- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Danish with Fexingo! I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 190! Can you believe it? Lucas: I know, right? Last time we were at the bank exchanging money. Today, let's talk about getting around town—specifically, taking a taxi. Luna: Oh, I love taxis! But I never know what to say in Danish. Lucas: No worries, we'll start simple. If you need a taxi, you say: Jeg skal bruge en taxa. Luna: Jeg skal bruge en taxa. Lucas: Yes! 'I need a taxi.' Let's repeat: Jeg skal bruge en taxa. Luna: Jeg skal bruge en taxa. Lucas: Perfect. Now, where do you find a taxi? At the taxi stand. That's: taxaholdepladsen. So you can ask: Hvor er taxaholdepladsen? Luna: Hvor er taxaholdepladsen? That's a mouthful. Lucas: Take it slow: tax a holde plad sen. Try again: Hvor er taxaholdepladsen? Luna: Hvor er taxaholdepladsen? Lucas: Great! Now, once you're in the taxi, you need to say where to go. For example, the airport is lufthavnen. Ask: Hvad koster det til lufthavnen? Luna: Hvad koster det til lufthavnen? Lucas: Exactly. 'How much to the airport?' If you want to go to the train station, it's banegården. So: Kør mig til banegården, tak. Luna: Kør mig til banegården, tak. That feels good. Lucas: And when you want to get out, simply say: Stop her, tak. Luna: Stop her, tak. Easy! Lucas: Now let's put them all in a quick scene. Imagine you're at the airport and you need a taxi into town. Luna: Okay. I go outside and say: Jeg skal bruge en taxa. Lucas: Then you see the taxi stand and ask: Hvor er taxaholdepladsen? Luna: Right. And then I get in and say: Kør mig til banegården, tak. Lucas: Perfect. And the driver might tell you the price, but you can ask: Hvad koster det til lufthavnen? if you're going there. Luna: And when I arrive: Stop her, tak.
