- 0:10Good morning everyone. This is Michelle Hughes from Ageless and Timeless. Well,
- 0:14this is our series with Jay Campbell. I think everybody knows him by now.
- 0:19If you haven't seen him on my podcast, you certainly see him in
- 0:23many other podcasts and on his own and well all over Instagram. I can't
- 0:30turn on Instagram without seeing Jay. But anyway, Jay, welcome back.
- 0:34This is our third third in the series, two on mine and one on
- 0:40yours. Now next is my turn on yours and can't wait to do that
- 0:44with you again. But I think we decided last time that we were going
- 0:47to go through a number of different subjects, but so much has happened in
- 0:52the two and a half months since you were on my podcast. So let
- 0:55me just summarize for everybody that's watching today that you know, if you don't
- 1:00know Jay Campbell in his prolific ability to write the most amazing books, then
- 1:07you are going to have a treat today because whether you do or you don't
- 1:11know that Jay is probably one of the most well uh what do you what
- 1:19do you call it? Researched authors? He he spends I don't know how
- 1:26he does it, really, Jay, I really know how how do you
- 1:27do you even sleep at night? But I do a lot of it is
- 1:33my team. I have two amazing copywriters that I've trained personally coached and trained
- 1:37you know, with my information for seven years now, so they help with
- 1:41it. But I do have I do struggle sometimes with being a good dad
- 1:46and a good husband. Thankfully, I have a really good wife that allows
- 1:49me to do the work that I do. Right, His wife is Monica,
- 1:53and his daughter is Alex. Right, I have three. Actually,
- 1:57Alex and Gabby are my biologicals and then my bonus daughter is Alana, who
- 2:02just won the Division two national championship at Point Loma for soccer, and she
- 2:07was actually a second team All American. So she's returning next year for her
- 2:13fifth year and her entire team return so they're expected to repeat as Division two
- 2:17national championships for women's soccer in Point Loma in San Diego. So shout out
- 2:23to Alana. Yeah, thanks for telling us that. So she's not your
- 2:29biological daughter, but she's taking after her non biological that's right. We always
- 2:37like to say she's my spiritual daughter. And then my biological daughter, Gabriella,
- 2:39which is our youngest, is my Monica's spiritual daughter. So you know,
- 2:44when you start getting into souls and you start really looking at like how
- 2:46much people are similar, it is very interesting. Well, I wanted everyone
- 2:52to know that first of all, that you have written the Bible on testosterone,
- 2:58and if people haven't read that, at least look at the monarch notes
- 3:02of it, because it's how many, six hundred and thirty pages or something,
- 3:07six hundred and thirty pages and like eleven hundred scientific references. Yeah,
- 3:12and that was one of your first efforts in this whole wellness world when you
- 3:15left the real estate and corporate just like me, we have a very similar
- 3:22background, and we've talked about that before. But at any rate, that
- 3:25was the Bible has become the Bible and still today after what fifteen years day?
- 3:31Yeah, I mean that's well, so the first book was the first
- 3:35book is now ten years in the second book, which is the Bible is
- 3:39wow eight now oh eight okay? So eight and ten okay? So in
- 3:45between then, just for everybody's awareness, if you want to really read all
- 3:50of Jay's works, go ahead and tell us the history of all the chronological
- 3:54history of all the other books and what they do. So for sure that
- 3:59The Definitives Our Team Manual was the first book, and it is still doing
- 4:02actually really well on Amazon, which is hilarious in the international communities because I
- 4:06think it's a little bit more basic than The Bible, which came out three
- 4:10years later. But in between those two books, I also wrote The Metabolic
- 4:13Blowtworts Diet, which is, according to Amazon, the third highest sold or
- 4:17rated book on fasting. And then I wrote The Bible in two seventeen,
- 4:24and then we were the next The next three books were Guaranteed Shredded, the
- 4:30Optimizer Health, Therapeutic Peptides, and I'm missing one right now. It's escaping
- 4:35me. And then the most recent book, which came out in September of
- 4:39last year, is Thirty Days to Shreds, and that book, along with
- 4:44Optimizer Health with Therapeutic cup Tides, are definitely the two most I would say
- 4:48cutting edge at least in the marketplace right now, and like really teaching people
- 4:53how to use therapeutic peptides, you know, to get into the best shape
- 4:57possible, right and Thirty Days to Shreds was like taking the really super advanced
- 5:01peptides like GLP one agonists and constructing a lifestyle dietarily that was built around using
- 5:10those products to you know, get into the best shape possible. And it's
- 5:13obviously, as you know, it's written for newbies, so you know,
- 5:15people who are metabolically deranged all the way to superstar rock Star. You know,
- 5:21male and female fitness competitors that want to go from like you know,
- 5:25twelve percent body fat to five percent body fat. That's just amazing. I
- 5:30okay, So you sent me the links and I started to read last night.
- 5:33I had hoped I would get it earlier, but the life takes its
- 5:38twists and turns, so and I thought, oh, I'll never get to
- 5:42read all of this before the podcast. However, I would fill in the
- 5:46blanks by asking a lot of questions about it. So anyway, I read
- 5:48the first couple of chapters. So here here are some questions that came up
- 5:53just in those two chapters. One, since you have written other books on
- 5:58similar subjects of fat law, and also, you know, just just overall,
- 6:04as you say, it's shredding, why did you write this book?
- 6:09What is different in this book that wasn't in the last two books. Yeah,
- 6:14it's a great question, you know. Truthfully, I really didn't want
- 6:15to write another book on fat loss because I feel like it's a dead horse
- 6:20and it's been beaten to death by so many different people. But so much
- 6:24has changed, Michelle in the last three years. You know, when I
- 6:28say it's interesting, right because what I need, I almost have to take
- 6:31a step back when I say so much has changed. So much has changed
- 6:34for our audiences, but not for the world, right, because even though
- 6:38we understand these amazing products like GLP one agonist drugs, it's still literally less
- 6:43than six percent of the planet is even exposed to these things. Peptize is
- 6:46ten percent. Yeah, right, So like these are so novel and so
- 6:53far out in advance of like the average person. I mean, and again,
- 6:57you know, to put it in perspective, I've been using therapeutic peptides
- 7:00myself since two thousand and four, I think, yeah, so for twenty
- 7:04years, and it kind of boggles my mind too, but you know,
- 7:09to think that still it's so far out in advance. But the reason that
- 7:12I answered question, the reason I wrote the book was I wanted to have
- 7:15a final book on fat loss that was basically, like, you know,
- 7:20everything I've learned in my twenty five years is a you know, super advanced
- 7:24biohacker, but compiled in a way that a basic newbie who had no understanding
- 7:30of fat loss, who had no understanding of peptides, who had no understanding
- 7:33of literally anything, but wanted to like get on the fast track, you
- 7:39know, relative to their level of experience, could have. Because my previous
- 7:43two books were more for I won't say advanced, but just more for people
- 7:48that understood what fasting was. And so I finally wanted to like have this
- 7:51compendium book that said, hey, it doesn't matter who you are, where
- 7:56you're at in your life from a fitness level, you can buy this book,
- 8:00can pick up where you're at and apply it from there. Right,
- 8:03So you could literally use none of the amazing things that we'll probably talk about
- 8:07on this podcast and we have on previous podcasts and still get results. And
- 8:11so that's why I wrote the book. Yes, and I noticed that to
- 8:16that point, you have three categories of or levels of ability to embrace the
- 8:24book. So there's a beginner level and advanced level, and then the how
- 8:28do you say the optimized and I won't tell you what that means, but
- 8:33I think everybody can figure it out anyway. So yeah, So that's even
- 8:41that was even exciting to see because nobody is left out. And I saw
- 8:46the forward by Jason, you're a CEO of Tera and have put it been
- 8:50a beginner right because he was completely out of shape and he looked at him
- 8:56today. So anyone who gets the book or look it up, look Jason
- 9:00and Horwitz, right, ye, I think, exactly up and you'll see
- 9:03the just how that's a great testimony of just how this book has and how
- 9:07Jay himself has influenced so many people in their quest to be the best version
- 9:16of themselves. So I was trying to figure out what level I was at,
- 9:20and I guess I decided I'm advanced. I'm not beginning but not and
- 9:24I'm not the f and optimized yet I think I think just so you know,
- 9:28you know, to better say that, you know, because you know,
- 9:31obviously fully optimized. Get fully optimized is kind of my catchphrase, and
- 9:35so they wanted to incorporate that my editing team and my editorial team. But
- 9:39it really is for people that are competitors, right, so they're like super
- 9:45lean. They pretty much know all the drugs and all the supplements and all
- 9:50that. But it's kind of like Okay, I can do this in thirty
- 9:52days, and I can take myself from twelve percent to six percent or ten
- 9:56percent to seven percent body fat, you know, a woman fifteen to twelve
- 10:00or something like that. So that's kind of what that really is. But
- 10:01yeah, it's obviously super advanced. Yeah, and then so the in body
- 10:07is the way I've used at all the a form American Academy of Anti Aging
- 10:13shows. I go to. First thing I try to do is go to
- 10:16the inbody, so, you know, and I'm not happy. You know,
- 10:22I'm at twenty one percent and I used to be fourteen when I was
- 10:26in my twenties, but of course that's long ago. But now I was
- 10:31eighteen for a while. Yeah, there it is. Today's podcast is brought
- 10:35to you by International Anti Aging Systems and Profound Health. The founder, Phil
- 10:41Mickens has been a guest on Ageless and Timeless, and those who know him
- 10:46personally, as I am so fortunate to do, can attest to his knowledge,
- 10:50experience, authenticity, and his passion to help make the world a better
- 10:56place with a commitment to work profoundly to improve our health. I personally have
- 11:01used the peptide bioregulators some of his hormones and his skincare products, and I
- 11:09can attest to their efficacy. If you want those unique and value added,
- 11:13evidence based health products, then IAS and Profound Health are your number one resource.
- 11:18We're going to flash on the screen the different websites that you can use
- 11:22in order to order their products. And no matter which website you go to
- 11:28and which products you order, please use the Ageless code for a fifteen percent
- 11:31discount. Well, so let me tell you about embody. This will make
- 11:35you feel better. So so I'm super lean right now. Like if I
- 11:39took my shirt off, I have full six pack abs. And I went
- 11:43and did this on Saturday in Miami at the AMMG Medical Conference, and I
- 11:48am according to this, you know, with all shoes on. Really you
- 11:52know, just I had a T shirt and shorts. I was two hundred
- 11:56and four pounds, two hundred and four pounds. Now when I had this
- 12:01in December, same as you. When I was there, I was two
- 12:05hundred and fourteen pounds. So I was ten pounds heavier. I was not
- 12:07as lean, uh And I tested at eight point nine percent. Now when
- 12:15I did this shredded, I tested it at eleven percent. Oh wow,
- 12:20I can assure you. And I even had not an argument, but a
- 12:24conversation with the guy. Yeah, you know, he didn't know who I
- 12:28was, and he didn't know how smart I was, and so by the
- 12:31end I had him all tongue tied and twisted, but he basically admitted that
- 12:33it's a five percent error, Marge. So here's the thing. The truth
- 12:39is I was probably six or seven percent body fat on that measurement, and
- 12:46it measured me at eleven. And the reason that these and these are the
- 12:50inbodies are what are called bio impedical or bioimpedical electrics, and so basically it's
- 12:56measuring the electrical conductivity of your body when it measures your actual body composition.
- 13:03So here's the problem. If you do it any other time than first thing
- 13:07in the morning, when you're dehydrated, it can absolutely throw it and skew
- 13:11it. And when I measured, I measured it at twelve thirty in the
- 13:16afternoon, and I had already drank probably at least two liters of water by
- 13:20then. Yeah, so that threw my body composition off. And I mean,
- 13:24I you know, I had that conversation with him. I said,
- 13:26hey, bro, this is wrong because I'm leaner than when I measured this,
- 13:31and by the way, I carry it with me on my phone.
- 13:33So I shared him with my December data, with that data, and he
- 13:37was just admitted to me. He's like, well, there's a five percent
- 13:41error margin. You know. I even like lifted up my shirt. He
- 13:43looked at me. He was like, you're like ripped, and I'm like,
- 13:45yeah, I've been doing this a long time, so your stuff is
- 13:48wrong, right, So like there's a five percent error margin. And again
- 13:52depending on what time of the day when I did it, when I did
- 13:56it with you at the same time you did it in December. I did
- 14:01it in the morning in fact, Monaic and I just got to the seminar
- 14:05and we were both fasted and I hadn't done I brushed my teeth. Not
- 14:09the seminar, but the vendor show or whatever it's called, the expo he
- 14:13existed. I was like one of the first places I went, and so
- 14:15again I was dehydrated. I was first thing in the morning. I had
- 14:18already gone to the bathroom too, and I tested like eight point nine,
- 14:22and again I was ten pounds heavier, and I wasn't nearly as lean like
- 14:24if I would have measured eleven percent then yeah, and I was like,
- 14:28okay, that's probably about right. But I tested eight point nine and I
- 14:31was like, oh, that's interesting. I'm maintaining my leanness. So the
- 14:35bottom line is it's a five percent air margin, and I would assume that
- 14:39mine was at the higher end of this one. Okay. Yeah, I
- 14:43went in December. It was at midday. I had already had some a
- 14:48few snacks, you know, like fruit, and so you're probably you're probably
- 14:52sixteen or seventeen percent, which is really elite for a woman. Okay,
- 14:56that's really good. You've made my day because I was a little down about
- 15:01it, honestly because I know that you know how hard yeah, absolutely,
- 15:07how hard we all work to keep. But I need to look at doing
- 15:11your program because all of us do, and no matter where we are,
- 15:16because it will not only if you're already ripped like you and Monica and that
- 15:20picture, the before picture, and I thought to myself, they don't need
- 15:24to do this program. But then I saw the picture and I said,
- 15:28well, this is like going from good to best, right, that's exactly
- 15:31right. It's going from healthy to not healthy. Because that's the thing is
- 15:35like when you're super ripped, you're not healthy. I mean, I'm sorry,
- 15:39I mean you look great for a picture and a magazine, but your
- 15:41body is not, like you know, in the best place. And I
- 15:43only get this lean twice a year, and it's always around either a photography
- 15:50thing or a seminar that I'm going to, not a a seminar but like
- 15:54a retreat where I'm speaking and I'm going to be hanging out with people and
- 15:58competing and doing stuff. We're going to have our shirts off stuff. And
- 16:00so I just want to look and feel like Jay Campbell should look and feel.
- 16:03But I'll tell you another thing that's important probably about this, and it's
- 16:06good, you know, for your audience to know, is this is what
- 16:10you know somebody that works at SECA. So there's three different companies, right,
- 16:12there's Dexa inbody in SICCA, and they measure people's body compositions at medical
- 16:18or a medical seminars. And the truth is, Michelle, is that we
- 16:22are becoming such an outlayer meaning lean people that all of the math that they
- 16:29use, so the standard mean deviation in the you know, formulations that they
- 16:33get from the average person that does inbody SEKA and Dexa is obese. Yeah,
- 16:40so the levels are skewing higher and higher to accumulate the top and the
- 16:47bottom of the means. So when you're an avorant person like people like us
- 16:51who are lean, it's going to skew higher. Yeah, that's why I
- 16:55tell people that Dexa, all of these things right now are pretty much useless.
- 16:59The only way you're going to actually get an accurate body composition measurement right
- 17:03now is to do a bod pod, which is when they dunk you in
- 17:04the tank, or to have somebody who has intelligence, and there aren't a
- 17:08lot of those people left that knows how to actually do eleven site skinfold,
- 17:15you know, with a Scandex caliber one hundred dollars expensive caliber. Yeah.
- 17:18The caliber is how I did it a long time ago. And you can't
- 17:22even use the cheap calibers they sell on Amazon right now because they're plastic and
- 17:25they're shit. They're spring loaded, they don't even work correct. Yeah.
- 17:29I did it at Canyon Ranch or what was a Canyon Rancher, one of
- 17:33those you know, they had the caliber. Yeah, they had the scan
- 17:36dex it's one hundred dollars device. It's it's literally steel. It's made of
- 17:38surgical precise steel and it measures it to within like a precise millimeter. Yeah
- 17:45so, but that would be one that people should request if they have accessibility
- 17:48to that. That they have so they have next year at a form if
- 17:52you stay at the Venetian, they have on site at the gym, they
- 17:56do a bod pod right there on the site. I wanted to do it
- 18:00because I wanted to compare embody that they had like a five day waiting list.
- 18:03I was like, oh, I'm not going to be here. Oh
- 18:06wow, that's amazing. That's something to think about next year when you go
- 18:10back, or this year when you go back in December, is call the
- 18:12Venetians Physical whatever their gym is. I think it's Canyon Ranch, Yeah yeah,
- 18:18and and make an appointment with the exercise physiologist there. They charge forty
- 18:22bucks. It's worth it, and get a bod pod done. Okay,
- 18:26I'm going for I'm going to put that down and anybody who's listening, who's
- 18:30in the medical field, and it's going to be at a four m.
- 18:33That's a really good tip because most people do stay at the Venetian because that's
- 18:37where the convention is held. So good to know all that, Jay,
- 18:41thank you, thank you well. One thing that you know, I wanted
- 18:45to address because you didn't mention the semi blue tides and the gop one they
- 18:52you know these for most who don't know what those terms mean. These are
- 18:56the ozempic, the man jovi, the w goovi. These have revolutionized in
- 19:02the last couple of years, the whole weight loss industry, and to some
- 19:06people's despair, because let's face it, the food industry doesn't get as many
- 19:11people buying as much weight weight watches lost Oprah and also now they're embracing this
- 19:21because they recognized that they were losing customers because of the fact that they weren't
- 19:26endorsing uh. And of course, you know, hopefully diabetics the diabetes world,
- 19:33hopefully the obesity rate goes down so much. So let's just say,
- 19:37okay, these were meant for diabetics and and and they have become the darling
- 19:45of the weight loss of people who and we've seen the results be so dramatic
- 19:52with people like Oprah and others, so so tell us how that those people
- 19:59would fit in to your categories, because let's face it, muscle loss is
- 20:03one of the biggest side effects of taking those those drugs. So can you
- 20:10pigeonhole for people who are on those drugs or want to be on them,
- 20:15or are considering whether it's a good or a bad thing, Like you know,
- 20:21my doctor wouldn't let me. She just said, no, way,
- 20:23have too much good muscle and why would you want to play with that?
- 20:27And you don't, Okay, so I'm going to have to correct you.
- 20:30So the muscle loss is not an actual effect. It's an effect, yes,
- 20:36and it's noticeable, but it's only in people who don't know what they're
- 20:38doing. And if you take eighty percent of the physicians prescribing golp one agonists,
- 20:45that's that they don't know what they're doing. Okay. Now what I
- 20:48mean by that to clarify is, if you use a gop one agonist and
- 20:52you do it correctly within the context of health and longevity, you must increase
- 20:56your protein consumption, yes, and and you must do resistant slash bone bearing
- 21:03training against eighty percent of the physicians who prescribe these drugs for obese, metabolgically
- 21:10deranged, and insulin resistant people do not teach them to do those things right.
- 21:15So what happens and let's go through this is these people get on these
- 21:18drugs, as you said very accurately, they are profound, they are revolutionary
- 21:23agents. They shut down their appetite. Yes, these people stop eating and
- 21:30being fat, insulin resistant, metabolically deranged. They see the weight fall off
- 21:33and they get so excited. Yeah, they're like, oh my god,
- 21:38this is the greatest thing ever. And somebody smart like you or I will
- 21:41be like, okay, but are you eating enough protein where you're doing training?
- 21:45They are not doing either of those two things, but they don't care
- 21:47because they see the scale wave drop. But as you know, what goes
- 21:52up must come down. They're damaging their thyroid. Of course, their body
- 21:56is now going to catabolize muscle tissue because as you stop eating, what does
- 22:00the body do. The body literally goes and eats muscle to conserve and create
- 22:06energy. Right, So that's what's happening to these people. When all of
- 22:10this can be avoided, and that's what I write about in the book.
- 22:12We teach people how to use these agents within the context of getting super lean
- 22:18and not losing an ounce of muscle. Okay, so that's what we teach
- 22:23them. Okay, good to know this everybody if you buy this book,
- 22:29that this is going to teach you. Okay, I'm so glad to know
- 22:30this day. So all right, well let's go through that then. So
- 22:36let's just say somebody's on these drugs and they want to make sure they don't
- 22:40lose muscle, because first I thought, when they start losing the weight,
- 22:44they're robbing fat, right, I mean the glycogen, isn't that the first
- 22:51step? And then the second step is losing muscle or so, I mean
- 22:55it depends obviously on their nutritional strategy when they're doing the drugs. But for
- 22:57the average person who does wrong, who does this wrong and loses muscle,
- 23:02uh, they're just not eating. They don't have a nutritional strategy. These
- 23:04are people who are obese and metabolically deranged, who cannot control their appetite.
- 23:10They have a who knows what kind of stuff going on in their microbiome.
- 23:12They're they're they're dysbiotic, so they've got you know, pathogens and candida and
- 23:17yeast and god knows what growing down there. So these are people that are
- 23:19literally just non stop eating. So they start taking these drugs, it shuts
- 23:23down their appetite. They're not eating at all. So in a situation like
- 23:27that, the body is gonna first obviously tear through all the muscle glycogen,
- 23:30which they don't have much anyway, because most of them are untrained and don't
- 23:33exercise, and then the body is going to actually go for muscle at the
- 23:40same time that it's going to go for fat, and usually it's going to
- 23:42go through carbs are protein first because the fat is obviously a nine you know,
- 23:48milligram per molecule. So again from a units of exchange or energy,
- 23:52fat is let the least one, the last one to go. They're gonna
- 23:55it's gonna go to burn carbohydrates and protein first, and so that's what ends
- 23:59up happening is they start having their muscle catabolized. So the muscle, the
- 24:03active lean muscle tissue that these people have, which by the way, isn't
- 24:06much anyway because they're inactive, it's just instantly attacked, and then you know,
- 24:11the last thing to go is fat. Now, the other issue is
- 24:15a lot of these people stop eating completely. You know, well they'll literally
- 24:19just not eat, they'll forget to eat because they obviously the drug is so
- 24:22powerful, and they start having bone mineral density issues, they're thyroid malfunctions.
- 24:29They crash their thyroid, so then they become just a disaster, right like
- 24:33it literally is a just a they're a metabolic emergency because they've crashed their thyroid
- 24:40hormone. They've crashed their muscle tissue, the or their active muscle tissue,
- 24:44and now they're just a mess. And so you see these people, they'll
- 24:47lose sixty pounds and gain one hundred pounds back because when they come off the
- 24:52drug, they're so metabolically messed up that everything is going haywire. So it
- 24:57does not help them to create HomeOS stasis in the body because they are basically
- 25:03robbing Peter to pay pop exactly. Whereas if if if they were on you
- 25:10know, and this is you know, talking about the book, if they
- 25:11were working with a physician that had their hormones optimized, and you know,
- 25:15that's a big criterion that we have to bring in. When you're not hormonally
- 25:21optimized and you start these drugs, uh, you're already on a cycle of
- 25:26you know, a path of no return, because again, how can you
- 25:30if you know, knowing what we just talked about that guests they'll cause muscle
- 25:33tissue loss or they'll cause muscle tissue degradation. That's not going to happen if
- 25:38you're taking therapeutic to soscerone or estradiol or progesterone, right, because that's going
- 25:42to already put your body in a balanced, slash optimal environment to maintain muscle,
- 25:48to maintain metabolic active tissue. So that's not going to happen if somebody
- 25:52is hormonally optimized. And then to combine that, uh, you know,
- 25:56throw in a g h agonist peptide or even human growth hormone itself, and
- 26:02those things are going to work to offset you know, any potential active you
- 26:07know, protein tissue or metabolic skeletal mass that would be burned up from the
- 26:14GLP one. Okay, so tell everybody because you just mentioned them about these
- 26:21peptides and hormones. Well, first let's talk about the hormone the basic how
- 26:26do they test them? How do they find a doctor who will even ask
- 26:30them about their hormones? Because as you and I both know, most doctors
- 26:33don't even there. They just don't even think the hormones are your super highway
- 26:40of your body. But yet doctors don't test for your hormones. Now you
- 26:44and I you know, both know that these are probably the first test that
- 26:48you should ever take is how balanced are your hormones? So everybody who's listening,
- 26:52please make a note of this. When you go to your doctor,
- 26:56whether it's an allopathic or a functional integrative preventative medicine doctor, be sure to
- 27:03tell them you want your hormones tested. And that's usually the first step is
- 27:07a blood test. I mean, there are other means, but Jay,
- 27:11will you know you can address that, but the blood test will tell you,
- 27:17you know, the first first step. Okay, So those hormones are
- 27:21go ahead and list them, Jay. So so for men, it's testoscone
- 27:26and sensitive estradile or LCMS sensitive estradyl, And honestly, you really don't have
- 27:30to understand as much your estradyl as you do your free testoscerone and your total
- 27:34testoscerone. But with women it's free testosterone, total test oscerone, estradil,
- 27:40and of course progesterone. So those are the primary hormones that we really want
- 27:45to measure. There's other things, you know, there's obviously precursor pathways like
- 27:48bregninolone and SDHA and you know, different things. But for the most part
- 27:52for people that are watching this podcast or watching this video at whatever time they
- 27:56do. You got to get a baseline understand of what your hormones are doing.
- 28:00And you know, you don't have to necessarily go to your doctor or
- 28:03trust your doctor rely on your doctor. If you want to just get a
- 28:07baseline, you can go to like a private empty labs, of discounted labs
- 28:10and direct labs, any of those companies, and you can literally choose male
- 28:14or female adult hormone profile or pare so life Life Attention also has life Extension.
- 28:21There's so many different companies right now that will do this for you,
- 28:23and they're very, you know, relatively low cost. I literally just had
- 28:26my lab panels done this morning, right and I did it. I did
- 28:30like a not a complete diagnostic, because I did a complete diagnostic in early
- 28:34January of this year. But I went and looked at a couple of biomarkers
- 28:37that I'm looking at just because of the things I'm doing right now. And
- 28:41it cost me sixty nine dollars and I went to Quest, you know,
- 28:44and I printed it out. I didn't even print it out anymore now it
- 28:47just comes on your phone. And I did the whole thing in fifteen minutes.
- 28:49So all of that is obviously available to you. But that is the
- 28:52first step. Before using a golp one, before using a therapeutic peptide,
- 28:59before you using really anything, you have to understand whether or not you're functioning
- 29:03with a hormone deficiency. And Michelle, you know I just did a podcast
- 29:06before you, I would say, and again this is my personal opinion,
- 29:11but the environment is so contaminated at this point. If you live in a
- 29:15first world population center a city, the likelihood if you are over the age
- 29:21of thirty that you have hormone hormonal deficiencies is about eighty percent. That's how
- 29:26bad it is. But again, most people do not know this. Most
- 29:30people are not getting checked. They can't ask their general practitioner, or they're
- 29:34allopathic. I like how you call allopathic doctor, because they're not schooled in
- 29:40understanding hormone deficiencies. They're school in giving you drugs to treat symptoms. They're
- 29:45not looking for the underlying fundamental root cause of what it is that ails you.
- 29:48And ninety times, you know, nine times out of ten or eight
- 29:51times out of ten, it's a hormone deficiency. So but you didn't mention
- 29:55thyroid or DHA Are those not important? To add to it? Is critically
- 30:00important thyroid is you know? So again, if we're gonna look at like
- 30:03the whole overall picture, we have a triumvirate, right, we have the
- 30:07endocrine system, which is again tesosterhone, estrogen, progesterone or estradiol. We
- 30:11also have insulin, right, we have the pancreas, right, so how
- 30:15insulin resistant is someoney? How much visceral body fat? How much inflammation do
- 30:19they have? And then we of course have the thyroid, which is the
- 30:22master temperature gland or regulator. Right, So we have to understand like all
- 30:29three of those things, like how deficient or suboptimal am I in all three
- 30:33of those things to truly optimize your health. Yeah, and even your cortisol
- 30:37or your DHTA, which you know obviously that is connected to the cortisol levels
- 30:44too, so that it's it's a sex hormone, right, it's a dh
- 30:47all part of the endocrine system. But all that stuff is going to come
- 30:51if you're working obviously with a physician or you if you're not working with physician
- 30:55and you choose a male or female hormone panel, all that stuff will come
- 30:57with it with it. So when you went today, who did you use?
- 31:03Private empty lab? So I have a big corporate you know, global
- 31:07sponsorship with private MPT Labs and I you know, get like a twenty percent
- 31:10discount off and anyone can go there. And I've actually they've actually even created
- 31:14tests for me specifically. There's like a basic test, an advanced test,
- 31:18and an Elite test, you know, depending on what you want and you
- 31:21know where you are as a biohacker. I always tell people, if you're
- 31:25advanced, you have to choose either advanced or elite. And I actually reworked
- 31:29my elite test in November of last year, or to include a lot of
- 31:32particle uh and you know APO and like you know, really looking at a
- 31:37deep dive of lipids to understand like what your heart heart attack or your vascular
- 31:41system risks are as you get older. So it just depends, you know,
- 31:45I think they're they're constantly changing the prices, but I mean it's anywhere
- 31:48from like a three hundred dollars test to a fifteen hundred dollar test. Yeah,
- 31:52you know the at DA four M. There are so many ways to
- 31:57measure your heart. Let's just jump to the heart for a moment, because
- 32:00you brought it up. That are not your typical lipid approach, which is
- 32:06you know, we both know the cholesterol is always the darling of the allopathic
- 32:12or the pharmaceutical industry because they want to tell you on taking stats. If
- 32:22you just, you know, for a moment, don't think about taking a
- 32:24stat and just think about what is your ratio, and what is your size
- 32:30of your particles, and what is your arterial stiffness? So those three things
- 32:37are far more accurate to measure your heart's condition then whether your cholesterol is two
- 32:44hundred or two thirteen. And where people get sideways, they think this is
- 32:49the only measurement is what is my cholesterol. Everybody says that what is my
- 32:53cholesterol level? And if it's and the pharmaceutical industry has convinced us that if
- 32:58it's over two hundred, you need to take a statin, even kids they're
- 33:02doing that. I could make a very cogent argument, which I won't because
- 33:07I've written prolifically about statins on my website. But cholesterol is actually a meaningless
- 33:12number. You know, The things that you said are far more important you're
- 33:17you're inflammatory markers are far better guardians or you know, biomarker agents to understand,
- 33:24like what is your endothelial function levels? Like how sensitive are the tissues
- 33:30in your body based on your lifestyle? So I mean like you know homeocysteine
- 33:35levels see reactive protein trichlyss rides. You know your levels, your active levels
- 33:42of HDL, your active levels of l d L. You know, these
- 33:45things are far more important than this looking at your cholesterol number. And as
- 33:50as you know, there are a lot of people that genetically or indigenously have
- 33:54super high levels of cholesterol, but that's just from where they come from,
- 33:58and they have no you know, indicative corresponding markers of poor health. Look
- 34:04at level of a high level of cholesterol and think that it means anything.
- 34:08And you are also right too that two hundred is like the silly level of
- 34:13like all your over two hundred, we got to put you on a statin.
- 34:15It's insane. It's insane. Yeah. And also if people need to
- 34:19know that cholesterol is really important to the body, it's just that it has
- 34:22to be the right kind. So if you have two low density lipoproteins,
- 34:27that means you're cholesterol sticky and and your particles are too big and that could
- 34:31block your arteries. But if your HDL and high density lipoproteins are are high
- 34:38or or beneficial, let's say whatever. You know, that number I think
- 34:44is over sixty. That means that you're protective, so you might have That's
- 34:51why I said the ratio, because the ratio is really important of HDL to
- 34:54LDO and the other two homo systems. The other three you engine are also
- 35:00critical. So we've gotten off with from the weight lot from the fat loss.
- 35:05But you know what whether we're talking about is critical to fat loss because
- 35:10people who are obese tend to have more inflammation, more heart conditions, obviously
- 35:15diabetes, so all these things that you know, this is where people have
- 35:20to recognize the body is a miracle and it's but everything is interrelated, and
- 35:25so if one thing happens, like let's take the gut microbiome you mentioned that
- 35:29earlier. You know, most heavy obese people have just a terrible microbiome that's
- 35:36infecting everything, their brain, their energy, So all of this is interrelated.
- 35:42So this is really important to know that your body is a miracle.
- 35:45You need to honor it. It's like a temple. Your body is your
- 35:50temple, and you need to bow down at that temple and respect it because
- 35:54it doesn't make an amazing number of adjustments for you. However, if you
- 36:00mistreat it, it's going to rebel and you know it isn't fool proof.
- 36:06So so that's I think. I'm glad we kind of got off the subject.
- 36:10So let's go back to the book. Take us through. Let's just
- 36:15let's go to the advance instead of the beginner or the fully optized, only
- 36:20because I think more of our viewers because we are on Muscle and Fitness as
- 36:24one of the major sites that you know, our podcast is featured on,
- 36:30so we have a cohort that is going to tend to be more of the
- 36:35advance. So if you could just take that that category and just give us
- 36:38like one, to give us the steps and just tell us a little bit
- 36:43more than you know, if somebody hasn't read the book, like most of
- 36:47our people right now probably have not, but they're going to after this podcast,
- 36:52So take us through it, okay, using the Yeah, so advance
- 36:58is a person, you know, tech speaking or generally speaking, who's fasted
- 37:01before right like they had some experience about what intermittent fasting means. You know,
- 37:07they've probably have done a fourteen to sixteen hour fast window. Yeah,
- 37:09they've read a fast book, they've watched videos about people talking about fasting.
- 37:15So that's that's kind where you are. And then obviously you would also have
- 37:17experience with lifting weights, doing partiovascar exercise, and then somewhere along the line,
- 37:25you've also used supplements. You may not have experimented with peptides, but
- 37:30you definitely used supplements. Okay, So that's kind of what an advanced person
- 37:34is. And so what we'll do what an advanced person is. We're going
- 37:37to now tell you to say, Okay, you fasted for twelve to thirteen
- 37:40to fourteen to sixteen hours, and now we're going to have you fast from
- 37:45sixteen to eighteen and hopefully from eighteen to twenty. So we're going to extend
- 37:49the window of your fast by four hours. Now, the reason that we're
- 37:52extending the window of your fast is because that's when all the metaball I call
- 37:57it metabolic magic, but that's when all the metaball like cascades of autology and
- 38:00hormesis really truly take effect. And why that's important Michelle is when you have
- 38:07fasted for fourteen to sixteen hours for say years, your body has created a
- 38:15set point around the metabolic actions of not eating for fourteen to sixteen hours.
- 38:21When we look at the science of fasting and we really look deep into the
- 38:24metabolic cascades of autoplogy at hormesis, and I like to think of both of
- 38:29those things as a cellular fumigation. You will see that cytokines and fight or
- 38:36flight hormones will start showing up in blood work at about seventeen to nineteen hours
- 38:42without food in the microbiome. And we want we want that to happen because
- 38:49that activating fight or flight hormones nora effort and epidepic and there's a couple other
- 38:58ones eight. All of this inflammatory and again it's not an inflammatory in a
- 39:06bad way, but an inflammatory in a good way. And that you will
- 39:08literally mobilize stored, stubborn body fat because again, the fighter flight hormones are
- 39:14going to scavenge the areas that are the healthiest or i'm sorry, the least
- 39:20blood flow. So what happens is, excuse me, when you get a
- 39:24fast into seventeen eighteen nineteen twenty hours. At that mobilization of the fighter flight
- 39:30hormones, the body is going to attack the areas of your body that are
- 39:34very resistant to losing body fat. So if you're a man, it's usually
- 39:37in the belly or the belly button area. If you're a woman, that's
- 39:40usually in the gluten ham tie in or even in the lower back you know
- 39:44where women get like cottage cheese dimples in their thighs. At that right there
- 39:50is actually being mobilized because in most cases there's poor blood flow in those areas,
- 39:55and that's why those areas are very resistant to blood to fat loss.
- 39:59But when you constantly the fast for eighteen to twenty hours, you will turn
- 40:04on those pathways and you will activate again they're called A A two and B
- 40:08two receptors to mobilize blood flow again through the fight or fly hormone activation,
- 40:15which will then burn and mobilize free fatty acids or again visceral fat tissue that
- 40:20are in those areas. So when you do this type of extended fasting over
- 40:22time, you will lose a lot of body fat in very difficult resistant areas
- 40:28that previously, previously you were unable to lose fatron. Okay, that's step
- 40:34one then. Okay, So just to let people know, one of the
- 40:37ways to make this easier is to stop eating at about five o'clock, right,
- 40:45and don't eat again until the next day, Let's say eleven. Would
- 40:50that be enough time? Yeah, I mean, I mean, I mean
- 40:52I so to me, I don't think that's easy. I think I think
- 40:55the best way to look at it as most people can stop eating it's seven,
- 41:00seven thirty, yeah, and uh, you know, have their last
- 41:02meal of the day between six and seven, and then not eat again until
- 41:07one or two o'clock in the afternoon the next day. Now, if you
- 41:09really want to accelerate the fat loss, then you're not going to eat again
- 41:14till three or four the next day, and you're gonna go twenty one hours
- 41:16or longer as as you know from reading the book, or as you'll get
- 41:21to as you start reading through the book. You know, when it gets
- 41:22really deep into the esoteric, uh you know, awareness of fat loss,
- 41:28we start looking at the metabolic cascades that are created from twenty four to twenty
- 41:31six to even thirty hours of fasting. And you know, one thing that
- 41:37you know, people that don't know about this book, and so they can
- 41:38understand this because they're probably thinking, like, dude, how can this person
- 41:42be fit and maintain muscle and fast that long? All of the research and
- 41:45again I always quote Jason Fung, you know who's the author of the Obesity
- 41:50Code, and you know he's also written an amazing book on fasting. It's
- 41:52called Alternate Day Fasting. And very very little regard for that book, but
- 41:55it was literally published I think in twenty thirteen or fourteen. But he has
- 42:00access to studies that show. And this is for all the bros that watch
- 42:05your show, right because they all think that if you fast for a certain
- 42:07amount of time, you're going to catabolize muscle tissue and blah blah blah.
- 42:10But it's completely not true the studies that he has. We're an Olympic caliber
- 42:15track and field athletes, so and I know you know this, but for
- 42:19track athletes, there are some of the most heavily muscled type two fiber quick
- 42:22twitch people on the planet. Like they're freaks, Like genetically they look really
- 42:28beastly and they've done studies in those people where they went seventy one hours without
- 42:34any kind of protein degradation. So It's a myth to think that if you
- 42:38do not eat for twenty four to thirty six hours that you're going to break
- 42:43down muscle tissue. And this is by the way, for the biggest people.
- 42:45I don't care if you're a three hundred pound you know, striated bodybuilder,
- 42:50or you're just one hundred and fifty pound you know woman trying to lose
- 42:52twenty pounds, You're not going to lose muscle. The body is so super
- 42:58efficient and so always achieving and seeking homeostasis. It's not going to catabolize muscle
- 43:05tissue. That's what fight or flight is about. It will literally preserve muscle
- 43:07tissue up to in science, seventy one hours without food. So people that
- 43:14are worried about losing muscle tissue, you know who have muscle when, are
- 43:16afraid that they're going to lose muscle by fasting for twenty four hours. It's
- 43:20completely unfounded. There's no scientific evidence. It's pro science if you think otherwise.
- 43:24And so there's a lot of people that will really utilize this diet to
- 43:29go without eating on their fasting days. Now, something else to understand is,
- 43:36yes, we have caloric requirements, Yes we have you know minimum micros
- 43:39and macros and all that stuff. But if you're fat, Okay, when
- 43:44I say fat, I mean like you're twenty five percent or higher fat as
- 43:46a male or female, and you want to get down into the healthy ranges
- 43:51you know of say ten to fifteen for a man, in fifteen to twenty
- 43:54for a woman. It's okay to not eat, you know, two or
- 43:59three days a week if you want to lose fat the fastest way possible and
- 44:01obviously within the help within the context of health and longevity. So we structure
- 44:06this program so that on the days that you do eat, that's when you
- 44:10do your resistance training. When the days that you don't eat is when you
- 44:15do your fasting. So it basically is like you know, Jason Funk's Alternate
- 44:19Day Fasting book, it's basically an alternate day fasting program. So like,
- 44:22if you're going to like build this out, yeahay, you just said something
- 44:27that I wanted to stop you from homent. You said on the days that
- 44:30you're fasting. What happens that that's where I lost you. On the days
- 44:37that you're fasting and you're doing your cardiovascu or training, Okay, that's what
- 44:39you're yeah, you're not lifting on your fasting days. You're I mean,
- 44:44well you can and I can get to that. Again. There's a lot
- 44:46of different ways to hack this and to advance this SMROT protocol standpoint, But
- 44:51the basic gist of it is if you have a five day work week Monday,
- 44:54Wednesday, and Friday, or three days out of the week. It
- 44:58doesn't matter what your days are, but the purposes of this conversation, Monday,
- 45:00Wednesday, and Friday you're lifting and you're eating. Tuesdays and Thursdays you're
- 45:06fasting and you're doing cardio. Saturdays and Sundays are really dependent on your lifestyle
- 45:12and depending on how much body fat you want to lose. But most people
- 45:15in this protocol fast on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and then set their
- 45:22Sunday up so that they break their fast like in the late afternoon for a
- 45:24family get together, a barbecue, going out to a restaurant or whatever,
- 45:28and then they eat that way. But if you really start looking at this
- 45:30mathematically, if you fast three days a week at a minimum of twenty hours
- 45:38per day, you will tap again the biochemical cascades of on topogy and hormieces.
- 45:45You will stimulate blood flow to very resistant areas of your body that you
- 45:50know can't lose fat previous to that, and you will lose much more fat
- 45:54per unit of time than you were than you would if you were doing any
- 45:59other kind of die where you were just like you know, doing a caloric
- 46:01Uh what do you call it? A minimized caloric like a chloric reduction diet.
- 46:06Now, I know a lot of people out there will counter, you
- 46:07know, contradict me, and they'll say that's not true. It's always thermodynamics.
- 46:13It's calories in and calories out. And I you know, I constantly
- 46:15have this debate with people, it's not true when you're using GOLP one agonists
- 46:22because you're just if you're dealing with this, if you're fasting correctly with a
- 46:29GOLP one agonist, it makes it very easy to extend your fast window because
- 46:35of the appetite suppression, which in the past, before we had gop one
- 46:38agonists, it was just pure willpower and most people could not do it.
- 46:44Now, if you you know, also factor out the bro science that people
- 46:47have in their minds of like oh, dude, if I go, if
- 46:50I don't eat for twenty if I go twenty hours without food, I'm gonna
- 46:52lose muscle. That's complete bs, right, So like we know that from
- 46:58the science, and I know that because I've been, you know, doing
- 47:00this for fifteen years. I've been living a fastening lifestyle of fifteen years,
- 47:04and I've perfected this and obviously I've helped literally, probably through the Internet now
- 47:07hundreds of thousands of people lose weight on this type of diet. And again,
- 47:12you know, going back to your original question, or one of your
- 47:14questions, is like why did you write this book when you already had all
- 47:15this information out there? Because I wanted to teach people how to do this
- 47:21and make it simpler. I e. Thirty days by using GLP one agonists
- 47:24to doll their appetite and fast longer. You know, Jay, what I
- 47:30was fascinated by is looking at your cheat sheet, not the one with the
- 47:36pep gaz. That's another one. We'll talk about that one on our next
- 47:37podcast, because I want to want to I have it so that it's going
- 47:43to be flashed on our screen today so people know what they're going to get
- 47:46into the next time, whether it's on your podcast or mine. I really
- 47:51want to go through those because it's very very concise, and there it is
- 47:57right there, you can see it. So okay, so we'll just for
- 48:00people as a preview of coming attractions because we want to talk about how these
- 48:05peptides are changing the world, just like the g l P one agonis are.
- 48:10Okay, But what I wanted to say was I looked at your other
- 48:14cheat sheet, which is your weekly uh schedule, and I was amazed at
- 48:19two things. Well, one thing, mostly is that you don't take that
- 48:22many supplements considering who you are. And you know, I look at this
- 48:27Brian Johnson who takes one hundred pills a day. Crazy yeah, And it's
- 48:32obviously it's it's a real challenge to deliver, right, to to be beating
- 48:38all up. So okay, so how did you choose. Let's just let
- 48:43me just summarize for everybody. The supplements on this list are the big three,
- 48:47which you know, D, D three and K two together because they're
- 48:52there, there are twins and they need to be taken together. And that's
- 48:55something you can, you know, talk to me about at another time.
- 48:59I don't want to take the time today, but I think I've mentioned it
- 49:01on other podcasts. The other one is of course magnesium, which eighty percent
- 49:07of the population is defishent yeh. And then the third one was b complex,
- 49:15which you know, that's another one that a lot of people don't realize
- 49:17how important that is, particularly in our stressful world. But what you don't
- 49:22have in there was what I was more fascinated by, and I wondered how
- 49:25you chose, because like, you don't have fish oils as one, don't
- 49:30do not need fish oils if you get enough fish oil or from the perfect
- 49:36blend of six and nine through consumption of wildcott fish. Yeah, okay,
- 49:42all right, so you don't need the extra fish oils and that's I mean,
- 49:47you could, I mean, it depends on your lifestyle. But like
- 49:50you know, obviously this diet, it builds in the fact that you're going
- 49:52to be eating a lot of hopefully brass fed animal protein and wildcott fish.
- 49:58Some of you technically would need that. And then there's also the possibility that
- 50:01you would be supplementing with like Uru's oil, you know, or you know,
- 50:07MCT oil, or you know some sort of specific like olive oil,
- 50:09like a virgin olive oil where you do get that blend of you know,
- 50:14fish oils slash essential fatty acids that you would need to take fish oil supplementation
- 50:19in replacement. Now, I did notice you have nm N, which could
- 50:22tell people what that is and why that's so important. I mean, I
- 50:27mean it is, and it is, and I mean again it depends on
- 50:30like what you're using. But it stands for not a nickelonic acid. It
- 50:35can't even pronounce the word exactly. I say it so many times in my
- 50:37head, but but I mean it's you know, it's a supplement that it's
- 50:40proven to extend the life, optimize mitochondria. I mean, it does a
- 50:45lot of really really good things. I mean, you know, I take
- 50:47it now, actually in a different formulation I'm used. I use. The
- 50:52guys at Biostack Labs have it in one of their formulation supplements, and so
- 50:54I take it because it's mixed in with some other things. There's other stuff.
- 50:59I mean, supplements are relative obviously to your nutrition. So if you
- 51:05eat a clean, balanced diet, which is very difficult in today's date and
- 51:08age, as you know, because our environment and our food stuffs are so
- 51:12contaminated, you don't need as much supplementation as say you would have needed,
- 51:17or that you need now versus like what you would have used before when the
- 51:21environment was as contaminated. So it really just comes down to your individual preference
- 51:24and your individual lifestyle. But there's a lot of like, you know,
- 51:28there's a lot of things that people take that I don't take because I don't
- 51:31see, you know, a necessity relative to my consumption of food. Yeah,
- 51:37I think the first thing people are told, oh, take a multi
- 51:38vitamin, but yet multi vitamins it's actually a scam. If you drink,
- 51:44if you drink a quality protein replacement, you know, drink, whether it's
- 51:49you know, optim nutrition or you know whatever. I mean, all of
- 51:52those. There's a massive spectrum of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, cofactors
- 51:59that are in that, so you don't need that. The average person also
- 52:01takes tablet forms of supplements, which are instantly pissed out, you know,
- 52:07if they're not in a capsule. It's like, how is your body deaminating
- 52:10the supplement in the liver, you know, into portal circulation, Like there's
- 52:15so many things that the body is like excreting to get rid of and to
- 52:19grind that supplement you know, out of that you know, what do they
- 52:22call it? It's a buy an enteric tablet, you have to break it
- 52:25in to break it up like inside you know, first pass and also in
- 52:30the digestive tract. So a lot of people are taking stuff that they're not
- 52:32getting any active ingredient by the time it's broken down in their metabolism. Well
- 52:37what I do. You know, Let's say Quicksilver Scientific is a good company,
- 52:40and they all of their products are liquid. Most of them are liquid.
- 52:45They have some capital. But I find that if you take them sublingual
- 52:49liquid form, like with glutacione is a big one, and they have a
- 52:53vitamin C A liquid have dribos but they haven't been getting it. But that
- 53:00was a powder. But anything that's not a tablet is going to be far
- 53:05more absorbed, absorbed into the bloodstream, and particularly sublingual. It goes right
- 53:10to the blood. It doesn't have to go through the GI tract. And
- 53:14so that's why I tend to do those. But yeah, so, I
- 53:16mean I was curious because I didn't see Risvere Troll, you know, David
- 53:21Sinclair and his whole approach with NAD and Reserve Troll. You know, everybody
- 53:28was so hot on that, and I would have thought you would have had
- 53:31those in your program. And then well, like even some of the liver
- 53:37support like milk thistle and dandelion, you know, because most people of microbione
- 53:44is not well. I'm sure yours is, but a lot of people are
- 53:47not you know, not in good shape. So anyways, if you're using
- 53:52met Foreman, you don't mean to use any of those products. Met Foreman
- 53:55upregulates acerbancia better than anything other or on the planet. There's nothing that we
- 54:01could take all those things. Now, granted, if you're an alcoholic,
- 54:06it's probably good to take a libertytox supplement, right like, if you you
- 54:09know you're doing bad things to your body in exchange, then yeah, you
- 54:13take those. But obviously I'm not assuming that people are alcoholics, so I
- 54:15don't tell people to take libertytox supplements. And again, detoxing is like kind
- 54:22of an overrate. I mean, I think it's kind of a scam.
- 54:23I mean, your body is detoxing if you live clean, correct. If
- 54:29you don't live clean, then yes, some of those things maybe you know
- 54:32cofactors that you could probably benefit from. But again, I'm trying to do,
- 54:37not trying to do. I'm delivering the maximum for the minimum. You
- 54:42know, when people get in there, because as you know, Michelle,
- 54:43people get overwhelmed with all the nonsense they hear on social media about thinking it
- 54:46has taken that It's it's completely debilitating really because it's so confusing. It is,
- 54:58you know, probiotics, and I'm glad you because that's the new darling
- 55:01in the microbiome. You don't need any of that if you use met forman,
- 55:06and if and if you understand met forman. And again I've written the
- 55:08world's number one article ever in the history of the world on met form and
- 55:12it's cited on Pubman and Harvard. Y to you, there is nothing that
- 55:16met forman will not do for you. Do not believe the disinformation about mitochondrial
- 55:22dysregulation or m tour signaling or all this other nonsense. It's all been debunked.
- 55:28There's you know, the only thing that met forman when you use met
- 55:31form and you also must do incontinuity, is you must take a B vitamin.
- 55:36You must take a strong B vitamin because it does increase methylation. And
- 55:40obviously, when anything that increases methylation is going to increase the excretion of B
- 55:46vitamin folate you know, certain cofactors. So that's why I always tell people,
- 55:50like, if you're going to use met form and you have to use
- 55:52a very strong B vitamin supplement, and I recommend a spectrum. And that's
- 55:55why, you know, the cheapest best quality is Geral Labs. Right,
- 56:00there are other ones out there that are even better. You know, the
- 56:02guy that I met at a four M in December this year gave me one
- 56:06and now he sends me a Monica bottle every month and it's amazing. It's
- 56:09probably stronger. It costs eighty bucks. What what? What? What one
- 56:14is that? I forget the name of it. It's back in my medicine
- 56:15camp. I'll send it to you. Text me and I'll send it to
- 56:17you. I'd like to see it on which one because I take the BET
- 56:21but I take B complex and U injectable, so you know, I get
- 56:27it right into the bloodstream. But yeah, I mean it's really good that
- 56:30way too. But obviously, again, as you know, most people are
- 56:31too afraid to inject anything, so I recommend that. Yeah, I take
- 56:36B complex and B twelve separately as injections because the V twelve is methyl cobolin
- 56:40is very very difficult to absorb into the bloodstream if you're taking it as a
- 56:45pill. Well, Jake, run out of time. As always, before
- 56:49we it seems like before we start, we've ended. But I did flash
- 56:53your book up on the screen and it is on Amazon, as people should.
- 56:59Absolutely if you have nothing else to buy on Amazon these days, go
- 57:02for this book. And I was so engaged with it last night that it
- 57:07actually went beyond my bedtime. It has a very deep book. I mean,
- 57:12you know what, to be very honest with people, A lot of
- 57:14people struggle to read today because they're so you know, discombobulated from all the
- 57:19different attention distraction that's out there. But it is, you know, a
- 57:22four hundred and forty page book. And I think I told you this the
- 57:24last time. It was originally six hundred and thirty pages, and I just
- 57:29went crazy on my editorial team and I said, we need to take two
- 57:31hundred pages out because it's already going to be too long at four hundred.
- 57:35I mean, the average person today can't even read a hundred page book.
- 57:37Well, I know, eight years he wrote the Bible of six thirty with
- 57:42the distrata. Now you know, people's ADHD has has gotten so much first,
- 57:46so you were very smart to do that. But anyway, so people
- 57:50can buy it on Amazon, that's the probably the easiest if you want to
- 57:52buy it. Okay, So that means that we need to find a date
- 57:58again for your podcast and I would love to be part of your VIP mastermind.
- 58:05Is that something that a person can ask you about? And and yeah
- 58:09you can, but it costs a lot of money. Oh okay about that
- 58:15offline for sure? Okay, maybe maybe you need a media person on there.
- 58:22So all right, I'm actually it's funny you're saying there because we're actually
- 58:25in preparation for that. That's it's it's in Mexico. My I do it
- 58:30once a year, meet up with everybody who's in there, and we're doing
- 58:32it. It's in Plait o'carmen, and I read it out like literally probably
- 58:37the nicest house in Plaid o'carmen. It's right on the beach. I don't
- 58:38even know what it costs. It's probably twenty million dollar plus house. But
- 58:43it's five five days, four nights with like I mean, every bio hacking
- 58:49creature feature you can imagine, and then plus plant medicine ceremonies if you want
- 58:52them. You know, they'll be available to facilitate every morning, so it's
- 58:57it's going to be quite the spectacle. And of course I'm having a video,
- 59:00you know, a couple of a professional videographer team from the States come
- 59:05down there and video the whole thing. So it's going to be pretty amazing.
- 59:07So my wife and I are very excited about that. Well good,
- 59:09I think I saw that, and I think if anybody is interested as watching
- 59:13today can make contact. Is there a link they can actually, so like
- 59:17you can actually go on my side. I'll send you the link if you
- 59:21want to publish it when the video runs or whatever. But it's I forget
- 59:25the name. We're rebuilding that page right now, so it eventually it'll just
- 59:29be vip Mastermind Jay Campbell dot com forwards last vip Mastermind, But I'll send
- 59:32you the link to it and they can watch like the testimonials from last year,
- 59:36because I just this is the second year, so last year was like
- 59:39the first year of it. And then we'll be reopening it for version three,
- 59:45probably by July first, perhaps maybe as late as late as June,
- 59:51once we get the videography done from the end of May from this one and
- 59:53we get it all set up and ready to go. It'll be open.
- 59:55But anybody who follows me, you know, and by the way, for
- 1:00:00anyone who watches this podcast, you can go to Jcampbell dot com Forward Slash
- 1:00:04Free Books. You can get a free copy, free pdf copy of all
- 1:00:07my books with the exception of the one we talked about today, but you
- 1:00:09can get at the Peptides book two. You can get the first three chapters
- 1:00:14of both of those books. So again it's just jacampbell dot com Forward Slash
- 1:00:16Free Books and you can get a PDF copy of all the books. I'm
- 1:00:20glad you said that. As I told you last time, you have a
- 1:00:22Michelle recommends on my website, and we always like to when our guests are
- 1:00:27on, they always like to offer something that will incentivize take another step,
- 1:00:31Jay and please. People can follow me on my on social media of course
- 1:00:35too, and it's every social media channel Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
- 1:00:39Is J Campbell three three three And again for people with they don't know what
- 1:00:44that means is, it's the connection between master teachers and spirit and us as
- 1:00:47mind, body, soul. Yeah, and I just want to close by
- 1:00:51saying that the intro to your book is just so right on, it's so
- 1:00:54inspiring. It's all about it all about you the person. If you if
- 1:01:00you argue for your limitations, you're going to get them. So you're,
- 1:01:04you know, talking in a spiritual context at the beginning and yet putting it
- 1:01:08into a pragmatic approach with the facts and information in the book. So thank
- 1:01:15you for doing that. And as I just said, I love you Jay,
- 1:01:17I love you Michelle. Thank you for noticing that too. I appreciate
- 1:01:21that. I love how you said that context of pragmatic from spiritual, because
- 1:01:24it really is. I mean it's literally, if you don't love and trust
- 1:01:27yourself, you're never going to find yourself worthy of changing. And you know
- 1:01:30that, and I know that we all know. We don't all know that,
- 1:01:34but people need to know that that you do and looking internally and if
- 1:01:38you start thinking, oh, I'll never lose the weight or I'll never be
- 1:01:40able to go to the gym or whatever. If you start arguing for those
- 1:01:45points of view, guess what they now become you. So it's just the
- 1:01:50only looking for the positives. And Jay Campbell certainly helps you with that.
- 1:01:53So and I hope Michelle Hughes does too, because that's really my mission and
- 1:02:00the whole purpose of doing an Agelest and Timeless podcast is to encourage people to
- 1:02:05be the best version of themselves. I know that's a platitude, but it's
- 1:02:08true. It's amazing and you are for sure, and I love that because
- 1:02:13when Monica and I long pass now, but when Monica and I first got
- 1:02:16together and we started to write for the websites for fitness, we had a
- 1:02:21ball called Fabulously Fit over forty and that was our that was our tagline,
- 1:02:24be the best you ever? Yeah? Perfect? All right, Well,
- 1:02:30you have a wonderful rest of your week, and I'm going to be in
- 1:02:32touch with you. I want to get on your program, so I'm going
- 1:02:36to read the book first and then figuring out how to work with you if
- 1:02:39you don't mind helping me, Yeah, no, of course, and then
- 1:02:43I'll connect you or once once we talk, I'll connect you with Ish to
- 1:02:46get you on the podcast for the next version. Perfect. Okay, have
- 1:02:51a great day, Michelle. I'll talk to you soon. Right bye bye,
- 1:02:52Dave Right fis
