Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: Hey, the Padres are going to the playoffs again. Mike Shelt,
- 0:05Speaker 1: their manager, joining us right now in foul Territory. Mike,
- 0:08Speaker 1: great to have you on the show. And first off, congratulations.
- 0:11Speaker 1: How pomped are you to bring this group to the postseason?
- 0:15Speaker 2: Oh? Man, thanks guys, good to be here. We're pumped,
- 0:18Speaker 2: We're excited.
- 0:20Speaker 3: You know, back to back playoffs for the Padres for
- 0:24Speaker 3: four of the last six years.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Good time to be a Padre.
- 0:28Speaker 4: I love it, shilty have you you? I'm just thank you.
- 0:31Speaker 5: I was going to say, move that water bottle and
- 0:33Speaker 5: then you're trying to hydrate after all the champagne.
- 0:35Speaker 1: He's got a water bottle deal, that's right.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Just the just the cap though, just lid with no cap.
- 0:40Speaker 6: Yeh.
- 0:40Speaker 5: But I don't think I think this is right. You've
- 0:43Speaker 5: never managed a losing team, is that correct? In your
- 0:46Speaker 5: career in the big biggies now in.
- 0:49Speaker 4: The minor league?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Like a losing record, saying a losing.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Record, have you?
- 0:53Speaker 6: No? I'm not no.
- 0:54Speaker 4: I mean that's something to hang your hat on right there.
- 0:56Speaker 5: I mean, there's not a lot of managers in this
- 0:58Speaker 5: game that can do it for as many years as
- 1:00Speaker 5: you've done it.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Never had a losing record. What's your secret?
- 1:03Speaker 3: So I can tell everybody, Oh, good players. I mean,
- 1:11Speaker 3: let's don't pretend here, let's don't kid ourselves, gentlemen.
- 1:15Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:16Speaker 4: That's a good answer.
- 1:16Speaker 1: You did good players, and you found the right team
- 1:18Speaker 1: for it with San Diego.
- 1:20Speaker 4: So so let.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Me ask you about Aj Preller and how he's looked
- 1:25Speaker 1: at by your team and your players, because I always
- 1:29Speaker 1: think that players on a contender desperately want to sign
- 1:32Speaker 1: from their front office that they care and that they're invested,
- 1:34Speaker 1: and Aj clearly is that guy. He went nuts nuts
- 1:38Speaker 1: this past trade deadline. Do you see that, Like when
- 1:40Speaker 1: you guys were popping models the other day, are they
- 1:43Speaker 1: going up to him like thanks for bringing me here
- 1:45Speaker 1: or thanks for believing in us and supplementing this absolutely?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 1:49Speaker 3: I mean, you know, listen, it's a privilege to work
- 1:52Speaker 3: with Aj. He's it's hard to qualify who's the best
- 1:57Speaker 3: general manager, who's to qualify the best anything in our industry.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I wouldn't trade it for the world.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Uh. It is so nice to work with a guy
- 2:04Speaker 3: that competes and cares and works as hard as I do,
- 2:08Speaker 3: or potentially even harder. He is all about winning, all
- 2:13Speaker 3: about the padres, and he's very he's really brilliant. He's
- 2:17Speaker 3: an amazing and now this I could say with a
- 2:20Speaker 3: lot of confidence. He is in the top five easily
- 2:22Speaker 3: and the best evaluators of talent in the game of baseball.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Along with his his staff, they're they're amazing.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Amateur scouting, International scouting Chris Kent leads that professional scouting
- 2:35Speaker 3: Pete de Young.
- 2:36Speaker 2: But AJ is a.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Not only a great evaluator and a really dedicated to
- 2:40Speaker 3: winning and but also he's got some got some real cajones.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Man.
- 2:45Speaker 3: He ain't afraid to pull the trigger and he wants
- 2:47Speaker 3: to win. And I love riding with him. We go
- 2:49Speaker 3: back and forth, and you know, we're both passionate guys,
- 2:52Speaker 3: but there's nobody I'd rather ride with his GM And
- 2:54Speaker 3: to your last point, you know, the players obviously appreciate that.
- 2:58Speaker 3: You guys have been in clubhouse, know what that feels like.
- 3:01Speaker 3: You know, we knew our part was to get to
- 3:03Speaker 3: the trade deadline and be in it, which we were.
- 3:06Speaker 3: We fault scratched and called to overcome adversity, which most
- 3:09Speaker 3: everybody does.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Became on the good.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Side, and AJ stepped in and so yeah, there's guys
- 3:14Speaker 3: that clearly love aja, include myself in our clubhouse.
- 3:17Speaker 7: There was reports before about how he is so like
- 3:21Speaker 7: he's involved with a lot of stuff.
- 3:22Speaker 4: There's arguments. You just said it.
- 3:24Speaker 7: Somebody is competitive, somebody that is smart, and somebody that
- 3:29Speaker 7: is driven. You're gonna have arguments. What's the one thing
- 3:33Speaker 7: that you guys butt heads about that also helps the
- 3:37Speaker 7: team grow and improve and you have those good quality arguments?
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's healthy. You know, we talked about this a
- 3:46Speaker 3: lot amongst ourselves. You know, like you said, passionate, competitive, driven, greater,
- 3:53Speaker 3: good conviction. But the real key to it is when
- 3:58Speaker 3: that does settles. First of all, he's our general manager,
- 4:02Speaker 3: and you know I took my hat and you know,
- 4:05Speaker 3: serve with the pleasure. But we walk out and lockstep
- 4:09Speaker 3: and that's the key to this thing. You know, we
- 4:12Speaker 3: whatever the decisions made, and he has the final hammer.
- 4:15Speaker 3: You know, we go and we ride together and and
- 4:18Speaker 3: we make it the best decision possible.
- 4:20Speaker 2: And you know, you can't ask for much more than that.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Quite honestly, Shelty, do you ever look at at Preller?
- 4:26Speaker 5: Because I appreciate all the praise that you're giving me
- 4:29Speaker 5: when you're saying I'm the best evaluator, So you got
- 4:31Speaker 5: to call him Preller because I my ego gets just
- 4:33Speaker 5: too blown up when you Okay, So, but do you
- 4:37Speaker 5: ever look at Preller and just say because I had
- 4:40Speaker 5: never met him until last time I was in San
- 4:42Speaker 5: Diego and I had played for him when he was
- 4:43Speaker 5: at the Rangers, and I'd never met him. All the
- 4:45Speaker 5: times I've been to San Diego, I met him, And
- 4:48Speaker 5: do you ever look at him and say, he look
- 4:49Speaker 5: he just dresses like a like a fifteen year old
- 4:52Speaker 5: skater boy, like off the street, because he had the
- 4:55Speaker 5: he had like the great I'm like looking at him, going, I.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Am so jealous.
- 4:57Speaker 5: He was in shorts and like a nice button up,
- 5:00Speaker 5: you know, skater shirt with the top button button, and
- 5:03Speaker 5: his hair is a mess, and I'm like, this guy's
- 5:05Speaker 5: living the life right here.
- 5:07Speaker 6: Yeah, he's living it, dude.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He He's just him.
- 5:10Speaker 3: He's authentic who he is, who he is, and I
- 5:12Speaker 3: can pretend to be anybody else. He's one of those
- 5:15Speaker 3: dudes that like has his own style that really really
- 5:18Speaker 3: works for him.
- 5:19Speaker 2: If I try it look like a complete goober.
- 5:21Speaker 3: But I'm not, you know, I don't have his style
- 5:24Speaker 3: to begin with really, So, yeah, he's got some some
- 5:27Speaker 3: game that just kind of is natural.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But he's uh, he's got his own stick.
- 5:32Speaker 7: And he can shoot some hoops too, which everybody knows.
- 5:34Speaker 7: If you ever went through the Padres system, they always
- 5:37Speaker 7: they got the nice hoop in the back, even back
- 5:39Speaker 7: in sixteen when I was there. What about Tatis? What
- 5:42Speaker 7: about Fernando Tatis? Is he have you guys gotten any
- 5:45Speaker 7: more answers about his sickness, not the flu, not COVID,
- 5:50Speaker 7: whatever it is. Is he going to be back? And
- 5:53Speaker 7: when he's back, has he lost weight? Has he you know,
- 5:57Speaker 7: been able to stay doing some baseball stuff.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, listen, he's just been sick. Man, He's
- 6:03Speaker 3: been you know, just I don't know, he's rundown. He's
- 6:06Speaker 3: he's been posting every day all season and getting after it.
- 6:09Speaker 3: You know, this guy plays, you know, plays really aggressively.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I was going to say something probably wouldn't be appropriate,
- 6:16Speaker 3: but yeah, he gets after it and you know, might
- 6:19Speaker 3: have just been gotten to the point where he got.
- 6:20Speaker 6: Sick and worn down.
- 6:21Speaker 3: And you know, just for the alarmist out there, I mean,
- 6:24Speaker 3: he's ultimately fine. You know, he's feeling better today. You know,
- 6:29Speaker 3: as far as wake goes, we monitored him pretty closely.
- 6:31Speaker 6: I think he's going to be fine.
- 6:32Speaker 3: He's a guy that you know, can lose some weight
- 6:35Speaker 3: but can put it on pretty quickly. He's really an
- 6:37Speaker 3: amazing athlete and physically as we all know. But you know,
- 6:41Speaker 3: short answer to wrap it up as we expect him
- 6:44Speaker 3: to be back tomorrow and you're ady to rock and
- 6:46Speaker 3: roll over the weekend and get ready into the playoffs.
- 6:49Speaker 7: How big of a loss is Ramon Leariano, guy that
- 6:52Speaker 7: you didn't even have before the trade deadline, and then
- 6:54Speaker 7: what he did to come in against not only against
- 6:57Speaker 7: lefties who started giving him at bats again rights and
- 7:01Speaker 7: really carried your team when the offense wasn't there. How
- 7:04Speaker 7: big of a loss is that right now?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a good point because when we acquired him,
- 7:10Speaker 3: I didn't know Ramone very well and got to know
- 7:13Speaker 3: him and clearly a talent having a great year, and
- 7:16Speaker 3: as we you know, did the research on him, it's like,
- 7:18Speaker 3: oh this dude, this dude's like top five against righties,
- 7:21Speaker 3: so he's not a splitty dude. Didn't feel they need
- 7:23Speaker 3: to platoon him and rewarded that, you know, great tough
- 7:26Speaker 3: at bats against right, he's left.
- 7:27Speaker 2: He doesn't matter.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Is a grinder, tough dude, got a real edge to him,
- 7:34Speaker 3: which I love, competitor. You know it's gonna hurt, you know,
- 7:37Speaker 3: I mean listen again, you know, as as the lineup
- 7:40Speaker 3: was starting to get back and we really hadn't had
- 7:42Speaker 3: a full lineup that you know talking about pro or
- 7:45Speaker 3: you know, his vision for it, my vision for it,
- 7:49Speaker 3: which is typical. I mean, you know it doesn't you
- 7:51Speaker 3: know a lot of teams go with that. It's not complaining,
- 7:53Speaker 3: it's just a fact. And we were about to get
- 7:56Speaker 3: that band together and you know, have him, you know
- 7:59Speaker 3: in that seven hole, which, man, that's a dangerous dude
- 8:02Speaker 3: in that spot. But he's gonna be out. It's gonna
- 8:05Speaker 3: be out for a while. You know, how deep we
- 8:08Speaker 3: go determines how likely he is to get back.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Does it hurt?
- 8:13Speaker 6: Yes?
- 8:14Speaker 3: You know, the one sound we have in our clubhouse
- 8:18Speaker 3: is you know, winters find solutions and you know we're
- 8:20Speaker 3: gonna be their support, promote and and and be there
- 8:23Speaker 3: for him to help him get back.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But no one's gonna feel sorry for us.
- 8:27Speaker 3: And you know, we got a deep team and we'll
- 8:29Speaker 3: ride what we got and we'll feel good about.
- 8:31Speaker 2: It, krats.
- 8:33Speaker 1: At some point we're gonna laugh about how healthcare was
- 8:36Speaker 1: so reactive and not proactive, and we're starting to change
- 8:40Speaker 1: that with Superpower. They believe every human has one hundred
- 8:43Speaker 1: plus year potential and they're here to help you get there.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm a big believer in this. I just started the journey,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so I'm excited about it. And what do you think?
- 8:52Speaker 7: As a player, You're always looking ways to improve yourself,
- 8:54Speaker 7: improve your health, and this is an easy, easy way.
- 8:58Speaker 7: Superpowers made it way easier than when I was playing.
- 9:01Speaker 7: You had to go get all these lab panels and
- 9:04Speaker 7: it was a long, drawn out, expensive process. But now
- 9:07Speaker 7: with Superpower, so this is awesome for me. I'm excited
- 9:09Speaker 7: about it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: They'll send a licensed professional to your home, or you
- 9:12Speaker 1: can visit a nearby lab for a limited time. The
- 9:15Speaker 1: FT fam can get fifty dollars off in annual Superpower

- 9:21Speaker 1: superpower dot com and use code foul to get our

- 9:28Speaker 1: After your purchase, they'll ask you where you heard about them,
- 9:31Speaker 1: and please support FT and tell them we sent you.
- 9:34Speaker 5: You guys have had more injuries. I don't know if
- 9:36Speaker 5: more than anybody, but you guys have had a ton
- 9:37Speaker 5: of big injuries.
- 9:38Speaker 4: And this is another one.
- 9:39Speaker 5: The last three games you got three, you're pretty much
- 9:41Speaker 5: locked in. I mean, I know you're saying, we're still
- 9:43Speaker 5: going to try and catch the Dodgers, but you know
- 9:45Speaker 5: that's not unlikely.
- 9:45Speaker 4: You're not going to catch the Cubs. It's probably unlikely.
- 9:47Speaker 5: So you're kind of locked into the five, which means
- 9:49Speaker 5: you're going to go to Chicago. But these last three
- 9:52Speaker 5: games against Arizona, are you just gonna put everybody in
- 9:54Speaker 5: bubble wrap and say please? Cause you just got Bogers back,
- 9:57Speaker 5: Loriano goes down, Adam went down not long. Are you
- 10:00Speaker 5: just gonna try and put everybody in bubble rab and
- 10:02Speaker 5: just say, please, guys, just no more injuries because I
- 10:04Speaker 5: can't handle anymore.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Dude.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I think that's fair, you know, in that sweet spot
- 10:09Speaker 3: of like we want to keep guys going, keep them in.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Um, you guys know this.
- 10:13Speaker 3: You know you want to get the proper amount of rest,
- 10:16Speaker 3: but you also need to get your you know, spice
- 10:18Speaker 3: in the dirt and keep them there and get your
- 10:20Speaker 3: bats and keep going.
- 10:22Speaker 2: You know, we'll be smart about it.
- 10:23Speaker 3: You know, with the pitching will be completely scripted as
- 10:26Speaker 3: an instructional league, but you know, we're gonna be smart
- 10:28Speaker 3: about how we set our relievers up for getting ready
- 10:31Speaker 3: for Tuesday, either way.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Home or road.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You know, Dark is gonna go tomorrow.
- 10:35Speaker 3: We'll be you know, in touch with him about what
- 10:38Speaker 3: he feels he needs for you know, moving forward into
- 10:41Speaker 3: next week.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And then the position players very similar.
- 10:45Speaker 3: You know, I expect them to ride a couple of
- 10:47Speaker 3: games and then we'll evaluate Sunday.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And see what that looks like.
- 10:51Speaker 3: But you know, clearly people need to play with you know,
- 10:54Speaker 3: the roster we have that you know, nine's got to
- 10:56Speaker 3: get out there, so but YEA, ultimately want to get there.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I want to make sure we're healthy and in the
- 11:00Speaker 3: best shape we can. We've had had we have had
- 11:03Speaker 3: some injuries that you know, and really the injuries are
- 11:06Speaker 3: been you know, on the on the unusual side. You know,
- 11:10Speaker 3: outside of Jackson's hamstring, there really hasn't been any injuries
- 11:15Speaker 3: that have been you know, attrition related.
- 11:18Speaker 2: There have been more. You know, Jason was trying to
- 11:20Speaker 2: catch a comebacker and.
- 11:21Speaker 6: You know, the the quad blue and you know.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Bogie falls the ball off his foot and are on
- 11:27Speaker 3: a good tip by a pitch. Crony gets drilled in
- 11:29Speaker 3: the ribs. You know, earlier Jackson got concussion and.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So anyway you get it. It's part of it.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And but now we'll keep him bubble wrapped and getting
- 11:37Speaker 3: ready to roll for Tuesday.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Talk about that scripted rotation.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Talk about how you guys want to set up your
- 11:44Speaker 7: rotation to win the Wildcard series. Do you have who's
- 11:50Speaker 7: going to start Game one and are there any Are
- 11:53Speaker 7: there any surprises that you're like, hey, I got to
- 11:56Speaker 7: have a conversation with this guy because we want him
- 11:59Speaker 7: to move to the pen or maybe sit out the
- 12:02Speaker 7: wild Card Series, and that could hurt somebody's feelings.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's that's got a chance to be real.
- 12:09Speaker 3: You know, decision are still about to be made. We
- 12:12Speaker 3: haven't announced our Game one starter, but I don't think
- 12:15Speaker 3: we need to, you know, do too much detective work
- 12:18Speaker 3: on that one, and then it's just a matter of
- 12:21Speaker 3: you know, making sure we're in the right spot for
- 12:24Speaker 3: games two, thinking about a game three if necessary.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You know, there's three.
- 12:29Speaker 3: We got multiple starters that to pitch well for us,
- 12:32Speaker 3: So there's gonna be some discussions there. And the good
- 12:35Speaker 3: news about our club is two things will happen when
- 12:38Speaker 3: those discussions take place. One, guys will, rightfully, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 3: potentially be disappointed and frustrated because they want to compete,
- 12:45Speaker 3: which I love that they care that much and and
- 12:48Speaker 3: what the moments. And then two, they'll go and do
- 12:52Speaker 3: what the role they need to do for the team,
- 12:53Speaker 3: because it's a very team first oriented group. So you know,
- 12:57Speaker 3: we'll we'll.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Have them ready and go compete and get after it
- 13:01Speaker 2: and take our shot.
- 13:03Speaker 4: With the bullpen that you have.
- 13:04Speaker 7: Talking about your rotation, how much are you as a
- 13:08Speaker 7: staff saying, no, we're not scripting this, We're gonna watch
- 13:12Speaker 7: the game because Nick Pavetta has been giving you guys
- 13:16Speaker 7: ridiculous innings and has gone out there and been dominant.
- 13:19Speaker 7: But you have monsters in the pen, and you have
- 13:23Speaker 7: monsters lined up to just mow dudes down. Are you saying,
- 13:28Speaker 7: all right, fourth inning, he gets one runner on in
- 13:31Speaker 7: a one run game or one runner on three run game,
- 13:35Speaker 7: We're going right to our boys because you have you
- 13:38Speaker 7: have weapons that you can go right too. How much
- 13:42Speaker 7: are you scripting it and how much are you watching
- 13:44Speaker 7: the actual game at hand, and how they're seeing your pitchers,
- 13:47Speaker 7: your starting rotation.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah, great question. Not scripted, absolutely.
- 13:55Speaker 6: You know, I don't feel and believe.
- 13:57Speaker 3: In that the script the aware and this really is
- 14:00Speaker 3: where the best matchups are at certain points in the game,
- 14:04Speaker 3: not only for the game at that moment, because as
- 14:07Speaker 3: we all know, you know, there are just moments in
- 14:10Speaker 3: the game that you can feel that that are you
- 14:13Speaker 3: know this, this is a big.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Part of the game.
- 14:15Speaker 3: This can sway the game one way or the other
- 14:17Speaker 3: and be ready for what those possibilities are and then
- 14:20Speaker 3: make the decision for who's the best to to take
- 14:24Speaker 3: care of that situation at that moment. So it's a
- 14:28Speaker 3: it's a balancing act, you know, there's one of which
- 14:31Speaker 3: that I'm gonna look and see what's in front of
- 14:34Speaker 3: us and see what we have. If if, as your example,
- 14:37Speaker 3: Nick's commanded the baseball throwing, well, the matchups are still good.
- 14:42Speaker 3: It's at a point in the game where it makes sense. Yes,
- 14:45Speaker 3: he's gonna ride, you know that. That's that For me,
- 14:48Speaker 3: it's more common sense. You know, there's no clear science
- 14:53Speaker 3: to this. You take your best understanding of the situation
- 14:58Speaker 3: and the big picture of the game relative to where
- 15:00Speaker 3: it is, what ending, that is what you know you
- 15:03Speaker 3: have relative to the rest of the game. And then
- 15:06Speaker 3: you also clearly have an awareness that, yeah, we have
- 15:09Speaker 3: a back in the bullpen. It's very talented, and you know,
- 15:12Speaker 3: in a shorter series the bullpen can come into play,
- 15:14Speaker 3: more guys can grab you know, we do have a
- 15:16Speaker 3: three potentially three games in a row scenario. But you know,
- 15:21Speaker 3: you're you're scratching and calling to get too man and
- 15:24Speaker 3: you take down that first, and you take it down
- 15:26Speaker 3: and you know, you know the guys that have a
- 15:30Speaker 3: chance to get extended a little bit more than they're
- 15:32Speaker 3: used to, and you just you weigh it out so
- 15:35Speaker 3: you really see the game in.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Front of you.
- 15:37Speaker 3: You know where the inflection points are for the matchups,
- 15:41Speaker 3: and then when you hit those spots, you read what
- 15:43Speaker 3: the situation is, you make your decision and go from there.
- 15:47Speaker 5: All right, so it's gonna be Paveta, we know, and
- 15:50Speaker 5: then the one we know that, okay, But then then
- 15:53Speaker 5: you have your choice of you Darvius who is three
- 15:55Speaker 5: and two of the two three six against the Cubs.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Dylan Sees is four and two of the two four
- 16:00Speaker 5: seven against the Cubs, and he used to be a Cup.
- 16:02Speaker 5: So he hates the Cubs like we all do. So
- 16:04Speaker 5: we know that he wants to pitch against the Cubs.
- 16:06Speaker 5: But then you have Michael King, so I mean you
- 16:09Speaker 5: have some options. Would you think about bumping one of
- 16:12Speaker 5: those guys, especially in the short series, to the bullpen
- 16:15Speaker 5: and saying, hey, you're my length guy if we need it.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I think that'll be on the table.
- 16:20Speaker 3: You know, we haven't thought os anything, but just the
- 16:22Speaker 3: math tells you it's on the table with two games
- 16:25Speaker 3: and three guys that we trust. And you mentioned that
- 16:29Speaker 3: that the pet success there pitching there, you know, obviously
- 16:33Speaker 3: Darbish just you know, pitched years there. So yeah, oh
- 16:36Speaker 3: that's on the table.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, Darvish also hates the Cups because he played there,
- 16:41Speaker 5: so we know anyone that played in Chicago that you know,
- 16:43Speaker 5: they all everyone hates the Cups, including you.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Don't die.
- 16:46Speaker 5: Don't deny because you're a cardinal guy at Hart, so
- 16:48Speaker 5: you can deny it, but we know it's right, Okay, exactly,
- 16:54Speaker 5: it's okay, I.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Admit all the time. Right before I let you go.
- 16:58Speaker 5: He got ejected last night, only the second time this year,
- 17:01Speaker 5: So I'm proud of you. It's only your second one
- 17:03Speaker 5: this year. But what is the average fine for a manager?
- 17:06Speaker 5: Is it like five hundred bucks to fifty one thousand?
- 17:08Speaker 5: And is that why your your apartment that you're in
- 17:11Speaker 5: is one it doesn't look like it's on the beach.
- 17:13Speaker 5: And too, it doesn't look like it has any furniture
- 17:14Speaker 5: in it. So can we get someone to contribute, like
- 17:17Speaker 5: maybe Manny, throw you some money to get you some furniture.
- 17:21Speaker 3: All right, well I'm gonna I'm gonna first of all,
- 17:24Speaker 3: I ask you the question, and then I'll flip the screen.
- 17:28Speaker 3: But the picture gets a little liked because there is
- 17:31Speaker 3: a water view. It's usually it depends. It depends, like honestly,
- 17:36Speaker 3: I think yesterday I'm looking at probably no fine.
- 17:41Speaker 2: It was like, wasn't personal?
- 17:44Speaker 3: My guess is My hope actually is that it's you know,
- 17:47Speaker 3: just hey man, you know it happened, and see you later.
- 17:51Speaker 2: The average finds one thousand dollars and it goes to
- 17:56Speaker 2: the Bats, you know.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Bats Charity, which you know again you know it's good calls.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Oh you're mad?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Okay, man?
- 18:12Speaker 4: Oh, I know I know what. I don't know why
- 18:14Speaker 4: I said that, because I know exactly where you live.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Do you live in the same neighborhood as one of
- 18:19Speaker 5: your announcers and your name of the street is not
- 18:22Speaker 5: near as cool as his.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Name of his street.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I'm not going to say the name, but you know
- 18:29Speaker 5: what I'm talking about. But do you have a miniat?
- 18:31Speaker 5: Do you have a miniyacht like your announcer has. No,
- 18:35Speaker 5: I do not have a mini yacht. Playoffs for the boat.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I gotta get that big playoff share people.
- 18:43Speaker 4: That don't know Don Rosilla has like a mini yacht.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that is like.
- 18:47Speaker 5: It's like a two person little boat. He goes out
- 18:49Speaker 5: in the backyard where Chilty just showed us, and he
- 18:51Speaker 5: goes fishing.
- 18:52Speaker 4: I said, dude, Dot, we've worked together a lot of times.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Can I not get.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Invite it on the miniat? He's like, the weight limit
- 18:57Speaker 5: is like two hundred and eighty pounds. He's like, I
- 18:59Speaker 5: think we'll to minium.
- 19:02Speaker 4: It's a one so it's a one one person. We'll
- 19:06Speaker 4: take it.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Well, Mike probably has access to in the off season exactly. Chilty,
- 19:13Speaker 1: thanks so much for joining us. Really appreciate congrats again
- 19:15Speaker 1: on making the postseason and good luck.
- 19:17Speaker 2: We'll be watching. Appreciate you Guys always a pleasure.
