- 0:00Well, it's time for another edition of the Urantia Radio
- 0:03Podcast. And I'm so glad that you're with
- 0:04me. And I do want to apologize.
- 0:07I, I try to crank out at least one or two segments a week.
- 0:11But frankly, it's been crazy and there's been all kinds of
- 0:15activity with other things. And we've been traveling quite a
- 0:18bit at the Watkins household trying to take care of some
- 0:21affairs. But I hope to be back on track.
- 0:24And don't, don't worry, along the way there were all kinds of
- 0:28things that that we were talking about.
- 0:30And then I especially wanted to get to and I wrote furious notes
- 0:35and I'm back and I want to talk about prayer and worship for a
- 0:40few reasons. Namely, the first is because I
- 0:43believe that this is the time where prayers are really needed
- 0:47on a, on a perhaps a planetary level.
- 0:50And I want to get to a little bit about that and what the
- 0:52Urantia Book has to say about prayer and worship.
- 0:55I also believe that there is a deficit of people, perhaps even
- 1:00generational people that have not been raised in church or
- 1:04don't have a sort of a Christian rooted philosophy or theology
- 1:09that that don't know what prayer and worship really are.
- 1:13And maybe just maybe they haven't been properly introduced
- 1:17to these two components that allow us to be at our spiritual
- 1:20best. So we'll get to that.
- 1:22I also want to spend a little bit of time talking about the
- 1:27effects of the Cal Caligasa 100. I've given a lot of thought to
- 1:33this, and I went so far even as to write what I think might be a
- 1:37good idea for a book or a movie, and it's centered around ban,
- 1:41ban and of course, Amazon and what they had to endure.
- 1:45So I might spend a little bit of time on that.
- 1:48And then of course, our main focus is on prayer and worship.
- 1:51I also want to let you know that the Urantia Radio dot org
- 1:55website is up. So anytime you miss an episode,
- 1:58you can go to the Spotify platform or if you have your own
- 2:02podcast platform or Apple or iTunes, share the podcast with
- 2:07folks you think you might have some interest in taking a
- 2:10spiritual path. Maybe they need some
- 2:12reassurance. But this podcast will always be
- 2:16here for you. And we explore the 5th epical
- 2:18revelation right here. And that's pretty momentous.
- 2:21We're talking about something on the level of epical.
- 2:26It is an epical revelation because we're introduced to
- 2:29knowledge that mankind has been searching for for millennia.
- 2:36And we'll talk about a lot of things this time.
- 2:38Take a quick timeout for sponsors and we'll be right
- 2:41back. You're listening to the Urantia
- 2:42Radio podcast. For those who don't know, the
- 3:00story of of Van and the 100 talking a lot about the ancient
- 3:06aliens, actually, who were the ancient aliens?
- 3:10I want to spend a moment on that because the Urantia book says a
- 3:13lot about these ancient aliens and who they were, and it
- 3:18answers a lot of questions that people in the ufology community
- 3:21are looking for. Was there a one time alien race
- 3:25that came from somewhere else? Well, yeah, actually if you read
- 3:29about it in the Urantia book, about the time that the colored
- 3:32races appeared, the Sanguk race, about the time it was coinciding
- 3:38with the appearance of Calagasia, who was a planetary
- 3:42Prince. And he serves at the pleasure of
- 3:45Michael of Nebadon. He's a Landon and ex son and his
- 3:50superior Lucifer, who was the system sovereign at about the
- 3:53same time. And then the brief story is that
- 3:56there was there was a war in heaven as depicted in the Bible
- 4:01and elsewhere. And what we had was self
- 4:05assertion, the liberty doctrine. Lucifer had declared that God
- 4:10was dead, and that it was nothing more than a way for
- 4:14Michael and the other High Administrators of the universe
- 4:17to assert their own authority. And at that time, Caligastia,
- 4:23who was here serving as planetary prints along with his
- 4:26material staff 100 had declared his loyalty to Lucifer, and this
- 4:34set into motion a complete destruction of the plan of
- 4:37mortal ascendancy for us. And at that time there were not
- 4:41that many colored races, though there were a few here and there.
- 4:44And they were certainly superior to their Denisovan brothers, and
- 4:48certainly they were more superior than the
- 4:50Neanderthalers, who had pretty much dominance over much of the
- 4:54earth at that time. And so it was time for Savage
- 4:59Man to get instruction. And this was the beginnings of
- 5:02the 100. And their rule was in that area
- 5:04known as the Persian Gulf, what they called Dalamatia.
- 5:08And you can read all about it in the Urantia book.
- 5:11It certainly is one of the more odd sections of the book in Part
- 5:163, but it's, according to the Urantra revelators, based in
- 5:20fact. And it's interesting because
- 5:23Van, one of the heroes who decided to keep his allegiance
- 5:27towards Christ, Michael, along with his human counterpart
- 5:30Amidon. And think about this for a
- 5:33moment. Here are these 100 ascenders
- 5:36that had lived material lives of their own on their own worlds.
- 5:40In fact, the Urantia revelators tell us none of the 100 lived on
- 5:44the same planet of their mortal experience.
- 5:48And so they volunteer for this service.
- 5:50They come to Urantia, our world and their and their goal is to
- 5:55civilize savage man, to prepare him for that one day in the
- 5:59future when a material son and daughter would arrive, which
- 6:02would be Adam and Eve. And the whole plan was disrupted
- 6:06by this rebellion, and to this day, it has not been fully
- 6:10adjudicated. Many Urantia book readers
- 6:13speculate that the ancients of days have or are about to make
- 6:18their final ruling. But that could be decades,
- 6:22thousands of years of. And I've heard, I've heard
- 6:24people tell me that they believe that the reason that there's so
- 6:27much evil in the world today is because Caligastia, who is still
- 6:31here and who has not been taken and is not in the Father's world
- 6:38in detention, as is Lucifer and, and Satan, his assistant.
- 6:44And so he's still able to roam free.
- 6:46And when you look at some of the evil going on in the world
- 6:48today, it's easy to believe that perhaps Calagastia is asserting
- 6:54his influence and to those who really want to side with him.
- 6:58And that also is explained in the Urantia book The Downfall of
- 7:02Calagastia. Should read it.
- 7:05We haven't done so in a long time.
- 7:07But the Oriental revelator say that man is also perfectly
- 7:10capable of being evil in his own right.
- 7:14And it usually happens when they separate themselves from God or
- 7:18they fall into the false belief that there is no God, which is a
- 7:22very prevalent belief in today's world, unfortunately.
- 7:28So the story goes that Van and Abadon stayed loyal.
- 7:30They continue to try to set up these areas of early
- 7:35civilization. And interestingly, Lake Van
- 7:39still bears his name. Lake Van in eastern Turkey,
- 7:42which was where he went after the fall of Dalamatia, and then
- 7:48also other tribal areas along the Caspian Sea in the region,
- 7:52the Dopec Gog Dog region, I think it's called.
- 7:57And these were early. If you go back in time and look
- 8:00at some of the archaeological digs, it turns out to be very
- 8:02true that in Mesopotamia there are fragments of early
- 8:07civilization. And the Urantia book tells us
- 8:11who these early civilizers were and they were the remnants, the
- 8:1640 or so that remain loyal to the plan of teaching human
- 8:21beings basic concepts like agriculture, home life, hygiene,
- 8:27plumbing, animal husbandry, using animals as label as
- 8:34machines really. And they were able to inculcate
- 8:38some of the of the different colored races with some of
- 8:41these, the Blue Man, the red man did receive a, a faint help from
- 8:47the 100 or what was remaining of the 100.
- 8:52So we have that story. And I and I, I was focusing on
- 8:55it for a long time because I thought to myself, you know,
- 8:58what about if I go through the ascension process or you and we
- 9:02go through the mansion worlds and we're on Jerusalem for a
- 9:05period of time, taking in our instruction, learning the
- 9:08different languages, the language of Nebadon, learning
- 9:13about the Father, correcting the mistakes, our intellectual and
- 9:18personality natures, removing the, the vestiges of the flesh.
- 9:25And then we, we one day get asked if we want to volunteer
- 9:28for service on some other world that might be going through that
- 9:31period of early civilization. And, and then you conceive of
- 9:37the time frame of Nod and Van and Hap and all these others,
- 9:45hundreds of thousands of years they stayed and they labored.
- 9:49And then finally, when the material sun came, Adam and Eve,
- 9:54they departed, they went back on their way and continued their
- 9:57ascendant journey. I just I, I find the whole story
- 9:59fascinating. And it's it's really just a
- 10:03brief narrative in the Urantia book.
- 10:04But man, it's just it, it actually provokes more questions
- 10:08than an answers, but it definitely gives us a touchstone
- 10:13on where all these so-called ancient aliens came from.
- 10:16They came from Jerusalem. Now, many of my ufology friends
- 10:21would probably disagree with me, but you know, the bigger story
- 10:25here is not so much that who they were, but what they were
- 10:28trying to do. And they were the first
- 10:30revelation given to our our planet.
- 10:33And it came at a time when mortals could just barely
- 10:36understand. And they adopted some of the
- 10:39practices and then they went out and they founded their own
- 10:43pockets of civilization. And all of it is narrated in the
- 10:48Urantia book right there for people to see.
- 10:52So it's an interesting story and one of many.
- 10:55And it it reassures my faith that in time, all things unfold.
- 11:01We have no idea the conception of reality based on an eternal
- 11:06conception, the fact that we won't die after we've survived
- 11:12the mortal ascension. Unless of course, we later
- 11:15choose that not to accept the divine plan, which is always a
- 11:21possibility and must forever remain so.
- 11:24Because that is the nature of free will, isn't it?
- 11:28God gave us free will to choose good.
- 11:31And Speaking of God, I, I had AI help me assemble a list of some
- 11:36of my favorite quotes. And I want to do some quotes and
- 11:39I want to spend a little bit of time on prayer and worship.
- 11:43And I picked some of the big ones.
- 11:45And I want to focus on prayer because what is prayer but
- 11:47connecting to the spiritual source?
- 11:52And I want to read some of these great quotes.
- 11:53Maybe they'll help you. Maybe they'll give you a sense
- 11:56of hope in a world that right now is being ravaged by a lot of
- 12:01different negative forces. So there's good out there and
- 12:03there's a lot of good happening if you look for it, but there's
- 12:06also a lot of danger out there. So now would be a good time to
- 12:11tap into that spiritual resource that's available to you through
- 12:16the central of your mind where rests the the Spirit of the
- 12:19Father. So here's one the value of
- 12:21prayer. Prayer is designated to make man
- 12:24less thinking but more realizing.
- 12:26It is not designed to increase knowledge, but rather to expand
- 12:30insight. That comes from paper 91, prayer
- 12:35as a spiritual exercise. Prayer is the breath of the soul
- 12:40and should lead to personal cooperation with the Divine
- 12:45plan. From Paper 144, Prayer and
- 12:51personal growth. The act of prayer restores one's
- 12:55spiritual perspective even in the face of great personal
- 12:59tribulation. Also from Paper 91 Jesus on the
- 13:06power of sincere prayer. Sincere prayers of the soul are
- 13:11always answered. Sometimes the answer is greatly
- 13:15delayed while the spirit world devises a better answer to meet
- 13:20the real need. Prayer in the will of God from
- 13:25paper 91. Also, prayer does not change the
- 13:28divine attitude, but often it effectually alters man's
- 13:33attitude towards life. Prayer is a technique of
- 13:39detachment from daily routine, of retreat, from the monotonous
- 13:44grind of material existence. Your Father knows what you need
- 13:51before you ask him, said Jesus. But this form of communication
- 13:55with the divine will ever enlarge your capacity to
- 13:59receive. It comes from the life and
- 14:03teachings of Jesus, from Paper 91.
- 14:07The highest prayer is intelligent communion with the
- 14:10personal and spiritual realities of the universe.
- 14:15Prayer, even as a purely human practice, represents the most
- 14:19effective method of making contact with the spirit
- 14:23realities and personal influences of the spiritual
- 14:26world. Prayer and spiritual discipline.
- 14:31Genuine prayer adds to spiritual growth, modifies attitudes, and
- 14:36yields that satisfaction which comes from communion with
- 14:41Divinity. Again, from paper 91.
- 14:45It sounds to me like paper 91. That might be worth revisiting.
- 14:52So let's now focus on worship, because worship and prayer are
- 14:55two distinct differences. So how are they different?
- 14:59Well, let's examine it from paper 27.
- 15:02Worship is the act of a part identifying itself with the
- 15:06whole, the finite with the infinite, the Son with the
- 15:09Father, time with eternity. Worship is the highest privilege
- 15:15and the first duty of all created intelligences.
- 15:21True worship is the sincere pursuit of divine values and the
- 15:26wholehearted recognition of divine realities.
- 15:32That was from paper 143, Probably the words of Jesus from
- 15:37paper 5. Prayer is a function of
- 15:40religion, but worship is an experience of the spiritual
- 15:44nature. Jesus said the time has come
- 15:48when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and
- 15:52in truth, for the Father seeks such to worship Him.
- 15:59Worship is the technique of looking to the One for the
- 16:02inspiration to serve the many. Worship is the highest joy of
- 16:08time, a foretaste of the pleasures of eternity.
- 16:14Worship is the act of a personal being yielding spiritual loyalty
- 16:21to a spirit being who is the source of such personality.
- 16:26Worship is intended to anticipate the better realities
- 16:30of eternal progression, to foreshadow the eternal
- 16:33adventure. And finally, this worship is the
- 16:38act of recognizing and communing with the whole, the finite
- 16:43attempt to communicate with the infinite, the time space
- 16:47creature in communion with the timeless Creator.
- 16:52So those are 10 quotes on worship, 10 quotes on prayer.
- 16:58For me personally, I find the best time to pray or to worship
- 17:03is as the sun is setting or the sun is rising.
- 17:05I don't know. For some reason, I I don't
- 17:08worship the son and I would never community confuse myself
- 17:11with the son separate from the the spirit of the father, but to
- 17:15me only because because all sons, All Stars to me represent
- 17:22that aspect of physical power of paradise in paradise, of course,
- 17:27reflects the attitude and the will of the Father.
- 17:30So it's easy for me to connect and it's such an inspiring
- 17:33thing. And I just feel like there's all
- 17:34this spiritual energy coming in from the light and the heat and
- 17:38it helps me settle my mind. And indeed, prayer.
- 17:43Prayer is talking to God, worship is thanking him.
- 17:49And I think that's where we'll leave it this time on a brief,
- 17:52yet I hope important segment of the Urantia book.
- 17:57I just if you have an opportunity this week, read the
- 18:01100 and try to imagine what it had been like way back then,
- 18:07when human beings were nothing more than really savage animals.
- 18:11Barely. And if you want to know what we
- 18:14have looked like if we had not received any, any of the gifts
- 18:20that we received over the millennia from our unseen
- 18:23friends, look no further than some of these tribes that still
- 18:26exist in places like Indonesia. You'll get a real wake up call
- 18:30to what humanity might look like today without the gifts of the
- 18:35father and his sons. So we'll catch up again real
- 18:38soon. I'll have another great update
- 18:40for you. We're going to have a great
- 18:41interview with Halbert Katzen. He wrote a terrific article
- 18:45about the Urantia movement and he promised that he and I would
- 18:48get together. And we haven't gotten together
- 18:49in a while. So we hope to have that up
- 18:52within the next couple of weeks. Of course, this is resurrection
- 18:55season. I hope that you had time to
- 18:58reflect on the resurrection and the Spirit of truth and
- 19:01Pentecost and all those wonderful things.
- 19:04Until next time, thanks again and don't forget the website
- 19:07yourrancherradio.org. God bless and and be of good
- 19:11cheer.
