- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven ten.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Wr Hey, it's gonna be a summer day to day,
- 0:16Speaker 2: bright sunshine, eighty five degrees. It's gonna beautiful all week.
- 0:21Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to. I was the
- 0:22Speaker 2: Camp David cabinet meeting cancel. We'll get to that. We'll
- 0:26Speaker 2: get to President Trump's physical We'll get to the don
- 0:30Speaker 2: Junior wedding. Joe Biden is suing the Trump administration. We'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: get to that. We'll get to crazy Mom Donnie and
- 0:35Speaker 2: all of his latest schemes. We'll get to Colbert's latest
- 0:39Speaker 2: venture that just got announced, and well, a whole lot
- 0:43Speaker 2: more coming up today. So big cabinet meeting today, very
- 0:49Speaker 2: big important cabinet meeting today. I think this is the
- 0:52Speaker 2: twenty second cabinet meeting, and that's in two years. Joe
- 0:55Speaker 2: Biden had I think one and a half in four years,
- 1:00Speaker 2: which he basically was just sat there like a vegetable.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Twenty two cabinet meetings. But this one's important, This is
- 1:07Speaker 2: a big one. It was to be held at Camp David.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Now that's very unusual, very unusual. You know, it's a
- 1:15Speaker 2: logistical headache to get everybody to Camp David. President Trump
- 1:21Speaker 2: hates Camp David. They didn't hate it. It's not for him.
- 1:24Speaker 2: It's very beautiful. It's a beautiful, very elegant log cabin
- 1:29Speaker 2: but as you can imagine, Donald Trump not the log
- 1:33Speaker 2: cabin type. It's not his kind of setting. But the
- 1:37Speaker 2: last time they did a cabinet meeting there was last year. Now,
- 1:41Speaker 2: why was that cabinet meeting at Camp David. Well, it
- 1:45Speaker 2: was also very important and very top secret about Iran.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It was at that cabinet meeting that they decided on
- 1:54Speaker 2: the mission to blow up Iran's nuclear reactors. You remember,
- 1:58Speaker 2: that was quite a mission last year, kept totally secret.
- 2:03Speaker 2: All of a sudden it happened. It was decided at
- 2:05Speaker 2: that cabinet meeting, and then happened a day or two later.
- 2:09Speaker 2: So this was this cabinet meeting probably entails something like that,
- 2:15Speaker 2: some strong military something in Iran. Now, why move it
- 2:20Speaker 2: to Camp David. Surely the cabinet room as a total
- 2:25Speaker 2: privacy and security. Why can't you do it in there?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Well it does. It's very secure and it's very private
- 2:31Speaker 2: in the Cabinet room in the White House. However, when
- 2:34Speaker 2: the meeting's over, everybody has to leave and then walk
- 2:37Speaker 2: through the White House, which is filled with press, filled
- 2:41Speaker 2: with reporters, filled with all kinds of people, and that's
- 2:44Speaker 2: where a leak can happen. So that's the reason, if
- 2:47Speaker 2: it's really top secret, you move it to Camp David
- 2:50Speaker 2: because when they come out of there, they generally go
- 2:52Speaker 2: back to their office without there's no reporters at Camp David, nothing,
- 2:57Speaker 2: total privacy. So the cabinet member leaves, goes right back
- 3:01Speaker 2: to his office and has never seen a reporter the
- 3:03Speaker 2: whole way. So that's the reason you'd move it to
- 3:05Speaker 2: Camp David. Now why was it canceled today and switch
- 3:09Speaker 2: back to the White House. Well, they didn't want to
- 3:11Speaker 2: go back to the White House. But the problem is
- 3:13Speaker 2: the weather in Washington is brutal today, really really bad
- 3:17Speaker 2: rain and storms all day to day. So what that
- 3:21Speaker 2: meant was you couldn't get to Camp David by helicopter.
- 3:23Speaker 2: The visibility, the low ceiling, impossible to go with helicopters,
- 3:28Speaker 2: and that made it really, really really tough to get
- 3:31Speaker 2: everybody there. It would have had to been motorcades. And
- 3:35Speaker 2: President always goes to Camp David by helicopter if he
- 3:38Speaker 2: has to do a motor caid. They've had to do
- 3:39Speaker 2: it in the past, and the problem with these motorcades
- 3:43Speaker 2: it's a nightmare. And also you got to shut down
- 3:45Speaker 2: freeways and all kinds of roads. It totally screws up Washington.
- 3:49Speaker 2: So without being able to get it verdy there and
- 3:52Speaker 2: back by helicopter, they decided against Camp David. It's a
- 3:56Speaker 2: beautiful place, Camp David, but again it's not a Donald
- 4:00Speaker 2: Trump kind of place. It's rustic, it's a cabin, it's
- 4:03Speaker 2: in the woods. It was very important to a lot
- 4:06Speaker 2: of presidents because it's the only place a president can
- 4:09Speaker 2: have real total privacy. There's no Secret Service at Camp David.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Don't need him there. It's a military base. Actually it's
- 4:19Speaker 2: a military base. It's totally surrounded by Marines. Nobody can
- 4:24Speaker 2: get it in ro out, so once the president's in there,
- 4:26Speaker 2: the Secret Service can to leave them alone. Jimmy Carter
- 4:29Speaker 2: was going to close down Camp David. He thought it
- 4:32Speaker 2: was an unnecessary expense. He was trying to cut down government.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And he told Nixon, the outgoing president, and Nixon said
- 4:42Speaker 2: to him, don't get rid of Camp David. You're going
- 4:44Speaker 2: to really need it. If you need to be totally alone.
- 4:49Speaker 2: If you need to walk all by yourself without anybody
- 4:52Speaker 2: following you, without a detail behind you, if you want
- 4:55Speaker 2: to be totally alone, the only place you'll ever be
- 4:57Speaker 2: able to do that is Camp David, don't give it up.
- 5:00Speaker 2: It's going to be very important to you. And he
- 5:01Speaker 2: was right. Carter used it a lot. You know, when
- 5:04Speaker 2: you need to just go out in the woods all
- 5:06Speaker 2: by yourself, nobody within thousands of feet of you, and
- 5:09Speaker 2: just walk by yourself, it's important. But again, if you're
- 5:14Speaker 2: Donald Trump, that's the last thing you want. You always
- 5:16Speaker 2: want forty people talking to you at all times. It's
- 5:18Speaker 2: not his kind of place. So Cabinet meeting will be today.
- 5:22Speaker 2: This will be interesting. It most likely. If I had
- 5:25Speaker 2: a guess, the Iran negotiations are making very slow progress
- 5:30Speaker 2: and could be stalled at any point, so I would
- 5:33Speaker 2: guess that the next if things don't go well, it'll
- 5:36Speaker 2: be the next and final phase of the military operation,
- 5:39Speaker 2: which will be absolutely devastating and brutal and involve some
- 5:45Speaker 2: real serious things. I mean, just really totally once and
- 5:49Speaker 2: for all, ending the Ranian regime. So whatever that is,
- 5:52Speaker 2: or however serious it is, needs to be discussed with
- 5:55Speaker 2: the whole cabinet, and that's what he did with the
- 5:59Speaker 2: that effort to take out the nuclear reactors. So we'll
- 6:04Speaker 2: see the other news. President Trump had his physical yesterday.
- 6:08Speaker 2: The results that he released are that he is the
- 6:11Speaker 2: single most fit human being ever in the history of
- 6:15Speaker 2: the world. The fact, he said the doctors almost fainted
- 6:22Speaker 2: because they've never seen a physical specimen like his. Well,
- 6:27Speaker 2: it's his evaluation. Let's wait till the doctors put out
- 6:31Speaker 2: there's actually they say everything went fine, the actual details,
- 6:36Speaker 2: and you could say they're fudging is no. No, they put
- 6:38Speaker 2: out the actual lab reports, numbers, everything that's not out yet,
- 6:41Speaker 2: it'll be out in a day or two. At some
- 6:43Speaker 2: point this week, they'll release the actual numbers. It's a
- 6:46Speaker 2: three hour physical that he gets it. It's actually full
- 6:48Speaker 2: physical and a full dental exam. And the presidents do
- 6:52Speaker 2: it once a year, although President Trump's been doing it
- 6:54Speaker 2: once a month, I mean once every six months, twice
- 6:58Speaker 2: a year, which is a good idea. But he seems fine.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I mean, there's no problem at all. He does have
- 7:04Speaker 2: that the bruising all over the hands, but they say
- 7:07Speaker 2: that's from the aspirin. A lot of people take a
- 7:09Speaker 2: baby aspirin every day. It things your blood a little,
- 7:13Speaker 2: which you know helps your heart. Your blood is thinner,
- 7:16Speaker 2: you don't have to worry about blockage. So a lot
- 7:18Speaker 2: of people take a little baby aspirin every day. It's
- 7:21Speaker 2: eighty one milligrams. But you know, Donald Trump, whatever people do,
- 7:25Speaker 2: he's got to do it bigger. So he takes a
- 7:27Speaker 2: full aspen every day of a three hundred and twenty
- 7:29Speaker 2: five milligram aspen. It's too much aspirin. You're not supposed
- 7:32Speaker 2: to take that every day, but he said, if it's
- 7:34Speaker 2: the idea is thin blood, I want the thinnest blood ever.
- 7:36Speaker 2: So because it's too much aspirin every day, your hand
- 7:40Speaker 2: can get bruising and all that sort of stuff. Swelling
- 7:43Speaker 2: in his ankles. People have noticed that, but that comes
- 7:46Speaker 2: with age. That's just an old age thing. It's not
- 7:49Speaker 2: that serious. He wore compression socks to fix it, but
- 7:53Speaker 2: he said they're totally uncomfortable. What are compression socks. I
- 7:57Speaker 2: guess they compress. They kind of squeeze you down there.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He said, it just felt terrible. He couldn't stand them,
- 8:02Speaker 2: so they stopped stopped using. You'll notice he got slightly
- 8:05Speaker 2: bigger shoes. He got wider, bigger shoes. So and the
- 8:08Speaker 2: falling asleep, you know, the left likes to use that
- 8:11Speaker 2: all the time. He's falling asleep. He dozes off right
- 8:13Speaker 2: in the middle of me. That's absolutely nothing to worry about.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I know a lot of billionaires. They all fall asleep
- 8:20Speaker 2: at the table, all of them. You know why. They
- 8:24Speaker 2: never sleep at night. They're up all night working, well
- 8:26Speaker 2: everybody else sleeping for seven or eight hours. They sleep
- 8:30Speaker 2: for an hour. They get up there on the phone,
- 8:32Speaker 2: they're on the computer. You can text a billionaire three
- 8:33Speaker 2: in the morning. You'll get a response in a minute.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I mean, they're all they're up all night long. And
- 8:38Speaker 2: the result of that is they doze off during the
- 8:40Speaker 2: day here and there. It's no big deal. It's pretty
- 8:43Speaker 2: pretty common. So hey, the other thing with the president
- 8:47Speaker 2: and big victories. Yesterday, you know John Cornyn, who's a
- 8:52Speaker 2: major figure in Congress, he wanted him out. He wanted
- 8:57Speaker 2: Cornyn has been turning against Trump all the time. So
- 9:01Speaker 2: Trump went down there endorsed the opponent, Ken Paxton, who
- 9:05Speaker 2: got He won, but there was a runoff yesterday in
- 9:08Speaker 2: the Texas runoff, Paxton slaughtered Cornan showing the power of
- 9:13Speaker 2: a Trump endorsement, at least with Republicans. Paxton big victory.
- 9:16Speaker 3: When everyone in Washington told him to abandon me and
- 9:19Speaker 3: abandon the people of Texas, he didn't listen. Instead, he
- 9:23Speaker 3: gave his complete and total endorsement. President Trump is the
- 9:27Speaker 3: leader of our party, and his endorsement in this most
- 9:30Speaker 3: is the most powerful force in politics.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Well so now some will argue, well, that's not good.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Cornyn was the safer choice to win in the general.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Paxton's got you, previous comments, previous things in his love life,
- 9:44Speaker 2: his marriage, whatever. Well, but they'll be up against the
- 9:47Speaker 2: tall Rico who is just totally insane. Tall Rico a
- 9:51Speaker 2: left wing kook who thinks there's as.
- 9:54Speaker 4: He recognizes that there are maybe more than two biological sexis.
- 9:59Speaker 2: In fact, there are si.
- 10:00Speaker 5: God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between.
- 10:06Speaker 6: God is non binary.
- 10:09Speaker 5: I have met so many Hindus, Buddhists, seekh Jews, Muslims,
- 10:14Speaker 5: Atheist Agnostics who are more christ Like than some of
- 10:17Speaker 5: the Christians I serve with in the Texas legislature. Our
- 10:20Speaker 5: southern border should be like our front porch. There should
- 10:23Speaker 5: be a giant welcome mat out front and a lock
- 10:26Speaker 5: on the door.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so this guy should be pretty easy to beat.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Shouldn't be hard Corning, Now here's the problem. Corning is
- 10:35Speaker 2: a major figure in the Senate. He got wiped out
- 10:38Speaker 2: as Trump and Doors the opponent completely wiped him out.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But he still serves till January. That's a long time.
- 10:45Speaker 2: That's seven months. You still got this guy around. He
- 10:47Speaker 2: could really oppose Trump vote against him. So Trump put
- 10:50Speaker 2: out a very complimentary, gracious tweet, complimenting, here's Corning last night.
- 10:55Speaker 7: I've spent most of my time in the Senate building
- 11:00Speaker 7: the Republican Party in Texas and in the US Senate,
- 11:04Speaker 7: and I've always supported the Republican ticket, and I intend
- 11:08Speaker 7: to do so again in this general election.
- 11:11Speaker 2: All right. Not the most exciting guy in the world
- 11:13Speaker 2: is you can hear? Now here's the problem. In Texas.
- 11:15Speaker 2: You need a ton of money to run there. You know,
- 11:19Speaker 2: you got to spend a fortune when you want to advertise,
- 11:22Speaker 2: you got it. You do it in the major media markets.
- 11:24Speaker 2: You know, if you're running in Rhode Island, pretty easy.
- 11:27Speaker 2: You just buy a million ads in Providence, that's the
- 11:30Speaker 2: big media capital. Pretty simple, and you're done. Now, if
- 11:33Speaker 2: you're running in Texas, it's like twenty two major media markets,
- 11:36Speaker 2: So you got a blanket Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio.
- 11:40Speaker 2: All you have, like twenty markets you got to pay
- 11:42Speaker 2: for so it costs a fortune. That's why their elections
- 11:46Speaker 2: always turn out to be the biggest, highest spending elections anywhere.
- 11:51Speaker 2: So but Packsing right now it only has about three million.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But the money will come flowing in, flowing in the
- 11:58Speaker 2: Texas Old Bush Republican country club guid they're not going
- 12:01Speaker 2: to be too hot hot on Packson, but the money
- 12:03Speaker 2: he'll come in from Trump administration, they'll make sure he
- 12:06Speaker 2: gets it. So a Don Junior had the big wedding.
- 12:11Speaker 2: He married Bettina Anderson, who's not the most beloved woman
- 12:16Speaker 2: in Palm Beach's. They call her a Palm Beach socialite,
- 12:20Speaker 2: but if you go down to Palm Beach, most people
- 12:21Speaker 2: can't stand her. So they had the way. I don't
- 12:25Speaker 2: know why he married her, but he's marrying her, and
- 12:29Speaker 2: well he did marry her over the weekend. He's forty eight,
- 12:32Speaker 2: she's thirty nine. They got married on this very exclusive island,
- 12:37Speaker 2: Exuma Cays, a thirty eight acre ultra private island. It's
- 12:44Speaker 2: right off NASA. It's seventy miles from NASA. It's not
- 12:51Speaker 2: that exciting. I mean, I looked at all the pictures.
- 12:52Speaker 2: It looks in the middle of nowhere, all by yourself.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It looks like Killigan's Island with nicer houses. It has
- 12:58Speaker 2: been it is kind of picturesque. It's been used for
- 13:00Speaker 2: movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Casino Royale, Daniel Craig.
- 13:05Speaker 2: They filmed some scenes there. It was actually developed by
- 13:08Speaker 2: friends of Anderson, Big Palm Beach friends. So they got married.
- 13:12Speaker 2: There was only forty people and it was really just
- 13:14Speaker 2: the family. It was Don Junior's brother, sister, all their
- 13:21Speaker 2: kids right there. That's like forty people. Tiffany was there.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You'll notice there was no Donald Trump there. There was
- 13:28Speaker 2: no Milania there. I don't think they're too thrilled about
- 13:30Speaker 2: this marriage. It was not their first choice for a
- 13:33Speaker 2: wife for him. I think that's the reason they weren't there.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Now they'll say, well, due to the Warren Iran and well,
- 13:41Speaker 2: he could have easily just moved it up a few
- 13:44Speaker 2: weeks or ahead a few weeks. That wouldn't have been hard. Originally,
- 13:48Speaker 2: they wanted to get married in the White House. Again,
- 13:50Speaker 2: I don't think Donald Trump's too thrilled about Bettina. Anderson
- 13:53Speaker 2: did not want to give her that sort of an honor. So, hey,
- 13:58Speaker 2: we'll get to Stephen Gobert coming up. He's launched his
- 14:01Speaker 2: YouTube channel. You can make a lot of money on YouTube.
- 14:06Speaker 2: You can be very big on YouTube in many ways,
- 14:09Speaker 2: it's bigger than network television. But usually on YouTube it's
- 14:13Speaker 2: kind of a smaller operation. You might find out what
- 14:16Speaker 2: Colbert is like without literally twenty two writers writing for him.
- 14:19Speaker 2: He had twenty two writers on that monologue was twenty
- 14:25Speaker 2: two writers, you know the Gutveld. There's like one writer
- 14:31Speaker 2: and he's got triple the ratings of Coldbert. We'll see
- 14:37Speaker 2: what happens on this YouTube channel now. Originally CBS was
- 14:40Speaker 2: trying to block it, fight it, copyright infringement, disinfringe of that.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So they started doing that the first day, which was
- 14:48Speaker 2: I think Saturday, and then the internet got crazy at
- 14:50Speaker 2: CBS calling for boycott. So CBS dropped the copyright in front.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Let him do whatever he wants. Who's going to pay attention. Hey,
- 14:58Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to coming up. We'll
- 14:59Speaker 2: get to the governor's race. We'll get to crazy mom
- 15:02Speaker 2: Donnie his latest scheme. If a landlord is bad, they'll
- 15:07Speaker 2: seize the building. The government will seize the building. We'll
- 15:10Speaker 2: go over this scheme. It sounds very noble. If there's
- 15:13Speaker 2: a real neglected building slum with they'll take the building away.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Sounds kind of noble. They like they're coming to the rescue.
- 15:20Speaker 2: This is actually how communism starts. The government's seizing private property. Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 2: so we'll get to that. We'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 15:32Speaker 2: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Now more Marximo on seven tenor.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Hey, so let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two
- 15:48Speaker 2: one the zero seven ten is the number eight hundred
- 15:51Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Maddie
- 15:55Speaker 2: and the Bronx. Maddie, how you doing?
- 15:58Speaker 8: I'm fine? How are you?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Let me check?
- 16:00Speaker 2: Not bad?
- 16:02Speaker 9: Good?
- 16:03Speaker 8: Good?
- 16:04Speaker 9: Mark.
- 16:04Speaker 8: I'm curious about the protests that went on at Gracie
- 16:10Speaker 8: Mansion last night. I wanted to know what the turnout was,
- 16:14Speaker 8: but I also want to know why I can't find
- 16:17Speaker 8: out about it at all. Isn't it considered newsworthy.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Oh you can find it. It's in the New York
- 16:22Speaker 2: Post today.
- 16:24Speaker 8: Oh well, I'm talking about on radio stations. I just
- 16:27Speaker 8: got up a little while ago. I mean, I haven't.
- 16:29Speaker 2: It's our kind of woman gets up at ten o'clock
- 16:31Speaker 2: in the morning. Perfect.
- 16:32Speaker 8: Oh no, it wasn't ten. It was earlier than that.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Okay, nine anyway. Thanks. It was about four hundred people
- 16:39Speaker 2: turned out. They look like very peaceful. Now they were
- 16:42Speaker 2: Israeli flags. There was a get rid of Mom Donnie's signs.
- 16:45Speaker 2: But it was peaceful, it was orderly, and it was
- 16:48Speaker 2: very nice. It was a protest against mom Donnie for
- 16:50Speaker 2: his anti Semitism, anti Israel nonsense, spreading all that hate
- 16:54Speaker 2: and lies and stuff.
- 16:56Speaker 8: And any counter protest.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Yeah, believe it or not. They tried to organize a
- 17:01Speaker 2: we love Mom Donnie counter protest. It was across the street.
- 17:05Speaker 2: It was about twelve people, mostly staff. Thanks for calling. Yeah,
- 17:10Speaker 2: it was not a big not a big protest, but
- 17:15Speaker 2: it got the point across. You're right, it should get
- 17:17Speaker 2: more coverage, should be more media there. But you can
- 17:21Speaker 2: if you go in the New York Post article, you'll
- 17:22Speaker 2: see they have pictures of the protesters there. So but
- 17:25Speaker 2: they were orderly and they were nice people. Let's go
- 17:28Speaker 2: to Rob in Long Island. Rob. How you doing, Hey?
- 17:32Speaker 9: Mark?
- 17:32Speaker 10: How you doing?
- 17:34Speaker 9: So?
- 17:34Speaker 11: Educate me a little bit here. So isn't New York
- 17:37Speaker 11: City Housing Authority.
- 17:39Speaker 12: Like the or landlord in New York City?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yes?
- 17:43Speaker 11: So if Mandami is going to be, you know, taking
- 17:46Speaker 11: assuming these properties, how's that going to work?
- 17:48Speaker 2: It's not, it's not. But that's why it's Mom, Donnie,
- 17:51Speaker 2: it's mom, Donnie. You remember, Democrats don't believe in science.
- 17:54Speaker 2: They never follow the science. When it comes to the economy,
- 17:57Speaker 2: they don't follow the science. When it comes to how
- 18:00Speaker 2: to run housing, there's a science and how to do it,
- 18:02Speaker 2: they don't follow it. Knitscha, The New York City Housing
- 18:05Speaker 2: Authority worst landlords in the world. You brought up a
- 18:08Speaker 2: great point. They're totally horrible.
- 18:10Speaker 11: Forget it and forget about the NGOs. Isn't this like
- 18:14Speaker 11: you know, the biggest fraud that we're finding everywhere in
- 18:17Speaker 11: the United States is the engine.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all we put a ton of money. We
- 18:21Speaker 2: put so much money into knightscha should look like the
- 18:23Speaker 2: taj Mahal. But it's all wasted. Bloat, fraud, kickbacks, corruption,
- 18:28Speaker 2: it's just awful. So, mom, Donnie's idea of if the
- 18:32Speaker 2: landlord's bad way will take over, Well, you have a
- 18:35Speaker 2: history are you being and the government of being the
- 18:37Speaker 2: absolute worst landlords of all? And here he is talking
- 18:42Speaker 2: about this Knights stuff, the New York City housing horrible.
- 18:45Speaker 13: We cannot afford to wait any longer. This five point
- 18:49Speaker 13: six billion dollar capital commitment is a significant investment that
- 18:53Speaker 13: will both unlock the kinds of conditions that too many
- 18:57Speaker 13: Nitscha residents have been denied, and also serves as an
- 19:01Speaker 13: invitation to every other party to start to come to
- 19:05Speaker 13: the table to deliver on these kinds of investments for Nischa.
- 19:10Speaker 2: So six billion, five point six billion, that's like six
- 19:14Speaker 2: billion dollars, you know, Ken Griffin spending six billion on
- 19:17Speaker 2: a building. It's at Park Avenue and fifty second Street.
- 19:20Speaker 2: It's like a block long. It's a hundred story skyscraper,
- 19:25Speaker 2: absolute state of the arts, super luxury. That's what you
- 19:28Speaker 2: get for six billion when the private sector spends it.
- 19:31Speaker 2: When you spend it with the government, you get Nitscha housing,
- 19:34Speaker 2: which is totally decrepit, totally awful. And he just told you.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Remember he says right there, this Nightscha housing is awful.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It's horrible, it's substandard. Well, who do you blame for that?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Blame the Democrats. They've been in power for twelve years.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Democrats have controlled everything city hall, city council, state legislature,
- 19:55Speaker 2: and governor's office. It's all been Democrats for twelve years.
- 19:58Speaker 2: So everything stinks, so obviously their fault. Let's go to
- 20:02Speaker 2: Blouvelt in Florida. Blouvelt, how you doing.
- 20:06Speaker 14: Good morning, Mark Simon, How are you okay? Did you
- 20:12Speaker 14: get your fill of hot dogs on your long weekend
- 20:14Speaker 14: trip away?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Did I get my what.
- 20:17Speaker 14: Phill of hot dogs?
- 20:19Speaker 12: Oh?
- 20:20Speaker 2: No, I didn't have anything.
- 20:21Speaker 9: You have a hot dog, guy.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I love hot dogs. I tried to eat them very
- 20:25Speaker 2: rarely and the only time I like. The best hot
- 20:27Speaker 2: dogs in the world are Costco. That's still the best
- 20:29Speaker 2: hot dog on earth. Another reason is that fun. They
- 20:33Speaker 2: make the best hot dog fun Costco hot sausages.
- 20:39Speaker 14: When I was making hot dogs and sausages back in Jersey,
- 20:43Speaker 14: we always built up a big, big inventory going to
- 20:46Speaker 14: Memorial Day weekend. And I can tell you every Memorial
- 20:50Speaker 14: Day that I can remember always rains.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. We have a history of bad weather.
- 20:55Speaker 2: On Memorial Days. But Costco the best hot dog will
- 20:57Speaker 2: give an honorable mention to Walters in Mamarnick Walters has
- 21:03Speaker 2: been there like one hundred and twenty years. It's like
- 21:04Speaker 2: the Peter Lugers of hot dogs. What else Johnny and
- 21:09Speaker 2: Hages and fair Laune. Oh. Also in Fort Lee, what's
- 21:12Speaker 2: the famous one? They're high rooms. Hire rooms is legendary
- 21:15Speaker 2: for those hot dogs. Bridgeport. You got super duper WEENI
- 21:19Speaker 2: you got see, I know my hot dogs. Let's go
- 21:22Speaker 2: to Maria in Manhattan. Maria, how you doing?
- 21:27Speaker 3: It's just fine, thank you very much.
- 21:29Speaker 9: Quick question.
- 21:30Speaker 6: If the city's going to take over badly run buildings,
- 21:33Speaker 6: who's going to take over Nischa?
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well that's the problem. And you know, if you look
- 21:38Speaker 2: back at who they've sent in there to run Nicha,
- 21:40Speaker 2: some top people, really good people. But it's a mess.
- 21:42Speaker 2: It's just a bloated, awful bureaucracy. They get absolutely nothing done.
- 21:49Speaker 2: They don't know how to run anything. They can't even
- 21:51Speaker 2: fix potholes. I mean, you can't fill a pothole. How
- 21:54Speaker 2: are you going to run housing? Hey? Speaking of that,
- 21:57Speaker 2: that's sinkhole in Long Island. There may be another explanation
- 22:02Speaker 2: for that. We'll get to it coming up. You know,
- 22:03Speaker 2: we were talking last week or so, but there's infrastructure
- 22:07Speaker 2: under highways, pipes and everything, and when they're really old
- 22:10Speaker 2: and they rust and joints break, you know, it can
- 22:14Speaker 2: flood and that causes the sink of Well, it may
- 22:17Speaker 2: not be that. It may there was apparently construction going
- 22:19Speaker 2: on in the area. Well, we'll get to We'll get
- 22:22Speaker 2: to it in the next hour. Coming up. Next, we'll
- 22:24Speaker 2: talk to the great Howie Car, one of the great
- 22:26Speaker 2: talk show hosts in the world. We'll do that next
- 22:30Speaker 2: on seven ten WR seven ten WRS. Mark Simon, Well,
- 22:37Speaker 2: one of the great talk show hosts in the world.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I love listening to Howie Car. You can hear him
- 22:41Speaker 2: on iHeart. You can get the show, you can get
- 22:43Speaker 2: the podcast iHeart. You can also get his best selling books,
- 22:47Speaker 2: the latest mass Corruption. You get his books everything at
- 22:51Speaker 2: HOWI caarshow dot com, Howie carsshow dot com. Even easier,
- 22:56Speaker 2: just go on Amazon and type in how He Car.
- 22:58Speaker 2: You'll love his books. How He Car? Are how you doing.
- 23:02Speaker 6: Very good again? I feel like I'm in groundhog Day
- 23:04Speaker 6: with these Iran negotiations, you know, I mean, I've just
- 23:08Speaker 6: looked at the Fox. The Fox headline all morning US
- 23:12Speaker 6: Iran talks reach critical Phase. I think I think that's
- 23:17Speaker 6: called the standing headline in newspapers. You don't, don't break
- 23:23Speaker 6: up the old the old hot type, just run the
- 23:26Speaker 6: same headline every day, Reach critical phase. Well followed by Trump.
- 23:32Speaker 6: Iranians have five to seven days the deal, reach Deal.
- 23:37Speaker 6: I mean, it just keeps going on and on. When's
- 23:39Speaker 6: it gonna end?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Well? Look at Trump, the Great, the master negotiators, spent
- 23:43Speaker 2: his whole life negotiating with the toughest unions, contractors, mobsters,
- 23:48Speaker 2: and he's never come up against lunatics like this. What
- 23:51Speaker 2: are you do in a case like this?
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, I was just talking with someone else
- 23:55Speaker 6: about that. I mean, this is I mean, you know,
- 23:57Speaker 6: in the past, he always knew he was dealing with,
- 23:59Speaker 6: you know, Fat Tony or you know or or you
- 24:03Speaker 6: know what I mean, somebody like that, somebody that you know,
- 24:06Speaker 6: he knew, he knew who the capo was. You don't
- 24:09Speaker 6: even know who the the capo. The capo's dead, you know,
- 24:12Speaker 6: I think in all likelihood, and then they're just you know,
- 24:15Speaker 6: operating in his name, and I don't. It's a it's a.
- 24:18Speaker 6: It's a tough point, you know, it's but you know,
- 24:20Speaker 6: on the on the other hand, have you looked at
- 24:22Speaker 6: the Texas the map of the Texas counties to see
- 24:25Speaker 6: how it went last night?
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just did how many.
- 24:29Speaker 6: Counties there are in Texas? Two hundred and fifty four?
- 24:32Speaker 2: Wow?
- 24:32Speaker 6: Do you know how many John Cornyon carried?
- 24:35Speaker 2: No.
- 24:36Speaker 6: Two he carried. He carried Travis County in UH which
- 24:42Speaker 6: is uh which is Austin. And he carried some county
- 24:46Speaker 6: I had never heard of down on the Gulf Coast,
- 24:47Speaker 6: Kennedy Kate with one end Kennedy County.
- 24:51Speaker 10: There were.
- 24:53Speaker 6: There's nobody in Kennedy County. Corner won the vote in
- 24:57Speaker 6: Kennedy County six votes to two votes for facts. Then
- 25:03Speaker 6: those were the two out of two hundred and fifty
- 25:05Speaker 6: four counties. I mean, that's what you call a crushing defeat.
- 25:08Speaker 6: After eighteen years in the US Senate.
- 25:11Speaker 2: You know, Donald Trump is in his second term, heading
- 25:14Speaker 2: into the second half of the second term. Usually you're
- 25:15Speaker 2: a total lame duck, you're totally useless by that. But
- 25:19Speaker 2: he's stronger in the second term than in the first.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It's it's pretty amazing, isn't it.
- 25:24Speaker 6: Yeah, it is. You know, I think part of it
- 25:27Speaker 6: is his his enemies, you know, I mean, the the
- 25:30Speaker 6: Republicans are factless. You know, he's getting rid of them.
- 25:33Speaker 6: The Democrats are being eliminated. You know, Durban's on his
- 25:37Speaker 6: way out. Schumer is going to if if AOC runs
- 25:40Speaker 6: for president, I guess it'll be up to Mumdani to
- 25:42Speaker 6: knock him out. But you know, they're all they're just
- 25:47Speaker 6: He's fortunate in the enemies that he's drawn, isn't he.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, these Democrats with the with the crazy Trump arrangements,
- 25:58Speaker 2: don't they realize they're kind of helping more than hurting.
- 26:00Speaker 2: When are they going to regroup and figure out a
- 26:01Speaker 2: better strategy?
- 26:03Speaker 6: Yeah? How about how about this? How about Al Green?
- 26:06Speaker 6: There was another loss last night. Al Green, the guy
- 26:09Speaker 6: with the cane was yelling at him at the State
- 26:11Speaker 6: of the Union. You know, apparently they you know, they
- 26:13Speaker 6: redistrict did everything in Texas, and he moved into a
- 26:16Speaker 6: new district and he got crushed by some guy who's
- 26:19Speaker 6: like old enough to be young enough to be his grandson.
- 26:22Speaker 6: And I was thinking, you know, al forgot his great
- 26:25Speaker 6: hit from the nineteen seventies. Why can't why don't we
- 26:28Speaker 6: stay together?
- 26:29Speaker 2: Bad thing? I love the other Algreen, the singing a green.
- 26:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that's I think that's probably one reason
- 26:40Speaker 6: why the the Algreen with the cane one initially one
- 26:46Speaker 6: in Houston.
- 26:47Speaker 2: You know, that's a good theory. I like that. So,
- 26:53Speaker 2: uh hey, Barney Frank passed away. Yes, way back then
- 26:58Speaker 2: he was considered an ex dream, total left wing kookie left.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Now he's like a moderate in the Democratic Party. What happened?
- 27:05Speaker 6: Yeah, No, I was thinking about that, you know. He
- 27:08Speaker 6: you know, he wrote he's got this book coming out
- 27:10Speaker 6: posthumously saying, you know, the Democrats have gone too far.
- 27:13Speaker 6: And you know, the governor of Massachusetts is a lesbian now,
- 27:17Speaker 6: you know, from Maryland, and uh, you know she last
- 27:21Speaker 6: week she tried to put somebody on the parole board
- 27:23Speaker 6: to they're letting her. They're they're just rubber stamping out
- 27:26Speaker 6: these murderers, one after another on the parole board. It
- 27:29Speaker 6: was too much for her. She's running for reelection and
- 27:31Speaker 6: the Governor's Council, which you know, approves the parole board,
- 27:34Speaker 6: they refused to put a prosecutor on the parole board,
- 27:38Speaker 6: and she she had to come out and say, hey,
- 27:40Speaker 6: it's gone too far. And then you had Tammy Duckworth
- 27:43Speaker 6: in Illinois. You know when the on Memorial Day, when
- 27:47Speaker 6: the when the Democrat National Committee put out the the
- 27:50Speaker 6: tweets saying saying, would like to thank all the people
- 27:53Speaker 6: who died in Trump's unnecessary war in irene In. I mean,
- 27:57Speaker 6: just these people are out. I mean, when you've got
- 28:00Speaker 6: Barney Frank, Mara Healey and Tammy Duckworth saying I think
- 28:04Speaker 6: you guys have gone too far. I think it's pretty
- 28:07Speaker 6: clear you know that they have gone too far, isn't it.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, So at some point the cycle changes. You turn
- 28:15Speaker 2: a corner. Are we starting to turn that corner? Is
- 28:17Speaker 2: this the beginning and the end of that craziness?
- 28:19Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know. I'm just looking at
- 28:24Speaker 6: the headline in the New York Post today, ma'am, Donnie
- 28:26Speaker 6: wants to seize apartments from landlords give them to nonprofits.
- 28:32Speaker 6: I mean, couldn't you make the argument that the New
- 28:34Speaker 6: York Housing Authority is a nonprofit and they're the biggest
- 28:37Speaker 6: slumlord in the city just like every other city, aren't they.
- 28:41Speaker 6: I mean, this is insanity, isn't it. I mean, he
- 28:44Speaker 6: hasn't learned. He isn't you know, I mean to forget
- 28:47Speaker 6: you know, Barney and Mara and Tammy. I mean, he's
- 28:52Speaker 6: not taking his foot off the gas pedal.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Is it really? Is it insanity or is this a
- 28:58Speaker 2: communist the way of thinking that let's the start here,
- 29:01Speaker 2: governments seizing private property and taking control of it at
- 29:05Speaker 2: the beginning of something for him. I think.
- 29:09Speaker 6: You know he did. You see, the Supreme Court just
- 29:11Speaker 6: last week ruled this this American company that owned the
- 29:15Speaker 6: docks in Havana. They've been trying to get him. They've
- 29:18Speaker 6: been trying to get some kind of ruling against the
- 29:20Speaker 6: communists in Cube but the Castros for seventy years for
- 29:23Speaker 6: seizing the docks, and finally the Supreme Court said, yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 6: you've got to you've got a case. You can get
- 29:28Speaker 6: the money back from the commedis. I mean, there's he
- 29:31Speaker 6: he ought he ought to start reading some of these
- 29:32Speaker 6: Supreme Court rulings. I mean it, you know, eventually it
- 29:37Speaker 6: does go back the other way. And you know, it
- 29:39Speaker 6: doesn't go back the other way because communism succeeds. It
- 29:42Speaker 6: goes back the other way because finally everything is in
- 29:46Speaker 6: ruins and and you have to you have to go
- 29:49Speaker 6: in a different direction. And that's apparently this is what
- 29:52Speaker 6: Mamdani wants to do. He wants to just take down everything.
- 29:57Speaker 6: It's good, it's and he's going to end up. You know,
- 29:59Speaker 6: they's going to be the same thing with the Havana docks,
- 30:02Speaker 6: seizing apartments. The government is going to take over the
- 30:07Speaker 6: housing to make it better. Yeah, and has he ever
- 30:11Speaker 6: been to a public housing project?
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Well, you know, Democrats don't follow science. They don't
- 30:16Speaker 2: follow this the science of running an economy. We know
- 30:18Speaker 2: what works, we know it doesn't work. We've tested socialism
- 30:22Speaker 2: ten thousand times always, but they don't care about the science.
- 30:25Speaker 2: They'll keep doing it. So, hey, we got you're the
- 30:29Speaker 2: Kennedy expert of the world. We have this crazy Kennedy kid,
- 30:34Speaker 2: son of Caroline Kennedy, Jack Schlosberg.
- 30:36Speaker 6: He's behind though, he's behind in the polls though. I
- 30:38Speaker 6: saw that. That's good news.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oh good, yeah, because he's running for Congress here.
- 30:43Speaker 6: Well, he's got like eleven percent, right, he's like running
- 30:45Speaker 6: third or fourth.
- 30:46Speaker 12: That's good.
- 30:47Speaker 6: I'm glad. Maybe maybe New York is so bringing up yeah, well.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Or maybe he's just really but have you have you
- 30:53Speaker 2: gotten to listen to him, he's the dumbest, weirdest. Uh.
- 30:57Speaker 2: But what is it with these Kennedys one, I don't know.
- 31:01Speaker 6: I mean, he's he's he's really, he's a he's a
- 31:04Speaker 6: real not Yeah, I mean, and some of them they
- 31:07Speaker 6: can blame it on the booze. But I don't think.
- 31:09Speaker 6: I don't think. I don't think he's got an alcohol problem.
- 31:11Speaker 6: He's just insane.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's uh. I was never a Caroline fan.
- 31:16Speaker 2: And you know her husband, Ed Schlosburgh. Really yeah, very
- 31:21Speaker 2: bad vibe coming off that guy. So, uh, this is
- 31:25Speaker 2: the result of those two. But hey, Howie Carr, great
- 31:28Speaker 2: stuff his books. Get his books, and get Kennedy Babylon,
- 31:32Speaker 2: get the Whitey Bulger book. But tell us about your
- 31:34Speaker 2: latest book, mass Corruption.
- 31:37Speaker 6: Mass Corruption. It's just it's about the the It's it's
- 31:40Speaker 6: a terrible case. There's corruption is out of control here
- 31:43Speaker 6: in Massachusetts and it continues to be. I centered it
- 31:46Speaker 6: on the trial Double Jeopardy murder trials of an innocent
- 31:50Speaker 6: woman and in the suburban Boston Karen Reid. But it's
- 31:55Speaker 6: it's it's just there's so much stuff out there, and
- 31:57Speaker 6: I've got I've got new books on the way I'm
- 32:00Speaker 6: gonna I'm gonna have a collection of my columns and
- 32:02Speaker 6: I'm trying to get some more stuff on Whitey Bulger
- 32:04Speaker 6: his last his last statement, one hundred and forty pages
- 32:07Speaker 6: of handwritten notes. We're trying to get them. Yeah, it's
- 32:11Speaker 6: it's I mean, it's you know, he's just trying to
- 32:13Speaker 6: settle all scores and all that kind of stuff. But
- 32:15Speaker 6: I think it'd be pretty interesting. I'm just trying to
- 32:17Speaker 6: get it unsealed from the federal courts right now.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 32:20Speaker 6: And I'll have a new book out pretty soon. So

- 33:31Speaker 2: Let me see. Oh yeah, actually we do. Bruce Blakeman'll
- 33:33Speaker 2: be here, the next governor of New York. Lots to
- 33:37Speaker 2: talk to him about. Also, if you're worried about that
- 33:39Speaker 2: sinkhole on the lie, we'll get to what caused that.
- 33:41Speaker 2: It's not as bad as we thought. Also, we'll get to, Hey,
- 33:45Speaker 2: Joe Biden suing the Trump administration over something that could really,
- 33:51Speaker 2: really really make him look bad. We'll get to that
- 33:54Speaker 2: coming up, and we'll get to the latest on Iran.
- 33:57Speaker 2: We'll get to the supermarket ski of Mom Donnie. It
- 34:01Speaker 2: turns out you remember that thirty million more like fifty
- 34:04Speaker 2: five million. Normal cost of a supermarket two million. It's
- 34:09Speaker 2: a great example of government waste and fraud. Anyway, back
- 34:13Speaker 2: after the news, Marks Simone here on seven to ten, wo.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Mark Simone on sevent tenor.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Well, it's gonna be a beautiful day to day. Well,
- 34:28Speaker 2: if you like a real hot summer day, it's going
- 34:30Speaker 2: to be a beautiful day. It's gonna be hot anyway.
- 34:32Speaker 2: I let you get near ninety today, really hot, and
- 34:35Speaker 2: then the rest of the week and the weekend lots
- 34:37Speaker 2: of sunshine's going to be really nice. Make up for
- 34:39Speaker 2: last weekend. Little little rain maybe in a couple areas tonight,
- 34:44Speaker 2: maybe late Friday night. But that's about it. So you
- 34:49Speaker 2: know this Ice detention center in New Jersey, Democrats now
- 34:54Speaker 2: trying to make it, to weaponize it and make it
- 34:56Speaker 2: a big political issue. You know, the problem was, Chris,
- 35:01Speaker 2: just publicize the hell out of Ice. It's an unpleasant
- 35:04Speaker 2: thing having to arrest these illegals and deport them and
- 35:07Speaker 2: get them out of there and detain them. And it's necessary,
- 35:10Speaker 2: it's the right thing to do. You can't have all
- 35:12Speaker 2: these illegals running around. Many of them become criminals and
- 35:15Speaker 2: all of that. Many of them don't. But you know
- 35:19Speaker 2: the ones that do. You start there and you got
- 35:21Speaker 2: to get them out of the country. But it's an
- 35:23Speaker 2: unpleasant thing to do. You don't want to have to
- 35:25Speaker 2: do it, I mean, so you do it quietly, you know,
- 35:29Speaker 2: as Tom Holman. Tom Holman's been doing this for years.
- 35:32Speaker 2: He was doing it under Obama for eight years. You
- 35:34Speaker 2: never heard of him, you never saw him because he
- 35:37Speaker 2: knows do it quietly. Christy Nome is, you know, making
- 35:42Speaker 2: headlines with it, publicizing it, showing it, instagramming it, showing
- 35:47Speaker 2: up with a helmet and combat geara you keep it quiet,
- 35:53Speaker 2: just do it quietly, so they got rid of That's
- 35:55Speaker 2: one reason they got to rid of Christi Nome, just
- 35:57Speaker 2: to tone this whole thing down. Going on very quietly.
- 36:01Speaker 2: You never would have known that there's a detention center
- 36:04Speaker 2: in New Jersey, but that crazy left wing governor Mikey
- 36:07Speaker 2: Cheryl and some others what's his name is Menendez' kid
- 36:12Speaker 2: want to make an issue out of it. So they're barricading,
- 36:16Speaker 2: screaming and yelling. They want to see the facility. Why
- 36:19Speaker 2: won't you let us in? Why won't you let us
- 36:21Speaker 2: see it? Now they're all lying Menendez actually had a
- 36:24Speaker 2: tour of it days before. Doesn't admit to that. Mikey, Cheryl,
- 36:28Speaker 2: the governor could see it anytime she wants. You call
- 36:30Speaker 2: up Ice, you make arrangements for them to bring you
- 36:32Speaker 2: in and show you around. You don't just show up
- 36:35Speaker 2: with a mob screaming at the front gate. That's not
- 36:38Speaker 2: how you do it. So there's protesters. They've ginned this
- 36:41Speaker 2: up so that there's protesters outside the Ice Detention Center.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Fox News sends a reporter to cover the protest outside
- 36:48Speaker 2: the Ice Center, and you know, these crazy left wingers,
- 36:52Speaker 2: if they see a Fox logo on the microphone, they
- 36:55Speaker 2: go nuts. And this group started cursing. This is live
- 37:00Speaker 2: on television, Fox News Reporter Live, and they're cursing, saying
- 37:03Speaker 2: every disgusting four letter we're listening to the reporter.
- 37:06Speaker 4: And so the other situation, because there's people like this.
- 37:09Speaker 4: You are a protester who's been out here and you
- 37:11Speaker 4: have a dirty mouth.
- 37:13Speaker 7: But okay, so that's just what we deal with. So
- 37:16Speaker 7: just for people that want to know what it's like
- 37:17Speaker 7: to cover these protests, it's constant with this.
- 37:19Speaker 4: This is what these people do. They want people who
- 37:22Speaker 4: are in this country illegally to be out onto the streets.
- 37:26Speaker 9: It just says that's what they're gonna not.
- 37:32Speaker 2: We had a bleep most of words. You heard the
- 37:33Speaker 2: word Nazi in there, but pretty ugly stuff. So President Trump,
- 37:39Speaker 2: another big night last night. All of the people that
- 37:41Speaker 2: can't stand got voted out. Cornn lost badly. As you
- 37:46Speaker 2: heard earlier, two hundred and fifty four counties in Texas.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Corner won two of them, actually one and a half.
- 37:55Speaker 2: One's not a real county, one only has a couple
- 37:57Speaker 2: hundred people in it got tossed out. He's that angry,
- 38:01Speaker 2: nasty congressman. Remember he's the one that cursed and screamed
- 38:05Speaker 2: and yelled during the State of the Union. Algreene the congressman,
- 38:09Speaker 2: you know how he carr was on last hour. He
- 38:10Speaker 2: pointed out he might be right that the reason Algrene
- 38:14Speaker 2: originally got elected is the name al Greene. They might
- 38:18Speaker 2: have thought it's so, but it's not. It's a different
- 38:22Speaker 2: to Algren. It's a bad algreen. So this mom Donnie's scheme. First,
- 38:27Speaker 2: he's got the supermarket scheme. Remember he said thirty million
- 38:30Speaker 2: for the supermarket. If you ask the big supermarket chains.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Cristiiti's or Wegman's or any of them. There's a million
- 38:39Speaker 2: supermarket chains Stagustinas. Yeah, they all know what they're doing.
- 38:42Speaker 2: They'll tell you how much is it to open and
- 38:43Speaker 2: build a supermarket. They'll tell you two million bucks, Mam
- 38:48Speaker 2: Donnie spending thirty million. Now it turns out it's another
- 38:51Speaker 2: twenty five million that's already been thrown in there for
- 38:54Speaker 2: the area around the supermarket. Now, it's a whole scheme.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's a crazy scheme. And I remember this Mom, Dona.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Besides being a wacko socialist, he's just a college kid
- 39:04Speaker 2: who never had a job, never worked, never run anything,
- 39:07Speaker 2: never manage anything, doesn't just totally illogical about everything. So
- 39:12Speaker 2: this supermarket for lower income people, for poor people who
- 39:18Speaker 2: can't pay the regular prices, it's going to The idea
- 39:20Speaker 2: is they'll sell everything cheap. And the way they're going
- 39:23Speaker 2: to do that the supermarket is a government supermarket, so
- 39:25Speaker 2: they'll pay no rent, no taxes, and that way they
- 39:29Speaker 2: could sell it cheaper. Well, instead of trying to build supermarkets,
- 39:33Speaker 2: if you want to just take supermarkets in the low
- 39:35Speaker 2: income neighborhoods and arrange for them to have no property
- 39:39Speaker 2: tax and no rent and in exchange for that, they'll
- 39:43Speaker 2: cut the price simpler. And then they're professional supermarket people.
- 39:47Speaker 2: They know how to run the stuff, they know how
- 39:48Speaker 2: to get inventory and supply and all. They know how
- 39:50Speaker 2: to run the supermarket. But mom Donnie doesn't think that way,
- 39:54Speaker 2: so he's going to try to do it himself. Now,
- 39:57Speaker 2: this is a supermarket for very low income people. He
- 40:01Speaker 2: is spending a lot of money in these supermarkets to
- 40:04Speaker 2: put in electric charging stations outside for the electric cars.
- 40:09Speaker 2: There's nothing more expensive than electric car. Electric car costs
- 40:12Speaker 2: much more than a regular car. Why he would think
- 40:16Speaker 2: these are people you know, on welfare on this and that.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Why he would think these people would own electric cars
- 40:22Speaker 2: living in the middle of Manhattan or in the middle
- 40:27Speaker 2: of the Bronx. They don't own electric cars. You don't
- 40:29Speaker 2: need the charging stations. Now, his other scheme is do
- 40:34Speaker 2: something about these landlords. If you're a bad landlord, if
- 40:38Speaker 2: your building is neglected too many complaints, they'll government will
- 40:41Speaker 2: take over the building. He said, Well, they'll put it
- 40:45Speaker 2: in the hands of a union or a tenants union
- 40:48Speaker 2: or receiver. Well, it's basically the government taken over the building.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Here's Mandani.
- 40:54Speaker 13: When necessary, we will take aggressive legal action to remove
- 40:57Speaker 13: negligent owners and property managers, and four buildings that have
- 41:04Speaker 13: suffered chronic neglect. We will work to transfer ownership to
- 41:08Speaker 13: responsible stewards.
- 41:12Speaker 2: That sounds good, doesn't it. Well, remember he's a communist.
- 41:15Speaker 2: He's a socialist. He's a communist. What's it really about.
- 41:18Speaker 2: It's what communists do, seizing private property, seizing private business.
- 41:24Speaker 2: So you might have a very very bad landlord. But
- 41:27Speaker 2: this is the idea, is that the government, the government
- 41:32Speaker 2: will seize the property and take it over. That's pretty good.
- 41:36Speaker 2: We have two visitors entering the studio. Now. The bible
- 41:39Speaker 2: of talk radio is Barrett Media, not just talk radio,
- 41:43Speaker 2: music radio, sports radio. It's like the media website Barrett Media.
- 41:50Speaker 2: In here is Jason Barrett and Stephanie Eads who they
- 41:53Speaker 2: both run Barrett Media. They see the posters two years
- 41:58Speaker 2: in a row, I won number one one show in America.
- 42:01Speaker 2: We have both of them blown up and they're on
- 42:03Speaker 2: the walls here, and Jason, you want to say a
- 42:07Speaker 2: few words over there? Do these microphones actually work? We
- 42:11Speaker 2: have like seven microphones here. I don't know if they've
- 42:13Speaker 2: ever been turned on. So you are the number one
- 42:18Speaker 2: media website of the audio business. And you guys are
- 42:22Speaker 2: in New York. Oh you went to Patsy's last night.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, it was great, fantastic recommendation.
- 42:28Speaker 2: It's excellent.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Did get it from the guy who also calls us
- 42:31Speaker 4: the bible of talk radio? You're the bible of the
- 42:33Speaker 4: audience of one we appreciated media and sports radio, music radio.
- 42:39Speaker 4: You're doing a big convention in July, right, June thirtieth, July, second.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Major, major convention here in New York. And who are
- 42:49Speaker 2: some of the speakers. You got Adam Carolla, you got Corolla.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Buck Sexton, Jimmy Fayla, this guy named Mark Simone. We've
- 42:56Speaker 4: got a bunch in the news talk world that are
- 42:58Speaker 4: going to be in the room. We've got the CEO
- 43:00Speaker 4: of Audyssey. We've got a bunch of program directors, market managers,
- 43:05Speaker 4: talent all over the place.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's every major talk radio host in the world
- 43:10Speaker 2: all in one room. Try to get a word in.
- 43:12Speaker 2: It's unbelievably. You got to wear ear musk.
- 43:16Speaker 4: That's the challenge. When you've got forty minutes and three
- 43:19Speaker 4: or four people, there's not enough time to get into things.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you had it in New York last year. At
- 43:23Speaker 2: a theater. Now you got to move so much bigger theater.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Yeah good, Yeah, that we're we'll be at the SBA Theater.
- 43:29Speaker 4: It's on West twenty third Street.
- 43:30Speaker 2: And if you if you really want to follow not
- 43:33Speaker 2: just talk radio, music radio, sports radio. Also you've got
- 43:36Speaker 2: great coverage of TV and you know Colbert going off,
- 43:39Speaker 2: that's that kind of stuff. Just go to Barrett Media
- 43:42Speaker 2: two rs to t's right, yep, Barrettmedia dot com and
- 43:46Speaker 2: start following it every day. It's a great, great website,
- 43:49Speaker 2: Barrettmedia dot com. You learn a lot. You won't need
- 43:53Speaker 2: all those stupid old Hollywood Reporter.
- 43:58Speaker 4: Yeah, what was up with that? I know we talked
- 44:00Speaker 4: to you for How did they do a list on
- 44:03Speaker 4: most influential in New York in media and not have
- 44:06Speaker 4: anybody from the entire audio or radio industry.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's unbelievable, the Hollywood Reporter, it's a bunch of elitists,
- 44:14Speaker 2: out of touch LA people. The most influential people in
- 44:17Speaker 2: New York they had like somebody from New York Magazine,
- 44:19Speaker 2: which has twelve readers. They had people nobody's ever heard of.
- 44:24Speaker 4: The guy who runs iHeart Bob Pittman cut a deal
- 44:28Speaker 4: with Netflix is generating massive global reach for the entire industry.
- 44:34Speaker 4: He's based here, and that guy's not on the list.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Or Charlemagne the guy right, I know, I'm looking at
- 44:39Speaker 4: the list going how like you could debate should it
- 44:42Speaker 4: be Charlemagne, should it be Bob Pittman, should have Howard?
- 44:46Speaker 4: None of them on the list.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so it'd be like the NPR guy with twelve
- 44:49Speaker 2: listeners who whispers like this, and then no Elvis Duran
- 44:53Speaker 2: who has like ten million listeners, Charlemage who has ten
- 44:55Speaker 2: million listeners, or go upstairs that Buck Sexton ten million listeners,
- 45:01Speaker 2: Sean Hannity's sixteen million listeners. Yep, Hey, just to explain
- 45:04Speaker 2: to everybody, radio is there's some illusion out there. Oh
- 45:08Speaker 2: radio is dying, nobody listens anywhere? Not the case, No,
- 45:11Speaker 2: it's not the case. Here's the deal. Radio is more
- 45:15Speaker 2: than just radio now. It's offered everywhere. It's the content
- 45:18Speaker 2: you're creating here right now that is going to be
- 45:20Speaker 2: in video, it's going to be in podcasts, it's going
- 45:22Speaker 2: to be in written form. And so there's never been
- 45:24Speaker 2: a better time to be in audio period. It's just
- 45:27Speaker 2: that it gets picked up in a lot of different places.
- 45:30Speaker 2: And because there's so much competition now, there's more people
- 45:34Speaker 2: creating audio than ever before. So because of that, people
- 45:37Speaker 2: might listen to you for an hour, whereas before they
- 45:39Speaker 2: listen for an hour and a half. Okay, but there's
- 45:41Speaker 2: more people listening to you for an hour now than
- 45:44Speaker 2: there are people that in the past. We're listening for
- 45:46Speaker 2: an hour and a half. So there's more interest in
- 45:49Speaker 2: content period. It's just that oftentimes the industry just gets
- 45:54Speaker 2: this negative rap and I don't think as an industry
- 45:57Speaker 2: we've done the best job of combating that. We do.
- 46:00Speaker 4: What we do is to say, hey, listen, there's you know,
- 46:04Speaker 4: you just brought up all the examples of Hannity's audience,
- 46:07Speaker 4: Charlemagne's audio. Millions of people are listening to this every day.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Go on the roadway in New York City during afternoon
- 46:13Speaker 4: drive traffic, and tell me that people don't have a
- 46:15Speaker 4: radio on. They all do. It's just that unfortunately it
- 46:19Speaker 4: doesn't get its due. And video is such a it's
- 46:23Speaker 4: an enticing format and medium to a lot of advertisers,
- 46:27Speaker 4: and that's what it's about. It's all about the advertising component.
- 46:31Speaker 4: That's why these stories come out. Everybody's just trying to
- 46:33Speaker 4: keep ad rates down.
- 46:36Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty nine million people listen to radio
- 46:38Speaker 2: every day, sixty three million listen to AM radio every day,
- 46:41Speaker 2: so they'll tell you no one listens television network television
- 46:46Speaker 2: twenty five million and dropping. So, hey, Stephen Colbert, you've
- 46:50Speaker 2: been covering him. Just announced a YouTube channel. That's not
- 46:55Speaker 2: an indication that nobody wanted to hire him. Wouldn't you
- 46:57Speaker 2: assume if he was anything that would bring in any revenue? Netflix,
- 47:02Speaker 2: somebody would have come to him, HBO.
- 47:04Speaker 4: To be fair, I don't know his contractual situation, so
- 47:08Speaker 4: would in Netflix and Amazon? Would a news nation? Would
- 47:13Speaker 4: someone else hire him? Probably? Also, what does it cost
- 47:16Speaker 4: if they were losing forty million dollars on the show
- 47:18Speaker 4: and had a staff of two hundred people. Maybe people
- 47:21Speaker 4: don't want to put all those resources into it. And
- 47:23Speaker 4: maybe he doesn't want to do a show if he
- 47:25Speaker 4: doesn't have enough resource. So, and I also understand he's
- 47:29Speaker 4: trying to strike while the iron's hot. If you are
- 47:31Speaker 4: going to need six to twelve months to deal with
- 47:33Speaker 4: legal stuff to go do content, you just go to
- 47:36Speaker 4: YouTube tomorrow and start doing it right. So we'll see
- 47:40Speaker 4: how it plays out. I got to believe somebody will
- 47:42Speaker 4: be interested in working with them at what level? At you?
- 47:46Speaker 4: At what cost? Is it effective? Like those are going
- 47:49Speaker 4: to be the big questions.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Yeah, daft at two hundred, look at our control room?
- 47:52Speaker 2: How many people work? You got too too? And they're
- 47:55Speaker 2: not even listening.
- 47:57Speaker 4: That's how it is in most stations.
- 48:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I remember there was one engineer here. Every time I
- 48:02Speaker 2: was talking, he's laughing, laughing, boy, he was he laughing.
- 48:04Speaker 2: I go in there. I see he's watching a movie
- 48:06Speaker 2: that had nothing to do with me. So anyway, hey,
- 48:09Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next, Jason Barrett, everybody, and Stephanie Eads.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Thanks for being here. Everybody. Check out Barrett Media. You'll
- 48:17Speaker 2: you'll want to read it every day. Are you really
- 48:19Speaker 2: interested in media radio? Barrettmedia dot com. We'll take some
- 48:22Speaker 2: calls next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten, he's more.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Mark okay, So Mark simone show on seven ten WI.
- 48:36Speaker 2: We'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 48:41Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one
- 48:45Speaker 2: zero seven ten. Let's go to John and Bayonne. John,
- 48:48Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 48:50Speaker 9: What I'm doing? I'll say uh, just a suggestion from
- 48:53Speaker 9: mister Blakeman. I received one of these postcards. On one
- 48:57Speaker 9: side they had Hoke and Mondamie. On the other side
- 49:01Speaker 9: they had Blakeman. I don't know. I wouldn't share the
- 49:05Speaker 9: postcard with.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Well, who's the postcard from.
- 49:10Speaker 9: It's from Blakeman. It's promoting him as as government.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Why are you getting it? You can't vote. You're in
- 49:15Speaker 2: New Jersey.
- 49:17Speaker 9: I'm sorry. I'm working in New Jersey, but I live
- 49:19Speaker 9: in Brooklyn.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Oh oh okay, Well that makes sense. All right, Well
- 49:23Speaker 2: he's probably listening, so you just told him. Thanks for calling.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Take care. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how
- 49:31Speaker 2: you doing Mark? Mike?
- 49:34Speaker 12: He was speaking earlier with another caller and he mentioned
- 49:37Speaker 12: the NYCHA housing. Another thing that Nitscha is sort of
- 49:42Speaker 12: manages in the city and in the state or the
- 49:44Speaker 12: state manages and they're part of it is the Section
- 49:47Speaker 12: eight housing, which is a complete, correct, corrupt mess that
- 49:50Speaker 12: the government sinks money into alarming amounts.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a total government running housing is the worst
- 49:59Speaker 2: disaster ever. You'll you'll beg the slumlord to come back
- 50:03Speaker 2: and take it.
- 50:03Speaker 12: Over the exactly and that goes to the supermarket scam.
- 50:06Speaker 12: You know who. I doubt anybody in Chinatown is going
- 50:10Speaker 12: to trace up to East Hallan to go to a
- 50:11Speaker 12: supermarket where they can save a dime on a can
- 50:14Speaker 12: of corn. It makes you know, it makes no sense
- 50:17Speaker 12: practically even you know, except for maybe somebody in the neighborhood.
- 50:20Speaker 2: No, and you could lower the price in every supermarket
- 50:22Speaker 2: in New York just like that. Just no property tax
- 50:26Speaker 2: on supermarkets and they'll cut exactly.
- 50:28Speaker 12: And you know it's you know, we had Bloomberg opened
- 50:32Speaker 12: up these green markets all over uptown. You know where
- 50:34Speaker 12: I used to live up on the Upper east Side
- 50:36Speaker 12: and I would go up to Spanish Harlem to go shopping.
- 50:38Speaker 12: There was these green markers and every other corner green glosses.
- 50:41Speaker 10: And they were always empty.
- 50:42Speaker 12: I'd be the only one shopping there because nobody, you
- 50:45Speaker 12: know who was like a complete waste of money. You
- 50:46Speaker 12: are the part of the city to even establish these things.
- 50:50Speaker 12: So these things don't work.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Now, why would you leave? You left the Upper east Side,
- 50:53Speaker 2: You're in Florida. Where are you in Florida?
- 50:55Speaker 12: Don't ask? Don't ask?
- 50:57Speaker 10: Please.
- 50:58Speaker 12: Every time I go back to I thought my rent
- 51:02Speaker 12: was too high. And now it's tripled, so I believe me.
- 51:04Speaker 2: Tell everybody how bad it gets in Florida.
- 51:07Speaker 12: Horrible. Only it's hurricane season, so NonStop, all they're talking
- 51:11Speaker 12: about is hurricane preparedness. It's like a horricane, hurricane torn
- 51:15Speaker 12: They love it. They can't stop talking about. Every other
- 51:17Speaker 12: word out of their mouth is hurricane, this, hurricane. That's
- 51:21Speaker 12: it's it's unnerving a billion old people doddering around. Believe me,
- 51:27Speaker 12: stay in your stay in your apartment in Manhattan.
- 51:30Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah. Yeah. The one argument people, well,
- 51:35Speaker 2: I can't I can't take the snow anymore. I can't
- 51:37Speaker 2: take the winter. And hey, we did have a bad
- 51:40Speaker 2: winter this year with a couple of really heavy blizzards.
- 51:43Speaker 2: But how much was that? It was like two weeks here,
- 51:46Speaker 2: three weeks there. There's like a total of six weeks
- 51:48Speaker 2: of snow on the ground. Okay, it was cold, but
- 51:51Speaker 2: I'll take that over six months of one hundred degree
- 51:55Speaker 2: heat in the summer and hurricanes and having to evacuate
- 51:58Speaker 2: every two seconds and just stay in New York much better.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Let's go to Joe in Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing,
- 52:06Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark.
- 52:07Speaker 14: We had the same thing in Paterson, New Jersey that
- 52:09Speaker 14: we called the public housing.
- 52:11Speaker 9: They destroyed them.
- 52:12Speaker 10: They took the copper out, They.
- 52:13Speaker 9: Destroyed the building so bad they couldn't even fix them.
- 52:15Speaker 10: They head to demolish them.
- 52:17Speaker 9: Yeah, so that's so much for your public housing. That's
- 52:20Speaker 9: what happens.
- 52:20Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Oh, I forgot. I was
- 52:23Speaker 2: going to tell you. The sinkhole on the lie. People
- 52:28Speaker 2: really concerned about this in the middle of the Long
- 52:30Speaker 2: Island Expressway out in Suffolk County. I think at the
- 52:33Speaker 2: Huntington exit. What's that forty nine were one ten somewhere
- 52:36Speaker 2: around there. Sinkhole. Now, usually that's a tremendous amount of groundwater.
- 52:41Speaker 2: The water underneath erodes the bedrock and the soil creates
- 52:46Speaker 2: a big cavity and then the ground sinks into it.
- 52:50Speaker 2: So it's usually natural groundwater. That's why it happens, like
- 52:53Speaker 2: in Florida places like that. But so it was the
- 52:56Speaker 2: thought was last week, as we told you, their pipe
- 53:00Speaker 2: under there, infrastructure water pipes, and they thought that one
- 53:03Speaker 2: of them was so old and maybe the joint broke
- 53:05Speaker 2: or it leaked and put all that water and then
- 53:07Speaker 2: that's why the sinkhole. That's pretty scary because you got
- 53:11Speaker 2: these pipes all under the lie. Well, there might be
- 53:15Speaker 2: another explanation. This might make you feel better. There was
- 53:18Speaker 2: a contractor doing work on the side along the service
- 53:22Speaker 2: road there and they were trying to drill under the
- 53:25Speaker 2: lie to put something through, like a like a pipe
- 53:28Speaker 2: all the way underneath. And they think that something went
- 53:31Speaker 2: wrong with whatever they were doing, and that might have
- 53:33Speaker 2: caused the water, which would be a good thing because
- 53:35Speaker 2: that means it's just that one particular thing. It wasn't
- 53:38Speaker 2: the infrastructure rotting. Let's go to Jane in Long Island. Jane,
- 53:42Speaker 2: how you.
- 53:43Speaker 11: Doing marks themone?
- 53:45Speaker 12: How are you?
- 53:46Speaker 9: Longtime listener?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Well?
- 53:48Speaker 13: Thanks, how's everybody?
- 53:52Speaker 9: It's really nice to hear your voice.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Long Island, Long Island.
- 53:58Speaker 9: We're in plain View, Hicks.
- 54:00Speaker 2: I love playing View. Yeah, you don't hear people say
- 54:04Speaker 2: that a lot, but I like playing view. You got
- 54:05Speaker 2: the La Piazza there, you got cravings that great?
- 54:08Speaker 9: The supermarket, that's right, that's right, you do know you
- 54:12Speaker 9: do know.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Your Oh you got the new Ivorne pizza.
- 54:15Speaker 9: There, we got ivorone. Actually not too far away. Up
- 54:20Speaker 9: on him, said Turnpike. We're getting an Uncle Giuseppe over
- 54:23Speaker 9: in beth Page.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Uncle Giuseppes is the greatest supermarkets, like the Italian Wegman's.
- 54:28Speaker 2: They're all over there, Long Island. The best one is
- 54:30Speaker 2: in Melton.
- 54:31Speaker 9: That food is great. You got the best meets.
- 54:33Speaker 2: We can't get I can't get them open in Manhattan,
- 54:36Speaker 2: but they should, but go ahead.
- 54:41Speaker 8: Not on politics, just wanted to know how's our buddy
- 54:43Speaker 8: Joe Bartlett.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Doing's very happy. He's in Hilton Head, plays golf every day.
- 54:51Speaker 2: I don't understand these guys that can play golf every day.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I guess I used to a million years ago. I
- 54:55Speaker 2: can't do it anymore every day, but they love it. No,
- 54:58Speaker 2: he's very, very happy. We'll have to get him on
- 55:01Speaker 2: one day and check in with him. He's on the
- 55:02Speaker 2: morning show now and then checking in. But thanks for colling.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 55:09Speaker 10: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Marra. No matter where public
- 55:12Speaker 10: housing are tried, they always get bad news. Even in Italy,
- 55:18Speaker 10: public housing are terrible. They're all slums and ghettos.
- 55:23Speaker 9: Mark.
- 55:24Speaker 10: You pointed out one of the reasons why public housing
- 55:28Speaker 10: is bad news when you said Mondami's going to open
- 55:32Speaker 10: up these supermarkets and he's going to make them cheaper,
- 55:35Speaker 10: so he says, by not being charged property tax and
- 55:40Speaker 10: water and sewer use. Well, that's the reason why people
- 55:44Speaker 10: should be against any more public housing projects being built,
- 55:49Speaker 10: because when the city comes in and on the eminent
- 55:53Speaker 10: domain and right away ubscons a bunch of private property
- 55:59Speaker 10: that was contributed to the tax base that was paying
- 56:03Speaker 10: water and sewer taxes. Since the city doesn't pay water
- 56:07Speaker 10: and sewert taxes, now that financial load that those private
- 56:14Speaker 10: owners were paying has to now be distributed to the
- 56:18Speaker 10: rest of the citizenry in that area because the city,
- 56:23Speaker 10: as you pointed out, does not pay property or water
- 56:28Speaker 10: or seward taxes. And I learned that forty years ago
- 56:33Speaker 10: when the city absconded a bunch of single family homes
- 56:38Speaker 10: in Coney Allen and built those high rise projects over there,
- 56:43Speaker 10: which all of them a crime infested. And my brother
- 56:47Speaker 10: had a friend who owned one of the houses that
- 56:50Speaker 10: under eminent domain they took away. And I said, well,
- 56:54Speaker 10: why is anybody against us? He says, why. He says,
- 56:57Speaker 10: they're not giving you mock of value for your property,
- 57:00Speaker 10: and plus the financial burden, it's a mess.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Vincent. We got to go do the news. But great
- 57:06Speaker 2: point thanks for calling. Hey, when we come back. Bruce
- 57:09Speaker 2: Blakeman the next governor of New York. He'll be with
- 57:13Speaker 2: us next on seven to ten.
- 57:14Speaker 14: W R.
- 57:17Speaker 6: Sent Womar.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Well Bruce Blakeman. Of course, he's the county executive of
- 57:24Speaker 2: Nasau County. That's like being a governor, and it's the
- 57:26Speaker 2: best run county in America. You can look at all
- 57:28Speaker 2: the numbers, so nobody would be a better governor for
- 57:31Speaker 2: New York than Bruce Blakeman. Now you can help out,
- 57:34Speaker 2: you can donate, you can volunteer. Just go to blakemanfrom
- 57:37Speaker 2: neew York dot com Blakeman for New York dot com.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Also make sure you're following on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, all
- 57:44Speaker 2: that great social media. And he's with us now. Bruce Blakeman,
- 57:47Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 57:49Speaker 9: I'm doing great, Mark. It's always a pleasure to.
- 57:52Speaker 10: Be with you.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Yeah you uh, Hey, you spoke with the President on
- 57:56Speaker 2: Friday right at the same event.
- 57:59Speaker 9: Yeah, the President great. He was just so wonderful. There
- 58:03Speaker 9: was the family of that young west Chester girl, Sheridan,
- 58:07Speaker 9: who was murdered by a legal migrant in Chicago. He
- 58:11Speaker 9: was just wonderful to the family. Then he met the
- 58:14Speaker 9: mom of a young man who saved many lives on
- 58:18Speaker 9: nine to eleven. And of course Mike Warler, a great
- 58:23Speaker 9: member of Congress, all together to talk about American values,
- 58:28Speaker 9: and I was fortunate enough to be able to speak there. Twice.
- 58:33Speaker 9: He called me up on stage, he gave me a
- 58:35Speaker 9: lot of shout outs, and I consider him a good friend,
- 58:39Speaker 9: but more importantly, he's a great president.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, the Kathy Hockle, You've got to beat her
- 58:45Speaker 2: in November. I think you will. And as far as
- 58:50Speaker 2: the money, she's got thirty two million in her war chest. Now,
- 58:53Speaker 2: they tried to block you, and they pulled all kinds
- 58:55Speaker 2: of funny business to deny you campaign financing. Has that
- 58:58Speaker 2: been fixed?
- 59:00Speaker 9: Yeah? We won that case, but Kathy Hochel is using
- 59:04Speaker 9: taxpayer money to appeal that when on four corners of
- 59:09Speaker 9: the law we were solid. And it's more dirty tricks
- 59:14Speaker 9: from Kathy ho She's scared to death in me and
- 59:18Speaker 9: basically she knows that people are miserable in New York.
- 59:22Speaker 9: We're over tax our utility rates or seventy percent higher
- 59:26Speaker 9: than the national average. So I'm going to cut them
- 59:29Speaker 9: in half when I become governor. Were going to lower taxes.
- 59:32Speaker 9: We're in create jobs and make for safe for communities.
- 59:35Speaker 9: And yesterday we filed sixty six thousand signatures on a
- 59:41Speaker 9: petition to put me on an independent line called Vote Affordable,
- 59:45Speaker 9: and we needed only forty five thousand. We were able
- 59:48Speaker 9: to get sixty six thousand people, and that was just
- 59:51Speaker 9: a tremendous effort. So not only will I be running
- 59:54Speaker 9: as a Republican and the Conservative, but also on the
- 59:57Speaker 9: Vote Affordable line. So that's a big boost to the campaign,
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: and we feel very confident. I do expect to be
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: governor on January first of about twenty twenty seven.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: No, it would save New York. I've heard her mention
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: you a few times now. You never do that if
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: you're well ahead and you're totally confident. You only mention
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: the opponent when you're really getting scared. So looks like
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you're making a lot of progress, right.
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: Well, I'll tell you she spent a million dollars on
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: attack ads on me last month. You don't spend a
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: million dollars on attack ads on a Republican in New
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: York State when you're the incumbent governor unless you're in deep,
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: and she's in deep. She knows the race is neck
- 1:00:39Speaker 9: and neck, and that you know, you can't run away
- 1:00:42Speaker 9: from your record number forty one out of fifty states
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: in economic development, the once Great Empire state. That's just
- 1:00:50Speaker 9: a national embarrassment.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: So when you ran for NASA count executive, Laura Kern
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: was way ahead. And she wasn't bad, she wasn't terrible.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: She was much better. But she was okay, and you
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: beat her. You came out and just took off and
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: crushed her.
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: Well, you know, she was very popular. She was an incumbent,
- 1:01:11Speaker 9: She was a Democrat in the county with one hundred
- 1:01:13Speaker 9: and ten thousand more Democrats than Republicans, and we were
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: able to win that race. She was very well liked.
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: I liked Laura Kerrn. I just didn't agree with her policy.
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: So I ran an issue oriented campaign, talked about issues,
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: and the people agreed with me. And then we've had
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: four years of nothing but success. Named the safest county
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: in America by US News and World Report, seven bond upgrades,
- 1:01:38Speaker 9: four budget surpluses, and I haven't raised taxes one penny mark. Yeah,
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: in four years. As a matter of fact, I cut
- 1:01:45Speaker 9: Laura currents one hundred and fifty million dollar tax increase
- 1:01:48Speaker 9: completely out of the budget.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Yeah, a remarkable job in Newso kunt of, you'd be
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: the best choice for governor for New York. Everybody go
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: to Blakeman fornew York dot com. You can donate there
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: or volunteer whatever you want do Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Hey,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: in the old days when you ran, you know, you
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: film these, you know, very you know, typical TV commercials.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Talk about it. Now it's different. You've got to be
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: on social media. It's AI videos and that kind of stuff.
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: Right. Oh, yeah, we're doing AI AI videos. We have
- 1:02:18Speaker 9: social influencers. We've got a tremendous amount of presence on
- 1:02:24Speaker 9: social media. We've gotten twelve million views just last month
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: in our social media twelve million dwarfs anything that Kathy
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: Hoko has done. So we are very active. We understand
- 1:02:38Speaker 9: that that's a new form of communication that's very important.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: So not only are we doing direct mail and print
- 1:02:44Speaker 9: media and radio and TV ads, but we're doing a
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: lot of social media and a lot of streaming. So
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: we're going to run a very robust campaign until victory.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, talk about the You talk about taxes, but
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: talk about electricity. I don't think people realize in New
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: York how much more they're paying for electricity. What can
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: we do about that?
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: Well, Mark, it's seventy percent higher than national average, and
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: that's because if you look at your electric bill, only
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: thirty percent of your payment goes for energy. And she
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: just raised the cost of utilities again by agreeing to
- 1:03:20Speaker 9: another increase on the delivery cost. Our delivery costs are excessive.
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: She taxes your utility bill and you pay when you
- 1:03:30Speaker 9: pay your bill. For the green energy scam, where she
- 1:03:34Speaker 9: puts a fund together of billions of dollars basically to
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: invest in science projects, costs billions of dollars, produces very
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: little energy, And we are sitting on one of the
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: Latin largest natural gas reserves in the world and she
- 1:03:48Speaker 9: won't let us drill. We're right on the other side
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: of the border in Pennsylvania they can drill, and we're
- 1:03:54Speaker 9: buying our gas from Pennsylvania. It's insane.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: So what would it take to get fracking going here
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: in New York legislature? What would it take?
- 1:04:06Speaker 9: No, I believe that as governor I have the right
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: to start that program and license them to start fracking
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: there Let's get as much natural gas as possible. We've
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: got plenty of it, and that'll increase the supply. And
- 1:04:23Speaker 9: when you increase the supply, it brings them the cost.
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: And that's what we want to do. Kathy Hockel has
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: done nothing to make it more affordable in New York.
- 1:04:31Speaker 9: In fact, she's made it unaffordable over the last four years.
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: I'm going to be a governor that creates jobs, prosperity,
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: brings taxes down, cutry utility rates, and makes for not
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: only an affordable state, but a safe state and a
- 1:04:44Speaker 9: state where there's jobs, good jobs with good benefits. Kathy
- 1:04:49Speaker 9: Hochel is the most anti union governor we've ever had.
- 1:04:55Speaker 9: I mean, everything that American worker stand for, Kathy Hochel
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: is against. And that's why so many unions who traditionally
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: don't support Republicans are supporting me.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Now, Bruce Blakeman as governor, what can you do about
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Mom Donnie as far as keeping him in line, keeping
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: him from pulling any of his crazy schemes.
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: Well, I have the power over the purse, so I
- 1:05:20Speaker 9: will use that. In addition, I can take over any
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: city agencies that aren't performing. And as a drastic matter.
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: It would be a last resort because he is a
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: duly elected official and I don't think that should be
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: upset by removing him from office unless he's engaged in
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: egregious unlawful conduct. But if he does engage in egregious
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: unlawful conduct, I will remove him as mayor. So hopefully
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: he'll behave himself. Kathy Hokel, he will not behave himself.
- 1:05:54Speaker 9: Comrade Kathy is right with Mandami Da Kami in destroying
- 1:05:58Speaker 9: the economy of New York, increasing anti Semitism in our city,
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: and an atmosphere of complete lawlessness in New York City,
- 1:06:07Speaker 9: which I will stop when I become governor.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Yeah, well, everybody, you got to help Bruce Blakeman. You
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: can donate, you can volunteer. Go to blakemanfro new York
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: dot com, Blakeman for new York dot Com. And what
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: do you need people to do for you? Obviously donate,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: but what else can they do?
- 1:06:24Speaker 9: Yeah, we need volunteers. And you know you got the
- 1:06:27Speaker 9: power of your cell phone, So text people, email people,
- 1:06:32Speaker 9: click onto our Instagram, watch our TikTok, go on Facebook.
- 1:06:38Speaker 9: Make sure that everybody gets active and realizes that we're
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: at a tipping point in New York. We can go
- 1:06:44Speaker 9: in a great direction on my leadership, where we continue
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: to be a failure and an unaffordable state with people
- 1:06:52Speaker 9: moving out, businesses moving out. So go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com,
- 1:06:57Speaker 9: get your friends out to vote, and we will do that.
- 1:07:00Speaker 9: We will turn the state around and people will be
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: happy again in New York rather than be miserable under
- 1:07:04Speaker 9: Kathy Hokle.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: All right, everybody, go to Blakeman from neew York dot com.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, keep up the good work and I know
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: you're working hard and we'll talk again soon.
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: Thanks so much, Mark, God bless you.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: All right, take care. He's go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Donate,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: volunteer all that stuff. Hey, oh, I forgot to tell
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: you Joe Biden suing the Trump administration. Remember when he
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: was writing, he was writing a book, he wrote an autobiography,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: and he had a ghostwriter. So the ghostwriter what they
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: do is they interview you. They record it. They interview
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: you for like a thousand hours and talk to you.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Then later I remember there was a special counsel investigating
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: Joe Biden, and apparently he got the Special counselor decided
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: not to prosecute Biden. Not that he wasn't guilty of stuff.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: They just said his memory's gone. He's an old guy.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: He's not even capable of testifying. Somewhere, that Special Council
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: got a hold of the audio of the ghostwriter interviewing Biden,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: which means it's now in the hands of the Justice Department.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: The Trump Justice Department wants to release the audio. Joe
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Biden is now suing the Department of Justice to block
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: the release of that audio. Apparently it's very embarrassing. Apparently
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: he's totally out of it. He's just completely his brain
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: is all fried and you can hear it on the audio.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: So he's suing trying to block the release of that.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: This will be fascinating stuff if this gets released. Very
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: embarrassing for the media and Democrats that covered up for him.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Hey don't forget At noon, it's Buck and Clay coming
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: up with a great show. And then you got the
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: most listened to radio show in America. Sean Hannity at three,
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly at six, The Brilliant Funny Jimmy Fayla, Every
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: night now nine to midnight. And don't forget Curtis's back
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Curtis Lee, Larry Mente every morning six to ten on
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: seven ten WR.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: If you listen to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button. Now now back to
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the Mark Simone Show on woor Hey.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: The cabinet meeting underway at the White House. The press
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: is in there, the cameras are in there. Then they'll
