- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues brought to you.
- 0:14By the hypnotherapist Demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox. These recordings took place live
- 0:22from Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street, so
- 0:29get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi, it's Adam here.
- 0:42And today on this fairly early morning, I'm at Concha Pryor,
- 0:47which means Beach of the Shells, and I'm doing a hypnosis
- 0:52session. And it's going to be based on
- 0:54finding a new rhythm of life, a new pace of life.
- 0:59And I travel a lot. And what I tend to find is that
- 1:01different cities, different environments have different
- 1:05paces, different rhythms. In London, for example, it's a
- 1:09fairly high paced rhythm. And what normally happens with
- 1:13me is that when I get myself out of London to a different part of
- 1:17the country or the world, it takes me a couple of days to
- 1:21kind of adjust to that new rhythm.
- 1:23So what I thought would be useful is to do a hypnosis
- 1:26session while I'm out here based in Brazil to reflect this idea
- 1:31of adjusting to a new rhythm that is beneficial for you.
- 1:35Because what can be quite stress inducing is if the rhythm that
- 1:40you're in is not conducive to the environment that you're in.
- 1:45Obviously, normally I do these hypnosis sessions in a recording
- 1:48studio in London. I'm out here in Brazil now doing
- 1:51a series of videos that's designed to Get Me Out in nature
- 1:56and take the hypnosis to where I can identify with some of these
- 2:00resource states that you probably experience in some of
- 2:04the other hypnosis sessions that I do.
- 2:06So this is all about finding the right rhythm.
- 2:10The ideal way for you to experience this hypnosis session
- 2:13is going to be to find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:16won't be disturbed to relax and enjoy the session.
- 2:35Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in a
- 2:44resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 2:48And as you exhale, just allow yourself to feel that you're
- 2:54releasing tension in your outward breath, breathing and
- 3:00relaxation and exhaling tension. As you breathe in, breathe in
- 3:09deeper than you normally would. And as you exhale, just exhale
- 3:16for slightly longer if it's safe to do so and you haven't
- 3:23already. On the next outward breath,
- 3:28allow your eyelids to close, and as they close, I wonder if you
- 3:36can feel a deeper connection with yourself.
- 3:42I wonder if you're able to give more of your focused attention
- 3:49to the sound of my voice. So breathe in even deeper than
- 3:56before. A wonderful feeling of
- 4:01resourceful relaxation. And as you work out, give
- 4:09permission to let go, not just on this breath, but to let go on
- 4:17every outward breath, to only hold on to the emotions that you
- 4:23need and to let go of those that you don't.
- 4:31As you breathe in, breathe out. Just allow any feelings of
- 4:37stress and tension to continue leaving your body.
- 4:40And you start to realise that the deeper you breathe, the more
- 4:45relaxed you're becoming. And the more relaxed you're
- 4:49becoming, the deeper you breathe.
- 4:53And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 5:01And I wonder if you could imagine a Cove, a Cove of
- 5:06shells, where if you were to look on the ground, you would
- 5:10see thousands upon thousands of broken shells almost becoming
- 5:18sand. But sand made of shells.
- 5:24I want you to imagine being on that beach of shells and I want
- 5:30you to notice how many of these shells utilize spirals in some
- 5:39way. I want you to get a sense that
- 5:43there is a pattern to some of these shells that almost move
- 5:51into themselves like a spiral. So just imagine walking down
- 5:56this beach of shells and stumbling across not a broken
- 6:02shell, but a pristine, intact shell.
- 6:09One of those shells that has that spiral design to it.
- 6:16I want you to imagine holding that shell, staring into the
- 6:23spiral, and as you stare into the spiral, feel that you are
- 6:31becoming drawn into the spiral. Like the spiral of the shell has
- 6:38become a black hole, drawing your consciousness into the very
- 6:45centre of that shell. And as you feel yourself being
- 6:55drawn into the shell, I want you to wonder what it would be like
- 7:02to be transported to a different part of your consciousness.
- 7:09Some people call the consciousness, the waking state,
- 7:14a mindful state of being alert, and some people call the
- 7:20subconscious or the unconscious all the things that you're not
- 7:26aware of. You don't have to make your
- 7:31heartbeat and when you walk you don't need to think about
- 7:37putting 1 foot in front of the other.
- 7:42Most of the time when you breathe, you don't need to think
- 7:46about breathing in or breathing out.
- 7:48It just happens all by itself, and sometimes memories come into
- 7:55your mind and sometimes thoughts, words pop into your
- 8:02brain, not consciously, but unconsciously.
- 8:08So as you stare into that spiral shell, imagine that your
- 8:14conscious mind remains outside of the shell and your
- 8:20unconsciousness is activated inside the shell.
- 8:26Feel that that is awakening now, and your unconscious has a
- 8:35wonderful ability to utilize your imagination.
- 8:43Isn't that what happens when you dream at night?
- 8:48You don't consciously decide what to dream.
- 8:52Your unconscious does it for you, creating a kaleidoscope of
- 8:59different possibilities and ideas, things that are possible,
- 9:04things that are impossible, all happening.
- 9:09And it feels like it's real while you're in that dream.
- 9:15And I wonder if you could imagine dreaming of a cluster of
- 9:23rocks near that beach of shells. I want you to imagine that your
- 9:30conscious mind is far, far away, but your unconscious is
- 9:36exploring those big rocks close to the shore.
- 9:42And I want you to imagine finding the shape of a rock that
- 9:48you could comfortably sit on and stare out into the waves.
- 9:55As you do so, I want you to get a sense that sometimes the waves
- 10:02are rowdy, violent, high intensity.
- 10:11Sometimes they crash and noisy, but sometimes the sea is calm,
- 10:21no noise at all. I want you to get a sense that
- 10:27your life has a certain intensity, a certain energy.
- 10:37And I want you to imagine that the waves that you look at as
- 10:42you sit on that rock looking out into the ocean, represent the
- 10:52level of rhythm of your life right now.
- 10:58If your life is hectic and chaotic, you would imagine
- 11:03seeing the waves violently crash against the rocks.
- 11:10And if you feel that the rhythm of your life right now is more
- 11:17like a calm surface of a lake rather than the ocean, then
- 11:25start to imagine the sea becoming calmer, the waves less
- 11:32big, the crashes less noisy. I just get a sense that that is
- 11:39happening for you now. As I countdown from 12:50, I
- 11:45want you to imagine what it would be like for the waves to
- 11:50reflect the rhythm of your current life.
- 11:55So 10 just feeling calmer and more relaxed. 9 letting go of
- 12:00any tension in your jaw, and eight, releasing any tension in
- 12:06your neck and your shoulders. That's it. 7 Just feeling your
- 12:10arms feeling limp, loose and heavy.
- 12:17I want you to get a sense then you're feeling more and more
- 12:21calm with each and every outward breath.
- 12:26And then start to think of 6 your internal organs.
- 12:29Just allow your lungs, your heart, your stomach all to
- 12:31relax. And then five, focus on your
- 12:34gut. Feel your gut becoming more and
- 12:37more relaxed. 4, feeling that going down into your lower
- 12:43abdomen now, and then three, into your upper legs, just
- 12:47feeling more and more relaxed and maybe the sea is already
- 12:52starting to change for you to reflect your current rhythm of
- 12:58life. And then two, I want you to
- 13:03think of your lower legs now like your calf muscles becoming
- 13:06more and more relaxed. And then one your feet and just
- 13:10feel that wonderful rhythm, rhythm of relaxation rippling
- 13:16from your toes to the top of your head to the tips of your
- 13:20fingers. And look out at an ocean that
- 13:25reflects the current rhythm of your life.
- 13:31But how it is now may not be how you would like it to be.
- 13:42So I want you to think about how you would like the rhythm of
- 13:48your life to be. Is it even more relaxed, even
- 13:53more calm? Or would you like it with more
- 13:57adventure, excitement, energy? I want you to think about how
- 14:04you would like the energy and rhythm of your life to be over
- 14:09the next three months. Are you looking for adventure
- 14:16and drama and chaos, or are you looking for calm and
- 14:22tranquility? Because sometimes a change is as
- 14:28good as a rest. So I want you to get a sense
- 14:34that as you breathe in and breathe out, the sea is becoming
- 14:39more like the way you would want the rhythm of your life to be.
- 14:49If you want it more intense and more energetic, see the waves
- 14:53getting bigger. And if you would like your life
- 14:58to be calmer and more tranquil, see the waves becoming calmer.
- 15:06And then start to think, as you think about the new, the rhythm
- 15:14of the sea reflecting the rhythm of your life, what would that
- 15:19mean for your life? If your life is more energetic
- 15:25and intense, what do you see yourself doing?
- 15:29I want you to imagine what it would be like if a giant screen
- 15:37appeared above the ocean, almost like a holographic movie screen
- 15:46just floating above the waves. You are a spectator, seeing this
- 15:54holographic image, this movie, sitting there on the rock by the
- 16:00ocean. But I want you to see yourself
- 16:04living your life with this new energy, this new rhythm, this
- 16:10new level of intensity or tranquility.
- 16:15And maybe that more energetic, revitalized, adventurous version
- 16:20of you takes more risks, does more things, is more courageous.
- 16:28I want you to imagine what that would look like in your life.
- 16:33What do you see yourself doing? Who are you with this new level
- 16:38of intensity, this new dynamic nature?
- 16:44Or perhaps you see yourself for the next three months with a new
- 16:50level of calm and tranquility. Maybe you see yourself less
- 16:56triggered, less bothered. Things that used to make you
- 17:01angry or upset simply feel like nothing at all.
- 17:09I want you to get a sense of what that three months looks
- 17:12like. 3 months of feeling more calm, more tranquil, taking life
- 17:19as it comes. No need to rush around, no need
- 17:25to overthink, no need to stress and worry.
- 17:31See yourself in that rhythm of life with a whole new attitude.
- 17:42And maybe you can also see other people's reactions to you, this
- 17:48new version of you. If you're more intense and
- 17:53energized, see how other people respond to that.
- 17:58Maybe it means you're more proactive, decisive and dynamic.
- 18:03Perhaps even more courageous. Or that chilled version of you.
- 18:10Maybe other people noticed that you're less intense, a new level
- 18:18of you where there's less conflict, you see more easygoing
- 18:25and notice how other people respond to that version of you.
- 18:30And I want you to see the pace at which you walk, the pace at
- 18:36which you talk in this new rhythm of your life.
- 18:42Some people, when they unleash the dynamic version of them,
- 18:47tend to talk louder and faster and use more expressions.
- 18:55And some people, when they imagine themselves more calm and
- 18:59tranquil, imagine themselves speaking less loud in a slower,
- 19:08more thoughtful way. Their voice almost becomes a
- 19:13cozy blanket to people around them.
- 19:19As you get a sense of which version of you would enrich your
- 19:23life more, look back out at the ocean and realise that sometimes
- 19:31the ocean has big crashing waves and sometimes the ocean is calm.
- 19:40And what if you are the ocean? You don't have to be intense all
- 19:46the time, and you don't have to be calm and tranquil all the
- 19:52time. What if you were the ocean?
- 19:57That when you need intensity it comes to you, and when
- 20:03tranquillity and calm is useful. That comes to you.
- 20:10I want you to now see on that holographic screen above the
- 20:14ocean a version of you with more choices.
- 20:19That you can have all of that intensity when you need it, but
- 20:24also the calmness and the tranquility.
- 20:28When that becomes more useful, I want you to see a version of you
- 20:35that gets it just right. Sometimes being intense is
- 20:41useful to get that thing done. Sometimes being decisive is
- 20:47necessary to make a big decision.
- 20:51But sometimes isn't it good to just take your shoes off, find a
- 20:58comfortable place, and just relax?
- 21:02Because there's nothing you need to do, And you can just feel
- 21:07that level of relaxation as you look up on that holographic
- 21:15movie above the ocean. See yourself for the next three
- 21:18months with more choices, more balance, more of what you need
- 21:26and less of what you don't. I want you to see a version of
- 21:30you that has a whole new level of options, that the rhythm of
- 21:38your life is a reflection of what you need, when you need it.
- 21:46Because sometimes people are living in the opposite.
- 21:49They're stressed and intense, even if there's nothing to be
- 21:55stressed and intense about. So be that version of you where
- 22:02you get things just right. An equilibrium, a balance.
- 22:09Strong waves when you need it, calm waters when you need it.
- 22:13Imagine that version of you. And when you see yourself in
- 22:17that holographic movie above the ocean with the balance just
- 22:22right, imagine stepping into that version of you feeling how
- 22:30good it would feel to get the balance just right.
- 22:37Not too much stress and intensity, and not too much calm
- 22:40and relaxation, but everything proportionate to how good it
- 22:45makes you feel and how useful it is for your life.
- 22:52And when you feel like you have that feeling inside you, keep it
- 22:55within you. And then see that holographic
- 22:59movie shrink down to a dot. Imagine leaving that big rock by
- 23:06the ocean and walking back to the beach of shells prior to
- 23:14Concha. And then imagine seeing a
- 23:20spiral, pristine shell and realizing that that's where you
- 23:24really are. That's where your unconscious
- 23:27mind has been working all of this time.
- 23:31Step into the shell, unlock your unconscious, and then feel that
- 23:36you are reawakening your conscious mind as you now see
- 23:41yourself holding the very shell that you were inside just
- 23:44moments before. But hold on to this shell, keep
- 23:49it with you. This imagination of a shell will
- 23:53be a trigger to unlock these exact levels of balance, the
- 24:01exact levels of a rhythm of your life that is perfect for the
- 24:07quality of your life that you desire.
- 24:11And at some point in the future, you will find a shell that
- 24:15reminds you of this shell. And when you find it, you will
- 24:19keep it. And then that will be the new
- 24:22trigger to unleash the perfect rhythm of your life.
- 24:29It's time to leave this place, this place of thoughts within
- 24:34thoughts, ideas within ideas, dreams within dreams, and come
- 24:40back to your reality. But take this New Balance of
- 24:44rhythm in your life with you. So take a deep breath in through
- 24:50your nose and out through your nose.
- 24:55Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes start to
- 24:58connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 25:03from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:07Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 25:12More alert 7-8 Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 25:19Wide awake, Wide awake. Wide awake.
