- Nate: Tonight on the North American Friends Movie Club. A secret agent. A scary bad guy. And the world's most enchanting accountant. We watched the 2006 spy thriller Casino Royale. So slip into your movie tuxedo. And shoot the power button on your television. Because we're the James Bond's of podcasts. And this show is the pistol we use at work. ⁓ this is what it sounds like when we do a podcast. We're currently doing one. This is the North American Friends Movie Club, and you might notice something about the name of our show. And that's Friends Comes Before Movie Club. Because it's simply more important to the three of us. It's the most important thing. In life. It's, yeah. I was going to say in life, but then I thought you both had children, so I didn't want to make that declarative a statement, so I stopped. Before I said you want to be a good parent, you need to be a friend to your child. Being a friend is the most important thing in life is what we're learning about this show. And that means I got to ask my two little spies, my two little secret agents. How we doing? Well, it sounds like we've not been doing well in general. It's just struggles. We missed last week. It's tough run for the North American Friends Movie Club. The friends have been struggling. Last week was not anyone's fault though. That was, we would argue Edmonton's fault, the city's fault. Well, you definitely could argue that because there's a big debate going on here about infill construction and the limits to which it's good and bad. I'm a yes in my backyard, of course. So let's build that ship. they were the guy was excavating and at one point during the excavation. He was like packing the land. So he was usually like literally using like a bulldozer to be like lift the bucket up and slam it on the ground and lift it up. It it was the kind of sound that there's no way around it. I can't filter out like. Very familiar with that move. Very familiar with that move. Why don't you guys ask me what's been happening? What's been happening? What's happening? I have collected a long. a long series of what's been happening. And it starts off, it starts off with a challenge to both you and Nate. Okay. You need to stop using Twitter. Okay. You need to stop using Twitter. You using it in general is ⁓ providing money to Nazis. Like, let's just be clear. Like if you're using the website X, you are funding fascism, Nazism, everything bad, misinformation. Like, it's just bad. So I just wanted to say that straight out to you guys and to anyone who's listening. We gotta stop. Okay, two things. Two things about that. I have the Spanish angels there. And if Blue Sky would come up with a group text situation, we'll move the Spanish angels over there. And you saw on blue sky, listen, you guys are your own worst enemy for recruiting. I'm the blue sky. ⁓ I'm just saying the blue sky elders, because I want to make the switch permanent, but I can't because people call their timeline the skyline. I don't like that. Okay. So they got it. They have to add to that. So all I'm hearing is reasons why you're supporting Nazis and you're just making excuses. I'm sorry that you have to make yourself slightly uncomfortable for the benefit of humanity. And I would ask the Spanish angels, you got to put your money where your mouth is. Show up or throw up. ⁓ I actually do have another DM related blue sky criticism, which is. It will be a much more appealing website if you can start DMing photos. But until that happens, I'm going to stick to Twitter. OK, OK. OK. What happened to taking a picture of it, putting it in the mail, put a stamp on it? to the fax machines? Sealing with a little wax, a little wax with a butt seal. You know, it's original. It's an original posture. Whatever happened to hand drawn? I'm just kidding. Yeah, it looks like this. My next thing is ⁓ I need to stop losing weight or my cute jeans aren't going to fit for spring break. ⁓ know what? problem to have. ⁓ love the lemonade's too sweet. Steaks too juicy. ⁓ but seriously, though, I it. I get it. I can't wear my jeans. I can't wear my jeans. My my jeans. Yes. I the opposite problem. I have to lose weight to get back into the good genes. Listen, maybe you guys gotta do a gene swap. What's your secret? How are you losing weight? What's your secret? She's injecting GLP-1s into her bloods. Yeah. And I'm taking it. And I finally got diagnosed with ADHD, so I'm taking a stimulant. Like, bitch can't keep weight on. Kate's basically an American gladiator right now. I was ripped at all. ⁓ my butt is so saggy though. Such a sad, bleached, saggy lady booty, but it's okay. I got somebody who likes it. Yeah. Yeah. You made it. Okay. Next one. ⁓ Flowers for all. I had a diagnosed speech impediment as a kindergartner. I am losing my hearing in my left ear and my IQ is likely very average. If written, I would have always chose exclamation. I can't believe I have been saying that wrong. I thank everyone for being gentle and helping me understand how dumb I am. I wait, wait. I like like that you wrote a nice letter, but I want to like stop the content in the letter. I don't know what to do. I'm twisted up. Well, I feel like, you know, I feel like it was a very gentle way to educate me on how I have been. not sounding intelligent. I was deeply embarrassed. ⁓ Britt has no comment. Thank you. I'm not. Listen, I say a lot of fucked up shit, so I can't get in those weeds. Yeah, I say words wrong in those weeds of saying words wrong, then this will be a three hour episode. Sometimes when I'm editing the podcast, I'll like hear something I say and I'll have to like Google to be like, did I use that word correctly? And sometimes it's like the opposite. Like sometimes I'm like, I said perpendicular and what I meant was like, I don't know. Something different. You guys use words that I have no, I don't know what it means. And I just go along with the conversation. Perfect. Use the clues. Everyone's doing that. That's what language is basically. Yeah. I think as long as, like I said before, as long as the three of us understand each other, that's we're using language correctly. Now does the greater audience understand us? I mean, maybe that's why we don't have any sponsors. We don't know. Someday. Okay. I want to mention that ⁓ last episode, ⁓ Brint really actually lead me a couple of times. So I noticed that whenever I was describing a part in the movie that I liked, Brent would say exactly what I said again, just slightly different. And he did it a couple of times. somebody else pointed it out to me too. Can't agree with greatness. And I know it was coming from like what you were doing was you agreed with me and you were just trying to like, you wanted to say it too, which I totally get from a ⁓ woman's perspective that happens a lot to us. because men feel like they can explain it better or we didn't do a good enough job. And so that's how it reads sometimes. Okay. Like a mansplain situation. I didn't even notice it while editing, but you noticed it and someone else did this because I'm where it's, it's man brain. I'm like, yep, that's what you do. A woman says something and then you come in over the top. Ba boom, double trouble. Now to do for a little slight pushback on that. We have, let's take that example that Kate just said about how I repeat what she just said or very similar to what she said and I mansplain it. Now let's compare that situation to one that happened less than three minutes ago where Kate said something. I didn't say anything at all. And Kate's response was Brent's all quiet there. That is, can't, can't win. That is a classic. You're fucked if you do, you're fucked if you don't. I disagree with their option. I understand that if you're a sensitive man and your, ⁓ your ego can be hurt that maybe you want to project. Yeah. I mean, that's, I get that. That doesn't apply in this situation. There's a third option. It's like you either repeat what she said, except man. Don't say anything. Yeah. Or Say something super cool and super amazing and different is like the third option. That's what we got to get. We got to get. Or you could have just said like, ⁓ Kate, you're not dumb. You shouldn't be embarrassed about something that I do all the time. Let's let's let's push back on that. I think it was that episode or the episode before that where I responded with Kate is one of the smartest people I know. And you responded with, ⁓ Brent. Remember that day? Remember that episode? I gave you a bunch of compliments. Yes, right. It feels good. That doesn't mean you you have to stop or that you shouldn't. Oh, I won't. I won't. Haven't stopped in. Well, how long have we known each other? 13 years too long. Also, Britt said it's my turn to speak about what happened this week, and I thought that was really funny last episode. I mean, I mean, sometimes. And then Last thing I'll say is I already feel better. I got onto this recording talking about how I witnessed a shooting and I'm not gonna get into that I witnessed a shooting, but I did witness a shooting and guys, not the vibe. It is not good. America is dying. Please help me. Please help us. Right after the shooting, I was like, Immediately, because like my trauma response is to then like go into planning mode and like, how can I keep myself safe and all of the shit? And I was like, okay, like, Kate, you really need to message Brent personally and Nate personally and start working on getting job offers in Alberta and Nova Scotia. Send you some information on like how your credentials can transfer in the different courses you need to do. Exactly. I also witnessed a shooting, a much more dangerous shooting. And I did the same thing to where I was going to email and text Nate and Kate about my credentials. Just joking. That was a little play on me man's playing games. I was like, what? You said it like Trump, a much more violent shooting. I saw the most violent shooting. Some days most violent shooting there was. Anyway, that's what's been happening. That's what's happened. It's a lot. And that's what happened. Yeah, I'm doing good. Slight setback on the weekend with Footwise, but other than that, never been smarter. Just it's getting to the point now. I started Wirtle. Oh, no. Yeah, I started doing Wirtle on five and six. That's excellent numbers for, you know, for averages. Here's a little shocking thing. I finished that book, Kate. It was a great ending, like you said. I started a new book. No, no, I didn't either. No, shocked. Brett and I were referring to the book Secrets of Secrets. And now both of you know the secret of secrets and I don't. And I feel a little bit like I want to know what the secret of secrets is. We're not telling you. You have to put the work in. ⁓ no. Yeah, I'm not asking. I'm not asking. I'm kind of a can't handle it. I'm kind of a damn brown myself. You know, I like to get to the bottom of it. He likes to figure it out himself. So I just I finished books. Why to start? So me being the smartest I've ever been. I'm now reading an Italian book set in 1397. Is it an Italian? It was. Is it in the name of the Rose by Umberto Eco? You witch. How did you know that? That's one book that Nate knows that is written back then. It's the one. Okay, tell me about this book. I ⁓ almost peed a little bit when you said it. I'm so proud of myself, ⁓ man. I'm so proud of myself. Are you going to tell us how you knew? Okay, this was my logic train. You're reading Dan Brown. It's about the Catholic Church and one of the Most so church, I'm like in my head, he's in a church mode. You said the 1300s, I'm like, that's monastery like times. I'm like church, monastery, mystery. I only know one book that is going to equal all of these things and is also really famous. And then I said the name and then it was the right name. So it wasn't written in the 1300s. It takes place then. OK. And what's the name of this book again? The name of the Rose. The name of the rose. And it's a whole bunch of dudes. It's a murder at the monastery. It's a great film as well starring Sean Connery. And F. Murray Abraham. Little Amadeus vibes. And Christian Slater for some reason. Are you reading it or watching it? I'm reading it, but I'm going to watch the movie afterwards because that's exciting. Yeah, I like to do that too. So, yeah, I can slater. I I just love saying the fact that I'm reading a book that set in the thirteen hundreds. You know what mean? Doesn't it feel good to be? Oh, it makes me feel like I'm better than so many people. It's so good. Like, get it. I whatever it takes. Whatever it takes. Yeah. Listen, I was kind of like let down a little bit when they guessed it. because I was like, oh, this is mainstream then. I'm like a poser, but it's pretty is one of the most interesting men in the world. And you're one of the most smartest people in the world too. No I'm not. So to impress you two, I'm very happy. Okay, so let's go from that to there. I was cleaning and the dogs were barking the other day. I looked at the window, there was an ambulance right across the street, directly next door, ambulance. I was like, ooh. Wow. That's interesting. So while my brain started thinking I could kind of be extra reckless today because one of the odds of two ambulances back to back same day on the street, two houses from each other. Right. I want to know the. I didn't. I didn't get. OK. I didn't get reckless. I didn't get reckless. ⁓ Later that evening, Melissa sends me a picture. There's an ambulance on our street. Triple? evening. Third ambulance? Two. No, that was the second one. So my logic was, thank God it wasn't reckless because the logic was there's no way there's gonna be two ambulances on my street the same day. But it did allow me to say there's no way there's gonna be three ambulances. Luckily it was midnight and I couldn't get myself in damn much trouble. you go to bed? I was in bed listening to the Bible, which is a good segue to my next point. Bible's getting good, man. This is the real shit. Where are we at? Um, deep. Ah, okay. Here, I'm at, which was very exciting because it came in at nowhere, the David and Goliath situation. Big story. I wasn't expecting it. So God, so the point is, God lets us, lets no kings of Israel, let's figure it out yourselves. You have all the tools I give you, take these tools and do it correctly. No one's doing it correctly. God's like, fuck man, Jesus. Moses is long gone, he's dead. Can't take his ass anymore. So he gets Samuel to tell him, said, get that tall guy to be the king. And there's a tall guy named Saul. So better call Saul to get him, make him king. He's doing a great job, bang up job. Listen, God's talking to him directly through, and then he's like, you know what? You got to go kill these immaculates, kill them all. kill all their families, wives, children, babies, kill all their goats, donkeys, cows, everything. Don't leave anything alive. So Saul's no problem. God does it, kills everything. But he says, hey boys, take a little bit of the ox and the cow and let's cook it up. Let's offer it to the Lord and then we'll eat it. Yeah, so God didn't like that. No, you sent power away. Specific directions. Yeah, very. And God is not only messy, but petty and will fucking he doesn't play around. So he said to Samuel, he's out. Saul's gone. I want the short guy that no one likes David. My power is going through him. So Saul and David and all of them, they go to fight this war against the Philistines. Goliath starts puffing his chest out in the valley. They're on two mountains and there's a valley between them. Goliath is puffing his chest out. So I look up how big he was. He was either 6'9 or 9'9. Pretty big either way. So he's puffing out saying, no one can defeat me. I'm the best. I'm the best fighter. I got all this bronze armor. It weighs a ton. I got a big fucking sword. Send your best fighter. I'll kill him and then you guys have to join us. And if you guys kill us, we'll join you. Saul's shaking in his boots. He knows he doesn't have the power of the Lord. David pipes up and is like, I'll do it. And Saul's like, okay, perfect. So David comes down, he grabs five rocks out of the river, smooth ones. Takes, his first one in his little sling, whips it at Goliath. Bang, right in the forehead, one shot kill, face down in the dirt dead. It was fucking one shot deal. Goliath was all bark, no bite, not a big dog as Kate would know. You got to back up your bark. you're going to if you're going to bark, you got to back up. didn't even have a helmet on. Goliath didn't have it. Didn't have it. And the thing about David was so cocky was Saul's like, OK, you want to fight him here? Here's all my gear. Put it on. Like so you have protection. And then David's like walking around in the gear. He's like, this doesn't feel right. Take it off. I don't need it. He wanted to solo Goliath. He needed to be Legolas. He needed to go quick. Run. Yes. Full dexterity. Didn't fuck around with him. He's like, I'm if I can't get close on this guy, this guy's reach advantage is way better than mine. I can't get close. I have to hit him with a rock from far away. So TBI killed him, Goliath. I didn't die for my TBI, so better than Goliath. A little bit. So we go. move forward now to the part where I'm at. wasn't like that anymore. Saul's like, everyone loves this David guy. Let's fucking kill him. Jealous. But can't. Can't get at him. Can't fucking every time he gets close, can't get at him. like saw such a piece of shit that saw son is helping David, given the private info of where Saul is going to be so he can set up a booby trap. A titty trap? Multiple traps. So Saul just fell on his own sword because the people he told one of his servants to do it and the service is like, no. And Saul fell on his own sword, killed himself. So Saul killed himself because he could not. So does then David become King David? Is this that David? That's the that's the lineage. didn't know that was the origin story. How interesting. It's uh listen it's must see TV. NBC Thursday night is what it is. You cannot miss an episode of the Bible every night. It is getting it sounds like it's getting more like adult drama. Like we started off it was sort of like just a straight up fantasy mid like you know we got spells we've got sticks turning into snakes. We've got running from the evil Pharaoh. And now it's becoming more of a like a house of cards situation where like Saul is trying to kill David and then yeah, it's yeah, it's definitely we're going through a progression here. You have to put up with the bad stuff to get to the good stuff. That's all good things in life come at a cost and you have to sit there and listen to how many shekels the offering plates going away and how to build a tabernacle and how to build build your holy vestments. You have to listen to all that bullshit to get to David picking out rocks to whip at Goliath. It's just so good. I can't wait. Is this impacting your religious beliefs at all? Well, I told my father I was reading the Bible and he was so excited for me. He's like, that's fantastic. That's great. And I told Melissa and Melissa's like, yeah, but you didn't tell him that you're reading it just for as like as a bit. and you're into it like a movie, he thinks that you're like taking God under your wing and being, I'm like, yeah, well, I'll explain that when time needs to be explained. If you have to, you know, let them specify. You're reading it. That's the that's a fact. Now, how the Lord works through the Bible is the Lord's business. We're literally spreading the word of God. We're actually, we actually literally are. atheist podcast. I didn't realize that. We're taking some offerings. that. We need that offering played out. So I decided, so Melissa posed the question, what is the angle? And I'm like, well, the angle is to finish the Old Testament. Then I get into the New Testament, which is basically just reality TV at this point. So I will get through that and then. I decided that once I'm through the Old and New Testament, I'm going to go to church. Okay. I'm going to listen to a service, one service, and then leave and see how I feel about it. Great. Can't hurt. I think that's a great experiment. I think I'm going to be unbearable at church. Like if I listen to, priest is not coming up with facts, straight fucking fire. I'm going look at it like I would have talked to this. Yeah. Other people like he's here. This shit. This guy's fucking crazy. So that's my plan is just to do that. They did reference God or Jesus in the New Testament. He's called the angel, the Lord. And that's where I'm at right now. And that's what happens. Wow. Jeremy, how come you're so dressed up? Where are going? As long as I look handsome today. That's I'm talking about. That's that's it. That's big dog move. Thank you Jeremy. you hear what he said? What did he say? He just wanted to look handsome today. Hell yeah. Hell yeah brother. That is a big dog move. He's got a dress shirt on, a fancy pair of pants with a belt, hair slicked back, freshly shaven, and he just wants to look handsome. You know what? God We could all learn something from that. we could all take a little lesson. Yeah, and he curled his mustache he said. I'm into it. Let's do the weekly report. We haven't spoken for a while, but I've been doing great as far as I had been exercising very effectively. I have a new approach, which is I've just been trying to be consistent and do some exercise every day. And it's been a long time, like almost three years. But I haven't really tried to be efficient at all. I'm just like, ⁓ I'll go and walk or I'll go and when I'm lifting weights, I'm like, sometimes I'll do for an hour and a half. It's not like I'm going crazy for an hour and half. I'm just like slowly lifting weights and taking a break. But lately I've been actually on purpose trying to do like exercises that are faster. I don't know how else to put it like. You can do a hundred squats and it's not as good as 50 split squats. Like that's basically how I would describe what I'm doing. I've been, you're optimizing your time. I have been trying to, like, I never thought about it like this before, but it is, it makes a lot of sense for what I'm trying to accomplish to get a workout done in like 45 minutes instead of an hour and a half or two hours. ⁓ and it also is just making me a lot stronger. Like I'm feeling Strong as fuck right now. Okay, let's go. It's spring. Amazing. Got spring air in the world. It's melting. I stepped on the grass and I went down. You know what I'm saying? Like in the winter you step on the grass, you stay exactly where you are. But I kind of went shhh. I went shlunk. I went shlunk under the grass a bit. Maybe that's why they're excavating, because you can now. That might be it. And then I've been... getting the upstairs of the house ready for Dale to move in at the end of the month. So I've been redoing the kitchen floor. We're painting the entire upstairs. Wow. And I like I painted so much over the weekend that I was having painting dreams. I was like in my dream, I was taping stuff and like getting taking doors off of things in order to paint. I'm like, ⁓ but I feel so good. ⁓ when I'm, I feel weirdly good when I have a project that's overwhelming. There's so much to try to accomplish between now and March 1st that it's like so daunting that the only choice is just to like keep doing stuff. There's no time to like stand there and be like, hmm, I wonder what the most effective way of doing this would be. It's just like, no, I just gotta paint this room and then move over to the next room and cut the edges on that one and then move over to the next room and take the shit off the wall and patch the holes and you're just like. I feel great. Have you been formally diagnosed with ADHD? No. OK. But, you know, as I say these things out loud. you want to hear? with ADHD love the pressure, love a huge time project like you have an end date where this shit has to be done. That's when you're and it's like it's so satisfying at each step like you. The painting in the living room was really hard because the wall is one color and then the roof is... ceiling? The ceiling has like a foot of the same color and then it turns into that like crackly ceiling. It's like someone did a... It must have been very hard. Whoever did it did a great job. But it means if you paint the wall, you cannot get any paint on the ceiling or it'll just absolutely show up. So I'm just like on a ladder. with a little paintbrush, like going like this, a line all across the top of the roof to get a perfect line. And then when you finish that, it takes like hours. But when you look at it, it's like, wow, look at what I did. Look at what I made. Like it's so satisfying. And immediate. I hope Dale appreciates your hard work. Dale came and helped this weekend. Can I say something about that? I heard a professional host painter say that made me upset. Love to. It was so cocky. It was so Because you don't use tape. If you use tape, you're a professional. Yeah, that and that's what it was discussed about. And his his quote was, Paint doesn't go anywhere. You don't put it. OK, he's right. OK, he's right. And I hate him for it. That's why I'm. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. It's I was like, get it. And you're an asshole. Also, we don't have 10,000 hours of painting, Mr. Painter. Yeah. Yeah. So we read Mr. Strokes. And to be honest, when I got up, Super close to the wall. I noticed even though the super professional paint job that looks super professional, I saw a couple little spots where it wasn't exactly. saw a little, let's just say I had to fix a few, maybe I'll just say like this, I had to fix a few spots that that guy missed. No big deal. Yeah. So that's gonna be my like whole month is just trying to accomplish as much at the house as I can and. Exercise and do this podcast. That's it. All of March is gonna disappear in like a flash. It'll just go away. Excellent ⁓ No, wait, no disappearing. No, I there's two important things I have to talk about still gotcha The first thing that I need to talk about is an advancement in dance that is a little bit dangerous but ooo dancement And advancement and dance. Yeah. So I think last time we had an episode, I was talking about how great how much I enjoyed the figure skaters and their their great figure skating. And, you know, it's just the Winter Olympics is the only time you ever think about figure skating. But it was on my mind. And I kind of had a moment where I realized, like, OK, I spin a lot. I do a lot of spins. But I I usually or I have always. kept at least one foot on the ground while I spin, you you get up on the left and you let her go to air. But the figure skaters made me realize you don't have to remain terrestrial while you're spinning. Like you can start incorporating some verticality into those spins and axles. I got to say I have a very dramatic spin. That's ⁓ my jumping spins. Naturally, without any training, I get a little theatrical with them. My hands, you know, they're like, you jump and you spin and then your hands are like this and you just carry it forward. You get this, these big movements and these big, flowing movements. And I did injure myself three times doing this. I jumped into things. I landed on my leg. Funny. It's a very dangerous sport. It's very you're getting used to it. You're getting yeah, but yeah a picture of Mary Cascon Gallagher picture, you know, ⁓ christy amaguchi. She's gonna fall a few times as she's learning or she's learning a new skill. Yeah, she's gonna fall down learning a new skill We can't quite get one full rotation in the jump. We can get about ⁓ I can't believe that you can't get back to where your feet were pointing the same direction. I think In my room, I'm too scared to really let it out because I'm going to fall into the treadmill or fall into the drum set or fall into the record player. So I'm like, there's still some hesitation. I think once I get out on the grass into the open air, once I get sort of a more free range jumping going, I think I'll probably get one and a half. I get you. You need a dance studio. You need more space for yourself. You need a mirror. You need space. I have been thinking about taking. Adult dance class I might I might do an adult dance guys cuz I want to get in front of a mirror I want to get in front of a mirror and I wanna get praised by a dance teacher. Yeah I have I've been having fantasies about being praised by a dance teacher for my movements Well, that's yeah fetish ⁓ to sexualize. That's right. Brand validation for content wise, it helps. Let's talk more about boobs. I do have that dance teacher boobs. See, I was imagining more like like very like a ballet mate maven. Like she's like she used to be a ballerina. Now she's dressed in all black. She's wearing one of those French hats, a beret. She's very, very skinny. probably she probably all backstory. Yeah, she probably like what's her age? seven. She could be anywhere from 60 to 80, but it's very hard to tell because of she's, you know, well dressed and stuff. And she's hard to impress. This isn't a teacher who's giving a lot of praise. It's more like she's giving no praise. And then she goes, well done. And I go, that's from her. From her. You know what she says also, Nate? She says, I see that you have a lot of natural talent. Yeah, I want to hear that because I feel like I maybe do. Yes, of course you do. My last ⁓ weekly report is something that is going to put Kate in a really good mood. Like it's going to change the rest of her day, I believe, in my heart. I might start crying if that's real. ⁓ I was watching an interview with Benjamin Affleck, famous actor Benjamin Affleck that we all know. think Kansas, Missouri guy. Is he a Missouri guy? No, he's Massachusetts. Oh yeah, you're right. Masshole. right. get that. I get to claim Brad Pitt. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. And he was he must be preparing for a role or maybe he's just just living his life. But he was he had a very full beard. He had a very full beard. And I could not help myself immediately. I said. And Affleck's got kind of Nick vibes right now. I'm getting real Nick vibes from this Ben Affleck character. ⁓ Kate's kind of just made Kate's kind of dating Ben Affleck. If you think about it, I would rather die than than date Ben Affleck. But my beloved just got a full on boner. Yeah, because you said that. Yeah. Yeah. So I have tried to tell him that before and he can't receive it because Ben Affleck to him. It was immediate. Yeah. That is that will that will stay with me and I will wait. I can't tell him this. He has to hear this naturally. Yeah. Yeah. Because. ⁓ yeah. Yeah. I'm I'm excited for him. He needs to be on his car because he drives an hour to get to work and he listens and and I just want to say, Nick, I have told you so. Yep. Kate was right. Kate was right. Let's be real. Because Nick is one of those guys that doesn't he don't know he beautiful. It's kind of what it's part of why you like about him. doesn't even realize it. Such a good T-shirt. That's such a good T-shirt. You don't know. know, she don't know she beautiful. He don't know. He beautiful. You don't know. You beautiful. I to a T-shirt. I would wear that T-shirt like every Thursday and Friday. You don't know. You're beautiful. I can't wait. We need a T-shirt people. Is that it? That's the weekly report. Thank you for the. Well, speaking of just handsome leading men. Yeah. We have another one to talk about because it's my movie for my month. My month is movie villains. You got to pick them. We got to watch them. And I picked James Bond, Casino Royale. Kate. Let us have it. I'll do my best. I watched this over a week ago. And so we got James Bond and he is 007, which means that he's a very special spy for the British people. something happens and there's a guy who's a, he's a financier for terrorists. And so they're like, we got to get this guy cause he's given all the money to the terrorists. And the only way. to control him or something is through a very fancy, very fancy casino Royale, a poker game. What the fuck are they playing poker? Thank you. so on the way to the poker game, the the treasure, like the person from the British Treasury is a very beautiful woman and she has the money. And so they go to this poker game and. 007 is almost murdered because he was poisoned and there's lots of action. And then there's an American and he is helping the British, but then he turns out to be working for the bad guy. And then James Bond is captured and tortured by getting his penis and balls. smacked several times by Mads Mikkelsen, who is the terrorist funder, right? Is he the terrorist funder? is he? I don't know. Well, he's the bet. Yeah. Well, yeah, he lost all the money. He lost all the money. You guys know the ending double o seven. And then he ends up killing the real bad guy at the end. she had the woman. Yeah, the woman's bad lady trick. Yeah. woman is bad. I forgot all about that. Yeah. She was a dog. That's yeah. Fuck her. I didn't like her from the get go. Yeah. He drowned in an elevator elevator. Well, we're talking about all these parts. Let's make it official. Let's talk about all our favorite. Let's talk about our favorite parts. I'll start off with the agent at the snake fight. When James Bond is in Africa gonna kill the guy, the bomber, and he's working with that agent that's down on ground level. he is the Mr. Bean of agents. I can't believe he it that long. If you're touching your ear as an agent, that's day one. Literally day one, they tell you not to do this at spy school. I'm ⁓ that's what... They do a drill where they slap your hand away. I was so upset. I'm like, stop touching your ear. James Bond, deserves all the patience that he has to put up with Mr. Bean. That was, I want to get that out of the hump right away. ⁓ I haven't watched this movie in quite a while, years. And it was great fun to watch. And I especially was thinking back to watching it for the first time. Because you have to remember, this is like the reboot. It's like we the last time we saw James Bond, it was Pierce Brosnan at the end of like those first Pierce Brosnan ones are pretty fun. then by the end, they get pretty goofy. This movie like fucking starts. It's like James Bond assassinates a guy in black and white, and you see him like smashing dudes into sinks and like that intense scene. And then right after that, they do that climbing fight. Which is what really so cool. It's so cool. Like it's the movies, you know, like this is this only happens when you have a gigantic ass movie like this where they'll they'll put think of how much time and effort and everybody who's involved in making that crane fight happen is so talented. stunt guys, the people filming it, the say like everything about it takes so much effort to do that. And it's like. It made me like love the movies a bit. I'm like, they can make this AI. would be the most boring ass shit in the world. The fact that they actually did it in real life is so exciting and so cool. And it makes you feel a way that will never make you feel that way with computer images. Because you know, it's a computer. Like there's no feeling attached to it. Yeah. The weight, like when the guy jumps from the crane down onto the other building, it's like you see him jump. You see him hit that building and the dust fly up and like and him like land into his knees. Like he really fucking did it. Some crazy stunt guy jumped from that fucking crane onto that building. Like they really did it. Hell yeah. All bad guys are sweaty. I wrote down sweaty. One of my notes is just the word sweaty because everyone's so sweaty. And I get it. That must be. Like I'm not in these situations. I can imagine if I was, I would be sweating. Like you're in, you're usually in tropical locations, rich places, islands, hot places, Africa, stuff like that. And you're under an insane amount of pressure at all times. That's why you're sweaty. You're right. Kate. I liked how James Bond explained to his love interests. He ended up falling in love with her, which I thought Whatever. Like, I guess he has to fall in love. a young agent. He hasn't learned yet. He hasn't learned you never fall in love. Why are you falling love with this person anyway? And he was like, I forget. It was just like, can't like I just I'm compartmentalized. I can't give my heart away. That's an excellent. First of all, it's an excellent. Really good. Yeah. Like Daniel Craig watch show because. And then, of course, the woman is a traitor. ⁓ I know these movies are for the people that like these movies, but I describe this to myself as ⁓ this movie is pornography for the patriarchy. this is it. I it'd be impossible to disagree with you because everything about it is like, aren't men cool? Like when you let men do whatever the fuck they want, don't they do some cool shit? They in their hearts and the women hurt them. You can never trust anyone. Yeah, like chasing down a bomb maker in Africa is awesome when you don't got a broad telling you how dangerous exactly. No one yapping in your ear, except actually a lady who's yapping is you're like, but don't do that. Stop it. You've got to stop doing that. Yeah, Kate, first of all, love your new phone case, by the way. That's great. Thank you. You're welcome. Second of all, themed. My other one was winter themed. This is... ⁓ see, we're just, keeping up with the seasons here on North American Friends movie club. ⁓ To pound home Kate's point about pornography for the patriarch is, if you're watching the scene where he's chasing the bomb maker around, the bomb maker runs through the van because it has both doors are open on the van. The bomb maker runs through it and James Bond runs around it. Who is in the right? What does right mean? Cool. Oh, running through it. Going through it is cooler. I don't know. don't know what this door closes. so much conus. That's a big dog move. It's a big dog move to run through. Big big dog. It's a lot of risk. road. And you know what, Brent, I'm going to say again, this is, you know, 007, he's a brand new 007. I think a later 007 goes through the van too. like, he takes that. This is out there. It's a big dog fucking move. You're right. And I I'm mad at myself that I even question these things when you guys obviously know the answer. No, it's right. No, it's right. I should as I consider myself a big dog sometimes and I should know that that's the big dog move. I'm sitting here thinking, what if someone closes the door? You're not built for this shit. If you think it like that. Yeah. Fuck. Fuck. Well, no, you're growing in your big dogness. Medium dog. Right. I we've realized that. If it's a large risk with a large reward, that is the big dog move. You're right. Like using a vodka and a cheap jello. And then it not work. Yeah, but it was a big job. What the flavor is. It was still a big dog move for sure. For sure. All right. That's a good callback. ⁓ I loved M's bedside spy station that she had. ⁓ yeah. I would want one of those just to be nosy, just to be nosy. What's going on? Like, let me hit the bedside spy station. Let's talk about doom scrolling on your phone. Wow. Wow. Couldn't imagine being woken up by my spy station. What's my ex husband doing right now? also decided that if I was a special agent or a villain, I guess, or anybody that's scared to be carjacked or whatever. I would wear razor gloves at all times. does this mean? It's just gloves with razor blades on them. So when someone's trying to anywhere, glue them all around, all over the place. So if anybody's trying to fight you or grab at you, you just throw a hand up and they cut their hands. There's a scene where he's fighting somebody and I think he's in the car and he's trying to fight them off the car. Razor gloves solves all that problem. You're driving. They have no effect on your driving. If something does pop off, you have the razor gloves as your advantage. Here's the thing. If I were razor gloves, I would be cutting my ass on that. Immediately what I thought. I'm like scratching my face, scratching my shit. Oh, trust me. Yes. I be fucked. would look like a fucking porcupine attack. I get it. But you get used to that. You get used to razor gloves. You start with one razor on the glove and work your way up. Everything's... You have multiple infections. Multiple skin infections. many of those tiny band-aids all over you. You just keep a bacterial ointment in your pocket at all times. Tim Horton says ban you from the drive thru because you keep on cutting. keep poking the cup. And it's pinkie blinders. They keep them in their hats, right? Yeah. Well, that's where my more appropriate spot. feel like your hands like a hat, maybe ⁓ in your shoe. Maybe I'd start off with a shoe razor. That was from the movie Roadhouse Left Boot. Got a knife in the boot. I had a razor in his left. But I think raised love sends a message. It certainly does. Certainly does. That ends up being your nickname, though. Like your razor gloves. That's your nickname. Listen, I was they called me molasses in junior high. I would much rather be called razor gloves than molasses. Why you molasses? ⁓ it's a long story. ended up. Were you very slow because of your true genes? Yes, I know. I inadvertently ended up competing in the track and field competition. I went as a scorekeeper and one school didn't show up, so I had to represent that school. I finished last in every event. Molasses Murray. No, not when you're a young boy in puberty. That's fair. timing. I mean, what else do you want in a movie? There's not a lot to break down. But I mean, the whole poker scene, you have all the cast of characters there. You have the Japanese guy. You have the big guy in his pajamas. You have another American FBI agent. have all profiles. Exactly. One guy's bleeding out of his eye. We the lady, the one lady. Not a single word spoken. No, there's the you have all you have all the cast of characters there. It's perfect. James Bond invents a drink on the spot and they all want it, which and my favorite line is that sounds good. Hold the fruit with mine. Love that. That guy knows you, Tom Bill. I'm just trying to think of any other fucking notes. have some Richard Bronson cameo and he made them do that for him. He let them use the Virgin airline planes if he could be in the movie. And so there's a Richard Bronson cameo when they're Miami. That's smart rich guy stuff. Would you guys do that? 100%. I would never. I'd be in so many movies. If I was giving you money, I get to be in your fucking movie. Yeah. Like a would be in so many movies. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. There's Brent in the background. Dumb and Dumber Three. There's Brent in the background. Fucking Amadeus Two. There's Brent playing the piano. There's a lot of movies I'd be in. Amadeus, too. Sounds great. Mozart's funeral. Little Mozart spread his seed around Vienna. You don't know. You guys know I don't love action, but I will say I really did like the scene where the plane is taking off so quickly and the the vertices, the vortex of of air is so giant that it the cop car flies like a paper airplane. It's really cool. Yeah, Bob knew that was going to happen. I think that's the scene where I thought the razor gloves would come in hot common. Yeah, that is the scene. They're fighting inside the truck. If he had razor gloves on that guy. No drama. Yeah, no drama at all. It's over. 007 takes the bomb off the truck. It puts it on the guy's waist. Yeah, that was really cool. Like, come on. It was a really good one. Plastic two birds, one stone. That's a big dog. Do we think 007 is he a big dog now? Is he always a big dog? Is he growing into big dogness? No, like he's always a big dog. He big dog. Everybody. He didn't run through the van. Yeah, I think he's almost I think he's close. He's like, this is the movie where he became the big dog. You know what? He died a medium dog. And when he got shocked back to life, he returned as a big dog. That's it. Yeah, that's it. He did die. Yeah, he died. Talk about it. He comes back as such a big dog that when Mads Mikkelsen is beaten his penis and testicles with a rope, he's like Joe, he's joking. He's like a little to the left. Like that's some big dog shit. Like big dog moves to make jokes while your genitals are being mutilated. Yeah. And my last note is I feel bad for Mad Mikkelsen character of this movie, because possibly the worst thing that can happen when you get upset is your eye starts to bleed. It's. That's a big tell. Like, that is not a big dog move. no, you know, like if I'm against him, I know I'm getting under his skin because his fucking eyes bleeding. I'm like, well, you didn't like that last joke. It bothered you. He's like, ⁓ no, I liked it. thought it was funny. Blood, blood, blood. Yeah. His eyes dripping blood. ⁓ OK, let's do the Casino Royale seven. The double ⁓ seven. Fuck, it was right there and I screwed it up. That was good, Nate. Ready for the quiz? Ready? Yes. First question. One of my favorite scenes is for some reason the lady is taking a horse down to the beach. Just and bond. I've seen it. I didn't even know you could. I had no idea you could. didn't know horses were allowed on a beach. How many kids were chasing the horse? Was it two, three, four or five? Who goes first? Nate. Three children. Three kids were chasing that horse. were, they wanted just, of course you would chase been chasing it too. If a beautiful woman in a bikini was riding down the beach on a horse and I was a small child, would chase her right now. I would chase her as a 44 year old woman. It would be three kids and a 43 year old man with a limp chasing after her. Chris Cornell wrote the title song for this song, or for this movie, which actually slaps. No, but we'll get there. OK, well, what's Chris Cornell's other band that I make up? Sorry, I worded that wrong. I'm going to name his three other bands and one that I made up. OK, because we all know he's the singer from Soundgarden, correct? Everyone knew that. knew that he was like the singer from like one of the 90s bands. I wouldn't have been able to pull Soundgarden, but I knew that he was like, I'm 90s. Well, let's have a little respect for the. the dead and the departed. I'm sorry. Rumored that he was killed, he committed suicide. But it was rumored that he was killed as he was working on the Epstein documentary. What band did I make up? Audioslave, MACC, Temple of the Dog or Towerborn? Kate is first. I know. Towerborn. Yeah, I'm guessing Towerborn. I made up the band Towerborn. Yes. It was an audio slave. M.A.C.C. Yeah, I had never heard of M.A.C.C. But I heard of the other two audio slave and Temple the dog. We talked about the scene where the snake that was a big snake. community college, by the way. Metropolitan Area Community College M.A.C.C. Is that the name of his band? M.A.C.C. So his band is Metropolitan Area Community College. Well, it stands for their initials of their last names, everybody that's in the band. Sure. Yeah. Clever, clever. Speaking of secret spies. there was a snake fight. What animal was the snake fighting? That's a good question. Was it a honey badger or mergue or mermot or mongoose? Damn, it's one of two things. Okay. I'm going to say mongoose. I want it to be a honey badger. I'm going to say the second one, the margay. Anybody that knows a good fight knows that if you've got a snake, you're putting it up against a mongoose. Yes. They're natural enemies. They fucking hate each other. Marmot was a good ad because I'm like it could have been it had a marmot like vibe. I'm like it could have been a marmot. I picked the French marmot. Bonjour. There's multiple scenes where James Bond is having caviar with his meal because that's what James Bond does. What caviar did I make up? Did I make up Grutter, Kaluga, Paddlefish, Cackleback? One of those does not produce caviar. Kaluga. Yeah, that's what I'm guessing too. Well, you we can tell that you guys don't partake in the treat of caviar very often because Kaluga is very popular. The one I made up was Gruder. I thought it was Beluga. Me too. It is, but things are allowed to be similar in life. Wow, there's Beluga caviar and Kaluga caviar. What's next? Deluga caviar, right guys? Gone forever. Yeah, you just showed that you're a poser. am. Mom is going to get herself some. When it comes to caviar. am. Mom is getting some hackleback this summer. I'm bringing hackleback. Back. You know those eggs don't know how to hatch. ⁓ that's good Brent. See how talented you are. See if we just riff off each other. We have a successful podcast. What a show. What a podcast. What a show. He checks his bag at the airport. The bag guy initially, ⁓ whose wife he slept with. Remember that guy? James Bond slept with some guy's wife. ⁓ got his name and the guy flew to Miami. He checked his bag. What was the bag check number he had? Was it 50, 51, 52 or 53? 51. was going to say 51 as well. Well, you guys were both going to say the wrong answer because it was number 53. That's this back check number gone forever. OK, we need a score update. And how many questions are left? Two. And the score is I have three and you guys have two. And there's two questions left. That's correct. OK, let's go. At the start of the poker game, are to input a password into a machine so you can get the money wired to you. The keypad of course is colored because that's what cool spy movies have. What color was the keypad light? Was it blue, green, red or yellow? What color did the keypad light up? I want it to be blue. Very good question, because it could be blue, green or red. I'm taking yellow right out of the equation. don't even. That to me is disgusting. OK. When I think of 2000s movies and technology, I I feel blue. think that was the big technological upgrade. 90s is green. 2000s is blue. I'm going to say it's blue. It was blue lighting. Well, we have a tie game for the bad guy. You're wrong. It's Gone forever. Damn. If you're in a bad man game of poker, right? Or so you're going to bad guys and it's worse. They're going to Yeah. Oh, blue would be for the good guys. all right. So I have to get this correct and we'll have a three way tie. That's correct. That's correct. ⁓ they are taking this movie takes place in Prague, Czechoslovakia, where they speak Croatian, I think. what is Croatian for exit? Molim, Hvala, Pomek, Izlaz. They're exit signs. What did it write, light up as? Izlaz. The P one. ⁓ we have a winner. It's Nate. It was Islaz. Congratulations, the man knows his Croatian. Here we go. N, A, T, E, explanation point. Nailed it. Nailed it. She still did it. If you guys can see her face, what she did, but she just kept on going. She kept through it. That's a sign professional job. OK, big dog move. so embarrassing. It's like so embarrassing. And I don't want to take this. We're taking away from Nate's win. Nate. Yeah. Congratulations. Thank you. Yeah, you're Thank you so much. I give you both gold medals for friendship. Would you guys like to hand out some different medals? I'd like to hand out all the medals, baby. Let's put an Olympics up in here. Yep. Let's do it, baby. This is tough. I like a lot of the performances in this movie, actually. ⁓ But I'm gonna... I would like to give it to Jeffrey Wright just because I love him and I think he's a fantastic, amazing actor. But he is going to miss out in this one to Mads Mikkelsen, who is... Also amazing, great bad guy, ⁓ great vibe. He's a great Hannibal. He's also in the video game Death Stranding. He's kind of like your dad, maybe. I don't know. That story is so convoluted. I don't really. I'm not really. I think maybe he's the dad of the baby in the jar. I don't know. Whatever it is. Mads Mikkelsen's in that video game and he gets a bronze medal in this game. My bronze medal is going to. Katerina Moreno who is Solange the beautiful horse riding babe. She's just a beautiful lady. Gorgeous. And I'm glad that we had some babes. Yeah. wouldn't be a James Bond movie without the babes. My bronze is going to, I don't know how pronounce it, is it 80 or add or aid? He is the guy in the pajamas at the poker table. Doesn't have much of a role, but he's wearing still a That's a role. The vibe is very immaculate. I love this is what he did. He's a big guy and he knows clothes aren't that comfortable. So I'm going to wear I'm rich. I'm going to wear what I feel comfortable in. it. Love it. He was also the getaway driver in Snatch, which was very funny. ⁓ was it that guy? Was Infante in the movie? ⁓ my, my, Sounds like infant. And from pay her. He doesn't care. He's a he's a big French baby. His name is Baby. It's a pretty big dog. go. Yep. Silver medals. I'm going to give my silver medal to Daniel Craig. I'm giving it to Daniel Craig. It might be it might be a surprise. A of people might think Bond is the star of every movie, but I someone else is my star of this movie. But Daniel Craig is cool. In real life, he's interesting. He's so strong. I don't know if anybody wears a shirt like this guy. I literally halfway through the movie, said, this guy can wear a shirt. God damn, this guy can wear a shirt. Little tiny bathing suit. Does a lot of different bathing suit works in movies, but in this one, very small, almost hilariously small. I think it's appropriate. I think I read the cast. And crew gasped when he came out of the water. He looked that good. Yeah. I think I read that. So my goal now is like by 45, I'm trying to get I'm trying to get Daniel Craig out by the time I'm 45. So you'll get there five more years or muscles. yeah. Yep. My silver medal is going to Eva Green, who played Vesper, the love interest and spy. pretended to not be a spy. She is a good actress and I liked her. Okay, so my bronze, no, my silver medal is going to Mads Mikkelsen. Born name-wise and look-wise to be a villain. Looks like a villain. His eye would bleed when he got upset, which I loved. And his name is Le Chiffre, which is French for the digit or the number. And he was a banker. Yeah. I mean, that's classic bomb movie stuff. That's silver medal. He also has great hair. Oh, fantastic hair. Yeah, he's just a cool guy. his eye, his eye did a lot of good stuff. He's been married since the year 2000, so he's a he's into the monogamy. Good for him. And that character has been in three different movies. Le Chiffre? Yep. Oh, that would make sense for Bond, actually. ⁓ that makes sense. Gold medal. Peter Laurie, Orson Welles and Mads Mikkelsen. Orson Welles, which one is? Yeah, there's a Bond movie with Orson Welles. That's it's according to the Internet. How did I miss that? OK. Gold medal time. I'm giving my gold medal to Dame Judi Dench, one of the greatest actresses to ever step on stage or screen. ⁓ She's. She's the best person to ever play the role of ⁓ in all of the James Bond movies. She, I completely believe that she would be in charge of the spies. Like she's the only one who can handle these fucking renegade cowboys. They need ⁓ to be in there fucking keeping shit straight. And she's a stud. She's an absolute stud. Judy Dench, gold medal. My gold medal is going to sexy body himself, Daniel Craig. I think he should be celebrated for his hard work and dedication to keeping it tight. Yep. So gold medal. Sure. Gotta love, gotta love when someone's keeping it tight. some clothes. God damn. And he could not wear clothes. ⁓ yeah. He's my gold medal winner. I think he is. Second best Bond when it comes to look of Bond, but my favorite Bond when it comes to portrayal of Bond. ⁓ just classic. I mean, he dies and revive himself. What the hell? He gets a little bit of help, but I mean, still. And he is clever when he's getting whipped with rope and he, ⁓ he, he invented a drink. ⁓ what was the line he used to Avery Green? We wanted to name the new drink a Vespa because once he tastes it, it's all he wants to drink. Very good. I have a question. You said that he's your second best bond in terms of look of bond. Who is your number one bond? the P.B. All day. No, Sean Connery. Sean Connery. did you say? Old ass. He said Pierce Brosnan. Oh. You know what? I have a very special spot in my heart for the Pierce Brosnan bond. think people are rude a little bit about Pierce Brosnan bond. Because of its dated. It's a little goofy, but he is a very good bond. I'd have to think about that. I'd have to think. Roger Moore. Timothy Dalton more like Roger less. Yeah, I'll take a little less of that. I want less of that. Aaron Taylor. Aaron Taylor Johnson was supposed to take over. I don't know if you tell Aaron Taylor to save some names for the rest of us because you're not on there. But I give that joke a 10 out of 10. Do you guys want to give this review rating? 100 percent. Yes, I do. I do want to give a rating. The script for this movie, a reboot of Bond that saved the franchise. It's a great film. It's super fun. I love almost every element about it. The script for this movie is you cannot think about it too much or everything immediately unravels because Leshiv's plan is so fucking stupid. MI5 or MI6, I can't remember which one it is. MI6's plan is so shit. They're like, we're going to go and gamble with this guy to like use it as leverage from him. Like just arrest him. He's right there. You know where he is. Just like crash in there with a bunch of like special agents and like throw him into prison cell and be like, give us the code to your computer. Like it's very silly. But. I'm going to give it a 7.5. I'm going to give it a 7.5. Yeah, I've watched other action movies that I was more engaged in the plot than this one. And so I'm giving it a seven. Yeah, like Nate said, his plot was ridiculous. His evil plot is the same as what many people we know do with casinos every weekend. They try to win the money back that they lost by gambling. Not not great. And then your eye starts to Seven. It's also a little too long. Like the last bit of it, it's like I could have done without the whole last 20 minutes. I'm like, ah, I'm good. Yeah. But here's where we'll give it a very good score. The art direction for this movie, the sets, the props, the costumes, the way this movie is filmed. It's to me a 10 out of 10. I love a helicopter shot of a train passing through a valley and then a man in a. incredibly tailored suit stepping out of it with a beautiful woman. Like, yeah, that's a 10. Let's go. I can't give it a 10. I don't know why. I don't like the I think it's the female fashion. Early 2000s was not the time for me. So but it's getting one extra point because of the flying away of the car of the police car. it's getting really like that. I did. That was good. It was good as hell. Yeah. It was, yeah. think Mythbusters tried to replicate that. For me, it's a 10. Women on horses in the beach, great mongoose work, big guys in pajamas playing poker, nice little peel of lemon in the drink. like that. 10. All it takes to make me happy. The music for this movie, Aya Bond has always had. great music, even though they didn't, there is a Bond theme that they play in some Bond movies that I love. It's usually when it's like going to like a tropical location, they play this special little Bond song that they didn't play in this movie, which was a disappointment to me. And I think this is top three worst Bond songs at the beginning. mean, after this, get Skyfall, Adele. Are you fucking kidding me? Compared to Let the Sky Fall, Let it Crumble, it's not doing great. I'm going to give it a 7.5 because I like Bond music, but a couple misses. didn't like it at all. I'm giving it a 7. ⁓ Any time it goes, that's great. The very first song, Chris Cornell absolutely nails exactly what a Bond song should be. RIP to the legend. You nailed this one. 10. This is a spy thriller. It's got to be about spies and it's got to be thrilling. It was pretty thrilling when he almost had a heart attack and he had to like drink salt water and shock his heart back out. Thrilling. Very thrilling. Pretty thrilling when he had to steer the car out of the road to avoid running over the love, his love interest of Eva Green and he flipped the car over. That was pretty thrilling. And he is a very good spy, even though he's still working out on this one. I will give it a nine point. I'm giving it a nine. Too much of a good thing. Ice cream is delicious unless you put too much in your bowl. Too much thrilling things to happen in this movie. Could have cut a half hour out. Eight. Yeah. Okay. Too long. Yeah. At some point you just give up. It could have been a tight little baby and it would have been a better movie. Yeah. You just give up at some points. And then the theme for this month is Brent's theme. It's villainous villains in March. I think Le Chiffre is a great name. think Bleeding Out of Your Eye is a great bit. I think as far as villainy goes, he is a clown. He could barely be considered a villain. He's almost a henchman. know, he's so un... Yes, he's a secondary. He's a secondary villain, but blood out of the eye. That's that helps a lot. I'm giving him a seven point five as far as villainy goes. He's he's there. You can get a lot more villainous than this guy. I completely agree with Nate. And so I will be giving him the same score as Nate. I got I thought of he was much worse than what he was when I first saw this movie clown show clown shoes. Day one villain stuff. ⁓ You can't Have the blood in the eye thing. You got to fix that right away Not a great villain six six Would not be scared to hang out if someone told me we're going out tonight and we're taking the sheep with us fine Fine, I'll go. Yeah, we'll be fine What we do go to casino? We all enjoyed this in a Decent amount, but it only gets a 40.8. It only gets a 40.8. think that's the benchmark for Bond movies. Anything more you're putting the show on. great. ⁓ But you know what? was I was glad I watched it. I had a great time watching it and I probably will start working through the other Daniel Craig Bond movies like during my exercise in the next few weeks just for fun. Well, you need to have your image of what you want to work towards. Exactly. got to be, I got to like look at him and then look at my arm and look at his arm. Look at my man. Look, no, not quite there yet. Well, that helps with manifestation. If you can see what you want to get to and then see yourself moving into that, that's how manifestation works. So I encourage you to do that. You can get there. This is funny how it's okay to do that watching a bunch of Daniel Craig movies. But if you just put a or poster of a shirtless Daniel Craig in your house, it's weird. Yeah, it would be. It would change the vibe at least. don't think it's weird if it's in your like if it's in your workout area and that is what you're moving to. You know what I mean? It's like it's like bodybuilders have posters of bodybuilders on their walls. They do. Kate's right. You go to the gym. I think it'd be funny if I had like Daniel Craig, but then also like some guys from cartoons like it's like Goku from Dragon Ball Z and. Daniel Craig is fully clothed too. Yeah, it's him. It's him from knives out. I just have him from knives out. It's just the inspector. It's just the detective next to a Goku poster. So funny. We got to pick a movie for next week. I have a movie unless if you're ready, let's do you first. I think it's time. I think it's time. That we finally watch the movie we've talked about watching. And this is the perfect month for it. We're to watch seven. ⁓ good. Never saw. ⁓ never saw. ⁓ goodness gracious. This movie is crazy, dude. Seven starring Brad Pitt's Morgan. Do you want to know what I watch this movie? I've only watched this movie one time. And it was when I was like 10 years old, I got sent to. stay with my grandparents in the summer. And I realized that my grandpa wasn't checking what movies I was renting from the movie store. He was just like, I just picked them out and he just rented them for me. And once I realized that I just grabbed Pulp Fiction, Seven, Twelve Monkeys, like every movie that I wasn't allowed to watch, I just stacked them up and watched them at his house. And I remember watching Seven and just being like, this movie is crazy, dude. It is crazy. There is imagery in this movie. that I have never forgotten. Yeah, me too. I'm excited. is a dark film. This is the opposite of last month. This will make us all hate ourselves a little bit. Love it. It's going to be intense. very entertaining. David Finch. Fincher. Yep. It's a Finch. We got a little Finch Pinch going on next week. We're going to watch the movie Seven. And that means all that's left to do is say good night, Kate. Good night, Kate. Night kick. Somewhere in the city, You wanna come take a look at this? a madman is loose. He ever sells a house. inspired by the seven deadly sins. Gluttony, greed. I hate this city. You can expect five more. They know his motive. He's murdered every sermonist to us. They know his game. I've gone and done it again. Seven deadly sins. Seven ways to die. Have you ever seen anything like this? No. Seven. ⁓ Thank you for the compliment, Kate, that we're both extremely funny. Next time, feel free to throw in Handsome.
