- 3:27Speaker 1: basically building another restaurant outside of Taste right beside it
- 3:32Speaker 1: temperature control. I walked through it the other day. It's incredible.
- 3:38Speaker 1: When they open that bad Boy, it doesn't matter if
- 3:40Speaker 1: it's one hundred and five degrees out or fifteen degrees.

- 3:59Speaker 1: the store. It's gonna be great. It's'n be great to
- 4:03Speaker 1: watch games. It's gonna be great to go on a date.

- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm hungry. Huh what is it? Lobster risotta. Yeah, lobster risotta.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That's the best thing ever. Yeah, it's fantastic. I'm big
- 4:30Speaker 1: Rosotta fans. We have a listener here that's ranking the
- 4:35Speaker 1: Oxford area restaurants on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line.
- 4:39Speaker 1: All right, so we've got excellent, No, that's not on there.
- 4:44Speaker 1: He's got every day Volta, Proud Dairies. I've been there,
- 4:53Speaker 1: Handy Andyes, I've been there, Upscale bou Ray, I've been there,
- 4:58Speaker 1: the Velvet Ditch, I've been there, but only for a drink.
- 5:02Speaker 1: And Saint Louis Leo and I've been there. So miscellaneous
- 5:06Speaker 1: did not make it. The sip didn't make it. You know.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Of course, City Grocery, I mean Currents started this whole
- 5:13Speaker 1: thing and so on. So all right, but yeah, I
- 5:17Speaker 1: mean everybody's got their own thing, and that's great. I
- 5:19Speaker 1: love to hear your food recommendations as you travel, and
- 5:26Speaker 1: let's go. So that's why you travel, that's right. Oh man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: we had some we had some fun, good food in Louisville.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Kentucky and we were able to break bread with with
- 5:40Speaker 1: good people and fun people and it was great, just
- 5:45Speaker 1: a I wish I could remember where we went. We
- 5:48Speaker 1: went to chicken Cock Distillery, but then we went across
- 5:51Speaker 1: the street to eat a late lunch and it was
- 5:55Speaker 1: really good. I can't remember the name of it. I'll
- 5:59Speaker 1: have to text the crew that I was with. Fantastic though,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I mean, we had just a it was like a
- 6:07Speaker 1: shared plates deal really what we did the whole time,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and we just ordered a bunch of stuff that hit
- 6:13Speaker 1: the table. People grabbed a little bit of it and
- 6:15Speaker 1: passed the plate around, which is my kind of deal.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Blake would have thrown a fit. I love Blake, but
- 6:21Speaker 1: Blake got so if y'all remember several years ago we
- 6:24Speaker 1: got in, I mean he got really feisty with me.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That'd be Blake Scott, not Blake Shaping. And Blake Shapan's
- 6:30Speaker 1: from Louisiana, even though he played at Baylor and then
- 6:32Speaker 1: Atssissippi State. I said that he was from Texas earlier.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But Blake Scott former producer. He's in the Hall of
- 6:38Speaker 1: Fame of the Out of Bound show. Blake Scott got
- 6:44Speaker 1: upset with me because I talked about how much fun
- 6:47Speaker 1: it is to get like a a tomahawk at a restaurant,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just a lot of times the kitchen will slice
- 6:56Speaker 1: it up. So you say, hey, I want to own
- 6:57Speaker 1: a medium rare tomahawk, and I want you to drop
- 7:01Speaker 1: it in the middle, slice it and people can just grab.
- 7:04Speaker 1: And I mean, he was defiant, I have to have
- 7:07Speaker 1: my own steak. I'm like, dude, I get that. Do
- 7:12Speaker 1: you know how many unbelievable meals I've had where we
- 7:15Speaker 1: were like, all right, let's order the rib, the strip
- 7:17Speaker 1: and the fle a, have them slice them up and
- 7:20Speaker 1: you can just you know, grab, That's fun. Yeah. His
- 7:26Speaker 1: reluctancy there is going to be rooted in something, though,
- 7:30Speaker 1: Like he went to eat prior as if something happened,
- 7:33Speaker 1: something happened, he didn't he didn't think he got enough
- 7:36Speaker 1: all the shareable kind of Let's say you put it
- 7:39Speaker 1: on almost like a wood charcouterie board, but you've got
- 7:43Speaker 1: your sliced up ribbi, your sliced up maybe you got
- 7:46Speaker 1: a porterhouse whatever. But let's say you got a little
- 7:49Speaker 1: bit of rib, a little bit of strip, a little
- 7:50Speaker 1: bit of flay blank steak. I don't care whatever's happening combination,
- 7:56Speaker 1: maybe rack a lamb. Something happened in he didn't feel
- 8:00Speaker 1: like he got enough. He got cheated, Yeah, slided, whatever
- 8:04Speaker 1: you want to go with. Yeah, something happened, so I
- 8:07Speaker 1: guarantee it. Okay. He was huffing and puffing over there
- 8:12Speaker 1: when I said no, it is fun to be at
- 8:15Speaker 1: a at a table and you order a tom I mean,
- 8:17Speaker 1: you order more stuff, but you start with the last
- 8:20Speaker 1: year Taste for the Texas game did a Tomahawk special.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I was with the Bocock Brothers Bocock Brothers Premium Cigars,
- 8:29Speaker 1: which they just posted all these pictures of the dak
- 8:32Speaker 1: Prescott cigar that they do. If you want to order
- 8:34Speaker 1: one Bocock Brothers dot com and you promo code bounced ten.
- 8:39Speaker 1: They came. They flew in from Houston for the Texas game.
- 8:42Speaker 1: We started off with the Tomahawk steak sliced up at
- 8:46Speaker 1: taste and it was fantastic, but we ordered other things.
- 8:50Speaker 1: People were ordering shrimp, scampy and blah blah blah and whatever.
- 8:55Speaker 1: That dude got red and upset with. I mean, he
- 8:58Speaker 1: was over there Steward. They don't want anybody reaching his plate.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I think is that a Mississippi Is that a Mississippi
- 9:05Speaker 1: guy think? I don't know me shared plates? I think
- 9:10Speaker 1: shared Plates is one of the most fun things to
- 9:14Speaker 1: do which can't have a hat. Jesus and the Disciples
- 9:16Speaker 1: believed in it. It's why I think I've loved it
- 9:21Speaker 1: since dining in New Orleans in nineteen eighty, eighty one
- 9:24Speaker 1: and eighty two as a kid, because of Jesus and
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Disciples. Yes, yes, all right, we are the Out
- 9:29Speaker 1: of Bound Show ESPN one oh five nine of the Zone.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, good morning, Welcome in to the Out of
- 10:15Speaker 1: Bounds Show. I'm your host, Bo Bounds. The show is
- 10:18Speaker 1: brought to you by Pearl River Resort, our friends at
- 10:23Speaker 1: guys Are Falls and Philip Elms and Dancing Rabbit Golf Club.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Go ahead and schedule some time with some buddies at
- 10:31Speaker 1: the Vegas Style Sportsbook inside the Golden Moon. Hit it
- 10:35Speaker 1: up Pearl Riverresort dot com. Don't forget they host conferences
- 10:40Speaker 1: all the time. You'll want to talk to Kim. Go
- 10:43Speaker 1: to Pearl Riverresort dot com, Pearl River Resort dot com
- 10:48Speaker 1: or Dancing Rabbit goolf dot Com. Kind of depends on
- 10:50Speaker 1: what you want to do. Bowbound, straight funk with you
- 10:55Speaker 1: as we march through the summer. And yeah, I don't
- 11:01Speaker 1: want to hear all that. Well, I know that Jackson
- 11:04Speaker 1: Meadows doesn't the Northeast Jackson Kickball Commissioner plus rolling out
- 11:09Speaker 1: the straight funk te's of the week. Are you gonna
- 11:13Speaker 1: be able to execute this? All I need is about
- 11:17Speaker 1: forty five seconds? Okay? Already got the first week's. Okay,
- 11:22Speaker 1: so you're ready? Yeah? Okay? I mean, is this motivation
- 11:28Speaker 1: coming from all the work that you're doing for the
- 11:31Speaker 1: Northeast Jackson Kickball League. It's got to be somewhat attributed
- 11:35Speaker 1: to that, right, Okay? Yeah, I just wanted to know
- 11:37Speaker 1: kind of what we were doing in the mode. Yeah, yeah, Okay.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Are you as locked in as Aaron Rodgers is on
- 11:47Speaker 1: Pat McFee this week? I want to know, did any
- 11:50Speaker 1: of our listeners hear Aaron Rodgers on Pat McFee. Was
- 11:54Speaker 1: that this week?
- 11:55Speaker 3: That was?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yes? This past week? Okay? All right? So they were
- 11:58Speaker 1: set up at the Steelers camp. Aaron Rodgers and Mike
- 12:01Speaker 1: McCarthy are reunited, which kind of sounds weird. It's kind
- 12:06Speaker 1: of like Zach Arnett's back at Mississippi State Aaron Rodgers
- 12:11Speaker 1: and Mike McCarthy were together with the Green Bay Packers.
- 12:15Speaker 1: They won a Super Bowl. They did, and then they both,
- 12:19Speaker 1: you know, do their own thing. And now they're in
- 12:22Speaker 1: Pittsburgh with the Pittsburgh Steelers for what we believe could
- 12:27Speaker 1: be Aaron Rodgers last year. Now, look, I watched the
- 12:31Speaker 1: interview on MacFee. He looks great. Yeah, I mean, the
- 12:34Speaker 1: guys in incredible shape. He's taking care of himself, all
- 12:39Speaker 1: of that. We've talked about it. You know, forty you know,
- 12:43Speaker 1: Kent loved Snake Stabler, but Ken Snabler. You know, the
- 12:47Speaker 1: snake looked rough at thirty and he wasn't training in
- 12:52Speaker 1: the off season. I mean he was doing what I
- 12:55Speaker 1: would do and drink ice cold Budweiser on the you know,
- 12:59Speaker 1: on the beach. Yeah, smart guy, right. But Aaron Rodgers, hey,
- 13:06Speaker 1: is he forty two? He looks like he's thirty two.
- 13:09Speaker 1: He really does. God Lee, Okay, what do I do
- 13:15Speaker 1: with that? I mean they were in the they were
- 13:17Speaker 1: just in the playoffs. Yeah, you know, he he does. Obviously,
- 13:22Speaker 1: he's he's very outspoken against the mainstream media, which is good.
- 13:27Speaker 1: That needs to be done. They can't be the only boys.
- 13:31Speaker 1: He does not give a damn what I think or
- 13:33Speaker 1: you think, or anybody else thinks. And he doesn't have
- 13:36Speaker 1: to know. He's already made a fortune. Yeah, you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: will it cost him a broadcasting gig because you know
- 13:44Speaker 1: that whole space and you know woke and everything. I
- 13:48Speaker 1: don't know, you know, if anybody could and again I
- 13:53Speaker 1: have to do this thread that needle, it would be
- 13:56Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers. So I don't know. I mean, it is
- 14:00Speaker 1: he out? I mean he absolutely burned ESPN down on
- 14:03Speaker 1: the MacFee, yes, because of the hell they gave him
- 14:07Speaker 1: about the vaccine, right, So I think it's a He's
- 14:13Speaker 1: one of those ones where we've had you know, we've
- 14:16Speaker 1: had quarterbacks go through that say all the right things.
- 14:20Speaker 1: That's that's okay too. Yeah, that's not Aaron Rodgers. He
- 14:26Speaker 1: has an opinion. He and again he believes that he
- 14:29Speaker 1: and he has every right tabloid. I mean, you know,
- 14:34Speaker 1: the whole censorship thing dering you know, COVID is still
- 14:40Speaker 1: wild to me. But yeah, I mean he's got the
- 14:46Speaker 1: platform of MacFee. He's gonna say whatever the hell in
- 14:48Speaker 1: McFee pays him. How about that? Think about that? I
- 14:51Speaker 1: don't know what it is. I don't know if it's
- 14:53Speaker 1: fifty thousand of pop. But that was only an eight
- 14:57Speaker 1: minute interview. I don't usually watch McFee, but I understand
- 15:01Speaker 1: his brilliance and his new media brilliance. But Aaron Rodgers
- 15:08Speaker 1: was locked in. Speaking of locked in, Jackson Meadows, are
- 15:11Speaker 1: you gonna be wearing a number nine jersey this weekend?
- 15:15Speaker 1: Probably is Drew Brees. I'm want to ask our listeners,
- 15:18Speaker 1: are you going to celebrate Drew Brees going into the
- 15:22Speaker 1: Pro Football Hall of Fame by either wearing a number
- 15:25Speaker 1: nine jersey on Saturday or some kind of Saints merch?
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'll do that. Why not? Let's throw it out on
- 15:32Speaker 1: the Dancing Rabbit golf text line six to oh one
- 15:37Speaker 1: eight eight five three seven seven six. Is this what
- 15:42Speaker 1: Jackson Meadows and Saints fans think when they think of
- 15:47Speaker 1: number nine? He walked out on that feeling that was
- 15:49Speaker 1: like football Jesus had hit? What it was? Okay? Oh no,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I mean what do you mean about breezes? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: it was breezes there. Uh oh man, I've seen him.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:06Speaker 2: McFee pays Aaron Rodgers more than a million annually.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Okay, so I don't know how many hits that is. Yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I just don't know how much he goes on saban
- 16:17Speaker 1: h demands. Good, it's almost a seven figure Okay, Well,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and see I told you you didn't even this is
- 16:23Speaker 1: so funny. A couple of weeks ago, I told you about, Uh,
- 16:27Speaker 1: Saban is on mcfee's show on Fridays. Yeah, they and
- 16:31Speaker 1: I guess that's that's the compensation. So they pay him.
- 16:34Speaker 1: They pay Saban I guess eight hundred thousand dollars a month,
- 16:39Speaker 1: or however they structured Huh who pays him? Pat mcfee's
- 16:43Speaker 1: media company. Okay, all right, yes, yeah, and or Pat
- 16:47Speaker 1: just goes ahead. I mean we see this in business,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and we've done the pat Pat gets a sponsor, you
- 16:53Speaker 1: just directly pay Saban's agent, right, Okay, that's wight. Yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 1: or have now the well, I mean Savan now has entities.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And I don't mean just a car dealerships, that's that's
- 17:05Speaker 1: a I'm talking about his own where you know, I
- 17:07Speaker 1: don't know how he's set up with Anes Corp. Or whatever,
- 17:09Speaker 1: but he's getting paid in pre tax dollars with because
- 17:13Speaker 1: he's an independent contractor through some of this stuff, right, yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 1: including you know the McFee hits where you're telling me
- 17:19Speaker 1: he's bringing in all the way, you know, I mean
- 17:22Speaker 1: Savan's making probably I don't know, no more than that.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I think he's making well north of ten or fifteen
- 17:30Speaker 1: million a year. Yeah off McFee No okay, no, no, no, no,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I meant just everything that he's doing, okay, yeah, oh yeah, Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 1: he's corching that game Day and McAfee and Mercedes Bens
- 17:45Speaker 1: among other things, plus other endorsements. Yeah. Yeah, see, you
- 17:49Speaker 1: know he's doing a little bit more brand ambassador stuff.
- 17:52Speaker 1: He's probably I would have to believe throughout the off
- 17:55Speaker 1: season he gets six figures for corporate speaking engagements. So
- 18:00Speaker 1: oh he's made Sabans making. And he's on the payroll
- 18:03Speaker 1: at Alabama, which Sinbaulm did mention that last week. So
- 18:08Speaker 1: they still have him as you know, some kind of
- 18:10Speaker 1: ambassador fundraiser or whatever you know, or or goat emeritus
- 18:16Speaker 1: forever boom. You know. They bought his house from him
- 18:21Speaker 1: for that Alabama Crimson Tide for whatever the hell it's called,
- 18:25Speaker 1: bought his house for four million from him I think
- 18:27Speaker 1: it was, and did a ninety nine year uh Lee
- 18:32Speaker 1: Still yeah, that's awesome.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah, So he's he's baby him that he's, he's he's
- 18:42Speaker 3: let's see coach goat emeritus.
- 18:47Speaker 1: There. That's all. That's that's the three words he needs
- 18:50Speaker 1: on his little whatever you call placard or something that
- 18:54Speaker 1: you have on the front of your desk. Oh that too. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 1: we're live in the Bank plus studio. The text line
- 19:01Speaker 1: is six oh one eight eight five three, seven seven
- 19:05Speaker 1: six of the waggle Man moment. Oh man, good morning
- 19:45Speaker 1: to you. We need an out of Bounden's Nation roll
- 19:49Speaker 1: call on the Dancing Rabbit Golf text line who's with
- 19:52Speaker 1: us today? Six oh one eight eight five three seven
- 19:58Speaker 1: seven six. For the first time in a while, it's
- 20:00Speaker 1: not Lane Kiffin's week, It's Drew Brees. It is Drew
- 20:04Speaker 1: Brees week. Baby. All dedicated to uh Blake Scott who
- 20:09Speaker 1: doesn't like the New Orleans Saints. So but they have
- 20:14Speaker 1: won a Lombardi Trophy since his cowboys have and they've
- 20:19Speaker 1: been to several Can you believe I'm saying this? Did
- 20:23Speaker 1: you ever think that someone would say this? The Saints
- 20:27Speaker 1: have been to several NFC Championship games in the two
- 20:31Speaker 1: thousands because of Drew and Sean and Mickey Loomis, among others. Unbelievable.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It's it's what do we call him, coach goat emeritus. No,
- 20:45Speaker 1: that was Saban, but we could go QB goat emeritus.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Drew Brees Okay, from Texas to Purdue to the Chargers
- 20:55Speaker 1: to the Saints, and I have to believe Saints fans
- 20:59Speaker 1: are glad he never ladywhere else you know, Miami passed
- 21:06Speaker 1: on him or made it difficult for Drew to say yes,
- 21:11Speaker 1: depending on who you believe. And you know, San Diego
- 21:17Speaker 1: let him walk. So not a lot of people believed
- 21:19Speaker 1: in him his whole life because of his size and stature.
- 21:24Speaker 2: And then.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So well let's go back. So all the Texas schools
- 21:31Speaker 1: passed on him, especially A and M in Texas, but
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'm assuming Texas Tech that had been kind of I mean,
- 21:42Speaker 1: maybe he'd have gone to Baylor or TCU. That was
- 21:44Speaker 1: way back when. Okay that was the nineties. But uh, anyway,
- 21:50Speaker 1: he goes to Purdue, which is, you know, one of
- 21:55Speaker 1: one of the worst power for programs in the history
- 21:58Speaker 1: of power for college football. They may not be as
- 22:02Speaker 1: bad as Indiana, but prior to Kurt Signetti, but they're
- 22:07Speaker 1: they're not good, and so he goes to Perdue, then
- 22:11Speaker 1: he goes to San Diego, then he has the injury.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Then they let him walk. Then Miami passes Slash he passed,
- 22:18Speaker 1: and then New Orleans, a city that had just been
- 22:21Speaker 1: through Katrina, bet on a guy with the torn labram
- 22:25Speaker 1: and never looked back. Mickey Loomis was able to land
- 22:29Speaker 1: Shawan Payton, and then those two together landed Drew Brees,
- 22:34Speaker 1: and it changed the trajectory in the city that all
- 22:38Speaker 1: of you know and I know forever. Yeah, especially the rebound,
- 22:44Speaker 1: the reboot, the revitalization of you know, one of America's
- 22:51Speaker 1: greatest cities, as Drew Brees said a couple of weeks ago,
- 22:53Speaker 1: and we dropped that audio. Hey, the SEC Insider hit
- 22:57Speaker 1: this morning is brought to you by Martin in Livingston.
- 23:02Speaker 1: They've expanded. It was already a beautiful restaurant and bar
- 23:07Speaker 1: with a marketplace. Now they're expanding and it's really really nice.
- 23:13Speaker 1: They've got seven one TVs plus an outdoor area and uh,
- 23:19Speaker 1: they even extended the bar kind of all the way
- 23:23Speaker 1: around and it looks great. Martin's in Livingston, they want
- 23:27Speaker 1: to see you for lunch and dinner. And game Day
- 23:33Speaker 1: when you're not in Startbule or Oxford or New Orleans
- 23:37Speaker 1: for Saints Kame or LSU and Bama because I know
- 23:40Speaker 1: we've got big fan bases there watching Blake Anderson and
- 23:44Speaker 1: Southern Myss when you're not there. Game Day starts at
- 23:49Speaker 1: Martin's in Livingston and the expansion will be done I
- 23:53Speaker 1: think by tomorrow, and it's it's game on so fabulous
- 24:01Speaker 1: blue plates, Poe boys, y'all know the whole drill. I mean,
- 24:05Speaker 1: pork Rond, Nacho's wings. They've got it all Martin's and Livingston.
- 24:09Speaker 1: If you haven't tried it, you will love it. Lyles
- 24:14Speaker 1: says happy for Breeze, but absolutely not. I guess that's
- 24:19Speaker 1: on wearing a Breeze uniform are Saints merch. So I'm
- 24:24Speaker 1: taking it that Lyle's not a Saints fan. Let's see
- 24:35Speaker 1: what is this, William bo I'm taking my wife to
- 24:39Speaker 1: taste Saturday night. Walk me through what I should order
- 24:42Speaker 1: from appetizers drinks on trace. Okay, so I've talked about
- 24:46Speaker 1: how you have to start with the Pride Ravioli and
- 24:50Speaker 1: or the Calamari. They've got a smoke tomato abyss that
- 24:53Speaker 1: is amazing you throw the crew tons on from the
- 24:56Speaker 1: Caesar salad cocktails. It's a beautiful bar. You can go
- 25:02Speaker 1: Tito's Espresso Martini to Elijah Craig Manhattan and everything in between.
- 25:07Speaker 1: They do have Stella and they've got a really good
- 25:10Speaker 1: wine list. They've got a beautiful wine room too, Terra Missou.
- 25:15Speaker 1: To wrap it up in my opinion, for the Wind,
- 25:17Speaker 1: we had some unbelievable desserts in Louisville, Kentucky. You'd been
- 25:21Speaker 1: proud of me because you think I just eat, you know,
- 25:24Speaker 1: cardboard and nothing fun. Jackson. I had an ice cream
- 25:29Speaker 1: dessert at jack Fries in Louisville Saturday night that was sensational.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And then I sent you the pictures of the dessert
- 25:39Speaker 1: at Jeff Ruby's. One of them is in a Muhammed
- 25:42Speaker 1: Muhammad Al lead boxing glove and the other one is
- 25:45Speaker 1: a Nike hot top. The Nike high top was a
- 25:49Speaker 1: chocolate moose cake. It's a gold I mean, it's very
- 25:53Speaker 1: Jeff Ruby is very big. He's very uh Vegas uh uh,
- 26:00Speaker 1: kind of Miami flamboyant, eccentric. You know, Jeff Rubies is
- 26:06Speaker 1: an incredible business. You know they do I don't know
- 26:10Speaker 1: two hundred million a year or whatever that may be
- 26:13Speaker 1: low through through his steakhouses, but which is incredible in
- 26:16Speaker 1: the restaurant business. And but the guy, I mean, we
- 26:21Speaker 1: dm each other back and forth on Twitter. The guy,
- 26:23Speaker 1: the guys, he's a crazy man, but he's a he's
- 26:29Speaker 1: kind of like steakhouse mafia in the Midwest started in
- 26:33Speaker 1: Cincinnati and Louisville and Lexington, I can't remember where else.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But they roll out these very extravagant dessert You saw
- 26:42Speaker 1: the picture, a picture of a beautiful gold Nike hot
- 26:46Speaker 1: top and a boxing glove, and then you cut into it.
- 26:49Speaker 1: It's a it's a dessert. It's a uh.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It's one of those things, you know how on social
- 26:56Speaker 2: media somehow everything they make can be a cake. Like
- 26:58Speaker 2: I didn't know what that was, Okay, I had no
- 27:01Speaker 2: idea it was a dessert right when I said it
- 27:03Speaker 2: to him, had no clue what that was.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Right. It does not look no, I mean, it looks
- 27:08Speaker 1: like somebody just put out a gold platter of a
- 27:11Speaker 1: shoe and a and a boxing glove. Muhammad Ali, the
- 27:14Speaker 1: Muhammad Ali Museum is there in Louisville. I've been. It's powerful.
- 27:19Speaker 1: He's he's just like Bourbon and horses are on every
- 27:23Speaker 1: restaurant or hotel lobby that you walk, pictures that you
- 27:28Speaker 1: walk in. Muhammad Ali is everywhere in Louisville, Kentucky, as
- 27:32Speaker 1: y'all know. I mean, and there's a cemetery there with
- 27:36Speaker 1: him and all these other famous bourbon people that have
- 27:41Speaker 1: been buried there in an urban city, proper uh cemetery.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks like the it looks like somebody walked
- 27:52Speaker 2: up to a statue and cut his shoe off, yeah,
- 27:55Speaker 2: like a bronze Yeah, and then put it. Okay, and
- 27:58Speaker 2: maybe that's his shoe too, It is okay. Then I
- 28:01Speaker 2: was wrong on the Nike my badge. Oh I didn't know, Okay,
- 28:07Speaker 2: I don't I don't know. Okay, Yeah, I don't either.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Maybe they rolled one out much later after his deal.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It was because Phil Knight wasn't rolling with Nike when
- 28:15Speaker 2: Muhammad Ali was rolling in the nineteen sixties. But anyway,
- 28:19Speaker 2: I mean, I know the he started early as a
- 28:21Speaker 2: running shoe and we didn't know anything about it out
- 28:23Speaker 2: out you know, on the West coast. And then I
- 28:25Speaker 2: understand who he hired to get Michael Jordan, and the
- 28:28Speaker 2: rest is history. But because we've had him on the
- 28:30Speaker 2: show and for some reason I can't remember. But anyway,
- 28:33Speaker 2: the the show on Netflix or Amazon Prime is is incredible.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Is it Matt Damon that plays him because he plays
- 28:40Speaker 2: an overweight basketball sneaker deal maker.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Because he started the ABC D or whatever the hell
- 28:49Speaker 1: it is camp was affiliated with Adidas then Nike or
- 28:52Speaker 1: Nike then Adidas. But anyway, it's really really cool that
- 28:56Speaker 1: they drop a boxing glove and a boxing shoe that
- 29:00Speaker 1: looks to me like a hot top on the table
- 29:03Speaker 1: and you get dessert. See as many times as I've
- 29:06Speaker 1: been to Jeff Ruby's, I can't ever remember. I don't
- 29:10Speaker 1: ever remember us ordering that a dessert or just that. No,
- 29:13Speaker 1: that the the the the big flamboyant stuff. But as
- 29:19Speaker 1: soon as the other table there was a table beside
- 29:22Speaker 1: us full of guys I'm assuming a guy's trip because
- 29:24Speaker 1: they were all Peter Millard out shout out to the rope.
- 29:28Speaker 1: And as soon as those things, they ordered a bunch
- 29:31Speaker 1: of them. Like I mean, we ordered every dessert on
- 29:33Speaker 1: the menu. But I don't know how what was going on,
- 29:35Speaker 1: But as soon as Chef Crag from Taste saw that
- 29:38Speaker 1: it was, we were ordering that. Yeah, but I'll tell
- 29:41Speaker 1: you this. That chocolate moose ca. I don't even know
- 29:43Speaker 1: what they call it. And I was down on the
- 29:46Speaker 1: other end in a deep conversation whatever that's worth, and
- 29:50Speaker 1: we were having fun, so I was zoned out. But
- 29:52Speaker 1: when they dropped it on the on the table, I
- 29:55Speaker 1: was like, and I saw it, it was like anything
- 29:58Speaker 1: chocolate or caramel, you know, for me, and or slash
- 30:01Speaker 1: ice cream or combo. I'm in now. I do have
- 30:05Speaker 1: to look up on Jack Fries menu if I can
- 30:07Speaker 1: find it the ice cream, uh dessert that I had
- 30:13Speaker 1: Saturday night at Jack Fries in Louisville. Because it'll make
- 30:17Speaker 1: your will hurt your feelings. It's probably the air ruby Okay,
- 30:22Speaker 1: yeah that sounds. I didn't do any of the ordering.
- 30:24Speaker 2: The chol loose cake, salted caramel, crispy pearls okay, some
- 30:30Speaker 2: kind of creepy, some kind of cognic you know. Oh yeah,
- 30:35Speaker 2: cogniac caramel sauce. Yeah, that's that's gonna be a Champagne.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I love it, beca. I have a friend that says champagne.
- 30:43Speaker 1: He should Yeah, sounds all the letters. Well, that that's
- 30:47Speaker 1: a Clinton thing. Sound it out, you'll figure it out.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I mean, because let's be honest, y'all. Look, champagne for
- 30:54Speaker 1: y'all was barbles and James is that fair wine? Cooler?
- 31:02Speaker 1: Fuzzy navels? Oh, fuzzy navels? How bad? I don't even
- 31:06Speaker 1: know what's in that. I mean, I'm sure I made
- 31:09Speaker 1: one while I was bartending something. Oh oh gotcha. Just
- 31:15Speaker 1: somebody's making it out in the parking lot. Yeah pretty much. Okay,
- 31:19Speaker 1: that that sounds like moonshine, which we did have a
- 31:23Speaker 1: little bit of that up in Kentucky too. And peach snaps.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Oh god, yeah I had that. Yeah, yeah, I had
- 31:30Speaker 1: oj and peach sknops. Good god awful? What that peach ballini? Uh,
- 31:37Speaker 1: that's more in line of what you would drink, do
- 31:39Speaker 1: we do? I mean that is, that's if you're pleasure
- 31:41Speaker 1: of for I mean, that's what what was the show
- 31:43Speaker 1: coming out of the nineties with the with the Sarah
- 31:46Speaker 1: Jessica Parker not friends, no, no, not friends of the Yes,
- 31:51Speaker 1: that you would have you wouldn't have missed a beat
- 31:54Speaker 1: being the fifth will in that group. That. Yes, that's
- 31:59Speaker 1: a compliment. Yeah. Excells City partied, It did for it
- 32:04Speaker 1: did for a few episodes, and then it was the same.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Come on, Sonny Vaccaro was the guy that was with
- 32:10Speaker 1: Adidas and Nike, and that's the guy that I'm switching
- 32:14Speaker 1: gears again. We were talking about Phil Knight, Michael Jordan,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and Sonny Vaccaro was the deal maker in shoes. Yes,
- 32:22Speaker 1: he's a wheeler and dealer. I mean one of the
- 32:25Speaker 1: biggest ones in America, which is pretty cool.
- 32:29Speaker 2: All right, Wow, what it is? I mean it's literally
- 32:33Speaker 2: an air Ruby. They made their own freaking dessert out
- 32:37Speaker 2: of his shoe. That's funny. Then they also have like
- 32:39Speaker 2: a little Louis Baton handbag one.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Yes, I saw that one. I don't know if we
- 32:46Speaker 1: got that when we may have, I don't There was
- 32:48Speaker 1: a lot being passed around the table, sir. Yeah, oh
- 32:51Speaker 1: they got a they got a boot, they got an
- 32:54Speaker 1: Airmax ninety. Yeah, it's dude, this guy's all what yes,
- 33:00Speaker 1: Jordan file, Oh they got the Louis v this we
- 33:02Speaker 1: may have. We may have ordered the Jordan's shoe. That's
- 33:05Speaker 1: what I'm pretty sure. Yeah, that's the man they got.
- 33:09Speaker 1: He's got so we I think we ordered the Muhammada
- 33:11Speaker 1: Ali boxing glove as a dessert, and the Jordan's shoe
- 33:15Speaker 1: is a dessert. There may have been more. I had
- 33:18Speaker 1: to go back and check. I've got a picture file
- 33:21Speaker 1: that they shared or whatever it's called. Album Boom. We
- 33:24Speaker 1: are the out of Bounds show ESPN one oh five
- 33:27Speaker 1: down the zone. Martin's and Livingston wants to see you.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Game Day. They just expanded seven one hundred inch TVs
- 33:34Speaker 1: sound and Communications was out there hanging them getting it right.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Martin's and Livingston lunch dinner, fabulous food from amazing Burgers
- 33:45Speaker 1: to Gumbo, to Wings to Poe Boys, all at Martin's
- 33:48Speaker 1: and Livingston, and they have opened up a beautiful new
- 33:52Speaker 1: they have expanded the restaurant, and I'm pretty sure Todd
- 33:57Speaker 1: Sandridge and Trey Pace are about to star art on
- 34:01Speaker 1: zero lot line homes out at Livingston, which is all
- 34:06Speaker 1: that's gonna be great. It's gonna it's only gonna help
- 34:08Speaker 1: the community and that beautiful area where twenty two and
- 34:13Speaker 1: four sixty three meet on the can I call it
- 34:16Speaker 1: a suburb of Florare. Okay, Martin's and Livingston expanding game Day.
- 34:21Speaker 1: They're gonna do Mimosa's, Tito's, Bloody Mary's all that. It's
- 34:24Speaker 1: gonna be a running ton of fun from the pork
- 34:26Speaker 1: rone nachos to the redfish. Kathleen, all right, which guy
- 34:31Speaker 1: did they bring this thing out? Yeah? Like that. It's
- 34:34Speaker 1: a big deal. You have multiple servers, It's there's a
- 34:38Speaker 1: lot going on this. Yeah, I mean, I, like I said,
- 34:41Speaker 1: he's very nineteen sixties Vegas. But but I'm not taking
- 34:46Speaker 1: anything away from him. He runs a hell of an
- 34:48Speaker 1: operation to do a couple hundred million, and he may
- 34:51Speaker 1: do more than that, because I asked my buddy how
- 34:54Speaker 1: much the one in Louisville did, and he said he
- 34:56Speaker 1: thought it would that that one alone did north of
- 34:59Speaker 1: fifteen million. So you have to understand that Cincinnati is
- 35:03Speaker 1: the first one open, and it's an even bigger market,
- 35:06Speaker 1: and then you've got Louisville, and then you've got some
- 35:08Speaker 1: other things going on. This is a This is I
- 35:11Speaker 1: would pay seventy five dollars for the dessert alone. I'd
- 35:13Speaker 1: go there. Just would you desert? Yeah, if you're ever there,
- 35:18Speaker 1: I can't believe you're this. If you're ever if we're
- 35:20Speaker 1: ever there to gather, I will buy you a meal
- 35:23Speaker 1: at Jeff Ruby's and we'll get that dessert. This is
- 35:25Speaker 1: because it's incredible and I'm just in sports market, any
- 35:29Speaker 1: sneaker person would gladly. I thought it was cool as
- 35:33Speaker 1: that I don't even have, well, I do like sneakers,
- 35:35Speaker 1: but and then in fact, I'm wearing Wolf and Shepherd
- 35:39Speaker 1: shoes from the Roguemen's store and it's what Sean McVay
- 35:42Speaker 1: and them wore from the Rams last year. And I feel,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I mean, I might go out and drop a four
- 35:47Speaker 1: six forty right in the next in the next break
- 35:50Speaker 1: where the what I don't understand how they're doing this.
- 35:53Speaker 1: They got Louis v boxes coming out left.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Dude.
- 35:56Speaker 1: It all so you walk in and it's like a sir,
- 36:00Speaker 1: hits a state. You know how I describe STK steakhouses.
- 36:04Speaker 1: It's park cabaret, part nightclub, park, high end steakhouse. This
- 36:10Speaker 1: is a combination of not disco, it's Vegas. It's nineteen
- 36:16Speaker 1: sixties slash maybe bleeding into the seventies Vegas. Because when
- 36:21Speaker 1: you walk in the piano bar, it's gaudy. It's okay,
- 36:26Speaker 1: it's just bit. It's people that finally make some money
- 36:30Speaker 1: and they wear a lot of big jewelry, which is fine.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It takes all. That's what Jeff Ruby's is, man, It's
- 36:39Speaker 1: guys with three buttons unbuttoned. Yeah, they've made it in
- 36:43Speaker 1: the in some kind of tough ass business like concrete asphalt,
- 36:49Speaker 1: car dealers, owning car dealers, HVAC. You know that Boots
- 36:55Speaker 1: strapped it in nineteen fifty four for their family and
- 36:58Speaker 1: left this amazing legacy. And they go in there and
- 37:02Speaker 1: that's what they do, and they have huge gold rings
- 37:06Speaker 1: and necklaces and so on. When you walk in, you
- 37:11Speaker 1: feel like you're going to see the rat pack and
- 37:16Speaker 1: Sinatra and the crew. Yes, that's what it is, because
- 37:20Speaker 1: I've eaten at the bar, which is the people watching.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Let me just tell you this last year. I went
- 37:24Speaker 1: a night early before the Elijah Krag guys got flew
- 37:27Speaker 1: in and so remember I went to see Mark Carter,
- 37:31Speaker 1: Harter Sellers Award winning winemaker. Well, I went to see
- 37:35Speaker 1: him and that afternoon at his private bourbon club in Louisville,
- 37:38Speaker 1: and then I went to Jeff Rubies for dinner and
- 37:42Speaker 1: I sat at the bar. It's some of the best
- 37:44Speaker 1: people watching on the country. Yeah, I bet, especially as
- 37:48Speaker 1: much as happening in Louisville with the Bourbon draw and
- 37:52Speaker 1: the horse draw. But I don't even think the horse
- 37:54Speaker 1: draws close to the Bourbon draw certain weekends of the
- 37:58Speaker 1: year it is, but I'm talking about Kentucky tourism and
- 38:02Speaker 1: economic development three hundred and sixty five days out of
- 38:04Speaker 1: the year, Jackson. That place is bumping and going because
- 38:09Speaker 1: people are drawing the walking around the city and going
- 38:12Speaker 1: to all the distilleries. And now the distilleries have made
- 38:15Speaker 1: a commitment on Bourbon row. So you don't have to
- 38:18Speaker 1: drive all around the state if you don't want to, right,
- 38:22Speaker 1: that's still an option, but you don't have to. Do
- 38:25Speaker 1: you think you could have completed the starter, the Jeff
- 38:28Speaker 1: Ruby Starter to Desert challenge. Okay, tell me what it was.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Tell me what it is. I ate a lot that now.
- 38:34Speaker 1: It was about a three three and a half hour dinner,
- 38:36Speaker 1: which is my I posted about that. When I'm with
- 38:40Speaker 1: friends and people that are interesting to me and at
- 38:45Speaker 1: a wonderful restaurant, that's my fuel. And we sat there nobody.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I don't like to be rushed. Okay, we're all rushed enough.
- 38:58Speaker 1: And there was no rush. It was a Friday night.
- 39:01Speaker 1: The place was electric from you when you walked in
- 39:05Speaker 1: the bar. It was a good, good vibe. You could
- 39:08Speaker 1: feel it. And they put us in a great room,
- 39:12Speaker 1: and again we had a golf group. Besides, it kind
- 39:15Speaker 1: of gave us some more energy and fuels because they
- 39:17Speaker 1: were having a ton of fun. I call them my
- 39:19Speaker 1: Peter Malar the Road group, and they were having a
- 39:22Speaker 1: great time to three and a half hour meal, friends,
- 39:27Speaker 1: other people that I didn't know, which I love to
- 39:30Speaker 1: me celebrating around food, which is what this show has
- 39:34Speaker 1: done since October of two thousand and three. It was
- 39:38Speaker 1: a good night for me, Jay Meadows. All three nights
- 39:41Speaker 1: were like that, by the way, And Jeff Craig was
- 39:45Speaker 1: doing a ton of research and I'm okay to be
- 39:47Speaker 1: on any of those research trips. Yeah, they also have
- 39:50Speaker 1: an air rolllex do they really? I don't so, Tee.
- 39:55Speaker 1: That's cool. I don't know how he does things that
- 39:58Speaker 1: are a little on orthodox, but they work even in
- 40:03Speaker 1: a high I mean st k Look, man, it's different.
- 40:07Speaker 1: The country was very formal in high in dining for
- 40:09Speaker 1: several decades coming out of World War two, Okay, which
- 40:13Speaker 1: is fine. People didn't I don't want to say didn't
- 40:15Speaker 1: know any better, but that's just what it was, all right. Now,
- 40:19Speaker 1: the vibe is different, as you know, at at high
- 40:23Speaker 1: end restaurant. It's actually Bobby. It's Bobby. It's fun, it's cool,
- 40:28Speaker 1: and uh, it's just not as stuffy. Well it's not
- 40:33Speaker 1: as starch khaki navy blazer driven, which there's nothing wrong with.
- 40:40Speaker 1: But that's it's not you know, that's not the deal.
- 40:43Speaker 2: The challenges eating that you got to eat your advertiser,
- 40:46Speaker 2: you gotta eat your Andre and finishing.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Oh, we got a seafood tower. I don't know how
- 40:50Speaker 1: much stuff got passed around. I really don't, Jackson. I
- 40:53Speaker 1: mean we had we had shrimp and lobster and crab.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I don't even know. I feel like it was absurd.
- 41:02Speaker 2: I feel like you probably need two days if you
- 41:04Speaker 2: were to complete this too, Like if you were to
- 41:05Speaker 2: eat an appetizer in Andre and assert you're out.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Dude, that's a lot of food, right, I can tell
- 41:12Speaker 1: you this. There was some talk after dinner about getting
- 41:16Speaker 1: a drink at the Omni Hotel bar speakeasy. Bo hit
- 41:20Speaker 1: the elevator that button that says up, and I was
- 41:24Speaker 1: asleep in five minutes. I had the perfect amount of wine,
- 41:27Speaker 1: great food, and I had an unbelievable evening and it
- 41:31Speaker 1: was great. So and I recommend jack Fries too. If
- 41:35Speaker 1: you go to Louisville for the Bourbon Now repeal, I'm
- 41:38Speaker 1: going to tell you what the best meal I've had there.
