- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Sophie Torber and coming up on today's show, a young
- 0:13Speaker 1: woman is claiming the husband of a well-known Aussie influencer
- 0:16Speaker 1: has impregnated her. Anna McAvoy calls Matt Sikowsky out for
- 0:21Speaker 1: not inviting her to his joint Bucks party and the
- 0:24Speaker 1: cookie pop-up labeled a scam. But first, twin sisters and influencers,
- 0:29Speaker 1: Bridget and Danielle Folong have shocked the internet After revealing
- 0:34Speaker 1: they share their underwear and only have one bra between them. Yeah,
- 0:38Speaker 1: so the 27-year-old influencers share over 725,000 followers on Instagram
- 0:45Speaker 1: and they were interviewed on the Gals on the Go
- 0:47Speaker 1: podcast when they made the shock confession. Let's have a
- 0:51Speaker 1: listen to what they said. We only have one bra.
- 0:57Speaker 2: We.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Okay. Oh, stop. Because we, and we share underwear. So
- 1:02Speaker 1: that's crazy. We share underwear. Like a shared drawer. Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 1: And we only have one bra because we don't wear bras.
- 1:08Speaker 1: But whenever we need a bra, we're like, wait, we're
- 1:10Speaker 1: fighting over it. Who has the bra? Well, right now
- 1:13Speaker 1: I'm wearing it. But this is a rare occasion. We
- 1:15Speaker 1: have two bras, but we share both of them. But
- 1:17Speaker 1: one's nude, one's black. So it's basically half and one. Yeah,
- 1:18Speaker 1: one's black, one's nude. And we share underwear. And I
- 1:21Speaker 1: just feel like, no, that is so niche. Like the
- 1:23Speaker 1: listeners are going to be like, you guys are weird
- 1:26Speaker 1: as f * * k. As a triplet, I kind
- 1:28Speaker 1: of get the sharing of underpants. Amy has told me
- 1:32Speaker 1: not to say this, but I kind of get it
- 1:34Speaker 1: because if you live together and you're doing the washing,
- 1:37Speaker 1: sometimes you might get confused about which pair's yours, but
- 1:40Speaker 1: what has stumped me is the fact that they share bras.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Like that is a surefire way to have a huge
- 1:46Speaker 1: argument because what if one day you're wearing a white
- 1:48Speaker 1: top or you're both wearing white tops and you want
- 1:51Speaker 1: the white bra? Like that's just pandemonium. Well, I actually
- 1:54Speaker 1: think it's more revolting to share underpants than it is
- 1:56Speaker 1: a bra.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:58Speaker 1: They get washed. Because like there's stuff going on. Like I, look,
- 2:02Speaker 1: when we were kids, we probably incidentally shared underpants because
- 2:06Speaker 1: whose parent is really separating their undies? But when we
- 2:08Speaker 1: moved in together- It was clear. These are my undies.
- 2:11Speaker 1: These are your undies. I'm opposite. Yeah, some of them
- 2:13Speaker 1: could have been mixed up. But I'm opposite. I'm pretty
- 2:16Speaker 1: chilled with this sort of stuff. I'm wearing your undies.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That doesn't disgust me. Like to be honest, I've got
- 2:20Speaker 1: a couple of pairs of Kate's underpants at my house
- 2:22Speaker 1: that somehow got intertwined when we moved and I just
- 2:24Speaker 1: wear them. I don't care. This is disgusting and I
- 2:27Speaker 1: just can sense some kind of Daily Mail article. Hopefully not.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Who cares? They get washed. It's funny because you just
- 2:33Speaker 1: mentioned about the white and the black bra because after
- 2:36Speaker 1: the girls made the confession on this podcast– one of
- 2:38Speaker 1: the hosts said, well, who's wearing the bra today? And
- 2:41Speaker 1: they said, well, actually, we both have a bra on.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So we have one black bra and one white bra,
- 2:47Speaker 1: but things do get heated if they need that one
- 2:49Speaker 1: colored bra. Yeah. Well, I can, that's just stupid. Like
- 2:52Speaker 1: just go and buy a bra each. And obviously well
- 2:55Speaker 1: off as well. They've got 725,000 followers. Maybe this was
- 2:58Speaker 1: a ploy to get some lingerie brands to send them
- 3:00Speaker 1: some underwear and bras. I mean, as if they haven't
- 3:03Speaker 1: had any already sending them stuff. I also think it's
- 3:05Speaker 1: because it's a new cool girl, young thing not to
- 3:08Speaker 1: wear bras anymore. Like I've heard on the grapevine that
- 3:11Speaker 1: small perky tits is apparently in fashion. I mean, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: don't know when it went out of fashion having perky tits,
- 3:16Speaker 1: but apparently everyone wants small tits. So we are in fashion, Amy. Yes. Well,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I did notice this because a lot of the mannequins
- 3:24Speaker 1: in the stores don't have bras on as well. How
- 3:26Speaker 1: old does that make me sound? But a lot of
- 3:28Speaker 1: people have had a lot of opinions on this online
- 3:31Speaker 1: and So there were twins who were weighing into the
- 3:33Speaker 1: comment section of the Now Viral podcast clip. One twin said,
- 3:38Speaker 1: my twin and I don't even hug, let alone share underwear. No,
- 3:42Speaker 1: straight to jail. Another one said, my twin and I
- 3:45Speaker 1: would first fight every day if we did this. Now
- 3:49Speaker 1: there were some other sisters defending the girl's decision and
- 3:52Speaker 1: they said, well, they have the same DNA. Well, another
- 3:55Speaker 1: twin said she and her sister also do this. Look,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I don't think it's weird. I actually do not think
- 4:01Speaker 1: it's weird at all. A 27 to share underpants? No,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I don't think it's weird because they probably live together.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It's probably very difficult. They're the same size. I mean,
- 4:09Speaker 1: it's quite a smart decision because you only have to
- 4:11Speaker 1: do one load of washing. Like I share a towel
- 4:13Speaker 1: with my partner. That's gross. I'm sorry, you're a grub.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And I'm concerned now. Do you have my underwear in
- 4:19Speaker 1: your house? No. I wouldn't fucking take your underwear. Your
- 4:24Speaker 1: old Bond shit. So if I said to you, Sophie, oh,
- 4:29Speaker 1: I don't know, like say you had to get changed
- 4:30Speaker 1: and I was like, here's a pair of my underpants.
- 4:32Speaker 1: You can wear them. Would you wear them? Depends what
- 4:35Speaker 1: type they were. See, I would not if you said
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'd rather fucking have no undies on. What's the difference
- 4:39Speaker 1: between socks? Intimate about sharing someone's underpants. I think it's weird. Now,
- 4:44Speaker 1: what I love about these girls is they have been
- 4:46Speaker 1: having fun with this. So they recently shared a TikTok
- 4:49Speaker 1: joking that they were finally moving away from each other
- 4:52Speaker 1: after living together their whole lives. And in the video,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the girls are seen fighting over the nude bra. I
- 5:00Speaker 1: wonder if they were caught off guard about this because,
- 5:02Speaker 1: you know, there's some like multiple like twin, triplet things
- 5:05Speaker 1: that you think are normal. Yeah. And then suddenly when
- 5:08Speaker 1: you repeat it to another person, you're like, oh, fuck,
- 5:10Speaker 1: this is actually quite weird. No, I think they were
- 5:12Speaker 1: aware that they were going to cop shit over this.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We're going to put something up on our Instagram and
- 5:16Speaker 1: in our Facebook community. Any twins, triplets, sisters, reach out.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Do you share the same underpants and is it weird?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Who's paying $ 17. 50 for a stale fucking cookie? Not me.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Australian fans of US cookie giant Crumble thought they were
- 5:32Speaker 1: in for a sweet treat when news broke on social
- 5:35Speaker 1: media that a pop-up shop selling the popular cookies was
- 5:38Speaker 1: coming to North Bondi. However, fans have labelled the pop-up
- 5:42Speaker 1: store as a scam and accused the organisers of selling
- 5:45Speaker 1: stale cookies. Amy, I need to know more about this. Yeah, well,
- 5:49Speaker 1: a lot of people on TikTok are currently saying that
- 5:52Speaker 1: this is their Roman empire. So hundreds of people lined
- 5:56Speaker 1: up to get their hands on the popular cookies after
- 5:59Speaker 1: seeing promotions all over Instagram and Facebook from an account
- 6:02Speaker 1: called Crumble Sydney. Now, for those who haven't heard of Crumble,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it is a US-owned store which started in 2017 and
- 6:10Speaker 1: it is spread across the US and Canada. There are
- 6:13Speaker 1: currently no Crumble stores in Australia. So this is why
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot of people got excited when they heard about
- 6:18Speaker 1: the pop-up store. And what has sparked a lot of anger, firstly,
- 6:23Speaker 1: is the price of the cookies. A crumble cookie in
- 6:26Speaker 1: the US will set you back around five US dollars,
- 6:29Speaker 1: which is the equivalent of seven Australian dollars. However, when
- 6:33Speaker 1: people arrived at this pop-up store, they were being charged
- 6:38Speaker 1: $ 17. 50 per cookie. Like firstly, who has $ 17. 50 in this
- 6:42Speaker 1: cost of living crisis to spend on a cookie? That
- 6:44Speaker 1: is extortionate. I'm sorry, that is absolutely taking the piss
- 6:47Speaker 1: and taking advantage of people. Well, you could get a
- 6:50Speaker 1: box of five cookies for $ 45. That's still $ 45. fucking crazy.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And they were also selling crumble cookie cutters for a
- 6:56Speaker 1: whopping $ 75 each. For one cookie cutter? Yeah. Oh, fuck.
- 7:01Speaker 1: What's the shape of the cookie cutter? What, a circle? Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Nothing that remarkable. And a lot of the people in
- 7:07Speaker 1: this line were actually TikTokers because people were wanting to
- 7:10Speaker 1: do a lot of the taste test videos. So I
- 7:13Speaker 1: saw one woman on TikTok who had bought 10 cookies
- 7:16Speaker 1: costing $ 175. Wow. Now the shit really hit the fan
- 7:21Speaker 1: after the pop-up when dozens of disappointed customers hit out
- 7:25Speaker 1: at the organizers on social media and they started to
- 7:27Speaker 1: complain that the cookies tasted stale and it became evident
- 7:32Speaker 1: that the event was not a real crumble pop-up and
- 7:36Speaker 1: unhappy customers started labeling the organizers as deceptive and dishonest.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Now can you believe that it has actually come out
- 7:44Speaker 1: that the event was organized by some randoms who basically
- 7:48Speaker 1: just flew to the US, bought a thousand crumble cookies
- 7:52Speaker 1: over there and flew them back. Like that is the reality. Wait,
- 7:57Speaker 1: so how did they fly them all back though? Like
- 7:59Speaker 1: what they brought over so many suitcases or sent them.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I mean, no one of these things was stale. They
- 8:04Speaker 1: probably tasted like rocks. I know. So everything basically began
- 8:08Speaker 1: unraveling online. And that's when the organizers shut down their
- 8:12Speaker 1: Instagram page And they started removing all of their posts
- 8:15Speaker 1: on TikTok and they tried to distance themselves from this firestorm.
- 8:19Speaker 1: So the backlash prompted the organizers to finally release a statement,
- 8:24Speaker 1: which is linked on their TikTok account. And it's funny
- 8:27Speaker 1: because they've since changed their bio. So it now reads,
- 8:30Speaker 1: not endorsed by Crumble, just fans importing. Now the release
- 8:34Speaker 1: they put out was incredibly detailed. And I think this
- 8:36Speaker 1: is because this is becoming a huge story. It's making
- 8:39Speaker 1: international headlines. And in the statement, they confirmed they were
- 8:43Speaker 1: not officially crumble, but claimed it was clearly stated in
- 8:47Speaker 1: their bio and comments. They wrote, our goal was to
- 8:50Speaker 1: bring the authentic crumble cookies to Australia by importing the
- 8:54Speaker 1: cookies directly from the USA. They also confirmed that the
- 8:57Speaker 1: cookies were genuine crumble cookies because there are a lot
- 9:00Speaker 1: of people on TikTok saying, well, did they just bring
- 9:02Speaker 1: in the boxes and make their own cookies? So they
- 9:05Speaker 1: confirmed that they traveled to the US to purchase them
- 9:08Speaker 1: and they imported them with their original packaging. They even
- 9:11Speaker 1: included receipts to show exactly how much they paid for
- 9:14Speaker 1: the cookies. The statement also addressed the trademark concern, saying
- 9:18Speaker 1: at no point did they use their trademark in their
- 9:21Speaker 1: videos on TikTok. But if you look at all of
- 9:24Speaker 1: the videos on TikTok of the pop-up store that other
- 9:27Speaker 1: people are sharing, you can clearly see that the crumble
- 9:30Speaker 1: logo is on a lot of the marketing material. Now,
- 9:33Speaker 1: in regards to food standards, because there was a lot
- 9:35Speaker 1: of concern by TikTok users saying, well, What would have
- 9:38Speaker 1: happened if someone got seriously ill from one of these cookies?
- 9:41Speaker 1: And how old are they? Yeah. So a lot of
- 9:43Speaker 1: people were actually saying, I actually felt quite sick after
- 9:46Speaker 1: consuming one. So the organizers claim that the crumble cookies
- 9:50Speaker 1: should be kept at room temperature in an airtight container
- 9:53Speaker 1: for up to three days or refrigerated for up to
- 9:56Speaker 1: seven days. That's not long for a cookie to last,
- 9:58Speaker 1: particularly when you consider the fact that they're full of sugar,
- 10:01Speaker 1: which makes them last longer. Yeah, they would have been awful.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So the organiser said, we kept them to these requirements.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Some were warm to enhance their texture, which is what
- 10:10Speaker 1: crumble does as well. I mean, what kind of proof
- 10:12Speaker 1: do they have though? Because they were importing a huge
- 10:15Speaker 1: amount of cookies into the country and Like I highly
- 10:18Speaker 1: doubt that these were refrigerated. Now, things got really juicy
- 10:23Speaker 1: when they released information on their apparent profits and costs.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So the organizers claimed it was never about making money
- 10:30Speaker 1: from this pop-up. They said it was all about bringing
- 10:32Speaker 1: the cookies to crumble fans. So is that why they
- 10:35Speaker 1: charged extortionate prices and $ 75 for a fucking cookie cutter? Like,
- 10:40Speaker 1: come on. I think they know they're in the wrong
- 10:42Speaker 1: because they've even itemized their costs. So they've said they
- 10:45Speaker 1: spent $ 4, 000 on flights and luggage to get the cookies back.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure they probably went over and had
- 10:50Speaker 1: a bit of a holiday in the US. They didn't
- 10:52Speaker 1: just go over to get cookies oh it's all very
- 10:54Speaker 1: professional why am I getting in my head Newman from
- 10:57Speaker 1: Seinfeld when he was brought in with all of the
- 10:59Speaker 1: bags of muffins like for some reason I just imagine
- 11:02Speaker 1: this you know just all these cookies and different suitcases
- 11:06Speaker 1: makes me feel sick um they also said that they
- 11:08Speaker 1: spent six thousand dollars on the cookies and packaging two
- 11:12Speaker 1: thousand dollars on duties and taxes because they did claim
- 11:15Speaker 1: the cookies when they brought them into Australia and they
- 11:18Speaker 1: said they spent over one thousand dollars on staff fees
- 11:21Speaker 1: So this equals $ 13, 000 in costs. Now, if you do
- 11:25Speaker 1: the sums, they had around a thousand cookies, which they
- 11:28Speaker 1: were selling for $ 17. 50. So I'm not taking into account
- 11:33Speaker 1: the cookie cutters, but they would have made around 17
- 11:35Speaker 1: and a half grand. So they're trying to imply that
- 11:38Speaker 1: they only made a profit of four and a half grand.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I mean, would you really go to all of this
- 11:43Speaker 1: effort for four and a half grand? Well, I feel
- 11:46Speaker 1: like they would have made a fuck ton if anyone
- 11:48Speaker 1: was buying those cookie cutters as well. But it's clear
- 11:50Speaker 1: that they did this for a profit. They didn't just
- 11:52Speaker 1: do it out of the goodness of their hearts because
- 11:54Speaker 1: they're so keen to bring these cookies to Australia. And
- 11:57Speaker 1: it's such a dumb move because they've opened themselves up to, one,
- 12:01Speaker 1: what if people got really sick from the cookies? Two,
- 12:04Speaker 1: the legalities around taking a brand's name and pretending that
- 12:08Speaker 1: you're part of that brand. Yeah, well, on the legal front,
- 12:11Speaker 1: they also went on to claim in this statement that
- 12:14Speaker 1: what they did wasn't illegal. So they said it is
- 12:16Speaker 1: called parallel importing. So parallel importing is defined as a
- 12:21Speaker 1: business who buys genuine products from overseas and imports and
- 12:25Speaker 1: sells them in Australia without authorization from the manufacturer. So
- 12:29Speaker 1: it's also known as gray importing. So a business who
- 12:33Speaker 1: is supplying parallel imports must, one, make sure the products
- 12:37Speaker 1: comply with Australian product safety and labeling requirements. And this
- 12:41Speaker 1: is where I think they might be in a bit
- 12:43Speaker 1: of hot water because I don't know if they can
- 12:45Speaker 1: actually say that it complied with Australian food and safety laws.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Where was it written that the cookies had to be
- 12:50Speaker 1: refrigerated after three days or whatever they're saying? Where I
- 12:55Speaker 1: think they might get in hot water is under the
- 12:57Speaker 1: consumer rights section of parallel importing. It states that people
- 13:01Speaker 1: engaging in parallel importing cannot identify a relationship or any
- 13:06Speaker 1: association between the seller and the manufacturer. And they have
- 13:10Speaker 1: come out on Instagram and TikTok calling themselves crumble Sydney.
- 13:15Speaker 1: If you are Joe Blow and you say that, you
- 13:18Speaker 1: just assume they are part of the crumble business. This
- 13:22Speaker 1: story is everywhere. And the Today Show interviewed Sydney lawyer,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Jahan Kalanta, who weighed in on the debacle. So he
- 13:28Speaker 1: said it was clearly a case of them scamming people.
- 13:32Speaker 1: And he even went as far as suggesting that the
- 13:34Speaker 1: real crumble should pursue legal action. He said the reality
- 13:38Speaker 1: is they pass themselves off as crumble and And once
- 13:41Speaker 1: they were called out online, all of a sudden, they
- 13:44Speaker 1: were claiming they're just cookie enthusiasts. They said they were
- 13:47Speaker 1: just here to provide an experience or a taste, but
- 13:50Speaker 1: it's a trademark infringement. Now, it's unclear whether the company
- 13:54Speaker 1: will actually take legal action against this pop-up store. So far,
- 13:58Speaker 1: we have only heard from one of Crumble's co-founders, Sawyer Hemsley.
- 14:02Speaker 1: So he actually commented on an Australian TikToker's video and
- 14:06Speaker 1: she had obtained 10 of the Crumble cookies from Sydney.
- 14:10Speaker 1: And he wrote, you need to try them fresh in
- 14:12Speaker 1: the US. P.S. This pop-up is not affiliated with crumble cookie.
- 14:16Speaker 1: So it's quite clear the big wigs are aware of
- 14:19Speaker 1: what is happening. Now, Sophie, do you think this is
- 14:22Speaker 1: actually good or bad PR for crumble? I've never heard
- 14:26Speaker 1: of crumble before, which I mean, people are probably like,
- 14:28Speaker 1: what the hell? But I haven't, I've never traveled to America.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So I don't understand the total craze over this cookie.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So for me, it's made me more curious to think about,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I wonder what it tastes like, wonder what the different
- 14:40Speaker 1: flavors are. And clearly the fact that there were thousands
- 14:45Speaker 1: of people or hundreds of people lining the street and
- 14:48Speaker 1: willing to pay $ 17. 50 for a cookie, it shows that
- 14:52Speaker 1: they must be delicious and it shows that it's a
- 14:54Speaker 1: brand that there's a lot of interest and intrigue around. Well,
- 14:57Speaker 1: this pop-up store has almost done a lot of hard
- 14:59Speaker 1: lifting for Crumble because they've already tested the market for them.
- 15:02Speaker 1: They know people want it desperately. But I think there
- 15:05Speaker 1: are aspects that's quite bad for Crumble because a lot
- 15:08Speaker 1: of people might not have been able to differentiate between
- 15:11Speaker 1: the real Crumble store and this pop-up and they might
- 15:14Speaker 1: assume that this is what their cookies taste like, old
- 15:17Speaker 1: and stale. So it's probably good for Crumble that there
- 15:20Speaker 1: has been so much publicity around it though. We'll have
- 15:24Speaker 1: to wait and see what actually happens to the organisers.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think this will not be the last we hear
- 15:29Speaker 1: of this story.
- 15:29Speaker 2: You are fucking about to blow up. This man's lifer.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Popular author Kate Forster has dropped a bomb on TikTok,
- 15:39Speaker 1: revealing that the husband of a well-known Aussie influencer has
- 15:43Speaker 1: allegedly impregnated a young woman he was having an affair with. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 1: before we get into the weeds, as a refresher, who
- 15:50Speaker 1: is Kate Forster? Well, her name will sound familiar because
- 15:53Speaker 1: back in August, we discussed how she'd gone viral for
- 15:56Speaker 1: calling out the Henny cardigan. That was actually one of
- 15:59Speaker 1: my favorite segments in a long time. And since then,
- 16:02Speaker 1: she has exploded in popularity on TikTok. She has over
- 16:06Speaker 1: 60,000 followers and she offers advice and she does funny reviews.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I absolutely love her content. I think she is a legend.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And she's really taken on this new role of an
- 16:17Speaker 1: agony aunt, which is why I think so many people
- 16:20Speaker 1: feel comfortable sending her in gossip because she said that
- 16:23Speaker 1: her DMs are full of information about influencers or people
- 16:27Speaker 1: in the public eye. And she doesn't know what people
- 16:30Speaker 1: want her to do with the information. Now, usually Kate
- 16:33Speaker 1: sits on information like this. However, she decided to reveal
- 16:37Speaker 1: a few details. So on TikTok, she shared a video
- 16:40Speaker 1: entitled Secrets in the DMs and added the tea is brewing. Now,
- 16:44Speaker 1: in this video, Kate revealed that a woman in her
- 16:47Speaker 1: early 20s is allegedly having an affair with the husband
- 16:50Speaker 1: of a quite well-known Aussie influencer. Now, the young woman
- 16:54Speaker 1: claims she is now pregnant and wants to keep the baby,
- 16:57Speaker 1: but the husband is adamant he doesn't want to keep
- 16:59Speaker 1: it and has not told his wife about the affair. Now,
- 17:03Speaker 1: the reason that Kate chose to divulge this rumour is
- 17:06Speaker 1: because she believes the information is true. Here's what she said.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It's just that the wife is selling this lifestyle and
- 17:15Speaker 2: it's not like that because the husband is fucking groping
- 17:18Speaker 2: for trout in a peculiar river, as Shakespeare once said.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So....
- 17:23Speaker 2: As far as I could tell, and she sent me
- 17:25Speaker 2: some Instagram receipts, I think it is true. And I
- 17:28Speaker 2: said to her, you are fucking about to blow this
- 17:32Speaker 2: man's life up if you go public with this because
- 17:34Speaker 2: she wants to go public. And I said, and you're
- 17:37Speaker 2: going to blow the wife's life up because she clearly
- 17:39Speaker 2: doesn't know or looks like she doesn't know. I don't know.
- 17:42Speaker 2: You can't tell anything about social media.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I feel really sorry for this particular influencer if this
- 17:48Speaker 1: is true because it would be awful if having all
- 17:52Speaker 1: of these people know this information about you, but you
- 17:55Speaker 1: don't know anything about it yet. Yeah. I feel a
- 17:57Speaker 1: lot of sympathy for her as well. Now, Kate was
- 18:00Speaker 1: careful not to outline too many distinguishing details about the
- 18:04Speaker 1: couple to the point where I'm struggling to figure out
- 18:07Speaker 1: who it is myself. Yeah. And I think it would
- 18:09Speaker 1: be irresponsible for us to even guess who it is
- 18:13Speaker 1: because you'd We have no idea. We don't even know
- 18:16Speaker 1: if this story is true. This is just a rumor. Now,
- 18:18Speaker 1: the only real clues are that the wife is an
- 18:21Speaker 1: Aussie influencer who is trying to build a TikTok following.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So that could be so many people and that the
- 18:27Speaker 1: couple are selling this lifestyle that doesn't appear to be true.
- 18:30Speaker 1: So I'm guessing they post about having the perfect family
- 18:33Speaker 1: and the perfect relationship. And in defense of this Aussie influencer,
- 18:38Speaker 1: if she doesn't know about the cheating and maybe she
- 18:40Speaker 1: thinks that her and her husband do have a perfect
- 18:43Speaker 1: relationship and she's been blindsided by the whole thing. So
- 18:47Speaker 1: what she is sharing online feels real to her, if
- 18:50Speaker 1: that makes sense. Yeah. I mean, look, we've spoken about
- 18:53Speaker 1: it before. A lot of what you see on Instagram
- 18:55Speaker 1: and TikTok, we all know it's fake. Yeah. Well, this
- 18:58Speaker 1: just makes me feel so sick because can you imagine
- 19:01Speaker 1: if your husband was having an affair and instead of
- 19:03Speaker 1: him or this woman coming to you privately and telling
- 19:07Speaker 1: you what happened, you find out by literally a TikTok video,
- 19:11Speaker 1: like someone going public about it online, presumably for clout
- 19:15Speaker 1: as well. Yeah, I was going to say, I mean,
- 19:17Speaker 1: what are her motivations for going public? I mean, if
- 19:19Speaker 1: she really wants the wife to know, why doesn't she
- 19:21Speaker 1: just contact her in her DMs and send proof? Why
- 19:23Speaker 1: does it have to be so public? And also, why
- 19:25Speaker 1: is she contacting Kate Forster? Yeah, I don't understand why
- 19:28Speaker 1: you would DM a total stranger about this private information.
- 19:33Speaker 1: The only reason I can think of is that This
- 19:36Speaker 1: woman is incredibly young and she's pregnant at the moment.
- 19:39Speaker 1: So she probably feels out of control and really vulnerable.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And maybe she's going to Kate because she's seen her
- 19:46Speaker 1: videos online. Maybe she views her as a bit of
- 19:48Speaker 1: a motherly figure. and she can't speak to her friends
- 19:52Speaker 1: and family in her life. Maybe they don't know that
- 19:54Speaker 1: this affair has been going on and she doesn't feel
- 19:56Speaker 1: like she can trust anyone else. Or maybe she feels
- 19:59Speaker 1: like they're going to judge her. But it is quite
- 20:01Speaker 1: a weird thing to do. It is really weird. I
- 20:04Speaker 1: have noticed this trend on TikTok, though, where a lot
- 20:07Speaker 1: of former influencers or just general people are calling out influencers,
- 20:12Speaker 1: but not naming them and saying they've had this run
- 20:15Speaker 1: in or this happened to an event. And it's kind of,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I mean, we're obviously talking about it now. We're not
- 20:20Speaker 1: naming any names. But one, as a viewer, it's incredibly
- 20:23Speaker 1: frustrating because you want to know who they're talking about.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I also really enjoy it because it's almost that fun
- 20:28Speaker 1: game of working out who it is, which can be
- 20:30Speaker 1: damaging as well. Yeah, the only people who would not
- 20:32Speaker 1: be having fun with this trend is the influencers themselves
- 20:35Speaker 1: who are then being like tagged in the comment section. Well,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I also think there's probably a part of this young
- 20:41Speaker 1: woman who wants the information to go public and that's
- 20:44Speaker 1: why she's telling Kate. Maybe she thinks that by Kate
- 20:47Speaker 1: putting this video out there, it'll act as a bit
- 20:50Speaker 1: of a warning to the husband that she means business
- 20:53Speaker 1: and maybe it'll force him to tell the wife. Well,
- 20:56Speaker 1: let's hope he's following Kate Forster so he can see
- 20:58Speaker 1: the video. I was interested to hear Kate's advice to
- 21:01Speaker 1: the woman. So she told her that she is always
- 21:04Speaker 1: going to be the mistress and that she is basically
- 21:07Speaker 1: going to fuck up her life by going public with
- 21:09Speaker 1: this news. She also told her that the husband is
- 21:12Speaker 1: probably having numerous affairs and she's not special and that
- 21:16Speaker 1: if she goes ahead with her pregnancy... her future child
- 21:19Speaker 1: is going to grow up with a shit dad. Wow.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And also if the wife does find out, that kid
- 21:25Speaker 1: will probably never be included in any family things. I mean,
- 21:29Speaker 1: the advice is pretty spot on. Well, she has got
- 21:31Speaker 1: a point there because if you think about any traditional
- 21:34Speaker 1: media stories that come out on mistresses or affairs, it
- 21:37Speaker 1: is always the woman's fault somehow. Well, it's quite interesting
- 21:41Speaker 1: because I don't know if Kate has been monitoring her
- 21:43Speaker 1: comment section and because surprisingly, there haven't been many guesses
- 21:48Speaker 1: as to who the couple is. I think that she's
- 21:50Speaker 1: kept it so vague that people aren't really sure, which
- 21:54Speaker 1: is a good thing, but also a bad thing, because
- 21:56Speaker 1: I wonder how many married Aussie influencers are now suspicious
- 22:01Speaker 1: of their husbands over this past week, like checking their phones.
- 22:04Speaker 1: She's probably had to keep it vague for legal reasons
- 22:07Speaker 1: as well, because you can't be making it too niche.
- 22:10Speaker 1: There aren't that many Aussie influencers out there It's pretty
- 22:13Speaker 1: funny because in Kate's comment section, people are calling her
- 22:16Speaker 1: the real life gossip girl and said that her advice
- 22:18Speaker 1: was spot on. And another follower said, what a loser
- 22:22Speaker 1: husband sticking his unprotected dick wherever he wants and has
- 22:25Speaker 1: a wife at home. I hope he gets what he deserved.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The response was quite mixed in our Facebook group though,
- 22:31Speaker 1: because many people were saying that they love Kate and
- 22:34Speaker 1: she's the best thing to happen to TikTok. Whilst others said,
- 22:37Speaker 1: felt like she'd lost them on this one. They thought
- 22:40Speaker 1: it wasn't really funny, particularly when children are involved. Well,
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm just surprised it hasn't popped up on Aussie Influencer
- 22:46Speaker 1: Updates or something like that. I have a bit of
- 22:50Speaker 1: a bones pick with you. Oh, I knew you were
- 22:52Speaker 1: going to follow me. Former Love Islander Anna McAvoy has
- 22:56Speaker 1: been left off the invite list of Tammy Hembrough and
- 22:59Speaker 1: Matt Sikalski's joint Hucks party. The festivities are kicking off
- 23:03Speaker 1: this weekend on the Gold Coast with With Anna making
- 23:06Speaker 1: it clear she's hurt not to be included. So Anna
- 23:09Speaker 1: brought it up on her and Matt's joint podcast. Let's
- 23:12Speaker 1: have a listen to what she said. So Matt Zukowski,
- 23:17Speaker 1: sitting in front of me right here, invited my brother
- 23:21Speaker 1: before I even copped an invite. I actually had to
- 23:25Speaker 1: ask for an invite from you. Fair enough. Which is
- 23:27Speaker 1: actually rude considering you crashed my hen's party. No, but
- 23:31Speaker 1: you didn't. You were like, do you have anything to
- 23:33Speaker 1: ask me? You answered the phone call like that. It's
- 23:36Speaker 1: just about the fact that we are long-term friends. Business partners.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I didn't want to waste anyone's time. It would be
- 23:44Speaker 1: nice to help an invite. Well, did I not say
- 23:46Speaker 1: you're more than welcome to come? I don't want to
- 23:48Speaker 1: be more than welcome to come. I want to be invited.
- 23:52Speaker 1: More than welcome to come feels like a pity party.
- 23:55Speaker 1: What an absolute cop out to say, oh, you're more
- 23:58Speaker 1: than welcome to come. I would not feel comfortable, one,
- 24:02Speaker 1: to book flights to the Gold Coast to attend a
- 24:05Speaker 1: party where I didn't get a proper invite because you
- 24:09Speaker 1: would literally feel like you were a second thought and
- 24:12Speaker 1: as if you were intruding on this. So the bad
- 24:15Speaker 1: PR train for Matt Zukoski is continuing. It's not a
- 24:18Speaker 1: good look for him. I mean, Anna sounded genuinely hurt.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You could tell it in her voice. And there's going
- 24:24Speaker 1: to be so much hype around this Hux party as well.
- 24:27Speaker 1: It's going to be all over social media. You would
- 24:30Speaker 1: feel so excluded. It's like a high school when you
- 24:33Speaker 1: don't get invited to the big party and you know
- 24:36Speaker 1: it's happening that weekend. And I always think that exclusion
- 24:40Speaker 1: is a form of bullying, like at school. I wonder
- 24:42Speaker 1: if it's because it's only Matt's male friends that are
- 24:46Speaker 1: coming as his half of this Hux party. Well, he
- 24:49Speaker 1: said that he didn't invite her because she doesn't quote
- 24:52Speaker 1: unquote like the culture that his mates bring when he
- 24:56Speaker 1: hangs out with them. Oh, so they're douchebags. Well, that's
- 24:58Speaker 1: what I was going to say. So does that mean
- 25:00Speaker 1: he acts like an immature jerk around his friends or
- 25:03Speaker 1: maybe his friends are not trustworthy when they're on the piss? Like, again,
- 25:07Speaker 1: that did not paint a good picture. Can I just
- 25:10Speaker 1: add in before we get anybody commenting in our reviews
- 25:13Speaker 1: that we've stuffed up the word bucks party, we're actually
- 25:16Speaker 1: referring to a hucks party. Now that is a term
- 25:19Speaker 1: for a joint hens and bucks party. Well, in terms
- 25:22Speaker 1: of who he's inviting, he has eight male friends. So
- 25:26Speaker 1: a handful of them are his groomsmen. So I get
- 25:29Speaker 1: why it could maybe feel weird if Anna was joining
- 25:32Speaker 1: them doing all the blokey activities. But I think at
- 25:35Speaker 1: the heart of this, she could have been invited to
- 25:38Speaker 1: Tammy's section of it because they're all planning on meeting
- 25:41Speaker 1: up at the end of the night at this Airbnb
- 25:44Speaker 1: to keep the party going. So she could have a
- 25:47Speaker 1: bit separate. Yeah. So it's separate. So she, but, but
- 25:50Speaker 1: Anna could have hung out with the girls and I
- 25:52Speaker 1: get that Tammy may be having a smaller group of
- 25:55Speaker 1: close friends, but you think you would try and include
- 25:58Speaker 1: Anna because she is Matt's close friend and business partner. Okay.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Now I get it a little bit more because I
- 26:03Speaker 1: initially thought that this Hux party was one joint party.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I didn't realize they were having separate things. I think
- 26:09Speaker 1: maybe this is a case of that Tammy doesn't really
- 26:11Speaker 1: want her there. And And she probably is friendly with Anna,
- 26:14Speaker 1: but if she's only having super close friends, then having
- 26:17Speaker 1: Matt's podcast host come there, it probably, I don't know,
- 26:20Speaker 1: it might open the door up for other people who
- 26:22Speaker 1: now will be offended that they weren't invited. I just
- 26:24Speaker 1: think it plays into these consistent rumors that there's beef
- 26:28Speaker 1: between the two of them. And that started when Tammy
- 26:31Speaker 1: was promoting Bondi Sands and not Anna's tanning company. And
- 26:34Speaker 1: then Anna put out this cryptic video, which seemed like
- 26:37Speaker 1: it was about Tammy, which I actually think is all crap.
- 26:41Speaker 1: But the sad thing is it just sort of buys
- 26:43Speaker 1: into this theory that they're not close. Even though, as
- 26:45Speaker 1: you say, if you were just having a super tight
- 26:48Speaker 1: and intimate hens party, you don't really want hangers on.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But in this case, it's clear that Anna is upset
- 26:54Speaker 1: about it. And I think it's also extra rude of
- 26:57Speaker 1: Matt because Matt attended her hens party. So she had
- 27:01Speaker 1: a three-day event and he dropped past to be involved
- 27:04Speaker 1: in the game. She said that he crashed the party.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And it did seem like Tammy wasn't actually invited to
- 27:09Speaker 1: Anna's hen's party as well. But if you think about it,
- 27:12Speaker 1: that was back in April. So Tammy and Matt had
- 27:16Speaker 1: only been together for five months and Anna and Tammy
- 27:19Speaker 1: don't live in the same state. So it's not as
- 27:22Speaker 1: though they've exactly had all of this time to get
- 27:24Speaker 1: close and hang out with each other. But now that
- 27:28Speaker 1: they are going to be friends for life, I do
- 27:30Speaker 1: think Anna could have been included. I just think it's
- 27:33Speaker 1: a case of Matt not explaining things properly to Anna
- 27:37Speaker 1: and not having that sensitive conversation where he's like, I
- 27:39Speaker 1: really want you there, but I don't know, would you
- 27:40Speaker 1: feel comfortable being around my friends? Or could have she
- 27:42Speaker 1: joined up when everyone got together at the end? Yeah,
- 27:45Speaker 1: but are you really flying all the way to the
- 27:47Speaker 1: Gold Coast to meet up at like 12 o'clock at night? Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I just think it's such a weird idea because Matt
- 27:52Speaker 1: said that it was his idea to do the joint party.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And his reason was that he wanted his friends and
- 28:00Speaker 1: Tammy's friends to get to know each other and build
- 28:03Speaker 1: a rapport before the wedding. But is it really good
- 28:05Speaker 1: to meet up when everyone's shit-faced at the end of
- 28:08Speaker 1: the night? Like isn't that when you don't want to
- 28:11Speaker 1: meet people because they're at their most obnoxious? Especially after
- 28:14Speaker 1: hearing Tammy's sisters interviewed on Matt and Anna's podcast. I
- 28:17Speaker 1: feel like I want to be a fly on the
- 28:19Speaker 1: wall of this Hux party. It's going to go off.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I wonder if the whole Hux party thing was down to–
- 28:26Speaker 1: a breakdown of trust because, you know, wild shit goes
- 28:29Speaker 1: on at Bucks parties. And maybe he knew that Tammy
- 28:31Speaker 1: would feel more comfortable knowing that they were sharing a
- 28:34Speaker 1: bed at the end of the night instead of it
- 28:36Speaker 1: being sort of up in the air. Well, Matt revealed
- 28:38Speaker 1: it's actually his best man that is planning the party.
- 28:41Speaker 1: And so far he knows that his best mates are
- 28:44Speaker 1: all flying in from Melbourne. So all the boys are
- 28:47Speaker 1: heading to an activity, then going to dinner for steak
- 28:49Speaker 1: and whiskeys. And then they're joining up with Tammy and
- 28:52Speaker 1: the girls at a joint rental. I can kind of
- 28:54Speaker 1: see even more why Anna wasn't invited. Really? She wouldn't
- 28:57Speaker 1: want to go to a fucking steak restaurant with these guys.
- 29:00Speaker 1: But I think the complete opposite. She should have been
- 29:02Speaker 1: invited to Tammy's shindig. Yeah, well, Tammy probably didn't want
- 29:06Speaker 1: her there as we've just established. But again, I've been
- 29:08Speaker 1: on the receiving end of this where I wasn't invited
- 29:11Speaker 1: to a former partner's best friend's hen's party. And it
- 29:16Speaker 1: doesn't feel good because you're like, well, they, especially if
- 29:20Speaker 1: they have a large group of people going, you're like, well,
- 29:22Speaker 1: do they not like me? Like, why didn't I make
- 29:24Speaker 1: the cut? It's very awkward. Particularly when this is going
- 29:27Speaker 1: to be all over social media, like you would just
- 29:30Speaker 1: feel like you were missing out. Now, Matt has one
- 29:32Speaker 1: big job to take care of ahead of his wedding.
- 29:35Speaker 1: And that is the removal of his ex-girlfriend's name, which
- 29:38Speaker 1: is tattooed across his ass. So he has Jen written
- 29:42Speaker 1: on his right bum cheek with a huge love heart
- 29:45Speaker 1: around it. It's Something that I personally would want my
- 29:49Speaker 1: partner to get rid of before we officially tied the knot.
- 29:52Speaker 1: But I don't think he's going to be able to
- 29:53Speaker 1: get rid of it before November, because I'm pretty sure
- 29:55Speaker 1: you have to have about a four week break between
- 29:58Speaker 1: each laser session. This wasn't his first laser session. He
- 30:01Speaker 1: had been putting it off because he found the other
- 30:04Speaker 1: session so painful. Why is he advertising this though? Well,
- 30:08Speaker 1: he's advertising it because he had a paid partnership. So
- 30:10Speaker 1: he realized he could monetize this process and he lined
- 30:14Speaker 1: up a deal with a numbing cream brand. So he
- 30:17Speaker 1: He is taking his followers along for the journey and
- 30:19Speaker 1: said he was able to return to get it removed
- 30:22Speaker 1: because he had the numbing cream, which made it less painful. Well,
- 30:25Speaker 1: remember Tammy had Matt's name tattooed on her. I think
- 30:28Speaker 1: it was at a White Fox event really early on.
- 30:30Speaker 1: And he ended up having Tammy on him as well. Oh, okay.
- 30:33Speaker 1: So he hasn't learned his lesson. He's got a list
- 30:35Speaker 1: of girls tattooed on him. Now we've had so much
- 30:38Speaker 1: to cover in today's episode that we're going to keep
- 30:40Speaker 1: our highs and lows of the week. for our subs episode,
