- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: but with all these teams in the NFL, especially right now, the seven.

- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just kick off with the big news and rather than even talking about it, I am going to play Justin's voice mail because I think he sums it up perfectly.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, what's up dog podcast, it's your friendly neighborhood Browns fan here in Jersey.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_04]: We need to get on the phones immediately and immediately and start right in a check with a bunch of zeros for a horrible.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_04]: That absolutely we need to get him in Cleveland just going to be a short voice fail.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_04]: Get it on there, get the word out.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_04]: We need to get this guy over here because I'm telling you right now.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_04]: he's the coach and the only coach we need to be going for.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_04]: Keep sure it's a defensive coordinator and that there you go.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_04]: Go Browns who?
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks Justin.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: 100% agree.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: The big news yesterday last evening.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: John Harball.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: 18 years almost two decades.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: He got hired with the Ravens the year that I graduated from high
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: and the team and the coach have decided to part ways.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: So John Harble instantly becomes the biggest, hottest, most sought after name on the coaching market this cycle and you know, a lot of the experts in analyst had Kevin Stephanski as the top.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: sought after coach of this cycle until last night, another AFC North team parts ways with their coach.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: And as a quick aside, it's very interesting that the two teams that have been advocating the most over the last several years to get rid of their coach.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: that being the Steelers with Mike Talman and of course the Bengals was that Taylor are the two AFC North teams retaining their coaches at least for the time being.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: And if you see any Bengals fans follow any of them on Twitter on social media, they're pissed.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: They are livid that the team has come out and already announced they will be rolling with not just that Taylor, but the entire coaching staff.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody stay in intact.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Cincinnati.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: So they're not happy about all that, but the Ravens have said so long Sayonara to John Harble and what's interesting.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: So we've got reports on Twitter.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: This one says from Jeff.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: Was it Zebrick?
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: John Harble didn't have a chance to inform his staff of his firing, and that's proof of how quickly this all went down.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: Neither side was prepared for this outcome.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Raven's team president Soshie Brown, yes, the former Browns, Soshie Brown, the same guy he's been there, been the president since 2022.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: Raven's team president Soshie Brown and general manager, Eric DeCosta, informed Harble a staff.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: of his departure.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: So John Horbal didn't even get to let the people he works with, no, that he's no longer going to be the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: There's some other things here I wanted to get into based on an Ian Rappaport.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: report, he says that Harball wanted to run it back with the same exact staff, including the defensive coordinator, Zack or, and that apparently rub people the wrong way, Lamar Jackson, John Harball were not on the same page, plenty of other players agreed that they didn't want to play for Harball anymore.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: And even other coaches were not in line with Harball and what he wanted to do.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then let's see, this is from Adam Shepter, let me get to that one here in a second.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, before this came out, the Browns area was announced that the Browns requested an interview with Raven's offensive coordinator Todd Monkin, who, if you remember, was the Brown's offensive coordinator back in 2019 under Freddie Kitchen, so he was here for a year.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Got to be the O.C.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: under Freddie in that disaster of a season, and then obviously Kevin Sepanski came in
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: From what I've been gathering from different reports and things on Twitter, from different incitors, is that the conflict in Baltimore was not so much between Lamar Jackson and John Harball.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was more between Lamar Jackson and Todd Munkin, the offensive coordinator.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And John Harball was hell-bent and dead set on retaining his staff.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you remember this season that just wrapped up, the Ravens had one of the worst defenses in the league after losing Mike McDonald who has gone on to be a tremendous success in Seattle so far in his first two seasons head coaching up there, looks like they, I mean, they could really seriously make a push for a super bowl this season, all that kind of stuff.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: So we've got Zach or the defensive coordinator in Baltimore.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously you're looking at upper management probably hoping that Harball would like to bring in a different coach to to run the defense after how bad they were this year.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then obviously the rifting and the conflicting, whatever ideologies between the players, namely Lamar Jackson and Todd Monk in the
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: everybody into and so they let him go.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: There had been rumors and smoke and reports that the Ravens might go that direction anyway for the last couple weeks and here it is.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: Come to fruition.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, John Harble.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: on the market and as Justin so aptly suggested in his voice mail you send that man a check with a one and you a one in a blank space and you say how many zeros you want there right amen and let's have a conversation because I think that John Harble would be an excellent coach.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: for the Cleveland Browns coming in here because from what I have gathered about him I've been doing a ton of research on John Harbour here in the last 12 hours or so since this announcement came out I guess it's probably more like 16 hours now but anyway he was a special teams coordinator special teams coach before he got his head coaching job with the Ravens so his specialty lies obviously where the Browns main deficiency was other than offense this year
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, person to run the offense and person to run the defense and what's interesting is like I said start all this before the report ever came out that horrible was let go by the ravens The Brown said already announced that they're requesting an interview with Todd Monkey in the offensive coordinator that horrible didn't want to let go
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously that leads to the speculation is Andrew Barry just back into his 40 chess game here playing everybody kind of forcing the Ravens hand here that well Harball is dead set on keeping munking the Browns are not interviewing him for the head coach position in Cleveland.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: and now harbors like oh so that's another interesting turn of events that if harbors were to come to Cleveland, Todd Munkin wouldn't more than likely come along as the OC so it would be his second stint as offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: And for anybody out there that doesn't know John harbors past which I don't blame you we are Browns fans after all not Ravens fans.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: John harbors has talked about his
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: roots, not just connection or anything like that, but as actual roots in Northeast Ohio.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: He is a Browns fan.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: John Harbal grew up as Browns fan.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: This is an article from 247 sports back in 2018, where he said, my mom is from Cleveland.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: and went to Shaw High School over there in East Cleveland.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: My dad is from Cresline, Ohio, which is about an hour and a half south of there.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: And they met at Bowling Green State University, John Harball's dad, Jack.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: Coach, he was an assistant coach at Bowling Green.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: For, I think, a year or something like that, maybe more.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was also, he kind of started his coaching career at Canton McKinley, high school.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: So, very tied to North East Ohio.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Herbal said, all of our family on my mom's side is from Cleveland.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: And all of my family on my dad's side are Browns fans.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: We all grew up as Browns fans.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then there was a Monday Night Football game.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was the Ravens and the Texans were playing back in 2017 and the head of that you know, they do the interviews.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: all that stuff to kind of lead into the game and and everything and uh hardball was quoted saying I was a browns fan growing up.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: I have said that many times we grew up browns fans we grew up with artmodels, Browns, Lee Roy Kelly, Don Nelson, that is who we grew up with.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 11:29[SPEAKER_01]: There are ties to this organization for John Harble.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think anybody out there saying that there's no way in hell, John Harble would come to Cleveland to coach the Browns.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think is just jumping the gun a little bit.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's definitely an opportunity here.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's definitely a possibility, obviously.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to have his pick of the letter wherever he wants to go coach.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: He can pretty much name his price, name his team.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: to re-happ, to re-happ, re-happ, re-happ, re-happ, re-happ, re-happ, here are the teams, the seven teams.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: That currently have head coaching vacancies.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you've got the Browns.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: You got the Giants Falcons Cardinals Raiders Titans and now.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: The Ravens and a report that just dropped before I started recording this, that's very interesting.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me go back to this Adam Shepter tweet that leads into what I was just about to say, because this came out last night.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: He posted in the first 45 minutes after John Harble was fired, his agent Brian Harlan said he received calls from seven NFL teams expressing interest in his client.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: How many openings were there at that time?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: there were seven.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: One of them was the Ravens.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, they're not calling hardball as agent to see if he's available for an interview.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_01]: So that means there was one team already with a head coach currently employed reaching out to hardball's agent to see if he's available.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: And now we get a report here this morning that
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: First, I saw a report that there have now been several teams.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: Several teams with Head Coach is currently employed, reaching out about the interest and availability for John Harbourn, now one has been revealed in the Miami Dolphins.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: The Miami Dolphin to have Mike McDangno in at Head Coach currently and have not, as far as I've seen, have not made an announcement on his future as far as,
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: committing to him for 2026.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: They definitely haven't fired him yet, but they have now been reported to have reached out about John Harble.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: So Mike McDaniel, head coach for the Dolphins could very much be on the hot sea that could be another team looking for a head coach during this draft cycle.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: We got a list of head coaches to talk about here, possible candidates for the Browns to look into as the next leader of the team starting in 2026 and John Harvall just went straight to the top.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: Another thing to remember, the report came out earlier during the season.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: It was right before Brown's Ravens game, actually, where they said that the Ravens were going to select.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_01]: Quarterback Shador Sanders in the fifth round of the NFL draft before Shador informed the team that he would rather not go play behind Lamar Jackson And he would rather go to a team with a more direct path to the starting quarterback opportunity And that's when the Cleveland Browns traded up and took him at one forty four overall.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that means that John Harball
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: Unless he was not a part of that discussion, which I can't imagine he wouldn't be, John Harble does not appear to have any aversion to coaching Shidorah Sanders.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: So there are definitely ties to the Browns and let anybody tell you there's not.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: Do I put a lot of stake or high odds that he's coming to Cleveland?
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there are other opportunities that might be more enticing to him.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time,
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: He grew up a Browns fan, he's been in the AFC North, division his entire head coaching career with the Ravens.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: You get an opportunity to not only come coach your childhood team, your family's favorite team.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: You get to come, turn them around, bring them to relevance that they have not seen.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: They have not had since you were young before the team would even left.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you get to go shove it in your former team's face,
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what kind of guy John Harble is.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how vindictive or if if that's a sort of competitive nature he has, but there's a very real chance that there's at least going to be some conversations had here between the Browns and John Harble.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: I saw reports that the Browns have obviously already reached out to his agent.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: They're one of the teams.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously you'd be dumb not to.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, this is interesting.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm keeping tabs.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure you guys are all keeping tabs.

- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I already said the first interview request announced by the Browns was with the Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Munkin, the second one we got yesterday, the Browns have requested to interview the Seahawks defensive coordinator, Aiden Dirty.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's how you pronounce it.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I will preface everything I'm going to talk about here, saying, I have not,
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: Dived into any deep research about any head coaching candidates yet other than the surface who they are where they come from maybe a little bit about what they've done that's pretty much it until we get a little bit more serious with these and a little more confined list that's when I'll dive in because there's a couple guys that I really like but as far as guys like dirty here who I didn't know much about until this announcement came out I can't give you more details other than
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: He is the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's originally from England, London, England.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: He started out, I believe, over here, as the Cowboys defensive line coach in 2021, and he coached their until 2023.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then he got hired on as the Seahawks defensive coordinator last year in 2024.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Whenever Mike McDonald was the newly hired head coach off of the Raven staff.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_01]: So you've got a guy coming in here to interview as the head coach, at least I believe that's how it was reported.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it wasn't even reported that way.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: I should look into that.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_01]: But that's what we're all assuming.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the Browns did this kind of thing last year.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm trying to remember the name.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: They brought in, no, it was two years ago, 2023.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: They brought in Andy Dickerson.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Was one of the first people they requested an interview with for their head or not head coaching, for their offensive coordinator position after the fire at Alex van Pelt.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: So they bring in Andy Dickerson, everybody's like Andy Dickerson.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: He was the O-line coach of the Seattle.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, oh, okay, well, he's never been an offensive coordinator before, but okay, whatever.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: They eventually end up hiring him, not as thorough sea, but as the Brown's offensive line coach.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a very real possibility.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: Some of these interviews that you see, especially early on in the process here this first week or two, because there's still a lot of coaches that were interested in that I'm interested in that are involved in the playoffs.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so those hardcore interviews are not going to be able to take place for a while.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: a guy like dirty could be the Browns opening up a contingency plant just in case they would bring in a guy like john harbors the head coach and all of a sudden they're looking for a new defensive coordinator because gym shorts might not want to work under john harbors maybe john harbors doesn't want gym shorts.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: So if they're trying to get some other candidates in the building just to see what they have, if they don't hire them for head coaching, doesn't mean they're forgotten, it means that they could be a candidate for a different position.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think that Jim Schwartz could obviously be, and I think he will be interviewed as a potential possibility for the Brown Ted coaching position.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: If that happens, John, or Jim Schwartz would need a defensive coordinator, maybe a guy like Dirty, I don't know, but we would obviously need to fill that position with somebody.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, but if you now, if we go over and we look on Kalshi to see what the percentages are, what the odds are for the next Cleveland Browns head coach by the way, Kalshi, you guys hear the promo's on here all the time, but I use Kalshi a lot.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: These events and things and it's not just sports over there.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can do politics and all kinds of stuff on calcium, but I use it for this and I really like calcium.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not like I don't just not just advertising for them just for the sake of it.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: I actually use calcium.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I like calcium so again real quick.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: go over there, kalshi.com slash dogs, DAWGS, use promo code dogs to get $20 when you trade $100 when you go up in your account.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's, I think it's worth it.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's worth trying to if you like the sports books, if you like fan dole and draft kings and bed MGM and all those guys, which I still use that stuff too, but kalshi has kind of, I wasn't sure about it at first, but it's become my go-to.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I actually really like using kalshi.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: So they have, currently,
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: The leader, the leading position to be the next side coach of the Cleveland Browns.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: At 16% is John Harble.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let anybody tell you right now that it's impossible or that there's no way in hell he's coming here.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Because even Kalshi on the market has him as the leader currently.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: to be the Browns next-head coach.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: After him at 15%, a name that I'm not interested in for head coach is Cliff King's Berry.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: Offensive coordinator?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can sell me on offensive coordinator for the Browns of Cliff King's Berry.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: Head coach?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: No, thank you.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: Clint Kubiak is third at 14%.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: You want to sell me on Clint Kubiak?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: As O.C.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: don't waste your breath.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sold.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm there.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: You get me, or did I say O.C.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: head coach, whatever.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: You get me Clint Kubiak in here as the Brownside Coach.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a happy boy.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he...
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he is going to be a good coach.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to see what the career trajectory career path ahead for Kubiak looks like.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a lot of times in these cycles, head coaches get hired.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: Coordinators go to this team or that team or wherever.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, okay, whatever.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really care because I don't really know much about this guy or the other.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, some guys only last a year or two, anyway, where he Morrison guys like that.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: Kubiak is different.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: Kubiak is a guy that I've been interested in for a couple years, where he's been the OC in New Orleans.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's been the OC now up in Seattle.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously his dad and the ties to Kevin's defense, he had Minnesota and the offense and all that kind of stuff.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, just because Clint Kubiak and the family has ties with what Kevin's defense, he does and all offense, things like that, does not mean he's a defense key clone.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I've kind of seen that thrown around a little bit.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: Kubiak's a different dude.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's a different dude, and we've seen how his offense and the thing with Kevin that I just couldn't stand about him.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_01]: The dude didn't adapt anything.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't change anything when you've got defenders on the other side of the ball defensive coordinators.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: calling out what place you're running before you run them.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's a problem.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: That is a major problem and he just got stale.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: Got stale, but I do like Clint Kubiak coming in after him.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: Now these these percentages are all very close.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're listening, you got like I said horrible at 19 Kingsbury at 15 Kubiak at 14% and then right there with him is Robert
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: I am torn without doing more research, yeah, which I've told you guys I haven't done, but Robert solid just from what I know of him, excellent defensive coordinator.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's had great success out there in San Francisco with the 49ers.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: He tried his hand at head coaching, with the jets, and I understand a lot of times, first time head coaches, it doesn't go well.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: some guys go back to the coordinator position for a little while and then they try head coaching again and it's better the second time around.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: They've learned things.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: They've obviously experienced failure and learned from it and adapted adjusted all those things.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_01]: The failure in New York though and I understand a lot of it is probably the new York organization.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: The jets are as far as dumpster fires go.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: Are the browns worse than jets?
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think they might be worse than us if we're being honest about it.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: Did not go well for Robert Sala, but a lot of my hesitation with him was not just so much that they had losing records and things like that, it's more of the, he lost the players.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Unless I'm misremembering that, you guys let me know in the comments, everybody who follows and knows that stuff a little better than I do off hand.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: From what I remember, Robert Sola was losing locker room.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: He was losing the players.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: They're losing respect.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: One thing about Kevin's defense is there might have been some players on the team that didn't like him or didn't respect him, but you really don't know because it was never apparent.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: It was, from what I remember, it was apparent with Robert Sala.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then at 13% number five on this list is Kraschula, a guy that I am interested in, the defensive coordinator out in Los Angeles with the Rams.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: They have had a tremendous defensive turnaround.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: under Shula with the Rams.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: And you just gotta go look at the tree.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody that's coached with Sean McVay, whether it's been on offense or defense, and they go get an opportunity somewhere.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't work out for everybody.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Like Reemorse, it did not work out for Reemorse.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he brought who was Zach Robinson with him from McVay staff out in LA.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: end up working out.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: Schul as a guy that I am interested in now he's a defensive guy and I know that I think it was sheftor Adam Sheftor podcast the other day said he can't imagine the Brown's looking at a defensive head coach because he thinks that the Brown's best move forward is keeping Jim Schwartz as the defensive coordinator based on how well the defensive played the last three seasons under Schwartz.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: trying to keep some consistency there with the players because that is the strength of your team.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's saying, if I'm the Browns, I'm not interviewing anybody who's not an offensive coach.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's where we need that leadership and that voice we've already got it with Jim Schwartz.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can't hire a defensive head coach and hope to keep Jim Schwartz because he probably will probably go elsewhere.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see, obviously they've got the interview and we're dirty from Seattle and maybe they'll interview Shula from the Rams.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: But either way, six on the list on CalShe at 11% is Todd Munkin, at 11, well, I just said 11% but the O.C.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: from the Ravens who we've already requested an interview with.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then just to go through the list here because there's quite a few names and I wanna make sure we touch on all these.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Todd Monkin at 11% then you get a 10% chance for Jim Schwartz to be the next side coach.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: 9% from Mike McCarthy, who by the way, when I say the name Mike McCarthy, if you guys are like me, especially if you're like Blake, it's like, oh, just don't even talk to me about Mike McCarthy.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: there's worse their worst candidates than Mike McCarthy.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just say that.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Again, haven't done a whole lot of diving into these coaches and what they might be able to bring to the team and some of their history, but I do know he's got a very good winning record.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a very good win percentage in his very extensive NFL career.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Browns could do worse.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just put that way.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying I want him.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying I want Mike McCarthy or he's at the top of my list or anything like that.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's in my top five.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: But I think they could definitely do worse than Mike McCarthy.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: After him, at 8% is Bryan Flores.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: We've kind of detailed that a little bit about.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, as he the best player personnel type of guy to come in here, with a young quarterback and the way he berated to him.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: And all that, the crap that went down in Miami,
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's obviously done a really good job of the defensive coordinator for the Vikings and just like what's some of these other guys.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, kind of fail on your first head coaching stint.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: You learn from it.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: You come back a second time around better prepared, a grown human being, a grown individual, more evolved, all that kind of stuff.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not obviously ruling out Brian Forret, so I think,
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: could be a real possibility.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then you've got 7% Mike McDaniel, who is it even fired yet?
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's some of this stuff is wild.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: But on Calshy, Mike McDaniel has the 7% chance to be the next Brownshead coach, even though he's not yet
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: Fire, he's still the head coach of Miami.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy stuff, but there it is.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: 5% after him, 5% for Joe Brady, the OC up in Buffalo.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_01]: 8% which this is a little out of order here.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: This should be up with the floor as McCarthy stuff.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: 8% Tommy Reese.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: the current offensive coordinator for the Browns.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: How do you feel about promoting Tommy Reese?
- 30:00[SPEAKER_01]: All the way up to head coach.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so confused on Tommy Reese just because of him being the offensive coordinator, but it's Kevin's defense.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's offence in his system.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: So what is what Tommy Reese really do?
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then he took over play calling.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: How well did things improve?
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: But it's still Kevin's off.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know guys.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Like
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: Let me know what you think about the possibility of Tommy Reese being the next head coach.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's highly touted as an up-and-coming coach of people like him, whether it's college or NFL.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: And people like him, 4%, little Bella check.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can probably put that one at zero.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: I would be shocked, would be shocked.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then 3% is Jesse Mentor.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: who is the defensive coordinator right now for the Los Angeles chargers.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: So we have odds here with both defensive coordinators for L.A. teams.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then everybody else in the list is less than 1% currently on calcium.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: The first name on the list.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'll throw it out there because I think it's funny and I think people will.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: You take it from what you want, but it's Deon Sanders.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think the less the one percent is accurate for Calshy, but hey, again, I could think of worse, I could think of worse.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: But rolling back up here, obviously, and where was this just a little bit of go?
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: When I first started this whole monologue here, it wasn't 18% for John Harble.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: It just went up to 20.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: As I'm talking, it just increased to 20%.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: So if you had put a yes, if you had, and I guess it's not really correct to say bet, if you had traded yes on John Harble being the, or the head coach of the Cleveland Browns,
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: 10 minutes ago, you would have gotten a higher pay out than you would right now, or just moved up to 20%.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: Cliff King's Barrier at 15, Clint Kubieck at 14, Robert Solid 13, Chris Shullett 13, Todd Munkin, at 11 and rounding out the double, or yeah, the double, digit percentages, Jim Schwartz at 10%.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: So again, that's Kalshi KALSHI.com head over there,
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Trade 200 or trade 100 get 20 from them on the house.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: Just use our code dogs DAWGS for calcium.

- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: This one is from Claude.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, gang.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: It's Claude from Erio.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: Just wanted to call in and say how stoked I am about the Browns.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: Gary got the sack.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: Finish the season with two wins.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_02]: This is a fan's he's gone.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: It just, it feels, it feels different.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_02]: I've been a Browns fan quite a while and I've never felt this stoked.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like even when we made the playoffs, was it 2020, 2020, 2003?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like I was,
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: I was a static, but it never felt like we had a stable foundation when we were in that.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know why, but this year, like ending this year, I feel like we have a foundation.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I've never felt this good about losing season and this excited for the next.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just the vibes are good.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: The vibes are good in Cleveland and I I think in three years we will we will be something like the bandwagoners are coming All right the bandwagoners are coming So I just want to say thank you first a great season of podcast and And sure let's go get take whoa whoa
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go get Tatar right.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Claude, appreciate the voicemail.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's interesting because I got your voicemail, then I got one other one here to play.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: And the positive vibes from Browns fans are...
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now, what I was expecting, I was expecting a little more doom and gloom because like, I mean, if you talk to Blake, he thinks the Browns are going to get the absolute worst head coaching candidate that we can get.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be if we have five choices we're getting our seventh basically.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of how I think he looks at this situation.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: And the only thing I'll say here, so I will caution your optimism, and I'm not trying to just be negative for negative sake, but this is something that I learned the hard way.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: I just hit myself in the mouth of the mic.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: I've never been more stoked for a Cleveland Brown season than I was following 2018 heading into 2019 because the Browns had Baker, Mayfield, who just set the rookie touchdown passing touchdown record, beat Peyton Manning's record looked awesome, fire and Cleveland were winning ball games.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: It was a losing season, but we're still winning games and it was great and everything.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_01]: We just traded for Odo Beckham.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: traded for Odell Beckham.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: We've gotten it, Joe.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: We've got Jarvis Landy Miles Garrett Denzel Ward.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Looking great.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_01]: David and Joku.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, man.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: I was so excited for that season.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: We hired Freddie Kitchens.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: That was the head coach because we fired that 82 Jackson.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: And then we promoted Freddie Kitchens.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: Baby, the guy that came in as the interim O.C.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: for Baker Mayfield.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: Those two had such a connection and Baker was just firing all at all cylinders.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: with Freddy Kitchens.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: As O.C.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: in 2018, and then they made in the head coach in 2019, heading into that season.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, to the playoffs, we go, baby.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: Just just open the doors right now.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're coming.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're coming.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a great season.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: Then I will never forget my dad, long, long time Browns fan.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: Always the voice of reason for me when it comes to this team.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Talk to him after every game, before every game, about all this stuff that's going on.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he's my grounding factor.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: And what I learned in that season because he told me,
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get your hopes up too much.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: Dad, what are you talking about, man?
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: What's everything that got just said for any kitchens?
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: Him and Baker, we got, oh, yeah, with Jarvis, oh, man, this often's Nick Chow off.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean, don't get your hopes up?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got together, watch that first game.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Never forget this, never forget this.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Browns, titans, at home, in Cleveland,
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: We got rolled, just rolled, rocked, demolished, humiliated, okay.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, not a great start to the season, and unfortunately not only was it the start to the season it was the tone and it set the foundation for a very bad season.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I agree with you that things do look positive from the standpoint you're coming from.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: Let's temper it because a lot of this is going to depend on what we do at Head Coach.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: Are we going to hire another Freddie Kitchen's?
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: That 2026 is going to look very good if we do that.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the quarterback?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Is it should door Sanders?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_01]: Do the Browns build around him?
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: Does he take that next step forward?
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Do we find our answer in the fifth round?
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: We still don't know.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now I've seen enough from Shador on the field and based on where we are in the draft and the options that are going to be like available.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he's the right person to build around and give the 2026 season to now say they do that.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: Say they do that and he's not the guy any fails.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be a great year.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: and we could be back in the same situation as soon as next year it would not be again the first time the Browns have had a head coach for one season and then had to move on and find something again.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of this is going to depend on what we do at head coach.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: What we do at quarterback, how we build up this offense is Andrew Berry even capable of building up an offense.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_01]: Did it bang up job with the defense?
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give him that, that defense is legit.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: I've got some great great players.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's why I think this job might be very attractive to, I mean, a guy like John Harball, who's not coming in here to run the offense.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's coming in here to run the team.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: He got a more CEO-minded head coach or a defensive guy.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: Could look at the Brown situation and say, yeah, I love it.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Love it.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_01]: Best defense in the league.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: One of them, Miles Garrett, Denzo Ward, all these guys, Swayshinger, Graham.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Grant Delpit, Alex Wright.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we could definitely push back, I keep saying, because I want you to get him perkins, we're very... Defense looks really good.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: Offensive pieces, we have some really good ones, some good young ones.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with those offensive pieces, I'm trying to play both sides here.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: I love Harold Fannett.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think Harold Fannett is going to be a perennial pro bowler.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I love Quinn Sean Juttkins.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: He looks like he can be your feature running back of an NFL offense, more course, and just get the job done.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: Um, those aren't premium positions.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's the problem.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's the problem.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: I know Gosh, who was it?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody was posting on Twitter about why the Browns.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't even that.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: It was an injury.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was listing why what assets the Browns have that make them an attractive destination for a new coach.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things that he said, one of the things he listed was a good young core on offense.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: and then I saw the contradictions online that I 100% agree with.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: What are you talking about?
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, a good core on offense would include, you got your left tackle.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: You got your quarterback, you got your wide receiver one.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_01]: Cool, that's a core.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's a core on offense that you can build around.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can bring another line and other receivers.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: You can fill out the backfield, all that kind of stuff.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_01]: Your core, you can't have a solid,
- 41:37[SPEAKER_01]: and not even a traditional Titan more of an h-back slot put them out wide receiver type of Titan.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: So while I love those pieces, I'm not taking anything away from them.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: For nom, we haven't seen rookies do this kind of thing and Cleveland for a long time, maybe ever.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_01]: We got to pump the brakes a little bit because that offensive core does actually exist like Andrew Barry thinks it does.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's another reason why if Andrew Barry thinks that's an offensive core, we are in deep due to because we need a quarterback.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: We need to make sure that that offensive core consists of a left tackle and a freaking wide receiver one
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope that was not part of his offensive core in his mind because Jerry Judy should not be considered part of any offensive core conversations.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: We need a real wide receiver one.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: I go back to your voicemail, get Carnal Tate.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: The problem is, and I see a lot of people online saying, Carnal Tate's not even a first round town.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: He should be taken in the second round.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_01]: He might not even be available when the Browns pick it six.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: He is the only wide receiver with a first round grade right now by ESPN.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, there's a reality.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's a very real situation where the Browns are sitting at six in April and Carnal Tate is not available.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: because the New York Giants took him at five.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: That's a very real possibility.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: So let's just try to mentally prepare for this because I think he, one, I think he's that good.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think he will be that good.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think other teams are gonna know that too.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_01]: But, Claude, thank you for the voice mail.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's move on.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: Final voice mail for today, this one is from Chase.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_03]: What's up, dogs podcast?
- 43:25[SPEAKER_03]: This is Chase coming in from Wisconsin.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to come out here and say how much I enjoy and love listening to this podcast.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_03]: I've been a big supporter of it and love it.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: Everything about it, I think it's super cool you guys do.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_03]: And I just wanted to come out here and say that the future, I mean, you as a Browns fan know this and everything that you do for the podcast, but I just wanted to come out here and say, it is amazing to see how bright the future is in Cleveland.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: You see rookies like Fanon, Judkin, Samson, Bond, Graham, Swesinger, Shador.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_03]: And seeing the promise or whatever, I mean, you know, we got top defense in the league right and then you have these offensive pieces that could be really something special.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: So really it's just as hard as it is watching games and seeing the
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: you know, to often struggle and seeing them being these key pieces away from being a winning football team.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_03]: It really is something special to see that we are just so close to being a winning football team.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_03]: It just will take.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: a couple pieces and it will be really interesting to listen to you and follow you during this offseason to see exactly what happens because I mean we don't know what's going to happen but with this high-cote hiring it's going to be pretty interesting so you know I just want to keep following and thank you guys for all you do go bronze.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: Wisconsin, huh?
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: Chase, that's pretty cool, man.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: I gotta tell you my sister-in-law, her and her entire family are originally from Wisconsin.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: She married my brother, and now they're actually part owners of the Green Bay Packers, because she grew up with Packers fan, and he got obviously tied into that fandom with her, married into it, and now they own a share.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it's one share of the Green Bay Packers, so.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_01]: we got some ties to Wisconsin anyhow.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah, I'm with you.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Everything you said kind of goes back to what I was saying after Claude's voice mail about the rookie class and while the players are on offense because the defense is great.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: Defense is good.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, while on offense,
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: I love those guys, but again, they're just, they're not at the premium positions and that's the issue.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_01]: That is the issue.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: And Andrew Barry, six seasons now and Cleveland has not been able to successfully nail down.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: The key primary positions, premium positions on offense.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's not been able to secure a long-term alpha dog, wide receiver one.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Amari Cooper had two great seasons here, but again,
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: not the alpha dog type of white receiver one that we're looking for that good teams have hasn't been able to do that.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly has not been able to nail down the quarterback position has swung and missed.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: How many of our 42 starting quarterbacks, since 1999, I have been under Andrew Barry now, 13 of them, I think, I think it's 13.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: That ain't good.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's a sign that you don't know what you're doing.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: You got 13 different starting quarterbacks in six years, you idiot.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, there's a little bit of my personal feeling about Andrew Barry starting a seat out here, and he's not been able to walk down a left tackle.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: His first shot at it was to take a right tackle from Alabama and turn him into a left tackle.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: That worked out well.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you do next?
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: Take a right tackle from Ohio State and turn him into a left tackle.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: What are we doing?
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: I swear if we take another freaking right tackle in the draft and try to turn them into a left tackle, I'm going to lose my mind.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_01]: You take Francis, how you say amalg yoga from Miami, the right tackle, and you try to put him at left.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be so mad at you guys, oh, stop it, get a freaking left tackle.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: God has secured these premium positions.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_01]: And all this conversation about these players, these rookies, these young guys, the promise that we see, none of it matters.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: Unless we get the head coach, the head coach, decision is paramount to any future success that this team has in the cards.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: If we're gonna see an improvement in 2026 over the five and 12 record, it's gonna be directly tied to whoever we get for head coach.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_01]: And then it'll go to directly tied to whoever's playing quarterback.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_01]: And whoever we get to play left tackle and wide receiver, but it starts.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: with this head coach decision.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's important guys.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_01]: This head coaching decision is important.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_01]: So drop in the comments.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_01]: I want to hear from you guys.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_01]: I always love hearing from you guys about every topic.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: This one's very important.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I need you.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: I need to hear who do you want to be the next browns head coach and why or who do you not want and why.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: The why is important because I it's easiest to say why I don't want Mike McCarthy.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me why.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: I need to know why
- 48:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a check mark or a tally on the no side for him.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want Jim Schwartz promoted to Head Coach?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want the Browns to do everything that can get Kubiak in here?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want Cliff Kingsbury?
- 48:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: And here's my why, obviously.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like how things have ever gone for him as a head coach, whether it was in college or in the NFL when he was with Arizona.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_01]: It just some guys you can just tell are not cut out to be a head coach.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Cliff Kingsbury is a very good offensive mind.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that's where it stops.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: He needs to be an offensive coordinator.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be interested in that position, but not head coach.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want Robert Sala from San Francisco?
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: Shula, Chris Shula from the Rams, Todd Monk and from the Ravens.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you guys want?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: Outside of John Harball, because I think we can all pretty much agree.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: That would be the idea to get.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't want John Harball,
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely drop it in the comments and tell me why.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_01]: And don't be afraid to get attacked by everybody else who's going to call you crazy as long as you explain yourself.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm sure there might be a person or two out there that's not a big hardball fan and if it's just because he's coming from Baltimore, come on.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: The guy's a hell of a head coach.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's had a great career and we've seen it many times before.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes these coaches get stale where they are and they need a change of scenery.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_01]: It happened with Andy Reed and Philly.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: look at what he's been able to do in Kansas City.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's Dan Quinn.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go very well when he was the head coach for the Falcons.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I didn't end well there and then he went and he was a coordinator, decornator for the Cowboys for a few years and then he got back into it with Washington took them to the NFC Championship game in his first year.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, when you lose your quarterback early in the season, everything, the commander's had a terrible season this year.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: just goes to show you how much, how much of your team's overall success really hinges on that quarterback position.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go brownies, get this thing right, get this thing right, Andrew Barry.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be the, I'm not shy about it.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have faith in you.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't done it.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's been six years and you have not done it.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: All you've done to the roster is kill it.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: On the offensive side of the ball, you've ruined it.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing there other than a couple guys from this rookie class.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I like Dylan Samson.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_01]: I know Chase was talking about Dylan Samson his voice mail, but he was very hardly utilized this year.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: He had some good moments, but it's almost like the team didn't even know what to do with him.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_01]: We got to get the right people in here to run this thing.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_01]: We got to get the right answer at quarterback.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's your door.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I'm all about let's give him this offseason to prepare.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're the starter.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're building this thing around you.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have personally the worries or concerns that should or Sanders won't.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: work if he's handed the job or at least given the QB1 spot on the dev chart.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can tell him your QB1 is your job to lose and it can be lost.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_01]: I would tell that to any quarterback, not just Shador.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I guess just speaking of quarterback I didn't want to mention Ty Simpson.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: quarterback from Alabama, and this report just came out before I started recording as well, did inform the Alabama coaching staff that he will be entering the NFL draft.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we've got three quarterbacks, top quarterbacks that are going to be in debate, obviously.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I shouldn't even say that because Fernando Mendoza and Dante Moore have not officially declared we all expect them to.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: But officially have not declared a new surprise if they don't.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: Ty Simpson was one that was kicking around going back to Alabama or potentially entering the transfer portal.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: My guess is they have other players at Alabama that they would probably prefer to get in there younger guys because since there's a little bit of orders 23 already and they probably got some younger guys from younger crews that's like a look.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's time to move on to the next era of Alabama football.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know their
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: recruiting process, I don't know what prospects or kids that they have in line to play quarterback down there.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: But I know the reports that I saw previously were Tyson's and exploring and during the transfer portal.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe he just got some feedback from teams like, yeah, not all that interested or the programs that he would be interested in going to, maybe they already had the spots filled or a plan and place.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, Tyson Simpson will be entering the NFL draft.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: That'll be an interesting one because he had points in the season.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_01]: definitely had moments and a stretch of this college football season where he was being listed and projected as a first round quarterback.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then over the back part of the season, kind of fell off the edge.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: I saw some speculation that maybe he had an injury he was dealing with.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of hindering him.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_01]: and causing that downturn in production, but it didn't end well.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_01]: For Ty Simpson, if it had ended the way it was going earlier in the season, I would already be sitting here saying, yeah, it's first round pick.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to take him in the first round.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not so sure.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_01]: The draft process is only just beginning.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: So hang out with us.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be here for everything.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be here for this head coaching search.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be here for the free agency and the draft prospects.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: I got to do my breakdowns and start evaluating tape and talking about my top players at these different positions.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a ton of fun.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for the the months coming when you're a
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: A three-win team that got lucky to be five wins at the end of the season, and this is the part of the year you really look forward to because you know you're watching other teams, play on Saturdays and Sundays in January and February.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you guys tuning in again, leave me comments anywhere.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: I see them even if I'm not replying to everybody because we get a ton of comments.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_01]: Trust me, I'm reading through, I'm scrolling, I'm seeing them, I'm getting content, ideas, I'm getting feedback from you on what you're thinking, what you're wanting and everything surrounding this team.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: So again, thank you for tuning in, head to join the dogs.com if you want to be part of the dog pack community over there and be part of the dog pack discord live episodes this week.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't even announced anything to the group yet in that community, but I think I'm planning on doing maybe like an early afternoon edition of that on Saturday or Sunday because during the season we were doing everything on Thursday nights at five to preview the upcoming game because we wanted to get the content out there and enough time for people listen to it ahead of the game on Sunday.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we don't have that strict schedule.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I think maybe more people would be able to tune in, hang out, and get on the show if we did it over the weekend.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: So I think we'll try Saturday or Sunday this weekend.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: Haven't determined for sure yet, but if you guys are in the dog pack, just stay tuned.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm currently thinking.

- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: Drop your thoughts and opinions and everything questions in the comments.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you guys soon because again, I don't have a schedule right now for how we're producing.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_01]: episodes it's just going to be based on the new cycle and what we have to talk about.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_01]: So it could be tomorrow.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: It could be two days.
