- 0:00The biggest take away from this interview?
- 0:01Manny, you're burying the lead. Ian listens to the show.
- 0:04Ian is Fasdev. Victory for the Forsaken.
- 0:09For Lauderon for the Karen tour. For.
- 0:14Pandaria. For calendar to.
- 0:20The burning region for Gilnaeus or has not done for the Lich
- 0:27King for the Sindori. For the alliance.
- 0:35For the Horde, for Azeroth. Hello everybody, and welcome to
- 0:38yet another episode of For Azeroth.
- 0:41I am one of your hosts, Manny AKA the Truvan.
- 0:44Manny and I am joined by the lovely Lex.
- 0:47Lex, how are you and how's the World of Warcraft treating you
- 0:50this week? Manny, I am great.
- 0:53We are getting a cold front coming in, which is making me
- 0:55very happy because I'm a cold weather girl.
- 0:57So the next week is all going to be mid to low 70s.
- 1:01I am on the moon, I am flying high.
- 1:03This is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
- 1:06And the World of Warcraft is treating me well too.
- 1:07I am actually still doing some mythic plus.
- 1:11My team is hoping to do at least enough of the break the meta to
- 1:17get the cute little, the cute little, I think you like a
- 1:20banner. Yeah, fun little stuff.
- 1:22So I'm getting back on Havoc Demon Hunter enough to do a
- 1:25couple 10s because we do already have healers and so we figured
- 1:29it would make the most sense for that to be my mind meta
- 1:32breaking. And I'm having fun with it.
- 1:34I'm enjoying doing Mythic Plus just for the sake of doing
- 1:36Mythic Plus. It's crazy.
- 1:39Very nice, Very nice. And also joining us is the
- 1:42sensational Sean. Sean, how are you?
- 1:46Not great, Manny. It's been a hell of a week.
- 1:48House issues up and down. Property taxes in the island of
- 1:52Prince Edward are crazy. Yeah, but other than that, I'm
- 1:59healthy. I have my dog.
- 2:00I have my loved ones. I have these two great people to
- 2:03talk to you. I just realized you always give
- 2:05us an adjective. The lovely Lex.
- 2:07The loquacious Lex, the sensational shot.
- 2:09Well, we never have an opportunity to give one to you.
- 2:11There's no marvelous Manny, you know.
- 2:15Yeah, because I'm introducing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:17I don't like that. I think you should introduce
- 2:19yourself as the terrific true villain Manny or the marvelous
- 2:24Manuel T villain. True villain, sort of a already
- 2:29a qualifier. I know this is cliche, but I
- 2:31think we should lean into the Manny, the myth, the legend.
- 2:33I think that's perfect. I think that's what we I'm sure
- 2:37you've heard that every single day of your life, Manny.
- 2:40It's not it's not the not the first time I've heard it.
- 2:44I've had I've had many names over the years, as it were.
- 2:47But we're here to talk about the World of Warcraft.
- 2:50We are back, the three of us. We did a special that is out
- 2:55there for the patrons where we talked about the lore, because
- 2:58everybody's been talking about the lore and everything that
- 3:00happened with the release of 12.0 Point Sevens little story
- 3:07bit last week. And this week we're back and we
- 3:10are talking about a number of things, including a
- 3:12clarification of that lore. So senior quest designer Keith
- 3:18Riley went on to X to clarify some misconceptions about last
- 3:23week's lore debate. The cinematic at the heart of
- 3:26the controversy depicts the in game hair and air perspective.
- 3:30And the thread goes on to point out that the visions of the hair
- 3:34and air, while they can have gaps or inaccuracies, are
- 3:39supposed to have a general truth.
- 3:42But this is the hair in ours perspective.
- 3:45So he concludes that this was not a definitive account.
- 3:49This is not Blizzard saying that this is how it is and there's no
- 3:52other way. So people can drop their
- 3:54pitchforks and we can get some calm back on Wow lore in the
- 4:00Twitterverse, as it were. Lex, does this.
- 4:03Does this help put your heart at ease?
- 4:05Yeah, well, I'm my heart's not ease for the quest designers
- 4:09because didn't people lose their whole sweet minds when the
- 4:11Newser or whoever it was said that Chronicles was meant to be
- 4:16from the perspective of the Titans?
- 4:18Which, to be fair, as somebody who owns all the Chronicles, I
- 4:21understand a little bit of the rage with that because those
- 4:23boys are expensive. But I don't I don't know that
- 4:27the the the World of Warcraft always loves the fact that the
- 4:30lore we're getting is not necessarily truth, but I do I
- 4:33think it's a good way to tell a story, right?
- 4:35You don't know who's necessarily a perfectly consistent narrator.
- 4:41You don't know who you can trust beyond what the characters know.
- 4:45Sometimes you do know other stuff because you spent $50 on a
- 4:49book that's basically a World of Warcraft textbook and so you
- 4:53have some degree of background knowledge that the characters
- 4:55don't have. I I think that good storytelling
- 4:57does involve some degree of ability, the writer's ability to
- 5:03perspective shift and to give information that only some
- 5:06people have or that nobody has. And and to withhold information
- 5:09versus everyone is just play acting and has the entire went
- 5:13to World of Warcraft high school and knows everything that
- 5:16happened in the World of Warcraft and is going forth with
- 5:19their life with full knowledge and and know nothing to
- 5:23discover. So I'm happy.
- 5:26You're happy generally. OK, John, are you going to throw
- 5:31out and burn your codexes, your compendiums, or are you somewhat
- 5:35better with this new understanding?
- 5:37I actually do think the Chronicles not being a true
- 5:40telling is a mistake. I stopped.
- 5:42I bought. I stopped buying them when that
- 5:43announcement came out. I have.
- 5:44I owned the first one and then didn't buy any others after that
- 5:47announcement. They should be a true telling in
- 5:49my opinion. In my but in game, everything is
- 5:53from the point of view of whoever is telling you that
- 5:54story. And if you took the time to read
- 5:56any of the quest text in the rest of that campaign chapter,
- 6:00you would have known that everything was coming from the
- 6:02Harendar point of view. And that doesn't have their own
- 6:04point of view. And if you had done any of the
- 6:06questing in Harendar when Midnight launched, you would
- 6:10have learned a lot of the same stuff.
- 6:12All of it. It was really strange to see
- 6:14Twitter go crazy over this piece of lore when everything else
- 6:19that we've heard contradicted it.
- 6:21And they were all like, oh, they're retconning their own
- 6:23expansion in expansion. And it's like, it's very
- 6:27confusing that yeah, I don't know.
- 6:29I guess the strange part for me is they're upset that things
- 6:34that they think everybody should know, everybody should know that
- 6:37elves gained from trolls, that, you know, dark elves, dark
- 6:40trolls don't evolve with it. Everybody should know this when
- 6:43I I mean, I would put a high wager that there are people who
- 6:47are making those statements who don't know what's happening one
- 6:49block over in their own home in their own town.
- 6:51You know what I mean? Like to say that this is just
- 6:55knowledge everybody should have in a plant on a planet where you
- 6:58can't really tell me how the pyramids were built is crazy to
- 7:01me. It's crazy that, you know,
- 7:03that's they, they expect these things that that just aren't
- 7:06possible. And I don't know, it's, I just
- 7:08sometimes feel like people get angry just for the sake of the
- 7:10story. People decided they were angry
- 7:12at some point, however many expansions ago.
- 7:15It doesn't matter what happens, they're just going to be.
- 7:17Angry Sean, can I push you a little bit on the Chronicles
- 7:20tape? Because I actually feel like
- 7:20it's a little relevant. So I when I first heard it, I
- 7:24was kind of in agreement, right? I'm spending all this money on
- 7:26these books that you claim Mouth of God and then now all of a
- 7:29sudden you're saying actually it's not mouth of God.
- 7:31I do actually think, though, that this whole situation with
- 7:33the Herrin ear quest maybe changes my mind a little bit
- 7:36because I don't know that the World of Warcraft community as a
- 7:39whole would be able to to tolerate there being something,
- 7:43especially something big that they know that the game is not
- 7:48willing to admit. First, I will say I think that
- 7:51I'm steel manning a little bit because I think the reason they
- 7:54decided to make the chronicles not mouth of God is they wanted
- 7:58the ability to wreck on it, right.
- 8:00They wanted the ability to say, Oh, that was just what the
- 8:02Titans thought. So I understand that I'm I'm
- 8:05giving them a little bit more credit than maybe they're due.
- 8:07But I do also kind of understand from this whole situation why
- 8:12the board developers maybe would feel like if we're going to tell
- 8:16somebody, we need this to be something that also is known in
- 8:19game. Otherwise they're going to freak
- 8:21out every single time something is sat in game.
- 8:23And they're like, but use that in Chronicles that it's
- 8:25different, right? OK, I I can see that.
- 8:29I can conceive a little. I just find it hard to believe
- 8:32that the Titans would lie to us. That's true.
- 8:35Why would they deceive us like that?
- 8:37If I know anything, it's books that are historical.
- 8:40Depictions in real life are always factual and the true
- 8:45accounting of what happened. No slant.
- 8:48They never have to make newer versions of those.
- 8:52It's history, it's all we all know exactly what happened
- 8:55perfectly and there's no debate over anything.
- 8:57Are they retconning the old? Testament.
- 8:59What's happening? I just imagined that
- 9:03conversation happened. There was no Twitter back then,
- 9:05right? So it was just like around the
- 9:08you said this. Was mouth of God that's.
- 9:10Right, that's right. Oh, now they're reckoning the
- 9:12old man. I wish I could have been there
- 9:17for that one. I think they should.
- 9:21I think we should if I had a time machine and go back in time
- 9:23to give them X just so that we could see these conversations
- 9:27happen in real time. I think human history has not
- 9:31had enough people debating with strangers.
- 9:33That's my take. Yeah.
- 9:34So it takes, you know, that one I could sign on.
- 9:37I'm 100% behind that. One So from this, what do you
- 9:41guys feel is closest to the truth or what do you feel is the
- 9:45truth for the genealogy of the troll, the trolls, the owls, the
- 9:51harneer? There was a race before, like I
- 9:56think they're all, I think they are all related.
- 9:58They all descend from 1 something.
- 10:01We don't know what that is. There's a book with full gene
- 10:03where he's like, hey, we don't know what we were called before.
- 10:05We were called trolls And I, I do believe that they are, are
- 10:07all on the same tree. I don't know that the ordering
- 10:10necessarily is like, you know, Oh no, it was Imani and then it
- 10:12was dark spear and then it was, you know, it's just they're all
- 10:15on the same tree somewhere along the line.
- 10:17You know, the hair and ear sort of line up with what we know of
- 10:19dark trolls already. So and we call them dark, but
- 10:22maybe they don't call themselves dark trolls, You know what I
- 10:24mean? I I'm certain there are real
- 10:26world examples of people who call themselves one thing who
- 10:29then got called something else by other people later on.
- 10:32You know what I mean? And it's like.
- 10:33Hi Elf Cinderi. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 10:36Yeah, there's one that was a good one.
- 10:39Yeah. So I, I think they're all
- 10:41related and it's just somewhere along the line.
- 10:42Like I said, the hair and ear sound a lot like the description
- 10:45we got of dark trolls. They stayed out of the site.
- 10:47They stayed of the site. They live in the caves a lot.
- 10:49The Titans weren't super aware of them and then some of them
- 10:51became a night olives, some of them became some of them stayed
- 10:54and, you know became whatever. So somewhere around there.
- 10:56But I I mean, ultimately it doesn't doesn't matter like the
- 10:59do we need to know like does it? Is it super important to the in
- 11:02game universe that the young goal came before the torrents?
- 11:07Does that? Is that really affecting
- 11:09anybody's day-to-day gameplay? I.
- 11:11Don't think it affects gameplay, but I think it does in intrigue
- 11:15people, like when we find out that the dwarves came from the
- 11:19earth and when we discover the flesh of the curse of flesh,
- 11:22when we come across the Valk here and the like proto humans.
- 11:27And that that like context to the world is what these lore
- 11:30people love, right? What they go nuts about, what
- 11:33they fight over on Twitter about.
- 11:35So there's definitely engagement there.
- 11:36We started by just conceding that back.
- 11:39That's true, that's true. I did see a current popular fan
- 11:44websites residing lore expert make a post saying that a thing
- 11:50didn't exist and then somebody sent them a screenshot from a
- 11:53book completely contradicting what they said.
- 11:55And there was the lore expert for popular fan websites
- 11:58response was I never actually read that book.
- 12:02OK. All right.
- 12:03We can have gaps. In fairness, there's a lot of
- 12:06books. I don't know what this is.
- 12:07I have no context to this. Yeah, I, I think that what I'm
- 12:13hoping from this is that maybe we see a progenitor race or that
- 12:19something about this is more of like more integral to the plot
- 12:25than just like, yeah, we needed to get you together to like send
- 12:28you on your way to the Isle of Coils.
- 12:31Like it would be a good way of, of it coming back if it is a
- 12:36seed that they're planting. Because they had said back when
- 12:39we were starting the World Soul Saga that hey, they were willing
- 12:41to plant seeds that would come to fruition much later.
- 12:45I'm hoping that this is a way of doing that where they go where
- 12:49they, I don't know, have a virus that affects that affects trolls
- 12:54and inherent or but then not the elves.
- 12:56And it's like, wait, what is that about?
- 12:58Right? Something like that.
- 13:00So if they or if they have like the progenitor race come out
- 13:05from like even deeper underground, something like
- 13:09that, I think that would be be cool of planting this seed here.
- 13:14I think conceptually be cool. I will say I don't like
- 13:17scientifically, it's not really how evolution works.
- 13:20This is one of the things that annoys me with the whole this
- 13:23whole storyline is. Because the hair and air are not
- 13:26the same as they were back then. Yeah, it's it's the we are not
- 13:30descended from chimpanzees, right?
- 13:32We are, we have a a branching tree that where we have a no no
- 13:37longer existent ancestor, right, That branched into all these
- 13:42different things. And then so sorry to the
- 13:43patrons. I think I made this exact same
- 13:45point on the Patreon episode. So you're getting less content
- 13:48now, But I, I, yeah. So I at first, I don't think, I
- 13:56mean, to be fair also, it's not very scientific that, you know,
- 13:58you stay in the dark and that you magically transforms you
- 14:02into something else. So I don't anticipate that
- 14:05they're doing this with, you know, an evolutionary scientist
- 14:09on staff being like. And how would these two races
- 14:12divert? So they probably will have a
- 14:14original ancestor razor. I just I just want to point out
- 14:19Lex that we live in a world we're not one expansion to go.
- 14:24We had people getting pulled out of cold storage from 10s of
- 14:27thousands of years ago. So the pretended to race not
- 14:30existing isn't the same as in the real life where yes, there
- 14:34are reasons why those people would have eventually their
- 14:36genealogy would have split and stuff.
- 14:38So let me let me clarify. Any race that has been ongoing
- 14:44from that point until now has evolved equivalently, right?
- 14:49Not necessarily in the same ways.
- 14:51They might visually, for example, look more like the
- 14:55original race. They might, you know, engage
- 14:58with the world in in different ways, but everyone has evolved
- 15:02the same amount of time. So they're all.
- 15:06Equally different. Equally, you're looking at 2
- 15:08points that forked from the same branch, not going back to that
- 15:12original branch. Exactly.
- 15:13There's there's not an original ancestor that has existed
- 15:18consistently. There might again again, I don't
- 15:20know that this is an argument that thing had in Blizzard HQ.
- 15:23So it's possible that there is right.
- 15:25It's possible that in Blizzard's world, there will be the
- 15:27original and these are the ones who have not changed since they
- 15:30were the original ancestor race. But scientifically speaking and
- 15:35also like, you know, I have AI have a bachelors of arts, right?
- 15:38So I'm sure I'm also screwing this up real bad and somebody
- 15:41who has a higher level degree is in our comments right now being
- 15:43like, that's also not how evolution works, but big
- 15:47understanding. Yeah, no, I think that there's a
- 15:50lot there. There's the like, what if some
- 15:52of the Urban had like escaped the clutches of the Titans and
- 15:57had continued to be influenced by as we're often so we find
- 16:00that faction later on. I I just want the Urban to be
- 16:03relevant again. They they got kicked out the
- 16:06back door. I love I love these little trees
- 16:09of science fiction and fantasy of like lore and Ware could go,
- 16:13but I'm hoping that the the people who were screaming retcon
- 16:17are a lot calmer now. Spoiler they're not.
- 16:25OK, well let's let's go to something less rage inducing.
- 16:28Sean, do you want to take over and talk about the Season 2
- 16:31dungeon testing? Yeah, for sure.
- 16:34Let me quickly turn to our show notes Google, if you're
- 16:37listening dark mode, for the love of all it is holy, give us
- 16:42for those of you enjoying the first video format of the show
- 16:45on Spotify, I just want you to watch my face patch notes show
- 16:53notes. You won't make fun of me for
- 16:56being so white, it's just because I have show notes up.
- 17:00Yeah, All right, you can. You can put all those criticisms
- 17:03towards me from now on. OK, sorry, Season 2 dungeon
- 17:07testing continues. Blizzard has taken a look at the
- 17:10feedback provided over the first two weeks of dungeon testing,
- 17:13and they made many of the adjustments players were asking
- 17:15for, including increased difficulty on bosses like
- 17:18Machimba and the Golden Serpent and King's Rest.
- 17:21As well, they continue to tweak the final boss and Seth Realists
- 17:24to make it more engaging and require a higher level of group
- 17:26coordination, even though it has a very good base right now for
- 17:29the changes made to it. All of the dungeons are
- 17:32available for testing in Mythic Plus this week.
- 17:34Definitely recommend jumping in. Those are just some highlights.
- 17:37There were a ton of changes made across the board in all of the
- 17:41dungeons. A lot of quality of life stuff.
- 17:43They removed some of the poison dispel requirements.
- 17:46There was a couple dungeons where there was three different
- 17:48poison dispels, so that would like really restrict the comps
- 17:51you would bring to those. They removed one of those poison
- 17:53dispels. They've made Zoljian a better
- 17:56fight in Ultra Fangs. They, like I said, they added
- 17:59complexity and engagement in the Golden Serpent Machimbophytes.
- 18:04They were just, they felt like an error from a different time.
- 18:07It was nothing was happening. It was very slow paced.
- 18:10And a couple other fights in Void Sky Arena, some boss
- 18:13fights, they did the same. They adjusted timings so things
- 18:16are better. The Desire fight, which has a
- 18:19lot or had a lot of swirls and a lot of overlapping swirls, was
- 18:23adjusted so there's less overlap there and the pacing of that is
- 18:26a little better. It's a really.
- 18:28Good sign to see them moving so quickly and so assertively to
- 18:32make changes. A lot of these, this feedback
- 18:34was given like last week and changes implemented this week.
- 18:38I'm very hopeful for the next season of Mythic Plus.
- 18:42Lex as a new Mythic Plus enjoyer, as somebody who's just
- 18:45like really sinking her teeth into it and playing for fun, How
- 18:49do you feel knowing Blizzard's got such a heavy finger on the
- 18:52scale? And are you excited about more
- 18:55complex fights in dungeons? Yes, so.
- 18:58First of all, one thing I will say go check out the notes if
- 19:01you are interested in this stuff.
- 19:03These are some of the longest notes I've seen Blizzard publish
- 19:07right? This looks like a major like a
- 19:10.5 patch notes. So I, I, they, they're doing a
- 19:14lot. It's very clear that they are
- 19:16working really, really hard and very thoughtful about what
- 19:19they're doing and listening to feedback, which I know has been
- 19:21one of our complaints recently, is you give feedback and it kind
- 19:26of goes nowhere. So it's good to know that they
- 19:27are listening. I am excited for more complex
- 19:30fights. I think one thing that I learned
- 19:32from my, from this season that made things a lot better was I
- 19:37started having fun once I did a full run through of every single
- 19:40mythic plus dungeon with people who could kind of help walk me
- 19:43through it. And once I feel like I know the
- 19:47fight, I feel so much more confident going in and just
- 19:51doing. Now I'm pugging and I know
- 19:53something I'll screw up sometimes.
- 19:54But in general I know that I understand the fight enough that
- 19:57I'm not overly scared. So I intend to do hopefully a
- 20:03few full clears very early season.
- 20:06As in full, full dungeon rotations early season.
- 20:09So I can then you know, one of my big issues with mythic plus
- 20:12is that I play at different times than most of my friends.
- 20:14So pugging is kind of a necessity.
- 20:16And if I felt more comfortable with that, I think that would be
- 20:19a lot more able to play mythic plus, Although this is not the
- 20:22first time I've had a hypothesis as well.
- 20:23Maybe play more mythic plus. So we'll, you know, stay tuned,
- 20:26kids. But anyway, the point is, I am
- 20:28excited for getting a chance to see more complex fights to jump
- 20:32in a really early in the season and to be hopefully part of the
- 20:36earlier folks learning things and internalizing how to play
- 20:41and what to do and what our routes are and everything.
- 20:44And I am feeling less intimidated by Mythic Plus this
- 20:48season, so I am not scared of the idea that there might be
- 20:52more complex fights. Very cool, very cool.
- 20:56Manny, are you excited about these changes?
- 20:58Have you had a chance to see any dungeons on PTRI?
- 21:00Know sometimes you jump in there.
- 21:03I haven't jumped in myself a I'm happy to say that the burnout
- 21:08that I was experiencing, we're we're past that now I'm back in,
- 21:11but I've been playing live in order to do that, trying to
- 21:14catch up on a number of things that I just sort of abandoned
- 21:17priorities that I abandoned because I want to get that done
- 21:20before this hits live. So I don't think I'm going to be
- 21:22much on the PT. But what I'm really excited
- 21:24about and what I would like to ask you is with these new
- 21:28dungeons, they've been talking about having more of the
- 21:31responsibility be with the DPS priority targeting or other
- 21:35effects that instead of being a healer problem, reduce your
- 21:39damage or something, or heal up the mob so that you have to
- 21:43again, burn that health down. So with these changes,
- 21:47especially with the dungeons that are coming back, Sean, I'm
- 21:50asking, have you seen anything that has put that responsibility
- 21:55on the DPS? What are the changes like that
- 21:58have made this like less of a all the stress on the tank and
- 22:03healer so. Specifically, the last boss and
- 22:07Temple of Ecethralis there are the it's changed.
- 22:09It's a boss that you want to heal, but there are two orbs
- 22:12that's bonding. They had Life coalescence or
- 22:14something like that. They're these purple orbs and a
- 22:16blue arrow appears above them. When you touch them, there's a
- 22:19small explosion and you have a debuff applied for I think it's
- 22:2340 seconds. That reduces your healing
- 22:26received by 40% and your healing done by 40%.
- 22:29Now in a fight where the goal is to heal the character in the
- 22:32middle, this obviously isn't something you want the healer
- 22:34doing. O it is secifically on there are
- 22:36two orbs that sawn each cycle of the phase and each orb has to be
- 22:41touched twice. So all three DPS and the tank
- 22:44each have to take a stack of this.
- 22:46So that is one spot where it is on the the DPS to do this more.
- 22:50I haven't noticed as much stuff like where you miss a kick and
- 22:54now you have a deep damage done debuff or things like that.
- 22:57But admittedly I'm tanking these keys.
- 23:00So if a if a kick gets missed and it hit somebody else, I
- 23:03don't really know what's happening to them.
- 23:04I haven't gone through the logs yet, but I would like to see
- 23:06some of that, that it's not just Mist Kick is a kill, but like
- 23:10Mist kick is, you're suddenly doing less damage.
- 23:13Yeah. And I haven't, I haven't, I
- 23:14haven't seen that. But the Temple of Ceteris, that
- 23:16fight. And then there's also the
- 23:18increase. There's these third boss that
- 23:21these pillars spawn and shoot beams into the Boston power.
- 23:25Those have to be soaked as well. They added an extra pillar so
- 23:27that theoretically all three DPS would each would soak a pillar
- 23:31in there to keep that going. So there is some happening in
- 23:34the reworks, but I would definitely like to see more.
- 23:37I just I think the biggest problem is it's easy to look at
- 23:40bosses, right because there's a dungeon journal.
- 23:42We can tell what the boss mechanics are.
- 23:43We can tell what every spell does and what the impact of them
- 23:45are. There is nothing in game that's
- 23:50bass Blizzard that does that for any of the trash packs, any of
- 23:53the mini bosses. So like you're going in
- 23:56completely blind and if you don't have a tool like MDT,
- 23:59which isn't field load on the PTR or if you don't take the
- 24:02time to go and physically look up each enemy in on, you know,
- 24:07popular fan sites like Wowhead, you just don't know what's
- 24:10happening in the dungeon with the, with this trash.
- 24:12If you're not like actively running it, logging it and then
- 24:16going back through and reading the logs.
- 24:19We I, I think we need a dungeon journal for the trap.
- 24:23Like there has to be something right?
- 24:24Like, I don't, I guess players are just supposed to learn by
- 24:27trial and error, but that can be really intimidating.
- 24:31Not a lot of people want to take the time to do homework on a
- 24:35dungeon to find out what is hurting.
- 24:37You know they're going to go. That's why Dungeon Guide videos
- 24:39are so wildly popular at the beginning of the season, because
- 24:43they're answering this question that people have I.
- 24:46Do think mythic plus is, is an interesting situation where it
- 24:52is still treated like the bosses.
- 24:54It it's, you know, raid is just a race to the boss, right?
- 24:57Trash maybe does something kind of silly, but it's mostly just
- 25:00goofing around with your buddies.
- 25:02It does not matter. And it's really just boss after
- 25:05boss after boss. And as a Raider moving into
- 25:08mythic plus, that's always a a thing that I have to kind of
- 25:11switch my brain around. I needed one of my healer
- 25:13friends, my my priest friends to tell me that I needed to start
- 25:16using cooldowns on trash because of course I'm not using a healer
- 25:19cooldown on trash, right? That's crazy.
- 25:22But in mythic class, I mean trash is a major part of the
- 25:24timer and the timer is the only thing that matters.
- 25:27You have to be pushing through as fast as possible.
- 25:30So I think I agree. I think that the dungeon journal
- 25:32is set up currently as though it was more raid like and there's
- 25:38less but it's not right. Mythic plus is not small mini
- 25:42raid. Mythic plus is mythic plus.
- 25:44And I do agree, I think that major trash mechanics do need to
- 25:47be called out. I've found that people don't use
- 25:52the dungeon journal even like if they don't have the the boss
- 25:57guide or something. Like when you there are the
- 26:00people who will go on to the PTR, test it, generate the stuff
- 26:05that then goes on to the videos like tactics will put out stuff,
- 26:10Cassette will put out the stuff, Radar IO of course put that puts
- 26:14out all these videos. There are the people who will
- 26:17look at those videos before it's released, all of that, and put
- 26:22that to the team. They're the people on the team
- 26:24who will have walked, looked at a bunch of videos and be like,
- 26:26OK, which one are you following? There are people on the team who
- 26:30will be like, what? Why aren't you telling me what I
- 26:33need to do? What's going on?
- 26:36And there are the people on the team that'll be like, I want to
- 26:39keep my head down and don't die. Nothing's going to happen.
- 26:42And at no point are any of those people consulting the Dungeon
- 26:47Journal. And that to be is like something
- 26:51that Blizzard needs to look at. We were talking about it back at
- 26:54the beginning of the expansion. It would be great if I'm looking
- 26:59at that dungeon journal and I go, oh, big tank Buster, that's
- 27:02scary. Let me click on that so I can
- 27:04add that to what's up, an improvement to the dungeon
- 27:07journal. And please, fast dev, I don't
- 27:09put out much stuff. The Dungeon Journal could be so
- 27:12much better and incorporated into the game along with things
- 27:18that you're already putting in the game like the cooldown
- 27:20manager, like something like MDT where it's like here's the
- 27:23dungeon map. I can put this map and put that
- 27:26glow around the packs that I want to do instead of the pre
- 27:30designed ones. We've we've come up with a
- 27:32number of ideas off the top of our heads and we're three
- 27:35people. You guys got an entire team of
- 27:39talented individuals as well as all a feedback from all these
- 27:43different people. I think that it should be a
- 27:44project that they they put on because the Dungeon Journal is a
- 27:47underutilized and severely lacking part of the game.
- 27:52I. I will say we utilize the
- 27:54dungeon journal in raid on a like in the minute, like, wait,
- 27:57what's killing us? We don't really understand why
- 27:58we're dying and it is often hard to parse.
- 28:02There are very often times when we're in voice and we're like,
- 28:04wait, is it this? But if that spell, I think
- 28:08that's from this mechanic and but it says over here.
- 28:10So I I think that there, there is an opportunity for clarity
- 28:14because even when you do use it, you don't.
- 28:16Even look at the details and be like what was the fatal event?
- 28:19OK, let me click on on that and see what it is.
- 28:21Hear me out. One cohesive unit.
- 28:23I can go to my damage meter, I can see what killed me, I can
- 28:26click the ability and it opens the dungeon journal and shows me
- 28:29what killed me, and I can read the actual description from it.
- 28:32I obviously love the idea of adding, you know, announcements
- 28:36or highlight, hey, highlight this cast for me right from the
- 28:38dungeon journal, being able to sync all that in.
- 28:41That's a free idea, Fasdev, We're giving that to you for
- 28:43free. I would love that that I like
- 28:45that you guys use the dungeon journal likes we do as well.
- 28:48If if things are happening, tanks especially, we'll go in
- 28:51and have a look, say, hey, what can I ignore here?
- 28:53Oh, all of it. OK.
- 28:57Yeah. So like I am looking forward to
- 29:00this. I am glad, I'm very glad that
- 29:03there's only one new dungeon from the Isle of Coils because
- 29:07what I've been seeing through like the videos, the twitch
- 29:11stuff that I've been watching, there's so much green and drear.
- 29:14I like I'm, I'm, I'm so sick of it and the patch hasn't even
- 29:18come out yet. So I'm just like put in one
- 29:19dungeon. I'll stay in Silver Moon where
- 29:21I'm not going to get like seasonal depression in the
- 29:24middle of summer and we'll go from there.
- 29:29How is? Green, dreary Manny.
- 29:31No, it's it's. It's neon green and grey
- 29:36depression. Yeah, there's.
- 29:37A lot of like dark brown, green and the neon.
- 29:41It is a lot of Do you ever play? There's a game called Dark Souls
- 29:45made by Manny watched. Me play that day.
- 29:48Have you played Dark? Do you remember there's a
- 29:49section in Dark Souls called Blight Town?
- 29:52Was this? Within the first like before the
- 29:55first, she did not get. Far no it's not no, no that
- 29:59that's deep into the game it's. Blight down.
- 30:02It was like they toned everything was dark.
- 30:05It was really hard to see. It was a swamp.
- 30:06It's it was it was awful, but it evoked in you a sense of just
- 30:10like this is unpleasant and I don't want to be here.
- 30:13And all of the it's like it's all green, it's all overgrown.
- 30:19It's all very much like you can almost smell the zone, you know,
- 30:24pictures of. This dungeon and they're
- 30:25beautiful. What is wrong with you guys?
- 30:29Watch it the get it in motion. Play through it like there are
- 30:33some there are some great picturesque thing things that
- 30:35you're going to completely skip as the enemy beats the crap out
- 30:38of you and your tank. But like, just the general feel
- 30:43of it is like I, I never thought the mall was that bad watching
- 30:48this. I'm just like, man, I'm I'm not
- 30:51going to enjoy this. I'm an ex.
- 30:53Undead role player I can get behind a little a little
- 30:56plaguey, a little messed up a little.
- 30:57I like the. Undercity.
- 31:01I I I got to watch a video because I think this looks fun,
- 31:03OK. Anyways, yeah, like looking
- 31:08forward to this. The dungeons are looking good.
- 31:10I am excited. Between all the changes that
- 31:13they've been making to the classes, the tear sets and of
- 31:17course, of course the dungeons themselves, it looks like this
- 31:20season 2 is going to be even better than season 1.
- 31:25And the fact that like season 1 was feared is going to be the
- 31:27worst season. And now, Sean, you're going into
- 31:29this being like, this is good. Only up from there.
- 31:32Hopefully this stuff some sort of weird inverse and we end up
- 31:35falling flat on our face. That would be horrible.
- 31:38But yeah. Before we go into the next part,
- 31:42though, Sean, would you like to thank our patrons?
- 31:44Let me put on my sunglasses. It's so.
- 31:48Bright. It's so bright.
- 31:51What are? You going to find a half a.
- 31:53Screen so you don't have Oh my God, it's.
- 31:56So it's like staring into the sun.
- 31:58Hold on. I know.
- 31:58Here it is. I found it.
- 31:59I found it. This is all staying in the show,
- 32:01people. This is for free.
- 32:03You got to come watch the video to see it.
- 32:05Please. You don't have to watch the
- 32:06whole video, just jump to this point in the video.
- 32:10It's so bright. But on that note, you know what
- 32:14else is bright? Our our love for the Patrons.
- 32:17I want to give a special thanks to Rack and all of our Patrons
- 32:20for Azeroth. We'll always be free, but if you
- 32:22enjoy the content we produce, you could consider cludging to
- 32:25our Patreon at patreon.com/F AZ. You get your own special patron
- 32:30tag in our Discord where we sometimes talk about things that
- 32:36we don't talk about in other channels.
- 32:37I don't really have a reason for why things go on the patron
- 32:40channel and why they don't go over there because it's never
- 32:41like spicy takes or things like hey, here's an exclusive on
- 32:45something. It's always just like I didn't
- 32:47like this quest or hey, this is a really cool trinket.
- 32:50It's. I'm really selling.
- 32:52It I'm really selling it, there are.
- 32:55Some exclusive conversations that happen in the patron
- 32:58channel on the Discord, which is which is nice.
- 33:00Sean also will put forward anything that we're putting out
- 33:04to the patrons in that Channel so you guys will know about it.
- 33:07Just like we talked about with the lore conversation with the
- 33:11early access episodes that we've been putting out as well.
- 33:13So there's more reasons than ever to become a patron,
- 33:16including with the new video feeds and the patron hangout
- 33:21that we're that we're trying to plan it.
- 33:24So make sure you pay attention to that.
- 33:27Bonus, that lore episode. You get to find out which one of
- 33:30the three of us has a weird ear fetish.
- 33:33You'll never guess who. Yeah, we'll leave.
- 33:36We'll leave that as something for them to figure out.
- 33:39Anyways, we have of course APC Games N interview.
- 33:46Lauren Bergen of PC Games N sat down with Game Director.
- 33:50Ian has a coasters himself to chat about the state of World of
- 33:54Warcraft. Now this interview was pretty
- 33:58high level if they weren't getting into this nitty gritty,
- 34:01but there were some cool takeaways from this.
- 34:04We had in iterating that the story of Mod Wow is broadening
- 34:08that what they are offering is for different audiences.
- 34:12There was a conversation about how the team is was fixing bugs
- 34:17too close to release and that's how we got the like pretty
- 34:20disastrous patches where they have to take housing down for a
- 34:24whole day. That was related to a fix that
- 34:27they had done to the elevator in Siege Morgamar, which then
- 34:32caused an issue in housing. And so they have to shut that
- 34:35down, keep everybody out of their houses because it would
- 34:38save a game breaking bug. Not fully game breaking, but
- 34:42would like take all of your wall hangings and all of your ceiling
- 34:45hangings and slam them down to the floor and save it like that.
- 34:49So they have to keep people out of their homes for a bit, but
- 34:52they're changing their process so it won't be that bad that
- 34:57they will put release candidates out and then only deal with
- 35:01things in a way to not 'cause these bugs to occur so late in
- 35:06the process. Which is great to say.
- 35:09And with the latest release it seems that they have hit that.
- 35:13I'm looking for it to become a pattern and then I will be
- 35:16reassured. I think the biggest take away
- 35:19from this interview, Manny, you're bury in the lead.
- 35:21Ian listens to the show. Ian is fast.
- 35:24Dev, where did you? Pull this that was in.
- 35:27In the interview, he says I'm I listened to you for Azeroth and
- 35:31they always are talking about me.
- 35:33They're like fast dev, fast dev and they don't realize it's me.
- 35:36Ian, how's the cost is? Yeah.
- 35:39But I he so he wasn't that direct, but he did say that
- 35:43there are loud voices in the community.
- 35:45Clearly us not understanding who content is directed to and
- 35:50dismissing the content. If that is not proof that Ian is
- 35:54fasdev, I don't know what is. Ian, thank you so much for
- 35:58listening. We're honored.
- 36:00We're going to tone down the snark for the next 38 seconds
- 36:04about. I have.
- 36:05Never. Heard Lex say that she doesn't
- 36:08know what the point of the content was.
- 36:10That's never something like this ever said ever on this show.
- 36:13Benny, we know. Fast dev doesn't listen to me
- 36:16because I made one very reasonable ask that would have
- 36:20caused a beneficial situation for everyone and they couldn't
- 36:24delay or release one week for me.
- 36:26Fast dev, you and I are still in a fight.
- 36:27I don't care that you're even has Acosta.
- 36:30OK, Yeah, I I do think that it is good to see that they are
- 36:37looking at things in a holistic view, that it isn't just the
- 36:41people who are loud on X or sitting down with like the
- 36:46popular personalities and saying it makes no sense and everything
- 36:49or like jumping on their podcast and like just talking over
- 36:53people who like the content that like Delves or or actually a
- 36:59really good example, when Nashitol and Val came out and
- 37:04Heroic came out, I hadn't played it.
- 37:09Sean, you were like, I don't see the difference.
- 37:11Just go into heroic and the community from a lot of
- 37:15different places were saying, Oh my goodness, this is too hard,
- 37:17this is scary and everything. I personally feel that when they
- 37:21clicked Heroic they completely ignored the part that said this
- 37:24is for three plus players. And so when they went in with
- 37:27their squishy, their squishy coffee at a relatively low item
- 37:31level, they're like why can't I solo anything?
- 37:33I have been playing that content over the last couple of weeks
- 37:38and I've been enjoying it. I didn't think I would like
- 37:41world content again. I had fallen out of doing world
- 37:44quest and such just because it didn't have appealed to me.
- 37:47Going in with a small band of my friends and doing that content
- 37:53together. It gives me a little bit of
- 37:55taste of how things were in errors of Wow gone by when I
- 38:01couldn't just solo smash everything and hold my cooldowns
- 38:05to like, I guess eternity. Like I have to be a bit more
- 38:10exacting about how I go through stuff.
- 38:12And I really enjoyed that. And so, yeah, maybe the content
- 38:16isn't for Lex with her like 390 geared plate warrior that
- 38:20doesn't see any difference other than I guess it takes a little
- 38:24bit more to pull everything. But for other people, there's a
- 38:29deaf and audience for this. Let's have you done any of the
- 38:33heroic world content? Not.
- 38:35Really, it hit at a point when I was working on gearing rapidly
- 38:40and I could convince my team to run me through Mythic Plus, and
- 38:43that was just going to go so much faster.
- 38:45I will say in defense of the people who ran in and ignored
- 38:49the suggested grouping, usually that is a lie.
- 38:52Usually when World of Warcraft says this needs to be X number
- 38:55of people, it needs to be this or that.
- 38:56That is not correct. So I'm not blown away with
- 39:00delves. I don't I haven't really looked
- 39:02at the item level requirements for a while so I don't know if
- 39:04this is still true, but for the longest time the item level
- 39:06expectation was what the Dell dropped, which nobody is doing
- 39:12content that is the item level that it drops right at that
- 39:15point it's not meaningful. I mean it didn't OK some people
- 39:18are but but the the point of contact hold on a.
- 39:21Second, hold on a second because I have plugged into so many
- 39:24different raves and so many different dungeons and everybody
- 39:27demands that I'm at 390 for my mythic 2 plus.
- 39:31So I don't know. Sorry if if.
- 39:33The question is, are pugs unreasonable, especially for
- 39:36DPS? That's an entirely different
- 39:38conversation we can have, but when Blizzard?
- 39:40Does it now? We got to have issues, OK.
- 39:44Yes, yes. And OK, let let me be clear.
- 39:46I do not want Blizzard to act like the average mythic plus
- 39:50pugger. I'll say that with my chest 10
- 39:53toes down. I'm not going to put any, you
- 39:55know, asterisk on that one. That one I'll I'll commit to.
- 39:59OK. I can I can get on board with
- 40:01that, but I mean, look, I'm. A big proponent of world content
- 40:05being harder, right? I think I think that world
- 40:07content should be tough. I think it should kill people a
- 40:10lot. I, I, I'm pro that I want delves
- 40:13to be hard. I want, I've been saying for a
- 40:15long time, I want them to be pushing up the the numbers.
- 40:18I, I want not everyone to be able to go through every level
- 40:22of delves the same way that I don't think every player can go
- 40:26through every level of mythic plus, right?
- 40:28I want that to be and I understand all the complications
- 40:30behind it, but I think that would be good for the game to
- 40:32have solo content that is genuinely challenging, that is
- 40:36genuinely end game. So yeah, I'm totally proud.
- 40:40OK. I mean, back in your days of our
- 40:43peeing and and such, you didn't do much instance content.
- 40:47Would you have welcomed this content instead of, like,
- 40:51looking for those Ray teams that you eventually fell into?
- 40:56Yeah, I. Think, absolutely.
- 40:58I think that if I could have done more, I mean, frankly, I
- 41:00would have been really excited about follower dungeons when I
- 41:03was at our peer, right? Anything that let me go through
- 41:07things on my own would have been really, really till you did.
- 41:09One. Well, yeah.
- 41:11And then? I would have been like oh This
- 41:12is why all the mythic plussers hate each other.
- 41:15I didn't realize it was this hard to do basic content.
- 41:19I finally. I finally got an e-mail back
- 41:22from many reports of Krenna the Earth Mother, and I was told
- 41:26that they found no indication of her violating your code of
- 41:29conduct. And I, well, this is obviously
- 41:32briefing, I, I. Have to say that I feel like the
- 41:36developer sat down and be like, now these guys are too organized
- 41:38we're going to make this like a real pug situation.
- 41:41Yeah, we. That's it.
- 41:44Like they listen AI doesn't exist.
- 41:47They came pretty close with Austin Huxworth to mimicking
- 41:51what it's like to play with an actual BM hunter.
- 41:55I am actually pretty convinced that some of those characters
- 41:58are very. It is so obvious that they are
- 42:01coded for example to if they get aggro, run away.
- 42:06Like they are coded to be very difficult to work with, which I
- 42:09don't fully understand. Like it was great for learning
- 42:12to tank, I learned how to manage aggro much faster because of
- 42:14that. But I feel like the people who
- 42:17want to do follow dungeons for the sake of all our dungeons
- 42:20probably are not just trying to learn the tank.
- 42:22So maybe they run a little bit toward the tank, I don't know.
- 42:25I'm also not entirely convinced that they're not actually devs,
- 42:29that they just have a team of devs that just logs in and plays
- 42:33for the followers and they spend the whole time in my Sarah
- 42:37Caverns laughing. Watch.
- 42:38You're going to pull this back now.
- 42:40Lady thinks I'm a bot. That would be.
- 42:41Hilarious. I wonder if follower doesn't
- 42:48clearly not meant for me. I'm not the audience and such,
- 42:51but there are times where I, I wish certain difficulties that
- 42:55are more about the experience of the story and getting the
- 42:59conclusion of like the zone or whatever happens within that
- 43:03dungeon should be set up to be more of a scenario, should be
- 43:07set up to embellish more on the story.
- 43:11Like when you are doing a dungeon on normal and follower
- 43:17dungeon, there's more dialogue, there's more vantage points that
- 43:20like you see while you're going through the dungeon.
- 43:23And then when you switch it to like mythic, mythic plus, it's
- 43:27cuts those out and you don't have that anymore.
- 43:29And because that is focused on I'm doing timing, I'm getting
- 43:32the gear and that sort of stuff. But I think maybe they need to
- 43:35double down on that separation. Discordian Kitty, who you
- 43:38mentioned in a previous episode, talked about the failures of
- 43:42story mode idea I may have hammered into her head.
- 43:47And I dislike that raids now don't have those like story
- 43:52moments that happened in the middle of a dungeon where you're
- 43:55where it's like, oh, we're fighting against the general and
- 44:00he's on the wrong side and this guy's been with us the entire
- 44:02time. Or the clocks.
- 44:04You're like, no, we told you we were going to betray you.
- 44:06Like we're going to do that. It's all stuffed into the final
- 44:10boss and everything before that is just here's a scenario here's
- 44:14moves. This guy showed up from nowhere.
- 44:16Hi, I'm like general the third is like what?
- 44:20Where did you come from? I.
- 44:24I do actually really think follower dungeons were a big
- 44:28missed opportunity. I think probably that is because
- 44:32they did not get as much positive reception as Lizard was
- 44:35expecting, because I think in early War Within there were some
- 44:38signs that they were going to take follower dungeons a little
- 44:41bit more in the direction of a story mode version.
- 44:44For example, the Rookery. There wasn't like it was a
- 44:48little different if you were with your followers and the
- 44:51followers were all plot relevant.
- 44:54I was. I was actually pretty grumpy
- 44:56during the most recent lore drop when I did the Mayasara Taverns
- 45:01follower dungeon. Kind of.
- 45:04Expected that it was going to be the people like somehow relevant
- 45:08to the fact that I was supposed to be going through this dungeon
- 45:10with these people in front of me and it wasn't it was the same
- 45:13freaking loser, right? So hey, hey.
- 45:16Captain of Garland is a lovely person, That's true.
- 45:19OK. And.
- 45:20Marity Huntswell is my main source for water follower fast
- 45:26dev. We like follower dungeons.
- 45:28I log in on a healer, I queue for a follower dungeon right
- 45:31away, I take my 80 little mana biscuits, I give Mary a hug for
- 45:35thanks, and then I leave. Again, I don't feel like that is
- 45:41the point or the intended use of follower dungeons, to the point
- 45:48that I wouldn't be upset if those mana biscuits that you
- 45:51grabbed off of the NPC that I'm surprised you even remember her
- 45:54name disappeared the second you owned out.
- 45:58Yeah, that would be awful if they I'd be so upset.
- 46:01I would still go change it. So like.
- 46:03The the buffs, so the buffs. Disappear The buffs used to
- 46:06persist and people were because people are people they were
- 46:09using. They're like, oh, we need we
- 46:11need versatility buff. Well, let's just go get credit
- 46:13to give it to us before she pulls half the dungeon
- 46:16accidentally and then takes and then somehow taunts a boss in
- 46:21and that's just point Zenith taunts it and walks it into an
- 46:25area that the players can't hit. And it's so crazy.
- 46:29It's so crazy. Anyway, yeah, they, they they
- 46:33spanned that dungeon was off. It's I was on the PTR, gang.
- 46:36I'm sorry. Quick aside.
- 46:38I was on the PTR. We were tested.
- 46:40This literally happened. Krenna taunted the the boss on
- 46:44the void side, the one Nykara maybe something, her name is
- 46:48Nice Nysara, the one that gets jumped by Letheri, let her
- 46:52accident in the little fight. She taunted it.
- 46:56Why is my healer taunting? She taunted it and then walked
- 46:59it off into the area that the players couldn't get there.
- 47:01So we just can. She's just standing over there
- 47:03with the boss, and we were just like Austin Hoxworth was like,
- 47:06yeah, I'm going to go pull something else because he's a
- 47:07hunter and that's what he does. Meredith and I were just hanging
- 47:10out with Captain Garland. It was just like, I don't know.
- 47:12I don't know, man. Like they're your friends.
- 47:15The same thing happened in Mayasara by by the way, where
- 47:18there's the room with all the dead things and you have to kill
- 47:21the I. This is the first time I learned
- 47:23you have to kill the boss in the middle to be able to go through
- 47:26the door, because I was like, oh, I wonder how much of this
- 47:28room I can skip. I tried to guide them out of the
- 47:30room. They all laughed and I was just
- 47:32running into that door, like, wait, just the goddamn.
- 47:37Had to. Call them back and it was
- 47:38absurd. So yeah, they they do have
- 47:41magical powers the players don't have.
- 47:43So fun I think it. Just it costs them a little too
- 47:46much to program the version of a hunter that is like, I don't
- 47:53know, in Nexus Point Zenith, you could easily put in Illyria as
- 47:57the hunter of the group, but her abilities work differently and
- 48:02program that in seems like a much more of an effort than just
- 48:05saying here's the set group. You replace one of these guys.
- 48:09If you're DPS, you replace this guy.
- 48:10If you're a tank, you replace this guy.
- 48:11If you're a heel, replace this guy.
- 48:13All the rest are said. So I kind of get it.
- 48:15But I also think that maybe then these guys should be in silver
- 48:20moon and like interacting silver moon.
- 48:23So you're like, Oh yeah, those those guys are around with us
- 48:25for that campaign and such. And then it seems like a great
- 48:29opportunity to build up these these characters as like the
- 48:33crew that's around with you, be like other members of a war band
- 48:37sort of thing. But yeah, I would love to see
- 48:42more story back into the World of Warcraft.
- 48:44And this interview did talk about the story, especially in
- 48:4812.1. While it might seem like a Side
- 48:52Story at first, and clearly Ian has seen the criticisms to that
- 48:57point, in reassures us that it ties into the overarching plot
- 49:02of the world so saga and will bring us in.
- 49:04So I am tentatively optimistic about that.
- 49:10It does make me want to put on a tinfoil hat and be like, oh how
- 49:13is this all going to work out? And there have been some cool
- 49:17videos out there. I know there was one by Bellular
- 49:20that was trying to like piece of paste this all together and
- 49:24discording Kitty again has has been talking about different
- 49:28things. So I'm excited for what's to
- 49:31come. In general, though, do you guys
- 49:34think this is going to be the next big thing or sort of
- 49:38similar to, I don't know, liberation of undermine again?
- 49:43Let's start with you, Lex. I'll believe it when I see it
- 49:48just because of how point ones almost always seem to go in
- 49:51Blizzard writing. But I have said every single
- 49:54time I've been a little doomer and little jerky girl about this
- 49:58that I think like, I want that to happen, right?
- 50:01I want there to be something where Mallichras combines forces
- 50:07with Zalitaf. Or like like I would love to see
- 50:11the story that's going on here to genuinely affect the war, the
- 50:16not the war within. We're going to go back on an
- 50:18expansion, by the way, I would like to see it genuinely affect
- 50:21the world source soul saga and I'd like it to be really
- 50:23meaningful story And I I I want these stories to feel like
- 50:27genuine 3 parter. So I'm hopeful.
- 50:29I'm hopeful. The fact that Ian is saying it
- 50:31means that they are genuinely paying attention to this and
- 50:34making sure it doesn't feel like a a blip.
- 50:36I'm a little bit concerned because the storyline feels like
- 50:38what I would write if I was going to write a blip storyline,
- 50:40but I again, I'd love to see it. I want to be disproven.
- 50:43I want this to age really poorly.
- 50:45I want the story to go very, very well.
- 50:48OK, John, on your end, where your hopes or where are your
- 50:53predictions? I.
- 50:54Hated liberation of undermine so this can only be better.
- 50:58And I love Zulaman so I'm already leaning.
- 51:00I'm already like, I'm, I'm in that camp.
- 51:02You know how sometimes you're like, I already know how I'm
- 51:03going to feel. It doesn't matter what happens.
- 51:05I'm there. It's like, oh, I have a date.
- 51:07I really like this person. No matter what, this date's
- 51:09going to go well, you know, and then you accidentally eat that
- 51:12torture lettuce from Taco Bell and you get explosive diarrhea
- 51:15mid date. Doesn't matter.
- 51:16I had a good time with the person I like.
- 51:18This date went well. Somebody saved me that great
- 51:21analogy. Analogies are my thing, but
- 51:23that's where I'm at. I, I'm all, I already know I'm
- 51:26going to like it. Even if I would like for the
- 51:28story to tie in. I don't want to walk away from
- 51:30it feeling like, well, this was a side quest.
- 51:32And I am hopeful that they will be able to, you know, in it.
- 51:36It's, it's obviously something they've talked about, they've
- 51:38discussed and they're aware of. It would be foolish for him to
- 51:42specifically bring it up in an interview if they haven't
- 51:45already got a plan in place to make it tie in Like that would
- 51:48just be insane PR. That's so true.
- 51:51Sean Ian would never do something like say we cores
- 51:54aren't going to go away the day they get announced to leave I'm.
- 51:59Like I'm going to go back and get that clip and also get the
- 52:02clip from Sean be like, why would your feet?
- 52:03Out of here, Why are you? I listened since I realized Ian
- 52:06is Fasdev. I'm going to be a lot nicer to
- 52:08him because he's a person. We can't say, be nice to devs
- 52:12and then be mean to Fasdev on the show that's coming.
- 52:16Fast dev because fasdev and I aren't in a fight.
- 52:19But you can't because you're not in a fight with Fasdev.
- 52:21Because apparently Fast Enough takes Sean's side on things,
- 52:24guys. Do you not realize how many
- 52:26times I've said I don't believe anything he says?
- 52:28I am such a bad person. It's like, I'm so sorry.
- 52:34It's like on record shopping like that.
- 52:37Everything he says is 6. You know this is where we cut in
- 52:39the Super cut of me mentioning that 6 tiers in a row we got a
- 52:43mid grade wall. We, we can't, we can't do a
- 52:47super cut. This show's already an hour
- 52:48long, so we're going to be calling it here.
- 52:50No super cut. Yeah.
- 52:52Anyways, thank you all for listening.
