice.
- 6:40Speaker 4: That's that's how it worked for me, and I stay
- 6:42in like the woosy, you know, the white zinfidel fruity.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 1: And I'm gonna grow shout when I say this, but
- 6:48try this with red Coca cola half and half really?
- 6:52Oh it's delicious. Really yeah. Okay, it's a combination you
- 6:55wouldn't expect. But there you go. And then less and
- 6:57less of the Coca cola move into the red. There
- 6:59you go. My cans. Take a class from Jimmy the
- 7:02wine guys.
- 7:04Speaker 2: We keep telling him you could do that, starting your
- 7:07drinking class.
- 7:08Speaker 1: All right, thanks, Micah. Let's go to Nate. Nate. Hi,
- 7:13are you guys doing today?
- 7:14Speaker 4: All right? Good?
- 7:15Speaker 2: What's the thing you wish you liked? I wish I
- 7:18like driving.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I have to drive between Lighton and Ogden four times
- 7:22a day. I just hate it. I'm not a fan
- 7:24of driving either.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Really, Oh, I thought you did like driving.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I no, No, I mean, my whole point is I
- 7:31need to get there. That's it. That's why I drive
- 7:33so fastly, as I just need to get where I'm going.
- 7:36I'm not enjoying driving. Sue loves to drive. She drives
- 7:39to visit her brother all the time.
- 7:41Speaker 4: We're glad, though, that you're listening to us while driving.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yes, I mean, at least taking.
- 7:45Speaker 4: This thing out of my heart.
- 7:46Speaker 1: All right, thank you, thank you. Some more texts. I
- 7:50like that Yellowstone text. That's a good one, Teacher, Emily.
- 7:54I like staying in a cabin, but not camping. I
- 7:57wish I liked camping. Hmm, oh, here's one for Gina,
- 8:01totally blind friend of the program. Something I wish I
- 8:04liked is cheese.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I'm glad somebody else said it.
- 8:08Speaker 1: The weird thing about my dislike of cheese is that
- 8:10I am perfectly fine with mozzarella cheese on a pizza,
- 8:13as long as the pizza has other topic.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I don't even do that now.
- 8:16Speaker 4: When you were talking earlier, Gina about making your own faitas,
- 8:20I was just imagining you because I know you don't
- 8:22like cheese, and I'm just imagining, what do you what
- 8:25are you just? Meat?
- 8:26Speaker 2: Is like, yeah, that's everything.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Sour cream, you too, think alike. Let's see. I wish
- 8:38I liked Scott Pilgrim Versus the World. I've tried multiple times,
- 8:42and love other Edgar Wright movies. It is an acquired taste,
- 8:44it really is. Here's one I wish I liked sports.
- 8:49I'm in that camp too, Todd and I like sports.
- 8:52Speaker 4: I like sports.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Everybody has something to talk about when they like sports.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Hey, Cary, how about the Bears? Coach Gonna?
- 9:00Speaker 1: Bears are frightening. I wish I enjoyed potatoes.
- 9:06Speaker 2: How do you not like potatoes?
- 9:07Speaker 1: They seem to make everyone else so happy.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Very happy.
- 9:10Speaker 4: That would exclude like fries and potato totts.
- 9:14Speaker 2: You can have potatoes in so many different ways.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I've never encountered anybody who doesn't like potatoes. You're a
- 9:19first the first time snowboarding and skiing. I hate the
- 9:24snow and do not find a huge mountain covered in
- 9:26snow appealing to play on.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Oh, I get it, that's me like I wish, because
- 9:30you know, here we are in this glorious.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I was the same way until I was offered lessons
- 9:35for snowboarding, and then I picked it up and I
- 9:38enjoyed it.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I did like I snowboarded once and it was Jim
- 9:41Facer Beckett when we were at KJQ. We had that
- 9:43little private party at Snowbasin and we had a teacher
- 9:48and no, and I did okay, But then I had
- 9:50one of these nasty spells and just ate it and
- 9:52I'm like, I'm going to break my neck.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So it's a snowboard instructor a snowbasin Spike was his name,
- 9:57and he offered me lessons and that was just the
- 10:00best thing. And and snow basins a great place because
- 10:03it's not well, it didn't used to be proud. Different
- 10:06story now it used to be the well kept secret.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Now it's been named the best resort in the country.
- 10:12Speaker 4: So exactly it is Nordic Valley carry that's.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Is that where we're going. You could walk up the
- 10:19hill there.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I wish I liked seafood is a texter all that
- 10:24All that butter looks delicious.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Just have the butter, put butter on your steak. It's fine,
- 10:30you'll like that.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Oh. Whenever I'm in southern California, I go out to
- 10:33U to Long Beach and go to the crab cooker
- 10:35and get the killer crab claws and just dip it
- 10:37in the butter. Let's see, I wish I could like sex.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Interesting you need?
- 10:45Speaker 3: I bet you could if you could try some different things.
- 10:49Speaker 2: There's something you like.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I bet something I wish I liked was bacon. I
- 10:55catch so much crap for not liking bacon.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Not understand that usually the smell gets in you like
- 11:00I need that.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Jin is something I wish I was cool enough to
- 11:04enjoy like all those cool people.
- 11:05Speaker 2: It's a specific taste.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It is. Here's the thing about gin. It's just flavored vodka,
- 11:11all right, poorly flavored. But let's see, I wish I
- 11:18could enjoy small talk. It feels so awkward and contrived.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Anybody enjoy small talk? Or do we all do it just?
- 11:28Speaker 3: Well?
- 11:28Speaker 1: I mean I do it for a living. Well.
- 11:31Speaker 4: That's so, we had friends over. We had a friends
- 11:33giving and it was basically just a whole bunch of that,
- 11:35like a lot of people that you know, some know
- 11:37each other, some don't. And our buddy Nick Davis came
- 11:40over and he's good at like circulating the room and
- 11:44just chatting with whomever. Yeah, I'm like Carrie, I do
- 11:47this all day long and then I have nothing to say. Yeah,
- 11:50and I'm just you know, I don't want to like
- 11:52hang out. I don't.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I don't mind it, you know. But anyway, Lamb and
- 11:56goat cheese, Yeah, my mom tries to hide it in everything,
- 12:00and I can always tell you're not hiding. Don't hide
- 12:04food in other food, especially lamb and goat cheese. You're
- 12:07not hiding that.
- 12:08Speaker 2: It's not nice.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Lamb is an acquired taste. Let's see. I wish I
- 12:14liked the taste of fish and coffee, not necessarily together.
- 12:17Of course, that's a plot of Twin Peaks. Was the
- 12:21first episode of Twin Peaks.
- 12:22Speaker 4: That's Marsie Playgrounds lesser known follow up single fish and coffee.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I put a fish in the percolat. Or seriously, wish
- 12:32I liked beer boy, there's a lot of that seafood.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Christmas. I wish I liked Christmas. Somebody said, Mayo, it.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Would make my life easier if I liked it. I
- 12:42can't stand the smell interesting Greek food. Oh, I love greekfood.
- 12:49Queen the group, not the monarch.
- 12:51Speaker 2: How do you not like a queen. I don't know
- 12:54that I've ever met anybody that doesn't like that.
- 12:56Speaker 4: There's a song. There's gotta be a queen song out
- 12:59there that you can relate to. There is is They've
- 13:02got so many forms and things that they do. Dig
- 13:06around their whole catalog, you'll find one exactly all right,
